"Else comes close. Our producer director Jeff Colt. Mac is right on board here. You know things that ribs does not care about. Or does he? That's the title of the segment might be a little long. But I like it because It engages Craig Outside of the realm of hockey, Marty, you'll go anywhere. Okay? Gotta break into cradle. It's taken five years and we've tried and we fumbled, But I think I have one here that might get him. Where did you go? Where did you find? Well, this this directly affects you, too, Martin. Elliot Voice, Martin. Eating one hot dog. Takes 35 minutes off your life, a study suggests. I'm not going to read this study because I don't want to borrow you. We have three that is crazy. So I said, when I read this Joey Chestnut and Kobe ACI must be negative years old. They probably had Ed. They must be hundreds of they probably had thousands and thousands of hot dogs. So how does that work? Let me ask you all got still getting the hot dogs, so they look at you, Petey. And you die at age 97. They say How many hot dogs did he have in his life? And we think he probably should have lived up to be 100 to But because he had that many hot dogs. He died at 97 like, How does that even work? Well, if I can go down it If I go down it, let's say 68. Okay? You start saying Let's not look at everything I did. Okay. But let's start saying like You're just keeping it hot dogs. We're just keeping it the hot dogs factor in when you're a kid, the microwave dogs I mean, yeah, but plus okay, news I would have been 76 so to our dogs will shave one hour off your life. Okay. Good. You 10 now and then, But let's round it up to an hour. No, that's not because those 10 minutes are crucial. You say bye to a lot of people in 10 minutes 40 Yard dogs will shave one day off your life. Okay, Let's be close enough. So 40 hot dogs will shave one day off your life. So do you have 40 hot dogs a year? Don't have 40 hot dogs a year, Okay, or No, I know so really what? We're talking months. We're not talking Eagle Farm. Does that mean it's kind of that's it? That's 45 minutes. That's a hot dog. That's kind of like now we're doing monopoly where it's like you've been assessed property repairs where you pay X amount per house in X amount per per, Uh, hotel. Your hotels are your corn dogs, But we're not talking years off your life here. We're talking possible like A week or two weeks off your life. So we're not saying Hey, stop eating on dogs because you're gonna die 10 years early, like it's not years. If you're losing years, you ate way too many hot dogs anyway. I would just like to say to somebody out there that I apologize. We've just taken about four minutes away from your life, but I hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have that stand talking about out there. It's summertime. It's labor Day is coming up. Maybe the guy grabbing six hot dogs might have four. You know what I mean? Mixing a burger. Makes it a burger. Rev. Enjoy yourself today. I know what you're doing. Right now. You're going to found out hot dogs. I don't know if he was going to make a couple of hot dogs, but we found out, RJ said he's strength a million beers in his life. Which clearly adds time to your life. So get by. I guess that means I gotta start drinking again. We'll be back.

We did have a mascot floating around, or, um, back in the nineties, but I think we need to bring one back because when you were going to go start beating up on some people, so when you start being up on voters as part so we need to bring one back in. You know, they didn't have one didn't look like the, uh Wisconsin badger of mascot at one time if I'm not mistaken, although that's the one that Children can't make it looks like no. That that looks like a skunk though I'm just sorry. They but I mean, that was the one they planted. I don't know if they planted that one or not, but we need to have one. "And this is what the Giants due to other teams is get into that middle relief and I saw the A's do it for years with our now in market. They did it constantly. Get in middle relief. Get the picture out. I'll never forget it, and that's how you win games. So for him, I agree with you if he can be that middle reliever and give you two or three quality innings in the middle, I think it's huge for the Giants. Yeah, I don't see a stuff like going away. All of a sudden, I mean, he's been out of the game for a long time. His arm's feeling great, and you know, he's a pro. He's really been around, and he's had a lot of success. Um, So, yeah, He's got the good head out there. I much rather I see him out there than Alvarez and in a lot of guys that they've put in that role, so that could be what's next for him? If you know it always be great. If Webb can come back and get in the rotation and that that's the ideal, But don't let cashmere get get away. No, they can close out a lead. You know between, uh Hotel and bar Regar and Rogers and McGee. You give him a lead in the 17. They could bring it home. Yeah, they're getting leads, Not against the Dodgers. But for the most part. Yeah, it's holding it when you don't have the lead. That's where this comes in. I'll ask both you guys. We didn't have a no hitter yesterday. Were you disappointed? E was crushed. I couldn't even talk for a while. My wife go to what's wrong, huh? Yeah. Yeah, well, you know that. Well, I think we're you know, we're probably due for for a couple today. It's not. It's not two or three. I mean, uh, let's see who's on the ledger. Who? Who's going to get the one today? Could be? Ah, you know, could be Casey Mai's Could be, uh, about Darvish. Is he going today against Seattle? So Seattle's a threat to be no hit every game there. There's really there's a completely really Yeah, There's a couple of good get options right there. Of course, Cody Poteet could weigh in too. So you never know what they're doing. Terrific. Whoever it is who we have no idea who he is, but he's no, I don't know who he is. But he could certainly throw a no, no. Yeah, we got that cooking. Well, I have coming up and interview with Alan Levy, who wrote a book and I thought I'd be good to have it on the biography of Walter Alston. No, but I thought about it. Bruce and Bill and, uh, is Walter Austin managed 23 years with 11 year contracts, of course. But while the Giants had Alvin Dark and Bill Rigney and Charlie Fox and Clyde King and all the time she in Walter Austin was there through everything just Walter Alston, and he never sunk into the level of Leo de Rocha. Or, you know the crazy giant Dodger rivalry. But he was a very quiet man. But one year contracts I thought, In contrast with the Giants had in all these years, I thought I'd be interesting to hear about who? Walter Austin really was. Bruce your thoughts? Oh, yeah, no doubt. I mean, you know, I was a Dodger fan during the great days of late fifties and sixties when they came out West and and we never knew anything about him that one thing did we know except that he was a good manager, and he made good moves and These interviews were kind of dull and I reading a book by Tom Callahan told I think it's called gods that play and there's there's a he gets into all their Austin's. I forget the connection. But what's interesting guy? He was off the field with a great sense of humor. And, you know, had other things that he liked to do. So I'm sure that interview is going to reveal them in a much greater detail, But but you know, just that just a classy guy who He went about his business and sort of kept his private life to himself. But me. Well, if you get to know him, he was even more interesting than before. Yeah. Went from Brooklyn to L A and never stopped being a guy from Dark town, Ohio. I tell you what, gentlemen, It's so different. How managers from then tow how they are now. How the change the roles of managers have changed from Walter Austin. We go to Bruce Boats you with the big contracts to $45 million a year contracts, multi year contracts. So now when you have analytics, telling the manager what to do in the dugout Ipads, we talked about it yesterday. The manager's job is definitely changed from years back when Walter Alston was there too now and you, you guys tell me your thoughts on that. It's a great, great big collective. Now. I mean, the Giants are a great a great example. Whether the many coaches they have and Away the input they're getting, You know that the pile of analytic stated on its own is is completely new. And you know that around the big, You know the bench. Sometimes the bench coaches is the most influential guy and, uh and you really can't. Always pinpoint Who's making the calls. Here are what what went into a move when before was just the ministers would make a move based on something that you saw as well as he did as the game went on, and that was your evidence. Whatever happened before, is right in front of you. But, you know now the pile of evidence and pending details on guys with their tendencies is so vast and that managers dispose those It looks down and it was iPad or whatever. It's a totally different game. I'm not terribly fun of it. But you know, On the other hand it zit can be threatened. Be refreshing. If you've got a manager who's just overmatched and has lost the clubhouse and and it's just on a tailspin. And you can't get out of until you replace him. You know, we've seen that hundreds of times over the years and s O. It Z different. It's It's much more complicated than before. But you know it's it's interesting in its way. Well, the manager used to be in charge of the clubhouse and he would you know he would take care of the clubhouse, the food in the clubhouse and the manager was the manager of everything on and then it sort of got away from that to some degree, And then the manager really Was a buddy of the general manager or the owner, and that's how that's how you got the job. So if you could sit down and drink I mean, this stone him is a great example of it. You know, Tom she and became the manager the Giants because he used to sit around with stone him..

Alan Levy Tom Callahan Bruce Charlie Fox Walter Alston Alvin Dark Clyde King Bill Rigney Cody Poteet Tom Brooklyn Alvarez $45 million Leo de Rocha Bill 23 years iPad 11 year Walter Austin Giants

"Afternoons. All right. Mark Fincham is an Arizona member of the House of Representatives. Remember him in a tweet and he compared the hotel chain to the Holocaust? Of course he did. Hey, also also is allegedly, uh, hotel would you compare on I have stayed at some horrible places. Nothing bears, no He's also allegedly part of planning the insurrection at the U. S Capitol, and it's so lucky that we have him here as an Arizona house represented. So he went on on a podcast today, and he's talking about the silliness that's going on at the madhouse on McDowell Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The audit fraud it, aunt. He said that? Hey, we found something. It's Zapresic. Big number of dead people who voted Now. If this is just me. Yeah. If he said it was Sonny out today, I don't think I believe him. I tend not to believe any politician. Whether they're Republican or Democrat. But I'm gonna put Mark Fincham at the top of that thing, because Oh, I don't know. He liked what he saw in January, 6th. And if you really liked what you saw on January 6th your crappy human being. I'm just gonna say it. And I probably don't like you very much, And I don't think that you know your word is worth anything so they can continue to look But I just think he's throwing a bunch of bull out there. I don't really think he knows what's going on. I think he lives in a totally different world than most of us sane people. On. I really don't care what comes out of this fraud it because that focus from the beginning, So what you're telling me is you believe in ghosts? That's the first thing I'd say by the way. "The two door the two seater with the convertible in the removable hard top a 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible with suicide doors. Or some kind of a Ford Mustang. So if this is no, I'm not having any type of breakdown. I'm not having any type of midlife. I just need another car for family reasons. And I've decided tow. Have some fun on DNO not, you know, destroy myself financially, and I cannot make a decision. Any thoughts? The band's I'd go with the bends, Tony, no question about it. I think this is from personal experience. No, no, I'm just I'm just visualizing Tony. I could see you in that ride. I think I think you look great. You couldn't see me in the 1966. Lincoln Continental. Well, that that would be number two. But I still think that that classic Mercedes Benz is it says Tony Cats all the way. That's all I'm saying. What says Tony Cats all the way Indiana all the way. Let's get in Amazon in Fort Wayne, Apple, Clayton and other areas and central Indiana Toyota In Princeton. We're talking about investments. We're talking about jobs about a billion dollars in total investment, but we see them go into places like North Carolina and doing a billion dollars and just one project. So are we in the mix. Are we on the periphery or we just getting started? You know, I think it points the number. Thanks, Tony. And you mentioned those those big name companies. If you think about it, and it essentially a 10 Day period, Amazon in in Fort Wayne, with with 500 jobs Apple here in central Indiana and Hendricks County with with a major investment 1400 jobs that Toyota in Princeton, which will push them to some 9000 jobs, three big announcements, three different parts of the state. You and I have talked about Ah lot about the fact that More than Indianapolis needs to do well in the economy. And here we have examples of northeast Indiana. Southwest is well, so I think it points and all but just getting started. But I think it's continued momentum and really positions. Indiana I think very well coming out of the pandemic. You another announcement, Tony that we have this morning at inside Indiana business dot com is connected, which is a tech company here in downtown Indianapolis, their committee to 400 jobs. As well over the next 3 to 5 years and again those air commitments. You know, those aren't done. Those are jobs that are available. Now it's over to the three years but some big announcements around the state. Those kinds of places like connected. You could find that story inside in the end of business dot com. We still get into this back and forth idea off. What are the jobs that we need? When you know, Apple says. They're coming and it's a distribution center. There are some people who say Yeah, but what we really want is the technology side of it. Do you find that the state or does the or does the business community find that the state isn't looking enough at jobs for all? Are they are they more picky in terms of wanting to attract or do they? Yeah, I think they see value that at the same time, I think the state it has said it on a number of occasions to you know they're going to going to look at jobs that pay above the average wage. You know those jobs get the average per capita income pop, which we is a state in Indiana have been trailing lagging combination if you will for a number of years, so they're gonna look for those jobs that pay above the average. But then again, you're looking at different areas. The state of Indiana to a distribution center in Wayne County in eastern India. Just to throw a name out there could be extremely attractive. Maybe they're not in the hunt for some of these higher painted tech jobs just talking, you know, theoretically now so those kinds of does you have to go over the entire mix in the range of salaries if you will. And you know, big focus on technology on life sciences and those jobs that pay above the average. But those distribution jobs, especially from big names, like Amazon and Apple, are attractive as well. Talking to Gary Dick from inside Indiana business dot com On Twitter, I'd be one of your pieces State of downtown improving in Indianapolis. What are people telling you? And what are the metrics by which they're making this claim? Yeah. In fact, the state of downtown was an event. It was actually at in a participated in on Thursday of last week. And you know, they made no bones about it. The still A lot of challenges downtown. To be sure, you know, coming off of the pandemic and some of the social unrest from from last year, But one of the indicators one of the metrics talked about is downtown hotel occupancy and let her tubes who was at that event, and said that the previous weekend was another weekend that saw Indianapolis hotel They can see among occupancy. I should say Mama Thompson, the country they were. That happened several times during the March Madness, obviously, for understandable reasons, But there are indications that people are beginning are beginning to travel again. Events are beginning to happen again. It's going to be a process that it happens. But But there are things going on. And and it's going to take a while. Who knows how long how long it might might be, But I think there's some some enthusiasm anyway. That things may be headed in the right direction. I'd like enthusiasm. And please never never confuse issues that leaves with with with me. I want The success I want the growth rite incrementally better is the way you guys describing it inside Indiana business dot com that that is a hopeful I, but that's not. Hey, Here's the Here's A real measure of this is where it was two years ago in here it is today and the follow up I'm gonna ask is Are we viewing this based on? What happened regarding the pandemic and perhaps the riots. Are we basing this on where we have been in a slide in downtown over the last few years? Well, I think both. I mean, I think if you you look, uh, hotel occupancy numbers and as visit Indy releases those they will go back to 2019 and compared to 2019, which is the way to do it, but at the same time Understanding what has happened over the course of the past year and how bad things got, Uh, you know, there's a long way to go. There's no no question about it, and I think there's a feeling that things are in place for a They were calling it the event of resurgence of downtown. How long is that going to take? How long is it gonna be before people feel comfortable? Going out to eat and being in places and going to events with other people. Those are questions that you know don't have answers for yet, but it's a real focus of a lot of folks, including the folks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Who were who were part of that event, and obviously that's going to be the biggest event. Certainly biggest sporting event held since the pandemic, even a 40% capacity 135,000 people later this month. So that's another test for Indianapolis. March Madness, I think, by most indications who was a success Indianapolis posting that a lot of eyes around the country around the world going to be on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as they always are and made, but especially this mate. T understand how Indianapolis is going to pull us another big event. This much is true. It is going to be all eyes. On in the as it always is, And as you know, everybody loves the month of May. Absolutely lutely. Everybody gonna be may see just just like that, Just like that. Gary Dick inside indiana business dot com on the Dr Hugh blur dot com Hotline..

"Negative concepts and the potential negatives of everything. At some point, the two negative stories compete with each other. So now we have, you know, Thankfully, it looks like we have the vaccine coming in the next couple of weeks. Looks like it's pretty effective and that that's really good news. But there are immediately we go to the negative stories. There's not gonna be enough for everyone. At first, There's a there's isn't it just good news that we have a vaccine and we can all assume that eventually we're gonna have enough for everybody. But you have to competing negative stories right now. Just for the just because we have to leave. The negative one is, Uh, Hey, there's not gonna be enough for everyone and the other one is it looks like no one will take it. These two conflict with each other way. Got the story that we're not gonna have enough for all the people who want it in the other story. Well, it's looking like no one's gonna take it. They don't trust the vaccine, blah, blah, blah. The truth as usual life somewhere in between. It's gonna be approved. The UK already approved. I think the Fizer bio in Tech one. So that's already approved over there. You have to assume it's gonna be approved here. On. It Looks like they've got about 20 million doses ready to go. If you take nursing home residents and workers and health care workers. We've got about 24 million of those in the country, according to Wall Street Journal. S Oh, yeah, Listen, it's not always doom and gloom. And I just find it funny that these air to negative stories that really don't add up to things we really have to worry about with this vaccine. Hey, let's not take 48 hours and just celebrate the fact that a vaccine is coming. For heaven sakes, people, let's not just relax and smile about Anything at all. And just immediately we have to rush in with. Well, there's not gonna be enough for everybody. And if you think that if that's not bad enough, it turns out no one wants to take it. You guys gotta get together and figure out which one of these negative stories you're gonna leave with. Yes, Jared? Well, that's why West Moss has been on well this this entire times because he brings the positivity. You okay? I go West bosses there by very quickly very quickly. I was going to say that Pittsburgh Steelers game that is being pushed Baltimore Ravens game Because the cove it was supposed to be on Thanksgiving at night. It was gonna be the only good game. They got rid of it, then that it was gonna be played on son wasn't gonna be Monday it first. We played on Tuesday and then then I got pushed to this afternoon, and people think it's strange that they're playing at 3 40, which is unusual, and it turns out the reason is because they have the NBC gets good ratings for their Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting. I think that's tonight. So there's not many things that are able to stand up to the NFL. And I believe for five days here. I know because of the Copan protocols. Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth have been stuck in the being played in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, You're stuck in her brother's sandwiches. Everyday French fries to meet Cole slaw toast. "Get into this. It's just a rapper got shot. On supposedly like hunting down, whatever, Uh, hotel. So it believe Had been shot. So, uh, today it's Interesting a bit of that in just a minute. But Also, we'll get into Jeffrey Lubin. You may know the minute Jeffrey Toobin fired today. All that just a few moments of the first I wanted to get back to One of our listeners who is in beautiful Boulder, Colorado Cooling and John It's called an 800 to 88. That would be a peach, John. You're on w P. Thanks for holding. Yeah. I was just listening to the commercials there. Yeah, I wanted to mention you know how the numbers are going up on people testing positive and getting sick and the virus and everything. Apparently, you know, these masks don't really work. And I guess you've heard this before. But The virus party called viruses and arrive. It's a particle and these particles are so tiny. They go right through these mask, scarves. Anything you're really using. And it's the mass really worked. These numbers wouldn't be going up like they are. If you know, and you know, we kind of wonder I work with a medical doctor. I'm an assistant for a doctor. And we even wonder if the numbers they're putting out or even correct. And you know which one's which numbers mean? You mean the death? Yeah. The death tolls the case. I was, Yeah. I was gonna tell you about the numbers real fast on that two things. Um, I'm the numbers I have read over and over again by I think Bill McGurn is one of the great columns in the Wall Street Journal. And hey, says the real numbers. Are way higher like millions putting out I know it's 1% body saying, like the number is not one million. It's probably 10 million or or even more, You know, social distancing might help in washing your hands. And you know, I don't like people sneeze and crop on you just like we just treat it like it's a flu season. We're having a bad flu season. Be careful. Wash your hands. Keep your house clean. They held. Keep your immune system up. I'll say this to the The sow ast far as the but the point is, is that we're probably 10 times, 7 to 10 times more people have it the We don't have all the testing to do all the testing to see how many are there. The truth is that I'll I mean millions and millions more. Have been exposed to it than we know, and that would have the show the deadliness the virus even way lower than a tat. And that's his point s. Oh, that's number one that both of this, But Bob buttresses what you're saying, but the other thing I wanted to say, is as far as the mass thing. I have gone back and forth on everything I've seen because the facts in the stories change, But today I heard one from a guy who, if you like, uh, the guy on the Fox news doctor who was interviewed Trump twice. I had him on my show a couple weeks ago, Doctor. He's in New York. He's in New York lingo. He's a current medical doctor, and he's a medical expert is on Fox regular contributor. His name will come to me the second. Like I said you just on my show a couple of skull of his new book. But, um, he said today I heard my Fox the subsidence, saying today that, um there's a new study that comes out that shows they all are very effective. And he explained why, and so you know it's freaking nuts. So that was far as I'm concerned, you know, it Z kind of like letting it firecracker. Go off. It's you know, it could go all different ways. But His life. Think you're right. People are going Oh, they're out walking around. They're not wearing masks they only wear when they go in the store. People in this town are pretty health conscious. Okay, Well, I'll tell you what. I think if somebody wants to say have a sign on her forehead that says, I'm a moron. To me. It's wearing a mask when you're outside by walking down the street by yourself, or if you're driving a car, and you got a mass gun by yourself in the car, or you with your family. You're a freaking moron. I mean, that's all I can think to be honest. But I'm saying this it there's been times for me personally. When nine times of town I'm not. I don't feel like I need to wear. I don't care. But this other times I'm like, Well, it's fewer people here were sitting around for a long time. We're indoors. But like a store or a restaurant for a sit down, whatever whatever they're doing, or my employer. If they have rules, whatever the rules, are, I'm gonna file I'm not gonna jerk. I'm not gonna be an idiot. My church strongly recommends one but they will shame you attack if you don't wear one, you know, not playing a stupid game. Like like some of these trips are so s so political and economic reasons behind them. Yes, trying to make a buck off it now it's It's just getting ridiculous. It is. I appreciate your call, My friend. Stay, stay warm, right and just All right. Thank you. Bye bye. Thank you, but I think he said he likes the show. I.

Yeah, yeah, No, it is. It is. I'll definitely sit down with you and talk to you about the thoughts on their way to the one of the guys that work for me. My VP drove a vote for a few years, and there's there's ups and downs, depending on what you're gonna do with it. Again. I haven't made my decision but at some point once, like everything fired up here, I wanna you know, Instead of putting a lot of miles on my wife's car in my car weaken, you shouldn't go to work a couple days and electric car. I could drive a car here and there will be my full time vehicle. They'll just be a tool. Wrong car. It's good for Ah, local driving exactly Some of those cars you know you have. You have to get a test to take it out of town. But But the interesting one of our listeners just sent me a private message and said, According to what they're saying on TV by 2035. They're not allowed to sell any gas cars. Only electric in California that goes me there there. There should be a massive You know, evey charge all the charge stations. "I'm John. This is John Baxter Show that is McCotter, My colleague. American greatness and we're joined By Malcolm Hoenlein Conference, the president's major American Jewish organizations. There are lots of different stories with possibilities in the Middle East. We begin, however, that of one that influences decision making in the U. S about peace breaking out. This is the Republican National Committee Convention virtually well, some really brought to you by my partners. It's scala dot com Bring I bring ideas and leaders together to test their communication and their vision of the future. Visit scholar dot com today to learn more Malcolm Days past You and I had a good conversation with the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, in which we talked about the breakthrough you a deal. The Arabs sitting down with the Jews and peace breaking out without the Palestinians in any fashion, changing their intransigence. However, Mr Dermer is quoted in Al Arabiya, which is a website that's much looked at in the Middle East. As saying their other deal's possible within weeks or with months. What can you tell us about that? Malcolm? What other deals? Good evening team. Good evening. To both of you. It's great to be with you. And this is a still a big story that broke a couple of days ago. It's we discussed on the air. About the diplomatic relations being established by the and in Israel. There's still a lot of details, and I'll try to just run through it with the headlines. About what Has been happening. Secretary of State Pompeo is in the region. He'll be visiting Sudan, Bahrain the Of course he's now in Israel, and it will be fostering this deal as well as dealing with issues related, uh to Iran. The Sudan has spoken about establishing Matic relations to foreign minister spoke to his counterpart in Israel and then was dismissed from his position. And the same thing happened in Oman, So I'm not sure that we're going toe. Be able to see anyone right now move back reign would be a primary candidate. The money foreign minister been alibied bin Abdullah spoke with Gabi Ashkenazi, the foreign minister and said that they supported the IV decision to establish relationships and Saudi Arabia, in the meantime, said that it would Only establish full relations when the there's peace between the Palestinians and Israelis, although they are, of course, dealing with it With Israel on DH, there's been a lot of discussion. The Iranians, obviously very strongly opposed. This threaten the U. S. A. As did Erdogan from Turkey thing He's going to close. His embassy in in the although he has an embassy in Israel as well without an ambassador and the You know this is it gives Israel's a certain strength and position Tau have this kind of close relationship with a country across the Gulf from Iran. Justus Iran, As you know, is trying to encircle isn't with Hamas gets a lot. It's militias in Syria and from Iraq as well. The the diplomatic maneuvering czar continuing one of the issues that has come up is potential sale by the administration of the 35 Fighter Stuff Fighter, which you he has sought for awhile, and Israel has opposed not Just really, but just to bring it into the region, which would diminish Israel's qualitative edge, and there is legislation United States they guaranteed that United States will maintain Gates and qualitative age against its neighbors, because otherwise peace and stability will collapse. It's only that the recognition that Israel has ability to defend itself, and so that sustains that. And so they are. Israel has spoken out against it against the sale. It is not part of the agreement and Mr Ambassador all Tebow, who plates of critical role in of the ambassador to us Um, said that this will move in phases. So I think that that is the most likely description of what will come next. Whether one more country or two will actually go all the way or will they take interim steps, But Clearly there's a great There's great support for it. Uh, Europeans have been rather silent, which shows that it's a very good idea in a great deal. Malcolm. They have 35 just quickly. It's gonna make her break at 35. 35 is independent of the deal. But Israeli opposition is something that you're very sensitive about. Israel's very sensitive about the idea that it would be introduced there because then it would also go to Saudi Arabia. Others would want it but rain and they have the money to buy the $100 million planes and Israel has taken. I think the first six so far five or six of the 50 that they have on order so and it has special qualities, so maybe there's a way to deal with it to restrict I'm too and as the Israeli a U. S ambassador, Israel said. It'll be years before they are delivered. But it's ah, very sensitive issue in the Israel and us We're supposed to have a joint public meeting that has been postponed in Israel. They speculated that it was because of the deal that at 35 they say no, that it was really because of covert and because of the The political season that they didn't want to be caught in the middle of it is Malcolm the tensions arising in Gaza. Can you tell us what's going on? And what does Hamas want out of this? So this is very important because this situation is escalating. And right now, the idea Southern Command chief, uh, hotel lobby Really top idea. Commander is in Doha talking to them about trying to negotiate another ceasefire. He did the same thing back in February. Um you know that they have been launching these explosive balloons we reported on them. They were 28 fires. On Thursday, there were 20 and night and mortar rockets being fired from God's against civilian populations. In Israel. These balloons are loaded with explosive and incendiary. A fuel, which caused extensive fires. It's landed in kindergartens and homes and synagogues and all in residential areas it's caused. A lot of damage in Israel can't allow this just to continue. And so the situation escort Israel cut off or reduce some of the shipment of cars into Gaza. Humanitarian aid goes in unfettered But the other stuff other goods are being more restricted in the hope of putting pressure on Hamas to contain the rockets. They also fire rockets into the sea to show that their capability and threatening obviously Israel that they will go further and further in Israel. So the Qatar, as you know, has been providing funds to Hamas. They're demanding Mohr. They wanted to be paid to them. It goes to pay salaries, but unfortunately, money is fungible, so that too has become a question that is Discussed. Egypt sent a delegation, but they returned in a few hours because they did not see the real potential for creating a cease fire a role that Egypt has played so often. Malcolm the snap back. It's a term of art having to do with the Iran deal now rejected by the U. S. I read for the headline of The Jerusalem Post because this is now becoming a debate at the United Nations Security Council that looks Let's put it this way. It makes a lot of people unhappy. UNSC members to cry, quote illegal US triggering of snapback sanctions on Iran We urge the US not to act Arbor Charlie against the world's will. Otherwise it will meet further opposition, said a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry. Malcolm is snapback becoming a tool that our opponents are using against us. It is the lab robbed today. The foreign minister of Russia also made a very negative comments and U. S efforts are failing and, ah, you know, Talk temas confrontational act when In fact, it's fulfillment of the responsibility of the poem which has built in that their violations. You have a snap back of the resolutions that were adopted between 2006 and 2010 by the United Nations Security Council, which sanctioned Iran and they were suspended when the agreement was signed. But do we know that they're enriching passed that 3.67%.

We're going to be joined by the number two from the Department of Homeland Security. Ken Cuccinelli at 705 He will be telling us All about the fight against the riots in Portland. What really went on there and just the federal law enforcement role that the Trump Administration has has ordered to try and help deal with violence. I even asked him about it. I'll ask him about what's going on here in New York City with the possibility of additional federal law enforcement resources, So we'll be talking to the number two at D. H S. The election delayed, Trump asked in a tweet this morning. He's just finishing up a press conference. So there is that He's gotten a lot of questions about this, but the election's not get well. Obviously it's not going to be late. I'll explain why the president brought that up. Plus antifa not sending us their best. We'll get into that. Herman Cain passed away. How did the lives react? Herman Cain, Very sad. Tragic he died. From covert 19. On the way that the journalists unfortunately, many of them predictably reacted to this, including major news organizations. Like Reuters. You won't. You won't believe it. We'll get into some of that. And then also just some of the updates for what's going on here at home. And then I see in the second hour. Ivan tell you the streets are dirtier. Well, that's because the streets are dirtier because we've had Ah. Millions and millions of dollars cut out of the sanitation budget. So at a time we were all supposed to be concerned with health. Sanitation budgets are being cut and we are wallowing in filth here in this city in the middle of the summer. I will certainly get to that. But I want to start with something is very, very important. Because A single biggest issue in the country right now, as we have seen the Protests have died down. The riot seemed to be Waning not yet entirely under control. But the riot seemed to be on the On the downward slope. On DH. We know that the way the Democrat's plan to seize power we'll have already seized power through this, but the way they planned Win the election defeat Donald Trump prevent him from getting a second term in office is just to make sure that as much is shut down. As possible on that there's a cz much misery in this country, as is possible because misery benefits Democrats. They like it. They prefer it. It all works out for them. If everyone in this country is terrified at the economy, and look, we just went through a very bad economic quarter. They said. It's over 30% annualized contraction, but it's not going to be at that level. So some of the numbers on this you gotta pay close attention closer to a 9%. Actual contraction. But Yeah, There's some tough stuff going on. And covert 19 is the center of it all. And here in New York, I keep looking around people saying, you know, we're still on lock down, right? This is locked down. Can't go to a restaurant can't go to a gym can Go about your normal life. Streets are empty. No tourists. No, no, uh, hotels full of people. I mean, this New York's a different city right now, So let's let's all understand we're still under lock down. Okay. We have gotten very little back from what was taken from us in the earliest stage of this. And now the big narrative that you hear all across the country. From the news media from Democrats and increasingly from Republicans is if on ly we would obey the rules. If only we were better boys and girls, so to speak across America. Wearing our masks, washing our hands doing all this stuff. Could all be just fine. This would all just go away now. I don't want to get into Whether that's true or not, I think you know, so you know my feelings and that it's been made very clear from the many shows. I've been doing But how about this? What about thes rules for everyone? What is the government show us with its enforcement of these rules? What do we learn about how serious they are with these thes mandates that come down for all the rest of us? You've no doubt heard that in many places, including in the Tri State area. Certainly in New York. You cannot go to church now. The church is banned, and in California, they're really aggressive about making sure every knows that church service is less important than we'd shops and bongs stores and things like that. The government of California. Made that very obvious to anyone paying attention. And there were no efforts. In fact, there was encouragement from the public authorities who were taking rights away in Los Angeles and in New York and here with deBlasio. For the big protests that change nothing just made everything worse. Gave a big excuse for looting and rioting and arson. Black lives matter, as I have told you as a movement has made everything worse for everyone once again. Nothing gets better because of this movement, but the people that engage in the movement Oh, they're so proud of themselves standing up to tyranny, racism. And whatever else they want to throw into the mix, right? They haven't done any of those things really. It all just feels good to pretend It feels good and also to lash out. And put your political opponents your ideological opponents on defense. That's what really matters. That's the whole point of it. But we know that there has been these double standard. There's been a hypocrisy. That was perhaps most apparent. During that era of the protests, you know, in June into July, big protest, toppling statues, all the craziness all across America. Now we're told after they allowed that with with not a single Major liberal newspaper website TV station politician. None of the Democrats were saying this is reckless. Stop your mass gatherings..

Yeah. So my grandfather you with the state attorney, and you were the public center in Florida. And and then he became mayor in Jacksonville. So hey, spent his life serving the public and And doing his best to try to make this world a better place. It's really cool. That's a that's a great background. By the way. I've only been to Jacksonville once. We're talking about it earlier, the Super Bowl a number of years back the Eagles and the Patriots. I stayed on a cruise ship, so I didn't know it was fine. It was It was pretty small border. Yeah, I didn't mind it. I'm not. Jacksonville was a cool city. Yeah. Yeah, They got that. And then they got the players Championship. You see it out there. Up. So as you were, as you were going through this, just tell me how the process works. So you are the player representative when I understand Buster and Brandon Crawford are your assistants. How often would you communicate? With guys on the team about what was going on. And then you know when it came to a vote, or I mean, were you ever on a conference call on Tony Clark and Rob Manfred? We're negotiating or the other people involved. I mean, how active were you in this process? Yeah. So you know, you know, player leadership, we would probably talk nearly every day if not every other day. And when it came to informing the rest of team I tried to keep guys Informed, like, once or twice a week. You know, it was just the bullet points. The general going gone, always leaving the option there. Get in touch with me directly, you know if they wanted more details But at the end of the day, you know we were we were kind of Insulated a little bit from the direct negotiations usually falls under Tony, Um, our number two and in the the executive committee. To really go through and come come through all the negotiations event obviously inform the rest of the player reps after that and allow for questions and things like that. But those calls it happened like once a week. Maybe. And you know last like 34 hours. Austin Slater is joining us as the Giants are back in town. It's pop in London only here on the sports later. So now that everybody is back and you have this list of things that you must dio how difficult You think it's going to be to maintain it looks great on paper, but how realistic is it to maintain all these things and stay safe as possible? Yeah, You know, it's it's hard to really tell right now. From what I've seen, uh, they're setting up quite assistant for us to stay socially responsible. Ah! You know, we're staying right across the street pinball part, uh, hotels, just giant staff and players, so Right now. You know, I felt pretty comfortable. The protocols we got tested yesterday. On that will continue throughout the whole year. Every other day. Um, but at the end of the day, you know You guys just got their act responsibly, not just for themselves in their career, but for everyone involved in the organization that they're going to come and see my close contact with every day. I think the Giants have done a great job. They've invested quite a bit of money and resources and ah ah, adjusting the ball part to make it You know, say for making Ah, creating a brand new gym in the outfield. Ah new lunch room. Using both locker rooms, you know, for our spring spring practices. So, um, you know, I'm proud of this organization, and we're just gonna think Cat's going to talk to the guys. Just, you know, stressed the importance of being mature, responsible adults. I asked in the hotel in China Basin right across the street from the ballpark. How does that work are players who have homes in the Bay Area. Can they go to their homes? Are there going to be required to stay at least to the ramp up period? And then throughout the year? So how often we get to see you guys in that hotel? You know, you know, guys air obviously allowed to get their own place is this is just an option. You know, the Giants have provided. You guys, you know, maybe more influx or just like the Like the convenience of the hotel. The convenience in safety, Um Oh, yeah, Obviously, guys, they're allowed Tio. If they own places, air. They grant places do that, But obviously there's they're just comes more responsibility without that option, you know, too. Be safe and be actively social distancing and doing your best to say nothing. Austin Slater's Jonas Giants back in town. We get baseball underway. Hopefully, in a few weeks, obviously the big question for everybody and none of you guys really, I guess shark as because He did it in Baltimore when there was unrest there against the White Sox, but no fans in the stands What you think that's going to be like Yeah, it's gonna get really weird. I saw there were teams sports leagues that we're allowing fans to purchase cutouts and, yeah, throw cut out in the stands. Obviously, you can't recreate the fan noise. That's that low, like home That's always happening in the ballpark. So it's gonna be a little eerie. I think A little odd, but hopefully we can get used to it. You know, it's gonna Make us reminders of the easy L the lower levels of the minor leagues a little bit. The Giants actually reached out to me yesterday about sending in a picture for a cut out. So you maybe maybe seeing the right next to you. Come on, Slater. What are you swinging.
