"Strong over the Predator line left wing down to cane left corner. Ends it behind the net around the shop that it high slot. The Keith the Cane and the Left Wing Circle Cane banks it back to Keith. Left point. Put it over top of the right circle, Dominant Kubelik with a drive safely. Don't scar. It's Dylan Strome as that rebound Karen off of Rene, straight up the slot. Strong was in perfect position to slap home the goal. It's a power play goal on the one Nothing harshly at the 2 15 dine Markstrom, second of the year. Both of them came on the power play. The other instance, came in that opener in which they lost 51. The Tampa Bay nearly two weeks ago two weeks ago tomorrow as a matter of fact, Andrew Shaw got the primary assist on a little backhand flip barely got his stick on the puck off the rebound of the blast from Dominic Kubelik, who is credited with the secondary assist. And that is all the scoring in the opening period. But once again the Blackhawks, now nine for 20 on the power play so far this season, and they have now set a new plateau for second best in franchise history to open the season. Seven consecutive games in which they have connected on the man advantage. The all time record is 11 straight out of the gate that back in the 90 91 season, and now the Predators on the penalty kill now four for their last 13. The good news for them is that they didn't take another penalty. Also good news for the Blackhawks. They wanted to stay away from the penalty box is well after five apiece, both in the Friday and Sunday wins over the Detroit Red Wings. They were perfect on Friday night, but gave up the only pair that they allowed overall on Sunday on the power play when Tyler Bertuzzi was able to convert on both of those black Hawks have been staying out of the box. So far, luckily to do so after that, Mad scrambled in the first period in which they were hemmed in for about a minute and a half, if not longer, as we mentioned earlier with Troy, the shots on goal 17 8 in favor of the Preds in that opening 20 minutes. Preds have also won 16 of the 29 draws or just a 45% win. Wait for the Blackhawks, who have also been credited with four hits and five blocked shots so far on this game. So once again black hawks with a one nothing lead to take into the second period against the Predators in Nashville. A Senate back down the hallways. We get ready for second period action once again, John, Wait a minute, Troy Murray. All right. Thank you very much, Chris. Yeah? Rest was talking about the 90 91 team. I know that you played on that team try. That's the team that won the president's trophy. And one out. Unfortunately.

"Known as lady will born here in mobile alabama. Thank you so much for coming back on. The show. Always love talking with you. Love talking with you. You're so informative. Now we're in covid. We're mardi gras season. And we can't have parades stinks. It really sucks followed it. Isn't that just plain sucks so tell me you know. I've been working a lot lately. So i haven't been watching the news. I've seen so much facebook though about yard guy. Yeah tell me what's going on a friend of mine. An server actually started website mobile porch parade. Gosh two weeks ago tomorrow. So it's been less than two weeks. She sent a note to a group of girls on instagram said. Hey i just started this thing. Check it out and so i did and then i said well. Do you have a facebook page. He goes no. I don't really do facebook us at girl you've got to have a facebook facebook page so <hes>. She's like well you do. And i was like sure and so. I basically set up a facebook page on wednesday morning and then all of a sudden to become the pr representative for this offer. That's what you do. And i love it and being downtown or living in the old neighborhoods and being a part of this community. I personally was very sad to not be able to participate mardi gras decorate for more to go. I was ready to just to put the christmas away and wait for summer. Yeah we were supposed to ride week before last dolphin allen so my husband and i have been in that organization since two thousand and five and so it sat everywhere i think the financial impact though is the saddest thing of all yes definitely. It's funny when the mayor of new orleans and the mayor mobile get into it about who. We are mardi gras started. We all know it started in mobile. Alabama does why and everybody sees it as a big party <hes>. By bills a little bit family. Friendlier there are no rules in new orleans right right but if you look past the party somebody interesting. The mobile mask <hes>. I was reading something he wrote in. He says it's not this year. That were really gonna feel the impact. The restaurants will the mars will <hes>. Do me mardi gras. Will you buy your throws and your beads in like in places like that. But the costume. Makers yes all right. They're not gonna fill it this year because because everybody pre-ordered and prepaid for this year and they'll just wear them next year. What are they going to do the next year. Getting ready right from there to the stores where they buy their supplies and the trickle down effect on the flight designers and all the artists involved. In that i mean they've as you say they were all set and ready to go for this year and basically put it on hold and they'll just run those next year so those flow designers won't have work for the next year. Will you got the designers. But how about all those people who make all the paper. Michelle on <hes>. <hes> it's hard for me to bill. Sorry for the beer and liquor people because people drinking more now than ever. I think they're okay except the bars and restaurants. Well you know i- adele. I have a friend that works at a downtown restaurant and she mentioned that in the weekend before mardi gras in a three day period they sell hundred thousand dollars worth of bush-whackers all a cow in three days. That's insane that is insane. One that there we drink that much but it's a lot of people that's a huge hit to them to not and that's just one item on the menu so imagine the the total impact of not having mardi gras this year. All right now the tips for the waitresses their hours cut back and people. Aren't you cut. Fifty percent capacity <hes>. The economic impact is huge. It's certainly huge this year. But i i'm with you. I think next year it's going to be even worse and <hes>. So that's why the ports parade has really been such a blessing in one way. We're able to give back so we've been able to encourage residents work with local builders local artists even the retail shops. Go spend your money in those retail shops as locally owned shops specifically and buy some new decorations mean for every <hes>. Little ball that you put on your front porch. I mean that means something to somebody so even if you spend ten dollars here and ten dollars there that's money that retailer didn't have. Oh yeah and their staff. Yeah bill for the staff to now. I've been saying since the beginning of this crazy stuff. I don't even know what to say. Anymore is look for opportunities. Said this is what this person did <hes>. Yeah basically. Suzanne was sitting around seeing all this talk and lamenting of no mardi gras and then did see <hes>. Will say new orleans kind of got started on the crew house floats before we did. He saw that and said whoa heck. We can do that too so she started the mobile porch parade dot com website and encouraging. Anyone everyone to decorate their front porch their front door their yard the house or business. Whatever it is doesn't matter just decorate and so that when you're riding around town you get the spirit of mardi gras and what i love about. It is. It's not just margaret downtown. Mobile or daphne. Or wherever or dauphin island it's everywhere it is everywhere you know so now you ride through. I'll tell you we have over. Three hundred houses have registered stacey. If i want to do this can. I still register technically

"Chris Plante show and it's Michael Palka spitting in from my friend Chris Plante today happy to be here, thrilled to be here, and I had to give a shout out to the Real Housewives of the flagship affiliate W. They're the ones who gave me the hip tip that Senator John Kennedy had used our our phrase here this week are category of the woke Olympics. And it happened twice in a five minute period last night, And because of the miracle of technology, I was able to go backwards on my IPhone and listen to it and record the audio and here, Senator Kennedy talkingabout the woke Olympics and you can make your nominations will be going over some of the nominations. Throughout the show. If you see something being done, of course, the Redskins are now perennially nominated because they're they're name changing activities. There are others that are out there that are going to be part of the woke Olympics and some of you have already nominated. But here is Senator Kennedy talking about it and also adding in even more wisdom. He's such a smart dude and puts it in language. All of us can understand. I think it's great that we're never in the country where the two Congress women have the right to say what they want, but we also have the right to disagree with him. I mean, there. I believe in free enterprise there Marxist. I believe in equal opportunity they believe in government guaranteed equal outcome. They don't believe in the second Amendment. I believe that love is the answer, but also on a handgun. Justin gets they hate cots just because their cause I don't They think most Americans are racist. I don't I'm proud of the fact that we passed 20 civil rights bills and amendments. It's a fundamental disagreement. And I don't think they're Bill will go very far. But, as I said, it's a serious effort to compete in the woke Olympics. The World Olympics has now gone National on television on Fox News last night. Thank you, Senator Kennedy. We appreciate it. Maybe we'll put your head on the metal. Maybe your head will be on top of the woke Olympics. Go gold medal today. We don't really have a medal. It exist in my brain. Many stories that we have to get to and and you're calls us well. Many, many stories. I was working on cutting up some old Don lemon audio last night when Tucker Carlson basically played the same clip, so we'll get to. That was kind of interesting. This Tom Friedman story out of The New York Times. The New York Times is trying to cover its tracks because of these stupid story. The stupid story was it almost two weeks ago two weeks ago tomorrow they came out with this fever dream that is unsubstantiated. As matter of fact, it's been debunked that Russia Has been offering bounties to the Taliban to kill American troops debunked And I'll get to it because the general in Centcom has also shot it down. Yes, I'm using military analogies. But But The New York Times now has a new story from opinion writer Tom Friedman, who says Joe Biden should not Debate Donald Trump, unless these two conditions are met, so we'll get into that We have a couple of calls. I don't want to miss out on some of the calls that so much great audio today. There is so much good bad Biden Audio today I almost feel like I should. I should just stop and say Thank you Prayer to God for giving us the great bad Biden Audio today, But let's check in with a couple of you on the phones. Robert in Maryland. Welcome to the Chris Plante Show. Good morning. You know, your Your last caller. He was hey, was mistaken. We are on the rescue helmet was brought to Washington D. C by Vince Lombardi with Vince Lombardi cane from Green Bay Packers back in the sixties. That's where that comes from that that that wasn't under Joe Gibbs. So he's mistaking on that. But, you know, we're talking about the People in the cities and the mayor's blob. Eo Baltimore, Chicago. You got to remember these people voted for this type of government. That's what they voted for. They've been doing it for 50 years or longer in all these cities. So you know the old saying, Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it. The people in New York have no complaint. That's what they asked for. Get bulletproof vest. That's all I can say to you. That's a good point. And by the way, New York City the height of Pettiness today, as de Blasio is permitting the start of painting black lives matter on Fifth Avenue. Right in front of Trump Tower. Now you tell me who has Trump Derangement syndrome. Who is living rent free in whose head right now, it sure feels like Donald Trump is living rent free and build the Blasio's head as we speak. Let's check in with Dave Online five in Silver Springs. Hello, Dave. Welcome to the Chris Blanche. Hi. Chris Opelika. Mike and Brian has the brilliant idea of West Virginia, You know, Use that vintage logo retro logo that are on the helmet. Just drop it D out of the name. Wait a minute. Drop the D. I'm writing this in the air are e dropped the D. Skins. Hey. No Indians, Reese kids, The Washington Reese, Michael. Thanks, man. You do a great job, man. You know, Chris is in trouble. No, no, no, He's not Christmas. Chris is he's so good. He's still good. I appreciate chance to be your thank you. Dae line one in Virginia isn't Hoke. I'm just looking at the name am I mispronouncing it. Welcome to the Chris Blanche. No, man. You got it just right. Hey, I'd like this. I'd like to see Dan Snyder hold a press conference. And what I'd like for him to say is Under no circumstances will I change the name of the Redskins? If you want the name change the team value right now. $3.2 billion. I will sell it to you for $4 billion you can do whatever you want. Yeah, that that sounds good and that that is the way our capitalist system is meant to work, However, the people that pay a whole bunch of money and cover a lot of his operating cause, Federal Express have said. You need to change the name or we're not going to be paying that money and nobody else apparently has stepped up and said will cover it. If you lose the money, and then the report that some of the minority owners have said you need to change the name or we are going to sell our interest. All of this is what's driving it because it was not sentiment. You know, we go back years and there's been a call to change it. So it's all money, money money. Driven and Yeah, go ahead of the minority. The minority owners, then are currently in the lead for the gold medal in the woke Olympics. You know that's a great nomination. Hoke. I'm giving you credit for that. The minority owners, I'm rightness down minority owners. Woke Olympics nominees. We have another nomination. I'll read a little bit later. The Woakes hoke nominates for awoke the minority interests very well down, sir. Thank you for your help. We appreciate his space checking in with Oscar in Maryland. Oscar Welcome to the Chris Blanche. Thank you. Because I obviously need a little bit of help. Having been educated in the Montgomery County schools. I can't quite figure this man if we're letting 25 positions disappear from the police. How is that saving $8 million to the math I used that's $320,000 per position. The cops get that much money. Don't think so. Help me with the math. I well, they might be counting. Here's where I'm going to go with this Oscar, because The salary is one thing, and then they might be factoring in long term pension benefits and contributions that must be made because if you hire an officer And you anticipate 20 to 25 years. There is a long term pension contribution, which has to be factored into what they call the unfunded liabilities. You can look at our national debt and are unfunded liabilities and where we're way over. What we should be right now. States like California, Illinois are prime examples of ticking time bombs in the financial world. But that may be it. But you're you're not ignorant. We should ask those questions. We should all stay. How is getting rid of 25 cops? Going to help Montgomery save millions of dollars to show your work. Please show your work..

"I advertise bill I can help you out with trust in awhile in a bad way all right I'll shoot for that well actually they're all great programs and yeah what what if you need you need some some face coverings we face coverings Bulmer naturals anyway look all you want to do is you want to play some golf and you fought long and hard to get golf courses opened up here in Massachusetts and I watch you from afar and at the time I said Gee I should give a call to get him on the show and for some reason one word you know one story led to another now you are fighting to get even something that I think is easier to open up dealing with golf tell us about it so assault of jump ahead were right we are today am I will say about you know ten days from now everything will be open and will be good and you won't you won't have to hear when you hear from me anymore read my stories but always read you stories you you're you are an accomplished guy and thank you love you and I share a lot of sports interest income and I think I know that yes so so I had written several stories was on Tucker Carlson on Friday night which spurred a lot I got I got a lot of you know notes and emails from around the country but it was one of particulars Amanda over it was a golf range of driving range in Andover called sekeping farms which is golf range an ice cream stand and so I said you know this is like on Sunday let me give me a day I gotta take this all and it's been a busy weekend busy week really so I I get up I talk to them on Monday what what's today by the way I'm I'm lost is this Wednesday all day long we still have on almost four hours left to listen I'm like this every day except Sunday feel like two days it's it's all over so I went down to see them legitimate story great beautiful driving range like thirty five bays the grass is it's three to four acres of well crap cropped grass and I I note in the story because I have a story coming tomorrow on the front page of the eagle Tribune of the gun range right beyond its the the end of the of the range and I'm hearing these pop pop pop they sell you that gun club just opened yesterday so they're all excited guns of flying night pops popping everywhere so I haven't talked to the family the sekian family they've owned that land for about a hundred years Sarkis Sarkissian he's the the the patriarch he was born in the house it was still there right next to the the ice cream shop in in the in the bays where the golf on the drivers and the coughing is and took they tell me the story and I I said I thought you got I personally because I I've been I've been dealing with this issue for now over a month and I figured that driving ranges were open and they were part of the quote unquote opening of golf courses and lo and behold they're not and so did a little bit you know we talk talk on it took me around and they basically said we we have tried we we called the effects accusing farms they called the Taliban or just they are ready to open because they figured they could open the difficult courses open so long the whole day call the county council Donald no no you're the you're a separate business here are like ice cream stand and your date you know different people touching clubs or balls or whatever so no they didn't allow them to open so that was two weeks ago two weeks ago tomorrow so so now it where were you know they're taking me down they show me the course to show me how they get the balls they pick them up the balls are picked up by machine or poured into this big sort of this big barrel and then there is bleach and water poured in whatever the cleaning solution is and then they poured into buckets and division said we don't touch the balls customers come in with a credit card and and they they pick up they did pick up their balls they go and they hit their hit them and you know that that the babies are separated by seven and a half feet six feet the the norm there seven athlete so there's no literally no human beings if you could literally go to arrange it not come within seven and a half feet of another person and you had a full day of practicing hitting golf balls so it got me thinking what's going on here so yes this bill because there may be some people in the audience and we're gonna take a quick break here but there may be some people in the audience who understand golf but they don't understand golf drive driving ranges and that's where people go to practice all right and it's a lot cheaper than going out and time consuming than going out and playing eighteen holes and you can go you can work in your woodworking the irons you you buy a bucket of balls you walk by yourself any issues you set up in one of those days nobody's Nexteer nobody's near you you could probably most people golfers again where at least one glove yeah I'm in it it seems to me that the the clean is the easiest place if you're gonna let golf courses open why not driving ranges it is a no brainer so let's just go with the whole issue is like in golf courses that backup be thinking over a month ago is why our courses open you know it what happened was you know all of a sudden I look in their thirty states that had open course I had opened their courses and then you know a week later got to forty and I start questioning people what what's up with Massachusetts well we're not ready yet we're gonna meet as a the device report and say well what the cool people it's it's socially disinfect I played golf my whole life you you walk or if your credit card you can ride a cart you wrote one person in a car you don't even go near anybody that they have things in place where the ball goes in the hole you left up a little ledge in the Balkans your ball comes out so this see the golf course things pretty close to this point I mean it's it's pretty open thank god I know a lot of friends of mine who would drive a Connecticut every day to play up to play golf back in in April when our courses will close let me do this but I want to pause for a break one of my colleagues to join us if you're a golfer or if you simply just enjoys the idea of going out and spending whatever it is ten Bucks for a bucket of balls and you know half an hour forty five minutes of hitting golf balls at the driving range why should you not be allowed that under these circumstances I have no idea who makes the rules I simply understand what the rules are when they come out so I'm hoping to hear from a bunch of golfers people who enjoy you know shop in their skills it's somewhat easy to sharpen your skills in a driving range and this of course at least that's been my experience and I've never shop and buy skills as a city today built when I play golf I have always socially distance slice the ball into the woods go to try to find the ball you know put the ball into the woods dockworker yeah yeah more of a slicer to be honest with you that's you know I like to call it a fade but when it goes out and makes a quick right turn is really not a fit but my guess is Billboard he fought to open up the golf courses in Massachusetts and for those of you who are out there playing golf you should thank bill Burt amongst others but thank bill Burke and now he's fighting to get driving range is open up they're supposed to be opened up when all with the other recreational facilities on on June eighth if I'm not mistaken is that correct yeah so I mean we're talking two good weeks here two and a half weeks still left of opportunities for people to go and and enjoy themselves simple as that you can wear a mask whatever you want do you like to join the conversation and if you think that we're crazy and and you think that driving ranges are inherently dangerous the only people who are in danger of driving range the guys who are who are up there driving the the little vehicles but they're all caged in so they they got nothing to worry about either six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine two nine ten thirty you golfers you need to say thank you to bill Burke coming back on my side side.

"And again, the NCAA that that's the mall of the coach today is how do you do in the NCAA tournament? But but consider this politics, look this up in the last five years Mike's been there eight years, these coaches all went to the NCAA tournament this year and they've owned in their list at their school less than five years or less, the Florida coach Auburn. Mississippi State, Mississippi and Tennessee, and they all came in within the last five years that's got to weigh on an Atlantic director and a fan base like Arkansas who's used to win. And all of a sudden, they're v c in IT. And Bill Maher getting into the NCAA tournament. While I finally and I've met him. And he seems like a nice guy. But how do you know, you're closer to the scene than I am? But but is there any way to read hundred year check in terms of what he may or may not be interested in in relation to. Okay. Coach. No. Plus is that was a college basketball player? So he really knows to gain. He has a lot of admiration for Kelvin Sampson. He told me that more than a year ago when he found out I knew Kelvin, and we talked and he has a lot of admirations for what he did there. And in a hundred was. He was very instrumental in them raising the money to renovate the arena and put into practice facility because yet the that higher Kelvin left, and so one hundred stepped in and finished raising all the money. So he I think he has an idea of what it looks like and tastes like now if he can just find that guy that that will fit. It's I I'm I have seen very few people come from out west and be successful in the SEC in basketball. You almost have to know the players in the summer, you have to know everybody every inkling of the game, including what goes on in high schools and the summer circuit all that you have to be in tune with it to be successful SEC. While I know going on there what you get back to it. But thank you for coming on just moments after we learned that coach Anderson has been let go thank you, very very much. Thank you for having me, Paul while hall, and I want to echo something he said, and you know, this this kind of stuff doesn't really matter when when it comes down to making changes. But but I, but what he said about Mike Anderson is very accurate. He he is a first rate guy. I've known him a long time and had a great visit with him two weeks ago. Tomorrow in in Nashville when he joined us with his wife, she was right off to the side onset. I've known them a long time. And and he's he's always been a class guy. You never hear any allegations about rules violations. You don't hear any allegations about anything other than running a first class program? Unfortunately, you do have to get to the tournament in today's world, and he didn't get there enough. And that's why he is at least for the time being. On employed Arkansas making the change late this afternoon. That's four SEC coaches AM, Alabama Vanderbilt and now Arkansas with LSU likely to be right behind them. Once the tournament comes to an end, rare that you see so few changes in football. Did we have a change in football this year? Just in the assistance at Alabama, and so many in in college basketball. Shows you the league is getting pretty serious about the sport. Obviously, we'll take a break mortar. Come after this. You're listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. People getting off work. Maybe not heard the news with Mike Anderson..

"And you can't mess this up. And it's not hard core. You can drink wine. You you can do whatever you want. But you're gonna do it informed. And so that I just really wanted to carefully do that. So I would have like using Christmas the middleman, I would say to her please, let them know. I will get to them. As Wicklow is Ken, I'm working at twenty four seven, and I will get it to them when it's right. And that sucked to have to not be. Be able to give them an hour or a day. Because I didn't know I did not know how long I was gonna take me. You're good at not giving them to do. Okay. Can we get it in two days in you, just like give you you'll try or whatever? But I I knew it was. And it's crazy how I how much underestimated how long that final. Edit would take I thought, oh, this is like four or five days. No. It took me to sell a weeks. You know, seven days a week fifteen sixteen hours a day. I remember when traded as to mate, how long it was gonna take you. You gave the manuscript to my mom to read on the plane. Right. Right. And she read in a one hour plane flight, she read like forty some pages or something like that. You're like, oh my gosh. She wanted to do this for me. And then you were like asking me to do man. Okay. So if she did forty pages in our what what does that mean for me? I'm like, I should be able to get this done in southern hours. You remember I said that it was seven out. If if our original estimate was seven hours, I should've times at one hundred. Is that was that was two weeks ago tomorrow? So then it got really pathetic. So then it was like starting to feel sorry for myself because I could feel all the other deadlines piling up. I knew all the things I need to get. You do all the things that are waiting for me. I know, and I was only feel sorry for myself because I don't operate this way. And I didn't set my life up this way, where I have to do one thing ever like more answer, you know, anyone else deadlines ever. So that was making me feel sorry for myself, but also motivation to like bust abs- and make sure I didn't do anything. So then I started unless you realize this. But I started I didn't allow myself to do the things that I normally do almost like punishment like, okay? Like, I did you know, I didn't exercise before days. Now, the reason why I didn't exercise before it as is almost like Heinisch myself. Okay. Three days because I was like, okay. You don't get exercise. Until this book is done and that worked for like three days. And then like, okay. This is dumb. I'm not helping this is not helping. But also because I would wake up every morning, and I couldn't even enjoy my workout because I knew I had hours and hours and hours to edit, you you had a word document crash to oh that was horrible. It took four hours. Awesome. My best stuff, and then my computer or my word document crash. I mean of all things, I don't I don't think had a program crash and like six years. God trying to give you what he knows you hand. You know, what I am proud that? You did something. I know you said you didn't work out for three days, but the last three days that you didn't work out. Yeah. Right in the past you gun to bed at one or two like you were and you woke up at like six in gone worked out..

"He called them all a disgrace to the USA at one of those rallies, he screamed about the fake fake disgusting news and he barked what appeared to be in order to attorney general Jeff Sessions that he quote should stop this rigged witch-hunt right now, Trump's lawyers later explained that was just an opinion, not an order Trump appeared to forget. That sessions is recused from the investigation that Trump wants sessions to stop Trump reportedly now despises Jeff Sessions, but worries about the repercussions of firing him, Trump even fired verbal shots at the Republican financing coke brothers. He called again for a government shutdown unless Democrats vote to pay for his border wall, mostly Trump laid into journalism and in a way that frightened even non-journalists at a rally in Pennsylvania Trump pointed to the reporters covering. It and called them horrible, horrendous people. Even after the UN had warned that such talk was putting the lives journalist at risk around the world Trump again called the press unfair and dishonest, dangerous and sick fake fake. Disgusting news Trump told a crowd already prone to believe such thing. They booed the reporters and shouted at them and gave him the thumbs-down. Nobody got hurt this time. It was two weeks ago tomorrow when the president sat down with his national Security Council for the very first time in his nineteen months is president. The purpose of the meeting was extensively to talk about protecting US democracy from foreign manipulation. The purpose of Trump's visit the reason for his presence. It's worth noting that Trump was still busy trying to play down his handling of the summit and the news conference with Vladimir Putin. But the Security Council also wanted to meet with Trump even after he'd spent the past two years badmouthing American intelligence and calling the Russia investigation a witch hunt and a hoax. Each of our intelligence agencies are doing what they can within the authority. They have it appears, but their efforts are not coordinated not part of a larger unified effort according to sources for NBC news at it's been nearly two years since the Russian attack was first discovered after the nine eleven attack. There were new laws more money and an effort that such attack would never happen again, nearly two. Two years after the Russian attack. There's been very little response and no coordinated effort as the attack continues. No one from the government is working with Facebook or Twitter to stop the Russian propaganda. Sure. The FBI created a foreign influence taskforce homeland security's working with states to beef up cybersecurity in our voting system to Pentagon agencies are working together to fight the Russians online candidates in this year's congressional races though, have already been hacked by Russia, Missouri democrat, Claire, mccaskill the name. One of the three candidates act weeks before this national Security Council meeting them -cluded the president, our director of national intelligence. Dan Coats gave a speech in which you said the system is blinking red on Russian cyber attacks, but there is no coordinator, no point, man. It's certainly not the president who's called it a witch hunt over in congress. Unlike the post nine, eleven days. There's been little appetite for new laws or more money in late July. The Republican controlled house voted down a proposal. To increase election security funding to the states for the cost of about four thirty five fighter jets. We have one hundred eighty seven of those regrettably President Obama who learned of the attack. Well, before the election also took no steps toward a coordinated response. It is also true. However, that Mitch McConnell made it clear that Mr Obama would get no cooperation from congress on that with pressure mounting on Trump about Russia. He's administration's just hit Russia with tough new sanctions for the deadly nerve gas attacks in Britain. Under US law, the sanctions apply to any country that uses chemical weapons, and the law requires more sanctions in ninety days. If said country doesn't swear off chemical, weaponry, the Russian ruble fell on this news to its lowest point yet in relation to the US dollar and one week ago today, the White House paraded before reporters, our national security leaders who won by one told us the threat is real and ongoing aimed at dividing and weakening. United States, national intelligence director, Dan Coats, FBI director, Christopher Wray homeland security's Kristen Nielsen and national security adviser. John Bolton echoed these concerns. The purpose of this parade was to convince Americans that the US and this president are doing all they can to fight for an election interference..
