"V. time for David Johnson with a wrap up on the day on Wall Street this is a close call today wasn't well it really turned out to be just a wonderful day yeah we we were down all day long it down pretty big time Valdosta Georgia but at about three hundred points transportation average was getting clocked the nasdaq the S. and P. five hundred the Russell all down it all pretty much for the same reason we we lost that stadium on Friday is worries about a trade war with the Chinese she had hit the European markets they were closed on Friday but they caught up France was down for a quarter percent Germany down three and a half percent Hong Kong was down four percent at all pretty much for that well then we got a little more clarification on the one hand maybe it's not exactly the same kind of terror thing but baby baby an effort to get companies to disrupt their supply chains of breaking back here give companies of incentives or is something did you have something to get to be liberal less reliant on China then the treasury came out said by the way we're gonna have to borrow three trillion dollars this quarter to pay for all the body that we've been shelling out of the you know PPP program but also to compensate for the income tax or not collected on April the fifteenth well guess who the biggest buyer of U. S. status chide up so probably we're going to take it easy on China for right now three trillion dollars by the way I know that sounds like a lot of money well it is the old record was in two thousand eight with five hundred thirty billion in one quarter at three trillion represents twice what we had to borrow all of two thousand nineteen so the industrial average didn't close down three hundred point two closed up twenty six points and the nasdaq was the first to turn they bought all the Fang stocks back and the nasdaq was up one hundred five points the S. P. average was up a does of the Russell was up a couple of white the only other one the transportation average was down to percent that's because we found out the over the weekend that Warren Buffett they respected investor Berkshire Hathaway had planted all all the airline stocks that he owed so they were all down about ten percent right out of the chute at the close American was down eight percent south was down five and a half percent so they made back some of their losses to old one other thing well technically we were down there were a hundred and thirty more stocks down that up but all the averages were higher and we can celebrate that the Dow industrial average sure squeaked out a gain of twenty

"NMLS Alrighty three nine nine hundred one. Bestselling author Washington Post columnist Fox News contributor just trying to put it all in perspective. I think yesterday when anti Pelosi said, I'll re when Nancy Pelosi got the offer from the president sensually that I'll reopen government and homeland security until the middle of February. But are you going to negotiate on the barrier on the wall on the fence? Hey, she said absolutely not on border security that wounded include any type of barrier. So we got up left. But I also think he exposed to. They're not even having talks member of the one point three billion would be on border security, not for the wall now for the fence. Now, this is a woman who voted twice for a fence and Chuck Schumer. Also there eight times voted for fence as part of a massive package, guess what? Despite being opportunity for Democrats to put together a massive package and national state of emergency is not going to answer this because right away, if you declare a state of emergency, the president says here, we go going to use some funds and their defense funds needed. Elsewhere. But we use some to start building a wall. We'll fine. Just see, you know, immediately. The democrat sue goes to the ninth district, and it's it's ruled unconstitutional, and then it goes up to the supreme court. I don't know if you've noticed, but the supreme court really hasn't been too friendly to the president either. And guess what happens? In the meantime, there's no additional border security a border patrol is left out to dry. They get overwhelmed the detention centers, which are mislabeled, but the only way to label them when these families come across. They're going to be ill equipped not big enough not enough of them. And it's getting cold in the winter. So you have two kids die you have border patrol getting shot. You have illegal immigrant shooting people. There's a problem. Well, I have no idea why these people can't get together. Now, I put post this on Facebook this morning during FOX and friends did anyone say anything else in of note? Many people did panelists that a good morning in the Trump declared emergency to build the wall to which Donnie also says he agrees he said Trump needs to sign an executive order for the wall. They do not agree with you sherline says President Trump was right to walk out. He's a great negoti. Theater? And she also mentioned that banks are giving no interest loans to the workers. Let's look more up on that to see if that's happening. It would assume on the local level more. So and then lastly, Keith said, he's listening from across the pond. And honestly with all this fighting. He doesn't know if he wants to come back. I know it's embarrassing. It is flat out embarrassing. David. Listen w VGA in Valdosta, Georgia. Hey, david. Hey, good morning. Happy new year to you guys. You said while ago that you were concerned about future president having ability. I don't see that. It's not like he's riding in executive order. He is acting upon thorny given to the office of the president that above and beyond any Senator any congressman because he is quote unquote, the commander in chief and he has to make decisions. That's why he was given that a. Authority to get rid of stalemates. And when you hit a brick wall. You know, I have no problem with any president doing that as long as it's within the thority. Oh, the constitution. So well, maybe maybe. It a couple of years. Let's say two years or six years. There's president Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris decides that it's a state of emergency. We have so many illegal immigrants here who cake it citizenships and camp vote I declare all legal immigrants are going to be citizens as long as you prove you been here more than three years. How do you feel about that? Well, there again, it looks like that a lot of politics up there. Don't know exactly what that authority gifts the president. And in what situations that's going to have to be ironed out stars. But you know. Yeah. You're saying the same thing with a lot of people calling up and say make it a simple majority fifty one votes and the president get his agenda passed well when he's no longer president. Then what happens? How happier Republicans gotta to be. When you have the corporate rate get jacked up to over forty percent, the individual rate, the Democrats get their wishing and people who make millions of dollars get seventy percent of their income taken away to taxes. You're not gonna like that. So I think people got a look at the long term health of the country and the process not just to one issue. Cain act emotionally..

"Let's go to the phones Trevor from Valdosta. Welcome. Hey, Mr. Eriksson. I just had a really quick question for you. Then always your merry Christmas. Sure. My question. I really like your show because it's very logical and I've been doing research on the individual mandate recently. And I noticed that. The like since the individual mandate has been repealed. Obamacare is really suffering. And I think logically. It's just because because there isn't that penalty anymore. A lot of people aren't signing up for ObamaCare anymore. And I just wanna hear your opinion on that Christmas YouTube merry Christmas. The answer is no, and I can tell you the answer is no because the individual mandate repeal doesn't go into effect until next year. So to the extent that there have been problems with ObamaCare over the past year. It has nothing to do with the individual mandate repeal because it's effective date is not until next year. So it may be the sign up period is happening right now for ObamaCare into November beginning of December. But you it's the earlier problems that we really have the data on that. Are that are at issue? What is a problem is that the underlying insurance regulations within ObamaCare have shut out a lot of insurance companies. Those insurance companies that remain have risen have raised their prices. And then you have a hodgepodge of of Medicaid Medicare issues around the states and the federal government tried to fund them. All that's the problem. The bureaucracy. That ObamaCare has caused and the paperwork and the insurance retire requirements and the insurance companies fleeing the ObamaCare system have risen prices and was the Democrats to say, it's lower prices. But it hasn't really when you take the entire system as a whole they're just nap shutting the poorest of the poor not the whole system..

Two national championship with kirwin bell winning it for Valdosta state, and we had a bunch of bowl games. Utah state half the coaching staff and laid it on North Texas in the New Mexico bowl. Herm Edwards in Arizona state could not handle the mountain west champions, Fresno state, man, west good league. Let league let's talk. Some more college football right now with Brian Fisher up college football, talk dot com, apart of the NBC sports dot com, family, Brian. How are you? What did you like best about this weekend's college football? That we had it. You know what I mean? Little bit without it. And it just kind of reinforces how out greatest sport. It was terrific to see all those bowl games back to back some some thrillers some some blowouts, but let's kind of nature of the game come bowl season. Hey, look, we've got more coming up this week the AP coach of the year has been named in its Brian Kelly of Notre Dame second time, he's won the award. How'd you feel about that? You thought good choice. You would you gone with anyone else? Choice. Terrific job that he did making a quarterback change early on getting the Irish. I know everybody wants to pick apart their schedule. But it's just so difficult especially not being in a conference to go undefeated. And he's done a terrific job. Only managing that team on the field. But everything that he did off of it. What was terrific? I personally we votes went with Bill Clark. I think that the fact that he won conference this year had an eight game winning streak after two years of not having a program. I mean that that is just stellar coaching job in those blazers they play decent. He really coach them up on that side of the ball that have been my pick. But I won't argue against Brian Kelly because he he did a terrific job with the Irish this year. I gotta agree with you one hundred percent. I mean, I love what you is a ten and three football team. But had no program at all. And he stayed there. He stayed there. Then you had to go recruit kids and bring him in there and get and try to get the fan base excited. And I do have a whole lot of respect for what he did. That was a tough job. They are in a bowl game, by the way, the Boca Raton bowl. They're gonna play that tomorrow against northern Illinois. Northern Illinois is eight and five UAB favored by two and a half to win this football game. Yeah. And maybe one of the the more marquee matchups in in terms of those mid week four games just because it is to conference championship champions. We don't get that. All that often. You know, there's the Rose Bowl. Of course, there's the playoffs. But in terms of crop of five leagues, we we don't get conference shaping verse conference champion all all that often. This'll be a defensive struggle. I'm really interested to see it and see who can put up some points in this one. All right. Your thoughts on the Oregon landing the number one player in the country. Well, this is what Chris was was retained what was beef up by recording. He was terrific when he was. Alabama. Obviously made a lot of you know, diamonds in the rough at at at at. Was was retained by rob more to beef up the recruiting for we're gonna and he's certainly done that class getting the number one request the country that that statement land in terms of national signing day for Mario Cristobal in the dachshund. We have our coots, especially our southern California before, but it just seems a little bit different. Because this is a guy on the defensive side is. I think it was going to send a message acting for a long term. And you look around the Pac twelve I mean, Washington's right there with the top fifteen classes. Well, this is a big time. But I think. The message said. There's a bright light at the end of the tunnel as well that. Cave on is his name the number one ranked prospect in the country chose the ducks rally. Bama, Florida and Florida state now they can do a recruiting Jabber keep their quarterback there. Then they could have a special season. Yeah. That's the big question. And I think that's that's the one thing that. Much. They would like to come back and again for another season. He's meters. That means a lot to him. We're gonna have a lot coming back guys. That can make that next step to the next level. Fifteen top twenty team in for the huddle at the same time, though. I mean, you'll you'll look at all those teams picking the talk that might need a quarterback that might wanna. Certainly there will be a lot of trade action. I'm thinking the NFL draft. He could be a top five top ten pick. And that's going to be hard to turn down. That's going to be a big decision for him. Family after the ball game. One of the things about Justin. Herbert that an Oregon alum was telling me his brother is there. So that he the thoughts of playing with his brothers been something that he's he's thought about help me understand how Butch Davis at Florida international did not know his running back, Shaun dairy is Phillips had a warrant out for his arrest all season long for domestic violence. And now they say he's not going to play the game because he was arrested as he was getting ready to leave for the Bahamas bowl with F. I yeah, that's that's hard to not only from the Hague. Standpoint. From a cult complying with. Standpoint do a lot of these things background checks. Your thing. Somebody would have said something done something. Just a bad book overall for you in that program. Before. Game this behind you. On day coming up. But I think it's gonna be quite a bit over the next coming weeks. Just because it is a big deal. And I can't believe that. Yeah. Poetic department as much as the head coaching staff. You didn't find this out beforehand? So Nick Sabin wanted to bring in Hugh freeze, the SEC stopped in said, no. And then you've got Alabama reportedly a having DJ Durkan consulting for the team. What's going on there with Sabin in these guys? I think if he feels like he's a coaching halfway house in terms of rehabbing these guys. I do think benefit from having a different in the room. What rolling around the edges, but I just don't get it from a PR perspective and from an internal. You got so much. The the playoff semifinals until weeks focus on that. Or or have dinner with them. Okay. Fine. You can do that to bring them in as a consultant around the program at this crucial time for Alabama. I just don't get it. I get a lot of benefit of the doubt. Based on his record. And when he's done, but this is not a great decision for him. Reflects poorly on the program. At this point, especially in this part of the season DJ durken's getting paid millions of dollars. Now that he's he's left Maryland. I just don't understand the lifeline Nick Sabin sitting here, given, but oh, well, well, we know he's winning championships. So we talk about it today. Then we'll we'll start talking about tomorrow. And the guy will bring him in there. And then there we go. Hey, Brian, you, absolutely. That's Brian Fisher, college football, talk dot com next..

Wanna start out by talking about the top of the schedule? You schedule tough seems like that's paying off you. Now wasn't the things that you your team. Learn from those games, although three start is difficult wasn't things that you learned your Lowe's games that account, we really reaping the benefits and have you on this five game winning streak, y'all. Well, I think you know, we we learned to measuring stick years a little bit for this season right now, you're looking at about Austin you look at west Georgia. They're all ranked in the regional right now. Valdosta. West Georgia, I have lost. And you know for a while there. You know, we we we were frustrated with the way we played it gets out. I'll start watching them play of the teams going. Well, we gave up less than most people did against them. And I think as a staff. I just kept focusing on the film from those games in the silver practice. And I kept telling the guys I said guys, we're actually a better fundamental than we were last year when we started off to so we're just try to keep taking confidence from that. And watching the kids kinda get better you really want to be better at the end of the year that you are at the beginning of the year. And so, you know, that's what we kind of just kept harping on. Are we getting better? All we have a good practice is our team practicing horrid team playing hard. And I think we've just seems you know, a lot of growth throughout the season. That's what I've been proud by these guys for you. Ios three. Pretty good teams. But you know, if you wanna be relevant on the national level. You gotta go play those types of games, and you can't be afraid to go put yourself out there against the best teams because that's what you wanna do at the end of the year. You guys are right now. Among the top ten in the division two rankings of the super-region to among the top ten when you saw that news when you received it. I mean, how excited were you guys about it for your all your players excited as well? Yeah. I think they're excited. But I think they're also kind of tipped you know, what I'm saying. They they want to be higher than ten look at the rankings ago. You know, they still a little, you know, disrespected, and so for as a coach, it's great 'cause that's just ammo for us to you know, to and motivation. And I think, you know, we we've obviously I don't know if anybody play this is tough schedules. We've played and you know, so we're we're we're we're focusing on what we can control. We're glad to be in the conversation. And also glad to say halos are so a lot less for us to play for. There's a lot left out there. Hey, we need to try to move up. The only way to do that is to keep doing. What you go every week and started going win who is a player that you have just seen Grell exponentially both on and off the field. It can be more than one. But I'm curious to know who you've watched just develop into a well rounded young man, which I'm sure all of you guys have done that. But has everyone at suck out. You know, I I think. We're all men. We're all humans. No were perfect. I'm not perfect. But I think colitis Williams are quarterback is really taking some steps. I think just as far as his his maturity is mental toughness his ability to to to lead Cuban phrase as a kid that I think is really kind of you know, as doing most during the most of the second chance and excited to see his development. I think Torian Bill are knows Gardner are really our defensive captain has really short a lot since last year and not not at I probably look for ways around to success. And I think he understands. You know in order to get to climb. The mountain is the best way is just straight up. And and so really proud of him. In Jalen Bush. You know, Jalen is a local kid here. Fumble. You know, just you know, don't with some things off the field dealt with some academics. And is really. Ah? Every just joining us. We're talking to head coach of many state the golden Rams, Gabe gardenia your journey. You now being a part of the ranch for the second season. How has that been what does that journey been like? Well, I think you learn a lot. And you learn how to deal with the stresses of being the boss is. Can't think you know, people have meant toward me in the past. They hate coaches I've worked for for the phone calls the pieces of ice. Then just just having a good administrative team here with with with Cherie, Gordon and presidents Cedric has really made my job easier. It's been an incredible journey. I mean, it's I tell people all the time. There's no better nation than ram nation. I mean, I coast football for. Time, and you would say that he would have, you know, decent crowds and support different places. And I can tell you that there are no better fans. No better support than there. Are there is here at all? But he stays way they packed out that homecoming Hugo stadium is it was just incredible. I mean, you look up in the second corps. You know, seven or eight thousand people here. It was just incredible incredible. The way they traveled to Morehouse. You know, we had more fans at Morehouse. So I just I can't think, you know, our alumni, and our fans just everybody that's ever matriculated here and walk the hallways of this campus. Is it unique place? It's a fun place to do the school work here. Got to ask you. What is the toughest place in the conference to play was was the place. And I know the place you're going this weekend has a reputation for being a pretty tough place to play. But. Place. You think is the toughest place to play in the SEC. Well, I hope it's Albany state. You know? People come here. You know? It's just like, okay. He's been everywhere. But yet, you know, but I can tell you that you know, this place every year. But just playing at lane college as a little tough, you know, it's a long drive with the old stadium. You know what I'm saying? Keep that grass. Nice and high for you. Wholesaler advantage. This year. So, you know, I think it's it's probably tougher than I if everybody talks about the student section at Tuskegee. No, we played them in the classics. The last two years. So I've never had the pleasure of making that trip over there. But but everybody talks about that student section. Obviously, the two classes we play. I mean, the white water classic for sound city. Classic those crowds are just incredible. Coach. We thank you for joining us. It's been some time with this talking to your your store you season is amazing story so far and there's still more to be written. But congratulations on the season that you've had thus far surviving the elements in the inspiration that you are for the people in in in in South Georgia needs something to to rally around the need something to give them a reason to smile. The Albany state Rams are doing that in so many ways. So we thank you for spending some time with us this week you own SPCA you play. I just can't think for all the time. And appreciate what you do to promote our league. And promote always say thank you so much coach coming up next. It's time for the kickoff. More HVAC you play to come. We'll be right back.

"Unlike a lot of these storms where we've got a cold front that might come in from the continental United States bringing in a little bit drier air. There is a cold front out there. But it's it's moving through the Dallas area right now. It's it's nowhere near this. And so in in terms of what we know in the United States and in the midwest and so forth, we call it the warm sector. That's the area ahead of the cold front that warm sector is a couple of hundred miles long, and they're in the heart of that warm sector. They have all the fuel all the moisture and in heat and heat in the water. That's necessary. So it won't it won't die down. Whatever it games he will carry to shore. And then once it hits the friction of the shore, then it will start to degenerate a little bit. So Tallahassee could be seeing routine. Eighty two maybe a little more than that mile an hour. Gusts with sustained winds fifty miles an hour while Appalachia cola, and Panama City beach will have one hundred plus mile an hour winds as it's coming ashore this afternoon, and and and they'll have periods where those gusts drop off to seventy five miles an hour. As so. Yeah, this is this is a fascinating point. You may not realize that savannah. You know is way out on the on the coast here north of Brunswick in Georgia coming out of Atlanta on sixteen savannah because of the Winfield is going to have winds that are gonna be gusting up to twenty five miles an hour with some isolated gusts tomorrow night up to fifty miles an hour and the entire coast from the Georgia coast. Up through the South Carolina and North Carolina coast all of that area, potentially as far up as morehead city is going to feel the force of this storm on Thursday as it moves its way out of out of Florida and crosses Georgia across Valdosta and probably somewhere between savannah and Augusta. South of Macon and eventually comes up across Florence. Yeah. Yeah. We're looking at I'm looking at the map right here and tropical storm warnings for all the Georgia coast and looks like about three quarters of the South Carolina coast and the rest of it is a tropical storm watch. As you get a by South Carolina, all the way through North Carolina almost all the way up to Virginia. Exactly, exactly. And I didn't even mention Virginia. But yeah, it goes that far north and and so we can expect forty plus mile an hour forty five mile an hour. Winds all the way up that entire stretch onshore winds because this is a this would be a nor'easter that the winds are going to bring onshore flow, and it's still relatively warm along there, and whatever rain is dropped and rainfall figures for that particular area are still pretty significant. We're looking at the Florida panhandle and mid Atlantic and all the way up to New England of one to three inches of rain. And as for the Carolina. Southern Virginia Georgia three to six inches of rain with isolated amounts of eight inch rains. Wow..
