"Personal. Branding is voice branding. Branding yeah so. This is your most delightful experience. Go all right I'll give personal but We're going to get to the point if we're not already there. Now in twenty twenty where celebrities will be able to monetize monetize their celebrity by selling their voice inside selling their persona and yet they're likeness. That's right and so that's it's a super interesting because then you start getting economics of it. What's it worth yeah and so on that's for another day my my most delightful experience uh-huh with several and putting the book together? But I'll give you a good one. Yeah so with ECO show devices or Alexa devices. That have a front facing scream. O'keefe breath you can go up to those devices and say Alexa. What am I holding? So if I'm holding an echo or if I'm holding a product product bar code that Amazon sells yes it's going to detect that and it's going to say you're holding this and we sell that you wanna buy either for the first time or bite again. If it's not a product that Amazon sells it will sort of shed style tried to determine what it is a tripling sounds like a gimmick it kind of gimmick but for people who are low vision or no vision. Yes there's an incredible accessibility story here and it's just. It's really profound for that reason alone by far for people who need that. It's a reason to buy one of those devices. I like that. Yeah anger mm-hmm. We could go on for hours and hours because he's your conference. I don't want to hold you up because you gotta get to my wedding ceremony with Alexis. Tell John this is. "What's up everybody Paul? Hickey here with a special edition of the data driven daily tip in this episode. I opened up about how ideal with emerging technology. What my biggest pet peeves? Our instant instant gratification. How I got around not wanting to party as a teenager but still make friends and be social? And why and how. I moved to Valencia Spain and run on my company from there with sixteen mates in nearly a hundred clients in the US. Special thanks to my good friend Q.. Harrison Terry for taking the time to sit down and an interview me. I hope you enjoyed Paul. What's up man? It's a pleasure. WHAT'S UP Q? I always like talking to you man. Thank you for making the time. This is one of the first of many conversations. Were having future daycares at lunch. And what's fascinating about us being inevitable human member just the pat the journey at which you excel through emerging technologies to me was fascinating. I wanted to share that with a few people. What where I want to start? Though as you see new emerging technology like voice a lot of people they stop they look at what's going on. They assessed and they're just constantly turning. What's the big idea? or how can they make their first million sometimes billion dollars. It seems like you're saying. Hey let's take a bunch of small beds and like let's build build a community and a business around that community but instead of going the one too many approach you're saying let me help enable a ton of people and this might not be the thing that makes you that million or billion but this is getting give you a lot of insights into the future because you elaborate a little bit on it. Yeah one of my biggest pet peeves as people who say they're going to do something they never nuked ok so because of that I became very very tactical and detail. Detail oriented around like a big. Okay I want to execute a big idea. I want to have a big idea. Come to life and monetize that but you can only do that if you know how to execute it how to detail Orient Nice fascinating because most people think about just the technology at large and they see that as the the big idea and he liked everything to fit. You only saying like hey I have to think about it tactical standpoint. What got you like? What was the the foundational underpinning of like that thinking emerging tech so? We all love instant gratification. Some of us get it in different ways than others. I get instant gratification. Out of solving. Someone's problem okay. So if you think about solving a problem most people think about like the long game of solving the problem so AKA like like the product launch of Pop sizzle around. I think about like I know that I can figure something out for you. And Show you progress lying in an hour okay or less and so then I can feel good about myself the rest of the day. You can feel good about me. And that's how so. That's I'm super micro right. Yes in in that regard okay so by focusing on that what was like the first like you remember the first time you like just realize that you had instant gratification Asian internally from solving other people's problems yeah yeah so like when I was fifteen years. Old I didn't really like Being an attendee party hardy lake Friends with I didn't WanNa miss out on that like my friends you know. I didn't want to miss out like everyone else. I wanted to Goso like so my problem was like I didn't really know how to be like social at the party. Like I didn't want to be like the attendee at the party. So my solution for that was I want to be the DJ at the. Oh you were seriously wounded. Serious already. Cool so Records right records. Hundreds baby yeah rain. T T M fifty two okay. Why didn't go best across smooth superbowl of on the cosby? I don't know like he's a real techy. Actually making things worse taking cable here but coming back to that okay. So you're you're spending the party's you now. A part of the scene that evolves into this new era where you'd like now have a company you live where for the people that don't have. I live in Valencia Spain. That's so fascinating because you started a company in Nashville Tennessee. A- and you live in Spain. Yes how does that work at at large just in general yeah it makes no sense. It doesn't make any like blows blows people's minds when I tell them what's the time difference for the people is so between might support our okay seven hour time difference. That's that's cool because you can work on stuff their sleeve and they can work on stuff while you sleep. You've kind of got like the globalization Happening that's pretty cool but like tell me why and how go to Spain it to become an entrepreneur or be a business owner or yeah like what's not so most of us want to retire. Guess and we want to retire ear and enjoy life and the things that we want to do when we retire pretty much always include travel. Spend time with family I could. I could agree with that. And so my super smart wife had the idea a few years ago. Why wave clients anywhere and if we build up enough trust and reliability we just? That's what we do card. We solve those problems and if we do that then why not travel now and give our kids the experience experience now and we'll unlimit now. That's yes so when you walk me through it. Did you start the company Nashville. No you're always going to Spain or did you light just say. Hey I'm GonNa take you piece by piece and then you pick Spain because of specific reason like what was the thought process there. Well when I met my wife we met when we were in college so can she can stay coaster not west coast midwest and so she's a traveler and so I knew when I met her like I can't change her. She's who is GonNa WanNa Travel and sure enough when we got married. We started talking about when we got married. She's like when can we get out of Michigan. When can we the United States? When can be go to Spanish speaking country and so I kind of knew what I married her like? We're going to move to Spain. Fifteen years later. Thirteen years later removed his fame thirteen years later. Thirteen years in a making A. What's the billing? Tell me about that experience. It's been amazing experience from the regards that like. I just didn't know what I didn't know the world until I got it. It's it's going to see a so so you don't. It's like technology and what we talked about earlier insulate You don't know about the emerging technology so you become the practitioner in it and so the practitioner in like moving to Spain and living in Spain and it's been amazing to meet people from around the world it chain. It's changed my life when I so for someone that as in their mid career here. They want to be an entrepreneur. They kind of have established themselves some geo- geographical footprint that he's employees point A. Ah Yeah but they have this destination in mind as point B. and they don't want to reinvent themselves. What advice would you give to that person? Okay so there's something that you love and life and if you really WanNa move if you really WanNa get geographically from Point A. Point B. You have to go hard into what you love and so for me at age. Fifteen of his delaying the unlock for instant. Gratification came from playing a song and then the money came from Jiang Party. Yeah and then I had like the leverage and the flexibility ready to do a bunch of other stuff. Wow and so that's really what it what it is for anybody. So if you really WANNA move geographic locations and have like a true remote visit like actual remote business you have to hone in on what it is that you love to do because if you do that you can take that with you anywhere and you need the think less about the money side and think about more about the happiness on the fulfillment side that you would get out of the move got it and so you've optimized at this point your lifestyle so that you know it best suits you your family and your business and I want to jump back to your business. What is it like Nick for a client to be partner with data driven design? I know you're through Tracy. I know you're showing the future voice and how that integrates wordpress I know. Oh you can help them with the confidence strategy. But it's not every day in agency exist in two places that he's you know this small if you don't not as no I'm not as a day just absolutely. Yeah we we. We like being small and we're proud of and we actually we lead with who we are okay with exactly who so when you talk to me in a new client call perspective client call. I'm telling you we're small scrappy aid agency. We don't have an office. I'm just telling when you that flatly. So you you get like we're not fancy and so that kind of unlocks the whole say like we do good work regardless of where we are. I'm in Valencia Linzie. Spain teams in Nashville Tennessee. Seattle in Miami and there it is and then. How does the creativity change because an agency the difference between working with the standard? As as you get like you get you know what you're getting you're getting not necessarily the proverbial light grunt word that everyone's getting without the agency. But you get like this zone Bran Dan. This is like you know. Turn of the year. This is like we fit in. We're not necessarily leading the pack. But we're in the pack and wear that class when you work with a smaller agency agency you get a lot of that guerrilla marketing outside of the box like let's try a different. It's like the energy is just. It's it's it's it's an experience in itself sure absolutely. How do you cap captured that? Because I feel like just communication like yeah yeah miscommunicate something. There's a seven hour Delta between your team figuring it out and then you fingernail nat king compound over time and I think if our liquor potential client like. Isn't that a challenge. You face like it's like a fear that they're they look at. Yes so there's a couple of things we do to build that culture. Yes one is. We make sure that we all get together at least a couple times a year in Spain not yet and then the second thing we do is is. We'll do like a remote happy hour schedule. Zoom Conference for fifteen minutes and everybody will crack like some of sparkling water. If you don't drink some of us oh crack a beer. If you do drink and you know we will just say like what are you doing today. Talk about personal stuff. Yeah Nike's the water. Cooler require creating the water cooler experience experience but visually in that allows for creativity to manifest Boston and will say like shutdown slack shutdown email only beyond the zoom conference for fifteen minutes. It makes sense. Well it sounds like you've got incredible. Culture data driven design. I'm super impressed by just your ability to just think about the future at large large not necessarily only for business or only in technological environment but here's psychological in your family and like you know the lifestyle style that you've created. I mean that's a future looks like so. Thank you for taking this time thank you. I love being part of the community. I've never been happier in my life and I look forward to continuing to work with you thanks man..

"It's called alcohol. So he spelled it by the way, and you can follow us on Twitter at Valentine's show. So if you've been with us throughout the afternoon, of course, if I will Notre Dame thing and Pamela with the news and rest of it. And we've told you that in two thousand sixteen there was a woman who tried to blow up Notre them. She was caught she had cannisters of explosives and all this stuff in her car. But interesting folks, she was just sentence. Eight years in jail on Friday. I'm just saying now, of course, I understand. Now, they're telling me, not only is chef Smith saying you can't even go there. But Neil Cavuto did the same thing. I think it was is it Timothy Dolan is his name. So he tr- he tried to bring up all of the desecration of churches in France. And this this has been going on for a while now. Oh, no, no, no, no, sir. We're not going there. What is it with these folks? I mean, you've got people the other guy was a French, dude. I don't know who he was but Shepard Smith had him on. And he started bringing it see if you don't know. Well. Got the story right here. This is actually from Newsweek and now Newsweek is goes, oh, we're sorry. We we put that story. Catholic. This is from Newsweek on March twenty first of this year, Catholic churches are being desecrated across France. And officials don't know what it's funny because Pamela Geller, you know, who she is. She watches all this stuff. She actually had this story in more about the desecration of churches on her website yesterday yesterday, saying you better watch out this, you know, this is going on and it's getting worse. And so they go down this, you know, this list, and this is from a month ago of all sorts of desecration arson things like this that have been going on in churches around France, Tim, so everybody, of course, I say everybody a lot of people are Suming that what happened at Notre Dom was the result of renovations that were taking place there. I mean that sounds. It sounds nice and tidy right? You say we'll somebody's with a they got a welding torch, or whatever. But I don't again, I this was just supposition, but people are supposing that as well. It seems to me rather odd the timing of this during holy week. This woman gets eight years in jail on Friday for trying to blow up Notre dumb in two thousand sixteen. So I'm thinking there could be foul play here. And I would say this about renovation stuff. I don't know about. I mean, this is not like, you know, to good old boys to fringe good old boys that are renovating Notre Dame cathedral. I mean, this is I mean, they take this history and renovation of it very seriously. I'm not to say that. I'm not saying that it couldn't be the case. But as meticulous as the French shar in renovating and preserving their history. It would be surprising. If somebody was careless with something and set the whole place on fire. Right. Have you heard any more Pamela on nothing? More about the call one would presume they've got the fire out. Right. Got it controlled and contained. I don't know that it's completely out. But it is controlled. And they they claim that will say this and that, but people don't think I'm sacrilegious, they're all sorts of Catholic trial cash from. Well, they claim to have artifacts. Matter of fact, I wrote the first face of Janus, which is well, it's based on dominance. But it's it's it's sort of involvement. It's Bay I came up with this fictitious group that exists solely to make no Streptomyces predictions. Come true, which I thought was a fascinating. Well, obviously I had to have some in tag. It's you know, that are going after them and trying to stop them. So this is a secret society with the Catholic church trying to this. So this guy my hero, my protagonists. He's caught in the middle of all this stuff and thrown into one of these prophecy wars as they call it and one of the place at least until to give too much is the cathedral in Valencia Spain. Now, I tell you say, I go to all these places, and it's funny because I had taken the story in one direction. And then I ended up in Valencia for another reason and then discovered what's in Valencia the cathedral had no idea. The cup. They claim that's what they claim. And they've got a history that dates back to Mark who got it from the house blessings marks Mark's parents house or something we're supposedly the last supper, and they gave it to him. And then he's tucked away. And then he escaped out of all that area. And he ended up in the end. So somebody got it from him. And they got the whole story. Who knows if it's true or not? But what was interesting is that Cup? There's a there's a room for the Cup, you know, and the Cup room. And of course, as you might imagine. It's it's not it's like on the Indiana Jones thing, it's not well, I say this gold thing what they've done over the years is they built this gold holder with all these rubies and stuff in it. And it's just a simple little wooden Cup. You know? And so that's what Jesus supposedly drank from the last supper. And pass it around to the site. And this is my this is my blood and all the rest of us. So. What was interesting is. You would think like when you know, you you go to see I don't know. You'll see the Mona Lisa the Louvre, whatever you can hardly close to it. Because people are packed around. I walk in this room is me and two other people in the and so I'm going well, either nobody knows it's here or nobody's buying it. So what I'm saying about the Notre Dame, and this is not the on because they're going through all sorts of stuff. But I don't know that I buy that. This was the. I just can't see how it would be. Also, a nail from the cross and a piece of the car. That's what they, but who knows whether this is true. But you know. Verify. Well, there's no way to verify. I mean, they what they can do is they can verify this Cup. They did they did studies in tests on this Cup. And they said that it was made in Palestine within one to twenty years Basie, and you're going, okay. So that's or maybe AD one to twenty years as it was made around the time of Jesus. But you don't you know that gives you that clue, but you don't know this stuff there are artifacts like this. And there are about as I started doing research for their no less than four or five other churches that claim to hold the Cup the Jesus drank from and you can go see it. There's actually and we talked on the pod goats. There is a church somewhere would've Campbell say. This was not going to get him. It's somewhere in its in some African nation. I believe and I can't remember. But he says that they claim to have the ten commandments. And they have the ark of the Cup. I don't know they had the actual ten commandments still in but the ark of the covenant. And so they have one person assigned to watch it. And it's a lifelong thing, and that's all they do. And they don't let anybody in to see it. And so, you know who knows but they do tell you this. If you try to get in to see it, they'll kill you. You call me Francis. Okay. But so what I'm saying is there's this is just I don't know put your mind at ease or whatever. I mean, they're talking about this as as a big loss of an artifact. We don't even know if that's real. It's a shame. If it is certainly, but you know, we just don't know. Now, I'm in trouble with God knows who. Oh, yeah. Him to anyway. So we don't know what happened. But in times like this you talk about the fire. You talk about the loss the stained glass, I would think would be the worst of it because that was in the ceiling and this whole ceiling collapsed. Right. Correct. Glasses probably toast being if it wasn't burned and and just melted into integrated. It's an a billion different pieces on the floor. So there's some bad things. But you know, this happens. About those artifacts that you were talking about. I haven't heard any I've heard I saw one tweet translating a tweet from a reporter saying all of it was safe. That was just one post. I haven't seen it any other place. So I don't know whether to take that as the gospel truth as it were or not, thank you. Thank you. But they do say that the statues sixteen of the statues ancient statues that were in there had been removed because. Those things are saved. So that's that's a good thing. And I would think of doing full renovation as they were. And they do this every several hundred years that a lot of that stuff was taken out. Now mine is standing is these artifacts. If they are real were in the basement good. Okay. That's what I was going to ask you because most of these places I've only been to two cathedrals my whole life that overseas, you know, in in Ireland. But everything that was value like that it was underground in the crypt. He will. So that's why they kept it. So that I would think that would be safe from fire. If you've got it underground like that. How hot it gets? But and if it's easily accessible, you'd think that's the first thing. Someone had on the way graphs and grab Jesus thorns. But I as I was saying folks from anarchy from from an artifacts that you know, the the thorn the thorny crown notwithstanding if that's that's real that would certainly be the biggest thing they got. But that's not what people go to Notre Dame for. So the chances that people really believe that. I mean, I don't know. But they go to Notre Dame for the historic because it was built back in the eleven hundreds early twelve hundred whenever but a lot of what may Notre Dame so specialists far as a as a from an art standpoint was all of the sculptures are outside the gargoyles and things like this. And you've seen him. If you saw the Disney movie you've seen all this stuff. And so a lot of that's it's as long as those walls haven't collapsed and all that stuff. There's there's a doorway going into it. That is supposed to be something really special the arched doorway, and this stuff was carved, and and put in place, and you know, these stones put in place in the Levin hundred. So I mean, this quite historic it. I just couldn't watch it today. I mean, they would show the thing. I can't watch. This is just makes me sick of seeing all this history. Go down, but nothing lasts forever. Barely. But the the the speculation. Of course, I people say a renovation thing. But then we have all. Of these other churches desecrated and these Catholics. Go on TV wanna talk about that. And these folks are saying we're not going to talk about that. Well, what do you mean?.

"Automotive expert television and radio host, Alan Taylor. Feels kind of good to be in my own studio for once I've been on the road so much goodness gracious. Welcome aboard everybody. We're gonna talk cars. Yes. It's a car show. A Michael Harley joining us from Kelley blue book, director of industry insights, and as we are pals and buddies we also follow each other on on social media. And of course, I get jealous when I see him in Valencia Spain drive in the nine eleven or or in Bahrain driving the new Porsche, Panama. I guess the fact that I am driving a dodge demon upsets the folks at Porsche. But that's all right. We'll deal with that. Because you drove. Anyway, we can appreciate it. They liked the demon. Well, well. The demon come on. I know, but I will tell you one of the other vehicles, by the way, Michael that I am very fond of is well, two vehicles the nine eleven of course. But nobody could sit in the backseat Porsche actually said, hey, we're going to allow people to sit in the back seat within had that weird looking hump. That wasn't really a wagon was a hatchback. But thankfully, with the current generation, they cleaned it up got some more masculine haunches to you know, broader shoulders, and it looks a lot better than it does. "This is Freddie Spencer come into the last round of the two thousand eighteen Moto GP world championship in Valencia Spain. Now, this was always going to be an interesting weekend. And actually, I kind of look at it now because of is the last round and in the championships were already decided that it's that that raised that gives maybe someone the opportunity to get a win in that they wouldn't or hadn't so far some last chance opportunities if you haven't been on the podium this year to get on the podium, or maybe if you've never been on the podium before it's a great opportunity in the last round of the championship. And then of course, you have what is actually begin would begin the week after the two thousand nineteen testing in season. So it's it's exciting. And it's a race that I I've been to a couple of times and was down there for the race this year. Now, the weather was not that great. In fact, it was warmer and drier when. Are left London to good goods the plane down on on Thursday? But it's always was going to be exciting. And this weekend was certainly wise. Now, we as most of you know, if you watched it the weather was atrocious in many ways, there was really no opportunity to get any completely dry practice in. And so that puts a lot of a lot of pressure on the writers because and the teams in the motor GP class because they have to take advantage of of an opportunity if it is a little bit Dr which it was in in a couple of sessions to where they can get down and get a pretty decent time in. And but like I said because of the threat of rain you always have to be on top of your game. Now, I've ridden around ballooned see if you times they do a classic event there at the beginning of ever. Racing season the indefeasibly. I Amar Valencia classic. And and I wanna tell you something if you think it looks pretty tight on on TV. It is tight when you right around. And I've ridden the two fifty around there to phychi GP bike, and of course, five hundred three cylinder five hundred a few times. And it's a fun track to ride on. And and the reason why that that it is the way it is and shaped because the massive grandstands to get that effect of a stadium. And so the track was built with that in mind. And I think that it actually does a great job considering the modest space that have to work with. And so it's it's one of those tracks that you spent a great Bill dilatot thing, of course, accept them on the front straightaway. Either one side of the tar or the other. And so that really makes it critical in wet conditions that you got. Oh, really stay on top of your game, certainly the crew in and as to do your job is setting up to like Tron IX if you listen to the moti bikes on the front straightaway. You really don't even really here break traction that often the riders would feel it. But and certainly you can hear it's it's amazing. How proactive the electron IX are in that respect. But they still like I said have to be really careful and we saw that in the race of when they're carrying speed certainly on current corny entry. You're going to have some some crashes, and like I said because it is a track that you're either one side or the other and making the big, you know, in the sweepers. And then because there's not a whole lot of distance between most corners, the straight line is transitions from one side to the other. And so like, I say it really puts a lot of a lot of stress on the riders to really be on top of the game. One mean? Oh, that is is looking ahead making sure that they're really prepared and they have the right trajectory because rotting in the rang and carrying speed and trying to take some of the pressure off the load and is having the right trajectory, and and really also carry momentum. And Karen speed. Going into the weekend. Like said there was there was certainly a lot of riders that wanted in the season strong..
