So there's one the first one says to tough now available. Videocassettes bronze bronson's kin getafe forbidden subjects. And then american ninja three blood hunt. I'm pretty sure i saw that. I know american ninja too. I love american. Ninja one but River of death death. Michael dudenkov robert von donald pleasants. Movie scene. that i had michael dudakovic's actors. I really liked the eighty s and my dad really liked. I remember that. I remember another ninja type of movie. That wasn't american ninja with him a track that one down there's a three Like a triptych of of movies on an ad for tommy lee jones. Virginia madsen movie called gotham track. There actually is funny enough. There's a comic book convention ad those greatest and comic book as that you would see. There's so that's a legit comic book ad here and The you have an ad for cannon movie tales fairy tale things beauty the beasts puts boots the printing on. This is a couple of words that obviously looks like something didn't line up. And then the powwow highway which was called which the seattle times called the native american rainman. And then on the back of a candid video ad for cyborg which notes that john. Claude van damme was in predator. And this was something that I was like when i was a kid. I was like he's in predator. And there's i'd seen predator wartimes than i probably count at that point It wasn't until years later is that i knew that learned that. He was cast as the predator but early into pre production. It just didn't work out. He was complaining about how the the suit made him sick. He could move in it. They decided to go with. Kevin kevin peter hall who was much more bigger at imposing. And and what you got. It made him The elliott war. Like you didn't really have any lines. And things like that. But i guess because they damp had been cast in the movie candidate thought we'll put predator in there so I don't think that any footage of vandamme and the predator costume exists by the way. Not in these sort of eric. Stoltz shot fifteen minutes or so back to the future before they decided to replace him with michael j. fox and you can still see the back of stoltze his head in one of the scenes in that film sort of way i think they just they realized pretty quickly in the van dam was going to work out but anyway i wanted to note that promo comic because like i said i've had it for a long time at this point and it'll it rotates through cheap bins every once in a while at it's just kind of audie curiosity like somebody would put a whole comic together justice a problem for this movie an r. Rated movie that and this is clearly aimed at kind of slightly older kids who were two youngest already movies technically but then again late late eighties. We're getting ready to movies at twelve so cannon that all right that does it for cyborg I do have some feedback. And what. I'm.

Philadelphia Eagles CB Darius Slay on Matthew Stafford trade to Los Angeles Rams, what to expect from Jalen Hurts

"And all pro a pro bowler the interception leader in the entire. Nfl in the year. Two thousand seventeen now philadelphia. Eagles formerly of the lions ladies and gentlemen dairy slack pickling was good. It was good how you doing man not too shabby. I just sneezed a couple of times. Because i'm allergic to the cable companies over charging people it's unbelievable. What's going on out here. Darius i just saw you i believe you were talking about you. Stafford with the nfl films. He is leaving officially now. We'll get into you by the way i want. You know we do appreciate you coming on. We think you're baller. We'll talk about your life as well. But i would like your thoughts on something. It's happening pretty topical here. Matthew stafford is going to the los angeles rams night. The guy who wore number nine put out a nine minute video via the detroit. Lions which basically was emotional. It was a beautiful watch. Evan fox diehard lions van damme. your. I almost cry me so there was. Yeah yeah me too. I got a little. What if there's a lot of people i think are about to be introduced to matthew stafford. 'cause when your quarterback for the lines are not necessarily on prime time television all the time except for maybe thanksgiving. He's an absolute stud. And i think a lot of people are about to learn that. Do you feel the same way as somebody that was shared a field with him. For what six seven years or whatever in detroit and he got mad they gotta gotta go be unbelievable down man on the la. He's a very talented man. Smart guy he will work hard and He's a great leader. Man lead by example. He approached practice. The right way Like i never seen it. professionals is a long time and he. He's he's the man what is what do you think he's gonna do to that team. And that offense obviously he and mcveigh both guys of alpha personalities. But it seems like stafford. Also is one of the tougher quarterbacks ever to play the game i know he played with. What a broken back. Like what do you. What do you think he does instantly for that office. Up thinking to bring a lot of like know accuracy. Deep ball guy He will carry a team man go he could take any low In low you wanna give him you know. Click gays comeback. Like i said for longest man. Staffer was only missing a great defense in our Around half a great defense. Becky continue to get the ball back when i was at time. Stafford was putting up thirty points. Defense flutie given up thirty points to as well so but guy that got a defender keeping twenty point under seventeen points under yes tap. Wanna put up clear. A thirty points easily. Isn't that something that's pretty interesting is. We're talking to darius like corner for the philadelphia eagles. Now isn't that something interesting to think about in this is coming from a corner. Who's on defense. Is that a thought. Hey if we keep them under twenty points are guys going to be able to get an. Is that a goal going into each game. Hey now greenwich last shutout. We want this but the realistic like. Hey if we keep this under twenty. There's a good chance guy's gonna get that. Is that something that actually goes through your mind yet. Easily may cause you know a you see the work definitely with guys like staffer. Long enough man. He gets hot seagoing man. He's unstoppable star any kind of way Making the easiest Hardest make look easy. And you know that's always a defense go to have a team on the twenty. Most of the guys honestly as a quarterback league wants big status scoreboard up. I'm not going to ask you about the drama. That's been surrounding your team. Because there'd be incredibly unfair to you. You're not involved in that but jalen hurts appears to be the quarterback going into next year for you guys. What did you see. Jalen that makes you think like okay. This guy is going to be our guy. There was moments of greatness out there. I don't think everything was as smooth on offense as out of the ball last year as we would hope. But what do you think like philadelphia. Eagles fan should expect from jalen hurts. That you've seen behind the scenes. It's like hey this is. There's a reason this guy's going to be our guy now because he's a great leader as a young guy came to a chip on her shoulder. honestly man no disrespect carson. But he always felt like that was his spot. You know Causing the great guy but he came into the yoga came into the room into basic on. Take over to the office. You know as Why not disrespect me. Just as in i want to come compete against you to become this guy and i want to be the face at his team. He always had a ball always had drive in that kind of separate a lot of guys that you know. He was kind of just determined. You know is competitive. Why not disrespectfully. It just like mom. Okay to compete. You're the best rocky for the team. That's all were you surprised at all. Were any teammates surprise to see him. Like what's he like that from day one Well we already saw that. He had a lot of swagger about him ignored college. That's what we use as the term. Now as you see a goddess plan college boy he got a lot of sway. You carry yourself the right way and you can see in alabama and he you ever had to take no game bitch at a at a taleban. Dan going over. The numbers being heisman candidate. You know so. He had a lotta drive yet. A lot of a lot of stoudt loves to prove he. He's ready to prove it right now.

Interview With Conversation Design Institute co-founder And CEO Hans van Dam

"Odds van damme. Welcome to the voice by podcast. Thank you so much for having me. Okay so you are. The head of the conversation design institute. Why don't you tell the listeners. A little bit more about what that is just to get them started and then we'll talk a little bit more about how that all came to be. Yeah so conversation design institute. What we do is really recognize develop and promote the role of the conversation designer. So we sort of envisioned at every enterprise in the world is going to have a department. That's going to work on a assistance whether it's chat bots voice assistance and are all going to have people designing these conversations. Deploying them and managing them So we really recognize that as a serious profession and together with the industry. Really try to figure out you know who's going to be working at department. What's the skill set that they need. And then we develop content for that so we have courses. We have a certification program And that's really how we try to position ourselves in the market as the leading training and certification institute for designing versions. Okay yeah that's great okay so for the listeners. Now they have that context. But you didn't just arrive at the conversation designed institute is like the first thing you've ever done so tell me a little bit about how you how the conversation zayn is came to be but like your career and how you move forward. You were just mentioning to me. You thought when you were younger pre university that you thought you might be a writer That's straight into economics. And and i think writing came back a little bit. Yeah that's that's that's definitely true. So for when i was in university i i went to university of amsterdam thinking that was going to be really studying economics and then i got more interested in philosophy literature and just started reading a lot and i was writing fiction short stories and i. I really thought. I want you know was going to become a writer a novelist and wrote a manuscript. Send out too much publisher Publishers stay did not agree with that vision So when it was time to actually get a job. I got interested in copywriting. So it's like what's something related writing. What does that mean so ended up as a copywriter at a startup. incubator through. Ace venture ops part of mit stanford v latte so. So i was helping out these different startups helping them with the proposition and writing copy for them but allow me to then learn about technologies. Well so got more interested in in the tech space Join a little startup. There was doing some video streaming completely failed so when that story ended it was time to get different. Jobs ended up in customer service really as a quick job doing social media for kayla dutch airliner. So fire go into airline and customer service. Exactly so that's it doesn't get better than that and the company though is involved there with see x. company which was a chat bot company Acquired by siham a couple of months ago so i joined. cx company and Day were doing still virtual assistants whereas like you and a so. You'd ask a question they probably would not answer The old school things on a website and all of a sudden like everybody wanna chat bots and got interested in that and became more conversational. Cx company at the time didn't really know what that meant for the content. Their clients had no idea what that meant. And for me is like i always wanted to write dialogues and know from fiction writing understood. The technology understood the service space for me. It became very logical to actually focus on that problem. So i started doing this freelance at a bunch of clients and then i met my co founder and they had a an agency and behavior design so they were a psychologist thinking really about how people interact with products designed design for certain behavior and made a ton of sense. Because they were already doing stuff with conversational interfaces as well and we really. We realized that if you have a conversation between an artificial brain on a human brain you know you should make psychology and technology equally important in all right and so we. We started playing around with that and we had an agency was called robo copy at the time so so we just got a bunch of clients got more experience about designing conversations Started a little academy which is really focused on chat bots and Got in touch with google. Wally brill that that reached out to us and he really took us under his wings. And explain there's a lot of the fundamentals of voice design and connected with other designers So that got us more experienced gutters to work with you know the best designers in the world and and learn from there and as we went on that journey we really saw that the education was a big part of it So we created the academy and now mission or honest. Really that you see that enterprises are looking for conversation. Designers does lots of people that are actually designing conversations. But there is no alignment job title skill sets. It's very fragmented service. Enterprises can't find designers designers can't promote themselves very well tech companies on the other hand. Don't really know who's going to be using the products and how to design freedom universities at university at the same time note that i have to train people for jobs in the future Don't really know what jobs are so. We really tried to seek alignment now in an industry of conversation design. Therefore for conversation design institute was a name more suitable for that as well. So that's really how. I went from failed novelist conversation driver

"Night. With as once again, the discussed this John Van Damme's first real movie. Think no no, no one isn't Cyborg before this. I don't know. I were the first row one. I know that that definitely before this That's slightly analog boys you're hearing is Dr Winter with us once again to. To discuss this wonderful film I got we had to do this why it so good. I thought that was actually going to be for bullshit because it's come out that rate is it Ray Dukes? Always Franken branks dukes frank is an absolute liar about everything and it's great. It's such a weird thing to have like to have that come out because in my childhood this this was Gospel like this movie is based on a true story and there was no way to easily look look stuff up and so like this Guy Frank Dukes was against ultimate furthest thing and basically made up the entire and of course we took it as Gospel because this was the movie of My childhood, the amount of time. I have done like flow posing with finger like weird finger nighthawks you back with like just like. The amount of times I. Have stood there and like flex by needs about to kick somebody is if a lot, it's a crazy amount does it does explain your obsessing doing the splits on the timing punching guys. Look at me do the split by say that a lot. Too for those of you who haven't seen this movie If if you want an introduction to adjust read like the the instruction manual, the Bordeaux Combat. Yeah basically like Johnny Cage's based making fun this yeah yeah. Underground fight club. And sometimes people die. But the reason why I picked this movie looks too. But one of the big ones it's finally a movie that addresses my biggest complaint about every movie. Is that there's not enough blood because and this will be. Blood. In the title there's also enough sport. Wait you're talking no holds barred would not have enough sport. No no holds barred had the exact right amount of sport for a movie about wrestling in the eighties..

"Cheney mark David van Damme and Scott rob making sense of it all having some fun this is mark Lee van Damme and robin mark leave that David van camp there's got Robbins okay there is a whole lot of stuff going on when it comes to Iran and reaction to what's happened over the last week okay L. at all more representative out of Minnesota okay under which way she went well I don't know if you've heard the whole story she saying she is not down with any more economic sanctions toward Iran right first not Israel yes but yeah to Ron no no we can't do that and why is that I forget her reasoning I mean I know what our politics are but is there a certain reason for that David all you just me you're punishing the people they're not responsible for the war machine but that she would say is Israel yes okay what I'm sure all right so she makes this statement that has some people well little bit offended roller I feel ill a little that because of of everything that is taking place and I think every time I hear about com I hear of conversations around war I find my myself being stricken to with PTSD and I I find peace knowing that I I serve with great advocates for for peace and and people have shown courage against war so the line there the P. T. S. D. representative Jim banks Republican said those comments were disgrace saying it's offensive to our nation's veterans who really do have PTSD after putting their life on the line to keep America safe and then all of our tweets back but I survived wars a child to deal with posttraumatic stress disorder much like many who have served or lived through war it's shameful that you as a member of Congress what a race that PTSD of survivors got a lot of her calling on somebody else calling him shameless waiting back at are saying your words and actions at today's press conference reveal your feelings toward our soldiers serving abroad and the video speaks for itself yeah and what he's referring to there is a speaker after Omar talking about military deaths if you haven't seen it what's going on as this lady is explaining it Israel had all Mar and Rasheeda to leave talking in each other's here and she's giggling throughout it yeah yeah they they just look like a couple of giggling school girls and I you know when I when I first saw that initial comment about P. T. S. D. I thought that there might be some unfair criticism about that because it is true she was a refugee all that she's she's seen conflict first hand as a civilian and I I I yeah I don't think you can just outright minimize that however she minimizes it by then turning around right and giggling about something that was that was going on if you want us wager PTSD than just teller well into Ron some people did something that's okay then some people did something right that's My Girl man oh man so yeah I you've probably seen a lot of pieces being written what is going on I mean who which side is she on well see if you just want one either she tweets yes I think it will probably tell you everything you need to know now Lee meanwhile you have will heard David yeah talking about how to solve money and taking him out yes because there's been a lot of back and forth when it comes to turn giving the green light to take out the terrorists in chief Qassem Soleimani Democrats in a couple of Republicans are upset because they you know they didn't think the intelligence necessarily was justified when it comes to taking him out so will heard Republican is not exactly a trump booster says I'm good with the intelligence that I saw at this briefing yesterday and I think he put it when we're having this conversation about was it justified to take out solo Monty and well how how do we really know what he was doing in Iraq when we bomb them I think he did a good job of putting things into a bigger perspective okay it was unlikely hit him in.

"Making sense of it all having some fun Frances this is mark Lee van Damme and robin thank you so much for being here the Barclay van Kampen robin show I'm Jamie Markley that they were van camp there Scott Robbins well some people earlier this week we're thinking World War three is all on I am a good part of that was because of the media and the freak out before all the facts well that's the danger when you decide to go ahead and spread a Ronnie and propaganda yeah so here we are a little later in the week now and it seems like most people have calmed down but it's the aftermath of what has transpired between the United States and Iran over the last several days David yes well and so you know because Iran fired some missiles at a couple about post in a rock and you know there there's been a prevailing theory that that perhaps they knew they were going to kill any Americans because they really didn't want to my parents came out today and said no that's not the case they were shooting to kill the president spoke about it a little bit this morning about what's going on with Iran and here's what he had to say Iran when an ad they hit us with missiles should have done that but they had us fortunately for them nobody was hurt nobody was killed nothing happened they landed for very little damage even to the base they landed but we had a chance to take out a monster we took him out and it should have been done a long time ago yeah in other words like what we're talking about yesterday okay so they damaged a couple of buildings on a couple of bases so money is still dead yes so anyone that has the take whole truck got played by Iran while you're really jump there's some hopes there well of course and I still am not convinced delta Orion was really trying to take out anybody from America but defense was on the today show he made the rounds today saying no they aim to kill yeah but the vice president has to say that because he's also at the same time saying this is how good our intelligence as this is how good our early warning system is that we know when this is going to happen so we can let people know to get to shelter to get safe and not only that but you're also helping Iraq Hon full their people into believing they really get fired these muscles area with the ill intent because you really want peace in the end so yeah I I get the whole play there now Savannah Guthrie though on the today show while she was interviewing vice president went on to basically accuse Mike pence of leading military personnel be sitting ducks and I love the way this is the one thing about my parents because he will steam rolled you in the nicest possible way while smiling yes and wrote was incredibly risky for the US to allow Iran essentially to take the shot well no not at all we have the same for its the frankly around was making threats over the last week remember this all began on December the twenty seventh when Iranian backed militias killed an American citizen injured for American personnel the president ordered airstrikes on five militia base we would not tolerate violence against Americans an examination of an imminent threat of a larger attack could you we were as safe as we can the we also made it very clear that any loss of American lives would be met with with strong Ripper cautions Tom have a great call it out why well it's a guy you like any sterols reporter feel like I'm funny yeah what is a politician I hate like answer the question you're not answering the question above a creek a hundred percent it is just funny though on the right side well every that's just part of a bid sometimes you try to scale back and it's almost like is we switch gears here too the two Republicans that are up in arms on the way the intelligence report came to them right this big meeting or talking about rand Paul and Mike Lee they're out there gripe and moan yes right now if you switch the sides here and this was the Obama administration and it was a couple of Democrats speaking out against their president they probably would be my favorite people right now I'm just admitting that but because of like you know me thinking this was a good thing what we did taking out for money yeah the way it comes off with Mike Lee and rand Paul just looks like grandstanding to well well I think the problem is that people are reporting what they were saying accurately and I know that's going to come as a shock but I think they're leaving a lot of people with the wrong impression so yeah you're right Mike Lee and rand Paul were mad yesterday about this intelligence briefing they got but it's not about the well lease with Mike Lee it's not about the initial strike because the opening part of his statement is conveniently being left out of this reporting once yeah I believe that more than any other president in my lifetime.

"Van Damme and just got broader making sense of it all having some fun Frances this is mark and robin Robbins of tensions between the United States and our on heating up the Middle East I sub cease ominous warnings from the federal stalking about how the media is lying about the attacks and basically to save Obama's legacy with the Iran nuclear deal well there are some but backed out of that I mean there are some people who appear to be openly celebrating Iran right now we're rooting for Iran you talked about joy Reid from MSNBC earlier and it is one of those things where you see the New York times talking about these attackers as mourners right or the Washington post its protesters as their attacks him see and you're like okay exactly what's going on here you can get so deep in the weeds like a lot of things in the Middle East because it goes back centuries as to where we got to this place in time but it's pretty easy to see that this is a run in Iraq Iraqis that want their sovereignty don't want a ride in their in Iran wants to be in there and so if you go back to you know the Iran deal with Obama when he basically said you're all gonna have told learn to share the neighborhood Saudi Arabia and cities across the nation everybody in the Middle East as always been really good at that historically right Hey just share the neighborhood which I mean give me a break man the welcome wagon yes good bombs in adult by the way just a quick question you will get a little bit deeper into this do you think Obama at the time viewed himself as the great peacemaker of the planet like I've already won the Nobel Prize I will be able to bring peace to the Middle East and this is how I'm going to do it that he had that sort of god complex well I think you have to be influenced by his own by the adulation sometimes I mean and couldn't help but be right well I I I think he he didn't really believe that if people are not shouting death to America than there was a win there would really it's like no you just kind of gave them everything they wanted right it made no sense to me and it again man if you just played out you would know where this ends up it seems to me like it wasn't so much a complex although that is in play it's also he was picking sides in my opinion a lot of times the wrong side but that's what the whole you know article from the Federal she's kind of getting at that's why the media is painting a different picture of what's going on right now than what reality is which does make a lot of sense to me ed says the media's goals to characterize the protest is a wholesale rejection of trump's policies in the region hence the wall to wall disinformation about morning in pro testing yeah that makes sense you know again to get all deep in the weeds on all of it not something I really want to do in depth but it's not that hard to see what's going on there and what we got a quick pour in a ton of our money in two you know different places that are run by terrorists it I mean it makes sense or twenty three trillion in debt and we're following all this money there yeah that that needs to stop meanwhile is go to CNN and the rise in anti semitism yes you're seeing the story of more and more yeah more and I mean there were just a couple of people arrested for a different answers medic attack but there is a big one in New York just outside of New York City where dude with a machete attacked a group of people gathered at a rabbi's home for Hanukkah and this follows a whole lot of anti semitic attacks in New York in New Jersey all of which you know have suspiciously flown under the radar because most of them have not been carried out by a white dude wearing a magic hat right correct so that is true to the hate crime narrative suddenly disappears and now it's about a complicated racial relationships this seriously that's what my god now CNN had a pretty awkward moment talking about Jake tapper was talking to Barry Weiss a writer who just put out a book on antisemitism and I think it starts out interesting because Jake tapper is calling himself out and then it gets a little complicated as it goes on okay this is kind of a sensitive question but do you think the reaction by politicians and the media would be any.

K. meeting with our NATO allies well here in the United States the Democrats are moving ahead with his impeachment stuff you've got hearings coming up this week and trump was asked specifically about this whole thing and now the media is mad at him for answering the question and here's part of the more malarkey less add statement.

S. scale shock waves because this anonymous person that wrote the op ed in The New York Times sorry failing New York Times last September is back with a full book troubling claims go ahead is a picture of a president who is unstable and inept according to excerpts obtained by MSNBC the also alleges the president can be so radic that most top administration officials have pre written resignation letters ready to submit all okay that part I'm not surprised because that could be a tough gig well again you never actually know what's what's going to happen here you could get fired via tweet you could yeah so everybody already knows that shock waves shockwaves the writer describing in your daily five alarm fire drill we're senior officials cancel plans and race to the White House to prevent the president from enacting his latest wacky or destructive idea wacky I like wacky made it into the story Hey five on fire right now wacky idea alert to the White House immediately well then it's not actually this is NIT picking right now but that's not really a five alarm fire drill is it really if they're actively responding to something that is a fire five alarm fire response you get a little bit but I mean it taking here but I understand I got to find something because this this is totally uninteresting to me that some anonymous coward writes a book I don't care no but it sent shock waves no we didn't yeah with the weights because it's about to get killing NBC news does not know who the writer Israel or whether they were in a position to witness what they say transpired in separate excerpts published by The Washington Post did not verified by NBC news the other claims a senior trump administration officials at one point considered residing in a midnight self massacre to raise alarm bells about the president but ultimately decided not to it's not a I know I'm being that picky again it's not really a midnight self massacre is so so much as it is that that would be like a group suicide right I suppose okay out of fear it would destabilize the government according to the post the author also discusses Mr trump's fitness for office describing him as reckless and without full control of his faculties writing in part he stumbles floors button for president they are glad sorry because he's writing a part he stumbles floors gets confused is easily irritated and has trouble synthesizing information not occasionally but with regularity those who would claim otherwise are lying to themselves or to the country okay she's huge news write them okay all right the only just move on to the next target this is big look at all this I saw this on Good Morning America and the and the only thing that crossed my mind is yeah let's highlight this but no exposing billionaire peta file Jeffrey esteem that doesn't meet our editorial standards I can't help but think the same thing as I'm watching this so you don't know I doubt it you know what this is a joke yeah all of you news organizations are a joke now see the thing is they are trying to find out actively who this anonymous writer is unless they find out it's a billionaire pad a file in which case they'll just look the other way probably more the authors say behind close doors the president makes racist and misogynistic remarks including comments about a woman's appearance make up and wait even referring to some women is sweetie and honey no no no yep yes Joe Biden gropes people yes and sniff their hair yeah thank you Darling as far as honey or Darling how is this sending shockwaves at all we've heard him say it are you know publicly no hello care man but this is supposed to be the one that does a man right this is very it's a troubling story you know where do.

A blast from the past these people were being singled out to have either clearances revoked or in the process, of being revoked to me smacks of Nick Sonian type. Practices of trying to silence anyone who's willing to criticize this president have puts. Us again in uncharted territory I, wonder if there's president again I thought there was a bit of an irony that hit that one of the reasons they cited for taking away Mr.. Brennan's Clarence was Iraq behavior I wonder if this White House is lifted self in the. Mirror, on that, very question oh and Finally I worry whether this precedents somehow lead to the president trying to take away. Muller and his whole team this is clearly another effort to silence critics and. Not allow the molar, investigation and for that matter our intelligence committee investigation to get to the bottom of, this Sonian, practices I wonder will President Trump takeaway Buehler's security clearances yeah Will his security clearances be?
