Democrats could strip Iowa of opening spot in 2024 campaign
"The Democratic Party is considering kicking Iowa out of its spot in leading off the presidential nominating process The Democratic National Committee's rule making arm had planned to recommend today which four states should be the first to vote bumping the Iowa caucuses from its number one spot it would be part of a broader effort to allow less overwhelmingly white states to go early and better reflect the Democratic Party's diverse electorate But the decision has now been delayed until after November's election many rules committee members have privately said that the party is leading toward either New Hampshire or Nevada going first and South Carolina with its large block of black Democrats may move from fourth to third Iowa has kicked off voting since 1976 I'm Donna warder

The 10 Most Important Races in 2022
"Master dot com, Joe day dot com, team Herschel dot com, Ted bud dot com, Morse the number four Senate dot com, Adam laxalt dot com. JD Vance dot com, Doctor Oz dot com, smiley for Senate dot com, Ron Johnson for Senate dot com. That's not order of importance. That's the order of the states. Blake masters in Arizona, Joe Dan, Colorado, Herschel Walker, and Georgia, Ted bud in North Carolina, I think, oh, got that wrong. It's then C, but NH I was using the abbreviations. Chuck Morris in New Hampshire, Adam laxalt and Nevada, JD vents and Ohio, Doctor Oz and Pennsylvania, Tiffany smiley and Washington state and Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. That's the key. Those ten races. And I hope Peter jail gives them all Peter Thiel gives a $100 million to each of those races. Sets up an independent expenditure committee. If you're listening, Peter, I'm just saying, give a $1 billion away and win the country. It matters. It matters. We got to stop these crazy judges. Yes, we got to fix tax policy. We can fix that. We're going to have the House of Representatives in any event. And great candidates winning all across the United States last night. Republicans low end, they're going to pick up ten high end. They could pick up 40. Depends on how badly Joe Biden screws up and what happens with inflation. And right now, the misery index, I think it's baked in. The house is one. Democrats are giving up the retiring in droves. They're running away. And they should. Because redistricting plus the misery index means a Republican wave in the house.
Richard Baris and Charlie Discuss the Radicalization of Gen X
"It seems that there's this interesting demographic phenomenon. I want to explore with you Richard, it's happening across the country, which is the radicalization of gen X, where you just articulated something that baby boomer 70 plus, they tend to be more establishment Republican or comfortable with Joe Biden. Now, we're going to get a slew of emails, by the way. Charlie, I'm 70 8 and I hate Joe Biden. Yesterday. No, I know. But I do think it's demographically interesting. We never talked about this before, rich, that gen X, so think about Josh hawley that is Ron DeSantis, right? That's Donald Trump Jr. that's Tom cotton, that's Ted Cruz. That's gen X. They're kind of right in that middle group. They're not necessarily super young. They're definitely not baby boomers. But gen xers are people that have kids that are anywhere between 5 years old to 18 years old. They're becoming super right wing in more ways than one. Not only that, but in primaries, they are demanding and they are voting for the more conservative candidate. Is that correct, rich? Yeah, and if you look, we did by generation, Charlie, by age, Arizona is a great state for that. So is Florida, so is Texas. So is Nevada, by the way. You know, the bottom line is because we've asked this before and I really think what it comes down to is and we got those emails as well. And I understand if you have a mom or you are that age group and you voted for Carrie Lake, I'm not saying there's not going to be supporters in that age group. I'm saying we're talking about margins, statistics, polling. But the bottom line is the older voters. Tend to have this idea, Charlie, that how could I put this? They tend to have like faith still in authority and they grew up in this more stable America. And they have this view where you would ask them, you know, how bad do things can get. And they would say, you know, it's America in the end, things are going to be okay. That's how they talk to us, right? Whereas the younger generation, the younger generation is like, look, I have to live the rest of my life. And this is 30 40 years we can't survive this.
These Are the Elections Kash Patel Is Keeping an Eye On
"So cash, I want to ask you, there's a lot of elections happening right now. What races are you looking at? What candidates are you behind? Where do you think the America first agenda has the best chance of success in the kind of as we're ending the primary season right now? Well, let's start with the great state of Arizona. Of course I'm a huge champion and proponent of Kerry Lake, who I've endorsed. My first gubernatorial endorsement, I think she's America first candidate who understands border security and the need for national security priorities and putting American citizens first. Similarly, I endorse Blake masters. He's going to be the next senator of Arizona. We're going to flip that seat with the drive and leadership of Donald Trump to make him his candidacy front and center, just like he did out west in my home state of Nevada to Adam laxalt. We're going to do similar out west. We're going to take the west back and we're going to take America back while we do that because we have people who care about the border, people who care about economics and people who care about tramping down illegal narcotics that are killing our youth at record numbers due to Chinese fentanyl flowing in from Mexico. And I know Arizona was excited to have president Trump here. But he had to push it a week because of the loss of his passing of his ex-wife. So it's very sad. And he's doing okay. And the trooper that he is. He's just going to push it a few days and he'll be out west with us in a week or
The Conection Between National Security and US Economy
"Last do. question, mister secretary, I know you've been on the road with cav pack dot com, supporting Republicans across the United States. The midterms are four months away. When you do that, when you go out and you talk for Adam laxalt in Nevada or you go stand with Herschel Walker in Georgia, you'll be up there with doctor eisen, Pennsylvania wherever you go. You get a huge crowd. Does anyone care about the national security or is it all just gas and food prices? Because I know the latter are driving daily kitchen table conversations, but we have to keep the country safe and this administration is not doing that. Does that come up in your appearances? Yeah, they're so deeply connected to you and absolutely comes up. Looks understand that when we lose what we had for four years, American energy dominance, the ability to deliver affordable energy to ourselves. That's natural security applications and implications for the ability to afford to drive your kids to their soccer game or to their ballet recital. No, the American people get it. They understand the place they understand the Chinese Communist Party isn't just a foreign problem that they're inside the gates here showing up at PT matings and school board meetings and infiltrating our university systems. Those are those are things that impact their lives every day too. And sometimes we talk about them as if these are these two separate things, right? Foreign policy and the ability to feed your family and pay your rent and afford the energy for your car. They are deeply connected. The American people get it and they know that President Biden is not delivered on either front.
FBI Seizes Nevada GOP Chairman’s Phone in Fake Elector Investigation
"I team news KLA S FBI seizes Nevada GOP's chairman's phone as part of a fake elector investing Oh my gosh Jim Pressuring electors The 2020 election sounds really horrible Sounds like a huge scandal Well we played this yesterday isn't it kind of interesting how something's only a scandal when the Republicans do it but when the Democrats pressure presidential electors in the 2016 election pressure them on national television by the way they don't get an FBI investigation Matter of fact they get raisins They get prime time shows They get celebrated They make documentaries Yeah we played this yesterday but it's worth playing again So a bunch of these people are under investigation for pressuring electors or whatever trying to appoint other electors whatever it may be because they had a problem with the 2020 election Democrats do the same thing on national television back in 2016 No problem at all Here listen for yourself FBI by the way if you're listening you may want to investigate these two Chris Hayes and Michael Moore check this out I think there are people who are pushing very hard to think that because of some of the constitutional perils of the emoluments clause because of the popular vote margin because of a fundamentals they think threat to liberal democracy that electors should be persuaded and pressured on Monday to part with what their pledges and vote and vote against Donald Trump Yes they absolutely should do that Absolutely I believe right now that there are electors And we need 38 of them who have a conscience or who are worried about a man who won't attend the daily security briefings who we now know Russia was trying to help get elected I mean can you imagine if I said if you or I had been running for office and they showed that the Iranians were somehow involved in helping you or me get elected what would happen to you or me Chris I'm just curious What would happen FBI is just throwing that out there
Jan. 6 Probe Gets Real With Investigation Into False Electors
"I mean, just legally speaking is getting real up in here, correct? I mean, these are multiple states multiple search warrants and subpoenas, right? Federal agents have dropped subpoenas on this is I don't even we've got what Georgia we've got Nevada, we've got Michigan, right? It's happening, isn't it Glenn? It is happening. You know, I really don't want to kill anybody's buzz. It's happening a little too slowly for my taste, but it's happening. They're working their way up the criminal ladder up to the command structure of the insurrection. So what are any of these states more significant than others or the fact that this is all happening simultaneously? Is that significant legal? You know, it's interesting because we often will coordinate subpoenas or search warrants so that we issue them simultaneously. So, you know, one bad guy can't call up another bad guy and say, hey, they're at my door, get rid of the following evidence. Now, I don't know how closely the fake electors in various states are coordinating, but I see this as kind of par for the investigative. Trevor, compared it to the scene in dick Tracy, where all the villains are getting jump cuts. Right, they're rounding up everybody. It's independently, but right, maybe so they can't
The Significance of the GOP's Upset in South Texas
"I believe we are seeing the beginning stages the start of the movie, the coming attractions. Of what will be anywhere between a 60 to 80 to 100 seat majority coming into November. For the conservative movement. What we saw last night is as you kind of see throughout the summer, you see these primaries. So in Nevada, Adam lacks salt one who we were behind and we've had in our program quite a lot. We saw Tom rice lose in South Carolina. We are going to talk about that. We saw lots of primary races that were significant, but the most shocking victory last evening happened in a district that would be considered to be a throwaway district for Republicans. It's a district that the ruling class of the Republican Party never would take seriously. It's a district that back in 2016. Democrats won this district by 20 5 points. In 2018, Democrats won this district by 19 points. In 2020, Democrats won it by 13 points, but this is not a district like any other. This is a district in the Rio Grande valley in Texas. This is the second most Hispanic district in the country. Second most Hispanic district in the whole nation. It is 80 4% Hispanic. 84% of the district is Hispanic. Republicans have not won this seat since reconstruction. It has been a reliable Democrat seat because of its significant Hispanic population. In 2016, just 6 years ago, when Hillary Clinton ran for president, they won by 25 points. That is a blowout that there is no candidate running against it. You might as well just run that that is as solidly blue of a seat as you could possibly comprehend. So what happened last evening? A political earthquake has started. And it's going to build past even November. I think what we are going to see is the beginning stages of the Democrat party being displaced from meaningful political power in the chambers of our federal government in every single swing state and yes, of course, obviously, every center right state across the

South Carolina Rep. Tom Rice Loses GOP Primary
"Have. And speaking of pitiful, I guess Tom rice in South Carolina found out the hard way trying to impeach Trump over January 6th wasn't a very good career move. Tom rice, the 5 term South Carolina congressman defeated by Russell fry last night. So big night in Nevada for president Trump's endorsed candidate. It was a big night for president Trump period. And the red wave is coming, in fact, it's already here. It's a little bit like recession. We keep hearing things are coming, but they're
Even CNN Knows Democrats Are in Trouble Following Primaries
"But once in a while, they, they function as useful idiots. And I am proud to play a clip for you from one of the most insufferable CNN hosts Don lemon, who was hosting a panel last night late into the night after the red wave midterm or after the red wave primaries held in a number of states, South Carolina, Nevada, Texas, great news for the Republican Party, shocking news out of Texas, where a first time candidate, a young woman named Myra Flores, came along and as I understand it, it's the first time in a hundred years that a Democrat held seat in Congress in the Rio Grande valley of Texas has flipped to the Republicans. First time in a hundred years, an extraordinary story, so I want to play. I want to start this hour playing for you a Don lemon CNN clip because I think it will put a smile on your face. Texas 34, the movement of Hispanic voters towards the Republican Party and that part of Texas to me is one of the biggest stories of the night. I know it's not quite final yet, but it's a big deal. What do you make of that do you see a trouncing Kirsten? I think Scott is indicating that there's going to be a trouncing of Democrats come midterms. Do you agree with that? Well, I think that is sort of the expectation. And I think if we look at it even historically, this was I mean, we were all predicting quite some time ago, even before Joe Biden's approval ratings got to the point that they are, the Democrats are going to have a hard time because historically that's what happens to the president's
Laxalt's Nevada win sets up fierce race for Senate control
"Former president Trump scores in some of yesterday's primaries where he backed candidates in South Carolina Trump helped score a victory for Russell fry and in the process knocked out 5 term incumbent congressman Tom rice who backed his second impeachment But another incumbent that the former president sought to defeat in a neighboring district represented Nancy mace held back the challenger in Nevada Trump's pick former state attorney general Adam laxalt who has embraced lies about the 2020 election won the nomination for a pivotal Senate seat against a candidate endorsed by the states Republican Party in Maine Republican former governor Paul Lepage who boasts he was Trump before Trump wants his old job back and won the primary setting up a showdown with Democrat incumbent Janet mills I'm Julie
Nevada Senate Candidate Adam Laxalt's Elevator Pitch
"Adam laxalt dot com that's LAX ALT. We've got 20 seconds left. Your message to those who say, I don't do politics. I don't need to be involved. My message is you can ignore it all you want. It's coming right into your living room. And if you haven't seen enough, I don't know what else to do it. But the left is coming after our way of life. We've got to defeat it. This race can flip the Senate and help us push back. Yeah, it's like Trotsky said about war, you may not be interested in it, but it is interested in you. So you can't avoid politics because that's what the left have done to this country. You can follow him. He, wow, just think about how early he had that endorsement from president Trump that speaks volumes. He's on Twitter at Adam laxalt LAX ALT or just go to Adam lacks all dot com.
Sebastian Talks 2022 With Nevada Senate Candidate Adam Laxalt
"He is a veteran of combat. He served as the former attorney general of Nevada. And now he's running for the Senate Adam laxalt. Welcome to America first. Thanks for having me again. So how's it going and tell us about the dirty tricks going on in Nevada? Well, look, first and foremost, primaries a week away. We feel great. We're working hard all the way till the end. I'm one of the few candidates America that had president Trump's endorsement in the first week. Yeah. There's no question that people are ready for a immediate break from President Biden and his disastrous policies. There's no place better than Nevada for people to know the difference of what it was like to live under president Trump. And that economy and the Law & Order that we had here versus what we're experiencing in Nevada today where everything is heading dramatically in the wrong direction. And so we feel good. There's no question we got a lot of support across the state. But yeah, look, when your primary opponent wakes up and it's a week out and realizes they're not going to catch up. They throw everything they can at the wall. Family attacks, attacks on my military record, teaming up with NBC and The Lincoln Project. And so hang on hang on, hang on to your primary opponent. Your primary opponent is working with the scumbags at The Lincoln Project. Well, you know, they had an very similar message coming down the

Rick Klein's Analysis of the Senate Midterm Elections
"And they know that the midterm election is coming. Here was ABC's Rick Klein talking to George Stephanopoulos yesterday on ABC's this week. Yeah, George, you know that they were in a tough spot when it comes to holding the House and Senate. But when you look at the Senate, it's a 50 50 Senate. It means Republicans only need to take one seat. But what's interesting is that not all the seats are up. Of course, only 35 Senate seats on the ballot and in that group that's 21 that are now held by Republicans 14 by Democrats. That means that Republicans have to play a lot more defense than they do the opportunities for offense. And when you zoom in a bit on the states that are likely to determine control of the Senate, these are the 9 states that are probably going to tell us who's going to be the majority and who's going to be in the minority. And 5 of them are controlled by Republicans only four by Democrats. That means if you're the Republicans, you've got to not only hold your seats, but then go on offense somewhere. That means picking up maybe an Arizona or a Georgia. Both states, of course, that went to the Democrats in 2020. Or you have to move into deeper blue territory and Nevada or a New Hampshire. That all assumes that the Democrats don't find any places of their own to pick up. And there's a couple of states that were carried by President Biden or were very close last time. They were targeting, including Pennsylvania, the primary on Tuesday, a spirited democratic fight, and an opportunity that Democrats see to win even in a very tough election cycle.

"These all these fighter pilots their you know husbands fathers. They have families. They're not cold hearted killers. I feel like if the government was shooting down dozens of civilian aircraft every year. Somebody would say something i mean. Yeah by now. Somebody on their deathbed would be like and by the way. Yeah i mean. I'm sure it's probably happened once or twice. And we probably don't know about it i would i would. I would agree with because yeah. It's a pretty serious. You can go on youtube. And there's videos of pilots that just get even near the airspace. And they next thing you know. There's you know f sixteen tailing him so it's not something to screw around with but on the other end of the spectrum f sixteen fly slow enough to tail cessna probably not but they will budget and yeah i was trying to think of like can even fly slowly might stay with a prego one hundred and twenty lights if at an angle towards the ground and just rocking thrust. Because they're not getting any lift at. That's yeah yeah more more likely. They probably like radio. You and do a couple lie. Close fly bys like showing their weapons to break the sonic barrier right past. You just be like yeah. You're you're turning around on the other end of the crazy spectrum though. It could be that the aliens area fifty one either abducting these aircraft or maybe the. Us government uses these aircraft to test new advanced alien weapon technology. Well for that one shoot and they couldn't find it. That's one hundred percent right so yeah it sounds like a really cool x files episode in all honestly i. I don't believe the area fifty one or portal theories. I think it's something more simple as you know pilots. Just underestimate the the crazy weather. That happens around mountains but who knows maybe portals. Maybe it's aliens you know. Gotta have. I like to think it's possible. So that is. That is all i had show. I agree with you on that. I think it's it's more likely attributed to the thing that makes the most reasonable sense. But i like to always think that there's something like something. I won't say more sinister going on but something more interesting happening that that makes it worth tuning into our show. I wouldn't i would like to say. I've i've hiked survived two of the triangles now. So i've hiked in the alaska triangle and the nevada triangle. And i've made it out alive so you're starting to really push the boundaries. I know you just gotta go on a sailing trip in the bermuda triangle. Then we'll i have the well. Let's take a little paddle board out miami for like twenty minutes and we'll come back and then we'll technically have done swimming off the beach in miami. You've probably been in the bermuda triangle. So boom done it. Just in tahoe. So there you go so yeah. That's all i had anything else. Joe from your end nope thanks again for tuning into our show. We appreciate all of you for listening and sharing locations with your friends.

"Impression but yeah they if they falling just right they orbit. That's why things orbit smaller or bigger things. But they're like we kind of know how it works but we don't understand why it works. They aren't they know gravity. They know the basics of it but they don't fully understand why mass they don't understand why you know. Why does mass bends space time. So things like that. So i maybe there is some strange thing going on in these areas that we don't know the episode. You were joe on the history channel. When they were talking about the brand new triangle. They talked about that one pilot who was flying and all of a sudden he said he was like in some kind of wormhole and came out the other end and he was over miami but he was hundreds of miles away forty minutes. Yeah yeah. He skipped like forty minutes in time and his clocks it match. And i mean you could. He could be full crap or he could be truthful. Who knows but or there was like a real quick tiny blip in space. Something caused a rift in space time. That allowed that to happen. He was in the right place right time and was lucky enough. That didn't crash playing. I mean there are hundreds of disappearances in the nevada triangle that the plane has never been found. Now that doesn't mean it's in alpha centauri now because it went through some hole but you know it's that simpsons episode where they're all dumping their garbage and aliens aliens on the other side of like adopted all of our trash technology remember like because they're throwing away microsoft zun deep players and all the zoos zoo so i won't spend more time on portal's because my the final theory is one that i really like but yeah it's crazy probably not true but it's fun to talk about. It is fun to talk about. So the final theory is area fifty one in alliens because what would be a good conspiracy episode without talking about area. Fifty one in aliens but the nevada triangle area fifty one does flank. Its eastern border. A big chunk of it. And we we have a whole episode on nets the big chunk that we can see underground. I'd bet it encompasses a larger. Yeah so we did an entire episode area fifty one so you should go back and listen to that one. It's very interesting off plug. Yes self plug. I should actually put the episode number on here. But i show prep like i said. Eastern edge of the nevada triangle sits the highly classified government facility. Fifty one according to the us air force. The site has been used since one thousand nine hundred eighty five develop and test. Weapons and.

"He's not a dumb guy he understands. You know risks. I use a very experienced pilot. I just have questions about what he was doing. If he was out. Searching for somewhere to do a new land speed record that's not up the sierra nevada's that would be you know out in the salt beds of nevada. Sure so i did. Was there something else going on here. Not just pilot error flying too close to the mountains. I know they say a lot of crashes. Do happen in the mountains because pilots are inexperienced. And they underestimate the winds involved in. Yeah this wouldn't be him. This wouldn't be him he wouldn't he pro you know. He went fly that close to the mountains. So i don't know. I i feel like something else was going on with this crash. Maybe he had a medical emergency and became unconscious like had a heart attack. Or something is plane. Just flew too close to the mountains or There was a lot of at the time. There is a lot of rumors going around in the public that he he purposely disappeared to avoid the stress of life. And things like that I don't buy that. He was a and they found the body. Yeah so i mean. It's while he was still missing. I'd say that would be a potential thing. So yeah so i you know the the. The official cause of his disappearance was basically pilot error and wind conditions. i don't i it just doesn't seem like something such an experienced pilot with do What do you think do you kind of same frame of that. Yeah i yeah. I don't think i'm seeing anything here. Hearing anything from you. That sounds super shady. Like with all the experience i mean. Let's look at this way when he when you have experience in you know what you're doing that reduces the likelihood of something going wrong to very small yeah. It doesn't eliminate the fact that he's a human being and human beings make mistakes. No matter how expert yards something all takes his one air. There's also that. I mean he was older and i'm going to use this. Just just as like an ageism thing of you. Take less risks when you get older. You're not like cocky. So i'm not thinking like maybe he was trying to do something crazy. He's probably just playing it smart but who knows maybe he just got to go. Ro- like do something fun. Yeah and made a calculation error or like was taking a risk that he knew as a risk but you know maybe his experience kind of got the best of him in that regard where he thought he could do something in. Couldn't i don't know i i would say. I don't see. Eddie conspiracies here where i would in some of the other stories. Yeah.

Yeah i mean so he. that's awesome. Yeah i i'm shocked. They didn't turn this into a movie. Or maybe they did but he apparently he had he carried took the parachute with him to keep warm. So amazing amazing story of survival but in one thousand nine hundred seventy seven. A group of boy scouts hiking in the area found a canopy that authorities believed was. From steve's t thirty-three wreckage has never been found So this is wow. This is kind of interesting. So i'll say my questions i had was What happened to his jet. You know was it. Is it just lost in the wilderness. Now when i was doing research on this specific incident there was a lot of This was at the height of the cold. War was kicking off. We were kind of getting into a competition with the russians at this time and there was a lot of rumors that he sold the crash jet to the soviets and that he was kind of like a soviet double agent within the united states military might landed at somewhere and then he like built elaborate backstory as something like that yeah and he. He claimed that's totally not true. I you know i. It did experience Issues and i had to a checked. The thing that adds to the mystery will never know because he actually ended up dying in a plane crash only a few few years later. Nineteen sixty five. So was that plane. Crash suspect at all they. They claim it was just a mechanical issues with his plane and he went down with it. But veda the military. So okay which you know. I know i know i'm being i'm being no. I mean provocative. So like i said back. Then you know. These pilots would fly new and unproven jets a lot of times. It would go down or did was he a double agent and he was selling us military technology and they got rid of him. That's kind of what. I was getting that they found out. That actually was a double agent or selling secrets. And they're like He died in a plane crash. That's so weird. Yeah so it's just another strange incident that happened within the nevada triangle. So all right. Let's move on to our next incident. This one maybe. That's why there's no movie on it because you know. Cia hollywood especially back. Then we're totally tied in. They're not gonna make a movie about that if he's if he's the bad guy. Yeah it it would make for really interesting movie. Actually the whole him selling secrets and that faking. That would be a great move. Yeah so anybody listening. Who is a movie producer. Great idea re-adjust. I give us a shout out in the movie. Forgiving you the idea yeah The the pre was the producer that did the all the alien shows. Oh i can't. I can't remember his name. I guess this or path theon prometheus prometheus do a made for tv history channel move area. Were consult on it for you like we definitely don't need you to so moving onto our next incident. This is august twelfth. nineteen sixty four businessman and developer. Charles charles ogle took off from international airport in assessment a two day on his way to las vegas nevada. Charles was a world war. Two and korean war veteran and he was a trained. Marine corps. pilot Him and his plane on route to las vegas. Jimenez plane were never seen or heard from again..

"I think some think it's eighty five percent or so of households are going to get some sort of money. Lots of different lots of money for municipalities. I think nevada's slated get something like four point one billion dollars or so actually more than five all local governments in the state is. There's there's quite a lot you know there for that. There's childcare credits. I learned that my my wife was telling me the other day that we're going to get like one hundred thirty dollars a month from now on until the rest of the end of the year in child to pay for childcare. Which is nice. It's a thousand dollars a month but you know one hundred and thirty. It'll help with head i can. I can buy some groceries or something. But there's there's a lot of those types of things that that are in there a lot of help for folks who are on food assistance of have increased unemployment insurance unemployment benefits and things like that at least until september so mid-september But you know. I think that there's it's definitely a clear. Victory you know for the biden campaign is some things that zakho nine actually. I saw tweeted about saying that. The last time biden was here this this piece of legislation. A lot of these things are specifically what he talked about with. You know sort of the statewide leaders here in nevada and conan at said on twitter that he really he said the state really really needs. This really needs to support for local governments to sorta backstop them to keep people employed in very important jobs and keep public safety jobs things like that. So there's a lot to to that. That's that's really good. But i you know to me. The most interesting thing was also the process. So i don't know we can just talk about what's in the bill. I'm sure you've got a lot more factoid than than i i definitely want to talk about the process of it because it was. It was almost farcical at times. What you saw happening in these senate and house chambers during the passage of this thing. Oh yeah no absolutely. There were some ridiculous things that and going back to what we were talking about. At the beginning here you have people in the bernie sanders wing. Who wanted a minimum wage increase of fifteen dollars an hour. This is something that everybody i think. even republicans. I think agree that the minimum wage with hasn't been raised in in more and more than a decade Is far too low. Now it's it's Poverty way to. It's not a living wage by any stretch of the imagination. And so they wanted to put it in this package. It was in the original version But then the senate parliamentarian ruled that no. You can't do that under budget. Reconciliation rules and so you have to take it out now. There were people who were saying. Oh how with that. You know overrule the parliamentarian. They can do that. The vice president could could go up there and said nope overruled were putting it in and it would subject to obviously legal attack. But the you've got you've got the bernie sanders. People who are now in charge of the nevada democratic party saying look see. This is what we're talking about a bill that would help people a measure that would help people a get a be able to have a living wage is is shunted aside because the moderates won't take on the system they won't rock the boat Because of these byzantine rules. Why should a parliamentarian a single person on elected by anybody and these byzantine roles of the senate stand in the way of progress and good things for people..

"She got a very nice message from them from from suzy. Lee specifically not even from like an office or or anything like that they they spoke and also treasures at conan. I had heard also reached out. Reached him right away who has not received a nice message from. He was the first person he's when i moved here. He was one of the first both me and my wife. We got nice messages from the treasurer as well so there is that but you know it's not i you know i don't want it to definitely people should know that it's not it's not toll. Every elected official is not blackballing or refusing to speak to this party. I mean there is some agreement. And i think going forward you are going to see even among court has maso select. You are going to see at least publicly support for the party. There are events or whatever all of this is going to be done behind closed doors and with money and things like that. That's where you're going to see if there really is subdivision. Absolutely and just one last thing. I on on the issue of of the state party in that he is if the folks in the state party wanna primary dina titus and congressional district. I will say this. This is conditional because because dina titus If she is not ambassador to greece which which which is a raw I'm not gonna say remote possibility. But it's in the realm of possibility if she is selected by president biden ambassador to greece. And and does that job If that does not happen and she's still the congresswoman in congressional district one and they want to run a primary against dina titus good luck she has the most savvy long serving politicians in the state of nevada and with good reason Because she knows she pre she protects their flank. And let me tell ya She was the only person in the delegation who embraced medicare for all. I mean you don't get more progressive than that so if you if you start to to to purge people based on you know she made a very pragmatic decision to endorse. Joe biden in that decision may come back to benefit The state of nevada. If you're going to start to to purge people because oh will they were for biden. Him biden is a moderate and bernie was the guy Then i think there's going to be problems. I think there will be problems. If that purge mentality comes in and that is certainly evident on social media whether or not that is going to be the part of the policy of the party i think is still remains an open question but there are certain people who certainly support the in the party who want to start the purchase right now and that s helpful to anybody if they absolutely yeah on the dina titus they i mean. That's you're talking about somebody who literally taught politics too many of the people currently in politics in the state as a class and in twenty years in the legislature acne western on the campaign trail to once said of one of her students. She once said this..

"A lot of the power that they had maybe maybe twenty eight twenty sixteen but it did take years to sort of write that ship if you're a democrat and so there there is a lot at stake right away for the. Yeah definitely and the cd. Three race is a perfect example of of What we were talking about earlier You know you You you suzy. Lee is is a good democrat for that district because she's a moderate and There's a lot of people who are progressives who don't like moderates and think will wire their you know what's the point Of having a moderate democrat you might as well have a republican in there But But but honestly if you ran a if bernie sanders moved to southern nevada got gave up his mittens gave up. His jacket moved to southern nevada. in lived here and decided to run for congress in the in the third congressional district he'd have an uphill climb. It would be tough for bernie sanders to win notwithstanding the fact that he would have total progressive. Support the district currently drawn. And we'll see how it's drawn at the end of the summer when they re district the district is currently drawn would be a very tough sledding for bernie sanders And and i it's not as tough for sicily because of their ideological differences and so that's a perfect example. Now you have april becker Who is a good candidate. She was a very good candidate in that state. Senate race And i think she'll be a very good candidate for For this district assuming she wins the primary. You're gonna have to have somebody who can't be painted as a crazy out of touch socialist. Who wants to take away. Everybody's healthcare and give government healthcare You you if you have that kind of person who would be much easier for a republican challenger to to win that seat and certainly. It's happened many times before in the history of the third congressional district so that district has kind of a good example of the the consequences of of these kind of things. And what potentially could go wrong You need a etiological diversity in the party because of the ideological diversity of the districts and if you do a poor job of matching candidate to district you lose and the other side wins and And you know that may Be for for democrats again a disaster like it wasn't twenty sixteen with donald trump winning the presidency And so you know. These things have to be taken into consideration and the political realities of those things have to be taken into consideration. So i think that's that's that's gonna come into play For some of the central committee voters not all but some of the central committee. Voters will look at things outweigh and i think. See the the pragmatic reality of of what's going on there so that'll that'll be a factor share sharon and certainly as we always say we'll be watching it the next week and be the the following saturday coming from the saturday in which they actually you make this vote and you get a good sense of where the democratic party in nevada. The sort of the empowered party is what i call them in the story because they really have a a pretty tight grip on things most of the state most the federal seats the the majority in both legislative houses and things like that..

"So I think there's still a lot of back and forth on it I spoke to a few people including groceries been looking at polls for a lot longer than I've been alive and everybody's everybody's. Consensus seems to be Biden has the advantage. There's there's it's measurable in pretty much every way the by its Biden's to lose I think most people would say you know the trump campaign is working they're out there registering you see the Democrats and their allies have really kind of stepped up in the last couple of weeks. You know they're they're getting out the vote. Sort of actions. Now, normally, they'd be doing that for like a year. So so the there is some wiggle rooms there's a window I think that the trump campaign is trying to crawl through but you know when you look at the survey and you get a little bit deeper, you know it wasn't that Rosie for trump because we also asked folks, you know what they thought of. Of their number one motivation was and by far the most common motivation for voting was forgetting trump out of office about a quarter of the pioneer said that that was a reason second-place was the economy added about seventeen percent, and then also if you look at who do you trust, we asked folks who do you trust to you know sorta gets out of this corona virus mass and trump in the federal government were near the bottom of that as well. So so not super rosy for trump, but I, do think. It's it's their best poll of the state in in months so far. So maybe maybe there's something to be clean there and to me I, just shows you know what everybody's been saying what we've been saying for months it's it's still very much a swing state. It's still very much anybody's ballgame. The that's for sure. We should also mention a couple of other top top results. Don blankenship gone one percent in our poll. If you're wondering who don blankenship is use the Constitution Party candidate. Nationally. He is running here in the state of Nevada, under the independent American party banner. and. Joe Jorgensen got three percent she is the libertarian candidate. For. President. So Um so there's probably some libertarians there now whether that will see that in the final analysis, we we to see none of these candidates by the way got four percent which beats the independence and third parties there. So I'm sorry visa third parties, not the independence and so that is an option that's on Nevada's ballot that sort of unique to the State Nevada but yeah, twenty five percent did say their motivation was getting rid of trump. and seventeen percent said, their motivation was the economy. And there's really no way to tell how that economy question of the benefits trump refit benefits biden. On one side of you could say, will trump was being charged with pretty good economy until the coronavirus head and and. His ad saying if you put him back in charge, we'll get back to. What that good economy was all about on the other hand. You can have people say the economy is terrible right now we want to a change to make it better could. Occur. Well for for Joe Biden. The the actual, the highest, the number of people specified another reason..

"Nevada caucus is coming and I read in politico who knows if it's true or not that their plan B. is to distribute I pads with cell phones inside the iPad's so that it they can all communicate to Nevada caucus central and report to us the results of the first round in the second round in the viability they're doing it again Liz they're doing it again they're gonna come up with a mess and well CNN is gonna dutifully reported but the only thing we can count on is at some point in the evening or maybe the week will learn that Bernie Sanders is ahead the Democrats cannot get anything right this year there behind the eight ball well it it is a concern in Nevada because though they have been scrambling to change this they were going to use the same exact allied that spelled and Iowa so they just scrapped that and they've gone back as you say to sort of more traditional reporting but the truth is imagine trying to get this thing soul sorted out and set up in such a short period of time they thought they were ready they are not ready no they're not they're not even practicing to be ready and they're back up as the telephone get this the telephone how secure is that that's their backup plans well is call it in and we saw in Iowa that when they all start calling it in the fall right it's jam reggae get through so it and there is a possibility that it's another mass for sure and of course the other element is interesting and new and different is that Mike Bloomberg will be on that stage right thank you coming up for a before the Iraq before the univac carcass right even though he's not this is tomorrow night even though he is not competing in Nevada in which is on Saturday the clock as he will be on the stage because the DNC wisely I think change the rules so that happened having a huge number of online donor so no longer or donors in general was not any longer a reckless at now it was just here national polling and Bloomberg has been over ten percent hold at over ten percent in for national polls so he will be on that stage along with five others and they will all be gunning for him for sure because he is rapidly rising in the polls but he should be on that stage because so far all voters have seen of him is glossy ads paid for by now over four hundred million dollars which is more than by the way every other candidate put together has spent on advertising so now we have Mike Bloomberg to progressive lastest who's trying to or in the primary the candidacy and it's going to be pretty interesting and by the way it's a very good thing for the DNC because the audience for these debates has been as you know tumbling so I think this is going to be a much more watched event that it would have been otherwise if Mike Bloomberg was the number the younger man I'd say he doesn't know who he is less it's very confusing identity writes this keep sailors Ising for the Mike Bloomberg that we talk to you know have got used to when he was may we all right yeah right so yeah the end the puzzle here also is that the polling suggests this is in a close race anymore no more Sanders is pulling away from everybody including Mike Bloomberg and not just in Nevada the national polling now maybe it's maybe it's gonna change suddenly but Sanders looks like he's a dominant player if it was anybody else but Bernie Sanders this city over it's true except he still has a pretty constrained amount of the vote in other words Bernie Sanders has never really gotten over thirty percent of the vote which is why there's more and more expectation that this will go in Milwaukee to a bartered brokered convention right at which point Mike Bloomberg will haul out all that **** sit is he is owed from across the country and hopes to persuade Democrats that he is a likely candidate I tell you what's on this cannot turn out well for Democrats because if it is Bernie Sanders I don't think he's a viable candidate in modern America if it isn't the Bernie Sanders contingent will not be happy clams and a lot of them will stay home so I I think this as send Bernie Sanders is very worrisome we've seen it all over the headlines Democrat leaders of all kinds are worried about it but they can't stop it they can't stop it or don't want to lose weight what do you say dear are they are they ready to lose with Sanders because it'll punish the progressives do you think that that is I don't know that eating that that's that's not occam's razor Inez too complicated I think Sanders losing in the primaries that would be enough of a blow to the progressive movement era and it it it isn't happening you know and and what's interesting to me is the word that is attached to Bloomberg and they started Bernie Sanders is authenticity a lot of people don't really like all of his prescriptions for what ails our economy where they think ails our economy but they like the fact that he is who is seven and they know who he is in there but he's believable in the sense that he never changes his tune I think that raises a real flag about Mike Bloomberg who and and some others to like Elizabeth Warren who basically doesn't have anything to say today that sounds like what he used to say five years ago or three years ago it isn't in Bloomberg's case like Joe Biden talk about things he did thirty five years ago this is immediate right and so it's not particularly believable this page she's a columnist at the hill as well as writing and fox news and she's much on fox business this was the national politics reports sponsored by scholar dot com leading the wave The system was pretty impressive. This peer reviewed in nature. It's it's got a company they're going to bring this to market. It's very small. I get to centimeters. You're not making all you know any Lego toys for your kids with this but Part Heart Valve. Maybe especially if they get it up to fifteen centimeters. I mean it's impressive. How fast the stuff prince in this machine? Because it's just a shooting into a liquid and creating the solid object. It's almost like a replicator right except the liquid materials already there. It's not appearing out of anywhere. Yeah when you when you hear about this you go okay. Three protein is getting faster when you watch video of how it works. You're like wow. That's it's it. Feels like something has materialized out of thin air. Yeah because it's it's the advancements in ai because the algorithm can be you know can direct the lasers to exactly the right places so that it will in fact create the solid objects at exactly the right places. So it's much more. Precise can be used for interior decorating. They think because you don't have to finish the item. They come out polished. Just make it perfect from the beginning. This is a pretty big advance. It'll be interesting to see where it goes. I know a lot of people in the three D. Printing space will be annoyed with the fact that I'm like whatever happened to Three D. Printing and it was gonna be was GONNA change everybody's lives and I know that it is extremely helpful for lots of things if you need to make something but this seems like okay now. We're really getting somewhere because it's almost instantaneous. To get all the tech headlines each day about five minutes be sure to subscribe to daily tech headlines Dot Com in light of the failure of the APP used in the Iowa Caucus earlier this month in the United States. Nevada reportedly decided not to use that same APP but instead they're using a tool. It's not an APP. They say at least sources say they say it's a preinstalled tool on an IPAD. That's not connected to the internet which I would also call an APP just one. That's not connected to the internet or the one made by shadow for the Iowa caucus but there is in fact the difference. The IOWA APP was meant to transmit the vote and delegate count to the state that's why it was Internet connected. This Nevada ipad tool the volunteers are describing various. Alex seems to be for use only in the room to calculate the numbers because calculating the numbers and collating all those numbers during the caucus is complex. So it's essentially if I get this right Justin. It's a glorified calculator. Yes and here is one of the differences between Nevada an Iowa Nevada will begin early voting within the next few days that means that preset locations you can go and caucus a about a week ahead of time so at those precincts those calculators will be preloaded theoretically with the early voting that would result in. That would have gone that. Tracy this is like telling your dungeon master here all the things to do During the game I won't be there right because a caucus we think of is like you go to that corner of the room if you support that candidate and what's happening on early voting if I have it right. Justin you basically put down your choices in order like I'm for this person but if they don't survive the first round then go to this person but if that one's also not around go to this person that Cetera exactly so think of it because we are in Vegas the Mecca of gambling that pre-vote will be kind of like a point. Spread the way that you would bet in the way that if you see the Miami Dolphins Against The Dallas cowboys the Miami Dolphins minus seven. That would be. Let's say Bernie Sanders. He will be minus seven because Elizabeth. Warren has gotten seven votes. If that makes any sense you're the the the what I WANNA ask. Everybody here is that. Let's imagine that we do live in twenty twenty and you do want to modernize and make the process of the caucus faster and cleaner and so you do want to implement some kind of technology to make it easier for everybody but you don't WanNa go full Iowa and have a total meltdown disaster by the way an APP that was initially bought by Nevada for this caucus and apparently Nevada loved it so much. They recommended it to Iowa I than the one that had the exploding cigar So now Nevada has dropped it and has this tool. But how do you handle it? Yeah because the tricky part is you've got some complex math going on you don't want I mean if you're just do it on paper doing it on paper would be absolutely more complex than using a computer. We have computers. We're not talking about the Internet here. I think it would be silly not to use a computer somehow to do this. Because you're going to have all these people who voted early and they're ranked choices that you need to take into account in addition to the people standing in the caucus right. And so. If I have I don't know an excel spreadsheet that has all the early voting data in it and I can just go in and fill in a form that says okay for the first round in the room at this many for this candidate this many for that candidate and then it calculates ID. That's great sounds like that's the idea for this ipad tool. Yeah isn't an APP but I don't know why you had to create something from scratch. There's so many tools that would do this. And if you're going to be off line anyway then it's just a matter of double checking to make sure that the data entry is correct and people are trained on the tool. And you're already having to do that with the IPAD TOOL. So why not use something? That's proven frigging Microsoft. Excel now the one thing that we can tell you is that we don't know whether or not it is. Excel Baby. It is right. No idea exactly what this particular tool is. We just know that it was a precinct. Captains were trained on last Saturday. That apparently was not a seamless process. At least according to all reports of those that were there but at the very least there is the there are a few things going Nevada number one a lot. Fewer people in Nevada caucuses than they do in Iowa and I will. It is a cultural tradition in Nevada. They've only been doing it since two thousand and eight number two. It happens a lot earlier. Check in for caucusing is at ten. Am and the caucus happens at noon. Now it happens on a weekend so you're able to get out a little bit earlier. It's not like people will be leaving work in less. Obviously they have a tremendous service economy that works on the weekends. They're coming up your city right but even then the casinos are holding their own. People are going to be allowed to leave their shifts. So everybody if you were going to be in Vegas that weekend make sure you get at least two drinks at eleven fifty five. That's that's fantastic and we will. Of course Wait to hear how this APP DOES. But if you have a suggestion you're like this.

"Community opportunities that girl scouts can provide for different organizations and so our fundraising supported that are fundraising. Also supported. staff led troops in Title one schools so he have like we have a couple of troops that are more than twenty girls that are led by our staff as well as teachers and those girls like would rather come to our vets and go to school. So we're trying to work on. You know shifting that because those those leaders say look if you wanna volunteer at seven. Am on saturday morning. I want you to be as enthusiastic about coming to school at seven. Am as you are going to girl scouts at seven. Am on saturday. So i mean it's a it's interesting It's interesting story because They are engaged. And that's making a difference so it's a little at a time but the fundraising really funds. Those opportunities for the girls and then outside of our dessert before dinner we participate in nevada gives giving tuesday And we have cookies and cakes for different crowd of Givers you know people who like to come together and you enjoy some cookies and some beer. And and i know that yes. Yeah so we brought that back and We have a different people who don't go to cook Dessert before dinner will come to that. So it's about offering opportunities for different people that want to give back and then we are working with corporations with Volunteering so Have couple corporations here that want to have their employees actually have identified girl scouts as an organization they want to volunteer with so we're preparing opportunities for them and engaging them with some programs very nice i learned a bunch of things. I did not know incredible. Now let's talk a little bit about gender because we have the boy scouts of america. We have the girl scouts of america. And you know as time moves on we there's more talk about a gender spectrum And maybe there might be a boy who like to be involved in girl scouts and so on. So let's start with just the girl scouts. In general what do you think are the benefits of still having a girl. Specific program For young for young girls to attend Well there's a lot of information out there and statistics about girls participation and all-girl environment versus their participation and a co ed environment..

"And so although i lived here for nineteen years i was travelling so so people that i knew here. I wasn't as rooted in our community because our clients and our investments where elsewhere and so It was a more worldly experience requiring a lot of trouble and the highest the highest end projects so luxury hotels and resorts for four seasons mandarin oriental. So the cream of the crop. And then i decided to make a change. I felt like should i know i felt like something was missing. I mean you know when you're doing such exceptional work and have such exceptional clients. It's it's so rewarding and Relationship building was a strength of mine that and and not only that but more importantly it's relationships mental ought to me so every relationship i've made professionally and personally along the way have been so important. That I wanted to maintain those relationships but i wanted to try something new and so i started working at a construction company because i liked the idea of female anna anna construction world as a leader and i lead The new business development and some of the marketing and pr for a short time before this opportunity to be co girl. Scouts of southern nevada came up and the job opening came to me via email through my sister and She said you should do this. Mom would be so proud and was like a what like. That's a tightly. Hold on this is a complete shift. It takes me a warm up to certain things. I'm not a quick. i don't i don't change gears. Quickly i. I'm i analyze everything. I'm i'm more of an analytical thinker creatively an analytically but i i had to look at it and i was like oh this as i start looking to just made sense because i love mentoring young professionals. I love being a mother. Love love love being a mother and you know sharing and the excitement and my kids. My children's friends And their their successes and then when they have challenges helping them work through their challenges. And i thought this is an opportunity to lead a team of individuals with a really strong mission. And it's a great brand. I mean it so mean having grown up in my professional life at disney brand centric brand and business was very important to me and making those decisions that relationships could continue to thrive and making a difference so most importantly it was making a difference. And so when. I started to look into this. I this opportunity i thought okay. Female young girls having their own safe-space and learning the you know how to be courageous building their character and building. Their confidence is so essential. I mean i had that when i was young. I you know there's more there's always more to learn. But i want every girl to have that opportunity that i had and that other girls have and so. I thought this was a perfect platform to make. A difference is to really to be that champion for young girls to have an opportunity to meet new friends to try new things to be in a safe space. not embarrassed in try. Just try things that they've never tried before and let them you know. Let them fall down and pick themselves back up and and really support one another. Because i mean i think we're getting better but we have a long way to go for women to support women. I think it's really important. And i think you learn at a young age. And so that's why our mission is so important is to really instill these qualities in these young girls from kindergarten. All the way through high school because that'll carry on with them and to their professional life or or their family life..
