"The numbers are there in terms of what he turns into when he gets to that golf course Augusta, of course. And I will still continue to acknowledge this is a tough L for the eye test. And he does not look like he's hitting it. Better than he better than he was at this time last year when he was going on his little Cinderella run. Last year, the takeaway, the rehearsals, all that stuff. You got to just kind of close your eyes. But the numbers say that he's hitting it better this year than he is last year. Than he was last year. I don't think it says that for the whole year, does it? I mean, it sounds like in this lead up in the last like, I don't know what I forget the date range on what I saw was, but it's comparable or better to when he was going on that run from kind of the Phoenix open to Augusta last year. I do not think the numbers check out on that one. He was like, I can look that up for you, but I think this was kind of like, you know, we were searching for something and we found a little bit of something, because if you look at, I put together some charts in Sweden this out just like strokes gained numbers of all the top favorites and speed over the past three months only shows a .48 strokes gained and he was like two point something last year. And I think it was more like his approach. Sorry. Approach is a .44, which is good, not great. It's not like elite Jordan Spieth stuff, but who could say? I mean, how wild is it back to your point that both Tiger and Phil have one majors more recently than Rory Spieth and Justin Thomas? Yeah, I don't understand the concept of time. I truly don't. These guys might need their cards revoked. That's what I'm saying. If Tiger goes out there and competes, I'm taking cards. We got to do better than this, guys. I'm sorry. I think that's super fair. I think there's going to be some guys upset to hear that, but I think that's well within your right. Thank you. They might not like hearing it, but I think it's important. So the three months leading up and I don't think this counts this week, Spieth is .44 in strokes gained approach. Last year, he was 1.27. So he was blades and he was putting good last year. He was a, he was plus .48 on the greens, but that is not the case this time around. We're looking for, we're looking for the magic to come out and he's going to come in with lower expectations. I've talked myself into it. Rory MC, I'm struggling to see anything to get super excited about there other than his numbers do check out for the whole first part of the year. It doesn't feel like it in any way. I struggle to imagine he was struggling with his distance control and its approach play in general at Valero. I can't imagine that magically getting great at a place where you need to be a lot more precise with irons, but any reason to be hyped about Rory coming into this. I'm going to save that for the we could save that for the preview. Am I really vibing on his missed cut at the Valero Texas open? Like, no. I'm not. Okay. I'll jot that down. I didn't know where you were going to go with that. He's gone from, you know, he just can't win majors, but he's winning a ton on tour. Now he just doesn't win. And that's concerning. I think he, I don't like where this is headed. And I think it's early retirement. I think is pre round presser was interesting. Hearing him talk about like, I mean, he just in a great way was the same thing. We always talk about with Rory is like, keep talking. It's fascinating. I don't know that we've ever had it like a better window into a superstar's mind and I love hearing it, but it also just kind of drives me crazy as a Rory fan in that it seems like he's feeling a lot of things out there. You know, it's like, well, I don't want to, I don't want the match play to be my last thing before the masters, that's a completely different mentality. So I'm going to play I have to play stroke play. But like the masters doesn't. I'm not even thinking about the masters. I don't even think about it. But I definitely need to play here because in 2013 I came and played here and I actually got a lot of confidence from playing the Texas open. So I took that into August and I played pretty well. So this week, I'm really excited to be back. On where the same shirt too. And then he misses the cut. It's like, well, fuck, man. What's he feeling now? I don't know. I hope he just doesn't, I hope that he can walk away from this week and be like, well, you know, I did a lot of good things and let's go focus on it rather than just like, what am I doing? What am I doing? Last segment here, we're going to go our Callaway what's in the bag segment. We are going to go into big Randy's bag. You teased, gosh, we were excited to talk about the rogue pro irons. I didn't even know how good the big guy was hitting the rogue ST driver, but Randy got some new irons. I know I heard like all these things are sexy..

"The difference between the majors and the PGA Tour. And especially the PGA Tour trying to make the conundrum that they're in where they're forced to kind of try to treat every event the same and it's also impossible to do that. And trying to lump the Valero Texas open in with the players and all of these things. It just kind of shows how big that casm is. We talked about the fucking drive chip and putt before we talked about this event. And I don't know. It's tough. It's not that the old AT&T sugar loaf in Atlanta was that great of shakes or but I even thought that in the Houston open used to be right in front of the masters. I thought for whatever reason those fit better and this event at Valero and San Antonio just seems so random, which it just even feels more disconnected for whatever reason. I don't know if you guys feel that way too. Rory 5%. All the players always get asked, is this a good tune up? Is it not? And first of all, Roy played, which we didn't really well sort of. We didn't really talk about, but he talked about how a lot of the surrounds. Again, I think it's a more interesting golf course than it probably gets credit for, but he talked about how a lot of the surrounds are actually kind of similar to Augusta. Obviously it doesn't look like it, but the way that the wind plays there, it just kind of turns all these greens into from small greens into like really, really, really small landing zones, which kind of should hypothetically sharpen your iron game. And so I think there's some Augustus stuff to take from it. It's just when there's the LPGA major and we've got Augusta next week. It's just going to keep getting bumped down and down after WGC. Right. Shortly after the players, yeah. To take nothing away from JJ spawn. Cool, cool win, and that's where it's like, these winners just get put in kind of a weird, a weird situation. Like, of course, it's a PGA Tour win. It's still a great field. There's great players in the field. It's it comes with a two year exemption. He gets into the masters. There's all these things. It's just this kind of weird that doesn't come with any kind of fanfare, you know? Yeah. The thing I was going to say about JJ spawn that I think is kind of fun is he's one of those guys that, again, as the top of the world gets so much deeper and better it seems, right? Like when that top ten just is so good and so fun to talk about and so easy to focus on. It's fun every now and again when you have a guy like this win that you kind of can zoom out and see these macro like year long trendlines, right? Where I think at this time last year he was like 5, I wrote down what was it? Like 5 58 in the world and just nothing but respect for the people who just kind of like slowly when you zoom out on data golfer on the OW GR website or whatever. And you can just kind of see them like slowly ticking their way up up, up, up, up, up, up, and finally paying off with a win. That's part of the Tapestry of golf as well. So good for good for him. How you're gonna make solly cry four times? He's one of the, I guess what I'm getting at with all this, 'cause I'm trying to find these guys when I'm making picks each week, right? And I need to be noticing, oh, T 7 Bermuda. Oh, T 16 at sea island. Oh, T 16 at pebble. He'd got a bunch of top 30s, he's been very consistent as JJ's spawn. It might pop one of these weeks. Not just totally miss it. Exactly. It's totally miss it. It is one of those things for me where it's like, I'm sure he's a lovely dude. I'm sure there's many great stories about him, but just a casualty of having like 250 of these guys that we're supposed to keep track of and I just don't know that if that is the case. And I'm sure that is felt by people that do not cover golf that is absolutely no reflection on him. It's just, man, it was tough to get excited about leaderboard and anything that was any kind of storylines that were developing there. That being said, we doing this? Was Pete? Are we doing it? Are we willing to ignore? Did you see the three months of data and just look at today's round? Obviously the staff that I saw, I saw a lot of them today that were very much. I felt like directed at me. Gained the most strokes on the field tea to green. Is that what it was? Or was it approach? That was his best approach round ever or something. Yes. 4.9 or something like that. No, 7, 7 shots. Approach, no, he was forced to must have been tied. See the green was like 7, yeah. Yeah. Horrible. More shots on the field tee green than he ever has in that stat today. And he also said, quote, this is the worst I've ever put it in a professional event. End quote. Love that. I'd rather have him striping it and it's kind of what I'm thinking. You flip over to I mean, he put it horribly, the guy wouldn't look it up last year. Guess who led the field in strokes in T to green at the masters last year, Jordan spliff. He was negative .88 in putting last year at the masters if he puts just decent he wins his fourth green jacket. That has no parallels this year. What are you talking about? And for him to be stripping, if he was putting good on those greens, I'd be, I wouldn't think that would translate over anyway. So whatever. Maybe he gets the hot putter. If you were hitting it good, I'm in all I needed was a little sign of life. I'm in. Jordan's basically going to win the masters. I'm into. I really think Spieth winning the masters is the best thing that could happen in the world to golf. Yes, yes. Absolutely. More than Rory went in the career Grand Slam. But gosh, there is, you know, those guys not really playing well and winning a majors in quite a while now. It just has zapped some of my. Interest in the PGA Tour. I need those guys. So yeah, I'm all in on speed because I want to be, I need to be at least I need it. I need it. I meant to look this up and I maybe can kind of build this out even more to expand past these three guys but between JT and JT doesn't really belong in this group because it's only got one. But JT's Spieth and Rory, none of them have won a major passage of 25. It's crazy man, which is, I believe that to be true. I think Roy won his British at 24 or 25. I'd have to look at it. That's right. Or PGA would have been its most recent one. But it was kind of wild. I think we were looking for any kind of sign of life..

"I'm in on this. I want to watch how this plays out. I feel like, yeah, like the Beau hostlers at the U.S. open as an amateur like fist pumping stuff that like when it's clear they're not going to win is I'm so in on that vibe, I think it adds another layer to it. Which again, it would be cool if there was a bunch more amateurs in the field, but alas. Shout out to Bruce. Brooks say? No, sorry. Well, sorry, real quick. Real quick with the pia babnik. You could say she's all in, because she shares a golf Saudi sponsorship with kokrak. That broke my heart. It did. I know. It did break my heart. I didn't see that till afterwards. I was rooting for the whole day. Oh, God damn it. Come on. Naka shibuno, this smiling Cinderella. Third round 77, only finished four shots back. I feel like this she had an excellent chance to win this golf tournament this past week. Celine booty with the top 5 as well, finished T four, as well as Lexi, who's kind of just she might be the female buoy. Can't sink her. She's just always there. She's not gonna win. So many people were people saying that out in bulb springs. Yeah, I was hearing it from everywhere. Yeah. Tears in their eyes coming up to me. She flirts at poppy's pod. She's the buoy. Yeah. It was cool to see destructible. Purnell Lindbergh, friend of the pod, made an ace, obviously a very extremely special place to her when in her first major there. And kind of on the last day, made an ace today number 5, which was fun for her. And then I mentioned it passing there, but Brooke say, one of our Stanford hitters, Randy that we met out in Palo Alto, skipping the envoy, showing up and finishing low am only amateur to make the cut. So good for her. I told you, man, I was watching her do that chipping contest. I was like, this Brooke, Brooks very, very good. Yeah, see, I mean, watching, it'll be in the video too a little bit, but that term, we're on, man, when she's on, she hits the ball nicely, just does not does not miss. So really fun weekend for her. If you allow me a couple guys, I want to nana Kurtz Matson, tie for 8. She is on a big heater right now. Playing some really, really good golf. I wanted to give her a shout out. Our young hitter, Madeleine saxton, 71, 70, 70, 71, just a very professional week this week for a tie for 13th. She her last 5 now major starts for the four of the 5 have been top 20 or better, so really happy. Big game hunter. Exactly, really excited where she's headed. And then she faded today, which was a huge bummer, but it was so awesome to see Annie park play well. She is one of my favorite people if anybody hasn't seen the wild world of golf with actually her and Madeline from winter park, I would highly recommend it. You know, for somebody that was really has been in the wilderness and searching and took some time off last year to really consider if she had the game to keep competing at this level, it was really, really awesome to see her play well and still finish tied for 25th, which I hope gives her a ton of confidence. Amen. Also a shout out to where did she end up? She must have had a tough, tough day. Gabby ruffles. Yeah, T 25. She has 74 today, unfortunately. Yeah, she got in on the strength of last year's performance. She's going to be an epson tour player. I mean, she doesn't have her LPGA card, but awesome week for her. It was up in the top ten for a lot of the tournament. But yeah, it could call there, so that is it from mission hills. Rumors. Oh no, no, we got one more thing to play. What's that? We got to go cup show over under. Oh, that's right. That's right. So just to level set, we did this, of course, with Nelly when she won, that was what KPMG. And I think the hottest take so far is 11 and a half from Neil from deal thought. Yeah, what's the over under? Is it 11 and a half for Nelly? Which I thought was a one or two high, maybe. For sure. For sure. Which I've said before we came on, I would give to take nothing away from any of the competitors. I think if Nellie's in the field this week, she built raises people today. Probably. I think cup show wobbled enough and nobody really tracked her down. I think Nellie was going to hunt her, so I would give Nellie one for today. Okay. Do you guys want to ad lib and I'll go ask Neil, what he thinks the over under is. He's downstairs. All right. That'd be great. Well, what factors do we need to take into this big? So age, age, of course. What major it is. So obviously cup Cho, this is her first major. You know, maybe some historical context. What's a great amount of majors to win in a career? Can we say trends in the women's game? There's an immense amount of depth. It feels like we're seeing less parity than we've ever seen. Exactly. What do we got? Got breaking news from downstairs. We have an official over under for Jennifer cup show. It is 7 majors. I hate it. And I have to take the under, I think. I know I hate taking these under, but I got to take it if it's a 7. Like two and a half would be. That's what I was going to say. Winning three majors is lost to shell out of majors. Lofty territory. Yet one and a half feels low. I know. I mean, just to put it in perspective, like Lexi has won one major. Brooke Henderson has won one major. It's hard to win majors. Obviously, Nelly korda has only won the one major..

"I feel like from his perspective, it would the worst case scenario would be to announce he's playing and then by Wednesday be like, yo, I just shot like 48 on the front, like I can't do it, right? So he can kind of come in this way, not having put a ton of pressure on himself to do it. Feel his way out and assuming all is good to go. He's going to do it. But he could get up there and be like, because right before, but it's also not like he's going to another planet. Like golf is golf on some level to where it's like he's not going to show up to be like 32 or 62 on the front 9. You know what I mean? Before Safeway back in 2016, whatever it was, he was getting ready to go. Like he was he was played 9 holes before getting ready to go play it. And he lost 6 or 7 balls in shot like 48 and withdrew from the tournament. So I think that's just kind of like, all right, I hit some balls of metals, but like I'm going to go hit some at Augusta and feel like can I hold the back right shelf on 6? Can I fly at the right number on 12? Can you start feeling your way around that? If you can kind of, I think he's kind of counting on getting back there. If this was like Brookline, there'd be no chance he'd be playing right now, I don't think if it was southern hills, don't think he'd be doing it, but look, I know this place. I know all the places I can miss it. I know where to hit it. I know how to do these shots. I've won this tournament 5 times. I might just give this a shot. I'm not taking up anybody else's spot. I can go all the way up to Wednesday and it doesn't really affect anything. That would be a sick take, though. If somebody was calling out Tiger for taking up a spot. I would be here. I was gonna say, it's pretty unfair to the first alternate. Richard bland. What if he's honing a par three trophy? Competition yet. I think he's not playing the part three. I think that's, I think he already announced that. I got to imagine he's not taken literally any more steps than he has to take. I think the weather forecast for Tuesday probably bumped him up, getting there a day earlier. It looks like Wednesday could rain some too. It looks just like some iffy conditions in general in the early part. It looks like it could be a cool masters a little bit on Friday Saturday. Sure, of course, subject to change. But again, maybe I'm caught up too much in the hype train, but I've made the promise to myself I'm not going to doubt him again. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to say, he's going to go mess the cut. I'm not going to do it ever again. 2019 changed that forever. If he does tee it up based on all accounts, there was an Evan priest tweeted that he hit every shot perfect on the range today. Fuck it, I'm in. I'll follow that. I don't care. I'm looking for a semblance of things. We'll do the fucking I'm in also on speed later. I'm tempted you with a heads up Spieth versus yeah, we're getting Tiger bet right now. At all Tiger bets should be off the board. We don't know what's gonna happen, but truly anything is possible. How did he get it? I had clean solly out right now with a Spieth and Tiger versus the field, but. It's been a great year, pics for you at this point. So at Mel's 19 two 30 said, how does he actually do? What are his expectations? Who does this benefit? Guys under the radar now Rory JT, does it change anything related to that? I don't think so. I don't think so either. You know, it's going to attract some attention for sure, but I don't think, I don't feel like anyone's really coming in with a huge target on their back this year more so than other years. But very, very open, which if it does, it feels like we obviously say that more and more as kind of the top player in the world mantle kind of gets passed around. But I don't know, I hope I'm preaching moderate takes, which is always good business. Yeah, that's a very bad business, but I think that, you know, hopefully we've moved past the idea of like, if he does go out and shoot 45 on the front 9, I hope people are just like, ah, you know what, man. Who cares? Yeah. Who cares? He's out there. He's having fun. Again, ever since he said that in his own press conference, whatever that was a couple years ago, like a hero, I think. We were saying, anything else in my career is like gravy to this point is kind of like, yeah, that's how I've been handling a lot of this stuff too. And that's where I'm kind of like, I'm not my massive Tiger fanboy days are behind me. I'm very happy to say that. I feel very confident about that. And it is truly like, if he plays, hell yeah, would love to watch. And if he doesn't, don't care, wasn't planning on it. I was excited about either. Plenty of other stuff to watch too. So it's all all upside. I don't buy that he'd be distracting or, you know, there's other great storylines going now. This is a fucking huge deal. If Tiger plays in this, this is, I mean, again, this wasn't even on my radar as of two weeks ago, because I was like, no, he's not going to walk a gust after almost losing his leg. Are you serious? Maybe we get the old course and now here we are. I'm stunned, so. Anything more to add big guy, you ready? You ready to move on from this one? No, people don't want my services. What about I'm wearing foot joys today? Anything on that? That's wild. I'm amazed how much people care about this or how fast that was noticed, I guess, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the leg, but I'm sure I'll be asked about that too. I think gear Twitter plus Tiger Twitter plus sneaker Twitter is that's a potent brew that we're really mixing up there. So mixing makes and gymnastics Twitter somehow and we got ourselves a stew. That's why I couldn't believe it when Randy set that over immediately. Did you guys see where foot joys? Oh my God. I can't believe this changes to everything for me. You know what I will say, rainy, and don't roll your eyes or if you do turn your camera off so I can't see you. I'm unsubscribed again from all the Charlie takes, but the idea of getting after seeing those two at the father son together. The idea of.

"And that Salesforce out there is seen as really going to help exact sciences. Cory, what is your next drill down? Let's look at Valero Energy. Valero trades in her vl O, shares rose today and they've gained 42% over the past 12 months. What's new with Valero? Big news out of a layer of layer, of course, not only has some gas stations that they manage and but they also very importantly, our giant refiner. And they've got some big operations on the Gulf Coast. They have begun restarting their St. Charles and Moreau refineries along the mississip river. That were shut down after hurricane item made landfall last month. Now you're thinking big dirty oil and gasoline. But really importantly, they're plant in Norco Louisiana that there's a joint venture with darling ingredients is one that interestingly, the St. Charles plant makes clean diesel, or makes renewable diesel. I should say, diesel made out of animal fats. On the leftover cooking oil and so on. And they do this stuff at great size. So what's interesting to me though is that they had to shut this thing down the last we heard from this company was in August before the storms hit. And what they had to say at that point was that they were rushing ahead to build yet another plant. Their diamond green renewable plant, they were going to build diamond green due to and diamond green three and yes, they were able to restart this plant, which the company announced yesterday in a press release. But they didn't say anything about how far they long and if it slowed down their development to develop more of this renewable diesel business that they were saying was really benefiting from the timing of it. They had gone out and bought steel before steel prices rose so much. They had room to build in shops because the room wasn't being used for anything else. The labor cost because they had an early mover advantage their labor costs were low in the gulf. Well, none of that stuff is true anymore. So I think this is one to keep an eye on. Let's listen to what their last earnings conference call. The senior vice president for alternative energy and project development spoke on that call, here's Martin parish talking about how they had these advantages in their favor in terms of timing with their diamond green or dgd green diesel plants two and three, which were soon to come online. One thing you have to remember now is EGD three is pretty much a carbon copy of DG D two. So that helps us. I mean, all the major equipment we changed a little bit, but just tweaks. So we had a lot of the engineering done sooner than you typically would have. Now obviously, we knew that when we funded it, but just getting out and the market while steel prices and everything were up. We kind of beat all that to the market. So we had placed orders before that happened. The delivery is good. I mean, the shop space is there and the labor situations really good on the Gulf Coast where we're building. So all those things and then just having experience we moved over experienced contractors from BG D two that had just built one of these units. So, you know, all the work, the structural work, concrete work, you know, structural steel is already going up. So we just got a really quick start out of the gates and we expect to be able to maintain that. So in a nutshell, that's it an experienced construction team and getting out in front of these price increases and shop space has been really good for us. Or it was really good for them. We'll see if it remains good for them. Again, one to keep an eye on because obviously the timing that was in their favor in late June may be isn't in their favor. Here going forward. Cory, what's your next drill down? I want to look at a struggling company that was once a high flyer in Casper sleep. Casper sleep yeah, the Casper was a hot topic. Just a few years ago, trades under CSP are shares fell today, and they've dropped over 42% in a year. So what's going on over a Casper? Yeah, this was a $1 billion company. A unicorn. They did an IPO that didn't go great or respect. I should say is the way they finally placed the IPO. CEO, Philip krim has not been entirely focused on his company as it's been struggling. I don't say that to be mean, but I'm being very accurate. He has not been entirely focused because he continues to launch spacs and other industries. One today with a risk analytics firm called complex, which of course you spell with a queue because why wouldn't you spell complex with a queue? It's a complex spelling. But complex, complex, I don't know. They were talking about they were going to do a spac, they pulled us back back. They're launching other specs. And all of this back activity else finance activity has led to it comes while Casper is struggling in particular with cost. Now there are some reports out there unconfirmed by the company of big layoffs of C suite layoffs, TechCrunch reporting a bunch of C suite layouts, personally, I think that my guess is the TechCrunch reporting is wrong because the company hasn't verified these things yet. And the importance been out there for a day. Nonetheless, it's unequivocally true that Casper sleep has been facing some problems not just with its share price, but with its gross margins. So part of the Casper model is not to manufacture the Casper mattresses, but to have just in time inventory, I'm the raw equipment raw materials when you need them, also just heard from our last story, we're all material prices were low. Now they're high. We were here in inflation for months and months. These guys are buying the principal ingredient for Casper mattresses as plastics and steel. So what you're dealing with in terms of expenses are oil prices, oil prices are extraordinarily high plastic prices are extraordinarily high. And so the gross margins for Casper have been much worse than their competitors on their last conference call. The analysts asks over and over again, what's up with your gross margins? They look one of the analysts that they look a lot worse than all of your competitors. What is it about Casper that you're not getting right and again, you wonder about the CEO's focus if he's out there launching back after his back after spec, here is what CEO Phil crim had to say. Now about his other activities, what about the multiple factors pressuring their margins and their business model? Good morning. I think you're just seeing the margins, again, it's multiple factors driving pressure on the margin in Q two. It was rapid expansion of the retail partnership channel, putting margin pressure on it as well as cost of goods inflation. I think we perhaps some vertically integrated players see the price increases show up faster given the adjustment time nature of our inventory position so some of the cost increases from our vendors might hit faster than it would if we had a stock supply of the raw materials that we need to make it. So I do think there is a timing difference of how some of the raw material price increases hit our business versus a vertically integrated peer. But overall we're buying the same chemicals that's impacting our business the way that it would even if you were vertically integrated. But there definitely could be some timing differences given the third party implications. It also means that as raw materials drop, it's going to show up in our P and L faster. Again, it's all.

"The Valero Alamo Bowl is always a good thing that end your season with a win. Send these seniors out with great taste in their mouth and start the off season with a lot of positivity Texas Longhorns coach Tom Herman after his team ends the season. Like, he said on a positive note, beating the Colorado Buffaloes 55 to 23. They did lose their senior quarterback Sam Mellinger, missed the second half anyway. After he suffered what Herman called a shoulder sprain. It's unclear what exactly he suffered the entry, sacked on back to back plays on the long hard drives in the first half. And Elegir, the four year starter has announced yet whether or not he is coming back or not. And I'd like to invite my TCU friends to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon and join me tonight and rooting for Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl against Florida. Look, just because because you don't have a team to root for show on New Year's Eve The Macari, Texas ball between the Frogs and the Razorbacks has been canceled due to the cove in 19 concerns. Ah, they were supposed to play tomorrow night down in Houston. But the Frogs have too many players that have tested positive so You say? I don't have a team The Route four on New Year's Eve? No, I said you don't have a horn frog. Okay, so go ahead and say San Jose State. You know, we're kind of brothers. The Arizona Bowl. Good luck with that one. If you want to go with that our army is playing that night. Well, you've got the bowl game and Fort Worth? Yeah. So that's kind of like rooting for the frog. It seems playing in their room for the stadium. You can't lose, right. You know what? You look at sports and a wet Wednesday. Good morning. I'm Steve Lamb. This is the W B A P Morning news with traffic and weather on the ones with Monty and meteorologist Brad Barton. Plus news and sports at the top and bottom of the hour with Nicolo Say, and Steve Lamb. No, Hell J and Brian S Ridge on news, talk a 20 use talk a 20 wv AP Howland Brian off today, Scott said, way here in for both of them with Steve Lamb, Monte Cook. Lee rise A and as TCU put it to continue on to that conversation from an article in the Star Telegram, one TCU source said. We simply ran out of guys when it comes to not being able to feel the team for that. Texas bone a couple days, I guess tomorrow not been tomorrow. Uh, the big 12. Basically, during this cove it nonsense. You have to have 53 players eligible. That includes at least seven offensive lineman for defensive lineman and the quarterback will do, uh, Uh, So when you look at those standard, the fact that teach you how to pull out of this game. It must have been a pretty bad out brains. They flat, right? Will you guys you've got to have 53 players to be eligible. Seven on the offensive line four on the defensive line and one quarterback, and I've heard that somewhere. Yeah, You know, I called Coach P y Cinematheque. So I said, I've got four years of eligibility pound. If you need to put me right, I would I would pay to watch that. See those mountains over there. I can throw the football over them all the way over those mountains. I wouldn't go that far. So what do you do if you had this hotel it cancel all year. That's a good question. You know, there's a lot of lot of factors that go into that, right. Like what happens to the TV sponsorships. What happens to the you know who sponsored the Texas Bowl this year? Oh, Mark R E M a car, which is a do they get it? They sell stuff on blind or something. It's a great description state. Well, those cos you're gonna go to Amazon. Go to Macari, The person you need Tonto reach out to Would be Uh, Mrs Est Ridge. Gotcha. Because he's gonna be Mr Grumpy. Not having a game. Well, Monty was supposed to be the voice. No, no, I'm still no. I'll still be doing my p a stuff over at. Uh Oh, That's right. That's where you are. You are you got you just stole my thunder because I failed to mention that yesterday when I mentioned that game, and I was going to do a big story this morning about and if you're going To Fort Worth and the boys you'll hear. Gotcha. So I'll still let you do it. Steve, I'm not gonna stop here. But I don't know. I've already been throwing under the bus. I didn't know you under the bus. No, you didn't. But I was only some of them was saying not paying attention to buddy either. Either way, it zed. I'm not too bummed about it because I'd be bummed. I mean, it's I've been so un invested in college football season on know that price Say, Monty, You're horrible TCU fan for saying that needs I get it. You have every right to say that. It's just it's been hard to root for college football when they've had game's canceled on. You see teams like Ohio State in the playoff player. Well, they've won six games and money. It's kind of appropriate, I guess for teach you that this happens because this is sort of the way the season started. With the starting you? Yes. And you've right having a having a B while it was postponed you? Well, yeah. And then eventually they said no, We're not gonna We're not gonna play. The reason It's really upsetting for me is because you know, they kind of had a rough start this season. I thought they finish really strong and It would have been fun to watch him, you know, would have been found. Some found a three and six right Razorback team. Here we go. C C team. I mean, you know, according to Liam, three and six sec teams should be able to beat literally anyone else in the country. Glad they finally they put Louisiana Tech on the schedule to make the ballgame. Just play the invitations there. If you'd like to Since your school my school of Barb boat, both a part of the same conference. He might as well root for one of your conference brothers tonight. He's just giving us an idea for charity. In case we haven't done anything nice for anyone this year, Monty Before the end of 2020 like this is a trap like there's no way to win this one. It's okay. I am rooting for no. You win. Just I do like like Steve said. Yes, sir. The big 12 succeeding and I'll be pulling for I will be pulling for Oh, years that make you happy Search to I've got to you want to jump in here? I'll go. The game with me, Steve have a parking pass. I mean, lately, Dr. The tough bargain. It's 5 12 it W B A P coming up next the vote on the $2000 stimulus checks in the Senate. Yeah, it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. Mitch McConnell says no, but a couple of senators. These are important names. Say yes, they do Want it. We'll get into all the stimulus details after traffic.

The Prophet Hunter wrote an article on Saturday about the dividend cut and said quote buyers. Beware Royal Dutch. Shell Asia's closed Friday at over thirty one dollars and the b-shares closed just under thirty dollars. The Prophet Hunter starts out by discussing energy transitioning to renewables and then talks about why this cycle may be different while some anything we could see an oil and gas megamerger wave. I believe they may be disappointed. At least in the short medium term listening to energy majors earnings call over the last couple of weeks suggest. Management teams are prioritizing the deployment of capital in the renewable energy sector where we could see the direction of travel for. Ma is towards acquiring utilities or renewable power producers in two thousand eighteen total acquire direct energy of French Electric Utility this followed their 2016 acquisition of saft a battery maker for over a billion dollars. What was most striking was the severity? Of the reduction. A seventy percent cut which caught investors off guard and illustrates the existential crisis unfolding within boardrooms. I believe the move underscores the transition. To a new era the prevailing yield is now three and a half percent and could mark a major step toward repositioning the business towards renewable focused business those expecting the dividend to be hiked oil markets. Recover maybe left disappointed instead. Management could be on the hunt to acquire utility or invest directly in renewable projects. The good news is that renewables are increasingly becoming. The lowest cost mechanism of providing energy and household are beginning to embrace the transition to electrification of transport and reduction in plastics which also affects oil demand. The profit hundred then gets to the bad news. The bad news for the oil majors is they are relatively late to the party. Existing renewable players such as vestis next Aaron Canadian solar have already gained a significant footprint and offer investors. A pure play exposure to renewables as the big oil majors entered. The renewable space returns on capital are likely to disappoint given strong competition for capital from new and incumbent operators

the Utah Utes give a lot of credits that Texas defense short mention how they're flying around a little bit earlier but also those defensive lineman holding the point of attack in allowing those linebackers to be of a scrape over make plays the only strength for this Texas defense is fired their defense supporter has been against the runs up fifty gets to run a hundred plus I guess the past total pressure come three plus a second it's it's a loss of a poster board third was the first one he escaped that and just to the side running down the seat the pressure on the outside and many of first career start for the sun for Nick Ford in a move that got a I will tell you guys well down here on the field you don't expect a bowl game to favor one side as much as far as the noise factor but it definitely leans Texas and it's definitely not on the field this building built for low salaries for this bill it's close to the field if you're finding any indoor stadium if the backfield efforts only thirty seventeen jackets the fire is considered the please they will get a first down Taylor Dixon picks up though and only for the seven coverage it's so you taught force to put it away the Utes And at five coming up before the bottom of the hour yet, FOX business news. But charity what's going on? News of the upgrades comes after it was determined that a deadly crash involving a seven thirty-seven max aid and had clear similarities to another deadly crash involving the same type of plane in Indonesia. Both of these crashes happened in the last five months sparking concerns over potential issues with the plane model. President Trump stepped up its pressure on General Motors to reopen in Ohio manufacturing plant that recently closed and put seventeen hundred people out of work. Trump's arm-twisting came in a series of separate tweets over the weekend. When he tweeted, I am not happy that it is closed when everything else that our country is booming. I asked her to sell it or do something quickly. And she blamed the U A W union referring to GM CEO, Mary Barra and Trump went. Onto tweet. I don't care. US stock markets drop as tech companies lead losses

"Welcome back to fast money, another dismal day for the markets. The Dow tumbling four hundred points in along with the S and P five hundred racing all the gains for the month tech and consumer discretionary stocks dragging down the Mark with only two sectors in the green utilities ending the best ending the day is the best performing sector. But despite today's sell off guy is looking at one sock that could be poised for year end rally. He's over at the plasma to break down his fastpitch guy, everybody high guy here at the smart board, and we're gonna we're gonna do a power pitch. I didn't have the mid today. Apologized for that. We're going to do Valero symbol is via Zillow and you'll say, what are you talking about refiners have been grim death? And you're right Valero after making I think in all time high of one twenty seven is now trading eighty dollars. That's a significant sell of folks. But you know, what I happen to think the selloff is significantly overdone number to crack for spreads or not nearly as favorable as they were four or five months ago, but they haven't. Totally collapsed yet either not nearly as much as the stock would suggest. So to me the cracks spread is still somewhat favorable. And the last one recent upgrade at Credit Suisse on November first they like it as well. Now, the stock is sold off recently on the back of that. But I think at this level. It's very interesting. Let's put up a chart, please. And you will see as Dan just told me, you know, we're at levels that we last saw back in the fall of last year. So there's a very good chance around in the seventy six seventy seven dollar level where we basically are this stock gets very tradeable. So although obviously has been under tremendous pressure in my opinion, valuation sell off being overdone still somewhat favorable cracks spreads bolero makes sense at this level. We can all see how bad that line line. The line support shins for guy. Tim. I'm actually kind of in favor. I'm this is a t he's to how I'm going to vote. So you might have one vote but talking about either cracks or or the dynamic here where the cheaper oil gets the better it gets for refiners. And remember that they were big outperforms the last time oil was trading it should. And you get you know, this season -ality factor that should actually start to work for them as well. But it hasn't worked out because I think what's happened is people that so much gains in the refiners to soil Valero that I think they're taking money off the table. They're selling first asking questions later. Look the environment is not nearly as favorable. I think to your point, but it's not nearly as dire as this move suggest. So although I think the self is somewhat justified. It's not justified down to this level, eighty bucks
