"ultron" Discussed on The Café Bitcoin Podcast

"Cafe Bitcoin podcast. You know one thing that I do like about Bitcoin is that when certain people come out and they attack it, I mean, you can kind of tell it's very revealing, you know? Bitcoin is very fast. In revealing, when people really haven't done the hard work, they haven't done the homework. They haven't dug in, they haven't bothered to try to figure out what it really is. And therefore it becomes incredibly obvious. Where they're where the holes are in there, knowledge. Yeah, I love it these attacks just keep losing teeth over time. I've said it before where, you know, I think of Bitcoin sometimes as like this Ultron robot from those Avengers movies. Where you try to kill it. And if you do kill it, it just comes back and like then it fixes that hole. They're like, well, how are we going to beat it again? Let's do the same thing we did before. Oh, guess what? It doesn't have any effect. Because it has totally rewritten and absorbed that attack. Bitcoin is not rewinding, rewriting. So I don't want to get everybody all heated up at me. But you get the idea. It's like each time somebody takes these swings at this thing. It just absorbs it, and then moves on. You can see it in the way that a lot of people think that the initial. Rejection up at like 69, whatever back then was partly due to some tweets that Elon Musk had put out back then. And then he did it again just a couple of years later or whatever, a little bit later, and it didn't even hardly even affect the price. So whether or not you believe in that stuff. Some people would tell me that's nonsense anyway. But it's like long story short. You try to attack this thing. It just comes back stronger, and then your attacks don't even matter anymore.

"He had 18 points and 11 rebounds after missing the last ten games with a strained adductor muscle. OG and OB led Ultron scores about 20, while Scotty Barnes chipped in 11 points off the bench. Darius Garland was the Cavs leading score 18 points in ten assists, while Donovan Mitchell was held to just 8 points in 25 minutes of action.

"Holders, hole, or is he saying that playing together a solution to create all of FTX? Relief, basically. Because this is first time announcement to stand behind Ultron token holders Tron BDT jst on HD. Holders on FTX. We are putting together a solution forward with FTX to initiate a pathway forward. So I don't know why. Is he just saying like we're figuring out with them how to make our own bags good? I don't know why SPF would retweet that if it was just about Tron and TRX. It only makes sense under the context that Tron and Justin sun is helping FTX. It does it. I don't even know anymore with SPF, man. I don't think Sam's got control of his Twitter account anymore. I think that is the hands of crisis company. Do you all think Sam had an emergency escape patch? Plan? My question is, is SPF on the run, just like everyone else of 2022? It would be on theme. This industry is freaking nice. She was just talking about this. So she's like, is it dead this time? Yeah, how are you guys wives lately? It's weird enough that y'all call me ledger and that they call someone named Jordan Kobe. And she's like, what? Who? Why do y'all do that? And then now I'm like, well, this guy is on the run, and he came on the podcast and this guy, you definitely know. My wife works in the medical field, and she hates Scarlett. She's like, and she watched the show for the first time ever to see that clip. And yeah, it's like, it's mayhem. I ran into it. How are you doing today? And I'm like, I'm all right. My industry blew up a little bit over the last 72 hours. I got a little bit. I got totally rugged in terms of what I thought was true and what was actually true. Look, it's embarrassing.

"A few other options. So we want to take advantage of and just try to put together some pieces to this puzzle. Do you believe the occult may be involved in the disappearance of your son? I'm so scared. How about the iron giant? Brad bird setting the table for his amazing Pixar work, a great animated film from that year. And I'd round out the top 5 with Tom tick vers pumping, high concept thriller that was probably a gateway arthouse film for a lot of cinephiles back in 1999, run Lola run. Talk about stealing my thunder atom, you went right out and grabbed my number one. Yeah. And maybe this should have been a joint list. It is an incredible, incredible lineup. And I think why I have this at number one, even as you're listing those titles, I can picture the theaters that I went to for the top three, which I would say are the Blair witch project, the 6th sense, and eyes wide shot. As you said, the expectations, what you did know about it. In the case of Kubrick, just knowing that this was a master with a late career effort. And then all of the buzz surrounding Blair witch project in 6th sense. So if you're talking about and The Phantom Menace, I mean, which I, as you know, still appreciate, but I remember thinking about that and anticipating that. This was just, it felt like a momentous summer at the time, and it has stood the test of time to remain a momentous summer in retrospect. Maybe not in all the ways we expected some ways that surprised us. I think something like the iron giant was a surprise. 6 cents. Obviously, a surprise. And you know, Blair witch project a surprise, but yeah, people have been talking about it since Sundance that year. So yes, it's the experience of being able to put myself and maybe this isn't a fair way to evaluate this because obviously I couldn't do this for the 70s and I couldn't do it really as much for the early 80s at least. The 90s totally there and this summer totally hit. Keep in mind too, when you talk about the Blair witch project, I've got that as my number two horror film of all time. That same list, 6 senses number 8. So this for me as I'm giving it the subtitle is the summer of horror, just with those two movies on it. And as I'm looking at my 1999 top ten list, so compiled at the time, I've got Blair witch 6th sense, eyes wide shut, let's see what else here. I really love South Park, bigger, longer, and uncut, put that on my top ten, put The Phantom Menace on my top ten. I think half of my top ten for that year came out in the summer. So that's why I had to put 1999 right at the top of my list. Talk about truly stealing your thunder. I spoiled your number one summer Josh. I don't know where to go from here. Well, obviously, we both have good taste. We'll see how we do then with my number three movie summer. And as I was earlier bemoaning the lack of good options from the 2000s or 2010s, I've got 2015 as my number three movie summer. And here's another case like 99 where three of the bigger titles people might point to from that summer didn't mean much to me, those being Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jurassic World, and straight outta Compton, which certainly had its redeeming facets that was a film that I felt ultimately couldn't overcome some of the pitfalls of that type of biopic. Outside of that though, Josh, there really is a lot of depth here. You've got in the movie poster. Mad Max: Fury Road. Ex Machina from Alex Garland. Inside out, we just talked about it last week on the show and our Pixar poll question. Amy, one of my favorite documentaries from that year, maybe a weird choice to have in the movie poster, but that's how much I liked it. And there's a lot of competition for these last two spots. I've got Amy and Mission Impossible rogue nation, but you could throw in magic Mike XXL. As well, that movie and actually magic Mike was just on last night flipping channels for a little bit. Magic Mike XXL is another one. This seems to be on kind of HBO. Just every so often is I'm flipping channels. And both films are undeniably rewatchable. I get caught up in them every time. It's just kind of background movies. If you're a little bit distracted, but also you find yourself getting caught up in them every time. And if those titles aren't enough, there were a bunch of smaller films from that year that I think we were positive on all of them, Josh, at least the ones we both reviewed, Noah baumbach's mister America, great collaboration with Greta gerwig. There as the writer co writer with baumbach, he directed it. Love and mercy, the biopic ish movie about Brian Wilson, end of the tour, the biopic ish movie about David Foster Wallace. We saw Joshua Oppenheimer's follow-up to the active killing the look of silence and yeah, I can't believe it's taken me this long to get there. How about pitch perfect two? And I know people are screaming right now at their listening devices. Josh, because I've talked about how great the summer of 2015 is. And I haven't even mentioned the movie that surely had to be the biggest movie of the summer, at least second to age of Ultron. And it's the film that did compel the two of us to take the plunge and actually immerse ourselves.

"But in the same time, I like this idea of Tony Stark who was, you know, the original sort of privacy. In Iron Man two he literally says, I've successfully privatized world peace comes back to sort of like, no, no, no, we need to be accountable to somebody because, you know, we need to stop, because in my personal guilt. Exactly. We need to stop this from happening. Well, you've done in your previous films, what's happened to you is informed this choice now. This change you're making and you want to make for the world. And age of Ultron wants to put a Sue varma around the entire world from that. And this is kind of sort of that in a sense. Because again, very similar to Batman so the only solution he can think of to problems is to construct technological solutions to them, as opposed to punching them, you know? But that's consistent. And Robert Downey Jr. is so charming. You almost forget that he's drafting a child into a private army. Which is kind of not okay. Which is something Batman likes to do a lot as well. But no, I totally agree..

Might not get in. But I think you just have to take and think it happened in handicaps. You just have to take your chance. You could have a whole that you wouldn't think would have a chance. But I think it could happen in the race. They can win, but you know what they say. You can't win it if you're not in it. Exactly. I think you just have to take a chance. And don't be afraid of one horse either. I think it happened like. Yeah. "That's a news and stories and missions that need to be a shit just finds him that he can not just chill and laugh. He's Mark Wahlberg and shooter, where he wants to just be out on his farm and live in, but guess what, man. The whole world's coming to him at all times. He doesn't have time to just frolic around for a year. Because it's over at that point. He finds it though Riggs you can't say that he won't find him. But I would argue that in those movies, man, let's say character, he kinda wants it like he claims that, you know, he could, you know, yeah, I'd love this nice peaceful life like the normal life, but not really. That's not what's in that DNA. That's not what makes that clock tick. That guy needs it. And he knows it. And that might concern is that that's coming for Tiger. I don't know how much time we got left. I don't know if we can waste a year trying to pretend that he's some, you know, farmer who could just enjoy life and be peaceful and pop up when he wants to. I think we got a hammer those W's where we got the chance. He really is, I don't know if this is a movie not, but he is really that farmer who is in the field, just like working. And then that car starts driving down the road and you're just like, here we go. Whatever it is. Let's roll. Whatever he's just kicking up behind the tires. He's milking a cow. He's just sitting there, wipes his brow with a rag, and then just a car starts driving down the road and he's like, here we go. Here we go. Yeah. Ultron's here. "Just just the person who's lost in awe kind shane's coming over. Don't mind him. He blown away by. You'll see you'll see literally everything he'll be on the carpet like he's just flipping bills out of these things band. Are you me mazing. We have arms. I love that and this. This is why we're we're full circle. Sometimes if i smoke weed i go. I can't believe i can send a signal and move. This thing like the most basic thing does become the most amazing thing about them and by the way it is not. I didn't mean to end. The riff was so fun. Like this is fucking insane. Here's an epiphany. I had recently where i was like again. It's a spiritual on. But but i'll see what you take from. I was very interested when i was talking to you. I was like when you're in a d. Mt verse is it your. Do you have a body and you said it's like a cgi version of your body. Yeah that that changes. That's d. m. t. is first off. It's super unpredictable. And there'll be like five running themes and not that. I experienced every time but that i that have recurred and then and then like lots more mixed bags and sometimes it feels like. I'm watching a movie like that. Never did much for me us just a hallucination you know. And then sometimes it's panoramic Which is the feels deeper. I mean that's such a special experience because everyone everyone dreams but when you dream you have a body and you have. Is you know seeing in front of you. But th- role panoramic experience. Yes yeah what i was gonna say and sometimes it's third person you dream that you're looking at yourself and then but i know what you're talking about. I've had dreams where i've gone. Wait if i'm dreaming. Then why i shouldn't be seeing in front of me. I should be able to see behind me as well. You're so good at dream talked to me about this but that is a that is a great. You do that then. I have very very vague memories because once you do something that incredible wake up even if you just realize that you could do something. Incredible usually the adrenalin of that is enough to wake you up. But if you think about it in your dream. There's no reason you can do it. Just when you're imagining with your eyes closed you still see your thoughts in front of you. But you're like but i'm not seeing my thoughts like you close your eyes and picture a lemon. It's in front of you right. You could just as easily just. It's like a visualization exercise. Just move that lemon behind you and now put lemon in front of un behind you. Get a sense of the space. This is the type of curiosity. I'm trying to increase i. how how. How close can use zoom in on that. Lemon you see the pores on the lemon. Put it so you are the lemon. can you become. This is what you can do better in a dream. So but you d- emt answer sorry for such a barring answer but not sometimes sometimes a body but other times definitely and like the purple woman that i've talked about or whatever that was always that was always the interesting thing to me was of the reoccurring things that was the one that i tended to remember the most and she when i would see her always when she is going way we'd both get sad and then to cheer me up she would spin around and explode into just all of these factories and stuff and kind of just become the universe but then it would also become me you would also become the entire existence of me like we i all of it or i in her head or That's always the confusing thing up the duality of it for me. It's like what what is what's just like you're dreaming. You're you are the lemon. That's the and that's that's the really. That's a strange thing to tease. Apart in the gmt space. Especially if you wanna really really bake your nude. This is my favorite way to bake minute. I'm gonna. I'm gonna text you just a while from now like hey man bake my nude real quick. I'm like feel her off day. Feeling rather ordinary. Will you know what i think is funny as most. Follow me on this one i. It's not that hard to fall most religious traditions including the tv show watchman which is basically about the divine playing a game of elective amnesia. So that it can experience love and loss and fear enjoy things but also looked at any so many hindu stories and whatever and chris and the christian tradition. Most of it is that there is something called the divine dwelling we could call it awareness or consciousness but most religious people would have no problem including myself believing that there's a drop of water in you and god or whatever you wanna call it. Is the ocean. So the collective of all of it is. The ocean is bigger than us as more powerful. And you're just a drop of it but that's what's beating your heart. That's breathing you. That's what's keeping everything together. You have a little piece of god inside of you but then the next step is pretty easy. God is infinite. We all sort of agree that it's outside of time and it's infinite and then this is what makes even a small piece of infinity so small piece of infinity than you like the infinity stones in the avengers ins me. But it's not me. I don't quite understand it. He's talking about the soul. So you have a little piece of infinity in you but a little piece of infinity is infinity. That's what infinity is. So you going. Like am i in her mind and my here is is is. It's like does that make sense does a. I've always have such a hard time conceptualizing. It this is actually one of one of her main and is we did a someone else's podcast recently and they asked us what we have disagreements about because the the show remains a great artists on instagram. And he has he interviews mystics for his podcasts. I interview scientists. So that up. Because really we're like i mean like you and i it's like it's like imagining. We have some dichotomy between for marketing. You know just have good conversations and maybe articulate things slightly differently different vocabulary. Yeah exactly And but remained and is sticky. Point is he doesn't believe that nothing is possible. And.

And when color came to life, it was like those kids when they walked into that room in the Wanka Willy Wonka Chocolate factory, And it was full of candy. And this was a crap TV like we found it in, uh, in the in the Garbage compactor room and my dad was like I think it's a colour TV and we were like, OK, and he plugged it in. Yeah, it's it's so good. So let's take some time here. Yes. Is there anything? Cuz Falcon a winter soldier was so one division was this amazing job? I have a couple of friends who have not been able to watch One Division or felt going to Winter Soldier. They're, they're just like, I don't know that I have enough backstory, I don't know. It's so weird and they're weird like watching vision is super weird. You have to kind of stick it out. I think to the third episode it's it's it's own weird thing but it's like I said, love is the first two episodes are so short cuz they are suggested, episodes. Yeah, they're just 22 minutes and and then you're done and then they get a little bit longer and then we get to meet Monica rambeau and and I'm psyched that song. Yes, the Marvels. So looking forward to that. Yeah. Oh God. But the and also the right cuz Monica rambeau will be in the Marvels, right? Yeah. And Kamala Khan. Okay, yeah, TV show cartoon. What's happening? The Marvel can be this Captain Marvel sequel. It's Captain Marvel sequel. Yes. They're going to cross it off..

"Jarvis Tony Stark's virtual assistant into the body that Ultron had been creating for himself as a way to fight off the evil robot with Good or least neutral robot. I guess if I remember correctly bright, that's correct. Yeah. If you're going along the movie version, If you're going along, become stronger than him and want to hit it off pretty quickly. I thought absolutely no question about that, and by Infinity War, they'd have run off together to live in Edinburgh. Yeah, we're talking about one of you guys were talking about after watching all the marvel movies. So one division is getting good reviews. It's getting crazy reviews is getting like, Oh, my gosh, What's going on here reviews, but I guess they gave you a little bit more in the third episode. Friday night, which we all watch. Kevin hasn't watched one division. No, I haven't watched it yet. I'm good. It's good. It's good. It's weird. It's good. It's like whatever I don't know. You know, they're They're giving us the back story like they're setting us up for something. It's good. It's good. It's like whatever. I don't know that's quite a review. What? I don't use me as a reviewer. Yeah, I'm one of those people that probably not a good thing, but I'd rather wait until it's all out. So I can just watch it all in a week of not hearing a week, ever since you've seen in gaming stuff there, right because one division is post endgame, I believe, is that correct? Right? That's correct. Okay. Gotcha. Wait a minute. Yeah, I know what you're saying that, like the curtain just got pulled back because it wanders in his post endgame. Don't even say what I do. What do we know? Don't understand E think everybody that's interested has seen endgame. And if he bites the dust and endgame, then how does exist in one division? Yeah. Wow and Scarlet, which is so powerful. She's very polished. She could create an entire horrible universe. In her mind. She could, which Well, then I saw a spoiler on who Geraldine is. You did? Yes. Well, don't spoil it for other people. I love I'm not going to, but I didn't know that was a thing. Not like okay, so that it's you know, I'm making no sense trying not to give anything away. None of us have made any sense. By the way, this whole conversation. This would be a great podcast for people into this stuff, but otherwise, if you're not into it, you're like What are you talking about? All right. It's all right. We're gonna move on the first step here. Yeah, something that makes a little more sense. Valentine starts today with with some positive words of motivation to get your week started at the end of it. We all raise our cups high and have our first step together. There's a video. I assume it's up by now at Valentine in the morning and Instagram There's a video The little bear. Climbing a climbing the side of a mountain I guess covered in snow. More than waist deep in snow. His mom. Much bigger bear obviously has already climbed the very top of this mountain. In this little bear. It goes on for a while. You watch the video. He struggles and struggles and falls and struggles and falls trying to climb the side of this mountain. There was something absolutely magical Washington's video for me The perseverance. The courage you can do never give up attitude. On display by a little bear. Wrong, tense and purposes probably should have been able to climb. This hill is so massive As he watched the video. You see the bear make choices make decisions to get him to the top. Going straight up doesn't work. Sometimes you have to go a bit to the right a bit to the left. Off the beaten path, so to speak, to find a way to the top. Watch the video when you get a chance to you when you get to work, and you get the kids up for school or something, and it's safe for the kids to they want to watch it with you. And in the video, you'll learn a little bit about perseverance. And this little bear fights all the way to the top. We can use that our daily lives too. Step by step perseverance. Countess up, Jill. 123 When you're finished watching the video to your probably sit yourself much like I did..

"From the Hollywood Reporter. Hey, Dan, how you doing? I'm doing Well, how you doing, John? I'm real good. Real good. Got some stuff to talk about. Eyes there any place that you would like to start or do you army to start someplace? Well, I feel like probably we're gonna want to start in roughly the same place because I feel like the show that people are talking about it. This moment is is one division on you are correct. You like You are just killing a concert. It's the it's the big thing that people are talking about. It brings together movie fans and TV fans and leaves us all scratching our heads and enjoyable confusion. That is putting it. Delicately. I have seen the 1st 1st 2 episodes of one division I Disney Plus and I do not get it at all. I don't know what in the world is going on where they got the idea for this. Well, I guess is Wanda Is wonder one of the closet marvel characters that I've never heard of before. You might know her as the Scarlet Witch or want to maximum, But yes, she was. She had a very, very funny kind of fake accent in the various Avengers films that she no longer currently has. It's sort of a plot point. Where did her accent go? We'll see if it gets legitimately explained. Now, when you say, though, that you're confused or be amused or scratching your head in a pleasant way or in an unpleasant way, I guess within my question well, at first it was played. Is it? Then, if I continued scratching, it became extremely unpleasant. I mean, it's okay. I'm not saying it's a horrible show. It's just a weird show in a weird place. With a strange yet to be revealed to me anyway point. I mean, it's in black knowledge in black and white. Does it eventually go to color when they go into Colored TV somewhere down the road, or does it stay in black and white? Have only seen one additional episode. So I've seen the first three and the third episode does take us into a sort of seventies sitcom style, so the first episode is in the Dictate and like show kind of mode. The second episode is more Bewitched. And if you're you know, if people are students of the sitcom form, they'll recognize the difference is the differences are much larger, though, is we go a little bit further along and we see the decades get a little bit closer to modern, modern day so maybe I'll stay with Well, I don't thunder. It isn't. And that's the thing is, it's a strange game that they're playing, and so either you can go. I like all these sitcom references, and I'm curious what the mystery is, or I find it all infuriating and I'm not curious at all. Well, I wouldn't go in. I wouldn't go as far as to say. I'm infuriated, but I'm now having heard from you that it is going to go into the seventies, and it's going to bring in color and then down the road. Who knows where it goes? Well, then, perhaps I'll just stick around and find out. Is this a Shia crime fighter? I mean, and who's the guy with the crap on his head? We'll be the guy with the crap on his head in division, of course, and yes, started off as a basically a mechanized butler to Tony Stark. And then through a variety of extreme circumstances, he became more powerful. Thanks to Ultron in a later movie, you know? But I know some really nerdy guys that can probably explain this to me backwards and forwards in more detail than any human being would ever want to hear. I'm going to call one of them up. I guess I'll get the item. I know I'll get the entire backstory off Wanda and this butler and where they were and what they did. And what episode it was and Give it. Give it. Give it. Give it. Give it. Give it. Give it. Um you know, you know what I mean that if they're really good nerds, if your friends if you're nerdy friends are really smart. Maybe then they can also tell you the Be parts of the comic series run right little line to what the TV show is as well, So lots of stuff going on this end up on Disney, Plus The answer is that for many, many years, Marble was trying to do a TV operation, and they were basically operating as a separate studio Marvel TV versus Marvel Studios. And so they did all of those various shows on Netflix. That it Jessica Jones. They did daredevil. They did iron fist, etcetera, etcetera. They also did agents of Shield on ABC. So they were kind of Yeah. They were free agents, and none of them were really all that successful. Those shows some of them were good. Some of them, you know, had a couple good seasons, but none of them tied in really with the movie franchise, so it is certain point, Marchal said. We're caring down the Marvel Studios and we're going to make it all under the same Marvel Studios, banner movies and TV, and it's all going to go to Disney Plus because the future is streaming and that's where the money is. So that's basically how it ended up on Disney. Plus is this is a major Room raw for Disney, Plus and Disney Plus meets major draws, as do all streaming services that you've got to keep feeding the stream with blue.

No. Gosh, Was it Well, you know it was crazy. Mac it. You know what a nerd I am, like, you know, you're you're sitting there about the midway point of that game, and there are three games on the document at that point time so in the league overall There were 16 goals scored up into that point. OK, so I looked through the score sheets and everything. Eight of the 16 goals were power play goals, you know, and to me that screams. These guys didn't have enough time to take out the screwdriver and tighten the screen. So you know, screws, so maybe early on, it really is advantage. Power. Play me to see that many power play goals like that. And the funny thing is towards the end of the game. You know, Mac, I don't know how much you watch that Why were those guys gassed? When that game went into the overtime session? Those guys were gassed, and I've heard you say it. I've heard other professional athletes say it, Darrin. There's a difference between being in shape and every one of these guys are in better shape than any one of us listening, Okay? And being in hockey shape and I felt there and just watching it. What do we got? I forgot something. Last week shows how how out of sight out of mind this show Woz. American Gods premiered last night, but did he have to did? E that I've still got. I've got season two Still in my DVR. I haven't gotten too okay. Yeah, it's been almost two years since the last season to season three premiere last night. Uh, Some people are still there. Of course he and Maxine is still there. Okay, good. And Crispin Glover and, uh, yeah, I haven't haven't checked it out myself. You got I remember being very excited about this show in the beginning, and then the second seems we came right down. Yeah. In the third season. Apparently, I just completely forgot about. So you know, the second season was terrible, Just terrible. That's probably why I forgot about it completely tomorrow on the Netflix Chris Rock is released is releasing extended cut of his total blackout stand up special. It's called the Tangerine Extended Cut. It's 90 minutes long and it's got a lot of extra footage. From that special What? I can't remember when it aired. But if if you need even more Chris Rock in your life There It is all right, it and also tomorrow is the second season premiere of the Prodigal Son or my My Serial Killer, Dad show Michael Sheen and Campaign Jesus from the walking dead. That show is not bad. Yes, Suzman watching and she says it's she's enjoying it. I watched an episode and it didn't quite Been quite grab me for some reason. I'm not sure why. Mostly it's Michael Sheen. He's have My serial killer Dad and also premiering on Tuesday on the CW. This is a Canadian import called Trickster. It's a zoo being described as basically the Canadian, uh, stranger things set with a mostly native American cast. It's about a Young, a young man who'd been begins experiencing the strange Ah, hallucinations and it turns out is his real father might have been the trickster of mischievous spirit in the Native American lore. Oh, yeah. That looks pretty interesting in these people. You could go see the trailer next. 96 Comet looks pretty interesting. Uh, Wednesday. On Hu Lu, a new series called Everyone Is Doing Great. Imagine if you were like a member of the cast of twilight or something like the Vampire Diaries on then, five years later, you're struggling to Ah, After this, you show comes to an end. You're struggling to Ah! But in, uh there's a pair of bloody is the comedy A pair of buddies that used to be on a vampire show. Now they're, uh, nearing 30 and they're trying to figure out well, what do we do now? So this is a reality. Show them because that happened. Yeah, You think it was, but no, it's it's a comedy and on the on the less Funny Cide. New series premiering that ABC started Cure Sedgwick, who I expected Better of as called Call Your Mother, the last track sitcom. About Um um, empty Nester Mom, played by Kira Sedgwick, and basically she's bored, So she's getting up in her family's business. And of course, they're not into it. I'm just not sure why you expect I'm not sure why you expected better of Kira Sedgwick betters. You've always had a problem with Kira Sedgwick. She looks like one of those apple face dolls, you know? Uh, Thursday Season four premiere of Search Party on HBO. Max. Starting Elia shot Kat. This was a TVs syriza sort of a started off. It's kind of a hipster. Hipster mystery. Feel it. It's devolved into a pretty good dark comedy. And, uh, it's uh Was not impressed with the first season that as it's come along its I really like it now. He's used to be on TV s. Now it's on HBO, Max. And of course, Friday is the big premiere. This is the big one of the weak one division on Disney. Plus, I'm not sure I understand it, but I'm here for it. That's the premise. Carrie help us with. We don't really know the premise because well, when I would encourage you to do, Gina is get your Disney plus going and go to the Marvel section there and watch Marvel legends. Wanda and vision, and there's just clips from the movies that remind you of these two story that'll help set it out. Now you remember at the end of vision is dead on and Wanda did come back, but The premise is essentially We don't know what reality is, and Wanda and vision are in Sitcoms. Trapped in the TV. Is this like we don't know trappings of this. Yeah, We don't know if they're trapped, or if it's by choice that one, the kind of checked out and his imagining all of this. We don't know, And it's a comedy right, And it's a con. It's got comedy elements to it. The first three episodes were made available to some Well placed critics geeks who would speak nicely about it, and everybody is saying that it's it's different and strange, but in a good way. It's not your typical superhero show, would you What? You would not have to really know anything about this much I would say, Go watch those two marvel legends, things They're like, eight minutes long on that will help you refresh yourself on those two characters because a lot of the character development came out of the Avengers movie that most people didn't like. And that was a joke, Ultron. That's what That's where those two really got formed s. Oh, yeah, but I'm looking forward to it. Yes. Like you. HF. Yeah, Basically it Z gonna be a strange just like eight episodes there like a half hour each, and, uh, it's apparently it's like if David Lynch was doing a superhero show, okay? Um Anything else? Also the third season of Matt Greening's disenchantment drops on Netflix on Friday. Uh and you like to search Each season. Two of servant from him that shallow on also known as that creepy doll, baby Show, the creepy doll baby show. Yeah, he's that is not good that okay? Was I watched the first season. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but I got hooked for some reason. And then it it it went from being this is the show to no. Actually, this is the show that night will do that, too. Yeah. "What if somebody was up in an apartment? They had a good sunny window. But they grow something just for the seed. And then you know, maybe some ideas on what that is. But when I called for today was about victory Gardens. Remember in? Uh Well, you probably don't remember because I don't either, but in World War two during the war, they urged everybody to grow a garden in there, you know for food, especially And so every house was encouraged to grow a garden. So now in cove it if everybody is pretty well stuck at home. If you don't want to spread the disease you're gonna should stick around at home, right? So something. What's wonderful thing to do get stuck in the garden? And, uh And so I'm wondering whether or not we could like this next stimulus Bill. Get victory Gardens built into the stimulus bill, you know, And I love that. And I know that the extension agents here in Georgia are working very, very hard. I wouldn't say scrambling, but they are working hard. Kind of reinvent how community gardens are gonna look because those are more important now than ever, for sure, But yeah, just being self reliant. We talked about this on the show last march, right As I began a radio show. Ah, pandemic started, So we kind of had the Re, you know, come to the table again and kind of reinvent how we're going to do the show. But, yeah, last March, just re inspiring the idea of victory Gardens, boosting morale. Like you said. Folks are stuck at home so something to give them to look forward to something to work on and keep themselves busy and just to educate people on how to supplement their own families. Food supply right because That's about the time we were starting to experience the shortage at the grocery stores. People were not only making the run on the paper products and the meats but on vegetables too, and some people couldn't afford fresh vegetables. So that was a problem. So Knowing how to be self reliant. And all of that, So victory gardens are an awesome idea. That was the campaign back during World Wars, one and two Uncle Sam saying, Hey, garden to cut food costs. You know that way your your self reliant We're not having to spend as much money to make sure everyone's fed and think of the costs to I mean the cost of transportation and what it costs and pesticides and all of the preservatives and things to keep. Fruits fresh from where they come from, whether it's Florida or wherever, whatever parts of the country being shipped and transported to where they ultimately end up in your grocery store, keeping them fresh and just getting them transported. So I love that idea. David, I'm really glad you called about it, too. I've met someone last summer. Look, Tron Price who I am definitely going to be having on the show has gotten grants from the USDA and all of that, looking out for black farmers as well when the pandemic started and making sure that all farmers really were able to sustain themselves through all of this, But he's done some work with a food bank and when they were giving out food at the Georgia World Congress Center Given out boxes of fruits and vegetables to those who were really in need when we're all kind of hurting back in the summer time, So that's definitely an interview. I want to share with all of you just cause you have to think about that. You go into the grocery store and you get your tomatoes. Get your broccoli and you're out of there. But do you really Think about where it comes from. And then do you think about all the waste? You know what? What? Always thrown away What All has to be wasted. That could be given to others. So little Tron Price was a fascinating person for me to speak to Kind of off the air over the summer time. But reinvigorating that reinvigorating that idea of home gardening of Victory Gardens. Ultron is going to be an amazing person for all of you to hear from, so I really appreciate the call David always good to hear from you. And we will. We will talk about a sunny window and what you can do. I got a lot of ideas. So called back up next in my county, Cherokee County is Charles. Good Morning, Charles. Welcome to the show. Yes. Very good morning. So what's going on up there? My missing anything. I'm headed that way. About an hour and a half. So just a little gray again. Looks like I was just a winter day, Right? Right. All right. Well, what can I do for you? Have a lacy tree that's been on a covered deck for several years. It's got so large now that I've got to get it off my deck. And I was wondering about moving this to the outdoor plants. If it would survive in our climate, and how the trend make that transition to get outside. Now, when you say, Lacey tree are we talking about like that philodendron that has the really like long finger like leaves on it. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Well, let's make sure we won't talk about Swiss cheese plant That's kind of that's a monster era to that Some people call Lacey because it's got the holes in the leaf. So you have a philodendron. How big is it? It's the trunk of the tree is probably 4 4.5 inches, and it's probably 7 FT. Tall. How old is nothing? Oh, it was brought to us. A family member, almost dead, So we've been nurturing and along for probably the last 12 years, I guess maybe Isaac. That's great. That's great. All right, so I kind of had a transition it from inside the outside or from like the deck into the ground. What? I'm sorry. I missed that part of it. So amazed that you're something that large Yeah, It's been on the cover that on So Yeah, we won't. I just need to get it. I don't have room for it on my deck anymore. So I was wondering about just moving it outside. We have some very heavily wooded area. I know this plant probably locks shaped top area, so just wondering about it would be possible to just stick it in the ground out there. Hope it would be okay. Yeah, And we've definitely got to wait. You know until the chance of any freezes until that has run its course because that is that is susceptible to a freeze for sure. And what I would do, too. I know the pot is so large for that..
