"And yeah, I mean, there was a lot of movement on the leaderboard. I want to talk about our runner up. Unless you, am I missing anyone? Are there any other meet Kim Davis? Had a really, really Washington resident Seattle resident Kim Davis had a really good week encouraging week. He's been injured. He's been battling some stuff. He dumped one in the water on 17, so he cost himself a bunch of cash and probably moved from T three to T 6 or something, but still finished T 6. So that just feels like a win. And min whoo Lee had a hard day to define, made two 7s, you know, made a bunch of bogeys in the middle, but then birdies 16 birdies 17 and then bogeys 18. So he was T 6 also. But no, not T two, solo second. Tyrol Hatton. Shot 7 under, including 7 under on his back 9, including birdies at his final 5 holes. I mean, it was this funny, funny thing, Sean, where I've never seen tyrol Hatton so content and so happy as sitting with Mike tirico in the booth afterwards. Were you watching that interview? Yes, I was. It was like a testament to golf, I guess. Like, this, there's just no way to play a round of golf that satisfying and not come away. Almost like giddy, almost a little punch drunk. He was like giggling watching himself walk up to 18th hole smiling. I tweeted out a photo of this, but it was like tyrol smiling in the replay and then tyrol in the broadcast chair also like smiling at that thought because he played it back then almost perfect. Almost perfectly. You know what's great about that is that giddiness is something that exists in every golfer, especially like amateur golfers, who there's so much more room for perfect or for growth when it comes to players of like my level. Like single digit handicap who is capable of shooting 76. But it's also capable of shooting 96. And so the days on which you shoot 76 and you feel like you've reached this new peak. Our days in which you just smile, you are giddy, you are walking around the Clubhouse like golf is this is you like this is like Sean Zak coming home and like 35 or something. I mean all right I shot whatever 42 on the front 9 44 even. But then God damn, everything went well in the back. It made some putts like got some good bounces like how could I possibly be any more content than I am right now. And tyrol Hatton is generally the opposite of that. He is the most dissatisfied man on a golf course and he even was joking about that. He was saying, you know, I actually do like TPC sawgrass, someone asked him for his thoughts on the course. He was like, it's sort of not what I'm supposed to say, but yeah, I like this course. And finally, he was like, I don't really like the 8th hole, that 235 yard par three, like, we don't really need that.

"Tonight and I think we're getting a good price in the bruins at even money over Carolina and game two of their series. Finally, the Wells Fargo is this weekend. It is Wednesday. What do you have on your car? Yeah, I noticed that we kind of like a similar golfer similarly. You have him outright 50 to one to win. And I have a moment. Before anyone even can guess who he is, I'm going to give you one hint. The worst dressed golfer on tour. That's who you are referring to. The guy we both like, he's the worst dress golfer on tour. So pause the podcast right now. Think about who that is and then hit play and see if you know as Tyler's about to reveal. All right, after that pause, I'll give you one more final hint that should give it away. You might be the worst tipper on tour as well. That should give it to you. The answer is, Matt kuchar. Two, yeah. At 50 to one, I don't mind the outright that you're throwing out there. I have him in my daily fantasy lineup. This is a par 70 TPC avenel that is actually short and overall distance, but has a lot of long par four. So par four scoring and iron play accurate iron play are going to be the traits that you want to most identify or find in your golfers to do well here. And kuchar's third on tour this season in par four scoring by an only cam Smith and Justin Thomas. I mean, cam Smith and Justin Thomas are two of the best golfers in the world and kuchar eno has been around for a long time, but in terms of talent, he's not close to Smith and Thomas, and yet he's third on tour in par four score. So with only two par 5s to try and attack par four scoring will be very, very important here. He's got back to back top three finishes. His last two times out at the RBC heritage in bolero, Texas open. And he's first in the entire field, Joe and strokes gained around the green. So we both like cooch, Russell Henley, I think, is going to be popular because of his ability with his irons. I think tyrol Hatton is worth a play as well. Here's a guy who's got four top tens this season has made ten of 11 cuts, strong iron player as well. But someone who's short game can come and go and his mental makeup sometimes. He loses his cool out there, but he's been a machine this year. He's been a top 26 and 7 of his last 8 worldwide events. The only one he didn't finish top 26 was the masters where he went 79 and 80 on the weekend, but he was kind of right there for the first couple of days. So he's been on fire this season. And then I'll throw a dart with Ryan armor. He finished second last time this event was played at TPC avenel in 2018. He is also a very strong iron player and one of the top 25 or 30 in the world I believe in terms of par four scoring. So there's a dart throw with armor, but I know we both kind of like Matt kuchar as well. Rare situation where this podcast can absolutely guarantee you some winners since Tyler and I find ourselves on opposite ends of the spectrum for a few of these games. So you're welcome. You're welcome for the guaranteed locks. It's up to you to figure out which ones those are. That's it for today. Thanks so much for checking us out. ESPN2 6 p.m. eastern, your latest installment of daily wager. He's Tyler fold him. I'm Joe Ford hall. We'll see you back here tomorrow morning..

"It hasn't extended so far to the point where he's got in trouble in the way that Billy horschel runs a little hot in the golf course and he throws his clubs up in the air. That's kind of gotten him. He's got people upset a little bit in a slight way. People are have been rubbed wrong by Billy horschel doing that in the ways that Billy horschel is run hot, hadn't he's in the perfect sweet spot. So hopefully he continues to think it's genuine. I think people are just, people are just really turned off by a lack of authenticity. And I just don't think you see that with that. And I think that he gets some blowback sometimes when he acts like a proper fool. But in general, you see that he's just so mad at himself that that's where the frustration really stems from. Extremely relatable. Negative self talk from tyrol is just unbelievable. He's just like, have you ever seen a worse golf shot? Tyrol, you suck. The talk coming out of him. It reminds me that tennis player, honestly. He's just the self berating. And I think people see that he is clearly emotionally invested when he's playing, even though he's said that he's totally bored by practice. But I think that with tyrol, you feel like you're getting the real thing. And I think that people connect with that. I think people are really turned off by phoniness, tyrol is really not a phony. Former job zone guest, too. That's right. Way back in the day. I deeply struggled to spell to say his name. I kept seeing Terrell or something like that. If you struggle some combination of Terrell Owens and Terrell, been watching too much Game of Thrones. All you need to know is when you cry tears, that is the beginning part of pronouncing his name. Tyrol. Tyrol, tyrol, Tyrod, and we've got two R's and two L's in that first name. All right. If you're wondering if you should add an extra letter, bring it on. Let's move on to your news of the week,.

"Meetings with ministerial colleagues and others in addition to my duties in this house I shall have further such meetings later today My constituent Carol ridgeway faces 8 weeks of stress and worry as she waits for an urgent appointment at the local breast clinic in North Wales Yet despite the pandemic 85% of patients in England wait only two weeks for their urgent suspected cancer The prime minister is going to face a series of questions now in parliament Tom and this is going to get pretty heated over what happened in spring of last year And for a lot of people reducing to this as just a drink in the garden with colleagues For a lot of people around that period Tom who lost loved ones couldn't attend funerals Couldn't meet the birth of their grandchildren Their babies This has been a massive massive issue in this country and will continue to be so in the coming weeks and months John is there an American equivalent I just don't see it at the white can't imagine President Biden going through this exercise but do you see an American equivalent No right now No Tom Not right now no The prime minister is going to face some questions for the next 30 minutes or so and tell him if there's any headlines we'll bring them to you The main event stateside 8 30 Eastern Time CPI in America from the pandemic to the inflation pressure we've seen off the back of it Lisa 7% is the estimate Yeah and how much is it actually changed the narrative which already is for a stickier pace of inflation How much is it going to be the 7 hand all the sort of shock factor of seeing inflation at that high of a rate versus the underlying components I keep going back to this How much do we need to see a transmission from the goods inflation to the services inflation in order to give rise to the stickier feel that we keep hearing The fed conversation that makes it a big way as well Let's get to the equity market at 5 40 S&P up a little more than a tenth of 1% on the NASDAQ 132 of two tenths of 1% yields on ten four 28 yield tire by almost a basis point Joining us now Sebastian pays CIO and head of global multi asset at hero price Sebastian let's start with that inflation print a little bit later this morning What are you looking for sir We have a range of view at our firm and pretty much everywhere about inflation 7% looks reasonable That's the consensus When we discuss in our asset allocation committee where are we expect to CPI to print year over year at the end of this year Our base case is 3% but we think risks are skewed to the upside And for that you really have to watch the supply chain factors And they're pretty confusing Jonathan right The Baltic dry index is actually down 60% from its peak the cost of shipping stuff But then you have a hundred ships in the ports of Los Angeles You have only Kron creating more and more issues Jonathan you mentioned people not showing up for work at the airport A third of the workforce for united mentioned this earlier So the supply chain remains a puzzle the New York fed is put out an index of supply chain pressures and their narrative is that it speaking but when you look at the data I don't see it I have it on the Bloomberg It just keeps going up So we think the risks are skewed to the upside and we've positioned our portfolios to be short duration Sebastian page the heritage of tyrol price is absolutely unique You guys invented growth you invented sector analysis on the buy side I go back to roger mcnamee and what you guys did in technology T wrote price right now in honor of roger mcnamee on American technology and American growth stocks Am I long At the moment in our asset allocation portfolios we have tilted towards value and we like being long cyclicality because it's a relative valuation call and also a macro call based on the economy Now Tom I got to be really really clear We still believe in the role of technology We're still diversified between growth and value But as asset allocators we think the cyclicality is so underpriced all time extremes in terms of relative valuations It's already sort of playing out so far this year And you have rising rates which is good for financials or analysts on the platform or upgrading financials So that's our position tactically Sebastian how much is that call for value Hinge on this idea that the fed will not be forced to move too quickly will not necessarily become or move to a restrictive monetary policy and that the data will cooperate and allow them to do so You know it's interesting because over the last few weeks Visa we've priced in quite a bit of additional fed hawkishness right Now we're talking about four rate hikes If I go on wi RP on my Bloomberg I see three and a half rate hikes for 2022 Powell yesterday confirmed or talked about balance sheet runoff and the markets reacted okay to that So the question is is the fed going to be hawkish or not It's more can the feds still surprise on the hawkish side relative to what's priced in at the moment Our views the direction of travel for rates is higher this year and that's why we're short duration But what we really are looking at right now are the long-term dots There are two and a half percent They've been at two and a half percent since 2019 Will the long term dots change And that could be the kind of tailor risk hawkish surprise It's very hard to bring those up because we've piled on so much debt over time We had 10 trillion treasuries outstanding around the global financial crisis We have 30 trillion treasuries outstanding now How have we done that We've done that by lowering rates such that death service If you plotted on the same chart it's almost a flat line So you get trapped every time you add debt and we've added a lot in terms of government debt You handcuff yourself in terms of where the rates can end up So that is where the surprises could come but nonetheless our positioning right now is towards longer rates High rates Sebastian page of T Rowe price Really summarizing the big debate right now in the bond market and on the dot plot Sebastian thank you sir Thank you very much What a bill Dudley called it earlier this week Lisa the long dot the 2024 dart to be precise You think he called it fantasyland Yeah fantastic That basically they thought that it was going to stay so low However on the other side you have Stephen major and going back to that note this morning where he talked about perhaps going along the short end and seeing some value there And seeing a further sell off at the long end that's a tactical trade He still has the same view that we just heard from Sebastian page that long-term rates can not go up that high simply because of the amount of debt and how difficult it is to get to that higher terminal rate no longer term basis This is the.

"Welcome to the episode 82 of the ski podcast, and thanks for joining us listener. We've got lots of ski related chat for you in this episode, including advice on how to stay safe on the mountain. What a rocket is and interviews with not just one, but two British Olympic medal winners. Now, firstly, I'd like to thank Switzerland tourism for sponsoring the podcast. I think emissions are a big topic right now with cop 26 going on. So you might be interested in this activity. I spotted this week in andem at where this winter, you can try E quad biking. You can actually rent electric bikes by the hour, ride them on a special three K track. So that's a great emissions free activity. And to go along, if you happen to be in and out, with ski touring, which is what I was doing when I was there last in March 2020, the day after the lifts closed. And I happened to travel by train as well. So if you want a really low carbon trip, try going by trains and Matt ski touring and go E could biking. Now, my name's Ian Martin, I'd like to introduce my guest today. Firstly, I'd like to start with Henry Schneider wind from the eponymous Henry at Henry's avalanche talks, hi Henry how are you? I am great. It's great to be here. Excellent. And also joining us, we have Megan Hughes, deputy editor at in the snow magazine, Jaime, and how are you? Hi, and I'm well, thank you. Thank you for having me. It's a pleasure and you may have spotted that that story, the echoed biking, I pulled out over the most recent issue of the snow magazine. So I do read them honestly. Let's start by finding out when you skied or snowboarded last. Henry, when was that for you? When I skied or snowboarded last was last April in the Valdez air area of France of Savoy, France. I'm guessing you a ski touring then, were you? Well, I was just going to say yes, because the lifts weren't open in France for the entire season last season. So it was great getting lots of people into the ski touring side of things. But it was a rather slow slow season professionally and socially. That's for sure. Yeah, a very, very different season. Well, we'll come on to how the forthcoming season is going to be looking. Megan, what about yourself when were you last on snow? Must have been summer, but it was this no center at Hamilton. By how many guests on the show, their last skiing, you know, was at hammer or chill factory or one of the other indoor centers. What about actually in the outdoors on the mountain? It would have been March 2020. I think my last trip pre lockdowns was Whistler in Canada. Yeah, that was lovely. I had not been before and I sort of left and just thought, well, I actually really want to move here now, so right. Well, I mean, Henry, I guess you're going to be going back to Valdez air for the start of the season. What about itself Megan? Do you have any trips lined up for this winter? Yeah, actually, end of this month, so end of November, hoping to head out to tyrol for opening weekend ish goal and also just traveling around some of the other areas. I think we'll be based in Innsbruck. So just getting a few different ski days in. Right? Definitely be one of the first end of November. When we are speaking as we are today on Thursday, the 4th of November. We've seen quite a bit of snow in the Alps over the last few days. And it's getting the snow lines getting lower, which is which is very exciting. So let's have a little think about what is the travel situation going to be. Katie cobe isn't able to join us today. So I'm going to run the battle face travel update. And the good news is the red list has been scrapped, not that that really affects skating too much. Testing is minimal if you're vaccinated. It's now just a lateral flow test when you get back to the UK on day two. And in most countries, really good news from this week is that the UK COVID pass, your NHS pass is now acceptable. So you don't have to worry about inconsistencies with EU countries. And I've also seen that that also covers Switzerland now because there was a little bit of debate as to whether you'd have to buy this Swiss COVID pass, which is going to cost CHF 30. But I've read that NHS pass will be covered for that as well. So those are all the really good things. They TBC undecided side of things is whether perhaps boosters, you know, will be required for travel. We mentioned before that if you were one of the early people to get double vaccinated countries like Austria, I have a limit of a year to be considered fully vaccinated. So that could be an issue. More of an issue is going to be the situation for non vaccinated under 18s from the UK because that will be all of them. And it looks like regular testing will be likely, but that's all still unclear at this stage, November. I think it will become more clear as we progress to the season. France is going to make some announcements on that. In their mid November. And one really interesting development, I saw this week, possibly controversial. In Canada, a number of resorts have decided that they're only going to let fully vaccinated skiers and snowboarders on the slopes. Now I'm going to stick a link to that into the show notes. It's up in the nicus area. And I have a lot of details about that. It seems quite surprising, perhaps, a bit controversial, but we'll see if other resorts pick up on that as well. Now we mentioned about snow. I do have a couple of snow reports of this week versus from Dave Burroughs, regular contributor and presenter of the ski instructor podcast. His updates from trevino. It's a little while ago that came before the recent snow. And that's going to be followed by Simon Burgess. Regular listeners will remember his report from the late districts in May in episode 61 and last week he was out in the Netherlands and it may be the flattest country in Europe, but as you'll discover as an excellent indoor slope there. Halloween it's Dave burrows from snow pro ski school. I join you from the top, the very top of the sas glacier here in Switzerland. I'm here with my colleague Mike. Magic Mike who works snow pros in Villar. What's the conditions like today, Mike? We had a bit of an Indian summer here in this part of the Swiss Alps and there's a very little cloud so it's been quite sunny, but we'll set the top of the gases being cold. This is currently at 3400 meters. It's about minus ten Scott chili on the fingers. The snow is good there this snow is really good high up. It's quite crisp, but packed it really well. It's beautiful to train and scare this. Isn't it? Normally, there's a few icy patches on the glacier, but actually like today, it's just that really nice soft grippy sort of glacier snow that everyone's kind of looking for. It's really good for good for skin. Yeah, and I enjoy it and like I say this not too busy until there's a couple of national race teams up here, but yeah there's enough.

"About this song. Sun goes down right and how you express yourself on that and just things you went through as a child you feel like sometimes those things do come back though they come back up but i feel like i'm able to recognize them and then makes things easier. you know. maybe we'll say okay. I can react to this differently now. You know and also just remember like we all experience the same in different ways like no matter how bad it may seem and it's like just being okay with that you know it happens in life we're going to have happened to us over and over. It's going to be a lot of bad parts. Lot happy parts. And i'm just i'm here for at all. I'm glad you went to therapy early. You know what i'm saying you. You're twenty two twenty two. I didn't go to would like thirty six. You know what i mean so you know. I'm packing all over the baggage. I love it. I go once a week absolutely go once a week. Still going for like five years five six. I love go back one day. I don't understand why people are so mad about things that you do. You know people were just really easily angered at things that they already don't like you know it's kind of like how we people cancelled artist right. That's right you feel pressure to do everything you've done before. Like i gotta outdo old town role. When i got an out due to vm. As like you always think like. I have to out do it. I feel the pressure to always make sure. I'm doing my best on whatever i do. I know i'm gonna outdo like over and over and that's just like my like feeling cocky bitches like like knowing that you know that's how i feel like manifestation works in the first place then you gotta believe that in philly So yeah is there a time you plan to do something and then you change your mind. Like when i look at you now i can tell. This young man is really freeze really comfortable. You didn't seem that way back. Then i guess. I wasn't because it's the process. You know enough still like it's a steady throughout our whole life. I guess i'm just further along known in twenty nineteen. Did you ever think he going to be one where you did that. Ever cross your mind that never really crossing the line. All the time they were caught. Listening To Your Body and Giving it The Rest While Marathon Training

"I'm training for my first marathon coming up this fall in chicago. I'm excited about the big day. But every week that goes by i can feel my body. Need the rest what you do when the miles and the time add up you pull back and if so how do you learn how to give your body the rest. It needs to finally make it to the start line. Listening to your body is really really important with that said all marathon training programs are i would say ninety nine point. Nine percent of them are designed with this in mind right they are built to help you accumulate mileage to get you to a place where you feel comfortable putting in the miles that are necessary to show up on race day and do good with that said it's important that you speak to a coach or a physical therapist or a trainer who can help you better understand how to take care of your body in this time especially as a new marathon array again. This is something you've never done before. It is a massive accomplishment so recovery becomes more in tyrol than ever. And this isn't just like finding yourself a pair of normal boots or using a hyper is right. This is recovery in your nutrition. This is recovery in your stress levels. This is the people that you're surrounding yourself with so be really smart and intentional about how you continue on your journey knowing that there is going to be a certain amount of opportunity costs. And there's definitely going to be a certain amount of exhaustion but if you handle it right and you talk to the right people. This is going to all pay

"Honor your to hillary and to celebrate pride month and like the audience is just like cheering over those things in like. Oh my gosh. Like i did not expect that at all and if you watch the video on instagram. I'm literally like quietly ended song jumping up and down. You have so much energy in that video. What your body is. Just you might as well have trampling you know. Yeah it's totally. I mean. I grew up listening to tricia your wooden how she saying. I even like up until i. I'd probably still do it. I like tap my hip. Because that what tricia does when she singing and only still do it. Sometimes when i'm on stage and like i literally grew up with her like voice in my segers everyday so for her to come out and like make such a statement i love and like such an action like she didn't just say she like did something about it and decide. That's just a cool thing. Tyrol like to have one of my heroes a country music icon. Come out and like dude. That was just so credible. Yeah and then you know a month later. I have my xidan show and we're talking about okay. Covers like what songs have. Would you know. Change things for you. In like last year's and i'm like well obviously girl crash girl crusher for me and phillips lead from little big town has just always even before we really knew each other. He was always just so supportive like anytime. I would post a picture hillary night. He would comment on it like but hearts under it and that is that guy. He's so kind. He is the kind becky. Their last name is sweet. And i'm like people live into their names because they are the sweetest people. I always tell them that i mike. How many times do you guys get jokes about this because you could not find to sweeter nothing sweet But yeah just thinking about it. i was like. I'm going to ask philip if he wants to win. Wanna come up in single crush with me. And he was like girl. Were in the studio that day. But if we're done by the time that you go on stage i'll be there and i'm like okay so up until like you know right before. I went onstage. I didn't know if he was coming or not. And i'm on my way. I'll see you there so he didn't. Isn't that the story of like being an artist or being an entertainer in general. Like there's there's these moments that are on stage and record forever and people seeing them. They're like oh my god. That was epic but literally thrown together by the hair of your kitchen like it just like everything is just walking on a wire at all times and then it comes together. It's amazing but you have to hold it also loosely because there's so many moving pieces that.

Volks from leader The volks from was hitler's hail. Mary was national militia established by nazi germany during the last months of world war. Two arming is many men as they could between the ages of sixteen and sixty. Who weren't already in. The army is a last ditch. Desperate attempt to stop the allies from infiltrating germany Winberg also radios that. There are doubts amongst local soldiers at the alpine fortress israel on march twenty fifth fred mayor reports the presence of italian dictator benito mussolini providing details even down to the hotel. Italian dictator was staying in. He'd give this intel just a month before mussalini was captured and executed. This intel didn't lead to moseley's death but had the war on longer. It could have mayors soon exhausted. The intelligence available from the soldiers so he moved onto another one of green ups objectives. Getting intelligence about the rail and road traffic moving from germany to the italian front mayor gathered perhaps his most valuable intelligence at the end of march beginning of april towards this end when he strode into the rail yard and watch german. Soldiers and railroad rail road workers loading the trains and preparing the tracks. Miraculously he was lucky. Enough to run into in brooks yard. Master oh boy. There's a lot of trains mayor said nonchalant late to the man yard master apply. Wait wait till tomorrow morning assembled hall. We can have over twenty six trains. Each with thirty to forty cars loaded with ammo and tanks. That will be leaving april third and going straight through the brenner. Nice also the real master volunteer information about how. The nazis always managed to repair their bridges after bombings by the allied. Air corpse. Rare corps Mayor said thanks pal to tell my allied leaders about i mean how hitler stuff Of course didn't say that he's kept listening to this yard. Master we've just kept talking. The guys hold mayor that the bridges were collapsible. That's how they kept popping back up. And we're stored in tunnels scattered to the crags of the alps during the day to avoid detection by the ever-present allied fighter-bombers at night. It'd be rolled out to allow trains to move through the printer pass. That shit is crazy. I tried to find more info on these nazi collapsible bridges but unfortunately could not Mayor then wrote what would be one of his most important messages. Ever detailing this info then moved onto getting information about german jet production. One of the highest priorities should be harder. You couldn't just walk into the jet factory posing his german officer. But there was another way he'd get in and get his intel. He can sing his way in right so he grabs guitar. He's the jet factory and quickly got some people's attention singing a song. Gravity woo gravity working against me and gravity walls to bring me down. Come on even if hate it all the other force. John mayer references. You have to admit that one kind of tracks. Kind of place kind of fits. In their course didn't see his way in the war was coming to an end in innsbruck was becoming a magnet for displaced foreign workers fleeing the chaos and destruction of advancing armies from one of his contacts mayor.
