How Virgil Abloh Is Lifting Up Fashions Next Generation Of Creatives

"It's good to see you in Snow choke chicago. Likewise tim could see as well. So i have been immersed in imaginary tv the last day. And it's interesting. We were just talking a little while ago that The difference set this year is made to everybody living under the shroud of a pandemic and imaginary. Tv would not have happened with that this last year. Would it now not not in the slightest. And i think what marks the time is obviously like a pandemic has run through our previously existing life right and in response to that i as a participant in the fashion industry wanted to use the time to sort of be thoughtful but also sort of give an optimistic sort of trajectory to these like very uncertain times. And so you know. Fashion shows are a mainstay important. Part of our artistry in the industry itself and so i took a step back and thought like what's the right construct to show off white developments. I hadn't shown in a year basically so all the collections that i had been working on all the the sort of like introspective. Nece about what off-white means. Why's it important. Why does it have to exist. I could pour into a construct not pour into a seven minute fashion show. You've very deliberately. I mean the notion of of creating a new tv network in a way and then giving people a menu so they can choose what they want to watch is. It's one of those ideas that seems so simple leads. You wonder why nobody else it but on the other hand it's one of those ideas it so simple. Nobody ever thinks about it but it feels to me very much like it. It's very responsive to the moment that in with imaginary tv as you launch off white collection which is the subtext so also white is present. You celebrate solitude in in various various films that you that you present. It's all about people doing things on their own doing creative and a beautiful things. Which i found because i'm in a state of mind right now. My little bit depressed by by the situation. Now it has kind of got to me. I find that very inspiring and reassuring and i wondered if that was deliberate that you have you have all these people doing beautiful sultry thing. Yeah now definitely that stems from reading the room right like it stems from being at one with the solitude myself you know i was like i was racking up the global travel miles every meeting. I would just agree to and then figuring out how to be there. You know work. A holic is definitely a in my sort of category of of like operation. But you know like inputting ideas into culture into the world you have to read the room and understand the ecosystem that we're all living in right now and you know solitude is something that you can run away from. It's something that you can gloss over you know we're in social media era right so you can post things or you can move at the speed of instagram. Which is very fast. But instead i thought like this is the time to sort of turn the page right you know and also known for that like that. Vibrant millennial spirit. That's running consuming and moving fast and i decided to turn the page for off white to say slow content meaningful content might not sound bite editing. Just to sort of be in the site geist is okay because i say it's okay instead of adopting to the pace that the world is existing. It's like someone has to turn the page and so imaginary. Tv is slow. It doesn't fit on instagram. In a way. It's a as you know i could. I like have a run on sentence problem but basically all the ideas and the inquisition and the thoughtfulness that goes into off white is is better suited for a platform where those that are interested can sort of just research and spend time with content and feeling like i have to get in and get out. Because that's the that's the metric. That engagement says is the

Beware The 6 Month Forecast In Uncertain Times

"The idea of a business forecast and particularly cash flow forecast is something. I've spoken to you about a few times on the show. And i do believe that they are super-critical document for you to run your business survive particularly if you're a nice small business but the other thing you need to be aware of. Is that in uncertain. Times likely out right now a cashflow could actually ended up getting into trouble. If you let it lull you into a false sense of security because we've just been in the process now of doing a six month cash flow and it's very easy of course not knowing what's coming up to just take your last month's revenues and you'll last month cash in and out and basically just extrapolate that over the next six months because you don't really know what the next six months hold but the problem with doing that is that if you've been through peak period like we just have over the christmas holiday period and if you extrapolate that then come march or april you might be out of money because you've anticipated much more cash coming in the mortar. Have actually gone so. It's just important that depending on your business and depending on what your timelines off your cashing in your cash out that you make sure that yes you do a cash flow statement but you don let it lulled into a false sense of security any cash flow statement of course must be reviewed every month and opinion your business. Maybe you wanted to a twelve month cash flow. That's reviewed every month. But if you may be sought borrowings for example you might need to do a three zero four year cash flow. Which again is just it's crazy guesswork. At a time like right now we just don't know but of course any investor or any. Linda were want to see that. There's a chance for you to pay that money back. So they might ask for a three year or five year cash flow so cashflows super important. Just beware with all of your forecasting work especially cashflow stuff that you very very wary. You don't get lulled into that false sense of security when you're doing a six month forecast or twelve month for that matter during these times of uncertainty likely going through right now

2021 Global Marketing Trends with Deloitte's Ashley Reichheld

"Let's let's talk business. We want to talk a little bit about this report. That deloitte has released the twenty twenty one global marketing trends report. What drove the report in went into it. Well this is our second annual report. But this one was really characterized by the challenges of twenty twenty and that level of uncertainty that we're seeing has really impacted all of us in some way myself my mom of three old trends and well. I thought i was a master at balancing working kids. I've learned a whole new set of work from home. Sales gotta really speedy mute. Button trigger finger pilot fisher price toys under my desk that bear testimony and this year. We really use the study to kind of help explorer and break down some of that uncertainty. We use subject matter expertise. We voices smithfield and two overarching surveys. From consumers up twenty five hundred and executives up just about four hundred of them to help break down that uncertainty in the report a believe it's unified seven trends overall and you go In detail on each of them. But can you tell me kinda just at a high level. Were the the major trends seven themselves are purpose agility human experience trust participation fusion and talent and i think in general agility trust talent participation are fairly straightforward largely those companies without. Do you trust them to do with the say they're gonna do. They have the talent to do it. Do they nibble participation with their stakeholders in the customers. The ones i usually get questions about not understanding are the other three so purpose and that's a company that knows what they exist and therefore can make choices a little bit more rapidly. That sense of purpose helps them particularly in times of uncertainty. Actually because they can they can make tough decisions right away. The second human experience and i often get asked. Hey so white you just call that. What is call it. A spur ends called employee experience. I'm sure we'll talk about this. But the reason we call it human experiences because you don't wake up as customer employees. You wake up as a human being. And if we want to elevate experience we have to understand you as a human and then fusion of course which is that art of bringing together new business partnerships early in the report. You identify this drop in confidence across the c. suite. And just curious. What do you feel drove that drop and this is the second time i've seen this question i guess from deloitte is working with the loye. The cmo team within delay and the cmo club on some prior research. We looked at confidence. Drop or confidence levels. I should say of cmo's in general and while this most recent snapshot shows the drop in confidence. I'm kind of pleased that cmo's aren't last on the list now. A small bright spot in the foreseeable ceelo's but tell us a little bit about this dropping confidence. Well at the start of our chat. I talked about this notion of uncertainty that feeling and basically the research suggests that c. suites are humans to and no exception to that rule so on a percentage basis. Cmos aren't last but they are second to last Within a percentage point of and you actually see the biggest declines with. Cio's an nco's. And i think really what you're seeing is that lots of executives have gone into survival mode and you see them by the way prioritizing things like improved efficiency and productivity over more human centric initiatives in that that instinct is is very common but unfortunately it does run counter to some consumer expectations. When we did this research. We learned that as times. Get tougher consumers. Expect more connection. Not less said consumers are really looking for companies to step up and you have c. suite executives who are uncertain and lacking confidence today. And not really sure the world is heading and it's making it very difficult environment. Operate them in these uncertain times to us over over used phrase currently but one of the other two data points stuck out. I think is a sign of the times potentially i'm gonna stay kotei stats and then we can discuss what we think they mean but fifty eight percent of respondents could recall at least one brand that quickly pivoted to better respond to their needs and eighty two percent said this led to them doing more business with that brand. Seems that these factors kind of together talk about one the agility that you've you mentioned before is one of the trends to this human experience component like are we actually delivering what people really want and value and purpose. I think alignment potentially of those two things like what's going on in the world and what do people really need am i. Do you think. I'm interpreting that right just based on the data and what the trends that you're seeing i do although. I think i'd argue that. The each of the trends has an impact there. If you think about an organization's ability to co create with people so fusion for example if your co creating with people rapidly you're able to respond to create address needs more rapidly if you're encouraging participation from your customers than your doing a good job or hopefully a better job at least of hearing what it is. They need to be able to adopt if customers trust. You more likely to tell you what they need a believe you when it comes out and then of course talent is critical. All these things without talent. You can't do any of them

Google's Amy Adams Harding on why digital newsrooms should 'act like an e-commerce player'

"Welcoming hike aliens great to hear lessons Yeah so maybe. Let's get started by going through some of the publishers that you work with are they mainly like news focus or do they really just kind of run the gamut. We are mainly focused on news. Kaley but as as you might imagine. News has taken on broad connotation as of late so We focus a lot on local news so working with publishers like lee enterprises or village media up in canada. All the way up through You know the great lady new york times. We work with newscorp the some of their publications so really does run the gamut. Yeah and it sounds like it really runs the gamut to with the new of maybe people on staff and like the size of the publications themselves it can be one or two people and it can be hundreds and it really does depend on the type of news publication that they're covering we also work with broadcasters for example and some longer form news content like business insider or some of the magazine publishers. That are more news focused. okay awesome. yeah so I imagine that at the beginning of twenty twenty the concerns that your publishers. That you work with I'm not sure if you call them clients or partners partners. Yeah i imagine that the concerns that some of your partners had at the beginning of the year are probably very different from the ones that Came into the picture and say march or april But can you talk about Maybe what some of those focuses were at the beginning of the year. That might not be as top of mind now in where some of the New focuses began coming into the mix. Yeah i'd say that it's it's not that the the focus of these publishers has shifted one hundred and eighty degrees but it has sharpened so for example One thing that a year ago we were working with many local news. Publishers are in a more nascent. Forum would be there reader revenue program. I mean we redirect revenue. We we all know that the new york times has made a tremendous success out of their subscription business. But this didn't always filter down to your much smaller local news players but ask the pandemic emerged in as we saw a large and quick drop in ad revenue local news. Publishers called us up and said wait a second. Everything that you've been telling us about forming our reader direct monetization strategy. The time is now. We need to lean on our readers to be able to support ourselves through these uncertain times with the pandemic so that i would say that it has sharpened and accelerated that focus for our local news players in particular. Okay yeah that makes a lot of sense and i know for some of the larger publishers. That myself in my teammates have been covering over the past few months A lot of them decided to remove the paywall from virus related content But that ended up being a pretty significant driver of new subscriptions. I would say You know it was kind of interesting balance of lowering the paywall on that content. Got people more familiar with the brand. Made them wanted to like to support the journalism. More Is that the same thing that happened with some of these smaller. Publishers or more local news based publishers. Did they do that same tactic. Or what were some of the strategies that they took on well whether they employed whether they even had a paywall to begin with Or not the top of the funnel was being filled by this increase in demand for news especially around corona virus and we had several large events globally and in this country so it wasn't just corona virus with that was kicked things off in the beginning of twenty twenty and so our news publishers large and small found that they needed to take advantage of this opportunity to create loyalty amongst their casual readers. And that's something that my team actually focuses on quite a bit That idea of user engagement funnel so capitalizing on the opportunity of what These very important and intense news stories introduced in the facts. We we've been working with a publisher in the philippines called wrap ler and they are one of the largest digital only on news publications. They are and they had concurrently both corona virus reporting as well as their local election and might team worked with them to capitalize on. How do you. How do you take these new eyeballs if you wanna think about it that way and introduce them to the importance of your product and drive loyalty because he can drive a user down that user engagement funnel you can Create loyalty loyalty is the largest predictor of reader direct revenue acquisition. So we worked with them and it was highly successful and they were able to create marge increases in both the readership and their revenue because they were on top of their Of the funnel and driving readers down the funnel

Attachment Styles, Overcoming Anxiety And How to Feel More Secure

"Joining us. Today is dr jeannette giulio. a clinical psychologist. Ceo and founder of path will clinic in toronto and a friend of mine. Nice to see you from afar. Likewise dr jess. How're you doing. I'm hanging in there. how about you same. You know when one day at a time. We're you know we're in toronto. So we are now in lockdown again. the next twenty seven days. But who's counting. You know so taking it one day at a time. So are you. Seeing patients. Virtually as well. Yes in person as well so mental health. At least where i practice ontario has been deemed an essential service which means i can see clients in person and some people. Just prefer that What i am primarily seeing clients virtually which is nice who a lot of clients now as you know are working from home So that doesn't get in the way of them. Doing therapy can talk to them from anyhow anywhere now so i probably seeing about seventy percent or so of my clients. Virtually in about thirty in person. Okay and are you seeing anything pop up or any themes since the onset of covid. Yes for sure So anxiety is say the number one presentation that i'm seeing and that's true where people maybe are experiencing anxiety pre pandemic and now is just been exacerbated but i'm also seeing a lot of new anxiety and people who don't have any history of it are now quite fearful and anxious not necessarily you know about the virus itself or contracting there some of that really. The anxiety relates more to Just the unknown right in the uncertainty of this all and what this means for them right personally professionally financially. Uncertainty is a hard thing for people to deal with right and we've never been a more uncertain time as of now so this is triggering a lot of anxiety and what i'm seeing now because we're now in months nine ish kind of this pandemic I'm now starting to see depression. That's now have emanated right from the consequences of lock downs in the various restrictions. That we've been under So you know we were talking earlier on. It's been a busy time are not just for me for all of my colleagues in mental health. I've never seen anything like this in my career. Certainly i've never been this busy so a lot of people are having a hard time with everything that's happening. Yeah that makes sense an icon ask. Are you seeing a lot of anger or rage attached to that anxiety. Because i'm noticing with me that i'm just snappier than ever I wouldn't i wouldn't call it rage necessarily but i just like every little thing irritates me when it didn't use to and one thing that i had kind of a discovery this week doc i i was thinking i was thinking about kind of my frustration and my anxiety. I'm i'm a very low anxiety person. Normally and i actually love stress and i really enjoy risk. And that's part of why i've kind of designed maybe subconsciously or maybe purposely. My work the way. I have right flying all the time you know. Maybe you missed the flight. Maybe you make it in time. Maybe you don't. Those are the types of things that many people find distressful. But i actually take comfort in it and i realized just last week that even though i'm still doing my work in many ways i've i've lost my job because my job really entailed travel every traveling every week and working with groups in person and i'm lucky that i'm still getting to do some work online but there is a real sense of loss to the lifestyle that i was accustomed to living that again. I know most people wouldn't wanna live that lifestyle right. Sometimes people say oh. Can you pack in your bag. And i'm like you would not want to do what i'm doing. No i know it's sort of his view. You're a little bit like me. You like to bounce around. So so i made it all about me. Let's let's talk about. Let's talk about frustration and anger. Are you seeing a lot of that. Yeah well frustration you know slash anger irritability right those are all or can be manifestations of both anxiety and depression and you know in a in a case such as yourself where you were really you designed your professional personal but also professional lifestyle to the degree that you wanted it right. You had agency and ownership of that and what this pandemic has done is essentially taken that away right and for people who are very independent. Are you know. Yeah are independent spirits. This pandemic has been hard to deal with because it's made them feel out of control right. Something was taken away from them rather quickly and there's this feeling that they can't really do much about it and that for sure can trigger erna ability anger in many people right but especially people with that very sort of self sufficient independent spirit.

Resilient Leadership in Anxious and Uncertain Times

"Welcome to extraordinary women radio Christine. I am so excited to have you join me today. I know this is going to be so much fun. You and I are long long time Pals and I am just thrilled to have you hear me to thank you for having me. Yeah, and you've got so many interesting stories. I know you're going to be sharing with us today. We we've talked a little bit about this direction that we're going to go in and and I know that you were sitting in meditation this week actually thinking about you know, what is it that wants the flow through you and this week on this conversation and I love first of all you were doing that because that's there's so much Beauty and stopping & pausing and listening to that inner wisdom that's there for us to find jobs then being able to hear Hear that message that that bubbles up and I know you and I have had many many conversations about this and what I know it came up for you was accepting when it's time to Pivot off and I love this first of all, and it's it's funny because any of my listeners are going to go wait a minute you've been talking about it's not about the pivot and sometimes it's not about a pivot in this crazy or sometimes. We really have to stand in our truths and and who we are and just show up and serve our our people and at the same time there's definitely times and places. Where would we need to Pivot? And I know that's a theme that has been showing up for you for multiple years in different ways. You've been very courageous and brave and how you should up in your pivot should tell us a little bit. Why you think that's the topic that came it came up for you on this. Sometimes we don't know what's going to come up right part of it makes no true. Right right opening to The Unknown. So this definitely wasn't coming from you know, this song theoretical analytical part of my brain now, I will say I may have been influenced because I've been watching the NBA finals and you know, there's there's a pendant in basketball who knows that that had anything to do with the it's okay. So I'm going to add you on that because guess what I used to play basketball in high school and we had the best coach we're off we had he taught us how to Pivot and this really strong space where we when we pivot we pivot with our body and we'd hold the ball in front of us and we'd pivot which keeps you safe from them, you know, having a foul or anything like that. There's such strength in that so I'm just going to let that keep moving off of that that theme you know, and as you know in basketball, you can't pivot all the time off. Like to your point there's a time in the game when you strategically go up on you know, you always leave one foot on the ground right when you pivot right? You're not home, right? Very good. You think about like you leave that one foot and then you literally can pivot 360 degrees with a ball and I say there is wisdom in knowing when to let go off all and win to let come what needs to come into your life. And so for some reason that seems to be the overriding theme that came through Thursday. So tell us some of your I know you've got multiple stories of pivoting. Where do you want to start share a little share a little share a bit about you and just your journey that's gotten you to this point. I know you've built this amazing incredible company and I'm always so proud of the work that you know, you are doing in the world. I just go look at the work you're doing and I'm very exciting. For you, but you have a you have some some big pivots you've made. Very much. So and I was thinking all the way back to 1994. So somebody do the math. You'll figure out that that was a long time ago. And at that point I was living in San Francisco that place of my dreams. I had the dream job working in Corporate America and knowing that this was I thought this is it off. This is where I'm going to be and a pivot came and that pivot brought me to Denver where I transitioned from my corporate career, which was advertising sales in the high tech magazine publishing industry. I pivoted to being a stay-at-home mom and I would put those in quote stay at home because I don't know any mom who stays at home and I certainly didn't wage and for a number of years. I took a detour from my professional career to raise three children by kept one foot in the professional world all the time whether it was dead, Marketing Consulting sales, I even became a book publishing coach at at some time

Tyler Jordan On How To Advertise In A Down Market

"Today's guest teacher Tyler Jordan is the founder of Jordan digital marketing and he's been helping entrepreneurs get out there for years. His Digital Marketing Agency is focused on getting people, new clients, new leads through Google ads, facebook ads, Lincoln, facebook Instagram, you name it. This is why I'm so excited to have him here today as a guest teacher because we're GONNA get some. Free Consulting. This is a really good lesson on the importance of paid advertising right now in growing your business. Even if you have a small budget that small budget can go a long way right now and you should not miss this opportunity tyler Jordan's GonNa, teach you pass it onto him. Now, we'll be back with my takeaways to wrap up the episode, but for now, takeaway? Tyler Everyone, this is tyler. Over Jordan digital marketing. We've put together a six point plan for how to run paid acquisition marketing. Even in the midst of pandemic, the world has profoundly changed over the last two months. People are staying home at a drastically higher rate even as things start to open up even with restrictions being lifted fewer people are going to go out pure people are going to restaurants a lot fewer people are going to be commuting twitter square are two of the biggest companies to announce new work from home policies that. Allow people to work from home indefinitely in a recent Gallup poll more than fifty percent of Americans said they'd like to continue to work from home even after the restrictions are lifted, that means fewer people commuting, which means fewer people listening to radio listening to streaming services, seeing billboards or out of home media. So outdoor marketing opportunities have all but dried up, but it also means that there's a ton more people sitting in their houses searching and scrolling all day long in front of their computers. This leaves a huge opportunity for those who. Are Willing to take it. We've seen massive pullbacks and marking spin, but the people who have stayed the course with their digital spend are seeing major benefits. We've put together a six point plan to explain how you can restart or improve on your current paid marketing strategies. The first point businesses down right now, but it's not going to be gone forever this also down for everyone a lot of people have pulled spin really dramatically if you have the money to continue advertising, this is the time for you to take over your space. Even if your product is dependent on people being out and about you can spend this time to position yourself for the rebound when business comes back those who spend the time and money to stay in front of people right now will continue to be in their consideration set those who poll their marketing will be lost and forgotten, and right now CPM's CPC's are at all time lows in March. The average see pm in the United States fellow three dollars for the first time in two years and the lowest amount globally ever they've increased. About four dollars since then but that's still thirty percent cheaper than what they were towards the end of February. The second point think about the channels you running billboard. Or dead print is struggling in has been struggling for a while TV is hot right now because everybody's took it home and digital is is pure fire right now even as things open up their millions of more people staying home and scrolling their timelines searching from their phones than normal, we're getting finally to see the true capability of the Internet during his time, which is weirdly exciting. NETFLIX's who lives social feeds and Youtube are quickly becoming the go-to entertainment sources for the vast majority of America. If your business typically relies on out of home media or events, look into Ott, youtube bands, and think about runs video on facebook. The third point we'd like to make is think about Tom don't forget the situation that people are facing right now but also try not to be overly cliche. The number of companies that are talking about navigating these uncertain times ridden risen by an astronomical amount you need to care and be mindful of the situation, but don't default to being too scared to have a real message. Make sure you're still telling people who you are and what you do if you can share the story of how your business is helping in the. Current situation or how the company is making changes to ensure that things remain safe when life goes back to normal the goal here is to remain top of mind for your ideal customer segment because if you don't someone else will we have an education based client advertising Kobe coming resources guide as a way to fill the top of the funnel for when their program starts. Gets back to normal. They're gonNA have thousands of new leads in their crm that they can go and attack right away they in cost relieves right now dropped to less than half of their normal rate, and while they're not converting any users right now, they're perfectly set up for the rebound. The fourth point, the noise has been cleared out. CPM's are lower than ever, but that's because no one else has advertising. So that means you have an opportunity to own the conversation personally I've only seen masterclass ads on youtube for like the last two months and I, actually finally just signed up to learn how to cook Mexican food. David able to own the airwaves because so many people have been scared and pulled out of the market. We've seen this sort of result, a lot of times from companies that we work with two. We've seen one of our fintech clients had a sixty five percent increase in conversions with only a thirty, five percent increase in spend on their top competitor campaigns during lockdown their competition pulled back and they stayed strong and stay true to their paid strategy, and they're reaping the benefits for another client of ours has been able to see a sixty one point five percent jump in numbering conversions even after social distancing quarantining started to happen, they've only increased spend about forty six percent. Outside jump in nombre and conversions, versus the spend they put forward simply because there's fewer people in the space another client was able to see a sixty one percents jump in non brand conversions after stay home orders and social distancing. They've only put together a forty five percent increase in spencer seeing outside his jump in overall conversions. The benefit here is that the audience that you're getting in front of right now is one that has more time on his hand and his testing out more tools during their downtime. So people who are getting in front of them are having an opportunity to get leads that maybe wouldn't be so to jump on a demo or get on a call with you. But if you're able to continue to spend that money and own your niche, you have a really unique opportunity to get in front of more of the right people and it might not pay off right now but it will pay off when business starts to get back to normal. And this brings us to our fifth point people are shopping around dramatically more people have more time on their hands. Money needs a stretch further. So people are taking the time to test out multiple different tools whereas they used to just focus in on one and do the easiest thing we're seeing a lot of people sign up for leads, download content and request demos in the SAS face embedded these space, and it's our job to go capture that interest. We're also seeing a lot of people buying a lot more on e commerce sites because they're stuck at home and they need fix their shopping addiction anyway. So we're seeing a lot of huge increases in ECON sector as well. If you're running an ECOMMERCE site, the best place for you to go and find that traffic and convert those users is GonNa be through digital through search social and display. So make sure that you're getting out there in front of people with the right message and using right audience the sixth and. Final point is one that we harp on regularly all of our audits and that's you need to speak to people at different stages of the funnel. Differently this is important at all times the year but especially right now, make sure that you're using the right tone to introduce yourself to new customers be a little bit more mindful of the situation those interactions but once you've introduced yourself, make sure that you let them know why you're different and why they should go with you over the other companies are shopping around with. Once they become accustomed to make sure that you asked her promote you to their friends. One of the big ways that people find business normally is they ask their friends recommendations. So if you can facilitate that with paid marketing that'll put you in a position right now with all your new customers that you bring in today to really allow that to snowball on top of itself. Once the economy starts and things start to get back to normal.

Refocus Your Mind

"We are exploring the theme of surviving uncertainty. All Week long you discovered. A different meditation technique that can help you manage these uncertain times we're experiencing. And I'm going to guide you today. Layering those techniques together into a meditation. I like to layer meditation techniques when I meditate. It is the best way to transition from whatever you were doing before you sat down to meditate. To a place of stillness and peace. It's pretty hard to just sit down and. Instantly, be focused and ready to meditate. There's a process where you like go above all. That's happening out there around you and start to focus more inward. Some days. This happens pretty quickly. You're ready and you're able to focus and feel really calm right away. Other days, it can take a little bit longer. Those are the days when your mind seems to wander one of the best ways to. Help your wandering mind or you're distracted mind is to begin to notice your breath and do a breathing technique or simply bring your thoughts to their rhythm and flow of your breath. So as you. Get ready to meditate I, WANNA share a little insight. From an article, we've been following along with and this is an article from psychology today five strategies for managing uncertainty during cove it nineteen by Dr. Austin perimeter. We explored earlier in the week how to reframe. Our stress our. Current situation. And how to accept it. You also explored how to rewire your thinking and. Meditation is one of the best ways to actually rewire your brain. Today your fourth strategy is refocus. It is a process. Taking a look at what really matters most in your life. So. If you're feeling like You haven't really been able to travel this summer, go places or connect with people mike you usually do. You could think of how you could still. Allow yourself downtime because that's really what Unwinding with friends is all about or going on a vacation is all about. It's giving yourself a break from your regular. Day to day routine. So you could maybe go somewhere. Around your area. You could visit places that you've never been to before right. Literally sometimes in your backyard I know I've found a lot of different parks and trails that. I didn't know existed right near my home. You might think about connecting with someone. That you're not maybe such good friends with, but maybe you could deepen that relationship by connecting with them. By meeting them, you may have to social distance or even meeting them on onsumer maybe set a time and do. A zoom call with them once a week you're probably already doing lots zoom calls and you might be sick of logging onto zoom. You could simply think of things that. You have always wanted to explore. And explore them. This helps to refocus your thoughts. From, what you're missing out on to? White. You still have available right around you. So as you get ready to settle yourself down. To, do the meditation today combining the techniques. As. Always. I have an APP called the No map, and this is where you can find. Thirty minute guided meditations if you want a deeper meditation experience. You also can always find support. On. These SIP, and on social media sites on facebook and. On instagram where I show up every day. So. Go ahead now and find someplace comfortable where you would like to sit. This might be outside I always encourage you to try meditating outside as long as it's safe to do so. As I record this for you I'm outside and we are getting ready to have a big thunderstorms. So hopefully, I can finish it up. Before I have to move inside. Begin to relax your body not seen where you harbor stress and gently release it. Now Mentally Repeat. Piece is within me. And feel within yourself. A sense of peace you might notice where you hold piece were you hold excitement and joy notice this and tap into it.

Top Voice AI Stories in the First Half of 2020

"I. I asked each of the panelists today what they thought was the top story in the first half of twenty twenty invoice in everyone seemed to agree that covid nineteen was to be Let's start with you John There are many stories about voice in Corona. what stood out to you what's your experience Ben and how that's impacted the voice industry. Generally whether it be Europe or US or globally whatever your perspective is on that. That's interesting questions. At the beginning I think we covered it. In like end of February or like mid. March. I was a little concerned the odds because various like building for assistance like Alexa Google Assistant. is still very often seen as to some like innovation. And so what I thought is that companies now that they're not sure where market is going in these uncertain times that they budgets for this and that's this all of these developments, wiggins slowdown but it feels like at least when we're like when I'm talking to other industry professionals, it feels like that. There is love optimism One might related might be related to. People being at home more using Alexa more I. think Catholic early say more about this. The other is that more and more people now see the value of vices not being just like saving time for example, but then also being germ-free technology that you're like there was this one them all by. Pico. Voice thing queered they have like the voice enabled elevator of, for example, all of these different applications these. Are. Pretty exciting I mean we're still in the early days regarding this, but I definitely emcee that more and more companies are thinking about voice experiences the go beyond building. Games Alexa. For example, on that go beyond marketing Alexa skills, and think about k. what's what could the health benefits of filling filling voice and Tad's Free Interactions Look like A great point eight is thinking about that when. When you look at voice, you mentioned this idea is works experiment for a lot of businesses and it might have been coming out of their innovation budget and you see some sort of really big disruption that's hitting revenues profits, and therefore discretionary spending. We would see we would normally expect these type of special projects beside line but in fact, what we're seeing is a lot of there being accelerated. This. Very interesting to see an I thought some of that is definitely kind of a self fulfilling prophecy of the industry that you're like, Oh yeah. Alexa has been slowing down a bit at least it felt like this in the scale store Kayla look into other ways that we can build exciting experiences but it also feels like that more and more companies that haven't been in the industry in the voice in the treaty are also looking for like how to deploy was experiences now. Whether it be touch free or it just be for a really convenient way to interact. Catherine Yon just mentioned you. You're sort of background and focus on the consumer. It will bring you in here a when you think about the voice view the voice brew lands and Cova Nineteen. How do you come out on that? Yes. So there are a couple of things I. Love. I love to talk about I. You know there have been lots of reports that have indicated that there's been an uptick in voice assistant usage and that's great for the industry but I think what's even more interesting is that the data showing that people are trying more things more things they haven't done before with their voice assistance and I am definitely seeing this. You know through the Lens of voice brew the engagement with forcetruth emails has been up significantly through You know since the start of the pandemic and March and also the volume of subscriber emails that I get has exploded in recent months. So people are at home they're trying things they're running into issues and they want help solving them or they're just excited that something new work. Then they wanna tell me and they get in touch. So it's you know it's kind of anecdotal but you know I'm I'm definitely seeing more people trying more new things with their voice assistance and I think that's that's really exciting. That's really interesting to me that that you know it it doesn't surprise me that. Because people are all they're using their devices more, they're looking for more ways to do it. They've discovered voice brewed so that it's just another signal that your subscriber base has gone up Frankly because of you know it coincides with all these other things that are happening simultaneously. Yeah no that that's been great and it's also just with the existing Subscriber Base I. can see that you know people again people are at home. You know they're reading their reading their emails. They're just they're they're engaging more and I, think. Part, what's you know from my perspective also really great about this. Is that I am hopeful that this will persist beyond Kobe. So once you kind of open the can of worms of trying a lots of new things with Alexa or with Google assistant that people will now be open to continuing to do these things but trying more new things So. You know all good

Let Go of Fear

"This is episode one thousand, thirty, five of the daily Meditation Podcast I'm Mary Medically and. You are in the right place for a little more peace, energy and clarity. In today's episode you're going to discover a meditation technique to help. You feel grounded. That probably sounds pretty good now because we are living in such uncertain times, so in today's episode, you will. Feel a little safer and you also feel a little more stillness. As you do your meditation. So when you think about feeling safe. You often. May Remember Times in your life when you felt as though. Someone was watching over you or you were secure with a job or with a relationship. You had food shelter. Clothing and lots of love in your life. These are things that make us feel safe. Win. There's a lot of uncertainty even though you may still have. The requirements for feeling safe. You can feel exposed and vulnerable. So the emotions that settle within in you. That make you feel unsteady and uncertain. Are harbored in your first Chuck Gra. Your First Chakra is located right at your cock six or the very base of your spine. And the parts of your body that help you to feel connected to the ground as you walk your legs and your feet, and your hips as you sit. These are the parts of the body that are impacted when you feel unsafe, you can feel stuck like you can't move. Many people often have nightmares when they don't feel safe where they feel like they're running, but they're not getting anywhere. The parts of the body that normally ground US and carry us through life. Are Feeling as though they're unsupported. So, we knew focus on your first Chakra. The. Element is the earth. And you could visualize the earth supporting you. The Earth beneath your feet. Or the ground beneath you as you said. You could also visualize the color red. This is the color of your first Chaka and this is a color. That's strong. It anchors you. And asks you consider. Emotions that make you feel fearful or afraid. Know that when you focus on feeling more grounded, you're likely to remember. Those people those places and those times in your life when you did feel safe and grounded. Those qualities are they're within you, and as you settle yourself down and tap into as sense of safety and peace I. Invite you to visualize being with someone. In some place where you feel safe. As I record this series. There's a thunderstorm outside and I can hear the rain falling. I live in Florida so usually in the afternoons, especially in the summer. We get some pretty fierce thunderstorms. And these storms make me feel safe. And I realized that. I feel safe in thunderstorm. My dog often his really afraid and jumps on me during the thunderstorm for protection, but I feel safe because when. I was a little girl. We often win camping and we had a camper or tent and when it would rain. It would be so comforting to be inside, cozy and warm with my family and I remember. My mom would always make something hot to drink hot chocolate or hot tea, or a little snack or dessert something that would kind of perk us up that we could enjoy. During the storm

Picking and others are based on summer vacation. Plans like a Disney trip. We booked for late August and early September. Planning lets. Us anticipate are fun this year. Though there's a lot of uncertainty will amusement parks even be open with a stay at home order be lifted before the strawberry season is over? I've read a few think pieces about how this is. All teaching us the futility of planning but I think that would be a ridiculous lesson to take away from. This life is always uncertain. We are spinning on an improbable planet. In the middle of cold space. Any of US could die tomorrow but we probably won't so in general best to eat your vegetables loss and contribute to your 401k. Likewise we can still plan for fun in Uncertain Times. We don't ever want to become too attached to our plans. We don't want to get to the point where our happiness or even our self concept rests on our plans. This would be like calling off the wedding because it might rain. Life guarantees nothing but we can plan for various scenarios and hope for the best. Oh figuring out what would make us happy. And the event of something. Far Less than perfect for instance. My family loves our strawberry picking but if for some unknown reason outdoor activities like strawberry. Picking are still unavailable in early June. We can ask what part we really like. I'm pretty sure my kids are most excited about making strawberry shortcake with homemade whip cream and that we can still do. We can plant our own strawberry plants in the backyard even if they never do all that well every summer. I like to do what I call a Mommy Day with each of my kids the two of US spend one on one time all day doing something the kid chooses. I'm still hoping that places like amusement parks and beaches will open but if not we can choose other things to do together. Especial Picnic and walk somewhere doing a project reading stories together even camping in the backyard. We HOPE FOR OPTION A. We HAVE OPTION B. If it doesn't happen so I encourage you to still make a summer fund list. I'm certainly doing so some big stuff simply can't happen if you don't plan for it. You will not get a reservation at Cinderella's royal table unless you book one hundred eighty days out. But if a pandemic precludes eating there well we've still got a lot of princess dress up costumes and the option to go on trips in twenty twenty one and beyond in the meantime the says. "No catch people have already donated the money. Certain amount of money donated. Just get yours are Har- you can get the black one. The one the black the black one is the one with ritual translation all of its in one volume when you get the mini one. The mini book for healing which is just volume. Twenty of the inner hard shrunk down to pocket-size so there's that and the other thing. I wanted to to sure that part of a lot of what we said. Today is very much in the head how to change your thinking and I want to speak a little bit about the part because it's very hard to i. I think a lot of people there. Certainty comes from facts and proof and experience right so the the way that the cabalists exploited is that you have a test. You go through a challenge. Maybe somebody breaks your heart and on the other side of it is prince charming so you then have certainty in that area. That go having a broken heart can lead to good things with. David spoke about student of his the other the other day who the other show who went through something similar and after that can go on a speaking circuit right lecturing circuit about how heartbreak equals soulmate. Right that's one way to achieve certainty and we all have those moments right now. I no longer fear or worry about my connection to the Creator. The Creator has my back because I had a miracle in that area of my life or it can be. I know a lot of people who struggle with having kids. They have a kid and then there certainty is strengthened in that area. Right or even business right person tries a does the testing as David said something works and they again to me. That's confidence but in spiritually minded person. That also strengthens their they. They know that they are connected to the Creator in that area of their life. Life is a series of tests right now knowing that there may be an area in my life that I labeled before. Today's show as bad or dark or I'm weak in that area. The the beginning of the strengthening of certainty in that area starts with me tapping into my inner voice. I think one of the of the world's religions or even spiritual paths talk about how the Creator or power or source or the universe is there and we need to become holier or more pure or more connected and cabal teaches that spark inside of each one of us. We all the answers are within so when you say to yourself well I wha what should I do? I don't know what I should do. You do know what you should do. All you need to do is to tap into that inner knowledge that that inner voice that spark inside you and again through that certainty of I know the late has my back. I know that I'm connected. And if I'm making the wrong choice right now or if there's something I don't see I wanna be shown it I want to see it and therefore again level up in my certainty so recognize it all of those. It's very hard to A. Let's say if you were to test yourself you know I have absolute certainty in my. My abilities are in my relationship. All the other areas where you're lacking certainty. Those are the areas where you can reveal where can grow so focused this week on listening more to that inner voice that beacon inside you that you know t had it right the heart light you have to use it because that's really the more that's not trusting your ego or your skill or facts that's trusting the light inside you. What's the meditation we can give to people? What's the meditation or the mantra that we can give our? I have one for when you are hearing information because you have to protect your consciousness when information is coming at you if you let it and it can be poison so for me. Every time I hear something bad. It's maybe maybe yes maybe no. I'm sure about. That's that's my mantra and that's where I leave it. What's your what's what's your mind for for what you just shared. Well I don't I don't have a mantra sorry to To give them a tool so I have to what I like to do. And and that's one of my practices and actually driving to the show. Is I do a meditation. The we call in the UNABOMB cough the very quick forty two word mantra meditation. I try to wipe out all of the chatter and banter and you know what do I gotta do? And what's happening after the show you know and I just wait to see what comes and inevitably. That's that's where it comes sometimes. It happens while I'm it often happens while I'm driving if I'm honest because I think driving is a form of meditation. Your conscious mind is focused on something. So your unconscious mind is untethered. Sometimes people have it in the shower. Right autopilot you have your routine so your body is busy. Your soul can channel download Really powerful things. The the for me the story. I didn't think about it like a mantra. But that being in the middle you know like you have the the scales and standing on top of the Scales and being like either as true either as possible. It's a reactive thing for me because I have a Lotta Lebron my in there and go. Yeah maybe maybe Ya. I don't know I say there if I'm not careful so for me. It's more about strengthening that trust in the broadcast from within testing it right because it requires action. And that's a big part of of this week is going to ask us to take action with certainty knowing that if I take action with certainty and there's a better action for me to take I will find it out. You said something powerful that the unconscious mind because every part of us are conscious and unconscious mind is looking for pleasure. So if we're not focused in the now in drawing our intention of our conscious and unconscious mind to the now to plant a seed it will eventually go out there and look for some form of pleasure and that's when people start getting confused which I was GonNa show with your husband because I know he's. He's our dream expert but I I was reading something about why when people start to have dreams about Relationships from their past things that passed that were maybe pleasurable. It's an indication that during the day. They're not being stimulated. So because the unconscious mind needs stimulation. It starts to draw upon memories in the past in the dream state which I found that very interesting. Which just goes to show is that we're constantly sitting to receive pleasure and if you're not focusing yourself in guiding yourself in the moment the stay attentive to connect to the reality that you're experiencing right now which is simplicity. Then you're conscious unconscious. Mind will start to go everywhere and start to go into the future and go into the past and we'll start also listening to all the news and all the information and try to take as much data as possible because it wants to be stimulated so either you stimulate yourself or your self is going to go out there and start to look for stimulation which is where the confusion starts. Okay I'm GonNa give you the other the flip side of that coin. If you don't relate to the concept of pleasure seeking you probably relate to the concept of relief seeking. There's a lot of people out there that don't give themselves the permission to seek pleasure so they're constantly looking for relief. Relief is a form of pleasure. Are we say the same thing? Because I'm just saying you're suppressing that they're gonna go take it in a way. That's not right right. So I'm I'm just making it clear because personally. I don't consider myself a pleasure seeker. I've never been Hedonistic or or. I don't know I don't we're not talking. We're talking about just some form of gratification. Right so I'm saying if you don't relate to that pleasure seeking mentality your word. You're probably relief seeker. You're you're you're willing to put in the effort because you know you're going to be able to relax or enjoy or check out later right. I always tell people when you're eating your food you should really enjoy it and focus on it because if you don't enjoy the things that you're permitted to enjoy you will start to look for things that you're not permitted to enjoy and that's where the deviance comes from so you because who had the deviant people the people who aren't taking pleasure in the things that they should be taking pleasure so they look for it elsewhere spending time with your kids and you're being focused with them or if it's in your business to truly enjoyed an appreciate it To when you're eating your food you're eating. That's a good thing enjoy it. Don't don't have your head somewhere else. Enjoy it take pleasure in otherwise you'll look for pleasure. Ways are deviant. "A lot of people don't like to make choices until they have certainty and that's a mistake. You have to me. You have to make an educated choice knowing that every choice will always be made with uncertainty without but once you make that choice you have to just be committed to it and say I am committed to what I have certainty about the fact that need to make a choice. I don't know if this is going to be right or wrong but falling and being consumed by fear and worry all that does is. It perpetuates chaotic environment. And and you never going to be lead to certainty. So I think what's powerful because someone asked me recently about well. How do you become successful in selling something? It was selling a product how you become successful and the answer that all entrepreneurs give is you got to test it. You GotTa Test This. You GotTa test that. How do I know what's going to work? How do I know what advertisements going to work? Well you gotTa Test Twentieth. Nineteen while fail and then you find the one. That's going to work and you know what that one is only going to work for seven days. You gotTa try another one. She gotTA keep testing stuff. Those who are testing who are spending the money to test. We're willing to take the EGO hit. The detest in relationship has kind of the same thing. You have to learn about who you are. You have to test it. Someone recently was depressed. And they're asking me how to get out of depression and I think what's amazing is. I told him you should stay in your depression. You should just stay in it because you're testing it. Try IT OUT. See if it works for you. Why are you trying to get out your depression? So quick why trying to get on your pain so quick go into it explore it feel it and then decide for yourself if this is the way you wanna live your life because people who keep going back to if you keep going back to similar painful situations similar conversations similar things keep happening to you. It's because you're you're you're going to that negative place and it's painful immediately jumping out of it sometimes. It's very good to just test. It go right into it. Feel it experience at Dwell in the darkness in the swamp and know that you're choosing to experience this so that you can ultimately make a choice to be a whole new human being be a different person so I think there's I think people are just afraid to take that first step commit to something because they think well. That's that's the way it's going to be forever or if I make a mistake I'm a failure. Whatever else that was our story that we tell ourselves it's totally okay. Everything can be changed. Everything can be renewed. Everything can be fixed. Don't worry about it make the step. And then you'll have more certainty after you fail. It's interesting because the cavaliers say that even in in a divorce there can be light. That's right and that that to me was always a lesson of like nothing is irreversible nothing. Nothing can't be changed and they're someone was asking a question about their kids. Doing what's the word? Participating in risky behaviors like teenagers doing drugs. Okay so I wanna make it also clear. That certainty isn't trusting the Creator and crossing an eight lane highway. Knowing you're you'RE GONNA make it to the other side because God is with you right. I not certain that's not certainty. Certainty is I know that the light is. I'm with the light and the light is with me. And that's what's guiding my my choice making my decision making. I can walk the extra fifteen minutes to the crosswalk or whatever it is you know. I know that I have the strength to do that. And that's the right choice. Maybe that's a very simplistic. That's the right use of the word simplistic Example but the reality are. The goal of having certainty isn't so that we're immune to challenge. I think with David's point was with a person who didn't want to feel his pain or wanted to alleviate his pain. The point is that in those darkest moments that's where the light can be revealed and I feel like that's a an overarching theme that needs to be repeated over and over and over again. Is that even though we we think we enjoy the easy. We think we enjoy the smooth. The real growth and greatness emerges when the it's not smooth and when it's not easy and when it doesn't look simple and we have to choose and fight ourselves to choose the simplicity that's where the greatness is that's where the light is and that's where I think every great miracle when I say miracle it only mean being saved from a car accident I mean you know every fabulous time of events in our favor right before it comes a huge letting go and that knowledge that I can leap and there is a safety net. Not that I'll be protected from feeling bad but that I will be guided no matter what. Let's summarize some of the points that we talked about in terms of certainty. I think these are such powerful points. Because when you crack the code of certainty you've cracked the code of happiness. We talked a lot about simplicity. And and everyone posts simplicity differently. My one of my methods is to avoid anything. That is drama or confusing or too much. David and I are allergic to dry. I SORTA sub I it. Sometimes people just start telling me about something dramatic that happens and I just have to stop them and say I don't care about any of the details. What's the point? What are you trying to say? What are you trying to say because a lot of times people want to dump like data dump? I'm not interested in a data dump. I want to know the facts. And let's separate the good from the bad and let's accept that there's good and bad we have to accept that you're never going to be able to be in relationship unless you accept that there's a good batting your partner. I think I think sometimes people are like have unrealistic expectations. What are the what? What's that show Saturday night? Live skit? Something expectations great expectations. No it's not. It's lowered expectations expectations. The real the real one and then I think this is another. Skit was also lowered expectations. I think I think you've got to accepting the fact that the power of your partner or the power of anything in this world is that it has a good and bad side to it and and the sooner you can accept that you are a powerful person you will now have certainty because it's when you're hooked to a something good or something really bad you're you're setting yourself up for a fall and you're being unrealistic because that's not how the world works. We live in what's called the tree of knowledge. Good and that which means that the DNA of good and bad within everything people want the tree of life which is all good. I get that we have to that. We're not there yet. So meanwhile everything in this world has the DNA of good and bad the sooner you can accept that now at you're on your path to certainty that's the way you can love someone. That's the way you can accept other people that's the way you can get out of your own selfishness selfishness when you start to realize okay. There's a good in a bad. This person that I hate. Well why do I hate? Him is also a good side. What's the good side? Let's figure it out now. You've got both now. You got certainty. Now you're a leader so we talked about that. We talked about testing stuff planting seeds trying different. Things obviously don't be reckless. I see people tests off and spend all their money testing it now. They have no more money and even though they they failed now. They don't have money to test. Get so be smart about the way you test but if you're if you're not testing because you're afraid you have go here you're waiting for it to be perfect and your date because they're waiting for the perfect person. What did you? What did you do to earn the perfect person? Like Nolan's what is the WHO is the perfect? The perfect person is fifty percent good and fifty percent. That's what we're that's what we're determining. What makes them perfect for? You is that you can handle the fifty percent of them that that isn't good. Brazil that again. What makes them perfect for? You is that they're the fifty percent of them. That is bad is perfect for you. You can see how it's perfect for you. You can see how it's perfect for you that I love that. The perfect person fifty percent good for the percent bad because I who who are we that we have earned one hundred percent but it also doesn't exist David. Forgettable exists. Because no 'cause like attracts like so if there's nobody in this world that's a hundred percent good. There's nobody who's GonNa attract that one hundred percent good as well so lowered expectations. Someone wrote here. It's it was mad. Tv Not Saturday. Maybe yeah you're right he's right. Okay well I wanted to emphasize to other things that can help us this week. Can WE ASK PEOPLE TO THE HELP. Share our before. We continue so one of the things I wanted to talk about with sharing so definitely the book. Oh no you to say no well. I don't know if I'm GONNA say the same thing I just wanted to say for. Audience can help us out and share. Because they're sharing every week and our audience is growing and it's because of them that's the best thing they can do for us is to share the comment to engage but share this with a broader audience. Because we're getting a lot of new people every week and one of the other things that we organized with sharing in mind in in honor of this week's cosmic windows and energetic support is that you can go to Cabela's dot com and get a talk about Zohar in the class. That's I think our main text the main source of what we share with you aside from our experience and things that other people we've known have experienced the Zohar is our Goto and you can get as Zohar on Cabala dot com for free catch. "uncertain times" Discussed on Weekly Energy Boost

"The weekly energy boost. My name is Ellie Chevra and I am here this morning with squeaky David and we are here to share with you this morning. The spiritual energy forecast according to the wisdom of Kabbalah This Week. The university giving us the opportunity to strengthen our certainty meaning. They're all they're going to be gifts of certainty as well as tests of certainty and we wanNA share with you. The best methods the best practices for not only taking advantage of the opportunities this week. But using this week as a catapult to take us to a higher level of certainty especially in these uncertain times. what we want. Ask from you to help us as you do. Every week is to share with us the things that trigger your uncertainty. We want to speak to those things If you're watching live you can do that in the comments And if you're watching a replay or listening to a podcast you can email us at energy boost at Kabala Dot Com and we will address those as we can David I I don't know about you but driving here this morning I was What are some powerful concepts that you gotTa Buy Certain? I've been thinking about it for a few days actually every week we we take time. I I know that was the moment. I start to focus on the topic of the week. The universe throws me beautiful not only personal lessons of course but also You know stories newspaper articles people texting me emailing me calling me with different situations and One of the things that I I this week in living color is how our fears. Our worries are the doubts that we have which are the opposite of certainty are act actually create separation between US and other people. I think more in this time then. At least that I've seen recently. You know there are certain people who in who because of what's going on are afraid or worried are concerned and there's all the evidence in the world for them to be concerned and there's other people like you know you mentioned often on the last few shows there are people who are thriving and that doesn't mean they're doing risky things but they're they're not allowing the limitations to confine them physically spiritually mentally emotionally. Well I think this this goes back to the premise of what the whole foundation of Cabal is built on. Which is that your consciousness determines your reality and what's going on in your head what's going on with your thoughts will eventually affect and create the entire movie that you call your life and that needs to be a starting point for all of us on the spiritual journey because the the way that the opponent negative force that is that is there with all of us trying to help us earned the light of the crater with the opponent dies as it tries to make everything else more important than my controlling of my thoughts. We call our consciousness. My consciousness is the way I think about the world the way I perceive certain situations what I believe about certain situations so. Let's say that there's really let's break down to two types of consciousness there's the consciousness of certainty and there's a conscious of doubt and that pretty much means that when I see something or interact with someone I what's going on in my head am I. Am I thinking about how this is bad? How this is GonNa hurt me too. I doubt am I split like a hundred different places and my unfocused Am I being judgmental mindless sitting to my own fears that are controlling the way I feel and whatnot so the conscious of certainty? Basically is you telling yourself all day long. It's a mantra all day. Long three levels one. I have certainty that everything comes from the Creator. I have certainty that everything is for my ultimate good. Even though I don't see it and I have certainty that this situation or whatever's going on is there to help me improve and to transform whenever I have these three levels of certainty from the creator. It's good it's here to help me. Improve Your unstoppable. This is rock solid consciousness. This is this is the consciousness of successful people. That's that's where I wanted to start with. I think we need to make a distinction between certainty and confidence or what we call certainty and I Dunno confidence or you know. I think that it's easy to say. Well Yeah I I. I know that this person is the right person for me or I know this job is the right job for me or I know I can do it. Capitalistically that's not certainty. That's confidence more believing in in someone or something certainty. According to Kabala is the conviction that whatever is going on is for the best. There is a system of cause and effect. And I know that. Even if whatever's going on right now doesn't feel good is uncomfortable. Awakens my lack. My fear is my doubts. I know that it's leading me to the best possible scenario. It's perfect for me that that that the spiritual system is perfect and and that you know I think for me. It's helpful to remember that all of the people in my life are like actors in my movie right. This is the metaphor that we give off in in in the early the beginning classes of Kabala because it it really helps translate Our challenges into opportunities right. If you if you look at your life is a movie. You're the main actor actress and all the people in your movie are actors that are hired to play a part in the movie in the plot of the movie is to get you to be the best version of you to be the most powerful the most successful the most happy the most healthy and all of the People. They are basically hired by the producer. Who is the late force of the Creator to make sure you get there so the person that's pushing your buttons is there for your greater good not to ruin your day? Our choice in that moment is to choose the higher response the the more elevated response the response that our soul is pushing story. Which is you know you can push and I have A. I can choose a proactive way to respond. I depending on the person I can't tell you what the RESP- actual response would be but the fact of the matter is that if I remember if I have certainty in the fact that this person. Who's pushing my buttons. Is there to get me to my next level. I remember that whatever I'm going through isn't between me and the other person it's between the Creator and that's a really important aspect I think of maintaining certainty is that I wanna make it between me and the other person I want like you always say. I'm the only person on the planet art and and maybe you can refresh our memory about what that means. But it's really about that. That might set of. This is just for me. And it's between me and the Creator. So we're making the case here that there's two frequencies and only to either you're in this powerful abundant happy place of certainty even though physically. Things aren't going your way. We know that the physical reality will follow your certainty eventually or you are in the victim lacking state of consciousness which is of worry and doubt even though sometimes. We think that we worry about something. We're helping it if I worry about my child. I'm actually being a good parent if I from worrying about my business then. I'm being a good business owner. This is false. It poisons whatever you worry about. So we're making the case that there's only two forms of consciousness. We want to shift to that frequency of certainty. How do we get there? There's a couple of steps that that we I've laid out here to share of how you achieve that abundant consciousness. Because I think we all want it. We we associate certainty with peace of mind. We are attracted to people who have certainty. We know that even if you have certainty about something negative you're more likely to achieve it then. Someone who has doubts about something positive certainty is the manifesting tool person with certainty. Makes Things Happen? Person with certainty is aligned with the light of the Creator. So how do you get the certainty? So what I wrote here is. Simplicity leads to certainty when you are simple and not complicated. You are on a path to certainty most people who have doubts and fears. It's because preceding. Those doubts and fears was a convoluted complicated way of dealing with life. Things are complicated for them. They're so complicated. They're there too much data running through their head. They are looking at everything from like five. Different five thousand different perspectives. It's they're not being simple about life about people about situations that's that simplicity. Being a simple person which sounds bad when you say it that way but since simpleton not a simpleton we're talking about simple I'm trying to think of a good example of people who just come to me with just like so much complicated when you creating a lot of drama and a lot of you don't understand no one understands that mindset. It's laced with that lace with like a victim conscious overcomplicate stuff and whenever you think like things are getting complicated or you think your relationship is complicated or you think your spiritual path is complicated or or you think things are happening with. The world is complicated. So you're already disconnected. You're already GONNA now eventually go into the zone of doubts and fears which then creates chaos so simplicity equal certainty which leads to success comp. Complicated thinking leads to doubts which leads to chaos. Now I WanNa talk about what leads to simplicity. So is everybody following me here. There's a brandt branching out. What leads to simplicity as just one tool I wanNA give. Simplicity was the concept. I'm gonNA give the tool. I've learned that the way we process information will determine whether we go down the simple route or the complicated. How do you process information? You gotta break things down to when you hear stuff see stuff or even feel stuff you got to break it down for example if someone says to you. I hate this person. I think they're the worst person in the world. That's a statement right. You hear the statement from me children. I hear it all day long. Someone has something to say about somebody but you hear this and then you take that and you just digest this idea that this person. Let's say John is the worst person in the world? You have to break that down. Say Wait a minute. What do you mean is the person in the world? Does he do anything good? Does he do anything bad? You have to break it down when you hear statements and you just accept them. This becomes like a virus that creates complicated set of it becomes a mishmash inside your own system so if someone tells me John is a horrible person I say. Stop right there. Can you be more specific statement? Why are they horrible? What's good about them? What's bad about them? All of a sudden this person will now breakdown. Well Johnson. Horrible Person. You just did one thing to upset me and then what good thing that John Dead. Well John has six other good qualities. Why this is important as you're breaking down information and it's organized now in your consciousness when things are organized and it's all a mishmash this eventually leads down to confusion and then doubts and then chaos the same way that our teachers used to tell us that that if you WanNa have certainty clean your own organizer House if you have a physical outside of you where everything is not in its place and it's all just like a An amoeba of of junk in house. Eventually this brings you also doubts and confusion in your head so the way our physical reality is that's also going to lead at your consciousness so what I like to do is I like to break down information and not. Just take what people say or whatever are here whatever I read at face value because that the beginning of what leads to confusion in doubts. Do you understand. You have the face that you're not understanding what I'm always so impressed. At how completely different differently were wires. I would never even think to or go to that kind of breakdown or I think. That's why people like to listen to us. Shows audience sitting here really an awe and admiring your methodology? Could never or no. You weren't GonNa go there. That's not the not wrote down. Not No I have four pages of notes not I do have the word simple of course because that's key but wouldn't have gone there but really impressed. Well there's other ways to get the simplicity. That is one method. I wanted to share with our audience on all elaborate more. But when he my I want to capture the people who may be sitting here going. Wow I never would have thought of that David only because you know the I think a lot of us do feel like we have certainty in certain areas of life right like I know I'm good to fill in the blank there or you know for for many people if they have confidence and again. I'm going to make sure that use a distinction between confidence and certainty. Many people are confident in their skills or their connection with the Creator at work but they feel uncertainty in their relationships. Some people have certainty in their relationships and our have uncertainty about their health or their Their power outside of the home. Let's say and the I would look for those areas this weekend. Which you you your lack of certainty shows up. You know where where you feel the need to micromanage or control or where you have fear or or anxiety. That sometimes can paralyze you because there is different. The energy this week is supporting us to strengthen that especially Tonight and tomorrow we have this. Which is Monday night.

"Feel obligated. Say here and you did it. I did tell us how you did it and how it's going it's going great. They matched my pay. The insurance is a bit more expensive but with other avenues of income. It doesn't really cause much of a burden. My last supervisor set the bar pretty high for a great Boston and I think this new company is exceeding quite well and the co workers are great the environments fantastic and or not machine. So it's great. Was there a kind of a culture shock? A little bit of going from one to the other. It was everybody in. This industry seems to have come from some other the industry and I into kind of like a lone wolf so trying to find someone who was relatable for my transit service. Tough by did find a couple. And everybody's been very warm and welcoming with educating and training and making sure things go very smooth earnings adapting. So can I ask? What was the thing that most hit you as the most different like the biggest thing you had to adjust to so I went from steelworking running machine and now working in the bank industry. Tillis is just learning those institutions programs and learning the lingo. And how things work there. There's a lot of things in the financial industry that I had to learn there. No kidding and it is pretty quick. We went through an acquisition into transition and burning things on the go but with the education they provided mayberry smooth and easy. So it wasn't too shocking. It's great to hear that they gave you the training and education that you needed and wanted because sometimes people find that Israel shortcoming when they switched jobs like they're just thrown into the deep end. But not you. That's good can I ask? Is there something that maybe you bring to the table to them that they're like? Hey you got a skill that we don't often see because you've got this other kind of background. That's what I like to say. Yes honestly I don't know if I do. I know my work. I think is great because a lot of people have come from the industry already just transition to another company. So I'd like to Brag about myself on that but I don't know if I play in the future though I mean you can definitely if somebody needed. Maybe like a new steel door or something where the money is. Could maybe help fabricate that which I guarantee that's important? You know what I'm saying. If they need that or need to lay rebar somewhere. Yes you know one of the things I love about your update to us in writing Stephen that you kind of Said Yeah. It's been hard but nothing a sticky note or to camp fix with visual reminders. And like I think that's true that really struck me. I think a lot of us were terrified in these new jobs. We don't know what we're doing. We think Oh my God like my head's going to explode but it's sometimes just a few simple things that we need to learn. Remind ourselves of to kind of stay calm and continue forward on the new job and sticky note can do the trick and best thing is again my own little cubicle here so a little tax here and there to hang something that might be valuable or things going on currently are great to just kind of turn my head and see reminded tacked on the wall. Look down at a sticky note that gives me a little brief insight. Remind myself a mask. Is there anything you miss about the old job? Though I mean they're very they're so different you were doing the other Gig for it sounded like quite a while co workers for sure. I think media supervised Co Workers. Were incredible people but even though they were great to be around in. Great Workers Language. It was pretty well just gossip based or speaking negatively about the branch manager. Making jokes upon their behalf probably was entertaining. I do embrace the positive entertainment. This location bursts the negative gossip that was at that one. Yeah now you've also got the DJ business on the side. So how's that John Going Great? So I just booked to more weddings this week. So that puts me about twenty right after this year which I would love to be one of those companies that has to three hundred year but slowly but surely we have a six month old as well so I'm at too eager to become too busy to make sure my wife that break as she runs her own business as well. So here's our last question for you. What is the song right? Now that is guaranteed to get people moving at your Dj Gigs. I'm becoming quite burnt out on it but it is Liz those songs. Everything she's making right now is just hitting very well especially with the. I'd say thirty five and under generation anything little touches turning to gold right now is so jealous. I never thought to call myself Liz Liz. Liz Seem so obvious if he'd like let's just wrap up the whole show that way. We'll go out okay. Absolutely congrats and thanks. A lot for Getting back to us. Congratulations thank you so much. I give all credit to you.

"For me as a coach about the we all have a purpose and passion. It would be helping those affected to rediscover a reignite what it is that they're here to do in the world and get them to go and do it. I think for me. I think businesses now I think some businesses always got the business For some airlines. Maybe we didn't have the nicest Jorda sometimes and now I feel like everything is going to go back to service. I'm being kind being a little bit. Nicer. And people are gonNA WANNA only work with those businesses. That are offering. That's a really good point. I think in general you're going to see either falling off of business because they're not willing to innovate and they just go away. You've also got the baby boomer generation which is retiring and they're not typically downloading their business to their sons and daughters. They don't really want to be a part of it. It's hard to sell so I think there's going to be in general just a ton of opportunity in a lot of industries air-traffic and airlines being one of them because people are going to crave human connection more and more as we socially distance ourselves permanently. Because like somebody said it's good for the bottom line. People in organizations are gonNA realize to get rid of the commercial. Space DOWNSIZED WORKER. Mostly so work retreats workshops weekends away hotels tourist towns. I think are going to boom an air travel. In general is one of the number one lead indicators of growth because it's very connected to human race growth and if we do. Have a resurgence if we do have more people don't forget you've got almost two billion people coming into the middle class this decade alone between Asia South no Latin America India and those people want to travel. They've got money. They WANNA travel. So I'm actually have positions in airlines right now. It looks like a black back because it is and when the Dust Settles Bailey. I think service is going to be huge. I think I think because consumers now have true choice and they can be pickier with their dollars that the operators that were allowed to kind of get through in Slough off not really focused on client experience. I think they're going to dry up and go away hear hear absolutely one of the biggest opportunities that I think right now in this in. This might be a little bit counterintuitive but I see it as an opportunity for businesses to maybe slightly step out of their Swim Lane. And go do something. That's really truly socially responsible to build brand equity by doing something radical by really truly going and making that difference by finding the opportunities right now to really give back in some way shape or form through time through effort through funding support. Whatever it is to maybe step out of that swim lane to really show that good all these companies that have these amazing slogans and logos of how we give back in how important our customers are. Maybe this is the time to really double down on that and instead of shying away from step up and go make that difference. The impact of that is going to be huge. We're going to remember right. We're going to remember those businesses that have really taken opportunity to step up step out and maybe do something outside a little bit to give back. Right Bailey. You started out with sharing. Hey you're gonNA give some of that hand sanitizer away. No cost nothing. You want to give it away people who need it the most. That's amazing right. That's a big difference. That's new being in your town. I mean yes you I guess you could sell it in the store say it was going to be one of those main brands. That would be something that is out of the swim lane yet at the same time. It's really giving back. That's social responsibility that I talk about a lot that that's a massive opportunity. Sweet Awkward Silence Admiration for a good looking man so under an hour so many beats times. We say our goodbyes were. I think we've had a good run at this. I'm bloomfield last improvements to have spent an hour of my life with some really good people and think that we have shared some incredible talents and gifts and some wisdom there and if I trust and hope that people will view are what this at a later date and we share it at the heck grade out of it so last words any and all of us maybe not your very last words but today on the program for me. It's thanks very much for energy. And the time and and thoughts and people watching think about what was people who did business with need and make that happen. Innovate as office inch. Thanks very much appreciate it. Run AND DWAYNE. Yes it will be sharing. It will be on facebook and it will be on Youtube. So everyone on the panel. Here will be able to Cherry on Youtube. So yeah next up. I want to thank you for inviting me to be on here. It was really nice to meet. All You gentlemen is afternoon and I just want to say we choose each day every moment the way that we think the state of mind that we are in and I think if we choose positively everyday even that's tough and we all have our moments will be in a much better place when we're out of this and I just want to see if anybody wants to reach out to me is for a chat on the phone. Facetime your instagram facebook on here for you thank you. Yeah maybe one or learn now. I just want to thank you very for the time people out there. DoN'T FREAK OUT. This too shall pass. If you look back and six weeks six months six years you're gonNA remember half of the way you feel today look longer term. Don't make decisions out of pure motion. Make sure to take some time reflecting spend time with your family. Take this opportunity and shake that ass. Yes absolutely I WANNA thank you. Everyone for coming on today. It was really last minute. I mean this came up just yesterday. It was one of those total spur of the moment and the fact that everyone made the time. I WANNA honestly thank. You sincerely. Thank you from my heart. That is incredible. It really is a beautiful light that we have much like the song and I wanNA celebrate that all that anyone got out of this was just that one or two ideas of how to innovate of how to grow of how to change most importantly to be socially responsible. Make that impact than everyone here. We've done our job so I thank you that what did I tell you? It was a long one. No doubt about it whatsoever. Thank you so much for tuning in today. "No question opportunity every single thing. I must have said that word about twenty times now in this but that's really what it is right one of those questions. I ask myself all the time is what's the opportunity here right now right. That has become one of those standard definite definition questions. And no matter what's going on I'm priming myself to go and find go and seek out that opportunity whether to help to make an impact to change someone's life to help someone's business whatever it is when we focus in on that when we have that opportunity with our families. We've got that extra time to really connect and really communicate. My Gosh. I think some amazing things are going to happen. Rule YEARS USING TECHNOLOGY. Or are we a electrically to we using zoom more using things or are you picking up the the old fashioned rotary dial phone in connecting via phone? What are you using to connect to those people that are important to you in a business museum effeminate at we have a couple of already have full people at work remotely. So we've had some amazing people come to work for business and we didn't want his business so we set up the people where we lose the business and I left. Hand went somewhere else. We actually have people that work remotely. So we've been using zoom and we use it not as more and more. I've written with my coaching and helping businesses of that into the contract business meetings and the boys instead of all the fine on a I think as Phoolan. We'll use that more more than what you know making plans nail. You've been things happen to be at the office worker to avoid that congregating people even though with service contractors in the community and aunt in the world working people just to reduce that Code Gatien of people out at one place so will then set up soon for morning meetings and things like that as we got more more using zoom in and my kids. Use them to talk to grandparents and goal squawk but one of the menu to their grandparents and stuff. So I think that'll happen more more times. A little bit in Alabama been happening more and more and more over the next weeks and months we zoom facetime and from a cell phone phone family and make time for that or France. Facetime definitely link myself. I use whatever means possible whether it's Facebook Messenger facebook chat. I'll get onto WHATSAPP zooms. Big One for me as well noticed. Notice what's happening here John. You're thinking by Zoom Bison but really. It is one of the big ones well when I'm doing those conferences with clients. With all that yeah. I'm hopping onto zoom me. I like to be. I like to be as as mobile friendly as possible and I can't stand long distance charges so I'll let my clients because of course I I know him. Work all over the world mic. When I talk we use skype my Williams make voice or whatnot but I'm good for any of those opportunities. Whatever it is it doesn't matter what it is whatever's GonNa work. Hey we want to be able to is the technology. Is there a big fan of it? I love it. It makes my life simpler suicide crisis. This has this made your family closer. I Bailey had said that. She believed that. I'm paraphrasing the main. Her family closer. Anyone else I'll say it has for me. I noticed that I'm calling my mom a lot more. She's not all that far away or whatnot. I don't I don't go visit her. She's in her seventies and stuff and you know God forbid that I did pick something up. I wouldn't want to do that but I noticed that I am on the phone with her a lot. More talking to her a lot more making sure that she's okay. Is there anything I can help her with? She needed me to get groceries or whatnot. She's completely capable of doing it herself. But in the off chance she didn't want to get out Yeah we're connecting more Steph and we've got some more time and stuff too so we're spending time together and stuff which is really great not a whole lot. We can do but even even bike riding. I think it was Monday. I went out for great little bike. Ride hadn't gone in a long time. I went up to Walnut Grove. Which is kind of North Langley area and road through there? And it's been years since I've been through there and it got me to reconnect with old myself. And I was able to introduce Steph into that area to which was which was also really nice and I think for me. Even my immediate family lock sitting down having conversations about what we're going to do and will explain that to your kids and really connecting sitting around into Stephen connected with immediate family has changed a bit. Look we're not all slashing here so it hasn't caught and still was in mental skills operational. So it's not quite as Following his America like I said but even just seeing having those conversations with the Kingston stuff about what's going on there so it has helped and connected a little bit more to show excellent. I've definitely noticed. Not so much me I. I typically tend to be the one who reaches out and prompts people and I've noticed in the last couple of weeks. A lot of people have started to prompt me. And Call Me. And it's been it's been a nice reciprocity because it makes you feel important. It makes you feel special. Things are people are thinking about you. So it's been good excellent. I've a question for the group what what does Age of US think is the single biggest opportunity from business. Moving forward massive industries going to be collapsing in halons and tourism. And things like that. But what you see is the biggest opportunity for business guy.

"I like. What now now I'm very extroverted in love being around people and I don't want him social distance but I'm just laughing that like what I grew up doing was shamed. Now it's promoted as the solution crate. Things going. Funny say the everybody was especially in regional. I ever wants to move to the cities and the cities. Everyone's in love shops is shutting down and out here and regional Sort of sitting on top similar. Well Issue Job Change People's not realize that maybe there's actually not such a ice to to live off a couple of flying plant workers and I said I think Bid Cipher. It is less. Let's I like less. That's gone on ours. Could catch the vars well. The cities and living on the college south financial sitting back outside that off role. Titans in Australia right now. My seven forty twenty night. Thank you for giving up the break. Nearly for is on a Saturday morning. It's more pleasure. We cannot save some people out of this and get some volumes with every minute was worth every minute just amazing people absolutely awesome likewise it is opportunity it is a positive mindset. That's going to get us through all of this ultimately when we train ourselves and we practice it over and over and over we choose not to focus in on all the doom and gloom and all the negativity but maybe where we can simply go and contribute where we can take just a little bit of our time a little bit of our money from our business a little bit of our effort and put it towards that greater good to serve that greater purpose. Maybe then we've actually met our purpose in life. Maybe that's what it's all about like you say neal rate life doesn't happen to us. It happens for us. Perhaps this moment. This time is our time that we can give back that we can go fulfill our destinies in what we were brought here for. Now that's opportunity at the maximum. Can't forget to mention how the world is doing so much better lake earthwise with factories in everything shutting down and all the carbon off gassing and everything so it's nice to see that I think you'd bonus so we're all GonNa hit are twenty fifty commissioner emission reduction in six months. Yeah A it is it is. It is truly amazing and I heard something the other day someone was sharing with me. That an and gosh. I can't remember the location place but the dolphins had actually come back somewhere. Where right leaving ord there for the longest time gas pollution boats all that sort of stuff and now. The dolphins are coming back right. I think this is a recalibration. I think this is a little bit of that. Really everything is going to be changed from this moment forward and for those of us who are embracing it right for those of us who are finding the opportunity in those moments who truly embracing it. We're the ones that we're to go on to succeed right. We'll succeed in a socially responsible way. Not trying to profit off this time but genuinely genuinely helping and I think he's made a slowdown as a whole community. And I think it's like you talked about all the divorces but it's actually making my family better because I'm around more present and my family lives at a town. I'm talking to them every day multiple times a day. So I think if Were creating nights unity within your friends. 'cause I'm reaching out a lot more friends than I would during a busy day. Just see if there can. I have one friend every evening at seven o'clock that calls me just to check-in date was so I think things like that are huge? The only thing I think John I think John would a wanted those two by zoom we would've bought zoom and we talked about it off line. Toilet paper Yes. We did see the the landscape changed. I is about selling coffee shops. For example and with the reduced numbers and Reduced Amana. People may be going to the office even longtime it must the welcome back to normal mobile and everyone's Dosso commerce business starter returned to usual. Wls numbers less people because more people will still be working from home. So what does the coffee shop do they innovate? What'd they w suburban? Oh my coffee shops to set up in suburbia guy with a lot of people at work from home gone up coffee van and go round and these sorts of things I think just to change the landscape of the Business Montano Kofi. Yup will sell it to people out there longer. So we're all there in the suburbs now where there's no coffee shops. So let's set up. Something atanasov absurd that the people that do work from people can access. They still could go have a coffee and laterally coast off like that would normally do in the city and create an experience for the Heisman dies. Lots of innovations in business will really change the landscape. that city environment specifically specifically that city environment. I think because it will reduce the number of people in and more people in the suburbs and Stafan and as the businesses that adapt and shift to that with the ones that will really succeed in the recovery phase and count for the next year or two absolutely that creates big opportunities. You're talking about the coffee. What it what it gave me a flashback to. Is You know years ago when we were having the wars and stuff. Everyone was getting shipped out to where they were. Well Tim Hortons was also getting shipped on his well. The KADIAN coffee chain here rather big chain in Canada and yeah they would ship out those trailers those ready to go trailers so no matter where it was boom. You could still have your Tim Hortons. This creates an opportunity number one right. Maybe instead of tiny home some of these people start taking those trailer chassis and they start moving into you. Know I- into these mobile shops these-these food trucks or something. Maybe it is looking at something like that. Maybe it's recognizing we have to review our permanent whatnot and do it different. We've got a comment here from Erica. Morrison here nine months or a little bit of that growing on as well. No question a it's constantly when the atomic time with your family exactly and are thinking. That's a pretty good consequence as long as we're allowed to hug him though. I don't know there's some rude. Facebook memes that basically say that you know if you're one of those toilet paper hoarders maybe you shouldn't be procreating. A lot of material for COMEDIANS. Going feel is facebook or instagram. I love that a lot of the. The big stars are doing free free concerts. They're just doing their live concerts in their home John Legend and pink. And they just did they hooked it up to the their instagram account. And just saying Chris Hayes. He did it was taking requests. He had the guitar he had the piano and he was making requests and I was like this is amazing this morning. We just sat there and watched. It is beautiful. That's amazing. That's that's incredible. I think that's really what it's all about giving back swift and Jamie you always say to me. How do you bring value right though? These people are bringing value to us. And I think that's something we have to think about how to give back and how to bring value and I think that will help sustain with our businesses and with moving forward where we where we end up in this mixture earlier. Point about how you said like afterwards. How does this change? How does it look? You know you got to adapt and have suburban. Coffee shops in the ice cream truck comes back in a big way. Now you know not not just bellybutton high pants for girls but the ice cream trucks gonNA come back. You're going to see a renaissance. It changes a lot of things. I think this is a really good opportunity for people to take a minute and ask themselves i. K- what have I been putting on the back burner that I keep making excuses for what? What do I really want to? I want to move. Don't WanNa work on my relationship to. I WANNA start a new career to want to go to school like now's the time you know. Everybody waits 'til January first while January first is here so take time. Think about it and let this be the kick in the butt if you need one to get started because I think when you guys mentioned people have a lot more time now and they can reflect and much more connected and I think this gives people an opportunity to look backwards and say wow. I was kind of scared. I feared for my life and I recognize that. What's really important in? This moment is not what I had chasing or not what I thought and Luhya. Yeah I saw somebody put a facebook post out there a couple of days ago and they said like what are you grateful for? By the time I had read it. There was like thirty five comments and all of them said family one every single one of them since I was the one that said business and stock opportunities but it was. It was number three on the wrist found found. We still number one but won't be a week or self distancing well asking three weeks would work. Yeah you might. You might find toilet. Paper is the most important and it. Even that is an interesting conversation because right now there's certain things that are important but some families aren't used to being together for this long and the that dynamic like the people in abusive relationships now that they're tied into it. How do we have the social network to be able to to support them? And I think that's going to be apparent that we may or may not have it and if we don't have it I think that will change two two uplifting bring us to create this social network so that we can support those people.

"And when did you shit ship from God? This is terrible to this is an opportunity. Was there a defining moment for you or is it just that you have been this positive person that drives all your friends and family nuts because you have this argument of attitude or is there a defining moment where you anyone. WanNa go first. I'll jump in because it was very black and white. I woke up Sunday morning about a week two weeks ago and I realized that Saudi Arabia and Russia started oil war with each other and I'm from Alberta Canada one of the oil capitals of the world and I woke up and the first word I said is not something I can say right now and then the second said was like yes. There's going to be so much pain and so much opportunity. This is ridiculous. I can't believe this through anyone else. I didn't have quite as a process that I referred is in makes us begin that changing all of this and they you know now gatherings and it wasn't until I got the emails for my Kids Sports Segma- Bangle you kids sports. I come home and tell the kids. That's nice board and I said something about Trading exercise doing activities with the kids got a Bush walking intellectual and I thought now is the time to make the best opportunity just to me a bit doing different things with the kids gone bark rotting in the Bush and stuff and yes. If there's so much opportunity why are we worried about this? Let's put some things in place yet. We need to do that. Shit but look it up. Holy Crap this is a chance to do something different. That was sort of a little bit of time but it wasn't until I really impacted me personally. Haw DAMMIT LOWS. I think for me. It was basically Wednesday when most of the bars and restaurants shut down and then we decided to close our store. Thank that was a very difficult. Dark debut left early and I thought what am I gonNA do so for a stayed home for about the first two hours and then it ran out of things to do. Because I'm a person that always needs to be busy and from there. I decided I have to get up. I still have to have a routine. I have to keep learning some taking other now and I just need to be the person that all the plays that I still out. Look forward to and to one little small thing. We started doing this morning in my really good friend to me. She said rate now. Don't think about it. You're sitting semi two pitchers. What makes you happy? And that's what we did and I started it with all my friends. My family. My sister is a nurse in Toronto. One of the biggest hospital. She's the second screener and she sent me some turtles on her desk at her calendar of her kids. But just those little small things if you look around the room you're in for me. It was my two dogs. My husband and I'm not GonNa lie with Peleton happy. It was like everything everybody was here and dogs are still happy having home. My husband hardly ever sees me so I'm just going to enjoy it and I'M GONNA to take it for what it is. You never get a break like this actually enjoy your family or the people that mean the most you jamie. We haven't heard from you know I was perfectly waiting till the end. Because here's Jamie Mr positively that guy that's always there. I did have a moment. I actually had a moment on this last Monday. Here You know. I'm looking for the opportunity. I'm finding it everything's going great and then Monday came around and it was the news. Yes I'm GonNa admit it came from the news my wife Steph. She got reading some stuff out there. I'm like wow you know. We need to do a little bit. Better job of being proactive on supplies that we have here right so it was. You know maybe instead of having to three cans of beans downstairs. We wish to have six right. We weren't looking to do a bunch of hoarding. And for just a moment you know I went that little scarcity I went into that little mindset of Megani. I'm going to take care of myself and I recognize now. We don't need to hoard. We don't need to do anything like that. What I really have to do in this moment is give back. Even more is to be able to look for opportunities for some of these mom and pop shops mic. I saw one of your posts that you put out there. You shared a post about how many businesses. We're going to close because of this and I see this as you know are all of us in. This group are social responsibility to be able to work with other people there to share their business. We don't WanNA see these businesses. Go to business. We don't right. We rely on them every day. Even though we can't necessarily go there and sit down and have that sit down meal. Maybe sometimes once a week twice a week maybe we do need to think about that. Takeout or something along those lines to keep those businesses going to do our part and at the same time everyone else. No I put out a couple posts on social media. I WANNA know who's People's what business they have. I WANNA know if there's a way that I can give back if I can talk about them. Cher what they do share a little bit about their service or whatever it is maybe they come on a show with us. Maybe we start something where we have a show where the panel and we bring some of these businesses on to be able to share their product. Their service whatever. It is to do our part that way to really bring some recognition to them. I don't know but those are the thoughts and that's the ideas that changed me from scarcity. Oh my God I've gotta go stock up to one of optimism to one of finding the opportunity in the moment for me on the eternal voyeur. I liked to sit back and look at people and figure out and it could have been last weekend. My wife were. Tina was on workshops of time by myself to sit in and and being my own thoughts and so many of my friends were scared petrified because they cause I were living Calgary. Alberta and a lot of oil companies are head office in Calgary Alberta and they were scared because they were losing their jobs of personnel. After person after person and all I could think about is how can I support them and I realized all I can be is the calm in the storm and it was that clarity which was part of the impudence to have us get together with. I need to change my thought pattern to be the calm but also being able to say that there is an opportunity in everything in every in every tragedy. There's always an opportunity could be a learning opportunity a development opportunity. But there's always something and it was at that point in time that I realized that this when I changed my thought process and recognize that. This isn't happening to me but rather it's happening for me. It changes when I recognize that. It's happening for me. So how can I do something different? How can I change my thought patterns? How can I get if I'm complained? I now have time if I'm complaining about getting overweight or not eating healthy now is the time when I have the time to to to get now fake to look after myself looking different things looking parts of me that I'm afraid to look at and sometimes that's just a call to Jamie that's all it is isn't it. Yeah I think all those calls. Jamie let me tell you what you serve and that's one of my ways of giving back to because I know there's a lot of people in in there is that scarcity mindset going out there but if I can donate thirty minutes my time I can donate forty five minutes my time to get on a call and make a difference in a person's life. I WANNA do that. I believe for me. I believe I'm a very high altruistic person the diskin values profile and I come out. Altruistic is through the roof. It's about eighty seven. Eighty nine like it's insane. What that means is it. I truly have a passionate desire to help others and see that so when I see people suffering. I just want to give that big hug although I know I'm not allowed to right now in virtual virtual but if it's even just getting on that phone and finding those opportunities in a moment getting one two maybe three tools of how to change what's going on and I can feel good. They can feel good. And that's what's really important to me right. I I I love to give back Hallelujah. Random thoughts that they want to throw in here. Where about forty minutes yes. I can't believe that my entire youth I was alone or close twelve or thirteen and I was ridiculed and ostracised and now it's the cure to kill the virus so this is the answer.

Saw his contract business. We have a bad seventy five employees and also do business. Coaching through awaken business while the business side and and that's where all the small businesses Terada China's M. onset really really don't and business and take advantage of the opportunities out there in the world side on pop to get started and folk metal. They will charities on all guys recent stuff. Hey we will be doing at the moment and we're pretty lucky where we haven't had a touched this yet but economically obviously has say. The last week with all the opportunity. That's going around. It is absolutely unbelievable. And if I'm here to tell people that if you're waiting for the government to save you better waiting you gotTa Save Yourself. It is not going to happen. You're inside your house. Good recording teed. Now's the time to take some time. You're forced to sit at home. You're forced to be at employed. Take this opportunity figure out something else. It is unbelievable. The greatest fortunes in the world were built in the worst times. The point of maximum opportunity is the point of maximum pessimism. And we're almost there. I don't think we're quite there. But we're almost there Hallelujah. Brother everyone on this call ins under the panel here. Is you're preaching to the choir. We are all one hundred percent in that. It's what we do. Is it like every tragedy and it's a travesty here in upon us. What are we going to do and I for me? The first mind ship was is that this is not happening to me. This is happening for me so that I can learn and do it so it's freed up tons of time. I wouldn't normally be able to do this. Call at this time with Jamie but also like life has it. We now have the time. So we're capitalizing. We're getting together and we're working with community and unloving it so thank you all for being on the call and thank you panel for being here. Thank you very definitely key. Today is opportunity right and I think each each of you aren't panel here Bailey mic John. You've got some Opportunities Bailey. I had the opportunity to speak with you a little bit earlier and I'm excited. You shared something really cool with with what you're about to do and I'd love for you to share that here so that you know the entire world the good old. Www world out there that seeing us on social media has an understanding of what your boat to do soap. Share that with us. Please packing small. That came to me this morning because I do have a brick and mortar store and we are small business. We have closed our doors because we didn't WANNA pay humor plays in harm's way around luxury man so unfortunately right now not getting as many sales as we would like so. We did have an order that has shipped out from another local company. Another small business called Cape. Your natural and she started making hand sanitizer and I have forty even arriving on Monday. I already had people that were wanting to buy them but I just decided to give them all for free if you are elderly. You don't bottle on. My husband is religious. It's not super busy right now. Either and we're just GONNA drive around and we're GONNA leave them off people's Square steps and we'd advocate Match more bottles in hand coming in long as it supplies from come across the border from the US. We'll just keep doing it. And I've talked to other small businesses and companies instead. I can't afford to keep buying because I'm still buying not selling it to their now on board if we can get as much as we can and it's kind of like community coming together and showing what we can do. That is amazing. That's what it's all about you taking this opportunity remember. It's all about opportunity and making something amazing out of it. Sure you could do like so. Many others aren't put it on Amazon and market up ten times. But I think that's not the right thing to do people that do that. That are looking to. There's an Elton an offer a second there we've seen people that are looking to make that quick buck and you're doing quite the opposite. You're costing the company some money by bringing this by by having this happened yet at the same time you're making such an impact giving this to those people who need it being able to give it away free number one. How does that make you feel as an entrepreneur as a business owner to be able to do something big and love to hear it makes me feel really good? I rely a hundred percent on our community giving back to APPS for us to be able to open our doors and Pale verse. So there's little small things that we can do. And why Whitney absolutely the best way for people to get a hold you say I am an older person or whatnot and I needed to get some. How can I get a hold that say? Hey you know what I'd I'd love to get all of that. I'd love to be able to use. How can they do that? Avid completely say to me probably either on facebook or instagram. And we're theory harder and if you WANNA get a hold of it that way or you can even find me personally Bailey Tobin and because I don't how many bottles and we'll be picking but I just asked people that don't take it if you don't need it and make sure that there's other people that really do just because of that awesome. That's incredible one of the question. Always still we still got you here on the line with the layoffs and stuff that you've had to do. How did that go? How did it all happen? Maybe how did you come to that decision to take that step well? It wasn't an easy decision because most of us were together for some of us for fifteen years. Some of us were nine and then mostly everybody for three years. So we've Kinda built his family and we we actually are each other family with each other's all families combined together so I wanted to make sure that they were taking care of also that in the end they have a store to come back to so I'd have to reduce their hours and there. Yeah I would be lower than they could possibly get wherever. Just be more money of our savings that would go towards reps so we're just really making sure there's something for the cutback awesome. That's incredible and that does give them that opportunity right away like you said if you were to hold on and scale back the hours when it does come time to review those eae farms. We know that's going to have an effect. We know that's going to impact on you. Guys not step right away and stepping up and doing that. Really really helping him out. Incredible are the ric- down from landowner. Tell US opportunity. What does that mean to you so opportunity for me? That means opportunity the thread odd violent on hand sanitizer. Why because this community businesses shutting down as restaurants is off gone on thinking a little bit differently more customers need. That is that you have to give it to them. You know you supply business and you constantly need toilet. Paper go phone supply get type of pounds of and give it to you to your customers and hand sanitizer the these kinds of things and the dividends. That'll long-term see we'll be it'll change the game you'll business forever when it comes back every body you talks will remember that you help me out in A. Tom Need full free. Asking for money. And impact. Mike on the value of Your Business in the brain. Be Amazing and other things at all to do is any small business industry That needs help. That WanNa talk catching says free. Just gives Cole. Helpful quit smoking. -tunities or innovate. See if his way can help you to try and on reduce Hammy layoffs. You have to make that. We haven't where where probably A multiple cy behind the US. In terms of way we are with where gathering a gathering of more than one hundred people for non essentials. Some small businesses still operation. You know you gotTa Restaurant. They won't be fog people. Instead of fifty all the havoc shot.

"DOT com. That's where I share my personal diesel application process as I figure out ways to keep my own home under control. I sure the truth about cleaning and organizing strategies that actually work in real life purple people people who don't like or love and sometimes they just can't clean and Organiz which I don't think all of that was grammatically correct but whatever that's what I get for changing my little opening thing so this is podcast number two forty seven and I'm going to call it decluttering in uncertain times because that's what we're living in today is March sixteenth of twenty twenty. If you're listening to this in real time you know exactly what I'm talking about when I say uncertain times if you're listening to this in the future you probably know even better than we do right now. What I mean by that this day my podcast comes out on Thursday. The way things have been going in the world right now. I don't know what Thursday is GonNa look like as far as just our everyday life Yeah I can't imagine anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about but the world is bonkers right. Now it's a little bit crazy With the Cova. Nineteen or current a virus or whatever and schools being closed and all that kind of stuff so it is And Certain Times so. I'm going to talk about that today and I'm going to come at it from three. I'm going to have three parts to this. This is going to make it sound like. This is a super organized. Podcast we will see three parts first of all. I'm GonNa talk about my reaction to the current uncertainty. This is the part. Where am I mean I just want to show you? I have not developed a potty mouth or anything like that but if you listen with your kids which I know a lot of you do and this is something that you're trying to kind of control this narrative or whatever in in your world You might want to skip this part. Because I'm going to be really honest about just some of the My reactions and how they relate to clutter in decluttering and stuff like that and I feel like it's important to talk about because I get emails from people all the time like literally every day pretty much just saying oh my goodness your thoughts. Your reactions are my reactions so I think it's important to talk about this because there are probably some of you not all of you who've had similar reactions so I'm also GonNa talk after that about the benefits that I experiencing currently because of decluttering that I've done in the past which then reminding myself of those sayings helps me break through some of the weird reactions that I'm having and then ways to approach cluttering if you're finding yourself paralyzed by the current situation. So yeah that's what we're going to talk about today. Okay you ready. I've even know your warning here. We go. I'm talking about my reactions so just to be completely honest. I've been more panicky feeling than I would have thought that I would be. I'm kind of I don't know I don't know if I can say I'm kind of because of what I'm going through right now but you know I generally am a win. Things are in upheaval. I'm kind of the person who's like all right then. Let's do this this this and this you know like it kind of drives my husband crazy. Because that's when my major takeover take charge mentality comes in as when things are bananas you know like and I that's I I think of my theater background and stuff. It's like things fall apart. Whatever you have to fix it immediately. There's no like okay. Well let's stop and have a meeting in the middle of a play when somebody's skirt fell off or whatever. I don't know anyway. I like that's just kind of my where I've always felt was my wheelhouse so I'm a little bit surprised by my Kind of my panicky feelings over all of this And when you know because decluttering is my job somehow some way this has happened in my life I think about it a lot. I think about you guys. I think about what my role is. And this is your listening to my podcast and things like that and so I was a little surprised that with Kind of the stuff going on that. I was like my first reaction was. I wonder if you know with people being home if be similar to that. We between Christmas and new years when people are home. And everybody's decluttering and I was like I wonder if it'll be like that. You know how I need to be ready for that. But then I had this reaction of unwanted declutter I wanNA hold onto everything and I was like okay. Well I know that's not a good way to be. So why in the world am I feeling this way? Well I feel like I've talked very openly in the past about an in my books in my blog posts. A lot of you have read from the very beginning of the blog. Which if you've got nothing else to do right now. This might be time for you to go do that. You can go to a SLOB COMES CLEAN DOT COM and. I believe it's under get started or new here or something like that at the top If you're on mobile click on the little three line thing and it'll pop up the categories or whatever and it'll show you can you know see there how to read backwards from the very beginning because I think it's important to know that process that I've gone through and as part of that process? I've always been very honest about the things that would go through my head especially in the beginning when I was decluttering and this was something that was I mean. I had to do because of all the years. I've been collecting things and one of my things I've realized is that a lot of my collecting of staff was for these possibilities in the future. You know like won't I be glad if such and such ever happened or if the world ran out of advil wouldn't I be glad that I had kept this expired advil and I mean like we're things even though I'm whatever even though I've come to the point where I've realized I don't think I would take it anyway if it's that far expired in so you know it's been a process of me letting go of lot of this and I think some of that. Some of my stuff collecting was like a hero complex. I was the person I talked about this in how to manage your home without losing your mind. My first book that I was the person that when my church needed cowboy boots to decorate for a vacation. Bible school I was like well. I've got fifty seven pairs. You know and it's kind of a long story and it has to do with because I used to buy them to put on Ebay but anyway that he wrote thing is part of why I had so much. Clutter now. I'm kind of in a time where you go kato. I need to step up and be a hero. I don't and I'm like what have I gotten rid of over the past ten years that we might desperately need as the world. Is You know who I'm not trying to be. You know alarmist or anything like that my goodness I know there's so many different ways to react to this. I'm just being honest with the thoughts that have gone through my head. Like when I thought about decluttering I thought wait. I may have gotten rid of some stuff in the past that we may need and then I started to doubt myself and I starting in this is not like a. Oh my goodness here. I am telling you guys this okay. Opportunity like this was going to be organized. It's not I'm just trying to be honest with you all say that these are the things that have gone through my head. Okay I found myself when I thought of decluttering feeling paralyzed thinking. We should probably just keep everything for right now. This is probably not the time for us to be getting rid of things because who knows what we're going to need you know if the grocery stores which I think they're going to stay open but you know what I mean like what. What if what if what if what if and it just made me feel like. Maybe I shouldn't declutter right now. But then as I move into the next section of this podcast where I'm hopefully not being quite as neurotic. I had to remind myself of the things that I'm so thankful for. That are results of decluttering over the past ten years. Okay so I have been doing this for getting close to eleven years now and I've made huge progress on my home at part of that is realizing that decluttering will always be a thing for me. There will never be a time where. My house is completely d cluttered. There's not a time for anybody. The reason people's houses stay cluttered is because they keep decluttering anyway. But I've had to realize that I tend to collect more stuff than the average person I tend to have bigger decluttering projects than the average person But reminding myself of the good that my family has experienced from decluttering helps. Calm me down and go okay. That's not rational. Dana for me to have this hero complex which results in me just not doing anything because the paralysis is not good decluttering. Paralysis is real. And it's never a good thing. Okay so if I choose to keep something for a rational reason great but if I just won't even look and can't even deal and just turn away that's not a good thing that's decluttering paralysis. And if I just leave it and don't even look at it then. I don't even know what we have just in case we do need it. You know what I mean and so there's GonNa be stuff in that pile that I'm ignoring that. Even if we didn't need it I would note. Was there and then we would be without in a situation where we might need it. Blah Blah Blah. You know what I mean right. Okay so reminding myself of the positive results of the decluttering work. That I've done helped me through the situation okay. Now if you're thinking why haven't maybe you're at the very beginning. Maybe you just found the podcast. Maybe you just realize there other people out there like you. My goal is to let you enjoy the advantages of the things that I figured out over the years. Okay so here we go things. I'm glad for my house is ten thousand times now. That might be an exaggeration. Except that it's what it feels like ten thousand times more livable than it when I started this whole these lap affiliation process. Okay and I'm really thankful for that right now because we as a family of five adult sized people K. I don't have any little kids anymore. We are adult sized people. And we're living in it. Twenty four seven together and pay so that fact. I just have to remind myself wait. This would have been a lot harder if I had not done. All that decluttering. We have space to relax. I don't I mean I can go into my living room and enjoy a movie with my family which were just. I would love to hear y'all's movies suggestions for whole families especially with teenagers because we're just watching a movie every night so thankful for digital stuff but I mean really. We're just watching a movie every night and I can go in there and I can relax with my family and I'm not seeing clutter because we've declared those spaces and you know yeah. There's still some spaces that need to be declared but guess what my house is a thousand ten thousand times more livable and living in it and so this time period is easier because of the stuff that we have done the decluttering that we've done over the last ten years. I am ten thousand times again. An estimation more aware realistically of what we actually have in our house. That is the thing that is like the catch twenty two of not decluttering because I am worried about getting rid of something that we might end up needing of just not decluttering okay of like not even starting because I think while I don't we're probably GonNa need everything I'm just not going to do. The catch twenty two is when I would be paralyzed and just leave the pile. I didn't know what we had in. Our House wasn't in my consciousness in my awareness but just the fact that I have gone through and then gone through again these spaces in my home. These storage spaces where I put all these useful things..

"Don't just have constant background shouting going on if you want to have a calm peaceful life you've got to create the daily habits that lead to that and some other consumer loves. Put it all out there. Like this reframing. If you can't find the opportunity in this which I'm public giddy gleeful that I am not able to or have to jump into an airplane into a lot of kids right now I am practicing re framing and a great way to reframe. Put the word. Fortunately in front of everything that's happening to you. Fortunately I'm being sent home and then finish that sentence line is it works. Not only my kids. Don't have school and I get to be with them for the next two weeks way and if you can leave. The suffering of others relieved their suffering. We've got a lot of students who needed some of other colleges. You've extra room in your basement. Do you host doing offer. Free Storage for those folks. Take this mandatory timeout. Which is the one place most people at least when your kid get that great Lunch every day really put out some love for those folks that are making hard decisions that are outs in our law enforcement and Oliver other support sectors and just really commend them for stepping up and finding new ways publicly advocate. If you'RE GONNA be online get out there and publicly advocates rather than just getting silence when you see somebody stepping up and getting slammed online publicly advocate and request other people give Grace Mercy and really acknowledges people exhibiting courage you guys. We've got some things to be concerned about. But we decide we decide what this actually does to us into our economy and we the side that whether or not we have this be life threatening or like altering emotionally. We may not decide physically but we do decide emotionally in. So I don't whether it's worth I just some sitting here and thinking about so many of you especially my. Hr folks in my leaders that are out there having to make tough decisions. And I'm hoping that as you make decisions you give yourself a lot of grace. Who are doing the best you can with what you got. We can't know the future but even a decision a good one has a lot of arrests. And what all these decision-makers scene from the rest of us is a lot of support a lot of mitigation of the risk at the local level in. So do what you can with what you can and just remember at the end of the day love wins the great practice time and be there for each other and just know that my team at rarely base leadership were there for you. So we're going to keep trying to put out some good contents and keep you in our thoughts and prayers and I think this is happening at the right time for many perfect reasons. So we're going to get really good at delivering things. Virtually we're going to get good at mindfully connecting and intentionally reaching out and really figuring out how we can move forward in the world that maybe is changing rapidly. So be well. "uncertain times" Discussed on No Ego

"This is the no ego podcasts where we did the drama and entitlement and transform your World Place Wakeman. Everybody say away in here. I have my cell phone a bit of a self quarantine for reasons other than Kobe. Nineteen but I wanted to reach out and just off her some support all of you facing this pandemic whether it's in the states around the world and so just reminds you that you have a lot of the tools and philosophies you need to move through this situation skilfully and peacefully so I would just offer what I could to help and mostly just reach out and opera assurance that a together. We've got this. We can figure this out. I know lots of people are being uploaded and sent home and having to work in different ways and also working at home with kids and school being let out and plans being canceled and all those things that are ego really doesn't like it really gets US unsettled. And so I want you to be using your reality based tools harder and heavier than ever before this is really the time you get some good practice also experienced the benefits so just want to give you my opinion for what worth and I would tell you that one thing to remember what the world needs now is love sweet love so as you move through the world's make sure that you're leading with love and compassion for other people and for yourself because I believe that the antidote to fear is really love. The Ego just doesn't expect compassion and calming and acceptance and connection the Eagles Relief Driving Division and blame and panic and fear and we have a lot of fear right now so one thing to remember is the daughter of fear isn't always just fax is love first and then facts and so whenever you doing. Just make sure your responses a loving one. Just slow down in ten to the person I in front of you. I think it was Mother Teresa. That said something like every act every deed is an active love or a cry for love and the only appropriate response is a loving one. I think we can add a lot. Those of us that are trying to evolve and move beyond ego in this whole a way that we response. The whole love factor. So you'RE GONNA get a lot of practice moving out of fear and out of judgment and it really is judgment. That is the behavior that relieves fear. Because if we don't know what's going on at least we know who's to blame. We're halfway there so I really want you to be mindful of all the ways that you can stop judging insert helping and if you don't think you're judging. I really just wanting to know this with compassion. Observe yourself at all. The ways you're reacting. We're making judgments out there about with. People are overreacting under acting. We're making judgments about decisions. People are making whether people are reacting how I prefer or making decisions how we prefer they sending this home soon enough to early or the canceling events they should keep. There is a lot of people that have moved towards opinions not necessarily based on the expertise but lots of judging and my hope is. Is that as every new decision? That's made sometimes for you pumps into your life that you'll notice how you respond to that and get really good with neutral the minute you now have the features. Go PLAY ALBUM. This is a dumb idea and it would have been better to do. Xyz I want you to notice that you might not know the future and finds the place where you can do is being asked of you joyfully and hopefully and really move beyond judgment and go one step further not just not judging and helping but can you find kindness and mercy for those leaders that are faced with these super tough decisions. That are trying to be responsible. They're airing on the side of caution and just get a mercy because we're so quick to judge. Oh they're panicking. Your oldest is ridiculous or that person's overreacting. What if we just notice where the person was? And if it was a decision given mercy if it was a reaction bigger than what we prefer to really just see to that behavior and see it as fear. Can we really give people the best for the doubt shoes? Generous Hearts Generous is generous ears and really move into giving a situation. What's the most helpful thing I can do right now? What's the opportunity? Ms To capitalize on it for the better of all and in what I'm about to do is it and does it help or does it hinder. Does it add value or would my actions to just take the information be informed? Go make the best of it help right now so I really want you to use this time as a noticing of how opinionated you are put to judgment you are how much time and energy use spent fuelling drama rather than diffusing it. And here's a few tips given reality today and what you. I remember. Fear F. E. A. R. is false events appearing. Real fear is false events appearing real. We have some facts and some great advice from the scientists and medical folks in our world. The people that are involved in community health and relation health. We have some great resources. Pay attention to what the facts are and to really be careful about how you might be breeding fear because so far we do have people physically suffering from a virus that's spreading. That number is not near. The number of people suffering emotionally from the fear. That's spreading in. So I really think as leaders today whether it's in your family or your organization that we really need to help people move beyond fear. And how can you do that? Swirl remembering that are. Stressed comes from the story not to reality industries what we make up so definitely take precautions and do all. The things people are asking you to do socially distance. Wash your hands. Really move away from resisting. What people are asking you to do which is so basic? Go home work from home. Without the story of the virus all of us would be like. We could work from home for two weeks. This is amazing but with the story of the virus. It's not so amazing so you have a lot more to control about your experience. Then you think you'd do personally for me. I'm out of the country and using this to recruit in a lot of other ways but I would tell you. My response was different because I'm not inundated with the news and I'm not in the moment and only getting periodic updates and making decisions and I noticed that so much of my state of contentment. Today is not based on my reality being very different from yours but it is based on. How Much News? I'm consuming and how how keeping my environment how hygienic. I'm keeping the inputs that cure raving that. I'm living in denial or positive thinking. I'm taking precautions. But it's really controlling what I can control. So edit those stories really take a look at how could be happening for our highest good. I personally feel like the universe gave us a big time out and said everybody go home. We're going to take time out and you can go to that time out putting or you can go through that time out reflecting and doing some things that are really great premium so I stop judging. Don't judge people they'll be acting. You can't see the future. You can't know their world you can't not level of the started with it will just increase the drama and the emotion. Britain started the calming force instead of judging or adding to the overreaction. Just respond with compassion. Gosh Dang it seems like this is scary for you. Just want to let you now. I'm willing to be here for you. I just WanNa let you know that. Here's what I think we can do together to make this different and calming force to the situation. Really tense of people emotionally intense. Your own emotions so useless time we split. I'm doing I'll speak for myself. I'm using this time to connect with myself. I WANNA use this time away from a typical business to see what I'm using that business to avoid. Because one of the best ways we numb from all of the information we get in our lives is business so if your isolated or quarantines self or not self imposed you might use that time to connect with yourself and in order to do that you've got to search out solitude or at least quietude turn the news off don't just get lost in online inner actions. Don't just have noise going for the sake of noise. Don't add to the fancy one. If you carved out some solitude and quiet sued and how can you get silent? How can you get? We -flective is listening to music because reading poetry to yourself out loud journalism you can go out into nature. It's not contaminated. I've been doing a lot of time spent on the beach and really going within. How often do we get a nice time out to do that? But be careful of isolation because for many of us a big part of our moving through the world's scuffling and peacefully is connection with others. So some of you have people in in your presence at a close quarters. Do right by them to cuddle op. Connect and a great way to connect folks if you're the U dominant person. The house like you're the oldest appearance. Stop trying to impose your world on others in. Maybe a suggestion go other people's worlds instead of the game off. Cumby with us. What if you went and learned to play the game with your kid instead of? We're GONNA listen to that now your music. What if you said place for me your top three favorite songs and talk to me about why they're your favorite a great way to connect to go into people's worlds also think about the people that rely on connection whether it's people in in our lives that isolation at times is dangerous for maybe? There's someone who is working with the challenge of an addiction and can't to meetings maybe it's somebody because of their age can't get out to their berry events maybe two or three week. They really looked forward to so think of others chuckling. Your people and safety can virtually connect with them. If there's some way to drop off make sure they have what they need in connect with your higher self not just with yourself but really observe and notice how you are responding to the world how you re acting notice what frustrates you. What being inferior fuel slake versus being in faith or reality? Notice your tendency. Maybe to demonized victims are dehumanized them as Brennan Brown talks about easy. It is to blame somebody for giving a disease. They didn't even earn an illness inserted that they didn't even know the possibility and that we really don't have that much control over notice. How often when something bad happens to somebody? We attribute it to something maybe did. Which is your privilege showing up rather than something. Maybe that happened to them. I have a good friends and he is reminded me when when I would think you're gosh. Can't they do something you would be like Si- but for the grace of God go I and that was my remembering that most of what I have my life and most what happens to my life has a lot to do with grace when I'm spirit or not spared in that I really need to move through with that level of humility. Turn off the news you guys curate your life you for the first time in a long time have total control over what comes into your presence and so choose carefully. Get UPDATES but make them on your timetable. Your choice go to good sources..
