Mark Levin: You Can Thank William Barr for David Weiss

"He could be a throwaway. You know, okay, that's not all for US attorney that's what he's thinking. But they have to keep saying that. And yet the man's actions demonstrate that here's the thing. On the one hand, Garland and his troops say we don't report to Biden. We're America's Department of Justice, not for not for the Democrat Party and not for Biden. And yet the media keeps saying, oh, Weiss was a Trump appointee, as if he's doing Trump's bidding. Just damnable and stupid. Thomas Massie, really good with Merrick Garland. Cut eight, go. Now in that video, that was your answer to this question to me two years ago. This is about Ray Epps, the infamous Ray Epps, who was charged with one misdemeanor, despite the fact that everybody sees him on video, encouraging people to charge into the Capitol building. And for some reason, the same Department of Justice, the same group of judges that cabal Washington, in DC, are putting people in prison, in prison for a hell of a lot less. A misdemeanor charge for trespass for Mr. Epps.

Welcome to another edition of Convo Over Cigars. I'm your host, Derrick Fleming. I think we're all in agreement that Donald Trump should be held accountable for the insurrection of the Capitol. This coup, this overthrow of the Capitol building was very catastrophic and people were injured. Law enforcement officers and other individuals, I mean, it was just very uncivilized the way they stamped on Nancy Pelosi's desk. They gained access to classified documents. This was just uncalled for. Now, three officers who defended the Capitol on January the 6th attended Donald Trump's arraignment. DC Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges, former Capitol Police Officer Aquilino, Gunnell, and Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn all watched the former president's arraignment from an overflow room. Now, Gunnell told NBC News that he hopes former Vice President Mike Pence has the cojones to speak up. These officers were all in agreement that Donald Trump's entire strategy here was to delay, delay, and delay. Now, the former president's valet, Walt Nauta, who was also charged as a co -defendant in the Florida classified documents case, was by Trump's side today in DC for this arraignment. Nauta was spotted holding an umbrella for his boss as the former POTUS departed Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport after his arraignment. The former president, Donald Trump, pled not guilty on Thursday to federal charges, accusing him of orchestrating a criminal conspiracy to try to derail the transfer of power after the 2020 election. During this intense 27 -minute proceeding, Donald Trump was seated just 20 feet from special counsel, Jack Smith, the man that is attempting to convict him in two federal trials that could result in a very lengthy prison sentence for the former president. The case should move quickly, but not many specifics as to when Donald Trump will stand trial, but John Laurel, he's an attorney for Mr. Trump, said Trump's legal team might need a long time to go through the evidence that prosecutors are required to hand over to the defense. A magistrate judge has said that he can guarantee everybody that there will be a fair trial in this case. Trump faces four felony charges stemming from his months -long bid to seize a second term despite losing the 2020 election to President Joe Biden. Trump is being accused of a plot to basically spread misinformation about the election and pressure state officials to undo the results in states where Joe Biden won. Also, he is being accused of undermining the Electoral College and ultimately trying to disrupt Congress and their certification of the results on January 21st of 2021. So again, very serious charges, man. Jack Smith is not playing the special counsel. But again, I think Trump is going to beat this as he always does. Let's just be clear. This is Donald Trump. And I'm sure that he will find some type of way to to wiggle his way out of this. I think the insurrection of the Capitol was very, very serious. People were injured. A lot of these officers just basically did the best they could to try to defend the Capitol and, you know, Nancy Pelosi and the offices there. But those people, the Proud Boys, those are the very radical right wing groups just basically took over. So I think Donald Trump definitely needs to be held accountable. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. You guys have been locked into another edition of Convo Over Cigars. I'm your host, Derrick Andre Flemming. Happy Thursday.

A highlight from Week in Review - Episode 15

"Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review. I'm Eric Hansen. A lot of big stories happening this week, perhaps the biggest. Donald Trump announced that he was informed by Jack Smith and the Department of Justice that he is a target of the investigation into the January 6th Capitol riot. He released the statement on Truth Social. President Trump, of course, is the far and away front runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. He just posted moments ago on his Truth Social platform the following words, quote, Wow, on Sunday night while I was with my family, having just arrived from the turning point event in Florida, where I won the straw poll against all other Republican candidates. And as I am leading Democrat Joe Biden in the polls by a lot, horrifying news for our country was given to me by my attorneys deranged. Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden's Department of Justice, sent a letter again. It was Sunday night stating that I am a target of the January 6th grand jury investigation and giving me a very short four days to report to the grand jury, which almost always means an arrest and indictment. Trump added. So now Joe Biden's attorney general, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court in retrospect, based on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision together with Joe Biden's Department of Justice, have effectively issued a third indictment and arrest of Joe Biden's number one political opponent, who is largely dominating him in the race for the presidency. Nothing like this has ever happened in our country before or even close. He's right. We are in uncharted waters. I've never witnessed anything like this in my life, according to President Trump himself. He's going to be arrested a third time over January 6th. And wow, wow, wow. Let's never forget the words of Donald Trump on January 6th. If this isn't criminal behavior, I don't know what is. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Those are the words from his speech that day that the media never lets you hear ever, ever, ever. I don't know what this means other than this seems so preposterous that Joe Biden is now setting up a third arrest for his primary for his primary political opponent.

Ex-firefighter gets prison for Jan. 6 extinguisher attack

"Two more people have been sentenced for their role in the capitol riot, retired firefighter Robert Sanford was sentenced to more than four years in prison. He threw a fire extinguisher that hit two police officers in the head. Sanford traveled to Washington D.C. with friends from Pennsylvania on a bus trip organized by the conservative activist group turning point USA. He wasn't accused of entering the capitol building, also Josiah kenyon was sentenced to 6 years in prison and ordered to pay restitution for damaging a window at the capitol on the day of the riot. Kenyan was dressed as the character Jack skellington from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. Prosecutors say he used a table leg with a protruding nail to strike an officer in the leg and hit a second officer so hard it lodged in the officer's face shield and helmet, Ed Donahue, Washington.

AP Sources: Judge rules Pence must testify before grand jury

"A federal judge reportedly has ruled former vice president Mike Pence must testify in a criminal investigation involving former president Trump. Two people familiar with the ruling say former vice president Mike Pence will have to testify before a grand jury. Pence was subpoenaed by a special counsel, investigating efforts by former president Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election results. But sources say Pence will not have to testify about his actions on January 6th. That's the day when a violent mob of Trump supporters stormed the capitol building as Pence was presiding over a joint session of Congress to certify the vote. Pence argued that because he was serving in his capacity as president of the Senate that day, he was protected from being forced to testify. His attorneys are deciding whether to appeal. Joe Rogan Drops Major J6 Truth Bomb and Julie Kelly Reacts

"This tape last hour, but I find this to be unbelievably persuasive and Julie, I think you'll enjoy hearing it. Cut 70 9 is Joe Rogan and Michael malice reacting in real time. It's as if you had a private hidden camera of how they react to the footage that is now being made public to people that are not right wing ideologues by any measure. Play cut 79, please. Right, you're not supposed to go into the capitol building. Grant. I thought you were not like that. Yeah, I don't like that idea. Not like that. But when you see the people taking them around, essentially on a tour. That's not what I thought it was. Not even defending them. It's just forget about it. Let's look at what actually happened. We didn't know that happened. Right. We had a version of it was just chaos and the cops ran away. And cops were murdered. I would have never imagined that this. I've shocked to see that. That's so wild. And so I think people are just starting to recognize that it's not what you thought it was. So Julie, that clip is very powerful. What is your reaction? To not just that clip, but this idea that finally the American people can get educated and informed of what happened on January 6th. And while you're at it, tell us about potential Brady violations as well. So Charlie, that's very similar to the response that I got from a lot of people. Even people who have been sort of following January 6th that they were expecting some bombshells, but not to the level that what Tucker presented on Monday and Tuesday. When you see what happened with Jacob chansley, completely railroaded by his Justice Department, get this, Charlie. I really looked up his documents today. Jacob chansley, as we now see walking peacefully around building accompanied by numerous capital police officers, that was January 6th on January 11th, 5 days later, a grand jury in Washington D.C. handed down several crimes against Jacob chandley 5 days later. It's like this was preset ready to go this DoJ D.C. U.S. attorney's office had all of the charges collected that they were going to use against these people. I mean, that is pretty stunning, something

Joe Rogan: Capitol Police Gave Jacob Chansley a Tour

"Joe Rogan appears to be a pretty normal guy. So here's a normal guy's reaction to what Tucker Carlson has been airing this week on Fox News. Nothing was good about January 6th. Let's be real clear. But when you watch the video of that guy being led around through the capitol building by police, they're basically giving him a tour. They're talking to him and hanging out with him. At one point in time, it's him and there's like 6 police officers around him and they're not arresting him, they're not throwing him to the ground. There's no violence at all. Like, I don't think with that guy did was good. I don't think with any of those people did was good. It wasn't smart to barge into the capitol and take pictures of your feet on Nancy Pelosi's desk and stupid. It's a crime. But they were leading him around. They were the cops were talking to him and hanging out with them. They weren't like arresting him immediately. It wasn't like he was this violent guy who broke in and started smashing things and so wouldn't the Washington wouldn't The Washington Post find that interesting? Don't you think, aren't they inquisitive at all? About why the capitol police were leading the QAnon shaman around?

The Truth About January 6

"So I'm going to play for you from Tucker Carlson last night. He uses the word lie, frequently, and that is because it is accurate, that's all that you've been subjected to as an American for the last two years. With regard to January 6th, lies, lie after lie after lie. That's why they're so angry that these videos have been released. Perhaps the single most important thing that the Republican House has done is to release these videos. So here is Tucker Carlson last night. Within hours of January 6th, literally hours, she began to hear that day described as a deadly insurrection and not described by one news outlet or one politician, but in unison by all of them, almost like it was coordinated a deadly insurrection. That's how history may record January 6th. But the tape that we reviewed from within the building on that day proves it was neither an insurrection nor deadly. Here it is. January 6th, when an estimated 2000 rioters breached the capitol building, causing the deaths of 5 police officers. Certain dates echo throughout history. December 7th, 1941. September 11th, 2001. And January 6th,

"Tell me again how this is in evidence of the growing surveillance state and technological tools being used to wipe away some of your civil liberties protections Remember what I told you The first part of the police state is investigating people in search of a crime If you were there on January 6th ladies and gentlemen I promise the FBI is searching for you To find a reason to charge you right now Julie Kelly pointed this out In her Twitter feed yesterday some have maintained that the geofence warrant that's the cell phone warrant for all the cell phones in an area that the geofence weren't only targeted inside of the capitol building That is demonstrably false as FBI complaints routinely indicate the location extended beyond the capital itself Ladies and gentlemen it's right here in the latest complaint The Google records show that the target account associated with the telephone number will leave that out Was an Apple phone 12 pro max and was located in the geographic area that includes the interior of the U.S. capitol It was surveilling this place

"Here listen to Tucker Carlson narrate Some of the new video that's emerged about what happened with the QAnon shaman Check this out And at the center of it the single most famous person arrested that day was a navy veteran from Arizona called Jacob chansley often referred to as the QAnon shaman The so called QAnon shaman QAnon shaman someone named Q shaman Jacob chansley became the face of January 6th a dangerous conspiracy theorist dressed in outlandish costume who led the violent insurrection to overthrow American democracy For these crimes chansley was sentenced to nearly four years in prison far more time than many violent criminals now receive What did Jacob chansley do to receive this punishment To this day there was dispute over how chansley got into the capitol building But according to our review of the internal surveillance video it is very clear what happened once he got inside Virtually every moment of his time inside the capitol was caught on tape The tape show that capitol police never stopped Jacob chansley They helped him They acted as his tour guides Here's video of chansley in the Senate chamber Capitol police officers take him to multiple entrances and even try to open locked doors for him We counted at least 9 officers who were within touching distance of unarmed Jacob chansley Not one of them even tried to slow him down Chancellor understood that capitol police were his allies video shows him giving thanks for them in a prayer on the floor of the Senate Watch Needed to be police officers to allow That's so strange man It's so weird You fire bomb a city in the name of BLM and wind up getting out of jail in ten minutes and having a victory parade thrown for you in Times Square You bomb a pro life center Nobody can find you because you did it at night you know the FBI according to Garland doesn't solve crimes at night And now we don't do night We have 9 to 5

Tucker Carlson: The Real Story of Jacob Chansley

"Here's the man you've heard referred to as the QAnon shaman outside the Senate chamber. These are not rioters. These are people who wandered over from a political rally. We will not let them silence your voices. After the rally, they walk down Pennsylvania avenue where organizers had secured a federal permit to hold a legal rally on the grounds of the capitol. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the capitol building. To peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Once at the capitol building, things began to get chaotic, capitol police officers fired tear gas into the crowd, a few at the front of the herd broke windows. Someone opened the doors and many hundreds of others just walked in. Of course, they did make it the story, and at the center of it, the single most famous person arrested that day was a navy veteran from Arizona called Jacob chansley, often referred to as the QAnon shaman. The so called QAnon shaman. QAnon shaman, someone named Q shaman. Jacob chansley became the face of January 6th, a dangerous conspiracy theorist dressed in outlandish costume who led the violent insurrection to overthrow American democracy. For these crimes, chansley was sentenced to nearly four years in prison, far more time than many violent criminals now receive. What did Jacob chansley do to receive this punishment? To this day, there is dispute over how chansley got into the capitol building. But according to our review of the internal surveillance video, it is very clear what happened once he got inside. Virtually every moment of his time inside the capitol was caught on tape. The tape show that capitol police never stopped Jacob chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides. Here's video of chansley in the Senate chamber. Capitol police officers take him to multiple entrances and even try to open locked doors for him.

Tucker Carlson: Overwhelming Majority at Jan. 6 Were Peaceful

"Was Tucker last night on Fox News. The first thing you notice from viewing the full video record of January 6th is just how many people entered the capitol building that day. Hundreds and hundreds of people possibly thousands over the course of about two hours. The crowd was enormous. A small percentage of them were hooligans. They committed vandalism. You've seen their pictures again and again. But the overwhelming majority weren't. They were peaceful. They were orderly and meek. These were not insurrectionists. They were sightseers. Footage from inside the capitol overturns the story you've heard about January 6th, protesters queue up in neat little lines. They give each other tours outside the speaker's office. They take cheerful selfies and they smile. They're not destroying the capitol, they obviously revere the capitol. They're there because they believe the election was stolen from them. They believe in the system.

Rev. Frank Pavone: Pro-Lifers Gather at California State Capitol

"I'm sitting right in front of the capitol building in Sacramento and I see about 30 different tents representing pro life organizations that work up and down the state of California. There's youth groups here. There's pregnancy centers. There's educational groups. There's activist groups. In fact, just down the street, there were about a hundred people that just walked down the street to a nearby abortion facility and they're praying there now. And we expect hundreds if not thousands of Californians to be gathered here on the Plaza in front of the capitol in just a couple of hours from now. And you know, California has been facing a real, real bad situation with abortion. You know, they passed this proposition one back in the midterms. They got abortion enshrined in their constitution, but these people here in California are not slowing down. They're not being deterred. They know that they can save lives every day and they know that nothing is permanent when it comes to American public policy. They're determined to change it, Todd, for the protection of these children and their families. Well, I think

$60 Billion in COVID Fraud? Try $4 Trillion

"60 billion in COVID fraud they write triforce trillion And this is what the party of the left and many of the rhinos this is where they drag us and take us And this is why there is now resistance in the house among conservatives and hopefully the majority To keep paying for this stuff we don't even know where this money is As auditors and congressional investigators try to figure out just how much federal COVID relief went to fraudsters They're missing the trillions Trillions of dollars in fraud committed by the federal government itself In a war that had no chance of winning Last week the government accountability office reported that fraudsters took about 60 billion in unemployment checks That's on top of the tens of billions in fraudulent claims made through the paycheck protection program that tens of billions handed out through a small business administration program and on and on So you might wonder where's the FBI They are vigorously chasing down people all over the country who were parading on the lawn of the capitol building They're busy chasing down Racists Who aren't white Cops 5 black cops who killed a black young man They have the civil rights division looking into this This Wednesday the House committee on oversight and accountability will hold a hearing to investigate rampant waste of taxpayer dollars Representative James comer the chamber of the committee said we owe it to Americans I like this guy comer a lot To identify how hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars spent under the guise of pandemic relief for lost to waste fraud abuse and mismanagement

Mike Pompeo: The Rules of Handling Classified Documents

"Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with Sandra Smith yesterday on Fox News. This is such a common sense reaction to this wacky, unfolding story. Every one of us who handles class of information I did it as a member of the House of Representatives when I served on the intelligence committee. And then I had a skiff in my home both at CI director and Secretary of State. We all sign a set of rules about how we're going to handle this information. And every one of us does our level best to do that. I hope everyone in this, whether it was president Trump, Biden, vice president, all did that. When you find out you made a mistake, if that's in fact what it turns out to be, you need to get it in the right hands as quickly as you can. And then you need to take responsibility for what happened. This is serious stuff if those documents are classified, it's important. And we need to protect those secrets. It's hard for me to have imagined this happening to someone some of these appear to have been from President Biden's time as a senator. I never even hardly touched those documents. He would be in a skiff and the capitol building on the table read, leave. When you're an executive branch, you have these classified documents in your home. And so one can imagine a note getting someplace something getting stuck in. I suspect that maybe what happened. But we have an obligation to the American people to figure that out and who might have seen them. It's a good point. It's a great point, actually. I

"But I want to remind you as they talk about this today endlessly That there have been other attacks on the capitol building and what the Democrats did about it Our friends at American spectator wrote about this not too long ago And I've talked about it before in 1978 Jimmy Carter commuted the sentence of Andreas figueroa cordes a Puerto Rican communist Who participated in a shoot up of the well of the House of Representatives From the visitors galley He did it He said on humanitarian grounds given that the man's terminal cancer diagnosis the next year Carter took the unpardonable step of pardoning court as his three comrades In that 1954 action that wounded 5 congressmen they shot 5 congressmen From the gallery and Carter Carter pardoned the three that were still alive and commuted the sentence of the ringleader That's how much they care About protecting the capitol building on the last day of his presidency Bill Clinton granted a full pardon to Susan Rosenberg who was she 16 years into a 58 year sentence for possession of guns in over 700 pounds of explosives Did that happen on January 6th I remember the weather underground in numerous of its succeeding splinter groups Rosenberg allegedly participated in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. capitol as a member of something calling itself the armed resistance unit

Now, is that justified? I don't know it. This claim that I've heard that the intelligence indicators are there to justify such a move. I hope that not true or not necessary. But then again, you know who would have thought that they would have So easily have entered. The U. S Capitol building. And As you know, you and I have talked about that was not the For the most part. The Group of Trump supporters that were there It is fiery rhetorical speech. It was primarily agitators, I think, and maybe some wannabes that joined in Got swayed and up in the caught up in the moment made entry into the Capitol building, so that on itself I think that the responsible thing for law enforcement Law enforcement agencies around the country is be prepared, be ready for about anything and let's not have another very embarrassing moment for the nation. Yes, sir. I could not agree more with you. I truly don't understand. Why what happened to the capital was allowed to happen? Hospital. People gathered in front of the Capitol Long before President Trump even spoke. It shouldn't have been too hard for people to figure it out and lock the doors and bring in reinforcements. They had like ours to do that, but That's looking back and everybody makes mistakes and I don't want to condemn good people because they dropped the ball somewhere. By the same token, I don't understand how that was allowed to him. Given that There were maybe 200 people in the Capitol. Most of them probably were Trump supporters. But that doesn't mean they were acting on his behalf, and it's pretty clear that anniversary of those people were there. Doing their thing. They said they were going to be there and they're usually do what they say they're going to do. There's more to discuss about President Trump will try to change the subject a little bit and Paul is going to stay with us. This is Colonel Danny Gillerman. Frontlines of Freedom troops. It's push up time. I want you to do 103 push ups that somebody I do every day. We'll take a break and stay in the area. Paul and I will.

"All right, let's get this show started, and we're going to talk about what a crazy week it has been in technology, just somebody different things that have been happening. I'm not even sure where to begin. I mean, days after the attack at the U. S Capitol building. There were all these sweeping changes on social media. And right now you won't find accounts belonging to outgoing President Donald Trump on any social platform. From Facebook to Twitter, YouTube to Snapchat and everything in between. The accounts were pulled over concerns of more violence that are leading up to the inauguration of president like Joe Biden. And it didn't stop with Trump and colleagues. One service was just Totally shut down. This was astounding to me that this could happen. I'm talking about parlor and its claim to fame was that there was no censorship. And basically you could post whatever you wanted to post as long as it complied with FCC guidelines. So you know, no nudity, no sex, no violence, things like that. And it was huge among conservatives and also the extreme far right. But after what happened in D, C, google and Apple, they both told parlor to, you know, get the violence. Get the threatening posts under control, or you're gonna be gone from the APP store. And they weren't bluffing. Parlor was removed from both Google and Apple and then Amazon gilt of final blow later by deciding that it's a W s Cloud service would no longer host the APP for the site, effectively, just shutting it down. You know a lot of companies. They don't have their own servers. They use Amazon's Web services in the cloud Teofilo end and to fuel their business. Rather So now Parlor is suing Amazon while trying to find another service to host it. And right before shutting down. Ah, hacker grab just about every post that was made on parlor, even ones that have been deleted and a data trove, roughly 70 terabytes and size and all that has been archived. And it's not just the post. The GPS data also included the league, which showed which parlor users were outside the Capitol in January, 6 so chose chose to show you the party really didn't have its security act together. Okay, back to the hand about the accounts being pulled from the various social platforms. Okay, parlor Totally shut down. And in case you're wondering, Cause my email box has just been flooded. Yes, private companies have the right to kick you out for violating their terms of service. That's not protected free speech. And it's still pretty rich, coming from big tech that's never managed, ever to get rid of manageable content ever so regardless of where your political beliefs are right this moment. We just witnessed the power of Big Tex most ruthless players in action. And it should just give you an idea. Just how much power and control these companies like like Amazon and Facebook and Google that they really have, and they took a hit in the process since pulling Trump's accounts Facebook so nearly $48 billion wiped out in market value 48 billion Twitter lost about 3.5 billion And now that parlor's gone, at least for now, What's next? So yeah. Facebook, Instagram Twitter, Others still around. But again, posting anything that seemed to violate the terms of service could get you blocked your account put into time out. So we're now seeing other acts like signal and telegram in huge spikes and a big bump in right wing social hour gap, and then they're always more options like encrypted messaging through signal. And if you were afraid that 2021 was going to be a seamless continuation, carbon copy of 2020. Don't worry. This year is crafting a completely different image, and it's only It's only mid January. So because of all the email that I've been getting and the posts on social media asking me like you know what's going on. And how can I get away from big tech? Is I wrote a U. S. A Today column that you can read over on our site today, and USA today will probably post in the next couple of days. We always posted first on our site. But everybody's asking me and what can we do about the Big five? Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook and Microsoft? I mean, what can you do to get away from all this? Well, there are lesser known options. Aside from Apple and Google owned Android phones, there's the light phone runs on Lenox. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. If you don't want to use Google, you can use duct up. Go, then you don't have to buy everything that you needed Amazon. Of course. I mean, you could go to Wal Mart and Target and hey, even your local stores would love to have your business. Social media is tricky, okay? Well, you know, it's hard is you.

"Couldn't give a damn. They couldn't give a damn. Let him rule the right way. But it almost seems that they're all going out of their way to hurt all of us and to hurt our country. I mean, this is honestly it's really bad stuff it into It's gross. It is Rose. I mean, when the president suggest that the Supreme Court is going out of the way to rule against him, even though I got them through, and they only an oath of personal loyalty. That's not how the government works. That is not how the government is ever designed to organize a government of laws, not of men. It is not a personal loyalty test to any one person. It never should be a personal loyalty test to any one person, Democratic, Republican black, white or green. Okay. So then President Trump finishes this rally. Bye bye, saying that he's going to lead. All these people wanna march down to the Capitol building. Okay, So this as this is happening by the way, Congress is meeting to discuss the state electoral results and again the way that process works as well discuss is the vice president opens the votes. He counts the votes. He doesn't have the power to throw out the vote. The Congress of the United States. If you get one Congress person in one senator, they can then challenge any state electoral result. On the basis of either illegal certification. Or they concede there's bribery that happens, something like that. Okay. Then there is a separate debate for each house of Congress. They come back together, They vote on it. It's a foregone conclusion that that tactic was going to be a failure. The Congress is just not giving this sort of responsibility. The federal government doesn't have the ability to simply overrule state electoral college results for the 1/1000 time. That is just not illegal reality. In any case, President Trump says I'm gonna lead you on a march. Here is here is the conclusion of the speech. And after this, we're gonna walk down and I'll be there with you. We're gonna walk down. We're gonna walk down anyone you want, but I think right here. We're gonna walk down. To the capital..

"In happening today in America. Well, this week will go down as one of the most consequential weeks in American history. First to Georgia, where a typically conservative state that hasn't elected a Democrat to the Senate in decades flipped for Joe Biden and too far left politicians By far the most important factor in Georgia. Electing those senators was the African American vote. Nearly a third of the entire electorate is black in the peach state, and they voted for the Democrats by 93%. And that was enough to turn Georgia blue. So voters in Georgia handed Chuck Schumer control of the Senate, with future vice president Comma Harris delivering the deciding vote. Survived now is tremendous power to enact his party's far left agenda on last moderate Democrats like West Virginia's Joe Manson. Locket. Raphael Warnock will be up for re election in Georgia in just two years so the Senate can change hands if the Democrats failed. Out of Washington, where rioters as you know storm the U. Holding a quote Save America rally as lawmakers met to certify the election results, which they did. Thousands of Trump supporters took to the streets, resulting in an assault on the U. S Capitol building. Mr Trump, ultimately telling the demonstrators to go home in peace, but the damage by that time I was done. So to sum it up. The historic 2020 election is now over. Thank God Joe Biden will take office on January 20. The senator split 50 50, but the Democrats hold the advantage. The last time the Democrats control both chambers. And the White House. Haven't really wasn't a good baseball player. But that's okay. Because today Kevin is a full bird colonel in the Army. I'll post a picture. On our Facebook page here in a second of Kevin, and it's actually a picture of him at the U. S. Capitol building. As for Jason, The pitcher who loaded the bases in the first place Jason in 2014, his baseball team went on to win the little League world Syriza in 2014. So Let's be better. Today and learn from it. I appreciate your optimism. Thank you for sharing that story. I will be honest. Today is a very tough day for me. I did not sleep at all. I think I finally shut my eyes for a little bit starting at 3 10. I could not shake the feeling that I had the feelings that I had. I feel sad. I am embarrassed and disgusted. What happened yesterday was disgraceful. And UN American It was a violent attack on our democracy, and sadly, it was incited by the president, who I feel now is acting to arrange delusional, dangerous. And many of those riders came directly from Trump's Save America rally. He spoke to them for an hour and said they had to stop the steel. We're going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue. I love Pennsylvania and we're going to the capital and we're going to try and give The Democrats are hopeless. They never voting for anything. Not even one vote, but we're going to try and give our Republicans The weak ones because the strong ones don't need any of our help, which are going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country. And I am also so sickened by those in positions of power, who have been pushing Thies fake claims of a stolen election. And I will start with senators Josh Holly and Ted Cruz, who I believe have flushed their futures down the toilet by becoming sedition ists, the more than 100, Republican members of the House and Senate. Who didn't care how we voted. Who are willing to ignore the will of the people to help curry favor with Trump's base solely because it might help them politically, not because it's good for our country. And I would like to say that that list includes our own congressional delegate from eastern Washington, Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Who on Lee withdrew her late and name from that list of objectors after her own life was in danger because of the whole against And I have to say that some people in the media have some serious soul searching to do as well. There is zero evidence of widespread voter fraud. It is irresponsible to continue to perpetuate that B s because it's going to keep trump supporters loyal to you. And when your immediate responses to justify this mob takeover by going straight to what about ism? You are part of the problem, too. I've said it before. I'll say it again. Committing violence to make a point is not the answer, whether it's violence at chop, barricading the East Precinct, trying to set it on fire with police inside the violent riots in Portland. We cannot use those examples to justify what happened in the U. S Capitol yesterday. Committing violence is wrong. And yesterday to me was one of the darkest days in history and I have had so much hope about going into 2021 Thank God were done with 2020. Now within this week at a time when We need to have something that has never happened in the U. S Capitol. I mean, since the it since the 18 hundreds. The Capitol police chief this morning is saying that the siege by that Trump mom was criminal, riotous behavior. We're not a Banana republic. I have lived in countries where there maybe this would be something that happened. I can just imagine that Putin that that North Korea, China, they're all You know, laughing at us. What happened yesterday should add anger every single one of us that had ever even happened. And it can wear on Lee a week into this new year. I hope this is the rock bottom. Join you in saying that G. We have to be better. It cannot get worse. Mm hmm. I Last night in like so many I was mad, and I said, if you follow me on social media, I was speaking out and I was upset and But then I then I knew that, um That everything that is happening in every word that is, said And everyone that has a platform has a responsibility. One what Tomorrow is going to be like? And That Responsibility. Is important. And we all have it. We all have some Form of a platform. Whether you are talking on a radio Talking to your friends. Talking to your family posting on social media posts. We all have a responsibility to make things better and It doesn't matter where you side at. With politics doesn't matter who you support. But I think we all can agree on one thing. That we want to continue to see the United States of America. Be better than when it was yesterday. It's been so many nasty times in this nation inside of this country. So many stories that we be the read or heard or seen on the TV screens. That does not mean That better is not possible because of better is possible. Good is never enough. And I know that we are on that track. I know that conversations are being had uncomfortable. Have you ever have you ever gotten Something in life without being uncomfortable. Most things that happen when good happens, it usually comes. If they say sometimes after the storm. Yeah. The big storm last night. Huge storm. And this is the on leeway I can think to be because look, I've gone through or you've gone through and we've gone through so much adversity. We don't have a choice. We cannot sit here and we can't dwell on what happened yesterday. If we're going to be better. I'm not saying not to learn from it. I'm not saying to forget it. You're right. I am saying that we need to bounce back, baby. And this is how I talk inside of my house, and that's what I decided to do. Today. I decided to not be a different person. When I get on the radio, I decided to bring the real me on the air. And tell you and show you How I talk really inside of this home. Have we been through adversity? Absolutely. Ah, lot. And so have you. And you know what you do to get through it all. Best the responsibility Ursula that we have. I'm grateful to be doing the Gene Ursula's show every single day. I'm grateful for listeners whether you agree or disagree. There's one thing that I do want to talk about. Because I got a few emails at me. Some messages are social media at me, and I see that there is a narrative that is put out there and the narrative is and you can you actually covered it? I'm glad you did. Ursula. The narrative about Well, what happened this summer, and you were okay with Really? Are is that we've only been doing this show, not even a year yet. "The day. Everyone lost yesterday when protesters turned violent and violated the U. S Capitol building. Four people lost their lives, one violently. Dozens of protesters and police were hurt. The pro trump anti vote corruption movement. Is destroyed. President Trump himself lost because he did not tamp things down in his speech before the riot. Do not believe the president incited the riot. I think that is false and even hateful analysis, but you have to anticipate. Danger. When there are more than 100,000 people packed into a small area. And many of them are angry, some irrationally. You have to try to tamp it down. The president did not do that in his pre riot remarks. A major mistake. Those who hate Donald Trump lost as well. Because decent Americans, fair minded Americans despise the pedaling of hatred, which was on display in the media yesterday. Like I've never seen it before. It was a disgrace as Donald Trump might say those who condemn the riots yesterday but who did not condemn violence after the George Floyd killing Have now been exposed his hypocrites. And on billoreilly dot com. I have a segment naming people who did just that. Forever. They will be losers. And finally, America's image was besmirched all over the world. Now, you may not care about this, but it is important. The United States. Is the beacon as they say of the entire world. We are the strongest country. We should be the fairest and least corrupt country. However, that is dissipating. And what the world saw yesterday reflects poorly on all Americans because people overseas they're not paying attention. They don't understand allegations of voter fraud and they don't care. All they saw was a wild mob trying to destroy the symbol of American democracy. The Capitol building. And believe me, commentators overseas, most of them jealous of us were just hammering the Yusa. Donald Trump will go down in history now as a lesser president in his last two weeks in office, this riot Will define him. That's not fair. Mr Trump did a lot of good things and help this country get stronger, economically. No question about it. But this display was so vivid and so terrible. That it will. Attached to President Trump as history unfolds that may not be fair. That's the way it will be. I'm Bill O'Reilly and I approve the message by writing it disagree. I'd like.

"He is not actually acknowledged by almost anybody anymore and yet twitter says he's a world leader and they also say he condemned the thing. He's obviously done. it's just. It's just painfully stupid to watch these people try to eat. Pass their own lies. Well here's another example. Protesters storm and vandalized legislative legislative council as anarchy violence engulf the hong kong government center. Remember that in hong kong. We all saw that. It was all big. Well that's pretty much a similar scenario. The what they're claiming we just saw right. What we've seen pelosi and everybody else say. This is a kme insurrection. But guess what pelosi said about the thing that happened in hong kong. She says and this is what you're talking about. Literally those people and what happened in hong kong she says it's a beautiful sight to behold and i commend the courage of the there for speaking out in light of china's actions in hong kong. Okay so you're four. The exact thing that happened in dc when it happens to your enemies and you'll it on his democracy but when it happens in place where you can abuse it in your own way. Which is the same thing happening here. Well then it's horrible in its insurrection. You're disgusting hypocrite. And it's not about truth or protecting anybody. It's about using anything in front of you benefit your career. That's what's happening. It's pretty pathetic. But it's everywhere you will see example the board of people who are willing to cheer on what happened in venezuela or rather what he floundering failed to do in a very diverse bearing. It's very embarrassing. For the fifth time. They've tried to push that feeble now and it over to overtake venezuela. But it's the same thing he tried to do. What on what we're seeing that. There's white house officials that are resigning from their posts in the wake of all of this which is important to include. But i'm not sure how to take that whether that means that you could argue. These people were all the whole time. Part of an effort to manipulate. His cat candidate his cabinet herb administration or whether these are people that are just cutting cutting their losses and get out because they see the things that are chasing the writing on the wall which in a way makes them sort of cowards. Right because you want just last out the last few days but the argument. The media's taking is that they're just so offended by what happened that they're going to resign and it's more so about their political careers than anything else but we have. "Wednesday. There was no precedent for a president inciting citizens to storm the capital. And it's been more than one hundred fifty years dating back to the civil war since a large group of lawmakers gave comfort to an insurrection but all that changed after president. Donald trump invited his diehard fans to washington filled their heads with lies that he had been cheated out of the election. And that vice president. Mike pence could overturn the result unilaterally and pointed a mom of them in the direction of congress. What ensued was one of the ugliest days for democracy in living. Memory trump has spent weeks whipping up his supporters with false allegations of fraud in the november third election culminating in a coal to march to the building that represents us democracy trump who has refused to concede that he lost a democratic president. Elect joe biden had urged his supporters multiple times to come to washington for a rally on wednesday the day the us house of representatives and senate was scheduled to set the results of the electoral college. They turned out in the thousands to hear the president say they should march on the capitol building to express their anger at the voting process and to pressure their elected officials to reject the results. We're going to walk down to the capital and we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women. Trump told the crowd standing behind safety. Glass the white house as a backdrop speaking what is likely to be his last rally. As the sitting. President trump exhorted his supporters to fight. We will never give up. We will never concede trum said about fifty minutes into the speech. Some of his supporters waving trump flags began heading toward capitol hill. Where unprecedented mayhem ensued. Protested slipped easily through barricades with police filmed allowing protesters through storms the building and entered lawmakers chambers. The certification process was stopped and vice president. Mike pence and members of congress were evacuated lawmakers and staff members. Were hiding under tables hunkered in lockdowns saying prayers and seeing the fruits of the country's divisions up close and violent guns withdrawn a woman. A fourteen year veteran of the us air force was shot and killed trump flag hung on the capital. The graceful rotunda reeked of tear-gas glass shattered the pro-trump mall took over the presiding officers chair in the senate. They mocked its leaders posing for photos in the office of nancy pelosi one with his feet propped on her desk. Another sitting in the same seat. Vice president mike pence that occupied only moments before during the proceedings to certify the electoral college vote on wednesday hallowed spaces of american democracy one after another yielded to the occupation of congress. This began as a day of reckoning for president. Donald trump's few tall attempt to cling to power as congress took up the certificates in process of joe biden's victory it devolved into scenes of fear and agony. That left a prime ritual. American democracy in tatters. If you don't fight like hell you're not going to have a country anymore. Trump said let the weak ones get out. This is a time for strength. He announced his lawyer rudy. Giuliani said to the crowd. Let's have trial by combat. Trump told his morning crowd that he would go with them to the capital. But he didn't instead. He sent them off with incendiary rhetoric and watch the coup in delight on television from the protection of the white house as night fell. A capital officials said the building had been cleared but outside some way from the grounds scores of protesters remained including members of militia and far right groups as criticism mounted that he'd incited a riot. Trump was urged to say more by a trump loyalist house. Republican leader kevin mccarthy and some of the advises who remain in the white house for he's dwindling days in office. Eventually trump posted a recorded video on twitter. I know you'll hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide. Election trump said repeating familiar falsehoods. But you have to go home now. He said shortly after posting the video received a twitter warning before the company locked. Trump's account altogether trump's failure to rein in his supporters stood in sharp contrast to his attitude last summer when he threatened arrests in the use of force to break up protests against racial inequality. When black lives matter protesters would tear teargassed and disappeared from the streets by unmarked police in rented vehicles.

"Radio special chaos at the Capitol. I'm your host, Ryan Gorman. Lots of information coming in. Let me get you caught up on a couple different things. There's breaking news from Facebook. They have stated and I'm quoting here. We've assessed to policy violations against President Trump's page, which will result in a 24 hour feature block, meaning he will lose the ability to post on the platform during that time. So the president has now been blocked off of Facebook and Twitter. And the video that he put out earlier today has been removed on YouTube as well. And Susan Collins had this to say, walking back to the Senate floor just a little while ago quote it was Horrific day. I never thought I'd see an insurrection in the United States of America firm or on the security situation at the Capitol. Let me go to the hotline. And joining me is Jared Bernstein, former Obama administration counterterrorism and community outreach official, Jared Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to step through this with us because You know, putting aside all of the politics of today and and what all of that means for this country, just the security aspect of all of this. I think a lot of people are taking back that. Individuals were able to breach the Capitol building, get inside and do what they did What went wrong? Well, I think it's a little early. Oh, say exactly what it wrong. I think there's gonna be a lot of time and effort and multiple enquiries to go through step by step exactly What happened. How the protesters, brute protesters and really mob how they breached the Capitol Security perimeter, and then how once they were inside the perimeter. The Capitol, police and other authorities were not able to section off the Capitol building itself. From what we're hearing early on again. We're in the first stages of this inquiry. It started somewhere on the house side of the complex and one of House office buildings, which were all connected via tunnels to the capital. And then the mob moved through those tunnels and were able to least initially breach the Capitol building that way. And you know this was not just a serious situation in terms of getting into the Capitol building, but also on the grounds of the capital because an explosive device was found there and then another one was found at the RNC. So you had potential for what has been a bad day. I think in American history, I don't think that's any question about that. But it could have been much worse. It could've been you had you had literally hundreds, not thousands of people in the Capitol building on the Capitol grounds that did not pass through any kind of security checkpoint that we're not screened for explosives or weapons on day were in there. And while it was a horrific day, we know of at least one person who lost their life today. Andre were certainly scores of injuries. It could have been much worse in terms of the ability. You know what could have happened with the mob like that. Moving through the Capitol building, um cruelly. The Capitol Police were reached or overwhelmed at some point in time and had to call in reinforcements from the Virginia and Maryland and the state Police. State Police forces, the Metropolitan Police Force. And ultimately, the National Guard. You know, we've seen this a lot throughout the course of the past year and again, I'm talking about Jared Bernstein, former Obama administration counterterrorism and community outreach official. Some of the protests turned violent across the country. What happened in our nation's capital today where things get out of hand quickly, and it doesn't seem like law enforcement is able to handle what's happening is that Lack of preparation, not anticipating what might take place because it seems like we continue to make some of the same mistakes. Well, you know, you don't want Oh, you don't want to prejudge. You know what might come out of any inquiry, But clearly, um, the job at hand was to keep this capital secure. So the business of the electoral college voting and certification process could go forward and that didn't happen. And so clearly something went wrong. Weather was Aaron preparation. You know, everyone, there was a pretty commonly accepted fact that there was gonna be a mass mobilization of pro trump protesters in and around the capital today how that went from a protest on do how they lost. You know, the perimeters integrity? I think we're gonna have to find out and it is going to be. Ah, lot of a lot of you know, time and effort, spend them. I'm figuring that out with congressional committees. I'm sure the department Homeland Security will be involved here because there are serious implications for continuity of government. Um if a pro pro trump mob could do it. Certainly, um some other adversary could do it as well. Well, that that was gonna be my next question is the concern now in Washington, D C. These images have been broadcast all over the world. The world's been captivated by what's happened here in this country today, and they're people out there looking to do this country real serious harm. Is that a reason why we might see some heightened security measures taken in Washington, D. C around some of these buildings, including the capital. I think not just in Washington, D c. I think you know where I am in New York. You've seen the New York City Police Department and other federal authorities heighten their posture. Um and and really have to question some of the basic assumptions off how you deal with crowd control. Um, you know, you saw in a lot of the video Protesters with the mob really were allowed to sort of, um, stay in place without the police confronting them, which traditionally had been a tried and true tactic that the police law enforcement would not confront the mob. Um, because they don't wanna make it worse. But you know, if you know that that mob is specifically intent on a causing harm, you know, we may want to look at whether preemptively figuring out ways to remove them from that situation might make more sense. But again, we're you know. We're in the early stages of the capital secure the business of the electoral process is proceeding, which is a good thing, but in terms of the what we call the after action review. Um you know that's not going to begin until probably sometime tomorrow, and that could go on weeks, if not months. Jared Bernstein, former Obama administration official of counterterrorism and community outreach. Official, Jared Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to break that down for us. We appreciate it. You. All right, and let me go back to what Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell had to say on the floor of the Senate when the Senate reconvenes to continue their work and count the electoral votes here again is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. We've fulfilled the solemn duty. Every.
