"But generally as i'm sure you you know you're gonna bring up is into divisional rivals don't necessarily trade not necessarily but you know you still wanna make your team better and right. I don't think trading merrill kelly something that the d-box you're going to the day they traded merrill. I think they could do that. Still get a solid piece back from a very deep padre system and if anything the padres would be like dat. We traded this young guy who who ended up being studied for them. So they could do that. I think they try to avoid injury division. But if you have to you have to do it. I think this next guy. I watch too much of him. This year i was brought in mike minor coming in i was too and i really thought we were gonna see something and the skills have still been there for the most part this year but he has a five forty five. Era and part of it. I mean he's allowed. The most earned runs in baseball and been home runs. That have really done a one point. Four rate has been terrible. You look at underlying skills like why are you so terrible. He has a four twenty-five sierra which is perfectly useful. But as far as one point two runs higher and i look at somebody who was wildly inconsistent seemingly from start to start inning to inning his arsenal fails or succeeds for him and he just has not been able to find his footing. And now we're going on a second year of this fifty six and two thirds last year same type of deal for twenty sierra five six era. What's going on with mike minor and is it just something where his inconsistency and the fact that his home runs are the big damage on him. Make it so that he has this wide. Era and sierra or whatever era indicator of your choice he has this wide gap is that is on. His promise is just home runs or is there more to it with minor. Minor is just frustrating on so many levels We saw kind of in in the spring that he was at ninety to ninety four now this year ninety and change and sometimes ninety one really hovering ninety one not the same with that fast. Just not nearly as good of a pitch now. There have been times when he does succeed in season. And when that happens it's because he's able to go around the edges with fastballs and then get his change slider working for strikes but you know compared to last year Thirty six percents w on his changeup last season for minor twenty-seven percent this year is taking a major step back inside the zone. He's tried to really too much on getting chases outside the zone without pitch and it's he just doesn't have a good strike getting offering now. Nothing's above thirty five percent in his secondary's while he needs then third too many vassals in the zone he gets hammered with it. And it's just not a fun site at the moment. I think there are moments that minor can do well. But if i'm looking for potential guys to trust on for august september. Mike minors not. I think this ends up. Being a fit would be teams. That need not somebody that has to rely upon him as like not a savior. Somebody that they're going to need to go to every day. So i think it would be going back to looking at those teams that just needs some depth and they may be throw him in the pen when they stabilized so maybe the mets are fit here where they use him for a little while right now and then as they get their pieces back. He's been in the pen before and been great. So maybe they would say we're going to pivot you back into the bullpen. Once our guys are fully healthy. So i think it's going to be the teams that are just looking to improve around the edges. And maybe maybe that isn't giants fit. Then if we're talking about somebody who would be cheap not really cost anything and doesn't have to start. Maybe that's what they go for. Although i will say he has a nine million dollar contract for next year to pay that the giants have fixed some guys though exactly their home. Location is fixed guy. That could be really really interesting to see so that i liked that call out there and maybe they see something in him. Where like hey if we do this this and this we get him fixed. I don't know all right. We're we finally jumped down another level from kelley to minor. So we're in this this bottom tier now of against supplemental guys. But i think tyler anderson from pittsburgh could be another one of those guys that somebody gets and they don't have to necessarily go to them all the way but they need some innings to get to the finish line and he can be part of those innings. He's shown flashes this year at the beginning of the year. He was doing some things differently. That i thought were legitimate and i was pretty intrigued by him. Frankly i should have put above minor. His results have been markedly better But that's neither here nor there. He's also rental. You won't cost anything. Is the left tyler anderson. Somebody that you can see helping a playoff team at least get to the regular season finish line. Even if he's not necessarily a playoff piece for them sir. I i mean just just to put this out there. The reason we had minor above taylor anderson's because he showed a ceiling that anderson couldn't reach exactly the higher the better fastball in the spring. They just didn't show up and the season now so it's understandable that we would have minor head of him i but yeah i mean. Tell anderson toby that that's a useful thing in the real world when you have a one nineteen web. I i could. Yeah a lot of these teams that we've mentioned already The padres i. I can think of Bluejays could use another just someone that isn't anything and that's their back end just to get six regular even see the yankees getting him because they've had to turn to bullpen games every so often they don't want to go to michael king again tolerance. It would be helpful. And he's a guy that has a thirty two percents is w on that four seamer has a slider that comes in gets a good amount of strikes. You know zone about sixty one percent of the time of the seventy four percent strike rate. That's kind of crazy. Slider normally you see in the fifties or so if sometimes a sixty s seventy five is just as wild Changeup is in and out. There are times when that becomes the whiff pitch and a game more times than not. It's it's just kind of their randomly when that pitches working and he gets strikes with slider. And that establishes was fast. It's really really wanted to flouting. But that's about a coin. Flip if you're going to see that in a given start so there are some good aspects of tyler anderson. Put him with the right club. I mean you can have a nice run for them if they acquire the deadline looking at anderson. We'll say you know there. There's a little bit of a home road split because he does play blame. Pnc but i see a one twenty four wit a one point six whip on the road with actually a better strikeout right and it tells me that the five forty era might not be indicative of who he is sure. I went in the lean too heavily. It might be a symbol similarity to what you brought up with gibson where it happens that his two worst starts are on the road at atlanta and washington. It's not indicative that he's getting pummeled on the road. Every time out so don't make too much of that. I do think if he goes to a better team in fantasy that it would help him at least Get better winds potential. Because obviously seem way better than pittsburgh. So if you're chasing wins and you can afford four forty era type. If you're in a deeper league anderson would be a guy for you whereas you know something's other guys might have their era improve along with the wins You know like the whip is still can always good. Yeah it's already good so if you can even if you not the ra might not be so good and you need with and wins tile anderson..

"Don't you know he found off? I think five pitches he kept. He kept staring him down until he couldn't find his pitching. So we walked. You know, on a day where a writing hitter A pity he did to right field off the wall, which not many writers ready hitters. Do you know that was forgotten? Just because how impressive that that that was Baseball is such a fragile game mark such as with us, Of course, Adama's well, It's such a fragile game. You go two or three days and you think you're on top of the world and you lose two or three and Ah It's trouble Have. Where are we with this ball club? Have we turned the corner? Mark? Have we turned the corner? I'm not sure we turned the corner. I think they're making progress. You know, we've seen Batts look great against lefties. I'd like to see him look a little bit better against righties. We've seen the bullpen stabilized a little bit, but you know, it's It's a few guys that there Beginning to depend on but they don't have the depth that they would like. Starting pitching has looked better, and they've got given more trucks in it. On the other hand, you know, in a week. It's Kevin Dolphins. They're gonna be here. Just marches out. "When it comes to usage of the bullpen. Is that a collaborative effort between you guys in the front office and the dugout or is that all? Is that all present all Kappler and his his lieutenant's coming up with how they want to use guys on a game in game out basis, or just over the course of a series. Yeah, it's obviously driven by the clubhouse driven by a cap on Drew Bailey thing. Kat Craig Albert as Ah, Who's our bullpen coach who obviously knows the relievers really well, and we have conversations. You know, every once in a while, you know, sometimes daily, but not necessarily just kind of going through. I know what relievers you know the staff like in what parts of the opposing line up and you know what we can expect from our starter on that day, just kind of get on the same day. It's really not like map out a strategy for that game. It's just more to make sure nobody's missing anything, and we're just kind of on the same page. In terms of you know how how we see the roles on the team evolving. You know, you have a game like yesterday and Tyler Anderson threw a great game for us. We're all really excited about it. That was more of a medical situation where you've got a guy 20 innings to the Big league Last year you had a major knee surgery pitch for us on Sunday hadn't There are more than 50 pitches in a game this year and so hadn't really done in a while. And he was on a pretty strict pitch count. As a result, 65 70 pitches and believe me, you know when, when you're in the game shoes and you have a guy dealing like that, In course field The left you want to do is take Get out of the game, so that was a tough but you know, the thing that AH, gave in the staff are having a layer on is we had a short spring training. We've got quite a few pictures on the staff who were coming off. Serious injuries and you know that That's just an added complication in reality that we have to deal with right now. A rub some dirt on it. Let's go. Let's get you out. Hello. We've been talking about the shift a little bit and what we mean Some of us don't like it. We get why it's done. And I think numbers probably Suggest there's a reason behind. That's why ever he does it, so we get that. Ah, but the one thing I don't get is the shift. That takes you out of a possible double play with a guy on first base where it's hitting a situation where it's at right at a guy and that guy still can't make a double play because the other guys out of position or he's too far away. From the bag. Help help me understand that where the ship comes into play. Is it just about getting the one out and maybe, but not really having a great expectation? Of getting too out because that one's frustrating inside this. You guys, I see it around baseball. Yeah, all the time. I'm like, Double play ball, man. They barely got one out. So I'm just I'm just curious who The rationale was the thinking behind that? Yeah, I think that's the one area of defensive positioning and shifting in the infield. I'm not sure the industry has a great grasp on because to your point. It's really easy to say. Where did this guy hit the ball? And I think there's a little bit of a misconception about that. Where it's all just about the hitter. Spray charts. I mean, People and not just us, but teams around baseball gun pretty sophisticated at, you know, combining the hitter Spray Char and the pictures Spray chart. So it's not just that I know this is This is where a hitter you know it's a ball against a right handed pitcher and look and nothing is 100% so you could have a left handed hitter who's pretty pull heavy against a right handed pitcher, and he accused went off and it will feel everybody's wondering. Whiner. He played it that way. But you know, over time. I think we feel good about our defense positioning, but the double play and you know the loss double plays. You know, we've done a lot of work on it. We still think it makes sense to try to get the out. But look, it's doubly painful. You know, I have no pun intended there. But when you lose to, you know, sometimes you want out. Sometimes you don't get any You know when a ball was was a tailor made double play, so I know the psychological cost of that is big and it's probably not something overlook. Um, but again, it is about playing the percentages, which over 162 game season, You know, we're going to play out over a 60 game season. I guess it's a little noisier. Um, but but the double play stuff. I think some of it is Your own players getting used to the positions on the field where they are because, you know, I think another thing that seems to happen is You know, guys in a position where, In theory, there's still a possibility of turning a double play. But because there is not used to where they are on the field, you are unable to turn and that's not their fault. Just getting comfortable with it. Got it for hands. I'd be joining us here on KNBR, the sports leader. Let's talk about what's good with you guys. This is something you didn't have. The last time you were in l A where you had starters that have gotten some innings and they were starting to feel good about themselves. I mean, all your guys went At least five couple of him when you know a little bit Mohr, you know, five and change but going to course field and your starters not getting eaten up, and therefore your bullpen evident. Do Extra work on top of the work. They're already doing, Cueto, Gausman Web and Anderson. I mean, those four days when Aaron did a pretty admirable job under the circumstances because Iraqi squad can hit They did, and, you know, I think the everybody feels a little bit disappointed with the results. You look back on the Rocky Siri's and feel like you know, either the first game or the last game. You know those games were both kind of there for the taking. You'd like. Taking one of those games and gotten out of there with a split, but unfortunately didn't happen. You know, we again didn't play great defense Had you know some some issues with a pen and wound up losing both those games. But to your point, I think we're starting to create the momentum. You're right. We had all these guys got at least five innings. We've got sharp taking the mound tonight and hopefully you get Ah, you know, ah, kind of 56 plus innings out of him on. But you know that just makes everything flow a lot easier in terms of the past or not having use for five guys and and you know, for us to get on a roll. You're absolutely right. That that's what we need. We need to start getting comfortable on. No. You get in that range where you're getting six innings a night out of them and just lessening the strain on the pen, And it gives you a chance to use your best relievers in those high lover situation Now have it takes 10 too much into deeper parts of the pen. So being that this is a 60 game season and we're already 10 games in. It seems weird to say this 50 games left now. Ah, you said 46. How important is it? It does not get buried in the next six games. You go to Houston for three Dodgers for three. Mean how important is it to just kind of just stay afloat? Stay alive. That's why the last the last game forum, which is the killer, because that would bring you back to 500 okay, we're 500 into the Dodgers. And the Astros, But it seems to me this six game stretches. Really. I mean, I guess they're all critical because it.

"Right now. And the Broncos still doing off season. They are grinding throw TA's cornerback Chris Harris, junior knocked taking part. Of course. Our Broncos insider, Mike Klis says he thinks the chances are about fifty fifty the two sides. Get something done on a reworked contract for this year. Let's hope. So Rockies get a big win beat the pirates nine three seven innings pitched for John gray who gets the win. First time all year that rocky starters have gone seven or more innings in consecutive starts are Rockies insider at Henderson things. The rotation could be getting on track. I think we see hints of it. Mike certainly, you know, John gray was was a bit of a barometer there. Because I think her mom we saw, you know, a fair amount from last year. Where kind of established him as a as a go to guy in the rotation. We there was some question marks. But I think John's answering those this year, you know, you, you still have a couple of starts if he obviously, Iraqis having to figure out what to do with that whole with Tyler Anderson's, you know, departure but, you know, I think so Mike, I think, you know there are some positive signs and obviously, as you finish up this road trip and start at ten game homestand. It's going to be important because they've got to do well in this next homes handy, the inconsistency at home has got to go. Well, that's not gonna work when you're when you're nine and ten at home, or excuse me nine eleven. That's just not acceptable and teams dominate here. So they need good pitching order be able to do it. Let's hope this gives the using the the, the fuel to get moving. Are we starting to see the beginning of better times for Daniel Murphy at the plate? I think so. I think it was just a matter of time Mike before, you know, e- found his rhythm he found is, is comfort zone and started hitting I think the injury, obviously, especially to the hand and people don't realize that, you know, hand injury to a ball player can be as devastating as anything, you know out there. So I think with Daniel, it was just a matter of time being able to find him shelf at the plate again, get comfortable, get settled into a rhythm. And I think he's, he's shown scientists he's there. What has been the difference authencity in Tony Walters? He's been amazing. I give a lot of credit to that guy spoken of bud black about him before. And I you know, give Tony the credit Mike he's worked as but off. I mean, you, you look at the guy last year and what was the thing. People are we saying, well, he's good defensively, but, but not enough. "Nationals. Hi, everybody, Jack Corgan along with Jerry, Schimmel producer engineer. Jesse thomas? Doug Niemeier at master control. The Rockies have won their first home series of the year taking three of four from the Phillies. Now the nationals in a team in which they've been a playoff contender over the last almost a decade, Jerry at the Rockies continued f- success against them. Do it's kind of like Philadelphia that maybe not the team that the Washington nationals have had Philadelphia, but the Rockies have played well against the team. That was just here. They have success against Washington both here and on the road. So you're right. It's a very good Washington team. I think Jackie right. Thank you. Everybody's looking at them and Bob black. We'll talk about it as a playoff contender again in two thousand nineteen got a few guys dinged up right now. But this is. A very good lineup in a wonderful rotation. Speaking of dinged up the Rockies will not have Kyle Freeland available for his start tomorrow. He has gone on the injury list. But it doesn't sound as bad as that announcement exactly you can backdate the day after his last start. So he doesn't have to sit out all that long. But but blacks address that as well Jack coming up, and he said, he doesn't think it's a big deal. But it might be time to settle that finger down let it he'll let it completely get to where it's normal and then get Kyle back out there. Hopefully, coding demand that just one start that he will miss so good news that way that he should be back soon. Bad news. Of course, is the fact that he is on the injury list. Rockies will get Tyler Anderson on the mound tonight coming off of the I L and hoping to find some success that has alluded him so far. It's I two starts were really rough for him and had the issue and he's back now and says that he is not given any trouble for week and a half. Now. Oh, so that's good news for Tyler Anderson. One thing we keep in mind. Jackie always seems to pitch well at home as one of the best ER as in franchise history for pitchers that have thrown that many innings here, of course, feel the Rockies in the Washington nationals were gonna take our first break here when we come back. We'll visit with one of the Rockies relief corps. Carlos Steph is will join us. Stay with us on the KOA Rockies radio network here. Thursday.

"And we will talk with the Tracy wrinkles be coming up here very shortly. If you want to jump on board, then you can do that. Let's do are down on the farm report before I get to that. I did go back and look. I threw it out there. Just because I know the name, and I knew he hadn't thrown and double checked April sixteenth is when Jeff hopping last through didn't for a while. Took a loss in that one and handed up going just four innings and gave up ten runs at ten hits couple of walks a couple of strikeouts. Maybe not the time to bring Jeff popping up. And I don't know if we're going to see him member he was left off the roster back into the season last year. They expanded roster today bring hopping up so you know, he's kind of he's been up and down his last three starts. He hasn't pitched more than four innings. So I know that it was a possibility maybe they roll humane here as a bullpen guy, potentially. When all of a sudden you get guys that were going down for the Rockies early on in the season. But he wasn't going to make the major league roster coming out of camp, certainly did not, and I and he is not an option. So it's looking more and more like it's probably going to be Tyler Anderson. We'll we'll get confirmed later on it will certainly find out by tomorrow or I mean, but blacks gonna fill out the lineup card at some point. And you gotta have guys that no. You're going to be ready to Anderson is good. Then that's who were probably end up seeing. "Love to see the bunting out. Of course. It's dark here. Chris field with the lights are test on the field right now. It looks pristine. We're gonna be talking to the groundskeeper, of course, as we do every year little bit later in the morning. Yeah. The grass looks fantastic right now as we get you ready for opening day. Just a lot of history with this a lot of things to cover a lot of things to talk about. And and you know, this again, it's like an unofficial holiday you get excited the Rockies coming in getting at least one win in the last three over Tampa Bay. They've turns out to be a pretty good team. Yeah. Mike, don't you think that helps have a little bit of momentum? They've they met the freight train. That is Tampa Bay this year. They're unbelievable. I was even driving in this morning. The national folks are all talking about Tampa Bay. They talk a lot about the east coast teams. There's totally an east coast buys, but that's probably a topic for another day. Hopefully, the Rockies can make them talk about talk about west coast team. You know, everybody talks about a winner. And I think there's truth to that. I mean, two straight playoff appearances. So they're getting to where they want to be. But I think it's really cool that the guys were talking. Thing you know, World Series like they now nobody's guaranteeing anything. But that's the goal. And I think they feel like it's realistic to make a run at that. And you can't guarantee anything after six months of baseball. You got to be playing well and all the rest, but hey, why not the right components? I think so I mean when you have free Linden Mark is at the top of the rotation. That's certainly a really good start. There's no doubt about that. I think there was some great signaling about getting buddy bucks signed for long-term deal Nolan aeronautic. I think the shows people for years, I don't have to tell you this Mike always talked about where's the commitment from the Rockies and the organization, oh, they're committed. And I think they've shown that. But the investment they've made with the team in this ball. I think it goes beyond money. I really do. I mean, you look at continuity, and in what Mark Wylie's done is the director pitching now that he's been here four or five years, and it's not just what happens at the big league level. It's having continuity from you know, throughout the whole farm system. Low minors rookie ball all the way up to AAA in the big league club when you have everybody on the same page or at least trying. Be on the same page. They know where the pages says. Yeah. And when you have a philosophy of how you wanna develop pitchers, and how you want your position players to develop in the coaches at every level or sort of buying into that. And and going along with that. And then implementing that also you you and then Bill Schmidt and what his guys are doing in the scouting department. I mean, you you start to see an organization that that has turned the corner. Hopefully time will tell into one of the one of the better major league franchises in ultimately guys. That's borne out on the field at the big league level. You win. You get to the playoffs. Make runs that divisional titles and penance and all the rest. That's where that's where people say. All right. They've arrived there. Legit. You talk about the expectations being set, you know, about getting back to the playoffs this year that we can get the division. Is there? This is the year as things escalate you say, okay this year, we may be at least win the last year. They were right. I mean they had a play in game, right? Yeah. So why not I mean can Kyle Freeland continue to be cow freely with Mark is off to an unbelievable start. I think when it comes to pitching, I think one of the big keys is John gray. If he can lockdown. I mean as the third I mean, he's technically the fourth starter right now, if he can be who I think everybody thinks John gray can be we've seen glimpses of seeing glimpses and the stuff is there can can mentally. He get it figured out. Can he be consistent and kind of tap into that regularly? If so you've got a lot more than a third starter in the third starter position today, it's all about Tyler Anderson. It is about Tyler Anderson is the Rockies get home schedule started. Here course field dodgers in town opening the series today. Rockies three and four after starting the year at Miami. And Tampa Bay today. It'll be left-hander Tyler Anderson towing the rubber as a team, we're we're excited places. We've been in Tampa, they don't they don't drop by Horsfield does fans. You know, we have the greatest fan can't seem all play. In front of them for home game. So another we're all excited about that. We went one on one with Tyler you'll hear portions that interview throughout the show, and you can catch the whole interview right there on the KOA NewsRadio Facebook page dodgers, go with Kim to my ADA LA is five and two should be fun, Jack, Jerry and Jesse have the coverage starting at one thirty. And of course, KOA will be here, of course, field all morning and after noon long and after the game on Rockies. "Hundred thrown fantastic page. I just don't see enough from that fastball to really make me believe in them. It's it's pretty weak offering. I actually even sell fifty percent zone in not enough chases the play to justify it. So it makes me bit hesitant. I don't think those two second pitches are enough. But yes, completely right? He is intriguing. I think given credit there. We did talk about remember the remember that so keep keep an eye on him point two years old Hymie Berea out in LA moving on here to one sixteen through one twenty CC Sobat. The Joe Ross Tyler Anderson Brad, Kellyanne, we talked about Derek, Colin. So anybody in that one sixteen to one nineteen quartet that you like, oh, man. Joe Ross's hilarious. I I remember being so enamored with him like two thousand fifteen he was singer guy with a slight or those so filthy. And then Tommy John and everything just went south, and I do not trust us command whatsoever. This point ceases about the Mike at some quality innings if you were trying to e some innings in a league in also maybe some get some cheap wins. I'm cool that I don't think he's. Is gonna be as effective as he hasn't been the past Bush should be four era of one hundred fifty innings that can be pretty useful Tyler Anderson. That's the intriguing one to me because he has a really a twelve plus percents wings strike rate. I know spor that's good at this point. It is really good. I mean, you know, he's obviously got cooler saying overhead, but as we've talked about throughout with these guys that are going so deep that stuff built into the price. So it's like, yeah. You point that out? He's actually shown some success there at times now not last year, but in in previous seasons, he's kind of intriguing and if you could spot start him, I think that there's there's some definite interest to be had with Taiwan into some surprise. He's so low as the market shifts to being open to Colorado guys. I'm surprised that. He Tyler Anderson was pushed all the way down to pick four twenty one. So there's gonna be said about that. Well, be going after. No. But I would say he should be going over Joe Ross at the very least. Yeah. Joe Ross is like one. Those that almost in the Carl's for non category where I I like him from a far I could see him being successful. But it's not gonna be on any teams. Just not gonna take them at this point until I see something. All right, finishing one twenty one to twenty five Danny cells are Danny Duffy, Lance Lynn, Seth Lugo. Wade leblanc. I'll just put in my two cents for south Lugo he has to get an opportunity in the rotation. And that's why definite should have included McCue because he's actually got a real line toward a starting job and Lugo doesn't and I included him. So that was my mistake on McHugh. But Lugo if he gets a look, I think even as a swingman where he's going to get pile up innings because he'll pitch multi relief outings and get a few starts. But I think he should be starting over Jason Vargas in that rotation. I really like south Lugo, what about you any of these five here that you like, yeah, I'm not a big fan of any of them. Danny Duffy surprisingly had a good run last year. And there's a chance that does work. Lance Lynn, no way, Seth Lugo, you definitely right? That he is intriguing. If he does get the rotation spot..

"Six forty eight P S his last four years in the big leagues. Seven fifteen opiates that two thousand fourteen where he slashed three fifteen three forty seven four ninety sure as hell looks like an outlier because we have nearly two thousand plate appearances since. Where he has been something like a barely average ballplayer. But I do think there's there's something interesting there. I do I I like the athletics. I like those guys that can play all around the field. This one was no. This was no surprise the cubs exercise their option on Jose can Tana. My question of guys since we obviously know this was going to happen. Have we seen the best of Jose can? Yes. Yeah. Because they're I mean, look since two thousand thirteen I believe he is made everyone starts thirty starts since since two thousand thirteen. Yeah. Was a two hundred eighty guy. All right. I don't know that he physically still has that in the tank, and I don't know that the game itself is going to lend itself or Lind him the opportunity to be that sort of horse that really put him on the map, and you wonder if can tone. It is a guy who by virtue of not getting that workload doesn't become or doesn't give you those numbers at the end of the year. So if somebody who is, you know, just destined to be one hundred fifty inning guy from here on out because of the way the bullpens and stuff are going to go or you going to be getting your best can at that point. I'd I don't know. I I'm going to say. I think we've seen his best season. But I don't think that we've seen his last two hundred innings season because he hasn't been the same guy since he's been with the cubs. I mean, he hasn't even really been remotely close to the same guy that he was with the White Sox. I think we've seen his best statistical season. I don't think that we've seen his last two hundred inning season. I don't think that we've seen his last sub for ERA season. See I tell you right now jured I don't think he'll sniff another two hundred season as long as he's in the NFL. I really don't why didn't you expect him to sort of take the neck that next step when he absolutely yeah. Yes. There's will go ahead. Jay. I'll know I he's been a tremendous disappointment to be since he came like, I thought I like e was well, regarded meetings even more well regarded now, but like I thought that was a fair price to pay for a guy who to that point had. Thrown dallas's. The Dow comment four straight two hundred innings seasons with an ER a below three point five one or three point five one or lower in all four of those seasons in his two seasons with the clubs. He is he already basically four, and if you look at fielding independent pitching, which we all with he has fourth worst fielding independent pitching among NL qualified pitchers last year, Tehran Nova and Tyler Anderson with the only ones who had a higher..

"But at some point we've gotta get over the fact that the features pitching core skilled when they're pitching there on the regular. Once a guy start showing splits at home that are at least tenable for fantasy. I don't even care if it's the home road thing. It's just like it are the home. Split something you can live with for fantasy. I think certainly you have to consider using them and expecting that to be the norm. I think pictures do get used to pitching their if they're pitching there regularly and one of those more games, like you said, going forward at home vs on the road. I think it's even more likely that you'll get some momentum at home. So I'm not as afraid of a guy who's in Colorado and is used to Colorado. I definitely there's times where they're going to be useful. So to your point on with age on that Cal Freeland by the way to eighteen eerie and the home games this year, pretty impressive by him. Tyler Anderson, three sixty five. John raises four, five. Thirty eight but is pitching better lately and seventy three ks and fifty. Nine innings there. Her mom Mark has is the one who's been showing the very wide home road split. So this is encouraging the fact that he's doing this. Well with six quality starts over seven games during the span. I just mentioned doing the other thing, you know, let's face it strike out or strike out. It doesn't matter where you're playing. It's not like the cores factor of the, you know, the air being thinner and if they don't hit the ball, who cares. Surreal, rank the big four for me that I mean in the points league, especially I think that's where the Rockies have the best value here where you can just go for volume, where the negatives don't really hurt you as much as the whip in a in a rotisserie, rank the four from me, the gray Marquez, Freeland and Tyler Anderson. Yeah. I mean, gray would be my number one there. I'd say Marquez, second Anderson. Third, that's that's how I would go with them. They're last. I could get behind that. I'm a little concerned about what Anderson's been doing lately that I might put them fourth behind Freeland. I'd probably go back and forth between the two. But yeah, I would go that same order. I think grace grace, the guy to get at this point you got to get on board getting, you know, I'm gonna get fooled again here. Just watch. That's the thing. It's like, you know, there's not not a one of them do. I have confidence on a day in day out yet, but like I said, you know, especially, you know, you know, the support is going to be there. So if you're just looking, you know, if you're looking for wins and I know you don't chase wins, but Colorado pitcher at home used to the environment versus the guy coming in, maybe even a rookie for the first time in that environment, the run support should be there. And so if all you're doing is chasing wins, you have to hope that the ratios don't get blown up. So let's do some quick hits on some injuries here. Just a little updating on things. Mike trout with the wrist issue had a cortisone shot on Monday. The thought is he should be back by the week and often the cortisone shots take about three days or so give or take it can sometimes be quicker or a little bit later. We mentioned trout on the show on Monday, any update to concerns, encouragement for him based on a protective return. I do think that like I was saying before, like we're all playing now at this point because there's not a lot of time left in the season in terms of the regular season for for most fantasy league. You know, we said on Monday that if you're worried about trout, don't start him this week because it's an all around think thing and it might not be worth it. So I think in general going forward, I think just take everybody on a day by day and met play matchups even with the superstars because that's what we're down to at this point. Does he agreed with that? I look, it's a frustrating thing. I've got him in a league. I started on this week and I hate losing those games, but I did a just a little bit of my rankings accordingly..
