"The whole process will take you less than two minutes to accomplish. We'll look forward to welcoming you on to the big impact insiders support Welcome back to the big impact where we share interesting, uplifting and encouraging stories hosted by Bill Hobson. Ware talking with, Okay, hinges here on the big impact. That's her pen. Name given name is Laura Howe and Laura Kind of buttoning up the military service part of your life. You You had some medical issues. I think a spinal injury. I understand right that Took you out of the air, literally and out of helicopters, Anything that you can share with us about how that happened and how you're feeling now. Definitely. Definitely. Good question, Bill. So when I was flying helicopters in the civilian sector, we were joking about how I started to fly on a little tiny helicopters, little bubble mosquito helicopters. I had no problems. I'm a small framed person on five to on a very tall day, so I am relatively short and I definitely flunk every military Size requirement in existence. So when I got my degree, very blessed to get my degree from the university, North Dakota and aeronautics that pave my way to get again air quote Ahe waivers. Military waivers for my size because I was already kind of did was already helicopter pilot civilian commercially, So the military actually did me a favor. They waived my my size requirements. The problem with that was when I want you fly the military, the Blackhawk. Helicopter. Do you? Wait 60 is what would they call it? I was a little bit too short. So I'm gonna give you a really fun injury. To imagine. I think of a very short person, Maybe a midget trying to drive a car. You might not be able to reach the pedals and see over the dash at the same time. So Empire time I was flying. I was in a very twisted kind of contorted position trying to see above the dashboard of the helicopter. It's not that different from a vehicle actually is not that different from a car. So the entire time I was rather twisted when physically so when I would try and fly or land the strain was getting pretty great on my back. So I started noticing my spine wasn't a lot of pain. So I let it go for weeks and weeks and weeks until I couldn't I couldn't carry a backpack anymore. I couldn't safely fly. I kept having to Hand controls over. We mentioned how in the military in the army when you fly helicopters, you fly to person ships, so I'd always have to give the controls over to my co pilot. It's not very safe nor responsible way to be functioning as a pilot, so I knew when I went in to get checked out, I knew it might be the last time I was gonna fly. And it wass. They found hairline fractures in my l five off my spine and If you have fraction Shit in your spine. You can't fly anymore. So my wings were taken away and I have not flown since that day. But I do have dreams and plans to Sunday learn how to fly an airplane and fled it around myself without the vibrations of the helicopter. How much do you miss it between us, which means between everyone who's listening, So I appreciate everyone here for going through this journey with me. I I miss it terribly, and that's probably To carry it through the rest of my experiences. That's probably why I pushed so hard and everything else I do because I'm looking for that same amount of passion and love and exhilaration in everything that I apply myself to. So that's why I've done some some pretty. I guess off the wall things ever since, For example, I hiked immediately after I found out that I was injured. When I medically retired, that was a turbulent process, by the way, But when the military finally let me go, Three years later, I decided to take a six month hiatus and I hiked the Appalachian Trail from Maine down to Tennessee with my husky, just me and my dog I wanted I wanted space. I want the mental clarity to be ableto think in process. And fall back in love with the world around me kind of shed some of that the bad feelings of resentment and, um, and his reconnect, So I did that. The style the better. Half myself was in Afghanistan and I decided just disappear for five Think was 5.5 months, my dog and I hiked and witches backpack, we backpacked abolition trail, And that was the very first thing I did when I departed the military just to kind of re ground myself. You are free spirit you've got. You know if you're gonna do that, by yourself with Dog. Obviously you're not too timid about being out there solo and had a re calibrating life and as part of what we mentioned earlier being a very diverse resume. You also exercise that desire to put some thoughts and ideas and stuff on paper before my report, and so we told you that Laura's given name was Laura and how her pending was lk Kenji and she has just released the book of Called the O'Leary in chronicles. Part one off. I think I may be a three book serious Is that correct? That is correct. Yes, Kimber is the first of the leering Chronicles is going to be a trilogy. And once I complete the trilogy, I might even actually be more excited for the prequels. I have. Ah, three part prequel planned this well for the serious because it just grew. To be such a concrete world that it really does. I think it's going to take three books. You explain the entire backstory Tio this particular story. So is there a very familiar character in these books? That might be roughly five to in dealing with an injury? Or do you project yourself into the store? I would say yes and no, I'm sure That my subconscious is in my experiences. My passion. I think that transcends the book. Probably more than I realized. I did try and make the character a little bit different than myself. But with a lot of similarities, sleeping my middle name for the okay is Kimberly Kimber is name of my Main female lead. She she's the heroine of the book. Her mother is named Kimberly. So I kind of fused some of my questions with this giant big, beautiful world definitely fuse those questions in the book, But I did it kind of merging Kimber and Kimberly because Kimber another sneak peek. Kimber is a character with Grafted DNA. I'm very intrigued by science very intrigued by religion and governance and social issues coming of age, answering those questions that we all have about our lives and The government and just and how we fit in in this world. So Kimber is the lead again. But she is one of 23 a very small experimental group of humans with DNA. That has been spliced to make them a little bit more resilient, so they actually I would laugh and call them the super heroes. They're more that's probably again again. More things, probably transcendent realize she is virtually definitely build headfirst. And like I said, the better half was.

You don't want to talk about today. Who should decide for you. Decide what Well, where your kids go back to school. I should decide that You should design that parents. I would think. Okay. In other words, if I feel I feel I feel concerned about the environment school to keep him home with my son. How about whether or not the school opens or not? Who should decide that? Good question. I think it ought to be people that I elect to a scoreboard. I vote for them. They govern this rule. Good point. I think it should be a superintendent who makes a lot of money. Super tense make out of that money. You know that? I mean, if you look at the if you look at jobs in a community superintendents rank right up there university presidents rank right up there. I mean, these are big salary jobs. Why? We pay them to do a job. Taxpayers pay them. Property taxes come Off of your property. To pay them to make decisions. In concert, obviously with the school board. Now we have a state superintendent, public instruction to her credit, Kirsten Bassler said. School should should decide. Right? The governor's waited on this, the president has said school show open Now I think the president giving his opinion is fine. Not saying school's open schools closed. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. "Tellem Scott sent you got to use the promo code Scott they get the good deals aren't Breanna from bill's mark who was telling us about some of the efforts related to the early county commission meeting is going to chat with us later on the program this our sixty two it should be here a little bit right now we walk the program the thirteenth president of the university of North Dakota the former dean of faculty at the US airforce academy in Colorado springs he is a former US Air Force brigadier general doctor Andrew Annika how are you Sir says Scott I'm good how are you wonderful I'm looking forward to having many many conversations over the years but this is a good chance for us to welcome you to a the university of North Korea this there's love by a lot of people in every corner of the this great state so welcome thank you and it's not just with only great statements around the nation about the people you're in Colorado who are you anti grads who have reached out to making graduated me and I know that the great state of North Dakota is represented nationally very well yeah we have that airforce well you know connection with obviously you and the but also what with the airforce base you Andy but also give the pilots that are coming up you you you know you in the way back to the order guard yours the Clifford yours is pretty phenomenal they're they're spread out all over at the they are right and in fact many airforce ROTC graduates go through the program through the mediation program and that become great pilots for bush and double checked on the flight back to Colorado the great interactions with yeah and your graduated twenty two and again in Johnson circle with who passed along his regards as he overheard the conversation about my solution is the thirteenth president someplace I'm not hiding you Eddie graduates in aviation graduates all over the place one of your career do you think best bets for your leadership as president of you in the well I've had many years of study or force academy most military members don't spend as much time in a single place of twenty years as a senior academic literacy of course academy involved with the broad institutional decisions everything for project across all of the curriculum issues and and athletics as well and so I think the preparation and the work that we've done at the airforce academy test me up nicely that similarities between the people who choose to go to these two schools airforce academy about service it's about they're working on academically honest they had to do some the students at the university of North Dakota they're just absolutely wonderful people work hard and want to make a difference in the world tell me about your leadership philosophy I would think with a military about background there be some in the education community it's a you know is is is is this going to be a you know more of a military style leadership from from you in the which by the way I would think would be anything but a good thing but you know what what I how do you transition from from a military leader to an education later what a great question and most people have form their opinion of what the literary leadership is based on Hollywood movies and other types of kind of public displays that to be an effective military leaders you need to strong sense of collaboration selling ideas and indeed some certain some settings you do have to make tough calls and say we're moving in a certain direction let's go about at a university of course collaboration and participation by students faculty and staff in the decision making process these is important and that's actually gonna style that I've used very effectively force academy trying to involve the ideas of this of the many rather than the ideas of the person top what do you think you any most needs right now well not a ghost abilities and that I know about the sense of the cohesion and then bringing the community together the sense I had on campus was we just that that they're looking for a person is going to be fully committed to the institution for open for an extended period of time and that's what I bring up but we also have to combine that with the vision of what we can do academically stuff the great strategic plan was created by the camp one did you read the and that really out why did I struggled from the future direction of the campus I think that's a great starting point was a takeover is the president and it provides a great foundation to build from but focusing on on the the undergraduate education the liberal arts component make sure that everybody's well well founded but on the technology side there's a let down grand challenges for researching five key areas everything from World Health on a beach in unmanned systems and also tried to wrestle with big data and what challenges exist there is a lot of those tremendous opportunities on the campus to to grow you know the university of North Dakota has a had a challenge a post Tom Clifford and I always used to joke with people that in a filing Tom Clifford like following Ronald Reagan just never going to be anything that can down you know there and it said that was just the the the club for legend man was your friend of mine and and a wonderful wonderful leader he just was fabulous but I mean poor Ken Baker has to come in after him it okay but you know always a little bit of a challenge and then took up cello a kind of the same thing not exactly the best bet professor and you know didn't go well at all the controversy over the name and and then you go to wives name forget it scared me right now doc of president Kelly Bob Kelly who was you know but most by most people's up you know description non sort of retirement track you know I mean you're young guy you're you're younger than I am I feel old the the the president you and he is younger than I am all my gosh but you know I you know I mean at present Kelly was it was checked out it was it was it was going on to something else so a lot of that Grand Forks in a business community leadership community you and the family and and supporters over the years are almost before worn out by all this and more Kennedy was a friend of mine but you know it wasn't that the perfect fit obviously and and and and and and yeah that you mention that one you any plan yeah the first time I talked to mark Kennedy about his plans for you any mention when you Andy and and and and doing that and that's a pretty good framework if he doesn't get a lot of credit for but there were some good things there too you know how do you think you just operate in that environment knowing that since Clifford you've got a lot of folks that are just in it you talk about the stability earlier but how do how do you just put all that in the past and really put the people of these so you can put you in the war we all want it's a real challenge of course when you come to have the legendary figure that complements name showed up at the beginning of of of my search anytime I spoke with somebody from the university a lot hi or or others Tom Clifford name always came up and it was clear that he had the respect of the you have a dispatcher on campus that that you would expect of a president and then every every other president subsequently I had a great contributions as well in their own way and with strong personality all all you do is offer my commitment hello the students faculty and staff of the university and then that'll put my heart soul into everything we do the hi my own leader I hate to cut bring some characteristics that will will will be embraced by the university but I don't pretend to be Tom Clifford not to put yourself up against a benchmark like that and and have people expect you to be just like him but I am myself I I have one of the purchase of a policeman but some cheesy I used to tell you that I said this in the interview but foundation built on loving your people in other words take care of them deeply in a way that allows them to grow and to become a great citizen there are those people you know your cabinet your faculty your staff your students are all of the above I would only one and it's the the local Grand Forks community being active there and working closely with the state legislature at the of course the the board of higher education for the state and so it's it's really everyone to them the foundation is in terms of training people to respect goes in every direction to everyone on the campus tell me one thing that you think you're super excited to to to put into the Max that you think this will be just perfect you've given us a fabulous overview of your overall planning and strategy and I have no doubt as a general you're going to you're going to execute that with a precision but it what what what would be one thing that we can look back to three years that started because the oppression armor cost game due to you Andy that you think will be most impactful on you and the well I think a a restoration of the campus culture but specifically on programs the first thing I want to do is sit down with that one do indeed planted involved for the campus community and figure out what what directions do we have the resources or do we need the resources to to take off on I think we were just stepping out into the idea of of big data the with the growth of the data science program and and some analytics programs and and how we how we understand the role of those students developing that the right way to live in this this autonomous world this is what they're calling industry four point no so the sports industrial revolution and how do we give them the tools to succeed not just technically but also one of unnecessary human component of so you'll see a lot of effort growing areas such as you AT and big data eidetic there's resources available so to really capitalize upon those growth areas but again there's other areas that will emerge and I'm I'm sure the conversations with the campus community as we really tighten up strategic plan well we look forward to a new chapter in the leadership of the university North Dakota and of certainly.

"All right. I want to make this really clear. I don't have a problem with you on Mar because of her because he's a Muslim I don't have a problem with Muslims I have a problem with the Islamists. and I believe she is an Islamist she supports Islamist organizations care Muslim Brotherhood she wants an inner over Israel a miffed get into that are in a second she she supports all the things that I think are really really not good. and I don't have a problem with her coming from another country Somalia Somalia was a war torn country was horrible and I do want to be a place of refuge but I want to be a place of refuge for people who want to be here and understand our culture. you know we welcome refugees but you have to be a part of America. now you on Omar has a strange backstory and there is new breaking news today and you're probably hearing about it for the first time on this broadcast it's only been broken on Twitter by Caleb hole and a few others now are starting to pick this up this is something that we have been on for a while and congresswoman Omar I invite you I will never be nasty to you I just want answers to questions I invite you to be on this program I invite you to come on television I invite you to write to us and just answer a few questions because if this is false. America and I and II he should know it we should stop saying these things about you if it's false but the evidence is overwhelming and luckily you were incredibly helpful by aligning all what fifteen questions on Twitter and you tag you're in them so she would know where they are she could easily go back and find a mentor feed answer each one she can do it publicly on Twitter she writes that some and I enjoyed doing it and I'm going to add to that today and I'm going to re tweet all of the holiday so it's easy for her first and foremost I said that she was you know going to destroy America somehow or some way we in a in a out of context media matters post she was very upset that I was lying about her and that I had said she's trying to destroy America. so I guess the first question is how are we lying please clear these things up I'm I'm gonna give you set a set of questions here including the new tweaks that came out was discovered that you made in twenty thirteen. that seems like by means smoking gun kind of proof that yep you married your brother. so please respond to provide any information. first destroy America you're saying that I'm lying I'd like to know how I am lying. now the destroy America line like all media matter clips was taken out of context but how exactly would you describe behavior like embarking on a trip to Israel sponsored by Mister. miffed us are anti Semites they published an American neo **** a treatise called who rules America the alien grip on our news and entertainment media must be broken this is one of the most vile almost Hitler ask kind of things I've ever read it makes me uncomfortable even read the words out loud. but that's who sponsored your trip to Israel miffed also published blood libel claiming Jews use the blood of Christians in the Jewish Passover. really this is who you find credible. they also celebrated a terrorist to that killed thirty eight Israelis including thirteen children. I am provide links for you but I know you know this but I'll provide all the links for you so you can see all of these stories and all the things that they are holding up that's helpful she'd have to search for them thanks a lot of time she's a congresswoman missed also celebrated a female suicide bomber name wafa calling her the beginning of a string of Palestinian women dedicated to sacrificing their lives for the cause. now does dealing with groups as vile is miffed demonstrate the love for America and our values that you claim to uphold. for mood is something that you tweeted about and I would just like to know if if you represent American values can you help me out with the tweet where you said the United States must support **** mood. it is a it's a. telecom company in some all you in and you say it does great great things. however her mood has been identified by the United Nations not exactly a right wing organization as a financier and supporter of the terror group al Shabab which is al Qaeda in Somalia. this is well documented are you working on the right side or are you knowingly engaging with all of these groups that happened to be aligned with terrorist and against the. I was gonna say against the United States but really against all mankind and freedom. is becoming a United States elected official to promote U. N. identified supporters of al Qaeda. the is that becoming of a of an elected official here in the United States. also the allegation has been married they've been made that you married your brother now this one Ilan is the easiest to disprove. but please do so. now I know this is complex because if you indeed did marry your brother there is going to be a problem on fraud there's also going to be an immigration fraud because your not and Mar. and we understand and I'm now you give you sympathy for being in a being in a camp a U. N. refugee camp and having the opportunity to come here to the United States of America. and you come under a false name with another family this is this is well documented that this is happening all over Somalia it's why we had to stop so many people coming in from Somalia because. a lot a good portion of people coming in are not who they say they were. now. this allegation should be really easy to disprove because if it's a nasty rumor I want to help you squash it I was not a birther I didn't buy into the birth certificate thing. so I want to stand for the truth. but if it's untrue why did you delete all of the social media post that back up the allegation that you married your brother and I'm not saying you married your brother for love you were spiritually married to your first husband in two thousand two and you had two kids and I claim that you love them and even during your second marriage with your brother I contend that you actually loved him and were actually living with your first husband your brother too but I think you were sleeping with your first husband because you had a faith marriage to him then you have a faith divorce in two thousand eight and a month later you had a legal Christian marriage. to your brother L. me. why why the Christian marriage you are clearly a devout Muslim why would you get married legally to a Christian man when you didn't support to the legal marriage thing with your first husband you believe that sharia law is greater than all other laws and so you didn't marry your first husband legally you just had a faith marriage why have a legal marriage and a Christian marriage to your next husband who really strongly appears to be your brother and then why did that happen right before you and your new husband A. K. A. your brother went to college at the same university North Dakota state university and why did you get a divorce I'm sorry why did you get a separation from your brother your second husband right after you both left college. you see that's the fraud part that's the part that's hard to figure out soon as you graduate you separate but you don't divorce him. instead as soon as you separate a month or two later you get read faith married. to your first husband and why were you both living in the same house your two kids your first husband you and your second husband for four years I mean I'm a an open minded guy but Gee that seems that seems even wrong to do just to the kids let alone your first husband. there's new evidence that came out today on her Twitter feed I'll give it to you in one minute. she's fifty three and she's a long time listener to the program she's health and fitness not and she always claim that the daily pain she felt for years was inner joins it wasn't a keeper from working out and they didn't she's about a faithful going to gym on week days she is going to church on Sundays and me going to the refrigerator every day. but June has stood Mets the difference in her life because she was having pain but she powered through it but she didn't want to power through it the difference in our life since she started taking relief factor a just a few months ago she says is profound she realizes now that while she was faithful about working out even through the pain pain had stolen all of the joy out of her workouts but not anymore she's back to enjoying I don't know June I wish you could convince me somehow or another hit but ties me that. working out is fun I hated so much relief factor is a great way to reduce the inflammation that causes pain and it works for seventy percent of those.

N. refugee camp and having the opportunity to come here to the United States of America. and you come under a false name with another family this is this is well documented that this is happening all over Somalia it's why we had to stop so many people coming in from Somalia because. a lot a good portion of people coming in are not who they say they were. now. this allegation should be really easy to disprove. as if it's a nasty rumor I want to help you squash it I was not a birther I didn't buy into the birth certificate thing. so I want to stand for the truth. but if it's untrue why did you delete all of the social media post that back up the allegation that you married your brother and I'm not saying you married your brother for love you were spiritually married to your first husband in two thousand two and you had two kids and I claim that you love them and even during your second marriage with your brother I contend that you actually loved him and were actually living with your first husband your brother too but I think you were sleeping with your first husband because you had a faith marriage to him then you have a faith divorce in two thousand eight and a month later you had a legal Christian marriage. to your brother L. me. why why the Christian marriage you are clearly a devout Muslim why would you get married legally to a Christian man when you didn't support to the legal marriage thing with your first husband you believe that sharia law is greater than all other laws and so you didn't marry your first husband legally you just had a faith marriage why have a legal marriage and a Christian marriage to your next husband who really strongly appears to be your brother and then why did that happen right before you and your new husband A. K. A. your brother went to college at the same university North Dakota state university and why did you get a divorce I'm sorry why did you get a separation from your brother your second husband right after you both laughed college. easy that's the fraud part that's the part that's hard to figure out soon as you graduate you separate but you don't divorce him. instead as soon as you separate a month or two later you get read faith married. to your first husband and why were you both living in the same house your two kids your first husband you and your second husband for four years I mean I'm a an open minded guy but Gee that seems that seems even wrong to do just to the kids let alone your first husband. there's new evidence that came out today on her Twitter feed I'll give it to you in one minute..

"The online master's program in the next one will be nursing PHD's and masters, but this is getting more talent to what we need in some of those a lot of those that are outside the state, but we're getting those the in the state in any event, we have more professors teaching more subjects that you. Indeed. Because a significant part of that is being funded by our online program. So is overall online education, then you're gonna you're saying we'll end up with more people with graduates more people with options on what to do. How does that translate to the workforce needs a huge impact on the workforce needs because we have in this country? Thirty over thirty million people, but thirty to forty percent of the state of North Dakota has some college, but not a full college. We need more college graduates in the world about and let's people that are already in their career having completed their college maybe need to add a masters to really have a big impact for their career and for their region. They can do that from wherever they are whether they're in what I Wilson Dickinson or any place online with a wide range of we have over one hundred degrees that we offer online that gives a lot of opportunities for people crossing state is it fair for people to be critical of higher education. Let's just say here in North Dakota. U n d you know, obviously could make the same case nationally. But I I want you to think about your institution university, North Dakota. Is it fair to be critical to say, you know, it's not it's not kept up with workforce needs of America. Or other words to me the other day, tell me why would you go to college? Why would you go get? Why would you go get a degree when you can you can be an electrician in two years out there making really? Really good money. What would you say? I would say that. If you look at the forecast, they're saying nearly all of the jobs created the next decade in the world of automation is going to require a college degree. We have a huge increase in demand for college graduates nationwide. The number of college students going in pursuing a bachelor's degree is declining. That's why you're having this huge differentiation of compensation between college graduates, and those that don't have a college graduates. If you want to narrow that we need to better meet the demand for college graduates, the reason that the for profits got ahead because a nonprofit in public, universities aren't necessarily always the quickest to respond. But now the universities like university of North Dakota responding you're seeing the for profits declining because they got ahead to meet a demand that wasn't being met. We're now meeting demand along with Arizona state, and Purdue and Penn State, those who view as our competitors online. We have a just a short time left, but I do want to touch on a couple of things. That we haven't got to one of them is this list of the top twenty five most innovative universities. What what the criteria for that list? Well, the criteria is your voted on by other presidents and Provosts the nation into a list with MIT and Harvard and Stanford and Caltech and all these premier universities is a huge honor for North Dakota. And it's an example of what the innovative stuff we're doing to improve student success to expand our research to increase their impact on the state to renew our campus with untraditional ways public private partnerships. But I mean, this is this is an example of you know, I mean. Top twenty five innovative university in the nation. And when you look at the rest of the list, you're finding Harvard and Stanford and MIT were the were the only one on the list, north west of Chicago. So if you take a line from Chicago to Stanford and up that whole corner of the nation. There's only one university on that list. University of North Dakota, not the gophers knocked the badger and my favorite status number nine most military friendly school. That's a good one who are pro-military. Thanks for the conversation. Appreciate your time. I think it was I learned a ton. I really did you know been a longtime fan of university of North Dakota. But to be able to hear some of the things that you just don't hear about. I think it's important that we appreciate it. And we'll we'll do this again. How about that, Debbie? Great could've thought you stop take a break. Come back with Senator. Kevin kramer. Talkradio townhall continues to agriculture NFL are one. How do we know we ask farmers including Paul Thomas? Paul talk a little bit about the value. You derive from ethanol is what drives the value of me being able to track. My corn and extra fifty sixty miles NFL plans and get a little higher price for it. But then in turn also the DVD's that come out of that ethanol plants also go to the feedlots provide a high protein source of feed for their cattle. That's mixed with a corn ethanol itself, you know, ended up in all our local pumps reduces the price we pay for what happens if ethanol is no more. How would that affect you removing ethanol in removing the corn and our diversified systems? Will just put more pressure on all the other crops are girl by increasing and having a negative effect on prices on every single crop. You know, it's not just going to lower the price of corn in all reality. It's going to lower the prices of every single commodity we grow agriculture and ethanol or one just as foreigners. Find out more at n D ethanol dot org. And now time for this week's edition of ranching issues. Here's Leo Roberts. Welcome.

Whatever happened to hard work, whatever happened actually doing things we've been hacking at this year's we've been, I've been hacking to the face of hockey show for years, and people just go viral and people love them. They have no substance. They're just, no, you have a very good point there. Tired of this shit, man, very good point there. Man, I gotta work for. It's a great job. I rather be doing right time. Oh God. I can't be a pain team. Why? Because because I opened my rope up in wiggle, my Adam like is the reason that you should get on the side of a car. "I remember last year when I was at my old trainer, I was just lifting really heavy and doom back squats and and all that stuff. And I came into camp. Unit. I was probably like one ninety five, five, eleven just look great on the owner. Cake couldn't move, but this year it's just a lot of lighter lifting and mobility stuff, and lot of band work all that all that stuff. So I loved it so far. It's been awesome really made the switch. I keep hearing about these Andy O'Brien, warm-ups, they lost the border or just hit mobility than you're doing a lot of sprinting and directional stuff. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I mean, bringing out a little foot injury to start the year, but the the off season you're here. So me and lucrative and all these dynamic warm-ups and we come back into the gym and just be rinsed sweat and all I smoke starting an hour and a half and finish warmup. So yeah, it's it's good though. I guess you're going how you want to take care of the Baud. So I in eighty O'Brien is Sidney Crosby's trainer for those who are listening and don't know. That's kind of how I wouldn't see how he got his name, but how he became a famous hawkish rain or now everyone takes him. Siri very seriously, of course, because SIDS off ice is is insane. Have you guy. Ever had the chance to train with them when I was with them in pit, he was always in the gym after games after practices, you could see that he really took his training and his body serious. And I think that's why he's one of the best players in the world. And I think when he's been working with Andy and they see what kind of work that he's done, I think it's word of mouth and and he's got such a great reputation now that Luke Bryan just started last couple years. You started this year and I've heard nothing but good things about it. Yeah, McKinnon did it. So we kind of said, you should try this and it's kind of funny it'll be in the gym, and you'll have like bands wrapped around your head for your posher and around your arms and people looking at you, like, what's this guy doing over here? He plays in that it this way you gotta do to make that it's funny. Well, that's right. Because Andy usually gives you the program and then you guys go do on your own, or are you doing this type of stuff like a regular gym, or is it mostly athletes in new dim? It's a little bit of a, it's a mix. I mean, you got mostly off as, but there's a couple of randoms that are in there. Some of the older people, and it's a couple people soccer moms. Excellent. Excellent. I haven't been pretty good setup though. You got the indoor turf and all of a sudden it's awesome. It's, I mean, you kind of like, oh, you're at a public gym. It's whatever that that can't be good, but it's been awesome so far. But it's it's funny, like watching some of the older guys come over saying, what the hell are you guys do like you can't tell me to make this season if I could go back. I wish I would've known about all this conventional stuff. Is that a lifting heavy because my body fell apart because of it ties I wanted Grenell. He's our college hockey experts and ask you a few questions come up. You weren't there long, but what was it like playing home games, the Ralph. I mean, place has been. It is right. And that's North Dakota, correct? Yeah. North Dakota's at university North Dakota's only fair year, but it's unbelievable. Like I mean, it's hard even explain. It's. I can say it's like an NHL game, but it's not because it's more electric. Like you got the fans in the student section doing all these chants job. Remember being on the bench, and I look into the student section sometimes whatever an internet TV time or whatever and. See students can carry it out of the race by security and like pasta, and people are puking and it's just electric. And he's obviously never been to a clone rockets..

If it was anything special you wanted, you had to do it. It wasn't like me that I did it for passion. You did it because you had to. Did you then find the passionate? Did you enjoy going door to door? Did you enjoy what. You like about it? I think it was the challenge. You know, oftentimes when you're going to do something, I think the world is set up to tell you all the reasons why won't work out. Not that they're against you, but if you say, hey. All right. This book you're gonna. Everybody is hard to get public exists. Is that I mean, oh, cool. I'm glad you're doing it, but they've just given you a hundred reasons why you should. And I think just kind of overcoming that challenge is always been exciting. You know, like. Room told me I can't do something that would fire you up instinctively, that's who you are. Yeah, I think there's a little bit, you know, I think having a being skinny, red air, I think you're always kind of looked at his underdog was big verse for the basketball team or baseball team. I think always a kind of trying to find my spot. It seemed like that was kind of an easier direction ago. You know, when I is to personal, ask you if you were dating earlier or if this was an issue, what's is it too personal to ask you whether you a game as a teenager or if that was an issue to unknown gated on it off, you know, cutting out a a somewhat of a long term relationship in high school ills his lout like most do post high school, so. Okay. So that wasn't for me. That was a big insecurity. I couldn't do it inside said better, really succeeded business or something because otherwise I'm going to be nobody. No one's gonna like me. All right. So that wasn't for you. And then you ended up getting a job including after you graduated from university North Dakota. You. For cellular one. Is that right? As sales rep? Yeah. The graduated from lineup, state university and then got a job is during the cellular boom. And selling phones before they even head towers. Have we had goals, but anyway, so did that this is ABC in the early nineties right? Early bind if they had towers didn't in the ninety? S? Didn't they have those flip phones? We'll all yeah, they did bag phones in the Motorola flip, and but when they were kind of setting up the towers, you'd go into the market beforehand and pre pre-sales you'd be selling people on before they even at tower. Like trust us, this will work soon. Got it really under bucks of my thirty minutes. How would you convince somebody to by phone that didn't work right away? I think you're early adopter that it was coming. You know, they used to say the difference between salary salesperson a used car salesman was at the cellular of the used car person knows they're lying with us. We are always pointing out. Yeah, I think he got coverage year. This lake in the middle of nowhere of says it on the map, but it's kinda read their imagined. Also back then then if somebody even had a phone in their car, even if they didn't use it was kind of impressive for the person sitting in their car for business meeting or sales meeting or something to just see. This is a guy who's who's going places. He's too busy to get off and get an article. Okay. So you are doing that and then you saw it. This whole cell thing was picking up and again is an entrepreneur inveterate entrepreneur. I think that's the word you went out and started a little side business. What was the side business? It was selling exemplary. So western wireless, which was accompanied own a cellular one, the parent company, which also ultimately fed back aids. Indeed, the day they didn't really have any excess routes. You had the Motorola flip phone brick phone in the bag phone and they didn't really have car and Anna's, it really have of, you know, too many car chargers in all of the, you know, the billion dollar industry this bell now cell phones..
