"Off the ball movement, the combination play between hatch and Morgan and then obviously going into the tournament and really seemed to become clear, certainly obviously as hatch got injured in that after that Jamaica game. But it became clear that this team played quite differently with Morgan. So I think that's a missed opportunity for hatch in that. We talk about forward depth on this team and it does exist. There's an abundant amount of forward depth, but that's kind of a general term in the number 9 position right now with macario hurt. It's really it's Morgan and then that opportunity for hatch, which obviously she'll want to have had a better opportunity there between the injury. And not quite showing that off the ball movement and that finishing that maybe it was needed from her. So if the number 9 position was up for grabs coming into this tournament, it looks like Alex Morgan has it locked down. Another position that I think maybe wasn't as openly upper grabs, but it's certainly a position of curiosity as we move forward is goalkeeper. Where do you think we stand in terms of the race for the number one goalie spot with the U.S. coming out of the Concacaf W championship? I think possibly the most interesting battle here in that we really don't know what going to is thinking at this moment. He actually, I think somewhat curiously did not get asked that. Postgame after the final and maybe with everything going on, but you know, you look at it looked very much like Casey Murphy had overtaken Alyssa Nara for that number one spot and then his staff go back to the veteran there who obviously 2019 World Cup winner. They go back to her for the final against Canada, tested a little bit. I think nichelle prince had some opportunities that we saw in that opening highlight where Canada had a few opportunities in the first half, but otherwise not a lot of questions asked of nair in that game. Murphy had some questions asked of her certainly in that Costa Rica match. There were a couple of little moments of perhaps uncertainty and maybe you could relate that to a rotating back line, but we come out of this tournament where I don't think we have an answer of who the number one goalkeeper is. Obviously one year to figure that out. But where it looked like Murphy had maybe taken a hold of that nair starts that final and I think potentially does that indicate that Flacco wants to go back to that veteran hand and a big moment. I think that's something perhaps one of the biggest questions to watch over the next year. Jeff, it was your first appearance on football Americas, but hopefully your first of many, I mentioned you're working at ESPN dot com also great work at equalizer soccer dot com. "In World Cup pass where Concacaf teams have come in and haven't really represented the way that we would like them to do. I mean, obviously Panama struggled. And so what I would love to see is at least if Canada don't make it out of their group, at least represent Concacaf with some with some class, just kind of show that we're continuing to get better and continuing to be more competitive. Casey, I'm pretty optimistic about Canada. I've realized it's a tough group, but when you look at what they do have, I think compared to everybody else in Concacaf, right? They probably got the best finishers in David and lahren. And I don't know if you'd agree with me here, but probably the best wide attacking threats in Davies and tajan Buchanan. Those would seem to me to be good pieces, good elements to a formula to success in tournament soccer. That at least fair to say for Canada. It's fair that they definitely have some pieces. They're young, they're inexperienced at that level, obviously. And I think that's going to be one of the most difficult things is having so many players that really haven't been on that big stage and look, it's very similar with the U.S. team as well. Yes, you got a lot of guys playing at clubs and doing things, but not qualifying for the last world cup. Definitely puts them in a little bit of a disadvantage. So yes, I agree with you, Seth. I think Canada have some really intriguing pieces in their side and so much of it will depend on like we see in so many different teams who don't have the biggest squads, are the right players fit and inform at the right time. I mean, it's a question that Canada is going to have to deal with and it's a big issue that the U.S. are going to have to deal with as well. So Casey, obviously you were talking to the guys from Bayern Munich ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga season, which, wow, it's starting 11 days from now August 5th, crazy how quickly the season kind of sneaks up on us in that regard. Let's focus on some Americans because there's a lot of players in the U.S. men's national team pool that are obviously in the Bundesliga Hercules Gomez not here for this edition of the show, but will still start up top because that's the position that I think most people want to talk about. Let's get an either or

"You wanted to find a place where you need it too. I think they might have wanted him, I bet these, but they really didn't need him so many other players in those positions. All right, let's run it back. We got some Mexican players who have found the score sheet in pre season, always exciting, but I will be managed with his second goal of the preseason this past weekend against Bashir comes off a terrible mistake. He also went off injured in this match, so some good news some bad news. Yeah, that is the big deal. He left the field injured and that has been the problem with an old human. It's just the fact that he's finding the back of the net is good news. I hope he gets his confidence back because as we established already the Mexican national team really needs their number 9. They need their number 9. They need him healthy. They need everybody really in that to get scoring. So we got raul Jimenez coming off injured, but at least finding goals and back to back preseason games now, but he's not the only one that Corona also heating up. Maui scored for Seville and a one one draw in sporting. Yeah, believe it or not, he was probably the player in best shape of it. Finishing the club season, he was actually the one who saw the more number of minutes and the best minutes as well as say, yeah, that was a fantastic move for technical Corona. Hopefully he can establish himself as an a starter for Sevilla. And what's always missing with that, the final product. There you saw some final product right there. How about Andres guardado back at PSV for pre season with Alberta, you got a hero's welcome at his former club where now of course era Gutierrez is playing in midfield. So they squared off now. Yeah, it was very emotional to see the heroes welcome bad PSV got for them. But also good news on Eddie Guterres society. He's going to extend his contract at PSV until the

"Break in, not to the team, but to the starting lineup at the World Cup. All right, let's talk about another player who is on the verge of a move. And that's Diego Linus, who has been left in Spain as Betty's begins their pre season abroad, the 22 year old Mexican international hardly played last season. That's the reality. He did win a Copa del Rey, so you got a winner's medal at least. He's been linked Mao most recently and most heavily who are just promoted from the second division. What do you think is on many of the spot to revive Diego Linus's right now stagnant club career? It's going to get minutes there, then yes. I mean, that's a simple as that. The airline is has to go to a place where the manager understands his skills appreciates that things that he can do on the field and ultimately just trusts vehicle lines. That has been the biggest issue within and the broken relationship with Manuel Pellegrini. So I'm Maria may be actually a good landing spot for the eagle liners, even though this is a team that will fight just to be in the primary. If you see them, they just got promoted. I was just trying to figure out the way they play. They play a four two three one and the way they play, I believe it actually fits vehicle liners if he's going to be a wingers starting either from the right or the left hand side. The fact that he already has three years of experience in Europe, even though he hasn't played much. But he knows the league. He understands the dynamics and if the competitions is not going to be as strong in terms of finding minutes for him as it was that is that it's just a perfect move. Two different cases, right? Santiago Jimenez San Diego line is right now priority number one for the alliance. You have to find a place where you're going to see minutes right away. No, no, in October, right away. The season starts in a couple of weeks. It has to happen now. Got to find a place where you wanted to find a place where you need it too. I think they might have wanted him, I bet these, but they really didn't need him so many other players in those positions. All right, let's run it back. "Don't say stop talking. Come back to Mexico. Watch league MX games. And be quiet because there's nothing that he has said in recent past that has made any sense whatsoever. And the fact that there's contradicting reports, I think it's just, it just pains it here, picture of where Tata Martinez head is at right now. This is a great move. And we have to think big picture. And we're still just thinking, what's gonna happen for Mexico's number 9 at the walk of 2022, and then we're trying to make that the main reason for Santiago Jimenez to make a choice do I live or do a stay? That's the wrong view that's the wrong way to see it. I think it is actually a great move because he's going to go to a more competitive league. He's going to have some minutes. He's going to have better competition around him. It's only going to make him a better player and that's exactly what you want for the Mexican national team. Have better players. Is he going to start in November in Qatar? Maybe not, but this is the future. Santiago Jimenez is the future of the position and it's fantastic news for the Mexican national team that he gets to leave this early in his career. Look, if he does start, we know you're getting some ink. We know you're getting that tattoo. It's a huge impact for the national team program for 2026. I think for 2022 as well now because we know this. If there's a Mexican player scoring in Europe, it doesn't matter where the pressure on Tata martino is going to be intense. And if I would give men still isn't scoring and punish money isn't getting the job done, a guy scoring in Europe. That's a hell of an ace to play. If you're Santiago Jimenez trying to break in, not to the team, but to the starting lineup at the World Cup. All right, let's talk about another player who is on the verge of a move. "Football, that was a completely of cathedral. He went home and said. Joining us next on football America is to discuss the potential move for Santiago Jimenez and some other moves around Mexican soccer, Mauricio pedrosa, who was playing weatherman in Green Bay this past weekend for Bayern, Munich and Manchester City, bro bravo. That was some of the best TV work I have seen in years. You and Barack unbelievable. Thank you, dude. Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Shout out to my guy. As well. He knows he's my dude. So appreciate the love. All right, so let's get into Santiago Jimenez. Now, do you think Dutch football and specifically feyenoord is the correct landing spot for this prospect who we've been talking about making the move to Europe for quite some time now? It is the perfect move to the point in which I'm now just starting to picking the spot on my body where I'm going to have to prove that they're both at tattoo after the wall cook to pay off my bed because it looks like the guy is on fire and I understand why he might be concerned in terms of timing, the timing of the move. Right when his just picking it up, absolutely and Fuego with crusade. But I think this just speaks volumes about how well he's being managed. I'm going to give props to Chris as soon as well for making this happen, but they're seeing the big picture. The big picture is I know everyone wants to play in this next World Cup. And a lot of players are making decisions just to comply with what Tata martino is asking from players, right? Get minutes play, be on the field for Santiago Jimenez is seeing the big picture in terms right now what I need is to steal develop my skills, still find my right place the right path for my

"Guy can be a difference maker for us. This guy can score an important goal for us in a moment that matters. This guy is gonna help Carlos vela in those moments in which people focus on Carlos vela, and there isn't somebody else who can maybe provide something special. Gareth Bale can do that individually, even at this point in his career. But that's for now. My point about next season is that I don't think even Gareth bale knows what happens after the World Cup. I don't think that the decision he's made just yet. I think he has in his mind and I'm putting myself in his shoes and those are big shoes to fill, by the way, that I'm putting myself into his mindset and he is right now getting ready to then hit the World Cup and hit the ground running, feel good about himself, feel good about Wales and what potentially could be a great experience for him and his teammates and his national team and the whole country of Wales. Once he goes through that, I don't know that the level of engagement unless he has a great, great end of the season here with LAFC and it's a great experience for him to have the motivation to keep going at a high level. So because I don't know what happens with Gareth Bale next season, I'm gonna take guys with Carlos vela now and I'm gonna say in senior bernardeschi next year, also assuming that those guys become very much a part of this league and buy into this league and are excited to be in this league. If that's the case, I'll take that parent next year, I'll take Bella and Werner desk now. There it is. You got a factor in the potential. You gotta factor in the potential World Cup hang over there for sure. All right, another big storyline out of Major League Soccer over the last week have been

"There isn't a whole lot of difference between them and the rest of the other teams in the Western Conference. So for me, when I think of a team that has a higher ceiling, you have to imagine that that is LA to see. They're more explosive in the attack. They're defending just as well as the LA galaxy. If you put them together right now, side by side, you have to pick one to win MLS copy would have to be LAFC. Yeah, obvious answer here is definitely LAFC. If I'm looking for an advantage for the LA galaxy and I say, well, if they play in Carson, we know LAFC can't win there, but if you look at the standings, I think it's very unlikely that LAFC would indeed have to go to Carson to play a big game. I think the other thing that we have to acknowledge when we look at these two teams is in terms of management. Maybe they're the LA galaxy have an advantage, right? Greg vanny has done it before in MLS cup. I think Steve tyrande, incredible playing career, but that managerial resume a little bit thin. Ali I was looking at the MLS cup odds earlier. And right now, LAFC in New York City are the Las Vegas favorites. If you look at the Western Conference, would you have LAFC right now is your favorite over team per se like Seattle because I know I know recently on ESPN FC I felt like I heard you, you weren't very convinced of that killing you signing. My position on the killing sign in is that this is not the direction that Major League Soccer has been heading into over the last few seasons or at the very least the rhetoric, the messaging coming out of MLS is that we're looking for young, exciting players who calm and develop here in Major League Soccer become the best version of themselves, and then eventually because you're part of the market. Now you go on sellers somewhere else and then they go and play saying the Premier League in the case O Miguel miron. That seemed to be the thought pattern going forward with MLS. Has as good a professional as he has been for Juventus. That's great a player who has been for Juventus for Italy as world class defender as he has been, the truth is part of the reason as to why he has had a difficult time over the last couple of seasons with Juventus this injuries. And that's a problem. That's an issue. That's not about your level of play that has to do more with where and tear. And that's not going to get any better. If there is something that we say about MLS is the physicality of this leak, the back and forth, the running. And then the traveling as well. This thing that we mentioned about MLS Tom and Tom again don't go away just because killing you show up. This thing still remains. And so keeling will have to deal with some of the same circumstances that MLS players have had to deal with over the last decade or so. That doesn't change at all. For me, it just doesn't seem to match the rhetoric and messaging coming from MOS that they're moving away from older players. This is an all defender that has had a history of injuries in the recent past. To the part of the question about who's the favorite out west. I'm looking at the odds, right? LAFC plus four 50 to win MLS cup. Seattle plus 900 to win MLS cup. That's a huge difference. If you had some shackles to throw on this, who would you bet on out of the west to make it to MLS cup? LAFC or Seattle or maybe somebody else. The case of Seattle is an interesting one because the success of Concacaf Champions League, I think already gives them a pass this season. And yet, since they're not going to be the favorites in the Western Conference given their current position, they're just going to drift under the radar and yes, I'm saying that the Seattle sounders seem to be drifting under the radar in the Western Conference. They usually have been at the top or near the top and would go into the playoffs as one of the favorites. LAFC will have all the pressure on them because I think that we all recognize that in terms of the talent level, they seem to be at a higher level than most teams in the Western Conference. So they should be the favorites. But do not discount the Seattle sounders. And I feel like I'm talking like Hercules now because he can not get through one of the shows without mentioning the Seattle Sanders. And his relationship with the Seattle sounders. He seems to forget, by the way, a little shout out here to Hercules. He seems to forget that he played for just about every team in this league. There it is. And there it is. Somehow, somehow he just kind of brings back the Seattle Sanders. Yes, they're very near and dear to my heart. Well, what about everybody else? You forgot about everybody else? They're not important. All right, never mind. Sidetrack. All I'm saying is that the Seattle sounders are a team that once you get into the playoffs, you think that they're going to make a run. But the favorites are LAFC. It is worth noting Hercules fair-weather affiliations. When it comes to ligaments, it's also tigress who happened to be the best of his former teams, right? That he always seems to bring up. All right, so look, a big part of the LAFC story is what's going to happen with Carlos vela, whose contract expires at the end of the month. Now we may have gotten a window into what's going to happen from Bella's postgame comments after the match this weekend. Let's listen in. Yeah, of course. I think. We create a really good team. We are doing pretty well. I feel good to be here. I enjoyed to play in LA with our fans. And of course I have that thing of mine to win a trophy with this club. So in my head is always focused on that. But in the end, this is business. We are working on that, but I'm open to be here, but if it's not working and this thing will happen, I'm also hoping to leave find another place. So full body like that, life is like that. So it's nothing to complain. Just see if in the end we can make the deal or not. How are we got reports of a deal, but nothing official in the clock is ticking. So tell me what you think. Should LAFC extend 33 year old Carlos vela long-term? Not long term, I would extend them for the next couple of seasons, but that's not a long term. Now, a couple of things. Look at it from the perspective of Carlos vela. Where are you going to go Carlos? Where is it? Where is it that the next opportunity is going to be, you're going to go back to league and I don't think so. That's not where you feel most comfortable. Certainly that hasn't been the case in the past. So where is this next deal going to come from? You are a player who has all the power in LAFC and has been historically productive for LAFC and MLS. And when Carlos.

Mayra Flores' Historic Flipping of a Democratic Seat in South Texas

"Huge development out of South Texas Myra Flores a Republican running against this guy, Danny Garcia, a Democrat for an open sea, the seat vacated by philemon vela, who got an appointment in the Biden administration. This has been a democratic seat for a hundred years. And Myra Flores needed not just a win. She had to get to 50% to avoid a runoff and she did. So she has flipped the seat. This narrows further the Pelosi margin in the house, which is already very tiny. And so, and it signals a larger trend that's going on in South Texas. Now, this is actually where you grew up. This is my home turf. This is my dream come true. And so, you know, when we interviewed Myra a few months ago, and I was, you know, I helped with the interview, I was one of the I talked to her as well. And I said, listen, this is my dream come true to make to make the valley red. I mean, I just, you know, always dreamed of that. Even when I was 14 years old, I met Ronald Reagan in harlington. That was something that, you know, hey, we have to flip this, this county red. And she did. Now, we have to help her because it's going to get a little dicey come November. Because they have done a redistricting in the valley. And so her seat is now redistricted in a way that actually gives a Democrat a 17 point lead. So we have to, you know, hey, all my Friends from Harlem and high school go vote for

"And that's why he's been on the under 22 lists without performing. It was 12 last year. Right. Because you just can't watch him play soccer and not vote for him. And yet all the other guys around him are already putting in performances at MLS level. And so now, if he can do those things, he can shoot up that list. One of the best games of the week and speaking of mama to fall. LAFC one Portland one fall with a late goal, Portland, we're up off another Jimmy Chara, not a bicycle kick for all the, you know, put answer in my mentions here. Not a bicycle kick, no, it's an overhead kick. Come on, guys, we got a really we really got to define this. I probably would normally be one of those. But Jimmy Chara only knows how to go over the top of his head in some way to score goals. What a beautiful one. For him, and then mama do fall, but at halftime the big news in the match was Carlos validating come back out of the locker room. OM Griff says if Bella continues his run of bad luck with injuries, should LAFC reconsider giving him another bag. We talked about how interesting the timing of his contract expiration is. Caleb's in crisis. What? What have you now? I mean, after a game he scores three goals, it's really easy to be like, yeah, man, give this man a two year deal. Like, let's go right now. Pony it up. No, I think this is insane. What last week we were literally talking about Carlos vela setting his own economy, like him doing creating his own currency, creating his own CBA doing everything and we were all saying, give it to him. Now he comes off at halftime and we're coming back the next week. Oh, should we just, it might be smarter to just kind of let this walk away? No, he came off at halftime. We don't know how serious the injury is. But from my perspective, if Carlos vela wants to play for your club and you are able to make that type of signing, you make it. You make that ten out of ten times. And like, yeah, he hasn't had the he hasn't had the health over the past year. He's two years. Sometimes looked a little bit disinterested. But who else in the league can do what he did the week before? And who would bet against him doing it a week or two from now again..

"One V one and then just the depth you mentioned like going to the bench and his blessing and it's orango and rapids are looking across being like, we wish we just had in arango. Let alone off the bench. We wish we had a Mousasi. Let alone you're bringing him off the bench to be real, maybe that could be our body from last year. And we'll talk more about the rapids in that sense here in a second here. How do you think this vela thing shakes out though? Anybody have a prediction? 18, 24? Does it feel safe to say he will be back or are we still in? Why would you say I'm guessing for 24 months that would mean you're back in a situation where his contract's up in June again? That would fit he wants to keep him, right? Yeah. That's fair. The roles of the structure is shift. That's leverage. That's what I'm saying. It is. Yeah, and generally, when Taylor says something, I feel like it's not just out of thin air, right? Like he's done his homework and on top of these things. So I was thinking, you know, vela may be gone. But that sort of reporting during that match last night made me a lot more hopeful just as somebody who wants to watch fell as much as possible that we're going to see him and see this best of this LA of CT. And if you're LAFC, you do what you can to hold on to this guy because I think he's still got a ton of look for the next couple of years. I mean, how long have we had players like this at this peak level for this long for one club from start of their first day as an MLS team to years going ahead and that can get you through multiple managers that can get you through some bad times to bring you back up pretty quickly and I don't know as a fan of the league I'm hopeful now..

"Are you 18? He said 18 to 24 months. He specifically said he thinks it's going to happen within the next couple of weeks. And he said, new contract, extension for 18 to 24 months. Obviously, we don't know what the numbers will be either for the length or the money, but good timing if I'm a negotiation standpoint for the link then the money to just drop a hat. For a second. And just forget contract expire in the middle of the year. Can I speak to that? If I was Carlos vela or a DP in the MLS, I would try who had European potential and interest in a history I would be trying to have my contract up in the summer for maximum leverage. Yeah, but that's why I guess but if you're in the last year, you don't do it. Sure, but if your Carlos vela, you say, hey, you want me? The deal. You should also get that. You should also be an MLS player who has a player option instead of a team option. That would be a good idea too. I think there's a reason that it's not really possible. But when we talk about velo, we talk about health, right? We don't talk about quality. We don't talk about commitment. We don't talk about how we can change the game. We just ask, will he be at a 100%? Because if he is, this is who he is. This is who he's been every day he's been MLS in MLS when he's at this level. This is where he's sort of been over the last ten years. And I think that's the exciting part as a fan of this league. And as someone who watches it consistently, you saw him feel comfortable and be able to do the things that he does at a high level. And you just see on the second goal, they win the ball back in immediately see Fuentes is like, if I can just get it to vella, he's gonna make something happen. I don't even need it to be the perfect pass. And then he just makes it happen from there. He's special, it was fun. I love that fall came and did the shine your shoe celebration. Bella didn't, he was like, no, dude, we're good. And it was like, no, I have to respect you in this way. I'm not a scientist. And it was awesome. And I think you saw the 32 52 balancing after the goal. It just felt it felt like bank of California was sort of back for the first time in two years. "Football club with a 127 points and the extra time fantasy league that Carlos vela and the captain Sebastian drusi, which yeah, captain against FC Cincinnati always a good look in that sense. Let's get into the breakdown here. Do all your biggest week one takeaway and this is basically just an opportunity to flog the column. Go read it folks. Every single week on Monday, sometimes Sunday Night. It is the definitive way to best understand what happened in Major League Soccer. What is your big takeaway with though? What is the thing that's overriding the thematically for the weekend? Well, I had something, but then you were just so effusive and glowing in your praise. That is my big thing from the weekend. Everybody's just filled in the world with good vibes today. The big thing for me, it was the struggles of the CCL teams. I thought Seattle Montreal, you know, and I'm blanking on the other two teams for Colorado. Well, Colorado obviously and NYCFC. NYC. Thank God, thank you. David, right? This is what I mean, you threw me off with all that positivity with me. I'm going to get that done. I mean, well, so Colorado stone can CCL, but NYCFC Seattle in Montreal were all very good. Those teams combined to go no wins for losses, no draws, zero goal scored, 7 goals conceded 5 in the second half. It was just a good reminder of how hard it is to balance CCL and the regular season, especially at the start of the year. And over the past four years, in 2018, a CCL teams in MLS week one went one, three, and one. In 2019, they were one, two, and two. In 2020, that was an outlier. They went four one and O 2021 last year. No one's too losses, three draws, only two goals scored. So what the union did last year being competitive in the regular season, being competitive in the CCL all the way to the semifinals. You don't see that every year. It hurts to play in this competition for most teams..

"I think chicharito is only like 8 months older than Carlos vela, and yet you look at kind of where they are with where they see themselves in the national team and it's just totally totally different and remember her. Remember it was you hoop for a long time when Tata martino was kind of saying no, that was out. And you said, well, wait, wait. Are you ready now to say it's over now, right? Yeah. It's over. I mean, he told us it's over now. I mean, we have to take his word for it, but I was holding firm on that. The old podcast. Your max and her show. I was very firm about that. It's funny because you talk about how linked they are and how close they are in age. People forget that U 17 World Cup that Mexico beat Brazilian in Peru. Whereas Giovanni was Giovanni dos Santos and Carlos vela show. Didn't go to that World Cup. He was deemed not good enough to be part of that squad and kind of how they're past keep crossing across the interchange and I should say, and now they're both in the same city and wow, just different ends of the spectrum. It's pretty crazy. All right, let's turn them against each other, pit them against each other one more time. Shall we? With a quick addition of bucket. Who's going to score more goals in the upcoming MLS season hurt? We'll keep it simple. And listen. Let's just say for a second that Carlos plays more than the 6 months because that's not a given. It's contracts only to the summer. So I have that advantage if I go for chicharito. I also have the advantage that I know what I'm going to get from chicharito Hernandez and Greg vanny. And what I mean by that is I know who the galaxy are with Greg vanney. I know where chicharron fits into that spectrum if you will. I don't know what I'm gonna get up stage to run to low and this version of LAFC. Maybe on paper a more underwhelming version of LAFC than years pass and that's a reality. So till I know what that looks like, I just gotta go with smart money. I know that it is fit and it has opportunities. Javier knight is going to score goals. So I will pick up yet Hernandez. We know more about the galaxy. We know more about the contract situation with it. But we also know more about chicharito's health, right? Let's not forget these guys are on the wrong side of 30. And with Carlos vela, we don't really know just how long he's going to last, even if he does end up signing a contract extension that keeps them through to the rest of the year. The one point to make here because I watched another show on ESPN the borte aura. And I saw some guy doing an interview on that show with Carlos vela and in that interview, Carlos vela said he still has two or three years left competing at the best level. And if that's true, if vela can get back to his best level, he'll score more than chicharito, because 17 and 21, which is what chicharito did last year is not 34 and 31. The best of vela is still going to be the best in this league, right? If he hits if he hits back at that top top peak, 75% of vela is going to be better than the 90% of Major League Soccer. And that's a reality. 34 goals, 15 assists. I've never seen a player. It was Joe vinco asking that ridiculous Toronto team, but even then Joe vinco wasn't doing what vela was doing as far as numbers..

"Bring better players. You have more place in the bench they can change the game. In MLS, sometimes it's harder if you have two, three injuries. It's really difficult to build Mexican teams. So in that part, we are a little bit in trouble so the rest, I think the MLS is doing really well. It's growing like that fast, they can be a really good leak in the future and they're in a good way. I think they are working really hard and really well. So Mexican league have a lot of things they can learn from them or less. Let's stay in Mexico for a second. It's a World Cup year. It's Carlos vela telling me the door is closed and there's no chance he will play with the Mexican national team or does Carlos vela leave that door open. Now, miss Claus. Why is that Carlos? Sorry? Why is that? Why is that door closed for you? Because I think I had my chances. I played two workouts. I don't make Mexico past to the 5 to the 16 game. So it's time to jump people, new players can have their opportunity to show to try to make that for Mexico. I think it's the only way to prove when you let the chance to other guys and try to make them get that pressure, get that level and make them happen. Carlos vela, man, we appreciate you. Thanks so much for coming on our 100th episode here at football Americas and we hope to see you again soon. Anytime, take care. All right, herk. Great times with Javier Hernandez and Carlos vela, what a moment. How about the crossing of the paths there? Excellent work by our production team to sort that all out. "First couple I'm going into it thinking I need to over perform and do something to save the team. But there's no need for that because we have a very strong team. He continued. I think at times I was overthinking it and trying to be too good in a way that's not necessary. I don't need to whatever over complicate things. Okay, herc, so is American soccer. And I guess that includes us. Are we putting too much pressure on young Christian Pulisic? No. No. No, absolutely not. It's laughable. The type of pressure that one would get in the United States compared to a England, a Brazil. I actually disagree with that, herc. I disagree with that. And then you can disagree with it. But in those other countries, you have a million other players to share the spotlight with Politico. They're familiar to share the spotlight with Chris shadows and have a million other players share the spotlight with Cristiano and messy. You're asking if he's got too much pressure. There is no footballer in this country that has too much pressure. Now, while I will concede is he puts too much pressure on himself. Nobody's asking him to beat 5 players at a time. Nobody's asking him to take on the responsibility of qualifying a nation. Nobody's asking him to say we are going to be the face of American. We are asking him to be the guy in the beginning. Nobody's asking him to do all that. I understand that this is pressure that he's imposing on himself. Now, maybe he feels the pressure because there's a $75 million transfer fee as a 20 year old from Dortmund to Chelsea. Maybe he deals with pressure because there's multi-million dollar contracts that were Nike and now puma. And other endorsements. There could be other outside factors for you to have pressure on. That you feel you need to perform to keep gaining those lucrative contracts. That is one thing. But on the field, I'm sure Greg berhalter is not telling him you have to do this. You have to be that. He's just saying, help us win. Beat you and help us win. This is Christian Pulisic not only finding himself as a footballer, but as a person, I remember what I was what I was like when I was 23 years old. I didn't have all the years ago. I didn't have all the answers. I also remember this. I also remember being 23 years old and at the galaxy and my teammate at the galaxy was land in Donovan. I remember being at the national team and my team ain't teammate was Landon Donovan. I remember the similarities of this guy has all the pressure himself imposed pressure of U.S. soccer because we've never had that superstar Christian ballistic is the closest thing, but by no means is his face in the cover of every magazine or you click a channel and it's on every screen you see. There are certain types of pressure this ain't it. Yeah, yeah, he's got pressure. I actually think it's healthy that he sees that he's the one putting that pressure on. He's got the adequate amount of pressure for all that's expected of him. He did have a $73 million transfer to Chelsea. He is sponsored by basically every big brand in American sports. So all those expectations come with that. I think it's good, though, that a player at that age of 23 can see, hey, I'm the one putting a lot of this pressure on and it's that kind of self inflicted pressure hook that I think is what's dangerous. You probably as a professional can speak more to that. I think it's also good that we see guys like Weston McKinney and other players getting into these elite levels. Getting into those big games. Because that also is going to take. It's going to take some of the pressure. Absolutely. Off Christian Pulisic and as he said, he's got a great team around him all right. In case you missed it from the FIFA Club World Cup final, you're going to love this hurt. This is some gamesmanship extraordinaire. Right? We're an extra time. Chelsea's.

"The everything moment to him. Nope, of course, of course, you got to win your Champions League to get to this tournament. I'm not agreeing with the Craig Burley's of the world they call this a plastic cup, right? I think that's a very European perspective. You go pretty much anywhere else in the world. They'll tell you just how special you are. Two cities benefit in city would kill to be that tournament. All right. I think this is something for a couple reasons. One, this was an emergency situation, right? Like no coach if you're Thomas Tuchel, do you in the first half hour of a game hurt? Do you want to be faced with a need to make a change? So in an emergency, the first guy that he turned to, the first guy off the bench was Christian Pulisic. And I think pulisic answered the call and answered the call really, really well. So we talk all the time about politic and Tuco's relationship. I don't know if you saw the image after the game, but there's a pretty intense hug between the two of them and I wonder if as we look for politics to maybe get more of the faith from the manager. A performance like this might go quite a ways there. It is something for like U.S. soccer, right? Big picture. We have to say that. It's some type of watershed moment, even if it isn't maybe him starting in the Champions League Final. I guess my question here is if he's going to be the guy in these games, right? We really want to see him not just play in these games. It might be starting these games, dominate these games. We didn't see that in this game. We didn't see it in the Champions League Final. Do you still think Christian Pulisic is maybe the top of the list of the American player to eventually break through to that level to really make this everything? You know, 'cause you said you said in the past that like a guy like Giordano is higher ceiling. You know, I feel that Jill rayna has the highest ceiling of any player, but the moment right now. He's totally much closer, right? Not only is he much closer. I mean he's 23 years old. He's still got so much more time ahead of him. Bearing injury, but if you want to go through the last 12 months of production will put up that crazy just the last 12 months he's won the U.S. miss national player of the year, a Champions League. The UEFA Super Cup. He's also won the nation's league against Mexico. And he scored against Mexico and the work of coughing qualifications. It's just an outrageous outrageous 12 months and this is a player that is not really you would say in those 12 months, scratch the surface. I mean, that quarter. 12 months wouldn't be. I mean, the narrative around Christian policies is that he's had this bad 12 months. Did you look at the trophy hall? And it's historic, not just for an American player for any player, right? For any player. I don't care what country you're from. That is a good 12 months. Georgina with the 12 months is voted or nominee. You know what I mean? So take that into consideration about how we hold the standard of what is Christian Pulisic right now. Christian politics, look, you can see right there. It's very impressive for a 23 year old. And I agree with what you're saying. We expect that because in those 12 months, what we've seen is, wait a second. Quarter final against Porto. Here's the best player in the field. Semifinal gets around Madrid. The first leg, he scored the goal against Ramadan and his sister, just like this player shows you flashes that it could be amongst the world's best, but they are flashes. And that's what gets people triggered. They want to see Christian Pulisic all the time do this. Yeah, and maybe in the final they also want to see him take advantage of the opportunities because in this game to the point of something nothing everything, there was two chances in the second half one in extra time. If he finishes one of those, this is indeed then and everything moment and everything performance. I don't know speaking of Chris simplistic. If you saw a great article on our website from our colleague James Ollie last week, it was over on ESPN dot com and exclusive interview with pulisic. We're kind of candidly detailed some of his difficulties in dealing with the pressure that comes with labels like Captain America and face of American soccer. Things you've probably heard here on football Americas. I want to pick out two specific quotes from Christian ballistic and then we'll get your reaction to them. Here's the first one. Especially going back to the U.S.. Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself that I need to do something special where I just need to play the best I can, do what I can do and hopefully people recognize that. Again, that's Christian ballistic exclusive with James Ollie. You can read the whole article on ESPN dot com. Here's more. For example, in the last national team games, the.

"So the big debate was going on this weekend about. Three of the minority owners which own forty percent of the team had told Daniel Snyder. They're out if he doesn't do it Nike has put pressure on them, so it's now happening. She was on July second, so it was right before the weekend and I re tweeted it for those that didn't get a chance to see as you can. you can see it at Sodano. And I thought. She made an unbelievably compelling argument. I thought it was fantastic on her part. It was talking about at the time. Nike and Fedex and Pepsi. Ties with Washington. And, she wrote the argument I've heard. is about the argument for keeping the name? Quote if we changed the team's name. We lose our history. My reply, and by the way she's right. That's what most people are saying. which is kind of silly, but I thought she surmised they're perfectly. Jeanie, said my reply. It's human beings. But the national parks are always seen as a breath of fresh air. The sweeping vista stir the soul, wildlife and waterfalls awaken a sense of wonder. American wilderness of playground for old and for young and overwhelmingly white. Some people might say, Isn't this just that people of color don't like to camp? That's a generalization, and they're just because something isn't happening or the presence of someone is missing does not mean they don't want to be there. Too many Americans of color parks campgrounds enforced land are stubborn bastions of self segregation. Racism was a factor at the founding of America's national parks created in part to be an escape for white urban elites. Several were racially segregated into the 19 fifties. Many considered uninviting to people of color into the 19 nineties. Which Liverpool Will Show Up Against Chelsea?

"Chelsea Segment Liverpool tomorrow in the FA Cup Chelsea favorites actually To make it through to the quarter-finals proteins of wobbles of late. Which point of view is interesting? Because you'd imagine that they'll both go strong for this. Well I'm not sure I'm not sure. I actually think that someone digital in this area I think Chelsea my ever sneaky Johnson not because Liverpool were very weekend against wofford which to wear but one hole and two. And I'm only surmising here. You might be thinking about putting all these eggs and not jumping sleep boskin. But that's next week. You know that you know you try. And things like that we can mic on. You seem in. This man are vaccinated. I'm not talking about a player but I'm tired. I'm talking key. Players getting injured rights right. So it don't matter if the game is next week or ten days right not the full to lose money for. Minot already lost had this same delusion. Dale Van Dyke so I wonder whether or not he will make some not wholesale. Make quite a few changes for this game thinkin right. Bremer leaked pretty much the bike. Yes he's leak. You need to get you play a shop playing properly. I'm with Craig. I fully understand of you club. Mix Mix mix change it just because I just explained to me what will intend result against Wofford but even though Liverpool have been winning some of their performances have been great as you spoken about over the last couple of weeks or so of hood that you spoke about the last couple of weeks. So you understand if he wants to change things and maybe give some of keeps the rest at the same time Chelsea. I expect them to go strong. They have been all over the last few weeks really cover year on. Does he give give kept our roads and maybe figure things out with John so I I think this is a big game for Chelsea on you. See that brutally lineups probably result don. I totally agree with shocker. I cannot see Liverpool plains. Strong team looked at a team. They played against shoes being the last round and it was full of teenagers. Harvey Elliott played at Sixteen Chiro. Vela eighteen the oldest player was twenty one. So I can't imagine many of you have big hitters planning this because it's Craig said before you pick up an injury now and even though the chums league is approximately ten days away. You got no chance recovering so you don't play them now you don't play them against former Earth truly you need. I don't think sharpness I think played enough. Games is enough games in their legs to suggest that they are shot. I mean if anything I feel a little bit jaded. I thought you saw that in the performance against Wofford so I think you'll go pretty strong against Balmer. But even then he can rescue strong against former which is closest to the Atlanta game and getting doesn't matter at all I don't of the Premier League's the holy grail formulaic. It's funneling well. We we know the one the primly but young couple still want to get back on the horse of lost one game against Wofford and eastward in the press today saying good teams. Don't lose to the spin so that suggests to me that you know will will play people Adam Alana if he's in one or two others but it I guarantee you it'll be a very very young side against Chelsea then it'll be semi strong against Bournemouth and then he's full-strength side again southbound after the hostages. He can't take any chances. If if Monay for me no you know Van Dyke Allison if any of those pickup injuries in the next couple of games. I mean you'd have to say. The chances of them go through would be slim as the explanation. Divide combine any of them three three x pros plausible explanations of how the changes against Chelsea and make more changes against Baltimore in the League and then he hoped he put his strongest against us led to Madrid. Right that's not rocket science right just because you go there and play all his best players. Don't think Liverpool team right. We'll look at it and go while I think we'll look at it and it will be very much a hybrid. I'll be surprised if not rutland on prediction. I think Chelsea win because I said before the two sides the team in the manager that needs the result. Moawad it's frankly been on a desperate Ron. I come and tight on their game in the beginning against Balmer. They were lucky to get a draw. Fill scored a very company. Easy Chances. Zeljan would've got beaten the game so then not in great form so I would imagine frank logo really really strong and I think young young. Nothing the home side win for the reasons I mentioned. We'll have with changes which I think will come and Chelsea being at home and played some good stuff at home. I'm going to go for that reason. Jesse thanks very much

He wants to personally only be the best he wants to score more goals and everybody else he wants to watch more assistant embryos I want to be the best player on this is coming to this league and the first thing he says I I want to win championships. I want to add stars. He saying all the right things. Oh by the way he had a message regardless Villa Carlos. Well knows. I'm in the team. The best team the biggest club in this country he also knows I'm in the biggest club in La. The message has been sent. She tries to knows what the game's about getting to the biggest star in this market that the galaxy could possibly win for they got their man and now once again after the parting of selecting which we got ourselves a game you save biggest star what about the actual sure thing that matters most on the field. WHO's a better player see? That's a tricky one. Because I know how you want to play this out that you can score goals and a few years that he went from Westhampton via but where was where was Gatos Vela before a major league soccer. What would they say? What were they saying about him? Coming to major league soccer when this was was going about they were saying he's washed wisely going major league soccer. It's another failure. It's a step down all the same things we're seeing about this and what happened. Got Vela regained form in major league soccer and now the national team wants him back. Now everybody's talking about Godzilla. Hey even the loan was looking at those well. WHO's to six can't do the same she genital? After all is a goal score something that has never been known to Quite be and he's also the bigger player as far as star power. So so who is the better player. Now answer the question. That's so irrelevant. The better player now. TRAE dyson stepped on the field. So you have the the two and the tooth irrelevant to better player soccer. Those are apples to oranges. You should know better than this. You can't compare that league. The Premier Premier League two major league soccer. That's already losing three zero to me. Who's WHO's the best player today? Answer the question. Listen Got Bella is by far the most talented player of his generation talented. What a cop out? WHO's the best player today said? This is so ridiculous. What you're doing gene has been formed? been out of form in the Premier League Carlos. Nelson's better player Carlos Valet better players there yourself so because you know let me talk. You can't hear through that thick smoke that you're trying to let people smoke bombs thrown out. There has been there. You don't let's see it. So who's the better player. It's irrelevant a better player. Because it's gotTa be proven on the field because this is the one thing and you know this very very well you know this very well savvy. He coulda had to historic seasons. He could have been the best player last year as well as he could have done. This crazy amount of number thirty four goals I believe fifteen assists but but if in one season she has let's say more than twenty goals and lists that trophy kick does it matter what got it got. It was well. It didn't pass those down now if you

Why murdered Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia is back in the news

"Malta to the island nation. South of Sicily is in turmoil over a mysterious murder. Three senior figures in the Maltese government has stepped down including the Prime Minister's chief of staff. Keith was taken into police headquarters for questioning. It's all to do with the death of investigative journalist. Daphne Caruana Galizia. She died in October of twenty seventeen in a car bombing and for the people of Malta. The mystery around that has not disappeared before Caruana Galizia was killed. She'd been working on a story about government corruption implicating. The Prime Minister's Chief of staff. Corinne Villa is a sister of Daphne Caruana Galicia and she joins us now from Malta. There seems to be a growing momentum around the investigation into your sister's death. What is giving you the most hope? Recently the fact that something is happening tool the fact the rest is long. Dukes of lost wrestler in December. Two thousand seventeen so for longtime it seemed like nothing much was happening. It's it's not the end yet and there's no end in sight but we are hopeful things made just now stop to change. What do you believe? These resignations of these officials and these arrests will reveal in terms of evidence that could lead to the prosecution of the people who ordered and planted this bomb in your sister's car that given this much Inflammation slowing Very Long Week and things have shifted a lot but what research novice Daphne's murder was related to her work and none of the three men who bought cues assuming put the ball in her car with anybody she she actually wrote about herself so I definitely other people were involved now with the new arrests. You in the threat of might of happened is becoming clearer. And now is the recent information about the PRIMUS chief of staff being arrested interrogation. The murder suspect. It seems to strands coming together. So Maltese businessman. Jurgen Vinik is the owner of the infamous. Seventeen black secret company listed as a target client of two off-shore Panamanian companies owned by the Prime Minister's chief of staff and Minister Conrad Mitzi. It's it's very complicated. But what do you believe is the link between the revelation of the Panama. Papers a story that your sister have been working assiduously on and your sister's death. The the only connection between Oregon panic and these two men is he said seventeen black. That's a company avenues. Had I mentioned but she never really Had time to go into an ever about again but naturally the people who are called could see. She was getting close to a very uncomfortable truth. The connection. Enough News Mudd is starting to become clear if people she wrote about had been you know how to face justice right away. This is a very good chance. She would be alive today. Korean Take back to October twenty seventeen when your sister was killed. How did you find out? I wasn't home because I work from home. My nephew called me and said you have to come now. There was a boom in Mommy's car and that's an it hasn't stopped since then we've been fighting for justice ever since the new developments wants In the investigation. You said earlier that they're long overdue. How active was the government to twenty seventeen and pursuing an investigation? What did you see but the you know the only movement in in the case with the arrest of three men December two thousand seventeen and against the old magisterial inquiry was going on with kept open? The length of time took to move from that point to where we are today suggest that had been direct political interference in the investigation but if the walls interference than we I can only guess at where that was coming from and why it was happening given that the Prime Minister's chief of staff is now a murder suspect. Are you making the assumption option that these officials in Malta would not be stepping down if they were not implicated in her death. It's Dalton assumption. They reasons reasons for stepping down. Oh reasons only can explain but they have very definitely implicated. Your sister dedicated her career to uncovering corruption Censor death what has changed in Malta in the corruption area but it is an amazing thing that people have continued covering offering subject. You know given that was killed. It must have been a very very big step for people to Continue Hawaii Change has happened is that is allowed. A civil society not does not have a tradition of public protests of people taking to the streets no groups organizing themselves. All of that happened as a direct result of Daphne's murder and now we are seeing changes political level as well people finally beginning to realize that what avenue was writing wasn't partisan it was truth and it was the sexual so that's in Malta. I'm the rest of the world though I mean the Panama papers was a massive data leak one of the biggest ever in history and then it seemed to slip out of the headlines. I mean there. There was a netflix feature. Moving documentary but do you feel that the rest of the world has moved on from this big story about offshore counseling billionaires hiding their assets from the tax collectors. I it's hard to predict what happened from here on but you know you can't argue with murder but we do know that there have been movements in other countries. People who resigned telling people have been forced out of office have been all of those changes none of this changes happened in Malta. The first direct change is scan breeze resignation yesterday day on Mris soon followed also. Those are the two men in the Panama papers who should have resigned three years ago. What will happen from here on? It's really hard to Korean Vela. The sister Daphne Caruana Galicia thank you very much for being with us. Thank you for calling

LAFC get over El Trafico hump! Zlatan's last game? Plus, ATL roll on, NYCFC biff it & Sounders end Rimando's career

"News it's fair that's the right you have their hand up in fingers out and they'll say five they say five we have I I mean I it's tilting towards that player improves Bob trusts him that player goes out there that player play interested in Blackman say the name of Bachman in this game but he's a second year player he was drafted as a fullback he started as a centre back in the playoffs against lot Abrahama Vich and he was good we see for Dennis to close a became a part of Giancarlo gonzalves not one of them but you're already had seven centrebacks on the roster what we're going to do about him so I would be shocked to see five or six of these names even on the team next year then we saw in the starting lineup that frontline next year as Pavonis Alessandrini Cheeto in the middle of the scar one hundred fifty goals tonight's game on whether it was his last in the last quote it's not about money I have another two months that's on his contract we will see what happens Mike because it also sounds like it might be about that's the type of thing you say when you say if you want people to watch you pay me more money I don't think it is and from like he he didn't do the pre game interview with ESPN and he seemed a little not rattled but annoyed and tailored tweeted out and said one of the Galaxy Representative said he's been like this all week I think some people took that as he's locked in but I took it as he's just kind of a bit annoyed with hall thing and the way maybe the season's gone and you could say there's a million arguments you can make a million different directions one is he's done everything he can the team hasn't put a team around him why should he spend more time trying to make this better you could also say that he came inside concord he didn't win a championship but he's been one of the three best scores in the league over the last two years after he blew out his knee and came back in a new place and did all that so nothing would surprise me but if you're let me to put a guess on somewhere I'd say he's not playing soccer next I got well it I think you're wrong about that but anyway I gotta ask you this what grade do you give Garam Barrow Scarlata for this year now there are extenuating circumstances those circumstances there's lots on anytime you are managing a team was slapped on that is a very very real I'm going to say it's a limiter on what you can do do both with Latin in with the players around now I would not give him any higher than a B minus I think why I think his job was to to construct something behind slot on that wasn't just a complete seve and it was just you had to find a way Eh get some semblance of organisation you had enough especially when pavone came in special players to do a three man game and attacking sense it can work was Unin pavone and fill in the blank even if it's early on tuna in major league soccer you just have to find a way to get your bit-part players of the guys that you picked up have you don't fit for Denison closer maybe we'll never be back but who cares it might be last year the galaxy you gotTa Win some symbols of Organization and structure and competence see defensively to get a better than a B minus grade in this sense he's inexperienced coach he's done before he's been in shaping which I know he's had more talented at Boca Juniors he's played in this league the crew when he played for them if I remember correctly you were not some expansive team he was a difference maker he made the Batak around him better it was down four four one one he played completely free role they had Allie Marino as as a centre forward just dragging defenders around it just to open it you had an opportunity to Kinda almost two structures one is Latin and whoever the hell is up there and the rest is the rest of the team guys just dig in Yeah figure it out getting your blocks don't teams have easy goals and this team I'm GonNa make a guess other than FC Cincinnati probably gave up the most like Oh my God what goals are you kidding me right now that's what how did that happen I agree with you I think it'd be minus is probably a good grade yeah probably for what's going on and I I love Guillermo so for Sir I felt bad going in part of this lots conversations I'm fascinated to see what he does Latin doesn't return like water the allegations he looks like under his vision the way he builds after that a little bit of time but I don't know that he was that creative with formations to say like I gotta figure something out we'll make the post is in but here's my four weeks test this and here's my two weeks attest this and I think in places you mentioned for Bob Rally a young guy will learn and get better where did we see that right who Leonora who played well and then all of a sudden Ralph John Fletcher's the difference maker now John Carlos Gonzales is you're right back the he had three incredible central midfielders they could never really control games like why was that night the tiger let's just see if we can get our foot on the ball on that will be our defending is well control games so grew with we I think a lot of it unfortunate wasn't good enough from him but it'll be interesting to see in year two if he doesn't have slots on how he chooses to play how his team you can kind of understand why it was in some ways because it was like the island of misfit toys and a lot of all these different teams that failed and then they come in you have Gonzaga on your Guy Z.? You lose all of a sudden you have expectations that are always over the maybe the capability of the team especially this era where they've been to close at one year I think you've got to start judging my next especially there's lots on you but you better have had a plan and I expect they do we'll see what that plan is before we move onto union Atlanta to know what you think about Bradley's Will Fang his little spots are who I really respect as a journalist I loves me I think he does a great job I think he's the future broadcasting US bilingual aspect of it with Mexico and the US and legal maximum loss be mashed up into one place he was very dominated his questioning about Carlos Vela and whether Carlos Villa had finally stepped up in a big game and Bob was incredulous and perhaps rightly so in the moment What do you think what do you think it was one person's job to ask obvious questions that everyone in the world is thinking it's another person's set up there to answer those questions I don't think anything that are asked was ridiculous I mean he asked the question he has and he asked the question everyone else and he asked actually and he's set bob up to say there's no chance anyone could say what you just said anymore he was phenomenal tonight he's been phenomenal season he's EP of major league soccer he's the best player this league's ever seen and he's going to go in and MLS Cup yeah it was that simple but it was fun the way it happened Bob a stupid Bob knows a good. TV's Bob knows everybody in that locker room is going to see that see him sticking up four to see him sticking up for for his best player the heartbeat of the team many messy the MLS messy like I I'm not saying like I I'm certain Bob's emotion in that moment because you could see he loves Carla I'M CERTAIN THAT EMOTION and was real but I'm all I think it was somewhat calculated for the to to make that a moment say like see they're always going to be asking this about what s let's go kick set go Seattle's as was win MLS Cup show every let's shut everyone up forever that's what that was I like it if that's what it was I like it I enjoyed it he's like look there's an ESPN ESPN notification that goes out after that you don't see that for they get that for the win I don't think like let let's just if that's what it takes man like you have all the historical rancid it's out there but you know how I feel about this league sometimes flavor man give me some flavor and Bob Bradley absolutely did Elliot C are moving on their the low number one seed remaining they just got to win one game and if they do that most couple in Los Angeles at Bank of California Stadium talk about it on Monday because we're that's the nice thing is Monday comes and we can really dive into Seattle L.. AFC and I just throw something out there sure I would be shocked if Seattle won that game I think that it's going to be more comfortable than the game we just watched this is the third tune in on Monday that producer honors a noted satellite is that the right the right phrasing for that unders Seattle Seattle ish person who's he's not happy with us that's fine we don't here to please you unders let's talk Atlanta Philly Alanna do what they do they win at home in the Playoffs Limitation Games it's eight in a row so far this year us Gut Communist Cup into the Audi twenty playoffs couple of shutouts Philadelphia great season great season Talla gap town gap better players bigger moments we also had this thing where it's like Philly I have eleven great players they're a great group which means they don't rely on one person but unfortunately that also meant if anyone got hurt they were behind the eight ball and you're not going to go in a scenario where you have all eleven guys healthy for every player Front Josie Outdoor Omar Gonzalez are out right Walker Zimmerman and Mark Anthony Care out so every you're always gonNA have injuries miles Robinson and Michael Parkers now not to mention Lee win in that previous like Mark Anthony Cares out loud wind came in and hit a decent philly doesn't have that former MVP game and Broncos on makes a phenomenal save but you as you watch this game it was hard to see where the goal was gonna come from four Philly and I don't think it's knock on them to go on short rest to go on

Pelosi resists Democratic calls to start impeachment proceedings

"Till the House Democratic caucus remains fragmented on the issue of impeachment of President Trump. Correspondent Linda Kenyon has the story. Speaker Nancy Pelosi remains cautious. About impeachment saying it is more important to conduct careful investigation and build an airtight case for impeachment rather than to charge headlong into impeachment proceedings house majority whip James Clyburn beliefs. That's true. Yes. Feel a big on. We've got all of these committees doing their work we have in hearings. We've already one two court cases, and their other cases that are still to be determined state of the union Kleiber says, Democrats must be careful to build a case that sticks. Is trying to do and the rest of us in the house of Representative. This is to the Vela process by which we can physically move on this issue. West Virginia Democrat, Joe Manchin, CBS face the nation. He does not believe impeachment is the right way to go a little over seventeen months to the next election. If you wanna go through impeachment we get very little done there. Anyway, we're get nothing done. If you go into that next, there's not one Republican in the Senate that would vote for impeachment, so why waste your time you have an election coming up Pinon there and make your choice, saying impeachment while lightly in the house is equally likely to hit a brick wall in the Senate house, intelligence committee, chairman Adam Schiff tells ABC's this week he agrees for now will look, I think we're going to do what's right for the country and at this point, this speaker has not reached the conclusion, I haven't either that is best for the country to put us through an appeasement preceding that we know is destined for failure in the Senate. Now that calculus bay chain. If the president continues to stonewall if the president continues to demonstrate his unfitness for office. But what if it's a close call a we have an important legislative agenda to try to advance a we have important oversight work? We can do outside the context of impeachment. Republican Senator Joe Kennedy on CBS face. The nation says impeachment just won't fly. And here's why impeachment polls right up there with skimmed milk among the American people, and Kennedy offer some advice for the Democrats, if you wanna do it go hard or go home. "He can be allowed to grow a situation like berries. And he's already got minutes before I expected it. He played what nine minutes Kennedy match today for about nine nine minutes. That's a lot more than I thought he'd even get I thought he'd be just part of the first team and they'd gradually integrate them into. So they're already looking and get them. First minutes that's already a win anything that happens with what is a win. Let's keep that straight different scenarios. We losing he broke. He's he's LA Hoya. I don't think that it's the case every anything God bigots Titians for him in your always because your van and also because he's the is Bryce Mexican export ever because he's size dance. Another debatable shirt wanted chunky because everybody's to. We can't find an exempt figure and your inflation will hold on. Not only inflation you have to figure in how much percentage of future transfers these teams. But you go some. Yes, twenty I do not know the actor that comes some percentage just a problem. So let's reserve this bright talk really quickly close to and all that factors into things. Like, dude. I I don't I just can I ask. I'll watching bettys every week and. His price life politic's price is inflated because of where they come from the North American market. I don't know about that. Because I think you could say everybody has a reason why their prices inflated, I say this Argentine guys prices inflated 'cause he's Argentine or Brazilian Mexican guy got sold to injure. What was it price tag? It was lower than license. But lions commands a different market like chew ki- like like villa like Christian pulisic is this market North America. And I'm talking about the US market. And I'm not just talking about Americans because we talk about US market big chunk of that consumers who you have a Mexican American which is what which is why just a Mexican living in in America. The numbers fascinate me. Actually, it's a really interesting study, you spent seventy three million Christian, pulisic and. Two years Champions League Buddhists again this belt. So the numbers, but with this three let me just put this out there. If I was a sharp. If my goal is European club was to capture the American market, you can see this. But I'm air quoting right? I wouldn't be critical is it you win signed Christian for this. If you wouldn't be the first player at sign if I was a smart executive, and I wanted to have people living in the United States care about my team player. I would not saw would not play for the second biggest eight or even the United xactly that's Mexican players on trying to get out with dig lightness know, I fully understand what you're saying. I think it's a very smart thing to do many people confuse the American market would just being American. If you see if you get a Mexican player. Have you got dinosaur? Tuckey you get the American market correct bigger chunk of the American skin any American play which telling that the Mexican market, and when you do that which running on so price should be inflated. Player. Look at. One hundred minutes less much as I love. There's a very short six hundred team Dr goals, thirty nine first-team games.
