"Night, Madonna made a surprise appearance to open the show. The audience was so shocked They all got out their phones and looked her up on Wikipedia. I know they're young. I know. Yeah, That's a decent point from Seth Meyers. Now I didn't see the video music awards. That's not exactly my my thing. But, um, Madonna's heyday was 30 years ago, 30 to 40 years ago. Um, yeah, I think she had that half life of the superstar for quite some time. Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah, no doubt about it. But 3rd 3rd. She's a legend and all that sort of, But she's kind of like a Tony Bennett character for that generation Now, isn't she? Well, at least Tony Bennett has the decency to cover his ass, which I appreciate. I'm glad Tony Bennett doesn't come out showing his septic generi in cheeks. Indeed, among things we should mention. Maybe we'll get into this further later. Iran, according to the New York Times, is within roughly a month of having enough material to fuel a single nuclear weapon. The country has not been this close to a weapon capability since before President Obama agreed to the 2015 nuclear accord, so Iran's about a month out from being able to build a nuclear weapon, or at least have enough material to build a nuclear weapon. We think, Oh, great. Meanwhile, in Asia, the artist formerly known as fat Head, or I should, say the dictator formerly known as fat Head Kim Jong un I'm I'm given the boy credit for the work he's done. He's looking very sweet. Lost a bunch of weight. If you haven't seen it, he's he's dropped. They think, at least £100. Mhm Keto Keto just eating the flesh of dissidents. It works anyway, so he's just tested a medium raging I C B m or something like that so that everybody's jumping ugly. Yeah, Yeah. Fantastic world keeps getting more interesting. Yep. Um This just came across my desk that Alex dug up. So part of the new tax proposal from the Democrats. If you add this all together, the highest tax areas of the country would be now this is for the highest earners, okay? So, uh, A lot of you might think. What do I care if those people pay higher taxes? Um The problem, of course, is That, uh, if If only it small slice of America is footing the bill for things then All kinds of things get done. That might not be good for the country and nobody else cares about this stuff, and that that's really the problem. Nobody not enough people have skin in the game. Ah, top earning New Yorkers will face a 61.2% combined tax under the New House plan, 61.2%. Now yesterday in New York, and I hate to even mention this because I am not fascinated with everything that happens in New York. And I'm certainly not fascinated with what the rich and powerful do in New York, but they had their stupid met gala that I only hear about every year because super famous important people go and where expensive clothes AOC showed up in a very tight fitting and form fitting dress that said, tax the rich on it. It was written on on her dress tax. The rich This is at a $30,000 a ticket to get together with the richest people in America, which is kind of funny. But, um, for those of you who are in the tax the rich crowd and you know the whole When are they going to pay their fair share? What is the fair share? What I've just always wanted to hear. What do you think the number is? What? What? What? What is the right number? It's higher than 61.2%. Or higher than what Californians will face a 59.7% tax rate. Almost 60% of your income. Wow, that is something. Yeah, And it says small number. But gathered in the Democrats through the years have done a brilliant job like you're describing of narrowing tax base, so there aren't enough votes to overturn the spending That's happening. Which our in the show, do. We have Larry Elder on the program, Hansen whisper in my ear. Third hour. He was percent. Okay, actually, whispers whispered. Kind of like Gavin Newsom. Third hour. Um, yeah, we'll talk to Larry Elder, who's running for governor in California. If Gavin Newsom gets recalled, Larry Elder will most likely be the person who ends up being the governor. What's your prediction for today? Yeah, You can't make me How come I did come across some great analysis of why the Republican Party is in the streets. It's in in California. And what that means, which I can share with you a little bit later, okay? I don't know. I just just like you're predicting that my favorite team is going to get heinie waxed. I just I take no pleasure in it. I take no joy. I don't love the chances of those of us who want to boot greasy Gavin out of office. Creepy, creepy Gavin Newsom. Jumping about with the president yesterday, getting all you know, world class politician E with his sexy wife who takes bribes from PG and it was all very disgusting. Yeah, the one thing I want to say, Larry Elder when we have them on letters. Congratulations. Apparently you made the Democrats nervous. I mean, if they sent out Kamala Harris and President Biden And all the other people that they sent out. They must must think it's a real battle. Something need to be concerned about. Some of the messaging has been hilarious, saying Larry Elder is just a trump clone. This is all about Trump. Gavin Newsom is running against Trump, which is really kind of interesting. Yeah. The whole what a black face of white supremacy thing did not get near enough attention. The L A times stating that that did not get near enough attention of it shouldn't be. Shouldn't people dig down on that? Should there be like a national conversation? Whether that's a thing or not? The L. A Times editorial board called Larry Elder Uncle Tom, Let's just be honest about it. The absolutely accused him of stepping outside the required the obligatory thoughts of black people, which are approved by the L A times and accused him of being a. You know, there's an old expression for that even harsher, and Uncle Tom, which I will not use. But it's awful. It's an awful thing to say about a human being, particularly one is bright, capable and accomplished..

"Okay, So, um, last night as soon as the MTV EMAs opened up, and it was Madonna in the taxi cab, we had seen the photos of her filming that last week. You know, in the middle of the night in Times Square, and I'm like, okay, this is the opening Madonna is going to do and she she They do that pre shaped thing, and then she comes through the screen, and I mean it's I did not realize that it's been 40 years since MTV premiered I didn't realize that this was the big 40 birth night. Um Madonna walks out, and she is the very first person to open up the show in a Burberry trench coat. Yes, and she brought a special surprise. Get with her that ended up up staging her appearance, and that would be her fishnet wrapped. But implants that we've known about for about two or three years, two years, two years old June 2019 she performed. She had black jeans on and we saw We thought it was at first. We just said she'd padded but put a pillow or put a pillow. It was so strange. We were Shocked and we did research. I mean, don't you remember this is wrong? What's going on? What is going on with her butt and her one Her plus one her booty. Madonna, Don Kadak completely upstaged her appearance. So she walks out and she's in like a leather bustier and high cut. Um like black leather. Yeah. It looked like a housekeeping uniform for a biker s and M hotel. So it was like, kind of a little apron. Yeah, I did have a funny little apron or you're right, right? And it's sassy and sexy and type but all leg high heels. And then she says Hello. Welcome to the 40th anniversary. Nervous very because she had to read Peter Lyons. She did seem very nervous, but her boobs were so Tight lipped bound. I mean, that's what a good course it does. It looks like they were right underneath her chin. And then she turns around. I could tell before she turned around, we could see this sides. Of the implants. She has an intent. She does where your hips would be. And and when she turned, I had to back. I had to watch it like four times. I did take a picture. Have you people got the screenshot of it? The side you can see were the but Are they They're not chicken cutlets size pretty pretty big, Pretty big. I mean, she now has like an and listen. Here's the thing she I mean, they look like two small planets orbiting their lower back is what they look like. It was natural because there's no Way to go into the diarrhea. It's just round and then a leg and she doesn't care what anyone thinks about her. But situation she's been showing her booty for years and a couple years ago, when we noticed that she had done something back there were going crazy. We're going crazy, and she had posted something. Saying that you know, she doesn't really care about our opinion and blah, blah. But, um, I don't know if Madonna was nervous because she had explained to the Children in the audience that Mm. MTV VMAs MTV is 40 years old. The VMAs are 40 years old. She's first person to win 20 awards, and she's old enough to be any of the young peoples, you know. Their grandmother, You know, and I don't know She has some people for, you know, just watching you heard Grandmother and, uh, I mean, that is a tanker truck. Of an implant booty, and there is someone who had an implant would tell us what it feels like to sit. That's the thing that I keep thinking. Maybe it's comfortable. Well, you've always got a pillow, but I don't know how that would feel against. It's just like hands, hands or something hard. Like if you're sitting on a bench or something I have you ever felt they probably feel very much like a breast implants. I suppose. And I felt my sisters breast implants and they feel they felt they feel real nice. Yeah, it just the difference between having them and sitting on them. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, I know. You know, I just think that is just something. Oh, gosh. But Madonna, you know she's staying fresh as far as, uh, you know, doing a lot of things for herself, and I don't think that she really cared. What anyone Separate. I was surprise she was going to show that she showed us because it was so clearly. Implants, right? I'm doing getting challenged plastic surgery for years ever forever. I'm just doing a little show until here, Grant if you can see it, Yeah, he doesn't make very many public appearances anymore. Well, it's mostly through social media, but yeah, Yeah, it was just people were stunned and it immediately. Social media went crazy, And that's really the big headline of last night is Madonna's, but Madonna's but Danka Danka, My doctor comes out Granted, you find that attractive? No, I was telling her earlier. It looks like you know how like the smiley cheek on the bottom of the butt cheek when a natural but just kind of goes towards the end of the, But hers like you said, goes all the way up to the hip bone, and it looks like there's just It doesn't look, I know that it's not natural, but I can feel you feel like I look a little more natural than hers. Did no kidding. You think Madonna could afford a perfect ass of life? Exactly. Gotta but of lies the way Khloe Kardashian has a but of life because Chloe has the butt implant pads. We got to show that picture to Dr Crutchfield. I know it, Right? Okay, so anyway, so she kicked it off. Um, it was I mean, I would just say, you know, she put the M into MTV back and, uh, I mean in the inaugural show in 1984. She did like a virgin, you know, riding across floor iconic appearance it through the wilderness as she's doing the like Army Crawl. Yeah, True. And then And then she did her Marie Antoinette moment at the 1990 v. Emma when she turned vogue. And it was so fine that was so fun and then in 2000 and three, which form with Britney and Christina Gilera and lovingly gave a kiss to Brittany and just Barely kissed. You wish you would have. I think it would have been more fun if she performed..

"Quintessential 19 eighties band there, Pretty boy looks made them the stars of fledgling MTV, but it was there. Brilliant musicianship, and they were good musicians that led to a string of number one hit. By the end of the decade, they had sold 60 million albums. Today they've sold more than 100 million albums and counting. Joining us on the cocoa who's live line, Stephen Davis. Good morning, Stephen. Morning. How are you were good. You know, this is right in our wheelhouse. I mean, this is when Madonna and I grew up right? Duran Duran was like the soundtrack of our our youth. You know, junior high in high school. Um okay. Good. That's what this book is about, guys, because it was the story of five English teenagers. You know, Nick Rhodes was 16 17 years old. The oldest guy in the band was 20. And they have this incredible. Dream of being the biggest band in the world within a few years, and they made it happen. And so that's what this book is about. Please, please tell me now, so let's go Teenage teenage dreams coming true. They did come true. And let's go back to how did this group catch lightning in a bottle? I mean, was it was, Was it timing was most of an MTV. Here's what happened. These these these guys We're really the first video bans. And, um, what does this mean? Meant that in the early eighties, um there was this lurid new look big closed big hair. Big everything. Duran Duran came on the air doing songs like Girls on film and They were wearing. So much makeup that that they made David Bowie look like leave on helm. It's completely Revolutionised the way do bands were portrayed and we're seeing because before MTV If you like the band you had to go see them just to find out what they looked like and what their spell was. But with MTV, you could see Duran Duran every hour. 24 7 for for years and That was very revolutionary and and they paved the way for The big 80 stores that came after them. Bruce the Prince. Um, Madonna, you know Van Halen. Um Duran Duran led the way through all for all of this, and there's all these people still dominated Rock and roll culture today. So how did they handle their fame when it happened? Well, it was difficult because again there were these very young kids. Um, by 1985. They all hated each other. Um, because they've been on the road. They were exhausted. Uh, that summer, which was 36 years ago. Next month, they played headline Famous live aid concert in Philadelphia for for Ethiopian stamen relief and and The reason that they headlined was because they had the number one record in America, which was the James Bond scene view to a kill and so and Led Zeppelin ended up opening for Duran Duran that day, but I know that just hurts me at the Rolling Stones Open for Ran her in and then surrender. It immediately broke up. They didn't play together for 18 years and then in 2000 and 3 2000, and before they were all broke, and they decided to get back together again. Which is when they called me. Because I had written a book with Aerosmith called Walk this way, which is a banned biography. People and I went over to London. I started interviewing them on tape and hanging out with them. And what impressed me most was how what a great live band that they are, and still are. Actually they weren't you know, they just went out there and killed the musicianship was incredible. But Hang on, Hang on a second. Did you say they were broke? Nick Rhodes lost his house in London. They were all dead broke. Everyone is Nick Rhodes said. And he says in this book, he said, everyone was broke. At the end of the nineties. Everyone had to get together because they were kids. They didn't know. You know. They spent every penny. They got on on cars and houses and houses in France. So it had to get they they had to get together again. So they reunited in 19 in 2000 and four They called me. We tried to get this book off the ground, but it didn't work. But a few years later, I found the tapes that I had made with them, and it's them telling when I listen to the tapes. You could hear them, you know, pouring out their souls to the microphone about about how they were These young kids. Who follow their dreams and became the biggest man in the world. And I thought to myself, you know, there is a there's a good book, you know? Oh, yeah. And 40 years, you know, they, uh, surrendering has tried everything to stay correct. They started out as a synthesizer bend. Moved to the dance floor. And they were a disco band for well that didn't work. They were a rock band. They were an alternative bend. Then they there was hip hop. They tried acoustic, you know, unplug the DJ Timberlands. They would do anything. Durant Durant to stay relevant, and they're still doing it. I mean, that was a new record of they have an album coming out of the fall. So I thought it was the perfect time to, you know to actually tell this story since No. One Has done it before. So this book is the first complete Iran Durand biography, and it tells the story behind every song behind every video, Amazing photographs really lured. Um, with hot hot photo sections, at least because they're all still pretty good looking guys, I think. Well, I I pre ordered it. It just popped up on my kindle. So I know how I'm going to spend my next couple of days in my weekend reading this Stephen Davis, the book is Please Please tell me now and thank you so much. Very interesting. Yeah. Thanks, Stephen. Thank you. Well to be on your air. Thank you so much for having me. Alright. There are at least 99 reasons to love Toto Founder Steve Lukather. Definitely one of them. So on the topic of vaccines yesterday on my afternoon showing of 9 50 KPRC had a guy home by the name of Dave Johnson. He has written Several best selling books on the health care industry. No, he's not a doctor, but he has a lot of information and shared a lot of information with us about vaccines and how old this stuff worked. Let's start with this because we already have talked a little bit about the supply chain. And logistics. Here's what he told me yesterday about the logistics of dispensing this vaccine. Well, well, I do have some concerns the logistics involved that this are remarkably challenging. Um, two shots. You gotta track those. You gotta get the right people, um, refrigeration requirements for, um, for the fighter vaccine, the first one that's going to be available. Need to be at minus 70 degrees below 0 C. So that Z that's colder than Antarctica. You need dry ice to do that. So the logistics are challenging. I the administration, um has had a nar me literally an army of people working on doing this on duh. I think they're going to get it figured out, but it doesn't mean there won't be some hiccups here in there, okay? And there probably will be some hiccups here in there. And he had more to say, by the way on the topic of logistics should know the U. S. Has negotiated to acquire 800 million doses from various manufacturers that are going through the process right now, so it's going to start person foremost with frontline health care workers, but it will it will fill in pretty quickly as these other vaccines. Demonstrate their efficacy and then come to market. They're already all manufacturing. So you know the scope of this initiative to get vaccines worldwide covert 19 vaccines worldwide. Is almost unprecedented in human history. How quickly it's come together how massive the distribution is and the logistics involved. But you know, when people get organized, they can achieve great things. All right, But so far we've got two right. We've got visor. We got murder. Now There's several other companies that are working on there. So we are going to have more and one of the things that I've always wondered about. And I never asked anybody before. Who really knew. But Dave Johnson did know what is the difference between Fizer, Madonna and these other companies? Vaccines? Those vaccines are very similar. But your question is a neck salon, Jimmy. There are 400 vaccines in development now worldwide, and they have five different broad categories. Um Madonna and fives or, UM, are using are in a material. So it's almost like the body software and unlike a typical vaccine, which is a watered down version of the virus, That you put into your body to build antibodies. This actually uses the army like software to create Thea any bodies without without side effects, and it's an entirely new way of doing vaccines. It's it's a remarkable scientific accomplishment. The other types so you've got are in a vaccine. Edna Vaccines You got the traditional method, which I just talked about. There's another one that uses proteins, which is is also remarkably promising and new and then another one that uses synthetics so all of these air going going on simultaneously. The RNA ones are coming to market so quickly because there it's really like a Zeiss a software you they can design and test them and in computers. Man. I love having a guest that raises my I Q. I feel so much smarter after having talked to him 5 26 Now here on NewsRadio, 7 40.

"Here's DPH, director doctor and Josias Ikea in the last 24 hours or for 85,000 tests have been reported for a total of 10.6 million tests performed in Illinois 9757 individuals were newly diagnosed with covert 19. For a total of 748,603 total individuals in the state of Illinois diagnosed with covert 19, Unfortunately, is the governor mentioned 238 lives where reported lost to I d ph. In the last 24 hours for a total of 12,639 deaths in the hospital's overnight across our state, 5764 were in beds with covert 19 and of those 1190. We're in the ICU, and of those 714 were on ventilators. Now, the C D. C this week issued new guidelines for quarantine for those who've come in contact with the coronavirus limiting it now to seven days, Dr. Aziz zk was asked about that. There's a phrase, I guess. Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good and I think that's the goal here and trying to adjust these guidelines. We do know that there are people that may Exhibit symptoms, maybe from date 10 to 14. But I've always said that the majority, which is why we encourage people to test after high risk exposure to test a day seven because the majority of infections are detected, then So if you stop quarantine and again if we read the guidance carefully, it says, you know, stop. You can stop quarantine a 10 days. Um, but you're encouraged to still, you know, obviously take all the prudent measures. You know, for the remaining 14 days, and so you still wanna, you know, continue to keep your distance, continue to wear masks to all those great things. But the amount of infection that could happen in that 10 to 14 days again, With more data collected over the length of this pandemic, they see that it's maybe 1% up to 10%. So, yeah, we're foregoing the possibility of missing a few infections but thinking that maybe when you don't say 14 days, and if you say 10 days or you use the test out option with seven days You'll have more adherents. And so maybe overall, we're still going to be further ahead because more people were actually comply. So that's I think where we add Governor Pritzker was at the event as well. He was asked today if he's worried that people might be a little wary of going through and taking the vaccine. Sure, but I I wouldn't want to jump ahead of somebody who may be more risk than I am. But absolutely I I understand exactly the point that's being made. There are competing views. There's some people who want their communities to be moved to the front of the line, and some people from those same communities would say. They don't want to take the virus at all the vaccine it all rather and so, you know, we're listening to the medical ethicists. We're listening to the epidemiologists to make sure that we're providing the vaccine, making it available to everybody that wants to have it as fast as we humanly possibly can. And, of course, messaging. Two people will be very important. I'm not a doctor. I didn't review the materials that the FDA is reviewing. Now on won't be responsible for making the decisions that the FDA will make about the E away for Fizer, the away emergency use authorization. For, um Madonna and others. But I do know that their tens of thousands of patients who are in their trials and so the results of those very widespread trials. Will be important to look at to determine whether or not these vaccines are safe. I you know, feel somewhat confident that the quality of the people who serve on the panels At the FDA eyes such that they would make the right kind of decision for the American people. And here in Illinois, Of course, we have a vaccine advisory team that will be reviewing that very same data. Right after it is released the White House coronavirus task Force and my dad, I had a meeting that I was that all the governors were part of just two days ago and director the head of the FDA, Han Said that all of the materials will be made available to all of us to review So I do believe that it will be safe. We'll be able to review the data to confirm that and I hope that people will Will therefore get the vaccine as they are able to see that it's safe. There were complaints of some companies price gouging in the wake of the pandemic in the governor was asked if there's any update on that. We refer item certainly. To the attorney general as we're aware of them, but the public that the purchasers, for example, go to the attorney general, the attorney general of the state police, as well as federal authorities are responsible for investigating anybody who is Price gouging in the process. In the currents of this pandemic, it is true there. No doubt there were peopie items that were sold at a much higher price than normally. I will say that early on. I think this was happening really all over the country because there really was a shortage, and there are many brokers that sit in between the manufacturers and people who are purchasing like states. Had we had a DP A invoked the Defense production act by the president. Had we had the manufacturers working and sending directly PPE to the states. We would have been much better off, but yes, it will be. It is up to the enforcement authorities, particularly the Eiji, the state police and the federal authorities. To go after those price gougers. The governor, then you know we were talking earlier today about Speaker Madigan's future and the Legislature meeting in January, the governor was asked if there will be virtual meetings held by the Legislature. You know the house voted it down, as you know, the Senate put it in its rules to allow them. To have virtual hearings on and we have appeared. In fact, in some of those virtual hearings, for example, just answer questions for senator says that we normally would in committee hearings. S o. You know, I think it's a good idea which the Legislature was doing more of it and you know, and in some cases, obviously, the hearings and the Legislators themselves convey a great deal of help gathering as they do virtually, but I know that that's a challenge that the House has chosen not to take up. Speaking of the House Republicans are renewing their calls on Speaker Madigan result to resign. The governor was asked about that again today. Well, I don't think anything's changed from the moment that they were charged to the moment they were rained right. There's no new information that came out as a result of this arraignment. That occurred on you've heard what my response has been. I mean, the the you know the charges that were leveled the people who are who are arrested. Um you know, the this is something that you look, I think you all understand. I really believe that public services are high calling and that the integrity of public servants is important for people to understand, And that means that when you serve in high.

"Obeying the law is just about virtue, signaling it's just about showing that you want to obey. And they were and that you care about your neighbors. There are ways if you don't wear a mask, you don't care. There are stores and restaurants that will let you come in. If you just pull your shirt up over your face for a few seconds. It's ridiculous. Absurd. I would rather wear a mask, however, then to pull my shirt up over my face, Like like like a child. They have to know. Do they have to feel silly doing that? And I'm not a fan of mask either. But, hey, this whole thing might be going away soon. Sure, Just like Dr Biden got elected. It was going to go away now what? Well, they have vaccines coming out, and they're hoping to begin distributing them as early as next month. So before Christmas time you should expect to See these vaccines being rolled out? I'm I dread to think I hope to never see one of these vaccines. Because if I see it, I'm gonna be trying to force it into my veins. Yeah, I'm not getting one of these. But who knows what the fall out of that is going to be? People are afraid, man. Well, there's already news that the airlines are developing some sort of an app. Yeah. To confirm that you have received a vaccine alarmingly. There are a fair bit of side effects from the cove in 19 vaccine Has anyone would have guessed, But what surprises me about this and again I'm not an expert. I'm not a biology expert, but just talk show hosts. We were told several months ago that the whole reason herd immunity wouldn't work. Was because the antibodies from the virus on Lee last a certain number of time, and it was like 40 something days or something like that, meaning that a person could catch covert 19 a second time. Yeah. Vaccine just gives you the antibodies for that virus by essentially giving you a weaker version of it. That doesn't have any symptoms or whatever it is unearthed in some way, okay? And your body builds those antibodies. So that you can't get the virus again. But that backseat those vaccine caused antibody should still go away after 40 days. I'm just gonna have to get another vaccine. Now you have to get to vaccines every year. You do have to get to me. Or four, maybe once a month. Maybe everybody needs to get a vaccine once a month just to be safe. I suspect it's once a month that will see Do you do have to get two shots with these vaccines from off visor and some are somewhere in those, Um, Madonna's. There's dozens of these things they're did developing across the planet. And health officials are concerned because once they give you this first shot Thesis. I'd effects really, really suck and they're like people aren't going to come back for the second one. They're not going to come back and really has to them again. So they're concerned. They say that public health officials and drug makers need to warn people that the corona virus vaccine shots may have some rough side effects. So they know we weren't sick yet. Okay, now you're gonna get sick. Said both of the covered 19 vaccines required to two doses of varying intervals. She's worried whether her patients this is Dr Sandra Fryhofer. She's worried whether her patients will even come back for the second dose because of the unpleasant side effects they'll experience after the first shot. She says. We really need to make peace is aware that this is not going to be a walk in the park. They're going to know they had a vaccine. They're probably not going to feel wonderful, but they've got to come back for that second dose boy side effects by the way, side effects are just effects that don't get advertised. That's it. Excellent point, Thies Air the effects the drug has. We don't really want to tell you about it, but we kind of have to. So we're gonna lift him over here is side effects. What Viagra was invented to, like control, blood pressure or something like that aside if they had a side effect, they're like, okay, we're gonna market this side effect. Benadryl was developed for allergies. And now they just take that same thing to put in Tylenol PMS and advertise it as a sleep aid. So it's definitely a good point. You'll experience high fever, body and great bad headaches. Day long exhaustion on other symptoms after receiving the shots, Boy, I gotta.
