"Thousand twenty one winner of the best mattress in canada from lance ray What is the point of no move clauses if they can be waived by players. Isn't there a better way for players to have enough control like once they reach a certain age of years of nhl service. They get an opportunity to name three teams annually that they cannot be moved to something like that. I mean they do do that right. Maybe not under the context of the no move clause more in a modified note trade clause. But let's just say that it gives players more control but it does leave flexibility for the team to maximize the value of their assets. Your thoughts on the no move no-trade because they have kinda. It is protection for the player. But if i'm the general manager and ray ferraro is a no move plaza. And i come to ray and i say hey i'd like to move you. You're not what you want. Were your role is going to diminish all of that. Isn't that basically telling you that you're not really welcome anymore. So maybe there's a better opportunity elsewhere. It is and if i really like it there. I can tell him to beat it now. That's the whole point of having the no move. Don't negotiate the men. I can't believe general managers got so free with these no move clauses. It's their own fault. Yeah like negotiate in a ten team trade. The reason you like when lance says you know they can name three teams in or something like that gives lots of flexibility. That's the point when you earn this. No move clause or the team wants to give you one. You don't want the team to have any flexibility. The whole point is. I want to stay here. Yeah so if they get to a point you go and ask them. You don't have to say yes and the gm can say. Oh i'm gonna make your life miserable really how you going to do that. You're paying me millions of dollars now. Now it's tough like that. I just sorry. I just this stokes me a bit because i think this is one hundred percent on the general managers. Don't give them out. And if you lose a player that you have to give no trade to for eight years unless it's connor mcdavid. What are you doing that for right. Don't go get another player in some. Gm's do take that hardline position. I would say the majority obviously do not. But some do thanks for that lance from paul. Ray you played in the days of the single official and the role of the enforcers so based on lack of consistent officiating in the to rep system and multiple player injuries from second fractions headshots and limited to no accountability. According to paul. Would you prefer to go back to old time hockey. No chance i think we have a romanticism of what what we remember from the quote unquote good old days..

"You're ready for the performance players of the season. We've changed us up a little bit right. Thanks deanna hong who. They're promoting something different this week on the podcast right. We've talked about the wave runners. The boats the side by sides all of that. We've talked about all of that. We've talked about the outboard motors. Here's something that. I didn't know so i'm guessing you didn't know the a- of the week this week is the outdoor power equipment and you know what that means a generator. Apparently yamaha's raters since nineteen seventy three. You know really. Yeah and i'm interested in that because like interesting. Well yeah. I mean look. The power goes out with the cabbage. What happens you needed. You gotta you gotta get on that man. You sure you need a generator. You visit. Yamaha motor dot ca for more information or to find the closest dealer near you. And when i said we were doing something different with our performance player of the week. Actually shout out to rob gray. Who helps us with a podcast. Because he came up with a good idea. Even though i was stressed and thinking about it yesterday i lot going on on wednesdays back in the u haul of with you daughter katie. Lots of stuff going on. But we can't provide a performance player of the week because the stanley cup spin warded. And we did that last week in episode thirty so we're going positionally forward defence goaltender coach general manager performance individuals of the season. How's that so. Let's start up front live and he got up front. Wrap it up. it's an easy ones. Connor mcdavid he had two points a game many times this year. It looked like he was just playing a video game and he was faster than everybody else i. He had an amazing year for me. It's mcdavid i agree. So connor mcdavid for both of us on defense while couple of like some really good choices on the blue line I'm gonna take while becomes an easy. One i can take the norris trophy winner adam fox from From new york he really really was surprised in not the way produced points but in the way he played the rest of the game as well for me. Anyway he's better than i thought. I thought he had an unreal year. So adam fox's mike guy nice. I thought long and hard about our guests. Victor hedman former norris trophy winner. Five time finalist by the way not. I thought you don't want he's one enough back to back stab the norris everything that goes into the life of victor hedman. He's not going to be offended by me. Not choosing him. So i'm going with another youngster in in kalema car. We we talked about. You know kale's contract and how that's going to impact the colorado avalanche but as it should. I mean you know like adam fox. He just seems to be better and better and wind and right up nicely as he's barely entering his prime barely so Kale macara for me on defense gold standing. Think we're unanimous with this as well as the best goal in the game andrei vasilevskiy. He's man. I talked about headman earlier. And what he means that team. How about when you finally get down there. You finally get the puck finally get control. We've got that giant acrobatic athletic goaltender in the net I think andrei vasilevskiy is the best agreed and you know had been talked about being able to win the one. Nothing game right in game seven. And i think that vasilevskiy made on beauvillier on the break. So i agree. That's let's all right Coach of the year for you a..

"Going now on the android occupied gas by victor hedman of the tampa bay. Lightning victor first of all. Thanks for doing this. I mean debris from what is it. Now we're recording on thursday so ten days of celebrating which was richly earned but how much sweeter was winning the stanley cup at home in front of your family and friends now obviously very special and you know you can take away from the first one but do it at home game five in a one. Nothing game and a full out in full. Full crowd in the stands. Friends and family like you said was unimaginable and Something you never thought you were gonna be able to experience that. Was you know much so as dream come true which which cup was harder to win First or the second or the religious different there were different than way. Obviously i think the first one. I think everyone benefited from you know. Being in a bubble wasn't a whole lot of travel. You know the only time travel was from toronto edmonson. So you're in your bed. You know right away after game and able to recover but this time you knows different you a flying back and forth and doing all that stuff but you know. They're both very hard to win. It's not an easy stanley cup to win. So and and i've been in this league for a long time and it's taken a lot of a lot of ups and downs due to get to this point so so they will do back to back. Years is yeah it's Leaves you speechless when you when you win. At what point do you start thinking back over the time that you've been in the league in the time she didn't winner the times. You were hurt or the the stuff like wendy. When do you think of that in. It must be just amazing to look backing. Oh man we were there now were here. Yeah you know you look back in my first year in the league. We miss the playoffs. And you know going into my second year. You know mr vinick game in team. "It's such a tough business. You know we talk about land gog and you know. He's probably feeling disrespected. In all of this and with flat cap it's just business. That's what it is. But then you look at shea weber. I thought he was tremendous in the playoffs in particular in the stanley cup final. I mean brayden. Point was ready to lose his mind in that series because every time he looked up he saw this mountain of a human being shea weber and there's a laundry list right of of injuries. It's the foot it's the knees it's the ankle. It's the hands. I mean on and on and on it goes so it's a developing story. We don't know that shea weber is packing news at five more years left and a lot of money on the table. You know could be placed on long-term injury for potentially the entire season twenty one twenty two well. The national hockey league has to dive into that. So we're going to revisit this in many headlines to come here on the ranger eggs podcast. But it's it's a sad one isn't it because four. Is it just the body of every player that that gets to that point in his career where the body just can't do it anymore. Why i mean there. Is that the undefeated. Father time right yeah. Age gets everybody even. If it doesn't look like it eventually age. Get you but the injury volume for shea. Weber is as someone who's retired and gone through lots of injury and And seeing the repercussions of it as you get older. Feel badly for him because these things don't just go away when you get older like they. They could do whatever surgery they're gonna do. There's a there's a long term effect to this. But the thing is and i i know there's been lots written and talked to vote to the players. Know the long term effect of these injuries. You do but it's like when your dad told you something and until you get there you don't realize how his experiences is so worthwhile. So when i'm playing people are telling me i you know this might be an issue when you're older and i'm like yeah i'm thirty years old. Not worried about older. I'm worried about getting back in the lineup. Like i had without knowing what kind of surgery. Victor hedman had the other day. I had a meniscus surgery. And i played twelve days later because we were in a playoff race and my knee ballooned up all the time. And the doc said look we can keep draining it but if we drain it. There's this is not good for your knee. And i'm like let's drain it. We'll see how it works. And then a few days later i drain it again but it was my choice. My stubbornness to stay in the lineup. And she weber's not staying in the lineup because he thinks it's a fun thing to do although is awesome. He wants to play. He wants to win. And you know i. I hope long-term that that he's able to get sorted here. I mean these. Are you know this is getting around stuff right. Not just skating he. He must have been in a lot of discomfort but man he played hard. I i when. I'm reading those injuries. On like how the hell did he play the way. No kidding. no kidding Why don't we an headlines with a smile on..

"Had a great experience in the qs sixty earlier. This week just ran out to run an errand now even know where i was in some super mall parking lot. I always park away from cars right on a want. Anybody digging in the doors on this thing. It's beautiful kind of great blue collar guy. Wheels up leaves a stall open beside me in a corvette. Whatever you're that core was. I don't know it wasn't that old. And he'll be my god. That's beautiful garh is a book. Pop got thing. I gets around four hundred horsepower. His a high sought. And i'm like you know he. He boasted about having like four hundred and thirty seven horsepower. Or whatever in his corvette but he goes. My son saw that car he'd make me trade this thing and i just think two things he was drawn in by the look and then he wanted to tell you how many horsepower of course those are the two things going on there right there. I would look it. Looks great though. Drags it really does depend on my game though. Raya should've just automatically exaggerated. But i don't wanna tell you this thing's got like four hundred and forty five horsepower. Just to watch him twist a little bit. But i didn't know. I was being very honest so good. Well we had We had our infinity o camping last week. And you know we always talk about best in cargo or best in class cargo. Spada you've been camping. Drake's you gotta bring a lot of stuff a lot of stuff we had stuff in the infinity and it drove. Well it was comfortable like it always is. But i was looking out the back and i'm like i don't see the back. We have more stuff in there than is exactly how they tell us. It is when a nicely gave us the vehicles to use and mana loaded up and it was awesome was horrific. And look when when you go on vacation it makes sense. You know you're buying some stuff so you have more than when you left but when you're camping that shouldn't be the case. I just feel like you're probably more frantic. Just pack it in. Let's get going and get on the end of that packing job it's like i don't even know what i'm putting in here. Great podcast episode. Thirty one got full headlines of nhl news. "Have got mountains of news. Montreal shea weber situation zakheim in toronto. Gabriel land gog with colorado avalanche. I mean we're recording this podcast app so thirty one thursday morning and i feel comfortable in saying by friday night. Lot of what we've talked about it's going to be somewhat. Aided but jr is the season. You enjoy this time of year. Doing i kind of don't because it just means i'm on the clock twenty four hours so we don't love that aspect but i do like how the landscape of each club and league in general can change because of all of the activity. I like it a lot. I mean it's interesting. There's lots of cool things that happen. I fully support your twenty four hour work at work rate here during the next week or two weeks or whatever. It's going to be. But i like it. I think it's interesting because every player that is available. Most teams are most fans of team. Think how that player can help them. You know it's almost like silly season because some of the players. Yeah they would help but it can't happen. There's no money there's no fat. there's no something or other. So i'd like the enthusiasm. That's one of the reasons. I'd love to see there. Be some provision to retain salary on a franchise player. If a team so chooses. I think would open up some trades during the year. It's part of the interest of it and this month in hockey which is usually previous month. I mean this is the time. It's june july that things really hap- yeah i in a lot is going now but obviously got the expansion draft looming. You've got the draft after that you've got all sorts of trade scenarios that are in play and sometimes we over sell that in our business because you'll want there to be a ton of activity but there will be with july twenty eight being free agent frenzy. Don't have this in the headlines. But i want your opinion on this. You know it's a flat cap for this upcoming season. Maybe even the season after that right and look we know that the free agents coming into this past season felt it..

"It's not something that happens frequently. But like Tampa does have. I mean, Victor Hedman. I've used the word unicorn. A few times like Victor. Having someone of the Unicorn is not having a great year this year. But he is an outstanding all around player, a dynamic offensive defenseman and a great shutdown Defender and he is also 66 and can be mean like You have someone sort of built in that deterrent? I don't know. But like that's a player that commands respect on the ice just by his is his size, his stature Um, like that, that helps, you know, he's like he's like great wrist. Aligning basically is what he is like He can play. He's most years. This year's a weird here for him. Yes. Oh, I want him. But right I want him. Of course. Yeah, yeah. There's nothing there's nothing here that says Don't hire Victor Hedman, right? I would always How about always? I think all things being equal with with prospects. Right who I'm choosing to put on my team. If I've got a guy who's got a reputation for being somewhat tough I'm probably gonna favor that guy myself. But I'm not gonna put it. I'm not gonna insist that I have a roster of 20 guys that are like that. Because that's just not realistic. Just fewer and fewer of those guys in the league. One of the most interesting things about Wilson to me is that he is unlike maybe anyone else that's playing today. Well, maybe tonight there'll be more to talk about. I don't know. What the Rangers want to do. I wonder if the league is involved in trying to head off any sort of. Well retaliate. Some reference to George Parros being there in attendance tonight. "L. Hall of Famer and I'm sure one very excited man. Phil Esposito. How about that Last night, Phil? Well, it was a good win. But when we get that four minute power play like the game before, never scored. I I was like, dumbfounded because you cannot let opportunities like that go by, but we found a way to win. So that's good. You gotta work on the power players playing Dallas. You've got to get when you have those chances in the power. You've got it. Yeah. Oh, I'm so tired of them passing Drives me crazy, but I feel I thought I've got you in my head, too, because I'm watching last night and on the power play. Nikita Kucherov was one of the best players in the league. He at times will try so hard to make that perfect pass words like you do realise Nikita Kucherov. You have one of the best shots in the league, put it in the back of the net. Without a doubt. He does, even if he doesn't, um, even if he doesn't put it in back in that you shouldn't get it. On the net. There's a rebound Gold. Victor Hedman scored Your neck. Just threw it at the net on the rebound came right out and Victor put it in that still had. I don't understand. Not shooting. I don't I don't want to look. You know in the past because they just one. But how much pressure do you think would have been on this lightning team if they don't get it done in overtime last night, and they have to go seven games in this thing. Well, I don't know about the pressure. That's all I know. I go by past history, not with the lightning, but in these playoffs since this bubble thing and all this Endemic in all that, Um, teams were down three games to one. And I think three teams came back and tied it up. But they couldn't get over the hump to get a game core and it's a very difficult thing to win three games in a row. One year down 31 very difficult. I was But I would have been worried. No doubt about it. And I'm sure they would have been well, we just squandered something here. Um You know, we can't let this happen again and Well, I thought that whatever it was, they put it in the net name won the game. And how about Vasilevskiy stopping a breakaway? In overtime with a man short and they're on the penalty kill. We're in a power play, and he stops it. Club boat. How good was that? Vaszi has been just incredible is kept us in this Siri's and won it last night for them and Victor Hedman. Tio just keeps scoring and from a position where you're not used to seeing that type of output, Phil. We're right, Aaron. And you know, I picked the three stars after the game terrorists on our radio and, um, I could I said, I'm picking three first stars. I will give the goalie's a 2nd and 3rd star because I thought alarm was awesome, too. Like literally because he scored the winning goal. Good drove who I thought was unbelievable. Last night. And Edmund Victor has been absolutely sensational in these playoffs. If there's a consummate Candidate. Great Now, I would say it's headmen and vassal are incredible. And you know, we're all excited. "Do you buy that? And you play this game along time when you get a, a player like a Carlson, whose elites don't you have to take your chances, if it fits within the confines of Towery capita Brigham, I mean, you, I share explore all avenues to bring him in? I mean, here's a guy that's a world class player. I mean you're talking about probably the best defense -ment offense in the NHL. Yeah. I mean I look at Victor Hedman. He's more of an all around has everything you know, Bret burns. I really like him on San Jose. But you're talking about a guy, you know, Eric Carlson. He's fourth in scoring in the playoffs right now. He's got sixteen points. He's got I think two goals in fourteen assist. I think he leads the NHL playoffs assist right now. You don't find these guys too often, obviously, we've got to make the pieces fit the puzzle. Obviously Brayden point as a huge asset to our team, and to get him those two guys signed it's not going to be easy, but there's also getting two guys that go. I mean, we gotta keep everybody here we've got too many guys make it too much money. So you know what? You know you only get a shot to win the Stanley Cup so many times. I mean, this guy's willing to come here, maybe take a little pay cut 'cause I don't think it's about money for Carlson right now. It's about winning a championship, and some guys will take that pay cut of two or three million to take a shot for two years to win a Stanley Cup. 'cause that's all they wanna do. They want their name on the trophy. They wanna raise the Cup. They wanna ring and that's all they care about. They don't care about who wins the this, this, this, presidents trophy, the scoring defencemen or whatever they want the cop and, you know, as you get older and you play in the league longer that's your goal. And you know to win. Daily Cup and some guys get a chance at it and some guys never do. So this is an opportunity for him. And he knows Tampa has a good team and they're going to be hungry next year for what happened this year. So I'm not surprised that he wants to come here. Obviously Victor Hedman is a great friend of his. But at the end of the day, we've got a lot of work. I think Eric would, you know talked about. There's a lot of there's a lot of salary out there. I'm not sure what he'd demand but in the free agent market. I mean I talked to someone last year where they said, Detroit with from twelve million a year to Detroit because they really don't have anybody back there anymore. They don't have the stars in Detroit, any and they need someone for their fan base divisor actually back there now but talking to someone saying that they would be willing to offer twelve or thirteen million dollars to go back and play there, but yeah. Detroit to win the Stanley Cup years and years away. He's got no chance. You don't wanna be Joe Thornton, where you're talking about is. The guy with the most number of games played without winning the Cup. You don't wanna be that guy. And I think obviously Brian, you would know much more than I would have played the game..

"Arena years. Greg llanelli? Well, it is you don't want to say a must win game for the Tampa Bay Lightning. But certainly a game they need to have. Because you do not want to go down. Oh, three against the Columbus. Blue jackets only four times in the history of the National Hockey League is a team come back to win a series down three. So certainly the landing understand the challenge in front of them and with no Nikita kucherov tonight. It gets a little bit harder. But this team is facing adversity throughout the year. No doubt and still considered one of the best teams. If not the best team in the league, and they are going to be tested tonight in a hostile environment game three in Columbus. And you can listen to it. All right here on NewsRadio WFL a and lightning power play. Of course. I'm your host Greg Llanelli and joining us right now from Columbus lightning reporter lading broadcaster. She does everything for Tampa Bay. And we always enjoyed having her on that would be Kaley Shelley and Kaley first off great to be with you. And give us a sense of what the mindset is for this lightning team. How was it at the? Morning skates. And I've got to think of team who they're not panicking. I'm sure pretty focused, but they understand they need to get a win tonight. Don't they? Absolutely. I think there's no question that game. Three is a must-win. I don't think you can expect necessarily to come back if you trail three now saying, so it's not an ideal situation. It's not a whole day thought they were going to be in. But you know, Ryan Callahan was asked this morning if he was the prize, and it's like, he's he's not surprised at Columbus. Play the way. They did they knew they were going to get a very tough opponent. I was gonna play them hard playing loose nothing to lose. And that's what happens in the playoffs. Momentum swings different factors come into play. But in game one, you know, Columbus ended up playing very tight defensive game a very structured game in game two playing with the lead. So you never know. But I think the big thing for them is they know that they haven't played a complete game yet in the series. It's only game three now. So although they're down to nothing. You know, Ryan Callahan. Said this morning you win one game. You're right back in there. Then it's anybody's game for game four. And so I'm so this is a must-win game. It's going to be challenging they're gonna expect a tough. Crowd in nationwide arena tonight. But as you said, there's no panic in the room, they're feeling loose as they should be. And and feeling like, you know, after hearing their conversations the effort is they're the ones is there. It's just that they need to play smart and for them, you know, that means a few different things. And in offensively. That means they need to start getting some zone time. They need to reestablish their for check. When you look at the first period of game one. I mean, they had Columbus completely on their heels. They're defenseman just leaving players like Torelli Gord wide open on some of their goals. I think they know what they're capable of. And they have a lot more to prove now come game three. And there's no other options they have to play arguably one of their best games of the season tonight. If they want to find a way to crawl back out of this to nothing whole Kaley. What is the status of Victor Hedman? And if he can't go who replaces him, and how does that change Tampa Bay in the way, they defend an attack Columbus tonight? I think it's really hard. Obviously Victor Hedman is a key part of their blue line. But he's also a catalyst for them on offense. He quarterback that top power play unit. So his status as right now. John Cooper said at the option on morning skates. He's going to be a game time decision. So we didn't see him on the ice for the optional morning skate. We saw Anton Stroman richer into the ice. But he was also among some of the players like Cameron gone was recalled Danny Marquel? Nikita kucherov and Louis Deming who will not be playing in tonight's game, though, not necessarily an encouraging sign that Victor Hedman will be back. We may see Brayden Coburn and bring some of his veteran experienced the lineup tonight in place of Victor Hedman, but it's a huge loss. I mean, he he obviously had that unfortunate collision with haggling against DC unsure yet and upper body injury. Not sure if it was related to his head or not. But then again Anderson lay the huge hit in game two on him. He finished the rest of the game still uncertain. Exactly. What is injury. And I don't think it's fair to speculate. What it is. But you know, John Cooper said he got a little bit banged up. And if he's not ready to go, he's not ready to go. So that's gonna be a coach and medical decision there. But they've talked about all season long, you know, their depth and being able to step up. I think when Victor was out for a seven-game stretch from late October exiting that Vegas game and coming back against Ottawa November eleventh, you missed about seven games and in their absence room. Brian mcdonagh stepped up to the plate had eight points in seven games the team finished five and two. They have the ability to rally behind, you know, Nikita kucherov suspension, which they're going to have to do. But especially Victor Hedman out. They know that some of their key players air chur next to ever going to have to eat up, some more minutes and step up to the plate. So it'll be interesting to see of quarterback this first power play unit. I think he got some experience with had been missing four regular season games at the end of the season with the upper body injury. So I think he's feeling a little bit more comfortable and his offense. Instincts and skills speak for themselves when you're watching him. So it's gonna be a tough task. But they certainly can draw on experience in the sixty to win finish this season that they have the ability to look at their depth and their experience and find ways to win Chile. Chile's joining us here. Newsradio WFAN leading powerplays. We get you set for lightning and blue jackets game three coming up in just a bit. You know, Kelly. It's interesting. I thought in the first game of the lightning scored three probably could have had more for Brodsky was really good particularly in that second period. But you felt like in game two Tampa Bay really didn't threaten too much. And I'm wondering has the team talked about trying to get a little bit more traffic in front of LeBron's ski gets them. Dirty goals. Get some deflections easier said than done, of course. But it seems like if Columbus is going to be scored upon dirty goals. That's how you're going to have to do it. I think so I think from what we're hearing right now it's a little bit of both. I think there's times as well. When they were maybe a little bit tentative or hesitant for whatever reason where they weren't sure if they should be using their skill. You know, John Cooper spoke after the first game that we wanted to have that shooting mentality as opposed to shut it down mentality. And I think there may have been, you know, some uncertainty and that happens when you lose your confidence. And that's why the playoffs. They're so dangerous because it takes one play one shift one game for a team to lose their confidence. And same thing goes to get it back. So I think that they're going to continue to rely on their skill. And and the way they can move the puck because that's one of their greatest strength, and it has been, but like you said a lot of the players this morning and yesterday had talked about the importance of just getting some offenses don't time they need to be able to put the pressure on them much like they did in the first period of game one and be able to establish their for check. And if it means they're not going to get as many, great H&_R. They're not going to be able to move the puck east west the way they liked to with some of the. Those high end skills plays that are bang bang. Then that's exactly right. I think that they have to ship it in getting that bump presence move the puck from low to high and get some shots from the point on it. That's what they have to do. So I think the key here for them to be playing a patient game. Because when they face teams earlier this season that gave him a little bit of trouble defensively or shut it down. I think the lightning when you look at games like against Minnesota or against the islanders. Dave Michigan had talked about early this morning with me. They did a great job at staying patient. And and doing what they needed to do to win that game, not necessarily, you know, have that shooters mentality where okay, I gotta get it up as fast as I can. I think they want to do that. But they have to make sure that they're chipping it in and making the right reads knowing when to go in knowing when to pinch and their team, obviously that's proven and they did that in the regular season. Very well with sixty two wins on the season. I don't think they can forget that. And I don't think they will going into tonight. So there are team how Johnston said yesterday that has not played a complete game yet in. In this series. Why not game three? It's it's a must win doer Di scenario really innocent toward that. They've gotta get their confidence back and get some momentum. So I think you're gonna see a good response from the lightning tonight Kelly. What about the power plates spin for five so far through two games? It appears Columbus's really holding them up at the blue line making it difficult for them to bring the puck in with speed. You get the sense that Tampa Bay's just going to have to do a good old fashioned dump and chase grinded out really hard and get to work on the power play from that standpoint. I think so I think it's it's not really own necessarily, especially when you look at some of their high end players who Trump Sam. So, you know, they're so good at entering zone with the puck and carrying it in that way. But if there without Victor Hedman an kucherov they have to play smart as which is what they've been saying. So I think JT Miller gave some good insight into Columbus strategy in these last couple of games, and they're playing it like it's five on five. They're pressuring up there making it very difficult to get on the inside. So I think you're right. I think between you know, what you said. And what J T Miller had also said yesterday a lot of it is just compete. You know, they have to up their level. They have to up their compete, if they're going to chip it in the first part about, you know, getting possession is going to be recovering the puck. So they can get there. Then they can set up the play and starts to run their offense the way they'd like to. So I think all of that kind of comes down to compete level and playing with some intensity. So if they aren't able to do that they're gonna make it that much easier for Columbus to be able to disrupt the place. So I think their power play obviously have. Isn't executed, and maybe that's one of the bigger surprises in this series. Is Columbus special teams have outplayed the lightning. However, I think that even having Victor Hedman and kucherov out. Mcdonagh had said yesterday, you know, maybe this is a chance to get a little bit of freshness in the lineup. Columbus can't necessarily do the pre scouting that. They would like to have you know?.

"The Rangers out shooting the lightning thirty five to twenty eight lighting played to overtime slash shootout games in a row both have gone to the shootout overall this year. There are eleven at four five and three and six and one of the shootout Rangers seven at night overall just wanted seven in overtime. But they've been excellent of the shootout six two. Point line was in serious jeopardy. Their last shift out there. They're a stock out there. They're retired three kinda careless plays by kucherov turning the puck over, and that's what caused him to spend so much time inside the blue line fortunate that they didn't give up a great ace scoring chance or many of them but still caused them to be in jeopardy for a long stretch here. So we'll see who starts this three on three kucherov was really tired out at New Orleans pointed Gujrat, but they just had a tough shift. It's not gonna be damned to start looks like Sarah Lian stammer along with Victor Hedman start discipline. Can't remember if I mentioned it. But I mentioned it again overtime brought to you by orange theory, fitness keep burning bass Lobski like the second period back in the net to our right. Your given the goal to our left. Subtlety Sara Lee stamkos in headman. Start over time for the lightning. Stroman stamp ghosts. From center ice. You can win this game. It'll be their tenth in a row. A franchise record. As it is. They are up to at least one hundred one points escape has got it over time Strom wins the draw and flex it. Back in his own and slides it for Tony Dangelo. Why the near said to visi or as a goal and assist tonight. Easy magazine air quarter on the far side rolls path. Everyone up the far board comes into the light. Again. Victor Hedman takes over the side aisle. At Anthony, Sara Lee. Here's an overtime game with a goal in Philadelphia earlier this year, so really and his exacts his way out towards center ice drops it off for headman admit fighting the puck a little bit kinda crawls back to his own end for regroup. Head mental drift back in front of ASA Laskey chip it for Anthony Sorolla doctor.

"You go to the game. And Phil not a happy night last night. It's. We've been saying all along that the Tampa Bay Lightning's defense has been a little out of kilter here. And last night. We just didn't score enough goals to overcome Toronto. Well, if you think back to the game at Dallas, the vast Celeski was fantastic row last night. Anderson. The Toronto netminder was really good. I thought the lightning played one of the better games last night. There was about four or five players at work into it, mentally you could see that by the way, they were playing but other than that. I thought there was one of the better games that last goal that went into the empty net worth. So bizarre. Bounced off the glass, I guess, and but you could see Victor Hedman just put up his arm like it went out and stamkos and every all everybody in the lightning team, just stopped. And the guy just picked a pickup put an empty net. But they still had fifty seconds to go in the state softener zone in the Toronto's only. You never know. You know, you got had about four or five great opportunities. But look, I don't think anybody. The whole league expected the lightning be now the ten losses and forty eight gapes. I just don't think that anybody thought that at least I didn't push sure, but they played well enough to win. They found ways to win last night. They didn't find a way to win their power play. Had a lot of great opportunities didn't score and. What your best players aren't playing as well as they should be. I thought stamkos last night was great. I thought headman was great. And I think you stop it right there. When you look ahead, you know, towards the playoffs in the Eastern Conference alone from everything we've seen all the teams we've seen this year. Is this the toughest competition? They could face in the playoffs. The Toronto Maple Leafs. Look, I think if they had to play the islanders with berry coach, she just finds a way to shut everything down and makes the players play the way he wants them to and they do it. That is a team might be worried about Boston is another team. But they're all good. I don't care. The parody in this game. Is so close that you just cannot take any nights. If you do you're gonna get burned. Now, the lightning play again on Saturday, then they got ten days. Regroup you know, really? Ignites Saturday for sure. The big game Jack because they lost the game tonight or last night. So it's a big game on Saturday. And I don't want to go into the break with a win. Yeah. You don't wanna have ten days to think about a loss for sure, but Phyllis Procedo, the lightning founder, the guy that brought us the lightning, and ultimately, Jeff Vinik and channel side, and all the other great things here will the talking to you next week. You gotta Jack have a great weekend talking about the win. I hope.
