"Fox Sports. One. He's Ric Bucher, Fox Sports Ones, NBA analyst House Rights for Bleacher Report and Buche. What do you say about the Clippers complete? No show yesterday against the Dallas Mavericks. They are who we learned they are in the bubble. It is, if you had any question about the leadership factor with the team. I thought that yesterday confirmed that they haven't fixed that problem with or without Kawai. Yeah, You got an early start yet? They asked. Well, I'm a little confused. Paul. George was telling me that Saturday was Christmas and I would have sworn that Friday was Christmas, but Um It to me. Look, we've seen this happens all the time games. Get out of hand You miss open shots, especially in today's NBA, eh? Ability to knock down threes. You got one team that's on a you know, wants to prove something because they've had a couple of bad losses. You got another team that is at home and it's an early start and they're feeling themselves a little bit, and they just don't have it. But The complete collapse and the inability to have that one moment where you go. You know what? We're not. We're not going to accept this. We're gonna dig in. We're going to try to get something done. Not saying that they would have won. But the Clippers never had that moment. They never had that moment of resistance and To me that goes to the heart of leadership, and he thought that the Tyronn Lue is going to have a different effect on this team and Doc Rivers. You found out otherwise. Look, I don't want to make too much of one game, but to me if if I had suspicions that they really hadn't fixed their root problem. From the bubble and that the bubble exposed something that Woz True Achilles heel and yesterday just confirmed my suspicions that that thing is not been fixed. It think it's a great point you make and guys let me kind of like further it. I actually think In many ways, coverted and you know this entire last 12 months as it's like it's happening. All businesses right, like retail retail is is feels like it's dead. Well, it was dying anyway. Restaurants have been crushed by this thing, right. The truth is that restaurants were, you know, it's always been a hard business. Has been made more difficult recently because of door dash and those types of right So what's happened in business has only kind of sped up. Movie theaters right may not come back online. As things are going directly to your home directly to a stream insurers. All these things are getting exposed. It's not problems that arise because of The bubble, but they get they get made more pronounced. That said, if we How would you go about fixing it if you're the Clippers I don't know that there's an easy fix because it really comes down to that. I mean, look, you can have all the team meetings you want. You could have the You know the come by Oz? Uh, ultimately, it has to be Little bit like You have to have players. You have to have star players that you don't want to disappoint. I ate the reference the last stance, but You know whether they whether the guy's rest of the bulls like Jordan or didn't like Jordan. You heard him Say it. George Bush said it definitively like we didn't want to let him down. I believe that the Warriors as bad as they are right now, when they see an opportunity when they don't want to let Steph Curry down. You're the guys that you are the stars on the team. You don't want to let them down you want. You don't want them to be embarrass. You don't want to be embarrassed yourself. But there's also a feeling like We want to play for this guy because we know how good he is and how good he makes us. And I'm just not sure there's anybody like do the Clippers. Look, it Their leadership of Kawai and Paul George ago. You know what, man? I don't want to see that guy like I want to play hard for that guy. I'm just not sure that that feeling exists on the Clippers. And I don't know that there's a guy there that they feel that way about. So there is no easy solution. They said to be the beginning. They are who they are, unless they have a major transformation. I believe that's going to be a continuing problem. They're good enough to beat a lot of teams. What They have that that That it factor that it guy that is going to carry them there on that. They're all gonna play for and that they're going to rally around. I don't see that guy slip when you look at this team, and you just mentioned the makeup of the lack of leadership. I'm I look at it from the perspective of how Tyronn Lue was there last year is an assistant. So he's elevated. You saw something and what you felt His leadership qualities could be that could possibly bring, you know, unite these guys together as a solution. You didn't go to a whole nother staff. You promoted from within. I'm just trying to understand if if there is a lack of leadership by your big gun star players and you promote tie Lou as the head coach, isn't that a failure on a higher level than the player in the coach then? Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. I love r. I did not think. That was going to be a solution. There was somebody who was there present, and I felt that that was a missing piece last year on the coaching staff it it's one thing you elevate Hi, Lou. That's fine. But what you were missing Woz, the Tom Thibodeau to Doc Rivers. In Boston. That guy who was going to be the bad cop to your good cop, the guy who was going to demand certain things. They didn't add that to the rocks you could. You could elevate Ty Lue. Because of his relationship with Kawai and Paul, But you have to have that guy that was going to demand. Discipline and excellence when nobody else, Woz and I say this, too, and this this is what makes it really difficult. We've seen it with plenty of teams. You know you have those Can't say no to superstars. Right? So you they want to come play for you? You've got a chance to get them. You get them. But.

She just started stopped his show like people like but then there but that carry Champions or cartilage small are our champion and she kicked it with us for a little while. She was nice. Well, I asked her I went over and I was I was being mr. Whatever and that was talking about are you talking about Mount Rushmore Rask of a people in the in the in the bar and then I walked over to her and she like you asked everybody this I said I'm asking you. So what's your Mount Rushmore she and quickly she slighted that you asked you said you wanted to know if you asking everyone else you want to ask me quickly. She went to Kobe Bryant was her first one. Yeah, and but that was right during the time. Just how emotional that was with Kobe just passed in the way weekend that whole Memorial that we get remember us talking that was so crazy at you know, our guy Nick was saying there is nobody going to be at Kobe's Memorial I said, Nick the place is going to be bad. It's going to be I mean I'm talking about pack from sea to Sea and then the entire n. Was it was it was one of the most surreal moments I've ever had in sports thinking about, you know Kobe passing away, but also thinking about the but just looking around at the people who were there. It was like basketball royalty. And you know, I was already thinking like, okay have they got me a stem. The Celtics only had one seat per player or something and and took a couple of Blair's and it's like, oh no we have you we have your seat Max we have you say, so I guess I got one one around my sick cuz I ain't going to sit up in the you know nosebleed. Right right. I get my seat man. I'm on wrote down right beside me is right right to three seats down was Kyrie and Steph Curry sitting beside each other in front of me was Bill Russell. And then it was Westbrook and hardened. We're from me then I'm looking around near my road to I was like they introduced him. I'm like, yeah Michael Jordan. She took like three seats away from me. I was like man, this was like, I want a new one to the announced them know. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, but there was just it was like you could see the people came in and and just the respect Factor was it was again one of the most surreal moments. I think I've had and off the basketball court. It was just a real just to be there and just to see the people LL Cool J was not far from me Queen Latifah honey, Randy Kanye West Jay-Z. I mean you name it and those people were there at that event and I'm talking about sending somebody off the right way man, but it was just so funny when it was just so funny with Nick's shoulders only going to be about two or three thousand people there and we fought Around the corner man. There was a there was a line you knew was walking the security. Yeah, they'll huge blocks. Oh within the Staple Center you're getting stopped. Yeah. Someone's going to say where you go. You have to have a bracelet on there was down all the way for two blocks to get into the Staple Center. And then once you got in the Staple Center, you know the game t-shirts away and it was it was it was it was fascinating it was I mean in in the in the most respectful way it was it was totally and then to see how his wife held up Vanessa for her to give the inspectors and then to hear Shack follow-up. And yeah and then Jordan getting up that they were crying crying memes. I told my wife I wouldn't go ahead no more crying mean to me. I got to look at this for the next ten years and then forget they put a close up on Steph Curry and he was laughing. Yeah. Oh everybody everybody everybody was but they they put him on the base here for a while Steph wage. Emack I read everybody in the tire place. We're just like it was like a whole nother level. That's a good way to put it basketball royalty. Yeah. Oh no. No, it wasn't even I mean not June we'll get you right there was so many Edwards royalty. Yeah just crazy. It was relative. I'm surprised that I was surprised at Barack Obama wasn't it? Yeah, just a little surprised. He didn't come up in this room. That's true of all the people you think about just who are there now when the best surprised to see him and especially with the fact of Barack Obama when his last press conferences he did with the writers and that's when he had the he had the microphone and he dropped it down. All the money is Obama dog was saying thank overdid. Wow. Yeah, that's just like, wow, I mean, it's just this year man this year this year. This year will never get home. This year this year and you have to pardon me but this year's been fucked up is I'm here. I gotta play the way it is. That's that's the best way to put it and then the top that's all now. We're going to have the election which is crazy with draft the grand finale. I mean, you can't I wish I told a buddy of mine the other day I said man, if you can make it out of out of this time right now, you can make it out 2020 you can live for a while cuz I mean the dog you ain't got by the room beginning up and they're all full for the year before we could we can't take no more this episode of the subject matter podcast brought to you by betonline.ag. Which you know, that's all good for them. It doesn't expensive loving that. They're like, oh we can we set the old guys home. They were loving every moment of that and that was there and finals. That's all they got now. I'm with you man. I just think back to to to look at a team like a Lakers where it's like, yeah, they went from not worse the first but you know, obviously they they had that one year that they make a playoffs then they go straight to the championship and she can't help but think man how often can seems like this pull this off right? It's almost like the whole like the Yankees way of of manufacturing a championship. You got LeBron you got you know that LeBron is going to be connected to Anthony Dave and you remember that summer weather is Kawhi Leonard Paul George all these things are being thrown around and it seemed like no one else wanted to play right here in Lake Worth want to play with LeBron Anthony Davis and coincidentally, they have the same in here. Here's things is crazy about did you really want to play Hyundai work out for the Clippers? Yeah, I got there got them coach fired right changing really what they do as a team people right now are questioning, you know going up and down gets Paul. George's is becoming you know, Enemy Number One right now on people are saying, you know new song. Yeah, you saw when you didn't, you know, you didn't didn't play well. So that's that's yeah. That's what I'm saying is kind of a crazy situation and playing that they were the Clippers. I mean, I loved it. I loved it more than I love playing in Boston, you know in our said to this degree Boston off the other franchise Boston was a better situation in back but living in a city the city and and I'll say basically one because I just think the whole body would environment surrounded by people like that and also the weather the weather was huge when you know, we'd be flying back to when I was playing with the Clippers flying back and from the east coast and wage. It was said, you know, we leave him shivering right here in the East and you know getting our coats and then pilot be on 73 degrees right now in January 16th threat now, you know thier lay and so it was just a whole another environment. They're a whole another world. It's just different over. There it is it really is when I was with you that last road trip. That's my first time in LA California, but I thought well, yeah, I've hooked on connecting flights, but I never actually spent time in LA. I've been in San Francisco. I went to Sacramento last year, but I never been to LA and it's just a different place man. You could feel it for sure. "Of coaching in some surprising news. We learned this week that Billy Donovan will not be returning to Oklahoma City next season. Donovan's contract expired after this season and also initial reports suggested it. That it was a mutual decision by both parties. Oklahoma City reportedly did offer Donovan a new deal with two years guaranteed prior to the beginning of the embassy. Restart, but he turned it down. You surprised that Donovan turned down the contract and where do you think he might land next? Why I'm not surprised because clearly Oklahoma City is committed now to a rebuild. That's why we're talking about Chris Paul being shipped out. And maybe that's not what Donovan signed up for where he's going next. I mean, there there are a bunch of vacancies in in the MBA. He could go back to college. To me. The best candidate on the market is still Tyronn Lue. So, uh, I want to see where he winds up. I expect him to get a head coaching job. But Donovan has proven himself in the N B a at least as a good coach, right? You know that Although these guys they're flawed like I mentioned, so I think he could get an opportunity in one of the vacant spots, but he also could go back to college over, although I'm not surprised that that happened. Because clearly Oklahoma City decided to go in a direction and maybe that that's just not something he, you know either signed up for in the beginning or wanted to be a part of going forward. So this is one of those Circumstances where I actually believe that the parting was amicable. What's next? Another Justin Timberlake announced this week that he has joined an investment group hoping to make the Nashville Stars and Moby's next franchise, he said, I am throat to be involved in the movement.

"C two of the best coaches in the MBA today. Doc Rivers and Steve Kerr. They both fit that mold. No. No head coaching. It's no coaching experience when they got those jobs. But people watch them play and thought. Hey, that guy could be a really good coach. I mean, he's a coach on the floor. Why can't he be a coach on the sideline? So if you're all time, great player, you gotta crack right away. And if you're a winning guard who is considered a smart player, you no. You tend to get a crack right away. Then there, there's the fact that The last three. NBA championship franchises have been helmed by first year coaches. So it's not like first year. Coaches don't have success now for this one. I have to add a qualification because two of those coaches did in fact, I have some experience. Or worked their way up the ranks. One being Knick nurse, of course, is that now the coach of the year and the Coach of the defending champs. In Toronto. The other being Tyronn Lue. And then, of course, the third being Kirk, who I mentioned in that other group and Tyronn Lue, I think is an underrated coach. I don't think he gets enough credit. For what he did with the Cavaliers, You know? Yeah, he had LeBron James. But every year Tyronn Lue is his coach, right? He's um he's basically been in the finals. He wasn't with Cleveland long after LeBron was out of there. So I mean, what did he coached? Like? I think it was six games that that next year. What Tyronn Lue when the title is first year is Coach, and then they went to the finals and, you know, I think dilute was a really good game Planner. You know, he devised that the trapping game plans Against Golden State. He had really good game plans for Boston and the Raptors during that run. And I see that he's linked to the Sixers job. I hope he gets it and to be fair. He also did kind of get the Lakers job right, But he didn't like the terms of its so he's not the Lakers coach right now. So that's another level of qualification. You know, in recent N ba history that would support Hey, Steve Nash Higher. And then finally You have his connections within the organization. The general manager, Sean Marks. He was a teammate. Of Steve Nash is in Phoenix. So He has first hand experience. When it comes to Nash is temperament that I referenced before his pedigree, his style of play his unselfishness as a player, his ability to deal with with different personalities. I mean, I saw Mark say ah, somewhere that He. One of the things he appreciated about Nash is that he walked the walk in and just talk to talk and that he did treat Everybody on that team the same whether it was No himself marks guy who's at the end of the bench. Or it was Raja Bell, Remar, Stoudemire's John Mary, and her whomever From that Phoenix Time. And then, of course, in its star driven league, there is absolutely no way That's Steve Nash. Gets that job without the approval of both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Specifically the latter. Who He developed a relationship with while serving as a consultant at Golden State. I mean, I've seen the reverence with which Durant and Nash talk about each other. So This is clearly a higher That Kevin Durant. I was comfortable with. Not just may be comfortable with he may have Rallied for Push for I don't I don't know all that, But I do know he likes this hired and he has a relationship with mash. So take all that into consideration. And I think Despite his lack of experience, Steve Nash is qualified for the Brooklyn Nets head coaching job. All time. Great player. Those guys get a chance to coach Hetty Smart winning guards. Those guys get a chance to coach. He's both of those. She's both of those. First year coach. Well, those guys have had success last three. Championship winning franchises have had first year coaches. Connection with the organization. Well, the GM played with him teammates. Two stars like him, especially the best player. As you know, no disrespect, Kyrie. Put when Kevin Durant's healthy He's the best player on that team and right there. As one of the best players in the league. And that's why I just thought There. Productive and healthy conversations to be had about. Hiring practices. And what can change. But Steve Nash just felt like ah, really bad example. For the white privilege aspect of things because I think mainly Steve Nash got the.

"He's got a Spoelstra flag on his birthday. Because he's losing LeBron's guys, you know, he had to come in and help LeBron win with the Cavaliers. He one of those guys who always comes in the conversation. I guess he does have as ourselves used to we used to say he's got a pelt on his wall. So I mean that's something going for him in the right direction. There's not a lot of coaches out there that have a championship that they can walk in on a resume when you're doing the interview with them. It wouldn't be a bad situation for Tyronn Lue because he does have power it's not like I think you'll lose suffers when he has substandard talent or is in the rebuilding mode. I think he's the kind of guy that maybe would do well here because he knows how to get out of the way of his Stars so to speak so and he was a player so at an NBA player so I mean wouldn't be a bad choice. I liked him better off. Like J. Right? Actually, I agree with you. I agree with you a hundred percent. I know that I know we should probably go back and forth on this but I gotta be honest. I agree with you. I he he is a player's coach and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I mean in the NBA sometimes that's a really good thing. I think he would get along with embiid and I think that being a former NBA point guard like he was and playing on those. You know, you gotta remember he played on those Lakers teams back in the day with some of championship teams with the Lakers. So the guy knows knows what it takes to win the net to win an NBA championship. I mean, you can say whatever you want to about Tyronn Lue but he's been a part of championship teams. He want to title in Cleveland when you know other coaches had LeBron there and failed. He was there when LeBron was there and one so right, you know, they got to they got to several Finals game. Us but they also got to 1 then they beat the Golden State Warriors. So I don't think you can just discount Tyronn Lue and say that he's not a good coach and that he just you know was riding LeBrons coattails. I don't believe that I think he he's proven that he can get it done and I think he kind of got the Raw Deal getting kicked out of Cleveland like he did. I don't think he would be a bad fire here. I think he could help Ben Simmons and helped him develop and I think he would get along with Joel embiid. And I think if you got him some players to work with that core and money to build on what they have already. I think he could manage those guys and and do a pretty good job. What about Tobias Harris? I mean, you're Tennessee guy there he's he's not in New York. He's got a great rep out of New York City. Is it is Tobias Harris a month..

"We're planning on doing that, at least until the end of the baseball season and Thursday at 7 50 So that's what we have planned. Yeah, absolutely. I think that was like the main question we got. I think when this was announced, like, Are you gonna keep doing good questions that you have a show, but his good question. You've got to give the people what they wanted. People want good question. And I think that it's been it's taken. Ah phew! This is the third year of good question, but now the hotel and you could hear it. Cap. The all the hosts. They like. You could watch it on twitch to when Waddell gets one. He points to me and he like, doesn't like the market down. You're watching twit. You'll see the host know when they won that. Yeah. Yeah. Course. S so there you go. So good question will be back this upcoming Thursday at 7 50 Blocking up doll with you here on ESPN. 1000 if you want to join the conversation, 3123323776 You know, Yesterday was a bad day for Chicago sports. The Hawks lose. They have gained forward today. Can they keep the Siri's going? The White Sox. They lose two games to the Cardinals. The Cubs they lose in 10 to the Brewers. Not a good day for Chicago sports, even though on Friday it did feel like a pretty damn good day, especially if you're a basketball fan with what took place with Jim Boylan, the Chicago Bulls firing boiling on Friday. Yeah. I think it was time for the Bulls to make a move. I think that they you know if you read the tea leaves coming from the reporters, If you read the tea leaves coming from, you know Casey Johnson and Joe Kali and Malika Andrews and Bryan win horse and all that stuff. And everybody else saying everyone except for CAF and props to cap for being correct on this that The given the financial situation that the Rhinestone find themselves in owning two teams that a way to save money would be to keep him boiling in a year where You don't know when the season is going to start next year. You don't know what the season is going to look like next year. There's probably not going to be fans in the stands next year, so you're not getting revenue from there and also the Bulls. Contract wise are kind of stuck with everybody next year, so the philosophy was look, if you can't do anything, and ownership is telling you And yes, our tourist. Karnishovas has autonomy to do whatever he wants to, but ultimately like if the owner's telling you, we need to do this to save money because it's a pandemic and everything like that. You might do what he says. And you get to make your move when you want to make your move in a year, right? But ultimately, this is still a dis a move that needed to be made. Jim Boylan was not a good basketball coach. He's one of the worst basketball coaches in bowls history. And it was affecting their perception around the league. And if you're trying to turn over a new leaf with a new regime taking over for the Bulls, this is what needed to happen. This was the final left over from that regime in getting Jim Boylan out, and now the front office gets to bring in their own coach for next season. Agent Ward Janowski on ESPN dot com today. Has a column up talking about Tyronn Lue, who was in the running for the Lakers job a year ago but turned it down because he didn't think he got a fair contract offer from the Lakers. Based on his pedigree, right. He's won an MBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He's gone to the Eastern Conference championship multiple times He coached LeBron James previously. And he thought he deserved Maur. The three guaranteed years on a contract. So he turned on the Lakers. That's a name that's out there. But here is something that I thought was interesting from watches column this morning. The fourth paragraph in Talking about Tyronn Lue. Once again, there are star power jobs opening in the MBA, including Brooklyn. The younger and talented rosters in New Orleans and Chicago. Based upon the play offs, there are potential vacancies in Philadelphia. And in Houston, both things that we kind of know his final sentence in the paragraph in all, except for Chicago looms as a candidate. Of your Bulls fan. What do you think of that? Is that immediately We'll just saying someone who is an experienced talented coach in the league will be in the running for jobs for Brooklyn, New Orleans. Possibly Philly, Houston. If they go out early in the play offs to the thunder, all of those possibilities for Tyronn Lue, the Bulls will not Be an option for Lou. Now there are some names are out there that would reported on Friday. Like Bucks Assistant Darvin Ham Toronto assistant agent Griffin, former Brooklyn coach Kenny Atkinson and then Denver assistant West Unsolved Junior. I know Emmy. You don't go from the 70 Sixers is a name that's out there as well because of his connection with ever Slee. I would also suggest since Philly is in a lot of this as faras, Brett Brown possibly being gone win if and when the 70 Sixers lose in the playoffs. You don't go may get that gig, too. So so there's a lot in play initial thoughts of Tyrone Lou not being involved for this bull's job. It doesn't Really affect me because I never I didn't want Tyrone. There's two guys that I kind of don't want to coach the Bulls and one is dilute. And then everyone keeps bringing up Mark Jackson's name. Who's everyone? People keep saying Mark Jackson, like people know Ryan Russell was joking, right? Exactly like Robin Russell was being sarcastic. I saw that tweet when he's not being for real. No stop considering it's Mark Jackson as littering Mark Jackson and I didn't get a chance to say this on Friday. Because there were callers suggesting our Jack's twitters. Whatever they're called. There is nothing more. I don't know if it's it's funny or it's sad at this point. Um And Mark Jackson on broadcast. Constantly trying to take credit. That he's the one that told Stephon Clay that they're going to be the great shooters ever. And that's why they turn into the great issue. Tres over like he never mentions that is archaic offensive concepts. For limiting the star potential that they had in the roster alone, not having Draymond Green start and it was Steve current is four out options coming in and changing the offense Lee and getting the ball to move absolutely allowing those players have flourished. But it's always Mark Jackson on this broadcast..

"Let's go, and we don't want somebody who's got to come in and establish rapport and under me more important trust with LeBron. I mean, you want somebody who's actually been there and done it with LeBron. It allows them to focus on the rest of the team building that has to has to take place here. And you hear that LeBron doesn't want to be coached as much as he wants to be managed. And if you read stories about time, Ron Lou Tyronn Lue used to get in the Bronx face, right? There's a very. Famous one that during the finals the year they won the title. It was at halftime of either game six or game seven and tied. Lou went in front of the whole room went to LeBron goes, man, I need more out of you. I know we've written you all the way here. But if we're going to win this title, you absolutely have to take over this game. If you don't take over this game, we die. And I know you're doing everything, and I know you lead us in every statistical category. But I'm telling you right now, I need more out of you than you're giving me even though you're already giving me a ton right, which I think is great. I think that's a great precursor because it's the truth. There's this particular Lakers team is going to need LeBron to go above and beyond. And in the case of Toronto. Lou not only does he have the report and the understanding and the trust and the knowledge of how to coach LeBron. He also is an excellent. Strategist. I mean Taran Lewis known as a great Xs and os guy, which for whatever reason people think ex players aren't. Yeah. That's not the case there. "All right, Mason and Ireland show. I'm John Ireland Brank him in eighteen phrase of those you're looking for game of thrones stock we're doing it today to thirty Beadle. Michelle Beedle had is on a plane, and she couldn't do it at one. So we're going to do to thirty right after fast track. The Lakers coaching search. I think is far from complete. I think that they are talking to a bunch of people Tyra time Ron Lewis the second guy today. Our second interview with Tyronn Lue today. I think you're gonna talk to Monty Williams again, I think they're going to talk. They've already talked Jason Kidd. And once I think they're gonna talk to John Howard want high days later this right? Yes. All right. So so I don't think really coaching news this week. But what's interesting is it came out yesterday that the Suns fired their coach ebor Kokoska off? And Devon Booker has been in the league for four years. He's had four head coaches. This will be his fifth. He's headed qualifies them for free. Lots. Yeah. He he's had a different coach every single year. So here's an interesting question. Let's say your money Williams. The owner down. There is very impatient. Very impetuous. Fires people at the drop of a world without James Dolan. Robert Sauber would be the worst owner in the NBA in. Maybe all sports, if your money Williams, what are you asking for? He says he says, okay. I want to be if he doesn't if you don't get minimum for years, guaranteed your outright. All you. You don't they lobe all their coaches? They Terry poor. They all these guys get first year guys. They get dudes without experience because you don't want to pay people a lot of money. You obviously you get to three or four years guaranteed. You do as much as you can. But to me, the like, the really fascinating question becomes because you heard the, you know, Saddam was talking about a Ramona's talked about it people are telling Tyler do they're telling Monty Williams be careful about taking that Lakers job. You know, there's some people. They this sounds good looks good. It's the Lakers, be careful. There's a messy stuff going on over there in my mind. If I'm a coach, here's the difference between the Laker job in the sense job. If you don't win with the Lakers. You're eventually fired. You do everything right in Phoenix. Still get fired and still get can right. So from from my perspective like I look at it. And I say if if what is friends tell him about that gig like if if if he decides. The in a scenario where the Lakers want him to. And I think I think ultimately Tyler who is the person who gets this job. Just makes the most sense. It's the easiest is that you would hire of the people currently on the list or you can go off the board. Probably only because I don't think they have the flexibility right now to break in a first year coach. And if you're if you can't pry Rick Carlisle away from Dallas, if you if you can't get one of these just made guys to show up to your organization right now Tyler is probably as good as you're going to get a, you know, when you have to figure the LeBron relationship and a little bit of experience. He's coached stars. He's all of this stuff, which which they have any, you know, he's got LeBron's respect. But like, let's say they wanted Monty Williams and Williams chose Phoenix over the Lakers. That's a horrible look because Phoenix is a dumpster fire. Right. But it Phoenix says younger assets, they have Booker they've Deandra eight and they've Josh Jackson not saying there is there. I'm gonna say there are navy's tonic cap space. But if the result of the Lakers Lakers have young assets, and they also have LeBron James and a better market, and in theory, and this is where I'm getting better ownership because the warning here is not don't coach the Lakers Lakers aren't a good job because you can lineup. I actually think Lakers could be serviced by the fact that trade value of their younger players has gone down. Lonzo got hurt Ingram coups..

"Williams manned up going to Phoenix. Which would which would now put the Lakers coaching search back at three if kids in the mix, it would be either Tyronn Lue whose scheduled interview again tomorrow Juwan Howard who scheduled interview later in the week or kid if Monte goes to Phoenix or as Greg suggested he could also get the job in Philadelphia if they fire Brett Brown, but it appears Brett Brown is on the verge of getting them to the. Second round, by the way to let's not bury the lead on something. This interview was conducted by rob Pelinka and Kurt Rambus, which would lead you. I've been telling people is that who's do. I I understand that. But I'm saying it leads you to believe that part of this. Vacuum isn't just being taken up the power. Vacuum isn't just being sucked up by rob Pelinka. Kurt Rambis is putting himself in a position to gain more power. Well, I think it's already there. However, you want to phrase it it's been reported. And I, you know, a full disclosure here. Kurt's a neighbor of mine, I know him I like them. Occurred Kurt started traveling with us in the middle of the season. Just to be basically an observer. Well, I mean he was brought on as I forget the exact title by magic. I think it was last year like a basketball L salt because something like that like it or not the Lakers are a family business. The Lakers in US have this comment. Yes, they do. They they USC hires Trojans because they think Trojans will get we'll get there say something as an alum. I don't like it. Yeah. And what the Lakers are cutting a page out of that. I mean, if you want to really find the connective tissue. Dr bus was a Trojan there you go. But I think so I think you're going to hear Kurtz name a lot. I think Kurtz going to be around giving Jeannie trust him. And he's going to be giving nothing personal against Kurt. This is not how I do it. I think they are making a real mistake that insulate I just mean the tendency towards installation right there making a real mistake. But okay, so Kurt Rambis, and rob Pelinka interviewed Jason Kidd yesterday doesn't this prove that I'm right in Mason's wrong. That there is no shadow console. No, she does this. Honestly does this team? So far seem organized enough to pull off the shadow GM thing with women talking about that that would be an incredibly hard thing in this day and age to even orchestrate no I mean, I would love to feel confident enough in the Lakers that they could actually pull off the shadow GM very hard to do. Yeah. I don't feel. They can do it hard to do.

"You have a team led by lebron james and it's inexcusable how cleveland can come out and play like that and i'm placing this at the feet of lebron james tyronn lue lebron james had those fantasy basketball numbers twenty six points ten rebounds five assists he didn't look engaged at all in this game and that clearly clearly was able to transfer to everybody else on this basketball team where you win this game five like i said in boston would be done they've only won one playoff game on the road this postseason you would've taken care of your business gone to the nba finals instead if you wanted to game seven fine but there's a better way to go about that if you're the cleveland cavaliers freddie how disengaged was lebron at times and then just lebron was his entire team but you know seven forty nine to go jeff green hits a three eighty three seventy one twelve point game it was a twenty what twenty two point game right so the cavs have cut it to ten we're going all right is this false hope or you know are we going to get a game here in an mba conference finals basketball game we saw two points scored in the next two and a half minutes and those two points came after lebron james at five nineteen to go dribble the ball directly out of bounds and in boston gets deuce alive seventy one and then that was it it was false hope from jeff green three and literally no one has the ball in his right hand he's he's you know and not even to the elbow and takes on the parameter writes his left side turns around and the ball goes into the second row when was the last time you saw that from the greatest player on the planet it was just ridic not even contested yeah no one was bothering it was just ridiculous and pathetic and cleveland you have nobody to blame for this but yourself freddie and fitz simons on espn radio presented by progressive insurance small business protection just got easier with more than thirty coverage options available progressive.
