"Have been brutal for two games. It's not super fantasy friendly though because it's not very explosive. It's a lot of running a short path. that's the only thing but yes it is offense. I do not i do. I do think that he has some legit talent. And i do think this is an offense. "There might be an opportunity for jeff. Wilson the comeback in the second half of the year. And yeah. i'm totally with you. I think you gotta blow russia mitchell. I mean that's the guy. That number one underrated prospect profile. Good producer in college number. Two has athleticism has a role that we think like. It's pretty clear since they drafted him he. They're thinking of him as the direct backup to torino. Certain and the number three comes in in week one and is very productive in his own right yesterday. seven yes everything else. Elisha mitchell to me is very clearly the most likely answer here and there are scenarios where he is just really really good as rookie that he was underrated. A little bit by the. Nfl was canada's bizarre. How late he went in. The draft is a better prospect than that. I mean he could be phenomenal again in week. Two and then phenomenal again. Three and if he continues to build that that's only gonna you know lengthened. His his lesion has potential to continue to have a massive role speaking of passive roles co over to the lion side of here in this game. And you know they had a tone of plays in this game and granted. They get an onside kick. The opposing team was up thirty. Eight ten midway through third quarters. They're facing a you know a a mostly garbage time situation even at the very end like i know how exciting it is to have them. You know down eight with the ball but even then like you have to get a two point convert to score. You have to get a two point conversion and then have to win in overtime. You're winning spends a lot lower than people might think given situation but there was a ton of opportunity for the lions team to accrue guard age scored touchdowns and we saw guys get big roles. I mean the andrea swift had eleven carries an eleven targets in this game john williams had nine carries and if i shine had nine targets as receiver which i don't i didn't think i was going to expect it in the game to hopkinson had ten targets Quintas safest at seven targets. Jared goff through fifty seven passes in this game. I mean when it comes to this lions team like. I don't think anyone expects them to be good. But are we underestimating. How interesting they can be as an offense from week to week yet. Potentially i mean. I don't think jared goff looked great but he stood there and through all apple and so that was good. This was like you know another certainly another weird football game situation impacts volume impacts these things. You know you mentioned my news. I break things down in signal noise. I certainly call this noise. The fact that they ran eighty four plays and that they ran thirty. Two of those plays in the fourth quarter. They through thirty one passes in the fourth quarter because they only ran the ball. One time in the entire fourth quarter. They added a ton of pass volume. So what i didn't do sales. I went back Well let's look at the first half right like they only through. I think twenty passes in the first half something like that. Hopkinson at seven starts in the first half now swift had five jamal williams was at three. He was titled tyra williams who left early with a concussion. The wide receivers combined for only four targets and so one of the things. I talked about coming into the season when i was doing projections. I almost never project teams wide. Receivers as a whole for fewer than fifty percent of the targets. But this is a team where i was. I believe under that fifty percent threshold usually up over sixty percent for fevers because i had so many targets projected for both hopkinson and the running backs largely swift. And so i thought this would be one of these rare kind of offenses that flows through the titans. You know primarily through hopkinson and then also through the running backs and that's what we saw in first half. It was led by hopkinson. You already at ten targets on the game. Seven of those did come in the first half when you know. We're a little bit more of a normal game environment swift at the five targets in the first half to get some garbage time but was very involved. williams had some very involved. What happened in garbage. Time is a lot of receiver's got about liquid chief. As you mentioned tana targets that was exciting to see but williams went out and then also sees had no targets in the first half all of that was the second half this trinity benson who got a lot of run all targets in the second. Half i mean some of that stuff was just garbage. Time like you said they are coming back and things broke. Though it takes a couple of different things to add that much play volume you have to get the the onset kick and you have to get the deebo fumble and then you also have to convert an office because a lotta times teams. Get those types of breaks and then they just don't actually converted foreign out though four. Incomplete passes they. Don't add any stats. The lines did do the second part. Not as the positive note they were able to move the ball down score and while they're playing fast actually do some things in garbage that we expect them to be in garbage time. So it's nice to see when the opposing defenses backing off zone. A little bit they were able to. At least you know matriculate the ball down the field right so i thought there was a lithium positive notes from that fantasy perspective like you said that they were Willing to be a little bit feisty and then as far as like fancy value. I thought the swift and hopkinson stuff so so so interesting. Just how much work. They both got hopkinson. Looks like he could catch a hundred balls tight end there. "Eleven zero in week twelve four in week. Thirteen negative for in week. Fourteen negative seven in week fifteen negative for week sixteen and negative six and week seventeen. Yeah defense is really bad I mean it's going be a different defense this year. I mean you got a new regime with dan campbell. I think he's definitely going to have this defense play a little bit better still. They're not gonna be very good. I'm gonna say they're going to be over negative five they they will definitely be over negative five. They will be better than they were last year but again not a lot of people are going to wanna start the lines events unless they have a really good matchup which there's really not a ton of match ups that are very enticing when it comes to the lions There's really not. I mean they play the forty niners week one. I know that which that's definitely going to be a game that you would not want to start the lions defense so after that. Then they play the packers. They played the ravens the play the bears. That's a possibility the vikings now the bengals. I i mean no. I don't see that either. The rams the eagles may be the steelers probably not. The browns definitely not bears again. The vikings the broncos the cardinals. Probably not the falcons. No the seahawks and the packers. Now so yeah. There are not a lot of matchups for the lines. Defense where you feel comfortable and starting them or picking them up to start if you now he ever defense. It's on a bi week or you just flat out needed defense. Which if you're going to the lions defense for help. That's that's really a problem though. Yeah i'm gonna say they. They get over their fantasy totals from last year while they're at least their numbers. They're you know they will definitely be over negative five. I i'd feel safe and saying that but it doesn't mean that you should be like. Oh let me go pick them up now. Absolutely not. Do not pick them up. Don't even try doing that. So let's talk about the kickers. I said gonzales. But i also miss that. They have austin seabird. I think that's how you pronounce him So he was claimed off waivers by the lions so he could be the kicker for the lions. So it's between him zing solace. I mean first of all. Probably stay away from any kicker. That's on the lines. If they got to stay away from that prater is now on the cardinals. So many imp- raiders been there for a while. But now he's gone he's in arizona now. I mean they got siebert. That's how you pronounce it. He had twenty three points last year. Projected for one. Twenty-one if he's the kicker i probably say he's going to be above his fantasy totals from last year. If zing gonzales gonzalez had ninety one last year if he you know he plays In i'll probably be around that number if not than probably gonna be under it. So yeah i. I'm not really gonna go into more depth with that. So that's the kicking position for the lion. So those are all the players from the lions they. You know. there's only a few guys that i feel comfortable in drafting swift and hodkinson which is kinda funny because those are the two guys that i drafted from the lions On my fantasy team in one of my most recent drafts so outside of that. I mean tyra williams if you're playing really deep league he's definitely a guy that you know you can go after but i just really don't trust anybody with the lions i. I just think they're not. They're not going to be a good team this year. I just don't see it again. The offensive line apparently is supposed to be a solid unit. And if that's the case then maybe the lions their offense does better than people expect. Because i think that really is going to play a huge role in this offense can do because of their offensive line is not good. Grow goth is not going to do a veal do anything. He's not he's just he's not. He's not a quarterback that is good under pressure. And you've seen that multiple times you've seen that you know when they played the bears a soldier field a couple years ago when he was a member of the Remember the rams just not a guy that likes to get hit you know in the forty niners basically have owned jared goff last couple of years and guess who he's opening up against. I kind of set it already but the forty niners the team. That's really been tormenting him the last three years now he will be opening up against and that is just not a favorable matchup for him. I mean with golf. I mean i just i don't know he just. He really didn't have a good season last year. And you could definitely see why the rams wanted to move off of him. I mean you kind of heard the rumblings about it. But i i really did not think that he was going to be off the rams i thought he was going to be a member of the rams again this year and then they went out and they got stafford and i think stafford is a big upgrade over goff. And i think that's gonna pay off for the rams i mean again. I'm hoping that golf does well with detroit because feel bad you know and i think that he you know. He's a solid quarterback. I think in a lot of people will say. He's benefited from the system that he played in. And i agree with that. But i feel like you know. If he's in the right system he can be can still be a solid quarterback in now. It's not. I don't think he deserves to be a backup at this point. I mean definitely is a guy. Like i said that you know if you play him right. You're gonna make him flustered. You saw it in the super bowl that he played in. You know you put pressure on him. He's a different quarterback but he's got a clean pocket and he's got guys at he can throw do. He could definitely be solid quarterback and we'll just have to wait and see on that. I don't think week one is going to be positive match-up for him but we'll have to wait and see but yeah the lions i mean. I just really don't expect a lot from them this year. I mean definitely losing golladay. Marvin jones really hurts. And you know if jared goff those guys to be thrown to the i'd be a little bit different on the lines it'd be sending out..

"And then when you look at this wide receiver unit. That's been paired in detroit. With the marriage jared goff. They gave him all guys. Outside of the the draft selection of almirante brown all bertha players tyra williams rashad. Param cleef raymond. All these guys they brought in our vertical downfield assets paired with a guy that has nine passing touchdowns outside the red zone past years with an offense of wizard. John mcvay So i just believe that. Nfl teams that they want to stop tj. Atkinson are going to be able to do it. I mean there's gonna be a low bar and I think he'll be fine. Have a safe floor Like you had last year. But i don't know if he's going to be the league winning entity that a lotta people kind of think like this breakouts can happen. No i think if there's going to be a league winning tight end outside of the top three. I think pits kind of carries that sash more so than anders hopkinson. But i'm with you on the floor for hopkinson. There aren't a lot of tight ends. You look at it and say that guy's gonna lead his team in targets but hodgkinson's one of them and he was really close to being like a big breakout last year nine or more p r. points in twelve of sixteen games so if he does a little bit more and i think he'll get a little bit more of a target share from golf. I like how goff played when he leaned on his tight ends a certainly toward the end of two thousand nineteen higby but also there were times last year where he did it. His numbers were okay. And if a team leans too heavily on defending hopkinson it will make it easier even for the lions to connect with saint brown or swift after tyrone williams. Whoever they end up running out there in their passing game. So i'm not certain that we're gonna see hopkinson. Get double covered a lot. I don't know if teams are necessarily going to think that they need to. And i also wonder if hopkinson can add like a little bit more of a vertical dimension to his game. So i'm i'm bullish on him and pr not as much non or half pr. But he's my fourth favourite in full..

"They would trade up. Four fields or a lance, but I think they absolutely could. I could see them taking one if he drops. I think, though, of all these teams we've talked about. They are the team. I think of it the other way that that's right, though, that they need a receiver Bouchard, pere men and who also they signed Tyra Williams entirely. Oh, my God, they're receiving corps is brutal, but I don't They need. They need everything they do They just a but terrible roster top to bottom. When I saw that report that they were going up to get chase that said to me, they have chase way higher than the other guys. That's fair because one of them's gonna be there unless they have it in their heads, that they're all gonna be gone by then There's no way But how does that happen? You need Atlanta to pick a receiver. And and then one. Yeah, No. And then I think that's what about that and then pits would have been there. You probably don't take pits, because how do you explain to your owner that you have two tight ends your only talent on the roster. So, so I'm led to believe Detroit values Jamaar Chase way higher than the Alabama wide receivers or else they would not have been willing Trade up. If they thought they were close. They would just sit there and seven and take the third guy or even the second guy. Yeah. Detroit, Detroit, Detroit. I'm worried about them. I think they're wild card. They could do anything them in Atlanta. Those of the two teams you got to be most worried about, I think They could make the FCC's a lot tougher. Going forward 100%.
