"Hormones. Firing in your brain it comes from a knowledge. A deep seated knowledge in the will of god and in the promises that he has given us. Why do christian struggled so mightily in this world even if they don't struggle with depression because they think happiness is the same thing because they forget the joy that comes from the knowledge of the will of god from knowing that the blessings of this life are sure and steadfast that through the difficulties of this life we can be saved regardless regardless of what this world throws at us. So how do we grow in our joel. If we're not experiencing joy as we feel like we should how do we grow in that joy. Well i is the same with each of these. You seek the source of joy. Romans chapter fifteen in verse. Thirteen romans fifteen in verse thirteen now. May the god of folk fill you with all joy. Peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy spirit we see similarly in. We've made this connection with love in james one where he tells them if you lack wisdom secret from god. If you're lacking love you should seek it from god. if you're lacking joy guess where you should find it. From god he is the one who can distribute and james one in verse seventeen every good gift and every perfect gift from above and comes down from the father of lights and whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. I'll tell you that passage there. James one seventeen especially the end that oftentimes gets cut off when we're talking about anything from james one. Seventeen in whom there is no or shadow of turning. I'll tell you that brings me joy because it tells me that. I can trust what god says. It reminds me that what god teaches me that god has revealed to me belongs to me the promises that he has given. If i am faithful to those promises than i will receive the reward. That god has offered. There is no variation or shadow of turning. God does not change his mind he stays the course. He is consistent and every good gift and every perfect gift is from him. One way we grow in our julius to seek from the source of joy to ask god to help us to grow in that joy and the second is to keep the end in mind. This is what many people struggle with depression because they struggle feeling happy in any circumstance. They cling to this end. james chapter one in verse. Two and three has really weird phrase. Count it all joy when you fall into various trials. What who would ever encourage you to thank god for the trials that come in this world. Everyone avoids trials. They avoid difficulties if they can not feel pain in some capacity. They're going to do it regardless of what it costs them. People do not understand passing over pleasure in order to produce joy or in order to facilitate something. They regularly embrace happiness in every circumstance..

"It's close to us and that word should be in the heart of every christian it should be in the heart of every christian because the gospel is god's power to salvation. We know that from romans. One in verse sixteen. We know that works within for a special chapter. Two and verse. Thirteen and that word should be at our fingertips. Paul talks about the word. He uses the definite article idiots literally the word when you look at his writings and we're not look at these references but oftentimes when he writes to timothy. He doesn't just say word. He talks about the word. It is god's word it is the gospel. It is the truth and paul says that that word is so important. It was preached presents now. Having said all that he's laid the foundation for romans chapter ten versus nine through eleven. Here is this word. God has brought it down and it is to be close to your heart. Well it would make sense to maybe talk about something like confession. And that's what we have in romans. Ten versus nine through eleven noticed the because tied in with all the stuff because of how confessed with him off. Jesus as lord and shop leaving the heart that god raised from the dead thou shall be saved for heart man believed with under righteousness with the mouth. Confessions made into salvation for the scripture saith whomsoever believe with on him shall not be put ashamed all right verse seems to be directly connected to what we saw deuteronomy thirty specifically deuteronomy thirty verse. Fourteen brand. Can you go back there and pick it up one more time. I don't know if he's still back there are you worried is very into the in my mouth. I think about what we said the jews. What was there. What was their position thinking. Concerning jesus comes into the world. I mean he tabernacles. He lives among men. Does all these miracles gives numerous teachings..

"This is your son's rope or not is it or isn't it as they didn't know as these wasn't the role that they saw in their dreams every night when they went to sleep and what will be the result he says. I can never deal with life the way i did before. And instead of getting what they wanted they don't get that they got rid of joseph and the problem is they didn't get what they want it. Let's go to chapter forty saw. Joseph gets into egypt then he saw do but if our and you know what happens there somebody in the position of power and she says to he come on. nobody will ever know. Nobody will ever discover and in contrast to be the david that we discussed in previous lessons. He says no way. My set of values do not allow me to behave this way and as a result of that he ends up in prison. You need to remember. He's not in prison for eighteen months or for two years or for five years so he can start counting the days and the weeks and when he's going to go home he's in the prison for the rest of his life. So how would you feel when you stand up for god's values for something which is right and you all mistreated this way. Is there for the rest of his life. What is going to happen. And so let's pick up from job to forty in verse five up to forty from where it's five one night. They both dreamed the cup bearer and the baker of the king of egypt who were confined in prison each his own dream and each dream with its own meaning and listen to this. When joseph came to them in the morning he saw that they were trebled so blau wow imagine the guy who could not recognize before how his brothers are feeling. Ten years later can notice the emotions in other people just by looking at them. And there's something is wrong here. So what does he do. So he asked pharaoh's officers who were with him in custody in his master's house. Why your faces downcast today. They said to him we have had dreams and there is no one to interpret them. And joseph said to them do not interpretations belong to god. Please tell them to me. So the chiefs cut mirror told his dream to joseph. You told them. The dream. And the interpretation of that is in verse. Thirteen within three days. Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you.

"There's so much language of the lord There's a lot of parental Metaphor where like it was i who taught you to walk. It was i who fed you and right umbrella. don't you remember. And just in the new testament where jesus is looks at jerusalem and goes own roussillon jerusalem. How long to gather you under my wings but you would not. It's so reminiscent of this passage as well. Yeah i think that the book of joel. That's our last book that we are in this week. Another minor prophet and if feels like a great a good place to land. It's another one of those where the circumstances are crazy like the centerpiece of this prophecy is a plague of locusts. Yeah that's right. Isn't that right right uh-huh There's some there's some scholarly debate just talking about like referring to the army's low thing right modern scholars kind of land on no it was actual locust and then he kind of like immediately like locusts. Like that it's kind of a little bit of a little bit. Yeah he'll see. Yeah i feel like we see a lot of that in the testament where some things out the army is but this is a book where the key verse is that. It's more of that. Refrain of return of return and the heart. Yes that's the big one here. Nothing short of your whole heart. Yeah kelly. You read it for us. We you read. This is jill to the key versus verse thirteen. But i'm wondering if we can read between. Maybe maybe yeah so verse. Twelve is even. Now this is the lord's declaration turned to me with all your heart with fasting weeping and mourning tear your heart's not just your clothes and return to the lord your god for. He is gracious and compassionate. Slow to anger abounding in love and he relents from sending disaster who knows he may turn and relent and leave a blessing behind him. So you can offer a grain offering drink offering to the lord your god. This is not the first time that we have read this. I i think that i memorized it as rend. Your hearts and not your garden though. Yeah feel strong..

"When pilot heard this. He was even more afraid. Any went back inside the palace and he's going to try again with jesus he said. Where did you come from me. As jesus jesus gives him no answer and pilot is is so frustrated in his fear. Do you refuse to speak to me. And now we see what pilot feels his right here. Don't you realize this is pilot speaking. Don't you realize he says jesus. I have power either to free you or to crucify you. And jesus answered you have no power over me if it were not given to you from above therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin feel compassion in jesus's is as he speaks to pilot watches pilot unravel as he watches pilot. Lead by fear not lead by truth and even even in these last moments of jesus's life when he stands with pilot and he says hey everyone who's on the side of truth is with me when he says to pilot you'll have power except that was given to you. I feel this compassion within him and it says in verse twelve after that moment. When jesus says you don't have power over me unless it were given to you. That pilot tries to set. Jesus free but the jewish leaders keep shouting. If you let this man go you are no friend of caesar. Now they are ramping up the greatest fears of pilot because they say anyone who claims to be a king opposes. Caesar and pilot knows it's his job to make sure that everyone stays in line that everyone stays under caesar not the time to be. Caesar would be to be divine like the idea. There is that there's nothing greater than caesar and so the jewish leaders use this to actually manipulate highlight to make him more fearful in verse thirteen. It says when pilot heard this. He brought jesus out and sat down on the judge's seat at a place known as the stone pavement which is an aramaic combat. It was the day of preparation of the passover. It was about noon and pilots. Said here's your king. But they shouted take him away. Take him away. Crucify him and pilots. Shall i crucify your king. And they answer. And this is just like the jab at pilot who's leading by fear they jab back and say we have no king but caesar.

Tom in the or call was absolutely right. You have to go through that gazelle mini. Were you make the decision to agree with god and declare that his will will be done over your life and then you go to the cross james welcome. What would you like to share us phone. I just had a question about what you're speaking about. In terms of salvation yes How the the in the flesh. That probably talked about current things. How does that compare and contrast to your ideology as to you know. Tell and living right james. That thorn in the flesh is an interesting question. But i'll tell you what there is simply no answer that we have in the scriptures as to what that thorne was some believe that it was an affliction of blindness that he struggled with. We don't know but certainly from his own testimony in the book of romans. it was not sin. Okay well i mean that's that's an interesting perspective. Because chapter twelve. When he talks about going and flesh he just like jesus did so many prayed and asked god that he would take that away from him. He talked about how it was an issue with his. You know the flesh being week in the spirit being willing the flesh being that thing that it makes it difficult for someone who has salvation to walk upright to be right and god or jesus his response. 'cause there's a then read in the bible is that my grace is sufficient for you so that when you are weak and strong my my my my strength is made perfect in your week. James you're bringing in things that you cannot her minutely bring into this discussion because that flesh problem could just as easily have been as many scholars believe a blind issue an issue with his eyes or physical sickness that he was afflicted with. You certainly could not read carefully. Paul's own writings and in any manner justify that he would be saying that god was in some way saying to him that his sin was acceptable. It's acceptable for what i would say is first of all. Let's be frank. I mean everything in the bible is not little so if you want to take every scriptural teaching literally then. I think what you won't have is what we call it in a nineteen which is what quite did know to be the anointed one messiah the most nineteen that destroys the yolk. They'll being that spiritual thing that binds since you know that's why we need christ. We don't have a job. General james let me read a scripture for you. it's romans eight verse thirteen. It says for if you live according to the sinful nature you will die but if by the spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body you live. That's as simple as it can get. And i and i wanna tell you james and i'm not gonna read it to you..

"That and shirt make me very popular verse thirteen. I thirteen says one. Who shuts his ear to the outcry of the poor will also call himself and not be answered shuts. His ear to the four will also call it himself and not be answered. I thirteen tells us the compassion to the poor is an important feature for us as followers of god. How many realized we've talked before. The defends the creator when we show no compassion to the poor. It offends the creator when we showed no compassion to the poor. And i think part of that part of that is the compassion to the poor is kind of the most godly kind of love that we can show and i mean not in the sense that sacrificial love is god love. Its charitable love. It's love that is one-sided how many of you know the god's love for you does not get paid off. God loves you and you don't deserve it. God loves me. And i don't deserve it and i can do nothing for god. God doesn't need anything from me. He doesn't eat anything from you. God's gothi love is a charitable love and one of the things that we as followers of god can do in reflecting him is to be compassionate in our love towards those who can offer nothing in return and who better to not offer anything in return the poor who have nothing to give and so again you will not be heard. You will not have god's ear because you don't reflect him in this. You don't give compassion. You're not going to be the kind of person that god is interested in pouring into because you do not choose to offer the same compassion that he has called you to those to whom it is going to be most clearly seen folks if you want to avoid loved one sided because it's not fair you're avoiding the love that god has called us to sometimes gop love. That is charitable. I'm not saying we shouldn't have boundaries. I'm not saying that. We shouldn't be careful of not getting into codependent relationships but we should be people who no compassion for the poor for seventeen says one who loves pleasure will become poor as a poor person and one who loves wine and oil will not be bad news. Everyone if you love pleasure you're probably going to become for and if you're a big fan of the oil and the wine which is to say in the context of the day the oil and the wine was the best of stuff. "We don't want to lord our knowledge over them and be authoritarian in their lives and pride in oregon and judgment we want to come alongside and joining people and their suffering and their in their rejoicing and their celebrations we come alongside people and we help them to use all of those life experiences to grow in the relationship with the lord. Sometimes people mess up. Sometimes they give in to temptation and it's so easy as young believers in as old believers to think i messed up again. I just quit at all. And that's where we come in as disciples is say no no god is just. He's just to forgive us whenever we need to repent. He's just and he'll forgive us of all of our sins and cleanse us in his mercies are new every morning. Don't give up come with me. I'll hold you up. Let's go to jesus together. Discipleship requires unshakable motivation. Discipleship requires unshakable focus and finally discipleship requires unshakable. Trust so dan showed us a slide. Last week and he explained that the thessalonian church was producing a ripple effect around the area of the world that they were in. And so jesus was a disciple. Ing paul and silas right. They were disciples by christ. And then the thesselonians disciple by paul and silas and timothy and then around the around thessalonica we get this ripple effect out to the macedonians and the canes and they all were coming to know the lord because the festival onians were diligent and their discipleship and calling other people to follow. Jesus as well and so. This was all accomplished without the help of social media without newspapers without the news without i mean printed bibles. They didn't have a bible back then and yet they were growing and their walk with the lord. And so it makes me think how. How is this being accomplished without all of these tools that we use today to grow ourselves in jesus and to grow other people in jesus and we see that answer in verse thirteen. We never stop thinking. God that when you thesselonians received his message from us you didn't think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said. As the very word of god which of course it is and this word continues to work and you who believe truth is hard to swallow sometimes isn't it. We can get really reactionary when someone tells us the truth whether they tell it to us in love or they tell it to us in our face we can be tempted to argue or excuse or be defensive when people tell us the truth and this church didn't do any of those things. They accepted paul's message. As if it were from the very words of god because they were they trusted in god's power to save through. Jesus they trusted that. Jesus is the only way to salvation even in the face of persecution being kicked out of families and physically harmed and people dying from from because they believed that jesus was the way to god. They accepted god's word and then they proactively grew. In god's word the word of god continued to grow in them because they proactively believed the message. So i don't know about you. You might be a better person than me. I think we've already established that from earlier. But when someone gives mia corrective word. My responses even. If i know it's true it's still hurts. I don't agree with without right now. Why don't you tell me that. And like to give excuses and stuff..

"So i'm gonna show it to you. Matthew thirteen watch. this have thirteen. Thirteen another reason. He spoke in parables. According to mark four thirty-three his he spoke in parables as they were able to hear it with many such terrible spike into them as people were able to hear it so he was meeting people where they were at that one and more but another reason here in matthew thirteen liga this in verse thirteen he said therefore speak i end to them in parables because they seeing and hearing here not neither do they understand and in them is fulfilled the prophecy of isaiah which say by hearing you shall here and shall not understand and seeing shall see and shall perceive watch this verse fifteen for the for this people's heart is waxed gross or hard and their ears are dull of hearing and there is they have closed less than any time they should see what the rise and here with their ears and understand what their heart and should be converted and i should heal them then he said blessed or your eyes and ears etc so basically what he's saying if you're not interested god will protect your right to not be interested and he loves you but i think it's wise to go god's way the bible says in proverbs nineteen three i believe it is the foolishness a man perverts his way and then his heart blames god. I'm giving you a paraphrase. His heart fred. If against the lord. The king james says in other words going my own way there's many scriptures when i went on my own lord of my own boss and i'm doing life in my own strength. God allow that and like it says an ecclesiastes time and chance happens to everybody. But god's got a better life for us. God wants to protect us. God wants us to be gone. Wants to be involved in our day to day decisions. He loves us. God wants to elitist in our purpose. I think it's sad that multitudes of people live and die and never even get on the path of their purpose. I'm talking about a lot of christians. Least if you're on the path how do you. Fulfill god's will one day at a time. I believe i'm in god's perfect for my life today. And.

That's what we need to really look at is. This is now. John revealing showing what jesus christ had shown him concerning the christ and and and same thing. That's why he uses the word in verse twelve by the revelation of the really of manifestation to show of jesus christ verse thirteen. He goes back and reminds to people. This is who i was. Don't forget this is who i was for. We have heard of or you've heard of my conversation my way of life right. That's what the word condensation means more than just speaking words. You've heard my conversation in times past in the jews religion. And i liked the way he puts it. It's religion tim. And i not here talking to you about religion today united. I are tim. And i talking to you about a relationship. A person relationship with an intimate god in his not religion. And matter of fact i have to say just for me is i stained religion. I want relationship because religion. The devil is not afraid of religion in my view. The devil developed religion why to make people think to the scene people that they have heard the truth when in fact they really have not that doing the truth when in fact the not and in mention of back the jewish religion. This is what i used to believe. This is what i was ahead of. This is what was my job in then. Verse thirteen how that beyond measure. I persecuted the church of god. And i wasted it. I wanted to do away from it. I wanted to do away with it. I wanted to destroy it and profited. Math hey I took profit in it. You know. I think the paul rich in it you know. And he profited profited him as a as a man because what all the other series. We're doing what they were kowtowing to. They were bowing down to them. They were calling him. The grand poobah whatever they that's what they were doing and he profited from that. He's the prophet of the jews religion. He uses that term again. He does not say that your relationship with jesus. It's the jewish religion above many my equals in my own nation being more exceeding zealous of the traditions. And what does religion milk on tradit- tradition. You know and you know. I'm not against traditions that you know the way our world is today and i'll society today one to do away with history. I think we need to learn from those. I think we need to use as as teaching tools for us. Just the same thing with the church. We need to learn and use those teaching tools. But let's not make that the gospel. But i think the big thing there's because he doesn't just say being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions..

"Into the sheep. Fold all the benefits. Everything that got us available for them but climbs up some other way other than jesus the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father but by me john fourteen six so if he he doesn't enter by the door was the door. Go to verse four. I'm sorry i five. I'm gonna find it here. Experts for six next verse verse. Seven there it is there. It is then said jesus into them barely barely i say unto you i am the door of the sheep now. Back in verse. One look this very rarely i sandy. He enter if not in by the door in other words. You don approach god through. Jesus you approach god based on you but climbs up some other way the same as a thief robber. What does that mean he loses. What's available to him or her in god because he's trying to approach it outside of the perfection of christ and listen people all over this country right now. That's what people it's easy to motivate people to say if you do this god bless you but if i tell you already blessed whether you do or don't do then you'll be motivated by the love of god. Instead of the love of trying to measure up. It won't be a dead work. It'll be a god work. See we need to tell people who they are in christ instead of trying to motivate them by telling them if they do something they'll be who they are in christ stopped teaching people to do be and start teaching them. You do because of who you are. In christ i man praise god back to back to james one thirteen. I'm gonna fly. Because i want to get to verse. Seventeen let no man say when he is tempted. Thank you that. I am tempted or tested of god for god cannot be tempted with evil. Neither any man in other words. God's not enticing people to sin but god's enticing them you know putting trials on them to teach them something which is taught all over the world. I even got one book. It's a very popular devotional and in there. It actually says. God mets out trials. Ever so carefully. He met them out to you because he's trying to help you listen. There's plenty of trials in this without god getting involved and he's the good one all right. Don't drawn away of his own less than entice them. When lestat conceive brings four sin and sin when it's allowed to finish its course brings forth death. I'm gonna just go through these the word that no man say in verse thirteen. The word say is lego. Means to say.

Let me read what he said he said the problem is. I'm not eloquent. Eye not eloquent neither before nor sense you have spoken to your servant in other words before you began speaking to me. I wasn't eloquent and sense you've been speaking to me. I'm still not eloquent. You've asked me to do something. We haven't transformed me into the person that can do. This is what he was saying. I am slow speech and slow of chung here other reasons. You need to find somebody else to do this. Here are the reasons. I cannot do what you're asking me to do. I was slow to speak before. How many of us have gotten reasons why we can't do things. God we get baptizing. Jesus name we filled with the holy ghost all power and heaven and earth lives inside of us and we still go. To god's still can't do it. I was week beforehand. You filled me with your spirit. And i still struggle with their spirit. Please please said send by the hand or whoever else you will send. Don't ask me to do this. I cannot do it. And i'm not joe. I want to stress this morning. I found these passages by The corinthians that were written by paul Which kind of frame it in a way. That believers will see the great white throne. So i wanted to read though. Second corinthians five. Paul writes for. We must all right here before the judgment seat of christ so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body whether good evil so he frames it in that sense as not entirely judgment but as an accounting. Yeah as as a sore teen you know like so Yes some will be judged but some also be rewarded. Which i thought was interesting because you don't read that revelation. Now maybe they're not talking about the same event. I mean you could go down that path. But first corinthians three he writes this and this is the one. I like more more. So than second. Everyone's work the fire will test to ensure it's real quality if what was built on the foundation survives the fire. The builder will receive a reward. But if your work is burnt up and you will lose it but you yourself will be saved as if you had escaped through the fire. What he's talking about here are believers solely exclusively exclusive. But i don't understand <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> what i'm saying. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Which <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> is why if you ranong's <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> and you go to <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> the right gonna church if <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> there like a <Speech_Male> somewhat speaking tongues <Speech_Male> to the microphone <Speech_Male> then someone else <Silence> has That's <Speech_Male> i think. Part of the problem is <Speech_Male> people just say always <Silence> begin tongues and there's no <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> there's no interpretation. <Speech_Male> There's no accountability. But <Speech_Male> that's not how it's supposed to go <Silence> so that's ruined it <Speech_Male> for you. It's <Speech_Male> ruined it for charismatics <Silence> <Advertisement> to <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> okay but <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> it doesn't mean not biblical <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> doesn't mean it's not for today <Speech_Male> and i'm <Speech_Male> harper speaking in tongues. <Speech_Male> Not because it's the most important. <Speech_Male> Because even paul says <Speech_Male> it's not the most important thing <Speech_Male> is just the most common <Speech_Male> one that people will touch <Speech_Male> on but <Speech_Male> what's more important too <Speech_Male> is to seek the <Silence> <Advertisement> giver. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Not <Silence> <Advertisement> the gifts <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> right. He <Speech_Male> does a deceit the gifts in verse <Speech_Male> twelve. He says <Speech_Male> he says the same <Speech_Male> is true for you. Since you are <Speech_Male> eager to the special <Speech_Male> abilities the spirit gives <Speech_Male> seek those <Speech_Male> that will strengthen. The whole church <Speech_Male> is <Speech_Male> the gifts but <Speech_Male> don't forget what the purpose <Speech_Male> is for. Its for <Speech_Male> ministry to <Speech_Male> end encounters <Speech_Male> with god. That <Speech_Male> strengthens your relationship. <Speech_Male> That intern <Speech_Male> strengthens <Speech_Male> relationship with god. <Silence> By your example. <Speech_Male> I <Speech_Male> think the problem is that most <Speech_Male> people are so afraid <Speech_Male> of spritual <Speech_Male> gives that it keeps them <Silence> <Advertisement> closed off <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> to a deeper <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> intimacy with god <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> and his spirit. I can <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> talk with god just <Speech_Male> like i'm talking <Speech_Male> to a friend now there's <Speech_Male> reverence <Speech_Male> and and he's <Speech_Male> not just a friend. <Silence> He's a father <Speech_Male> right but he's <Speech_Male> also the lover of our <Silence> souls and <Speech_Male> so <Speech_Male> if you don't have <Speech_Male> like a special language <Speech_Male> to communicate with the lover <Silence> of your soul <Speech_Male> or <Speech_Male> you don't have an intimacy <Speech_Male> that you're willing to <Speech_Male> relinquish control <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> relinquish apprehensions <Silence> <Speech_Male> and your presuppositions <Speech_Male> about <Speech_Male> what spirits <Speech_Male> really are. They're <Speech_Male> not for <Speech_Male> today. Then <Speech_Male> you're missing out <Speech_Male> on a deeper <Speech_Male> relationship with god <Speech_Male> in your life and <Speech_Male> i think <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> it keeps you <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> a little more tethered <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> to this world <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> and the world problems <Speech_Male> and again. <Speech_Male> I'm not saying you gotta <Speech_Male> roll on the floor. I don't want <Speech_Male> you handle snakes. <Speech_Male> I don't think anybody <Speech_Male> should do that to be honest. <Speech_Male> Maybe that's <Speech_Male> more <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> than i realize. I don't know <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> i'm saying you can <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> do both. You <Speech_Male> can speak in tongues. you can have <Speech_Male> spiritual discernment <Speech_Male> and still be <Speech_Male> a biblical intellectual <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> us. Don't want to be too <Speech_Male> much of one and <Speech_Male> the other <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> has to <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> be a balance. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> If it's <Speech_Male> something you're afraid of <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> you can pray <Speech_Male> but the change your <Speech_Male> heart and reveal to you his <Speech_Male> truths at the end <Speech_Male> of the day. Like i said we're both <Speech_Male> going to the same heaven. <Speech_Male> I just think <Speech_Male> my relationship. With god <Speech_Male> to be so much different <Silence> in a <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> a less fulfilling way <Speech_Male>

"Of the fulfillment of that jose to in verse thirteen. He says and i will visit on her the days of the balls in which he burned incense to them as she adorns herself with her nose rings in her jewels and she went after her. Lover's in forgot me says yelling. Therefore behold i will lower her and bring her to the wilderness and speak to her heart and from there. I will give her fingers to her in the valley of a core for of hope and she shall answer there is in the days of for youth is in the day when she came up to the land of and at that day. Says y'all way you show call me my husband and you show no more call me might For i will take away. The names of the balls out of her mouth and they show no more be remembered by that name in that they will cut a coveted for them with the beasts of the heavenly goes in verse nineteen will be troth. You to me. I will be true to me and righteousness and judgment and in mercy compassion. I will even betrothed through to me in faithfulness and you will know ya'll way so while here it is and you know what he's saying. Here the word vol is another word for husband because the word literally means master right and a husband was the master over the life but he saying over here in this day. You know that you will call me my my man my issue and not my ball. So he's using it. In one way that you can take this by the names by all meaning from the name ish of inequality that we have with him but in another way duri interesting because the were all which means master is also word translated lord and he saying are probably the most word around the world that used for ya even more than god is the word lord which is not his name and he's saying the end time he's gonna take the word lord or all out of the people's mouth and many of us you know use that word In years past. I didn't i used it for many times. I don't think there's necessarily anything even totally wrong. Because lord is a title..

"Of the gospel of jesus christ. I'm not going to change that. And if you're working in a in an auto shop don't stand with that autoshop. Pastor might get fired. If i stand with jesus in the auto shop then get fired. The lord will provide for you and he'll give you a new job. You may go through some tough times. But i want to tell you you've gotta decide where you're going to stand stand with your job going to stand with what mom and dad think about you going to stand with what your wife or your husband thinks about you or you going to stand with jesus and those who want to be with you are going to need to come and stand with you with jesus. Now i reach out and minister to many people. But in all of that i'm holding onto the hand of jesus with one hand and i'm reaching out to take your hand today to draw to the hand of jesus. Some of you already grasped the hand of jesus and i praise god for you. Some of you even sold out yet. You haven't made that final decision yet. You're still playing with the powers of darkness. I want to invite you today to stop playing with the powers of darkness. I want to invite you today to do. It says here in this passage of scripture in romans six verse thirteen and you must not yield your members instruments of unrighteousness to the sin. But once and for all yield. Yourselves to god stan beside god. That's what the word yield means. Some translations put it present yourself to god will if you present yourself in audience before king you are there for the king's decision about you and the king is going to ask. Are you my loyal subject. Are you under my authority. Do obey the rules of my kingdom. And you say we'll sir. I'd like to be but.

Can We Trust God? (Habakkuk 1:2-4)
"From back chapter one versus two through four lord. How long shall cry for help. And will you not here or cry to you. Violence and you will not save. Why do you make me see iniquity. And why do you idly look at wrong. Destruction and violence or before me. Strife and contention arise so law is paralyzed injustice never goes forth for the wicked surround the righteous so just goes forth perverted. Oh this is startling language. In a sense the begins. The book of backing as aback comes before god. This is actually since one of the unique things about back. This is back. Expecting to god. On behalf of the people not speaking to the people on behalf of god at least at this point and a back is specifically coming to god with deep honest questions like hard questions that he's wrestling with as he sees pagan nations wicked evil nations having victory over the people of god and he's wondering. Why is this happening. I mean just think about his questions here. How long shall i cry for help. And you will not hear kreider violence and you will not save why do you make me see iniquity idly look at wrong like the whole picture. Here's a backing saying my god. Do you even hear my cries for help. Do you care. I'm grinding violence. Why won't you save back because living in the middle of evil and injustice and suffering and it seems like god is doing nothing about it survey sleaze questioning. It's one of the main questions. And the bud like god are you good. It's one of the deepest questions and live right. How can god be good. And there'd be so much evil in the world. Why am i seeing evil like this. Are you a holy god. Why do you only look at wrong. Says later in verse. Thirteen in this chapter. Your eyes are to purely on evil. You cannot look in at wrong. So how's it possible for you to be holy an evil like this to happen. Where is your power your love. Where's your word. Your law is paralyzed. Where's your justice. Justice never goes forth and basically at the bottom of all of these questions is god. Can i trust in you know. One of the things i love. Most about the book of a back is the way. It doesn't shy away from these questions. Instead it confronts these questions head on. And i i wish we can dive into the rest of the book at this moment but i i want to pray as we just consider her back chapter one alone right now and acknowledge. These are questions we russell with and these are questions we can come to god with her. Back is showing us. There's a way to humbly. Yeah exactly kaunda. God with our questions and so god i pray for people right now. I think about even some of the ways. I'm wrestling with some of these questions. When i think about my longing to go and adopt my son and day after day coming before you and asking you to make away in that way not being opened up and i i know i'm not alone in people listening to this right now. Who are praying for things asking for things and and seem sometimes like you. You're not hearing and it's it's pretty easy for us specially in our sinfulness and are just limited perspective to go from here not answering us in this way. Does this mean you don't care. And where's your goodness. And then we look injustice not just around the world but injustice that different ones were praying right now have experienced and we wonder got whereas your justice. Where is your power all of this. Where is your word. And so we bring these questions before you with humility before your god just acknowledging. We don't see all that you see. We don't know all that you know. We're not wise as you are wise and we confess your wisdom. We confess your goodness. That's what leads to these questions because we know you're good god. We know you're good. We know you're all powerful. We know you are just and we say we long to see your goodness your power your justice on display
