"With doctor Luis fleischman and roger in Vacaville California good evening Yes good evening Yeah I just want to pass on you know we're helping Ukraine with all these sophisticated anti tank missiles and anti plain missiles How come we're not sending anti missile weapons We have them Israel has them and I think France and Germany have them Yeah I would admit there's a distinction I couldn't fully explain either perhaps the professor could We do have anti missile missiles which we have not sent them And of course the Russians have used a fair number of missiles in their attacks I don't quite understand that distinction myself sir No me me me either And I know that for research some of the anti missile missile I know that Israel I mean he mentioned Israel and I know usual have something because Israel helping that technology I think Israel has not allowed it has not given permission and the reason is because Israel and this point is perhaps remain neutral because it has a relation of convenience with Russia Russia Russia allows the Israelis to bomb the Iranians in Syria And that's an agreement that Israel has with Russia and they don't want to undermine that agreement But on the other hand I believe that the that the Europeans and the Americans have anti missile missile technology and frankly I can not really I don't really have an explanation why they are not giving it to the Ukrainians There are no clear to me I don't know whether it is Yeah I think it's one of the best questions posed on this program in quite a while roger I don't think either one of us has an answer as to why Ah Jaime in Brownsville Nebraska good evening Jimbo to your guest My concern with this is options of diplomacy And what I mean by that is leadership by tyrants is obviously what caused this war And if it was leadership by respect because when they respect their leaders and their leaders respect their people it makes us stronger union And this is why so many people look at us as the USA because we have elections We don't have forced in tyrants that stay in there until they kill everybody Well I mean I don't think that moral suasion is exactly going to be effective with Vladimir Putin He doesn't care about democracies except to the extent that he thinks it's a lousy system I mean I don't think that he would laugh I think honestly Jamie Well yes I mean I think the question of diplomacy is a question of willingness And you can have diplomacy even with guidance The bank which kind of silent Putin is a little difficult I think for putting to reach a situation where he will be willing to carry out diplomacy in good faith he needs to have some tangible gains And this is why app until now all these diplomatic talks and all these peace talks basically went nowhere So the question is how we can achieve a piece of women And giving put the while giving put in some sort of gain or some sort of victory even if it is a small victory This is why I believe that Putin is going to be very fast to negotiate with Putin because he's going to demand parts of eastern Ukraine And I don't think He is willing to give up parts of eastern Ukraine And I think that is going to be highly problematic In other words this is why I expect that the conflict may be going to be here for a long time for a while You think what is what is going to be here for a long time professor This conflict Really Maybe I believe that they are going right If they don't achieve some tangible victory okay Sometimes you will gain I think they are going to continue with their hostilities Now they hostilities may not be of high intensity But they will continue maybe with some what is called pretty shown word right Maybe it won't be here and there Knowing the Ukrainians here and there Well that would take us back to.

"Years old. it's survivor from destiny's child and i will tell you why because i'm glad you asked. This album has some of the rock to that. Maybe you wouldn't expect me to be as a rock guitarist to be. You know jumping towards this particular album but the title track survivor. Which you've heard on the radio. A lot is a great fine crafted pop song with beyond say and and the team there providing that three part vocal delivery they do so well there was a it was a michael jackson tribute tv show. That came out in two thousand one when destiny's child was kind of a relatively new act and they did a live version of boot delicious. Which with real guitars at three guitar players and drummer and you know porn section. And they of course the beginning of that song has that stevie nicks edge of seventeen a guitar part that they lifted but they played it so raw. Live and i remember watching beyond say looking at michael jackson taunting in nevada to boot. Alicia vol bang right adam. And he's kind of taken aback. Oh beyond say it but it was. It was powerful. And all i can say is. I didn't have the album until i saw that particular cut of that special with destiny's child doing booty leashes and i thought this song pretty rock. It's it's a rock and song. Yes it's a dance song assets movement or whatever you want to say but there's a rock sensibility to it. That made me love the band and of course gone onto become a huge beyond say fan she just an amazing artist in totality. But this shows her some of her rock and best and if you followed her career at all you've seen like when she's done live shows vegas residencies whatever. She has a full band four guitars full. Everything and generally they're mostly female. She hires musicians to back her up on tour. So there's just too much not to like about this record survivor from destiny's child my number full

Another military veteran jumped to his death from the top of the hotel landing on a skylight below. There is maddeningly little information about these people other than how they died. WW2 Era Bomber [B-25] Crashes Near Stockton Airport

"World War Two era bomber a B twenty five crashes near Stockton Airport. And this is from ABC ten dot. COM Stockton. California World War. Two era bomber crashed about five miles away from Stockton Metroplitan. Airport on Saturday night San Joaquin County sheriff's officials said Sheriff's officials said the pilot tried to land and a field before striking a ditch the plane received significant damage in the crash officials said, three people were on board the plane to receive non life threatening injuries while another person was able to walk away. Fine the fine the two injured occupants were transported to the local hospital. NTSB and F. A. A. Officials will take over the investigation into why the plane crashed. And we have some audio and let me set this up a little bit from live ATC dot net when they're traveling on these these old warbirds warbirds. They usually have like a chase airplane somewhere following them for support and such, and in this case, it's a bonanza. The the the be twenty five started in Chino and flew up to northern California stopped at the nut tree vacaville airport for a bit, and then took off again and was heading over to stockton to have some repairs done to the airplane. There's A. Depiction of the of the flight, the latter part of the flight to nut tree in Vacaville, and then over the Stockton, and then after the repair work is going to be accomplished remains work whatever it was. They were GONNA do at Stockton they're going to return to the east coast where it's based. and. Let's see. So let's play a little bit of the live ATC video. Audio and again, you'll hear the bonanza flight. That'll be the first thing you here and then you'll well as the only thing you'll hear and then the. Conversation with air traffic. Control. And Five for. This house was. Hurt another aircraft on have had mentioned barriers end up in a real you have A. Four six Charlie on your. Show. Costs on my radar. because. Go beyond. Their. Back. The chase plane was out there and was able to locate. The be twenty five in help direct emergency services to the location another your news reports say. The injuries are not life threatening. I don't know if you call it minor or not. It depends on. Report you're looking at here. Bet. The third occupant was not injured. I'm hoping that it looks like. By the way if you have a link to this in the show notes. One Brown the Block Leo. Channel did. A really nice video of this and he has got a lot of interesting information about the airplane and the fact that had just returned. Remember we talked about earlier show the World War, two era bombers or aircraft that were on the Essex L. HD navy ship that was heading over to Hawaii. To Commemorate the seventy fifth anniversary of the end of World War Two and Hawaii It had just that was one of the airplanes they. Put It on a crane and put it on the the deck of the L. HD and it sailed over to Hawaii. They did the comeback. So basically, this is all glories getting ready to return all the way to its home on the East Coast and. let's say the. So he had some other interesting photos of where the be twenty five ended up in a ploughed field, and if it hadn't been for that irrigation ditch it would have been a much better. Outcome and does you know it still doesn't look like there's a Well I. Guess. If you're looking at the engines that were torn off against the damage is quite extensive on the engines but I'm hoping what I'm trying to say is I hope that they'll be able to. Scrap the thing completely, it'll be able to fix it but I don't know. It's great. History. Escape. Doesn't I. Mean. There are people out there who are willing to build a new aircraft will build well, two aircraft. A very small amount some the this is a complete more or less So I'm sure that somebody in who who has got the money and there are plenty of people out there who loves this sort of thing Bail to fund it, but it's just a it's just a tragic. "Transmitter sites. In case you know one goes out and so they're set to take care of emergencies, but you can't always plan for everything and so in this particular case, everything got knocked out for them because no matter what you have if everything's in the fire, you know it's not it's not going to be. It's not going to be helpful and so it wasn't that they weren't prepared they certainly, I can't imagine. How much more prepared you could be than having to exhilarate sites, of course, you for such a thing. But it just happened the we were at that point and have you ever had to emergency broadcasting like that before Not Myself You know we're eas station obviously so that that's done automatically this is the first time we've ever had to to do You know this type of emergency broadcast we we broadcast city council meetings. All of them live but that's not an emergency. Doesn't have that same urgency in its plan than everything set to go. But this is the very first time that you know we've had to suspend everything and just go out there and just see that the stations operating. I I might have been one hundred feet from the evacuation zone I mean the other side of the street where I is. where I am at that time, pardon me was was evacuated and You know it's it was a question whether. I should leave if the evacuation came for me or to stay on the air you know. Weird things come through your head and things like that happen and you don't you don't. It's because you don't know what's happening that you don't get the full picture and you don't know whether you're taking a huge risk or Novus at all. You know. So it's it's it's kind of weird I always say, well, you know a few weeks later all look back in Kinda, smile at it but So hasn't been the case. God. Just. Terrifying Ralph is that is that because it's still Are you still in the midst of the disaster. I look outside there's still no no no, there's no disastrous for. Again what there's no disaster this fires going on everywhere. So I can't say that what I'm saying is that you know I'm not looking out and nobody's being evacuated but yet the the smoke is thick and every day we have to check in the air quality to see if we can even you know do things outside it's just kind of A. It's kind of weird atmosphere right rail the fires over it just isn't affecting Vacaville is strongly now is it was a few weeks ago and you are you are you still broadcasting emergency condo on your own, your radio station we're not in that it's not affecting art. Our signal only hits Vacaville, proper doesn't. So it doesn't even serve Fairfield, which is a city right next to us because the hills are between us and Fairfield. So emergency broadcasts into fairfield wouldn't be of any service to them. But you know we're we're kind of hyper local. In that way we only cover the city of back ill So they have my number, my cell phone number and whenever they need stuff. Like that their emergency services will give me a call in ob right here to to let it happen for them. but right now Vacaville is not in any lockdown or anything of that under another evacuation none of that is happening curving so so we're we're at the ready to help them whenever we can. WILL BACK ON THE AIR.

California wildfires: Trump declares major disaster

"In Northern California have been dealing with high winds and low humidity. The largest fire is just 21% contained. President Trump has offered his support to California's firefighters and those affected by the huge fires. Our hearts go out to the thousands of families who have lost their homes as we grieve for the families of two first responders. And five residents who have tragically lost their lives in a very horrific fire jump, has approved a major disaster declaration for the state and says he has spoken with the governor. Now. One of the houses that burned down in the Vacaville area was a couple's dream house that they spent decades building. Hank Hanson says he won't rebuild the house He and his wife lived in for 30 years, but He says he will return to water. His tomatoes.

Turned 74 years old news is next. Live from Kait. Kiwi D News on Brian What the wildfire situation around the Bay Area got intense this morning. One of the series of fires burning through the North Bay has begun burning homes in Vacaville reporter Richelle Maria Dylan drove to Vacaville this morning and Richelle I have seen videos of fire trucks pulling up to homes to try to protect them. Do we have any sense of how many homes have been destroyed so far? No, not yet, Brian. I can only tell you what I've seen about a half a dozen buildings turning on Pleasant Valley Road, which is like the western edge of back of elves on DH. To be honest, I can't tell if those are some are obviously home because they have fireplaces. But others could be Barnes. There are Plant nursery's or something, and I asked some firefighters here. They don't know yet, either it this was a very fast moving situation all morning, and the fire has burned into Machiavelli proper, but no homes have been lost there. And Fairfield is threatened. That was all they could tell me. They're still assessing the damage. What are the firefighters telling you about the outlook for today? Well, I asked these firefighters how they're deploying resource is because it's the time of day when they assessed and allocate and they sort of jokes. What resource is which is not very courage ing At the moment, they're just getting a handle on things. There are fires burning across the Bay Area, this particular fire The Hennessy fire was part of a lightning complex that started to the west of here is burning from 80 upto East 505 and to the 1 28. Firefighters are in life safety mode. They say that means helping people evacuate homes and livestock and saving houses when they can, and they said most people are complying with the evacuation orders. On DH moving out. I don't see many folks around here. And I have seen the picture that you tweeted of livestock actually trying to move around this fire. I imagine that they you are seeing Cem plans being implemented to make sure that cows and other animals get out. Yeah, I was driving up this way. I saw her trust against offense. You know, they were made nervous by the flames up on a ridge and and wanted to get out and I saw a cow in someone's front yard is in his garden and it had escaped, And I also found a couple that had been killed. So, Yeah, it's dangerous Fire, and the weather isn't going to help there. There's an inversion layer the same thing that has been taking us in this heat wave across the region. Ah, weak, but that's pushing the smoke to the ground. It's unpleasant, of course on dream. I am there's ash falling right now, but it also means that they can't get Water dropping aircraft or helicopters here because there's just terrible visibility. It felt like I was driving into a big brown cloud. A ZAY was coming up 80 from the Bay Area proper. Reporter Richelle Maria Dylan. Thanks very much. Thanks, Brian. Please stay.
