"And when you can balance that out, you learn how to have fun. You learn how to compete and you learn how to be able to win, not only just in a victories, but you learn how to win even in a Los and stuff like that because you start learning how to be able to capitalize off of the mistakes that she made. You start learning how to be able to overcome things. And so, you know, people, a lot of people don't understand, you can win and still lose, you know? So, you know, we just try to look into everything in a depth way to where it helps us learn how to be better. But I imagine you also got to have your head on a swivel because the coach scooter could come around this corner at any time, right? Is he on that all the time? What do you mean? I'm a scooter all the time. Coach, because you got to zip around the corner at any moment in time. You got to have your head on this little walking around, I'd imagine. Oh, yeah. I mean, there's times where you got to keep your head on a swivel, but for the most part, like, you know, when you're on the scooter, you're kind of like going in hallways and stuff where most players are walking through. So it makes it easier. It just so happened, we probably didn't end or we all came out right where the score would come there. I want a video that is. I got tired of Lockett here on the rich eisen show. What about your role? This is, as I mentioned at the top of this conversation, postseason number 6 for you. Last time we spoke during the season, we established you're the OG there. At that facility. What are you going to counsel your teammates as you go, take on San Francisco for a third time. You're opening up the postseason for the entire league. Those two teams, this game, on Saturday, what's your counsel for the rest of your teammates? I mean, honestly, I don't really know. I haven't thought about it. You know, I think that, you know, I think everybody's ready, you know, we know that we're playing one of the best teams in the NFC. We played them twice and they beat us. I think auto motivation is there. We understand that they have a phenomenal defense. We understand the type of office that they do and how things have been clicking. I think they've won like 9 straight, and so I mean, we already know what we're up against. We know that this is a divisional opponent. I think, you know, right now it's just us being able to just calm the nerves down, just being able to play, understanding that, you know, we got another chance. But at the same time, I mean, nobody really expected us to be here outside of our building. We believe that we can get here within our building. And so I mean, you know, it's not like we have a lot of pressure on us or anything. So I mean, we just want to go out there and just play free and let the chips fall when the chips fall. And how proud are you a Geno? I know I'm answering asking a question that gives you the opportunity to gush. But you've been there. You've been around him, as he said, that don't call to come back. He's been there. He just had an opportunity finally. And he's going to be a playoff quarterback here for the Seattle Seahawks. So I'll give you the floor on Gino. I think Gino has played amazing. I think he's done so many amazing things. You guys have all seen him make tremendous throws, make plays with his legs. I think, you know, some of the biggest things that I could think of some of those big time moments for me was just the fact that if you've seen him throw interceptions, it was like, he never missed a beat. You know, he came back and he would lead us to a touchdown, or, you know, he would just do so many amazing things after that. And people don't understand that it's so hard to be able to make, you know, not so good of a play. And sometimes that's the stick with you the rest of the game or even a week. But it's like, you don't see him flinch. He just, he lets it go and he keeps on playing. He keeps throwing no matter what. And, you know, his games like this last game, we played versed around where you understand that, man, if this dude didn't go flinched and there's no need for any of us to flinch. And so, you know, he's a great leader. A great teammate and really happy just for him to be able to get his shot. He's ran with it. And I think he's like done a great job and being able to balance out the stuff that the media is there from the very beginning to the stuff of how all the tables turn now and he got a chance to become a pro bowler. Like, there's just so many amazing things that he's done, but I mean, he's prepared for his moment. Sam, what about you, Tyler, as we wrap this conversation up right here? You've been in the league since 2015. Here it is 2023. What's it going to you think going to be going through your mind? Anthem's plan. You're getting ready to go out there in a playoff game against the forty-niners whole country watching. What do you got for me on that one? For me, it's just, you know, do the best teammate that I could be. And you know, whatever it is and I got to do to be able to help my team that game. That's what I'm going to be willing to do. Sometimes you got to be able to sacrifice the individual stuff or the betterment of the team, but you know, at the same time, and it's like I said, we don't have anything to lose. And so, you know, for us, we're just going to go out there and have fun. We're going to enjoy it at the end of the day. It's just a football game. We understand it as the playoffs, but you can't make the playoffs bigger than what it is to where we start playing outside our normal framework. You got to be able to just go out there and just play. And you understand that no one's guaranteed another week to be able to play. You know, that's decided after the game. And so for us, we're just going to go play and like I said, we're just going to see what ends up happening. Tyler Lockett, you take care of yourself. Always appreciate the time in our conversations. I always enjoy it just like I did this one. Good luck to you on Saturday. Thank you, man. Happy new year. Right back at you right back at you. Tyler Lockett at TD locker 12 on Twitter

"It. Super wild card weekend starts tomorrow. Super wild card weekend. Has arrived and we're here live on the Roku channel to talk about it. It starts tomorrow and it's Monday night. And on Monday Night Football, Mike Evans. And the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to take on the Dallas Cowboys. Mike Evans scheduled to join us our number three of this program. And scheduled to join us on Monday. It's Micah Parsons. We're fair and balanced. We got football. One and done football. It starts in the soggy climbs of Santa Clara, California. Tyler Lockett and the Seattle Seahawks and all their house money are coming to the field of jeans. Trying to make it a nightmare. And one and done Brock purdy. Nice job, Brock. Take a seat. That's where the Seahawks want to do. Before that Tyler Lockett joins us 20 minutes on this program. We've also got Brian Cranston, making its way to the studio today. He'll be here on this program today. Because times with one of our favorite guests in one of the greatest human beings to grace a television screen. And a silver screen. Emmy Award winning Academy Award nominated Bryan Cranston here in studio. And Tommy Curran's gonna join us. Tommy Cohen's gonna join us because there was a press release that came out of New England. One patriot drive or whatever heck they call it right there. And I've never, I've never seen anything quite like it from New England, and we'll hit that with Tom Carr and his second as well. Good to see you over there, Christopher brockman how are you? Rich bob crafts hears me. I have been talking loud all year. Hold on a minute, hold on to that. Hold on to that thought, put a pin in it. You got it. I will give you the floor on that subject matter. Very soon. Thank you. DJ Mikey D is indeed nuts. Good to see you, sir. Good to see you. Second straight week of a full week of the rich eisen show second straight week wearing pants. Yes. Good to see you over there, Mike. Thank you. TJ Jefferson has the candle bin blitzer. Candle was lit. It's on fire. Friday. Let's do that. Fantastic. We're on the air. It's a great time. Okay, code 5. There's some interesting things happening afoot in the National Football League just in time for a super wild card weekend. Missives, one on Twitter, one straight out for press release, okay? Let's start with the tweet. Let's do it. We know exactly what ails Lamar Jackson right now. Because Lamar tweeted out himself. This one came out shortly after we went off the air yesterday. Lamar Jackson, letting us all know what's going on with his knee and it is no bueno. He tweets out, thank you everyone for your support and concerns regarding my injuries. I want to give you all an update as I'm in the recovery process. I've suffered a PCL grade two sprain on the borderline of a string three. There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee remains unstable. I'm in good spirits as I continue with treatments on the road to recovery. I wish I could be out there with my guys more than anything, but I can't give a 100% of myself to my guys and fans. I'm still hopeful, we still have a chance. And I'm imagining the chances to play in Sunday nights, super wild card weekend, triple header, copper. On NBC, we had Mike tirico on earlier this week to talk about it. Ravens at Bengals. And it sure looks like Tyler Huntley, and if he can't go 'cause he didn't go last week and I proffer to say he didn't go last week to make sure he was healthy. He was they sat him down. Fully aware that Lamar might not be back for Sunday Night football or at the time they knew for a trip to Cincinnati most likely. And this is not good news. I said it earlier this week and I know I'm not going on a very long, thin lem here, a totally the ravens need this guy. Maybe more than they've needed to ever needed them before because they're wide receiving corps is as Stewart Scott would call it spandex then. And Mark Andrews is absolutely the guy that the Bengals are circling in their defensive meetings this week. That's the one guy. Let's just cover him. Cover him and then make sure dobbins doesn't run all over us with Gus Edwards. We're good. Joe. Jamar. Tyler, tea. Joe. The other joke. Mix it. Hey, give us 21. 24. We'll get through it. Lamar shows up different story. Your head's on a swivel. You don't know who's got the football. That's when the ravens are at their best. Who's got it? Who's got it? Dobbins have it? Does Edwards have it? Does anybody else that's probably not on your fantasy team all year long have it? Who's got it? We don't know who has it. Oh, that guy's got it. He's wide open down the field. That's their offense. That's it. And then they play defense. And you let roquan Smith who is going to be playing his first playoff game. And by the way, his first game is a professional, his aide paid is how he shows up in his first playoff game. Boy do they need Lamar? And now that you hear this, you're like, man, this Raven season is in trouble, despite how good their coach is or despite how good some of their skilled players and defensive players are. Got to have Lamar. That's simple. End of story, and it looks like they're not going to get them. That's one way to look at this tweet. These two tweets, the other one is why are you letting us know about this? Every aspect of Lamar's season will inform what happens this off season. Again, I think he's going to get franchise tagged at the end of the day. And I say that is that's the way the ravens aren't going to let him walk. They don't want him to walk. I mean, they have configured their entire organization to revolve around number 8, offensively. Everything else. And everything else is also to make sure that nobody says a crossword or could even have it construed as a crossword about Lamar Jackson.

"He's got a 1058 yards. Sutton doesn't even have a thousand yards during that time. So for me, Judy is the guy you have to see these next three weeks. Can he develop and the thing I like about Jerry? And I've been more bullish on him than anyone. And at times I've been Gilligan on this island, because I've said that he's better in space in the NASA. He gets open, but he gets frustrated. He has issues with consistency because he gets frustrated when he's not being used in targeting. But when he had his explosion of his temper against the chiefs, it lets something in Judy. And he went overboard and I talked to him about it and he said, I can't direct my anger that way. You can't bump an official. Can't take your helmet off. You gotta find them $35,000 for that. But it showed, and he admitted to me. He's like, I played angry. He played with an edge. That's the Jerry Judy. We need to see, and he starting now. He's at his locker now. He's doing more interviews every week. He's starting to take on the persona of a number one receiver. When I was talking to me the other day about Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr chase, guys were in the SEC with him, and you can start seeing it clicking like, I need to be that kind of guy, and he may never, but that mentality that you're that kind of guy. So these next few games, he needs to be targeted 8 to ten times. I don't care who's guarding him. You've got to find out. Can Russ make him his number one? Can he make him his locket? Because that guy has been really missed by Russ this year. The Tyler Lockett type, that because DK Metcalf is good, lock it was his secret weapon. So if Judy can be that guy and again, Judy has been better than Sutton over these since Cleveland last year. And the other thing that's weird Chad, those two have never been productive when they're on the field together. It's a one or the other.

"It's watching the niners in the dolphins. I didn't realize that tyreek hill has 24 receiving touchdowns of at least 40 yards since he came into the league in 2016. That's nearly double anybody else over that spam. Tyler Lockett is next. He has 13, but the forty-niners have now held 5 consecutive opponents to 17 points or less. That's the longest streak the team has had since they did this back in 1996 and 1997. And Joey Bosa, you forget about him, and then you remember him quickly. You know, so Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, both great, but if you look at what they do, Joey Bosa now has a sack in 6 consecutive games. We have a football game. I don't know what the game is, but Paulie says, we have a football game. Dan, you mentioned that the forty-niners need a quarterback, right? It could be needed, and they can't really make moves at this point of the season. We're gonna play a little fill in the blank game. Well, NFL final blank. Blank are expected to release quarterback blank. He'll hit waivers when it's finalized later today. Blank are expected to release quarterback blank. He'll hit waivers later today. This should cause a bit of a ruckus with the 49er situation. Do your do not pick up this player. Would anyone like a guess or would you like a hint? Joe Flacco. I would say a bigger deal than that. Bigger deal. Maybe not necessarily a better quarterback, but a bigger deal. Jameis Winston. Oh. That's a fine guess. No. Marv, Sam darnold. No, but you're much closer. Baker Mayfield junior the third. The Panthers are expected to release Baker Mayfield later today.
Brady, Bucs beat Seahawks 21-16 in historic Germany game
"The Buccaneers are back at 500 after Tom Brady threw for two touchdowns in a 21 16 victory against the Seahawks in Munich Brady connected with Julio Jones and Chris Godwin for scores and was 22 of 29 for 258 yards He's four and zero and NFL regular season games played outside the U.S. I think the fan turnout was incredible It felt like a very electric from the time we took the field Gino Smith through touchdown passes to Tyler Lockett and marquise Goodwin to get the Seahawks within 21 16 with three 58 remaining I'm Dave ferry

"That was the conversation in the off season with Jalen hurts. Hertz has played well and the eagles look like if not the best team. The second best team in football. Yes, Seahawks wide receivers has a big drops yesterday too. The Tyler Lockett. I mean, that's a sure touchdown. I want to say there are a few others in the game too that you could tell Gino Smith was like, after Tyler Lockett, he had a couple of big errors, went over to him and was like comforting like, hey man, don't worry about a shake it off kind of thing. But DJ Metcalf had another drop in Gino didn't seem all that, pleased about that one. So you're kind of making this about Geno overcoming his wide receiver. His wide receivers. Yes, absolutely. Okay. The drop seas. Yes, Paul, mahomes, by the way, is on pace right now for 45 touchdowns and 11 picks. That's good. Yeah. That's good. But it's Josh Allen's award to lose. In the number of players who comment during the game on Josh Allen, who are watching the game, that's what's always interesting because players know players and when they're like, oh my God, this guy is this guy's the goat. And when they are willing to compliment somebody, who's not playing on their team, that usually stands out. That jumps out for me when I go, okay. Yeah, more. Do you have an MVP right now? I would say Josh Allen. But I would have no problem if somebody said Jalen hurts is the leading candidate for MVP. We got 8 more what have we got? At 8 games now. So we're almost halfway home. That's a lot. I mean, look at what's happened in 8 weeks. There's a lot that's happened. And then if somebody is going to turn around, figure it out, is there a team that's sort of lingering that's going to go, we can win this. Maybe it's the Vikings who look at the NFC. What happens to the rams? The rams, are they going to be formidable?

"And so that's the things that are helping us out because the more and more that we continue to be great in our role like, man, you're seeing tight ends having a chance to get the ball and make some plays. You're seeing people get put in different positions like our offensive is so cool because it's variety. And so it's just something that, you know, I think that we're learning and we're getting better at each and every week. And you know, regardless of when we play Detroit, even though we scored a lot of points, we're trying to figure out how can we get better. How can we be able to build? Like, it's not one of those amen got a great game. You know, it's like, okay, how can we be able to get better? I know we scored three points here and we'll take points, but now we lost this game versus saying, 'cause we took three points. How can we build and just turn that into a touchdown without trying to get greedy? You know, so it's the biggest thing that I keep going back to is just being able to lay that foundation and when you're able to do that, you're able to have a safe place to be able to have those conversations to talk and be able to get better. Well, before I let you go, Tyler Lockett, I know he's not your teammate anymore. But do you stay in touch with Russ at all? Tyler? Yeah, I talked to Russ here and there. 'cause he's definitely going through it right now. I mean, the criticism is very loud. And there's a lot of personal stuff that's getting thrown in the direction that he's not a genuine or his commercials, makes it seem like he's more focused on just winning. I'm wondering what you have to say about just the national conversation that's been around Russ, the last several weeks. Yeah, I mean, you know, I think a lot of people have said, you know, a lot of things and, you know, everybody has their own opinion and stuff like that, you know, for me, Russ is my brother. You know, he's been like one of my big brothers ever since I got here. I got the chance to be able to go to his wedding. You know, as a rookie and stuff. And so he's always been like a big brother to me. So, you know, me and him stay in contact. We stay in touch. We get to talk, you know, all that different type of stuff just because we're not on the same team doesn't mean that our relationship has to end. You know what I mean? Like, that's the biggest thing just with being in the league is you come and go. You never know how long your time is, but you know it's a friendships and the people if those relationships that last forever and last a lifetime. And so, you know, that's my brother. And so, you know, that's always going to be able to be my brother. So, you know, I wish nothing but the best for him and just, you know, for me, I keep talking to him and all that. Well, good luck against the Giants. It's always a pleasure having you on, Tyler. Just listening to you talk in your passion for the sport for your teammates for life. It really is always, I always hang up the phone saying, man, I need to talk more with him, and I always appreciate you calling the program. Tyler, thank you for calling. No problem. Thanks for having me. You got it. You know, I'm going to be calling your game in Germany on NFL network. Oh, yeah. We're going to, you know, I'll check you out. We're going to Germany together. It's going to be a heck of an experience that's going to be amazing. I look forward to that. Yeah. Now I'm looking forward to it too, man. Okay. Yeah, we'll share some pretzel bread at halftime. I know Pete might not appreciate that, but we'll do that. That's my way of handling halftime. But I look forward to it, Tyler. Good luck against the Giants, and I'll see a couple of weeks in Europe. All right, have a good one. You got it right back at you. That's Tyler Lockett of the NFC west leading Seahawks here on the rich Eisenhower. So a couple of things from Tyler Lockett. He says, it's such a good dude. You know, good dude. And he's the most tenured seahawk. How about that? He's now the OG either. Now that Bobby Wagner's here in Russell Wilson is at that harrow school and a limited basis practicing for the two and 5 Broncos. He's there, you're here. And how about this one to compete Carol coach? Or compete cow coach? Can beat Carol coach or can he coach the guy can coach, tell me about it? Come on, I see your reaction to it. You got to give it up. You have to give it up. I know there's still a marathon left. They've had some good drafts. I know. So John Snyder can pick. Yeah, John Schneider. People can coach. He's a really good ever. He is selling their buy in in the way, hold on a second. Let's talk it out real quick. In the same way, people believe whatever Russ is selling people are like, really, I need to buy that. Runner pass. I need to sit here and figure out what runner passes. Oh, really, you're really doing. You're really doing knee lifts. You don't get jet lag. Really? Okay. My subtraction of Seattle this year. But the same thing has been ascribed to Pete that when he sells, it's just because the draft picks are good enough. You know what I mean? You what he's selling their buying. Keep selling Gino. Keep selling Gino and drew lock because you traded away Russell Wilson because you couldn't figure out how to let him cook, even though 9 years worth of, I'm caping for Pete now. I know you are truth, though. You just heard it. Hey, we saw how quick we were. We saw how young and talented we were. We see what genome can do. We believe in it. Okay, Pete, yeah. Always compete, I get it. Yeah, you needed to sell yourself to ownership after last year. He's on his last legs.

"And joining us right now on the Mercedes Benz vans phone line is the wide receiver of the division leader in the NFC west. I'm not talking about Deandre Hopkins. No. Not talking about deebo Samuel. Not talking about Cooper Cup. Talk about Tyler Lockett of the Seattle Seahawks joining me right here on the Richardson show how are you doing Tyler? No, I'm pretty good. How you doing? You've been in the league for 8 years now? Yeah, doesn't seem like it. Wow. You're an OG. Yeah, something like that. You are. Surely compared to some of your new teammates. No question about it. Yeah, I still feel like I looked at youngest, but when it comes to the age, I'm definitely one of the oldest. So what is your role? Do you feel in the locker room on this team? Tyler. I mean, I think the biggest thing when it comes to my role is just making sure that everybody's on the same page, being able to keep everything balanced, not getting too high and not getting too low, but just being able to stay steadfast through everything. Okay. And what did you know about Geno Smith in this offense that the rest of the league has learned over the first 7 plus weeks of the season? Well, I mean, I thought Gino was really good for what it was that we were trying to be able to accomplish. I think that I think that when Gino came in, we've seen the tools that he has. We've seen what he could be able to do and I just think that the things that Gino and Shane have talked about the things that they've been trying to build like build up. I think it's really helped us as an offense and I think it's something that everybody is able to see. Gino has done a great job just building that chemistry with each and every one of us have receiver kind of talking to us about how he sees things out there on the field, how him and Shane are trying to attack defenses each and every week. And so all that stuff is just playing into all the Geno strengths. And I think it's really helping us out as a team. And he's been leading us to victory. I like to pull on that string a little bit more. What do you mean he's talking to you and the rest of the receiving core about his vision and what the vision is? You mentioned change, Shane waldron is the offensive coordinator in his second year there in Seattle. What do you mean? Give me an example of those conversations if you don't mind. Well, I mean a lot of it is just breaking down defenses, understanding, understanding how we want to attack defenses, but not only that, but how we want to attack certain players, making sure we're on the same page when it comes to how to run certain routes against certain players, understanding how those players are going to be able to attack us, understanding the route that we might like to run against the corners or the throws that genome might want to be able to throw against the corners. And understanding that, you know, no matter who's out there, we're still going to attack each and every person the same based off of the plan that we build each and every week. So it's more of a week to week thing is what you're saying, not some sort of philosophical sit down conversation. That's what you're saying. With him. Yeah, everything is more so week to week, but you know, but I mean the biggest thing that Gino has really helped us with just this year. We're just our philosophy and everything we're trying to accomplish. And it's being able to get those third downs, like the more and more we're able to get those third downs, the more and more plays we can be able to run. Like the first two or three games, I think we averaged about 47 plays, which was last in the NFL. And the last couple of games, man, we've been able to run a whole lot of plays. And so when we can stay on the field as an offense, we can run the ball, we can do play actions. We can throw the ball. There's a lot of different things that we can do. And I think we're showing a lot of variety in our offense, which is definitely what I think that Shane and Gino wanted to be able to do this year. And I had Gino on before week one, Tyler Lockett, and he said, don't call this a comeback story. It's what he said. Don't call it a comeback story. He says, I've been just fine and I've got an opportunity here and I plan to take it. That's what he said. Is that what he said to you guys too? Proud of the season? No, he didn't have to say that to us 'cause we knew it, you know, could do. I mean, you know, it was mostly a lot of people on the outside who didn't know what Gino could be able to do, but even when Gino played in those three games last year, like everybody saw what he was able to do and we were able to build that chemistry with Gino. You know, early on when Gino wasn't the starter, I mean, a lot of times we never get a chance to go with him or throw with him.

"They didn't follow up strong. So lots to discuss today, certainly with that trade, the eagles being aggressive. Getting Robert Quinn for this 6 and O team coming off a bye week taking on the Steelers. So I've got a couple of cents on that subject matter. And if you didn't see it, we'll play the sound bite of roquan Smith of the bears being told Robert Quinn has been traded away while he's on the podium he found out. And couldn't keep it together. That's a remarkable moment. We'll play that. Bill Belichick is chimed in on the health of Mac Jones. Today, I'm just seeing you to see what happened yesterday. Can't wait. I mean, God bless Belichick for somebody who doesn't apparently has the MO of not wanting to talk to the media. He talked to the media on Monday night. He talked to the media yesterday morning and he spoke again today. He is available, man. Yeah. And so I proper to see this does reek of a Bill Belichick press conference moment. We'll see if we can put that all together for you. We're already on it. Fantastic. Thank you, mister Hoskins. Tom Brady lost four in a row in 2002. There you go. One time. But even then he wasn't two games under 500. No, 'cause they started the season three. Unreal, right? Then they lost the next four. Even then. Yeah. So that was the last time he was three and four was 2002. And then they won the next game. And he's never been two games under 5. Hundred. That's insane. Didn't happen to Michigan either. I love the way you always throw that in. Oh dude, I am so psyched for this weekend. You have no idea. We have an idea because you told me that line's moving too. Uh oh. Well, let's talk about it because I got Tyler Lockett. And then I've got Aaron Rodgers. Basically, there's a new thing. He speaks to pat Tuesday, and then he speaks to everyone else about what he told pat Tuesday. That's the news cycle. So we'll take a break title locket of the Seattle Seahawks. Can't wait to chat with the wide receiver of the NFC west leading Seattle Seahawks.

"6 o'clock and I never felt older in my entire life. TJ Jefferson used to dance on tables at the hottest clubs in LA and I'm going to a movie at 6. This movie barbarian, man. It's about this girl who rents an Airbnb in Detroit and then she gets there and there's someone already there and let me tell you something. It was the most frustrating movie I've seen in a lot. Did you cut a kid off at the popcorn line? Don't want to see some sort of Pixar movie, whatever's out right now. I did not, but there was myself. There was just one bag of sour patch kids left and I kind of hit check this kid was rich. All right. Welcome to this edition of the rich eisen show. Oh, this is what I'm saying guys. We've got ourselves a very nice guest list. Coming up on this program in 17 minutes time is one of the most thoughtful players in the NFL who and if you've not heard him interviewed on this program, he's always just a deep thinker and a straight shooter and a good dude and he is Tyler Lockett of your NFC west leading Seattle Seahawks. And he's coming on this program. I can't wait to hear his thoughts on this surprising start. And it is that. Week 8. Of the NFL season. In 2022, and the biggest, I would say, let me just go in the head before I finish my thought here. I know the Vikings are 5 and one, but they were a bunch of people that thought that Minnesota could win that division this year that no Devante Adams and the packers would be struggling as they are entering week 8. They playmaker was high on. Seattle, but I know nobody had Seattle have been above 500 let alone leading a division through 7 weeks going in a week 8. So we're going to talk to Tyler Lockett who's taking on another surprise team through the first 7 weeks because they've only lost once and that usually was in recent years. The home opener or the week one opener for the New York Giants. They're 6 and one. Great game on the week 8 docket that begins tonight we'll hit that with Tyler Lockett. Only game between winning teams? In week 8, I believe so. Is that right? Well, we'll check that out. We'll check your math on that, but it's entirely possible. The jets are the winning team, do not New England. Okay. So yeah, no, I'm correct. That's the only team. How about the docket between so Tyler Lockett will join us on this program. And Brian Dawkins will join us on this program. It's the undefeated eagles come back from their buying. They've got a new player in Robert Quinn from the Chicago Bears. We'll hit on that subject matter with Brian Dawkins. I'll give you my two cents on the trade as well. The World Series begins tomorrow night. Don't you know? Let's go met. Never mind. Wow. The team in their divisions in it though. Yeah, I don't know how that happened. And it's not the defending World Series champion of braves aren't defending much, but their couch today. Ring the bell. Philadelphia Phillies are in Houston to take on the Houston Astros, and the subject matter I'm talking about with Jeff passon will have obviously been the World Series, but of the PCE put out there in the ether on the Internet tubes yesterday. When he followed around Aaron judge for a portion of his home run chase. And Aaron judge and the Yankees, by the way, I just made sure to make sure check on it. They're not in the World Series. Their last win in the playoffs was the one that eliminated the Cleveland guardians and got them to the ALCS, which they were swept out of by dusty baker's Houston Astros who are terrific, have not yet lost a playoff game going into the World Series. In 2022. So lots to talk about with Jeff passon and then in the third hour, this book right here is awesome. I'm reading it right now. The last folk hero, the life and myth of Bo Jackson, Jeff Perlman's in studio. And Jeff Perlman's last book, or was it his most recent book? I think it was, his most recent book got turned into a series with HBO called winning time. And he had another book on the Lakers pardon me. That might be turned into something else as well. But we'll talk winning time with Jeff Perlman, we'll talk about Bo Jackson with Jeff Perlman. He wrote the book on Barry Bonds, so we'll talk, judge and bonds with F Perlman, our number three is going to be dynamite. I wouldn't miss it. So we're right here on the Roku channel two ten, this rich eisen show terrestrial radio affiliate SiriusXM Odyssey, our podcast. There's no way to avoid us quite frankly. Tonight, by the end of tonight. Tom Brady may be something he's never been. In the NFL. And I would proffer to say, not as a collegiate. Player either. And that is two games under 500. That's never happened. The only time Brady has awakened in the morning. Of an NFL week that he knew he was going to be the starting quarterback of a team that was two games under 500. Was the New England Patriots in the year that mo Lewis blew up, Drew Bledsoe's put Brady on the field and began the remarkable run that takes us all the way to week 8, 2022 tonight on Prime Video bucks hosting the ravens. They were to in four, but as we all know, Brady trotted in from the sideline in week two against the jets and so the two and four record was not all on his docket. He's never, ever, ever been a starting quarterback. Two games under 500 on the season. That's never happened and that can happen tonight and I got to tell you, it sure looks like he's going to be by the end of the night. How is that possible, really? You think? How is that possible? To never be that? Wow. I mean, 20 years. It is remarkable. It's incredible. That's never happened. That's why it's the best ever. The reason why I say it looks like that's going to be the case tonight is they were on a short week. They just lost to a team on an interim head coach. They just lost to a team whose locker room

"How do you think Gino and luck are going to perform in those shit conditions? Where you are forced on third and fourth down to have long distances. To have a pass blocking unit that's probably not going to fare a ton better than last year. And yes, the talent's better because you upgrade it through the draft. But there's still rookies. So I just don't. And then you're going to have this very heavy run oriented offense on early downs and you're facing a top ten schedule. I don't see this going very well for the Seattle offense. Then you have Tyler Lockett. Once a week, they're fielding a call for Tyler Lockett. There's a lot of teams right now that are missing a weapon that we think can be potential contenders. As Tyler Lockett going to be there for all 17 games, I think if we were to create odds on that, you'd have to favor the no. You know, I'm honestly surprised he's still there to your point. I mean, we figured that there was a chance DK Metcalf could be moved, but they obviously made a long-term commitment as DK amongst other wide receivers secured his bag. So you figured that was a way to basically put the writing on the wall and say Tyler Lockett, you're now expendable as we go through the rebuild, but hey, like you said, and DK's agent was aggressive. Super aggressive. Had to get the deal done now or trade me because you know why? They understood who's going to be throwing to them the next couple of years, and that was going to tank as tank as dollars. Not going to be getting the ball on anything more than wide receiver screens or having to go up there and collect jump balls, getting facing double coverage against subpar quarterback play. So those guys can at least throw it deep down the field. So from DK's perspective, they're going to be probably in some negative scripts, hopefully you throw a little bit more. And those quarterbacks have decent enough arms to push down field. But yeah, a lot of jump balls. It's going to be different than catching balls from Russell Wilson. During the Seahawks heyday and then when they were at the peak of NFC dominance so much if that was predicated on what they could do defensively. That couldn't be further from the case when you look at the current construct of what the Seahawks will bring to the table this season. And inability to generate pressure has led to a miserable past defense over the last three seasons where they're giving up more than 270 yards per game. I mean, the numbers, they're staggering pain. 28th in yards per game allowed 18th in takeaways. They can't generate pressure up front the sack numbers aren't there. I don't even know where you look to start for Seattle to highlight some strengths. So we're not complete pessimists about what this stop unit will look like week in week out this fall. Let's just start with the defensive positives. That many of them, huh? That many defensive positives. I thought there was eerie science. I'm going damn it, the connection broke up. I was way too good for you

"All might hit a 5 year $100 million deal, not obviously fully guaranteed, but somewhere around that, do you buy that the Seahawks want to keep DK Metcalf because I believe that Pete Carroll used the same phrase he used with Russell Wilson when he said we plan on or whatever the wording was to have DK Metcalf on the roster next year said that about Russell Wilson had the combine and here we are. So do you think that the DK gets moved? Would you like him here in New England if he does get moved? Do you think he's worth it? What would you get up for? Where are you on this? I don't think Seattle is going to trade him. I know that there's that quote or whatever. And look, he could want out, but they're kind of in a perfect situation where they don't have Russell Wilson's contract weighing them down. They really don't have any big contracts weighing them down. Yeah. They can afford to pay him, they're going to have a rookie quarterback on The Rookie quarterback to heal the affordable deals. They're going to have more money to spend. And look, what's the conversation? We've been having all off season. The Bengals had it last year. The jets are having it now. You get the young quarterback, you want to pair them with the stud wide receiver. You're looking for guys probably about 25, 26 is a true default threat. Bengals have them. Sorry, the Seahawks haven't been in the Bengals too. But the Seahawks have to DK Metcalf. I don't see the incentive to move him. Like a guy like Tyler Lockett, Tyler Lockett's 30. By the time they get through this rebuild, how to lock, it's not going to be a contributor. So it makes sense to move him. You come out of the other side of this rebuild, DJ Metcalf is going to be 27, 28 is going to be right in his prime. And you have that elite receiver for your young.

"Give christian mccaffrey and quite edwards allaire and then smashed wide receiver so collider die this year. Clyde all right mike you are back up all right. I number two this one a boy. I don't think it was a surprise. This one should not be a surprise. Either either either either both work. What do you go with. I go either. Usually unless. I want emphasis if i want emphasis. Either one okay. That's true it's tyler lockett wide receiver from the seattle seahawks Re i was hanging out with my crew last night. And they were asking me like have you. Are you to the point. Where like seahawk can be one of your my guys. I said i can neither confirm nor deny that. Neither confirm yes man. This is a situation but in fact a seattle seahawk is one of my guys this year. It is tire the he is still a big part of this offense. They are committed to him so committed to them. They gave him a four year. Extension worth almost seventy million dollars and it was a tale of two seasons absolutely for tyler. Lockett but let. Let's go back. Let's paint the picture in the last three years. He has seen his receptions and his targets rise. every year. i think part of the. What's interesting here for tyler. Lockett in the fifth round is he was a much later. Breakout then what you normally see like he. He wasn't a second you're breakout. He wasn't a third year breakout at the wide receiver position. It took him some time. But we've seen his receptions go from fifty seven to eighty two to one hundred tidal lock. It caught the ball one hundred times last year. He's had double digit touchdowns of two of his last three seasons and it was eight touchdowns in that other season. He has the fifth most touchdowns of the last three years. Tired of lock. It is extremely good. And he's tied to russell. Wilson who is a high touchdown volume thrower. He saw moore targets than decay. Metcalf i it's not just decay. Metcalfe's team tyler. Lockett accused part this i. It's interesting because you have been the table pounder for like you guys you in. Jason had the the russell wilson debate like right where you know the volatility of russell wilson and jason. You can speak as a former tyler. Lockett my guy yes. I two years in a row so just providing value. Yeah i mean. How was your experience with. Tyler was outstanding first half of the year. So but you're willing to overlook some of the volatility absolutely because of where he is going in. Adp he saw fourteen. Enzo targets that was tied with decay met. Well it's not just him isn't that it's not just metcalf getting those endzone shots he's going in the fifth round. He is your auto pick for you. I is your fifth starter. He's not decay. Everyone has no problem with the various that hit decay metcalf at the end of the season but title lock big. Let's begin mecca but is being punished all the way down to the fifth round after week eight. That's when the consistency really took a turn for the worst however he was still seeing volume. This was just a product of maybe the defense figure things out maybe the the various was regressing to the mean. But in that time after week eight decay. Metcalf seeing twenty six percent of the targets. Tyler lockett still. Seeing twenty three percent of the targets the volume was still there it. Just they were missing on the efficiency t. Touchdown variance hit tired of it. David moore had more touchdowns in that stretch. That's just how it goes. Sometimes he did seem kind of impossible when you looked at the involvement in the offense for him to string that many weeks together where he did goal. Do he didn't really make sense. It was like okay if you just showed me the target share and the targets. You'd be like okay scored this many fantasy points but it just he just had a bad run. Yeah and Similar to what. Jason was saying about clyde if clyde had done those things With different expectations he would be skyrocketing and adp if tyler lockett season where flip-flopped and he started bad and then over the second. Half of the season comes out strong winds people fantasy championships. He would not be going in the fifth round so with with everything with the volume. Still being there. The efficiency will will return in my opinion. It's been there forever. It we have a crazy stat here. This one was dug up by the borgen over their last three hundred twelve targets. Here's tire lock versus davante adams. Two hundred thirty nine receptions for lock at two hundred twenty for adams over three thousand yards for title lock at twenty six hundred yards for atoms in twenty eight touchdowns for lock at twenty five for devante adams tidal lock. It is not thought of as an elite wide receiver. And i'm not he's being paid like one. It's it's a fun state. I'm not saying the locke's devante atoms. That's just a fun cherry. pick stat. but i'm saying that tony lockett represents such an insane value in the fifth round for how bad he was in the second half of the year. He still finished the season into tally as a wide receiver. One that's how great the beginning was so. Forgive the second half get over it. Take that value in the fifth round. When you have that level of volume consistency is the receptions. Consistency is an inconsistent metric. Brought this up in the past. We saw it with michael thomas where two years in a row he was incredibly full volume one of the highest targeted guys. One of those seasons he was very inconsistent like he. He lost a bunch of weeks and he won a bunch of weeks and then the next season the most consistent wide receiver of all time. Just follow the volume and tyler. Lockett has it. And he's got great great quarterback he's my auto pick as well in the fifth round. So really it just comes down to when mike and i are in a draft together. Who's who has the first fifth round. Pick all right my final. my guy. This year was recently quoted as saying. I want to be unknown. Name.

"Not especially a lot of people having trouble fire. People are finding people to hire these days tier five. I read it off. Lock it i- euch chase and jones. Wow i mean. I think it's interesting that you got you over deebo and i also think it's interesting. You've got like the youngest receiver in the league. Jase and the oldest receiver in the league. Julio jones and the same dear yes so these are guys that have a lot of consistency questions. I think if you can you wanna make an argument brandon. I you could be in. Its here higher. Because i feel pretty damn good about him at san francisco's ex But when a couple of let's just break down some of the other guys tyler lockett. This is a guy who had massive ceiling last year but a very very very low floor that has been established over the last couple of years. He's somebody who is much better in best ball. I mean is destroyed. Some lineups and season-long where you plug them in there and you're like oh my god. He got two catches for fifteen yards. The next week he catches eleven balls for two hundred he. He caught the single. Most inconsiderate title caught one hundred passes last year but they were completely inconsistent. His his production was not near the level of decay. Metcalf in terms of consistency. So i i mean tiber lock catching one hundred balls last year. I think that would surprise a lot of fantasy players because a lot of that production came in just a few games. Here's here's some examples. Seven catches for sixty seven yards and a touchdown nine catches for one hundred yards and three touchdowns fifteen catches for two hundred yards and three touchdowns twelve catches for ninety yards in two touchdowns. He caught twelve passes in week. Seventeen to get one hundred on the year. By the way nine catches for sixty seven yards and one touchdown. Those are the games in which he scored touchdowns but you had games of two for thirty nine four for thirty three four forty three for twenty three four for thirty four three for forty four. Those are not usable fantasy games but the other weeks were blow up. So i kind of feel like. There's a blow up vibe here for tyler. Lockett makes it more appealing in best ball. Julio jones to me far more appealing in best ball he doesn't have to be the alpha dog anymore with aj brown. They're the titans have essentially said we're going to be conservative with him We know he's had injury problems. I i could see him being a guy who has a few blow up weeks and is a complete ethnic the rest of the way tomorrow as being rookie. He's my highest rated rookie here with the up and down for joe borough in camp. I'm not really comfortable putting him any higher than this. Let's get to your next tier. Joe and that is tier six parentheses. Another.

"Year. I think metcalf in hopkins are interesting because now they got. Aj green there and for metcalf. You know there's tyler lockett yeah well lock. It's a guy who's inconsistent. I'm sure we might talk about him later. But he's a guy who's a much better best ball player but de que metcalfe's a really special player. I just don't see how things are going to go down like his game to game consistency was outstanding last year. He saw five plus targets in fifteen of sixteen games and score double digit fantasy points. In twelve of sixteen games. Tyler lockett really his only competition for volume. I think it's another one hundred. Twenty twenty-five targets are on the docket for decay. Mccafe these guys. You're in the interior one at behind my elite tier. I think you can make an argument. For calvin ridley to go towards the elites here but the elite here those guys. I have great in his first round picks in fantasy. All of these guys. I have graded as second round. Picks in fantasy there could be some overlap from tier two tier. But these guys. I have graded a second round. Picks for fantasy man. Let me them. If i have a pit. I talked about this on the running back. Show if i am in the position to pick dea evolving cook or christian mccaffrey at the top of my draft. And i get one of these guys men. Do i feel like i'm cooking. I like i just feel like that is a l. of a star so i think the first pick some years. The first pick isn't as important as it is this year some years. The number one number two guys aren't clear. Cut sometimes the back end of the second round is a massive drop off from the front end of the second round that makes drafting at the back end of the first round. Much more appealing. Not this year. I love the end of the second round. I love the top third round. Pick an early to cheat code some of these receipt. Receivers of the reason. Why.

"I'm conceding that in also conceding. That i don't know you know how this is going to go. And this is sort of like a hedge position most but it's an honest hedge because i just don't know how this how these things are going to go just jam them altogether yet and i think that's totally fine to think about quarterbacks in tears by the way i don't think it's that crazy to think that dak or ross or gentleman herbert can be in the mix with these guys also you can get them even later so lot later. So yeah i mean it's not crazy at all. As usual quarterback position remains very very deep. I do think though the first seven eight guys though are really really strong and we always talked about being on top of that how the position has changed to all these guys running in the throw rates in all that okay. Let's get to out liar. So these are silva's outliers in the first six rounds only. We're talk about today. Guys sylvia's either much higher on or much lower on than the market will start with tyler. Lockett you have tire lock wide receiver. Sixteen his underdog. adp as wide receiver. Twenty is f. f. p. c. adp wide receiver twenty two so significantly higher on tyrod. A key had some absolutely massive games last year and then he had some really really bad games. He'll say. I think if you ask him that he was banged up and he was really hurt down the stretch last year but man he was really tough to play like wasn't even consideration for dfs for much of the last month. Two months of the season. So i know i know. You're high on tyler lockett every year. I want to be high on tyler. Lockett this year again are giving him an out on the injuries. As shane waldron thing. Why so much. Higher than consensus on tire lock in. The dude is really tough by the way i mean he. I don't think he's snap count really even narrower. His knockouts really weren't even going down when he was banged up. He was banged up down the stretch of last season. He returns as you know a guy with whom russell wilson has just incredible a long track record of incredible chemistry and incredible efficiency and as we mentioned on the coaching staff pod. A really really vice grip secure target share in the office. It's not going anywhere. Decay metcalf may pass them as the number one. He's still a really close number. Two and i mean he's not i mean. I don't think dwayne is going to jump in and grab and grab a ton of targets from. I think the job ever it was a nice real life signing and i think you could have some decent games first seattle. But he's not gonna come in and close in on tyler lockett charter share. I mean it's it's kind of the same thing that we were talking. Last year with your with regard to seattle stacking them because at the top of the passing. Game pecking order. Those target shares are so solid and locked in with decay metcalfe and tyler lockett and rounding out with russell wilson who is affordable in-draughts. This year we've had a lot of success being a head of market on tyler lockett. And we're gonna continue to do that. We're going to continue to bang drums in that. Same range. adam feeling you have as wide receiver. Seventeen underdog eighty wide receiver twenty three f f. Pc is wide receiver. Twenty four by something to do with that in feelings age. It might have something to do. With unsustainable touchdown rate from last year. It might be something to do with. Just jefferson's emergence and we already talked about. But i'm still i mean it's a. It's a are scheming things to him at the goal line. There's no doubt about that. I agree that his touchdown right is unsustainable. Actually bet on his under touchdown four this year but still i like adam feeling. Why does she seventeen way ahead of market on him. Talks about adam feeling. The analysis is very similar to tyler. Lockett because you have a long sustained history of chemistry between kirk cousins. And adam deal and that kind of stuff is bankable year-over-year you have a young kid has come in. Probably overtaken adam zealan you know as as decay metcalf tyler lockett as you know the most dynamic receiver on the team but then there's not a ton of other guys that are gonna be stealing a ton of targets from adam feeling i mean we think herbs earth smith is you know. He's he's an ascending player. And i mean. Even mike zimmer came out and said hey you know he's not going to become a full time player this year i do. I do think he's going to be. He's gonna splashing some big games this year. But there's no really. There's really no third receiver of consequence. So i just. I don't feel as a rock-solid pick and i'm very comfortable i guess he's not sexy and that's why he's. Adp is a little bit lower. I feel great about being ahead of his. Adp just like. I was last year and we're going to continue to do that. Oh man. I took him so many times in the third fourth round last year like every single time and i don't feel strongly this your bag. Do you like being ahead of market on adam. Phelan odell beckham you have him. As wide receiver twenty-three underdog adp wide receiver twenty eight same as f. fcc wide receiver twenty eight. We know about oto. Beckham's tatreau talent. He has not done since he's been in cleveland and attitude issues health issues Running centric issues quarterback issues. You can make a lot of case for why it hasn't clicked for odell beckham but it's been a while since he's taking a five guard slammed to the house and i was lucky. Those plays were unsustainable and ways. He just cost a bunch together with the giants. Maybe it's something injury related. I know you're high. No doubt i think you actually flipped. Odell ahead of dj charcoal. I know you like a lot as well so tell people about that. Ranking change in y. Being so high on no doubt well we were still really ahead of his eighty p because he's at wide receiver thirty two on football guys championship And then as you mentioned. I mean i. I like both of these guys. Were being drafted willing to take them a little bit of a few spots ahead of their. Adp i just. I think it's a good year draft odell. The browns are gonna run a ton of play action. Who can go get the downfield. Play action on the team better than odell. Nobody else can and then if you look at the way that the browns opened up their passing game down the stretch last year and this was without odell and it was with jarvis. Landry planning it significantly less than one hundred percent. I mean they were out trot now by donovan. People's jones and hollywood higgins the real hollywood hollywood. He's a baller But you know the the way that they opened it. I mean and that was in the first year of kevin fancies with no offseason no training camp though or barely any training camp no preseason games and and they and as the.

Good for Russell for passing it to him and getting him that money Getting him paid. I love that teamwork. Yeah, it was. It was a good year, although I will say I just got the crowd noise did not coordinate. Really with the type Very well, there was nothing about it. There was not enough crowd noise. Whatever's got the you know you got to have, I guess a separate set of crowd effects for the must win, You know, playoff games, But remember, you have a particularly tuned here for audio, Dave. So I'm not sure if anybody else would have noticed if that had been were the real crowd. You couldn't have heard a word Rail said when Tyler Lockett got that catch, Okay? Sure. So it was too much you're saying No. Yeah, Normal crowd. Noise is supposed to be too much. No, But come on this game was in Phoenix. But where? Where? What Stadium is a mausoleum? It's um or it's terrible. For south this, so it's it wouldn't and that's the rosy enhanced all the time. Even back when we're out of these extraordinary times that I'm not a big fan of that statement, noise. It is eight fifties and I know everyone cares what I think of that stadium. But they are locked in at the number three seed. because of the saints packers winning the seahawks will host the rival rams in the wildcard round next week and mark. How good you feel about the seahawks. After today's game i would. I'm concerned about their offense. It's almost like a flip inverse relation to where they were earlier in the year. Where the offense was we watched it through the air. We had russell wilson pegged as a potential mvp because of how they were allowing him to play and how decay metcalf antilock. We're playing and the defense was all the concern. I mean lock it today. Set a seattle seahawks record for receptions in a season decay metcalf set a franchise record for yardage in a season but a lot of that has to do with the compiled numbers from earlier on this team. At one hundred and nine yards the start of the fourth quarter. They couldn't run the ball and it took a very typical seahawks. Finish the tyler lockett touchdowns and the alex collins dash for a score. I mean they came up late in a game where i would put this a little bit into divisional game against cal shanahan. Who robert sala. Who thought again. It's been weeks in a row. Coaching lights out. I'll made things real tough for seattle seattle things tough for the niners in the opposite way just sort of a typical nfc west beatdown and this niners team. "Turn it. Hand called his time inside. The ten inside the five touchdown seahawks back. It's up five. Doesn't matter alex collins is gonna punch it in for you anyway. Steve ray will. Kiro with the call outs. Columns ran for eight yards on a yard score. Russell wilson threw two fourth quarter. Touchdown passes the tyler lockett the seahawks rally twenty six twenty three win over the niners They end twelve and four. The seahawks four game winning streak But they are locked in at the number three seed. because of the saints packers winning the seahawks will host the rival rams in the wildcard round next week and mark. They keep flashing to the box up in the sky where like star players not in the game. I mean they're doing with nobody and seattle. They work themselves out of a funk to some degree. do i trust them
Bill Barnwell on Bears versus Packers
"Watching bears and packers and aaron rodgers to the surprise of literally. Nobody just decimated the bears and mitch trubisky forty one to twenty five so i wanna turn this conversation to the horse race. The mvp conversation because there really hasn't been a wire-to-wire front runner. This whole time. We've seen the pendulum kind of swing. Russell wilson kyle murray. Was there for hot. Second mahomes obviously and aaron rodgers who remains squarely in the thick of it after an off season full of drama around jordan. Love being drafted at quarterback and yet there is aaron rodgers just dominating again robert tanya and guys at touchdown to robert tanya made aaron rodgers the eleventh. Qb in nfl. History to pass for more than fifty thousand yards the second-fastest so where are you on. The whole rogers ram vp. Okay so i. I'm inclined to pick. Patrick mahomes by choice right now. And i think the only thing separating those two with russell wilson third is that one disastrous game. Rogers had against the bucks earlier this season. And i think if you're going to make a case for rodgers. Mvp to start with the idea that he's doing more with less and mahomes has to work with. And wilson has to work with the homes of course has a dominant group of receivers with Terry travis kelsey leading the way. Russell wilson has decay metcalf and tyler lockett and we talked about this before the season. Rogers has devante adams and a lot of question marks. Rogers has injuries and opt-outs affecting his receiving corps from week to week and on top of that. The guys who are extra showing up are posting the second highest drop rate for any quarterback in the league and yet when you put rodgers back there even against a very good defense which the bears are. There are stretches this year. He looks absolutely untouchable. The bears had no answers for him on sunday night. So the other
Tyler Lockett "Phenomenal" In Seattle Seahawks Overtime Loss To Cardinals
"In Monday night Football. The Rams beat the Bears 24 to 10 in Los Angeles. The first place Seahawks wasted a record setting Sunday night performance. Details recall those bills warts Tyler Lockett was absolutely spectacular. Last night, 15 grabs 200 yards, equaling the franchise best by Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Largent. Even with block it's career performance, the Seahawks lost for the first time this season. 37 34 over time. There's just things that we've gotta constantly work on being able to maintain the lead and not give it up. Now. The Hawks could be missing starting corner Shaquille Griffin for Sunday's home game against San Francisco. He's dealing with a concussion and hamstring issue.
Seattle Seahawks’ list of injured players continues to grow
"Trainers earning their keep it Seahawks headquarters. Seattle's three no football team is far from healthy. Half a dozen players sat out practice yesterday. 12 more limited because of injuries. Secondary hard hit with Jamal Adam's Quinton Dunbar among the walking wounded Russell Wilson, now the NFC offensive player of the month. 14 touchdown passes in three games. A new NFL record. Teammate Tyler Lockett, says Russ, Visualize is greatness. When it comes down to that last play when it comes down to having to make that tough throw. He's already practiced it over and over within his head, and so is just another throw. The Hawks were a touchdown favorite on the road Sunday against the Dolphins. Inclement
Fantasy Football Forecast: One BIG THING you should know for every Week 2 matchup
"I sit out the way New Orleans versus Las Vegas raters. We saw New Orleans showcase really really solid, really great defensive performance against Tom. Brady and the buccaneers They were pretty on disappointed as a team, lot of penalties on their defensive side of the front. The saints rebel to take advantage of that. La Raiders played against the Carolina Panthers last week and gave up thirty points. It's very possible that New Orleans doesn't look as Resi as they did against a really solid defensive front in Tampa. Bay and they might have their way with a raiders team that is still kind of pretty young and trying to get their footing and all this stuff. They don't they had an injury to majority of their wide receivers in the last game. So Dan, Waller seems to be their only solid option. At the receiving side of things that might mean there in Waller's uptick in target's share and my means, he gets an ends on this year or this week maybe something good happens for him I'm buying all the stock now I'm Kamara right now for this game, this should be Alvin Kamara. KAMERA's two touchdown, a hundred yards from scrimmage plus game. This is this is the one I wouldn't see why would be any otherwise and to be quite frank. I think that a lot of players on seem to have a really big game and this would be a really fun game to see trae Kwan Smith. I'm going to bring them up again. This'll be a fun game Trey Smith. Look to be a solid. Relieving game just for brevity and sake of saving saints, fans of fantasy fans alike, some worry as to what the saints offense can look like without Michael Thomas Soaking up a lot of the defensive pressure. All right. So Fancy implications all over the place you know Josh Jacobs. This could be a really good test to see just how much they believe in Josh Jacobs as a pass catcher because I don't know how much he's going to be able to do in the run game considering New Orleans is when had and still does on one of the better run defenses in all the football. I think the best game. Pound for pound this week has to be the night game on NBC, where New England is playing against Seattle that they're going to be playing in Seattle New England the we have a kind of banged up cam and she says it's the there's no hamstring issue but. Of Most people are saying that he does, Kinda. Have a little bit of a hamstring thing going on and we'll see how that affects him with all read option stuff and what we saw from last Sunday's performance maybe we started to see cam throw a little bit more, and then we can really see just what this doing his offense really has to offer for them sure that bill will have them ready for whatever and we saw sea hawks offense that basically let Russell Wilson do what people have been asking. Them to let Russell. Wilson do for basically the majority of the back half of the dense. You know twenty seventeen was to let Russ Cook and Cook did Russell Wilson? Do He only missed four passes? He had A. Great amount of yardage great touchdown passes de que look. Nice at times he did have some drops of course, Tyler Lockett looked really good. Chris Carson looked amazing. In the past game. We had some really good screens run in for touchdowns. They got tight ends involved the plethora tight ends at the seahawks own and their defense was literally flying around all over the place. Now, there are a lot of garbage time touchdown stuff in that Falcons game that I'm not GonNa hold against the defense when it mattered. Jamal Adams and of course. Everybody else in that defense just looked phenomenal. They just looked physical. They looked like they were flying around and making plays they look very formidable as team very formidable. So. That is a game as the May have a lot of implemented implications on things so KEEP IN MIND I think one of the better secondaries in the League is New England's granted they played against. The, dolphins but they did not allow that many receptions or receiving yards at all for either receiver on the dolphins and Tyler Lockett, and care very athletic fast guys but. It's going to be tough. Is GonNa be a tough about we'll see what happens. They may have to change up the strategy of leading Russ Cook for this game in particular and work through the old tried and true run the ball and try to make something happen later on in the game. But for US Russell Wilson owners like myself I hope they just let him throw the ball a little bit more that'd be nice. That would be fun I think we'd all like to enjoy that. So moving on towards another game I think the Baltimore Game at four, twenty, five eastern standard time on CBS is going to be a good one, Baltimore versus Houston. This game can go I think Houston is a team that kid look Jacqueline Hyde and they've been jekyll and Hyde ever since the Shawn Watson is come on that team and. Not Sage. It's the Sean played bad last Thursday. But he definitely did not look comfortable one hundred percent of the time and you just was trying to make plays. His offensive line wasn't there fully stout at all and when it was time to just throw throw throw things Kinda got out of hand for Houston Houston can't be a team that gets to behind too quickly or else it is going to be nightmarish for the offensive line. And it's going to be a bad day for Shawn Watson even though he can make miracles happen at will while Samour's in perfect position to take on a team that showcase bad tackling display. So this is a team. So if this is the time where you want to be like, okay JK Dobbins, he didn't have that many targets but hey, he got two touchdowns in is the time to test out the JK Dobbins is going to be. The album? Kamara. To Marketing Rooms Mark Ingram. So we'll see what happens here Lamar he this seem doesn't tackle well, Lamar could have himself a anywhere closer to forty to fifty yards rushing easily against this team if he wants it, and of course, Mark Andrews is a guy who I would think would eat very well against the Houston team that allowed drivers Kelsey to get like five catches in the first half with ease marched up and down the field with ease Look to see how David Johnson looks in his second bout. David Johnson had a nice surprise of a Comeback Week one performance that a lot of people were speculating was possible and he delivered for the most part. So that was encouraging for many people to go ahead and see so I wouldn't. Put it past him to do it once again. That's really really against the I think that Brandin cooks is still a bit. So that would not be. Great for folks owners. And I would be looking at anybody who has. Willie snead Willie snead was all over the place last week and it was almost to a shocking amount of how much willie snead was dependent on and I said Willie snead. That was not who I meant to say I meant to say will fuller will fuller will around the field for the Texans last week and I would like to see him continue that stretch because that would be. Pretty awesome to be completely honest. I. Would like to see a will fuller healthy and showcasing that he is here to stay in this league and thus it would not make me feel nearly as bad for short.
49ers' George Kittle expected to play through broken ankle against Packers
"ESPN's Adam Schefter reports tied in George hill perhaps the forty Niners best player expected to play in tonight's marquee match against the Packers receiver people Samuel also expected to play eagles running back Jordan Howard and receiver Nelson Agholor expected to play against the Seahawks receiver Alshon Jeffery expected to play the adult receiver Tyler Lockett also expected to be able to
Mother Orca Spotted Carrying Dead Calf For 17th Day
"Of our resident killer whale group j. pod were spotted this morning in the. Seattle Seahawks sign WR Brandon Marshall to 1-year deal
"It's an excellent question i have no closer to the answer the promise you that brandon marshall job oh yeah the thirty four year old wide receivers signing with the seattle seahawks tom pella cerro nfl network reported tuesday marshall broke the news on his instagram account posting a photo of himself skipping down the street in a seahawks shirt and this is going to be the thirteenth year for the wide receiver who really had a loss season in new york last year of season before that that was what the giants for for that with the jets was also a down year so wes seahawks need weapons brandon marshall in two thousand eighteen a weapon only theoretically nothing he's done on the football field the last two years suggest that he's going to be starting cal caliber wide receiver fact the giants went oh five with him in the lineup last year he averaged under nine yards per reception and took it took until the third week of the season before you had more more than receptions and i know he's being talked about as a red zone replacement for jimmy graham he's got three touchdowns on twenty red zone targets over the last two years jimmy graham has fifteen touchdowns on forty something targets it's an uphill battle to make the team i think i mean to make any team if he was looking for a team that he could wind up being started this is it they've tyler lockett doug baldwin and very little else amara darbeau i think they'd love to step up a third on pick from last year but not a lot of guys but just looking at the contract for instance it's two million dollars with incentives the minimum for a veteran of his age is about a million do the math he's basically getting about the minimum with no guarantees and he'll have to go make the team and just based on all the surgeries ad and how he looked last year i'm not so sure he will gets the cherry on top of one of the most suspect nfl offseasons league wide by the seahawks wow so you don't see this going anywhere i mean it didn't go anywhere last.
