"I really don't know what I tell. Your Dad's needs to do for you need to go ahead and I think that's right now your time. He can't say no on national television. So you should ask right now. I think is breaking up. I can't hear communications a little guys. Congratulations we hope. You'll be back with a soon. And endeavoured thanks for the Great Work. You're doing we'll continue to watch. Thanks guys for having us while the NFL in the AFC west in particular chasing the chiefs at the tough task though last season. Casey when a perfect six zero against visit arrivals and the Internet these with just about every store from that Super Bowl winning team one difference their backup quarterback and twenty twenty. It will be chat henny instead of Matt Moore. They also added to their offense in this draft. Selecting lsu running back. Clyde Edwards layer with the final pick in the first round field gates and off-season grade. If you will for the Kansas City Chiefs Wendy I'm going to go with the be plus can do a whole lot but you just reference all the pieces that bringing back ten of eleven super bowl starters on offense five of their top six rushers from last year. Eight of their top nine receivers this great goats from a plus to an a plus if they get a long term extension done with Patrick mahomes which many expect will happen at some point before the beginning of the NFL regular season. All right as I mentioned the entirety of this division chasing the chiefs. Let's look at the raiders. They did make some big moves once again in free agency adding Marcus Mariota. Jason witten and Corey Littleton and while they lost a number of defensive players in free agency Las Vegas draft three skill position players in the first three rounds of the draft. Perhaps as a counterforce to having Patrick Mahomes in the same division. A grade for the Raiders Ryan. You know what I'm GONNA say. The raiders got a be plus. Many people may think this is high but when you look at what they were able to do with. Cory Littleton and you add veteran depth into the secondary with Randall. When he and you listen. I didn't think that rose was the number one overall. Why receiver but he had the speed they want him and Damon are the first round cornerback from Ohio state. In a Meek Roberson the fourth round pick from the WHEEZY N at take. I think both of those guys is opportunities to be stars at the starting corner and nickel. You also have a backup quarterback Marcus Mariota that can push Derek Carr for the starting position at the quarterback spot. And so for me. I think they did a great job of building a team that Jon Gruden wanted. That might make wanted. And so. Moving for the raiders have improved. Now we'll see what they look like in Las Vegas in their new digs. Absolutely agree. Can't wait to watch now to a drew. Lock lead Broncos team. He added some key veterans. Melvin Gordon Drill Casey and AJ VOYEUR. Who will replace former longtime broncos corner? Chris Harris Junior. And just like the raiders. They went with receivers in this draft. Alabama's jury duty in the first and then Penn State's K. J. Himmler in round two. Dinka what do you got for the broncos in the offseason? Look you don't WanNa come in my classroom. A tough graders. Some people might think that that's a little bit low for all the talent that they did bring in but look their head coach. Vic Vic Fangio. He's he's a defensive coordinator a defensive guy so you could see the top three people that they did bring in their all defensive people so you think Casey five time pro bowler impact player on the inside. Great Pass Rush. We'll help von Miller on the outside because we all know pressure in this league. That's what that's how you that's how you win. You gotta get to the quarterback. So you're bringing Casey you have shelby Harris. You bring him back on a one year deal had six sacks last year could be on a tear trying to prove that he can do it again and then you got. Aj The cornerback. So he's going to be your number one corner. They went defense. They WANNA be able to stop that Kansas City offense. I mean they're they're pretty tough so that's why they loaded up on. Defense. I'm going with a B. That's my great okay. I don't think that's alright. Not Terrible right now to the chargers who finished last in the division with a five eleven record. La brought in former green bay tackle. Brian Laga as well as limbaugh. Joseph and Chris Harris Junior defensive side and then they will look different course without Philip rivers and Velvet Gordon but are looking to the future with former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert Field. A grade or the chargers will wendy first of all those the ditch. Rob's classroom are welcome right here and Casa Dei professor Yate because I'll hand out and a-minus to the Los Angeles chargers. I love some of the things. They did defensively Chris. Harris on a two year contract very versatile slot but also perimeter Corner Lindvall Joseph a big body in the middle of that defense four to five that run defense in the first round they land there. Heir-apparent Philip rivers in Justin herber and also trade back into the first round to get Kenneth Murray a plug in play inside linebacker out of Oklahoma who? I expect to be a candidate for rookie of the Year on defense. I wish they had done a little bit. More work at the left tackle spot on their offensive line but trading away Russell Oconee for Trade Turner who the best moves of the offseason. A minus. For me I fair enough. The chiefs again won the division. Each of the past four seasons they are the heir apparent and of course the defending Super Bowl Champs as well realizing my potential has been what my career out things that I've dreamed about actually come true sooner. Things have happened in my life as I kind of hope they would happen. It's been I mean just a complete evolution kind of fighting and claw continue to to powerful forward. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other in keep trying to make progress into when I look at over Twenty Years Calabar. I've caught but there's not one step that I took where I realized. Look how far I've come.

"That's Nice I mean we have five creative powerhouse sitting here around the table so we don't need to lift Jack from anyone. Let's get to it this new von Vervet it was in trouble when he laid out Damon Laham Out Jack Doyle the colts tight end was in a prone position he was he was vulnerable. He was already his momentum had stopped and Bertha comes from the other side and crack some helmet to helmet and knowing perfects history and his background on the fines fines and suspensions for dangerous play. You knew something was coming. Well it really did come. Perfect is done for the year. rap sheet reported that he he a suspect he's been suspended for the rest of the season for his hit on doyle rap. She reported perfect will appeal the suspension and it's it's interesting little note to this. The raiders are in the United Kingdom this weekend for game as part of the London series and perfect flew to London just come right back to the United States because he play Nomo well isn't he free to my question to I think you guys over on our Texas. Alexa was once you've landed in London and you no longer have a job to do between now and you know at best next July or something why not do what Ricky's doing when she does have a job and just vanished to Lisbon points unknown throughout Europe. Why are you flying back to Oakland? They could you get the free flight you know free. You don't have to pay for I'm sure on the way back say that save a little money on tests perfect just closed lining random tourists across Europe Jon Runyan. NFL VP of football operations nations in a released following each of your previous rule violations you were warned by me and each of the jointly appointed appeal officers that future future violations would result in escalated accountability measures however you have continued to flagrantly abuse rules designated to protect yourself and your opponents from unnecessary unnecessary risk your extensive history of rules violations is factored into this decision and Frank Reich coach told reporters on Monday the he's just thankful the League took the action it did this goes back to college where he had twenty two flagrant penalties in thirty seven games at Arizona State which helped him slide through the two thousand twelve draft undrafted immediate almost immediately upon getting to the NFL two thousand fourteen he's find for intentionally twisting the ankles ankles of Cam Newton and Greg Olsen after the play he lines up Max Williams former ravens tight end for a terrible cheap shot in week seventeen not long after lines up Antonio Brown for a cheap shot on the head. once knocked out three steelers for for the game in one season this guy I mean he's just this is what he's done his whole career he has he'll end up playing forty seven of a possible ninety six games since two thousand fourteen. He's unavailable to his team. Half the time key is important part of that defense which is not very good at linebacker he had been up and down played pretty well this year and they have to hear whitehead they had one of the hard knocks stars Jason. What was his name Jason Cabinda who they wanNA bring back now from Detroit like they've cut some of these guys and then another team picks them up and they have no indepth it is it is a really bad defense that I think on in a given week get steamed up by a pretty good coordinator but just talent wise mayock has not been able He hasn't had the time to fix everything that's going on on that side of the ball they're in trouble also was flagged twelve grand for flipping off that's called using your middle finger. Dan The bird to the crowd using the word aimed at fans also against him once shoved camera man to the ground just because he happened to run into them and then he was still standing right he didn't get suspended spending for this and he got suspended for everything he's done in the NFL in terms of it being this long. If a different person had had this same hit I think they might have been suspended but it certainly wouldn't be it's like the reverse of the Academy award that goes to someone for like they're twelve best movie but they're almost done and so you've gotta get that thing. When Scorsese got best director for was that movie The departed a great movie of a very highly watchable movie Re watchable movie Nice Nice piece of work for Scorsese easy but not anything close to his best work which he never got a honored for anyway good Scorsese Talk? I thought we don't talk about this too much just because because where can we go with it but there were too many headshots and week four too many shots to the head too many guys leaving on stretchers and I applaud anything that leads to more ejections actions more suspensions you gotta get it out of the game and these guys are wearing helmets that are bigger than ever harder than ever and they're not afraid when they go into make a tackle. They're we're not afraid of their own head and I start losing games. That's when coaches will pay attention and put a stop to this. moving on terrible news the Denver Broncos who as we know are really scuffling the season Owen four and now they lose one of their best players for the year pass rusher Bradley Chubb Tours. ACL is a partial tear of his ACL. He's out for the season. James Palmer reported this on Monday. ESPN I had it Vic. FANGIO JIO can confirmed it to reporters. Chubb Actually left the Game Multiple Times against the Jaguars. came back finished out the game with the knee. The injury came to the facility on Monday. It wasn't feeling right to get the MRI and they get the bad news. It's also I believe seven years to the day since the the injury came since he last tours acl so he's actually now torn the ACL twice in the same way which is obviously not great news for a second getting your player who's when right I know the broncos defense as a whole got off to a slow start but shove looked like a superstar once he got hot last year as a rookie and his backup from last year is now leading the NFL and sacks for the Tampa Bay buccaneers Shaq Barrett Vic Vic Fangio didn't have bad luck. He'd have no luck at all this this Broncos team is experiencing. Some old school country music hard times right in your Chubb is one of the guys who build around he had such a good preseason. He had the fourth most votes predicting defensive player of the year on NFL DOT com three people picked him only Khalil Mack Myles Garrett Aaron Donald had more which is a little silly that he was two votes ahead of von Miller but either way that was like the expectations for this guy going into the year and I don't know if there's there's there's worst teams like the bengals and Redskins in dolphins but I don't know if any fan base is more bummed out right now than Denver just because of how swift defaults been from their their championship and just how hopeless it feels right now that is a deep like father to son mother to daughter Fan base. You do not like that does not you don't become the child in Denver that suddenly roots for some other team that having lived there that place is all about the Broncos from head to toe and it was amazing to see chub making plays on the field after he hurt his knee and big plays and that was von Miller Chubb gave you no matter what the team's record it was an immediate identity that focus any primetime game around you'd spend thirty five forty minutes talking about Xiaobin von Miller and when that's gone by by the time you're heading Indu October in that coaching staff and Vic Fangio is got to be some of these dudes. I just wonder if if he could reverse time you'd say put me back doc in that Chicago booth. I wanted to be back there. They offer smoking cigars as opposed to the steelers. They lost their last game against the Jaguars and now to me the broncos. Jonkers are more interesting from like a human laboratory perspective. WHO's checking out under adversity the rest of the way I like this West so we've we have the corner an animal game at Owen to we've now established the last stand game from three outfits and you can see a last stand game when you watch the game the emotion they're planning von Miller doing dances through the Jaguars Agwu offensive line when they get penalized and he's out there playing with like one hundred and ten percent intensity defensive swarming and then men she was an eleven minute driving it all goes in the Gardner? Menchu breaks teams but you can you yeah the titans have not been able to rebound from that that lashing he gave him the last game that it can happen any time of the year though right. I mean you could have a five in seventy s about to say five and seven was the number that came on as well sometimes last Dan Games pop up yeah different stretches of the season could have December last stand game from a team that might have started out for no and is now I mean almost every team has won. However quartered animal game is specifically specifically applied to Owen two outfits that must be made clear? What is an ornate team trying to get their first win? What we're calling it animal? I mean they've been dead for Ah The smell coming off that that's the great guy be war. That's got like a Hugh Jackson game out. Okay another star player out for the year Kyi Short the pants the panthers pro bowl defensive Lineman who had missed each of the past two weeks after suffering a rotator cuff tear in shoulder while the panthers decide this is not gonna work out so they put him on the are and he will miss the rest of the season. The panthers have signed Defensive Lineman Brian Cox Junior from the pre. Is that the Brian Cox. It's his son. Does he have the big pads on the back the whole or yeah Never Brian Cox Junior from the practice squad to fill the spot on the active roster auster big loss there greg massive. It's been under the radar that they've improved their defense last two games without him. It says something about the Star power this team that you can lose Cam Newton short in win two games and you still have guys like Christian McCaffrey and Leuke Klay Two of the best you know players going on their respective sides of the ball all still on the field. Not many teams have like top list like that but this this massive he he's been their best defensive player a lot behind keithly for a long time they've also hooked into the unbreakable trend at the moment that if you have a player named shack on your roster he's going to be electric. Shock Thomson is coming off one of his best S. performances in a long time but they you're right you look up Mario Addison never gets mentioned always productive they have dudes and they found a way to do sort of a soft reboot food of that defense where you kept key guys around but the secondary is is a different cast allowing the fewest yards per game in the NFL passing gene wise they are tied for the Patriots for the most sacks in the NFL and that's without KK short for the last Great News for International Player Program graduate FAO Bata uh-huh who's been playing inside lately. I was a big story last year and it's going to get some more snap a lot of hype around a lot of buzz around the possibility that Murray's ball ringer lingering somewhere right now cincinnati still police so isn't he hurt though hatheway program whether he will continue to get that spotlight treatment from the around the NFL podcast. It's an ongoing discussion internally it will leave it at that for now well. There's other players to talk about Yaacob. Johnson and I mean the the Patriots so much of them. They wouldn't even use that little special spot because they thought they might have to have them in the regular season and who is making a big black on a key first I down in the fourth quarter last week yakup Johnson Jake of its Yaacob at a certain point Lobos Scholarship why does everything why does adapt turnaround and be negative can there be are you just because there's a lot of that happening from you so Dan Slug Greg is afraid of Henry and in Henry's cutting way about him. Most people are afraid of Ken Henry Yeah and I ran but I just I have to call space baiting okay then just point out that Mogo camp scholarship forever Henry directly scouted many of these international players a lot of working out so I would say overall Henry's track record record as a scout..

"He did Patriots bills just yesterday. He'll be calling in. He's doing Ravens steelers next week game for the steelers big game the steelers their next tour at home. They gotTa Win this one. I mean Andy Dalton. They all know is is one of the most not ready for Primetime quarterbacks based on his record a I'm serious I mean I'm not saying facts are facts under the lights bengals our own three steelers row and three. It is a desperate situation. There's only a handful of Owen four teams games one. We assume is going to join this group. The Washington redskins and the Miami Dolphins and the loser of tonight's night's Game Owen four is a couple of Owen three teams as well but I'll tell you about but there's another own fourteen and the Denver Broncos suffered potentially their biggest loss of the season Bradley Chubb Bob. One of the top pass rushers drafted last year and He's The guy who book ends with Von Miller. You can't just double team von. Miller with this kid on the other side not expect something to go wrong. He tore his knee up yesterday and he's done for the year. He got one back in the game with his knee injury too so that's big news for the Owen four Denver broncos. One of the top pass rushers in the League is out Daniel Jeremiah my compadres from from the NFL Media Group tweeted out about a couple of hours ago as Denver's about to come to Los Angeles to take on the chargers team. He does the radio for Warner Warner. He's a he said it's not gonNA happen but I'm wondering if Denver would put von Miller on the market now a caller before said that the Broncos should tank and give the dolphins a run for their money not bad idea to wouldn't look bad and orange either now too is the answer to what they need so there's that Jalen hurts. Would you take jalen hurts. I overall say Denver has the third pick no no he's been dynamite for Oklahoma one and done fangio Ohio Lincoln Riley. How many one and does what are you. "To into the I AFC NFC south here just a little bit it's will also talk a little bit about everybody's doing their award predictions they are doing their predictions of the season Benjamin put out his predictions at all right in a file a we will shred them the absolutely shred them coming over the top there because that's what we're doing right now they are but as the one guy who puts his money where his mouth is for each division winner and or playoff team that I miss on I don't need a hundred dollars to paralyzed veterans of America so you find if you find somebody else out there is doing that let me know. I appreciate that about you you were wrong but the Seahawks last year that was I do remember that yeah I have the first pick I said that they were gonna be the worst team in the league yeah actually change that like a week later that wasn't actually something up on the official production she I just tweeted out likely July and that by midway through the preseason well that's that's gonna be wrong yeah I ended up picking yours on and they did end up being the number one pick when they did it have been the number one pick and that's because you don't like Josh rose. I'm not all it's because I look at that staff and that roster head I was like old. kind of like looking at that staff that roster this year been like wolf was version the defenses of the ball but mainly quarterback but mainly in the business of the ball yeah. your tribe for calling I don't know why I had to be honestly I love the fact that Arizona they made a great move quarterback bringing counselor to the practice squad. all right the other three oh three seven three eighty five eighty five I am I just I don't feel like I should indulge you on that okay so we heard a John Elway earlier on Joe Flacco issue this other cut from John Elway on be excited about the improvements to this team it's been a long offseason that may I think that you know try to launch the long training camp but I think that you know work Saturdays from inside where we are men because that about convicting the coaching staff what they've done and and you know the the the offseason the O. J. as well as throughout training camp or where we're headed there I think with rich gang relative yeah thank you you know coordinator that things are going to be able to do offensively and that is the fix knowledge of the defense in fact I think gives us something that you know we're all excited to watch and see how they play and I think we're gonna be much better on the defensive side so hopefully you know we feel good about where we are I think that's expanding parted and the other that is what makes this time of year side is vented the I'll see if I get to training camp and you know now we go see him we take our test and see what we have yeah he's excited like. eight times in there and and you know what this is that time of year you got you are excited about what you've done because you put a lot of planning in place when it comes to. free agency period you put a lot of planning a place to the draft the roster construction all the cuts look yeah I do in the dreams for the most part of thirty or so guys and so when you're in that position as a GM and the staff you hope all the moves you made a put you in position to win and and John Elway even in this interview went on to say how you know like I I go in every single game with the belief that we can win that game I there is a one match up even when the team is not that great is a one match up but I don't see a way a path to winning but is that excitement for me is it some is placed but it's also based on a lot of ifs because he talked about risk a gorilla they're for example we know the defense is trying to be good so that part I actually will give him a little Vic Vic Fangio defense is solid. but the if of risking a row it's a pretty significant one. I don't want to get into why I think it will not work. but we have to all least say out loud the rich gang Torello really hasn't done this before at the pro level we also have to say out loud that if it doesn't work what is the answer what is the plan B. if the office does get on track as you put it bye week three week four well you're gonna rely heavily on the run game at that point are you going to refer your scale back and your annual rely heavily heavily on the run game at that point interesting some interesting data points I was going over some numbers and stuff less you know Broncos were the slowest playing team in the NFL last year. slows playing whether hand you'd like to see that continue weather ahead or behind they were they played the slowest on offense even behind wow one of the when the slowest teens terrible yeah. the staff is just an interesting thing to note there are playing behind a lot yeah. he's always playing teams a part of that is is eight oh plays per game that kind of thing so you're it when you're running the ball your feet the clock a lot more and you know you give your plays off but they remember moments of what they should have urgency and they just didn't and they just didn't I think it was I was the Texans game right where they were huddling upgrade just going to wait right yet waste in ten seconds per play in the yeah yeah there's there's there's several games we saw things like that it's it's one of those things where that's got to improve this year but if you have problems in this office has processed on track but we three weeks for you scale back you go heavily in the run game I mean just heavy lead on the one to attack and and occasionally hoped the GL Flacco hitting the the tide is taken the tide and out so that's that's the adjustment if expansion says look at style work guy eight bridge I appreciate all the creativity and yes we want to see the offense take the next step in evolution but if it's not there your scale back you're going to use that to type once you know single back too tight and and you're running the ball you know had signs all running now you you know you kind of use and Royce Freeman between the tackles you kinda using filled Lindsay on the outsides on stuff I and that's what you're doing at that point if if and that's that's your worst case scenario if everything goes wrong yeah and I don't think it's going to be that bad but it it looked at the inside the twenties right we we all believe that's gonna be just fine but I tell you what man if they get to this raiders game they can score touchdowns and then you get the bears game you're gonna have to find a way to score touchdowns even against the bears to what do you believe Mr Brzeski or not they're gonna they're gonna score on you and the Packers Green Bay they're gonna find a way Rogers closes yeah he's he's a pretty dang good closer and and and so on and so forth so you told me week three week four is when we really can expect the offense to to really legalistic we be firing on all cylinders are as close to it as we can't and and I'm but you could be one three in that time frame a price will be the defense's fault right do you what you need to know is in that if you are in three that point is it specifically because the could be special teams lapses. you know I mean what what's going on to create those losses and so you need to figure out if if the offense is just looks bad if it looks putrid then you know you'll know where that where to hang that that L.. but I don't think that's going to be the case I take the you know the raiders are a good I don't call it a warm up game because that's that's that's being disingenuous there is defense is not good but it's not that bad. I think the you have to treat that those kind of like that this is what we want to get on on sink on on temple on the same page everything I got to carry that over into the next three games where we have some tough defense we got apply. in the next the next three games you kids bears. I mean that's that's a pretty tough defense yeah Vic Fangio got hired off that were you two teams at that you've got what Green Bay in Jacksonville yeah yeah I mean great green bay's defense is actually really good model she's been Green Bay yeah I'd say it's been bad last couple years Mike Patton is turn that into something that's that's when things that that team is slowly started to shift from being an officer team to a defensive team. you still have your Rogers back there you go watch out for that but that that difference is good and then do you know the jags the jags you know that that's going to be good so that the Titans are on the rise Chargers heart good up more great defenses so eat the raiders are really the only weak defense you get out the gate to kind of get on that same page thank goodness it's week want to get on the same page and they go for from there you'll be able to tell me you get the third quarter that gave and and people are still not on the same page you'll be able to tell you'll know where to where to go with the plan hi good stuff thrill three someone three eighty five eighty five so again you can check out the full interview with John Elway add to Kaylee Colorado dot com I wanna play some sound from Derek Carr really engaging today with the media and joking around and having some fun and so what is going to pour through a few these cuts we will get to the sound by Chris Harris is really the jewel of the whole thing because there is being nice to your opponents and then there's calling a hall of Famers and he did kind of go a little bit over the top on prisoners but it was kind of cool so we'll play that sound bite her second but a first. this is a bit of big hot topic about how much. players should be playing in the pre season how much value the you have a pre season although we do our car broke down the pre season was really valuable because he he differentiated between the value for young players and the value for vets. and and that's something we probably don't spend enough time on we say I I think we just say it out loud there's there's a lot of value for the young players but in the in the the decisions that are being made about the vets is actually what's really the reason why preseason might end up going away or at least parts of it so here's what that their car had to say about breaking down about playing the preseason. the way that the NFL stronger yeah I would agree you know we want to look around August leak and usually pains really not even I mean I think I was like twelve quarterbacks yet he currently but did anyone take one yeah and with the late actresses are nowadays and age combined Joint practices we actually get more out of those joint practices with you go crazy yeah to be honest you know for a for a rookie quarterback for a second year quarterback I think the more they can play in the preseason the better to be honest a lot of boards that pass rush is different than just practice but as you play that number years and have fun Miller has tackled you enough you don't need to get it was much in the previews so you know you can try to get back into the swing of things with practicing your timing. hit the ground running come week one yeah I like that a little sort of observation on how many times von Miller hits you and how much you don't really need that to get von Miller did play a ton in the preseason either so it is point there is is valid because the vets usually the high in contracts the one you can't afford to get hurt I mean are you do you remember hard knocks when Jon Gruden made a huge point about don't touch the quarterbacks dot that's the guy that's the one guy changes everything it was same thing for Joe Flacco Billy Joe Flacco is the long term as for the Broncos not Joe Flacco goes down this season takes on entirely different perspective well yeah if Joe Flacco goes down season's over does really matter who the backup is at this point if you didn't bring Brian Hoyer in you weren't serious about having a back up the win you're you're trying to find a guy that'll tide you over till drew lock is able to get in there and and try to develop it was "Mitchell trubisky excuse that's one to you got to remember that when they started last season this is the anniversary of khalil mack being traded to the bears right now. This is the anniversary he basically was dropped down to the field at green bay opening night. Let's go get them big guy and he never had a training camp. I've never had the o._t. As you never had many camp he never had a chance to get acclimated and he had to deal with an ankle sprain so you got a whole year of khalil. Mack roquan smith held out for twenty days and then strained his hamstring because there's a big difference working out in the gym and working out football shape and now this this guy has shown you. He's an amazing talent. I think he has a chance to be a phenomenal football player in year two so if you add those two different things together together the defense could be better. Maybe won't have as many turnovers thirty six including six for touchdown last year but i still think their defense is going to be really really good and then on top of the whole thing. They've added more pieces offensively. I think the running game is a far better running back room that what they had and that's not a shot at jordan our he just wasn't a fit it. What matt nagy likes to do so added all think it's a better football from the perspective on the rest of the division. Is it specifically. I guess we'll start. I the green bay packers team that they play on thursday or do people think that packers team is back under new head coach matt lefleur. I think that fans because it's aaron rodgers and because it's green bay and they've had our number for quite a while. I think they believe that this packers team is back. I'm not convinced that it is. I don't believe that there is counted as people wanna make them out to be. I have a friend who covers that team has for a long time and i spoke to him the other day and i said okay gimme your low down on it. He said they're overrated. They're overrated kid. I'm telling you he goes. I've covered this team for more than two decades and i just don't think they have enough talent. Yet will can get there at some point in the next couple of years yes but he said right now. I do not think the green bay packers are all that and so he does not believe they will win the game on thursday. I don't either the bears are going to win. It fairly comfortably. Wait let me jump back one one step on the bears <hes> because the naysayers will will bring up the departure of vic fangio jio to the denver broncos. Now's their head coach. That'll be that'll be the view of those who think that the bears <hes> come back down to earth defensively u._c. At differently i do because i think again as they said khalil's now healthy and one hundred percent integrated into our community and our system and he has a a huge presence in that room. That's one to roquan three. I think you have a team that is going to be more aggressive under chuck pagano. Vic vic fangio's a great football coach and that's why he's now the head coach of the denver broncos. Chuck pagano is not a slouch by any stretch of the imagination so well. I really believe this. Team is taking the field with an incredible chip on their shoulder. They are furious. How last year ended because they truly believe after they had dominated. The los angeles rams here in chicago that they were gonna go out to l._a..

"One day. Thirty six one day, you're gonna care. Kyla Murray becomes a Bronco lake Dave, and I want that will be during the draft that will not happen in Indy. Vic Vic Fangio John Elway talking tomorrow. And it'll be called a saw a picture of color Murray today at the combine they said he weighed two oh five. So he's thick. It's getting bigger question is sick. Will he run it that way or will he drop down and try to run superfast pro day? Like if you really prove everybody wrong get out there and run mile or whatever Saturday, but it seemed like it got everybody's attention. How big how he isn't. They want him bigger. Yeah. That's that's the concern for him. And it was pointed out the Russell Wilson way to four. So Colin Murray's about the same size. Russell Wilson ever gets hurt. Russell Wilson knows how to slide better than any quarterback. And you got to think that Kylie Maria with his baseball background also knows how to say, you know, does not know how to slide maybe the worst slider in football. Joe flacco Joe flacco, it's a tie between. He and RG three RG three was a hurdler didn't play baseball. We get it say China jump over people, and he could get rock and Joe flacco looks like he'd never slid in his life. Yeah. I didn't know that. But he's a big, dude. He's you know, he can take hits better than a little guy. Can't and he's not not all that mobile is a pocket passer. Are you worried about Joe flacco? No, no, no, the four times a year that he'll get outside the pocket. Painting hit right when he slides it looks like he's about to get high ankle sprains on both ankles. And twist both knees. Okay. Another big sports story today. It looks like the Rockies are about to sign Nolan Aeronautica to what will be the biggest deal in the history of baseball. Nado. I don't know. Let's ask Tracy Tracy said Aaron auto. Let's ask him but Nolan said are not on the train. That's true. So I'm going with Iran and your listeners keep saying are not. Oh, yeah. Tracy wrinkles be last week. Call the mirror Nado, drew Goodman, and Jack Corrigan and Jerry all switched to arenando. After hearing the train announcement. No, one said, whatever Nolan doesn't care. But he's gonna get a big check. It looks like he could have a two hundred sixty million dollar deal. Over eight years. We have that kind of money. Yeah. I don't know in the past. They would never do a deal like this other Rockies have not been one of those teams that steps up and pays players full market value like this. But they were going to lose the they probably wouldn't be able to keep them. If they if they didn't do the deal. It's not official yet. But it looks like it's been reported by a lot of people that they're finalizing the details east and play baseball. I would have your kid play baseball. Murray thinking the really serious, really really Asli Cuyler you save your brain. And you make triple the amount of money to be fair though, other than a rod no the third baseman. I mean Cabrera signed big money, but moved to I most people haven't signed it isn't a highest position player deal out of all time. What's the easiest position in baseball? Like, you know, like the kicker the punt h. Would you just go into the major leagues with the D H being a D H? I think some people probably have done that because they've just a strong hitter. But not a good over from college. Or whatever I would think starting pitcher would be the way to go have him throw you only play every fifth game. They get big contracts to pitchers get really big contra what if you're closer. You could just be coming in for the last inning of every game. Closer though, you got a ton of pressure. Every time you come in. Name is on the line. Best jobs, either seventh or eighth inning setup man or platoon. The best job is like the platoon infielder that plays every day game. Once a week what I'm talking about maximizing money, and yeah, you know, where you get the most amount of money for the least amount of pressure is starting pitcher. No. Because that's a lot of max Scherzer Clayton Kershaw money. It's coming with the pressure. David price. All those guys. It's yeah. How do you maximize the dollar with the least amount of pressure in the basement is not an easy sport. I think is the bottom line leftfielder. Leftfielder? Yeah. That would be a good one to play. You may be only have what three four chances a game at a ball in the in the game. At the time. They'll go over your head into the standards, either a home run or well, I don't know maybe right field in Yankee Stadium with short. Field at Fenway or left field at Fenway DHS. Well, you got played off the WALDO right field and Yankee Stadium or Fenway, and you've got short porches. So you're just watching the ball sale over your head. And just kind of hanging out. I base it and bad. How about a golfer coughing? Well NASCAR driver, not every guy in the PGA tour is making a lot of money. Now, just a top fifty guys a lot of them do but. Guys in the PGA tour. You never heard of guys who make money that you've never heard that are probably still making pretty good money, but make an bucks a year baseball. Here you want the media average twenty eleven so this is a while back. This is what Google offers us eleven. So I had eight years to round up a little two hundred sixty one pro players played in PGA tour events in one money number one was Luke Donald that year at six point six million six point six eight three Jose Maria will made six d three hundred playing. The median earnings earnings. No endorsements six hundred and twenty eight grand is the guy in the middle. Around one thirty. Plus, you have your travel expenses your agent and your man. So you're not you're not making money. Now, you've got to pay taxes on it. You're paying your caddy. Ten percent driver..

"A deal to make former Arizona coach Bruce Arians their next coach you wait a larger unlikely to get fire. You lose a lot you're likely to be kicked to the curb. Six new coaches already hired in the NFL to still to come. It's kinda outta kickoff on ESPN radio presented by progressive insurance. Matt Joe's data Lobski Meyer met castle. Here is who has been hired so far Arizona's hired former Texas Tech coach cliff Kingsbury the jets the former dolphins coach Adam gays. You've got the Packers with Matt flora the Browns, keep it in house of Freddie kitchens. The Broncos bringing bears defensive coordinator Vic, Vic, Fangio bucks. Bring in Bruce Arians and reports are now from Adam Schefter that the dolphins are zeroing in on the patriots, Brian Florez and the Bengals or waiting on Zack Taylor. So those are the we have six finalized Kingsbury ler kitchens, Fangio and Aryan. So I'll start with you, Dan. Of those six which do you like the best? And which do you think is reached that? Maybe you don't think was the best decision. Why don't we got like just do one? We can't do a couple that we like he's gotta be one does because you have to leave other things for us to say if you say. Then we have no words to say. I will say my favorite is is Freddie kitchens in Cleveland. I do like cliff Kingsbury I'm getting it in. But I liked the fact that Cleveland had kitchens on staff they go to they go from the twenty nine th offense to the first offense. He has given this offense and identity in how they want to run their place. Everyone knows the impact that he had on Baker Mayfield and his performance in how we protected him and utilizing personnel, and I liked the fact that Dorsey the general manager for Cleveland, definitely went through some interviews. But at the same time was like, wait, I've got a guy here that might be my Sean Payton to drew Brees. Like, this might be the okay, let's let's let's see what we have here in go insane. This guy is our head coach and Lau him to put together that staff that he wants. So we can continue to impact our young quarterback is I don't want to necessarily have our young quarterback come in and lose head coach. And then have an intern head coach success. And then bring another head coach and all these different people in his ear. So I like the fact that Dorsey did that the one that I dislike the most is I'm I'm taking to Matt. So get over it. He's taking all these. I'm going to say Denver with Fangio, and I'd love Vic Fangio, but I don't like the fact that Denver then wanted to hire Gary kubiak but wanted to dictate to Gary kubiak as their coordinator who he could hire. That makes no sense to me when teams do that. But the greatest one is the jets because it's been clear rules has said it himself who's the head coach of Baylor University that the jets wanted to hire him, which I would have absolutely been thought of a home run hire. But hey, Matt we get to pick your staff like I don't get that. I don't get how you can say we want you to lead us, but we want we want to pick who you get to do it with like that is so seasoning. And so that's why I say I don't like the jets won. Because of that Myron. I'm on the opposite of Dan as usual Fangio to me is the best. I mean, this guy who'd been waiting forever to get a job. It's been a coordinator. I think five spots. Has really been doing this from the ground a little late eighties. He was a high school assistant coach, you know. Now here he is do you worry though that in a league that continues to focus on offense? He's the defense guy. Not if he gives smart guys around him. I mean, I think he's been enough of a veteran, and he's been a part of the transformation in the NFL. He knows how to surround himself was smart personnel. I mean, he just worked with a guy. Matt Nagy who kind of fits that profile of? Okay. How do you adapt to today's NFL? I think that's the smartest pick. The worst. Pick is by far cliff Kingsbury who did nothing to earn that job in Arizona who did nothing to you know, to me even get into the interview room. Like, this is a guy got fired at Texas Tech. And I guess, you know, because he worked with Patrick Mahomes that is sort of his, you know, his fame now. Okay. Everybody wants to find the next batch homes, but I'm gonna seventy five Patrick Mahomes. Because I want to let but here's the problem. Hold my comment. Here's the problem. We can get into all the issues about merit qualifications. How a guy like Kingsbury gets into the Roman. Here's the bottom line for me. The thirty two coaches in the NFL are supposed to be thirty two of the best leaders in America. These guys will forget, okay. Xs and os, and who has this resume at the end of the day. You are picked because you are a great leader. Where's the proof that cliff Kingsbury has ever been a great leader? Where's the starting point was to anybody listening room? What was that was the proof that he is a proof of that is going to get fired Texas Tech the proof that. Before this. This is not a guy who has a proven track record of being a great leader. And to me that is the biggest flaw in this entire process. How do you get that job? If you haven't proven that there's no proof that he's not a great, Texas Tech. That's gonna be your if that's gonna be your scenario. There's no proof. I'm not a great coach. I mean, there's no no, no, there's not I've never coached. So you can't say there's when you say there's no proof if I'm gonna give one of the thirty two jobs, I need to have affirmative proof. But it is countdown to kickoff on ESPN radio. Let me do mind before Dan his head's going to explode that you've got after that. I would say the easiest pick for me is the worst one which is the jets with Adam gays. Yeah. Like, I don't know you talk about not being not showing deserves the job. He's had a job. It didn't work. It didn't work with multiple dudes. I get didn't work with hill. Didn't work with Cutler like like it didn't work. So what makes me think it's gonna work? And you're you're if I'm in that division, and I look, and I say, hey, there's this team in my division that hasn't succeeded. The let me see it'd be as if the Bengals brought in Hugh Jackson, right? It's like let me bring the dude in my division that's failed. And let's try letting fail for another team. And I got a great quarterback there. I want to give the dude to set him up for the future. I don't understand that one at all as far as the one. I liked the best I sort of agree with Dan with Freddie kitchens. I mean, I do think at some point you wanna talk about actually when somebody's show success. They should be rewarded and he did. And so I would give it to him. Let me just say. Kingsbury? I don't think he deserves the job, and Dan, I don't think he's going to necessarily succeed. But I do think it is a a risk reward. He might be amazing. He might be a huge bust. If I'm the cardinals. I don't mind trying that. But I do think it is for me. It's not outrageous. What was that for me? It's not outrageous. It's hilarious that they hire the Texas Tech. Yeah. Gets fires a coach and the NFL goes, I gotta have that dude. That just got fired from Texas Tech. I think that's funny if nothing else. Yeah, I get that. And we see the the Kingsbury hire the same way. Matt like, why not I get it? First of all, you're the cardinals rights to your smaller market team. And if you're if you're the team that I appreciate them trying to get ahead of this and going this league is very much so trending offensively. We all know that in the rules in space and the college game is coming. So why not get ahead of it? I know I everyone wants to the next McVay. Right. And we've said on my renew even said it there's just not that many McVeigh's. But I can appreciate teams trying to find them. I can appreciate teams trying to go. If we don't have somebody like that. We don't have a chance and the thing with McVay, and the Rams was this when they hired Sean McVeigh everybody. Even within their organization unequivocally felt this hires too early. But everyone also believed he was going to be a really good head coach. So we wanted to get him before somebody else did we don't know with glitz Kingsbury is not a great leader. We don't know if it'll translate to the NFL we know his head coach though. Larry. Tech. But the people there are people back to McVay saying, yes, he's young, but he has proven himself and other stops. And we believe he has that potential share. That is not the conversation. Sprung Kingsbury the conversation around Kingsbury is this guy fell to Texas Tech this guy, Patrick Mahomes and didn't win big. And you can say, okay. This is he didn't have a defense in the NFL you need a defense to win. So that either that's eventually has not proven anything and to put himself in this position. Well, let me just say something guys hang on. Let me say something that I do think is interesting about all these hires and Adam Schefter is reporting today that all that a lot of these new coach contracts have provisions in about how much these coaches will or will not get paid. There's a work stoppage in twenty twenty one. I find that to be very interesting. This idea that they are team soap think there's going to be a work stoppage in twenty twenty one that they are putting in the contracts, and the new coaches how little they will have to pay them. If there's a work stoppage in two thousand twenty twenty twenty one that to me is very interesting now six teams are already out of the play offs. Which one of those teams is most likely to make noise six year. That's next. I can't kickoff on ESPN radio..

"Comparison you go so we talked we had straight talk. Yes segment. Right. It's time for some sex talk. Oh, yeah. So excited to do that until you six listen, I think defense is sexy. I think old guys that can still master the game is pretty sexy. We've got a couple of those guys we got weird ideas. Please Fangio Vic Fangio bears defensive quarter thirty two years after his last of you for a head coaching job. Finally gets a second chance. It was officially introduced yesterday as the new head coach of the Denver Broncos. And he was asked why? Now that he finally think he was a head coaching candidate. Basically, I've always felt I'd never fit the match of the profile of what certain teams we're looking for. Or you know, I was with teams that weren't succeeding at that time. Fortunately match the profile of what John was looking for. And we formed a good marriage. So good. He's been the head of some really good defense is longtime and quite honestly, he doesn't fit the mold in today's head coaching in the NFL. So that that makes us even wilder and understand what trace head again this, man. The last head coaching interview we had was thirty two. Years ago that stunning to me. And now he doesn't fit the mold more than ever so kudos to him. And John Elway for making this higher because this guy has has put together some excellent defense is over the years say he's one of the few people in this coaching cycle did is north of thirty five and not an offensive placeholder shook hands with Sean McVeigh. He's checks. None of the boxes for a coaching hire this off season. And yet somehow found his way which is a testament to what does bears defense was this last season. And just how shocking and other worldly, it was and also how much John Elway doesn't want someone else in the building with an opinion on quarterbacks that that's exactly by the way. How great is it? This guy goes from what he had in Chicago, which was pretty darn excellent Yip to von Miller, Bradley Chubb, and this defense what she loves to be aggressive on. This is gonna be fun to watch. Absolutely Vic Vic Fangio sixty years old. So he's he's he's bucking the mold. Also buck in the bold is what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did. Hiring Bruce Arians who will be sixty seven next October after a year in the booth in a year away from the Arizona Cardinals. And let's just say GM Jason life before the press conference had all the time in the world to come up with the exact. That he wanted to describe how he felt about Brazilians, and he came up with this spent the last couple of days here. Trying to think of the word that's display itself. Honored I am to be here to help introduce you guys here to Tampa. And I guess it's just frigging excited. Okay. We wanted somebody that would command of the room and command the moment Bruce checks that we wanted somebody with a proven track record not just as a coach. But also developing players developing coaches, Bruce checks that we wanted somebody that was going to bring swagger and those late nineties teams here in Tampa early two thousand Super Bowl that team was full swag. Bruce checks that last just that factor that you really can't explain. But once again, anybody that's around. Bruce knows the Bruce has it. I think we'll we'll just hire. Right. We like this. Here's my only concern about this last person to say he was frigging excited saying it was a pretty fricking big deal about head coach. That was Mark Davis of the raiders when he hired Jon Gruden. Five words, it did not go. Well in twenty eight teams, we want it to be right. This. Bruce, we.

"We had a couple of head coach is introduced in the NFL yesterday cliff Kingsbury Matlock floor varying backgrounds, but neither one has been a head coach in the NFL. Until now, I think they both hit the right notes properly deferential when it comes to the opportunities they've been given. But we did get some information about about both of them as well as about the process, which I found fascinating. So we'll get to that coming up. But the latest news is three more Domino's drop. On Wednesday evening, Adam gays get the job over Mike McCarthy, and the others who were vying for the jets position so op surprised by this one mostly because it's inside the AFC east. I'm not sure why I felt like that wasn't going to happen or that was just odd. You think the patriots are scared? Just the honest. Do we think the passer going? Ooh, he's not leaving our division. I mean, maybe hey, just going back to two thousand thirteen shoe. I should know this right? Because of my my background didn't know it was the year. They won the Super Bowl. The Broncos beat the patriots AFC championship. I mean that was an Adam gates offense. Right. I know maybe they aren't quaking in their boots. I laugh because I kid because I think it's ridiculous anyway, Adam gaze moves from Miami to New York. And the big thing is is the Sam darnold piece. That's why Mike McCarthy, by the way. We'll take two thousand nine hundred off and he would like to return to coaching in twenty twenty. But this was the only job that he was interested in. All right. So a little bit about cases background. You may remember. Offensive coordinator with the Broncos high-scoring offense and NFL history. They got blown out of the Super Bowl then that year they won the Super Bowl. Of course. He turned Brock Osweiler into a viable starting quarterback. I'm just saying. Moves to Chicago with John FOX. And you're a member Jay Cutler had a really good season in two thousand fifteen then of course, he moved to Miami where he had both Brock Tober as well. As Jay Cutler for awhile and part of the reason that he and Stephen Ross had a falling out in Miami. Because he was committed to Ryan tannehill. And Ross was over it Ross. The owner the boss was done. So the jets decide Adam Ghaith is the right fix for Sam darnold at least. He knows what's coming as an NFL head coach. It's more than what you can save a lot of the guys who are getting hired. So no Mike McCarthy in two thousand nineteen though he does want to coach again, the Broncos decide they'll go defense and experience how about that. John elway. He's done the no experience thing. Now, he's going with experience and he's going defensive side of the ball. Where most of the hires are offense, even Bruce Arians. Who is of course, not a brand new commodity is an offensive guy. But John Elway wanted to experience and Vic Fangio getting a lot of applause for finally having an opportunity to run his own team. Most recently four years with the bears as defensive coordinator. But he's been in the NFL more than three decades as a coach or coordinator at some level. Steve atwater Sparta the Broncos hall of fame Super Bowl winner going back to the late nineties. So going back to the days of John Elway, man. He was one of the hardest. Hitters I've ever seen in the NFL. That was that was your grandfather's NFL. He spoke about the hiring of a Vic Fangio to Broncos dot com. He's a guy who's been in the league for a long time coast. Like, you said a lot of really good players, and we have a player who's very similar to Khalil Mack. And yes, one person. Hey, Khalil max better. Yes. Other person. I know all of us by Miller's the better player. But he does he maximize the potential of the players, and I think we can. All defense. Play up to their full potential all of last year know, the only thing that concerns me about coach Fangio is that the stability, isn't there? Like I've seen with coach Macek. Okay. So Vic Vic Fangio gets the job. Does not munch had been a head coach before is most recently with the Steelers as their offensive line coach. The experience is what John Elway wanted. He settled on Fangio and that brings us to the Cleveland Browns. This one surprised me a little I tweeted about it. When the news broke on Wednesday. Not not surprised that they hired. Freddie kitchens. That does not surprise me. What surprises me is the dumping of Greg Williams. And maybe the two guys couldn't coexist. Maybe Greg Williams. Wasn't going to settle for being leapfrog by kitchens. What for the Browns to fire him as opposed to him leaving on his own? I thought was odd. And what I've heard from my Cleveland Browns source is that it was all about the ego. Williams wasn't going to be able to coexist with with kitchens after he got passed over for the job. And that it may John Dorsey nervous considering the Hugh Jackson. Todd Haley dynamic the fact that there were reported to be you know, some brick Shannon, some some fraction in the locker room. Because of those two guys the John Dorsey didn't want to deal with it. It reminded him too much of the problems that they had before they just got rid of. And so he relieved Greg Williams of his defensive coordinator duties, again, that's what I've heard from my source in Cleveland. I'm not surprised the Browns went offense. Either. Here's the one point that I will make though if you blame the coach when things go horribly wrong, then the coach needs to get credit when things go, right? And here's the narrative that I've heard this had nothing to do with Greg Williams. Are you kidding me? Of course, it did. If you're going to blame Hugh Jackson. For the way, they started and didn't take advantage of their opportunities not even thinking back to the sixteenth season. But if you're going to say the Browns initial problems this season were the fault of Hugh Jackson, then you need to give credit to Greg Williams who took over as the interim and still ran the defense. The defense did have a bunch of injuries. But still for a while in the NFL was the top team in terms of takeaways. Budget young guys on it. But most importantly, the voice of Greg Williams. The leadership of Greg Williams kept that team together. So it's crazy. How you guys? Can twist the narrative. It was the coaches fault that they sucked, but the coach that actually took it over and turn them around and lead them to a five and three record. It's good that he's gone because he stinks now. I mean, you're gonna give all the credit to Freddie kitchen. I love that. As fans we shape the narrative. However, we would like it to be. So I'm surprised that Greg Williams got fired. You may not be. And maybe it wasn't dynamic that was going to work. But Williams deserves a ton of credit for what he did there in Cleveland. "We had a couple of head coach is introduced in the NFL yesterday cliff Kingsbury Matlock floor varying backgrounds, but neither one has been a head coach in the NFL. Until now, I think they both hit the right notes properly deferential when it comes to the opportunities they've been given. On Wednesday evening. Adam gays gets the job over Mike McCarthy, and the others who were vying for the jets position so op surprised by this one mostly because it's inside the AFC east. I'm not sure why I felt like that wasn't going to happen or that was just odd. You think the patriots are scared? Just be honest. Do we think the pats are going? Ooh, he's not leaving our division. I mean, maybe hey, just going back to two thousand thirteen she I should know this, right? Because of my my background didn't know it was the year. They won the Super Bowl of the Broncos beat the patriots AFC championship. I mean that was an Adam gay offense. Right. I know maybe they are quaking in their boots. I laugh because I kid because I think it's ridiculous. Anyway, Adam gaze moves from Miami to New York. And the big thing is is the Sam darnold piece. That's why Mike McCarthy, by the way. We'll take two thousand nineteen off and he would like to return to coaching in twenty twenty. But this was the only job that he was interested in. All right. So a little bit about gazes background. You may remember. Offense coordinator with the Broncos highest scoring offense and NFL history. They got blown out of the Super Bowl. Then that year they won the Super Bowl. Of course. He turned Brock Osweiler into a viable starting quarterback. I'm just saying. Moves to Chicago with John FOX. And you're a member Jay Cutler had a really good season in two thousand fifteen then of course, he moved to Miami where he had both Brock Tober as well. As Jay Cutler for a while. And part of the reason that he and Stephen Ross had a falling out in Miami. Because he was committed to Ryan tannehill. And Ross was over it Ross. The owner the boss was done. So the jets decide Adam cases, the right fix for Sam darnold at least. He knows what's coming as an NFL head coach it's more than what you can save a lot of the guys who are getting hired. "That's why we draft this kinda guy number two overall. I expect that to happen in two thousand nineteen from your lips Louis Riddick. Joining us Waddle and Silvy on ESPN one thousand Waddell ass be an interesting question. But I think this is better for you. Because you know, Matt Nagy as well as anybody if you were to sit down with him in the next day or to have a beer with him shoot. The you know what? Here. Very shortly. You do. Yeah. I'll see. Okay. So do you believe he's second guessing himself today over some part of the game plan? There's always look as well, as I know coaches, they always do there's always called they once back, and it may not be a call so obvious us, but maybe a play called back later between in certain situations where they said, you know, what this one worked out better than that. Or? Yeah. There's always those situations. But in this game in particular, it was the one where somehow eastern for you know, philosophically has the wrong approach going into the game. Now, he's going. I really just blew not second guessing my entire methodology in terms of high prepared my football team. There's no reason that it came down to there's many many teams that it came down to one play which was the difference between maybe starting this dynasty being someone who who's forgotten about because you weren't able to make that one looking out the New England Patriots started off their entire dynasty that they have going on up there is because Adam beneficiary make some just absolutely ridiculous kicks in a snow covered field in basically a blizzard. That really got them go that got everything going for them. And every player to a man if they're talking about the fact that atom doesn't make. Kicks against the raiders. Who knows what happens to the pay? Who knows? Who knows it build even coaching the team? I mean who knows there's all kinds of things that float around that organization as far as what those kicks to the future of that team. So all the things that maybe the second guessing himself about table to get that ball up and over needs up and over feel go back. And he put it right down the middle. And it goes through talking about the bears still being on track. We're talking about. Now, how do they match up to the rest of the how can build on that fourth quarter performance and take it to the next level in the divisional round. What what it would be asinine right now? All of a sudden start going. Okay. The bears rethink everything that's doing they need to go back to the drawing board. Maybe that's not that good of a coast. Maybe the defense. I've heard stuff like, oh, you know, Khalil Mack shrinks and the biggest moments. Maybe he's not that good. Jon Gruden made the right? Call sits shipping them out of there. It's just like shut. Knock it off. Ridiculous. But you know, what that is? That's like that's like the world right now. That's people sitting down in their basement. You know, God knows doing what just waiting for a reason to come out and say, I told you so I told you so I wanting to be negative about the bears have nothing to feel bad about other than the fact that they lost the game, and they can't move on. But that's the nature of sports, but this football team as long as it's managed properly. Why why shouldn't it be managed properly going forward? Right. Going to be there. That's going to be there. He has to replace Vic key players are going to be back teams to beat. I love how some of the leaders stepped up with this football team and talked about how special they felt this team. What akiem Hicks comments about coding party for some of the best? You'll see. I think this team is set up and I'm hoping in two thousand nineteen out that way more hot pockets down here. That's the Twitter. Exactly. That's exactly what I'm talk. Yeah. I know I know where you're going with that. I you mentioned this earlier Lewis and look they've got as good a defense crew of defensive personnel pl- players as there is in the league, but how disruptive possibly can the loss of Vic Fangio p for this team. Oh, it could be used some. I mean, you know, it could be huge. Instilled? You are the one on that headset is talking to the guy who received your call and the helmet out there on the football field. And that offense is changing personnel. Groupings up peppering. You you can you can talk about it in a meeting room, or in an interview setting all you want and sound like a genius. But until you're under the gun. You don't know how guys are gonna react and big has proven over the years. He's the man he gets he's cool. Calm and collected. I remember coach telling me that one time about the difference between being a chalkboard coordinator and being a real life coordinator. There's some people who can talk it and put it up on a greaseboard you'd be like that guy is going to go to the whole thing as a coordinator as a play car, but until you put him on then you put them on the headset and they shrink crop in a ball in the field position. This'll be a crucial crucial higher for this for this team going forward because it's the strength of the team the engine that drives his team. So who's he going to get the maintain some continuity? You know, in the players have talked about the players have talked about the fact that that was a key. That was she head coaching higher rather. We've painting Vic Vic Fangio this year is one of the best things that Matt did. So now, how's he going to keep that in tech? Is that Donna tell whose contract is up from what I understand. Yeah. You're going to be able to keep them. There is going gonna take him out. There to them is gonna call. The defense is in Denver. So it really become really defensive coordinator in Denver. What's that dynamic going to be in Chicago? You would assume hey, he's the man that just turns it over to him. This is a guy was back background, which is which is exactly to me the perfect profile for successful because the coordinators guys who see from the top down, meaning secondary coaches by trade who then become coordinators. I'm sure right. Now, I'm sure he's fine. Like hell to make sure he doesn't lose him. 'cause he knows that's the strength of this. Rather than strength. Donatella leaves Lewis. Can you give us a name or two or three that you know, that could make sense for the bears DC what? You know, what I was thinking about that a little bit for came on? And I don't I don't really know. And I don't want to throw names out there because what can delicate is more than just about Xs and os. It is it's it's about philosophically understanding entrusting how guys going to call a game based on how the team is set up and what the team needs to have done, and obviously they had that kind of relationship, and they understood that there's plenty of guys like I said who can actually know to death. I don't know who Matt right now is thinking has that kind of. She would have that kind of chemistry with and have that kind of trust with. 'cause it's a it's crucial. I'm you know, it's crucial. Because like I said this is the most right now, it's it's the dominant phase of this football team. So I don't want to say that. And I don't like to destroy names out there without really having some kind of basis behind really believing that it would be a successful candidate. I don't know what again a couple of days I'll call in. And I'll tell you who I think give me some time on that one. No. What do you make you mentioned this earlier to what do you make of some of the other recent by recent I mean over the last several hours head coaching hires that you know, what struck me with some of the things Michael Bidwell will saying down there in Arizona when they ask why did they think what did he think cliff Kingsbury was the perfect guy or the guy to lead? You'll cardinals going forward. Why was he the guy's head coach? He mentioned nothing about what you can. Or rather? What I think about when I think here's the perfect guy. This is the reason why when I interviewed him he struck me as being the dude who was supposed to be the CEO and the leader of my friends. He said nothing about leadership credibility, competence is impact on others, it organisation, his ability to identify who he wants his football team to be relative to what we have on the roster already who he has in mind as far as helping put together this vision that he has why I thought he was long-term really help out. This franchise take it to the next level and pulled out of the doldrums. They could something that all the fans could be product. And then get into maybe the next one is actually knows and his area of expertise about how he can help. Josh Rosen and open up this offense. And all he went right to you. Hey offenses at Texas Tech were explosive man than they were putting a crazy numbers. And throwing the ball around. The NFL is now. And basically I want some of that. That's it. I'm going. Wow. So are we really at that point now in the NFL where just tell me who the coordinator are coordinators are coordinated offense at Dickey's numbers and use lots of five wise you go empty. It has lots of like go rouses puts his bombs bombs away. You know, this whole this whole thing. I've already tweeted about who's next Sean make day. I wanted though who's the next summit? I'm so tired of hearing that really that's what it's become now. All we need to do. Now is this look at final stat sheet of offense coordinator, and or fired head coach who's offenses are putting up the best numbers. I really don't give a damn about what the leadership characteristics are like what's the organization is like they're gonna throw three agency or the draft for OTA's or training camp or what kind of planes. They want to travel on what kind of food. They wanna you know, what kind of field. They want to practice on what kind of I don't care about any of that. There's tell me who's putting up numbers. Tell me. Because that's what it's almost. Because that's what it sounds like it's become based on what I heard in that conference in particular that wasn't the answer. I was expecting. Maybe there was a lot more to it. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe there is maybe I'm just jumping the gun about what Michael good. Well, said to me, I'm going no wonder, no wonder, some teams changing coaches all the time. No. If you remember last year from what I from what I read. They they interview Steve wills twice not once twice. And so far to map to one year. Instead, we got it wrong. Well, what the hell did you ask him in those two right? What did you ask him in those two two separate times that you still got it wrong? So why why did you feel so confident that this time when they asked what what is it that sold you on Kingsbury? Did you see his offense? Okay. Great. Hey, heart. Okay. So that's it. Then man, I wish I had enough money to own a team. Yeah. Great passion before we let you go. I want to bounce back to parkey. You're the general manager you gave this guy. Nine million guaranteed. You have five plus million dollars dead money..

"Another incumbent scowl on his face or the ravens. Right. Still is poorly. They played it is amazing. Also, I think the eagles magical run comes to an end in New Orleans. I think so I just think that the New Orleans home field advantage. It'll be too much for them. Yeah. And I think I think the the drew Brees and the eagles or excuse me. The saints will come out and throw at that secondary from. Yeah. They'll learn in somebody was saying that with us yesterday who we have on yesterday. That was brought up the exact same point that they're gonna Sean Payton gonna look at that. And he and drew Brees are going to see a young inexperienced beaten half the house secondary. And guess what they struggle with double moves. All right. Head against back. Yeah. Ted against back. Does that say loosens up a defense? Yeah. I think that it's probably coming to an end for the eagles run. It's been no, I think so it has it's been great. But I give them. I mean, listen, I give them a chance for sure. But I think it comes to Mike crazy to say that I'm going to remember the two thousand eighteen bear season. Very fondly. Even the way that you think. So you're right. Yeah. Well, some people disagreed with me. I was like I remember a fun season. Of course, you will a fun team. I told you early terrific regular season horrific postseason way. The worst. I remember Vic Fangio leading a defense that couldn't get off the field at the end of the game penalty to fourth down conversions gave up the touchdown lead. That's that's what I remember end of it. All that's got that on that final drive. It wasn't just the fourth down at score. But they converted a four seven to be. About that. Why said with no disrespect meant to you Karm. But I know they held him to sixteen points but a great regular season. But, but when you get into crunch time as we like to say money on the table time. You didn't get the dominance. You just didn't. So then what was the pull the trae bird at the end of the game? Was that thirty nine now within goal? Yes. I believe it will. Seven hundred and nine. Alcindor with the catch was incredible Sylvia's talking about down near the goal line is winning. I should go back and look at the tape of that. I mean, I'm an amateur. But you look at that. And you'll see nice design alshon started in the backfield. Yeah. That's like one of those clever creative. Good design plays by Doug Peterson. That makes go the guy does nobody's doing got a free release commoner and that was an easy pitch. And catch for that. I doubt it was a beautifully designed play by Doug. Peterson Jeffrey's in the backfield. Like, wait a minute. What look the narrative on the bears postseason could change a little it was as bad of a loss as you could have. But I said yesterday if they if they are truly the eighty four bears, and then they go to the Super Bowl next year will look back on and we'll frame it as hey team benefited from the really bad loss. You know, just like the oh five pairs the Steve Smith game. We all hated that game. What the bears do they came back six and they got to the Super Bowl. Now, if they if they have a step back here next year. We'll look back on it and say. You didn't make hay when you needed to make hay. And it'll be because in my humble opinion. The offense didn't make the strides. They needed to because the the likelihood that you're going to get now. Look defense is fantastic. Their front seven is ferocious. You've get to all pros in your secondary. But to think those guys are going to make twenty seven interceptions next year. Make every play that comes their way, they could because they're immensely talented. But the the likelihood of that happening in again is probably not high regression. So guess what you have to do. Your offense is going to have to carry a larger portion of the load than they did last this past year is going to be because Mitch is more comfortable in this offense to the people around him. And they make this natural. Look, I if you have the same offensive production next year that you had this year. You're not going to be twelve and four because I don't think the defense is going to do the same thing. They're going to be good. They can finish the typically number one overall again. But I think to get to where you want to go it's gonna be because your offense made a significant stride. I think you're right. I mean, you're gonna have to you have to you're gonna have to be somewhere around the top ten and often you've gotta make that kind of a jump where you're more. Consistent where they had plenty of games guys. Were they scored twenty or fewer, right? Pretty big look. They're scoring numbers were not scoring numbers were pretty darn good. You factor out the defensive scores. The number goes down. Obviously they were put in good position. I don't know where they ranked and overall field position this year, but they were given the ball and in very advantageous situations quite a bit. You can't rely on that consistently next year. So your offense. And I think they can make this strike. But the reason why they'll be good in doing some of the same stuff next year as well is going to be because their offense made improvement. It has to I was listening yesterday when you guys were talking to Peter King. And I think the news had just broken about areas. Was right. And you guys were kind of talking about that. And it sure sounded like okay, Bruce, Arians got the job and Todd Bowles is going with them. But they did you hear the story about the rich Eisen show. No rich Eisen is a reference. Rich Eisen is on. Now. Bruce Arians was just on like an hour and a half ago after the news came out that Fangio had gotten the job. Okay. After the news. It come out that the bears are are in the running for areas. Areas for Bowles Arians double down inside. It's common that him and bowls are together. So we'll see I mean, again, Todd Bowles if you remember the whole story Todd Bowles got an interview he was believed Ryan paces, I head coach interview Ryan pace the day that he was hired his first day on the job. Todd Bowles was already in the building while to be interviewed for the head coaching job at FOX our dachsie guy. So Ryan pace already had liked Todd Bowles. They couldn't. Give it to him because he was just Kenny gets footing as a general manager. Now, you've got the Nagy bowls connection. So and if you give a Vic Vic Fangio salary Tampa willing to pay like, I would hope the bears could offer them a little more money. I would hope he would like the bears job a little bit more. It's the number one defense on balls. I'm taking the job not because the money, but because they have this talent, and it will more than likely volt me back into. Why not use everything? Sure. If bulls takes it are we right back here one year from now like they have the top ranked defense in the NFL in bowls gets a head coaching job. Could right? I mean. Take him a couple of years, you think so. Yes. Because man, he's really highly regarded and well liked. Couple years didn't go. Well, I get that. But like what if what if they are even better defensively, you know, or you're all of a sudden teams a year from now, you know, there's going to be five or six jobs opening and somebody goes, well, we gotta give Todd Bowles. Another crack wasn't statistically the eighty six bears team defensively. Yes. Better than eighty-five, but they didn't get to this. But I'm just wondering like what they might hire bowls in a year from now he could get a hejab again. I mean, just how many defensive guys got a job this year. He's he's never time head coach. I know they did not hire any retread defensive guys. Everybody wants you're right. So the newness Avik because he had his offensive guy. Elway dead already. Yeah. So I think of me a year removed from the jets. I think so but I'll take my chances. I will I would love for that to be the bears defense is great and people want it. I'm with you. I'll I'll ride with it for twenty nine thousand nine I'll take my chance you're gonna have your pick of the litter who I mean if you're a defensive coach and you want to be a coordinator. You're going to call this franchise could be available in here. He could be that's very true. What are you can't play four three? When there's always there's always gonna be good guys available. Does put his hand in the dirt. Actually does. He could do he's done. But he did both in Oakland problem is on your other. I mean, Lloyd Floyd Floyd isn't going to be anything other than an outside linebacker in a three four plan the will. But then, you know. Yeah. You use the nine pick for a will. And like. All right. What's on the show today? So what will the bidders do at defensive coordinator? Do they get Todd Bowles? Bruce Arians, get to keep Todd Bowles will continue to follow it gives you some possible. Other names dann Wieder is gonna join us at three o'clock from the Tribune Louis Riddick a front office guy. He's very good on this stuff. I'm sure he's very opinionated. And who he would like he knows bent Nagy. Well, so foles to right, doesn't he? Yeah. Todd Bowles and collagen and the NFL. Yeah. Good player. Now, the guy we could reminiscent with. Don, probably doesn't remember. Don't you? Remember it a lot of he did Michael wilbon early today at four thirty. He's interviewing Jimmy Butler at five all sitting down with Jimmy Bucko. No, no, no. No. No, no, no Jimmy Jimmy Butler is allowing somebody to talk to him later today. Jimmy Johns JD at five thirty or commercial free from.

"Is a huge miss and John takes responsibility for that. He's also made some good moves some of the draft to this year a bunch of good young players. They've missed on other draft choices prior to this year. And so now, I think it's easy to identify kind of how they got there and those involved at the take ownership of it. But now, you say, okay, how do we get out of where we currently are? That's to me, that's the point. And I also want to say this in von didn't take issue with some of the comments that were made. And some of the speculation. We haven't heard anything like that from Bonn. But. It's it's it's symptomatic. I think of one of the problems the NFL has today because of the amount of money guys making I'm a player's guy. The guy should make as much money as they can't. Because goodness knows the clubs do that said you should not be above constructive criticism. When your play does not live up to what they think it is. And in the case of John Elway sane von had a good year. But vaughn's got to play better. I don't see anything wrong with that that comment. There's a whole bunch of dudes out there that in play to the level that they have to play bonds level is different than everybody else's level up there his levels higher. Right. That's why he's the great me. He's you know, he's going to be a hall of fame players. Rick said earlier, but it's okay to say you got to be better. That's okay. That's not that. That's not a disrespectful thing. That's not. You know, the player has. To feel like Ambien disrespected. That's you know, we've we've gotten into that the last eight to ten years where nobody coach can't criticize a player, you gotta make sure the plumbing all because of the amount of money involved in the sport. It's stupid. Something to about about Elway, and coaches, you hear people say he's a coach killer. All the mistakes. He's made with head coaches. I disagree with that. When you look the coaches he's hired FOX kubiak in Vance. No, Vance was a mistake. Granted. I don't think FOX was a mistake. They went to a Super Bowl with John FOX. They they were in really a tough situation coming off mcdaniels and when they hired John FOX they brought in a solid guy that turned it around. And then as Elway said when they they're they're partying was mutual. And I think it was I think John FOX was ready to move on. And do something else. And and the Elway thought. Okay, we can do better brought in his guy kubiak. They win a Super Bowl with kubiak kubiak had some health issues. If kubiak didn't have health issues what he's still beat the Broncos head coach. He would now. Vance Joseph was a mistake. So now that you made that mistake with Vance with a young guy with no experience, they're in a tough spot again because I don't know if they can afford to take another chance on a young up and coming so-called rising star that's never been a head coach. And I think that puts him in a bit of a tough position again to me, you gotta you gotta make the safe play bring in a month check or somebody like that were of Vic Fangio victims. You've never been a head coach true. But that concern for me. Yeah. But Vic Vic Fangio's been around a long. I mean, I think it will be pagawa when dole shakes out. But I think I think Vic Fangio still figures in this thing as of right now because he's been in the league thirty years because he's had success highly regarded on. On one side of the ball. And again, maybe we can find that communist while. I was struck by John Elway emphasizing. Hey, I wanna find somebody who's an expert on one side of the ball. So we'll see. Okay. Let's get a break for traffic. John morrissey. How we doing? Twenty-five.

"The Philadelphia Eagles three forty central time kick on Sunday afternoon in this game will air on NBC. You realize this is the first postseason game. Courtesy of bears. PR first postseason game. The bears have played on NBC said Super Bowl twenty in nineteen January nineteen Eighty-six when Merlin Olsen and dick Edberg were on the call, right? Oh, my oh. My. Piece. Holy smokes. And so we'll see if the bears can dispatch Philly and move on new Los Angeles. And that means we get duct Charles Davis to preview a playoff game. He's been with us throughout the season. He will be throughout football. And he joins us. Now. Charles good morning. How are you? My friend. Hello. Hello. Happy new year. Guys. Good to talk with you. Again, you too. So started the year you were all in that. You liked this bears team? I don't think either of us. We both liked him thought twelve and four fighting for a first round. Bye. But here they are where are you on this matchup, Chicago and Philadelphia? Yeah. Just recap very quickly. We did both like the bears yet. I remember correctly. And I need you to set me straight. So we don't get into this. Oh, yeah. I knew it all along thing. Okay. I think we were talking about nine when we were. Seven. Right. The playoff. Yeah. All right. So. It all came acropper for them. They got the twelve and four and I thought it was a significant win in Minnesota for the last game for year. I thought that was really significant not because it knocked Minnesota and put Philadelphia, Ian. But just teams on the ascent. I like to see him handle business that they don't have to handle if that makes any sense at all amid nothing really in a lot of ways. Yeah. They went out and got it done. And that was that was impressive. Here's where I am on this team to me they should be the favorite in this game the Super Bowl champs coming in. But this game mirrors to me last year. When Atlanta went to Los Angeles for their first round match up. The Rams you know that surprise team Sean McVeigh hot team hosting and here comes the team that went to the Super Bowl and blew it the year before and the Rams frankly weren't ready for prime time. You know, in my humble opinion watching that game last year that was much more about the Rams not being able to handle the moment, the stage and Atlanta having been there before and they ground out a tough victory on the road. And then went and took the eagles to the limit before getting out of the playoffs last year. That's my concern for Chicago in this one. Because there are a lot of similarities both of these teams kind of emerging coming off the pace both with young quarterbacks. You've never played in the playoffs before and taking on teams with experience the falcons in the Super Bowl last year the eagles winning the Super Bowl. So there are a lot of parallels that go into it. So of course, it always comes back to what how did you get him quarterback play on the big stage. How does your team handled the big stage Chicago's equipped for it? But I do see some similarities going into it that made me think back to last year's game with the Rams and the eagles. I mean Rampton the falcons so as Matt Nagy is drawing up his game plan. And he knows that this eagles secondary. Has guys like Ronald Darby, and Jalen mills on I are still have Malcolm Jenkins out there. But probably some place to be made in the in the secondary down the field. But he has the young inexperienced quarterback. How does he weigh that that's probably the way to attack? This eagles defence with. I gotta make sure Mitchell is not trying to bite off more than he can chew. How does he handle that? Yeah. I think everything you said is pretty spot off from my perspective. I don't know how bad you would look at it. But you know, it seems like a reasonable thing to talk about. I think that's when you're talking with your offensive line. And you're talking with your runner she talked with Jordan Howard, treat Cohen guys. There are place to be made down shield, but let's make them even easier for Mitchell to have a chance to make those plays downfield. But being able to run the ball well enough that we can throw it when we feel like it not just to you know. Okay. Now, we gotta swing. It around the other part is there's gotta be a little bit of of of. I think that they keep being on the governor a little bit early because it's so inviting to look at that tape and say, oh my God. Let's go get these guys. You might want to have a little patience. Make sure as you said your quarterback settled in make sure that he's okay to go. And if so then you take your shots out. Now, the flip side of all of that is we always talk about Brett Farr. And and when I say we collectively in football Brett Farr one of the best pieces of NFL films tape is what him coming off the field of my call. We're going. Okay. No more those rocket balls. Please. And Brett going. Yeah. We'll chinked up. Right. 'cause that's how Brett was you had to kind of weather the storm early with him because he's always so charged up but in the Super Bowl against the patriots. What did they do? They struck early right off the top let him fling it deep. It's Andrei rising and Green Bay's off to a fast start. So there is a school of thought that you take your young quarterback in a situation like that. And you say, you know, something let's us all that juice. You've got going right now. Let's go get them right away. I can't wait to see how Chicago decides to open this game. So everybody keeps saying to me. Look. Philly's got experience the quarterback has experienced at this level. It gives them a big advantage. Correct me if I'm wrong, they had zero experience of months ago, and they were able to successfully navigate all of this. How much does that play in that you talked about mixing little bit that Nichols has done this. But anytime he's had a chance to be a starter in another city. Other than one amazing near he's been very mediocre. Yeah. He's one of those guys that based on his career you like him in smaller doses rather than larger and for whatever reason he hit certain pockets where he's rolling, and you just gotta ride the hot hand. And he has that right now though, he's taken some pretty good shots last two weeks as in the. Yup. And had to get up and go what are you had at one point was twenty five in a row in the last game. He did. Oh, so so you we've seen this before. Look, I always come back to the experience factor comes into play. I think in the tough times in tough situations. It might not come into play as much if you get off to a good start and you start rolling. You know what I mean? Like if Trubisky and the offense gets going. You're not as worried about that down the stretch. Yeah. You might. 'cause I remember having this conversation with a couple of personnel people and a GMO last three weeks playoff football. And every one of them independently of each other said the exact same thing, I. Always look at not just who obviously we look through my teams playing but who's quarterbacking that other team. That's what I know if I'm scared or not because they wanna know if those guys are the ones that when push comes to show when the game has to go on one person shoulders, can that guy be the guy who can take on that responsibility and hurt me, and they would much rather play guys who haven't done it before. Just by the odds, they can prove it as opposed to saying, okay? Let me take entrepreneurs. Russell wilson. Tom Brady et cetera. Right makes up. That's what it comes. That's what it comes down to it in this ball game. Mitchell Trubisky is going to have to prove it Nick foles, even though last you're going into it. I think just about every eagles fan had an IV and there are and a cold compress on their head going into the playoffs. Don't don't don't let them fool you 'cause I talked to affiliate stations last year. Everyone was apoplectic going into the playoffs. Fold in his last appearance regular season guys. Do you know what he was on third down going into the playoffs? His last fifteen third downs. He was over fifteen. Wow. People were people were losing their mind back there. They were like God. It was a great year. Well, we squandered it off only cars that had got hurt and midway through the Atlanta game. He started to click and then wrote them all the way through. So that's why I don't get totally bent out of shape. We've seen backup quarterbacks do well before we've seen unexpected quarterbacks. Do well before the team around him can carry them a little bit too. Jeff Hostetler won a Super Bowl guys. Trek built Trent Dilfer people. Even though Trent was a former number one pick people forget about that. And said he couldn't play which was not true. But he quarterback that team gave them confidence galvanized because they wouldn't have won it with Tony Banks even with that defense. They needed someone who could take care of the ball and make he throws with the time came and Trent did that. But everybody still disparages him and said, oh my God. They want us to Dilfer. Well, if that's what we're going. Okay, fine. They did. But we've seen it happen. Nick foles won the Super Bowl one supposed to. So it's out there for four teams. Don't let people fully Brad Johnson won a Super Bowl. Tampa red Johnson. Brad Johnson couldn't be the clear starter at Florida state because he couldn't beat out Casey Weldon consistently think about that. So then had a pitchy near NFL career and won the Super Bowl. So you never know. Nick foles comes in here for summary. I mean, look those three wins down the stretch were impressive one of them being in Los Angeles. He he has great rapport with Al Shahed, Jeffrey, the key right there. That's an absolute key. Because for whatever reason went in Jeffrey, I don't think they have a problem with each other. But the connections not nearly the same as when foles is playing quarterback. Do you think you'll have the time for those chunk place to Jeffrey and to? You use it you think akiem Hicks and Khalil Eddie Goldman push in the middle of the pocket and Vic Vic Fangio draw things up. The plan obviously is for him to not have that type of time and foles as much better on deeper routes. Okay. So they've got to block that up. And that's an offense of line that struggles for a lot of the year. Jason Peters is absolute gamer. He's a first ballot hall of Famer. I can't remember a game that I've watched or prepared for where he didn't get dinged at least go out of the game before coming back in. That's why he's the ultimate gamer. All right. This guy wants to play, but he has been dinged all year long lane. Johnson wasn't nearly the same this year was last year. Right. Tackle if trade, you know, I'd say a bolo to for took over with new ski was newsy took back over per se. You get the idea it's been a line in a little bit of flux this year if I'm the bears, I see it as an opportunity. Okay. So where does this thing shake out if if Charles Davis is sitting there, and he's? He's not calling the game. He's just gonna watch it who you picking. And why I'm picking the bears in the game? And I'm picking them because I don't believe the Philadelphia can generate enough front game to keep the bare front interested in it. And if they're not interested in that front. They're interested in Nick foles, and they go get it. Now falls takes less. Saxon Wentz does. But I always caution people when they read those sacked bumpers..

"And you know, he's kind of like the new the new hot tool, whatever that's in a national fully. But he had Brad Stevens. But listen, I think overall players it doesn't matter if it's coming from Sean McVeigh players just want structure and be able to be able to be put in positions to win football games. And that comes from a lot of it can come from the coordinators income from you know, two guys like a Vic Vic Fangio who. I think is going to who deserves opportunity deficit coordinate with Chicago based so. Like, I said, it's office driven league. Everyone wants to talk about what Worcester hot new office guidance coming in. But ultimately players just want to be put in position to win. What's interesting? What's interesting about all this? You know, when you're talking about why why is there so much turnover? What's interesting when you look at the jets, the Broncos, the bucks, the bangles the dolphins and all these situations. It's interesting that the coaching staff gets turned over but the front offices remain intact. And they're being charged with going out. And then finding the next guy and you're right Daming. You're on the something here. Look the whole heads coats selection process is one that is sped up so much right now. And quite honestly is probably done way way way too quickly to the point where I think a lot of this is what's happening here is you're throwing darts at a dartboard with in many of these situations. And I don't know how you can really during this process really figure out whether or not philosophically as a general manager or as a team president or as an owner you really getting the right guy. To align with what you want in. What you see as the vision for your football team being able to recognize if this guy is telling you what you want whether or not you or even qualified to even be able to recognize if you're getting what you want. And then when you're talking about going up then and then going through free agency going through the draft. And then the most important part how you develop an implement these guys in your schemes and your philosophies once you get into training camp. There's no wonder this such a such a tremendous amount of turnover because this thing about all the things I just laid out right there. How in the heck could right now. Can you say that all of that just falls on the coach all of that is just a coach not executing on what was a fail-proof plan by the people who are picking them in the first place. So really if you wanna go and really back this whole thing up as to why there's so much turnover. Maybe we should look back at the process of how you are even finding coaches and building programs and then developing players using players on game day because all that stuff to me in my experience. All that stuff goes like this. It's all supposed to work. Fingers in a glove and work seamlessly. And if you can figure out that it was just the coaches, and it wasn't any other part of the football operation, then you're a lot smarter than many other people in your lot smarter than me because I just don't know how you can absolutely just separate the two and just go..
