"Like you could tolerate them on a one year deal if you didn't already go through everything you just did. But the guy basically thumbed his nose that you didn't want any of your multiyear extension offers, threatened to go to free agency, you know what he's put you through over the last couple of years, why would you possibly still want him? I think Kyrie did the Lakers is an inevitability. I think the only reason hasn't happened already is because they're trying to figure out the Kevin Durant part as well at the same time and while those things may not be related in terms of the same transaction, they have an impact on each other and besides that, they certainly don't want Russell Westbrook because Westbrook and Ben Simmons makes zero sense together. Westbrook makes zero sense for the next period, even if even if Simmons weren't there, so you're trying to find a way to create a multi team deal that sends Westbrook somewhere else but gets Kyrie to the Lakers and gets the nets some decent compensation. If that happens, if that happens tomorrow and Chris, you wanted them to make the case. Kevin Durant plus all the guys you just mentioned, plus whatever they just got back for Kyrie, even if it were just picks and some filler, I'd say it's still a pretty good team with a lot of upside because it's got Kevin Durant on it and Ben Simmons can return to what he was a couple of years ago potentially. So it's not implausible and the nets have never said anything publicly and probably won't because it's not the way they operate about Kevin Durant wanting out. Could they hold on to him? Sure. Is there a price to pay? Like it could be awkward. It could be uncomfortable, but he isn't under contract for four years and I absolutely a 100% agree with you on this. He's not Ben Simmons. He's not holding out. He's not only because it's a money sacrifice. Ben Simmons sacrificed millions of dollars, but Kevin Durant's 34 years old in September. He can not afford to burn any part of his career. He may not be happy. So that may not still be the best outcome for the nets to have an unhappy Kevin Durant who really wants to be somewhere else and every single day of the season from his training camp on is going to be have to be answering questions from knuckleheads like us about thought you didn't want to be here. How do you feel about it now? Are you feeling any better? You guys want a few games? Are you starting to feel better about the situation? Where would you like to be traded? Do you still want? That will be hanging over the legitimate questions though, too. Of course. If you don't want the questions, don't attach your name or rich kleinman's name to sourcing. Yes. Just the way it goes. Right, and if he wanted to tamp it down, he's got all the avenues in the world from his podcast to his Twitter that he's active on to all of his several burners. He could push back if he wanted to. He's not pushing back because he does one out. And he has to deal with the consequences of that if he's still here in the fall, which is to answer questions about it. It's all fair. I'm just saying, that's something that they're going to have to deal with if he's still on the books. But I agree. He's a hooper. The dude loves to bowl..

"Let's talk about it from Utah's perspective. And look, this go bear trade. Should not be surprising to anybody, just like a Donovan Mitchell deal, should not be surprising to anybody. I have covered Danny ainge for a long time. All of his time as an executive in Boston. If Danny ainge doesn't believe he can win a championship, it's not worth competing at a medium level to him. And this jazz team showed last season that they weren't able to compete for a championship. So he found a team. He always finds these desperate teams, right? You know, back in what was a 2013, the nets, they were desperate. They forked over all those draft picks in order to get their hands on Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce thinking they were the missing piece to a championship puzzle. Minnesota clearly a little desperate to add talent around towns and around Anthony Edwards. They fork over the four first round picks. I don't know what Brooklyn was thinking giving up a first round for Royce O'Neal, but that's a conversation for a little bit later on in the pod. But Danny ainge is not interested in being kind of average. He's not interested in being a middle of the pack team. He'd rather be a bottom feeding team and have a whole bunch of draft picks in his war chest than being a team that's just making the playoffs as a 6 seed and getting bounced on the first round. So we should have seen this coming from the decision to hire will hardy and give him a 5 year contract to the decision to trade Royce O'Neal, a close friend of Donovan Mitchell and getting a first round pick back in return to trading Rudy Gobert. Now, all the reports out there Howard right now. It's all saying the jazz intend to retool around dawn of Mitchell. And I'm not doubting it. I'm sure that's what the reporters hearing. I don't believe that for one second. I don't. Like, what is the point of having Donovan Mitchell on your roster right now? Like, what is it? Like Donovan Mitchell, unless you're trying so badly to have a representative in the 2023 All-Star Game in Salt Lake City. There's really no reason to have Donovan Mitchell on your roster. This is not a playoff team next year. You just did the rankings of teams ahead of Minnesota. I can count ten teams at least, maybe 11 that are better right now than the Utah Jazz. You look at the jazz starting lineup at the moment. It's what? Mike Conley, back end of his career. Donovan Mitchell, bouillon Bogdanovich, is there, and then there's two other slots that I don't even know..

"Players they gave up are not, they're not nothing. I mean, Malik Beasley was inconsistent, but he was okay. Patrick Beverly kind of the heart of that team last year, Jared Vanderbilt was a big part of their front court rotation. So they gave up pieces to go and get this guy. They added some guys, Kyle Anderson certainly makes some sense in that mix now as they're trying to form a playoff team, but I just wonder what they look like late in games and in the playoffs with those two guys because I get the comparison with the Cavaliers, but mobley's the guy that makes the Cavaliers work. I mean, Jared Allen is excellent at defending the rim, but mob was the guy that makes that team work. Now right. But those two, I'll just say just to quickly point this out. Those two defensively are better because of the amount of ground they can cover and especially have a mobley and the mobility that he has, but neither of those guys are like mobile is an evolving offensive player and can do some things with the ball in his hands for sure. Jared Allen is going to obviously put some numbers. He finishes a lot to remember everything else. But think about how much more talented and diverse an offensive game car Anthony towns has, which is what they don't have. So we're always playing this thing, right? Where you gain defensively lose offensively. But you are right. There is a concern that teams that are talented enough and versatile enough to play small without giving up too much at the defensive end could run one of the Timberwolves Biggs off the court at times or force them to make a choice basically between towns and Gobert and now you're not getting the full benefit of these two guys who are both making a shitload of money. Here's my other thought when this trade went down, I saw what the compensation was and the position to put Minnesota in. Did we just see Minnesota kind of become the Chicago of two years ago? I mean, remember what the bulls did. You know, a couple of years ago when they acquired vucevic and they went out and they picked up demar Derozan and they built this team. They signed Lonzo Ball. They built this team that you knew was going to be really good. But as you stack that team up against the other top tier teams in the conference, you wouldn't have picked them to win against any of those teams. You wouldn't have picked Chicago to beat Milwaukee, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston. They were in that middle of the pack. Maybe a little bit higher and certainly Lonzo's injury last year killed them on both ends of the floor. But that was a team that had a ceiling and still has a ceiling quite frankly. Did the Timberwolves just construct a team with a ceiling right now? And if they did, does it matter in Minnesota? Like you just made the point and we both talked about this. Two playoff series wins in the franchise's history. All happening in one year. Is it okay in Minnesota to be like the four seat every single year when a first round series and get knocked out in the second round? Like is that okay? Is that kind of what they're looking for at this point? Because, you know, unless Anthony Edwards goes to a stratospheric level, which is certainly possible. He's a great player. But unless Edwards does that..

"A whole new level for you and me, Chris. This relationship. Like and subscribe for the best weekly NBA content these two are capable of. What does that mean? It could be the best duo ever. I don't see how you can beat that. Here they are. Chris mannix and Howard back. And we are back crossover NBA podcast Chris mannix and Howard Baxter. Beck, we are now able to record this because I figured out what time zone that I'm in. Had some time zone issues early on in the day on Tuesday, but I figured it out. I'm in Salt Lake City. I'm here for the first day of the Salt Lake City slash Utah summer league. Somehow it got in my head that we were supposed to be going backwards in time when we're going or force the timer going backwards in time. I don't know what it was, but I may have left you hanging there earlier today. My apologies for that, my friend. I'm not sure if this is a time zone issue. I think this is a math issue. I think you got math problems. Well, I think it was time zone. I mean, for some reason, I thought, I don't know what I thought. Who cares? I don't want to do this again. I didn't do very well in math on the SAT. As long as we're now we're recording, we are connected, your hair looks manics like we're good to go. We're fine. Good to go. Good to go. Set to go. And Howard, this is going to be the first podcast in a couple of weeks. Where we do not open up with Kevin Durant. And we do not begin with the Brooklyn Nets. That's because the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves came out over the weekend. And blew the NBA storylines out of the water. Minnesota made a huge bet on Rudy Gobert trading for first round picks. Three of which are unprotected, along with Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverly, Jared Vanderbilt, leandra, hope of saying the name right. And the walk of Kessler, the number 22 pick in the draft this year. All for the right to call Rudy Gobert, they're starting center. So Howard, your initial thoughts on the stifle tower, making his move to Minneapolis. Man, I've got so many different thoughts, so many layers to thoughts here. We'll get through it all mind yours, whatever the people's reactions out there. It's a hard one. I don't have a definitive, this is great. I'm so impressed. There's too many different caveats in this. So let me just start with this though. On the Minnesota side, if nothing else, I admire the boldness, I admire the confidence it takes to make a deal this large, and that big of an investment, I admire them being all in, I admire the fact that, again, with these new owners and I know that Alex Rodriguez and Lori are not fully in control yet, it's them plus Glenn Taylor, but we're seeing the stamp they're putting on this with the bold moves they're making first in hiring Tim Connelly to run basketball ops and now this blockbuster trade and I feel like that is certainly more reflective of a big, bold new ownership than it is of the previous ownership..

"Things you didn't know about iHeartRadio's new podcast too much information. Number one, it explores the secret history and little known fascinating facts about your favorite movies, music, TV shows, and more. Number two, the show's brought to you by two trivia Titans with too much free time. My name's Jordan run Todd, and I'm Alex I go. We're two pop culture nerds and longtime listicle writers let off the leash. Yes, this leads us to fact number three. Over the last decade, we've written for places like People magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone and VH1. Number four during our career we've read the entirety of the Internet. And thanks to years of being extremely online, we've accrued tons of useless knowledge. And now we'd like to share some of that knowledge with you. And finally, number 5, get ready for behind the scenes details on Ocean's Eleven rugrats, jeopardy, the list goes on and so will we. But in a good way, we promise. Check out too much information. It's the good kind of information overload. New episodes are coming at you every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Listen to follow on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. All right, the Utah Jazz are done. So let's talk about them for a minute. This has been a tough year for the jazz, a year where, you know, they just didn't look right all season long, get into the playoffs. You think they've got a golden opportunity to advance the second round because Luka Dončić is injured in those first couple of games in Dallas and they don't get both there. You watch them play and the chemistry doesn't look great. The talent mix, it just doesn't look right. And more importantly, if you can't beat a Dallas team that was without Luca early, what makes you think if you bring this mix back next season, it's going to be any better. This team has been together for a while now. You've got Conley, Gobert, Mitchell, Bogdanovich. I mean, these guys have been teammates for two, three, four years. So, you know, it's not a question of give them another year together and things will get better. There's some, there might be a need for a substantial change here in Utah. When you look at the jazz off season, like what's the most pressing concern for you? What's the biggest priority for Danny ainge this off season? I think it's just starts with the global question, right? You sit back and you say, okay, has this thing run its course. That's the first thing. What do we do with Donovan Mitchell versus Rudy Gobert? It's not even necessarily what do we do with Quinn Snyder if Quinn asks out as has been rumored that Quinn might want to explore other possibilities, those are your three key figures and they are all very much in play, I believe, but this whole off season evaluation for them. I think starts with the basic question, do we actually have the outline and the foundation of an eventual contender here or is this it? Have we already plateaued? And I think to your point, Chris, you say 5 years, 5 years is a lifetime in the NBA, or in the life cycle of an NBA roster because we are in an era of unmitigated free agency and superstar empowerment and contracts that run no more than 5 years and for a lot of players four years and less. And so you don't have a long window. Even if you think you do, even though Donovan Mitchell's only 25 and Gobert is what? 29? 30? Late 20s, yeah. You could say that there's a window there that extends. But no one's that patient. Owners aren't that patient for an office is therefore can not afford to be that patient. And the stars themselves are not that patient. And we've already been hearing rumblings of Donovan Mitchell's impatience or his wandering eye or the possibility that he wants to go home to New York and play for the next and all these things. So you can not afford to just say, let's let it ride another year and maybe the brakes will come our way, especially when you've seen it. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you, let me sort of pin you down on this here. Do you believe that Rudy Gobert and dawn of a Mitchell are the foundation of a championship level team? I don't. I don't. And here's why. So each of them on their own, right? This has been the formula for success for them for regular season success. By the way, those 5 years that they've been together three first round exits to appearances in the second round. And they've been out in the first round four of the last 5 years, or excuse me three in the last four years. They've averaged about 51 wins. If you prorate the shortened seasons, they've averaged about 51 wins in an 82 game season. So that even that stat suggests this is a good but not great team. Great teams win in the high 50s to the 60s. They're consistently just above 50. So they're good. They're fine. They're solid. Here's where the problem is. So Rudy Gobert is an instant top 5 to top 7 defense, right? You put Rudy Gobert in any team in the NBA and build a defensive scheme around him. You're going to be an elite defensive team. Maybe even the best offensive team. Donovan Mitchell is in the mold of the modern do it all guard, high usage guard can do a lot with the ball in his hands, scoring and playmaking, shooting slashing whatever, although his three point shot still needs some work. But that's not the typical one, two punch that gets you to title contention. You either have to have your main offensive star has to be a total freak, literally, and Giannis case, you either need a freak like Giannis or Kevin Durant or LeBron James. Or an all time great shooter at Steph Curry's case, you need somebody who's elite offensively. Donovan Mitchell's very, very, very, very good offensively. He's not at that level. And you need an assemblage of other stars or guys who are near that all star level who can score. Rudy Gobert is your second star and he is not a nothing offensively, but he's not, he's not a score. He's not something that you rely on that end at all. So you have two guys who each on their own put you at a certain level, but I think it just has a ceiling on it. And at some point, you've got to try something different. Also, by the way, they got a ton of money wrapped up in Rudy Gobert. I think he's making like 38 million next season. And they've got that problem too. Just payroll wise. Gobert Mitchell and Mike Conley together make 91 million throw in bouillon Bogdanovich. That's a 110 million for four players. They have no flexibility whatsoever with this group. And there's no upside. Mike Conley is not going to get any better at this age. Bouillon Bogdanovich, not getting any better. Rudy Gobert is not going to suddenly turn into Shaq in the post. Donovan Mitchell is the one guy who can evolve still, but this has maxed out. If you are fine with just having a team that wins about 48 to 52 games and loses in the first or second round, you can continue on this path. But I don't see a path forward to make a deeper playoff run with you.

Phil Jackson blames Carmelo Anthony for the downfall of the Knicks

"Phil. Jackson was on a podcast with kobe. Carl carl's son. And he blamed the knicks failures during his tenure. There on carmelo anthony's lack of leadership. Is this a big deal or no deal. Well he didn't just blame it on. Carmelo anthony lack of leadership. He blamed it on everyone but himself. He blamed it on the new york media. He blamed carmelo anthony. He blamed derek fisher. Although there fisher. Does you know we love fisher on here. But he does deserve that one but he blamed on like five different people anyone but him he said. I should have coached the team but physically couldn't do it from a health perspective. I mean dog. You know what. I mean like the greatest coach of all time just because you weren't a good gm. We're not all good at everything. So i would say big deal only because he just like let it out on everybody but himself i feel like i got a glimpse into who he is as a coach to like. I always wondered if he fully appreciated how blessed he was to coach the men that he coached and to me. I'm not saying this is definitive but for me when you show an inability to take responsibilities for your thoughts right that suggest you have an ability to take too much credit for your successes correct. And so when. I am that quote i was like. I knew you didn't think that you were lucky to get jordan. Utah jazz looking to have you

The Utah Jazz extend their Home Game win streak

"Took advantage of a depleted Brooklyn Nets team to run the home win streak to 17 games with the 1 18 88 victory. Nets without all stars Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving and the Jazz wasted no time jumping to a 21 point first quarter lead. Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 27 points. We've had instances um in my time here where we've played, you know differently because guys have been out, you know, and I think tonight really showed the mental fortitude we had throughout the entire game to contain it, Toe. Keep your foot on the pedal. Boy, Um Bogdanovich and Mike Conley and at 18 points apiece for the Jazz, while Alyssa Johnson, making the most of a 10 Day contract led the Nets with 23 points and 15 rebounds. I'm Jim Bernard.

"What are the what are the major change that you've seen over the last forty to fifty years of being the business while it's financial part of it i mean it's it's it's really big business it's more corporate and in some ways i lament that i go. We don't have as many characters. He's when i first came later more corporate now however i tell people and i'll tell you just think about this for a second the jazz fee for entering the nba in nineteen seventy four. The expansion fee was six point. One five million dollars. When ryan smith just recently purchased a jazz or eighty percent of the jazz from the miller affect the price was one point. Six six billion dollar sets reported so with those numbers. When if you let that sink in it's more of a business. I mean there's so many people now on our medical service staff which takes care of the players. They have private shafts. It take care of the players more. There's analytics for for trainers now on injuries and the coaching staffs are bigger the scouting staffs for big with the front office staffs are bigger. So in some ways. I i like to say i gashed out. Remember the old days where i knew everybody very well by their first names in all of that we were small family unit. But you can't stop progress. I also have to tell people that this is the best shape the nba as bit ever been in because the resources are there to maximize that makes our jobs easier. I told the ownership of the time the miller family when we were able to purchase a first round draft. Pick to get rudy. go bear. i said you know. I'm the only one in the room that was around when we had to sell our first round draft. Pick and ordered. Stay in business for over a million dollars dominique wilkins. And now we're able to buy the twenty seven th pick for three million dollars and you could see what that's done so it's better for the ban. It's better for everybody else. The bigger staffs and all of that. But you know you can't you can't lose sight get.

"We had watched video on him. We operated back in those days where we had reports from kevin. But we didn't really even tell kevin who was. Kevin wilson was our european scout where it was located in spain that we were really interested in him but again we thought we had a pretty good player. I remember it was after that draft. I went to portugal to lisbon portugal scout. The world championships are it was under twenty and under and andre was just eighteen. We've just wrapped him. And that's the first time i've actually seen him in person and i thought oh boy we got another one we might. We might have got lucky again. And he was a very talented player e could pass the ball. He obviously could block shots. You know they talk about all these statistical things. He was the first with the by by five to be able to have like five points. Five assists five rebounds. Five steals five block shots in a game. You know he was. He was that versatile was never a great shooter but he had improved shooting. We hire jeff hornicek to come on. Help him with his shooting. We ended up in proving is shooting but out. He had a good career now in our system that we ran which was based on a lot of pick and roll things like that will stockton malone and all that. I'm not so sure. When i look back and think about it realistically would andrea been better in system or he could have been point forward because he was that good of a passer playmaker and maybe you know maybe in that system. He may have flourished even more but he had a great career. Great guy great family man. And i'm glad to see him doing well. Beautiful because they. You're going so in depth on a player that many people may be Today and twenty twenty one dollars. I think too much about but it's incredible thing about the story of someone who has such impact. Maybe the traditional stats. Maybe wouldn't show and you mentioned earlier. About how quickly coming in the late nineties. This year's jazz team is really really strong. Obviously as we have with the win streaks and with the way of the team's been playing as of late i'm curious. Maybe how this came about one of your first year is coming back with a jesuit drafted. Go bear what did he look like. Maybe around the draft time with with someone that was that was that big that may be athletic and versatile and casinos developed to this point where multi defensive player of the year. And all the things that come with that well you know. I was fortunate enough to have seen rudy as much younger player. One of the years of the lockout. That didn't last very long just a few months before the it started like july i. I think it was settled by october first. So we didn't miss any games thankfully but you know kevin o'connor be general manager at the times told me to go over to europe and he sat while parent at the time over to europe to you know scap there because obviously there was no summer leagues to scout That night scene ruby. And somebody pointed out is his father had played at with rick smits in college and rick was a longtime the indiana pacers and his father was a guy by the name of i think moody google so i saw rudy and he was very skinny guy so i'd seen him but i also saw shop walker and i mentioned that marquise hit the experience of being with the rim protector. Now did i know rudy was going to be that good. No not at all. Was i responsible not at all. You know kevin o'connor by then. We had a scout over in europe by the name of rich shoe brooks who had worked for a few other. Nba teams also worked for nike. He was all over rudy while pairing win over the san play at the time..

"They didn't but you know we. We accomplished a lot. I think in denver. But it's a crazy business so we had wanted division in two thousand five two thousand six and they came to In two thousand six prior to the start of the oh six oh seven season and said we're having a management change in. You're not part of it. And i said wow you know so. I was at that time about fifty three years old and decided that Had to start looking for a job you know. What was i going to do. That was the first time. And i said usually you'll get fired for losing but with one or division but that's part of the business so i immediately started back part time doing some scouting in the denver area for the jazz both advance. Nba pro scouting and colleges in the area and then they started a d. league team at the time before it was the g. league in jazz. We're going to be an affiliate but they did yet. At that point they asked me if i were comeback and be general manager. That team and i did that for a year. And it was called the utah flash and We played in orem utah which is about near provo with about forty miles south of salt way and i continued scout part-time from the jazz and then in another name. You're familiar with now. Was wound with the jazz in one of the great things that happened is i kept a good relationship so when i left the jazz kevin o'connor general manager at the time and he asked me if i had any recommendations and i recommended while parent. Who's now with the new york knicks as assistant gm and so while took my place and he hired a guy by the name of troy weaver. Who's now running the detroit pistons while troy was hired away from the jazz by oklahoma city which created an opening. So kevin came to me and said would you be willing to come back to the jazz as a scout Oh yes. I you know to get back in the nba. Of course i would do that. And that's how. I got back with the jazz in two thousand eight without getting too long boring. How i got to my present tied on position. Kevin i worked with kevin for a few years and then he called me. It was the last game of the las vegas summer league and he called to tell me that he was considering a career change. Basically he was thinking of stepping down as general manager of the team and If i had any recommendations or whatever and you know. I knew that they were going to make a decision so i've recommended i said i got one name for its dennis lindsay. Not that they listened to me by eventually ranch really they they got around to denison to replace. Kevin and kevin stayed on as a consultant. He's still with us as a consultant and When dennis came man he came to me and he said freddie. That's what people call me as a nickname one of the nicknames. I guess they called me. He said we don't have a pro personnel department. Would you be interested in heading up and starting for us tonight. Sedans out do whatever. I can do to help team and help us win. And if that's what you want me to do you know. Just tell me what you want out. Do the best i can. And so that's where the jazz started pro personal department. Dennis brought with them very sharp young man of san antonio as an intern and his name's bar taylor and doing a lot of the administrative work and sort of today that this was in two thousand twelve so i guess it's nine seasons later almost it taken the lead in the proper sanal..

"Then you know the whole time. I kept going the every practice that i could. Bill burqa at the time before he left the jazz and joining the lakers in the eighties. He had a scouting service for colleges called burke of us and were they hire outside scouts. And anytime. I had a chance. I would go with bill. He sorted taught me the ins and outs of scouting what they were looking for both from a exit. Oh stamp point and from player personnel standpoint. And so i just kept trying to as much as i could on the basketball side while i was working on the business side and in nineteen eighty seven frank. Layden was the coach and general manager team. And he said you know. I know you've always wanted to get the basketball. And i think i'm gonna hire a video guy and he said you know. I could hire a coach with more experience. But you know you you've showed a lot of interest in our give you a crack at it and so i got into that next thing. I was made an assistant coach and You know mainly concentrating on scouting the upcoming teams in the opponents and still doing video work. That's kind of how i got into basketball. And from there they said well. You've done a good job here now. We need help in the personnel department. Could you go out scouts. So i took on an additional title director scouting added to my sister coaching title. And did that took two thousand one when benn ver noggin. I'd never been recruited for kiki vandeweghe who now works in the league office and was a great player in the league. He came to me and said you know. I'm gonna be the gm of the nuggets in. I need experience in. You've been around for while it's nice way to say that. I was older by them but he asked me to come and be the assistant. Gm the nuggets. Which i did and five years and probably looking back it was. It was great experience but it wasn't the jazz that had been my life and in in all of that and so it was quite a difference. And i'm proud of our compliments that in a while i was in denver. I worked with great people in some of these names. You may know with the nuggets. Tommy sheppard who now runs. The washington wizards messiah jury was with us as a scout. Who's the president of toronto. Jeff weltman was the other assistant. Gm who's at orlando. You know besides kiki so you know. It was the continued learning experience. But it wasn't jazz and it wasn't maybe the same commitment you know. Denver's big broncos city they also have the rockies they have the avalanche you know in utah. Jazz are the only major professional Major league sports. "Lane from lakersnation.com and joining me tonight. Ron government Ron. How are you doing man? Doing great. Love seeing four straight wins out of the All-Star break. This is kind of exactly what we were hoping for. When when would they stumbled into the brake? Yeah, exactly. And you know what? It's not only was that a nice thing to pick up the fourth straight win, but we also saw the sons lose which means the Lakers are now back in second place gotta like that as well. Second place and only two games back the Jazz are in a bit of a tough stretch right now. They are only two games back of the Utah Jazz for the best record in basketball game or thought. I mean, we we did a video a couple of weeks ago and I said, you know what we shouldn't even try going after the Jazz. They're not given that one seat up and here they are kind of giving that one seat up. I mean, I thought I was going to make fun of the Jazz for dropping a game to the wizards, but I guess we're not really allowed to do that anymore because I dropped the games to the Wizards. Yeah, that's and that's how basketball math works. So I guess you're not allowed to do that. But the Lakers yeah 1 and 1/2 games back from the Utah Jazz now four-game winning streak and I love what I look at the standings and I see this I see Lakers four-game winning streak. I see all the the top teams the Jazz the sun's the Clippers their most recent performances all losses. It's a good day and then and then I glanced up and I take a look and we're dead. Where's the Boston Celtics? Oh, they're on a two-game losing streak and they're sitting in the 8th seed. Yeah, they could risk falling below the playoff line in the Eastern Conference. 'New Legacy,' New Lola: Why 'Space Jam' wanted to do better by one Tune

"On on the new space Jam Way Got lots more information on the new space camp film called Space Jam. A new Legacy film stars LeBron James playing himself who has a young son Dong, who wants to become a game developer. They get trapped in a digital world by a rogue A I. And it's upto LeBron Bugs Bunny and the rest of the tune squad to get them out of there against the evil goon squad. It has also been reported that Space Jam, too, will have a slew of N B A and W NBA stars including Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Clay Thompson and Shinobu McKay. He also got a first look at the re imagines, Lola Bunny, filmmaker Malcolm Lee told Entertainment Weekly about the re fresh quote. It's important to reflect the authenticity of strong capable female characters also said that this film is a better movie than space jam. All right, let's go. Better than the original space jam. That is a lofty goal. I believe it when I see it. LeBron James, though, is not even on the best team in the NBA right now. As of right now, that title goes to the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are 27 9 on the season. The next best teams in the league have 24 wins, so it was probably odd for them, at least when the two jazz players who are reserved for the NBA All Star game, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert were picked dead last in the All Star draft by team captains LeBron James and Kevin Durant. James said it was because he never played as the Utah jazz and video games when he was younger. No shade. Though the Jazz is most recent game was a lost, however, to the Philadelphia 70. Sixers and things got heated on the court. Mitchell was injected with 30.5 seconds left in overtime. He smashed a cooler as he left the court. Both he and go bear had words for what they thought was bad officiating in that loss. They were then each fined for being critical of the rest. Mitchell $25,000 and go bare $20,000. All the drama. Remember when artist said today? Oh god. McKay was in Space Jam. She's also in this Ah, conversation with Rudy Gobert, as he reflects on the season and his legacy. First of all, we have a great group of guys. You know, Like, Like I just said, when you have a group of a guy that's willing to sacrifice for one another and do all the little things to make each other better. You know, your team just go from here to here and, you know, obviously we have a lot of talent We have. Ah, Very good coach. We were pushing staff and I think we were very dumping a team up with both hands. You know, we still got ourselves. We still think that we are defensive team. Are the Utah Jazz a real threat

"Once play resumes in the second have Utah off to a tremendous start. 27 9 on the year they're doing it with great spacing, knocking down tons of threes and getting good looks while doing it, So I don't know if it's necessarily fool's gold. I don't think a bill to keep that pace up. Even if it is good looks. But they also played great defense is not a team that is just out there. Shooting the lights out from beyond the arc night in night out. They played tremendous defense. So Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and think about it, too. Where we've come from in a year, you know, a full year almost Um, where Rudy, go bear. Started the shutdown of sports. With Corona virus on the court. And you know, then gave it to his teammate Donovan Mitchell in there was talk throughout the course of, uh, you know, the off season one The pause was happening. The shutdown was happening that Mitchell was upset that there would be a break up with Utah between go burned out of a Mitchell and here we are now a year later. At the old Star break Utah 27 9 and have lost two straight by the way to get to those nine loss is still the best record in the NBA but led by all stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. So who cares what they get drafted? And some stupid, silly, gimmicky. Way to come up with the an All Star competition would team LeBron Verse team. Katie can't stand that, but anyway. Um, you know in the West Can Utah be taken seriously to beat a fully healthy Lakers team? We don't right now than awfully healthy with Anthony Davis out, but you have to assume he's going to come back healthy. And if he does Will the jazz be able to compete with them? That'll be the big story line of the Western Conference in the second half. Can the Clippers get things turned around a little bit were there you know, and now they've lost three straight. So have a good record, but still don't look like a championship contender. New coach. Same result. Same stuff with the Clippers, where they're not playing as well as expected. Phoenix has done a nice job and the West, but I don't know if anybody really takes them seriously, just yet. They're young team Chris Paul, leading them. And him and Booker been great, But I don't know the sons can do any real damage. Nice to see those from different teams

"We are back on. Get up and jay. Williams made his way to take a look at the game of the night last night. A good one between the jazz. And the pelicans and this one was all about ziad. Look at him. Going right equity go back just constantly challenging rudy gobert. He gets his shot blocked more than any other player in the league. But it doesn't matter because it's going to finish at the rim. He had fifteen points in the third quarter. Zion did look at them continuing here and just taking a straw once again. He loves eternal right shoulder. That's his patented move. Twenty-six ten last night for zion who was really emerging clear in his second season. Well let's take you to where this game is decided thirty seconds ago jazz are down by one. And here's the big sequence. J. will often miss from donovan mitchell. Donovan mitchell mrs baruch. I don't know if i call that over to bat call rudy gobert. That just much taller. But since i did it take another look at it here. That's go bear. He does get called for over the bag. Zion would make too so the pelicans of a three point lead in. Here's the final shot. Not a great look that the utah jazz get off. Zion gets the rebound josh. Hart gets uncontested dunk. And that is all she wrote. The pelicans get the win. One twenty nine one twenty four and again as i on finishing with twenty six points. Ten boards five assists. Joining anthony davis as the only players in new orleans history with game with those numbers before turning twenty one years old. They will play again tomorrow night

Sportswriter Zach Lowe on NBA Mid-Season Leaders

"Where. We are at the midway point of the nba season. And that means. I have questions for you about the utah jazz. I say the utah jazz to you. Right now what comes to mind a whole lot of threes there making these every time you know checkup jazz box score at my brain just glances over twenty two thousand from three leg. It's just nothing there number two in defense in number three or something in offense. They do profile as championship contender. Like they're the best team in the league by record right now. Are they the best team in the league to you. While the comparison that that's become sort of commonplaces they're they're the new sixty win hawks. The team that was built to win a lot of games regular season pretty ball movement side to side movement. You don't really have the star power to compete against lebron james when it comes down to it in the playoffs but i don't think they're just sort of blake a regular season flute so the way the jazz are playing right now. It reminds me not just of the hawks as you said but also a kind of mutant version of the houston rockets simply because of the sheer volume of threes. Does that comparison sounded all right and also does that comparison than invite the questions about what happens in the postseason. If shooting a bunch of threes doesn't go as well as it did in the regular season. That comparison does not ring true to me honestly just stylistically. They're so different. The volume of threes is similar. Like they are taking a houston. Daryl morey level volume of threes. But they play so differently. The other comparison is brad stevens. I think the first one to give voice to this is to two thousand fourteen spurs which is kind of like. That's that's i don't want to say that out loud well to an mba hipster fan to an emmy afficionados. Let's put it that way kinda sewer. What does that specific spurs team. What does that evoke in your memory. It almost has this sort of religion. Level reverend yes. Everybody loved watching that team. Anybody who was at games three to five of the finals that year when by the beginning of game four we were all looking at each other. Like all my god. They're just going to destroy the heat and to compare any team to where that team reached. It just feels like talking to a pitcher in the seventh inning of a no hitter. Something like you just don't want to say out loud but that is a comparison. People are making looked at jazz. Their undoing in the playoffs in in previous seasons was day would very much like the hawks. Actually day would get a lot of open threes and not make them and you could look at that and say well. We did everything right. We just didn't make shots. Which is what. Every hawks team including that one said after the playoffs. And so yeah. The three point volume is similar to the rockets. And that's a little scary. The team that this discussion has occurred in the context of is the lakers. As you said as it must be the defending champions and so when you look at the lakers right now. I want to get to lebron specifically in a second but just them without anthony davis and how much they've struggled most recently losing to these jazz and blow out. What is that revealing to you or confirming to you about what this team needs to actually content. I think like any team. They need their best players to be healthy. I i'm pretty low on the lakers panic meter because it's not just anthony. Davis who you know was first team all nba hill assures. Anthony davis is not like some borderline all the best players in the league. Dennis schreuder is maybe their third best player. I think kyle kuzma is kind of the claim that mantle disturbing might be their third most important player. Because he's the only other guy. With the exception of some frisky alex russo games entail. Norton tucker will get you some. You know some stuff done now and then but he's learned other on ball creator the other the other guys threat to score or pass to somebody else. Yeah you take them away and it's like oh my god. Lebron has to do everything and and you know he's probably getting a little tired and even though he'll never say it the only thing that will make my panic meter go above like three point. Five on a one to ten is if we get news. At davis's injury is lingering or more serious that we thought it was then if they're healthy in the playoffs yeah. Competition in the west is is probably better this year. Particularly if denver finds whatever gear they had going in the bubble. There's going to be a lot of really good teams in the west. You could get the one seed in the west and play the warriors. You could get to play the mad. I mean it's it's just every round is hard there. But yeah i i can't i can't get too worked up about it right now. Yeah the western conference meet

That's <Speech_Male> a long time. You <Speech_Male> know to work towards something <Silence> <Speech_Male> You <Speech_Male> know you <SpeakerChange> think about how <Speech_Male> many people <Speech_Male> at that age <Silence> no set a goal <Speech_Male> and it <Speech_Male> keno gate it <Speech_Male> comes. True <Speech_Male> now is incredible. <Silence> Feeling <Speech_Male> on <Silence> at the time i was just <Speech_Male> i was. <Speech_Male> I was hoping anybody <Speech_Male> big adding. <Speech_Male> I ain't care who called <Speech_Male> my name <Speech_Male> so no <Speech_Male> draft. By one of the best <Speech_Male> days you know. <Silence> Ever in his heart's <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> nocona comparative. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> You've accomplished a lot <Speech_Male> in a short period <Speech_Male> of time all star <Speech_Male> all <Speech_Male> nba. You now <Speech_Male> have a long term contract. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> What's <Silence> next on your checklist. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Think for me. The <Speech_Male> most important thing is <Speech_Male> a thing <Speech_Male> about people. <Speech_Male> Remember <SpeakerChange> the <Speech_Male> guys that that win <Silence> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> now to say to people <Speech_Male> that didn't win championships <Speech_Male> aren't no <Speech_Male> screen and <Speech_Male> things like that. But <Speech_Male> they really <Speech_Male> really not <Speech_Male> talk <SpeakerChange> about and <Silence> remember guys that <Speech_Male> you know. <Speech_Male> Get to the top <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> for me. That's <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> my <Speech_Male> goal. Is i want to <Speech_Male> be remembered <Speech_Male> ed <SpeakerChange> guida <Speech_Male> <Silence> winning <Speech_Male> championships <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> in <Speech_Male> everything. I'll stick <Speech_Male> yourself going <Speech_Male> titles. <Speech_Male> Mvp <Speech_Male> off the <Speech_Male> teams <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> so just <Speech_Male> being a gun at him <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> on <SpeakerChange> scenic. <Silence> <Speech_Male> You've got <Speech_Male> a lot of playoff experience <Speech_Male> in a pretty short period <Speech_Male> of time. What <Silence> do you take away from that. <Speech_Male> Yeah <Speech_Male> i mean you think about <Speech_Male> you gotta <Speech_Male> you gotta win sixteen <Speech_Male> games <Speech_Male> to win a championship <Speech_Male> playing <SpeakerChange> against <Silence> the best teams <Speech_Music_Male> and <Silence> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Up like you said <Speech_Male> many eastern conference finals <Speech_Male> twice <Speech_Male> and is <Speech_Male> it's hor- <Speech_Male> no <Speech_Male> every <Speech_Male> possession <Speech_Music_Male> in every amos <Speech_Music_Male> soul. <Speech_Music_Male> The <SpeakerChange> value is <Silence> so important. <Silence> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> People under people <Speech_Male> don't understand that obviously <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> will have won championships. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Not really know <Speech_Male> how tough it is <Speech_Male> even. <Speech_Male> We would like to have <Speech_Male> you know. I can only imagine <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> how much it <Speech_Male> takes get to that. <Speech_Male> Next level <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> is <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> that mitchell <Speech_Male> undermine <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> northern importance. <Speech_Male> And how tough <Silence> do <SpeakerChange> <Silence> <Speech_Male> that second <Speech_Male> year. So <Speech_Male> many expectations <Speech_Male> and that <Speech_Male> team didn't <Speech_Male> live up to them. What <Silence> did really <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> that <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> you know. You don't <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> don't take for <Speech_Male> granted <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> the before <Speech_Male> like <Speech_Male> what's it is <Speech_Male> a college spinal <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> now <Speech_Male> my face <Speech_Male> and i just thought that <Silence> s it was normal <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> know he's <Speech_Male> supposed to be <Speech_Male> the next hour <Speech_Male> realized now <Speech_Male> south <Speech_Male> nobody tougher. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> Thanks <Speech_Male> and just go wrong and it made <Silence> me really appreciate <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> you <Speech_Male> know the year before. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> And just <Silence> you know valuable. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> You know things <Speech_Male> know things like <Speech_Male> that. <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I think that's <Speech_Male> the biggest thing i took <Speech_Male> away from. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> anything for. Granted <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> may not may <Speech_Male> not always come <Speech_Male> around like that or <Speech_Male> knowing how <Speech_Male> different season <Speech_Male> can be so. <Speech_Male> Nope <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> just really take <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> advantage <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <SpeakerChange> opportunities <Music> <Advertisement> like that.

"Whether i think he he will eventually reach that point. I'd say given where the nba is given the last ten years give player empowerment given bradley beal's age twenty-seven sick of his prime given where wizar- i'd say as i've said many times like absolutely positively i think he should one out. I think he'd be better off somewhere else. I think the wizards would probably be better off. Because if they can get the right deal back for him they can. They can rebuild for the future. And i think they're kind of stuck but i'm not criticizing him for not doing that. They give he wants to stay. That's his prerogative fine. I don't understand this like that's the one thing about the report. I don't get like he's being picked for choosing to stay. Who's doing that. i'd seen it. I haven't seen it. I haven't seen any of that stuff and look bradley. Beal can look at james harden as being a blueprint for getting what you want. I mean james harden salt his way through an abbreviated. Training camp sleepwalked his way through games when a matter of weeks wound up traded to the location want to be traded to and we'll wind up not only gained play where he wants to play but eventually get his money. You know. the money turned down on that long term extension. If you're bradley beal and let's say hypothetically you think golden state is a good opportunity. You could stop your feet and probably force your way there. You could leak it out through an agent or somebody that you wanna play for the warriors. And you could force the wizards front office to negotiate with you. And i have discussed that potential deal in the past. That's that's a deal. I think makes a lotta sense because the warriors have got wisemen. They've got some draft capital can do some things and put a package together. That might make sense for them to go out and acquire bradley beal. I with you though. I will not criticize the guy for doing the right thing. I thought it did look like he was checked out in the first half of that nets game and i'm curious to see how he looks moving forward like was that just kind of an unexpected comeback. That kind of rekindled his competitive spirit for one game in the second half or was the first half something of a foreshadowing of what's to come with bradley beal because if it is you can source any report. You want your eyes. Don't lie when you're looking at what a guy wants to do their so. I'm curious to see what happens. Moving forward but him being a good soldier. And i'm saying i don't want to be traded. I'm not asked to be traded. I guess you can find anything in the bowels of the internet. That might you might be able to find if you're on social media but i haven't. I haven't seen any of those critiques and listed some of this at least is probably like even if he wanted to be traded. He doesn't want to be put in a position where it looks like. He's the one right. Like some guys are just hyper conscious of their image that way like if if if the day comes where he's going to be traded he'd rather not feel like he is the bad guy some guys don't bite it like james harden clearly did not mind being the bad guy at the end. He did silk. He did drags his way through games..

"Dallas mavericks are bad like really bad as we record this. Six straight games back to back to phoenix at home by the way giving up a lot of points missing threes left and right the language coming out of the locker rooms not very good Riccar loud didn't seem to have an answer for it and rick's world better coaches in this league What's going on in dallas. I mean look at the stats sheets. Luka doncic is putting up mvp level numbers but they're games. They're just getting clobbered go to utah. They lose two games both by double digits. They give one hundred thirty three points to houston a couple of weeks back. What's on dallas right now. I'm not sure this is what a team that's That's set the bar. That high falls this quickly. And let's be careful about this. We're still only about the quarter way. Mark like they can. They can work this out. They've had guys dealing with covert and and quarantine. They've had some injuries and they're kind of a you know we focus so much on luka doncic. He's transcendent player. This once in a generation kind of player who you know was already maybe prematurely entering the mvp discussion but he's an mvp caliber player. They're actually more of the better than the sum of their parts kind of team when it comes down to it the record that they put up last year the the games they won last year the reason that we all started really paying attention aside from lucas gatti stats. Was that that team achieved way beyond what we expected kors aengus playing at a pseudo all star level when he was healthy scher but dwight powell dorian. Finney smith and tim hardaway junior. Who was just a you know. A salary dump by the knicks when they traded porzingas. This is not a team that was stocked with high level talented. Like even like steph. Curry is really good. Players become a really good player. Who they i think maybe foolishly offloaded in the off season that trade for richardson but there were better than the sum of their parts. Team chris they didn't have like across the board high level talent but rick carlisle is a magician and he always gets the best out of players. He always gets guys to play the roles to the hills. And that's what they did so. You had the combination of luca being transcended porzingas being really really good and a bunch of guys who anywhere else you would have thought they were just like throw away pieces maxi cleavers all these guys but they were great last year and they played their roles to the hilt and sometimes i think there's a lightning in a bottle elements where you can't always replicate that so porzingis backslid a little bit and look a alleged reportedly came in not quite in shape and they swapped out curry for richardson..

last year Luka doncic rick carlisle Mark Dallas mavericks Finney smith luka doncic luca steph Six straight games richardson two games tim hardaway rick both one hundred thirty three point Riccar loud powell dorian knicks lucas

"You want to say well there. Aren't that many like six feet guards. Six foot tall guards who have led their teams to achieve. If you want to go historic and and the kind of star you need. I mean was obviously for decades. The nba was ruled by big men. Right it was shocking kareem and wiltz and akeem and and you could like jordan changed that of course but in the modern game. It's like the mutant ford's right like these guys like who were built like power. Forwards are somewhere between florida power forward but have ball handling skills and could do everything. Kawhi leonard and kevin durant and lebron james. Yeah if you have one of those guys ka donovan. Mitchell cannot great inches and get a seven foot wingspan tomorrow. He cannot become kevin durant lebron or co why he becomes steph curry. But that's not. That's not the way to judge donovan mitchell. As as a as a as a guy who can potentially team to a to a or not if shacks critique were of what done mitchell was doing the way he conducted himself the way he worked the way. He competed fine. But it's more this like ambiguous kind of doesn't have what it takes like. And you're right chris to they have a second star. But there's second stores rudy gobert. He's essentially defensive specialist apologies to utah. I know nobody wants to hear that. Rubare is not an offensive player because sometimes he puts up seventeen or twenty points in a game. He's not a goto offense of player and most one two punches in nba history when we talk about championship. Teams are are two elite offensive players. Rudy gobert is as an a fine offensive. Something he's an option. He is among your options. He is not a go-to guy. It's not the same and they don't have that second guy. Chris and i don't if they'll get that second guy because it is utah. It's not a free agent destination. But that's why i say. Can you do it a different way. Can you build a contender a different way and credit to them. They have built a really phenomenal team. That as you said earlier a punchers chance. There's a thousand reasons. Why protecting your home matters to you for me. Because i travel a lot..

"But i don't know so here's let me let me make the case for why. The jazz are legit before i. I throw a little bit cold water. All right so there as we speak their fifth in offense and sixth and defense if you're sending both offensive and defensive efficiency you're you're legit and we're only a quarter of the season. Yeah there's still some noise in the stats but still decides real good is seven point. Two seven point two points per hundred possessions the only teams that are behind the net net rating milwaukee and the to la teams. So that by definition. Says you are a contender right. You are among the top. Four teams in the league net rating. They are i in three pointers. Made seventeen per game their first three point attempts their third and three point percentage all great signs for contending in today's nba. Right and those are up significantly from last year. Last year they were tenth and attempts sixth and three pointers made. They're making like almost four more shots former three pointers a game last year. It's the first full season with clarkson who's been fantastic. Their up jordan clarkson by the way for i think completely changing the perceptions of him by by embracing a role becoming more efficient. So as you just got to be in the right spot. Like he was miscast of courses like some next generation of laker store when he was in la and then he's in cleveland in an awkward time as lebron's on his way out the door like this is the perfect role for him and he's been great. He was trending to like ricky davis territory. Stop like just you know gunnar jansson shots good player on a bad team. But he started around you right. He's he's been great. He's been great and props to the jazz. I think for getting the best out of him to into quin snyder for Pudding you know the the right framework around and setting the bar for him to to reach for and conley's healthier and more comfortable there in this role you you mentioned bogdanovich our friend..

Last year clarkson last year bogdanovich gunnar jansson tenth jordan clarkson cleveland quin snyder fifth third Two sixth Four teams three pointers seven point three point conley ricky davis both

I never really thought of it like a common idiot, you know from Iowa, but Loved Ronald. I noticed I just was not. I love the update. It was great. Just not judgment. I'm just you know, I noticed that that you well, you know, I don't have you filed this but game stops on stock. Has gone from $19 begin the year T $230, which is causing Theo, owner of the Mets, some financial difficulties. Yeah, I've seen the headlines. I haven't clicked on this. I know And I probably wouldn't understand anything. I have been red after clicking on it, but I don't understand why Gamestop steam stock is worth Gamestop stock is worth $235. But I wish I had known someone. It was that it's a red Reddick Gamma squeeze. What Sounds like a marble plotline. Marvel movie. I don't know as I understand it, and Tom, um, by all means, jump in here and then just Yeah. You guys lost your manager last year lawsuit GM owner seems good. Apparently, he's lost $20 billion, or he's had to put in Ah, couple billion dollars to make up for option shortfalls. He shorted the stock were basically but it's gonna go down. I guess when you better start is gonna go down and it goes from $19.250 dollars. Urine. Not good. Do do. Yeah. Tom looks nervous. Yeah, I mean, I just pointed out that you know. Beltran lasted 10 seconds as the manager Jerry Porter lasted 10 seconds is the GM And is this guy gonna last 10 seconds of the owner because he's suddenly broke? I wouldn't put it past The New York Mets for that to be the thing that happens next, That's all I'm saying. I don't really quite understand what's going on. All I know is you made a real bad bet, and it's already cost him billions in the plural. At least his company bill makes a great point. These people are typically in some way walled off from financial ruin and the out of these situations, but Is he going to be the most wealthy man owner and in major league baseball anymore after you know the next few hours? I don't know. I hope so. I hope so. And what's making this happen? Is somebody doing this on purpose? That's right, trying. That's when they had. Once I saw said like that, like this is like some kind of red. It's then that just spiraled out of control, Elon Musk, and some other person sort of exit on on Twitter is it is it is market. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like it's market, greed and frenzy and And I don't. I don't know, man. I don't know. I wish I owned some games Stop. It's stuck kind of revolutionary cause it's kind of the first time that, like the public has just taken it on their own to manipulate aggressively manipulate the market. So it's all kind of experimental, which is why nobody knows where it's gonna end or slow down. The stock keeps going up in. I didn't know what games stop Once I shop there three times at Christmas for my kids, and that's the funniest part about all of it. How blatantly dated it is. You can buy video games now, Right on your consul. You do not need a brick and mortar shop now.
