"But because the hurricane Ida, they had to switch things up, and, uh or Oklahoma, I should say, very accommodating there in Norman. And they put the colors up for two lane and everything and made them as comfortable as possible there. They almost made it too comfortable because it ends up being a 42 35 games, and the Sooners had to kind of sweat that one out there. Uh, now you got the green wave. They're going to go to Oxford and take on a pretty good old Miss offense right now. The rebels of all, Miss minus 14 14.5. 76 a half high total. Is this one that, uh, you know, maybe I don't know. Maybe Oklahoma kind of took it for granted that you know, Two Lane was misplaced. You know, because of the hurricane, and maybe they were just not ready for that particular game. And maybe this is a good spot for Mississippi because we know that all Miss offense with Cora Corral can really move. Where's your take on this with Lane Kiffin at home. I think it's going to be very entertaining, and I understand the total of 76. I don't know that I could play over that high of a total. But I think what the lane showed against Ohio against Oklahoma is that even though when when they fell down, they didn't quit. They came back and made a game out of it. And I would expect more of the same at all. Miss Ole Miss. It's a regional rivalries of the extent of the states, or, you know, right next to each other Mississippi and Louisiana. But this is an opportunity for two lane to go in and have an effort against an SEC team. But these are the SEC team with, um Mississippi should be able to get get get the win, but I wouldn't be surprised. I live like Willie Fritz is the coach and she took over there. I expect to land to continue to play online last week when I liked you, A B against Georgia. I think the plane is maybe a little bit better than you, Abe. George is considerably better than all this. So I think that this will be a more competitive game than the one I expected out of Baby Georgia last week. I take the point with two lane. Dante Williams Energy interim coach there for Southern Cal. They go to the pollution. Rolovich you'll have, you know the, uh, the Cougars ready to Laura, who was the quarterback last year as the freshman now a sophomore. But Jared or in Tano came over from Tennessee. So we thought he was going to be the guy, but it's the Laura that's leading that offense. What about it? Do you take a shot at wazoo at home? Plus the 4.5 of they still have Max Borgia. They got Macintosh pretty good running back as well. And then they've got several solid receivers as they always do with Calvin Jackson Jr leading the way. Uh, I don't know if I want You know, late points with us, CNN. People go look, They're going to be fired up. They're going to be focused. But that defense did not look good against Stanford and the police is a word place to play. USCs had trouble a lot of times Thursday night or Friday nights, but still this is Saturday afternoon, and I'm not so sure that Southern Cow's gonna win this game and cover the spread. I just like to see him win the game first off. Yeah, Normally I would have liked to have played USC, but they have struggled up there in the pollution for a number of years. It's going to take a role of. It's a couple of more recruiting classes. To really get his type of football team together from what he inherited from from Mike Leach will be an entertaining game. I think you have the window. I am. Apparently they To visit. Apparently they like building quite a bit so they may be a little bit deflated and they come out and say, Hey, we crossed our coach his job. We know we're better than that. You know, we tell these, it's easier time against San Jose State. Maybe we took things for granted. We took a Stanford team that had just lost to Kansas State the week earlier. Maybe they took him for granted. So I think we get a good effort out of USC. Which is why I'm not going to play Washington State, but I don't know if the goodness the effort is going to be good enough Talent. Wise USA should be able to win by double digits, but I'm not sure with all the uncertainty that's been going around the campus this week that we're going to see that good effort. But if we if we get something resembling with good effort, that's something like, you know, 37 24 type game I don't want to make reduces sweat a little bit, but there's a game that just kind of looks like You know, don't overlook it because it could be one of those shockers And I'm talking about central Michigan going to l s u l s u, you know, lost that game to U C l. A went through the motions against McNeese State. Stay home. They get a Mac opponent, but it's a decent offense. Their central Michigan already went to Missouri only lost by 10 in their opener, 34 24. Then they play Robert Morris. No big deal there in the route, but to Central Michigan team that's got some offensive prowess in a pretty solid team. Do you look at taking the 19 19.5 points there or do you just stay away from this one? Probably stay away from it. But if I played it, I'd lay it. Okay. You would lay it. All right. That'll make reducing think that, uh, ls use a better team than they showed against. U C l A. I think we're still learning about you. ClA. We know that Kelly when he has an opportunity to put the throttle downhill, do it, So we'll find out a little bit more about heard you talking with Chuck about Fresno. I'd like to make a case for Fresno. But I'm not sure we've seen the best out of UC LA. You know, you go back to that game against Oregon as well. Well, that Fresno State played played so well, they're certainly capable of it. But Uh, you feel it has played better than I expected them to early in the season. So I want to wait until until they level off a little bit and see if this is indeed this is indeed Chip Kelly type team that has a legitimate chance to win the Pac 12 5 South or is this just a thing? They are off the hot start. Here you go. What about you and.

"Healthy, all natural ingredients in 20% of all banged biscuit sales would be given back to handpicked partners in the pet industry. Play the day Stat of the day poll question all of that. Forthcoming in recent years. College football has been all about offense and even the traditionally conservative Alabama teams. They are starting to rack up a ton of points, but the defense got revenge on the opening weekend. Clemson and Georgia. I tuned in. I thought maybe we would see some high powered offenses. Nope. Neither team scored an offensive touchdown in their showdown on Saturday night. Georgia coming away with the 10 3 win, thanks to a pick six. And Penn State's defense. They salvaged a dramatic went over Wisconsin Virginia. Text defense dominated North Carolina, Iowa forced turnovers to blow out Indiana. And there's still good offenses. But Alabama's defense look ferocious in a blowout win against Miami. You know, it's almost like we look at Alabama, and we expect them to be more often reminded than defensive minded but they look great against Miami. And sometimes the offences will start out slowly. You know, defense feels like the first couple of weeks. They usually, uh you know, we shine the spotlight on them a little bit more than the offenses get going. You get the rhythm. You have new players quarterback system. And then, uh, you know, week one might be an anomaly, but maybe it's time to have a little balance shift. In college football. The defenses are making a little bit more of a comeback in 2021, Mike Love. And what kind of poll question we're looking at today. Okay, We're going to start with college football. Who had the worst weekend. This from Paul, of course, skewing negative. The Indiana Hoosiers, the Miami Hurricanes the Clemson Tigers. The L S U tigers. I don't think you put Florida state on there, even though that was somewhat heartbreaking, But I'm curious if you think they would belong in the worst weekend, Paul No, I think I think Florida State had a good weekend that they went toe to toe with a good Notre Dame team. Mac Milton unbelievable comeback he had played in central Florida had been out of football for three years, came back and nearly led Florida State to a comeback win. He's going to join us on the program tomorrow, but I wouldn't put Florida State in there. LSU. Getting manhandled by UC LA was really surprising because you feel like okay SCC football going against U C L A U C L A man handled l s u upfront and that's a big big win. Huge win for Chip Kelly. And, you know, coach. Oh, going back into Southern California now, you know you expect him that you're gonna bring some swagger back. This was an LSU team that wasn't very good last year. And that's not a good start at all. So I would put else you on there. Who else do you have probably had Indiana I was disappointed that Michael panics was so good last year. Yeah, I mean, Indiana was a great story last year, but I don't know if they're a great story. This year. I was always one of those schools where you go. Oh, that's right. Kirk parents, They're going to get 89 wins. It just feels like every single year. How about Clemson? Do they belong on a worst weekend poll? Just because of the way they played offensively? You know that offensive line I was I was shocked. Now. Georgia has two great defensive lineman. According to Mel Kiper. I mean, these are top five Top seven defensive lineman in America. They certainly showed that in that wind I mean that that was That was an impressive performance. You're going to shut down Clemson like that. But that offensive line with Clemson that was That was really what was surprising. What else? Uh, another poll question. I'm going to put up the worst weekend see where the votes are. But would you take Alabama or the field after this weekend to win it all? I'll tell you and I bet If we put this up, Alabama would win. Probably Probably Ohio State look good. Um and Georgia look good. Oklahoma was okay. I mean, you're playing too late and you give up 35 point. It's early, but yeah, people would probably side with Alabama over the field. I wouldn't Not yet. But you know, Bryce Young looked really good. But this is you know the week to week reaction that we have. We have to have that. I know exactly what this team is all about. I know who's good and who's not. There's going to be in a month from now. What we say today we could play back a month from now. We're like, Oh, that's right. I don't know what I was thinking. What else? Uh, By the way, you just declare Bryce Young, the Heisman frontrunner Because we have, of course. Uh, Okay. What is it more entertaining kind of game? This is so obvious. But Notre Dame, Florida State back and forth wild game or a defensive, old fashioned battle between Clemson and Georgia. Which did you enjoy more? Notre Dame in Florida State was just That you know. Notre Dame needed 18 points in the fourth quarter, forcing overtime. I thought Notre Dame was going to blow out Florida State the way they started. I just thought, Okay, you've got an experienced quarterback. Came from Wisconsin. You got a tight end, you will play in the NFL. You got a free safety is going to play in the NFL. I mean, Notre Dame has got skill position players. I mean, they got pros on that team. And you know it's it's unlike other Notre Dame teams, it feels like that there's a physicality to them. Defensively. They've got great athletes there. I thought that they were going to rough up Florida State. That was a big surprise to me that all of a sudden I'm going. How is this going into overtime? What else? My.

"And when you're getting out physical by UC LA That's got to be a problem because the Bruins were laying the wood in that game from start to finish, And ultimately, they didn't just win. They sent else. You home with its tail between its legs that Amber is what I think The biggest concern for l s U is that they got pushed around that field on Saturday night. And they ran all over them unless you just didn't have an answer for a lot of what you clock was doing. And L s. You should be the more talented team. That should be the advantage that Ed Orgeron has there in a matchup against a use LA It does not look good in week one. I would just tempered by saying, okay, it is week one. And although yes, it looks extra bad because we're talking about five and five last season as well. So it's hard to forget that now it feels like we're going through multiple years of this else. You program being on a downward trajectory. I just also would What to see more from this else you team to see how much that displacement had an effect, even though it kind of feels like we're making more excuses for LSU, and at some point, the excuses have to run out like at some point, it can't be pandemic Hurricane all this other stuff like At some point, it's got to just come down to football and playing football butter. Oregon was shaky against Fresno State. They have Ohio State on deck. Washington got upset by Montana, the Pac 12 North not off to a great start, but the South is legit. KLA is going to be a tough out. USC is going to be a tough out. Utah is going to be fantastic in Arizona State is going to be very solid under Herm Edwards as well. "How are you? Thanks, Sean. Happy Labor Day Weekend view. I'm doing well. Yeah, yeah. No, it was. It was a fun weekend. We still got a couple more games to go, I guess, Um, let me start with last night's game between U. C. L A and LSU. How much time do you think and wars run? Gets from that, like, what kind of what? What's the length of his rope that he gets because of winning that national title in 2019. Well, you get a bit of rope, but I would say is used a bit of rope. You know, l s u is not a school that tolerate any extended period of mediocrity, Which is what else you Gave them in 2020 and even such a weird season than it was, and I think it's So it's even less than what else you are even more than what else you provided last night. I think calling that mediocre would be almost too much of a compliment. Too generous to add origin, so I don't know exactly what the administration in Dallas he was thinking, but I don't think that it is. We are happy with this and we are okay with the current trajectory. Yeah. I mean, I feel like the winter out of that whole thing might be Joe Brady and Joe Burrow like were they that big an outlaw where they such outliers that they were able to to carry Edward Garon to a national championship back in 2019. Think Ed Orgeron deserves a lot of credit for that national championship because Joe Brady and Joe Burrow wouldn't have been there without at Orgeron, and I think that it's important to keep sight of that. But Yes, it certainly does look like ls use offense was not, you know it was not replicable. Once. Joe Burrow moved on. Once Joe Brady moved on. And once Jamaar Chase and Jordan Jefferson moved on, and That s Moss and a number of offensive lineman. I mean, it was really special offense. Top to bottom, and no, they have not really. Given much of a look at repeating that in the last One year and one game. Alex Kirshner split zone, Do a podcast talking college football with me on CBS Sports Radio Alex on the other side of that game. Is Chip Kelly. Finally back. Is this U C l A team? Is this a team that That can maybe sneak in and take a Pac 12 that might be there for the taking in 2021. Maybe I don't know exactly what the standard is for us to declare Chip Kelly back, but he did look like he really built a smart offensive game plan last night. Uh, you feel I did a few things, particularly with its run game that looked old Chip Kelly or again early early. Philadelphia Eagles ask and Ls you did not want answers for it. I think the U C l a a lot more physical than they've been the first couple years of his 10 years. So I didn't There's reason to be pretty optimistic about UC la You know whether Chip Kelly is back or not? Playing at a much higher level than they have played in. Sometimes I think I'd be optimistic right now, if I were you, Seeley person. Okay, So the other big game last night. Obviously, that all eyes were on was Clemson and Georgia and thing turned out to be a street fight. 10 to 3 Final score. Um, what's the takeaway offensively for both of these teams? I mean, you know, they both got big name quarterbacks, but neither the quarterbacks could generate any touchdowns. Step for you, Angela Lee for the other team. Um what's the big takeaway? Is this these two teams that are that are going to be taking steps backwards. Offensively. This year was this just to really good defense is out there in a game that had a Sort of a defensive culture to it last night. I think in Clemson's case, yes, they're probably taking a step backwards. Offensively. That happens when you have Trevor Lawrence. And then all of a sudden you don't have Trevor Lawrence anymore. I think that Clemson has real offensive line problems and Georgia Exposed that much the same way frankly, that Ohio State exposed it in the playoffs semifinal last year. I think Clemson has always sort of gotten by as an elite team in college football. Without having the same offensive line factory that some of its appears at that top level of had, And you know, it perhaps shouldn't be surprising that that doesn't last forever and that Georgia had a pretty easy time with Clemens wine, I think, in George's case Don't know if they're taking a step back offensively, but I don't know if that's the issue. I think the issue is that Georgia needs to take steps forward offensively, and we didn't see any hints of that last night. I think to be fair to Georgia. We've got a number of injuries and a number of absences that are not injury related. Uh, most notably George Pickens, who's their best receiver, and Derek Gilbert, who was a kind of tight end receiver hybrid, his wife for personal reasons. Should be really important parts of that offense, and they just weren't there. So getting those players back If they can would probably be a pretty big help. If you can't then you've got to figure something out, and it did not look like they had figured that out last night. No and back to Clemson for a second. Look, if you're going to lose I suppose Alex. It's best to lose in week one to another Top five team, You know that's about that's about as recoverable scenarios you can come up with, except for the fact that at least one weekend of the season the A. C C. You know, there are other teams that they had in the top 15 both lost in North Carolina. And obviously Miami. Getting blown out by Alabama is there enough left on this schedule here? It's found sounds weird to say this about Clemson. But is there enough on this schedule here to where they can feel confident that if they run the table and win the that they'll get there, they'll get the bid that they usually expect to get each year into the postseason. Think it all depends on what happens elsewhere at the top of college football, But I do think it's worth noting that there's only been one team in the six or seven year history. Now, the playoff that has won a power five conference and had one loss or fewer. And not made it And that was 2018, Ohio State, historically. Pretty good recipe for making the playoffs is to lose one game or less than being a power Five conference that Ohio State team has missed out had gotten destroyed by a average Purdue team, and I think that's a much less forgivable lost. And what Clemson had against Georgia. So I do not think that Clemson is necessarily out. I think that if Clemson runs the table, it's likelier than not that they'd be in. But you know the The unfortunate thing for them is that There could be a scenario where that's not true..

"That's cool. You know, Omaha, Omaha, Nebraska this time of year. I mean, you can just the humidity is just going to be awful, too. But I'm going to ask you because so many you know the drafts coming up and so many kids are going to have the decision that you probably had, and others had, which is you know, you went to Saint Francis. And then you went to U. C L. A You go pro. Do you go to college? Crystallize that that decision for us as far as how you see it, because there's lots of kids who are going to get drafted out of high school and they may go in the first couple of rounds and get a good bonus or they may not. But That argument is like, hey, if you want to be a pro baseball player, you ought to start, you know, being a pro baseball player early versus the value of the whole college experience and the college development. How hard of a decision is that for guys? Well, Larry, I think you've got to ask yourself. You know, a few different questions. Like what? You know. What do you want to what do you want to do? Right? Like like, What are we trying to accomplish? Here is the goal to be Major League baseball player, and that's the end all be all and I'm going to you know, I want to start this process ASAP. Then then, even if you do Answer that question. And the answer is yes. Then. You have to ask yourself. What's the best route to get there? And I realized that anyone would tell you, Bo. Hey, it's center pro ball in this map, Whatever. But You know what you entered professional baseball. The cost starts. And there's a certain amount of time that you're going to have. And so when you go there and you sign a special contract, you better be ready. You better be ready to play. And I could I could tell you that Look at 18 years old coming out of ST Francis, a 38 round draft pick by the Dodgers. Was I ready to go to? I think it's great falls, Montana it and start this journey. Um, to play professional? I don't know. I think I want to figure it out. I think I would be fine. But I also had a vision of part of the process, including college and going to college for at least three years, if not four years. So then, three years later. Was drafted in the fourth round by the Houston Astros. And then at that point, I had a difficult decision to make because They had signed Landsberg been with their first pick, and they didn't think Lance Berkman is going to follow on. So they Astros basically wasted all their money short changed everyone after that. They didn't sign their 2nd 3rd or fourth round pick. It's got to be one of the only teams in the history of baseball to ever do that. And so I went back to UCLA. And you know, when I made that decision, it was. I think I was. I was a lot. Um Say headier in a way where it's like, look. If I believe in my ability I do. I do believe my ability to run the question. Uh, I knew I could play in the big reach, but I also said Look, if I go play one more year. U C l A. All I'm doing is skipping out on a euro minor leagues where another year in the pack is just as good in the minor leagues. But I also knew that when I signed the clock was going to be able is going to be chicken and I was going to have a two year window to figure it out. And it didn't mean I had to get the big we went in two years. I definitely had to be on the knocking on the door of the big least. And it literally was exactly like two years from what I'd signed where I made my major league debut and It's uh but it's look everyone's different. Um, you know, I don't I think now I look at it more as like a father. Right? Where? What? What if what would you tell your kids What if your kid had a scholarship to one of these big time Smalls, Vanderbilt or Stanford or UC LA and they could go get a great education and they go play college baseball for 34 years. And what if they happen to be a really high round draft pick and you have this opportunity to go play professional baseball? Ultimately, I think it's a kid that has to make that decision and I talk it Jack lighter, for example. Jack. Later I met when he was 11 years old. And Jack lighter. I was working without MLB is where I first started there. So I followed his progress and progress and progress and progress. Old son. He's 18 years old, and he's coming out as well. The top pitching prospects in the country work I'm doing scouting reports on Jack Wider saying like this dude might be A top 10 pick. And he actually slaughtered more in that 10 to 20 range of where he actually would have ended up. I think we had like 18 or so that's remembered being like late teens and I talked. I talked out now how signed out of high school and then went on to pitch 20 years in the big leagues and his More than financially taking care of for the rest of his life. He's made some really good investments along the way as well. So money is not an issue right. It was zero issue for Jack Euro issue for Al Um And I said it doesn't matter who drafts him. I don't care if he goes number one. Overall, he's going to college. And it was like really like is that are you that passionate about? He said. Yep. He's like I am And sure enough, Jack wider with the college and his freshman year through no hitter, and now we're looking at at Jack. Potentially being the number one pick in the draft, uh, coming up and he's developed into one of the best pitchers ever in college baseball. He's he's really that good. So I just you know that's that's else perspective..

"He was a champion at UC LA and, of course, five time All Star. He's also a great actor, which will get into that coming up in a moment. He's Marcus Johnson, the Bucks TV analyst for Fox Sports. Milwaukee. Marcus. Thanks for joining us, Um what did you think? Last night when you saw the Greek freak go up to contest, Clint Capela? Well, Good morning, Dan. First of all, um You know it. It reminded me of of an injury that I had When I played with the books. I got kicked. Trying to contest the jump shot by a player by the name of Paul Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the early eighties and money. Hyper extended back like that got locked. It was most painful injury that I've ever had as a basketball player, but I went to the locker room. Just networker are great trainer in Milwaukee at the time worked on it a bit, and I actually returned in the second half of Don Nelson told me that I was going to be out for the year based on the on the reaction that I had. And so the Sianis kind of loosen it up a little bit. Walk on his own was was promising. But, um, you know, everybody started texting me right away. And it's kind of like, why does this always kind of happen to us? Why can't we never have good things in Milwaukee happened to us, But, you know, we gotta wait to see what happens. I'm hopeful that You know, if we can extend this thing to 1/7 game, maybe he can get back. If not, you know, we'll see. We'll see what the M r. I says today. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm not ruling him out right now, until I hear definitively that he's got some kind of a tear or something that's going to prevent him from playing. And it might come down to the supporting cast for the box against the supporting cast for the Atlanta Hawks. And if that's the case Who has the advantage. Man. That's a tough one because of this, Dan and and let me preface this by saying that I'm just really impressed with the job that these African American coaches are doing in the playoffs between Ty Lue and Monty Williams. And and then my God, Nate McMillan that was with him in Seattle. Uh, you may recall with George Karl and the Sonics in the mid mid nineties. I just always compare him to Sydney. 48. Call him mister Tibs because he's got that quiet, kind of elegance and dignity. But they call me Mr Tibs. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, but But but But Nate You know this whole thing but connected like a fist. And you know that the calming influence? I think it's a big key for them. But more tangibly Bogdanovich the knee speaking of knees, the knee is looking better. He looked really good, really Mobile, especially his activity on defense herder came on or whatever they call it. It has been a real Real revelation. I've always liked it. But now he's kind of taking his taking that step to the next level. Uh, and you go along with the other guys who are playing exceptional basketball for them, and they can British. It's funny camera as I was talking to my son, Chris, and he's like Cam Reddish is the guy like like the he's the guy that all the young players kind of look up to. Anthony Edwards says that camera is that dude, you know, I didn't know that I don't care whether she had that kind of reputation kind of coming up in the air you race. He looked good last night. So we've got enough Chris Middleton, and here's the other point. I don't want to Get too long winded, But you got a lot of guys. Kendrick Perkins. Stephen Jackson talking about Chris Middleton is the Batman. And Janice is the Robin Chris's are closer because he can shoot and shoot with the best of them down the stretch. Now we'll get a chance to see, uh, just how truthful of an observation like that is, and that's not to put the pressure on Chris because he he did a great job when Chris when Gallas went down against Miami last year, he's done a great job this year when he's had to carry the low. We saw what he could do, Uh, the game before last, with a 20 point fourth quarter, but But Chris is the kind of guy that can under certain circumstances carry you, But you're honest. Take so much pressure off of him because of the gravity he creates. And so it's a symbiotic type of relationship between the two, So we'll see. We'll see how it pans out. We got enough to do it. The question is mentally. Will we be able to, uh Kind of quell this hawk or not. This momentum. They built this last ballgame, so we'll see. You know it'll be it'll be fascinating. CI plays out. Either way, you start to look at players in today's generation, and I know you and I would go. I remember back in the seventies or eighties and guys would play and they would have, you know injuries like there's load management here, But these guys are in the best shape. They got nutrition. They got trainers. They got private travel. So I'm trying to figure out Is it just a coincidence that we have these injuries here? If I have load management, then should we be having as many injuries as we have, and and there's some some you can't prevent. But I didn't think that Anthony Davis was in shape. I didn't think that James Harden was in shape this year. And he got load management. So what is the difference in generations? You know, with these guys and how they prepare and how you did, you know, back in the seventies or eighties. Well, it's interesting because we worked harder like myself. For example, guys used to hate to work out with me because I worked really hard, especially, I mean the elite frogs with £25 weights behind my back. So now I'm paying the price. So now I've got I've got all kinds of issues and hip issues and everything You know, I was talking to Yanda's. Probably two years ago, and I asked him about his off season workouts. I mean, how much he ran and did you run beaches and hills and he's like, no, no, I just do a lot of defensive slides and I play a lot of basketball. And so it looks a lot of weight, and there's a lot of cardio stuff in terms of the machines and equipment, and that's that type of Step two. But it's a different approach. But also dad. I mean, this was the quickest turnaround. You know all this stuff. Quick, quickest turnaround and professional sports history from when the bubble season ended to win this season started the condensed scheduling of the 72 games was as convinced as it's ever been. You're playing every other day. I mean, you know, these guys just Their bodies aren't used to that kind of taxation on their skeleton system, if you will, and so I think a lot of that had to do with that. And so it's but my point is that it's a given tape. So yeah, I worked out hard to let unconventional, crazy stuff, leaping machines and all this other crazy stuff he had back in the day, but I'm paying the price for it. Now. These guys are probably not have as many post career Issues, but This game of basketball out there 40 minutes a game playoff intensity, doing the things that you're doing. I've always believed Case in point with Goddess and Chris Middleton. Coach Brad first got the Milwaukee They were playing just over 30 minutes a game? Yeah, point was that when the playoffs get here, man, you're gonna be playing 40 minutes a game and so are people were like we've got other ways to compensate for that without Putting a lot of pressure on the skeletal system..

All this kind of stuff has been To conquer this golf course. And ah We'll talk about whether he's goingto do it. And then, of course, what about Tiger? Hey, Ryan. We have Jalen Sammy ready to go on. It sounded like Sami is what they said. So we'll have that discussion coming up in the next segment right now, though, I want to welcome on Our first guest. He is a sophomore defensive tackle for the Colorado Buffaloes started. 11 of C used 12 games as a freshman totaling 25 tackles in a sack. He was an a team award winner for his work last year. The Buffs are now looking to move to two anos Saturday as they take on Stanford. The pride of Vista Ridge High School. Jalen Sammy is my gas, Jalen! Good to have you on, man. How are you? Good. Glad to be here. Yeah, my pleasure. You know you guys were viewed as underdogs coming into this game. I don't know that you guys viewed yourselves as underdogs, but certainly the way you came out against UC LA You left no doubt that you guys were the better team and you held on Throughout the the game. Um I'm sure that you guys in that locker room aren't as surprised about Saturday's result, as maybe some people around the Pac 12 are Yeah. You were just prepared and plant a way that Um, it's game which population that we have. Spoken from our own rose in everyone, 11 hats doing wrong job and just as long as long on the same page and By marking our butts around. Flying around on Thing will be a dominating because of just one of our main focus is Just tryingto get the ball back too often You see a lake on finishing second downs. And China, the country enough Each series, but we definitely came for Peg, and that's just how our coaches left as changes too. Like practice each day as if it's a game directed. So that was part of operation that I'd like to say. You know it is talking about doing your job. It seemed like a job that you guys had to do on Saturday was the force turnovers. I mean, turnovers are huge. In any game. Every team wants to win the turnover battle, but it just the way that you guys were flying around out there ripping at the ball and some like it seemed like there was An extra emphasis on on taking the ball way is that is that a fair assessment because you guys were ableto force four turnovers in the first half? Um, there's actually a big speak in our defence. Um, this is one of the points of emphasis that we focus on him. Every day is The ball. The most important thing of the game is the ball. So, um, for defense is stopping the run getting the door in our own office, his hands so they they could score. So that's what we did as soon as the first whistle believe, and We just hope to improve, Keep improving. Invited. We set such a high standard this first game that we've got to keep. You surprised or is enough to have standards as well? You know, Carl Daryl made every attempt to say you know this game. This game wasn't about him with his connection to you. Lady didn't want to make it about him. I'm sure throughout the week. Why he let you guys know this isn't about him. This is about you, but from your perspective from the team's perspective, I would imagine that you really wanted to get this. This first win for coach Darryl. Well. Are closed during put emphasis on mom. Good. Tell your lead team we have leaders on just That everything we do is transparent and Problem. They were all on the same page and that our communication is they're so honestly, we we just wanted to come out and time heads just along that He knows that we maybe rank bottom of ranking doesn't mean anything. Dona on the game Saturday comes out on top. Just without preparation. We tryto recreate every game. Look, Karl Dorrell didn't recruit you, of course. But I'm listening to you talk about the way that he prepared you guys throughout the week. It sounds like even though Karl Dorrell wasn't the guy that ultimately brought you to Boulder that you've so far enjoyed your time playing for him. I love I love it here, especially being a You know in state approved players on Players that are here that bond, family and friendship and brotherhood. I just feel that I can't let my players down on my brothers down. So try to make every play and give it 100 and 10%, even if you're wrong. We did have a few mistakes in the games wasn't a perfect game, and we knew that it was going to be. There's just gonna be a fight. So that's why But I love it here cause your own always all about fight. And especially the big man shares the love in the entrance to some, um Our office because line They are the backbone of the team. So If we, though, I was reporting by two Two years ago. "In that time he won 10 national championships. Seven of those were in a row. And yet every season at UC LA when he was head coach, the first practice always began with the players huddled around John Wooden sitting on the floor. And John Wooden would say, Gentlemen, this is how we put on our socks and shoes. This is how we tie our shoes. But why did he do that? Well, he didn't want his players to get blisters. For one thing. He didn't want their shoes to come off while they were playing. And for gardeners. There is the lesson. Ladies and gentlemen, this is how we water plants. What are you talking about? You're saying you've watered plants your whole life? Of course. You know howto water, do you? Well, gather round. Coach Debbie Flower is going to teach us how to water Our garden. So I turn it over now to the coach OK, professor of horticulture, retired Debbie Flower and Debbie Watering your plants. It's part art. It's part science. It's part craft. And maybe a little bit of luck, too. There is an art watering people, I think don't realise that it's a technique and you have to know how to do it and do it correctly. If your plans we're going to thrive. Time we taught them to water was when we were planting things into containers, primarily seeds, but also transplanting. Maybe rooted cuttings from one container to another container and the students would do their planting part. And one rule I've always had was no matter what kind of planting we were doing Always the last thing you do is water, always water. Want a water to settle the the particles around the roots or around the feed and you want Teo lean your plant or seed in a moist environment. But it's very easy to over water or water too hard, especially if there's a seed in their water too hard. You'll not eat right out of the container and have nothing and come up in that pot. And that would be a shame for all that effort to go away. So he taught the students out of water, and that Was to use the correct nozzle. We like DRAM products and and use trim D R A. M M is a very good, uh, commercial. They make commercial watering products for greenhouse production, and anyone could buy them And we would use the red novel in the DRAM product on the end of a watering wand. And have the students turned the water on to a nice shower and then stand back from there tray of plants and turn the water. So it's up in the air. You're not directing it directly down onto the plants or shooting up in the air. And then you come down as a soft rain storm and you water until you see water comes out the bottom of the pot, which is a little hard to evaluate because you're applying water at the same time. So you want to see some water collect on the surface, and then she would come down below the container and hope that it is truly going to the pot. If you have any question, whether it did you water them. The container. Let the water drain through and then knock it out of the pot and make sure that the soil is wet all the way to the bottom. Was there a number you could assign to this? For example, if the plants were in a one gallon container or two gallon container, would you count to 10 for the one count to 20 for the two? Counting is actually used a lot in and professional horticulture to evaluate whether enough water is being applied. It's a number that you have to come to for yourself because it depends on the media that you're using, and the rate at which you're applying the water. But it's good. I do it all the time. In my I have lots of plants in containers, both inside and outside, and I count when I water eye watering can and I count to six for a gallon and 12 for something bigger. Actually, six is not enough for a gallon for me. And when I did my master's work as U. C. Davis, and we had to water plants as part of the Experiment. That's how we applied the water, and so we went outside with the hose, and we were going to use it. So the DRAM wand and a five gallon bucket and turned the water on and stood over the five gallon bucket and counted. That whatever was comfortable pace for us until we fill the bucket. And then we knew how long it takes to apply five gallons of water a number one or a one gallon pot. It takes about a leader of water in order to or a court of water to thoroughly wet. The media, in most cases vary somewhat by the media. But in most cases, and so you do the math and come up with how long toe hold that hose over that pot and apply only a court of water. So, yes, Counting is definitely something to get to know about yourself. How your ho supplies water, how your media except water and then how much water is needed for each container? I've been trying to do the math in my head while you were speaking. So give me the number as far as how long it would usually take to fill a five gallon bucket with water. Let's say ah! 2.5 minutes. Alright, 2.5 minutes using the shower setting on the nozzle, right, all right. And then you take that and convert it to a one gallon container, which is not truly a gallon. This is ah, one gallon term for a pot at a nursery. He's usually a pot. That's what about eight inches wide and tall. Yes. So we'll call it about that. So you were saying that is about a quart capacity. What with it with media in there. The space left over is about water is about a court. Yes, All right, so we know that would be 1/20. Five gallons, because therefore courts per gallon So so if it took 2.5 minutes to fill that five gallon bucket, it would take 1/20 of 2.5 minutes. So we have to convert 2.5 minutes two seconds, so that would be 150 seconds. And right. 1/10 of 150 seconds is 15..

a lot a large company anybody ever that explicit I mean to say you know we're here to protect you from yourself because we don't think you're bright enough to handle this type of material I mean if if they were that opened it most of us would say stick it but they are dead but are they know they're rarely that opened but then again you'll have certain cities and say that we're here to protect you and so we don't want you to be able to buy a sugary soft drinks because we don't think you're smart enough to make that decision on your own if you can make that leap for a beverage that you my concern why wouldn't be difficult for you to understand that somebody might say well for certain information locations would be worried about sports so there's no question that enterprises individuals should be aware that any time you can be traced a button on your movements can be tagged but it could be used against you either for commercial purposes or for political purposes our government persons all right now the one thing that I think it is important to keep in mind here is who has the say so here and it would seem to me that any such applications should always default to knoll that is to say if you're going to for example make your exact location the old as long as you're carrying your smartphone that that should not be of the default the default should be no you don't know where I am and you was very deliberately and explicitly say yes before it happens that is absolutely my position as well too many of these opt opt out provisions for applications or other kinds of services are complex convoluted you look at this two or three pages of a list of things that may or may not happen and you start losing over your eyes your readers so clearly you have to be in a position that if you don't agree to consciously to say you can use this data for this following purpose it should not be there it is a concept of privacy lost already irretrievably no I don't it's Walter retrievable but there is in fact certain dynamics of our up the world of our electronic world where in fact privacy is being redefined and and I think the some of the legislation and some of the the perversions we see out of the European GDPR California CCPA there's multiple others these are efforts to hand back control over individuals privacy as to the individual these are all good things but we're gonna have to continue to educate the public so they're aware as well Tom Kelly president and CEO of IT experts their website I the experts Corp C. O. R. P. dot com it's fourteen before the hour should we open or should we stay close the question confronting many business owners that when American morning continues after these messages at CDW we.
