"About number one. He's just more accurate than josh allen. Josh allen has arguably the second or third best receiver in football stefan was the best player on the field on saturday. Night at buffalo against the ravens and josh allen has turned his life and game around because when in doubt he just throws it in the direction of stefan digs baker. Mayfield lost guy that a lot of people thought was a top five receiver in odell. Who i thought actually hurt bakers progress stunted his growth because baker forced it to odell way too much and baker over his last thirteen gains after odell unfortunately went down and out for odell. Look what he's done. He's completed sixty four percent of his passes. He's completed twenty touchdown passes to only three interceptions when he threw that one too. Honey badger new right honey badger just treating e slick tricked him that was his only as second interception as last three and sixty nine tents he has grown up and grown. Very careful with the football. He is more of a leader to me than josh. Allen is because he's just electric. He's a lightning rod. He's full of you. Know what in vinegar as the expression goes and i don't always love what he does but i love the body language and i think his team thrives on it. His team is lifted and inspired by it. He lifted the browns to their first playoff game in in like one hundred years and what he's doing in a career that's lasted only three years. He's played for four head coaches in four different coordinators. That's outrageously wrong. Especially for a young quarterback to overcome. He is finally living up to the hype that he is built with all those commercials all those progressives and who lose heismanhouse commercials way too many for a third year quarterback in my point of view but he is living up to the target that he drew on his own back because they did have a chance to win. Yesterday and i thought he played very well on the road in a big playoff game against a very rested team with a very good underrated. Good win that game. Skip hobos out. You got eight minutes. He got to place to win the game. He had a second and third down in which the ball was in his hands. And they max bliss and he had to throw the ball away on the first one on the second one. He had hit his check down and it didn't work last four minutes. The game you never got the ball is amazing. When they're not sitting back that you just throw ball they come get you if amazing where the pressure does people so. You gotta pick josh allen to win at kansas city. Well well no well. He came close to home. Does play do you believe you can win the kansas city. Who josh altogether. I don't know that'd be a toss up to me. I it'd be a close guarantee they say.

He's not the running game is okay. The offensive line was was down a little. I'm what it's been. Look bill bill belichick. As he neared seventy years of age said. I want a shot to show every body. I was the reason. I want the ability. I have earned the right to show the world that i will quickly turn this around into another super bowl team without that guy who is getting way too much of the credit for my taste said bill right and yet it was up to. Robert kraft to referee into pick aside for years. He picked tom saw- until the bitter end. When you had it on a platter for tom to play to three more years and call it a day and a career and a dynasty in new england which is the way it should have been right but kraft said no at this point. I got aside with my coach. He and his coaching staff are whispering to me. He's he's about done he's losing it. he's he's starting to show diminish skills. You remember skill. When tom brady said this. Probably probably like forty maybe thirty nine forty he says i want to play till forty five with. Tom said that. Mr cramp even backed. It did tommy. They won't play the forty five co-develop check never said anything about the good bill. Just try to get through trying to get through the next game. I'm trying to get a season. So coach bela check. Never was on board with the forty five. Like todd mr craft was and so at the end of the day like you say mr kraft's like make a decision okay. Let's just say. For the sake of argument i choose. Tom and tom played one more year. But i'm without coach belichick for the rest of my career and so he went with the coach over. The the better question is was mr craft feeling gone. You don't go. They don't give a damn. I agree but robert kraft has to be shaken. His head quietly. You'll never say so. Publicly insane thinking. Because i promise you today you're going to see a whole lot more number. Twelve buccaneers jerseys pop up in and around boston. You watch also crap also knows like i say. Carson Wentz is the first Philadelphia Eagles QB to not have a passer rating of 100 in first 8 games since Doug Pederson in 1999

"You see this amazing, ironic stat about Carson Wentz. He's the first Eagles quarterback so none of the past a rating of 100 any of his first eight games since Doug Peterson in 1999. That tells you all you need to know it. Well, it does two things one. They've had a pretty good run pretty good run of quarterbacks here. They have played a good amount of games, right? Like the Mark Sanchez will pop in there now and then. You know who else has been in Mike? Mike McMahon will pop in now and then, But like no guy that they went into a season thinking was their quarterback has played like this. They had. You know, they've had Donovan. They've had Mike Mike Vick. They've had Nick Foles. They've had Sam Bradford. They stopped Kevin cop but didn't play eight. No, but he was there opening. This was open. They started even I saw Cobb was going to be a I don't want. Yeah, I think we have a pretty decent NFL quarterback. The concussions ruined him they had once like they've had for 20 years now. Above average quarterbacks, at least talent wise starting season like the Eagles don't tryout, bad quarterbacks like something's D'oh. They get caught in the spell that draft him bad. The girls have a good track record of having pretty good quarterbacks on the field of battle. What I mean this doesn't happen. This is Doug says Doug was the coach around here. It's It's amazing how how that kind of played itself out

Stock market turbulence could last until the election

"Now it's going to check on the markets. Joining us now is Abigail Doolittle. So when I looked at literally looked like people Buying from which everything have ago. Yeah, real risk on day here at least relative to stocks. Commodities a little bit less so, but we have big gains for both the Dow and the S and P 500 NASDAQ less so I'm not sure that has so much to do with the election last Friday, there were some saying that perhaps last Friday could turn out to be the pre election lo similar to 2016 when you're the two weeks into the election. Down weeks, and then you had a big rally in the election weekend out of the election. What's very clear, though, is we have lots of selling in the tech space that probably has to do with JPMorgan, saying that they're lightening up on their overweighting positioning to a neutral. They expect some of the more cyclical sectors to take hold, and that has nothing to do with the election. They think that will happen. No matter who wins the presidency. What they do say, though, is and this is not surprising that what investors really want relative to the election is certainty that they want to know who is going to win this election and that once that's in place that's going to be a real positive for the markets and one sign of that uncertainty. That you and Jeanie and Kevin were just talking about bonds. We actually have bonds rallying in a big way on the day after selling off last week. Never dull moment, David. Yeah, because it isn't But one thing you follow, I know is positioning. Is that telling us anything are people hedging? What's going with the vics? The vics is actually damn just slightly today, but the vics continues to suggest that yes, investors are heading into the election. The vics has been outpacing the VX N or the tech index, Vicks. Which is pretty interesting visit again suggest that relative to regular volatility as opposed to that mega cat volatility. Investors are starting to bring up the hedge in terms of anything can happen and something else that I've been watching for the last few months, the S and P 500 stuck in this huge range of congestion on there's one line of thinking that says That is in the three months ahead of the election. The stock market is up that supports the incumbent. If it is down that supports the contender, David right now it's on the wire, suggesting that the markets are far more uncertain about the outcome of this election. Then the Poles are exactly the Poles may not be reliable, so we'll find out soon enough. Thank you so much as it's Abigail do little reporting on the markets.

Boston - Patriots-Chiefs Week 4 Preview

"We are joined now by sports NFL analyst Michael Vick Michael What. Do you give camp in the Patriots against the chiefs this weekend Got A shot. So always a fifty, fifty chance to anything can happen in. The New England patriots could be the first thing that upset the city chiefs this season but a couple things are gonNA have to happen. The defense is going to have to come to play, and unfortunately for the past, there's only one Stefan. Gilmore. On a fail the other corner nefer right side opposite again was not step up tremendously and try to somehow someway lock down the trio receivers. The Kansas City chiefs has that. Pretty much ran right though on Baltimore Ravens last week in the Baltimore Ravens headed great secondary and I watched them go up and down the field with ease and. It was because of the speed that they possessed. Throughout combinations and the play call them angry they made that game so difficult. But in terms in their pages, ball control is going to be essential. Whether this cam running back back admitted, they're going to have to control the clock, keep the chiefs off the feel as much as they can and try to score as many points as they can. But I think the biggest Kansas game is just winning the game time possession a not length touch Rome's get out and be as dangerous the threat he's GonNa be because you can't stop Patrick you can only hope to contain them. Anger going to let him loose. In as as a team, you've really gotta find their rhythm early if you donate New England. Patriots said, I think that's GONNA be in the run game they have to control the clock down to control the town possession in keep Patrick mahomes on Saturday next avery.

Wall Street Week Ahead: After monster rally, investors cautious as U.S. recovery wobbles

Wall Street Week Ahead: After monster rally, investors cautious as U.S. recovery wobbles

"We start with that monster rally on Wall Street today the SNP up more than one and a half percent and the Dow jumping over four hundred points. As you can see there, the Nasdaq also up nearly two percent leading those markets, higher energy stocks, financials, and the small caps as well. Investors appearing hopeful a new deal for stimulus is coming down the Pike but markets are still down significantly for the month does today's action give you a reason to perhaps be more optimistic and for that perhaps I I will turn to you first. dominated. Welcome. It's always wonderful to have you on board got a bonus hour with you. So that's fantastic and you know I think the answer. Your question is yes but you can't say that in a vacuum something we talked about over the last couple of weeks was you probably see a short term market bottom on a day the market sells off and the volatility index sells off with it and you actually saw that. Over a few days, NOP can speak to this vicks topped out around thirty six, and as the market was selling off, the VIX was selling off down to the twenty five and a half level that gave you a pretty good indication that maybe we were going to bottom. I mentioned that because one of the things we said now for a while off that low that we made a week and a half or two. Weeks ago the obvious move at this point was probably a moved back to the prior all time high of thirty, three, ninety, three that we made back in February and Steve can speak to this because now does that make sense for that reason it also makes sense because it would be a text book, fifty percent correction of the recent, all time high and the low. We made a couple of weeks ago. So the. Answer is yes. But let's see what happens when we get there and when I say when because I do think we're GONNA rally another forty or so snp handles. All right. So Steve, let's bring you in because guy teed it up for you. There is this level is this a market right now the action you've seen that makes you feel as though you're comfortable being long comfortable putting new money to work right now. So I know everyone wants to have that gut instinct of being positive on the overall market and this market has shown you nothing. But positively, because that gap tom is closing from the corona bottom to when we finally actually restart the economy. But you talked about a couple of levels, fifty percents I'm sorry, the fifty day moving average I heard you talking about today on air thirty, three, fifty, three. So we closed right around that level that's why people are keying in on that level where did we bounce from the hundred day moving average which was thirty, two tech? So this is technically A great set up to play it for a bounce. But the problem is we still have what the problem was. We have an overbought market granted. We work that awful just a little bit. But what has been the most overbought the tech space the most bloated names, those six or ten names that we all focus on. Doesn't mean that. Have not. Rally doesn't mean that other sectors have doubt rally. But it's time to take a pause because the market and the economy or two totally different things. A lot of volatility going forward the biggest thing for me dumb month end quarter in this week. So I heard. I heard it was mentioned prior to us on closing bell I still think it's a big deal I. still think people were under weight energy. We had emanate today I still think people are underweight financials. We saw those rally today what sold off what rallied into month and I think that's what you have to keep an eye on. Let's see if it lasts a week or so Tim Seymour over the last week over the last five days of looking at our screens here it says that the big one of the bigger cloud computing. Is Up over three percent semiconductors that particular ETF the ticker SMH look at a lot is up over three percent right now for five trading days, we also saw financials and energy to Steve's point lead the rally today. So those are two different parts of the market both assuming some kind of leadership role does that then mean that there is this kind of all clear signal, the bad and the good are going up at the same time. Downgrade having you getting me to say you've got an all clear signal is something that's tough to do But I I hear where you are, and if you look at the triple cues and the Nasdaq one hundred, you've rallied almost six percent over three sessions. The semi's which they have multiple times over the last couple of years and certainly coming out of the worst dacoven to have have certainly been a leader and something to follow it. In fact, they've they've kind of lead the way. So both of these are now back over the fifty Todd Gordon will be your to talk some. Of the technicals and a bit, but you're talking about the broadening of the market and to the extent that maybe you're excited today about the move in retail and in small caps and along with that with the banks, and if you look at the European banks were up over three and a half percent. So these are the parts of the mark that I think people wanna see the good news for all investors. So back to at least where you've had an all clear and where I don't think anything has changed is the guys who talked about some oversold conditions I have to do that I. Think. The Nasdaq can contract can correct further down and I I mentioned kind of those late June early July levels but the Fed is still very much your I think the payroll numbers this weaker are going to give you some sense of where the labor market certainly is going to need a lot more fiscal health than just with monetary policy is but I think you've got a case where you've at least seen parts of the economy. Especially, the transports give you a lot of reason for confidence in terms of leadership and they lead you on the way down from two thousand, eighteen to. Twenty thousand nine hundred and transports have been outperforming the market for the last almost four months now. So many key bellwether esque type parts of the market that we're watching right now. So I'M GONNA turn now to Pete and Jerry, and I know that you're on the news line with us right now at CNBC let's talk a little bit about what you're seeing in terms of trading action there is there something that makes you feel as though this is a constructive environment or are we do for a little bit more consolidation perhaps even some more discount pricing in the coming weeks ahead of the election. Well I certainly could see the consolidation side of it. Tom. This. Also though in the derivatives world where I live I gotTA. Tell you something a lot of bullish activity over recent weeks and and it just continues to come come in now A. Lotta that short term today we are seeing a little bit longer term type offer. Options that we were seeing whether we're buying in major indices. So I'm not even just talking specific names or whatever. I'm just talking about indifferent indices across the board we're seeing some buying. So it felt like a bullish tone potentially, but not as much short-term as we had been seeing that makes it a little bit more interesting because it's very easy to sit there in the very short term in. This movement that we are seeing but to commit to buy those kind of premiums that you've got to to be able to go out to January and December that says a lot more about what the what, what they really are feeling those very large buyers out there in the marketplace. So volatility guy brought this up and I just have to address this real quick volatility was selling off all day. It was doing early then it started to sell off. We actually nearly closed on the absolute lows of the session, which was pretty interesting to see how that volatility index was coming down as market came down from being up five hundred down to four hundred yourself. A lot of different things going on right now. But certainly, there are sectors that I'm impressed with the do lead us a little bit. More so out where we have been recently light transports like material and a few other names I like seeing what we thought financial today. But that's one day. We haven't been able to see financial foot back to back to back days together for a very long period of time. So that nothing I think we got to watch very very closely. All

He is still left out which for so many of us for you to. ADDS a hypocritical sheen to all of it. I mean, I don't know I can't fully embrace what the NFL is doing until he is welcome back into the fold in a serious way. I mean, one of the. made the final cut I. Don't remember off the top of my head but wasn't Michael Vick can chilidog and still have A. Job in Colin Kaepernick, can't say. Shoot people. And not have a job. That's what I think. Much of the baby actually did. Athletic careers. sports and they end when you're still a young individual with a lot of life ahead and as you read it as Jim Brown realize can't stop. By many miles at. And right the dream of NFL would it looks like it might be over I hope that it's eventually someone will give him a shot maybe but. And will air. We'll find the next stream. Vic Martinez on what he learned as a leader at Disney

"Names Vic Martinez and you're listening to the hacking you leadership podcast guests series the most impactful leader mentor my life would have to be Mike Myers. A reported up to him in some way during my career Walt Disneyworld and he was always a shining example of what a true leader should be by just watching him and spending time with him. I learned that people should be taken care of instead of managed he taught me how to build effective teams and how to leverage people, skills and passions to get the best work out of them and best of all, he taught me how to own my mistakes and keep moving forward instead of dwelling on them. The first mistake meat is a leader of people might have been dermot first year as a Disney leader at. Disney. Most customers want to grow with the company and I assume that this personnel at down did as well long story short. I was trying to help them get out of their shell grow and apply to be a trainer. What I didn't do is get to know them better I or I. Would have learned that they didn't really want to be a trainer or teach people. They were perfectly happy as Kenny art is making caramel apples all day and anyone more responsibility in. Now focus on building relationships and really getting to know the person and more importantly their needs before I offer up any advice or offer help and career development. The difference between a good leader and a great leader simple. They care and they backup that care what action. I've been fortunate enough to be raised by amazing leaders I mean I was sixteen when I started with Disney our leaders were basically like my parents teaching me right and wrong every day. But my absolute favorite leaders were the ones who cared had empathy had natural emotional intelligence. One of my most favorite moments was when my dad came to visit me when I was an early cashier at Disney. He worked nights and weekends saw only got to see him a few hours a week and my leader remembered me sharing that with him months ago and confidence in he instead of telling me to go back to work, he said Hey Vick don't you go over data tour of the operation take thirty forty, five minutes. I thought I was going to get in trouble for for him being there, and and this leader decided to put me I in the operation second for about thirty, forty, five minutes. But that thirty forty five minutes was so impactful that I would work late or come in on my day off and and give him my best work. No matter what after that because of so indebted to. His kindness I don't have direct reports in my current role at NPR but I realize you don't need them to be a leader, a measure success as leader of people in developer talent by looking at attrition. If our client is leaving us then didn't see the value won't we offer, and that issue could be as simple as that were they think we're too expensive and when I hear that. I hear that they don't think we deserve to be paid that much for what they're cutting. So something's wrong. So work with many people to ensure that the client is taking care of sees the value of their purchase and continues to do business with us. Being in sales is really starts with me and it's up to me this at the right expectations and give my team the tools. They need to successfully onboard the client and when things go wrong on Yo on blame I just seek to understand entitles failures with a teachable moment and maybe add another bullet points at a checklist. Then I follow up to ensure it doesn't happen again and when it doesn't, I make sure to thank them I think this is a healthier way to work with others to accomplish the same goal.

Boston - Seahawks Stop Cam Newton On The Goal Line, Escaping With 35-30 Win Over Patriots

"Pages Seahawks I tried to tell him that he keeps telling me. He doesn't this one came down to the last three seconds faster. The goal line down five with a chance and cam gets stuff not even close cam though and Ross did put on a show eight total touchdowns between them but the Patriots coming up too short here is Cam Newton on getting tonight on that last play. It was a great play by. Day We had favored gain program the couple of times figure. This thing into the world to midtown but identity today. Said so confident about. Being bowed executing. Could've balanced it no looking to. Better. Better here at the end. And You know we we put ourselves in a position to win and. When you do that and just gotTa Got Senate, show you'll be. and. With that, we welcome in our quarterback Michael Vick Mike. Let's start there. Would you make that final play the game? Cam said they may have went to the where one soon times with that play but that's the play that they executed. Well. Over the last two weeks and I think he scored a touchdown early on a similar plate and even ahead of play action off of that place. So. Bet Play is a play that they can use any. Situation would be third down. Razov and has been effective. I honestly don't think it should it came down to that play. There were plays in a game I think maybe one or two cam probably would have won it back. A couple questionable, third-down caused, and which they ran the ball nate allow Camden Doda football so. Probably should've never came down to that wind play particularly, but I think cam play well play winning football. They play football on both sides and I was very impressed highly impressed but off this play will spend more plays for the doing pages in Kansas and let's really comfortable. Running a system and they're going to be a tough team to beat. Not Soon Change. They're going to beat the New England patriots. Team planning the postseason easily but at the same time. They're gonNA come situations in the game where they gonNA. have to find ways to win games like this and I'm pretty sure that they'll go back and look this film. It comes down to them being. On one and a two yard line and finding a way to get it in I. Think they was kind of shocked in that moment and just search a four play call.

Boston - Bill Belichick’s Praise Of Cam Newton Is Rather Effusive, What’s It Mean?

"Bill. Belichick sounds like he's literally in love with Cam Newton loves his personality work ethic loves everything about Him Mike Vick. What'd you make of Bill Belichick's high heaping praise of Cam Newton. It sounds like they send up value to have cam out. There we want. Right you don't hear coaches praising. You know a a number two. Guy Who who comes in and he's competing we can work hard I think word around the League has been over the last couple of years how hard he's worked not think bill belichick is a chance to see first hand and would you have a guy like camp out of practice every day making plays working haw stand late coming here. Early you start to visualize what you can do on the field on on on Sundays and Thursdays and Mondays and Like okay. This is a guy who was who's been prominent plan league for a long time. Now, he's on my team and and Everybody's into winning and Cam gives them a great chance of winning each and every week. especially if he's healthy and they they know what's going on with Cam, you know day in and day out healthwise and I think this is setting up with some whites bigger. We could see cam behind the center we one if he's picking up the offense he if he's standing the concepts and. How office needs to be orchestrated and I'll say it is. It's more in this odd minutes now then it probably was with Brady in terms of a run game clues Cam. So that's going to be a big reason or big fact that you know to have cam on a field at some point early in the season. Zone read. Now you got options more that you can do. So the innovation is there. And that's why. Bill. Singing the praises he sees working and he knows what he can do when he visualizes out on the field what can take place. So it was good to hear this man I'm excited for Cam and I know at some point. He's going to get a shot. He's going to be the man behind the center.

Big Brother: Did Dani buy Janelle’s finale night dress on eBay and wear it on her finale night?

"Me, and then we were like wait that's gotta be what it is and then boom she says it. Maggie I want to ask you about something I haven't had the chance to talk about on the podcast. Are you familiar with the gym nells Finale Dress? Storyline. I was about to bring out by saw it on reddit that Danny had bought journals finale drastic this. Be to talk about is this okay. Melissa. This is okay. I think I I don't okay. So I don't my only issue with it is that I don't know where that information comes from. I know that the dresses looked the same but I don't know if it was exactly Gino's dress like that. She bought from Janelle or that it was like a like look like dress or the same dress brand just did it and wanted to wear. Okay. All right. So this is. that. A listen we're all Danny did not fans here but story is is a little weird. We're treatise, she bought it like from an ebay auction for. Like Gin put her dress up for charity mills baby six finale dress went up for auction measure of his bb six or seven. Do we now doesn't matter? Okay she put her dress up for an auction Danny Denardo bought said dress and then wore the exact same dress to the finale of BB eight. That go this Danny. Talked about this on feeds. I'm not sure if anyone clocked it but I was watching once and she was talking about with. I can't remember who she was talking about it with but she said that she was originally supposed to be cast on big brother six. She made it to finals for that but she was seventeen. So they wouldn't let her on and she was talking about how she was supposed to be on big brother six and then eventually she said like she was super happy. She was I'm Gonna I'm big like because she was too young or whatever. But I have a theory that she's always loved now and when she was on eight, she had the blonde hair I don't know I. Am Looking at the you know crystal ball or whatever. But I think maybe some validity to try to saying that there is some question about whether or not is the if it's the exact address. I'm a little. I there's there's no possible way that she didn't see wearing it and be like I like that dress I want to wear a dress like that at the finale, a tribute or just because I like it or whatever. But like. There's no way. There's no way. What I'm trying to say is there's no way that they just happen to wear the same dress and it was just like crazy. We don't know if it's the literal dress that touch Gino's body burns in life. It's we don't know the single white females situation orbits just like the question. Did it start with I. Okay. I want her dress I want to be now I have to get rid of her now I have to take over your. Okay you find a single white female situation. Replacement so it's married with married. It's different. So it's fine. You can read of each other it's fine. But yeah, it is very interesting. Also, apparently it was it was an all stars not vick brothers six but still. It's the point

Procter & Gamble: Let's #TalkAboutBias

"Companies combating bias many American. Corporations are taking a closer look at their impact on employees and customers when it comes to issues of diversity and inclusion one of the most visible examples, the stop hate for profit campaign, encouraging advertisers to boycott facebook amid calls for the social media giant to better moderate racist content. We've discussed this initiative at length here on squawk. SQUAWK pod check out Wednesday's episode for our most recent conversation with one of the campaign's organizers, but one of facebook's and Google's biggest advertisers has remained uninvolved in the boycott. That's proctor and gamble the consumer-goods Giant that owns household brands like Gillette. Bounty tied down vicks crest. The list goes on, but while fellow consumer giants like Pepsico Coca Cola and Unilever have pulled or paused their advertising. Advertising with facebook being Jay has not even though PNG has a history of calling out big tech platforms about this very issue in twenty nineteen, the company spoke out against digital media platforms. SUGGESTING PNG could move its aunt. Dollars to services do a better job at keeping their platforms free of offensive content, and they weren't kidding. In two thousand, seventeen and eighteen proctor and gamble had boycotted. Boycotted Youtube for over a year after its ads showed up next to terrorist content, so why his PSG remained on sidelines in this boycott, the company's strategy has instead been to double down on its own approach to combat racism with ads like the look and the talk about conversations. Black parents have with their children in this country. The talk actually won an emmy a few years ago. You were not pretty slow blood. Beautiful period. Okay. I'll never forget that. This week proctor and gamble released another short video choice encouraging white Americans to speak up and stand up against racial bias as well as the Hashtag. Let's talk about bias fostering conversation about race between strangers. Everyone has bias as might be uncomfortable. Can you imagine that officer having his knee on a white woman's neck like that for ten minutes it all starts with biased. Each video is a powerful watch. Damon Jones chief communications officer at proctor and gamble joined squawk box this morning to discuss the strategy. Here's Andrew, Ross Sorkin Damn Good morning to you. The morning before we get into some before we get into some of the details, just just tell us how this came about and I'm curious about what kind of debate there may or may not have been inside the company about how to approach this. Will for years we've been using our voice and position as a leading advertiser to spark these constructive conversation on race and unbiased. You know back in twenty fourteen. We launched a campaign called like a girl to talk about gender bias and twenty seven be launched a campaign all the talk that really shine the light on the conversations that black mothers were having with their children. Children to prepare them last year, bid on a campaign called the load, and recently with the choice we wanted to catalyze even more conversation, giving all that was happening in the world so we know that a lot of the core evil that we're facing right now. Racism sexism than up over. They all start with biased and we can't tackle these problems until we begin. Begin to talk about them, so the challenge is always. How do you do that in an accurate way? How do you do that in a way? That really brings people voices by invite them into really become part of solution. That's our objective with the talk about bias campaign. You know it's an important message, but we're. We're living in contentious time, and amid what some people. People might describe a cancel culture and I. Don't know if you remember when starbucks many years ago, put together their race together program, which immediately drew criticism despite I think it's well intentioned, and my question to you is how you think about that sort of a mix in terms of how you approach this issue, and what kind of feedback you've gotten us for. Sure well I think what we know because we're all about serving consumers, consumers want to know the values behind the brands they buy everyday and as we consider these types of programs, we do it in a fear and accurate in a respectful manner, and we're very clear on our goals, and we want a society that fosters great public discourse, even when we disagree, so we bring multiple views to the table, and we handle those using a very responsible way were clear on the objectives were clear on the outcomes, and we acknowledged that eight. Not everyone's a disagree, but we want everyone to come to the table, bringing their lived experience, but also bringing perspective that are beyond. Beyond their own, so what we did talk about bias. Perish Rangers together right. People who were different have different lived experiences, White, black gay shrink all these dimensions of diversity, and we said let's talk about these things right and sometimes disagree sometimes you'll get a little hurt, but that's the proper process of learning. We've actually taken that same process within the wall to P. and G. writes. The were walking the talk when it comes to bringing people together and getting through some of those difficult conversations at the end of the day. It's not about a popularity contest, but it's about getting to the culture of respect and understanding that we all want to live in.

Vic Syracuse Homebuilt Aircraft Council Chairman discusses the 2020 EAA/FAA Recreational Aviation Summit

"Don't you tell me a little bit more about What goes on in the summit victim. Tell us about what? Your role is so One I'm just honored to be there. A nice time. Didn't accused me of making the meeting any longer than it needed to be so. Thanks Tom. Absolutely the exciting thing is that I see over past three or four years this absolute willingness for the FAA to listen to the EA leadership to him on on very important things that are affecting our membership things right down to operating limitations for amateur built airplanes at top of mind for our members out there these days and actually work with the people that Right those up and allow us to do input and make changes. It does seem to me to be to be powerful and is it. Would you both say it's unusual That that we're we're sort of able to to get the FAA to come to us and sit down and have these These face to face meetings. It seems like when you consider a typical Something more akin to a lobbying scenario. Think while you go to Washington and the Obama the doors till somebody listens but they come here and sit down. Sit Down with us for two three days and the fact that they come here when it's eight degrees outside on purpose so that they can so that there are other bosses. Can't say that they're on some kind of junket you know to Vegas or something but But how I think One of one of the strengths. Ca Has the other alphabet organizations. Do a ton of of really great work and they're in DC Obviously base there on a regular basis and and we do have representation there ourselves with Doug McNair But one of a uniqueness that is our strength that he a is that we're not in DC. Were here in Oshkosh. Which means that when we want to have one of these kind of touch points. They come onto our turf meetings. It really is kind of an event And it's done in kind of this. This concentrated way of day and a half meeting where they hop on flights and come into To Wisconsin in February. We put together a full day. And a half agenda with you. Know with briefing papers in a in a fully. We work on this for months in advance. Getting getting all this ready and then we also have all of the All of the the leads in the same room so it doesn't matter if we're talking about airport policy or for talking about flight safety or for talking about Operating limitations for amateur built aircraft. Everybody whether they have a hand in it or not is around. The table offering their views on it. And particularly for the interdisciplinary topics. You know things like mosaic giant rulemaking project. It's great to you. Know not necessarily be in the office of one particular department but have those folks come to us and in all bear on the conference. Table Now vic. We're looking BACK SUMMIT AS WE'RE RECORDING. His has just concluded correct. We've just wrapped up Vick. Was there you mentioned operating limitations? Were were there any other particular. Highlights this at this year for you. Yeah the NEAT thing about the last day and a half as Tom said we've got the real people here who can actually listen and then say yeah. We can change that as opposed to thank you for your input. We're GONNA go back and see what can be done and that ranged everywhere from talking about grass field operations which was kind of a minor knit all the way up to future policies. That may be coming out in the next four or five years at are actually going to change you know. Have a real good impact. I think very positively on amateur built aviation so it's everything from fixing things to policy making out in the future and we've got the leadership of both sides in the room a green on. What's going to happen? That really is it really is terrific and I You know when you go back through our magazine Archives Or you think back I personally think about conversations with Paul Right when I started here. when he founded the organization That was that was a core philosophy from the beginning is is you know. We're not gonNA just sit here and fold our arms and you know and grouse about the bureaucrats in Oklahoma City. You know we're going to figure out how to work with them and how to educate them And you know I certainly. We don't get every single thing we want but but we've had some. We've had some enjoyable successes over the years and I think I think members should be proud of the strong working relationship that we have with the FAA. Yea I I I would add just a little bit to that. How and you're dead on. I call it. I've actually When I speak to the Holmdale Council and even family members and fellow pilots when I go back the collaborative atmosphere. Yeah that is in this room and all the meetings that I've had the honor of participation with is totally different than most pilots perception of the FAA chur. I mean they are there to actually they have the same objective that we have in mind in that to Promote aviation not figure out a way to stifle it and there aren't any US in they conversations in in this room this meeting ever the first time I was there. It was amazing to me and it just keeps repeating year after year and actually we do it twice a year and they always take things back and act upon them and come back and tell us why they can't as you know We do. Have we do report to a congress and but most of the time in jail we we can fix this or we can change. That is very very collaborative. This is our fourteenth winter summit this year. So you know There every year we get high level executives. I mean literally somebody who reports to somebody who reports to the FAA administrator You know that's that's the level of executives that were getting at these meetings. I mean these are people who don't just have oversight of General Aviation. They have oversight of Commercial Aviation which is obviously a Not The not the most comfortable assignment right now at the seventy seven Max issues going on in other things And they take the time to come to Oshkosh again in February. When it's eight because they WANNA come here come here. They want to To do positive things for general aviation and hear what the stakeholders have to say So I think it's As as my boss Sean says always says it's ours to lose you know we. We have to continually Present a productive agenda for them But we are of A. We're just very humbled by the By by the the willingness of these guys to to work with. Us So closely. It really is. That really is something remarkable and I it it does appear to be pretty Pretty Unique

"Totally forgiveness I understand as I move forward so better on Michael Vick. The person it's not the football player I will redeem myself. When Michael Vick was sentenced to prison in two thousand seven for running illegal dog fighting operation it marked a stunning downfall for one of the most gifted football players in a generation? Now more than ten years later Vicks name continues to stoke debate between those who think is crimes were unforgivable. In those who think he has earned redemption today. We explore those questions and more ahead of the debut of the newest thirty for thirty VIC. Partout of which debuts tonight on ESPN. It's Thursday February sixth this is espn daily life presented by Adt Able money are you Bomani. Jones is the CO host of high noon and covered Michael. Vick since his time with the Falcons Bo uh-huh Michael Vick was a captain in the pro bowl this year and there are a lot of people weren't happy about that there were petitions to remove him one got over seven hundred thousand signatures and Roger Goodell had to answer questions. Basically defending the decision. We supported Michael in his recognition of state that he may. I know that there are people out there who will never forgive him. He knows that but I think this is a young man ended up taking his life in a positive direction. We support that. Why do you think the name Michael Vick still elicits? It's this sort of reaction from people like. I wonder how much the people who are. That bothered in such as they're right right like this is their third rail issue. This is the thing that can't China crossed over. I don't feel like I'm quite in a position to judge. If you decide that this is your thing right. But in the last ten years since he got out of jail he's probably been at these different points. I don't know how much continues to now but like the most dedicated animal activists that they've been in the country. He's done everything we ask somebody to do. Do when they make a mistake and I really wonder if people believe that permanent. Banishment is the true way to respond to a handful of transgressions that people commit. Because if that's the case as man we never gonna get anywhere you gotta give people some path toward redemption in order to get people to be accountable for their behavior and he has been as accountable his behavior as anybody else part. Two you of the Michael Vick thirty for thirty errors tonight. You're one of the people interviewed for it. And it documents vicks fall from are being this generational talent to being a prison inmate and then it gets to the comeback with Bill Delphi for him. That downfall began in two thousand seven when he was sentenced to twenty three months in prison for running. Let's go back to two dozen seven when this news came because you've been covering vic for a while you've been from Atlanta. Ah Your Fan. How shocking was this for the sports world? Exercising Your Demons

"Listening to the daily sales tips. PODCAST I'm your host Scott Ingram. This tip is fairly closely related to the tip. I shared aired yesterday on minimum viable habits and Mike ten x Ironman. It say it's at least a cousin. Because a couple of the core elements of that tip were around mindset Set an exercise when thing. I've really noticed for myself is how connected mindset and overall attitude are with how frequently. I'm exercising the mental part of sales and the life of a sales professional is something. I'm really committed to spending more time on this coming year. Some of you may have seen my linked within post from earlier this month where I talked about how I was unfunny myself after a particularly down day the reception and the conversation around the topic Vick was fantastic. And I've got linked to that post for you at daily sales dot tips forward slash three forty. Four what I really love. Is that now. The community community is holding me accountable. Andy off go left a really insightful comment about a week later and asked what can you do to avoid the situation going forward forward. Please share your answers with all of us here. So that's partially what this tip is about. I used to suffer from bouts of depression more frequently in the past than I have in the last few years and one of the primary ingredients seems to be around how frequently I exercise in fact when I had that down day that prompted the Lincoln Post I hadn't worked out in three or four days the other phenomenon in noticed about myself as that if I start feeling down I generally. I don't feel like exercise and that's a very slippery slope. I can skip a day. No problem skipping. Today's might be okay but personally I'm probably taking a risk in a perfect world. I'm probably working out five or six times a week to maintain my mental health and at the very least it's an every the other day consistent habit what about you do you have this. Same exercise to mindset connection that ice seem to have I've learned a ton from all the interviews and relationships I've built with top performers through the sales success stories podcast and the summits and when I look at the most common themes I think it's possible. Bowl that mindset trumps. Everything else if your head isn't right. It's practically impossible to achieve the highest levels at least in a healthy th-y and sustainable way. I heard a great quote on the radio. The other day it happened to be in the context of bullfighting but I think it applies incredibly. Well here he. He said that champions train they endure pain and they don't complain met really struck me because to be great in this business of sales you have have to work at it. There are no shortcuts and it's not going to be easy you'RE GONNA be challenged at every turn and in so many different ways but you have to find a way to endure all of that pain and continue to break through again and again and again and you really can't do that if you don't start with the right mindset

"But on the line with us as Michael Vick. Now, my how enjoy playing in the AFL this year. I really enjoyed it. Just having the chance to go out and toss the ball around the ball, open receivers, look at a defense. Why guys move something? I was really accustomed to and have a lot of fun doing when I played in the National Football League in college football and. This door to brought back. A lot of memories where I feel like, you know, I can get out there and play again, and some of the memories that are had no win play. Kinda came back saying, guys, come open and seeing the send the second guy. So it was a great experience. I had a ton of fun. Was gonna be a lot more fun doing that without people that can actually hit you right Yeah, that's that's probably the biggest perk that you get out of it. Not having to worry about getting not your, but now what's the skill level in the league? I think it's fair. Some of the guys afresh out some of these guys have play for five years and still have a lot of trick and and not a lot of wear and tear. So you know, the guys are moving quick. You know, I feel like you know the response to, you know, several plays and in recognition, the instincts were they on on the defensive side of the ball, and no guys really came to play. So as long as you approach it with eleven competition, you know that that the highest mindset you know to go out and they have and I think you know, I think it makes a good competitive game. Now, how strong is that sense of competition that spirit just walleye on a scale of one ten, I give it about nine and a half. I mean, like. I said the game since I was leaving your plan for big purse, you know, guys bring a little more to the table, and I felt like that was the case along with, you know, not being buried to a not, you know, letting the guy go out there and now to make you the back for like that up the level of competition. Now you talked a bit about some of those guys being fresh out legally. How do the younger guys respond to meeting you? I mean, because people that age being Michael Vick means something different. Yeah, it was cool all the guys, they respect. I respected them as well for their crap and what they've been through, what they, you know how they're trying to accomplish. But you know, they really, they let me. Big bro. And you know, almost paid the way this is for that. You know who play on the defense side of the ball on me play receiver. They felt like at some point, you know, in their life, they found themselves on the football, whether it was in in in high school or college, you know, trying to imitate something and I may have done and twenty football works, man, you'd think they'd being the quarterback. You know, the guys get interceptions on defense hill. They get the ball in their hands. Don't want to imitate a guy. So I think that's really cool. Man. You guys are on the spectrum and you know being able to be apart, you know this guys like is a good experience for them. Now, how many guys have you come across so far that faster than you? Not too many, but I tell you what I was more quick than I was fast. So I know guy when I see, you know, defense twitch much of moving and especially in their hips. I can. The they'll size guy quick and it's a big difference. Some guys don't get into their stride takes awhile and some guys, you know, just, you know, really, really quick out of their breaks and then they can just hit it and go. But I have random pitcher, many guys who were faster than me, especially in print. See, I was apprised that you would even admit that there were any other like Joey Galloway. I think to this day is not emitted. Anybody's passing him..
