"Know the story of UCF. The Knights play in the American They've been party Crashers, knocking on the door of a college football playoff playing in New Year, six bowl games, and they had another chance against a power five opponent yesterday. In George attack, and wouldn't you know UCF did it again? Do not play the night because you had a wave got a lot of lumps on a Sunday morning. Here's how it sounded in the UCF radio network. Snap. Dylan's gonna throw his past to the corner is Touchdown. Williams. What an exclamation point of drive with just a man catch for a touchdown. Mark Daniels on the UCF Radio network. Final score. UCF 14th ranked knights 49. George ATTACK 21 UCF once again proves it has all the ability all the talent all the coaching to put up big numbers and dominate power. Five phones again. This was never a game tonight. Put up nearly 50 points today, C C team. And UCF crew for more than 400 yards, four touchdown to the air at 2 43 on the ground as well. They really could not be stopped. What an impressive victory by UCF even if Georgia Tech is going through a major Kind of rebuild here, no matter what, Remember, George, take it come off the victory over Florida State last week. So for the jackets to come off a win over F s U and then get pounded by UCF once again don't sleep on the Knights. This is why it's always a shame that the college football playoff does not allow enough space for the party crackers like you see, you have to get in there because you see F or teams like that deserve spots when they prove that they could go into a place where It's a power five phone and not.

University of South Florida has Few Positive Coronavirus Cases Due to Random Testing

"Of South Florida has far fewer positive corona virus cases than most other Florida universities. It's had 129 positive cases compared over 900, both Florida State and UCF. The dean at USF's College of public health doctor, Donna Petersen says. One way they've kept the numbers down is through random testing. It also lets us begin to estimate the prevalence of the virus on our campus and the beauty of statistics. Is it allows you to draw a small sample. UCF, meanwhile, announced it will announce it will begin randomly testing students and faculty for covert 19.

"Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden picks Kamala Harris as his running mate. He maybe hoping she can help carry Florida. The idea is that she will help in a number of battleground states. If the Democratic Party and the Biden teen now the Biden Harris ticket can really mobilized African American voters. But UCF political scientist Aubrey Jewett says Harris is law enforcement background could turn off the more progressive factions of the Democratic Party.

Your Site May Be Fined $15,000+ By The US Government. Here's How To Avoid That.

"Welcome to a another episode of marketing. School I'm Eric Zoo and I'm Neil Patel and today we're GonNa talk about how your site may be fined fifteen thousand dollars by the United States government if you're in the US and here's how you can actually avoid it. So Neil. Do you remember what the thing is actually called? I don't know the exact name but I do know. People are getting sued over accessibility issues for the Handicap Yup. So here's what it is. It's called the section five eight of the Department of Justice's EDA. American with disabilities act standards for accessible design could expose your company to hefty fines and risk of expensive criminal and civil litigation as a reputation for being unfriendly to disabled. I've seen some people that have been fine. Fifteen thousand dollars. Plus by out even say predatory law firms that are just looking to make a buck right. They're looking to take advantage here. So you out to protect yourself. But what have you seen yet? I've seen a lot. I got text messages from people being find all the time. And if you'll on the NEIL PATEL DOT COM website I had this little icon I ended up paying per service called excessive access dot Com and you can click on it and it has a virtual keyboard accessibility mode stop animations you can adjust bond sizes readability emphasize titles the list keeps going on and on changing contrast screen. Reader adjustments cure navigation. Like it literally has to make a page more accessible even printer friendly. When you're looking at years right now are you on the whole dot com bottom left corner. Ucf HANDICAP HANDICAP wheelchair. Aw Oh look whoa. That's really nice. How should they think cost you? I think it's around two thousand dollars. A year is not bad. Oh a while making money on it. They're making money for sure. So yeah I pay per three websites I believe it is maybe three or four but all our main tides we pay for this kind of stuff because because you have to or else you're I don't WanNA get too. Yeah Yeah Okay Well Cool. You can pay for this. It's a very elegant solution. I love it actually or there is another option. It's free if you're using press. There is a wordpress plugin. It's called says ability by User Way. So that's you the letter. U. S. E. R. W. A. Y. And it looks like it was. It's got over twenty thousand installs four and a half star rating and You can install the plugin and you are good to go and you can protect yourself from the predators L. I get make sure you guys do it if you're going after. Us traffic it'll save you money. We're seeing unintended. People getting sued rolling up to larger company Spurs. But still. Everyone should do it. You can either do the free solution or the paid solution will all help

College Football Playoffs

"We mentioned were three three and a half hours away from the College Football playoff show on. ESPN where will everyone follow so much. Interesting where Alabama is going to be because I think we know who the top three are going to be joining us on the day of once again. Always great to have south on so seth. Let's talk about the the the elephant in the Room Alabama. What what do you know about them? And what are the are the projections. Now we think that Alabama is still very much in this playoff race and they're actually not in a bad spot at all we give him the fourth best shot to reach the playoff at forty one percent. And if you're an Alabama fan what he cares if they win out. Where where do you stand and at eleven and one we put Alabama Emma at a sixty nine percent chance to get into the College Football playoff? That's according the playoff predictor and I think it really comes down to their schedule which a lot of people knock it. We're we're saying is really really not as bad as people think if you compare that to say Oklahoma schedule Alabama. We'll have three games. that are tougher than Oklahoma's toughest games and toughest office game. And if you compare the two if Alabama eleven one and Oklahoma's at twelve and one according to our numbers is about twice as hard to go eleven to one Alabama schedule as it is to go twelve and one with Oklahoma's take that boomer sooner. Listen let's get to the next most asked question on this program Ken to SEC teams get into the playoffs. Yeah absolutely in fact not only absolutely we put at fifty six fifty seven percent chance of big thing the happened over the weekend was not just the Lsu Alabama game but penn state going down. That really helps open the door for the to put two teams in so there's a few different ways. He's this could happen. I mean I think the obvious one is is the one that most people think of. LSU continues to roll they win the SEC. Alabama gets at eleven to one but there are other scenarios. What of Georgia tr? You know what if they went out and they end up winning the SEC and And be an otherwise undefeated. LSU So there's a couple different paths for the SEC. And we think that some combination of those teams teams is a decent shot. The two of them will get in. So let's talk about Ohio State no issue because I was just gonNA use myself an example ask you to psychoanalyze. I analyse me and be nice to me. I had Ohio state number one all of a sudden. I go to Tuscaloosa Saturday win and I checked the box next morning. LSU number one. Explain the differences between these two teams. Paul I'm with you so I don't have much to offer. I can't call you crazy here today. I look here's the difference right so. LSU In Ohio state or wanted to record but if you look at that doesn't tell the whole story so Lsu and average top twenty five team to be undefeated with LSU schedule. We only think there's a one percent chance an average top twenty five team could pull that off whereas for Ohio state is a sixteen percent chance they had an easier road so much more They LSU tigers have accomplished much more than Ohio state and so to me they deserve to be number one Given the win in over Alabama. Now I want to get to Clemson for a second. Because they are the forgotten team of twenty nine thousand nine. They started Out as the reigning Champs Trevor Lawrence and and you know they play these Games on Saturday night and we all go okay. Is there anything else on. Because they're so dominant ever since that Early Season Sneeze against North Carolina so I mean they have any chance of missing plus so I mean. Obviously they'd have to lose wouldn't they. Yeah they have to lose but I think that if they do you end up with Clemson really being a lot of trouble. I'm with you. I feel like I've ever even talked about Clemson. Their schedule is so easy that If I was looking at it just now from top teams perspective. You look at Clemson's schedule it's easier than like Yukon schedule or two lane. I I mean you're talking about a bunch of group of five teams. Have easier schedules. Someone you know said to me and I so I ended up looking at. HOW WOULD UCF schedule two years ago? Compared to Clemson uh-huh in this year Clemson's is harder. Don't get me wrong. It's the eightieth hardest schedule by that measure and UCS was ninety six. But you're not talking about something that's that far off and so the point is look if they went out fine. They're one of the best teams in college football but if they lose we would almost be very unlikely at that point for Clemson actually get in so we don't have wiggle room speaking of unlikely the fact that we are talking now about Baylor in Minnesota might be the longest shot of the college football season so help us understand do either one of them have a clear path to the playoffs assuming they check all the boxes I think they have a clear path in terms of winning. The problem is just that it's really unlikely. That either GONNA win Minnesota specially we give them just a one percent chance to win out. They have a tough game at Iowa before having to go Face Wisconsin and the big ten championship game so Minnesota would be an underdog at three of its final four games. Here's the good news for the GOPHERS. Though it was I was just running the numbers if they were to lose to Iowa and then went out right so then that means beating Wisconsin and going and beating probably Ohio state in the big ten championship game. They would still have a shot at twelve one which stunned me. But at twelve and one in that scenario they would have beaten Penn state. That would have been Wisconsin and they would be no Haya state so we think they actually would have a chance to get get in the problem. Of course is what I go back to what I said at the top. It's just so unlikely that they're going to be able to pull that off that they have a lot of work to do before consider them realistic contenders. Just one more thing before you go. Let's talk about Georgia and I know they have a very tough game this weekend. At Auburn Auburn they get to Atlanta. I mean there are a couple of combinations about Georgia that say lose to Auburn and then they beat. Lsu where are they. Yeah that's a really fun. Scenario right I if they do that well. We think that Georgia probably would not get in as a two loss as he C- champion. What I think we'll be wild is that you could have a situation where to SEC? Teams could get into the playoff and neither of them would be the champion in that situation because Lsu can get in an Alabama could get in given the two losses for Georgia there. We think it would just end up holding them out with any other. Good teams Can they win if they win the SEC. With one loss there are there are almost guaranteed a spot that second loss would probably be the end for them in other words. You're saying Alabama fans are GonNa Screaming War Eagle Saturday afternoon. I think they ought to be absolutely always great to have you on your next Tuesday. Thanks Paul thank you and our most of our most anticipated guests of the week breaking it down okay. We don't make this stuff up a lot of people said you're just doing roll. Tide and I think he he supported with the

Do we see Myron Your Power Jimin Mandy and lived on a bit of property now thirty on us to use a guy you get voted world champion Jockey to was that a surreal feeling to flaw in applying I've of the of the world and accept that trophy all songs I was yeah I didn't think a bit on gas really on Lean obviously that time off back of winks Korean that's interesting have the voting is done online obviously they pick the top one hundred group on writers What I nominate one hundred group one races as the top one hundred of outings don on that system and of course God winks win sort of I I it rises seven group once and then she came back and won the next ye so guide me a little bit of a saloon passage Gina the point scoring the apart from that they'll have a great I think two or three one winners in Hong Kong and of course that Japan cop at the end of the wasn't amazing evil clean I'll never forget it I mentioned you're thirty nine years if I do you have talked to reflect or just too busy seven days a week rice rotting and and rotting away may like winks you don't really get Tom to reflect as simple as that forget yesterday move onto the next day on very much looks forward not backwards anyway But I did tight Tom as we all know off two weeks as retirement to two months off we employees indeed and that did give me Tom to reflect not only on Wync spit on myself and my family and I think you know there was enforces might for myself in those closest to me other laws for we for that success to be able to happen and you know we won't get and later in the show but that's one of the reasons that Japan Cup win was you know very very special to me every will dive into wings a little bit later on but he started you apprenticeship with Rawson but Beth ninety seven you kicked in where you're a natural joke no it wasn't very far from it does natural horsemen natural raw reading how law I can remember the Pony Club from before school up until I define and up until the I just started right shorting really and at the idea of wells Lawson's windows fief doing in the school holidays and fortunately my parents had all the allman had a little bit of an association with Billy Ass Browse through through the eyes of when Neil Molly was trying and bill used erode from a grandfather father and he's waffling and trying to of course and was the leading trainer in the Central District at the Are Yeah I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to go with them and having billy as mentor and a God was instrumental in more development as a jockey because as I said it was very unnatural to me because I'd never had really any any experience in the professional sort of horseracing had Google's at the guy was fosters you could when you're young fellow on great holes for night absolutely tight control and bought with you but you can learn so much experiences remember I began with one and let it rip you thought all that adrenaline at the I was actually in the Paddick Moore other with the main and I didn't quote now what else in for to be honest when we winner in we've done a favorite a half pice together but we'd never really let one go yeah I'll never actually forget that the win going through the skull Cap and was a bit a little bit fraud to be honest but you'd left the Albanian edgy he was distant well he sort of went off before he saw Moore horse teams but all wasn't quite ready for the experience as a bit yeah also bit it goes through but it was something that certainly got more adrenaline going and students today who'd you love who'd you love growing up we gotta have role models to simulate the why we want to go about it and get your first period Jodi get your new helmet and then all of a sudden you rod in trawls as an apprentice then you get your ticket who is sitting back on the couch just white and have that I the rice is in Washington going to be that jockey wouldn't be Rice's Darren Beadman Darren beadman and billy I suppose when I was in Ba'athist but before I started my apprenticeship Darren and shine door were dominating the group uh-huh and I were the two that really captured more attention what was it a bad behavior in that you loved just the just he's strengths and he's consistency but as I said it as a four thousand fifteen year old I wasn't really paying attention local would these days but I guess the success and the fact that he in China just come on the best drawers and it was just tit for tat as to who got on the best one and I almost took it in turns chemically c'mon babe and left Android and slip it used to run a little bit short on up as underneath the chain the at the flower hey the billy Oughta look yeah I wasn't as attracted to the show on the white shine Reuters posed Darren because it familiar to say no little actual but he's a hall of Famer and he was very effective at it but familiar personally it was something that I couldn't see myself emulating Iraq and foot knee on Huey a lot of the guys Roy with the bull the Atto side that's Moi that's more for the ball at the guys across the Bolo Tie and that's the that's it what you'd like to rob with your foot running wise APP Well to be honest when I'll start to do that that's had billy road and that's sad download to in the early days I think he ended up running these telling you towards the end but certainly when all star he had full for me on but was always instructed Nelin certain terms they're all Mahfoud foot me on and that's exactly what I did and when I moved to see me after being to successfully easy and buses Leeann and billy we moved to Sydney in all of these more chance to develop into one of the big voice started drawing McCowan the on how to hold stumble was also Tallinn's actually that it just stumbled at the four hundred million American rain we can call Aubert's Hayden are truly believe foof four foot in the on or wouldn't have fallen off it so after six weeks on the saw lawns mirthless six weeks hurt mnay that welcome back back in and of never changed that was it suits you and your stall he say you move from the country the city it's a big big landscape China for you and fast hard but um took two thousand and nine nine year two thousand nine hundred eighty nine hundred ninety nine I should say in two thousand dollars rising seasons in two years year apprenticeship you become Laden apprentice you must have had great opportunities but made the most of it well how did great opportunity had a great granting hundred hundred wieners in the country opinion to Sydney to Rome Quinton in done in Raleigh June nineteen on as it was you just said and I had a great deal of experience but harm you had no country climbing provincial climbing to three kilo climate the city nail was the beneficiary of system charged with offenses which split the categories up to country provincial and city so a regained three kilo alantic provincials and obviously sustain the three kilo climate the country so that that guy I mean eighty winners decline that I wouldn't have had well it didn't have one on issues moved to Sydney so that that really opened the door for opportunity the deformity and yeah I'll think road at provincial Saturday meetings Kimmel Newcastle for four weeks once we got started within the ninety nine season and on the road three three trebles onto doubles and then of course the big boys went to Melbourne yep more opportunity in this in Sydney and had a great season winning the apprentices total exterior winners I think you might be able to help these sad Answer these questions what did we put apprentice on more Victoria and not in Sydney I think the cease to be different into the you've got more dominant China Zied me was even the case back then you had waterhouse and hawks dominating so if it suited them to use an apprentice I would but I tend to use the jockeys and that same sort of dominance has continued on in Sydney with a small number of China's dominating but also the realities the apprentices system in Victoria is far better than UCF wild north thing as much as writing ucs while I was gonNA heading every area that's one area that that all on the boards a working on but it certainly

Stop Losing Your Data with Brian Gill

"Thanks for coming on the show so I am I am interested in talking to you today because we really haven't had a guest talk about some of the topics that we're going to talk about today but why don't we start off a little bit with who you are and what you do yeah sure so without going into full back story. well I basically have surround myself with a bunch of really quality humans and together for the last sixteen years my primary mission has been to help the people out of data related disasters whether that's bad guys infiltrating network or data being stolen or a server crashing or making mistake and accidentally deleting all the pictures of their wedding or baby photos we are a bunch of Tech nerds who do everything we can to to help people out of those crises and also once they've kind of experienced those crises we help them either back up or sometimes they'll hire us as if they got hacked they'll hire us as we call it a part time see so or come in and do Kinda monthly risk assessments to help them prevent the next attack so you know it's just helping people out of Disasters Gotcha yeah well I mean as as somebody who has lost all of his photos and music for all of our music was in the cloud on a streaming service I can definitely level with that like after that happened to me I made sure to get an external hard drive live and of course today I have like a time machine on my Mac and back blaze and Nass and just like lots of things 'cause I I've been in that situation what I haven't been in is A well what my company or my clients knock on wood haven't really been involved in stuff like data-breach so it sounds like you do some of the more personal personal computing problems right data loss and recovery the recovery side of our business we founded back in two thousand four and we that's the data recovery company and that company it's a mix you know maybe forty percent of our clients are just normal people consumers who lost their personal data on a laptop or they dropped their phone toilet or you know that kind of stuff maybe thirty percent are small business owners with maybe one to fifty employees had a server crash or a chief executive ever accounting professional had a laptop hard drive crash or an SSD go bad and then the other third is large corporate America the government you know we've done recoveries for almost eighty percents of the Federal Bureau so it's pretty much everybody loses data on the data brief side of things we almost would I don't WanNa say never our average size client who got data breached is probably a hundred to five hundred employees may sometimes even larger for the for the micro sized businesses who get breached they're less likely to need an army of nerds to come in in an address that situation you know yeah yeah absolutely so so you you serve all sorts of people doing all sorts of things but I wanna get I wanna get back to the basics a little bit in your intro here so I also I have my degree in computer science I have a masters in software engineering and I went the web development path I when I was in college in Highschool I read like Kevin Mitnick's books and I thought man I really want to do that but ah I decided to go the other route what made you want to get into this particular field yeah I mean in general I got my computer science degree from University Wisconsin and that was like right before the first big tech bubble the first day web one point no and I jumped on a plane a and went out to the Silicon Valley and really wanted to play the startup game and joined a couple of startups one of them's still around that were you know involved with ECOMMERCE and that kind of stuff and you know I was primarily on the back end development style database design and things of that nature and a lot of back end programming I my four was not my forte was not the kind of user experience all of that's kind of changed over the years when that whole economy just imploded and all the valley was horrible place I mean I would say eighty percent of my friends were out of work I had a job but it wasn't star was in a bank so I had a job but it wasn't the type the job that I moved out there for so I kind of tucked my tail between my legs and say well I'm GonNa work at a bank I might as well do it in Wisconsin from from immoral my family is my brother had just had a couple of kids and I wanted to be there for that and I just wipe the three thousand dollars often read so I I talked tail between my legs Humpback Wisconsin and was just doing some consulting some really boring but wonderful companies like insurance companies and cheese manufacturers and all kinds of words and I really wanted to start a company right but the Donovan was in the crapper there was zero percent chance of getting any kind of bank loan so I knew I needed to do something that I could bootstrap uh with like the fifty grand that had saved up you know so whatever I was going to do I needed to be able to get to revenue within my within my budget right because it's just I wasn't going to get an angel financing I wasn't GonNa Fifty Thousand Dollars Angel Financing for a new idea they were going to take if your business back then it was just a horrible time to be an entrepreneur so my brother tyler younger brother Tyler was going to school at University Wisconsin ucf degree he's about nine years younger than me and he had a hard drive crash so he was trying to figure out how do I get my stuff back and he found two companies in the whole us that advertised for it and both of them wanted like three thousand dollars and that was like again exactly you know turns out it's pretty hard but we had the right circle of friends we had one of my buddies was an electrical engineer ear one of my buddies was a mechanical engineer I had the computer science and kind of ECOMMERCE background and we kind of had all the pieces of the the kind of academic puzzle so the next question is okay so there's very few competitors in the two that are out there that we could find were very prohibitively expensive so could we start a company for less than fifty grand learn enough about how to do this that we could serve underserved part of the market right and get it off the ground and and that's kind of where it came from and turns out we could that's fantastic I love that I have I have a similar story of how I got into web development you know essentially my church came to me and they said we want a website and I said I don't know how to do that and then we'll pay you and Mike are okay sweet money's yeah

"All right if you are new to the show this by the way is the most popular segment of the show with Tony saw on the news and much like Chris as I scour the news throughout the course of the week I try and put aside couple articles that pertain to what we do here on the radio show or that I think would be of interest to folks and this is something near kinda sort of that we've talked about before on the show in various forms Chris yeah but this comes from USA today this was just the other day you not you Chris but you of you listening may have seen this yourself if you get USA today or USA today online about one fifth of millennials and we talk about millennials a lot here on the program and not necessarily in a negative way like some people do but just because they're the next generation to save up for retirement and it's a big you know get to where we are absolutely one fifth of millennials expect to be financially reliant on of their parents into their thirties ally and the other reason we talk about millennials a lot is because Chris and I have millennials yes we do all right now the second half of this is about us so one fifth of millennials expect to be financially reliant on their parents into their thirties and most parents say it's embarrassing if their kids are still on their payroll at the age of twenty seven twenty seven now you and I were actually talking a little bit about this during the break and we came to the conclusion that maybe twenty seven is like the new twenty one yeah well it's only six years difference right when we were growing up it was like twenty one that's it your twenty one year man you're on your own you know right so at twenty one I was still in college so my parents like paid for my car insurance and helped out of course but we didn't have cell phones we don't have all the stuff right so you I I guess you look at it and you say you know sixteen driver's license eighteen can you drink when you're eighteen no not a twenty one twenty one right you can drink right twenty seven you have to stop taking money from mom right that's just the way life works that's crazy if your kids yeah I gotta pay for your kids Stiller twenty seven if they're not in school if they're in school and I get it well and that's where parents a cutting them off because a lot of the millennials think they'll be living with their parents into their thirties but a lot of parents are saying no no no twenty seven that's it the study examines the state of young adults money habits and attitudes in the United States the data suggests that young Americans are powering through a series of financial challenges including a lack of budgeting and decreasing savings tied to mounting student loan debt you know you keep hearing about student loan debt all over the place and Mike my question is at what point do we have a break even situation where we say you know what it cost so much to go to school the same worth it to go to school anymore but and not only that but you have options to this is something else we've talked about on the show when you know planning Hey Chris I both have kids in college right planning for your children to go to college is a major major financial undertaking sure you know and you keep hearing about all this mounting debt college loans and everything but you have a choice I'll use myself as an example okay you know my son is going to a different school than we thought it was going to go to just because I was a lot more financially advantageous sure you know so people do have the option like yeah this is a great school but it cost sixty thousand dollars a year if you go to a state school in state school at least for us here in Florida maybe it costs twenty thousand a year right and guess what if you go to community college or whatever they call it now state schools state college you know it costs maybe five thousand a year right you know so so there's ways to do it you're saying without unnecessarily bankrupting the whole family right right yeah and I that's right but I also think that there you got to focus on now some people are gonna hate me for this but you gotta focus on majors that have potential of paying you in the future I agree with what you're saying to at what point like if you're going to go to a school the cost forty or fifty thousand dollars a year to be water want to single anyone out an engineer but now if let's say you go to a really expensive school and you major in something that you know is not necessarily going to pay a lot of money right like you go to a some big some some big school you pay fifty thousand dollars you're going to be a social worker or something right you know and as social workers are important yeah yeah yeah nothing against the socially organised but you're sixty thousand dollars to become a social worker you're gonna make twenty seven thousand dollars a year in your tech companies fifteen top right then you got a problem as far as trying to pay that back and that's why you're living in mom and dad's basement right right but we don't have basements here in Florida so that means that they have to live on the main level which became all the more paying fifty sixty thousand dollars a year for you know a political science major and then you're going to figure out what you're going to do with that degree right you know general studies I mean you know maybe you shouldn't go to a school that's that expensive unless you have a real specific high paying career that you focused on right so we got people graduating from college that are on the payroll of the parents but then also we have situations now where the parents are having to take care of their parents right right right that's the other side of this story there is actually a generation people around our age that they called the sandwich generation now huh which means you're sandwiched in between taking care of your adult kids and taking care of your elderly parents while but there's a lot of people listening there in that situation yeah that is a rough rough situation to be in yeah hi I wonder if if it would make sense you know I I have seen things like I I have a son at UCF and I get all of these announcements Sir notifications of these things that they have boot camps coding boot camps have you seen these yes so if for like ten grand they're going to teach you how to code in certain languages and then they say with that information you can just go off and get a job doing that which is a pretty cool deal but they're kind of St you don't need that I guess you're not saying this but they're giving you an opportunity to get a skill that will allow you to get into the work force and you don't have to take classes in history and yelled language and all of those are the kinds of things that some people just don't really want to do right and that can really reduce your costs there but when you think about somebody that is is trying to figure out how to generate an income but doesn't know Sir I want to spend fifty or sixty thousand dollars on college maybe a boot camp you should think about this a great segue is is trading I mean what if what if up a parent and their child came trial I see child adult adult child right actually came to the academy and figured out how to treat together that's a great idea right let's say you're a millennial I don't know I just pick ace let's say your twenty six years old you still living at home you're at a school you living at home with your parents you hate it you want to get out on your own and now you parents hate the fact that your twenty six years old

Trump Threatens China With More Tariffs Ahead of Final Trade Talks

"Comes as China has backtracked on some of their previous agreements during negotiations of a new trade deal. It's a remarkable shift from just a few weeks ago when talks between China and the US appeared to be on track for a deal to end, the costly, trade war, Mark Remillard, New York. President Trump set to meet with Chinese officials at the White House. Tomorrow local expert tells us he thinks. The president is threatening more tariffs on China as an ago, she aiding strategy paying attention to the Trump administration is not exactly out of character on Snaith is director of the institute for economic forecasting at UCF. He tells me the president talked extremes with North Korea and pulling out of NAFTA. And in the end both cases probably an improvement over the situation that preceded. And when I asked him if raising tariffs would need, you pay more for certain goods. Yeah. That's a possibility. But it's not always clear cut. Eight says it varies from one product to the next sometimes companies can absorb all the cost increases. Sometimes it's passed onto the consumer either way state says we haven't seen any large-scale price impacts from the tariffs. The Trump administration already imposed

Torture report shows progress in Afghanistan, but much more needed

"We'll have to be some measures taken by the government to address torture. We are seeing some Pennzoil impacts of the steps taken by the government over the last two years. But while it's good to see that. There's some progress the oval big as will torture and treatment of conflict related detainees. Still disturbingly high in the sense that one insert sorry to interrupt. But in the sense that one in three detainees six hundred plus detainees who you? Nominate contacted the UN mission in Afghanistan. One in three say, they tortured in what way would they tortured, please they were tortured principally by beachings mainly by eating with hikes in payables, including on the feet, which is very painful, but doesn't leave any mocks now in some pick your location, they were all other forms of kickback even more serious including with. Electric shocks is expensive from ceilings very hot to stress positions for extended. Periods of time. Pulling genitals reported threats of death and other forms of sexual violence. And also, a very common form in particular. Locations in panda included being suffocated, eighty the tactic digested ahead or your Walser for throats, and one common form was be covered by a blanket people sitting on Thursday and back and being also maintains except potatoes, especially the okay, so that sounds absolutely horrific. And yet, you NAMA is saying along with the office of the high commission of human rights that this is an improvement since the last report, which I think was in two thousand sixteen and do you? I started reporting on this in two thousand ten in the previous record. And if report it quite right thing debut stock and plenty time. Time is actually being some improvement in that it's disturbing wanting three and keep the down. However from thirty nine percent four out of ten in the previous two years ago. And the that in in twenty eighty there was some progress in the among those into twenty eighteen twenty seven to say because the real treatment. So yeah, I think how headline is that some progress is very long way to go. There was also at the normative and the negatives. If no in that in twenty eighteen Afghanistan exceeded the optional protocol eventually they'd still and that these why because today seventeenth today because one year since the optional protocol was exceeded to near encouraging Afghanistan too. Establish a national preventive mechanism as they're required to do. So can I just jump in Richard just to us? What is the state's ability and capacity to actually help improve this, obviously, there's a willingness to do. So, but how capable is it of actually achieving what it needs to? Yeah. All post anti-drug commissioned nationally ups yet eight legislative began store Jerry metro check, nor so they became being Orage taking some sticks at a high level it needs to do more. And they have been training have been establishment of mechanisms you've been the key agencies responsible for torture, including bagels and ESPN. She's been candidates agency, the police and the military, so they're awesome steps in the right direction to develop capacity, we have found however that what we call key procedural and other legal safeguards that'd be Parke's often failing to uphold them lose, for example, access to lawyers. I contacted the family medical screen and information of rights for detainees as well. Proper investigations to follow up when are complaints. Go turn treatment buying the perpetrators held to account or if they are the measures. They can be such serious such an serious crime, very light. And that victims are really told about progress or up of cases, which remain mainly opaque. Can I also just ask and sorta to interrupt about accountability? Because it doesn't sound like what it was certainly one of the features of the report and High Commissioner of human rights. Michelle Bachelet said there must be accountability. Otherwise, this kind of thing will never stop. But that's not particularly new messages it. So what are your main hopes having released this fifth report? A main hopes that the commitments made the normal given negative level internationally domestically actually in. Lamented in practice 'cause you're not seen enough of that yet. We we have seen some signs of accountability. Would apparently Trump people removed from positions, according to the government response to the report, but be seeing very little if any serious investigations or prosecutions still carry now a crime in this country, but many fits me to take him on accountability. At the criminal Justice never would also found that nearly all of the Chinese the report for chapter saying that the total ill-treatment stops. Once they confessed. And this kind of culture is very concerning. Confessions obtained done before share essentially worthless. And they are illegally excluded as evidence in court. And so that is another thing. Yeah. Much change needs to take place needed to use torture to obtain a confession do. Those who are perpetrating these abuses actually realized that is it a case of educating everyone in detention centers that it just went hold water in a court of law. It connected, and I think you're right -education training are absolutely necessary. That has been among standing practice of using torture to the pain confessions, and I think that making that issues unacceptable amigo country to the penal code. They have better results. I think we are starting to see better results in twenty eighteen particularly with the intelligence of the NBS and note that they have new UCF introduced better training and policies on torture. Yeah.

Duke vs. Virginia Tech: Predictions for March Madness Sweet 16 matchup

"Nick when I look at Duke, they showed some vulnerability in escaping by the slimmest margins against UCF. But this is a team that's lost. Only one game this year when Williamson RJ bear and Cam radish have been on the floor. They've been. Of the most proficient under teams from any side in the power five conferences, hitting sneer Lee. Seventy one percent of the games they've exceeded expectations from beyond the arc. But can that continue against buzz Peterson his hokey defense? The first thing you think about his Virginia Tech beat Duke earlier this year, but Zion didn't play and Justin Robinson point guard. Virginia Tech didn't play in that game either. So you kind of take anything from that game tangibly and throw it out. But I will say this. I think the intangible aspect of of hearkening back to that game matters because they're always as even for a conference Bove or Judy tuxedos Duke when you see Duke trot onto the floor in the NCAA tournament. One of the biggest things you have to overcome as intimidation, and you have to believe you can beat the big dog the big bully deebo on the block and Virginia Tech.

"College football live on the memory, Molly on the campus. You see? Go to celebrate twenty straight win and counting chance to walk. Lockup division tomorrow against. He did find a new job a second ago. The trumpet player. Wooded point. Forty one or whatever kicks you off the set in a second you go right back to playing. Man from now on just ma'am rocket, man. You had a good idea. And I know that you've got it from the can you radio show full ride. But let's talk about five and five teams. Who's an interesting time? You're trying to get bowl eligible Ryan down to the end of the season. But there's some teams that are on this list. Better. Interesting who were getting. Right. Miami fan five. Tennessee like, these are all teams will have to do with it being this conversation. But team that you would expect. Sewn up a bowl bid by now. So it's interesting and you wanna talk about. Who stands out was gonna pick. You a C just because of the tumultuous times there with clay Helton, but think back to last November late November two dumpster fire that was Tennessee coaching search, and then you look at their schedule. And you thought they'll be lucky to win. Five at the best start Ryan. So I was during spring practice in one of their assistant coaches told me we do have a lot of FCC talent here, but we will play hard, and we are going to win two games. We should not win Auburn Kentucky to now. They're five and five if they win one of the last two games and granted it's no gimmes against Mizzou and vandy if Jeremy Pruitt goes to a bowl game in his first year after what happened with that situation where they weren't where they could be that's a really intriguing five and five team to me right now. How about the Cowboys Oklahoma state like this is a team that each they're very competitive Gundy does a really good job. Once you get past mother and everything he's a serious. They always has some talent. And then you look at them. They beat Texas, but then you lose against Baylor dogfight against Iowa State in almost exactly just so inconsistent. And I was really surprised to see this team sitting this by a five because they normally do a tremendous job when you talk about that list. And you saw them on you like Purdue. I don't even know if they belong listen. That's exactly right. You know, Purdue is a good football team. They beat them or two when they were number two. How state right? They'd be number sixteen hours. They'd be number twenty three Boston. They're purdue. I mean, this this is an awesome season for them. They started Owen three five and two cents. This is a really explosive fun. Good team to watch that. I don't think we expected them to have those winds have another chance to beat Wisconsin another really good team or pretty good team in college football. I don't think I think if producers would have been like, okay, we'll take three top twenty three wins. Yeah. Yeah. They're intriguing on the positive side right down the more. We didn't know how great he. Was gonna do. My favorite freshmen in college football, Ryan deal. More might be one of my favorite players. He's he's electric of somebody else. Not you. Oh. You've been in Atlanta for a while piece. Are you working hours here when it was ninety degrees earlier in the week? And I'm doing a piece this week. They cheer for it was ninety. "It's a wrap for the fight knives. I don't think it's done. But obviously, it would just require a lot of help. And we've seen crazy things happen. You know in November. I think if that point one of the key things that would be held against them as when they're watching the games on championship Saturday and other people are playing big time opponents that they're gonna be compared to and you're gonna go. They just wanna championship beat a like Michigan could be the top ten team on the last week of the season. I think the committee would be like, dude, I just I just saw that I'm gonna give you credit for doing that. So I think it makes their path a lot harder. But I still think the comparison with Notre Dame and Michigan you'd still have the similar records in a head to head that might come into play. If that scenario that they lose like, let's say USC is. Yeah. It's about law the committee and credit, and that's all UCF wants from the playoff committee. They want credit insane. Nighttime to expand the playoff. "Your rainy, Monday edition, Orlando's news at noon. I'm looking at the radar right now, some showers moving through downtown Orlando raining here on the Parkway right now, some heavy rain up in Lake Mary and Sanford officially a forty percent shot at rain today. High of eighty six with a low tonight of seventy well UCF aces Cincinnati this weekend at UCF, and guess what? ESPN's college game day is coming to town. I'm sitting here with our Darrell Moody, and we're both UCF fans, and and certainly both UCF alums Daryl. And and I was telling you story about how my speech class back in the day back in the eighty s when I was at UC. Did a speech about how UCF should move to division. One a and build an on campus football facility, and I'm sitting in that stadium on Saturday going man, it's here like we have arrived the potential that we've been talking about for years. It is now here, and it is awesome. Yeah. You know, you, and I were talking during the break about what you see football used to be like when we were there, and they played in the Citrus Bowl is just a vastly different experience and product on the field from what we have. Now, you know, of course, Danny white with what he's done for that program growing it the way that he has and you have to you have to George O'Leary credit for the foundation that he set in place with that program. But you know, to have the flagship program of college football there on on campus with the memory mall behind recent Kirk and Lee and Desmond, it's it is going to be unlike anything UCF fans I've ever seen in this in this this transcends college football far as UCF is concerned. I mean, this this puts UCF on the national stage. And I think all you know, they always say the rising tide. It rises all boats. I think I think every aspect of UCF athletics is going to benefit by what happened said, this is a national stage that UCF fans have been clamoring for for years now even UCF I mean UCF is known as as sort of the evil empire by UCF fans. Let's hope that UCF fans are prideful but respectful on Saturday to well. If you follow the UCF Twitter, mafia on social media, you know, you know, what has gone on behind the scenes to make this happen. But you know, kudos to ESPN. Now, they just have to win game. They got to win. Yeah. If you win you're right. If you beat Cincinnati, which is number nineteen I believe in the Associated Press poll this week Cincinnati has just one loss UCF, of course, a winner of twenty two straight. But if you win this game you are into the conference championship game. No matter what happens the following week against USF over there in Tampa with Boise state and Fresno state losing recently. I don't know of another group of five team that has a shot at that that that new year six Tynan ballgame. So a lot of people want UCF in the final four. I don't know that they're good enough to be in the final four. But man just went out and go win another new year six bowl game. And just enjoy the success that UCF has right now. Make it difficult for the committee. Okay. Went out and see. What happens Daryl? Good job, buddy. Thank you. Appreciate it twelve forty three. Now here at news ninety six point five WB L five day brought to you by Tuffy tire and.

"I want to go one more. I want to go one more call here. I probably shouldn't, but I'm always been great that I've been good Jeremy's in Orlando, Jeremy. Who are we leaving off here the final four, the night university of central Florida. I graduated night any kind of knowledge -ment. I completely understand. You gotta earn the respect. Nothing in a power. Five. Yeah. But what we did last year I think can't be overlooked. And if they do repeat it with the similar coach scheme, a lot of returning soldiers still getting their recognition, where's the knowing as can be. But we've kind of forgot what we gotta do to get recognized. Did he say, whereas annoying as can be? Is that what he just said, a self awareness. I love it property you well, you can't. You can't reload. It's a trick. Watch Smith and let's face it. Jordan Aitken's big-time weapons for MacKenzie. Milt love, McKenzie, Milton and she came Griffin was just a guy who inspire everybody. So. And you think about what Mike used it at that you talk about four star players that you cannot just throw somebody else out there and be close to as good as those four. That's why central, despite having a great quarterback in McKenzie, Milton drops back several notches. When you take say four big time players, there could've played for all burner anybody. Okay. There's going to be watching me about two touchdowns those Auburn Tigers. You could take those four players just mentioned, put them on anybody and they'll play a key role and they're in the NFL now. I don't think central Florida. Only UCF can reload that easily. You know what? They're ranked, what twenty twenty one and the people they're better than that, like you can say what you want about them not being in a in a power five league. They're better than that. That's a top fifteen football team in my mind this year. Yes, UCF is. No, you don't? Okay. Don't do you. Hey, can I tell you something set your your calendar circle? September twenty. "With the administration getting on board and having fun with it too but i don't disagree with you when you talk about sort of the local media jumping on board is though that's what's going on that that's a little much in my mind look if i had a connection with ucf somehow if i'd gone to school there or if i lived in orlando i'd probably own one of the t shirts that i'm sure they have but i did by the way i did order the the the ucf national championship book it's coming any day so giving it out to all my friends for christmas hey by the way george i i don't want you to go before i think he's still live in oklahoma don't you do okay the reason i bring that ups pretty obvious you've spent a lot of time around that program and a lot of time around baker mayfield so i wanted to go take you to take us through your reaction last night everyone was projecting him to go first but it's still surprise pretty much the entire world well first of all if they stunning story if you just take a step back and think about it i mean the kid walked on at texas tech because he didn't have very many you know actual fbi scholarship offers then he becomes the first walk onto start in his first game as a true freshman at an f b s at a major college program when he does that at tech largely because of injuries during the august practices then he walks on it oklahoma and wins the job and then next thing you know he's a heisman trophy winner and in now he's someone picking the draft i mean it's an amazing story and i've got to tell you even maybe this time of year ago when we knew he was a really really good college quarterback i still wasn't sure maybe what i thought about his pro prospects i was i had warmed to the idea that he was going to play nfl football and i thought he would be better than everybody thought what i didn't think was everybody would think he's worth the number one pick i mean that is still stunning to me i think it'd be a really good pro quarterback but.

"Definitely alabama they won the cfp calls for an actual costs well playoff so i mean yes they did win all their games and they won their bowl game last year but i think if you're ucf you're living pipedream here i mean bring it on i mean bring it on your you are starting to conversation or making everybody talk about it and the fact that this not inclusive enough the fact that you're having this cultural play you're trying to be more inclusive and how was before the bcs neier having a college football playoff where four seed like alabama alabama was the four last year can win the national tables your game which they did if you see things they can be the national champions why don't you give a chance put him in the playoff make it a make it a sixteen playoff make nfl playoffs where you have a by the first two seats have a by two two wild card games like you do in the nfl i mean that's kinda how it works right then you have to have the divisional round then you have the the final i mean those teams will have a by i mean is that kind of anti collagen we're to kind of make it closer to the nfl rules the fact that you have a sixteen playoff now because if it was a sixteen playoff what even got in that ucsf would they got in ucf if you cf would have got into that sixteen playoff if it was six teams last season.

"No ucf is good bleep the playoff its own rings and banners this but this is your lebatardshow filter take you gotta bring some sort of reasonable statement to the table when you were otherwise fielding what you might perceive is nonsense when you know none of that is true let's be real about something did they not get rings for this little shindig as well yup got him there on rings t shirts coaches talking in public and now we've moved to the banner phase this is legitimately hashtag fake news you did not win the national title you know how i know that 'cause i was at the national title game and i saw the trophy they gave out when the team that actually wanted one the game i get it you think ucf you should be something you're not this is very very pathetic on every single level and while i'm at it i'll say something else about ucf that is the most important thing they'll tell me you're not the golden knights you're the golden knights because the golden knights is a cooler name that the nights get it together this is what we want from ucf golden knights and fun football not banners for things that didn't happen i don't understand how you take this this far you're an ad and if anything goes awry what happens when you walk into the next job interview yeah you know we had we won the national championship and plenty i'm sorry what you did what.

"I would be comfortable saying that employ off expansion ucf should get there on the strength of being if we believe them to be one of the best eight teams in football what i'm not four is saying well soandso is the best group of five performer from the season and so because of that we're going to give them an automatic bid an automatic qualifier because when people talk about expansion they talk about automatic qualifiers that is also something i'm not here for because that defeat what are supposed mission statement is of putting the best teams in there not teams that meet some sort of arbitrary distinction that can't be the same across all of college football because college football's just two vast college football just too wide ranging college football has too many disparities between the haves and havenots i think to make that consistently a way that we can measure things across the league and so congratulations i i i feel bad because this all comes off as a a smear campaign for ucf but it's not it's just i think trying to make sure that there is a dose of reality in a celebration of what was a stellar season and accomplishment by this group of players and by coaching staff that was on its way out and still went out there with the focus needed to go and cap off a perfect season and that's worthy of celebration merit stomach out of wealth.
