I thought we doing well so I'm really excited. That tyler is here not only because he just validates that James Likes me and and then tyler also told me he loved me on Saturday which was the highlight of the weekend. So everything's going great but what I want talk about. Today is really the mushroom trip that we went on Saturday. I am new to recreational drug use because I was in the military. Did we know this thank you did. Oh you're welcome from service. Yes thank you. Thank you Tyler Tyler. Also my battle buddy. Yeah we're battles Connects us. It's our life blood American warriors. Jesus Christ we recited the soldier's creed while we were no you did you did. It was a powerful moment. You did the whole thing was the power from. I'm pretty sure I shed a single tear reciting the silver screen. It was impressive. You were that she she was that deep zone. I was able to just pull that out. So let's go. Let's start the beginning. Okay so I wanNA start by saying. I have never done mushrooms until I met James and the first time we went out into the forest. I was like this. I'm like on the Bachelor. I felt like we were on a date and the bachelor just happened to have mushrooms He laid out a blanket. He started a fire. We had the dogs up there. It was beautiful fall. I mean it wasn't too cold but it was over and just the whole time was just him and me and it was very intimate and fun and exciting and a lot of laughing and and a lot of Well at one point we were making out like over the fire and then we took our clothes off then. These people drove by the national forest so publicly. No big deal you go. There they drove by James is trying to back out with my girlfriend and I was like. I'm not your girlfriend. Timid eighteen to me. That's the first time that was the first I I I I. Oh Gosh. And the foresee that's intimidating to me the idea of doing it with you to at at a house that was much more controlled from. Yeah I would have been and even though I love the outdoors but now it's you know it's cold winter time. I would have felt intimidated by the thought of doing that out. Outdoors I don't know was the first time you had ever done them. It's been a long time. It was with James and was on. Yeah I did much thousand Jeeps Ortho introduced to people such a bad influence. Yeah or the best influence doubt. That was How we must have been in high school at the time and wasn't near the level of I guess experience that you and I had do you think that was intense intense. I I did not get fucked up the first time. I'm pretty sure you like forced about a triple what I the first time which I feel like I need to also keep track of like the dosage so that I understand what kind of trip I'm GonNa have is that. Yeah yeah absolutely so I think just for caught nudie sake for this last trip. Yeah we each did Between three and four grams. It's okay. five grams is nicknamed a heroic dose. If I would have done more than that. I'm pretty sure I would have like because I I don't I don't know it would have been too much 'cause I mean. At one point Tyler's face was moving and Everything was moving so James. How did you get mushrooms? One was your first time sure so the first time taking mushrooms with was was with tyler. I believe we were in college as though because I went retards house and he was like. Hey I've got these mushrooms and it was just one or two to get them. You just happen to have caps it was maybe maybe a grams worth of mushrooms and we took those and then we got in the car and drove to Windstar which is the nearest Keno to Dallas and sits right. That's right it wasn't enough to actually trip. But it was enough to get the giggles so in my experience. A small dose of Mushrooms will give you the giggles and you'll just giggle for like an for hours So we drove to Windstar giggling the whole time we enter the casino. which are I? Don't know if y'all ED binney casinos the whole place is full of flashing lights of different colors. Ripe which for someone who's on a hallucinogenic fantastic asiatic walked around in. I think Tara played blackjack. That's kind of his thing We want a couple hundred bucks and then we went back to Dallas and I want to clarify that. The reason I feel comfortable talking about this topic I mean I think when I became an adult I did not realize realized how many people actually participate in recreational drugs Obviously we live in a place where marijuana is legal and most recently. They decriminalize decriminalized mushroom use in the city of Denver. It passed by less than two thousand votes to decriminalize it. which is how the legalization of marijuana I started as well? It started with the decriminalization of it So it's not illegal to well. I guess it's still illegal to possess it. That's what I was trying to read. He'd But people can't search like cops can't search for it on you And it's all about you know just like all ooh drug policy in the US Blah Blah Blah Blah right anyways. Oh God hit the microphone I'm sorry I'm sure it's the same amount like there's amount though that you're allowed to have right like you can't go over certain mouse so it's still against the legal but they're not allowed to dedicate police resources towards the pursuit of enforcing that law. Real is that makes sense. Yeah it says although it doesn't legalize the mushrooms. The ordinance would prohibit the city from spending resources to impose criminal penalties on those who have them. So it's no longer illegal but if they find it on you. They can't give you a ticket because that cost money to issue. Someone at ticket cost the taxpayers money. All of that stuff And I know people who who do them. I know people who who drop acid and they still have functioning lives. But I'm still learning about like what that could look like in my own life it. It was definitely really scary to go into the forest with some random dude and do mushrooms it so james is talked about microdosing before a few years ago. Actually before we even moved up here he introduced me. This idea of microdosing acid not not mushroom switch. That's a new idea as well. I've heard people a lot of my friends. Do them on on and off. Yeah and they they seem to have this notion that it actually helps them professionally Like relax or or I think creatively you know those type of things and I was never opened up to this world so it's like kind of blowing my mind like I'm still thinking about the things that we went through and to think about experiencing a drug like that and not forgetting the entire experience as well has recently been blowing my mind like when you drink you too much or even if even when I smoked much we'd like I'll be in as kind of and you'll forget some details of the evening or the day or whatever but I remember every part of our trip pretty much and I think that's why I like it so much because it was like. Wow you know this this and this happened so I don't know but first experience you enjoyed then so thousand first time. I'd taken mushrooms. The first time I tripped was on a three day. A Solo backpacking the different in the collegiate peaks. So the dogs. The difference is the difference between getting buzzed And getting blackout drunk You know you you understand how those things are similar but the escalation of it fundamentally changes the experience so taking mushrooms the first time with Tyler. I just got the giggles. It wasn't necessarily mind altering whereas when I tripped In the mountains. Yeah it was. It was fundamentally mind-altering to the extent that I tapped into a part of my subconscious launches. That wasn't wouldn't have been able to tap into Without that level of mushrooms and it also gave me some great hallucinations. Asians how different was it for you the to do it out in the mountains versus indoor. I felt a lot safer in the mountains to be honest. Yeah Yeah because I just like I really enjoy nature. I feel that my like my most genuine self in nature and where we took mushrooms. This time was very foreign to me like I'd only been there once we route. Someone's house and I was at first. I really freaked out about the different artwork that was around because I'm already Take in.

"The Broncos had their three game winning streak snapped with that twenty two fourteen loss at San Francisco last weekend. Denver is six and seven. The Browns are five seven and one in coming off a twenty six to twenty win. Over carolina. The voice of the Broncos. Dave Logan heads up the crew at Bronco stadium at mile high. Dave, we know the Browns have been worse than abysmal in recent decades. But these don't seem to be the same old Browns. Do they know they've they've got a good young nucleus of players Mike in Cleveland. And I think a lot of fans back there are really excited about this team in really what this team might look like at the end of this season. But even more importantly to them what it might look like moving forward as you mentioned. They're five seven and one the number one draft choice this past spring. Baker Mayfield is taken over quarterback and played very very well for a young guy. And so I'm sure they come into town expecting to win which ended up itself is pretty strange when you stop and think about how bad as you pointed out the Browns have been recently, but Broncos coming off a game in San Francisco that Hewlett to that they just did not play. Well, they were down twenty to nothing at halftime came back made it close couldn't get a stop at the end of the game with us. They lose. To a two and ten team at that time. Welcome my partners. Rick Lewis and Tyler Columbus here do Bronco stadium at mile high and Rick this is a game. When you look at it. These two teams are are pretty equal from statistics standpoint, everybody talks about the Broncos inability to score points, the Browns average pretty much exactly what the Broncos do. The one thing. Cleveland has done very well this year is take the football away. They are first in the league in fumble recoveries their second in overall takeaways with twenty eight and so they live by taking the ball away from their opponent. And that's one of the things that the Denver Broncos do as well in in throughout the the Broncos three game winning streak. They did that quite well, and it paid dividends for them. Yeah. I think you're right day. These teams do seem similar except the Cleveland Browns as you put it this week. Very wisely are playing with house money. They've got nothing to lose here tonight. If they win they they're still in the playoff hunt. Although their chances are are very very slim, but they look at this season as they've already won. This is already a successful football season for this team. And I think that's what makes them really dangerous here tonight. And I think we're gonna find a lot out about the Denver Broncos team and coaching staff here tonight to see how the bounce back from that embarrassing loss last week against the forty Niners. Tyler you look at the Browns defense good on the outside. I mean every single week. You get really good edge pass rushers. This'll be no different Myles Garrett in his second season. The first round pick of the Browns last year. He's got twelve and a half sacks ranks third in the National Football League. A big long tall athletic edge pass rusher. Yeah. He and he's going to be the best pass rusher that this offense of line is seen up to this point of the season. You know, they faced a bunch of good guys Bosa, but he wasn't quite in his prime yet. He was he was a little bit rusty the the things that Myles Garrett is doing. Are a really really special. He's right there at the top of the league. However, there's not a whole lot outside of that. They don't have a lot of Patras going on the on the other side of the line. They do have some stout guys on the interior Trevan Coley. I think he's a respectable player. I respect his game. But our off it's of line Garrett Bowles. Good luck. You got your hands full everybody else. I expect a good game yet. Well, hopefully, we can get a good game at a Garrett Bowles as well. Let me stay with you. Tyler Baker Mayfield, his his come on. You know, it was interesting to sort of see the draft play out. I think the Broncos did have interest in Baker Mayfield. But certainly unable to move up to the number one pick, but he has stepped in replacing tyrod Taylor and and looks like a kid in his second or third year. He really looks mature for a very young quarterback. Yeah. He does you know, it took me a while to figure out my opinion of Baker Mayfield. I like many others was unsure if I if his game was going to translate to the next. Level. However, the senior bowl really sold it for me. And I thought he was the best quarterback in the draft. Then I said I thought he would be he would have the easiest time transitioning early on in his career, and that's come to fruition. That's all been true. I think he's a very good player. You know, the last three or four weeks you'd be hard pressed to find a quarterback that's playing better than, you know, by the way, this is unrelated, but I gotta get it out there because this is crazy to me. But to Craven's and Shane Ray are expected to be healthy scratches today. Yeah. That's that's I'm sorry. If you already reported on that note, we did not. But that's that is a game. That's game changing news, right? There sounds. I don't know if there is some sort of incident or what? But boy, what are we gonna do? We don't even have a backup pass rusher. Now. I guess it's Jeff Hall in who's been an active the last couple of weeks. Yeah. Interesting. So what will confirm that story? But that is the news. We are getting from our Broncos insider, Mike Klis, Rick finally, Philip Lindsay thirty three yard. Away from one thousand yards rushing. It's it's been well chronicled his story an undrafted college free agent didn't get invited. The combine local kid went to south high school, then up to boulder university of Colorado. But what a story he has been this year for the Bronco. He got bottled up last week against the forty Niners. I'm also interested to see how he bounces back here today. He didn't have much running room last week. Now in the bay area is still leads the NFL in yards per carry. He's still is the talk of the National Football League. And hopefully, he has a good game here today. And I want to see rois Freeman get some more carries her today as well. It's going to be beautiful weather here on this Saturday evening in mid-december temperature gametime kick about fifty and even during the course of the game. We don't expect the temperature to drop much below thirty. So it is ideal for football. We'll take a look back at the last time. The Broncos played the Browns that was all the way back in two thousand fifteen we'll do that next on KOA Broncos radio network. We.

"How you doing this morning? I'm good, Richard. I'm on my way to the airport. I had to Jacksonville. Yeah. Jacksonville. And a lot was made of the heat down there. And the fact that you know, patriots other teams weren't used to playing in that he will there be a factor with the jets to you think. Cake. Game tightening. And there was a lot of the second half of that game. So definitely could be a factor. Humidity what you down there. No, no, nothing to watch. I think especially in the second half the game where? For a long time. Then I think certainly so last week. They couldn't score a touchdown in that nine six loss to the titans. You referenced. Tell us a little bit about that. And now they're getting a running back back, which is certainly gonna make the difference Petach a little bit about that jet airplane without Leonard fournette, and they also are down to the wind and they lost their tackle Robertson for the year. Right guard came to and I think you're gonna be back this week. You have a winner this week. So that hurt them. And then they just wait. Well, there was dropped houses way Bortles missile. Throws titans. Defense played pretty well in the game. So I would expect. Maybe a little more focused now this week. I probably dealing pretty good about themselves to the patriots. And maybe they came out of whack, you know, so, but I lost it. Eight. Yeah. And the jets have had ten days to prepare. And this is one of those games. You know, you look at schedules, and you're trying to figure out what they're doing. And this is a rebuilding year for the jets and all of that. But after that big victory in Detroit. The next two games were certainly big time letdowns for the jets. So do you think they bounce back with a better effort, even if it's not a win this weekend? Yeah. I mean, I don't really think ever I think. Baker Mayfield in that game night got run over there. The thing. I think you're looking for is can they play games? Do they keep him any game number? But the time they commit them the situation. Really dumb one quite grow. Al. You know, they they had their second league. Call start. Twelve starts in their own territory. And then they're inside there on twenty thirty drives a lot. So I think that's what you're looking for more clearly. The better team. They're favored. Contender. I think what you're looking for for the Kennedy cleaner game. Tailby dominate the big mistake quick as maybe. Yeah. And you're absolutely right about that whole field position situation because when you get a young quarterback, and you give him I in twenty on the ten. You know, I am. Not real likely, and you're just trying to get your Potter out of the end zone, basically there. So you really you really put yourself behind the eight ball there when you do something like that. And the jets. This is a discipline thing. And I think you and I talked about it last weekend. Whether it's coaching whether it's on the players in you know, the thing is we've seen a tendency with Todd Bowles teams to do that. And you know, six of one half dozen of the other. Yeah. To go around. Like, he got that. I last week. Obviously, it's been a problem. The last two years or so then the first eight years. And but there are certain players. It just keeps doing good. Cobra in Cleveland, but he's got a private counties clayborn had to in two weeks that we're very big point conversion last week. And yeah, third down against Miami. Where you've got called for holding so guys over and over and start to me. Ali. The problem with that. After figured out how to fix you've probably dressed this this week. But I didn't hear it Brian. But what about the comment about we weren't prepared for Baker Mayfield? And then walking back the next day. I mean was that basically a truthful comment that a coach would say well. He shouldn't have said that. It's not a good thing for the teammates or a good thing that reflects on the coaching staff. Do you believe it to be an accurate comment? I don't think you've already for Baker Mayfield. But I do I think they should have been ready for Baker Mayfield. Here's the thing. Backup quarterback. And you know now. The backup quarterback is Cody Kessler. How this week? Bortles. Yeah. I get it. I get bigger maybe have a higher profile. But there was no indication at the Brown. We're thinking of find him. And he's also. Tyrod bakers. I think you have to spend more time prepare for tyrod situation where according to me where. How the quarterback bring cavern against Iraq. Now like doing that right now with their backup quarterback bringing him on running plays. I'm not gonna kill the coaches for now prepare for Baker Mayfield. But basically saying is completely turn what maker Mako came in. And I think he's right. But I'm not quite sure what the jets could have done to prepare for him. Yeah. What are you doing watching Oklahoma smell? The same. Out. You know, I think we did a great thing for him all day. But I also don't think it's a huge. Yeah. And you make a good point because you know, you could say well at halftime. They kind of knew the Baker Mayfield was going to be the guy the rest of the way, but they did run the same place. So it's just a question of they ran the more effectively and more uptempo than they did with Tyler. Baker. Getting the ball out much faster than tyrod Makita. The key to the whole thing. The jets were getting really great pressure on Taylor. You couldn't get pressure on Baker. The ball out so quick. So I think that was the biggest problem. Yeah. And real interesting to see as as turned out with the two top draft picks number one and number three going up against each other. Let's dress something else. That's kind of. That's not kinda plugging the NFL now and that status clay Matthews hits and these hits on quarterbacks and all of that. I mean, there's the macho thing that hey, you know, way we're taking the game away it might as well be two handed touch side as well. We want to protect these quarterbacks because you lose a key guy as San Francisco did with Garoppolo that it really messes up everything here. How do you think they adjust to this? And you know, are they going to be a little bit more lenient toward the clay Matthews of the world. Are they going to stick to their guns here? Right now. I think at some point they gotta pull it back a little bit. It's not a new girl down a long time. But what they do every year. They call the point the call it a little different way. And this year they have to call this playing when a player has this bowler most of his body weight landing on the quarterback. They want that to be a penalty. I think they need to kind of scale it back reword it. But I don't know if you can do that in mainstream. I might be something have to address the off season. I feel like this is going to be our catch will this year. On the leaving with a helmet. Preseason really been an issue. This is the issue. And I think that they're going to be an issue all year and then next to March they're going to rewrite the rule, and even if they don't I mean, they can enforce it a little bit differently. And you know, some defensive players are saying, hey, we can get hurt in in trying to keep our body way from going on the quarterbacks we gotta do all these twists and turns and everything else and not necessarily good for our health. What are the guy William Hayes the dolphins this last week because he was trying to weigh off the quarterback? Car. This week who defended. We get it like after that point is made we will we'll adjust we have to adjust. But I don't think they're necessarily happy about it. Well, I mean, it is shift from the old mentality of knocked the opposing quarterback out of the game that gives you a better chance to win. And it seems that the NFL is making it very clear that no we want these quarterbacks in their take your shots when you can. But not not to knock them out of the game or hit them, particularly hard. Yeah. I think there's a difference between me driving the quarterback into the ground. And what clay Matthews? I like, I think as a viewer, you know, the difference. It's very difficult for the officials in real time do it. So maybe they have to have a replay components of this sort of like in the college games where they have the targeting rule and they can look at the replay. And make sure they got it. Right. Because I is a hard thing, you know, live action on the field. But you know, I think the NFL always joss and this will adjust to. I mean, if you think back to Richard like, Jack them days, those guys who takeout wide receivers. Total going across the middle. And you didn't really blink. If you saw that today, you expect because we've been edition to accept that. And the game has changed in that regard and heading wide receiver south bay. We get there with a quarterback to similar situation. But you look at these numbers that these offenses are putting up and. That's what I think. That's what you worry about the NFL the game. The game is changing drastically like offense is just out of control right now. And I think they got out maybe had to balance offense defense all of it again. Yup. Balances the key word, Brian. Thank you have a good trip down there. And we'll talk to you next weekend. All right, which sounds good. Thanks, okay. Brian Costello of the post Nelson guy for the New York Jets. And again a tough game jets, obviously not favored in this game. But. I dunno Jacksonville to me has a bit to prove even though they beat.

"So if you want to move up layer, there's a couple options. You can add a camera with facial recognition. So doorbell cameras, I actually have doorbell camera the nest that recognizes the people in my home and when they walk by it, they're like, Anna, just past the door, or you know, they say Anna's home, so, or they just say, NS at the door. So this is good. But if you don't have a camera in front of every door that your kids are gonna. Use this isn't going to work for you and that may include a subscription fee. I'm thinking nest aware it doesn't to where subscription fee ten bucks a month. Another option is you just have a camera in like facing the front area or an area that your kids have to pass through and you'll get the same sort of information read, you'll get a notification that movement has been detected, and you can then go back into the nest app and look and see what the movement was, and therefore you could then see who is it in which way are they going into round, etcetera? Slightly more proactive options include the lighthouse camera where you can say, tell me if you see my kids which is kind of fun, but it's pricey and that actually has a subscription. And if you're worried about like your kids sneaking out, we're trying to figure out what exact every possible that makes about your kids sneaking out. My assumption is you're gonna want to install something on their phone that's going to be GIO fence to your location or your wifi network because they're not going to leave without their phone. Right? I actually have the canary system which you can find now on some decent discounts. Quite honestly. I think I paid one seventy nine or one ninety nine for the base camera and one extension camera because I got it free. Bucks. There you go. So again, not free, but not too expensive either. And it's a home security camera system. It also measures air quality in your home, but it also does the geofencing four, you as long as everyone in the family has the canary app installed and they actually want that installed and I'll tell you why. Because when they come home, if the alarm is active on the canary, they can disable it on their phone before they walk in the door. Otherwise you may have a siren go off where you may have a police get called by the canary system. So we have the geofencing at setup. So every time somebody in my home leaves the geofencing or arrives at literally get a notification on my apple watt and on my phone that so and so is home so and so has left. So that's exactly what you want Mark. And again, there's a cost and there's a subscription. It's nine ninety nine a month I pay for, I think the two cameras, but it has the geofencing which is probably the best way to go. If you don't mind spend a little money, there you go. So Mark lots options, many options for you. Various price ranges, and I'm sure actually there are others that we didn't even her. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I would try the free options more. They may work for you in which case, you know, you don't have to spend an extra money, so good luck and now stay tuned for our guest who is Tyler Baker, the CTO at foundries dot IO, which is a new company that's launching with a an IOT security platform.
