10 Los Angeles middle schoolers treated for suspected overdoses
"To know if cannabis edibles were behind the overdoses of several LA students, I'm Lisa dwyer. Ten Los Angeles students appear to have overdosed on edible cannabis products at their middle school in the San Fernando valley. The Los Angeles fire department says the students between 13 and 14 years old experienced mild to moderate distress at the van nuys middle school, fire department captain Eric Scott says the overdoses were possibly from edible cannabis products and investigators want to know if it all came from the same source. That would be a possibility that there was all from the same bunch, but that has to be conclusively determined. The important information here is that this is not fentanyl related

School athletic trainer charged with sex assault of 10 girls
"A Los Angeles athletic trainer who worked at two high schools has been charged with multiple sexual assaults prosecutors alleged that 64 year old Richard Turner raped or inappropriately touched at least ten girls while working as a trainer at van nuys high school and Birmingham community charter high school both part of the Los Angeles unified school district The alleged victims are student athletes between the ages of 15 and 17 Girls who sought treatment for sports injuries between 2017 and this year Turner faces 18 felony counts and is jailed pending in October arraignment Police captain Jeff bratcher tells the Los Angeles Times Turner's arrest came last week one day after a Birmingham student accused him of touching her inappropriately 9 other students then came forward alleging attacks both on and off campus Police say another student reported Turner in 2017 to the DA's office declined to file charges at that time for lack of evidence at a news conference Los Angeles district attorney George gascon said school is a place where our children should feel safe I'm Jennifer King

And aviation experts have said that the focus of private jets should be on responsible travel by using carbon offset schemes. Short haul flights off at least of at least ten minutes can cause one ton of CO2 emissions to be created during the journey, as well as gallons of fuel being burned off. And yet here we have one of the biggest shift caucus. Steven Spielberg lies his jet for 17 minute flight in Holland and Spielberg has previously said that he's terrified of global warming, quote unquote. And he called for everyone to be mindful that it could quote pose a danger to your children and grandchildren. But that didn't stop this bullshit artist from taking his $70 million Gulfstream G 6 50 jet. He can't upgrade to the bombardier, terrible. On a 17 minute flight a few weeks ago, his 28 mile trip from Anton airport to Rotterdam airport would have taken him 35 minutes by car. Or an hour if he dared take public transportation. The flight used a 145 gallons of jet fuel cost him a $1000 for the fuel and resulted in two tons of CO2 emissions. I don't know how long you and I have to live to give off two tons of CO2 emissions. And speaking about his new movie ready player one back in 2018. Spielberg said, I'm terrified of global warming. Global warming is a scientific reality. It's not a political trip. It's a true piece of real measurable quantifiable blah blah blah. And people have to come around to believing that we're going to have a confrontation with destiny unless we do something about it today. I think we have to blame everybody. That's just, you know, when you're not mindful of something that could pose a danger to your children and grandchildren. And then you just buy blindly, go blindly through life with aerosol cans, doing all sorts of things that are depleting the old zone. So but he bought this house. But the people who sold him this house flipped it. So in terms of shitty flip. Yeah, so it was like 2002, they bought it for like a $150,000. This house. Two bedroom, one bath, van nuys, California. Let them know. 5000 ft² lot. And so they sold a two years later to Andy to us for $350,000. Okay. So still a good deal in terms of now, but well, and now supposedly it's worth $750,000. Which is banana land. Because it is a 966 ft² house. Yeah. It is adorable. And this is what I liked about it. When we were looking at houses because this is how he asked me to move in. He was like, I'm thinking of buying a house. I'd love you to help me pick it out. And move into it with me. And I was like, that sounds terrifying. Because we had been dating for almost a year. A little bit less than a year. Okay. And he was like, it's going to take 6 months. Don't sweat it. When we found the house, he was like, I said, what do you think about me subletting my apartment? Because it was one bedroom in van nuys four 50 a month. Oh my God. What? With off street parking. They was like a set with a a swing on a tree and stuff and and They were like no more porn more porn. Someone told me this again. In terms of like creating that reality for the actors that we were going into an office so there was a little room off of set right behind the accountants where you could watch stuff that was being filmed where you had an office but that you built that out to look like an office from the outside so that the idea was that actor's when they walked onto a sound stage didn't walk onto a sound stage. They walked into a carpeted area with walls. That was like an office. Do you remember that. Not wanting the actors to go to a sound stage. I remember that on our original set there was a very low like low hanging lintel or whatever like the doorway was made of concrete or something and very low. And i would run from my office up to the set to give a note on run back to watch it and i'd run back and forth and everything and i crack my head on that..

"Waiting is making a comeback mixed feelings about it awesome. Well my neck. School sheet is also something to watch and this is a movie that came out in twenty thirteen. And i did watch it when it first came out but i just watched it again recently and it is called sound city so this is directed by dave grohl of nirvana and foo fighters. So right there. You're like okay sound city alright. Some kind of documentary. Whatever which it is but it is so much deeper than first off what you might think when you first start watching it. And he admits in the end. You know what. I meant to make this movie about this one thing and ended up being something else. So it's all about this board. This recording board. That is in the time in the seventies it was built by a brit engineer. And it was seventy thousand dollars which cost more than a house at that time and so he built this recording board and there only maybe five of them and someone in l. a. Actually van nuys in the valley near la bought it and was like okay. I'm gonna start recording bands. And i'm gonna make money doing this and it started out really really slow but they started getting people like fleetwood mac in there and so goes to the story of like really really famous people in this historical marching through of of bands. That everybody knows if you know anything about music. You will connect with all of these bands but there's also really cool stories with all of the people and the connections and so it's a beautiful story there and so even though the the focus was on the board it was really about people and it was also about going from analog to digital when that happened in about the humanness of creativity and what is happening now with digital or what happened then and then and all of these people coming together and and it goes beyond that. It's so well done it. So i just loved it and so like i said if you enjoy music at all. There's a lot there for anyone. Beetles come in. Johnny cash comes in. It's it's really great. Sound city short. Oh wow so. I i i thought i. I've seen it then the more you talked about of my guy. I'm thinking about a different movie. Haven't seen this one yet. So i cannot wait. Because i know i will love it so it was. It was directed by david. Dave so so he is such an interesting person for me because for some reason wanted to dislike him forever. I don't know why. I don't even know why i think it was because i love nirvana of course child of the nineties is like when music really hit me. I mean i already liked classic rock but ninety s when i was in high school and it was really my formative years for music and so i was such a big nirvana fan and then we lost kurt. And i don't know and i but that all to be said that he won me over so much as so generous and talented and the way he treats fans and the other projects. Mobile Field Hospitals Come To Los Angeles County For Surge Of COVID-19 Patients
"The disparity gap is again widening for communities of color, for example, Latinos in Los Angeles or twice as likely to get infected his white residents because of that, the city of L. A has deployed five mobile coronavirus testing teams to neighborhoods. Have been hit the hardest piece here. W Scalea Wells has that story. In early December alone, the number of covert 19 infections nearly doubled in the East, San Fernando Valley and South L. A. Combined, those two parts of the city made up 45% of all cases in the first week of December. Both are predominantly Latino communities.
