"New Shelvey Power Nitro plus premium gasoline, and I want to ask me to important questions about football, but first You know, we're having the age old debate of rancher, blue cheese and its devolved into this question for me, too. You are blue cheese stands the most judgmental group of people on Earth. Ah, no, because I don't feel like it's regionals, right? Like the most judgmental food people are the ones who are like Kansas City barbecue. Everything else is unacceptable, like that kind of person is worse than a blue cheese first in which is more just a general taste. Oh, my gosh. Is that me? Because I'm totally that barbecue person that comes in defense Carl's barbecue in Cyprus, Texas and says the Homeworld Barbie aside, let me stop myself. Okay? Yeah, you might be that person. Sounds like your It's better that you realise that now we accept it. We have it out in the open. That being said United even ask you. Are you a rancher, Blue cheese person. Well, that might have influenced my answer. Oh, no. You say that's shame on me the poor interview here, not getting to the lead before getting to the follow up question here. I just assumed that you had good taste and would have picked ranch, Meena, but that's not Clinton, or they're left with a point. I hate giving him back. All right, you know, let's try and get back on track and get something a little more amicable here. We're all excited for Thursday night Chiefs taxes in the situation, and I mean, I know DeShaun Watson gets the deal over the weekend and everyone so happy. Seems like someone who all around was an easy decision to pay. But looking towards that game, what are we realistically expect? For Game one of NFL football, especially between these two teams. Well, hopefully a shootout, which would be the best case scenario for Houston. And why, despite the fact that I think she's very much for the football team, I'm taking them to win the Super Bowl. I think it could actually be on interesting game because as much grief as the Texans have gotten, you know for trading in under happens for a bag of chips and some of the decisions they've made over there. Nobody's giving them grief for paying Sean. Of course, that was a no brainer and in much doubt as the defense rightfully deserved. This is still an explosive offense, and you've got a healthy will. Fuller, which has always been the variable has seems to German the text in success over the last few years in week one. I don't doubt that while Kansas City can and should win this game, Shawn Watson and company can keep pace with him. Now, Meena News of the day. Also, we saw a wild sign and trade attempt by the Saints for today, Van Clowney, but obviously he landed in Tennessee. Do you think there's something there Because you know me and my MBA blood. Do you think that there's something there for the NFL to really start reconsidering when it comes to these type of plays by by teams to tryto snagged top players? You know, it's good. You mentioned the MBA because wind Cleveland basically did this with Brock Osweiler. You know, acquiring him. They wanted pics. On DH, you know, didn't really care about cap space at the time, Many people act. So why was the NFL headed toward you? An N ba like future where they are using players, Maura's assets and basically trading contracts to get draft capital and the NFL apparently says no, because they seem to think that this attempt it wasn't by the way. We're hearing also that the raisins and Jaguars also wasn't doing something somewhere. The Ravens have gotten the player the jack fruit about to pick the NFL seems to have thought it was to blame right because Around the team for a second. In this case, whichever team acquired today, beyond would have immediately moved him making it very blatant. I'm personally By the way, I'm all for it. I have no objection to these sorts of shenanigans. Just because they make good seems more interesting and a lot of rebuilding teams to rebuild better. Our ESPN NFL analyst meeting times with us here on an angle of junior, You can catch her as a part of the new NFL lineup that has been crushing it on NFL Live this fall. Meena sticking with Clowney and the Titans. Let's go. They're obviously a team that sees itself as a contender yet again after a strong run through last year's postseason. What are we getting nowadays for Clowney? So many people are still always going to see the hit from back in college? See the player with all the twitch inability one of the Titans actually getting in 2020 from Jadeveon Clowney. You know, the hit from college is, of course, one of the greatest moments. But as recently as last year's getting, cloudy took over. Ah, game against San Francisco in prime time, and in that moment, looks like the best football player in Earth, and that's what you get from him. You get these flashes of just incredible, disruptive brilliance and games where he doesn't disappear. That would be inaccurate to say, but he doesn't really bring the pass rushing productivity. You want out of an edge guy, and I think that's why he wasn't able to command the sort of top of market contract he apparently wanted. That said he's still very disruptive on and still very good, obedient, blocked their pass rush relate reflect that he's still a very, very good run Defender and in Tennessee, he joined the team that desperately needed him. I mean, when you look at this team talk to bottom, the glaring wholesome Willie to Seattle was the past rush on, you know, they're Hoping that the combination of him a second year out of Jeffrey Simmons on the inside and inherit Landry, on the other side can give them something a better pressure percentage and they got last year. All right, Meena, Everything starts on Thursday. We're so excited for the NFL to be back. But what are you looking forward to? Because you have one of the best eyes in the game, and you always find the stories behind the stories. What are you looking forward to? As things kick off starting on Thursday. Well, you know, beyond that game, probably the most. Anticipated matchup of the week and I feel comfortable saying this is Buck state right? Because either divisional rivals, but they're two of the best teams in the NFL and everyone going to be watching to see how Tom Grady Looks in that new bucks. Offense is kind of fire power to work with Howie style meshes with blueberry in style, but I was very curious to see how Drew Brees looks because No way you have forgotten the same lust to Minnesota, and he looked terrible towards the end of the season. And this is a basically top to bottom one. The deepest teams in the NFL, which is why a lot of people do have them making the Super Bowl. To me at all. The only I think really concern I have about this team is is through. Breathe, going to look like that You're breeze we thought the end of last season. We know his arm strength is decline, but he's still so accurate the short intermediate level or you know, like the debrief. We saw the rest of the year. Big questions certainly hanging in the balance in that quarterback room in New Orleans. But Meena, the biggest question in the NFL right now happens to be living inside the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback room shout out to our Steelers reported prior for putting connections together, But apparently Josh Dobbs has been brought back to Pittsburgh and Mason Rudolph of both on separate occasions this offseason, apparently been spotted with former bachelor Lem Hannah a Meena. How do we reconcile this? Is this going to be the most shocking and controversial season? Oh, I wish I was a great set. Great like I could have set you up better because I was actually going to do something Big Ben, because it's big Ben looks like his old self. The Steelers team. "David Clowney signs a contract. That doesn't meet. His original expectations. Should the Seattle seahawks still want today in Clowney? I'm not sure if I'd WanNa guy who's not happy with his contract and only sign and because he couldn't get it someplace else when he was looking for Marcellus should the seahawks. Still WanNa Sign David Clown Great Point No. I don't think they should want to look. The caveat is what is that number like their reports that the number was as high as twenty one million. If the number is lowered in franchise tag which is at seventeen point seven. You start to have the conversation but I don't conversation there. I say if David Clowney wants fourteen million then he's a Seattle Seahawk anything higher than that. I have to call you back. And this is why I grade him in terms of talent and ability as a but in terms of production including availability. He's a B minus. You're just not getting all of the production you assume when you hear that name yes he jumps out on film because he makes plays tackles for losses hurries pass Russia's we get it but in terms of full impact. I think Davey and cloudy. The name is still a little greater than what you're going to get into game. So he played his cards. He didn't play on perfectly because he didn't get the daily desire. Is now been shopped around the entire league to no buyers on which you in terms of I have some reservation for a guy who couldn't get top dollar and is not giving me top reduction you can. You can never have too many pass rushers on a team and right now they should want today and cloudy because he tended to help your team Whether it's from a backups role. Or from the starters role his his leverage is pretty much don at this point mentioned what he had to lower his asking price. You gave out some numbers right there. Marcellus to me you can. You can take this a whole lot. Lower in terms of what the going rate for today would be at this moment. We talked about him. You mentioned jam at the top introducing the well. This is a situation where I think staying sitting and waiting would be a better a better option or debut and cloudy because where he stands right now the Seattle seahawks could sign him for basically next to nothing. Just like any other team could SI- next to nothing because they've shown that the market has spoken. The need is not tremendous for him and the money is being spent on guys that are current players now so it might be a better situation for him to sit and wait for somebody to get injured because for his position. It's easier to a defense event that just has to rush versus trying to do with. The quarterback has learn an entire label. I think he's scared. A lot of teams off by starting talking about twenty some odd million. When I don't think he's had a double digit sack season. And so now what you have our teams all approximately including the Seattle seahawks light. Well let's say we get today. Van Clowney at a bargain price of twelve thirteen. Fourteen fifteen million. But if he's not happy if he's looking across like Damn Myles Garrett make it twenty five million somebody else may be getting more than me and there have always been questions about the Davey and clowns motor and will that motor. Start up if he doesn't feel like he's being paid properly. I think that's the question myself we've got about thirty seconds left. I'll give you the final set. All McGee was the sack rates and this is where you should get paid. Shagged bear one hundred eight percent basically if he goes out there and starts the game. He's going to get a sack. You keep paying him. He's going to give to sex challenge. Jones eighty-three percent. Bob Miller seventy nine percent. Davey and cloudy forty four percent. That means you put them out there start. You're not even guaranteed a SEC. Put Him.

Look I'm just GonNa take my time here and look at my options and the reality is when he talked about his options. There's really only two realistic ones right now. And it's actually Seattle and Tennessee Bulls organizations have offered him. Multiple Times with the money is not what cloudy stamp is looking for right now so planning. He's sitting back waiting to see. Perhaps maybe those teams numbers will go up from what I gather from both Seattle in Tennessee. They are not moving on their number. "Jokes. Aside is just too soon if anything if our with him I would probably two weeks and then decide whether or not I would open up apprentice. Say Okay we'll it's just one size slowing down. Let's open up the price resuming. But that's my larger problem with a lot of businesses around this time they're trying to open up. They're like okay. Well we gotta make money and I completely understand. Look I'm trying to make money too but at the same time it's like what? What level of risk are you willing to take? Are you comfortable with? And this is not the kind of risk like Oh we're GONNA lose a couple of thousand bucks a couple of million dollars. No YOU'RE GONNA lose somebody's life. This is not the regular kind of risks. That businesses are necessarily used to dealing with technically. They shouldn't have deal with that but unfortunately this is the case Of course with business is always risks. And you have to be comfortable with a certain level of risk and I completely understand that again. The problem is the risk is human lies. How many players are you willing to potentially lose to this disease for union to continue to make money off of the NBA? And that's not a question I can necessarily answer for 'em silver. That is a question that he has to ask himself and by what he's doing he feels comfortable enough with potentially losing a couple lives so we'll be paying attention to that Continuing on is listen. John Van Clowney situation. Even guys haven't been paying attention on Don Danillon Crowley has been a little bit of a standoff with the Seattle seahawks. I'm not quite sure why he's even doing this. I guess he's assuming that you know. He's proved his birth with three sacks last year so unfortunately I mean he is a great guy regarding his defense but he's definitely not worth paying any more than got paid last year so he's kind of one a little bit stalemate we're not quite sure what he's doing there so he was trying to blow out the Seattle seahawks paying him more. Or He's not gonNA sign it's not gonNA sign any contract Of course the Seattle seahawks have called his bluff in right now. Cloudy is technically out of a job. Had this type of training video for other places as well as Seattle seahawks to show that he's healthy. He has recovered from his injury mashed year. Now the biggest problem is unfortunately he's trying to board game. Maybe helping now but the question is can you stay healthy and I think that a lot of these players are thinking about situations they did. Yes you are healthy. Now yes your excellent now. Yes you can do. It now believed to be able to do it later. How long will you potentially be sideline? How long were you on the injured reserve and ended up essentially paying for dead money and not having the caliber of personnel. But I thought that I was going to have but unfortunately you're injured so I'm going to deal with second best and that's something that again these players on thinking about and I understand You know you under that. You think that you're helping you think that you know you're going to be able to stay healthy forever but unfortunately especially within the NFL people get injured and injuries. The older you get they sideline you longer and longer And John Damian not no spring chicken so he will definitely be out for a considerable amount of time if he has entered again so the question is will he humbled himself enough to realize. This is definitely an issue with him is a risk but it's not a risk that they're unwilling take the Seattle has said that they're willing to take John. Deviant back on is not an issue for them. Their biggest issue is dealing with the uncertainty that he brings all on and how much money then you brings. He that he wants if he can somehow lower price tag is something that is considerably A little bit more pros and cons to deal with the risk of having been. Hey definitely probably sign him because they said that they have an open door policy for so again that being said we'll be paying attention to that. We're GONNA be seeing how that works out for him Guides it's going to be a pretty short episode. I'M NOT GONNA lie to you. Guys not too much has been going on. Of course you guys should be paying attention. I believe. Nfl teams have just started dropping their schedules. I know somebody who's schedule at two PM for the Carolina Panthers. They're going to be dropping their schedule at eight PM. So we're going to be even some library actions on our twitter. Make sure that you follow us on twitter and that is at at. Id K forecast again at on his Gorkhas. Make sure you follows on a tourist and get those lie reactions of the NFL schedule now There is a little bit of rumor going around at the first four weeks is going to be. Nfc BURS AFC. So we're going to see whether or not that actually happens. That should actually be pretty interesting. a little bit more than we're used to dealing with ticket with different conferences matching towards each other. It's typically like maybe like one or two weeks so we're going to see what's going to happen with the schedules with these. Schedules are looking like who's going to be having a hard time. I'm praying at the. Can't we'll find some place to go for the panthers? I'm hoping that we can have a somewhat challenging with somewhat schedule being on a lot of new people so we want to give them a little bit of a taste of the NFL. But we don't let it to be too difficult for it to be a hard way for us it. Potentially we get to the playoffs playoffs issue. I can't necessarily say for certain because like I said it's a lot a lot of new people so I can't necessarily save it. I wish I could because that would definitely make minded. That would definitely day. Unfortunately we're just going to wait and see that Seattle so until then guys stay safe washer hands and make sure that you take care yourself in their family all right. "All righty guys me. Now enter our last segment of the show today. Markus three wishes We do the same thing Every day on the show here at the end I like to wrap it up with some hopes or wishes or desires that I have for the NFL season fantasy football. Or you know things. In general that may apply to what's going on the world guys. I'm starting this week off Or mean sorry. This wishes segment off again with something related to corona virus very very similar to last week. I know I'm cheating. It's not a new wish but it's still just as important as it was last week and very very similar Mike Florio posted are recently on profootballtalk that Dez Bryant and Dak Prescott yet again have broken the stay at home orders in Texas and went out and worked out together again. Now my wish still resonates the same. My wishes for all celebrities. Athletes ACTORS ACTORS ACTRESSES. You know influencers. What have you whatever you are too? Please heed by these warnings. And just set a good example for those following you. This is unacceptable at this point. You know they doesn't matter if there are ten people working out with them if they were six feet apart or not. The order will stated that you know all meetings outside of a single household like unless you live with all those people is prohibited. So why are you out there working out with other people in public? It's just irresponsible. It doesn't make sense and they keep posting about it because they don't really care now. It's not as bad as last time. You know there were huddled together in the pictures and posts and and what have you. But they're still posting about it so clearly they don't they haven't gotten the message. Excuse me you know. It's just very disappointing. You know they say. The Dallas Cowboys are America's team They have a huge huge fan base. That sees this kind of stuff and you know lot of their fans are staying at home not able to leave not able to do things not able to work struggling etc etc and it's not that it's you know. Excuse me sorry guys. Now that it's extremely you know affecting us directly but you know what kind of example are you setting? We're all sitting at home. You know. Were dying to get this over with you. Know guys you know. People want to go back to work You know this is really a financially affected a ton of people and just to see you know these rich athletes Not Treated the same as us is really upsetting because it almost feels like at this point that people like us to you know we have no choice but these celebrities and athletes can go out and go train whenever they won and it doesn't matter So that that's what's really upsetting. Because God forbid any of them or their family members. Got The corona virus Then they would say look back on and say hey. Maybe I shouldn't have been out. I was responsible and give a fake apology. Because that's what it would be People are usually only sorry that they got caught doing things. They're not sorry that they did the things themselves. Now it's when people come out And they apologized for something without being caught or facing serious consequences. That's when you can. You can bet on that apology but You know it's just again. It's just my wish for everyone to just take this really seriously If not for yourselves for other people who could die catching this disease guys it. It's very very serious I myself know people personally. And A CO worker of mine. Who's been affected by it Who's been diagnosed with the with Corona with cove in Nineteen And it's it's it's very serious and nothing to be be Pla to be joked around with or not taken seriously so You know that's my I wish for today. Yes I repeated You know the one from last week but that doesn't really matter what matters is the message and trying to get this point across. So that's wish number one. Wish number two is actually sort of an extension of wish number one It's more More of a hope. I guess I guess it's a wish but I wish for the NFL take a firmer stance on all this corona virus stuff because it seems that you know players fuel you know if the players are feeling there are no consequences for this sort of thing you know maybe threatening Some sort of penalty Regarding the League Might change their attitude and behavior because you know their actions are directly could directly affect the league you can directly affect other players could infect other players. They could excuse me cause harm to other players. You know you know this sickness. Even though you know it affects healthier people less can kill someone who's healthy you know I it's potentially deadly. So what they're doing is is highly irresponsible And also since it brings a threat to the league as a whole The NFL the commissioner can do something about that and punish players who aren't taking the protocol seriously. Not Following Protocol enough. Always stay at home owners so that would be. I guess my sort of pseudo wish number two. It's just part of number one Because this whole corona virus thing I know we all wish it to end as soon as possible. And it's not gonNA happen any sooner with people not following the directions so that's wish number two Basically you know tied into wish number one. They have to do the same thing. But but yeah so wish. Number three is actually football related more football-related because that is also football-related with this more has to do with football in general but the wishes for the Seahawks to land unique in Gakugei. Now of course they have to trade for him at this point because he's not a free agent at this point in time and they might have to give significant draft capital for him however Recently talks with Judy Van County have really stalled on. People are saying that you know they might not even retain a David Clowney and I think that you know what they're looking for is if significant pass rush well unique and gangways career he is more sex than GDP uncloudy in less years. Now she gave me a cloudy has thirty two unique and got his thirty seven and a half In only four years so I think right now that might be a better investment than going forward to Dave Clinton wanted. Even I think he's going to fetch a higher price tag. And you know you can Gokongwei's younger and I think he has a lot to give and I think you know he's just a better pass rusher in general. I think David Clowney fall off. I mean it was very significant. Hit three only three sacks last year compared to unique and Geico is eight and unique in God was playing on a team he didn't really want to play for. I think going to Seattle and playing for Pete Carroll could another firing him but we could see you know. He had a twelve sexiest at one point. We could see him. Repeat that kind of success in the pass rush you can has already stated he is not playing for the Jacksonville. Jaguars so is in their best. Interest to trade him They're probably going to trade him during the draft but at the seahawks can make something happen before then or during the draft. It doesn't matter to make it to make something happen before then that'd be better because I feel at the draft. They'll have more people on the line and you know sometimes when you're making a decision like that in the moment of you can in the spur of the moment you can make more irrational decisions So I think you know. Unique and GOP way to the seahawks would be my wish number three just because I think he could bolster help both of that defense a ton and with more sacks that equals more fantasy points for the seahawks defense And they've been needing improvement because you know they haven't been the same since the Legion of boom was sort of destroyed and and separated so wish number. Three is for the seahawks land unique as a replacement for losing today. Van Clowney I think can help them a ton. I know the Eagles fans out there want him. But I don't see that happening. I think they need to excuse me. Invest a lot in wide receiver. So I think given up draft capital for the you know for a pass rusher would be the wisest thing to do so with that guys i WanNa thank you for listening to the GMC fantasy football podcast brought to you by the GMC podcast network remember. "It's just tough to gauge the signing. Because we don't really know what he is like. Quinn was an absolute monster in two thousand fourteen He was a monster last year with a ton of help on the cowboys defensive line but then you had a couple of seasons in between where he was injured for two seasons then. You had a team like the dolphins bring them in. They were desperate for an edge rusher. They let him go after his numbers were really horrific and he looked old right. He looked beaten and battered. Somehow though if you look at some of the metrics for that season with the dolphins who's actually number two in pass rush win rate only behind Aaron Donald during that season in Miami so very odd But in general like it's a lot of money Quinn struggles to to set the edge and stop the run. So his production is very much. Reliant on On getting to the quarterback so again for me huge boomer bus signing with with Robert Quinn. This whole division for me feels like an absolute mess and we'll see who ultimately emerges of course we talked about two teams projected finish third and fourth respectively team pegged for second with a legitimate shot to win the division crown that being the Minnesota Vikings. They had a ton of salary cap casualties. We know the direction that they were headed in. You get kirk cousins to restructure his deal and Daniel Daniel hunters deal as well to mean bless kapit. The Vikings go out there. They add Michael Pierce to make up for losing a lot of familiar faces on the defense pain. I mean you've been pretty open and honest with Vikings defense getting by more on name recognition and reputation than actual production with their any defensive losses. That you thought were going to negatively impact them or do you think the Vikings are in a situation where it's addition by subtraction headed in twenty twenty. So the big thing here is. Andre Patterson. The defensive line coach and Zimmer will now be sharing co defensive coordinator duties and we talked to your point about like how a lot of the defensive metrics were for the Vikings last season and caught some flak for that from Vikings Fans. And then days. After the season ends Zimmer cans of humorous defensive guys so you know he saw a lot of the things that we saw You mentioned some of the guys that he lost Anderson Day. How he's a guy that was basically in and out in and out and they don't think much of them at this point. Zero's we mentioned was getting up there in age was battling a bunch of injuries. Didn't have a big season. Despite somehow being a pro baller I do think the colts made a nice signing of him right. Because your hope is that. It's going to get healthy in this elongated off season yet in give much money. You're competing for a super bowl. So if he can provide that veteran presence as a physical bigger corner certainly makes more sense for the cult. Trae Wayne's you know my feelings on him already Everson Griffen. I really liked him Well he came out and said he is not returning to the Vikings at this point. You're looking at some of his. I guess what he could potentially be worth on the open market and I think he's a little shocked at this point. I did hear recently that he would prefer playing for Seattle probably some PR moves there from him and his agent knowing that today Van Clowney also prefers to stay in Seattle. And he's sense dropped his asking price so a little gamesmanship there Let's see who Seattle ultimately decided to go with. At Defense Event Lyndale Joseph would be a decent size loss in terms of a run stuffer. But you bring in Michael Pierce you can look at his numbers defensively well Baltimore wasn't great stopping the run and he was in and out of the lineup with some injuries. Last year when he was healthy and in the lineup Baltimore's Different stopping the run so Michael Pearson more than make up for linval. Joseph I think offensively. That's where it kind of you know. The A lot of people are nervous potentially about what that could mean Stefan digs departing for buffalo via trade. To me I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. I think that relationship between digs in the organization and digs and some of the players wasn't very good towards the end. Both parties were very frustrated. With how things were going. I mean listen I think digs is a is a fine player but the guy has a temper. Tantrum and a playoff game because he wasn't getting the ball. Meanwhile esteems leading on the road against saints. It's not really the kind of Guy Mike Zimmer wants in his locker room they would probably address that number two receiver position very early on in the draft Ben Linked to Denzel MIMS THE KID OUT OF BAYLOR. So let's see if potentially he's still there But that's really what it looks like for the Minnesota Vikings at this point and interesting team that I don't think has ever quite lived up to some of the expectations. We've seen kirk cousins take steps forward as far as his evolution as a franchise quarterback and we'll see if reshuffling of some of these pieces will keep Minnesota in contention for a division title and ultimately a playoff spot. That comes along with the last. But not least in the division team that we were major detractors of I drew all sorts of flack for calling them frauds. Given their record not the fact that they went out there made the playoffs and advanced all the way to the NFC championship. But those of course being the Green Bay packers last year in free agency they added four regular contributors highlighted by the Preston Area Smith. Signings we talked about last year that was uncharacteristic for Green Bay. They typically don't go out and sign high priced free agents. They elect to build through the draft with a lot of their homegrown. Talent Well we knew coming into this off season. The Green Bay wasn't going to be replicating last off season and to a certain extent they've lived up to that with minor ads and Devin funchess Rick Wagner on the offensive line Christian Kirksey and the linebacking core. You mentioned Jimmy Graham off to the bears but there are some other major defections defensively pain as well when you look at Blake Martinez. Bj goodson cuyler and on the offensive line. Brian blog has moved on to greener pastures so to speak. What did you make what Green Bay elected to do this off? Season and what the expectations will be from Bunch going into next season seeing if he can repeat some of the success he saw it as maiden voyage the divisions wide open. And it'll be interesting to see what the schedule looks like when it's released but I think from the early onset. There's an idea that based on last season the packers could be in for down here You mentioned the money. They spent on the defensive side of the ball last year. There were still some serious issues. Defensively had trouble stopping the run This secondary was improved but A lot of that was based on the schedule of quarterbacks in passing offense is that they had played so if suddenly schedule takes an uptick The secondary might not be as good as as people think. It is really. I think we're the question marks come in and the issues. A lot of people are having is offensively. What are you giving Aaron Rodgers and maybe that's GonNa come through the draft this year but I don't think signing Devin funchess Is necessarily going to be the thing that gets you over the top offensively. You'RE GONNA have to figure out how to replace Brian. Blog I know they brought in Rick Wagner. You're probably GONNA add a Lineman in the draft potentially early on This offense just needs more weapons point blank period And you have to surround him with guys that are capable and I don't think they have that right now. Certainly you're going to need a tight end. You would think I just don't think right now. Offensively this teams equipped to make a serious run. I think why you were so down on them. Last year is because of the luck factor. There are a lot of things contributing to the record. That didn't look so good metrically and again. Let's see what the schedule looks like? But I can tell you from the guys that I speak to. In the off season just generally speaking abroad sweeping brush was like. Hey the packers are probably a team that we're GONNA be looking to sell Let's see if that comes to. Fruition WANTS TO DRAFT CONCLUDES. If we see that they didn't add the necessary. Parts offensively to give Aaron Rodgers a fighting chance And then again what the schedule looks like when it does eventually release pretty crazy when you look at the way this divisional playoff with all of these teams more or less standing pat or in some cases maybe weakening their overall talent pools that you could find a team in this quartet to win ten football games but as you said we'll see what the schedules look like in that obviously be a determining factor in terms of what the True out forecast looks like for these teams and a win totals available at Fox but oftentimes very difficult to discern where there's value until you know how the week to week schedule will shape up right. You're looking at year. Two of Matt Leflore. The one thing that we saw teams do was adjust off his script. So now you're in year two getting to see what Matla floors done and we know that he doesn't usually have a counterpunch now with more familiarity of what he wants to do. That's why it's even more vital that you bring in some weapons here for Aaron Rodgers when you look at these four teams pain knowing that they haven't really done a heck of a lot at least on paper to improve themselves. We know what some of the advanced metrics suggests for regression in either a positive or negative manner. Is there a coaching staff? That you have a lot more confidence in I mean. Would it be the Vikings as clear cut runaways in this group of teams as far as hey look yes? They made some of the moves but there's a coaching staff. I think they can get the most out of its town. Where the other three the jury's still out. I think the Vikings probably are in the best position right. They're gonNA have to figure some things out. Defensively you hope with Zimmer being a little bit more hands on you know and you think digs maybe that's not as big of a deal if you can bring in a young receiver. The problem is you're probably going to need to find a veteran receiver because when you think about the transition from college to the NFL one of the toughest positions To transition to is wide receiver. And now that you're probably going to have a shortened camp That's going be even more difficult for receivers. I think to potentially get acclimated into their new or the rookie. Receivers get acclimated into these new teams. That's kind of the loan issue. There are a lot of question marks but in terms of the coaching staff Minnesota. I mean I like Matt Nagy. I really do So I think if you can get enough out of foles and you have the defense. The event is never going to be what it was two years ago..

"All righty guys. We are entering the final segment of the show. Today which is of course marquesses. Three wishes guys you know. We had a basically a jam packed show of fantasy football perspective. Stuff You know breakout candidates we defenses. You know potential surprises and you know potential top leading defense in the Baltimore Ravens. Now just WANNA share with you. Some of my wishes as I always do at the end of the show. Now guys for wish number one today it might take up a lot of the segments on might have might not have time for other wishes but this is an important one. I wish for these. Nfl players people you know with large platforms to do the most that they can to help this situation. Now what I'm talking about is obviously the corona virus situation and recently Dak Prescott posted a picture with Dez Bryant and a couple of other people That they were working out together. Lamar Jackson did the same with a b And Mothers and guys. You know we can talk about this from a football standpoint but honestly right now. I'm going to ignore that because it's a bigger problem at hand and is the irresponsibility To be a role model and set the example for others in this time of need You know it is pretty clear that you know working out with these with multiple people You know huddling together for a group picture you know in each other's arms is not practicing good social distancing being saved during this time where the virus can easily spread now. One thing that confused me about this is that are those players. Also not concerned about the virus. You know. It's very hard to track. How many people each of those people have come in contact with and you know you can't always be sure the thing is guys we all have to pretend as if we've been sick we've been in contact with someone who's had the virus and act like that posing for a picture working out with six guys five guys you know huddling. Altogether is not being responsible. And it's not sending a good message no matter what you guys think about these players. They're great players and I'm sure that they're great people but this is the responsible especially in a time like this. You know I understand. They WanNa sort of just give the people some good contests and positive content. It's given you know given shows a ton to talk about people talking about Dez Bryant Possible. Return to the cowboys you know. Would he be good or not? And I'll say what I mentioned it flat out right here. Dez Bryant back to the cowboys would be completely irrelevant for fantasy football. I don't think he'd be doing much in his return. I didn't really you know him. And Dak Prescott didn't do well together when he was there. When he was a few years younger he hasn't played football. And what two or three years. I don't think he comes back off an Achilles injury and returned to form you know Dez Bryant was never a Fast Guy. He was never had the burners was historic up and go get it he's only gotten slower. So it doesn't even matter for fantasy football Yes so like I was saying you know it was disappointing to see Because he's a leaders. You know a lot of kids look up to these guys and a lot of people look up to these guys in general and to see that even though yes it seems like something very small. It's the principle of the whole situation. You know if you're going to do that and you're posting pictures about it. What do you do that? You aren't posting pictures of where do you go? You know when the cameras aren't around so that that this is one thing that bothered me so I just I wish for these players to take this a bit more seriously and I'm hoping that a Lotta these other players don't think they're invincible because they're celebrities and NFL football players because should any of them catch the virus and become a big issue in the NFL. It will jeopardize the start of the season. And you know that's something that we really really don't need right now. It's something I've already talked about. Sports are very very important at times like this the NFL season starting up. At the right time would feel like sort of a saving raisin just a breath of fresh air so disappointing but it is what it is and we gotta roll with it. So that's my wish number one for today. I know a little bit on the heavier darker more serious side but you know these things need to be addressed. And that's one thing I take pride in being able to address Things no matter what you know I understand. You know you guys come here fancy football but you know. There are a lot of important things that need to be discussed as well that pertain to football players. So which number two. This was way more lighthearted And I feel a lot of people shared with me. I just wish the NFL draft was here already. Now I know that that's sort of silly but my goodness I don't think I've ever been itching for a draft more than I am right now and it's not because you know. Oh my gosh look how. Many great players is going to be the best draft class ever. It's just because of the lack of sports right now and I know that I think there's going to be a lot of hype around this draft just because it's something to watch. We might see the highest highest ratings on this draft. Ever because you know a lot of people are going to tune in because it's the first like real sports related thing we can watch That we haven't been able to in a long time other than that though I'm excited to see what teams go with their picks. I'm excited for you. Know THE SHAKEUPS. The trees and always happen It's something I'm dying for this year more than ever and of course I hope my cheese draft a running back. I've mentioned that before but I just WANNA see Go on no matter. What IF CORONA VIRUS GETS WORSE THAN YOU know? They can't meet up together. I WANNA watch a virtual draft. I don't want it to be postponed or anything like that. I don't care go into a zoom classroom. Have the coaches draft from zoom? That's fine with me. Have all the draft prospect. Stay home doesn't matter to me. I just I you know we just need this. I'm my wish would be. I wish for it to hurry up and get here but of course. I wish I had to stay. You know not be postponed. Stay where it is. Of course no the public aspect of it That's fine being taken away. We don't need that But to just have that come in and sort of give us a break from all the bad stuff Would be absolutely wonderful. And of course you know chiefs drafting running back would also be great too but the move on to my last wish for for the day guys. I I wish for David Clowney to make it onto a team You know it's it's It's definitely been disappointing for him. he has not gotten the market at all that he was expecting it. He wanted twenty million dollars a season but recent reports have said that he's now asking for a lower price at seventeen million dollars a season and now there are some buzz around the Cleveland. Browns potentially signing Jadeveon clowney. So if you know the Cleveland browns end up getting jv on clowney law with myles Garrett Olivier Vernon that could be pretty frigging scary if the if if Excuse me if the browns Lange avion cloudy their defense is going to be pretty solid for fantasy football as well. You know a lot of the reason you they had you know not the greatest fancy football defense last season but their secondary is pretty pretty solid. Dens award is a standout corner He dealt with injuries last season. Their secondary is not too bad that myles Garrett Olivier Vernon you know miles. Gary of course was suspended for the entire season for you know what but they can return to form if they find out who they are. You know the offense gets back on track and they just stopped being the Cleveland Browns They can be a solid defense as well so my last wish would be for Judy. Van Clowney finally on a team. I think he deserves another shot. I don't think he deserves twenty million a year. I think it was a little bit crazy for that one but he has potential And maybe you know being on the Cleveland. Browns could help them. You know not be the browns anymore. So that's my final wish for the day guys. I know I kinda rush through the last two there because the first one was pretty long but as always I want to thank you guys for tuning in to the GMC fantasy football podcast brought to you by the GMC podcast network. Gaza went assiduity review. Or do you know. Just a comment. Let us know how we're doing for doing bad or doing good? Everything helps but of course. He respectful and constructive. "And sixty yards that fifty three yard touchdown reception Russell Wilson three twenty five and that score Pete Carroll says no shock the Wilson played so well as his club one seventy nine that was really beautiful football and and that's we rescued you know we give you those extra shots in any found tonight came through some **** when you hear Russell Wilson talk after the game on the field I don't know if you saw it he sounds just like Pete Carroll that like the the the same type of personality engine is coach right and says all the right things and gives credit to is offense of line to his wide receivers that haven't Marchand mansion turbine back on the team I mean just the just heads every single note that's going to be a great game yeah I would agree I know hi I would like the Vikings chance a lot better if they were going to Lambeau this instead of San Francisco but that should be a really really fun game between those two and it's least Vegas is got a predicted as the closest of the for this weekend coming up Marshawn Lynch did have a short touchdown run on this game Carson once left in the first quarter with a concussion it by Judy van Clowney so Josh McCown played one eighteen of twenty four hundred seventy four yards could get the theme of the end zone and with the emotional after the game yes and the two years so when there's no winds around why from my family moved around a lot and then there's a lot been there for me and so mom and dad in and out so to go out there to play in a playoff game in special foot I these made fifty five million dollars yeah yeah I'd be crying too tears of joy yeah that tie I he is a guy who cares right he does care of course he cares H. is the what the hell's he does some day I am when you search high school football right now would be left to do no he's on TV now while he was cut it was on TV and coaching high school and Charlotte so I I have a feeling somebody will harm I don't know how many kids he has and everything but is credited with each step a credit to the NFL there's no question about it and is exactly what you know if the jets had him this year they were kept them they probably would've losses many games as they did when you know one all of them yeah but I'll send Arles out right maybe they win one or two old ways that they would have that would they would have a chance recount gets her a lot too though in miles Garrett when he folded Trevor Simeon into a pretzel with ever Josh McCown he would have been you know right back on ESPN in a wheel chair probably the next week here's Doug Peterson the feeling for our winds that for I did write a brief this on and then in the dresser messing it head injury likely concussion as we know never came back out and so yes seventy nine Seahawks advance take on Green Bay meantime Vikings over the saints in overtime twenty six twenty the game winner Kirk cousins to Kyle Rudolph yours cousins who was asked do you feel any relief now you want a significant playoff game officially the question but you know and I'm just really want a playoff game you know I I just do my part we won the game today because we played great defense we got no he's right the defense was tremendously sack drew Brees five times they pick them off forced a fumble there was drew Brees yeah but he's a he's being humble which is nice sure and I appreciate that from him but you know those two throws forget about the the pass interference thing for a second but you know that the throaty feeling yeah and that was a great catch too and that throw to route offer things he has not done in him and runners moment words for you teammates I think really like come to an end the way they responded to that after that was after the game in the locker room by you like that on right there like that yeah like that out I like that but I was gonna say it was a great job by Kevin so fancy their offense coordinator knowing that the starting corner for the saints one down on the play before it that the long for the Phelan that was the backup corner playing field on on that particular play yeah and they were making too much of a deal on a staff digs not getting targeted so what this does not help young yeah I know but he was thrown is how one on the side but like a baby yeah he's got he got frustrated I just that is why I make it a big deal out of it yeah I guess he's not the on to this is first step dating for anybody else as he does have a target he's not the Andre Hopkins not Julio Joe he's not one of those guys good receiver but it's not like he was like all my god I can put Steph digs does have a target they got a they got I mean to gig they got him into it by a couple of our reverses yeah bite bad men also makes a couple key catches you know it's all right I mean you know that you the one thing I will say about that team if they don't have the deep a wide receiver he wants to be one I didn't really member earlier in the season he was like out for a couple of he was missing this is the end up finding a man but I know he does that he's got some diva tendencies you know yes I know it doesn't but I don't see him as like like like the operational mode wide receivers like you're saying like this they have really good wide receivers they don't have the upper echelon wide receivers and and maybe that's maybe that's going to help them win here you know who knows Minnesota San Francisco this weekend Titans in Texans one on Saturday as we know some sound from that post game and I have all of the Bella check from yesterday morning next hour here's Logan right of the Titans I guess Kyle van Noy was talking about how they lost to them in two thousand eighteen and this is where the toward begins we start making amends for past failures Logan Ryan's essentials this ram that or is it just almost class are like my god in store just play ball I'm sorry to see you know is he's on a revenge store when I started I'm saying all right away the pages which operate as well he did Derek can we talked about the win he had himself a monster game uses was tough on us we like to own an easy one agree didn't want to dirty and notice about the mentality that I have got themselves a thirty where he carried the ball thirty four yeah man hi good day he'll see you know he'll see another really good defense this week in Baltimore but man that's a lot of Russians last two weeks you know this is one of these things are so used to watching football on TV and whatever but if you ever see Derrick Henry in person and think about this guy running full speed common right action and you're the guy that's the tackle and by the way a second round draft choice so he's finishing his fourth year meaning that he is an unrestricted free agents of Tennessee it's got some big questions down there because Ryan Tannehill is an unrestricted free agent that can only franchise one that means you know a guy like Derrick Henry could be on the open market now I think you'll probably eclipse levy on bell's numbers going up his alley right but I think I think you probably stay with the Titans don't you yeah he's been it's been a great match between the two but it's gonna be a lot of money a lot of money as a running back in you know they don't like pain running back I did good news for him is like in in same thing FOR D. K. Metcalf are you know make a lot of money your first couple years because you weren't drafted in the first round but you can get to your second contract a lot quicker if you're not drafted in the first round and decay med cap you know is going to be get his contract a lot faster and now is so is there a cannery he doesn't have to go under that you know that final fifty year team option tag teaming now for it's time to part ways why has now patriots was there with a Tom Brady where is he going to retire I would say it's pretty unlikely but yeah hotel likely just depends on where he's going to be and that is the big question now Texans with one of the bills in overtime de Andre Watson I had that I was not harmed yeah Watson today amazing play at the end the show on the also Charlotte's I'm sorry and the Andre Hopkins wrong right play now talking about the play that he made at the end he was as to be if he saw every was running down the field what was the deal ray played out that play that's one of the best quarter video that reminded me of you lie in the in the playoffs or the Super Bowl against going on when I got out of rituals like he was about down the field to Tyree I mean this this thing was unbelievable I mean he should've been sacked right yeah section six so that would have been probably what third and twelve my third fourteen where he was set piece spawn at the exact right time the religious you guys basically picked each other off one guy came free the D. B. came free I mean there was nobody walking yeah I mean that play in in the his run for the touchdown in the two point conversion that that was all him yeah all him and they have a Josh Alan who I'm sure by ruled that blind side block because water line around real all that was terrible what about the what what is he doing when he throws the ball I said I swear that dad dad franchise when when you've got a team like the Buffalo Bills in there like the team in town everybody's talked about their lack of playoff success that I've been so stupid but I think the whole team that whole team from Sean McDermott down and Josh out especially were starting to feel that as the game was slipping away like this is another one of these moments for this guy would you accept that if you don't get that stupid flag called they win the game yeah but a lot of stuff the panic with the fourteen twenty seven that they went for when ray had older China play right there I need just they were it just to the door but as I am and you guys can truly understand what I'm gonna say here but when you're on the road in an NFL game in the mall and the home team grabs the momentum the way that Houston did there in the second half and your second year quarterback you you have never ever felt what that feels like you got to fight your way through it and hope we don't make a mistake and for the most part he did and he got him back to where you know look they they could won the game but they didn't he just got a little hectic there for about ten minutes once when he was a player on his play in the the the ravens at home and he couldn't hit a pass because he gets the it's all fired up and hectic and this is part of the refinement of a young quarterback so he'll now know what that feels like and next year he'll be better for it you'll be a much better quarterback next year which is scary for jet bands because he was pretty good this year ravens Titans Saturday night and then of course on the early game Sunday will be the chiefs and the Texans the cowboys did finally announce the Jason Carroll not be back in bears right guard Kyle long and on Sunday he was retiring after seven seasons Nick's rally to take on the clippers they lead early by a lot trailed late by a lot in the end didn't have enough Williams in the corner Farid back the Herald Herald he's got thirty three that is Mike Breen on image Gee he had thirty four points Lou Williams at six three C. at the thirty two both of those off the bench Paul George thirty two clippers beat the next one thirty five to one thirty two RJ Barrett twenty four in the Los uses what can you do back and forth my sitting around so we.

"Build this football team because all those years when the defense was the stronger of the two units on their team yeah they were getting in the playoffs but were they really contenders. When you talked about getting getting to a super bowl and the answer was no right. They had to get better on offense. They had to get stronger. They had to increase and improve the quarterback back production brian hoyer of the world the brock osweiler's of the world it just wasn't getting it done for them and bill o'brien knew it and now they have to shawn john watson and watson has shown that you know what he's more than capable they've given him weapons at wide receiver they brought him another one here in kenny stills and they wanted to make sure they could keep them upright right than anything else and that's why they made the tunnel move and now when i look at the houston texans okay and i know they lose lamar miller to they've tried to piece it together. They made the move to bring in carlos hyde here just to add some depth to running back. I get it but if you're looking at the houston texans right now if you ask me clearly. I think that shift has already happened to where you're looking at more of an offensive first team and i think that's how you have to be. I think that's how you have to be and moving away from today's van clowney and moving on from him. I think also add some testament to that as well aided eight say e._s._p._n. Is a telephone number. Let's say how to poland jacksonville paul. You're on the stephen a smith show well. Hello hello there mr how you doing so ball well. I'll tell you what now the j._v. and cloudy saying <hes> y'all even you know. Even though i'm living here in in jacksonville i could care less about this division. Yeah i agree. "Hunter. Henry is already already gone but our paradise hunter henry if he were still there in round eight yeah definitely definitely vance <hes> for me. Willfuller is another one sammy watkins. This is also in this conversation wide receiver three slash wide receiver four picks that have high end wide receiver to upside will fuller has eleven touchdowns over his last sixteen. Ah sixteen games <hes> we know that the texas are going to have to throw the ball a lot more this year because of their schedule <hes> kiki hugh t we have no idea what his injury the status as their lead running back now as pass catching back into johnson so naturally they're going to be more pass oriented than they have been in recent years ears sammy watkins if you look at the eight games where he played at least thirty snaps last season he was a high end wide receiver to he was really good in the playoffs. He was good when he was healthy. You know and there have been some rumors some trade rumors involving tyree kill have you have you picked up on this. I saw benjamin albright like replied to somebody with like you wouldn't believe who's on the trading block at wide receiver in eligible speculated that it could be tyreek hill yeah and it's more than than benjamin albright. It's <hes> daniel jeremiah. <hes> is an i like michael. Lombardi on his latest podcast was talking about a big time wide receiver that no one would even believe would be on the trade market. He didn't say tyreek hill so not putting words in his mouth but tyree kill is in a contract year or is entering a <unk> contract. You're next year i think and they talked about doing an extension gene with him and then the field staff kinda you know kind of like rain its course and then you know it's like. I don't think he would be a surprise if he was traded to. The big rumor would be tyreek hill for judy van clowney. That's been a big rumor but i not saying i put stock in but the chiefs did trade up for me cole hardman and what is co hartman don and training camp at the preseason bold out yeah okay and they spent a ton of money on sammy watkins so sammy watkins i think is a value pick right now regardless of the tyreek hill situation and boy what but he skyrocket if the chiefs did end up trading tyreek hill and seeing watkins becomes the odds on favorite to be the number one receiver in the best damn offensively i. I played nicole harmon abundant preseason dude as a baller man. I mean he's just and yeah. It's against second third stringers but i mean he's just clearly so much faster than everybody else on the field. That's wild okay. Let's go to round nine. I have a wide receiver. I like here particularly. If i go rb heavy early marquez valdez scanning we know the athleticism is there. We know we've in chemistry where some chemistry with aaron rodgers already. I think he's gonna play every snap and drama. Alison will come in three sets and play in the slot so it's just just a perfect situation for vowed scanning to come in there in this new scheme and play with a really good quarterback in aaron rodgers just an athletic guy in a good situation. I think it's hard to go wrong there around nine <hes> jabbing around nine yeah n._b._a. Scrape pick dante pettis a._d._p. Has fallen into the ninth round and yet do an up and down camp in preseason. Kyle shanahan has called him out multiple times in the media <hes> they played them into the fourth quarter of their third preseason season game you i'm willing to buy him in the ninth round for sure because i still firmly believe that he's the favourite to lead the forty niners wide receivers in targets and again an amazing player with the ball on his hands. He scored nine return touchdowns in his college career that has had a predictive effect on <hes> receivers in the n._f._l. Just being good with the ball in their hands odell beckham was a great return specialist in college t y hilton was green great return return specialists in college. The show jackson dez bryant was an amazing punt returner at oklahoma state antonio brown the list goes on and on <hes> just it's it's a t. y..

"Dr. Jon Murphy, and Steve Tasker one buffalo studio joining us on the line. We're going to keep reviewing and talking about the draft last weekend. We've got Doug Farrar online NFL writer for USA today is the author of the book the genius of desperation, former Sports Illustrated dot com, NFL writer, Doug, Farrar. Doug, Jon Murphy, Steve Tasker here in buffalo. How are you doing today? Good. How are you? Guys. Got really good loved your piece on just read it this morning on bills first round draft pick and Oliver. You say not only is that a good pick. It's a I think you describe it as essentially a perfect fit. And you think Oliver could be better with the bills, and he was even in college. Right. Yeah. When you I mean, it's interesting the more. NCAA teams are facing spread offenses with the wider field. And you know, receivers spread horizontally all over the place or playing more three French you get a lot more schematic misfits with defensive linemen and last year Houston played at Oliver, six two and two hundred and eighty seven pounds sixty five percent at nose tackle. And so that was no shade. So it was head over knows like right over the center, and you watch games like Texas Tech with a quick pass a game. Like, oh and Oliver didn't get a single against Texas Tech. Well, he was three step drop pass a game. They were double teaming him frequently with a center in one of the guards, Anna running back chip, essentially, they were triple teaming. And because not only was Ed playing on a position. He didn't really have anyone else who was remarkable enough to more than single team was very encouraged to both son McDermott and Brandon Beane said right away are three tack. He's our Kyle Williams replacement. And when you watch Kyle Williams. And when you watch that elevator. There are a lot of traits. That are similar that. I think makes us a really excellent set for for Ed Oliver in buffalo. How do you think? Oliver will ever be. You know, does he have the potential to be approachable perennial pro level player in all pro player. Well, when I did my top fifty I had Ed Oliver as the first that has the best defensive player in this draft class. I had him number two overall behind Kyle Marie and part of my is you in calories. The top overall player was positional value. I think when you look at traits and things that are transferable to the NFL level. I would argue that there is no one more able to be a transcendent player just based on physical ability than had Oliver. The question is now can you be a Pro Bowl, or well, where are you going to put him, and again, when you know, Brandon being came right out and said, you know, Houston played him here. We're gonna play him here. And at Oliver said, yeah, they're looking for a Cavalier's replacement and now as going to watch Kyle Williams tape, and I think he's going to see a lot of himself in Kyle Williams because as you guys know in six one three hundred pounds and Kyle Williams. Worked his technique and his understanding of leverage into more power than you would expect from a guy his size. Okay. Williams was not usually directed to. Hey, engage with the guard, or you know, soak up double teams his job, especially late in his career is like finally open gap. We'll get the quarterback he had kinda seen frenetic sort of style. So if you, you know, for any bills fans who want to see, you know, go watch Oliver against army or against Texas Tech retaking the center, and there's one play against Texas Tech where he got he was credit for a tackle for loss. He pushed the left guard into the running back. He created a tackle for loss with the left guard is an instrument again as far as traits and attributes I don't think there's any question at elder has pro potential. It's the systems and how he's used worries us. And I think in that regard. He is he could not. Possibly be in a better place as opposed to several oh, you know, Houston placement knows? So we'll do that. I mean, I think that he just get lost read at the bulk up, and he loses speed which by the way his speed off the ball is equivalent to a top ten edge rusher. Like not von Miller because Miller's, you know from outer space, but if you were to look at a say, Judy van clowney and look at Oliver just burst off the snap to and through the pocket. I think it's comparable. So he comes with a lot of special attributes that were misused in my opinion in college. And I'm just I'm very encouraged that being during these guys are saying, hey, we're gonna use them the right way, which I think they are. Hey, Doug, the thought occurred to me over the weekend after listening to the bills McDermott m being kind of tiptoe around this issue. I mean, they mentioned weren't gonna use them differently. They said than the Houston Cougars did and it thought occurred to me what what was Houston thinking was that how they had to use? Were they locked into some schematic system that they really needed him to play, you know, on the nose, or what happened there, do you think why wouldn't they use it? Whereas most effective, well, they played them all over the place. And again when you've got three and four man lines. And you don't see a lot of line. Because in college teams, you know, they're throwing a nickel and dime sets out there. They're just trying to keep up with Aaron in different spread concepts. Yeah. So I think what they were trying to do say, let's put our most impactful player, right? Over the center. They were kind of using him. We were said before you wouldn't use Kyle Williams to soak up blocks. Yeah. Right. That's kinda what Houston was doing with, Ed. And so he was playing sixty five percent either. No, shade one tech between the center and the guard or head over knows you played over twenty percent three tech. And which I believe is where he was most impactful. Here's an interesting thing that I think something to bills can use that more than Houston. Did he played seventy eight percent? Sent at end either five CAC or just, you know, a base edge guy. I think again with his with his first step burst. His ability to go around the edge. I mean, if you look at Aaron Donald with the Rams the Rams will use Aaron Donald at times as a pass rushing defensive end. And I believe you put Aaron Donald is end for every plane not you would want because he's the best three tech in the world. But he could get ten to twelve sex outside. I think at Oliver over time has you know, I don't know about ten to twelve sacks. But he can disrupt from anywhere on the line. And I I think Houston philosophy was we're just gonna have everyone go to Ed in the middle. And hope we can you know, pick things up around him. And we talked also about the second round draft pick, Cody Ford who and you said that the bills did a nice job of getting more athletic on both sides of the ball. It's interesting because people talk about when you draft defensive lineman offensive lineman. They don't use the word more athletic as grip Shen. Explain what you mean. Well, certainly not at the app lettuce is with Oliver just I mean, it's it's clear if you're if you're you're you're watching this tape, you're not seeing athleticism. You're watching the wrong tape, and you go back on YouTube and look up something else as far as Cody Ford. He's played both guard and tackle in college. And the guy I compared him to when I was doing my top fifty. And I spent a lot time on player comparisons. You know, height weight speed basic usage and the guy compared Cody forty was Colucci assembly who started with the ravens played tackling garden. Now is one of the best guards in the NFL at the ravens. And I believe the bills have set, and you would know this better than I would I believe that those who said we're going to use them to tackle. And if that's the case he's kind of a developmental guy. I believe right now there are two guys him and Johnny Williams who was taken by the Bengals I think each of them could be top ten yards in their rookie seasons just based on their attributes. But you're putting code. Ford outside tremendously athletic player and amazing strength to what you're gonna run into in the early days is, you know, a lot of less experienced offensive tackles there kind of wide in their past that they're not consistent with their lower bodies and their leverage and things like that. But over time, you know, they may start them at right tackle, I think he has the athleticism to be a perfectly serviceable left tackle that just might take a couple of years rather nine with Doug Farrar NFL writer for USA today sports. Former sl dot com NFL writer overall, you you had good grades for the Mosey game in a for their draft. Doug, mostly because you think they didn't focus on primarily offense or primarily defense. They kind of looked at the big picture here. Well, they had a great free agency hall. We know this. And then they went and relooked at guys who could help them overall one guy. I'm really intrigued by and I think could do. I you know, when you look at what the what the bills did. They got a lot of guys who could do better in the pros. Then in college Dawson Knox who I believe they moved up to get out of Mississippi in the third round. No, he he was a teammate of decay met caption that play everyone talks about with Metcalf is the seventy five yard touchdown against Alabama. Right where he just beat his cornerback death. Well, if you watch that play the only reason Jordan, Tom who had the time to make that throw was the guy making the crucial backside block, and that was Dawson knocks Dawson Knox is one of the best pass locking ends in this draft last one of the top three. And when you look at just overall usage with that Mississippi team, it was a little weird. And I believe being has alluded to this. I think Knox has more potential as a receiver in the NFL. He never scored a touchdown in college. I believe he does have some explosive abilities. He kind of ramp up. Speed not explosive right off the snap. But this is a guy who can integrate into the offense for well. And they're gonna want to get him on the field for his blocking alone. So that's another guy think, you know. Third round interesting. We'll see what happens. Devon single Terry out of Florida Atlantic. You know, undersized guy a lot of good movement a little bit, you know, kind of shady McCoy type not to put him in that, you know, category just yet. But he's another one of those allusive backs who can come in. You know, do those types of things pretty quickly as we get further and further away from the draft while we're still while their names are still fresh on our minds, I'm gonna go back and ask you about some of the more prominent guys were taken in this draft and get your take on them like guys like Cuyler Murray. And also, I want to ask you about an Akil Harry. No offense, some of the guys that and you know, hocken hocken send the tide it out of highway. It's been so long. It's been a week. And I haven't had. These guys names on material my tongue since the bills got their draft class together. But what about some of these more prominent names in this draft? Are there any good fits or bad fits of the ilk? That you're talking about with that Oliver and the bills I think we'll calorie what exactly the right place 'cause cliff kings Kingsbury as a college coach had been coveting Cuyler. Maurice's customer was like fifteen years old tried to recruit him out of high school. And we'll we'll put together. He Cl kings Mary's always he's already said, and this is so crucial when it comes to quarterback snaking college to NFL transition that he's gonna take a lot of Lincoln Riley, the Oklahoma head coach Lincoln rallies concepts for five wide different RPO concepts. And of course, Kingsbury is is very good with that as well. Great quarterback developer had you know, he had Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes at one point not bad. So I think that's a really good fit. Mikhael Harry is a really interesting guy..

"Show. That is no music return. A well high air me a favor. Merits sing. Next time. We come back. I mean me some tunes. Someone sing the weekends for made for Glennon raping may. When they when they when they proposed that weekends are made for Glenn array, which is to the tune of Michelob. I said that's people are going to hate that. That's that's awful. But I think it's one of those things now, it's almost like you, watch Seinfeld. Okay member. There's one episode where George says people I just get in people's minds. They can't get off stanza. Yeah. I think that's that song, especially when sludges thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's pretty classic. Let's get a couple things. Oh, yeah. Natty does never weekends are made for Glennon. Ray? You're the program, and let's get an expert. Couple of calls. And then we'll tell you some of the other things we got on the agenda. But if people are waking this time of day, we wanna talk to them son sunny is that your name son is short for sun. One is an acronym for something you'd never witnessed now. Wow. That's a hell birth certificate. You must have. Here's actually a stage name. I just said I figured it'd be Gotcha. First all happy new year. Man, you too. Thanks, man. So I had to I really gotta quit was a couple of days. I wanted to say what you just one thing. I was concerned with someone watching Houston game. Right. And we see our mad. They go down in the fourth quarter. Right. The good old such fell comes in. So I'm thinking to myself me, and my brother's sitting there watching the gate. What happens gossip gossipy? Sale was the cold down. Cool becomes the quarterback who is emergency. Now. It was Trey Burton when he was here. You know, who it is? No, I don't is be Mitch still available. Trey Burton, and hey, we got to see what he can do in the Super Bowl. We'll we'll Google and find out who the eagles emergency quarterback is this year. Would it be accurate? Yeah. That's what is referred to as the hurt. At one point. I actually thought it was Jalen mills, I'm not making that up. But he's well, he's not playing either. So all right. Yeah. Nelson. I think it is. I think it's Nelson Aguilar. Okay. All right. Well, that's good to know about. We never ever have to find. I know I know man, just don't cross my mind. Like, wow. Would that be crazy belts Nelson through the first Phillies special this year? Yeah. He did. Pretty go go. Yeah. Man. Hey, man. Listen, man. I'll go I really wanted to go back. Right. Nearly man. I did a year married by stay positive for the year. Thank you all for taking my call. You have a good one. All right. You take care. They will that Phillies special was done twice last week in the NFL and something like a dozen times this year happens every week. And it's unstoppable. It is defended unless Tom Brady drops it there's no way to defend that pass. I know eventually someone's gotta stop it. Right. It's like it's like the the wild house. Yeah. Figure it out. And then it disappears. Yeah. That on the eagles quarterback. Maybe that was it. That's the ultimate play. That's the statue. I want. I know they put the statue of Nick foles out down at the stadium, which it's it is a sponsored beer, nothing and spirits, but this here's this is the sculpture that I would love to see Bill. I wanna sculpture that has life size or even bigger eight to ten feet of all of the guys in the Philly special at a certain point on the play. So I wanted to be you know, over here on the five yard line. You see Corey Clement, and he's kind of tossing the ball. And then you see Trey Burton kinda, you know, half in a run to get it and Nick foles drifting out to the right? You can put it somewhere in the plaza. Work out of work. These sculptures are great. This is artwork respect art son somewhat. I don't get why the already six hundred six didn't take long then come on, man. I start talking about Hanky. I think it would be I think that would be that's the sculpture I want that's the that's if you're going to recognize that Super Bowl you need a sculpture that Super Bowl. Do we agree that the current one? They have a full talking to Doug Peterson. Ain't it met goes away. Right. Is it is there forever? I don't know. There's a beer ad. Right. Okay. So you need a permanent sculpture the Super Bowl. Right. Okay. What do you got mine? The spot. The Jason Kelsey Mummers parade. That might be an bad. 20-foot-tall Jason Calcio. Do you think he makes it out today, by the way? Yeah. He's gotta make it. Yeah. I think he does he shows up with a Mummers with the clarinet. I mean, he he does everything man. I know you name it. And he might be one of those guys. We'll be talking about next year that might have an opportunity come back. You think man, he he has one more year left? We still having a good season. I know man, but he's probably gonna be making a little over eight nine million. I don't care. Well, here's why I don't care. I think Jason Peters is going to be gone. I think so too. But that's still think you're you're still unsettled at that guard position. So Kelsey sign twenty twenty. Okay. Yes. And what does it goes two years he signed nineteen and twenty. Manny's watering and he's playing well. And again, you have to offense of line positions that you got to figure out you got Elaine Johnson. You got Brooks. You're you're fine. You got Kelsey. I get three fifths of a line. I don't know if my left tackle is going to be is it Vitali is melodic gonna be somebody. I can count on do. I have to draft oncein one. We need to draft hide off his line again. Okay. Definitely need to. All. Right. And and like I said my lot of still intriguing from what I saw in a preseason. I see great Danes with him. I mean, he's learned and not the football aspect of it. You know as far as the plays. But this is what he's learned. He learned his body. As an office officer lineman. He was a rugby player. He's now. Learn the. The the finite stuff is force push poll leverage, whereas bodies supposed to go. What is objective of worries blocking a guy? Those are all things that he didn't know about. Sure, he now understands the point of contact how he has a himself and take on the block those are things. He just now learned. Yeah. But he's also got an injured back which worries me more than Carson Wentz is injured back because you know, better than any of us and offensive lineman's worse than you could. Right. So that's that's worrisome. So I think they got picked out a guard. You you could they'll find a guard. Yeah. I mean, I bring him was new ski back is fine. I'm okay with that you cheap too. Yeah. That's fine. I don't know. I saw vita against today van clowney. And I was like I think they need a different. I think I need attack. Yeah. That's a battle is a whole lot of people. They need left it. Yeah. For sure let's talk to Ed you're on ninety four w at peak morning. Add you too now. Trouble things real quick it out notice about. For the law firm of Sullivan Sullivan. Are willing type with the parents of Darby, Jalen hill. Jones that's been a major key. Young guys that make the tackle gear. Long catches. But they're getting you guys on the bro and Lebanon yard. I agree there in there. But it's is great. But at this point, we have a cornered as leading the team at tackles the past four games. Russell Douglas led the team in tackles now that saying they're picking on him, and he has the tackle. Or is he making plays like he's a safety is he really a safety net can go up and tackled. I mean that that's what I've been worried about. I think he's been nothing a box a lot to mountains. Been more coverage all like duck analog third now sweeping up a lot. I don't know. Like you said. Or boxes sleepy. But also, I noticed you got Michigan. What the defense of y. Especially Fletcher doing this run. W played that I've gotten all the notoriety. We've been up playing Churchill, and that's been a major key. Well, it's supposed to be the reds Houston. That's been the biggest thing that's been. The biggest reason why this team is elastic success. Yes, foles has been integral as forces team believe in him as a quarterback. But the biggest thing that defensive line is out played they'll pose a defensive line. He played better than than Donald can sue. And and and and Aaron Donald they played better Geneva county and watt and this week they're going to have to play better than you know, back and also, you know, those guys. So I mean, we're talking about a defense that they're gonna play this this week just as lethal know Hicks is a Pro Bowl this year Khalil Mack. You know, you got guys who can rest the passer Leonard Floyd. He's the he's the rush on the outside when they go into their their third down. So is imperative that this divas line. I'll play those guys also you were suggesting that if they're gonna beat Chicago. They can't beat them with the strategy that they just used last week in Washington. Yes. So I mean foles last week the the complete. In percentage was great. I mean twenty five straight completions twenty eight for thirty three. And it was very Sam Bradford. It was cute. He was horrible. I don't think he can do that against the bears because I think the bears are too fast site aside or to physical, and I think if you're gonna if you're gonna beat a bears defense at home, you gotta get some place down the field because the digging duck stuff just won't work. And I was watching the game. It kind of felt how the eagles play defense against the Rams offense. When they get everything in front of them. They didn't let Jared Goff beat them deep and ultimately took him out of the game. I'm hoping that they find a way to take more shots down the field open it up a little bit. I think they're going to struggle to run the ball. I I gotta be honest. It feels like they need a foles NFC championship game level performance. That's. And I kind of think opposite of that. No. And the reason I say that because when we started pushing the ball down the field, it's only a product of a running game. And if we can't run the ball, I don't want to push the ball there because you need max protection. Especially when you have Russia's pass rushers on the outside like that. And when you're pushing a ball down the field, you have to keep extra blockers was going to alleviate some of the pressure. You can put on that defense on the guys on the outside would alshon. And and all the other guys that we have out there that we would save you a viable threat on the outside. I think if they don't keep a consistent kind of like what they did against Lanta. I'll Atta that's what this year last year. And this a year's Atlanta when he won the game this year. Yeah. Dick and don't keep the keep the chains. Moving keep the ball in our hands as opposed to keep it in their hands. We hold the Balka Sicily, keep them, Tom possession on our side. I think it favors us more. So than having them. Go out there. And you know, they're running back Jordan Howard's player, man. I'm kinda I'm kinda with Jack I want that foles magic. But then put the ball deport ball admits to Bisky says all right, Mitch Trubisky. Doesn't worry me Tarik Cohen. He's he's a threat, man. He wants he will route just as good as sproles. Well, good thing. They took out then I'll pump free instead of him. Darren sproles replacement and there is a dentist throws replacement. Jericho? I I mean, I get all that. I think that a a cautious conservative game plan is what's going to get you in trouble. I'm kinda with Jack. You're just let her all rip. But it's not cautious. The reason why. The reason why this office I've take has been been very successful. Is they take what the defense is giving him? That's what falls does both takes with the defense gives them. And if the gift is given him the short pass he takes that keeps the chains moon if they allow him to take the ball down the field. He'll take advantage of that. That's what makes them good. I think Carson tried to push too much and try to make too much out of something when he could have just took the simple. Drop off to to to to sprawls on the outside or small wood on the outside kind of like what happened against, you know, the Panthers take with the defense gives you keep the plane changed moving and that and it's not like they're designed to place. I hear ya. Go ahead. Well watching watching the Vikings game. It looked like that was basically the Vikings. They're they're trying to think dump their way up and the first three possession to his three and out three and out three now with with Kirk cousins. I don't know I I'm just worried that I think the bears defense is too good. And to keep everything in front of you. I'm worried that that's going to come back and bite them on. We're gonna hit a break here. Coming up. We're going to tell you how you can win. We got some good giveaway. Say Brandon Graham, eagles jersey, that's pretty nice. Sure. If you give the best answer, I'll consider a fifty dollar gift you to give it to Fleming's prime steakhouse wind Radnor and a pair of tickets to see kiss the end of the road tour who's a kiss fan here. I know of gene Simmons the name, right? Wow. A member. Kiss fan among us. I hear you call graph. Monty looks like somebody got. Got one of us has got to be an end of the road toward though these with these bands. Now, I think they always come back. This end of the road ends in a fork, and they're gonna go somewhere else. Now their end of the road four times to in about five years rock groups like old price-fighters they never retire. They're just, you know, take a year off and they'll come back and have another tour. I've been here since what ninety five and Bruce Springsteen things had his in the road tour Frank pass twenty years. Yeah. The stones though. Right. I have seen. The Rolling Stones perform live in five different decades wasn't all last door. What Keith Richards just turned what seventy five amazing, which means the ventriloquists that's moving his. Downing I've seen them in the seventies eighties nineties arts and intense. I'm fully expect. It's twenty eight twenty nine hundred excuse me. First mistake yet nineteen twenty nineteen another year. I'll see the stones..
