Jason Pye and Doug Chat About Alabama's Parole Board

"Board shot down every single case, denying relief to 28 eligible people. Including this man, Michael bettis, he said, he is serving. He has served, hear me, served 12 of 20 year sentence for marijuana possession and distribution. He served 12. He sat at a minimum security work center where they worked him for $2 a day. Turned him down. Now is costing you folks in just to let you know out there. Probably upwards of between 50. I mean, 15 and $30,000 to house him for a year. The older he gets, the more expensive that gets. Okay? This is the part that is really, I think if we emphasize this kind of. Now, I'm not going to go into because again, to get a 12 of 20, it's marijuana possession and distribution. You know how those chargers will work. But there's nothing else here that indicates that the 12 years is not more than sufficient to have him even on supervised probation, whatever it may be. But to get him out. But they turned out all 28 eligible, not a one. I mean, is this the case where honestly the headlines are affecting what should be non attributable boards. I don't know of a better way to put that. I don't want to say partisan because in a way they are, but are political boards. I mean, what would a call something like this? And again, they might come out that there's something you need to, but he wouldn't be now think about this folks. He wouldn't be eligible for parole. If they had to not satisfied everything else in his sentences, taken into his past to get the sentence that he's currently under. It's kind of mind boggling because I think I'm not trying to be mean here. I am from Georgia. But this is Alabama, which is, which is a notoriously tough state when it comes to when it comes to crime. But even Alabama has taken some steps in the right direction when it comes to prison reform. I mean, I remember there was a state I think state senator cam ward there who helped usher through Alabama's prison reforms back in, I don't know, 6, 7, 8 years ago. And that was at the time when DoJ had followed lawsuit over prison conditions in Alabama. But it's unfortunate. And it's frustrating because there had to be one person deserving of some sort of parole who they

Abortion Advocates Riot Outside Old St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC

"I hope you can watch the show at Salem news channel, our new platform, as well as listen on this great radio station to the Mike Gallagher show because once in a while, just describing it isn't quite enough. Sometimes you have to see this with your own eyes. Now I'm gonna warn you, it will burn your eyes. You'll never be able to unsee this, but this was the scene outside Saint Patrick's cathedral over the weekend. He's got a baby wrapped up in like pink blankets. She is hanging out all over the place and so that we that hold her topic and cover much up. This is like a pop right out. And she's got a baby, a baby doll. But she's ripping apart. And she's doing this in front of a group of young men and women who are praying. For the lives of the unborn. Now she's pulling the babies out from between her legs. Jumping up in there and now she's shoving her out, turn it off. Turn it off, my eyes are bleeding. Can't take any more. The police finally came and ushered her away. Back to wherever she came from. Back to whatever rock she came from out from under.

Mayor Excuses NYC Athletes, Performers From Vaccine Mandate

"Do you know that the mayor of New York upholding the vaccine mandate for private employers in the city? Has decided to exempt from the vaccine mandate, got to have a vaccine in order to work in a private company in New York City. City employees have been fired. Many hundreds are out of work. Healthcare workers, cops, people worked in the fire department. Police department, city of New York, they're out of work. You know who doesn't have to abide by the vaccine mandate now? Millionaire athletes and performers. I'm not kidding you, the mayor of New York has waved his magic COVID wand and because Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving wasn't being allowed to play home games at the Barclays center, the mayor has now exempted performers and athletes from the New York City vaccine mandate requirement. So the usher making $12 an hour at the Barclays center, the guy who pours the beer and takes the tickets, he either has to get the vaccine or get fired. But superstar Kyrie Irving because he is a superstar and he's worth a lot of money. He's now exempt

"Jackson. Here, as katangi is in front of the United States Senate right now for potential confirmation. Okay, let's go to cut 41, senator hirono, who wants to build highways from Los Angeles to Honolulu, and also wants the Green New Deal to be ushered in and taz told men to sit down and shut up. Has pushed back against this idea that katangi is the affirmative action pick, which of course she is, play cut 41. And they have implied you were solely nominated due to your race and not for other factors. Your nomination is about not about filling a quota, it is about time, it's about time that we have a highly qualified, highly accomplished black woman on the Supreme Court. It's about time our highest court better reflects the country it serves. Yeah, it's not about affirmative action, but it actually is about the affirmative action because it's time that we have affirmative action. It's exactly what I expect from senator hirono. And by the way, no one's implying that katangi was selected because of her race, we are very transparently saying it because Joe Biden said it. No one said Joe Biden did not run for president saying that we are going to have people come, I'm not going to select people on the Supreme Court that are wise or that our steeped in constitutional experience. No, he said all along, it's going to be a black female. Again, melanin content

The Sad, Disturbing Truth About the Rise in the Price of Energy

"You must be to want to hurt people so that you could have a desired potential utopian objective on the backside. That's exactly what this regime is doing. The Biden regime is telling the people of America. Look, we understand that you might have to go into debt. We understand you're going to have to spend money you don't have. We understand this might break the back of your business, but don't you understand how beautiful it will be because then we can usher in solar panels on cars and we could just be happier. Thanks to that. Now I'm all for innovation in the space of trying to have renewable energy. But isn't it interesting how they're not able to convince us to use renewable energy without actually having to break fossil fuels first? That by definition is not a natural transformation. They are intervening. They want to get to what 2040 or 2050 carbon neutral emissions or whatever zero net emissions or whatever nonsense that they're publishing, but why is that? They truly believe that the industrial economy powered by natural gas, fuel and nuclear power. By the way, they never want to talk about nuclear power that just shows the fraud that they are. They believe that it's so bad for the aesthetic of the environment. It's so bad for nature that they must crush human beings being able to flourish so that they can achieve some sort of abstract distant, hard to define ideological agenda. And this is not happened overnight.

Does the Arc Always Bend Toward Justice?

"Hegel and you look at the process through history, he really adopted a Christian concept of the eskaton because we as Christians believe history has a rhythm to it has a plan that is progressing. A form of Christian thinking that having emphasis on this is called dispensationalism, which is a very structured of different types of time when God comes and dispenses his grace on his people. So I'll never forget James, I was having a debate with vous. That's his name, right? Vouch on ten pools show. And we got into Hegel. And before the entire audience fell asleep, we've kept it interesting. And he immediately was like, oh yeah, I think he was totally right. It's like, what are you talking about? He's like, well, he asked me. He said, Charlie, don't you think things are getting better? Don't you think that we're progressing towards things that are so awesome? I said, you really do believe this, don't you? And it was such an eye opening thing for me, James, because there was whatever. I wouldn't consider a thinker. But we had a decent conversation. He was and he was like, no, no, no. All of this tension, all of this collision, this ant antithesis and thesis and what do you call it? The struggle, the arc bends towards justice. It was really, it was really instructive for me. And you could call it utopia, you could call it heaven on earth, but there is a belief by some of them that they can usher that in.

Biden Administration Is Transporting Illegal Immigrants Across the Country

"And watch this. So we've been waiting for this. Biden administration releasing a long awaited report on migrant encounters at the southern border during the month of December. It shows the number trying to enter the U.S. last month higher than the three previous December combined. Bill mullerian on that story, some stunning video as well live in Brownsville, Texas. Wow. Bill, good morning. Bill good morning to you right now. We are in front of a parking garage in Brownsville where for the very first time during this border crisis, we actually witnessed the mass release of single adult male migrants from federal custody. Take a look at this video we shot right here on Sunday afternoon. What you're looking at are federally contracted buses dropping off dozens of migrants at this parking garage and what you'll quickly notice is these are all single adults being released almost all of them men. No children, no family units. And this raised eyebrows with us because single adults are supposed to be expelled from the country via title 42. So we watched these as these migrants were ushered into this unmarked office with a for lease sign. There were some black tarps set up outside to restrict the public from viewing what was going on. And after a short time in that office, we started noticing taxicabs showing up to this parking garage. The Laplace parking garage. We watched as migrants then came out of the office, got into the taxicabs and the taxicabs started driving away. So we followed those taxicabs. They ended up going to Harlem gene airport about 20 to 30 minutes away from where we are. And those migrants were just dropped off at the airport to fly around the country. We talked to a couple of them. They said they were going to Atlanta, Houston in Miami, and they had just crossed illegally and paid a cartel $2000 to do so. So I reached out to the city of Brownsville to ask what the heck's going on here and they confirmed their

'Transhumanism' and the Coming Cyborg Reset With James Poulos

"I just want to make sure everyone understands what transhumanism is in the sense of how it applies to them. It's this movement where these people in Silicon Valley want to try and integrate computers or technology actually into humans. You could start to see this with Neuralink with Elon Musk and many other movements and that technology is only accelerating. You saw that with Facebook, which is no longer Facebook. It's now called meta. Now, let me just start with something that I think our audience would be able to understand because there's a lot of technology behind this. I don't think even I have a good grasp on. But is it conceivable that if we do nothing? In 20 years we will be mostly cyborgs or plugged into an alternative universe and not the real world. Talk about the implications of where this technological movement is heading, which is the destruction of the human species. Yeah, that's a trajectory. You can see it in the language, the rhetoric around the great reset. You can see it in the way that, you know, social credit system has already developed in the U.S.. You know, we already have the major corporations and the government, including the part of the government where citizens can not replace these individuals by voting on whether or not they should remain in office. A tremendous unity of the institutions under federal purview, creating a social system on the Internet wherein if you say the right things and do the right things, you know, you won't get a check from the government, but you will get social credit points, basically. And it's still informal, you know, there are these things don't have a name. You can't sort of flex on people by showing that you have a higher social credit score than them. But already, if you have kids and they're on TikTok or if you just really hungry for the memes, you can just go on there and see that, you know, the zoomers who understand what's going on are already making sort of meme videos mocking folks like John Cena for, you know, for saying that Taiwan is a part of China, making fun of him for having an infinite social credit score. They understand where things are going. They understand that, you know, colleges, education system, Hollywood, banking system, every component of these pillars of civil society are all sort of circling the wagons consolidating authority and try to usher people into what I'm calling a cyborg Vivarium. You know, sort of it's like a domed enclosure, really, where people who have merged with their technology are cultivated and reordered on digital

Merrick Garland's MEMOGATE Explodes

"The national school board association letter otherwise known as the letter that broke the entire educational world led to the memo. The memo from Merrick Garland that inexplicably called for the defense apparatus to use potentially the Patriot Act and Department of Homeland Security to go after moms and dads. This is a legitimate scandal that is heating up, which we will now call memo gate. Cut 58 Merrick Garland in front of Congress, said that he could not imagine any circumstance that parents complaining about their school boards would be labeled as domestic terrorism, cut 58. Like you, I can't imagine any circumstance in which the Patriot Act would be used in the circumstances of parents complaining about their children, nor can I imagine a circumstance where they would be labeled as domestic terrorism. New whistleblower last night shows that Merrick Garland lied under oath in front of Congress as all of these deep state unelected operatives do, no one voted for Merrick Garland, Merrick Garland is an unelected Plato guardian type that wants to usher in a globalist internationalist borderless society, while he does not actually have to live under those same rules and measures. Whistleblower breaking last night. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the FBI, created a threat tag to track allegedly menacing statements against school boards and their members after attorney general Merrick Garland directed the bureau to take the lead on hyperlocal disputes. A whistleblower has revealed. The email dated October 20th about a month ago, released Tuesday by House judiciary Republicans, who said this was proof that the federal counter terrorism was being deployed against parents at school board meetings.

Joe Biden's Regime Is a Kamikaze Presidency

"This regime is accelerating their unpopular sinister anti American policies. And we need to ask ourselves the question why? Well, I don't have any, like, super insight into this, but it's rather obvious, they have no plan to ever run Joe Biden for the presidency again. It's that simple. And excuse this kind of graphic analogy, but this is a kamikaze presidency. Is that they are now looking at Joe Biden as the intermediary step. To turn the page on the American way of life and usher in a globalist open border and a completely different way of governing the country. He is given the opportunity to do something that Obama never did. He can govern as harshly in his radically as these chooses without ever worrying about plummeting poll numbers. He's going to do what he wants regardless of what the founding fathers gave us as the ultimate check and balance, elections. He does not care. Now that's not to say there's no way to hold them accountable. We'll get to that in a second. But instead, the normal ways to get a president's attention, like a 32% approval rating in certain states, what does Joe Biden's approval rating here 40% more or less? I know what you're thinking. Who are those 40% people? Like what are they looking at? What news are they consuming? What exactly are they enjoying that they're seeing? A 30% increase in murder rates? The fact that you can't build supplies, but I have some good news everybody. Joe Biden finally got a boat parade off of Long Beach California. He finally got a vote parade, and he's been waiting for it for a long time. You see that joke works better in Florida because they have vote, I don't know if you guys have both parades here, but you do, you have plenty of boat parades. That's good. For some people, it just goes right over their head. The point is this is that we now need to employ different tactics and measures to hold this regime accountable and to take back the

"I believe we have a Sputnik moment here ladies and gentlemen Many of you are too young to know what Sputnik is Or was I should say Well Sputnik changed everything On October 4 1957 the Soviet Union launched successfully The world's first artificial satellite That's what they called it About the size of a beach ball Wait only 83.6 kilometer That's about 83 183 or four pounds Orbited there for about 98 minutes And it ushered in a new political military technological and scientific Cold War Well that's just happened with the communist Chinese and I've said we'd been in a Cold War with them for years We may not have accepted it as a Cold War but they sure as our fighting it It sure as our fighting it They paging entered into hypersonic missile race and according to MSN it shocked not just the United States but the Russians The global hypersonic arms race is heating up worldwide after China tested a top secret weapon that can circle the globe at 21,000 mph And descent from space to strike anywhere on earth in minutes

"All of our links are in the podcast and youtube descriptions now back to emma well folks. The majority report is not above our guests. Not being able to us not being able to hold of our guests so unfortunately yeah on friday. We had technical difficulties not going smoothly. As i thought the takeover. I guess it's a little bit harder than one would imagine to know. This could well on new brandon. New brendan bradley Emma's takeover or matt as the steady hand. That's been here for a long time. All right so yeah. Unfortunately we can't get a hold of nikki. But i was looking forward to the interview. Maybe show she'll be able to join us but for now we're gonna talk a little bit more about the news In that with bradley's new new brendan steady hand behind the scenes. So let's actually since we were talking a little bit about the vaccine before. I wanna talk about or show a clip of fox. News response This morning so this morning fox news Responded to the news that the pfizer vaccine is going to be getting full approval by the fda and this is a clear example of how these goalposts are going to be shifted. No matter what the outcome is by fox news. And just so you understand the ridiculousness of this. This is dana perino. This is considered to be one of the news. People right is that fair to categorize her as such. Yeah i mean. My memory is that she was like a bush spokesperson. Yes yes. she's you know has the pattern of been around for a two decades so right so essentially though. This is dana. Perino considered to be on the on the right but fine with the establishment. Not a crazy loon. This isn't mike lindell here. Outflanking trump on. Kobe denial honestly because we played the clip of trump encouraging people to get the vaccine there moving to be responsible. But you have to be free. So let's just fend abound and here is how fox respond to the news about the full approval. This morning says look for you now. The fda just giving full approval to pfizer's copay vaccine. It's the first vaccine to get that full approval and in record time to that. Has critics asking if the process was rushed was it wasn't so another thing that they often do is hide behind. Critics are saying this when really. It's just this is the narrative that we want to push for our particular audience. We knew this was going to happen. The the the full approval thing was just in terms of the anti vaccines own logic. Faulty in and of itself. Because it's all how can we trust the government. How can we trust the for profit big pharma. That's trying to push this vaccine on us. It was just an anomaly right. They could point to one and once it was solved. They weren't going to look. At as if i guess that's fixed. I can change my mind about the vaccine's now yeah right exactly and so and so this is going to be what they run with now. Now that it has its full approval. Oh the full approval was to swift. The full approval happened in a way. That i don't necessarily trust one. What the entire thing boils down to is mistrust of science and institutions and the fact that the democrat is in control of the executive branch at this current moment and it also boils down to for a lot of evangelical christians like this religious pure body thing and trusting in a higher power. So there's a lot of stuff that they're playing into right now but it's particularly unconscionable when you have the news daytime programming of fox news more immorally approaching a vaccine conversation than even trump is at in his current like position because trump's like i dunno jab. Get the get the shot. I got the shot. I want everybody to go back to normal life. I mean that's or i want you to go back to normal life. And i think a lot of republican powers that imagine he's still talking to people. We're seeing this shift there too where they're worried about this anti vaccine push alienating suburban women suburbanites throughout the country people who they still need to court for them to have any electoral success. Even though of course there might be some backlash given the biden's approval rating is falling at the current moment. Yeah i mean. I'm not convinced that they're playing this electorally. I mean it's pretty outrageous to say that the planet pandemic correctly. Or not like i. I i think the the problem they have is republicans always appeal to the people that are unaffected by the brutal reality of the systems. We have set up and instead you just drive them to the polls with fear about stuff but the problem is when the fear is something that they're saying you won't be affected by and it turns out that all these states thought okay. We're going to be done with it. The santa's made another gambled that He just be able to sort of bluff his way through this and go away on its own and appeal and a whole bunch of people compared to say new york which saw rising cases too but not a similar rise in deaths. At least not so far. And that's that's people know the people who died fundamentally we lost over half a million people in this country and i. It's it's crazy to me that we still have this amount of resistance to. But i think this is republican. The data is in right like we've never had such a massive data set of hundreds of millions of people getting the vaccine and we've had millions and tens of millions of people who've gotten cova and we see what the effects of one are and what the effects of the other are we don't need. I don't even think the after fda to tell us that with that's why the emergency use happened and then we had a big experiment basically and it played out quite obviously but when when you've trained an entire population to look for alternative answers to dominant narratives and be inherently mistrustful of what a consensus of experts. Say they're gonna find wrinkles. In even the largest of experiments and data sets and the most conclusive outcomes of those Of those things so conspiratorial thinking being stoked of course. It has its ramifications. And that's clear in terms of just like pure death total. Yeah we should also say. Mississippi officials war against using livestock ivermectin to prevent covert nineteen after rise in poison. Control calls them. So that's what another part of this is to sell miracles. I was hydroxy chloroquine now. Ivermectin ivermectin isn't like a d warmer. Yes like some sort of parasite control thing. So you're cool with taking a wermer but not a shot off label use. Yeah yeah are like. I don't understand where that line is. Drawn ivermectin been around for many decades now for this particular use for this novel. Corona virus ultimately the cynical way to that they play on the like sort of pharma skepticism as in lake. They don't want you to take this horse to wermer drug because it'll cost them much money. It's like as downstream from the the elite critique. That tucker carlson engages exactly right. It's it's basically just like the socialism fools sorts of like. Take as much as you need. But don't implicate capitalism. Only whatever you do yeah and unfortunately when you have conspiracy theories of that kind of their most pernicious are the ones that have kernels of truth and skepticism to them like for example. Bush did nine eleven. The we should be skeptical of the bush administration and put in henry kissinger on the investigation to yeah. We should be skeptical of the cia and the pentagon and the bush administration's motives because they were clearly to just start a war with iraq at by any means possible..

"And actions. Hi my name is rob. Usher in mentor. Ohio which is here in sunny cleveland sunny today but one time we had a class and i work in. Km heads the last twenty three years in the big four and my favorite book is the foundation series by asthma. Which if i think about it is really a lot about knowledge management reading that series now. Because i think they're gonna come out with movie or a series thing reading about. This is all about knowledge management one way or another other than that outside. Knowledge management are really liked apollo space program of an aerospace engineer by trade. My original training in did some really cool consulting gun in dc. The first eight or nine years of my life which i really enjoyed but now appear in sunny cleveland as i say an feb here. I just so everyone knows when he says sunny cleveland. He's being funny that that's being funny. Okay you mentioned the big four. Can you explain what the big four is big four accounting firms. The ones that are sort of left. I guess as things attrition darn enter arthur andersen and things that have happened over the year but yeah he y. In particular is worth spent most of my career with knowledge management ernst and young now brandon is e y but each of them have a different approach to knowledge management. I understand it. Inefficiency played for them and way to increase sales and improve service delivery company in that respect. You're talking about knowledge management being an internal function of e. y. Not as a sales product or something. They're adding to the menu items for clients. That's exactly right yep development communities amongst so you i right now is about three hundred thousand people. Globally in developing communities amongst those global practitioners have them share internally yet for the benefit of steph. So what's been most exciting cam project. I assume has something to do with nasa. But what what is the most exciting thing that you can just sit around the fire just reliving. Well you know. I think one of the early on communities that i really fun around cyber security in when i first started at at e y we these roles called network coordinators basically knowledge managers is our job to go out as the july's knowledge management to the to the internal field. So you'd walk into a partners office sound like i'm from the government. Not here to help so so you really had to tell him with the bandages. Were for knowledged Change the culture because you know people are a lot more deputies. Just keeping their own stuff to himself to a. Why would i want shares sureau the the crew that i put together there for this cyber security group than it was about three or four thousand people. Globally in. i didn't know anything about security. There was my shake guys knew much more than i did. But you know you're there to help them. Connect with themselves and connect with the content. That's available from from themselves. Being around the world. We put together a really nice knowledge. Champion network from about forty five different countries in had been biweekly calls and some friendly competition amongst and who could share the most and just trying to get the practitioners to to time on knowledge management person service delivery which is always sort of a balance between that's accounts payable right. You're making bank with that part. So that leads me to wonder who at the top or who at the corporate level said. We need to do this. Who who made that happen at ernst and young. Yeah you know that happened really early on. I joined in ninety eight to a while back but they had been created something called the center for business knowledge. Cbk's rather innovative at the time Mugs the accounting firms. It really was a leva faith at that point so no it. Some lead partner to global partners really sort of off into the efficiency play in the logic of knowledge management and funded it. Then it continues to the states says it's quite large actually now said over seven hundred people globally. Wow up to say the firm is three hundred thousand so it does a lot of knowledge management that does a lot of research in combined. Basically when they started out actually combining various libraries that existed around the sure right library is you would add a very dispersed resource. You got pockets of expertise all over the place and how do you bring that all together to actual usable resource yet. That's that's not easy. That is not easy. Does any of this ever spillover to your clients to say. Hey why why are you guys not doing km or do you see different. Clients that employ cam at all. There's been a couple of starts and stops for km as advisory service within ernst and young of time in. I'm not sure where that stands right now. In advisory insulting has been growing rapidly over the last few years. But i think more comes around not such an integrated cam offering but a little bit more on technology than just to sharing from a technology standpoint. So the cultural part of it unless so for at least the clients for your which are For saying how much of the function of knowledge management lies on. Hr if any in by that i mean is hr responsible for building out. Those knowledge sharing knowledge management characteristics behaviors. You on see n. People is that part of it or does your core center of people that do knowledge management are they doing all the heavy lifting the ladder so the people that are doing the heavy lifting but the you know the interesting thing you know you bring up is you always have to try and tie knowledge sharing activities to a performance expectation if you will so. We've done several things in the past Queering people as to how or if their performance reviews or performance expectations include knowledge sharing component that sort of a golden ring attorney get dead in their to people incentivize the drive really from young perspectives is through what's called e. y. knowledge now form organization so try to tie to performances a key thing returned to tied to service delivery expectations. So you can't close out engagement for example until you submit documents x. y. and z. Another sort of older ring to be able to achieve if you can within certain service lines or sub service lines have that expectation set by leadership. Reminding regulation to actually try and do that. That makes it a lot easier to harvest content and the machine right if it's mandatory. It's like yeah that that definitely is a behavior modifier. I'm curious to know that. The idea of this behavior modification or organizational behavior of a culture of sharing of knowledge management. Is it part of the on boarding process. And is this really a heavy up front. Hey this is what we do we do. This is how we operate. Yeah it is part of the on boarding process Formerly citizen formal trainings for knowledge sharing.

"Patrimony with the name which had linked stoa densify the to as to merge the original title of the estate in the quaint and equivocal appalachian of the house of usher and appalachian which seemed to include in the minds of the peasantry. Who used it. Both the family and the family mansion i have said that the sole affected my somewhat childish experiment that of looking down within the tarn had been to deepen the first singular impression there can be no doubt that the consciousness of the rapid increase of my superstition. For why should i not so term. It served mainly to accelerate the increase itself. Such i have long known is the paradoxical law of all sentiments having terror as a basis and it might have been for this reason only when i again uplifted my eyes to the house itself from its image in the pool there grew in my mind. Strange fancy fancy so ridiculous. Indeed that i mentioned it to show the vivid force of the sensations that oppressed me. I had so worked upon my imagination. As really to believe that about the whole mansion and domain there hung an atmosphere peculiar to themselves and their immediate vicinity an atmosphere which had no affinity with the air of heaven. But which had wreaked up from the decayed trees in the gray wall in the silent tarn a pestilent and mystic vapor dull sluggish faintly discernible and leading huge shaking off from my spirit. What must have been a dream. I scanned more narrowly the real aspect of the building. Its principal feature seemed to be that of an excessive antiquity. The discoloration of ages had been great minute. Fungi overspread the whole exterior hanging in a fine tangled web work from the eaves yet. All this was apart from mini extraordinary dilapidation. No portion of the masonry had fallen and there appeared to be a wild inconsistency between it's still perfect adaptation of parts and the crumbling condition of the individual stones in this. There was much that reminded me of the specious totality of old woodwork. Which has rotted for long years in some neglected vault with no disturbance from the breath of external air beyond this indication of extensive decay however the fabric gave little token of instability. Perhaps the eye of a scrutinizing observer might have discovered a barely perceptible fisher which extending from the roof of the building in front made. Its way down the wall and zigzag direction until it became lost in the sullen waters of the tarn noticing. These things i wrote over a short causeway to the house. A servant in waiting took my horse..

"Roderick. Usher had been one of my boon companions in boyhood. But many years had elapsed since our last meeting a letter however at lately reached me in a distant part of the country a letter from him which in its wildly importunate nature had admitted of no other than a personal reply. The ms gave evidence of nervous agitation. The writer spoke of acute bodily illness of a mental disorder which oppressed him and of earnest. Desire to see me as his best and indeed his own way personal friend with immu- of attempting by the cheerfulness of my society. Some alleviation of his malady. It was the manner in which all this and much more was said it the apparent heart that went with his request which allowed me no room for hesitation and i accordingly obeyed forthwith what i still considered a very singular summons although as boys we had been even that's yet really knew little of my friend. His reserve had always been excessive and habitual. I was aware however that has very ancient family had been noted time out of mine for peculiar sensibility of temperament displaying itself through long ages in many works of exalted art and manifested a late. In repeated deeds of munificence yet unobtrusive charity as well as in a passionate devotion to the intricacies perhaps even more than to the orthodox and easily recognisable beauties of musical science. I had learned to the very remarkable fact that the stamina the usher race all time honored as it was had put forth at no period any enduring branch in other words that the entire family lay in the direct line of descent and had always with very trifling and very temporary variation so lane it was this deficiency. I considered while running over and thought the perfect keeping of the character of the premises with the accredited character of the people. And while speculating upon the possible influence which the one in the long of centuries might have exercised upon the other it was this deficiency perhaps of collateral issue and the consequent undeviating transmission from sire to son of the.

"Of the year when the clouds hung oppressively low. In the heavens. I had been passing alone on horseback through a singularly dreary track of country and at length found myself as the shades of the evening drew on within view of the melancholy. House of usher. I know not how it was but with the first glimpse of the building. A sense of insufferable gloom pervaded. My spirit. I say insufferable for the feeling was unrelated by any of that half pleasurable because poetic sentiment with which the mine usually receives even the sternest natural images of the desolate or terrible. I looked upon the scene before me. Upon the mir house and the simple landscape features of the domain upon the balik walls upon the vacant. I like windows upon a few rank szegedi's and upon a few white trunks of decayed trees with an utter depression of soul which i can compare to no earthly sensation. More properly than to the after dream of the reveler upon opium the bitter lapse into every day light. The hideous dropping off of the veil there was an icy nece a sinking a sickening of a heart and unredeemed dreariness thought which no goading of the imagination could torture into ought of the sublime. What was it. I pause to think. What was it that so unnerved me in the contemplation of a house of usher. It was a mystery all insoluble. Nor could i grapple with the shadowy fancies that crowded upon me as i ponder. I was forced to fall back upon the unsatisfactory conclusion. That while beyond doubt there are combinations of very simple natural objects would have the power of thus affecting us still. The analysis of this power is among considerations beyond our depth. It was possible. I reflected that amir different arrangement of the particulars of the scene of the details of the picture would be sufficient to modify. Or perhaps to nyah late. Its capacity for sorrowful impression. And acting upon this idea. I reigned my horse to the precipitous brink of a black and lurid tarn that lay and unruffled luster by dwelling and gazed down by with the shudder. Even more thrilling dead four upon the remodeled and inverted images of the grace. Sage and the ghastly tree stems and the vacant and i like windows. Nevertheless in this mansion of gloom i now proposed myself a sojourn of some weeks..
