"Up to this point. The only thing that's really been determined so far today is that Ah Washington has moved all the way up to the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, so they win one playing game against the Celtics and Russell Westbrook and Bradley Bill will be in the postseason. Warriors leading the Grizzlies right now, 63 56. That's a similar game to that. Wizards Charlotte game from earlier today. Wizards beat Charlotte. They are. They were the 89 seeds. Washington flips the script there Now the HR little be the nine. So we're waiting to see similar in the Western Conference warriors leading the Grizzlies Warriors. They win that they'll be the The eight and they'll play presumably the Lakers. It looks like The way things are going to shape up tonight after all these games. Is it? It'll be the Lakers having a play a play in game at least one playing game to get into the NBA postseason. Who knew heading into the season? The defending champs would be fighting for their playoff lives. I think they'll be okay. But boy that zoo risky business man It's risky business. Um, pretty cool yesterday to the Hall of Fame class went in. My calendar is just so messed up with covert and everything is this. Usually when this does this usually happen in the middle of May I I lose track. I know. Like September is before when we would see the Hall of Fame class Go in. The calendar get so jumbled around, especially basketball. But it was really cool yesterday and boy what a star studded class man Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant in the same class. And for me here being in Houston locally, seeing really time Jonathan to go in. One long overdue to his speech at me, very emotional because it brought me back to a time in place where the Rockets were winning championships, as opposed to 2021 where they have the worst record in basketball, So it was a good trip down memory lane for me. Um, let me just say this And then, um And then we'll hit the phones eight by 5 to 1 to four, CBS Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant's widow. I don't know how she made it through that whole speech. And state is composed that she did. It was incredible. It was a really good speech. Just obviously just a completely Thought provoking perspective that she came from in terms of how do you do that? Like you Never think you're gonna you never put yourself in a spot where you think you're gonna have to do anything on behalf of your spouse? When you're in your early forties, because you especially somebody is Bulletproof is Kobe Bryant always was that you just don't think about him not being here, and it's been over a year now. And I don't know that your mind ever goes to place, one of them enough to do Kobe's Hall of Fame speech for him, right? Like she had, obviously, never let her mind go there, and she didn't amazing job. I mean, just a a textbook job of executing a situation that you hope you never have to watch anybody ever execute ever ever again. You hope that every hall of Famer that goes in you get to see them in their own words. Talk about who they're thankful towards what moments were meaningful for them. She was incredible. And the fact that I mean I'm sitting here watching and I'm tearing up watching it on a computer multiple times during those 13 minutes, and she was a rock man. There were a few times you could tell it was getting Close. I mean, she's probably emotional the whole time, but her ability to keep it together. If you haven't seen that speech, yet, I would really encourage you to go find it. It's it's excellent. And Yeah, well, good. We've got a clip of that. Okay, so Yeah. Let's my man James has a clip here, right? So we've got a clip off Vanessa Bryant speech. On her late husband, Kobe going into the Hall of Fame yesterday. Congratulations, baby..

"A cup of coffee. I'm in phenomenal shape. The kitchen is four and a half feet away from the studio door. And i'm about to have a heart attack and our number two here another two hours to eleven o'clock leo laporte. Let's get right to it. The story i'm going to share with you. This is handle on the law. Marginal legal advice where i tell you who you have absolutely no case. The second lawsuit has been filed over the kobe. Brian helicopter crash photos. And i if remember. There was an incident in which sheriff's sheriff's deputies showed up not the investigative team. They just showed up. Because whenever you have something like this especially a high profile accident death the place's inundated with the police and so there's an investigative team that is sent out and the other cops basically guard. If you will the site well couple of those deputies. Were actually snapping photos of the of the scene of the accident scene. I'm talking about bodies body parts. Burnt debris burnt people. And this is kobe bryant so and his daughter and several other people in the helicopter. And it's It's it was tough. And then they shared those photos. I don't think it went on the internet. But i think they share those one guy went to a bar and showed the pictures and it was obviously a very distressing time for the family members. So vanessa bryant kobe's wife filed a lawsuit against the sheriff's department and the county of l. a. Not to get money but to truly nail these guys although still asking for money and now one of the other victims families are suing and that is a no no. But here's the interesting part about this. It's not illegal for the cops to do that. There's now a law that is either in the works or has been passed saying no it becomes a crime now for law enforcement to take photos and share them especially since they're not even involved a with with the coroner in any way in an official capacity so the lawsuit was going on and is going on. And here's also adding insult to injury Sheriff alex villanueva is being accused in the lawsuit of falsely assuring. The families that quote every possible measure was instituted to preserve and protect the accident scene and instead the court documents indicate whether or at least eight deputies were snapping photos and shared the graphic photos. So that loss of gonna fly i. Yeah and what's going to happen to the sheriff's deputies. Well not a crime. Basically bad taste if you will. I don't know if not a policy within the police force so things are changing it. But it's logical This i'll tell you what the sheriff's deputies have done. They could have sold those photos to the tabloids and made a whole lot of money and didn't do so james. Let's start with you. Hello james welcome to handle on the law. Yes thank you for taking my call. Sure i haven't employment question typically I was working at a very well. Known university in the center of pennsylvania famous football. I think you probably know who i'm talking about. You want me to say the name of the university or not. i don't care. How penn penn state university. Okay anyways Oh it was just working You know a low level job but cleaning a dormitory liz. a an employee and The employees somehow we were chatting and the job casually mentioned something about her opinion on gay marriage. And i just Politely and casually mentioned that. I support the traditional view Men and women fired from that job specifically forgiving my opinion and then about a year later. i was any food serving line the same university and to customers discussing the illegal immigration issue at the southern border. They asked me about it. And i said you know. I'm generally not allowed to talk politics. And the job. I simply support the laws of the country Permanently in penn state university Forgiving that statement And this is the university that prides itself on all but diversity training they always do that obviously rates and gender and that's not the issue here. The issue clearly is at will employment. Employing certain blink. My is the wrong way it gets fired. Is that correct. That is correct. That's an will employment they want now. Are there exception. Rose and sex-discrimination no at will employment means at will at the employers will now when you talk about race and sexual orientation and religion. They can't fire you for those those traits or your religious affiliation or your ethnicity that there is no at will firing but you have to be a protected class you have to be and therefore as a white guy. I'm assuming you're a white guy holder you by the way sixty two all right. Well i mean you could argue elder discrimination to. Yeah that you're not going to. You're really not a claim okay. You're really not a protected class so therefore you got the atwill business. Yeah they can fire you for waking up. In the morning and blinking. There is wrong. They can fire you for any reason they want. Except i can't that employees have have no rights. What was correct at an annual to argue with me. I'm telling you the law and you're asking okay to whether it's fair or not. I mean that's not what this is about james. This is about legal advice. No you have no rights except now let me get into the exceptions on less. They violated their own procedures. In other words there is a procedure. That.

"You knew it was going to be a day for all emotions and that's exactly what it wants whenever get to see. My baby girl walked down. The aisle have a father daughter dance with her Daddy Staples Center in Los Angeles was packed with family and friends of the League Kobe Bryant along with just thousands and thousands of fans people who as you talk to them really do think a Bryant as part of their extended family. I still can't believe that he's gone. I keep expecting him to come back. But in many ways we're learning this is not all gonna end with this memorial because yesterday we also learned that Vanessa Bryant Kobe's wife is planning to file a lawsuit against the company that owns the helicopter in which nine people died. Abc's chief National Affairs correspondent. Tom yomas is outside the staple center. He was there for the memorial so Tom First off. It just felt like this was the type of memorial ahead of state would get. This was not just your average athlete. What was it like in there? It really was spectacular. I mean it could not have been produced any better welcome beyond saying knows Carter but really I think the takeaway from this is what Vanessa Bryant said. Yesterday she was a beautiful kind happy silly thoughtful and loving daughter and sister. She was so full of life and has so much more to offer this world. She went up there. She eulogized her daughter her thirteen year. Old Daughter she also spoke about her husband. Really in some very honest and intimate terms we balance each other out. He would do anything for me. I have no idea how I deserved a man that loved and wanted me more than Kobe. It was incredibly sad. I mean there wasn't a dry eye in the staple center. We were watching from outside and people all around us. Were crying as well because it was just it was just so raw as you said God knew. They couldn't be on this earth without each other. He had to bring them home tab together. You take care of our JICHI got ninety. Bbn Cocoa still the best team and then his players the people who played with him Shaquille O'Neal talking about him to Kobe. Respect was guys were complaining. Kobe's not passable. So don't talk to. I said Kobe. There's no guarantee Kobe's an I know there's an emmy and talking about the mentorship. He had with Kobe Kobe to Nag him. Asking him about everything. And I think you said knowing Michael Jordan but then he could be like family. He wanted to be the best basketball player he could be and as I got to know him. I wanted to be the best big brother that I could be. It was an incredible event and we learned that the last thing Kobe Bryant probably did on this planet was he texted his his former agent. Best friend asking him to help out a young woman. Get an internship so you even in a moment right before his death he was trying to help people trying to help out young women and that was a common theme out here. Basically his sort of crusade to help women and promote girls sports and youth sports Tom with all this goodwill then it just seems so palpable even from across the country yet and yesterday. Also the day that Vanessa Bryant files a lawsuit. Can you walk me through that right? It's really the early stages and I'm sure that the news surfacing at this time was not ideal for the Bryan family but this is something that everyone expected it. It looks like there will be legal proceedings against the company. The helicopter company that owned that helicopter along with the pilot. Who was flying the helicopter. No signs the rotors or engines failed. They appeared to be operating at the time of the crash. There have been serious questions about whether the pilot is to blame for this because of the foggy weather you can hear the helicopter anything. I can't see anything if I couldn't see it. And I'm looking directly up at him he's not going to be able to see each and so far the NTSB said there is no evidence that there was mechanical failure All of this will come out in a court of law but that seems like. That's the next step now for the Bryan family and of course it's the Brian family mourns. So does the family of that pilot. That was killed as well. The company says this was a tragic accident. We have no comment on the pending litigation. Tom In Los Angeles. Thank you thank you and his tie breaking question for Panella with her magic actress. "Game on the day that stable center honored Kobe Bryant and bill becomes the first player to score fifty on consecutive days since Kobe Bryant why is saying that bill is the fourth player in NBA history to score fifty points in consecutive games without winning joins wilt chamberlain Devin Booker and James harden for general like ESPN radio the celebration of Colby's life in LA Monday heading home for a number of folks Bradley Beal affected by the you know who's watching from afar earlier on ESPN radio the will Cain show there was no greater act of strings no speech that resonated more no sure will greater in that a Vanessa Bryant Kobe Bryant's wife Jana Brian's mom she took to the stage first and she shared with us her daughter was who her husband was beyond what we saw on our television screens and beyond their celebrity he shared with us who they were and that for anyone who's ever giving a eulogy anyone who's ever lost anyone is a massive active strength but as a told us who were husband was and she told us who her daughter was the guardian of tradition the one that insisted on family game night the one that brought them together to laugh to watch him J. the person that everybody so closely identified Kobe with wanted to emulate about times that brought criticism because of the obsession but the relationship being so much stronger than maybe what we knew it to be I mean the the Shaq and Kobe lack there of as we found out that relationship we kind of just wasn't existed it shocked a lot of people conversely the relationship with Michael seem to be a lot closer than any of us knew when the tears and the vulnerability from the guy that Kobe wanted to be thank you so so much of Michael admiring Colby band that really hit me Jordan Cornette earlier on Spain and company as for the guise of PTI well what I was particularly moved by the courage and composure of Vanessa Bryant talking about her unimaginable loss what struck you twenty all start there too with Vanessa Bryant I mean just seeing her get up there it's it's unimaginable to me the courage it took the composure took and that's I you know I I wasn't sure what was going to happen when I when I tune did and so to see her talk about that and to to ask Kobe to take care of their daughter it was just moving in a way that I don't know that I was good people but but all of the speakers Tony started with with Jimmy Kimmel who sort of lead people through and I thought he was the absolute perfect host in the way he executed that in all of the speakers and Diana Taurasi you'll just struck me and and is one of the the talk of Kobe in women's sports and women's basketball and you don't know what they want then this new footage of her playing the game there was so much of it I thought it was an incredible public moment for Michael Jordan and people don't expect that from him and yet he had that and talked about the the the brotherly big brotherly relationship he had with Comey all of it all of all of it all of it was so moving and so sincere and so touching and I'm glad that I watched it I wasn't sure going into it that I would be able to or want to yeah I was happy with the humor and almost everyone who spoke tried to be humorous I was happy that there was a concentration on Kobe Bryant and his daughter and not just Kobe Bryant as a basketball player we're sitting in the newsroom here watching it as you know there's twenty five television sets in almost all of them in tune to ESPN but there's one tuned to CNN and they were in full they did not have commercial interruptions and that got me to think like that this was more than just a sports event it was a news event of consequence it's only absolutely and and not local not national global I mean because you see the reactions pouring in and people watching a lot of time where they are six and eight and ten and twelve hours different from from from Pacific time a and it it's a reminder about the impact of his life and the re action people noted that you mention humor and I thought you know I got now think of every speaker in a shack and I thought his light touch and it you know it the big history that he referred to the personal history with the two of them there were it was all it.

"I drive my car I I really am low writing I mean in my car I'm looking up at pretty much everybody else on the road that's why I had motorcycle the drugs Miata and I when the Miata first came out the Mazda Miata first came out I thought oh that's so cool because I always wanted a **** a triumph and MG one of those little English sports cars and this kind of emulates those I thought be so cool so Gina Smith and I we're going down to LA to this is in the early nineties to talk to MGM about doing a TV channel we said let's rent one of those driving down the four oh five looking up at the trucks in realizing I can just go right out of the truck I thought and this is after was terrified terrified maybe that's because gene was driving on so nobody I love the car but I would not want to drive in the four or five regular basis well I don't like driving anything on the four oh five no kidding yeah so as Sam low right now Sam he's a principal researcher navigate research he is a podcaster his wheel bearings show was a fantastic show for car lovers will bring stock media joins us every week to talk about automotive technology because that's there's a lot of tech in today's modern cars and and future Kerr will have even more tacky but maybe one thing they won't have steering wheels that that very many of them maybe may not have stern with this the Chevy Cruze that you're showing behind you right now it's called the cruise origin so you you may recall last April you on must killed in a town any day at Tesla for investors and financial analysts and he talked about by the end of twenty twenty it would have a million Tesla vehicles on the road are capable of being rubber taxis yeah the end of twenty twenty that's this year that's this year yes and setting aside the the issue of whether or not that's actually even technically possible tussles hardware which I don't get into right now the you know the the bigger question is the the form factor of Tesla vehicles you know in what they make is sedans and some and some crossovers S. U. SUVs like the model X. in my lesson the model threes in the model why really those vehicles are not actually very well suited to the task of being a rebel attaching nor nor any other vehicles or the you can currently buy you know most of what you see the Thomas vehicles are being tested the based on current generation vehicles have been modified with all the sensors and computers and everything to allow them to drive themselves around but you know vehicles like that as a as a rebel taxi where there's you know potentially no driver and there are really not the right kind of of form factor for that application because you know if you think about it you know card pulls up to your destination you get out and you know maybe you don't close the door completely or you take your stuff out of the trunk and forget to close the trunk lid you know things like that it's so you know if there's not going to be somebody in the vehicle you have to have a design that can actually you know take care of all these little details by itself plus you know these vehicles you know if things work out as as intended and they're driving you know hundred thousand miles a year in the for you know traditional vehicles yeah they would be worn out after every two after two or three years and you know then you scrap and start over again and you know even even with with a a tussle vehicle yeah they've talked about you once talked about you know is vehicles lasting a million miles there's still a lot of elements of that vehicle that you know within a few years are really going to be obsolete like the computers the sensors you know as as the technology evolves so what Cruz has done in collaboration with their owners at GM General Motors and Honda as they've developed this vehicle of Danville and San Francisco last week called the origin and this this is the type of vehicle we've seen others like it that these this is what rebel taxis are going to look like no the controls of any kind for the passengers or any driver right now I mean I others SO living room on the wheels yes some some buttons yet to maybe you know tell okay gonna start the ride or gonna stop now or things like that how do you tell where to go this probably nap right yeah so you would use it use an app just like you do today with over a left or something like that or you can do it in the vehicle potentially via voice control if you want to you know change we're changing destination but you know they've designed this with what they call carriage seating yes so that all the seats face the middle of the vehicle and Zeus another bay area company that is planning to launch a vehicle or any other developing their own autonomous system they're building a vehicle very much like the centers others out there like this but one of the the other things is different about this you know you've got dole sliding doors on each side yeah so it opens up in a close automatically when when everybody gets out and gets in that vehicle designed to be modular Ellis so the main structure of the vehicle is designed to last a million miles but things like the Los Angeles Orange County everywhere on the I heart radio I ray green the KFI news center this is breaking news coming from the camp I news room we are being told that the Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas I was a helicopter crash early this morning around nine forty seven AM the LA county sheriff's department says the helicopter is a Sikorsky and it was registered to the F. A. A. as a private helicopter to Kobe Bryant we're told that others on board were also killed and it was not including Vanessa Bryant Kobe Bryant's wife again from the camp I knew center we're just being told moments ago it's been confirmed that basketball legend Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash will have more to top of the hour on KFI am six forty more stimulating talk dirt manufactures are you currently working with federal regulators on some of those things to try to get those regulations change for Thomas vehicles and there's there's some was going on GM is applied for a waiver to build a certain number of these this particular vehicle you're probably not gonna see until early twenty twenty two in production and it will be available for sale it'll only be available through mobility servers like ride hailing service's operated by cruise's allergies echo so is Chris going to their own as I could be like that uber brand yeah now troop cruise cruises they've they've actually got their own ride hailing platform that they've been using in San Francisco for the last two and a half years have seen them only yeah but they have safety drivers and they have their look like regular automobiles these are not these look like little living rooms right there that the current vehicles are are modified versions of the show people the same car that you have yeah and so that's what that's what they plan to launch their service with at some point maybe later this year or early next year and then this one the the old with the color origin will be probably early twenty twenty two will be in production but I've heard that you might actually see it somewhere this summer and you probably start seeing about testing around San Francisco later this year as well so this is happening is is happening pretty fast is it in someone missing yeah it's it's you know it's only going to do this I mean they're already doing it was safety drivers is legal to have a car without a steering wheel brakes we also received reports not yet legal okay so they're gonna have to get regulations to right that's that's what the that's what they're working on the regulations for is the part about not having the controls in there yeah yeah while how do you would you be so have you written something like this hi I've written in the in vehicles like this in other types of any city in traffic like on college campuses there's a company called now the other builds a similar kind of you know me nervous I you know our operating summit university Michigan not like in a lunch over the front seat and hit the brakes or steer out of an accident but I kinda like the idea that I could if I needed to this White House you're just you're going you're going to you're going whatever the computer does that's what you go there there for him there's no way to get out you're stuck in the thing and that for all you know you can open a container ship to China you don't know what's going to happen or or some island in the middle yeah we'll put the deck I thank you Sam.

"Two times a week right here on podcast one. Welcome back. Everybody. I feel like I haven't slept days and feeling like I have this little cold on give congestion yet. And so everyone is talking about people are getting a sinus infection, and I am not doing that. Medication? I did. Okay. Good. I took a little jet, which I never ever do did take a little just in case medication because I just don't want to be sick. So tonight's a kickoff. Yes. So I tried to get Terry like really into my birthday yesterday. He would have none of it. I tried it on New Year's Eve. I'm like, well, this is the official launch to my birth that he was like. Really and then less and then on the treadmill at orange there this weekend. There was some song on it was saying it's my birthday pointing to myself. It's day. When didn't go for it, get it. So here's the thing. So today, so smart came over and I had tried on some things like before the holidays that are already have. And just in case outfits. Well, if I can't find anything over this in this for my birthday and. Then she found the I don't know. So she came over today, and I tried to stuff on it just didn't feel like a birthday outfit. This this isn't the problem. They're both. So we're going out for dinner with my friends, just very small group and unsaddled. Tearing I are going to go for lunch, and I just wanted. I don't know what I wanted. I think the problem is. It's just like the whole celebration in general is that you feel like it has to be so epic. And does it. I think it's it's like it's like we'll talk about with new years. You think we put so much pressure on it? You have to just release it, right? Yeah. So that's exactly the thing. But I was kind of like crabby triumph. I was like sorry. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. And then I had that moment. Whereas like, and maybe even Samara said this to be she's like, it's funny. If she plucks on your brain shows, it's funny. If this was someone else's birthday. You would love all this. And I go, right. Because like when we went up to LA for Nancy's birthday. I picked my outfits like that. Right. Even when we were up for diversity. I think it was just very easy because it didn't feel so important. I feel like exactly what you're saying. When you feel like it has to be this big epic thing you put too much importance on it. So I tried on like the other things I had originally thought as my just-in-case case close. No, not really right now. I'm over thinking it, it's fine. Who cares? The only thing is this is the only thing. So the dress wearing for dinner. Yeah. You've seen it. And I almost didn't texture a picture of it. Because I thought she's gonna tell me she likes it. No matter. What because. Yeah. You can tell me you're not going to be feel bad about it. It's bad taste though. I mean, knowing, but I think probably with you, you probably have said knowing lake it. But is there another option or I don't know? The thing is usually I wear saying that shows like my arms, right? My upper. Right. That's like I think my part of my body that I like the best and this is like long sleeve and it's super short, right. Like, there's no underwear. No, no. You have legs for days and that dress, and I'm not even wearing like crazy high heels because these are actually super comfortable, but it just is not something I would typically wear which is fine. But I don't know it's beautiful. Well, it's pretty it's. It is. But it's not it is. But it's not. And I think you you make it look. So glamorous it, but it's a gorgeous. Thank you. I didn't have my hair done. I have this like maybe sinus infection, and while I was cutting the tag, I cut my finger. I mean, my thumb pad which is by law and might need a stitch now that I'm really looking at it. But I'm just saying I think it was that and got his meanwhile, people having babies who else Oakham Kim Kardashian on that who else Vanessa Bryant Kobe. Oh, I did see that. That's so cute..

"Of you that makes you wait or number two, you are a twosome that place fast and the force them in front of you will not let you play through and they keep making you wait on every hole, which one would be more frustrating? The first one's worse. Oh, no doubt some catching up to the Tucson? Yeah. The twosome should stop down right there. The foursome is catching you and there's nothing worse than weight after every show. Thanks just nothing like Byron. If after every shot after nine holes, I'll play nine. I'm probably be done after nine. And the other one, Michael, they know they were there. I was there. I, it's their time. It's their call Byron. If you and I are playing and we're playing fast if they wanna let us through great. If the night don't they beat us out there. They were there. You're on the other one. The first one would drive me frigging crazy. Foursome. Catching the twosome. Everytime we're waiting. Yeah, probably hit the ball into. Just probably just say, you know what? Forget it. I'm awake them up. Let them know that they should. You know, did they should let us go through? Yeah, holding up. I'm I'm gonna. I'm gonna just hit into. The listeners have happened to me is this drives me? No. Nothing's worse than that. Yeah, yeah. Where we play, we you'll call over one of the red shirts. Marceau's wear red shirt, say, hey, get on those guys. That's actually a good question though. All right. Let's whatever you wanna to do here. Let's I got a couple of directions. Okay. Let's see this one since Byron's here. Now that LeBron James is with the Lakers some have said, Kobe, Bryant should come out of retirement to play with him. Shack even joked about it with TMZ saying, he's heard it's happening. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe's wife made it clear. None of it happening. Michael is convinced this isn't even worth discussing. He says that anybody who buys into this is an idiot Byron, you know, Kobe better than both of us. Is there any chance he plays in the NBA again, any chance at all? You know what I talked to Kobe about three weeks ago. There's no way. Inhale, Kobe is coming back to play basketball. He I tell me if you, you know what? He's so busy. Would other project that he's doing and you guys know Copeland when he when he dives into something else, he's one hundred ten percent into it. Body couldn't take and plus, like you said he his body can take Jesus not saying, and he he's not coming back to sit on the bench. Either compete elite level knows done and and Byron. I I've said this before, I'm curious if you agree, I correctly predicted this the day. He walked down by the way after faster. I wanna ask you about that sixty point game, which to me is one of the most memorable. But I said, when Kobe walked off the floor that night, I said, Michael, take a good look. He will never set foot in this building. With the exception of the night, we retire his number. He's not that guy. He's not the guy that comes back to high school after he's graduated. He's onto the next thing. I don't think Kobe Bryant, even with LeBron or team will sit foot in staple center this year. He's got to come to a game show to game. I don't know. I'm kind of like just not. Like I said, he's got so many things that are that are going on right now in. Basketball is not one of them. You know, the night they retired as number, didn't even stay for the whole game him. And Vanessa said. Ceremony at halftime waves and said, I'm out, I'm out. I know Mamba out. Yeah. Put a bottle of wine. Annetta. Kobe will come to a game. You with me, I'll take two bottles. Me one. We'll not to. He has to stay for at least the first half. At least for one is such a big deal abroad been here? No, not unless somebody's number gets retired. Any wants to come paid tribute to that person, but I don't know who that would be pow, pow, still playing. They can't retire body right now. Yeah, there's, you know, it's not that fouls check it. It just doesn't make sense Michael. What do you ride in the great captain hawk great..

"Yes. But then eventually replacing Steve? Yes. You move on from that. But when you got a kid that's still dominant that just wants his money, you dare you to moving. I don't disagree with you, Mike in LA thoughts on Aaron, Donald, what's up, man. Hey, guys, go and I went to the Rams training camp yesterday. Your Vinai just under here. Mike, you observation, obviously, team is loaded on offense and McVeigh. You could just tell, you know, you know, give a belief about the. He's just all about the offense. Wade depend on the deep end, but as far as their bottles, I think the fans would pay for this guy because I don't know what the Rams are waiting for because this team is never going to get to the next level without him anchoring that defense. I mean, they they look okay. But I mean, there is a glaring hole and his name is Aaron Donald. They're not gonna really go deep in the playoffs without this guy, and I think the fans alone would be willing to make up the difference of whatever they're missing. The pay, this guy. I don't understand what the holdup is. I don't think it's really all that much money in the scheme of things. I don't know the details if you guys the problem, I appreciate the call. It's the way the salary cap works in the NFL in a vacuum. They'd pay the guy, whatever they whatever they will. You stop letting 'em till you a salary cap. They pay anybody anytime that they want in the NFL stopped just restructuring contracts. Yes, don't let them tell you. Oh, you got to salary cabbie shoes. I pay anybody if I want. Got to do is go to him and say, hey, here's a little more money upfront. We're gonna lower your cap number. Here's little more money upfront. Go lower your cap number. They just did it with Julio Jones for one year. So they're just digging in their heels. All LA deal was moved Julio Jones money forward. Gave him gave him to money upfront. It called it, put money on top of money. No, you just took money from the back end in moving forward on the restructures of the Rams dinner. Just trying to leverage this thing. I mean, are they just trying to leverage the fact that they don't have to do this? I don't know what they're trying to do. All right. Well, you wonder whether or not they know what they're trying to do coming up next, somebody very close to Kobe. Bryant talked about whether or not he would make a comeback splaine who that is and what the answer is ESPN LA take the cheese to the top of the hill. I don't know where I came up with that. But that's a good bit though. So shack made some news a few days ago when he said. Grind. Could he's gonna end up playing again on you'll reverse? Well, I could say that everybody laugh at me. I was laughing. I could see y'all might not like it, but I could see it. Well, I'll tell you who does not like it. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe's wife went to Instagram and said, quote, Kobe will not be coming out of retirement to play. Again. He doesn't wanna play again, and frankly, we are really enjoying spending time together as a family without the crazy game schedule interfering with birthdays holidays.
