"But they're fine picks like could get him after ADP they're find stable titans. Dan Waller had one, thousand, one, hundred and forty five yards last year. If you haven't been listening this off season and you haven't heard me say this but the last decade, the only ten times the only with a thousand yards are Jason Witten Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham Greg Olsen Travis Kelsey George kittle Zakar. It's Darren Waller and then Gary Barge and Delaney Walker. The only one barge finish followed up his thousand yard season with a terrible year Delaney. Walker. Followed up his thousand yard season as the number five tight end in fantasy with six hundred seven. With eight hundred yards and seven touchdowns But neither of them had as many yards as waller had neither of them were as young as waller and I just can't get over that wrong number of one thousand, one, hundred, forty, five yards you talking about hall of Famers in the last ten years who have gotten there. Yet and I think it's important to recognize that like it. Yes. Part of was because of volume, but he was also exceptionally good on a per target basis as well and his average depths of target wasn't actually that much less than ever ingram but he averaged almost as many yards after catch as he did before the catch like he was just really really good. So I know from the way we draft as I look on fantasy pros and some of the players going after. Erz Andrews I know that we would take and you could just jump in if I'm wrong here. Juju. Smith. Schuster calvin rid Lee James Connor ahead of them for sure. I would guess yet, Todd, Gurley probably. Connor. Running backs. Okay. But. Juju and Calvin Ridley for sure. Yeah. Then when you get to like the Court Sutton, Devon's single terri. Tyler Lockett Decay Metcalf Group. That's what I feel like we start looking at hurts Andrews and waller a little bit later than that. So let me say Seattle Wide Receiver or waller or a answers Earth's Luckett. Andrew Seattle wide receiver yeah, that's close. I think it's undervalued to. Okay next up, let's go to the next. Group of players. It's Hunter Henry Tyler Higby Evans. That's around six and seven hunter Henry Tyler Avenue Graham quick thoughts, they're. Better than seven than six I don't think that's Shattering any news obviously rather get a player as late as possible. There's three of them. Whoever's last of those three if you can get them in round seven that's good value. I feel exactly like what Dave said Sohn's tyler who'd be Okay, but do you feel like? Do you feel like they have A. Investing amid round pick round six or seven, and Henry or or Ingram or higby. Is that a lot better than waiting to get Noah fant and Mike Kosinski and seeing who sticks. Yes. Why would? What do you mean by better? Is it a better strategy? I'm out there obviously better but would rather save five rounds of your draft and just go late rounds at this point or do you really have conviction about one of those guys higby Henry or Ingram and say, okay, look I can wait and I could take a flyer on a couple of guys but I'd rather just spend a sixth or seventh round pick on this particular player because I really like him. I would rather way past the six of the seven I'd rather have the later option because sixth seventh is still were the wide receivers were strong for me in the eighth grooming the eighth that's where it changes a little bit. And Henry Slash Ingram available the eighth quite regularly I think the thing that makes it really hard for me. I don't have and we talked about it with the ADP I don't have a good grip on. Within a draft where Hayden hearst. Going to go. Yeah. If you told me, they're going to go two rounds at this group that I'd much rather just wait two rounds but I don't like there are times where I might go before Hunter Henry over. Revenue Ingraham and. So in that case, then if one of those is policy, they feel pretty good about it and actually have NFC ADP right now and hearst his four picks behind Ingram and ahead of Henry and hippies ahead of all of them, but they're all within sixteen pixels four. So hers in some places isn't that tear? He said. The next group after Henry. Higby and Ingram is Jared Cook Rob Gronkowski. Rub Rob Gronkowski. Let's talk about he spikes the ball really hard. He likes the party us. Once the greatest tight end of all time. He's also been injured lot anybody else got anything else covered. Oh, he likes to number sixty nine a lot. I think Rob Gronkowski. Came back because he just he he loves football. He was talking about it during the Super Bowl. He refused to say that he was retired I think he likes money to, and that could be another reason why he's decided to come back like he tried doing a WWe Stan and a cannabis company stint just are working in media and I. Think he just he's he's a football player and I think that adding him to this offense is GonNa put him in a spot that he hasn't been a long time where, wow he's not the number one target and team can't tee off on them all the time double teaming him and and and ruining his physical. Health, I think he can be I think he could be a big time touchdown score provided that he stays healthy and that's obviously a bugaboo here. You don't know how long you're going to have them for. You can be heard after week too. But as long as he's on the field, I think he's going to put defenses in a major bind. I don't think the yardage is going to be there for form I think the touchdowns well, and that's why if he plays twelve games thirteen games, I think he can score seven or eight times and by Adam as tight end math that gives them a really good shot to be a top twelve night on. "The fast APP and you can also get a bonus there as well. So this'll be our sponsored segment Chris where we will dive into your three you love three hates probably a strong word. I've my. Grandma. Like you don't hate us you strongly rights. So, it's interesting. All three of the guys you liked I felt. About I, actually, the first one is the ONTA- Johnson I call it a game of his two years ago when Toledo played Nevada and I watched him the week before on tape against Miami he lit up a very good Miami secondary like lit those guys up the rare Mac player that actually leave school early this some good things last year. Yeah one, hundred percent. There's nobody I listed him I on that list because there's nobody when I went through the process of I watched basically you know something of everybody and then a lot of players I watch a lot of especially the guys who were just finishing their rookie years. There's nobody who's rank I improved hire more elevated more than the. Andre. Johnson. By the time I was done with the process it must have been thirty spots. I, don't WanNa go crazy I. Still Have Juju Smith Schuster significantly higher but I don't have Juju in my top fifteen wide receivers and maybe that's partly because he's an impending free agent and there's a question about how committed to him they are and maybe WanNa make the. Go in a bunch of other different directions but also partly because I think the Johnson is going to be a really good pro. Maybe doing a decent a poor man's Antonio Brown impersonation. He has that kind of long speed he. There's no doubting the long speed on film. It's funny James Washington that team has the reputation of being the sprinter. Right? He's. He's the one who's real fast and yet, and he made some plays Downfield James Washington had a nice bounce back second year but it seemed like every play I saw James. Washington. Down the field was fifty fifty ball and he's strong and he just kind of thought for the ball wasn't really opening it really run by anybody. I don't think it's play speed is that fast whereas Dante, Johnson I mean come on it's obvious. All you have to watch dealer film he starts a burner belongs to that conversation of like why can't he eventually be Tyler Lockett? Why.

"He. was pretty good when he was playing Davante Adams. Julio. Jones Hopkins Ataman Michael Thomas Aj Green again, only counting the games that he played in feeling Robert Woods and Mike Evans. This is a list of superstar fantasy options and then it's Tyler Lockett he has one of the highest rates of wide receiver to plus Games one of the lowest rates of busting he has the best quarterback or one. Of the best quarterbacks in the League, he's done it for two years in a row and people don't want him I. Don't I. Don't get it I would love for him to be my wide receiver to that I can get after after having three running backs on my roster. So I get the ceiling fatigue s yes. A ceiling fatigue it's it's he can't be a top five wide receiver said. He just if you line the players up, if he stands behind decay metcalf you literally you can't see. No. Then he just disappeared stands maclaurin have you heard or Julio? He's I mean Tyler Lockett is not he's not a big boy but he if the targets came, let's just say this the the low passing volume, the low passing volume he's been a top fifteen wide receiver two years in A. Row No reason to think he won't be a top fifteen wide receiver this year but let's just say that the plastic volume does open up p Carroll says, all right Russ you've been begging for Mita. Let you really office we're going to change and I don't think that that's a zero chance I I think that they could let Russell greater than two percents. Yes I do percents but here's my point. Mac benefit more from that as well. I mean every receiver would benefit if they let them throw the ball more, but the lock is not viewed as superstar talent the way that other wide receivers are and he is. The last one, hundred and eighty targets for tyler. Lockett he has ended with one hundred, thirty, nine receptions, two, thousand, twenty, two yards and eighteen touchdowns. If you compare that with the with the last one hundred and eighty targets of Michael Thomas and Julio Jones, it's Michael Thomas would have one hundred and forty niners, epsteins seventeen hundred yards, nine touchdowns, Julio One hundred eighteen receptions, sixteen hundred yards, and nine touchdowns. So on a per target pace Tyler Lockett is incredible. He reminds me a lot of T. Y. Hilton. The perception of t y Hilton as well. You know a player that's probably underestimated from pure talent perspective in part because he's not prototypical and size in part because you know you know Hilton's a smaller guy he's probably the exact same size lock it, and both of those players don't fit the Dez Bryant or Julio Jones and I'm not Kennedy Eric Lauren. Who 7-foot-4 but you know those those stats to me just show he is a he is a star talent. If they open up, he does have upside that I don't think we realize and chat out to Jacob Brick road on the one hundred eighty target t y five, ten, one, eighty, three, Tyler Lockett Five, ten, one, eighty, two. So I think I always. Kind of spot on there I mean if you were playing. The game at the fair yes. You you would have won if they put on each other's uniforms, swap teams they no one would notice. That's right now And and and it's a good point I think where he's going. You. May See this every year. Because he came back after a lot of attention. And the ceiling fatigue isn't there with Decay Mecca. The ceiling is unknown with Economic Mecca. Ironically, that is the player who I thought when you were giving Julio's ring a year where what was who is rookie? Oregon nine hundred, fifty something yards yeah. 'CAUSE 'cause decay metcalf was nine, hundred and seven and we'll begin metcalf was nine hundred Julio was nine, fifty, nine well, it's interesting because the. You know we talked on yesterday's episode about Confidence Associated Quarterback, and that's where metcalf stands out compared to a maclaurin. Is You arguably the best quarterback in if it's two three, four percent if you get unlimited Russell Wilson. Came Metcalf is going to do some damage and he's going to do it in the end zone. That's the. Thing. It's like Russ has shown that he can. Throw more touchdowns than everybody else on fewer passes it is just In his DNA to do it. Sometimes at a very low probability has announced by Mike Right. Yes. Yes. So I'M GONNA throw Ronald Jones out there It's been a long road. For Ronald Jones and I when he came into the NFL he decided to make. Take rookie season off. Right now he's going in the eighth round that's a ludicrous point for him to be going. If if things stand as they are right now going into draft, he's not going to be an eighth round draft pick no, he's he's heating up he's heating up areas came out and talked about the fact that this was yesterday this was full on. Hype train material be careful with the news yeah. No question but area instead lookie Ronald Jones is going to be the guy all the anecdotal evidence of his offseason in the time he spent the efficiency that he showed in the offense last year the comical part about Ronald Jones and where he's going and drafts right now is the fact that he was literally. What he finished as the running back twenty six last year. Is That I. Don't have that in front of me I. Think he finished right around that twenty six range. And he's being drafted lasts about where we have him. I think that you have a situation with Ronald Jones where he's guaranteed lock as a mid round value because you don't get running back running back twenty, six, twenty, six. Yeah you don't need being drafted at thirty six according to ADP data we have today which I think is kind of probably not going to come to fruition but I brought it up earlier for the fourth round running backs last year. They were Marlin, MAC, and Derrick Henry and fantasy drafts the fifth round running back for Miles Sanders in Austin. Last year that range of draft picks is a great place to find value at the running back position regardless of whether you invested heavily or lightly on running back to start the draft. The hardest position to come by and you know people want to project through two different lenses for Tampa Bay. And I think both of them could cause you some issues. One is the Bruce Arians Lens on what he does with. The running back position. Do we trust that or do we trust kind of maybe more the Belichick maybe you give credit to Belichick or maybe it's Brady that likes to have this mix of players when he was in new. England. The only thing you saw in the backfield for Brady's running backs was big boy been Jarvis Green. Ellis. Right Jonas Gray gehrig blunt Luxair Blunt Steven Ridley and then now was always combined with..

"Like he could be a seventy five for thousand and five guy next year. He would be somebody that I think you could hotly debate Tyler Lockett or Calvin Ridley which would surprise people. But really has a ton of talent. I mean, this was kind of the unanimous number one guy coming out of college last year before the combine he was. Yeah. Before the combine, but he still. He's he's completely sound. He finds a way to get open. He earned the trust over the better part of the year of Matt Ryan, I just think he's a very interesting name now when he played a tough defense. He got destroyed that comes with maturity to top sixteen defense is he was minus eleven points per game. So yeah, he busted like crazy. Like Jason said, he was a boom bust guy. I just think I if you're gonna give me a boom bust guy. Give me one that's in his early twenties going into his second season that made monster plays. They had the capability of a seven for one forty six and three game. Not everybody can do that. Yeah. Not do it lock. It never even at a two touchdown game. Right. I think Matt Ryan the falcons they're good offense to have pieces of but Calvin Ridley will be difficult to it's going to be hard for him to be consistent as that number two with SU there. It's not like you said, Mike, the contract scrape Zanu more of it because we're obviously we've talked about a lot of guys like I mean Tyler boys, not lock it's in your case. And not the one Tyler Boyd and Cal on are the two names that I was thinking of like, okay, you want to discuss these guys they're both the number two. They both actually could get volume. They're both in decent offenses Calvin Ridley has the higher draft pedigree hide the better quarterback. But I still think I leaned towards Tyler Boyd out of those two guys. I think I want to just give you guys kind of a lay of the land the foot clan out there of some more names and just kind of where they finished on the season. And then where their consistency ranking was still. That way. I I think it'd be better than breaking down anymore beyond twenty kindergarten date was twenty one. His consistency. Ranking was twenty six ninth most air yards in the leak Julian element who by the way against the chargers. Just eviscerated them. What a performance twenty-second on the year despite the suspension, right? Consistency rang. Listen to this tied for fourth year. He was he was amazing just solid every glass zero great games by the definition. We gave earlier eighty three percent of his games were good. You want fifteen points in half point p p r you pick doing eight Drouin dream wide receiver to if I could have tyreek hill and Julian element. Yeah. Yeah. In the moving into next year, assuming that the plant man, Tom Brady is back element is going to be nice and grind Clark faced further out. Even if he is that's what I mean. Or he's gone ninety nine. Here's a sixteen game pays ninety nine catches.

"Let's sure you can have a perfect passer rating because you get a couple touchdowns and whatever seventy-one targets to Tyler Lockett and Russell Wilson had a perfect pass rate. Now, please remember when we talk about Tyler Lockett in this context, we're talking about fantasy football Tyler Lockett the player as evidenced by that passer rating. Has been everything and more that Seattle could have hoped for when they locked him up on the extension, but fifty seven receptions, I just don't know if the what that says under thousand yards fifty seven receptions, if he doesn't score you're in trouble. That's all that is. Yeah. And they don't wear the ball enough. He scored ten touchdowns this season on only fifty seven receptions. That's anomalous. That's not something. That's usually going to repeat five eleven one. Seventy you had Doug Baldwin miss a ton of the year. And when he was out there was not really himself for a lot of the year. And like you just mentioned Andy this team clearly went completely one eighty. They went away from Russell Wilson the passer. They ran the ball. They got back to the good old nineteen seventies and says Schottenheimer. Yeah, we're going to run the ball smash mouth. And there's. Not enough volume to trust here. And I'm not trusting the touchdowns because look every player we've talked about everyone receiver on last sudden this episode you want to know what they could do for you. They could be a dominant one to go out there and win your week. They can go out there and have a monster game. Tyler Lockett, never did. He literally did not have one game over twenty two points. I mean, his his seventeen point nine nine thousand nine he had a nineteen week. Yeah. It was nineteen most of the time. What would happen is he go out have a mediocre game? Catch one touchdown. So he's fine. Yeah. But around when you're talking about top fifteen wide receiver finishing ahead of other players who could go out there and dominate some games. Aide in hindsight Tyler Lockett was good player year. But you just can't trust that you can't project that Tyler Lockets, darling. Because of where you drafted him, and what he performed, you know, based on that drafting so for me, his consistency ranking was twenty one he finished his fifteen. I'd put him right around twenty one twenty one twenty two uncomfortable there whereas Baldwin Baldwin is behind him. No new. Oh, real. Yeah..

"So those are things to keep in mind about Tyler Lockett. He is an intriguing play when you play the Seahawks defense because if you play Tyler Lockett in the Seahawks defense in the same DFS lineup and then Tyler Lockett runs back a punt return or a kick return. You are going to get six points for that for Tyler Lockett in you get six points for the for the Seahawks defense. Now, the probability of that happening is extremely low a main. Let's you know, let's be real. But it's also the probability of you winning a big daily fantasy. Tournament is always it also extremely low. So, but you know, that's a way to be a little bit different. And it's also a way to maybe capital out. You know, you essentially double up on your points in a guy who also fits in with that correlation would be Chris Carson because look if the Seahawks get ahead of the Cowboys. They are going to be in more of those pass rich situations maybe rack up five or six sacks on Dak and they will be run run friendlier situations and the Cowboys showed some run defense cracks late in the years. It was kind of weird. I mean, they were consistently dominant against the run all year. And then all of a sudden week fifteen Marlin MAC runs all over them week seventeen saquon Barkley runs all over. Now. Those were both games those were both away games. And the Cowboys were great at home this year. So, you know, keep that in mind. I it's it's not necessary. -sarily a good forecast. Predictor of what is going to happen in this wild card round. But it does suggest that they're not as impenetrable in run defense as they were all season. And we know about Chris Carson Seahawks. Love to feed him the rock. He comes in with twenty plus touches in four straight games. He's playing at a really high level. He's mixed in some big catch games as well. Cowboys give up a lot of catches and receiving yards. Two opposing our bees. Reshad penny came back last week only played four snaps four touches enforce naps. And I think that he's probably just going to focus on kickoff. Returns lining up back there with Tyler Lockett in in the wildcard round, the number two back. Mike Davis is a little bit of a sleeper. He had a lot of passing game usage this season. And as I mentioned the Cowboys gave up a lot of catches two running backs as well if the Cowboys take. The lead in to me. This is the hardest game to predict on the entire loud card slate. It's it's like a one or two points spread. It's been kind of moving back and forth all week. And I just I don't know. I just don't know in my in my final column, I headed his twenty four twenty three game in favor of Dallas. But I I have no confidence in that whatsoever. I think with Chris Carson though, you can count on the volume it's not gonna be there as reliably with Mike Davis. But you know, that he's going to get some usage to project him at like seven to eleven touches in this game. And he's gonna play majority in the passing game. Russell Wilson is you know, maybe the most dangerous quarterback on the slate. Just in terms of you know, we know that he can be a difference maker. And if he falls behind like he can put a team on his back, and you know, wind up out scoring every quarterback on the entire slate. And I think it is ownership is going to be low. I think that a lot of people are going to go to Watson and luck. I think some people are going to go to Trubisky which will make sense, and we'll talk about in a little bit. I think some people will will look back, and I think it Russell Wilson will be very very reasonable in terms of his ownership percentage. I think you play him with Doug Baldwin out. Talk about David Moore cer- David Moore had an awesome game in the Seahawks week twelve upset of the Panthers. Was like a hero in that game. And he was actually a second his second straight one hundred yard game. And then I don't know what happened, but the bottom just fell out on David Moore I made from weeks thirteen through seventeen David Moore had thirty two yards on sixteen targets..

"Passer rating when targeting Tyler Lockett, that's remarkable one fifty eight point three lots of success between those who this season trying to figure out you know, will they stick with Carson or does Rashad penny. Come on is it more of a running back by committee will be interesting because penny did come on. But Carson keeps getting the job job done. And certainly given the success that Seattle's had this year and the success. I think they will have in the postseason. I believe they beat Dallas this weekend that this run heavy approach of Brian Schottenheimer has certainly worked out. Well, obviously, Pete Carroll signing an extension. So the expansion expectation I think would be is that more of the same for Seattle next year. Couple of games here to get through to finish it up. The eagles win twenty four to nothing over the Redskins. The big news though was Nick foles leaving the game. What they chest issues to find you. Right. And we saw him get an take a big hit last week ends up that he had the wind knocked Ivan comes back to finish this time bruised ribs. Good news is that no fractures revealed so far. So the expectation is that Nick foles. Will continue. I in the platform. It is going to be a little bit sore doing it. It'll be him backed up by Nate Saad field as of right now. According to Doug Peterson just moments ago. I I was just going to say, yeah. Yeah. So the Schefter tweet. Yep. For the Redskins say not trying to be funny or a slight at Matthew. Like this offense was broken. Jess Johnson was overmatched with ninety one passing yards yesterday. I mean literally their leading receiver yesterday was Josh with thirty three yards terrible. So many they went through four quarterbacks that get straight year. They had the most players on IRA and this season. So it's it's a it's a it's a it's a it's a franchise. That's in true freefall. The I follow a lot of Redskins Twitter, obviously and the images from the stadium with filled with eagles fans chanting try to you know, like a near empty stadium getting embarrassed at home and define you. I don't know who the starting quarterback for the Redskins is next year because there's been complications with Alex Smith recovery. Yeah. I don't I don't think they know it all either. I mean, you lose one. You're you lose your star that you brought in Alex Smith to significant injury. And. You lose Colt McCoy to essentially a broken leg late in the season. And then I'm the Mark Sanchez thing didn't work out. So I I don't think you're going to know an answer to your question until much later. I think they're I mean, I think there's a there is a decent chance that the Redskins are one of the worst teams in the NFL next year. Interesting take over yet to our final game to recap here. "Tyler Lockett runs in the course of a game. They run on the deep routes, but every play he's faking jet sweep there. He ran all the way from the left side to the right side. And then back to the left vacant jet. Sweep. From the Forty-five Minnesota. It's second down in six from the gun dropping back in pressured in a dump off a short mass goes to the wide receiver Doron Brown of Seattle. He caught it on the numbers. And it was well covered down. He goes at the Forty-six and basically loses about a half yard on the play. So the clock at three and a half ticking here in the second. It's three nothing Seattle. And they've got a third down curtain six coming up from the Viking Forty-six. Speaking of Tyler Lockett little play fake there. He faked the block, and then he was over the middle of the ball about twenty five yards down the field wide open. Russell Wilson just wasn't able to find him Ralston in the gone looks at five in the secondary for the Vikings. He's got Mike Davis office right hip, his arms extended the shotgun. Snap. He has to move out of harm's way. Running around in the pocket. He's cutting from hash. Mark the hash Mark. The dumps it off in the backfield. It's caught by Davis who runs on the five to the chest. High catch down to the forty one in Minnesota. He's a yard shy. He was tackled by Anthony Harris. Akina five on third and six six fourth and one. What do you think the Seahawks are gonna do? I think you go forward here. Right. You're you're a little too far for field goal range. Now, you could punit your defense is playing great. But fourth in short with the run game that you have with the fans behind you. I think you gotta go for this. Seattle breaks huddle. They're moving from our left to our right. Davis remains in the backfield in the gun is the quarterback Wilson five on the front. There's the shotgun. Snap and a timeout. Taken by Seattle at two twenty five to play in the second quarter.

"Last drive to hit Tyler Lockett wide open on a coverage bust in the red zone and set up the game winner, but the Seahawks made the plays with the game on the line. Give him credit. That was lock it in really free styling seen something when the play breaks down and Russell Wilson gave Lockett credit, and there there are among the best in the league right now at doing that Russell Wilson is certainly at quarterback. And this is the second straight week where you start out run run. And Chris Carson they're running back said after the game like they were calling out some of our plays in the first half thinking they were a little too predictable. And then you're county on your quarterback to kind of save you and make plays on his own. But they have one of the only guys. Who can actually make that game plan work beyond today's game. Now. That's a tough loss. Video zoo, sir in the old lockup challenge. I thought they were gonna come through on this. Go ahead, Mark. Well, no. But I think you believed in the Panthers. What's weird? And now it's sounding like a broken record. I still do. I think they win this game. Eight eight out of ten and I think they've hit a really alone there season. Once you get to three games you start to mess with screwing up your whole season. But yeah, I still think there's a team that could be around and make noise in January. But this is this is an ugly loss in the last three weeks have been pretty bad can be around because they allow enough teams into the playoffs to you know, some of them are not the equal of others. But I if you wanna believe in being. In backing in the playoffs. I mean, they are backing right now I'm saying now back you can get out of this slump. They're to me, they're the opposite of Seattle. You get you respond to get nipped by the Rams by five points by beating the Packers the much ballyhooed Packers knocking off the much ballyhooed Panthers. And now you have four home games and you remaining five you play the Niners twice you play the cardinals to close the season. And you've got a tough one against the chiefs. But they play the Vikings to a team that can beat compare that to the Panthers who finished with two out of three against the powerhouse saints. And they they've just they have some oh, Joe whether that can be quantified or not they've they've become that team that you can't figure out how they won the game. At the end of the at the end of the how did we lose that game to Seattle? But after a while that's almost becoming a repeatable skill for them. And it strange that. I don't think that's repeatable. I think it's completely random I think it's random. But I think I'm gonna miss the kick. I if that's what happened, sir. But they then they went and took advantage of it. They also had that touchdown from David Moore. Who is like when they fell down in this game. They came back. They've they've found a way to stick in games that they really had no business winning two. More Panthers voice, the Graham Gano who's been a really great kicker that was a fifty two yarder. So it's not like he shanked like a thirty six yard or it was a long kick. But that's a guy that you you come to depend on. And you knew they were in deep trouble soon as miss it. And they were and we cannot forget Christian McCaffrey in this game. It's getting lost, obviously. Because Seattle pulled it out but franchise record two hundred and thirty nine yards from scrimmage. He went for one twenty five and a touchdown on the ground and eleven catches for one fourteen in the air with another touchdown that you won't get much more productive days in the league than that one thing about your lines. Infants Carolina's defense needs to operate more soundly if they want any chance of doing anything Seattle scores on its final five drives with no drive less than seven plays one of them fourteen. I mean, that's. That's not by chance. That's not just magic happening. We've cited their front seven getting older. But it's also Eric Washington in his first year as defensive coordinator. This is not a good first year for him. It's not a good debut..

"But. I don't disagree. The I ranked him thirty one and my rankings reflect the state of Doug Baldwin as he has been. But I'm the one who's always going to be a week late on on on a player. So it's kind of like Chris Carson are ranked in there because I don't really buy it that is hundred percent healthy Doug Baldwin. I'm not sure I buy until I see that he's consistent, but I will say this. He had four receptions and week nine last week five. So a little more targets going his way the last couple of weeks if he can get it into the end zone. All of a sudden we're talking about a different receivers. It feels likes to find you has trust issues. I think that's what we just learned. There could be trusted. By the way is Thursday night games. Right. Because it's the beginning of the week and people still have hoping their matchup like if you call something for Monday night football. First of all, you're usually making your call on Friday sherve you Sunday morning during fantasy football now. But also people are like, yeah. I know you said you expect it Odal sketched to catch three touchdowns. He only caught two. But whatever I still won my matchup for Thursday night, though. People get sour gr-. They. Call. There's there's nothing worse than when I put a Thursday night player. Either in the lover com comes out of Thursday. And then of course, it just doesn't go that way. And so then people. Being like, oh, you're already wrong. So when Doug Baldwin scores two touchdowns tonight. We can all sit pretty knowing that we mentioned that possibility and the possibility that he does not actually reach his season averages Tyler Lockett as been more explosive Seahawks wide receiver like a lot of the metrics target share and things of that nature like overall catches like or at least target chair probably suggests that Doug instead of your play. But lock it's just been better. He's been more productive has been. I mean, he's been very touched on dependent then but he's been bothering independent then not touchdown. What he's doing? I mean, he's scored one in seven of nine games this season. Right. Lock it has. And then you think about you know, they like to take some deep shots. They'll set up play action. They like to take some deep shots to Tyler Lockett Packers along the ninth highest deep completion percentage. So far this year. They're allowing a league high thirty two point four yards per deep completion this season. So when you connect against the Packers it goes a long long way. And so obviously Tyler Lockett who has lived off the deep ball so far this year comes kind of an interesting thing a little bit more of a boom bust wide receiver three I'm a twenty-seven interest. Like, so I've locked at twenty twenty-seven I have Baldwin at twenty nine, and I believe I avow scant Ling at twenty eight years valid scaling at twenty eight. I mean, they're all sort of right there. They're all sort of low in wide receiver threes. And so again, like you're asking me lock it versus Baldwin. It's close, but I have locked at one spot higher..

"True. You'll Riddick legare blunt as rave not been pro lift pass, rush, rushing off as the resident carry on truth er who believes the breakout is upon us, and we are here. I would still rather have David Johnson. I don't think he's going to break out to be a top five type of running back because of what Andy said. He's still going to split time rest of season. He might not be the goal line back, I think carry on Johnson could outscore David Johnson the rest of the way, but I would I would put the odds in the favor of David Johnson. He's still the bell cow workhorse and he's hyper. David Johnson is more talented than kerryon Johnson here is a great one from Twitter, Tyler on Twitter says, are you selling high on Odell Beckham, junior after the big week, I got a trade off her for him yesterday Emmanuel. Sanders in Tyler Lockett for Odell Beckham junior high. What do you think? No, no, no, no, no, no. That's not selling high. If you sell it on on selling high on auto. Beckham means trading them to a giants fan who's like, I knew it was the best one for the league and you go and you get Antonio Brown or something, you know, you know, I, yeah, I have some some thoughts here. I think we should discuss them together because Odell Beckham junior, like let me lay this out. Jason is the owner of Antonio Brown in our league of record? Yes. And I am though to about junior owner. The is also true and I also am the saquon Barkley owner. And so I have an interest to swap one of my giants out. You don't want all in on the giants often. I'm not as interested in being all in on giant. Now, what I do like about, I will say this for those of you that have that stack, which a lot of you do. I'm there's an advantage to being on a team that is going to be playing through to the end of the season. Like I look at that say they're playing through week seventeen. They're not changing the quarterback out. They've already come out and said that this Manning's team because they're playing for the number one, pick sure whatever. The thing is, and I told Jason this because he was concerned about the fact that look Odell is gonna have in dynasty league a new quarterback next year Odell Beckham junior was just paid a thousand truckloads of money. He is also the whiteness player in the NFL. He also has a coach that is sitting there, consoling him after every play and saying, it's going to be okay, Odell. He gets his no matter what that is. My true belief about junior and the stats Baird out. He's the fourth or third or fourth highest touches per game in the entire NFL. This past week, he had a very big game and the targets and the receptions, and those things are there. So to me, I don't think there's a lot of risk with a player like that. That is. So he's so he's paid so much. He demands so much. What do you guys think about that? And we're talking long term or just the Sawyer? I'm talking about both. I think he's great this. This is closer to what I expect from Oto Beckham move forward..

"Good luck. They healthy. Appreciate it. Well, that was awesome talking to our good friend and Tomahawk listener Tyler Lockett. What do we have up next? Go Tomahawk matchups of the week, Joey guy. Actually, it's a good week football, there's there are weeks and we're like, man, I don't wanna see any of these games. This is not one of those weeks. Joe, who's your who's your match? For the week? My matchup with the week is actually Tom Brady the bears defense. The bears defense was looking like the class of the NFL just about the whole season. And then all of a sudden last week they had a little bit of a slip up and they turned Brock Osweiler into Tom Brady, which was pretty interesting because we all know the history of Brock osweiler's career, and we saw him in Cleveland I end. So I'm not going to say he's the next time Brady, but the bears have a chance at redemption. They got an opportunity to prove that they're still one of the best defense in the league. If they can shut down a red hot, Tom Brady, and the New England defense, they may have to do it with a little bit of hobbled Khalil Mack, he's got an injury, but if he's able to get on there. On the field. He's able to go against a week, right? Tackle group that the patriots have. And even though Tom Brady always makes his offense in line look, really good Khalil. Mack has a chance to really cement his legacy. This season maybe become the defensive player of the year if he's able to harass and beat up and sack, Tom Brady a ton of times this week which if he plays, he will do, Tom Brady is gonna dice the Chicago defense like a Brazilian hibachi restaurant while Brazilian of resilient, zillion steakhouses where it's unlimited meets. Yeah. So we're gonna mix them autograph resilient, her body rachi. That's how much it's going to dice him up. It's not even gonna also if you could make Brock Osweiler look like a pro bowler Lynn adult. I don't wanna hear anything about your opportunities. You're going to have what Tom Brady he's going to baptize their souls on national television. All right. Well, who's your match up of the magic of the week? Said's versa ravens. We had Luke mccown on last week talking about the greatness that is drew Brees. You just broke the all time passing yards record. I think he's close to the t. record to I don't know how far away he is if he hasn't already gotten net, but he's facing the ravens defense. It was number one in the league and they are looking like the ravens defensive old. They'd had their lapses throughout season. But overall they've been really consistent. They sack mariota eleven times last week in the only way to get drew. Brees uncomfortable is putting pressure on the Browns did earlier this year. I think the ravens are going to do that too. That's my match up. I wanna see what breeze does against ravens defense. If you can kind of keep this hot streak going, which I was gonna pick one right now. I'd say the ravens wanna give him held this week, aren't hawk, what game are you looking forward to watching this weekend? And I'm gonna tell you what the game that I'm really looking forward to watching is Cowboys. Redskins NFC east old school match of Cowboys. All of a sudden came back from the dead. They gave their best Lazarus impression trying to save Jason GARRETT'S job, and they put forty on the board last week. They're going against the Redskins team who's hot also just whipped up on the Panthers who I've always been kind of a Panthers fan. I think they're one of the maybe overlooked teams in the NFL right now. So you got to teams that are playing really good. All of a sudden they're kind of surging in the NFC east and it'd be really fun to watch and see what happens. I think they're very balanced team. It could be a close when that comes on the wire. I like that matchup we talked about the Redskins last week, have an answer back. They got lack by the saints and Josh Norman actually play with the well..

"The Seahawks have signed Tyler Lockett, two, eight, three year contract extension, and you feel about that. I feel not nearly as good as if it had been. They've extended Earl, Thomas. Sure. Tyler Lockett is good. He had he had an off year last year largely because he was still recovering from the broken leg. That ended his twenty sixteen season. So I'm hopeful that you know he's going to return to full speed and be a useful contributor to them. He's a very good receiver. I think he's underrated since since that injury, you know, kind of like derailed his his progression, but you know, all pro kick returner rookie year. I'm I'm, I'm into it. And I haven't seen the numbers, but like three more years of Tyler Lockett. Sounds good to me. Sure. Certainly, they could use another receiver next and I've forgotten your history with Tyler Lockett. You didn't like the draft capital that they gave up for him? Well, given how good the Seahawks drafted over the years they didn't need the extra picks, obviously actually feel. I think that they are. They're just horrible in the first round and a half, and like they're actually pretty good in the third round and beyond. And so I think that there's just like, hey, we're awesome at drafting. Fifth rounders, seventh rounders though we gotta get rid of these first round pick so we can get more late round picks because that's where the good players are. But you remember they traded with third or fourth, fifth and sixth round pick and then Tyler Lockett, jury. So yeah, and they got him in the fourth round, right? Fifth, third around their third round pick though to be fair Washington US. Those picks on Matt Jones. Ari Quanzhou Damian swan and. To show injure k. y. s. h. e. n. it's another theme I haven't set out that before. So. The four guys who did not make much of an impact in Washington metro was pretty bad, so I don't think they must have much there. Yeah, no. And again, with with late round picks the Seahawks are always acquiring more of those from letting talented free agents walk and trading back out of the first round. So energy. But what the Seahawks are good at it. They trail the first round makes sense. It was awesome. And I mean, like I would rather have them trade back out of the first round, then trade a first rounder for who they believed to be the next superstar because that has gone considerably worse. Actually, I, it's hard to say considerably worse, like what's what was more damaging to the team like drafting or trading for Percy Harbin or trading back and eventually drafting Alamo legally, they're damaging in different ways. Loopy tolerance did not cost like they did not give him an enormous extension on the process as well. Yes, yes, that's true. And they also in draft in in trading back before drafting Malinche McDowell, they also acquired four more picks one of whom is they're starting running back entering the season. So. Anyway, this is this is life as the Seahawks fan. It's like I'm looking for silver linings left and right, very energetic time to be as the hawks fan. Let's finish up with this one through one trade in there and the guy who came out. Very surprising. Andrew luck. Andrew luck was traded, which I guess is not your radically out on the question but would seem exceedingly difficult to pull off, but maybe the colts like Jacoby percent. Andrew luck. Suddenly size doesn't want to be in Indianapolis and take quite Leonard situation. Perhaps Andrew luck was treated at the week, six deadline to and for what. I, I mean, like the this is just wishful film into this point. But like what I've wanted for years now is like trading him to the Jaguars like the way the colts organization is like that team deserves Blake Bortles, whereas a life the way that like I would like to see Andrew luck with an actual team around him, but it just seems highly unlikely that he would go to a division rival that they could like be torched by Jalen Ramsey and Andrew luck on both sides of the ball twice. Even though I like that fit very much. So where whose quarterback needy bike could the could the giants deal for Andrew luck after Eli manning suffers? He wouldn't. He'll he'll never get injured. Of course, he li- manning all-time great, never gets injured..

Seattle Seahawks sign WR Brandon Marshall to 1-year deal
"It's an excellent question i have no closer to the answer the promise you that brandon marshall job oh yeah the thirty four year old wide receivers signing with the seattle seahawks tom pella cerro nfl network reported tuesday marshall broke the news on his instagram account posting a photo of himself skipping down the street in a seahawks shirt and this is going to be the thirteenth year for the wide receiver who really had a loss season in new york last year of season before that that was what the giants for for that with the jets was also a down year so wes seahawks need weapons brandon marshall in two thousand eighteen a weapon only theoretically nothing he's done on the football field the last two years suggest that he's going to be starting cal caliber wide receiver fact the giants went oh five with him in the lineup last year he averaged under nine yards per reception and took it took until the third week of the season before you had more more than receptions and i know he's being talked about as a red zone replacement for jimmy graham he's got three touchdowns on twenty red zone targets over the last two years jimmy graham has fifteen touchdowns on forty something targets it's an uphill battle to make the team i think i mean to make any team if he was looking for a team that he could wind up being started this is it they've tyler lockett doug baldwin and very little else amara darbeau i think they'd love to step up a third on pick from last year but not a lot of guys but just looking at the contract for instance it's two million dollars with incentives the minimum for a veteran of his age is about a million do the math he's basically getting about the minimum with no guarantees and he'll have to go make the team and just based on all the surgeries ad and how he looked last year i'm not so sure he will gets the cherry on top of one of the most suspect nfl offseasons league wide by the seahawks wow so you don't see this going anywhere i mean it didn't go anywhere last.

"The nfl on cbs speaking of excitement how about the excitement here three total poor to the first at in the first seven thirty nine ah here in the second half we've seen twenty four point scored a jacksonville as a seventeen to ten league a wondered if this is going to end up being one of those like 6'3 or nine six football games and boys that turned here early in the in the second half lam ready to kick it away tyler lockett weights in the end zone where both it's a crowd goal belva field fielded be bottle by one of the up batted in seattle dives on it at about the 25 your largely wanted to keep it away from tyler lockett and that growl ball was kicked before one of vietnam's fell on it at between five yard wanted that's were russell wilson and the seahawks will take gold well i don't blake mortals is sick and a lot of heap maybe has developed as quickly as many would have whitens we had a big gave last week i think he's played very very well here today right yeah he hasn't made the critical mistake fourteen out of twenty one this little over two hundred yards couple of touchdowns and no picks in that was kind of the knock on him as the hill throw that really bad interception at some point especially were jacksonville's try to get back in a game or they're holding on to a tie game was really gives the opponent momentum while the 25 northbound first out a tent wilson goes under center tatas roleses in for the first out of the ballgame wilson fake the heavy backed up throwing looks he fires be looked at his side by knock doubted cook wheats ata boyer got his hand out there snipe it down and brought a paul richardson excellent job white in the play by poor yeah there's a little bit of contact with his wife arm around the back side of richardson but i i agree with the nocall from the officials but it's the left hand coming right at the last second literally waits until the footballs they're just throws that left hand out on the football knocked down block akiba that right hand again really hard it he had his hand on his hip would never got that grabbed.
