J.D. Vance Shares His Feelings Post-Ohio GOP Senate Primary Victory

"Is JD Vance, the U.S. Senate nominee candidate for the great state of Ohio running against Tim Ryan. JD, welcome back to the program. Thanks, Charlie. Thanks for having me. And congratulations, I actually have a chance to tell you that yet. So first just your reaction from your race, you won the shocking victory. I think almost two weeks ago, how are you processing things? How's your race standing now that you're in the general? That's good. I mean, look, the Biden administration has been a disaster in Tim Ryan, my democratic opponent has voted with the Biden administration a 100% of the time. So we feel good about the general. Still got to put in the work. I think the Republican primary the way that I think about it is that it was a referendum on what kind of party do we want to be? Do we want to be a nationalist America first policy? Or do we want a party? Or do we want to go back to the ways of starting stupid wards that we have no reason to be in and shipping our manufacturing base off to China and other countries in the world. So I'm glad that the voters of Ohio rejected the old establishment ways. And I'm excited to take the America first message into the general election. And like I said, I feel pretty good

The 'Fact-Checkers' of '2000 Mules' Are Out of Their Depth

"When I'm seeing sort of two weeks into 2000 mules, a number of critiques in the movie initially, it was just the fact checkers, and the fact checkers clearly were out of their league. They had a very limited understanding of geo tracking and B had a very limited understanding of state laws, which vary on elections and so, for example, they would say things like, well, vote harvesting is legal. Well, no. What harvesting is not legal everywhere. It's legal in some states, and even in states that allow it, the conditions are normally quite restrictive. So my question is for the fact checkers, did you look at the ballot harvesting law in Wisconsin? Did you look at it in Michigan in Pennsylvania? Did you look at the nuances of these laws? No, the answer is no. So the 20 and 30 something fact checkers are kind of in too deep.

Aaron Withe, CEO of Freedom Foundation, Describes the Teacher Unions

"Folks, you're on the Doug Collins podcast. We always delve into issues, and we're getting into one that is close and near and dear to my heart. And that is this education issue, the education, the problems that are developed during the pandemic, not only are we going to see those. We're going to have a chance to have some conversation about that today. But also the inexorably role are extraordinary role of the unions. The teacher union, especially during the pandemic and the things that they have been going into. And as we've been going around teacher appreciation week and always talking about our teachers, do you know that's close to my heart for the podcast listeners here? My wife was a 30 year teacher in public schools, retired unfortunately during the pandemic year. Her last class with her students was the day everything quote shut down for two weeks, and she never really got back to go back to the class to tell that class goodbye. But there's a lot that goes on in that. And so today, I'm pleased how Aaron wath with us from the freedom foundation is a CEO. We're going to talk about education. We're going to get into this a little bit. We're going to discuss it. Aaron, thanks for being a part of the podcast. Doug, thank you for having me on. I appreciate you taking the time. No problem. Let's dive into this a little bit. And first off, let's go back and lay this groundwork how much of a problem and again, we

Daily Mail: Could Take 10 Weeks to Restock Baby Formula, Says Abbott

"Let's look at this baby formula issue As the daily mail puts out Abbott Laboratories said it could be ten weeks Before baby formula is restocked That's two and a half months by my calculation Well guess what Babies can't wait that long Once given FDA approval Abbott's Michigan plant could reopen in two weeks But the company said it will take 6 to 8 weeks to replenish its supply So the plant closed in mid February amid reports of infant illness and death For infants two died two got sick The plant closed in mid February After a thorough review of all the available data Abbott said there is no evidence to link our formulas to these infant illnesses No evidence So what is the FDA doing It's sitting on its hands It's keeping this plant closed Now if Donald Trump were president he would override the FDA and hope and order the plant to be open

"Tell me about it. We heard you on the radio, talk about it. My wife, she's been trying to lose weight for years. I've always been the problem because I bring ice cream home. Chocolate everything else. And me and her, we just get fat. I mean, that's all we did. And I was in the navy for 14 years. I was down. Mom, often weighs about two ten, I'm 6 foot three. I got up to two 85. The doctor said, hey, you got a problem with your leg. He didn't tell me I was fat. He just said you got a problem with you. Like, I knew exactly what it was. It was overweight. And then I heard you on the radio, talk about it, and you said you'd lost 35 cents January. Right. And so I come home and talk to my wife. She got a big smile on her face. I said, hey, your birthday is this month. It was in March. And I said, for your birthday present, I'm going to put you on a weight loss program. And I'm going to go on it with you. And both of us went on and she's down just about ready to go into maintenance. I'm looking at 70 pounds. I'm down 35. Second week in March. So you've lost, let me get this straight. You've lost 35 pounds since the second week of March. Yes, sir. Mike, that's huge. Doesn't it feel like, isn't it incredible? And is it an amazing you're never hungry? Never. Well, I keep seeing pizza and I want a big old slab of pizza, but I'm like, no, I told the lady, I said, I was in the navy. I said, you told me 20 weeks. We're done. 20 weeks is what you got.

Why Steve Gray Is Running for Congress in New Jersey

"Let's go to why you took this amazing decision. You served in uniform at a local agency, then the bureau since 1999. Why are you running in New Jersey for Congress, Steve gray? That's a great question. Listen, I have been watching Chris smith's record for some time. When he voted for the $1.2 trillion infrastructure Bill and Donald Trump, the next day came out publicly and said, we need somebody good to run against this guy and primary him. I started digging in deep. I decided to retire. I should have retired on January 31st. That was my actually target date, but I had COVID. And the office would not let me come back in until January 14th to retire. So I had to wait two weeks. Since then, we have hit the ground running. We are second to Chris Smith in dollars received and cash on hand. So we are working in mentally hard to get this job done. Chris Smith is establishment rhino who's been in office since Jimmy Carter was president. He has been he's been here for 42 years. And these are the individuals that America is disgusted about. And Congress has an 18% approval rating. And yet these individuals year, every two years are still voted back into office.

"I know what Gavin Newsom said. I can't, I can't be accused of misquoting governor Gavin, let's make California an abortion sanctuary state Newsom. What does a sanctuary state of California look like when it comes to abortion? We've been doing a lot. I mean, let me back up. I think, you know, it's always a moment like this. What are you going to do next? But I really support to talk about what we've been doing. Pretty consistent. We know what state in the union is doing more tech companies productive health and rights. And that's why I wanted to reflect back on the work we were doing anticipation of this because it led to a series of initiatives and bills that would be task force that was created to a series of recommendations, including dealing with co pays that we assign in our budget and go and affect January and went to the expansion of support for providers, supplemental, support, have a $1 billion to be provided to support our caregivers, went to parcel of $1.7 billion workforce to ask the legislature because we have issues of recruiting and retaining healthcare workforce. It's gone to a series of other recommendations that are going through a legislative process and a budget where just two weeks I'll be putting out, for example, supports the new portal and new website to provide culturally competent access to people across the spectrum so that they know their rights and they know where those, of course, live and stay. So we are initiated. That's governor Gavin Newsom describing what California as a sanctuary state would look like.

"Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell took the Senate floor yesterday, cut number four. The same political movement that used a leak to move up the timeline of justice Breyer's retirement process is trying to use yet another leak to make the court less secure and less impartial. Never before, never before in modern history has an internal draft been leaked to the public while the justices were still deciding a case. Never before. Whoever committed this lawless act knew exactly what it could bring about. The justices already require security, less than two weeks ago, an unbalanced person lit himself on fire on the court steps. Less than three years ago, a liberal mob tried to storm the court, shoving past law enforcement and pounding on the doors. Look, everybody knows what kind of climate the far left is trying to fuel. One that is antithetical, antithetical to the rule of law.

Lila Rose: No Autopsy Conducted in Alleged D.C. Infanticide Case

"Now these are very serious allegations coming out of this Washington D.C. case Where do we stand now is the D.C. mayor or the authorities going to look into this over there Is metro looking into it What's going on with that case What happened Just the contours of it as it stands now Sure So here's the breakdown over two weeks ago pro life activists were given two boxes of medical waste They said medical waste on them that they were actually boxes of the babies that were killed by abortion outside of the abortion of cesare saint Angeles clinic in D.C. So this whistleblower gave them these boxes live action we sent in my private organization sent in our field where we documented the findings there were images of we've got images of children that were nearly full term by babies in particular looked like they had been maybe even born alive one child looked like she had been the victim of partial birth abortion which is illegal a little beautiful baby girl whose neck had been cut and brain removed Really the most gory heartbreaking findings that you could imagine I mean it's like coming across a murder scene truly And so with this documentation the reached out to the D.C. homicide unit saying listen we have the bodies of children that may have been born alive and then killed we don't know what actually happened that you need to investigate Please hear the bodies and arrange for the bodies to be given over to D.C. police Well the D.C. police homicide unit shows up They take the bodies into their possession and then they say down two days later they say we're not going to be investigating These were abortions and it's legal in D.C. but then they admit that they didn't do an autopsy So there apparently has been no medical examination of these children's bodies no proper examination And yet they're claiming the abortions were done legally whether they were illegal or legal it's still I believe murder It's horrific I mean the children are savagely

One day, Thomas wakes up and changes the name to Leah Thomas and decides that want to keep swimming. So it goes from the 462nd best swimmer to the best swimmer, almost overnight. And this happened really slowly by the way. This wasn't like an overnight thing. If you were watching this carefully like we were, we were covering this for like a year and a half. They were like, hey, this is going to be a problem. Like, hey, this is going to be a problem. And they're like, oh no, it's not like they're going to let they're not going to let Thomas compete at the top level the championship. And there you go, at the NCAA championship, in Atlanta, two weeks ago, Thomas was competing and won the NCAA championship as a biological man. And again, that kind of goes back to that whole feminist critique, right? Which is worse so upset that because we're being oppressed by men. Election day is two weeks in Tuesday. People started voting last week. And so my 100% focus is on Ohio. Have you given up on getting the endorsement of Donald Trump? No, I'm doing everything I can to earn the endorsement of Donald Trump. I'd be honored to earn his endorsement. "Scrolling on their instagram account like the tacos they were beautiful looking tacos and i'm pregnant so i don't really have any crazy cravings but if i see something that looks really good i can't stop thinking about it and i must have it so a couple of weeks ago. Who went to this community center looking for these tacos and of course i'm walking like whatever and they stopped me and they're like. Oh you need a membership. You need to check in. And i'm like oh i'm just i'm just here for these tacos and i'm like showing them on instagram. And they're like okay. Hold on and so i'm waiting. They have to like bring someone else to kind of. Walk me to the back. It's not really a restaurant. They're just using like the kitchen at this community center so they walk me back there. They have me. Wade's and apparently that week. They weren't going to be in the kitchen. They were doing pop up shops like all over the all over the city so i was like okay so i look at their instagram. And i see that. They announced it on their instagram stories. That they're popping up all over the place like all right today. didn't work. Today was a fail. So i'll go another day. I'll go like. I don't know wednesday thursday to go see if i can catch them somewhere so sure enough. I try to do that after work. I drive across town to go find these taco to define this taco stand. And i'm walking around in this parking lot. I'm like they stay. They're saying they're right here between these times and i can't find them and so it's hot and i'm getting frustrated and i'm like okay. That's another al. I'm feeling so desperate now chasing these tackles like oh. I'm so pregnant right now. this is so annoying. finally. I think it was like two weeks later. I was like i'm gonna give it another shot. I went back to this like community center. And they're looking at me crazy like this lady really wants to these tacos and i finally finally able to like pick some up and try them. And i'm like in my head on my. They're probably not gonna be good anymore. Because have over hyped on my thumb but they were in a credible there were so good their culture bosco tacos. Are they in the center or no. You have to go into the center to get him. They are they actually have a back door. You can order them online. You go to the back and you pick them up there but Seem real yeah. I felt so desperate. I was at community center. All of may every tuesday and thursday. And it may i never saw that taco shop never told me and i'm like a my how how did i would have been my senate basketball practice there all the time i have been i would have been there eating those tacos all the time And i don't understand how. I missed that not like a restaurant and i really a shop. You're just using their kitchen like there's no sign or anything but if you go to their website they give you instructions on like where to park door to ground club in l. a. Though hearts again they were worth they were really worth and they're so close to us school to basketball. Yeah yeah like so basco your neighborhood. So saturday. we were watching The basketball game. The phoenix suns versus the clippers. And we were just you know just hanging out at home and it. It got pretty late because afterwards we were watching this boxing match. And then my husband and i look at each other and we're like sounds good in and out burger which just go in and out burger where else pretty lace pratt like. Eleven thirty saturday night and so we leave and as soon as we pulled out of our garage our entire national hood was packed with people like it looked like straight out of a movie scene. Like not even exaggerating. We couldn't really drive like we had to slowly move so to make sure that we wouldn't hit anyone and we're like what is happening right now and people are partying drinking like they're yelling and you. We couldn't really hear anything from our house because our neighborhood has always playing music so we just heard music and we thought okay. Whatever like somebody's having a party but no it was like streets just streets full of people and so mad at myself because i was just kind of like shocked and in all like what this was just right outside our house and we had no idea and i was so mad that i didn't record but we left and we almost had to pull over to the and be like. Did we just see like what is happening. What are they celebrating. What are they partying. Like what what's going on so we went in and now and it actually took forever because It along the line was long and we waited forever to get our food. We drove back and it was already kind of clearing up. So i wasn't able to take any pictures or video but then at the end we were like. That's kind of messed up like we don't get invited literally. Seemed like every single person was out there all our neighbors and we had no idea. Nobody said anything i flyer. Maybe they stuck it in the door and some and somehow it got lost. Maybe i hope so. But we didn't see anything like that's i don't know we also left out like they want clean. We actually start kids picking up some the kids to like hey We we like to party can invite us party party right now. Well i mean. I don't have to drink but i can go. Go out there and see what's going on but we were just. I was just shocked with the amount of people that were out there. It was flooded. It looks straight up like a movie scene. Eleven thirty nine. You went on an nfl. All your stories all food could be pregnant because they were filming hip hop video. Have they done that in your neighbor before. They've done that before but no this was in a video part because they had table set up on the on the street and everything joe's running around. We just saw that yesterday too. They had like they like recruited. That is crazy. That little chihuahua gang that likes to show our front yard. Every now and then recruited like a little poodle. Yesterday i made a friend fish. John jane rich in rich. Busby this thing about how people got rejected for petty reasons and i l. o. L. out loud. He texted me too many photos of his eggs benedict in the morning. She gave me a hug and there was a bulgar that sucker her nose that got on my shirt and for some reason i never recovered. It's been ten years. I still haven't forgotten. He had the same name as a horrible exited. Bothered me every time. He said the name for time i said the name she ate a banana sideways will hold it. Horizontally peel it and take bites from the side way that works so hard it would collapse if it makes it less. Gross that way the dude. Kiss me with open mouth with relaxed. Lips not meant as a make out kissed just opened his mouth. Smashed his face into mind and pulled back. That's how shallow effort man you gotta dump that person. He didn't use pillowcases. He owned them but he never actually put him on. Pillow own nasty. She didn't drink water but you break up. She had the same name.

No i really don't know because i've been talking about my birthday for weeks and i mean you can usually make it swing with your other with your schedule for other things that you really want to do. So it kind of sees personal 'cause every time it's something i plan or i wanna do. You never can make you flake out at the last minute. And that's exactly why none of my friends want you to kind of because they know how you're just going to disappoint million okay like i. I don't give a shit about what your other friends say about me like that doesn't matter and secondly just figured out what you want to do your birthday last week like maybe eight days ago and you know that my job requires me to like look my days off more than two weeks in advance like there's nothing i can do. They're like that's the world we live in wa- corporate economy okay. Well you can't use that. Excuse my birthday is the same every year. It's not like we didn't know when i was. You have at least taken a day or the weekend off for my birthday. Oh i look go especially when you're always channeling on me think finally tried to make an effort and think about it. I don't i do something. I'm not just gonna sit at home and watch tv. Like i have been for the past year. Okay okay so. My world doesn't revolve around you. So i can't like you know plan like that. What is depending on where you were going. You had to postpone it a week or two like you know. I also can't sit around waiting for you to make decisions and like honestly. I need my job to pay my bills and like you know. I have other things to prioritize my life and dry like i love you but you know you're not the best at planning or the mostly consistent i'll tell you i don't i don't i don't know it. Just it takes. Just hang on. And i feel like we're supposed to be one of my best friends and i can't rely on at all to either for me. I don't even know it's just upsetting. I'm just hurt. Shouldn't you be understanding that. She can't make it on a trip. This short notice. Also i feel like talia are always flaking on kendra and then you tell her you can't go. I mean if that were me. I'd be like i feel really terrible. I would like to do something else with you. Like and i make it up to you. Celebrate your birthday to make you feel like you are especially my life like next weekend. Yeah next weekend you have. I have this day off. We can do it something that day. But it's kind of like it's very unapologetic and you can tell just a radio. Give me the news because she just me this news all the time. Like what is she a person that doesn't commit until the last second usually when that happens to me someone seeing if there's something else better to do and if there isn't a we'll go to your party. We'll do your thing people do that. Does that s why. I was so upset. Very good friend commit. It's going to get to the point where she's just gonna stop inviting you because you never go. You never show up. And that's a great feeling antisocial. No it's true because we do get a lot of invites. I know judge is not going want to but would you really at that. Point my life now where. I'm really happy when things go on without me talk story. It's so sad dinner with a friend over the weekend and he has go out of town. And i was like oh we can. We got and i go. How about tuesday exile tuesday. So that's tomorrow. And i'm waiting to not respond. Keep voting postponing will just fade. It'll just fade. Is that your friend. Is that your favorite when you get invited to something. And then they cancel your favorite. If you were kendra this breaking bad news situation and will only be ten seconds. Yeah you're right. It was win but me putting together a trip and having people come with me. I would give exile eighty realistic no. I wouldn't want that to happen to be so sad. If you're putting a trip in france cancelled no would want. I would never be the situation route putting a trip together. Hey france let's all go to vegas. Let's all go to wherever. I would not want to do that. I would just go myself or one friend actually know my wife would trip. She's gonna go guys trip Or oh i mean you guys even going. Where's the trip is a summer spectacular. It was stralia. Well that takes a lot of planning. You know if it's just a way for the weekend somewhere simple or was it. It's nothing crazy. I wasn't trying to go on nuts. But i figure with everything that's going on was excited to do anything even if it's just not that far the town just a small little quaint place that we're renting your you. Just hang out the girls nothing crazy. That's what my wife did this last weekend. Yeah i don't know. I feel like if you want to keep that friendship you might want to do something. For kendra talia absolute. What about part of his trip. Are you off at all during the trip even one day. Not really and also i mean apparently alter frontera me so i would i go on this trip. We should just do something. I guess via ourselves out that. There's always a fun for half that you had to make fun of immune to pile on. So that's probably your friend really shouldn't even target.

"Incited the violence. Two weeks ago when he said peacefully unpatriotically make your voices heard at this makes absolutely no sense and the timing makes no sense. My hope is a quick trial and the president is then there's no conviction. Um and the president can get ready to run again in 2024 u. Haven't you have that expectation? Congressman Jordan, right? Do I do? I think he is by far and away the front runner. I think he has Dunmore of what he said he would do then. Certainly any president in our lifetime, Sebastian On. Daz made an amazing difference for the country. And I hope he runs again. But, you know well, that that would obviously be up to the president. You have been finding so strenuously and we are so grateful to everything you and your freedom Kali Caucus colleagues have done on Capitol Hill. Let me ask you the big picture question. The last minute we have with Congressman Jim Jordan. Follow him right now. Jim underscored Jordan on Twitter, also Jordan dot house dot give ranking member on the Judiciary Committee congressman have we succeeded? Is the GOP now a maggot party. Is it about America first? Totally 100%, you know, you know you could just what the president did. He turned our party and I know we've talked about this on your show here, Uh, Sebastian he way went from the I always forget who said this, But someone thought that was a great line. We're no longer the wine and cheese Republicans with a pair of blue jeans. Republican President Trump has spot for middle class working class people, and he's Dunmore of what he said he would do. Which I think is the goal of this job. When you're a member of Congress, or you're here, the president vice that's the goal. He's done it better than anyone, and that's what the American people appreciate that he's fighting for them. 30 seconds. What do you say to those of the people of Ohio and all Americans who have lost faith in our despairing Our country has been through difficult times before, and we've always risen to the occasion. "What I see it. Is the worst of the worst of the worst. That's Kendall Kendall Grebler at Ace ICU Nurse at Valley Wise Health Hospital in Phoenix. She spoke this week with Katya, Our reporter Alley Ventnor, who shadowed her sometimes from a distance for safety reasons. As this nurse treated covert patients and Allie better joins us now to talk about her experience. Alley hospitals nearing full capacity ICUs are filling up. We've been hearing what a dire situation we're in, But you saw Firsthand. What? What did you see? And what shocked you. You know, I saw essentially two of the hospitals for Coburg 19 units. Most of the time, As you said, I was I spent watching nurses and doctors treat patients on ventilators and dialysis machines on the other side of plexiglass, and it was shocking to see in person, but honestly, it just looked like a movie. They had an entire makeshift closet built into this negative pressure ICU that turned into an open area treating covert patients separated by curtains. So when you're looking on the outside, it looks, is it You're almost stepping through this portal into just the covert zone in the hospital. Only one of the parts of your story that really touched me the most was that the nurse holding the hand of a dying patient is the last rites were read over the phone. And this is happening a lot with our doctors and nurses. In fact, a close friend of the family passed away from co bid on a ventilator two weeks ago with a nurse holding his hand and no family around. So how are the doctors and nurses that are tending to these patients holding up to the emotional strain and what is the toughest part of their jobs? I mean, obviously, there is an emotional aspect and you don't get into the medical field and the health care professionals if you don't have that passion and love for people, But overall, just the entire morale in mood inside the hospital was extremely positive, considering the circumstances. But it was incredible to see. You know, when I spoke with Kendall, Obviously, things got emotional towards the end of the interview. When I asked her what the most difficult part of her job was, but something that I found extremely heartbreaking was when I asked her about patient communication with their families, and she said, it's beyond difficult because I mean, Justus you are I would feel we want to know what's going on with our loved ones, and they don't get a realistic view. She described to me that she does videoconferences, which essentially would be like face time. And she is filling in the family on what's going on what type of treatment how they're doing, But then she shows them a visual, and they think that their loved one is sleeping with a ventilator, essentially a tube in their throat, But they're not sleeping. That's just their state Now. Wow, It's just crazy, So yeah, no, it's terrible. The toll it's taking emotionally and mentally on these health care professionals who by the way they have to care in order to do the job, But the also have to be able to be detached enough in order to do that job because if you get to a most No, You can't do the job. But are they feeling overwhelmed? Not just with the emotions, but with the number of patients, Ellie Yes, they are. And that was one thing that Kendall Grebler communicated to me very clearly there. ICUs can hold about anywhere from 12 to 26 patients, And they she told me and described a couple different instances in the past couple of weeks where they pretty much paired critically ill patients two or three of them tow one nurse and imagine all of the nurse's duties of Not only taking care of them physically but then also charting their critical illness, adding on top of that communication with families, they're spread beyond thin, right. That's just crazy. All right, Thank you. Thank you very much alley for going and doing that story. It had to be tough on you emotionally as well. You will hear Callie's special piece that she did on Shadow and ICU nurse during these covert time's coming up in the eight o'clock expansion here on K T a. R. It is 7 18 right now and time for your rosy on the house. Helpful tip of the week. Tis the season to be jolly so to keep up the hope. Oh, and avoid Hojo owl. Here's some holiday safety tips to keep making spirits bright like holiday lights. They're vastly improved in energy saving. Thanks to led technology, they should have the Underwriters Laboratory label on the strings. And if their specific for indoor or outdoor use use them accordingly. If you have some older strings, you want to inspect them for frayed wiring, broken lights and sockets. You never attacker staple outdoor lights to the house and don't overload outlets.

"Roger. Welcome. Good morning, Gary. Called you Ah, two weeks ago about these mystery Start on the outside of my garage door. Yeah. We remember some about that. I do remember something about that. You're probably going to have to refresh a little bit. Okay. Well, what the deal is, is, uh, Uh, sprayed the hinges on the door and oh, yeah. Okay. Okay. Graded on there. And it always sudden, big splotches on the outside of the the garage door, Right? And I couldn't figure out you know what the deal was. And you said that you were going to try to see with you. You could find out, you know, just by the air to air like that, but Right mystery so good because people scratching your head so you wouldn't find out Well, what the deal is other than my wife, Camille. Some dumb kind of thing, you know, dumb operator or whatever, but Anyway. Uh, the Pam. They're made out of 4 2022 inch panels knew God hinges on each one of those five changes, you know, write on each one where What had happened is Use that Blaster for garage door. Ah, anges, and it was probably seeping through those They're just enough opening and note panels to let it go through. Well, I think that's kind of what we were talking about that that would be the only way is through maybe over application or during those in those seams because I was pretty furnace pretty steadfast that it wasn't going to be able to bleed through that door. No. Uh, no, not at all. And with what the situation was, is the blaster by itself. I never did this before. I only oil the rollers on each end, right? Well, those rollers also have handles on them, too. So Uh, both ends Plus the middle is and so on so forth, and that's how it came out. Okay. Did you get the stain off? That's what I recall you about Gary? You said if I found out what happened to the doors to call you back, but only other end to I can't. Come up with anything to clean it. I used awesome. I used paint thinner. I used anything you can think of. Ah, I know it seems really simple, but it is a great neutralizer of oils. Okay. And that is dawn. Dishwashing soap. Yeah. Oh, I I used that to. Okay, So here's what I would do. His take the dawn because you probably didn't do it this way. Take the dawn and put it on the surface. Of some A cling wrap, cellophane wrap or whatever you wanna call the plastic wrap plastic cramp. Okay, squirt it on the surface of that and then put it on. It'll cling to it. You know that plastic cling wrap. Okay, it'll cling to the door and that soap will just sit right on the stain. Me like a Poulter's. Yeah, Yeah, OK, exactly. Exactly Some that's going to stay on there for you. No overnight Say that and then come back. Pull that off. And then ah! You know, Scrub that up now. I think you told me you were gonna paint that also, right? Right. This is the reason I called you about how I could get rid of this. And I wanted to paint the door. But I don't dare do it with that all stain, right, right. So try this. If that doesn't work, you conceal that oil in Which will prohibited from bleeding through the finished coat of paint. Okay, you could use like a kills total one product, which is Yes. Okay. Yeah, yeah, kills total one. It's called total. One is a great product. It'll seal that staying in and then you can go over. I mean, you could use pretty much any good, high quality exterior paint. With some Sherman Williams duration or emerald on monarchy on trial whose butt and that will seal that staying in if for whatever reason, we just can't remove it. Let's go ahead and seal that in with the kills total one and just go ahead and paint it out. Okay? I'll sure try that. Because I've done everything in this world. You might say to try to get that stuff off because they're painted. Yeah. Area here. You a very a thankyou, merch. I really appreciate it. Thank you. Take care, brother. All right, in 25 minutes after the hour and Larry welcome Thank you for taking my call. Yes, sir. And I have won a house that has like 2/3 of a poor basement with three crawl spaces.

"Your life and now is the time that you get to do what you want to do with the rest of your life for some people may be doing nothing for other people and they'd be traveling the world for others it may be giving some money to charity or giving their time to charity it really depends but I sometimes find that the husband and the wife have very different ideas of what retirement will look like when they retire for example I I work with one couple that and I spy met with them it was not even two weeks ago and when I asked them tell me what your life looks like in retirement and the husband was ready to go he was like oh I know I'm gonna sell this house and I'm going to buy an RV and for the first three four years all I wanna do is just travel and meander through the United States and check out all the sites that I've always looked at on TV that I that I checked it out right that's that's what the husband said the wife looked at him with complete disbelief as to like like if he was an alien who says what now and her response was in her thought she was gonna live next to her daughter they had a little one year old baby and she wanted to see her little granddaughter grow up so very very different and the reality is is that what that they both had one thing in common they both wanted to leave Miami that I know that they're saying where as soon as I retire we're selling our place and we're out here right but one one thought they would move to Texas and the other one thought that they're going to travel the United States so I was actually quite surprised that and and it happens often that it seems that people talk more about what they're gonna do in their vacations then what they're going to do for the rest of their life in retirement so it's it's the initial conversation and by the way what you think you want to do versus what you actually do in retirement sometimes differ you might find yourself bored at the beginning of doing what you thought you wanted to do some people tell me that they want to travel but then after six months there are good they get homesick so things change the one constant is that things change so and then the other scenarios there may be health issues prevent you from doing the things that you wanted to do but we'd have to start with an idea of what we want and build a plan around that so you're never going to get to where you want to be on this you know where you gonna go until that's the state's number one to practice and to think about what's life going to look like the day that I don't have to get up to go to work the day that I could wake up at whatever time I want and then nobody's telling me what to do or where to go or what to do and that you're doing with your life whatever you want so it's a conversation that I have initially in my office with my clients husband and wife and sometimes they're on the same page but I'd say it's a fifty fifty sometimes the wyvern told different different scenario so sometimes it just hurts it's just our to the simple conversation what you wanna do and there's a marriage between the two of them what with this particular family what they decided is that once this other place in Miami they're going to buy a small place in that apartment in in Texas and they're also going to have an RV and a good travel so the it worked out well they both are kind of on the same page now but there are some minor differences and you can imagine the traveling in an RV throughout the United States is a different cost than renting an apartment yeah buying an apartment in Texas you know so it's important to have an idea so we could work around that that's something you certainly don't want to overlook when you are putting together your plans for retirement let me give the number to.

"Running attack yeah I mean that they're not built for it I mean today's get today's in game everything's been transition to to the heir to the passing game you've seen you know back in my day my early days you had big John Lynch's and Brian Dawkins in big heavy hitting safeties two hundred ten turn twenty five pound guys well the game is change and and those those guys that come down and hammer let you know camera guys you all off all on the line of scrimmage and and the punishing tacklers those are flags now and so the game is transition into a faster smaller defensive back a tyrant Matthew good size guy that's a hundred ninety pounds and then you bring in the old school Derrick Henry whose two fifty and the game has changed around them and people are bouncing office I pets and bouncing off the step form so you know the game has changed and and the style of defense of places just change last fifteen years it's gone smaller and faster from the defense the backside you know I I just see I just see them what they did against that that running attack and how how much success they had against Tennessee you don't know what's coming in San Francisco you they're running football team but they will get they will absolutely gas you in the play action games so they need to be careful loading up the box like they did two weeks ago in the AFC championship the NFC championship game because what they have coming out of now is a ton of play action a ton of misdirection they're gonna run the ball down down hill but you also have to be care be careful all the trick plays that are on they see the moniker thrown around like this guy's a genius couch and has a genius but I think coach and and really is a genius and the guys on the white collar bloody mention John Lynch you go way back with John the check away back with John Lynch we make a partnership between the two of them and specifically the job John which is done coming out of a broadcast booth transitioning and building that roster the way he has it's amazing to me what about you yeah I mean just great great chemistry they they seem to be they seem to work together really really well they seem to be on the same path as far as their their vision of of how their teams built in and I I think it's really smart being a quarterback I know how hard it is to play when you don't have a a great offense aligned against the great defensive line but what they've done is build that program and build that organization up from the offense and defense along with their draft picks in free agency and I don't care how good your receivers are I don't care how great your quarterback is if he's constantly on his **** getting hit every time he throws because you've taken for defense a line in the top five picks for the last five or six years you can't win against that and if you can protect it doesn't matter if you got Dion Sanders and Patrick Peterson a corner it doesn't matter if you're often to line in your built from the inside out your office line it doesn't matter who your quarterback is or who you receivers are because even the best quarterbacks cornerbacks ever play the game can't cover for five six seven eight seconds with one last thought you played ball at USC college ball so of course you know the Lakers intimately and you know the area were Kobe Bryant lived what was your thoughts you and your reaction to her that terrible terrible story that terrible news you know I I I remember in two thousand and one those them in my daughter my the house we were living with all my roommates we all the Lakers are just one game six or game seven right down the street take at staples center we jumped in Troy palm all as he had this like starcraft van I think he bought for like a thousand dollars just the dump amazing we jump in the van we drive down Figueroa and it was just a party up and down the streets all around staples center and I just remember the joy and this you know people doing doughnuts in the middle of the street and everybody's you know purple and gold and Kobe jerseys left and right and I just remember the excitement that he brought and I was in college right down the street is two thousand two thousand one or two thousand two where they went back to back to back and I I I saw firsthand we we could go to the game obviously but the stable centers maybe as a a crow flies a mile from our house and I just remember the excitement and the passion in the joy that he brought Laker fans and get to be a part of it get to be in the streets party and enjoying it with with the Laker fan base and being from so cal and and obviously I mean this is a tragedy is it is a difficult to to watch I appreciate your thoughts Carson Palmer appearing courtesy of fed ex air and ground NFL players of the year awards because it's a good rundown pleasure thoughts on that everything else great seeing you thanks to pursue the Carson Palmer all right we're gonna come right back that's our vaccine it's cheap it's easy to administer however this live vaccine is continue to be used worldwide and while you're doing that some of the vaccine has gotten out into the world and it's mutated it's are circulating again just like regular polio but early on it's just it's still a vaccine is not dangerous and then slowly it's sort of regain strength and they're finding they can actually genetically see this in that scientists can actually trace it back directly to the vaccine and now these vaccine link cases are actually causing more cases of paralysis each year than actual old traditional what scientists call wild polio not we should underscore Jason this is not the version of the vaccine is given to to youngsters in United States why are other country still using I took in the United States and in Europe and other countries like that you were using an injectable vaccine which is a dead vaccine it is not a live virus and it can not because fully so that it should not all be concerned that the issue however is that it's an injection that has to be given it's given four times between the ages of two months and seven years so distant administering it is it is it is difficult and just frankly there is not enough global stock pile of that vaccine took to vaccinate all of the children around the world the four times over the course of their childhood so there's some real of problems with that that ultimately would be the goal is to eventually get to the point where you're not using your polio vaccine but it's not logistically possible at this point you learned this week the centers for disease control Texas problem so seriously they're actually sending dozens of experts to these countries affected what were they plan to do yeah they're calling it the search and they're gonna be deploying between seventy five and a hundred extra staff from the CDC out it primarily into Africa to to try to just address these vaccine derived outbreaks and just clamping down as soon as they can the idea is that if you can stop them do you will stop that that virus from continuing to spread and really try to strengthen these the system so that they can get control of this and hopefully you know get get rid of this other source of polio at a time when they're tantalizingly close to actually wiping out the disease and perspiration robin thanks so much you're welcome Mikhail Khodorkovsky has been an oil a dark and a prisoner the richest man in Russia and a man in exile in London the new documentary citizen K. written and directed by Alex Gibney shows Amanda was once a Russian straight emblem of capitalist success ran afoul of Latimer Putin and became a dissident and human rights champion does he still ruthless in pursuing his own hands Alex gave me his also made the films Enron the smartest guys in the room and going clear Scientology and the prison of beliefs joins us from New York thanks so much for being with us thanks god good to be with you so how did sedition K. as he's called in this film and Vladimir Putin two powerful men who had every reason to get along become adversaries well they were rather different view of Russia's future and at one point in a famously televised conversation about corruption in Russia we call her Kaski frontally accused Vladimir Putin of corruption a few months later he found himself in a Siberian prison tech inspected the rush of the nineteen nineties if you currently have it corner Kaski grow so rich well it was a wild west I mean we all remember Gorbachev and Yeltsin on the tank but once Yeltsin got off the tank and Russia started to rebuild itself as a country not an empire there was no longer communist but now capitalist they had to invent capitalism nobody knew anything about in fact it'd been illegal Mikasa Kaski started dealing in in in black market blue jeans and computers and run around that time the Russian state was handing out vouchers which were actually shares in small state owned enterprises that everybody could grab a hold of them the market value was so like thirty forty Bucks but they were suppose if you hung on to them long enough it's it is said you could buy yourself a vulgar a Russian car but most people don't know what to do with them they had no idea what capitalism was like that somebody like me caller Kaski figured out you could buy am on the cheap the next thing you knew you owned a whole bunch of shares controlling shares in small Russian state owned enterprises and suddenly he became enormously wealthy one of these Russian oligarchs they call them a tiny number of people who by the end of the nineties control fifty percent of Russia's economy two two hundred plus can begin to question the system in which she'd been so sure permission accessible I think initially he saw as a game and he was good at the game and it was rather ruthless I should say at playing that game but along the way particular when the ruble dropped through the floor and so did the price of oil he he he came to owner of globe girdling company call you course which is an oil company suddenly he found himself in a desperate situation where was having to lay off thousands of people he was face to face with the misery that can come when things go wrong hi I know this is covered at the time to one degree or another but it's quite a thing to see the the film of his trial in this film was his trial fair what we did the second trial was really a joke it was a show trial I mean they accused him of stealing all of the oil that he owned and this was after they accused him of not paying taxes on the oil that he sold so you have to wonder how you could steal the oil that he had sold and not pay taxes on and they brought evidence to the trial of things like a conspiracy in the evidence of the conspiracy was a company phone book so it gives you some sense of how ridiculous the trial was it was a complete sham he learned he was going to be sent to prison as as far away as you can by counting the number of lunch grace that were in the boxcar in which you travel they give you one per day and I believe he was handed seven and man it was going to be a seven day journey by train he ended up in a cross no comments which is near a big uranium mine by the Mongolian border so it was quite a ways away from Moscow in prison this man had been an oligarch really seem to develop character I think you learn to a degree of humanity and he learned a con kind of broader vision of life I mean among his prison writings he said you know I learned that life is not about having it's about being you know it was it was really a show of somebody who is try to see things from the inside out it turned his whole world view upside down I think and he became much more in touch with what it means to be a human being assessed it must be said you you spoke with a few people who deeply believe and be cal cortical ski had people killed when he was no longer could please one person indeed well there it's a week we spent a great deal of time investigating the murder of nephew dance this town in Siberia to which we travel today Mikhail Khodorkovsky cannot go back to Russia because he is accused of ordering the murder of that mayor who was back in the day in the nineties adverse the Holocaust ski we investigated pretty carefully I don't really think that Holocaust you in fact that I'm fairly certain that hard because he did not order that murder confiscated Jay is in London he is he's in London today he operates something called open Russia which is dedicated to promulgating democratic ideas in Russia and also supports a number of journalistic efforts to show the details of corruption in the pool I wonder if in the end you trust what he told you I think the big question is did he really have a change of heart in.

"In the Bronx nearly two weeks ago when members of a police anti crime unit shot and killed both a civilian and a fellow officer the man killed along with officer Brian McKean was twenty seven year old Antonio Williams a Binghamton resident W. N. Y. C.'s Yasmin Kahn reports the Williams family is seeking answers about how a police encounter turns deadly most of the NYPD's information about the shooting came within the first twenty four hours they said their officer Brian McKean was on patrol with his anti crime unit at the public housing complex they were plainclothes officers cast with getting illegal guns off the street police officials say McKean stop to question Antonio Williams who ran the chase ended with the two men and a physical struggle and then fifteen bullets fired by officers killing both McKean and Williams police say Williams was armed but never fired a gun whatever the truth looks like that's what I want the truth this is Antonio's father John Williams I spoke with him and his wife Gladys at their home in Rockland county they say obtaining answers about what happened that night is hard but what's also been difficult is what has been said about Antonio gang banger sold this person and they were aware of some of Antonio's criminal record but say it's been used to justify his death Antonio serve time for burglary when he was nineteen he was on probation for a drug charge from last year this past August he was charged with harassment following an altercation with his longtime girlfriend she apparently found drugs and a gun in the house but his family says nothing about his past explains how events unfolded that night in the Bronx here's Antonio sister Nicole Johnson older by a few years I feel strongly that my brother should still be alive the officer should still be alive doesn't seem like anyone should have died that night she has some questions like why officers approached her brother in the first place whether the officers witness Dantonio with a gun or suspected him of criminal activity before they chased him whether the officers who were in plain clothes identified themselves as police the NYPD has released none of these details thank you kind of doing this thing where I like rewind time my head and try to like make small changes in the time when I think about you know if this had happened but he had not been there the family is hiring an attorney to help them navigate the process of obtaining Graham details about Antonio staff while also grieving Antonio was the father of two young children ages four and two he had six siblings including a twin Angelo we can see that there's more small brother John Kerry he says since Antonio died he's been getting texts from people who knew his brother sharing ways that Antonio was a friend or a comedian or the time it when Antonio talked someone out of suicide Johnny Williams the city's public advocate says when a police officer dies the whole city grieves and then it becomes easy to forget the family on the other side or to demonized someone like Antonio overall problem with the fact that he controls a narrative to walked in not just women officers killed but another police involved shootings or when it comes to accountability to walk in and how it is in only the police department and the NYPD will determine when and how much video footage to release from the officer's body cameras the commissioner says they will release them eventually for now the police department continues to investigate what happened at even all houses along with the Bronx DA's office that investigation could take weeks or months in the meantime most of the information the Williams family has is from media reports or they try to search it out on their own including the night of the shooting first go to call the hospital John Williams said they were calling around to hospitals to find Antonio she was on the phone with them when they tell her when I looked at her and she started crying and I knew it was true they drove down to mind if your Medical Center in the Bronx from Rockland county John says he was not allowed to see the body the NYPD showed him a photograph and asked him to identify his son Antonio Williams was shot eight times once in the head and seven times in the torso according to the medical examiner the city released his body after about five days that's when the Williams family was able to begin planning for a funeral which was held today Yasmin Khan W. NYC news the United States and China have agreed to what president trump is calling a substantial freeze one deal on trade and the details of this deal still have to be written but we're gonna find out what we can from and here is Jim zarroli who's in New York hi there Jim hi Mary Louise what we know about this phase one what's actually been agreed well I think perhaps the most concrete thing here that's been agreed to involves the terrorists that were supposed to take effect on Tuesday into the trump administration has already put tariffs on a lot of the things that we import from China they were supposed to go up on Tuesday that will be suspended that's the word that was used but the terrorists that are already in place apparently will remain in place and there are still additional terms that are supposed to take effect in December and it's not really clear whether they will take a fact also China has agreed to buy more agricultural products from the United States so the president said forty to fifty billion dollars worth you know farmers of course have been really hurt by this trade war and the president has been really anxious to help them out at the president and his advisers have been clear they wanted a big deal not something piecemeal does this count phase one of a big deal you know why I think it's progress it means that you know this is the end of a phase one means there's gonna be a phase two and possibly a phase three seven which means there's more work to do I mean one of the important thing to point out here is that early this deal is it written down on paper yet that has to be done over a present comes at the next three weeks or four weeks or five weeks and of course the devil is always in the details with things like this in writing a history in this administration of the president coming out and saying something was agreed and then we hear from the other country that they had a different understanding that yeah and actually you know there was a meeting in in the spring and president trump came out and said he expected a deal in four weeks that didn't happen so but you know the important thing here is that that there had there it seems like some of the animosity between the two countries has been lessened and that's important that's a first step by you know by think both president trump and and the Chinese leader he's she's in pain I feel it they won they won a deal here they want a political victory ins and and that's important it means that some progress is being made do we know of the major outstanding issues are are there any that we know that were not addressed in this phase one deal have quite a few I mean some of the very important structural issues still have to be addressed inferences the United States wants China to crack down on intellectual property theft the treasury secretary Stephen the new chin said you know we're very very close to a deal on that but I apparently they don't have one yet you know and then there are other big issues that have just been a problem for a long time China the US wants China to open up its markets stop subsidizing state owned companies I mean these are really tough issues and they go into the very heart of the kind of economy China is and what about hardware that's been another major sticking point that you know he's telecom giant exactly there's nothing on one way the it you know it's true of president trump put one away on a commerce department blacklist in may the he then backtracked on that a little bit but that's the only place that hasn't been talked about today it wasn't addressed in this deal on an eight it suggests they still have a long way to go so just very briefly Jim does this set a more positive tone of it with the trade tensions ratcheting down may be a little bit yes certainly sets a different town but I have to say the stock market seems somewhat underwhelmed by what came out today the Dow right before the deal was announced was up five hundred fifteen points and then it fell back and finished up three nineteen so we shall see where it goes from there on Monday morning and here's.
