Wow. Yeah, that was that was very cool. And there was a lot of good stuff this weekend to towards the end of the Olympics if you hadn't watched much during the two weeks The the U. S. Basketball gold medals in the men's and women's, uh, US volleyball. Um, there were Just an awful lot that I think really was inspiring. And if you had a chance to watch, and now the Paralympics are coming up, they get started as well. There's gonna be a lot of coverage of that. But Yeah, I think sometimes. I guess this was unusual, Bob because of the circumstances surrounding these Olympics, we didn't know if they're really going to happen or not, And and they pulled it off. Yeah, yeah, a lot of lot of emotion and Paris in four years, but China with the Winter Games in, like, six months. How are they going to how are they gonna do that in China? Now with with the Covid? We've been, uh, keeping you up to date on that horrific, heartbreaking police shooting over the weekend, and WGN's Glenn Marshall has been at the University of Chicago Medical Center, Glenn any updates on on that officer this morning. Yeah. Good morning. No new updates. We still know that the officer is in critical condition after being shot three times His identification has not been released just yet. We know his partner was Officer l, a friend. She was a 29 year old, who was shot in the face Saturday night after a traffic stop and West Englewood neighborhood, having around 63rd in south Bill around nine p.m.. She was shot in the face. Our partner was in critical condition. He was shot in the back shoulder and I, um they were both taken to University Chicago Hospital. He's still in critical condition. Is responsive in the situation innovative, but he's responsive. Uh, one of the suspects was wounded. During that shootout. He was taken to Christ Hospital in stable condition. All three are in custody right now. Charges are pending. The superintendent did tell us that there was a body camera video that called most of the traffic stop in the shooting. Um, we may hear from the superintendent later on this morning. We're still waiting to see if he's going to have his weekly press conference study does every Monday, Uh, that's usually talking about Chicago violence. There was a violent weekend again. Uh, Besides these two officers, I was shocked. There was over. I don't know the exact number right now, but there were a lot of shooting. So it was a crazy weekend here in Chicago. Um Right now.
