That is what has happened when you have a team that builds habits that actually plays together. That's actually on a string defensively that you in fact can play good transition defense in a moment like that. So, okay, let's backtrack a little bit. The last four minutes are fascinating. The Celtics, I thought they got really good shots for the most part. Every possession I rewatched the last four minutes. They were up 13. Four minutes to go. And they end up almost going down one. They're an inch away from going down one with about 15 seconds to go. It would have been one of the all time collapses in the history of the sport. Which they won and there's no asterisks here, but can I be honest? We're doing the finals review. "You're at home, you're at home for a game 7. You'll have your, you know, obviously the crowd behind you, the Celtics, you've put some doubt in their minds for sure. Game 7s, by the way, history of game 7s in the NBA. Only 34 road wins out of a 145 game 7. So that's 23% for the road team. Game seven's in Conference Finals. There have been 25 the road team has won 8 of those, so that's 32% actually higher in the Conference Finals than in all rounds combined. So the pressure is clearly on the Celtics, but the Celtics also, I think, have better health. I think that's clear. And then the heat did expend every ounce they had just to extend the series. So I mean, that is the absolutely the biggest concern manics. Can Jimmy does Jimmy have to have another 40 point type of game where he shoots 29 times something that you very, very rarely see from him. And if it's not that, then where are you going? I don't think you're going to see a 30 point game from Kyle Lowry. I don't know if we're going to get some miracle comeback from Tyler hero for game 7. I don't know if Victor Oladipo can summon his Indiana all star form for this game. There are a team that has been relying for the most part on just being a great ensemble all season with, again, no one dominant force who leads the way night after night. It is different guys every night, different combinations of guys. They are the classic better than the sum of their parts kind of roster. And in a game 7, I think you feel more secure if you're say the Celtics and you know, you know what? We're just gonna hand it Jayson Tatum. Jason, if you gotta take 25 30 shots, go for it. Jaylen Brown, you gotta take 2025 shots, go for it. You're gonna ride your best guys, I think at a time like this. And we know a game 7s two can get awfully ugly, right? They slow down grind, it gets physical, guys are tight, they miss shots, turnovers, it can get really muddy. Which, you know, I think the heat would say favors them because that's kind of their style anyway. So where all that balances out, Chris, I don't know. I think it'll take case like this. I'm leaning home team, but I'm leaning heat only or with the caveat that I don't know if they've got anything left with 48 hours between games. The Celtics sucked in game 6, like from top to bottom, they were bad. Jayson Tatum had 30 points and shot a really high percentage from the field and from three, but he attempted one shot in the fourth quarter. That's mind boggling. Jayson Tatum should not be attempting fewer shots than jaylen Brown. He should not be attempting the same number of shots as Marcus smart. He needs to be at 20 shots or more in this game 7 for the Celtics to have a chance to win. Boston obviously has to keep its turnovers numbers down. That wasn't that wasn't a huge problem in game 6..

"I just don't like the heat though. He never liked the heat. The beginning of the playoffs though. What in this game? 1718 points. 18. You just look at it. Bam, zero in this game. You'll get a good butler game here. There you got your one good bam game out of the first four here. And it just doesn't seem like there's much of a ceiling to that heat offense. Like they'll have some good nights, their defense can rock you in certain spots, but the Celtics offensive ceiling as you saw here was just smiles and miles beyond what the heat can be on their best night. Now I can't disrespect them because every time I do it, they come back and just punch you across the face. With that Gritty effort, but I just don't get it. I just don't get it. I'm just happy. You guys get it? Are you seeing someone in there? I get it. I mean, Bobby, I'm surprised you were saying that. I don't really get it. Because after tonight, but I get what you're saying, but you have to think about how pretty much someone you didn't expect to step up has done that every game for the Miami Heat. It's not like if something's like Miami's on the brink of elimination, that would be a different scenario for these guys. You know, I still have a chance. I feel like it's the chances of winning this series, but again, that's the thing about this series of every game that's been a while car. It's been a curveball. You know? I agree. "We have a couple other questions, but they're so they're so evergreen and I might want to hold them because my brain is so frazzled right now. And I don't really expecting that, huh? No, that kind of came out of nowhere. I wasn't ready to talk about the heat. They've been on my mind, of course, because I am going to watch that game tonight, I think, or at least the first half. And hopefully it'll be a blowout, but it won't. There's a something extinct. Listen, like I said, this is the kind of game Boston should win easily, you know what I mean? Please stop saying that. Please. Just stop saying that. I don't like hearing it. Yeah, man, they just. They've been a strange team. You mentioned that closing 5. I do think that's that's the lineup they're gonna have to win with. Like you said it hasn't played much. You just look at other teams around the league. The real contenders in my opinion, like every team has that one lineup that's like a 1213 14 net rating. They don't play it all the time, but they go to it when they win it's crunch time when they need the win when they need to pull it out. The great teams have that lineup, the heater expecting that 5 to be their lineup, but they haven't proven it to be that yet. A wild card in all of this and there's just I have truly not a single idea of what to expect as Victor Oladipo. Because if he's like 75% of all star Oladipo and you can close with him, to me, that is really a huge wild card for their season, but we've known anyone who's gonna be back, let alone, you know, what are you using to look like on the floor, but yeah, I just am a little they've been so reliant on threes in a way that specifically corner threes, which are harder to generate in the playoffs. Exactly. And yeah, it's just going to be it's going to be very interesting and I do think that last year's series gets a buck not to get into bubble talk or whatever, but I think there were more kind of. Last year's playoffs just had stranger results I thought than the bubble, frankly. Or last season, I think was just had so many more variables in it than the ones before. The bubble is one big variable, but last year was players returning from COVID and empty arenas or full arenas and blah, whatever. We don't need to litigate that. But my point is, as much as I am not necessarily worried about how that first run series against the bucks went, there's something we said about the way they defended Jimmy the way they defended bam basically daring them to shoot from the mid range and the heat frankly not able to capitalize..

It didn't work out and I've been in situations where the head coach had respect and it's our player new now to do what he needed to do. But Zion Williamson Has to learn how to be a superstar. He got superstars like talent. He's I think he's over exceeded at least my expectations and many of our expectations, but he's still in the custom like hey, kind of what are you In this league, and to me, it's no gosh darn excuse anywhere on anybody's planet that they couldn't get. The 10th seed are better in the Western Conference with two all stars on the same team. I don't need to go down that road, but ultimately he needs a coach who can get them in line. And ultimately, I love the idea of a former player or someone who can talk that talk because you've got to be able to relate to your players, and you've got one job as head coach in the NBA. Like I think people are kind of forgetting that based off of But Jeff Green the totality of his career, especially early on where he wasn't quite the some of what his athletic Parts would be he's kind of settled in really nicely is like being a fifth option on the court who doesn't try to do too much. You knocks down open threes and is a big physical body who teams can use defensively and he has that little bit of synergy. It's hard to imagine who's gonna be the player. That's going to take a significant back seat with three. Someone's going to have to. That's just reality. But listen, I think part of this trade to Jay and I think you know this is It's a bit of an insurance policy for the Nets For Kevin Durant. They want to be able to re sign him on his next deal. They've seen him return at an all world level, and he is the focal point of this franchise. He was for the beginning of that free agent score, bringing he and Carrie Irving. It was always about getting Kevin Durant. And now without really knowing what the future holds for carrier begin them and what his commitments gonna be whether they can really count on him. That that that celtics package seemed to highly unlikely to be something the pacers would go for. Tj warrant is coming off a monster performance in the bubble and victor oladipo for all his injury issues. last year is still an all star level player. You don't give up to players of that caliber to get a player. That play like gordon hayward frankly so the celtics. They didn't walk away with nothing because they do have tristan thompson. Now they do have jeff teague. But i can see jeff how miles turner would goodness celtics uniform. And the guy is a three point shooting mobile shot-blocking big man. He's not perfect. He's been called soft before there's questions about positional fit. But something tells me brad. Stevens could do well with versatile. Big man who can shoot three pointer. I i just.
