Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a new 16-bit beat-'em-up

"Needs to Turtles shredders revenge. Who thought this one coming nobody. I drink turtle's brawler stuff. Still right and that's like the one type. Eternal game that gets made besides japanese. Yeah i action games not good once. Yeah i mean yeah. We hope it's good. It has good pedigree behind it. Trivia games The guy did the one. I enjoyed last year. Very much panzer paladin. What like. I was not that interested in this because only because so many of these throwbacks end up being disappointing. Right like you're so jazz and exciting. It comes out and it's fine. You know and then and then and then it's over but this one every single portion of the announcement. I'm mike okay. Okay developer like good like they're hitting all the right notes. I could not be more jazzed. I think this is going to be the one that like actually delivers on the promise of like what. Sort of a modern throwback can be. Well yeah except that it's it's being Published by dot edu. Who last year brought a street bridge. Four which is also another great modern classic broader exactly johm. It looks so cool. it's reg. I'm not a journalist guy. So i'll i'll connect to this on the brawler level. It streets ridge four had anything that was like kind of like a meta gain. That kind of like did something. Brawlers didn't like an rpg system like mercy ransom or like castle crashers or anything like that. It had an interesting scoring mechanism. Where the longer you went. Without taking damage higher your score would go which is kinda cool and a stressful to me. I liked it. It also had a really really great animation. Of course herbals game is going for classic. Look like it is a sequel to the original turtles. Arcadian nearly nineties Our producer is writing me. That turtles in time is so much fun now. I played all the early turtles brawlers. they're fine. I played them like crazy. When i was a kid. But you guys know how i feel about brawlers need something extra or just too boring other. Otherwise it's good for you know ten dollars worth of quarters in the arcade galway's grant them that but i don't want that in my home and even with four people i'm gonna play through once maybe and it was to see all the cool pixel art and stuff so that'd be nice in this and i'm sure it'll be interesting but back in the day brawlers were cutting edge graphics. There's nothing that looked as good as them. And that was the reason for me to play them like run racers were first coming out not gonna play daytona usa ever again but i was pretty excited about daytona usa. When it was at a bank of machines in the arcade. I'll close up ten dollars in quarters into this machine. But i won't buy it for ten dollars. I wouldn't do that. It's the arcade experience in your with your friends and you're like how long can this quarter get mean this round. How much have improved since my last order experience. Exactly yeah maybe something will modify a cabinet and we can all play together to extreme or something in the future. that'd be cool way to experience. What if the game free but every time you wanted to play again at cost you asked about that. And nobody's really done. The twenty five cent per game system microsoft tried doing that with xbox live arcade border per play. It was something like that. We had to pay each play of these classic arcade games. Oh yeah one of the castle. Vania games like that. One of the xp la's spinoffs. Maybe joe was the castle vania. Excellent spin off that was like that zoom in and zoom out one which is was the cooperative one. That was really cool. I don't remember the pace anyway. You are right sam. I beat dragon and the arcade back in the day. But only because my grandpa just kept giving me quarters eventually my sister and i just four star way to our way to the end of the game where you bany or jimmy. I'm a lifelong me. There are only jimmy on the eighty. S yeah i think it's corrected or it was originally correct in their arcade The i have like a little kid. I had don't really fun. Time at the arcade playing with a friend through the simpsons. Game those my best brawler Experience we had happened to come in to a ten dollars in quarters or something. We got last boston. Did not beat the las boss. Still never finished the simpsons but it was so exhilarating and so illuminating to go through the first couple levels which costs you a buck fifty. Probably in the next couple levels which cost you probably four dollars and then the last boss which cost you four dollars by itself adds up in the set of funny way. It's it's you know it's those. Were designed to your quarters. At a point where people stopping go competitive with quarters and getting high scoring with pacman staff and of course the next era of arcades we all know with street fighter two competitive stuff that wet bridge of high tech brawlers like you know as corner starting with call it by the way. Yeah i actually have. I have a lot of affinity for brawlers. Who doesn't everybody loves him. But like you're you're completely right that. Although i do have an affinity for them like they're kind of garbage in like you know the bosses have invincibility frames and Just lockable moves. And just you know total screen wipes and like clearly like a super high level of skill. That stuff isn't a problem but for like everyday people like they just become impossible to the point. Where like you said. They're designed to you. Know to continue. Yeah so but that's why seeing them come. Home is so exciting. Because then they don't have that limitation that requirement on the commercial side on the on the capitalist side like they can just design a really really cool fudd brawling fighting combat system without the need for a bunch of bullshit bosses that That i can afford another quarter. That's casper crashers. I think they did a good job with it. Yup tina this announcement anything for you In the sense that i played like the early nineties. Konami think version the arcade version back in the day. So i had the same fondness that anybody else would just Having an opportunity to to play multiplayer game when that's a reality in the future at some point when you can sit down on a couch next to a friend and actually play the stuff. I'm also not a huge brawler fan. There's a level of consistency in sameness to them. After a while when you play them back to back. But i loved. River city ransom. Um so. there's definitely some affection in my heart for the genre overall.

"Know wonder places do that. I don't know but if they don't they should do it. I mean that was like some of you could check in with like after shift. Were you know this summer for free. you know. I know that was accessible and others employee. You still have to make appointments with And they can only. I mean i used employee health for a while. But you could only have like three sessions with him for free and then they'd be like okay. You need to go and see this other person. Now you've used up all used up your quote here now. You have to use your insurance to pay here right. Yeah a a lot of people use that service but it's very limited and and then you also question whether or not okay. Can i be totally open. And honest in these sessions for the most part they are. Don't wanna scare anybody but it's just something that you think about. Can you be totally open about the stressors. that's going on right with your in your jaw But that would be a great idea. I really wonder if that's available anywhere. I don't know maybe we should start a hospital and they that'll be a part of our framework. That would be amazing. I am looking forward to the day. Is health healthcare workers just kind of build their own hospital system me too. I think that's a great idea. I don't know when that'll be or if we'll see that for a while but i think that would be the ideal situation. Yeah only no one. No one can do this. I mean well they can. They can do it. I was going to be like we've coined it here for. We're gonna patent it. We don't have the funds down cove. It has decreased my funds. Ten volt out me zero. And i have so many questions.

"I love your account though. Because yeah because you're multifaceted. You're you do podcast businesswoman. And you're a nurse so you have all these different passions and you're trying to educate and help people so i follow some of people who were on i watched the bachelor and bachelorette since the very first and i've eventually bollock some of them. Because i wanna see other sides of somebody then just kind of what they feel their followers wanna see so. That's why i really like your thank you that so much and i feel like especially now with you. Know the turning point in social media becoming such a place not only to share products and stuff that using obviously but you know it's it's a place for social like civil rights movements are starting to happen and stuff on here and it's it's taxing. It's a lot of work. But i mean if you're given this platform even if it's from the bachelor like i at least i personally feel like like i need to speak up on this different things so i feel like it's my responsibility exactly and i feel like. It's just more sustainable. If you feel like you're being true to yourself as we all know social media can be pretty detrimental for our mental hall. I mean there's a lot more studies coming out on that. If you kind of feel like you're just posting what you think other people wanna post it's just gonna get really training and exhausting to the point where you're just not going to be as consistent. Yeah and i haven't been consistent. I feel like my stories. But it's it's a job definitely really frustrating. I think another frustrating point about social media. I guess definitely with with covert is. I just feel like i keep getting mad at my friends because they see them going out and like posting or how hosting these massive bible studies in their homes. Because they're tired and they want to go back to normal but it just makes me feel more isolated. I think because. I'm trying to do my part in stay home and not potentially spread of covid when all the strains and stuff that are emerging in have you seen much of that like like with your your clients or shifting friendship dynamics Yeah i and again. You're not alone on that too. Because i think more definitely more in line with the your perspective and trying to do everything you can to protect yourself and other people around you right what i have seen so i live in. Orange county california. Where a lot of in the beginning. My county was definitely criticized for not following public health guidelines. But most of the patients that i treat are in orange county and it kinda shows me at which showed in the media definitely..

Travel to Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy

"I'd like to welcome to the show, Audrey and Manlio Diamante from travels with AUDREY DOT COM and they've come to talk to us a better region of Italy you may or may not have heard of for Yuli. Venezia Giulia. Andrian manlio welcome to the show. Ain't you Chris and thank you for inviting us to be on your bucket today. Thank you Chris Thank goodness well, and we've picked a region of Italy that I couldn't have told you the name of I know where it is about. Where are we talking about? First of all, if we put this on a map Well. If we were to put it on poor looking at the most northerly and easterly region of Italy incense ranked. In the corner literally border the North would be Australia The you're on the right would be slow being young. Then we have the Adriana CCD so we're an also the region of vinet. Oh. So you're about a hundred and solid kilometers from Venice, if you were to be an Bene- some wanted to travel to live in his Julia. Along the highway that would be approximately about one hundred kilometers and. We'll get into his tryst. So that is actually, yes, that's correct Essentially up but would unit is the one that would be most typical the one that really represents reach enough. You're getting ahead of us. Before. We get there. Why are we talking about this region because I'm not going to try and say it every time we say this because you see it so much better than I do what is your connection to Fluey Valencia Julia Well. My husband is born and raised and in. So he actually also be Lionel which is a local language. I actually met my husband and he. Shot on location to Spain, and so a friend of mine asked me to stop in a visitor in Italy and when I did, I, actually met my husband for the first time in this was in ninety seven. And then he later on emigrated to Canada. Got Married. Will and why should someone go to really Well a food essential yet is one of those regions I mean most of us think that there are token room. Most. Now, there's nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, the name as a reason, I'm right. I would probably say somebody if you're traveling for the first time to Italy to do the Venice. Florence, and the Rome but for anyone who's looking for a more authentic way of appreciating Italy, then you need to go into some of the regions that are less traveled and as you as one of those, and it is really in a very good location if you really think about it because. I so much to offer from the beaches by good idol. History going back to the Roman history, the lull of our history world or one history that is worse. The front was for World War One and some of the worst battles that were ever fought or along from the car so and these own so. which my husband can talk to you more about you have the Alps and will you can go skiing in the wintertime amazing wine the quiet you're y region is world famous. Now they produce some of Italy's best white wines and the photo of course is quite unique because. Latins. A mixture of different cultures the Australian. The. Italian. So it has for a traveler they can spend easily a week and this particular region. and. Enjoy it without rushing and seeing quite a bit and is not just about lying. It's about so much more and if they wanted to add a week. Of the Australia they ads Vania or they could advantage what did I do not doin? The. Bending on how they want to program their time. Excellent will in what kind of are you gonNA recommend for us. It was one week hurry and it would be centered around the fugitive and essentially in Rio. And some of the key points to keep places that I would recommend would be, of course, the as they would be the capital and then of course. We have also the cheated on the time of she that we have sunshine yearly, which is where my husband's mother comes from. And they're famous for the BUSHEL. And then of course, we do the mountain area could pop into Saudis for example, or we could go into van Saun name and Sony in. Leitch are two towns a really represent how he only that was devastating binary choice in one, thousand, nine, hundred, seventy, six in really showcases the people themselves how suffered this major earthquake? Literally As you experience that you were there, I did yesterday what about a thousand people who died back in nineteen seventy, six cents I would say a large portion of region was actually essentially destroyed in Seoul the two towns my wife is referring to there called been solely and Jim Malone and they're very they're close to each other right next to each other one of them is a UNESCO side and that's been. So it's a UNESCO side because it maintained. The original character prior to the earthquake even though it was completely built, but it's very touching in it's very characteristic of the regional freely. So we would definitely recommend it

It's not really each trying to break now to do a bunch of crazy new stuff, just trying to be a fun open world game feels like a game that sort of plucked from twenty fourteen, and dropped into twenty twenty, but with twenty twenty lake sorta visuals graphics. Yeah. I think that's accurate. I think could talk. You had an article yesterday where? They showed the Haiku that they wrote in their game to a real Haiku writer and they were not impressed. No! Yeah I misinterpreted that system by the way because I initially thought that. If you picked one sentence, it would, it would give you like it's totally separate option to trickle down towards that effect, and I just mess it up, and I ended up creating like a random Haiku by the end of were totally did not track with the system I thought it would be, but it was still a lovely by the end of it I thought. I were uses the game engine to like show. You something really beautiful. The like you just realize like how amazing that open world as you can see like. Oh, they set the time of day. They set the light right. And then it's like this trickling stream of water, and then like the sunset, and then like relieves rustling. The trees like those are just like open world shots. They're using their that. You just chose in real time. It's amazing. That's like one of the best examples of how you kill that world can be. Yeah, so I've been playing for like two weeks. I'm still I'm still enact one. So I don't know I. It's just a really really big game where. Sam where you guys. Also still enact one. The map is huge, and it gets bigger apparently, so yeah, there's a lot of game in this game. Yet I'm and three. Out Don't the. One like really obsessed with uncovering the map so I've been doing that a lot and then I like kind of go through the main class, but been playing so much I got this thing recently, which is really frustrating, it's it's a thing that you have to. Basically chain kills with. You cannot get hit, so it's like you. Could you know kill three enemies? Enemies, and then five minutes later killed four more enemies, or whatever, and then it's changed. You get to use this ability, but that's like the one thing that if you just slight interruption from like an Arrow off screen, our dog, biting your or whatever it screws it up, and for some reason, it's like all I think about now and so I have to like. Assessing over it, and and it doesn't even give that big of a reward, but it's something that really changed the way implying recently, which is funny, also manage the game. The way of playing is i. got the kick and the kickoff. Is You just kicked? Off like this and I love that so much. Yeah that's the best Are there a total of three acts or they're more? Castle Vania. It's like you do do do do do do do and then there's the boss, and then there's the next castle castle. And an are, they asked about similar length seemed like. Yeah and they're similar area sizes to the second man when you could just the second one like I was like I'll take some time to see like. How different can they make these maps 'cause? There's the first ones really varied. There's just a lot of environments in beauty to be had just wrote across it, and it took me thirty minutes. The second hour, That's off. It's crazy. Yeah, it's really really cool just to go out and explore. Yeah I love it. It's you know I like I said even though I've been playing for two weeks. Act One, but it might end up being my favorite game of the year so far so now mind, I'm having I'm having a the conversation A. Comparing it to the last great open world game that I played which is assassin's creed Odyssey, and I'm like well I don't know. I don't know which one I. Like better right now. I think. They both have really really beautiful world. I liked how you're traveling the season going to different islands on sesame street odyssey stealth mechanics are much more involved so i. don't know we'll see how it shakes out there. Then the other game I keep comparing it to my mind is breath of the wild because I really wish ghosts of Sashimi had a hang glider.

"And I had overheard a conversation of an elderly couple and the wife was saying like I think the wife is dying and they were just talking like normal Hasn't so I went to the farmers market You know I got the numbers for a dollar. And she's great and then he straightened to you know. I never thought that you died for me is that I died. Before you mentioned it was just very nonchalant does what it is. You went from like cucumbers to death and I was like. Oh my Gosh I wish and he said but I wasn't in the conversation was eavesdropping. Like there were just hygiene. I wish we had written down our life story. I was I was too shy to say I'll do it but I was like Gosh. But there's thousands millions of people that probably wish this right like So anyway sorry again. Digress I had bought. Actually Wallace during my nonprofit masters They had US doing assignments. All my signs were pertaining to storyteller with the goal of creating this nonprofit and then at the end of beds I backed out of it. Has I mean I was like I was scared of the obligation abilities but also I started to play again and I had to be full-time to in I just like end of end. My friend who was during with me ended up moving back to Seattle so he couldn't get involved anymore. I just thought overwhelmed means though But you know everything is a learning experience through that with C. Serving Pope. I realize like okay. I can't do this then. It was also like in my wheelhouse. Tennis is my wheelhouse guy. I know all about tennis right. And the writing space since I wasn't as Miller with it so anyways that's how about sorry. The goal is to provide sustainable tennis grand. So it's like the complete program they started. Ram and similar to Judy's program cheaper by test programs for underprivileged. Kids started it in Uganda. And what was that like? What because what did things like. I'm Chaman complete mess like when you start telling the stewardess couple of welling up here civil what was about and what. What was your Gondola on that level? I had been to Africa before but I hadn't had that much. I haven't had that much close proximity to leads like in this capacity right when I meet. Maybe I'd meet up with some friends that I go off. Cheer Clean or something like that so it was. I can't say it was by Ed. Ably eye opening because as we travel Because as travel we see a lot and we see a lot of different cultures and different experiences and we see a lot of people that do not have the same circumstances as each other as you're you know like everybody. Agriculture IS DIFFERENT. When lives differently? But there are places you know. Spanish in are under privileged countries in in our country all countries. That people don't have the resources or education or they definitely don't have the opportunities to that we have and does really make you think like is it fair right like is that fair at somebody who was just as capable as I am. Justice like genetic biologically capable smart a skilled Healthy With environment may not healthy to fair that they like. I get to be here With these free sources and this happened and I get to have a house that I get booed him a car and be able to be happy. I get to be happy. They don't have that opportunity at all not like to have this house apart and they can be happy because they can't sell their basic needs a survival mode all the time and me being stressed out because my dad pushed me. That's their live all the time. Right like that's esther that they have all the time so It just it is a it is visited. Nazi that like that. I haven't seen before but at the same time it's the IT'S A. It's a reminder of every time you that go and also note that I think about even when I'm home that I don't think it's fair. You know ethically And saw it. Let's do something about it and I think that's kind of overall my beliefs about the world and do things I do like I don't think it's fair that And I think I don't think it started that we we get unequal opportunities. And I also think that it's way easier to give than to receive like you have the means to give it's way easier to receive later. I it's so much harder to be on the receiving end to waiting for other people to help you at fall need help important. I'll take it for that. I think it's it's tough like I see some people saying like while you know. Some people just need to get a job or do this or do that any. It's not just strictly in the states or it's all over the world like it's very unambiguous way. If you think of each individual person you don't know what their circumstances I like. I'm really lucky. I have a really supportive family. I know you like you can get a message out or I have friends. I have a network Have supports Raise many people. Don't have that at all no an to have an education and that it's also beneficial so there's some people that don't have any of this So I think it's callous to make about other people where they are and what they should and shouldn't be doing. Definitely it's something. I experienced a lot with Judy's foundation. Is that the the big thing strikes me when I work with people to are disadvantaged. Is that they're borderline surprised that you're showing any value in them or giving them any kind of Volkert Unity. Not Not the get my heart. The most is that they're still on a pathway or engrained that the the wouldn't have people supporting them offering those opportunities so they're probably a lot of people in the world have have the same feelings as you but the differences you've done something So massive They got for for that and especially especially being a professional athlete. Like you say the typical stereotype or perception would be that. You have to be quite selfish in driven in the end. There's a degree of trees in the driven part. But I think what you and Mrs may be me speaking. Couldn't words in your mouth. It feels like you have really used your expedient to reflect and actually have a much healthier perspective on yourself and also the world and you're beyond anything doing something which is just like well don't you will. Thanks Chris I really. I hope that hope I embody what you think doing. But I'd like as a player even I. I think there's many ways to get back on. There's also and you could be little cliche knows. Eileen cliche like you never know how your kindness helps somebody and it can be just so small that can interlocks them but as a player yes we had to be one hundred percent focused on our game though. If you like there's again there's many ways to help and time verses money is like one of the kind of fundraising. What if questions like? So if you don't have the time but you have a little bit of money to donate like you can do it that way or if you have time and the money you could do both or you have the Thai but not the money. It doesn't even have to be organizationally right. Like new ninety just being nice to someone. Try to help out it. You don't have to measure it donated to. I'm GonNa send you the SPOOK. I'm going to send you this big venue. It's it's called the five side effects of and I'm going to send you a copy so big as well because until this Guy Actually. He's actually going to be on the podcast after you. He's episode number thirty six. Oh is to talks about the benefits of being kind. But he talks about it in a scientific way. And he's an amazing man you absolutely and curious to what this guy's GonNa site because there's different theories that like for example the ethical question of are are we at the core selfish or out twist Moran ourself And even though I believe in I'm not fully sure but it. I think most people are selfish. I I would. I would put a caveat in that. Where selfish because we have to survive and says five allies like if selfishness crate survival than we are selfish right but the first Survival Round A lot of survival or the belief that this will make you survive cream selfishness so I found a lot. And I'll you also draw your own conclusions that I kind of felt in that book which I'll send you project. Think you'll find interesting scientifically. We are altruistic because it contributes to our survival definitely David's on the same wavelength As well as the survival is that reptilian part of the brain which is millions of years old. But we've got the frontal cortex is the part that differentiates US between animals. And so on and the thing that would help us is actually to to be more kinds of people and like you said even just a gesture of holding a door open a small smile. Ask Her the are all contributes and if we can get more people to pay for was Denver Bronze winner. So I'm GonNa let you go. I cannot thank you enough for your time. We have spoken. How Local Governments Can Reduce the Spread of COVID-19 in Prisons & Jails

"I'm Jim Taylor skinner. And this is the electorate on this episode. Have A conversation with Rachel. Barco Barco is the Vice Dean and a professor at New York University School of law and she joins me to discuss. How state governors can use their authority to help slow the spread of Kobe. Nineteen in prison and jail populations around the country. Many local governments have responded to the corona virus outbreak with stay at home orders or by enforcing social distancing practices but very few had a comparable response to reducing the spread of Corona virus in the incarcerated population as well as to the jail and prison staff and to their families. Rachel Barco and I discussed a recent report that was published by data for progress which provides a detailed outline for exactly how local governments can act. Now slow the spread of covert nineteen in prisons and jails so without further ado. Here's my conversation with Rachel. Barco Barco welcome to the PODCAST. Thanks for having me so I think it's become increasingly obvious that you know while the current virus outbreak is dire generally for the rest of the population that it's even more dire in the incarcerated population people who are in prisons and jails and one of the obvious reasons as to why that is is that you can't socially descends properly in prison or in jail. But what are some other factors? You're certainly right at environment in. These facilities is such that people can't distance themselves but they also don't have access to some of the key things that health officials have told us. We need to try to stop the spread so people who were incarcerated often. Don't have access to soap. They charge in many facilities for soap. And people don't have it. They don't have hand sanitizer They don't have access to easily easy access to water to even wash their hands. So you know the kind of basic hygiene practices that we think of as necessary for prevention aren't things that are accessible there And then you you add that to the fact that the population of people who are inside these facilities leans toward people with preexisting health conditions and very older people. Who are there as well so you have a particularly vulnerable population should this spread within the facility? they're more likely to get serious cases in death as a result right. That's another factor that I hadn't actually considered that. The percentage of older people in the prison population is. It's actually grown quite a bit in the past decade or decade and a half. I think there's something like a tough percent of people who are over aged fifty five exactly and many even much older than fifty five past sixty past seventy. The populations that were were most concerned about. Yeah and and also they aged faster. I think just generally medical professionals tell us that people who are in car serrated kind of a person who is chronologically aged forty five is really more like a fifty five year old based on just the harsh conditions of living inside prisons. One of the things we aren't really talking about are the peripheral people who are involved with the population right like the prison guards or even the doctors and therapists that come in and out of prison then of course the families who are also kind of a risk. Yeah and if you look at New York which is where I'm located right now. There are almost nine hundred employees of the corrections department who are infected with Kovic. Nineteen so staff. The people who work in these facilities are the. It's not as if the virus is going to distinguish between the people who are there because they were convicted of a crime and the people who work there. It's going to spread to everybody and when we're talking about people who work there getting it they in turn we're gonNA take it outside. The prison walls back to their homes back into their communities. And so it's GonNa be a source of spread to the community at large when we're talking about it's spreading within these facilities and in addition to that thinking about the people within prison facilities who work specifically on medical issues the medical staff. You know these are not large numbers of people who do that and so if you get high rates of infection among the staff who are designated to treat people with inside these facilities. You're really looking at a looming crisis. Because if they get sick you know there aren't people to replace them. And now we don't have people to take care of the people inside who get this and you can just see how it very critically conspire onto a crisis. President NGO population. I don't think that they're being counted in the current projections for infections and deaths right And those projections are kind of scary already. Yes I've seen a couple projections. I believe it's the. Aclu has tried to do one to figure out if we did bring into the projections. What is happening now in prisons in jails in what it looks like going forward you know we we see exponential growth in terms of the number of people dying in infected when we factor that in. Because I don't think the existing models are properly accounting for how much more rapidly the spread of this virus would be inside prison facilities. You know it would be as if we had an unaccounted for. Really large proportion of people on cruise ships and because it spreads so much more rapidly in an environment like that. If your model wasn't accounting for that you would be under counting and I think that is the problem with most of the existing models that are out there is. They're not accounting for the much more rapid spread inside prison in jail right. So so what? We've seen generally in relation to the responses response. That kind of been working and I live in one of the states that that's had a really good response. I live in Washington. State where governor Jay Inslee is in charge. We've seen responses on the local level to the outbreak specifically on gubernatorial level. Like I said Jay Inslee. You know governor Cuomo Gretchen. Whitmer you know all democratic governors. I should run out but have any of them responded in a significant way to prevent the spread in prison and jail populations no and it's really disappointing. You know. I think that this isn't one of these left right. Republican Democratic Issues Savelly. It's it's basically both failing to address what's going on. You know there are. There are at most playing. You know at at at at best what we've seen them do is maybe some small numbers of releases but nothing that is commensurate with the problem in the risk. You know so here in New York. Governor Cuomo has done nothing to address the fact that we now have more than a thousand people who have covert nineteen inside our correctional facilities staff and people incarcerated both and he hasn't released anybody you know it's just I. I'm not sure what accounts for it. But it's an enormous blind spot and and it's true You know across the states you know. I should say there are some governors who have done some things and you know some of it may may surprise people that you know for example Oklahoma. The governor there has has granted a fair number of commutations letting people out earlier from their sentence in light of what's happening and you know that's a Republican Governor. And you know we've seen a few others who are trying to make an effort to have at least said that they would have releases places like. Vania a New Jersey but unfortunately the announcements that they made haven't yet been followed by actual releases that match what they promised. So what we see when we look around. The country is essentially really small numbers of people being released from these facilities and so in what ends up happening is they're crowded and the fire starts to spread and it starts to spread to the staff and it goes into the communities and so it's really the situation that we would hope that we'd have governors getting ahead of it but there are efforts thus far have been really disappointing is the nicest way. I could put it sure and you said that you know. This isn't partisan or shouldn't be partisan but of course in this climate everything. Everything's partisan just about right so we can talk about that later. So one of the solution that's being proposed as just what you hinted at is clemency or early releases. So how would that work exactly? Well there's a couple options for governors so a commutation would be a sentence reduction that's permanent basically saying look we know we gave you ten years but the is the Governor Im- going to say The eight years you've currently served as enough and released. You're done the other option that a governor has and sometimes with commutations. Governor could just do that with the stroke of a pen and other times. They need to go through a board or some kind of process so so. That's actually a mixed set of options for governors in

"Was a one surprise released this morning. Castle Vania symphony of the night is out right now for IOS and android devices for two ninety nine and features. Full control. Support. This sort of isn't the first. Time Castle. Vania symphony of the night has been on mobile in two thousand ten there was an IOS puzzle. Game called Castle venue puzzle encore of the night. That was a retelling of the classic playstation game but it featured match three puzzle mechanics. It was a weird game but I liked it and looking at up today I learned. It is no longer compatible with modern IOS. Which is a bummer. But Hey I don't mind settling for arguably the best Castleblaney game ever made. Just make sure you're playing with a Bluetooth Controller and not using the onscreen Virtual Buttons d Pad. Which is just always the worst.

"Pete took Victoria F on a one on one date to a surprise chase. Rice concert turns out Victoria. F Dated Chase Rice before four. Coming on yes I mean our guy chase is like Charles Woodson back in the day like you know two thirds of the world's covered by water one-third by Charles Els Woodson Chase Rice is dated two-thirds a world so I'm two-thirds of the world's covered by water the other third is by chases ropes. Yes let's keep it classy. He's a lover his season. He no he is his vocal inflections. Yes is come. He's just a good dude. P Then took the woman on a group date to the Cleveland Browns stadium where there was traumatic place on pickers house. They played a game of tackle football coach by Josh cribs and Hanford Dixon. Also also I guess on the show when Chris was saying like all right. We're going to Cleveland and usually that's where all the girls like. It was just like everyone who's just blank face. WE'RE GOING TO CLEVELAND. And they're all just like oh I love when they do that. So that's an old real world trick when they were like and your trip is Argentina. And then when you're going to Yugoslavia of Lia ship and then Eliah whoever you guys remember got sent over love you assault was your map from nineteen eighty seven. It was not Yugoslav anymore shows now respect Croatia Vania. I actually did that on purpose so that I wasn't offending occurrence country. Okay didn't want to get cancelled. Elias shows back up and ask him out of fashion that lived in Yugoslavia. You guys are missing. The most part Alaya showed up. She got home last week so she's not on. The show actually had death squads that that executed people that were fighting against Nazis. So this is kind of a pattern for you in today's episode absorb get Alaya. Who got sent home last week? Shows back up and ask Peter to let her come back in and he did The other girls. That are pissed at Pete Heat and some threatened to leave so is this an empty threat or they actually goal-bound. I don't know this is like a union situation. The the rest are unionizing. Potentially that's that's what it sounds like. Well I mean the whole show is about roses so they're probably LDS say true. I don't get that joke but I I get I bet you it was a good one. Yeah you've probably really noticing roses on twitter. The twitter now. You actually haven't God that's it. Okay great I mean. 'Jedi: Fallen Order' Shows That a Good Star Wars Game Doesn't Have to Be Original

"Talk about what might be my favorite game of the whole year star Star Wars Jedi fallen. I haven't walked back. He came in two three days ago and so game of the year hasn't finished it so he says journalist so I played it for about a week now and who ooh I love it David. Lexus Game Tomb Raider. It is a lot like tomb. Raider little uncharted and then apparently a little dark souls. But I wouldn't know. Oh will you like Neil and save at points so yes that's right yeah so it is very tomb raider but but I think it controls like more like an action game which looks kind of goofy over the shoulder and you're watching somebody play still bouncing around like an idiot but it makes sense for doing that but I also downs around like and and it's also because the only time you've watched well watched other people. Maybe yeah well mainly combat the Jevon driven around like an idiot probably okay Salmon Tina. You're both playing just. Nasim played it yet to hear how RPG like it is uh-huh this say it's very RPG. Excited I don't mean to derail I had heard was that has a really big really involved skill tree which I didn't know it has the skill tree that pretty much every game released. Okay this Asan's creed got it it's less RPG as isis greenhouse so it's like everything is RPG like in some way so it falls on the RPG scale somewhere. Yeah these are the distinctions. We need to make before twenty question. No that's one of the greatest things about it has all of these like little elements five different games and different genres and kind of come together in a cohesive way so excited it should decorate. Yeah we're actually recording this before a review goes up Dan Is Handling Review. I I don't know what's so I don't know what score is GonNa come down on but I know he's very very high on he's bullish on one thing I like about The the combat so far has been frustrating. Although I know you solve it when we were the three demo and you've got through a bunch of the stuff but right now it's like I'll have a group of enemies around me and it's actually like tough enough that I'm dying a lot. And I've had moments in Batman Arkham asylum. It like that but what I like about it is that while I'm doing that you are constantly deflecting shots being shot at you from faraway really really fun and I know so. It's because like the lasers are slower than bullets which is like the stupidest thing like me a human see the blazers. It's coming at me. I feel like really cool like doing it. But if that was really how lasers work that I could probably do that. They just slowing it down the human you but the jet I you in the game actually sees it much whole games running et exactly the just showing you what a Great Lakes game design challenge feel like lasers but be slow to deflect all the other game design challenge too. Is You have a lightsaber. That should be able to push through most anything but there's like really big pots into but other ones. Okay no the really big ones. You can't do all you can't through any walls and the game either Tori really great. Yeah you're always on the other side of like three like metal bars looking through it's like you and it has actually for sure they have you looking indication later you'll be able able to get through here like Metro and you know just melt bars you got but you are in Jeddah temple so maybe it's Anti Jetta made made from some metal. What's the DELOREAN's metal armor made out of? I don't know I just watched a whole episode about it. I can't tell you I love hearing how metro-wide Vania e it is or Metro chime specific measure prime which which the developers were up front about that multiple planets that are way more intricate. And you you know. Non Linear and and sort of loopy pathways than kind of expected that so an expected and cousteau metro prime was famous for this Big Three d map that you kind of see really needed needed to go or you haven't had been yet and it's really good and it was like feels like super futuristic and stuff this game has that Matt but I don't know if I'm like like if it's just like because it's less boxy unlike more organic. It's so hard to use for me right now but you say you wrap your mind. Map has a learning curve that was it was confusing at first. But now I'm used to it and I can I know. Ah If there's something on the map that I want to get to. I can usually get to it and you can. I love how the robot a BBDO sorry droid projects in math in real time. It's like in dead space when you have like your health package just like lights on your armor and there's a lot of stuff in this game really doing the work early beating the flashlight. That's true and that's also he's also your health bar on your back yes. It's so like dead space magnate and also a tip since beatty one is projecting your map in real time. It doesn't pause the game you can. It'll be a ten. Oh yeah the hard way giant rats around. Yeah don't look run for your life is i. Don't want any stories. Spoiler the rats kill you is your killer viciously. It's a big threat to a jet here right now is that are you. Is your character cool. I think so. He's likeable and it's not like super every other characters better. I mean he's just like he's like a pretty vanilla hero but it doesn't bother me. I will say this there are some really funny moments. I forget what it was. What was one of the early comments? Oh because he's a yeah exactly like they're like no trashes allowed here something and he makes a joke about how he's actually trash. So there's like these little funny cute goofy moments that he just didn't make him more likable. That's another thing that I've heard just around the office is that You know that doesn't come through in the trailers just seems like incredibly generic and I've heard this game has better writing in dialogue expected surprising to me and this is not a spoiler. He's just really young. So it's like all the characters that are interesting around him are adults and he just doesn't know a lot and doesn't do a lot because he's like a teenager so I think they they don't. They didn't do a good job of sabotaging that outside the game. Now that I'm in the game like oh he's just like his whole he's just a kid. Yeah I've come to a decision I'm GONNA play it that's good. I think you're going to be happy with their. I've been joking on scoop for weeks about how I don't play anything but that's just you know I wasn't interested in call of duty and wasn't interested. Trust in-depth stranding. So this is this is the one this is the woman.

"You can't talk about the goose game yet right. Oh when does this go up tomorrow. tomorrow okay yeah use game. Did you beat it yard. Ty WHO's game of the year come on just be just be gop why they're clearly entitled game of the year what you're going to confuse everybody buddy hoping here about Borland's three and now you're about untitled goose games and it's it's pretty much the only medal your solid game. I've ever played. They explain you don't you don't put a radio to sprinkle it or break it that way. You can sneak past the guy. It's a it's a metal. Is it a stealth. What is it called Stealth Espionage Action Stealth espionage. It's it's their boxes the problem to solve things so speaking of the radio. There's like this radio. You have to sneak past the Gardner Guy Right at the beginning of the game and I it's sitting on so when you pick it up it makes like music and he goes out of con- costs for that and he gets you right yeah and then and then so what I did was he puts it on top of a cooler antidrug the cooler all the way to where it needs to go and Thomas. Okay okay listen. I watched this and it was funny when it happened but this is a boring story wrap it up no no. I didn't really quite often to wait for people to hear this but this amazing off but the radio and Birket I'm just saying there's multiple ways solve this game. Is it game Goosey goosing game. Are you kidding me. Something see something. I'm excited for the sequel uncensored goose game. Yeah Yeah every time he hong to goose to honk for TV is this is it level base. What are you doing things is where it's like. Hey do all this stuff and something you 'cause. We'll open up a new area so you have him his thumb and he like falls from the hammer yeah yeah he goes like hit his his telling the boring story. I'm just jokin those are great before I one acknowledged to honk for. TV was a really good job at Damon. Thank you thank you and mark your story. Was it was okay. We'll so it's like dark. It was a six point. Oh it's like dark souls you do stop dumpling and then it opens up a new area and then it's like a Metro Vania dark souls metal gear salt lead. This Games got law headline goose game of the year druce like all of these other teams. It's entirely not like winter game. Yeah exactly AH that's from two thousand and eleven so we don't talk about borderlands now all right. Let's use game like borderlands three now. There's no blue unless yes you can a sandwich. There's yeah total luke because you drag everything back to the picnic. It's true yeah but you don't have any inventory space. Just like in borderlands game of the year also like so is on Telugu out tomorrow tomorrow. It's the twentieth tomorrow so toward the daily. You're listening to this. It's out it's out and it only takes an hour and a half to be over short. You can beat it almost forty times this weekend. Please should have been longer or is that the right amount of time to be. It's like me when you beat the game. They're still like stuff you you can do but you've ruled. The credits just like control weakness talk about okay. Okay wait to your borderlands point. Yes the inventory sucks. I assume that you can level up from there. You can increase your Marcus's munitions perfect pretty early inventory because you could do that in one and two and whatnot a lot of the systems feel pretty antiquated in a Lotta ways like everybody keeps saying it's just borderlands again and we've been playing more than any of us I think so. I think I'm agreeing with you. You're saying that it's it's a little a bit better. I think it's like lance too but I think it's better in every single way and that makes it better every single way every funnier. Maybe the writing an the map is broken as say broken. Well I just I. It's difficult to see what levels are unlike a different. Oh I thought they did a a better job at that. Because now you can rotate the map yeah I think I think you mean like when you when he said away point. It's really hard to find out where that actually which unlike which Alex should be taken if the if it splits off and your waypoints here and you're like oh I'm going to it and you're like Oh and yet open your mapping. I also the way back around can can we just say if you're playing with another player. The driver should not also be the navigator because you have to stop driving. pull up your mouth figure out which direction you need to stop the car before before yes. This is the person who's in the back on the governor should be the one to look at the matter author map and look at the map all the way you should do exactly yeah if needed. I totally the baggage around this and she she could see my TV and I would just opened my map and I'm like look and she could just see her through the screen cheating totally. That's the whole point. Is that what it was. It's called an in a perfect arc when you're looking at my screwing banking. Look there's a whole gamut of this game called screen cheat or something like that. Where you don't don't see the other person on the map shooter you don't see the other person so you have to screen peak to see where they are to be able to shoot them. Mario Kart Saddle node cheat or do you not it's. It's so that you can see you can line up a shot. What would somebody driving screen so you do. Do Eh for some people it's part of the experience for some people to be back. There is like these elaborate cardboard setups done off the the television like Oh. I've done that like playing halo like putting up the blanket and like one of your friends is under the blankets. That's great what's up with the pets in borderlands. One class has a pet flack nets the class that I chose with because I heard it was good for solo players playing by myself and yet you can sit out. The pets too technical for you and the first pet is a dog. Yeah modest has come a monster dog. It's a scam. You know what's really sad though I think they changed. The deaths down sounds for the skaggs. The sound really really sad yeah exactly. It sounds like a dog river. Your your pet is whatever you pick so you pick the dog. I didn't know how to choice. Let's guilty characters. You can pick what skill you get one point right at the start on the fly to so you picked that what's his name meet meet it she older. I forget his name now. That's the Jabber boy anyways. You could change it on the fly. What's what are the what are the other options as Iraq took a spider and yeah and then there's Iraq grew hanged dinosaur Mosser things. I think I'll stick with the dog was I. There's the flying. It's like a pterodactyl thin. The rack sounds good. Thank you very active but one of them is like a little like Jabber guy and he has a gun jabber and the more Islam inspire not the spider is like a little looks like this Guy Jabber. What do you mean Jabber. Keep saying. This aren't thinking isn't that in anyway. He has a gun and then you can make where he has a shotgun so he's a little pet walks around the shotgun. That's awesome. It's awesome. I'm playing playing as Mara. I don't really like her. She's fine. I'm playing MOS-. She has a robot. Yay Mas is I think the MOS flag actually the community favorites from what I've seen. I've seen the search volume to back that up. It's ask it. It's fun. I'm having a good time but it does feel very samey like it's. It's a little bit like they. They spent seven years. I guess they didn't spend the entire seven years but it's been seventy years. Berlin to if you had told me this was a new expansion for Borland's Orleans to I would have believed you gear gearbox made preschool right yeah so said Eddie. You knew it'd be however many years since I think it's a different team Eamon Australia that made sure if it was like spin offer from another team or not yeah it was. It's their fallen Vegas. It's fun other Games. They're able to reinvent themselves. Listen in new in new sequels in in additions but this just feels like more Portland switch. It's fun yeah. I enjoy it. I love the guns and I love that. I feel like every time I go back to sanctuary to like do all my inventory management. I feel like I'm going back out of the world as a slightly different character. You're always leveling up. You're always getting getting better guns. I've a shotgun right now. Every time I shoot them it just blows them away it so far like the blows them away literally blow them away and then when you reload it becomes a grenade than's flashes and says shoot me as it's going to and then you get another one in the shoot it. It's awesome cool like that. It's it's really fun. I like it a uh-huh Fisher

"Yeah. What do you call? It a castle Vania. Oh, man. Thank you listener who yelled at at their car while they're driving. That is. I can't get it right now, it it is the game that I thought I could play in front of my kids. I'm choosing not to accept forgot is an its pixel art sixteen or whatever daddy is that wouldn't is inside of me. Jeez. I were too low resit. Yes. It is sweetie thing asking. Unle a new conversation has to happen. Yeah. If you were to look like this and look down do the loss of blood. It probably would look something like this. But it is fascinating. And I think from as Christian delves into his past because he's getting older stage of my gaming life. But also, I don't have mortal combat eleven yet, basically is what this was. It's interesting to see kind of this game and kind of the how castle Vania evolved into the GB games that everybody loved I believe that bloodlines is the first game with that composer in you can feel that in it. And how it scored in the audio? And then I think it's interesting to see how the kind of dial back some of the gore like there's like a fountain that I'm pretty sure is like just blood spurting everywhere. So I highly recommend it. I as a guide as mid thirties. I still find it very difficult. I found it very difficult as a kid in his, you know, young tweet tweens as well. So I kind of changed the rules on how I'm playing it now 'cause I do want to see it through the end because the level design here the last castle is pretty incredible. And so the the the hype of that coming back there are much cheaper way for people to play it now than the way I'm playing it. So if you're interested, I think it's easy. Hopefully, the relation is good. But I think that makes the conomic kessel Vania collection a must pick up as well as the mini Genesis whenever it comes out. If. If the relation is good because it is a fascinating game that I think a lot of castle Vania fans have likely looked over because of when it came out and being the only castle Vania on the Genesis, but I'm really digging it this is becoming so consistent every week. We're going to have to get a Christians retro game of the week jangle. I mean that will only help may convince my wife that Anita keep buying more rhetoric. I am I am if I'm only here to convince your wife to spend money, that's my only function. So that kids book if you give Christian jingle he'll need to go with it. I think. Christian a jingle mouse gets a cookie moves gets a Muffin jingle. Great next next week. You're going to get listeners chiming in. I have to admit I have nothing on my playlist. I have been playing an early copy of days gone. But I am not allowed to tell you about that. So I can't tune in next week for that that also been extremely busy this week and last week and every time in between prepping, a new show, a dungeons and dragons show, we're gonna talk in table tabletop, Tim about that. But it is taken up a ton of time. Is it an SAP to game or S P one like which one? Is an flied. Live play dungeons and dragons game called dungeon run. I am the DM and it will premiere this Wednesday night at six PM Pacific time on the caffeine network. A caffeine dot TV slash the dungeon run. So I'm gonna plug that here. We'll talk about a we'll talk more about that in tabletop time..

"Okay came up, but the floral of metro Vania is metro likes. I don't think I don't think that's correct. That doesn't seem right now. We're just in Kevin how far was Damon's desk from here. I don't know. I just waited till the end I was waiting for the nice segue g goes meters or feet. Oh, that's that's interesting. It depends on what it is. It interesting. It is it's less interesting and more like if we're using our still off year. So that's fair. I square footage when I'm talking about distance. That's a home or property or something like that. Then, but is in meters metric stuff for like when you're talking long distances or if you're driving that really? Yeah. Okay. Yes. Okay. Back this week in gaming history. Got three was that. "Powers as you progress in metro Vania retracing steps, but the precision it requires an it's platforming is less than Celeste. But more than what is typically found in a metro Vania type game. I know some of the council Vania games had some pretty brutal platforming segments where like the tiniest little parapet or whatever as an acts in a bat are coming out. You have to floss between. In. But generally like super metro isn't super punishing. It's platforming. This requires some pretty cool and dexterous finger work of like dashing through the warned than double jumping. And then using your power things like a rooster punch as your your uppercut to kind of jump lateral through something while you're still in the air. You're double jump do your super to get up to allege and fun platforming mechanics like that. But then also really fun and interesting boss fights that I've heard of all of well throughout the game the way the first game did as it's constantly giving you powers and just a stunning and gorgeous game the art in the first game wasn't credible. And I don't know. I haven't played the first game it awhile. So maybe it's exactly the same. It's been years since I've played it. But as I'm playing guacamole too. I feel like they upped the ante in. It's just just gorgeous amount of colors the game uses and the way things are exploding in reacting is. Josh dropping but never in a way that is distracting. I love super smash brothers. But when you're playing for player smash most of the time, I'll be going where am I aware Accra where am I? Oh, where am I because I be so distracting and Guatemala really walked that line and the hours I put in and has played great on switch haven't noticed any performance problems or anything like that? So if you're on the fence about it heaven forbid, you're looking for something to play 'cause there aren't enough games. Guacamole too is an easy easy recommend. Megan. Did you ever play the first or did you play this when it came out on consoles earlier in the year? I did play a little bit of the first game. And I really enjoyed it. I thought it was unique and find I haven't played the sequel though. So now, I will. Yeah. It's really well done and super easy to recommend if you'd like the if you like the first it complements it well in its so tongue in cheek. It's it pokes fun at self at pokes fun at don't wanna spoil it pokes. When some other game. And other John RAs. Yeah. It's it's a it's a really well made game. I've liked all of those things drink box -tudios. That's they're clever clever studio that put out a quality product so easy to recommend. And then the other reason I picked up my Horry Deepak that I'll give slight product review two thumbs up is ninja guide and the any s version was coming out on the came out on the twelfth on than intendo online service. And I wanted to play that game. 'cause I love that game. It's still so expletive hard. Jeff, outer know, if you ever beat it. I know I never did. But my light gamer friend that live down the street from me did and that was always the game. He would come. I can beat it for if you want. No, terry. We don't want you to account. It's not that hard. You've gotta learn the Kambas don't jump here. Anyway, probably never beat it. But I love it. I have such fond memories of that game. The bad news for me is as I think, you're my Terry. Then I never be. Yeah. It's I think it's probably harder now because you're old probably. Yeah. But the deep had worms grade on it. I'll tell you that. And I like save states some slowly were basically after I clear screen without dying. I say I'm saves coming my way through ninja gate and. As you should. That's great good times, man. Well, on my playlist, I played a game that I have been an -ticipant for many years now, and that is below which find the came out from capi games playing on Xbox One. "There is something that we don't see in Benson Vania. And I mean, maybe you could find something similar somewhere in the US. But not that I have ever heard of so nice anyway number today. Lakes lakes and. Of course, just creation general because it is my favorite country. I it's just I guess the standing spot has a standing spot on my wishlist. All right. So there it is. And we are heading to Croatia in may end of April beginning of may. And I put together a rough itinerary again, not committing to anything. But we only have twelve days in my parents want to go over to Sarajevo and see my buddy, Nick. Which is going to be awesome as well. So it's be A bit a of bit of. fast trip. Yeah. Put vici lecture on their bonus. We're flying in his autograph. And we've never seen the city of Zagreb. I am excited for that too. Yeah. So just Croatia as a whole really cool. My number six is Owen. And this prize kind goes, I think this is on your list last year, it was either on last year or the year before and we didn't go back and check the list because I didn't want anything to sway my opinion. Again. It was like what's on my mind right now. Okay. Let me spend like forty five minutes rearranging, the numbering 's and all that kind of stuff, but Oman stays on my list, if it was on last year comes back if it was two years ago because I really wanna hit the Middle East as an area on area as you mentioned when you talk about Cyprus out that we haven't gotten to spend much time, and I've been to Israel. That was the only time I even was in that general region other than Turkey. I know, and I kind of wanted to put Israel on my list because I've never been there, and you talk so highly. But I did if we go to on maybe we pop whatever, but I really wanna hit an explore the Middle East thought, I really really want to go to Eireann. But I know that that would probably be a no go with you. So I'm like compromising here and musket supposed to be fantastic. City. We have friends named CARA. Who were no Mon my buddy, Nick has been Oman and loves musket. So for me, this was all right? Where can I go in the Middle East that centrally located that's going to give me an experience not that all Middle Eastern countries. Same certainly not..

"They did it close addresses to a pistol Vania address that has me wonder wonder if has been close to Jack the whole time he met, Rebecca. And they started their family time will tell who knows. Oh, ooh. What if we get some flashback scenes and his Jack and Niki like after the war? You know, like them be enough for a beer, we see in like how he really decided he was dead on or some there's more way to that would have happened in Jack wouldn't have dragged him by the ear his kids. I use what jets in refuse all of this. What if he said, I just came to tell you have a nephew. And he was like is it a nigger? And. Why not? That's the only way. Right. Like it had to be something like that for us to be like. Well, damn. Yeah. Of course, he's dead talk like other than that. It just feels like Jackson good of a person not to. I don't know. All right. I'm worried they might do. Nikki and Kevin like they did Randall at William bring them back in each other's lives and them take the right away from take them right away from them. My soul is not ready for that. Again. I don't even know about lightning to be for real which. I liked the William from day one. I don't think I like Mickey enough to be like, oh, he can finally go to thanksgiving with peers on my stay in that trailer park. So K back to being trashed I see she couldn't keep that once year secret for test. Cancel LL. I seriously feel some type of way about that little girl being forced to come out of closet because the case trash as not keeping that secret and tell him Rebecca Rebecca put the pressure on that baby girl to come out to her parents pissing me off should she should come out when she is ready to if bell like she was pressured to come out to Randall on best shake my damn head. Fuck you for that? Kate. I don't agree. Try. Add on that at all. Yeah. I didn't see it that way. And I think I think it's important for now. Look, maybe Rebecca shouldn't necessarily try to bring it up like the way she did which was to me more cute than it was dangerous. But still I can understand that point being like, you know, Rebecca could just know without no without telling her she knows. But I think it's imperative for some dough in her life, especially after she did tell Kate to be like, hey, I'm a person that knows if this thing you need to talk about there's some issue can't give to your parents with and you need to go to somebody. That's an adult. I am that person for you. I don't think and I and I live up the street. So it's not like calling Kate who's of fucking across the country and pregnant to come and deal with this yet. I did not find that to be so offensive. You know? I don't either. And also like the way she quote, unquote, pressured to come out wasn't you need to tell your parents as more like, you know, if you want to you have the kind of parents like in your head, you might think you don't. But I'm telling you do have the kind of parents that will understand right? So I don't know didn't bother me. But of course, I'm not I'm not gay. So I don't know somebody might write in and be like this. The worst thing you can do..

"Not knocked it out of the park net game is massive in. If it were not for red dead. It would truly be contended for my favorite game of the year. And didn't they just add like a new like armor decorations system? Of course, they add glamour system. That's ridiculous. I'm already done with it. Like, that's I mean, it's a it's a cool feature to add maybe. Yeah. A little late after launch. But still very cool that they're continuing to support the game. Joe? How about you? What surprised you lately? Well, Robbie took my answer because I was actually not expecting to like out all that much. And I did. So I'm gonna have to go ahead and say delta ruin it didn't surprise me. And that I liked it. It's the prize me. And that it exists came out. That's fair that was there that was very. Surprising. I think for me. My most surprising game purchase recently has been WWE to K nineteen I plugged way, more hours into that game than I thought because I'm bought it kind of as a as a joke as a goof, right? Like I hadn't played a WWE game since Roz war on the end, sixty four. So it's been it's been a while. And I loved it. Right. Like you've got to make your own that was like the first generation where you've got to make your own. I love that aspect of it on fact, by the way, the reason you can make your on restaurants. That's the reason I got a memory card for my end, sixty four me memory. Memory. Absolutely. And then, you know, so like here comes WWE two k nineteen and I'm sort of expecting like, okay. There's going to be a character creator. No varies the most involved ridiculous. Character creator that I've ever experienced in any video game ever. And it's for wrestling. It's absurd. It is absurd. But it's absurd in the in the best possible way. So I have to commend it for that. You're listening to checkpoint X XP E sports and gaming radio. I think everyone listening on affiliate station one on one sports in Saint Louis and W. Okay. Are in Rochester, New York. We're currently talking about our social media question this week. What was the game that most surprised you? And we got a ton of responses like this one from Orlando that said dead space too when I saw the ship from the first game again. I was like oh crap. Yeah. Pretty much from Bill says hollow night. I only heard about it in negative tone such as yeah, it's good. But it's not the. Best my friend, who I trust in almost everything. Video game said no it probably is the best metro Vania game ever, full stop. I was shocked picked it up on the switch, and I have to say once I got it. Got it going in the game opened up. I loved it. The good and the bad - Democratic midterm results

"We started talking about wave of women nudity elected. Oh, I think it's a huge shift. And I think we'll see it it won't just be the year of the woman. I think the seeds of the decade the women were planted because not only did we elect women in a different kind of woman at the top. But we feel the pipeline with tons of women in state legislative races and county commission races and Agee's people that are running for Senate and president and governor for eight years from now we'll have won their first election last Tuesday. But what's so interesting? I think listening in we've had guests from based parties and also with different positions here on this show. It's not entirely clear who's supposed to be happy with the result. And who's supposed to be a bit disappointed. Yes. Particularly jealous. Help me out here. Well, I think the fat is hassle and having MJ for everyone. I mean, we accomplished our biggest goal which was to take that house and the singularly most important thing we also elected a number of governors, including in the three states that account for Donald Trump being president, Michigan Wisconsin, I'm his Vania. We laugh at eight by eight thousand votes, Donald Trump would not be president. If we had won those states, we elected democratic governors in all three of done democratic governors. Do you make a difference? So I think we accomplished that we also elected a record number of women and mobilized a female base. That's sad. Donald Trump lean in a way that no one else has ever done that we've ever seen in any midterm election democrat or Republican he mobilized the Trump voters, not just Republicans Trump voters. He worked hard to define the race. And did it for. Space. Not so successfully for swing voters, but he proved how formidable he is and how formidable he will be in twenty twenty. I it sounds like you gave him sort of more credit for thinking things through. Then a lot of this was sympathetic to the Democratic Party. Would I be right? Well, I think he's a brilliant strategist he understands its brand. And he understands how to create his reality show, and he understand and he's willing to play a very high risk Dacians role in that reality shows. So I think he's quite formidable letting his team has fight formative on would be very foolish to underestimate him. Because that's a great way for him to get reelected in twenty twenty that love to know, what it is that you think the democratic policy has to learn from these midterms unpack from the fact that Blue Wave became a-, depending on whether you're at Optima sto Oles so preps a series of blue splashes. I think the Blue Wave was more of a blue swell. And but I think it had that makings from the beginning. I think a lot of the press accounts were overstated that's sad. I think there are two things that we learned and saw more than learn in twenty teens one is we mobilize our base. They mobilized their this is the first time in a midterm election where both bases were mobilized. Secondly, the Democrats must get an economic message. Either the election we lost salary. The people who thought the economy was in good shape. And we were fifteen points behind the Republicans on the Konami we could make it through twenty eighteen like that. We will not win twenty twenty like that. The Democrats must get an economic news.
