"Today. Special teams kind of fun today Yeah, yeah, it was a couple that really nice plays, a couple of nice returns. And then the great punt by Trent gild down to the two and then the punter for Martin for the bills had a boomer, right before the end of the game. No, it definitely was a lot of congregating around the heaters here at valence Jones talking about how they had a little bit of a plan. Two different types of heaters, a big jet heater and then the smaller heater and the sideline stuff. So we talked about the pregame. It's hard to stay at the ready, you know, when you're a part time player when you're playing on third downs, mostly a guy like, you know, I got like Nikhil Harry who didn't play a lot of snaps today. You got to be got to stay loose. I noticed the defensive guys are smarter than the offensive. Because during the timeout, the defensive guys wouldn't come on the field. They were standing by the heaters where the old line guys only 5 guys out there. There's only 5 out there and stand without their coats on them. They're like those emperor penguins. They just stand there. I remember I remember I remember one game we played it was real cold like that and I saw McMahon and dick, and they were just standing by the sideline with their coat on. And I didn't want to go out and stand out there in the huddle, be one of the 5 guys out there just freezing. So I just decided to keep my coat on. I was standing by McMahon to see what dick and McMahon talk about and they weren't talking. To stand in there and all of a sudden dick sees me and looks at me and he goes, what are you doing? He goes, he yelled at me and told me to get out in the field. He wouldn't let me stand there. Okay, so that brings up the question, how often and what did Mike Ditka and Jim McMahon ever talk about on the sideline? They weren't talking when I was at that one time I was on the sideline with them. They were just waiting for the commercials to be done. I always felt I will know that was Jim Harbaugh. Remember the member of the time he changed the player or whatever. He was so furious Just pulled him as you ever do that again. Yeah, I mean, you talked about early in the pregame show we talked about bob avellini too. He got bob Evelyn he made a mistake like that one time and that was about it for him too. The addict, that was a little more pressure back there. There weren't a lot of smiles around in the locker room or after games. Wasn't the, it wasn't one of your best stories when he was you guys have played the packers in Milwaukee and they'd stand at that because you're on the same sideline. Remember you guys and then him and was it force Greg would stand there and just scream at each other the whole game? Yeah, they used to get into it. That's all they did. They weren't watching the game. They just stood there and screamed at each other at the demarcation line there, the 50 yard line. You were on your side, they were on their side. They just screamed it. Yeah, I never understood why we played the packers in three season game. That was crazy. That was crazy. We reminisce here. Maybe that's what you do around the holidays. I don't know, but you think about those times and how much did you hate it? I mean, hate it. The packers, you know, the fans. The fans now, obviously, there is a great rivalry, but it's so different than at that time when there wouldn't force Greg was the coach up there and ditka with the bears, and there was a true utter hatred of the other. The Dallas Cowboys rallied to defeat the New York Giants 28 20 on Thanksgiving, overcoming a 13 7 deficit with 21 unanswered points in the second half. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy says the cowboys time of possession keyed the win. Excellent division win game we had to have and I love the fire team and really what tried to break their method. And one thing I'm talking about is controlling the ball was a big focus for us today. That Prescott threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns the Dalton Schultz, CD lamb caught 6 for one O 6, while Daniel Jones threw for two 28 in a touchdown for the Giants. In Minnesota Kirk Cousins finds Adam Thielen in the end zone with 9 34 left to give the Vikings a 33 26 win over the Patriots, it was cousins third scoring strike of the game, just a phenomenal catch by him. I thought that the way he's able to catch that football, keep his feet in bounds. It just says a lot about his ability. This is a very good running team now and they pretty much dominated the run game really dominated the market. That pretty much completely dominated the run game. I thought they was going to go ahead and try to kick it out of bounds due to the time on the clock. The Patriots were just four for 15 on third downs and almost wasted a fantastic performance by their defense, which allowed just 103 total yards. Another big day for Joe burrow. So at Micah Parsons, who I was like, it could be the MVP. He was invisible too. So he's hurt though, isn't he? Yeah, he's not healthy anymore. So I think she's been a factor for them too. So I don't know, I just feel like this is a three point game. I don't know who's going to win, but 7 and a half points in Minnesota. If I can fans love this team, that was the Jefferson catch. That was an iconic potentially. I usually try to not to catch it with might have been or I think it's the most significant regular season catch I've ever seen. It was fourth and 18. It was. And it was so improbable. And then, you know, you and I talk about it. If you got your friend, Jeff Gallo, I want to say his name is? Yeah. I remember it from all the Greg Joseph misses. But like I have ten of those in my life, Vikings fans. And they always lose that game. Yeah. And that doesn't happen to them. And the bills and the snap with Allen, like 99 of a hundred times, it doesn't happen. And if it does happen, it doesn't happen against the Vikings. That's not the team that gets the benefit of that. And even after that, Josh Allen leads him right down the field and they tie it up with the Tyler bass field goal and then custom test to do it again. And I just think it's different. Early in the game, we're moving the ball and we get a holding. When those things happen, that really messes things up. This is a big statement game for the Pittsburgh Steelers, because for Pittsburgh, we look at them as a team that could be a playoff team. Not a lot to make the playoffs. No Super Bowl expectations this year for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they go up against a team in Buffalo. That is either the second or third best team in the FC and then for Buffalo. If you want people to believe in you, and I think a lot of people believe in Buffalo this upcoming season, they've done a nice job the last two years up against the Steelers. You should be able to take care of business today. But the Steelers to watch throughout this early part of the season is the way that offensive line Villanueva now with the Ravens, pouncing, now retired. How this offensive line is going to get off to a good or maybe a bad first impression and how they continue to gel throughout the season and for the Buffalo Bills. It all starts with that offense, But there are concerns about that defense and I know they drafted a lot of defense suppliers. This year, we will see at the defensive guru and Sean McDermott has Maybe a trick up his sleeve and get the bills back. To the fundamentally sound football that we did see from them to the earlier part of the Sean McDermott tenure with the Buffalo Bills, and I'll just give you a quick thought on socks at the Colts. This is all about how is Carson Wentz? Going to, even in a reduced role. Yes, he's starting quarterback going to run the football lot. How is he going to find a way to limit those turnovers as he is reunited with Frank Reich? And for cardinals at Tennessee? This is a game. That truly it could go Either way. I think it's a 50 50 coin flip. I believe that it is a toss up the matchup to watch. There's the Cardinals offense going up against the Titans defense. But Dupri, now part of the Tennessee Titans defense, however, that Titans defense a year ago was absolutely abysmal on third down and getting to the quarterback. We talked about one of these games in the last few minutes that Seattle at Indianapolis And Tom McCabe is standing by with his latest report. Well, the teams are coming out on the field right now for the coin flip is when getting under way just a little bit late because of some 9 11 ceremonies before the game, and we're just about to get our first. Look, um actually in a game of Carson win, says the Indianapolis quarterback. Of course, he missed. All of the preseason games and most of training camp due to a foot injury and surgery and also some covid issues. So we really have no idea what he's going to look like as the starting quarterback for Indianapolis, the fourth one in as many seasons. Of course, Russell Wilson is returning as he always does. He had another good year 4000 yards passing last season, Seahawks running back Chris Carson, hoping he can come back from an injury riddled 2020th season and the Colts also looking at their receiving court, ey Hilton right now will not be playing for the time being with the next next injury. And then there's a question of Paris Campbell, who played just a few games last season, and in 2000 and 19 due to injuries. Can he come back? We'll see what happens. We're getting underway here will kick off in just about a minute or two. The roof is closed at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, because it's a pretty hot date. He's had this the playoffs last year, so we'll see if you can get in sync. As the game goes along, the Titans have the ball first. We're just underway here in Nashville. That's brand Douglas standing by Arizona at Tennessee. I will say I just saw the early kick return in Buffalo and Buffalo is already in the Red Zone. Josh Allen runs onto the field and tells bills Mafia to settle down a little bit as it's nice to see fans coming on back and no bills. Fans were able to get some fans in the stadium. And Orchard Park during the postseason, but to see it full go in Buffalo is pretty cool. So talking about Buffalo, let's go to Paul Hamilton is standing by Pittsburgh at the Bills. Well, you talked about that Isaiah McKenzie returned to 75 yards. There wasn't a Steeler near him. He came up the field of blocking was superb. He got over to that left sideline, and he just took off and appear in turn the Jets on. He had blockers in front of them. The Steelers. I think we're lucky to get him down at the 24. But on the third and five Josh L. A just threw an incompletion as he was under duress, and the ball was deflected as the tried to make the pass. So the bills are going to have to settle for a field goal attempt on this one as the Steelers defense that was Cameron Heyward that got a hand on the Allen passes, he was moving to his left trying to throw a screen to get Those five yards, so it'll be a 37 yard attempt for Tyler Bass, who was a rookie last year had some problems to start the year but came on after that, But Bass is perfect.

"Guys are bills by the numbers actually give you the number and it is four. The number four. How about we talk about special teams? Because Tyler Bass had an amazing rookie year last year, we know that He now needs for consecutive made field goals for in a row to tie the team record of he has 14. If he gets four more, he'll tie the team record of Ryan Lindell set back in 2000 and seven so 14 consecutive made field goals in a row for the rookie. And in this stadium. I mean, that goes back to last year, November December How impressive is that? Chris Brown. It's impressive. Um, I would like to look at the distance, but, yeah, I mean, I think he's cemented himself as the kicker for this team for a very, very long time, barring an absolute collapse in his consistency and effectiveness. Because the Arizona game said it all last year on grass granted inside but on grass 53 55 58. To kind of keep the team in the game at that time last year against Arizona. Obviously, that game didn't go the way everybody wanted it to, But I think he cemented himself as the kicker for this team going forward for a long time. I mean, your rookie year you set the single season points record. I mean, come on. There's some big names in this bill's history among kickers Eric, the special teams group. Overall, we know that they have Tyler Bass, who's really terrific kicker. We just talked about that a moment ago, but you know, in the back end of returning punts, they lost an all pro. Return man, Andre Roberts. We've talked a lot about what he meant to this team. Isaiah McKenzie looked really good last year with the returning head against Miami and the finale. He's worked hard on it. But there's got to be a little bit of intrigue with bills, fans and maybe even the Steelers today. About Isaiah McKenzie. Returning punts. Yeah, in replacing Andre Roberts may be the best returner in the NFL that those are big shoes to fill. What Andre would do a lot of times would often go unnoticed on the statute. He would come up and make a fair catch on a punt that could have rolled out 20 yards. He didn't get it, and he would go up and make those plays. And so Isaiah McKenzie has big shoes to fill. And with a with a season with such high expectations with a roster with so few holes no, no holds on it. You start looking and you start nitpicking at the little things, and one thing is, if you get inconsistency in the return game games can be one in lost through special teams blunders at times, and you just want to see consistency. And Devin Singletary are your three running backs Jones going to be on special teams. You know that Emmanuel Sanders is up. So you're inactive. Zack Moss. Tommy Doyle Boogie Bash him star as we knew, and Andre Smith. Um, Boogie bash. Um, you know, Eric and I were talking about because he does play on special teams. And you wonder if in time he is going to be the next Daryl Johnson on that unit. If he does become that he will be active more weeks than not, But for now. I think he's going to have to buy this time. Uh and then you know Tommy Doyle. The extra tackle is going to sit as anticipated, so I don't think there's any tremendous shocks. So although we are taught, and we're talking this from a fantasy perspective, although the bills are this loaded on offense The weather and you're going up against the Steelers defense that had the most sacks in the NFL last year. They're one of the best units in football, if not the best. When you combine the weather and the defense that definitely does impact things for sure. I mean, when you look at the last two games, the bills have played the Steelers in 2019 and 2020. It was kind of the same style and with the weather kind of being bad, But you still had your studs. Be your studs in those games. A good point, so If you've got bills that you are confident in playing, you gotta play right? I'm not saying fact Josh Allen's to find digs as a matter of fact. Our first question of the season, Corey for the show that was tweeted. It was about Tyler Bass and a kicker situation and I am honored to go ahead and say Yes, we are starting season off right as we're getting legs here for For the first question of the season. Yes, and we will get to your questions. But even that Tyler Bass is undoubtedly considering what the kicker Situation looks like around the league. He is. A top five situation kid who needed to struggle to start and now is almost an automatic. That means even in a bad weather game, you're playing them right? He is. He is a player that you're not going to sit. He is a player that you're not full here. You that you're not messing around with on the waiver wire. That's my strategy. I'm always going with the kicker. But if you ended up with one in the last round, right, that is a just sat and forget. Yeah. Do it set it and forget it. My thing is, I might strategy normally with kicker as I go in with the high scoring offenses, and I take their kicker, So that had me Greg Zuerlein on Thursday. And guess what? You know, we still got me nine points, even though he missed two field goals, And that hurts. But guess what? Tyler basses. Now he's a kicker on a high school football team. So the weather does make things interesting, though, like I'm not saying sit, Josh Allen, I'm not saying sits to find digs. You are certainly playing both of them. I think Cole Beasley is Um, in his style, right. He's going to get the volume and inside with receptions, short yardage stuff, and I think in this kind of weather that can really help. But when it comes to maybe it's a you know, a game time decision between your flex options. Are you in a deeper league and you're trying to decide between should I start? Emmanuel Sanders, writer Zack Moss type of player versus somebody on another team right? That Running back three year wide receiver three type of decision maybe the weather and the defense does impact things Derek and when you look at it, I want to start with running back. Who do you like Because I think this weather in the defense definitely hurts guys like Sanders, who is also questionable. But as Corey said he is expected to play today Gabriel Davis and Dawson Knox. They were already battling for The you know, bottom of targets, and then you add the defense and the weather. It makes things tough for them. But this could be a good day. For Devin Singletary, er Zack Moss. The issue is it's kind of every week. I feel like it changes and it's different just like last year, and there is no guarantee.

"That's what was able to allow them to be a little bit more flexible, aggressive and confident when they were in coverage. And so I think that's the case of everything. You know. You want to have the talented guys in the secondary. No doubt that was the storyline that everybody was looking at. The bill is going in. As long as that defensive line plays well, I think the coverage unit even as is will be good enough, so that's definitely what I'm looking for, and they have really poured assets into it. This came up yesterday comes up pretty frequently their last four top picks. Two of them are second rounders, but going back to Ed Oliver at nine. Overall, they didn't have a first round pick last year because they traded it for Stefon Diggs, but their first pick, a second rounder, was up in ECE defensive end And then this year, the first round and second round pick both ends Russo and Bash them. You mix in free agency with Mario Addison, like they have poured in Starla to like I mean, they have poured resources into that defensive line. No, I agree and they're doing they're doing what you want to do. But there's certainly you know, a lot of people are saying you look at all the resources that they throw in the defensive line. You go. Okay. Why didn't you upgrade the secondary? More right? There's questions that people come up with every single off season, but That's why that's the part of the team that I'm most interested in to see how they perform because if they perform well enough, I think that you're going to hear a lot less sector questions about what they did or didn't do in the secondary this off season. So I really do think that the defensive line and those guys that are they're both young and old are going to tell the tale of I think how good that bill is. Defense really is. Hey, Trevor. One more. Kansas City is the deserving favorite in the A F. C in the NFL, Really right there with the box. Of course, the teams we've talked about at the top. Um, I'm sure you know, I'm sure you feel that's deserved. What about the like the same question. I asked you about the bills. When it comes to the Chiefs. I think maybe it's Little bit interesting. I'll guess I'll make the counterpoint to a little bit interesting that they didn't add wide receiver to me. But then again, they haven't needed any depth at wide receiver of consequence beyond Hill and Kelsey. So maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Is there anything like this about? This Chiefs team that is curious steel. I'm sitting here thinking about because this is a very common question, right? Especially when you look at an offense as talented as the Chiefs have been over the last couple of years and go. Okay. Where is the weakness? Where can we hit the Chiefs? And when you look at what happened in the Super Bowl, it was because their top two offensive tackles were out and the bucks absolutely feasted along the trenches, patch Mahomes running for his life, and even with Chelsea and Hill. Couldn't get on the ball. It just there was not enough there. And so you you go into the offseason. You think? Okay, the offensive line. That's the big thing that needed to change. What then? What do they do? They go out and shine. Joe Tooni. They go on trade for Orlando Brown. They draft Creed Humphrey. They've got Trey Smith. They have Lucas Niang from last year like they've got a lot of experience and the day after they can rotate in with the starter with those starters as well and so You look at the you talk about Buffalo, investing auto resources and their defensive line. The Chiefs. You couldn't ask for more from what they did investing in their offensive line, And so it's so hard to find a realistic angle. Of where the Chiefs are weak because I can sit here and I can talk about the defense. All I want younger players, guys outside of Tyron, Matthew and Chris Jones that need to step up. How they're we concern across the board. It's not like they about starting 11. Maybe a rotation of 15 guys that you'll love on defense. But guys, the thing is Don't matter If you're scoring 35 40 points a game. It doesn't matter. And so as long as Patrick Mahomes, Tyree kill, and Travis Kelsey or healthy, that team can beat any team in the NFL. Any week. Any location with anything on the line? It doesn't matter. And so it really just comes down to how you play matchup, schematic coaching versus coaching all that, and I think that That's what makes the Chiefs so special and so easy to bet on. With that. "He was having some down games is harrison. Butger he plays for the chiefs. Really good but i picked him up and i was like thank you for dropping him because i would love to have drafted for him but hey worked out anyways. I was able to get him on my team last year. But i mean obviously i didn't win but it was still nice to have them but yeah he plays for a really good team still really good. If he's there and you know at at the point where you start taking kickers. Go get them. So they're moving on to the next pick in my mock draft running back for the patriots. Damian harris might be a little bit late for him in this draft. But i i just feel like there's a lot of uncertainty with the patriots backfield because you know i just feel like it's whoever. Whoever has the hot hand i think is where at goes with. And you got a lot of running backs. Okay obviously they you know birkhead has gone but they still have a ton of running backs and you know again. It's a hot hand. Really an damian harris. I think is going to be the lead running back at some point because i don't think it's going to be james white and sony michelle. I think is going to be on his way out after this year. But i don't know i it's just i. I think the reason why. I had him lady. Just because of the uncertainty as to how the patriots are going to approach their backfield. Who's going to be the lead running back. It were just going to be. You know who impresses them. The most you know or they're gonna ride with the hot hand. Because obviously if sony michelle goes out there and he does really well in the preseason training camp and all that you know maybe they ride with sony michelle until he does bad and then damon harris takes over. You know so it's going to be. It's going to be interesting. I think he's definitely a guy that you're still going to want to draft amy harris. I mean he he. He showed flashes last year. And i definitely do think he could be a solid rb to but i think he's really going to have to. You know take grip on that lead running back role and tried to run with it. And if he does if he's able to you know be the lead running back on this team. Then he is definitely going to be a solid rb to but i think for right now. He's kind of a guy that you know maybe flex spot again. Depending on how deep your league is obviously but he's definitely a guy that you can have on your bench. Of course i. I really do think that that's as of right now. And of course if he like. I said if he takes over that lead running back roll like it seems like he can then use a guy that could possibly be in your starting line because the patriots do love the love to run the football so yeah deeming harrison ex player in my mock draft then after that. I have the kicker for the baltimore ravens. Justin tucker guys still insane He's definitely a guy that you would want to have as your kicker fantasy definitely one of the top kickers if you know if you wanna go ahead and get a kick her a little bit earlier but yeah i mean he's insane again. I'm kind of biased. I just love butter. So i'm always like going to try to get him but justin tucker still a really good kicker and if he's available obviously you don't wanna you don't wanna be that guy that takes defense i in your draft. You don't wanna be that guy who takes a kicker i in your drafts until you absolutely know that you can because you want to build your team first and then you worry about your kickers. Your defense is all that you know. Because i mean listen. I love butter. But you know. I'm not gonna go get him when i still gotta fill out my bench. 'cause there's still some you know decent players that you want to have on your team but you know tucker's just another guy that you know if you get to that point where you need to draft the kicker he somebody that you're going to want to get if he is available to you so then moving on to the next pick in my mock draft. I have the kicker for the atlanta falcons young way coup definitely had a really good season last year. And he's another guy that if he's available and you're at that point where you need to kick her. He's a guy that you're going to want to get because also the falcons are going to score a lot of points. The same thing justin tucker the ravens are going to score a lot of points to you. Know maybe it's not gonna be as it's not going to be like the chiefs offense of course because they have a different style of play but you know they're going to have. They're going to be a team that scores a lot of points. And also you know the defense is gonna turn the ball over for them the ravens and yes. That's going to be another way. They're going to get points as well. They're gonna have short fields and tucker is going to be able to you know. Get some more points out of that young cool. It's kind of the same thing. With with. Bought gary falcons argument to score a lot of points as much as they are a bad defensive team their offense is still really good even without julio jones so i think because of that they are going to score points and they're going to put him in good positions young way. Who you know to get. you know. Some points for himself As long as they don't score touchdowns too i mean. Yeah the falcons are going to score points. But obviously you'd want young way coup to you know get field goals and not extra points for his points of course in fantasy but yeah he's another guy same thing with tucker and butter if he's available to you and you the kicker he's a guy that you'd wanna get so then finally the last pick in my fantasy mock draft. I have the kicker for the buffalo bills tyler bass had a really great season. Last year was definitely up there as a top fantasy. Kicker and i do think that you know. He's a guy that you know if he's available to you'd wanna get them because the bills their high powered offense. They're going to score a lot of points. And he's another guy that if he's available to you go out and get them so to kind of do a recap of the final round of my mock drafts. Have your williams. Aj dylan darnold mooney. Jarvis landry justin fields harrison butter damian harris justin tucker young way coup and tyler bass to close it out. So that's it. that is my fantasy. Mock draft twelve rounds. "Feel like he could be so much better in fantasy between him and odell and it just doesn't happen they different. Listen both of those wide. Receivers definitely have their share of good games but not on a consistent basis. I mean you expect big things from these guys and they never they never you know. Get to that point where they are really consistent and fantasy and i feel like jarvis landry is a guy that is just going to be on your bench. I think this is around the time he's gonna get taken i. I do think that he will still be drafted. I think he is a good bench player and again like if you have an injury and you start him you know on or by week you know guys on your team have injuries or by week or something like that. And he's a guy that you have to plug into your lineup. There's a chance that hey listen. He could underperform but there's also a chance that he could pop offer just that one week and you know that's all that it takes you know but i don't know we're going to have to wait and see what jarvis landry. I think that you know the browns. Their offense is going to be really good. this year. I think bakers going to have a really good year and baker is going to spread the ball around. That's the other thing too. I don't think there's necessarily one wide receiver on the browns that is going to get all of the targets or you know a majority of them. I really think bakers going to spread the ball around. You know i think odell he's gonna have to reinsert him into the lineup again. You know so. There's a lot of. There's a lot of moving parts on the browns and they got a really good team. I think i think they're going to win the division this year. i really think that But jarvis landry. I just feel like you know if he was more consistent definitely is a guy that it'd be a little bit more higher on but i just i'm not very high on him just because of the lack of consistency that he brings to the table when it comes to fantasy so now moving on to the next pick in my mock draft. I have the quarterback for the chicago. Bears justin fields. Yes i have. Justin fields over andy dalton and i feel like people are going to jump and try to get justin fields because i think for the most part people know that eventually during the season this guy is going to start for this team and i think that is definitely going to happen at some point because we know what an who andy dalton is You know i think. Andy dalton is i really think. He's a solid backup. I do think he could start games. Of course. I just feel like now at this stage of his career. You know with all these young quarterbacks coming in and there's really not a lot of you know openings at quarterback on a lot of these seems maybe the washington football team when fitzpatrick you know is a one year thing. I i don't think fits patrick's really going to you know. Be there for that much longer. But you know we'll see depending on the year. He kind of your yasser washington if he does really well and he's consistent which. I don't think it's going to happen. Maybe washington keeps them around for another year until you know what. But we'll see. We'll see what happens with that but you know you really look around the league. I mean there's really no openings at quarterback you know there's really not i mean maybe you know maybe if the culture desperate and you know fields pans out maybe the colts trade for antidote because now with With whence being hurt you know. Or if i mean if eastern pans out then that's a different story. So there's just not a lot of openings at quarterback and i just feel like it's it's going to happen eventually. Andy dalton is not going to be the starter at some point during the year. So i think that's really going to affect where he gets draft where fields gets drafted. So field is going to get drafted at some point and you know again it depends on you know the kind of quarterback league you're doing if you're doing a one. Qb league or to qb league. I mean i.
