So Zach, how have catchers and pitchers reacted so far to and do we know roughly how many teams or how many players are using it? I don't have a good count on that, but it does seem like every time open Twitter or turn on a game that that catcher is using pitch. I know the Diamondbacks use it. I think there are a lot of other teams that are using it. I think the Padres and you Darvish use it on opening day. It seems to be much more widespread adoption than it was in the fall week where guys were contending with this pitch clock. And hopefully, this is early going, maybe teams will go away from it and find it too complicated for some reason, but it seems like it's probably here to stay at this point. There is a video of Tyler Stevenson, the reds catcher showing off how the works, and he's kind of giddy about it in a good way. Yeah, it's been great. I feel like the pictures have liked it and I feel like we can the momentum and the pace of play is actually helped out a lot. He's demonstrating all the different pitches he can throw. And I think he even accidentally hit one of the buttons that said, pick off. Yeah. It does seem like even the guys that talked to him the fall that were hesitant about it. All of them were tired of the slog of having a guy on second base and have to pull out the card and figure out, okay, which set of signs are we on? There's a lot of potential for cross ups there, which is how catchers get hurt. They're expecting to curveball and suddenly there's a fastball coming ten miles an hour harder right at their face. And so there are a lot of people that said, look, I would love if this thing works and we can get used to this. Just at that time that I was talking to players, they didn't feel ready to take on something new. Have there been any snafus or problems or are there any concerns about ways in which it might not be an ideal solution to preventing sign stealing? I think people can kind of see some areas of concern kind of from a distance that I don't know that they've really shown up in practice yet, but they say the signals encrypted, but can it be hacked? We saw this with the Patriots one year, right? In the NFL. So that's always a concern. It seems like it takes a lot of effort to do, but maybe some team is sketchy enough to try and do it. There's some concern about putting in the wrong button or maybe being a players being able to see what buttons that catchers are pressing. I've heard some catchers say, it's a hard plastic unit. They're concerned about what happens if the ball hits it. Less about the unit breaking, but more ricocheting wildly, some place that they have to go chase down the ball and now the runner on base is taken second base or something. So there are concerns about that. And then more broadly, you know, the players in the league are going to have to decide kind of where the guardrails are with this. Right now it's the catch of the pitcher a couple infielders I think have the receivers so they can hear what pitch is coming. But how much farther do you want to expand that? Do you want the pitching coach in the dugout with a receiver calling pitches for his pitcher on the mound? We really want to set up like in the NFL where there's some guys sitting up in the press box dictating the action down on the field. It doesn't seem like it's going to go there, but this technology at least opens up the possibility of that. That means the players in the league have to decide, okay, how far do we want to take this? Are there ways in which Craig and John are looking to improve or modify going forward? What will two look like or include? Yeah, I think that they're probably open to that. I think right now we're at a stage where we're kind of seeing what works and what doesn't and where the areas of improvement need to be. Adding languages is one thing right now, the only languages are Spanish and English. And obviously there are plenty of baseball players in Major League Baseball who speak different languages than that. And so I think down the road, you're going to be able to add different languages in, maybe record your own audio for different pitches. Right now there's, I think there's 9 buttons on the touch pad for them to put in pitches. Maybe there's ways that can customize the unit. The unit itself, you know, it's not some fancy iPhone and touch screen kind of look to it, which is probably better for it. I remember having when I had a BlackBerry phone, I could type a lot faster just because I didn't have to look at the keyboard and see what I was touching. I think there's some benefit to having that tactile feel for catchers than I have to look down at their arm every time they call a pitch. But there might be ways that they could add features on the unit that they don't have right now. But overall, I think right now we're kind of waiting to see how it works and what the feedback is from players. And lastly, Zach, what's your sense of how these guys Craig and John feel about the fact that these two magicians who did not have any previous connection to sports might have solved baseball sign stealing problem? I think they're pretty thrilled by it actually. Well, we're happy with the way it turned out. You know, even though there have been other attempts we thought that, you know, obviously we thought after was the best. And I think that's what baseball reacted to. I doubt they would have even when John hickins had this idea in 2019 that he would have thought that within three years that it would be being used in the major leagues. And that's a really kind of Cinderella story right there. And the funny thing is if you want to go see these guys, they're still working. It's mentalists. You know, John's in San Diego, Craig is working out a Phoenix. I think he does some shows at the Wrigley mansion in Phoenix. He can go see the inventors of right now if you want to, you know, you can go read your mind. Was this dog's name? Was it? Was it pride? Yes. It was for us. It was prize. That is insane, you guys. What is happening? I can not believe that just happened. Well, thank you so much sag really appreciate your time. It'll be really interesting to see how works this season. Yeah, thanks for having me. "On like in the 40 man roster space. So I tend to like catchers they bust out at a high rate, especially the very, very young ones for the longest time. We had no high school catching prospects. Drafted early on who panned out at all. Like Devon Meza Rocco, who dealt with many injuries after he was an all star Austin hedges who has strikeout issues that ultimately peaked in an average range and has been like shy of an average range most of the time. Over like a ten or 15 year span, those are the only two Tucker barnhart I think maybe he's the third one. Like high school catchers who became any kind of regular big leaguer at all and then Tyler Stevenson has come along and there's Ivan Herrera and Wilson Contreras is great and here comes Ruiz and rachman and Francisco Alvarez and Dalton varsha was fun and unique and so I think that we have a bit of a catcher renaissance that has been occurring over the last three or so years that most of the guys who were in this group are going to establish big leaders at this point guys like Sean Murphy or will be pretty soon. There's going to be some attrition, some guys are going to have weird mics and eno trajectories where they're terrible initially and then break out later because that's just sort of what catchers do, Tyler flowers, Travis star no, et cetera but I do think that there's a really exciting group of guys playing this position. And I touched on this when we talked about Richmond just like the ways you can create value and think about a guy who's pretty low on this list was still on the list like Cory Lee at the Astros. And just the way we value catchers and think about what a good catcher is. There's not a soul in the world as a 50 bat on Corey Lee. Nobody. But if Corey Lee hits two 30 with 22 bombs plus defense in the 7 arm, he's gonna put up three four win seasons. And so, you know, I think you have to kind of adjust for the position. It is the most important position on the field. It's difficult to play, and to get a guy who can hold up and play a 130 games and deliver just some walks and power and really play the position well is incredibly valuable. I want to ask about a couple of guys who have injury concerns are coming back from injury or have recently succumbed to injury that we have learned is more serious. Always fun when one of your top ten has to get has to get surgery the day that you release the top 100. Now, but let's talk about Josh young and then for guys who are kind of on their way back at various points Corbin Carol and also Royce Lewis, I think it's always interesting for people to hear about how you think about injury when you're ranking these guys and the role that it plays, I think we're of the opinion that this would not have meaningfully altered young's future value, but might have moved him down on this list. So let's talk about the recently injured guys. So yeah, it is hard, especially with the pitching piece of it, often, as I mentioned before, like Brent honey, you just stay on these guys too long. Right. Hitters, it does feel a little bit different because it is not such a consistent occupational hazard. The fact that Corbin Carroll injured his shoulder in a season ending way on a swing with which he hit a home run is like bizarre, it's in that three minute Tati's area where while this guy's like two explosive for his own body's own good. And so yeah, it does make it hard, especially coming off of a lost season for all these guys already. Corbyn Carroll, who is a hit tool driven prospect, like traditional leadoff hitter, type of prospect, one of the only guys who's not like an overt power hitting prospect in the top 20 of our list. He needs to perform consistently. Now he had done nothing but that for his entire life leading up to his injury. And there are just things specific to me and my experiences being around Corbyn Carroll that give me a certain degree of confidence in his desire. This is just a guy I see out at baseball games in Arizona because he wants to go there. So there are subjective things that factor into this in Carol's case, I just thought that he was coming to the big leagues real, real fast entering 2020 and he just didn't have the opportunity to climb the minor league ladder quite as quickly as I hoped because he got injured. It's a complex thing to try to weigh all of these injuries because they do have varying degrees of severity and there's a lot of stuff about it that we don't know. But ultimately we're trying to bet on the talent when these guys have the injury and then be sensitive to that we might need to adjust quickly when they come back if something doesn't look right anymore. You haven't published the farm rankings the organizational rankings yet and I know that you're still working through some of the individual team lists, but who stands out as having a lot of representatives on this list or not having a lot and what does that say about the state of those teams, I know it could say different things for different teams like the White Sox don't have a prospect on this list, right? But the white sex have a lot of good players that they've graduated and they're a great team right now. Whereas some teams that might not have a lot of players on this list are not in such enviable position at the major league level. So what were the trends if you've done any of that math to figure out which teams have the most or fewest players on this list? No, I mean, I think it's really hard to be a really good team and have a really good system. It's really hard. Dodgers are exceptionally good at it and one of the reasons the Dodgers are always good. But a very smart person was told to me if you try to have the best system in baseball and try to have a really good major league team, you're going to do a middling job at both. Or you can be the race. Or you can be the raise and that's its own. It looks like that. The White Sox, they don't have a good system, and part of that is because some players haven't worked out and part of that's because they've traded guys away to improve the big league club. So sometimes your system is down for all the wrong reasons. Anytime you kind of say, this is how the systems line up. It's kind of a snapshot in time. And some of those teams are down. It's not an indictment of their scouting or player development. It is an indictment of the way they are currently operating at the major league level. And so I don't think we should necessarily, it's fine to line up the talent, but I don't think it necessarily tells you a lot about how that system does all that. It's not always a 100% informative and a system does in terms of scouting and player development. I think that's a really important distinction to make. And the other thing is just that no one wins an award for having the best system in baseball. Nobody. You know, it just doesn't work that way and it's good to have a great.

That is not In the middle of the infield at Great American Ballpark. Tyler Mally at home this year has an E R a of 609. He is giving up about 1.5. Walks and hits per innings, pitched. Ah, opposing hitters are Hitting him in an O. P s rate of 84. The collective batting averages. 2 76. He has surrendered 18 home runs. You remembered all that right on the road this year entirely different story. An E R A of 1 90. He is giving up less than one walk and hit combined per innings. Pitched posing batters have an O P s. 5 57. And, uh, he has given up four home runs on the road this year in 65 a third innings at home 18 homers in 68, a third innings. It is remarkable. How bad Tyler Malley has been at home compared to how good he's been on the road. The good news is this, uh, his next two starts are both going to be away from Great American ballpark. That's a step in the right direction. Meanwhile, Jon Lester gets the ball for ST Louis. "Cubs play Game two of our three game series tonight in Chicago. And thanks for joining us on the Cincinnati Reds pregame show presented by your Cincinnati northern Kentucky Honda dealers. I'm Dave Arm, Brewster. There's no denying that the Reds have been struggling the last couple of weeks since August 22nd when they completed a four game series sweep of the Marlins. Cincinnati has lost 9 to 13 games and dropped four straight series. The players are well aware of the recent slump. A catcher Tyler Stevenson, is optimistic they can turn it around. I mean, it's just gonna take everything day by day and not look Too far ahead. I mean, we just got to continue to what we do and take it day by day, and at the end of the day, we know where the outcome we will have, and we start the stay positive. I mean, everything sign in here and felt house. Everybody's positive, So we just gotta obviously maintaining and come out tomorrow and New Day. Just anecdotally. It seems like the stretch you guys have had the other team's been scoring first majority of the time. That is that. Is that been difficult. I mean, obviously any team above to have a lead. But it just seems like you guys had to buy a lot of catch up lately. Yeah, I mean any time that somebody can score first Definitely is a good momentum going into the game and whatnot. Um Yeah, I just feel like as blade they've Um, this has kind of been one inning. When stuff kind of done in all your ways. It's fall together, and then they get a time ahead and stuff. But, um, it's gotta keep making her bitches and keep getting our heads. Some. Everything rolled. Everything will work out for fun. "That is among the best in baseball. And so i wanna talk about tucker barnhart in tyler stevenson. Because i think the last time i talked with you tucker had just gotten a cincinnati. You had been teammates with him. You had been mentoring him. What has it been like to watch him. Evolve into a gold glove catcher. Somebody who is among the best in his sport at handling pitchers and this year at least somebody who's been Productive with the bad as well. He's putting the work man i mean. He's he's always been a defensive guy. I Allow the new things that have come out as framing and stuff like that is put him into a different category. But you know he's always always take your in with something and we talked I think it was about seven years ago when i still was playing. You had mentioned some and he kind of just shrug it off and five years later. He he comes up to look. I'm gonna do this. And i really know you told me about five years ago. But you know he. He's he's a veteran guy. Now that knows what he has to behind the plate and and knows what he has to do to get ready. And and he put it together. And for tyler's be up there with them you know is just is great for him to continue to build and become a better catcher. Yeah let's let's talk about tyler. I'm of the belief this guy's going to be an all star and one of the most highly touted reds prospects in decades. Going all the way back to johnny bench. He certainly has helped out with the bat but but his his his role tools as a catcher have have been refined in the reds organization. You've had something to do with that. So walk me through what it's been like to watch the development of tyler stevenson. You know when got him that was a catcher but you know was just he. He wasn't as mature as that. You want somebody back. There say gynecology and there was active. We but every.

"So market pretty impressive Sweep the fish and, uh, it was. It seemed like they were kind on their heels after losing two to the Cubs, and then they come back and absolutely take apart. The Marlins. Yes, They really should have been the Cubs as well. But you know, you got to beat the teams that are that are struggling. That seems that you're supposed to be. The Reds have a lot of those games on their schedule in the second half, and they definitely took care of business against the Marlins that was needed. And now let's turn their attention to a you know a team that's ahead of them in the standings for the division, and they gave and I got to play the brewers and have a very good series of more So, look. They look like about thirties or so games left in your opinion. Mark. What does this team have to go? Can they go? 500 still be safe. Do they have to go above that? Can they go below it? What's your thoughts? I don't think they can make can afford to tread water. They have to have to keep pushing. The Padres are struggling. They got the hydrates where they want them an offense. They're just stating they just fired their pitching coach today. It would have seemed to be in disarray. They the the Dodgers and Giants repeating each other up right now, and the Giants or the Dodgers are trying to get the division rather than the wild card. So the red should just take advantage of this and keep trying to win series. I don't have to win every game, certainly, but if they can take two out of three or three out of four and all these series down the road The odds are they will make the playoffs. It's in their favor as long as they keep winning series. So it's obviously not one player. You can't am. It's not on somebody's back. But who would you say and take off a couple of three guys that have really made the difference in making all this happen right now. Certainly Joey Votto, first and foremost, uh, he's been taking offense. Really? Uh, I guess we We broke it down since the beginning with a little girl when he got thrown out of the game in San Diego. He's been really good ever since then. And, of course, he's been really good since July, thinking his last 32 games. 17 home runs, which is the most in baseball, or tied with Connie, or stuff like that. And he's just been a force and and clearly he is what that team up offensively. Tyler Sequin of late has come up. The last two weeks have been a big 12 game hitting streak with five home runs, and you know, he had a big start to the season to kind of dip for a while, and he's back. And it's certainly the pitching. You've got to look at guys like weight. Miley. It's been really consistent throughout in the bullpen, the additions of Givens and bringing Lorenzen back from the I l and Luis excessive. They've all been doing their things, so it's really been a group. Group like, you know, Collaborative, and you can't forget the rookies. Also Jonathan, India, Tyler Stevenson and Vladimir Gutierrez have also pulled their weight, so it's been a lot of good things happening to make this happen. They certainly have a little ways to go 35 or so games and they've got to keep pushing. So mark. Obviously, they've got to still hold off the Padres. But who are the other teams? Their most? I guess who's the most dangerous in your opinion? Imagine ST Louis, the Phillies and the Mets are in that conversation. ST Louis I think lost two games the Pirates inexplicably, but in European who's the other team? The Reds gotta hold off here. Yeah, certainly. ST Louis. Certainly. Philadelphia. Uh And I mean the mats. I won't discount them, but they're kind of like the Padres. They're treading downward right now. Trending downward. They're They're just not playing Well, they You're a mess and even their owners on Twitter wondering what's going on and just we'll see what happens. But I I mean, one thing the Reds have been saying, and they've been really good at this whole season. Even when they were losing is they don't seem to get to Ahead of themselves. They don't spend a lot of time looking around. They claim and I know in the past, they said they have scoreboard watched this team doesn't seem to be doing that as much. I think that really are being Condition that really just focus on the game in front of them, And it's so cliche to say one game at a time. But I think for the first time, maybe in baseball history they're actually looking at one game at a time, and it's kind of wild because they don't seem to get worried about what other teams are going. They really worry about themselves well, and that's the thing. Just keep your head down and keep plugging away. That's all you can do. You start like you're saying you start scoreboard watching the look on over your shoulder. He ain't gonna get anywhere. Yeah, I mean, they've They've done a really nice job even when everyone was calling for all their heads to be taken off during the you know the middle of the season, when the bullpen was well in games when they were game under 500 when it just all look lost on several times this season, not just once, and and I got to give them credit. They've always kind of state centered and state level and never thought the season was over. Even when many people did. And they kept going, and that served them really well. They just they and they have the knack of if a player does hit the skids or player gets injured, you know, like McAfee on us, they they all rallied and kind of do the next man up thing and found a way to Make up for his lost production, and it's it's to serve them well season. All right, mark with that will let you go. Thanks so much, buddy. Have a great afternoon. Stay cool. Thank you Could try Buddy Marker. Sheldon MLB t. I never doubted once you and Willie and some of those other folks, we're just not one time Did I doubt this red seem okay? Said. It was going to have a late push. You have to beat up on a bunch of bad teams, but everything is going to be fine. Our panicking say I'm a difficult I'm a typical Reds fan, because when they lost those two games of the couple, actually, I was like, got a stuff got to I start football season and now they come back and kick ass and so they're right back at it. All right, Let's take a couple of calls here in regard to getting vaccinated. Now that the Pfizer vaccine at least is FDA approved, Um William, Thanks for holding. What do you have, guys? Seven four million dollars to recap a compensation pig for an unsigned player. Because rocker was selected for the league's pre-draft alright program and did not participate however the rules allow the mets to forego offer and still receive the pick players expected to be drafted high often skipped program which allows every all thirty teams to have access to that player's medical information by not signing rock by not signing rocker. The mets find themselves with eight hundred and seventy eight thousand eight hundred dollars. Unspent from their nine point zero two million dollar pool. Most teams expect the pulled up by five percent allowed without being penalized which pushed the mets unspent. Money to more than one point three million dollars had they signed other players under their slot value with the rest reserved for rocker. A rockers expected six million dollar bonus. Rocker was the only player drafted by the mets this year to not be signed but after this. Let's talk about the rookie of the year. The has the there couple really. Good guys You have guys like tyler stevenson for the red. You have guys lake Trevor rogers and gestures and home for the marlins you have ryan weather's for the padres out in the nfl out in the al. And you have guys like german mercedes. Casey mayes manual claws out key luis garcia. All these garcia. You have a lot of guys is that we can talk about especially like there. There are just so many players right now and they and the lawyer they young. This is a very very fun year to have watched. All of these players. This is this is a year baseball. I'm not allowed to you. So let's just start out in the nfl. So guy is in a rut and he definitely could turn it around and if he were to turn around he probably would end up a winning the it would take. It would take a long shot for this guy to win. The nl mvp nl rookie of the year award. And that's jazz choosing home junior. So she's home. Strikeout issues really have resurfaced in a major way to cool the enthusiasm over his really hot start. He's only he's only batting two twenty two with getting on base at a clip of two eighty five. And then he's only slugging at three eighty one percent with a thirty one percent strikeout rate in his last thirty one games and he's fallen to ninth among all rookies with a seven sixty seven opie s. Right now ekiden finitely. Turn that around. That's not something that we we really expect. I mean just home is gonna strike out a lot. That i would expect him to start putting the ball more employees especially with a manager. Like don mattingly who obviously is a very was a very very good contact hitter in his day so i think that maybe i think that with mattingly there and having having children home with the marlins. I think that it's actually probably a really fit. Forges and homeless. Stop getting strikeouts. A couple of guys. That just missed the cut. Kind of our guys like dylan. Carlson of the cardinals and pavin smith of the diamondbacks now buffalo's outfielders have slowed down considerably but remain among the nfl's best rookies with smith. Leading all rookies with seventy seven hits and carlson. Right behind him with seventy six but both of fallen out of this op. Three an among rookies in opie s but aren't far behind one hot streak away from climbing right back into the top tier of the rookie of the year. Contenders some guys. That are on the rise. Our guys like tyler. Stevenson and ryan weather's tyler stevenson. Obviously the catcher of the reds and ryan weather's a left-handed pitcher for the padres was stevenson. And weather's have less playing time than most of the top contenders but with both of these rookies excelled at their approach accelerate their opportunities seasons in as a seven ninety eight opie s in his the highest among all qualified rookies albeit in fifty to one hundred less or fewer at bats than the other top contenders whereas weather owns a to sixty three. Era albeit in thirty viewer plus innings than some of the other..

"And i hope you are too reentered. The hobby after a thirty year hiatus about eight months ago. I really had no idea what i was in for. I just found my old sports card collection. I was learning about greeting cards flipping cards selling on ebay. All sorts of stuff and i had no idea what breaking was and what breaks are and i have since learned quite a bit about breaking in breaks and one thing i've learned is that i will never be a breaker but i am intrigued by breaking has been around for quite some time. It's not necessarily new. But it's new to thousands and thousands of people like you and i who are reentering the hobby after a hiatus from sports cards and want to have access to certain cards now breaking essentially is when a person or a business or a group of people will buy a box either retail box or a hobby box of sports cards. A hobby box would come directly from the manufacturer or a distributor and it would have more chances that autographs and memorabilia and serial numbered cards thus being more expensive more rare. A retail box would be something that you know. We're trying to get at target or walmart or something like that and we're trying to get it for twenty bucks or whatever the ms rpi is But we can't all get them and so some breakers will throw those retail boxes into their breaks and those should be at a lower price than the hobby boxes then what happens is spots in the break are sold usually via facebook group sometimes instagram twitter. There's also apps rate now. Called one is called loop and others called whatnot. So there's all these different places to break and a brigger will sell slots in a break. So if it's major league baseball or nba there'd be thirty spots in a break. If it's nfl there'd be thirty two spots in a break and then each person that buys a spot in a break. Any one of us can buy a spot. We get assigned one way or another team and then the team that we get assigned literally an nfl team nba team or a major league baseball team and we get the cards that are pulled from that team and the breakers was to mail us the cards. So it's kind of like buying a lottery ticket Because you may not get any cards you may get a lot of cards and you may get some valuable cards. It gives you access to cards that you might not otherwise have. And i've done some breaks some good some bad and i've got a few tips on how to find the right breaker grew and i have found the right breaker group that i want you know about now. They are the sponsor of this video. But the reason they're the sponsor of this video is because they are the best breaker group that i have come across and they are called wildcards box breaks on facebook so facebook wildcard box breaks is how you find them and they do a lot of baseball. They're super knowledgeable but they also do football and basketball and they're open to doing other sports like soccer now. I'm a big soccer guy. Because i live in spain so i've learned a lot about soccer euro soccer and all the stars and money can be made flipping soccer cards. And there's a lot of fun action in learning about soccer so they are willing to do that if they can get enough people. I want you to check them out on. Facebook at wild cards box breaks their facebook group. You can join and then you can get into one of their breaks. They have the lowest prices that i've seen out of breaks. Most of them are between thirty and fifty dollars for wildcards box. Breaks and i am going to give you a preview of what it's like being in a break room. The facebook break group of wildcard box breaks kendall and t. They do an amazing job. So what i'm going to do now is to a little bit of a sneak preview of what it's like to be in a break room with wildcard box breaks. Let's check them out a lot of events. Tell me about the saab it. I don't know anything about the. I'll look up. I love blade though. I can picture bogus so you can't wait. Dirk smith we adjust started. Buddy couple padres have been cool pulled. Join the on fire. Aw sheridan apostol rookie card. That's neat whisker sierra rookie card tyler stevenson rookie card to see louis. Loy haven't has auto on race. That's him just coming back from being injured all of a sudden these drop it in dropping an auto in a box. All right you boy. Jimenez oughta gypsy queen. I love it right. That's going for about forty bucks. Yeah nice car. Wise card goes there that they're opening up a box of tops. Gypsy queen cards baseball cards. And you've got one guy on the right opening up the cards and you've got kendall on the left doing a little bit of the analysis telling you the price of the card what it's going for right now and a little bit about the player. So that's what i really like about. Wildcards box breaks. And you see them pull the autographs. Leave it up. So whoever had the white sox in that break got lucky and is going to get that eloy jimenez card so again breaking is a way to get in the door and get access to cards that you might not be able to pick up for the full price of the box but one thing you need to make sure of is that you do the math as well so if you enter a facebook group that does breaking or you follow breaker on instagram. And they're trying to. Dm you to join a break you need to ask. What's the box that you're going to be breaking or are you breaking multiple boxes. Can you send me information on the exact name and year of the box of the product. And what does it cost to get into break right and then you need to go. Google the cost of the box because it may be more economical for you to buy the box than it is to get in the break. So i want you to make sure that you follow these tips and you can read the article below for more information on how to find a good break group and what breaking is but i highly recommend that you join the facebook group. Wild card box breaks on facebook. Wildcard box breaks on facebook there. The sponsor of today's video the sponsor because that the best break group. I've been able to find anywhere. The nicest people entertaining providing the most information about the player that they're pulling and the card that they're pulling they know a ton about baseball and they also do football and basketball. I really highly recommend today's sponsor. Wild card box breaks on facebook again. Kendall in tea or great guys i showed you a little snippet there from a break and i highly recommend that you check them out definitely definitely try to get in a couple of breaks somewhere again. Whatnot in loop are also apps. I think kendall also briggs on loop. so they're they're highly skilled people. And i highly recommend that you check it out. It's a lot of fun and just let me know. Let me know what you think of your experience. Getting in a break and getting access to some more cards that you might not otherwise find..

"Field wall from here. Well, if that ball is Any kind of has any kind of elevation to it. It's out of here. And now Votto with runners at 2nd and 3rd, and only one out as the Reds try to strike early against the right hander Brandon Woodruff. He's going to signal given Woodruff sets. And his pitch to Votto. And he swings and lines it to center. That's a hit Wicker's home. Castano's around third, He'll get the stop sign. Good throw comes in from Bradley and Joey Votto gives the red so one nothing lead with a bullet R B I single to center. Now, This is exactly how the Reds should have come out of the gate against Brandon Woodruff. He's very aggressive, especially with the fastball. The Reds have come out swinging the bats. And already Chris Hook, the brewer pitching coach is on his way to the mountains. And that's a Great sign. If her Reds fan to see the brewer pitching coach going out to try to settle down his ace here in the first inning, it started with a solid base hit into left. It certainly wasn't scorched by Winker, but a good at bat. And then Castano's rockets, one off the left center field wall before Votto laces a single right back up the middle. So the Reds have one home, and they're still at work here in the first inning with men at the corners and one out If you're listening today on your car truck radio, please remember to buckle your safety belt. This message brought to you by the Ohio Department of Public Safety If you're not buckled up, what's holding you back? Now Tyler Stevenson stands in Stevenson really having a fine month of July eight for 24. That's a 3 33 clip. And he's up there right now, with a chance to stretch this Reds lead to before the Brewers even have a chance to back Would drift to the plate. And it's a strike called over the inside corner. That's that breaking ball. You were talking about wonder of spinning the curve, just raising the inside edge. That may have been the message from pitching coach Chris.

"Draft pick a pretty good prospect. People are walking around here wondering whether he really belongs in the major leagues right now. Well Get a taste of them here Today. It's the Reds and Royals. Hope you enjoy it here at Kauffman Stadium. Let's play first pitch of the game on the way, but which turned to loose and the pitch is a little bit too high. Want to know the count 7 11. The time of first pitch 61 to 86 degrees is tonight's Tim Star Game time temperature Boo bitch home with the One. Oh, and it's taken too high two balls and no strikes. You would think for a high round pick hubris would be a flame throwing lefty. He's not his. His average is about 90 MPH, which is well under MLB average. Which home with the two Oh pitch to India, and it's a strike called back to our breaking ball. Two and one on India and complete home comfort with an energy saving high efficiency. Tim Start heating and cooling system. Find your local temp star dealer attempt star dot com Tim Star quality You can feel 21 and India takes way outside. He is Now way ahead of the count, three balls and a strike. What the Reds are likely to see a lot from boot, which is his secondary pitches. If he can get a strike in there, he's got a good curveball. Had a nice change up. Which gets the sign he's ready. He's home with the 31 highball Foreign Jonathan India draws a leadoff walk That's a big reason it is propensity to get on base. Why He is second in the National League in runs scored since he was moved into the lead off spot. He has done a great job of getting on base with regularity, and he's on here to start the ball game tonight, as Tyler Stevenson comes the plate. David Bell was asked before the game about having the two rookies back to back the top of the order. He goes. These guys are playing so well, I don't even think of them as rookies and goes, in fact, until the question was asked. Had even given it a thought. That's really a compliment to how well both of these guys Playing this year and and how well they have Just adapted. To the major leagues. The first pitch is a strike to Tyler Stevenson over the inside corner. The count is quickly nothing in one Stevenson's up there hitting 2 72 5 homers. And 22 bad at end. You bitch. The left hander comes set. And he deals the Oh one pitch and a swing and a miss by Stevenson Kind of funny, but booby just delivery looks a lot better when he pitches out of the stretch, much more compact. He gets his body going quicker. He's a big body, guys. 63. £230 Which is last time out. Took the loss. And a start against the Red Sox. He gave up five runs over four innings. There's a bouncing ball through the right side base hit India will coast into second base and Chris He sat out yesterday Did India And he was scratched from the lineup that ankle bothering him. I don't think the ankles 100% based on watching India go first to second there. Yeah, I was kind of watching him and being practiced during batting practice and fielding practice. It looks like he's favoring a little bit, but he's the kind of guy that you know he's going to tell the management. Hey, I'm good to go. He wants to play every day. And I guess that it's one of those injuries where he can't make it any worse By playing. He certainly got it taped up pretty good. So too, are on nobody out. And here is Nick Castellanos. Just where boo bitch wants to be right. Just a couple of guys reach and now you're going to face the, uh well, the odds on favorite right now for the first half M v p Castano's whirling the bat around as move which gets the sign and come set the left hander deals to Nick Castellanos. Swing and a miss, and he took a cut but came up empty and the count is owned one Castano's homered last night. It was a game tying solo home run for Castano's leading off the red seventh, and that turned out to be the fifth. 500 run of Nick Castellanos career. He will likely start right field. For the National League in the All Star Game in Denver. Here's the old one, and Castano's takes too low and even to the count, one ball and one strike Reds, of course, facing a left handed pitcher. Again tonight, as you alluded to and Chris the Reds just overall this year. They've struggled a bit against left handed pitching and left handed, starting in particular. And now time called So the Reds hoping for a little more success tonight, the Reds Hitting just 2 21 against left handers, as opposed.

"Have patios. Outstanding patios at each other through locations. Check them out. You catch the Reds game tomorrow. Take a maybe a late lunch and check out the reds at barley corns and follow on Twitter. I'd be honored. If you did. I'm at Lance McAllister. It is free to follow. Where at some 70. 4 1068. We would love for you to be 4 71,069 and be a contributor to the show during the show and certainly outside the show, So David Bell said it. I've been thinking about it since the weekend when he said in its Y s Tommy. That's why I'll ask you, the manager of the Red said it might sound funny, but I love watching our team play. Now, you would think every manager would hopefully love watching his team play, but I think there's something more to it than just a throwaway cliche Aid line. Um, what I find myself really enjoying about this team. I, um as the game goes on, I keep a note pad and I got things down. Um, and this is four nights like tonight for Kelsey Chevrolet, extra innings, and I'll put little stars and our ass trick or a triangle and different things next to him, So I know that when it's time for the show, I can look at my sheet. And I see the key points during the game. What stands out to me? Is the number of different names I write down night tonight as contributors to wins the number of different players who are on a given night. Some may do something big. Some may do something little But I look at at the end of the night, I say, look at all the different players who in some way, shape or form. Helped lead this team to win tonight. Maybe it was somebody picking somebody else up. I mentioned it with with Tommy, and it's very clear to me and I think it's just a really cool element of this team in particular. It is clear the other 25 guys live and die with a you, Julio Suarez, his success and failure. You can tell it means you can tell when he's going through a tough time. That the other guys wants so badly for him to get through to successful times. And when he finds those successful times you've seen the shots in the dugout. You see the reaction on the field. How much it means not just a U N e o. But how much it means to the rest of the guys on that team, which clearly is an indicator of how much respect they have for it. It's easy for the fan to throw up their hands, Alright, went over 44 strikeouts. It's clear if you watch how this team interacts with him. They lived through a radio Suarez in the ups and downs of what his season has been like, and I'll go back to what I said last week, there were there were two occasion that jumped out to me the same night. It was what the Thursday night game. When Farmer hit the home run in the bottom of the night to tie the game. There was a shot in the dugout of Suarez giving farmer a bear hug. And that was the night farmer are. Suarez was benched. I think it was the second of two nights in a row where Suarez didn't play. And he wasn't sulking. He wasn't pouting. He wasn't in the corner by himself. He hadn't gone back to the clubhouse. He was in the middle of the dugout to greet Kyle Farmer and give him a bear hug with a smile. Congratulate him on the home run. And then when Tyler Stevenson had the walk off hit The first guy over the railing it onto the field. Was Tucker Bernhardt. The guy who shares the position with him. The guy who has to have in the back of his mind the understanding that you know what I've got an option. At the end of this year on my contract, I might be back. I might not be back, but I know every time Tyler Stevenson has success, it's a It's probably a step closer to him, getting more opportunities for success and the more opportunities he gets, The fewer opportunities I'm gonna get. And yet with that, as the backdrop to wear, Tucker's career is and where it's headed. He was leading the charge out of the dugout to celebrate with Tyler Stevenson. That's what jumps out to me. And so when I hear David Bell say, it might sound funny, but I love watching our team play. I wonder if you feel that same vibe. And since five on 37491 7800 the big £1.700 on a TNT, I got an email from Mike. Glance at Lance McAllister calm and this was after that game on Thursday night. He said Lance after watching the game last night, and then the postgame interviews with Winker, Castano's and David Bell, I think that this year's team will go down as one of my all time favorites. It may seem odd to others that I would say that about a team that has a at the time 500 record. I think a lot of Reds fans feel the way I do. In a strange odd way. This team reminds me of the movie Major league. This is a tough, caring, selfless team. Playing is one even know it appears they don't have the full support of ownership and I don't I don't want to open up that door to get into that element of it. But I think what he hit on ties in with what David Bell has said ties in with what I've said, and I wonder if it's something that you're nodding your head at. I used the 1990 connection there. There was a vibe on that 1919. There was a vibe on the 90 team. But the 99 team was one of those teams Sean case. He has said that that's the favorite team he ever played on. Because of the personalities and the connection they had, and the joy in which they played the game and the number of different guys that contributed to victory night in and night out. I mean, you look at this Reds bullpen right now, and they may I hope not. They may give up four runs tonight. The odds say their duty to have an implosion to give up some runs. I know the odds aren't in their favor of continuing to not give up any runs whatsoever during the five game winning streak. They haven't given up an earned run have not given up a single earned run in the last five games of the winning streak, and that's 16 innings pitched. But what I look at is All those different components of the bullpen and all the different stages of their their careers. Sean Doolittle as As Tommy alluded to has reinvented himself on the fly. He was a guy who was throwing it seemed like a fastball like 99 a half percent of the time and was throwing something other than that occur. But, like a half percent of the time was like, like You don't think this is going to work, do you? I mean, you can always still grow a a 92 93 mile per hour fastball so many times before teams start clobbering it and they were but look what he's done of late. You got another out with a curve ball. Last night, he's reinvented himself on the fly. Amir Garrett, how many people wanted Amir Garrett gone in whatever way shape or form possible bus waiver, a transaction a release what people wanted him punished. People just wanted him as far away as possible. I think it's nine consecutive appearances. He's not given up a run and I want to say it's 14 of the last 15. He hasn't given up a run, and they've done it like piecemeal ng it like all right, let's be careful here. Let's let's build things up again and maybe build up some confidence giving. Let's Let's give him you know a couple of batters here in a couple of batters there, It's got to be three, obviously, with the rule. Let's give him in the sixth inning, maybe in the seventh inning, all right. He's built some things up a little bit. Let's give him the ninth inning and see what he does with it, and they built him back by doing it that way. Brad broke Was released by two teams in the past couple of months and was sitting at Triple A after the red signing, and Brad Brock is now getting very important out there, not giving him out in the fifth or sixth. They're giving them out in the eighth and giving him a chance to go into the ninth. You've got a sausage. I remember when they called up. Oh, sick. I said dosage. I said, what an answer. They're going to a guy with a career five earned run average in his major league career. Look what else it has done..

"If he wins 11 Championship. A bunt is lame. It's lame. Could you see and I'll bring this up to you? Because I want to see your stance on this Kyle Schwarber. Just bunting all over the place. So how he doesn't have to right now, because that dude is on fire. He's hit 15 home runs in 17 games, so The math of that insane. Those last 17 games raised 15 home runs. I think only Sosa and Bonds have ever had a 17 game street like that. Okay, so the math of that is if he kept that up all season. The greatest three home run hitting seasons of all time would be McGuire, 70 Bond, 73 Schwarber 143. That will never happen. We'll never happens. That is Look it up. That's not 143 home runs if he keeps up a 1430.88 homers per game, That's what it is. That's almost as many R B I's as George Foster had in 1977 or home right that hack Wilson Wolf fur and tells them You get 1 83, right. I think it's 1 91, 1 91, Hank Greenberg and Greenberg, which had some big so Schwarber hit is now just hitting so many home runs. He can do whatever he wants, and he and he hit him on. Does that whole street. He hit them all as a leadoff hitter, So I love I mean, that's the one good thing that Moneyball and math and nerds and stats have done is like, Wait. This guy that gets on base a lot. Let's have him hit more times this year. It's like LeBron, you bring the ball up. Yeah, it's like point forward who's like Ben Simmons. You well, not been symptoms. That's a bad example. But like you know what I'm saying, Simmons, you date a Kardashian. But you know what? I mean. That's the point. So Kyle's whoever hit a home run where he just look can you do, Can you Will you do calls, however his he had 200 yesterday, his first homer, So he always he always looks like he's kind of like clearing cobwebs, so he'll have something in his mouth. He'll then stand up, but he'll stand his his upper body is super straight. But then his knees are really bad. Like Eric Sogard lo Yeah, and then So he'll have his hands be pretty low. There's a new thing going on where a lot of people keep their hands like, you know, Gary Reineke Low, right, so Oh, wow. And then he'll bounce around a little bit. And then he will do a pretty high leg kick. All things considered loop the bat around. And then when he finishes the swing on that first swing, Yeah, the first homer He just holds it. He held it. They're going to be his baseball cap. He just holds it. It's actually kind of like an awkward Pilates post. Right and worry, too. He was doing some prana yama breathing exactly. The first of two homers that Taylor Trammell hit the other day. Actually the second home run. He didn't hold it. He flipped it up with one hand, caught it with the other and then flip the bat that way, And here's the great thing about Instagram in 2021 is I'll see a play like that. Go in the backyard, shoot the video of that player, and then that player will see it within 24 hours. We'll see it Amazing because you tag him in it. Or even sometimes, or they don't. Yeah, I don't find it. They find Tyler Stevenson. There's a guy on the reds right now. Big, hulking, awesome. He does this thing where He will like, um, like Dr Evil, he will. One thing he will kiss his pinky hit it against a medallion. What It's so should ever three. Everything. Everything If you told Kiss Medallion if you told me that's what Vin Diesel Dozen F nine I'd be like, Yeah, probably by it, but then back to Tyler. So he basically so I show that on line, and then he starts following me. And now what will happen is if I post something, Hill send it to the right. So it's almost like he's your guy, your guy? Yeah, So it's awesome. And you, You know, we're talking to guardian as the batting stance Guy. Phenomenal Follow at batting stance. Guy on instagram. The instagram stuff you do is on a daily basis is phenomenal. And I got a book A great book. Yeah. Please tell him the name of the title of the book Batting stance. Guy A love letter to baseball's about the 50 greatest dances in my lifetime. So J. So there's a baseball I don't call secret. But it's like a private like baseball dinner that happens like every year. A friend of ours puts it together with, like The guy who wrote What? What movie did he write? Like, just like eight men out or whatever. Yeah. Ron Shelton. So the guy wrote eight men out and like, just this famous baseball person that Bull Durham Bull Durham. So Gar and I go to this thing, and we literally at a certain point, just people start calling out stances, and it was like the most joyous thing I've ever seen. He's doing everyone stand like every single person stance that everyone's calling out and people are dying. And I've seen you do this in locker rooms where you pick like the third guy. I, whose platooning in right field is utility guy, and you learned that guy stance and you do it and the place just crazy up. It's just incredible. Such city. Do you feel like the instagram is now kind of raising that and what you do to an even higher level? Yeah, and what's been fun is so in Let's say 2008 and nine when teams started having me on the field, there was a fear of managers because it was a lot of like Mike. Sasha. Joe. Tory Buck Showalter. A lot of like, mean Business School. Yeah. It's almost like how people would describe their dad like Hey, hurry up! Hurry up your dad's comedy That's going to be mad. Just turn on the TV. My dad's coming after and so and so then what's happened is start the car. Tony LaRussa needs to policy. Right. So a bunch of the players that were on the field with me and Oh, a, You know, not from nine saying Hurry up. Now are the manager. That's right. So they love it during The World Series in 2017 a J. Hinch directness to me. Hey, we gotta get you out West Palm for spring training. So then the Astros had me in in the lock in the locker room and you were just banging the track. I was not okay. I just fire free free that it was their last. Really good laugh. Yeah. Uh, no. It's just a good cry. But now now they've won like 17 in a row. They're like, you know, there's no one can say they're just insane. They lost his license. Okay? Yeah, they have the best run differential. They have such a couple. They're going to find good guys. They're going to be fine. They're going to ask those are going to be fine. They're fine. They're doing their best. They're fine. So, so it's amazing that those guys are now in inviting you 12 years later. Those are the guys who are inviting you out to do this stuff. I just think it's so great. It's again a level of sports Impressionism and we have friends who do impressions and whatnot. It's just the the attention to the detail on how you make it. Your own is of everything and for you, and for this season we were talking before. He came on the air. The best players right now, the the people you want to be doing well and are at the top of the game are doing well, Yes, So if you don't have a team that were like you're a Phillies fan, and you're like it's a nightmare. Cardinals fans. It's been a nightmare This year. Bottom is dropped out. If you're just rooting for basis, Sport. Yeah, um Couldn't have come up with a better list of people to be awesome this year. So like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. That's great. That would be awesome if he was because he to me seems like a guy who never tucks his shirt..

I mentioned Sunday starter will now be Tony Santiago, who will take the spot vacated by Sonny Gray when he went on the injured list. Tony Santa on his pitching at Triple A Louisville. He's 24 years old. He is a right hander. I went looking for more information on him earlier this week on sports talk, and I asked Nick Curran, the outstanding play by play voice of the Triple A bat's How Tony Santiago has looked this year. He's a battler out there. Pat Kelly, the bats manager, talked about that all the time. The competitor. He is out there on the mound, and the latest example was Friday pitched in Game one of a double header obviously a seven inning game and he went the distance and gave up a couple of runs got ambushed on a couple of pitches. First pitch of the game was hit out for a homer on a fastball and then the first pitch of the second inning was a triple, which led to Iran. But Battled through walked for He struck out 13, which was his career high, and he threw 111 pitches in that outing, which was the most he's thrown this year and was still still downloaded up to 95 96 on the radar gun with the fastball, even at the end of that outing, and, um I think PK really wanted to let him go get Get the full distance in the complete game, and he was able to do it. But he's so much fun to watch. He attacks hitters and and you know, the strikeout numbers kind of indicate that and he's, uh, he looks. I know. He battled some injury issues a couple of years ago in the minor league season with Chattanooga shoulder issues, but but he looks completely healthy this year and has been really, really solid. Nick Curran. Voice of the bats on Tony Santy in 24 years old right hander. He has a 1 29 earned run average on the season. 14 innings 18 strikeouts only two walks. I asked Nick current about the Mohler product fill deal. He's been great in whatever situation he's been brought into, and he's a guy that over the course of his career hasn't walked a ton of batters and hasn't given up a lot of hits, either. I mean, you've got a career 11 whip or so and keeps the ball in the ballpark to doesn't give up a lot of home runs. I mean against lefties in writings. He's pretty much locked Everybody down. He's only given up one earned run, I think in 11 innings at this point and Um, you no matter the situation, and he's also come in in a couple of spots where Piquet has brought him in to face a lefty, maybe with two outs in an inning, and I think just about every time he's been able to get that out, you know, so he only faces one batter, and then with the three batter minimum rule, you can you can end an inning and then get taken out, and I think that's a pretty valuable thing. If you have a lefty that can get that out so he can come out of the game, and you can bring maybe a righty in to face the next guy up if you can end the inning, and he's been able to do that. Two. He's been He's been really, really good. So far. It doesn't necessarily have maybe the overpowering fastball. But boy, he finds ways to get guys out. Nick current on Phil Deal. "Coming down very lightly, but blue skies starting to re emerge. Tyler Stevenson, drawing a one out walk. He's aboard. And now Tyler Sequin will stand in. And Now a towel for John Gant as he tries to dry off his hands and the glove and good luck while it's still raining. What plate umpire Scott Barry says. Let me borrow that. You sat on home plate, clean it off. Looks like Gan is a bit flustered. I'm sure he's not really happy with the Home run that Winker hit, but he's pointy point. He was pointing to the mound. Now he's trying to Do a bit of man manicuring out there himself. Sometimes you just have to get over the the rain that's in play and Be a little mentally tough. Well, these fields now the grounds crews know so much about how to maintain dirt and the clay mixture on the mound that The fields are actually designed. To withstand a lot of water. I'm not talking about the grass. I'm talking about the actual dirt. The pitch to Tyler Nay Quinn is up and away and the count is one ball and no strikes. So In theory, they should be able to take a lot of rain and you should still be able to maintain your footing. Whether you're on the mound or Around the infield. Can't get the sign. Now sets and deals to make one One old pitch and an underwater swing in the rain is a strike on the outside edge off the plate, and it's one and one, and now the rain starting to pick up once more, and I got to imagine if the rain picks up again like it was a moment ago. I have to stop right One ball one strike on Nike win any ball in any gap. Is going to skip to the wall, especially with the rain we've seen thus far. Can't pauses, pitches, the 11 and it's down and in, but you also have to imagine that they want to try to play through it if they can, because you'd hate to see either team or both burned their starters, especially The Reds when they haven't even taken the field yet. Why a lot of times you'll see a game delayed even if it's not necessarily raining yet at first pitch That's knocking on the door step. They don't want to get the game started, burn a couple of starting pitchers and then have to delay it. Here's the 21 pitch camp to Quinn. And he swings and Yanks it foul right side. Two balls. Two strikes on Nike one runner on first base, Tyler Stephen Sidney drew a one out walk. We'll use that slider in as he just through the neck win and come right back with.

"It really matters who's on the mound. Guy comes in with 1.6, and he hit that ball so hard. It brought rain here in saying it is pouring right now. The skies opened up and it started to rain while that ball was in flight. And now the rain is really coming down as Nick Castano's come to the plate and folks, I mean, they are really scrambling for shelter. And I mean right now. As Marty used to say, rats office. Thank you exactly what it looks like the exits. Folks. Here's the first pitch to cost Janos and he takes a strike over the inside corner. The count is owned one. We thought it might be possible that there would be rain showers off and on. First and I don't know that this is something that is going to be around for a while. But, boy, I mean, it is coming down. And the wind is really suddenly picked up and it is howling toward the left field foul pole. Can't into his wind up home with the Oh one pitch and Castano's grounded to short circling around Sosa fields and throws in time to Goldschmidt for the out. One away. It is straight down rain. And that gives you an idea of the wind patterns here inside The ballpark at Busch Stadium because As we've talked about in this series, with all the buildings that have been built up around the ballpark. There may be wind around the stadium, but once you actually get inside the rain, the wind just doesn't move much. Here's Tyler Stevenson and the pitches up and in for ball one. Normally you see The manager at the top step on this afternoon. Right now you see the ground screw head for the Cardinals at the top step, and he and home plate umpire Scott Barry are really sharing a lot of back and forth glances. You gotta imagine he's probably Mind right now. Let's get this thing covered. Put the blanket out there. Can't Into his wind up home with the one Oh, two Stevenson and the pitches off the inside corner. But now the rain is really starting to let up. Coming down pretty good for a while. The boring I mean, pouring, but there's no puddling on the field at all, which is a good indication of How well this field is maintained. The two Oh, pitch to Tyler Stevenson grounded sharply foul outside of third, and it's two and one before we even have a chance to tell you about John Gant scoreless inning streak, which came in at 11. It's over. CIA. Two run shot by Jesse Winker, his 15th home run of the year. And the Reds have to run advantage as Tyler Stevenson bats in the first inning. With nobody on and one out the rain coming down very lightly. Now it is really let up the 21. And Stevenson takes down and away three and one. It just amazes made. Looking at this 50 inning 50 plus innings only allowed one home run and winker first at bat gone. First home run the Gantz allowed since April 18th against the Phillies down and in Three and one on Tyler Stevenson and As quickly as the rain came in and poured for a moment, It's still coming down very lightly, but blue skies starting to re emerge. Tyler Stevenson, drawing a one out walk. He's aboard. And now Tyler Sequin will stand in. And Now a towel for John Gant as he tries to dry off his hands and the glove and.

"Malli goes to the mound tonight. He's too and one with a 3.0 E R. A And he is his mouth opponent is Jolie's shot. Seen a pair of right handers shot Sena's Oh, in one. With a 5.84 e R a now Malli. He went five and a third innings on Monday when he gave up one run in a win against the Pirates in all, but one of his seven starts this season, Malli is pitched at least five innings. What's crazy is he struggled at home, posting a 4.32 e R. A in three home starts. And first shot scene. We've seen him before he but he's making his first start of the 2021 season after having already made six appearances out of the bullpen for the Rockies. And in his career as a starter, he's posted a 4.3 e R A and 226 career starts. He has a 75. And 86 won loss record as a starter. Nice producer. Always appreciate his help is Jeff car and you could follow him on Twitter at J. E. F F F three efs car and he is the author of Locked on Reds podcast, and we've been talking off the air, all kinds of concerns injury concerns with the Cincinnati Reds, Of course, pitching concerns. They're already down a mirror. Garrett serving his five game suspension for inciting that on field incident against the Chicago Cups. And now Mike Moose, Takis. And Nixon's L both have healed contusions and a contusion is a bruise, and it looks like sends. L could possibly come off the bench tonight. But move stock is Is out again and man, just a tough break here with the injuries, Jeff and with his deepest this roster isn't ah, whole lot of injuries. We're going to be a problem. For the Reds, especially trying to get back to 500 remain in contention for this division that the Cardinals are seemingly starting to build a lead with you. No, no doubt, and I wrote down some notes here. Just Winker. Oh, my God. She leads the National League in hitting at 3 64, and he's got his what eight game hitting streak still intact and second in all of major League baseball behind yet her mean Mercedes of the Chicago White Sox is bad 3 74, but wink Incredible. And last night hey, show go Akiyama shots of speed. He got two hits. So did Jonathan India and Tucker Barnhart in India went deep with a 451 ft home run, which is an awesome sign for this kid. Was good to see him Go. Yard is also good to see Tyler Stevenson go, he argues. There's been some good signs from the young guys on this team, and you were talking about Jesse Winker and his amazing streak. He was on a streak of. I think it was that least 21 at bats in a row without a swing and a miss. That's exactly right. It was a least 19. I remember it. It went up from there, but that's just can you imagine? Yeah, swinging at what 20 or 21 consecutive pitches and hitting the ball every time well, and that's the thing. It's not even 21 consecutive pitches. This 21 consecutive it back at batch. Jessie Winkler can building that Batman you're talking about like 89 10 pitch it bad. There's not a picture in this league right now that once Jesse Winker to come to the plate Now we saw a U N e O swore is hit a home run last night, his seventh And of the season and then Tyler Stephenson, playing some first base after pinch hitting. I'm liking it, because the dude has power, and that's what this lineup needs right now. In the short term, he seems like a pretty good option there. The interesting thing will be if they decide to put a U. N. E O back at shortstop. I know that the fielding metric outs above average It's from baseball savant. Statcast had him as the worst and I don't just mean the worst shortstop. He was the worst fielder at minus 10 outs above average, So can he go back there and figure it out? Maybe. But does he even want to do that? At this point? That's kind of the question that everybody should be asking. He certainly looks a lot more comfortable at third base. But with Stevenson at first base, that is an interesting it kind of opens an interesting door. Because Tucker Barnhart's been hitting the ball really well this year, and he's always been and continues to be an amazing defensive catcher. Let me ask you something. They've got a team option for next year with Tucker Barnhart. You explore. Tyler Stevenson is the first baseman whenever the D H comes to the National League next year. Absolutely, Yeah, interesting. It really would be probably prolong his career a little bit, too. He's got a great back. The more I think of Tucker Barnhart. Wouldn't there be half the league wanting this guy? I would think so. I would think he would have many suitors if he became a free agent, and he's going to garner a big deal. If you can keep him for one more year under that team option team option is 7.5 million, So they're gonna have to weigh that and hopefully it's not a penny pinching situation. Because starker Barnhardt has been one of the heart and souls of this team. I know that they haven't had a ton of success. But he's one of been one of the bright spots over the last since he's been called up. No doubt his defense alone is just unbelievable and his his back. Strictly from the left side has been fantastic this year, And tonight we have the guy on the mound that really early on this season has been the stopper for the red. So I'm looking for a good night tonight. No doubt in Hey, just a reminder fans out there if you are headed to a.
