Merrick Garland's DOJ Arrests 11 Pro-Life Activists

"Biden DoJ, the Merrick Garland DoJ has been really going after activist pro lifers. And in a recent arrest, they've arrested 11 pro life activists and charged them with violating the so called face act, the face act as the freedom of access to clinic entrances act. It was a law that passed that basically said that people can not block or interfere with the provision of reproductive healthcare, which is basically abortion. And these pro life activists, I mean, some of them, of course, just stand outside a clinic with signs, but there are others that are more activists that their job or their goal is to talk people out of getting an abortion. Now this is not to say that they that they commit any kind of violence on the contrary, what they're trying to do is a sort of disrupt the functioning of the clinic by using a human blockade. And by the way, these are tactics picked directly out of the civil rights movement. And number two, try to talk to people who are heading into get an abortion and persuade them not to. So that's their goal. Now, in 2021, a group of pro life activists did a blockade of an abortion clinic in Juliet, Tennessee. They obviously were thought they were doing something good. And they broadcasted on Facebook. This was a kind of a live action as they call it. And now a whole bunch of these people. In fact, some of them a couple of them are young, but one of them Eva eddy or adult is 87 years old. She was part of it. She's been arrested. So you've got all these people who are arrested and supposedly, there are arrested for blocking people from providing reproductive

"Not at all even for a second trying to reprimand Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren boebert for that, but also Marjorie Charlie green did a speech at a white nationalist convention. I mean, and he still won't. He won't even denounce that. You go, what is going on, man? Well, what is going on is that McCarthy thinks he's going to win the Republicans are going to win a majority in the House in the next Congress. And he wants to be speaker. And he has to basically thread this very, very tight, I guess needle that he wants to keep all wings of his party happy so that they vote for him to be speaker in the next Congress. And it's very, very difficult for him and it means that he's forced into all these bad options and it makes him look really, really weak, right? I mean, he can't denounce MTG because if he denounces MTG, she's going to turn against him and she will summon her friends not to vote for him and because her house Republican caucus politics are so kind of divisive at the moment. It's not clear that McCarthy could win the speakership if he doesn't have the support of that right wing kind of Trump supporting element of the House Republican conference at the minute. That's his number one concern. The other point is, even if he did want to sanction MTG, it's not really clear what you can do which is already been stripped of her committee positions because of a previous bad behavior. So I think McCarthy is in a difficult position in that he doesn't know what to do. I don't think anyone knows what to do. If they were in his position, but more effective of the fact that he just doesn't want to upset the apple cart here because it doesn't bring him any benefits politically. I mean, it's all the same with these guys. It's the same with Steve scalise the other day on the House floor. Fox's Brian Kilmeade Discusses His New Book 'The President and the Freedom Fighter'

"I'm talking to Brian kill me, you may know him from fox and friends, but he's written a lot of books. This one is called the president and the freedom fighter Abraham Lincoln Frederick Douglass in their battle to save America's soul. America soul could use a little saving right now. But we're not going to talk about that. What made you want to write a book combining these two figures? Well, I was looking for the last time I was here. You kind enough to interview me about Sam Houston, the Alamo Avengers. So I try to find an angle not plowed and the Alamo is, but San jacinto isn't 9 months later he ends up taking him out as San jacinto beating Santa Anna in 17 minutes because Texans know it, but the rest of the world. So I go, what's next? The Mexican war, I didn't think had enough. My opinion, I'm sure there's a lot there with Lee in the quartermaster grant and the fact that these generals fought on the same side and then years later, they'd be trying to kill each other and a lot of them successfully. I said, all right, the Civil War. What could I do that's not plowed ground from Ken burns a series to the remarkable book, David blight wrote about Frederick Douglas Scott? I think the book of the year, 5 years ago. And then what about Lincoln? I literally you and I gave the same situation. We get books about linking to our desks all the time, and they're all great. I'm waiting for nobody who's written been written about more. It's like maybe three people like who've written about Napoleon Jesus, Lincoln. I mean, I don't know how many books have been written about Lincoln. So yeah, what do you do for a fresh angle on the Civil War? So what I wanted to do is also I didn't mind tackling race, but I wanted to do it through quotes, not opinion. And racist never left the news, Black Lives Matter is raging at the time. And then you have you have a situation where as late as Condoleezza and rice Condoleezza Rice on the view, having to defend herself growing up in a Jim Crow south who knew all about racism, but grew up as his conservatives says, don't ever let it be an excuse. So I said, what have I talk about their parallel lives to the degree in which they read a lot of the same books? Did they overcame incredible obstacles? Nothing like Frederick Douglass. I get it. The guy was enslaved until he was in his 20 years old, two tries, got out in the second time within 7 years has a biography. It's a bestseller, and then starts a world tour and becomes famous in Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and England. This guy was a slave ten years before, but decides to come back to America because his 4 million enslaved 350,000 slave owners and he sees potential in this guy Lincoln and the Republican Party that we're finally ready to do

Yeah i on on regular yeah and we discovered after the fact. I definitely played on the hardest. Like you're playing playing normal mode. Yeah yeah so. I had that going for me which. I'm sure made a difference in going straight into hard mode. Compared if i'd been playing on classic like i moved. I got a lot further already in my first playthrough in terms of difficulty Yeah the hell house. I literally spent over five hours in one sitting on it one day and did not accomplish. You've come to kinda hitting the middle point of those two ideas when i saw you last year. Old man in the gun. I told you how much i loved. Daniel score that movie. I love this to obviously very very different from what he was doing in that movie. How do you. How did you guys work together on this one that you were you listening to scores for medieval films. How do you decide a little bit. You know. I am a huge fan of his fifth. The on maybe when i was a kid i watched like every day like after school. I was sesame and patrick. Doyle's score for. That movie was something i thought about a lot For this one and other than that. I don't think. I gave daniel really any references and we never worked with tim scores. We always i cut the movie without a score at all. And then i show a german. These starts sending music and usually it takes like one or two tries before we just find exactly what the movie needs like goldman. The gun was like right out the gate we had that score and we couldn't go strictly medieval with it. We couldn't just have a classics. You know minneapolis score. Even though we tried nor do we have and anachronistic score would like full on electronics up. We tried that as well It wasn't until we you know. Daniel wrote the piece for the giants. "And, uh Very good team going so hopefully this really Give us a little bit more momentum, and, um And more. I mean, guys are ready, ready to go in. Civilian take care of business. It is the Martha's Our show. And of course, you know, Caleb, have you like bitten your nails off yet? I mean, this big game is tonight and you know, it's make a break for the Hawks tonight. Yeah, The season is not on the line, but in a series is tied up to two to whoever wins Game five. I think it's like an 80% chance to win. So Um, it's It's very It's a pretty It's a pretty critical game for sure. So what do you think? I think they're gonna win. Really Do I think Philadelphia is kind of on the ropes and, um, I think the Hawks being younger. I think the quick turnaround is going to benefit them. So so that would make it 3 to 2. If they win tonight, Game sixes and I have to win one of the next two. Um okay. So, um, uh so we've got this whole situation going on with the Hawks. But the other thing that's going on is the U. S open that's happening out at Torrey Pines. Torrey Pines used to be A, um, public course It's no longer a public course. And there are this is the one major. The Phil Mickelson hasn't won. So Phil Mickelson did not play, I think last week After his big win a few weeks ago because he's over fifties got to get, you know his body back. It's the same thing we're seeing with Roger Federer and playing competitive tennis. He can do it. You know, it's like the Toby Keith song. You know, I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was. Well, I think you can say in the case of Phil Mickelson, he's better than he ever was. At least once, So we'll see what happens there. But I do have a funny Torrey Pines story where years ago, my husband and I was caddying for my then boyfriend now my husband. And supposedly, I left a five iron on the green. And then he lost his five running and he has blamed it. It has been 40 years more than almost 44 years since that happened. And he still blames me for losing that five iron. So you know it is. It is a bone of contention still in our family about what actually happened to that fire iron? I don't remember leaving it on the green, but I had never carried before, So it's entirely possible. My husband is absolutely sure. That I lost his five iron 44 years ago, but, uh and he never lets me forget it. Guys are always sure that somebody else lost it. Somebody else put it somewhere shouldn't have been put somewhere. Someone stole it. That's always where our minds go immediately. We call that male pattern blindness is what we call that where they don't remember where it is. And the funny thing is Now the kids are gone. We We always had Children to blame their things. Oh, somebody picked it up this and that. But now it's just us at home, So it's got to be either him or me. My favorite as a kid was when I was just all of a sudden, like on a random Saturday. Just hear my dad hollered through the house. Caleb, Where'd you put the remote and then 30 seconds later. He's like, Oh, I just had it in the other chair. Sorry, and I think it's it is funny because my husband like we'll do very Complex calculations on some project he's working on. Okay, He'll write it on a piece of paper, and he'll put it down, like on a counter or something, you know, So he has a little desk that I move everything to the tears. Because he believes that if he wrote that down, he should be able to come back three months later. And it's still there, and I'm I don't do that. So I give I let us stay there a day or two, and then it goes to his desk and move it to his desk. And then he's like, Why did you move that? I said, because I can't leave it there sitting on the counter for three months, it's just not gonna happen. Yeah, I'm terrible about losing stuff like I'm absolutely awful, but generally with a remote. I don't really have a problem because I always just set the remote down immediately after using it, like on the table in front of me, right? I don't understand. These people like These people will take a remote They'll watch one show and the remote is just gone. It's just gone off the face of the earth. I'm like, What did you do? There's only so many places that it could. You could have put it like within the immediate Did you fling it across the room? We call my five year old grandson, the genius and it's because he can break into any code on any remote or phone. Without, you know, in just a few tries, except for the one at his own home, which is 12345. And he hasn't figured that out yet, but every other thing he you know, I can. I'll put the remote on the table. It's supposed to be on and if he's in the house In a couple of minutes. You'll see little fingers coming up from the back of the table to get the remote so that he can figure out how to get to, you know, Blaze. That's what he wants to do. Well, when I was a kid, my parents had a block on our direct TV account. That was like anything higher than PG 13. You had to enter a code for But you know, my mom had me pumper gas a lot. And so I knew her pin for her debit card. And so one day I was like, Oh, the things blocked. Wait a second. This is a four digit code. I've actually used the same code or pin for a debit card. Duke Duke duke. Sure enough, Yep. And I'm in. Took me took me two tries and I got it. That is so crazy. That is so crazy. Well, you can join us on the phone 770535 to 911..

"And i i'm aware of of hot. Starts in occasionally getting vapor lock in there ours are. I've been lucky with the storms. I've never had to have that situation where i'm sitting on the ground gone out. Well it's going to be before. I can get the engine started But i've certainly heard stories about people you know certainly getting in that situation they just got to just got to wait it out but yeah ours. I have been good to us. They'll they'll start up with No more than one or two tries. Yeah lucky you and again look for the especially the folks in the carburetor is. I think it's like a little bit easier. There's a couple of things though especially with the carbon it engine. Sometimes you you start the engine. You used to seeing the some unexpected engine. Indication say oil pressure usually like super high. It doesn't do that so those are the kind of things that you might see as far as some of those hot stars but really one of the things that i really employ you to do is every ever knows. Every airplane kind of starts a little bit different so no your airplane though the airplanes that you rent and get out there and have someone show you how to do a hot start and talk a little bit about it. It's in the manual so also don't remember this. I know some people. Make fun of me when i go into my jet at work and they say well it doesn't affect you. You know the not affected by this. Oh it sure does as far as the the humidity and as far as you know summer flying number one we have to be aware of when temperatures get high enough are because you know we got this big metal airplane wing and we use you anti ice and the equipment. That equipment actually is monitored with a temperature gauge right and a temperature sensor. I should say and that actually can read high and so high that it'll show that we have a leak because member and some of these jets. We have you know hot air bleed air that goes out to the front of the wing and it shows a bleak. Can you know what can't fly with an indication of a bleed leak. So what do we do. we do. Things like Keep the flaps out and the slats out so that it will actually have airflow underneath the slats and the flap so that we don't get primarily the slats obviously for anna which is on the front of the wing. And that's something that you know we do. So don't think just because it's a jet engine that you can't have an issue with with the hot starts in and that type of thing in one of the things that really affects everything. Every airplane is density altitude. There's something that i. I'm kinda curious since i haven't been doing a lot of instructing on the primary but this is something that i really drill into the head of of all. My primary students is determine your density altitude determine your takeoff and landing distance. And i tell you it's a lot of fun to go sit with somebody and say. Hey look if this was if we were ninety degrees today. How long would it take to actually depart this runway. And i know sean you were talking about how it gets where you are and especially down in the valley and all how..

"Salama's like like you very much. Thank you both for for for joining me today. so like i was. We just said we recorded this. Podcast like two three years ago and we had some technical issues so we lost the entirety of the recording. Unfortunately so we're back for round two trying to do this again So thank you again. I guess for agreement comeback. We've had a few of these kinds of who issues in a few weeks and it's frustrating. You know we we get by right. So i guess to kick off with. I think the for context. When i came across your personal story and your father story specifically I was quite alarmed. The fact that this was like going back a few years. But i was alarmed at the fact that i hadn't come across it sooner. It wasn't more prominent in the kind of mainstream And there wasn't talk of this reference of this as a particular case of anti muslim terrorism that had taken place on uk soil. And i think what's again quite alarming is that i only stumbled across it because i was kind of researching and i was trying to prove a point in an article or something that was putting together and i saw this and then i kind of went down the rabbit hole of finding out more and it was just astonishing that i there was no prominence to this so i guess i assumed that a lot of people. Listen this may not have come across yourself or your father story. So would you be able to very briefly. Kind of recap what happened. And how your family's life change in two thousand and thirteen yes of course On the twenty. Nine april twenty thirteen. That's is going to a eight years This year My father mohammed. Salim was eighty two years old at the time and he praised at the local moisture which is green mustard which is at the end of our street. And he's done that most of his life any praise at five times a day to day one so that dodge the mice jed back involve To read always press on this particular night He went to read his issue press and when he left the mosquera roundabout. Tim poston pm on this particular. Actually dad wasn't feeling great. Normally my uncle would does with him to the mosque and comes back and not nine. My uncle had some relatives so he basically said oh. I have to go home with you. Go don't worry i'll walk. You know because he's just not far as just at the end of our road and On this night my phone was followed home and know on the cc tv at one who lives on a street. Not many people will have double glazing. They can hear dot because he's not normally walking in the middle of the road because he's a quiet coup de sac area on these guys walking steak and he's normally hitting a code cannell something on the street and this particular night you can notice on the tv's walking quite fast. And then he crosses over the road to the school gate and he was basically funded home By a neo. Nazi called pablo up shane. Who'd only been in the country for five days and who got british sponsorship. He shook behind. Firstly of the british ambassador. In ukraine then go sponsorships small eve the predominantly muslim area and lived on the premises of dell com-. He followed my father home and this nine stabbed him to death from behind And then he went on a three month bombing campaign air and bombs side now bombed that saw three mosques in also over rampton tipton. This was one of the biggest oxyde terrorism on uk. So yet today your board explained now. Many people have heard the media have played down you know. At the time you know a doug's stanford they. We were prime suspects. That's how how disgusting. A was west midlands. Police say they treated our family. The came to our house and they told his record italian descent. A racist tunc. A we said you know. How can you tell us. It's not racist attack. You know tried to. They look to every other motivated by hate. Crime was never possible motive and you know we were suspects in this case as well and was quite disgusting because he had they not called pablo and we're ready to pin this on one of one of my family members. That's how reporting west midlands. Police were the way they treated us. than they were suspects united muslim household when doing source. You know when you'll pay no respects. Men and women are segregated. They had a male Family liaison officer. Googly is just standing there staring. All of us are looking at us. Like it was us and i do understand. The case is quite high number cases where certain cases off family related. When this particular circumstances they weren't and we made that playoffs and Yeah we had a very challenging time with west midlands police and yeah. We went back to taking complaints seriously. And prior to this six months earlier die My brothers jim who's got jim. Montcalm derided was receiving frightening letters from the house. If you don't close your terrorist jim. Because predominant muslims go there You just wait. What would happen and a lot of these letters. Were going out in the area. We showed those to the place. Could it be linked. But they didn't take any seriously and then six months later for the was murdered and this neo nazi was known neo nazi in ukraine. He's dip retort which add and again. He was making open pound bombs air in the forest. So no neo. Nazi get to british sponsorship counterterrorism. How degree allow these nazis into the country.

"Tell not a bad return he's investment. Roughly thirteen thousand dollars is now currently worth around two hundred and twenty five million dollars not a bad a really when you think about it. If only he could get his hands on it. That's right this map of the week is as much not because he invested in bitcoin but because these poor little sod cannot remember he's password which means his two hundred twenty. four million dollar investment is completely worthless. I don't know whether the love what a cry for him on that one. Well it makes it even more difficult because the pass key is twelve random words so it's not even a password that could be you know could be hacked so he's put the coal out there to say if anyone can help me with my pass key You know i'm happy to do a bit of a with you. So so there have been a couple of people that have come forward. And say all i know i can break it. And now i can crack the code I'll give you can give me ten percent but the issue is he's only got two tries lift correct because you've only got ten to begin with and he's already used either of those two more get. He gets wrong two more times and you'll never get his hands on. It was because he couldn't spell umbrella probably kept on putting i'm burela wrote. It's just rican. No okay so i watched the footage because i sat back and i looked at this. I went really. I come on. And this is a beautiful example of the way the media just tweets something to be to try and smash trump what the meteor gonna do for a living now. Do not know but that's a both of them. Walked off the plane immediately after each other or millennium front looking stunning boys and they get to the bottom of the things step onto the runway couplets dips and pay poses and she does for minuscule of a second. They turned towards the credit he waves. She wonders off now just outside. The camera view is in in fact the car the big black suburban whatever. It's called right there. All she does was walk-off around the car to hop in the car. That's it and by the time she gets to her car door. He has finished into the crowd and he hops into the car as well but the media made it look like they went in separate cars and she stormed off and she's done with him now in the marriage is over and god forbid she's the field her contract and it's it's bloody hilarious is what it is isn't pathetic. Isn't that pretty pathetic. Have you got any News now just the indians one and a motorized on holiday anyway. So there's nothing else to talk about. And the china ivan's just oh shit because whinges. Yeah yeah. I just think that that that these the rules have been put in place they have to abide by the rules. You know it's it's not as not a long time that the and people people complained. The federal government isn't doing enough repatriation to try and bring people who want to come home. It's not just the flights that are the issue. The issue is how many bids are available. Full quarantine yeah. You know what i mean. So these people want to come back into the country like khan because it's all the bids of full of bloody tennis is win in bloody heads off. I'm still trying to piece it together and figure it out but it's so much fun and i would recommend doing it as soon as you can because you will get a party member out of it then to oh you actually do get a good amount of money but you get party members. So it's good. It's good to you know. Get that out of the way. It seems a little daunting at first. But after one or two tries i i started to understand just like the little intricacies of how at least succeed without like you know. Going above and beyond. So that's been working for me. I've been doing that actually. That's actually where. I stopped before we started recording. Here okay Yeah honestly you always had like one major like there's all the mini games and they have one game that they put like They're all into the like. You're gonna be spending a lot of time playing this mini game and that must be the what i can see that being the one There's there oh my god there's the tests. Have you gone to the academy at no. Oh my god there's so much so the there's this academy you can go to to get certain take tests and get certifications which will boost your personality traits. But it's like there's some words like sports sports knowledge There's some words like sagan knowledge general knowledge there was there was one that will boost your knowledge. Your knowledge personality trait one hundred points. So i'm like oh shit. Let me just do this. One goes about like fucking flammables and combustion like regulation in japan. And i'm like there's no way could be that detailed and it's like super fucking detail like how many how. Oh god what was the question. How many Volatile explosives can be handled by a single employee of the state. Under this. this like subco-. I'm like what the fuck is going on with so much. Yeah and then once you take the obviously if you pass the test you'll get a bunch of personality points but it's just it's so it's so nice because that was something i liked persona five was like building your personality but i always felt weird about doing stuff like that because of the limited time here as long as you could afford to take the test you can do it. How many times you want you take them. All if you have enough So again it more power to the user to the player. I feel which i really enjoy. You know what. I realized about this game. That kinda reminds me of what do you do. You watch any john waters movies know. Who's a john. Waters is a director from the seventies and eighties. And i think the a little in the nineties to he's been he's been working his whole fucking life He makes these outrageous trash exploitation cinema films. He makes up. He did like pink. Flamingos polyester female trouble multiple maniacs. All on to me. he's great. He loves baltimore so his whole thing was he liked to gather up a bunch of fucking lovable weirdos and film them in like these crazy fucking situations very light very light on plot but like the again personality really shines his films so you have like divine. Who's i think one of my favorite actors. She's fantastic in all of his films. Stole edith massey. All just pretty much. What i'm getting at is..

Her story is all of the other resources that she's used to do. Even deeper healing. We talk about energy work. Inner child healing topping Rural linguistic reprogramming. Meditation cranial sacred healing and outta jillian really incredible books to read all of which are linked in the show notes. This is proof that healing goes on forever and that your recovery won't look the same forever. Either she is the author of the book fifty ways to worry less now and is retired in florida with her husband. It was an absolute joy to get to know her. Here's digi langer hygiene. How are you. I am great. I'm so glad to be here. And yeah i'm so excited to be having recovery. Happy hour with you today. Thank you for taking the time to to share your story of recovery. I'm going to start this interview. The same way i start every interview and that is what is your name and your sobriety date and would you have described yourself as a high or low functioning drinker when you were drinking langer smy name and my sobriety date is february. Eleventh nineteen eighty six. And i was still a high functioning. I except in the area of romance in the area romance. I was extremely low functioning. I mean are we ever high functioning their love and logic those two things. Just don't mix well well. Why don't we just say that to other people. It looked like i was high functioning dairy cow. Mary go. I think i'll i think all of the above is super relatable before we get into your story. Tell me real quick just about what you're doing right now where you live. How old you are what you do for a living family hobbies anything like that. I'm retired. And i'm a little over seventy and i live in southwest florida. I grew up outside of chicago area and then travelled all over in my rambunctious years twenties and thirties. And most of my time. I've lived in michigan for the last several years just this summer. My husband and i moved down to florida. We have a little condo here. We have our kitty with us. And i don't have any children. Because i couldn't stay married long enough and snow grandchildren. So yeah life is good. I don't know what else you asked me. I think that hobbies. What do you like to do for fun right now. In south florida. Play a little golf You know. I have a blog and a lot of service work and a a nonprofit. I'm on that helps. Connect women in sobriety and i do a newsletter and i'm working on another a workbook for how to worry less and my husband and i play we. We just have a good time yeah. I'm very grateful that is fantastic. We'll let's get into your story and in five ten minutes or less. Tell us how long you drink. Tell us how long it was a problem and why you decided to stop you know. It really wasn't a problem for a long time in high school. I got drunk really drunk once and got deathly ill and had a blackout and everybody said how fun. I was a couple of times in college. I got drunk and did not stupid things. And and then i got married and started a teaching career and and he didn't really drink so i drank very little toward the end of that that it. It's kind of a long story about that marriage. But anyway i was very desperate at the end and i discovered marijuana so in my you know. Twenty three or so. I discovered that marijuana killed the emotional pain that i was going through. I really preferred marijuana. I could drink about six. Or seven beers. You know and i got through grad school by getting high and at night to ease the stress and it was really when i was around thirty four years. Old let's see. I had already been divorced twice. I was finishing my doctorate. I had gotten through that with the aid of drugs and alcohol just to calm anxiety and And i lived with two other guys long term. And so i met this guy who was different from all the other guys and i thought. Oh this is. The john and i moved to michigan and we got married very fast and within nine months of marrying him. I went to a bar picked up a stranger and he had marijuana and i started having this affair. You know with this guy. And and i went out to bars a couple of more times when my husband was traveling. My third house but my new you know went home with strangers. Finally i went running to a psychologist. I said what is wrong. With this problem. I have a brand new phd from stanford. And i have this private cd life and my professional life is looking better and better in my private life was worse and worse and he said well you're in the early stages of alcoholism you know. He got my family history and He said just try for a month or two. Try having one or two drinks but stopping and see what happens. Well sure enough. I tried to do his experiment. And sometimes i have two drinks and stop just like a normal drinker. Other times i would have the two drinks and then it was third drink and fourth rank and pick up the stranger and do crazy things that no one could get me to leave and eventually it. I could see the pattern very clearly. That if i had even one drink i could not trust myself to do really dangerous things for myself and other people

The next Xbox One and Xbox Series X dashboard look strikingly similar

"Microsoft put out some footage of the dashboard on the xbox series x, which looks substantially like the dashboard, the current xbox one. Does they. They've given it a design refresh. It seems like a lot more rounded corners. Gradients and some stuff like that I. Think it Looks Pretty Nice. Honestly wickets. Some of that stuff's made it to the xbox one though, right? Because I think the store layout Dame's dressing late yesterday, they rolled out a new store. Recently. On the XBOX and I believe that will also be the store for the series X. Seems like they're trying to unify a lot of their APPs across the. Ecosystem. Better. Because there's another new XBOX APP on windows, you can get similar apps on your phone and they're trying to. Roll this whole design treatment out to all those to unify the whole thing but. I just like they did with the xbox one. Like you like Metro, tiles right, I think they've learned some lessons since then. Like the biggest lesson they seem to have learned, and like the thing they lead within this xbox wire post is that they're trying to make it faster. They're on straight up quoting speed numbers out there. Let's see. The home screen will load more than fifty percent faster when you put your xbox and almost thirty percent faster to load when you're returning from a game. Furthermore, these improvements use forty percent less memory than what was previously required. Memory usage the certainly the thing that. Game. Players. Here's here's what it comes down to for me when I even on the one x sometimes boot that thing especially if I booted up fresh and it's not just coming from like a previous suspend state. I sometimes can't even get games to load properly at for like a few minutes afterward, I gotta sit there and Hammer on the button, and then it tells you this didn't work for some reason athletes sixty seconds try get like like sometimes when I bought mine, the cursor will not move around the home screen initially have to wait and it'll like it'll it'll queue up like three or four button presses, and then they'll all happen at the same time. I've had that just weirdly unresponsive, but they seem to know that obviously the way that they're talking about this they're trying to. trying to streamline it, and of course, that box is going to be wildly faster than the current ones. So that's going to help us well put like the big revelation here is just didn't make new dashboard. Right, which I guess is the first time this has really happened. Only had three console generations up to this point and also pretty radically different in terms of set up in display. Yeah. But even across all platforms. Yeah, pretty much every council in. History. has launched new interface so for this to. Just be a continuation of what the got. Sort of a break from tradition. But. I guess these new box kind of all about continuity with the old boxes, right. So it kind of makes sense. Yeah.

To Go The eight and a half furlongs. This was a tough one. I thought body. There's a lot of wage going here. Yeah I'M GONNA take a little bit of stab here. I'm I'm wondering. If number one super escape can steal this race. To me. It looks like she's the only true speed in the field. Maybe number seven another time WHO's shown. Very moderate speed at times, but I think if they break evenly. Super Escape is faster. She's been sprinting. Relax too I think she's better routing than she is sprinting. In fact, she's two for two on non turf surfaces. Atta Mile and a sixteenth including one for one on the all weather at Woodbine. She's got the inside post I think she's going to get out and go and her good racers good as anyone else. She's ten to one on the morning line one. I'd be most afraid of is number. Three art of almost Herat Field Emma Jayne Wilson Mason last time out. On the turf at Woodbine and She's run well on turf, or on the all weather axes been in the money, all four starts on the all weather at Woodbine, so I would expect art of almost to be the one who's closing most at super escape. I'm an both of them, but super escape at ten to one interesting. Nice price is price even better prices being at home The Keep in mind by the way the seven another time cross entered in the royal north, so we'll see where trainer Barbara minshull decides to run her daughter of money. She's cross entered in the very next race. That will talk about a minute or so here Like you I wanted to go a little bit of a different direction here I'm GonNa take the six painting for Josie Carroll. It's GonNa hurt her 'cause probably bring her into the race a little earlier as well I I I thought she was a little interesting in he I. Don't know why she hasn't been lot that bugs me. All know why she hasn't been long yet in her career, but I will I'll try and get painting turns Josie. Carroll trains dollar store. Store, Jim, the six painting from me in the trillium race number nine grade to royal north six furlongs. On the turf, the outer EP Taylor Turf Course. Again. We'll see what another time does she to one in the trillium? She's five one of the morning line in this royal north we had a field of nine depending on graduates. And I leaned a number five sister peacock once again thought she might be the speed of the speed. She's got a win. Third Place Finisher tour credit in two tries on the turf at Woodbine.

Most Coronavirus Cases Are Mild, a message to anxious children.

"And she says there really haven't been many cases of coronavirus here yet while there will be more so far most of the cases everywhere else haven't been that bad and a very low percentage of coronavirus cases have occurred so far with children and if they do occur with children they tend to be very mild like mild salsa the other thing that's really important for you to know is that the medical people are on top of it so that they can protect all of us terra Powell told me there are lots of helpers out there lots of helpers yeah lots of people working at the government level at the community level parents also will work to keep you safe so making sure that you're protected from getting sick just like they do with the flu and you also have the power to protect yourself Dr crystal Lewis works at the National Institute of mental health and she helps kids who struggle with anxiety and she says you really need to wash your hands and make sure that you're not sneezing and then touching other people are touching your nose and your mouth or touching other people's noses or mouths not that you would because I mean that would be weird also when you wash your hands use soap and don't just do it for three seconds try singing the birthday song in your head twice while you're scrubbing and if you pick your nose and then wipe it on your desk Dr Lewis says you not only have to wash your hands then you might want to watch your desk terra pals says there's one more thing she'd like your help with you've probably heard that corona virus was first seen in China but she says please don't avoid kids or say mean things about them just because you think they might have a mom or a dad from China or maybe they visited China we all have to remember that just because somebody looks different or talks different doesn't mean they're at a higher risk of getting the corona virus or spreading it either I'm running out of time here so Dr Lewis wants you to know one more thing if you still have questions ask your mom ask your dad you're on to your teacher because a lot of times what you hear in the news what you see on social media even what your friends tell you can make you a lot more scared and anxious and you really

Ed Baig on the Samsung Fold phone

"Hiring isn't easy but there is one place you can go where hiring is simple in smart that place is ziprecruiter where growing businesses connect to qualified candidates candidates try it for free at Ziprecruiter. Dot Com Slash Tech Talk Ziprecruiter. The smartest way to hire Samsung has just released the most expensive smartphone to date nearly two thousand dollars. The Samsung fold finally coming out. Our BEG got his hands on it. He's going to tell us all about so two thousand nearly two thousand dollars for a very large eventual phone worth it. It's hard to say any phone. It's worth nearly two thousand dollars. you know I can't recommended at that price. you're paying. You're you're really looking at an early early. adopter who has a fair amount of money who wants to be the first on the block with something and and it's GonNa pay for that privilege and with that take on the risk of aversion point one. We call version point one. Oh but it's really Samsung second try at this because they were gonNA launch it back in April and of course they were screen issues and other problems that emerged and they had to delay the launch until until now. Why don't you tell people why they'd even be interested in fault well. The idea is that you you have this thing. It's a it's a kind of a Chunky Candy Bar Style phone that you can keep in your pocket rocket like you do any other phone you you like we carry around but you then put out of your pocket and there's a screen on the outside again. It's it's a Nick Candy Bar phone but then you can unfold it and suddenly you have a small tablet with a screen that is seven point three inches lot more real estate than you get even on one of these very large tablet size phones which which have become very common you get all let extra screen real estate so the idea you can have a small talbot but you really carrying around a phone feel like there's a tablet in your pocket or a phone. No no it shall like a phone I mean that's the good news it's it's a bit chunky ways a little more than nine ounces so it's not the latest phone around but it didn't bother me to have it in my pocket. you know I had a bigger objection. Frankly that the price and the actual product itself although the product is not perfect you know and there are times. When you're you know I'm I'm commute on a bus. I'm browsing the web and watching video and it's nice to be able to do that on a screen. That's that's pretty big seven point three inches franchise well. That's the big question you know. They had to postpone the launch again because of issues with with the I attempted this I didn't have any break it. Nothing broke on my watch. I'm happy to report when you open the when you unfold like a paperback and you've got this screen feels a little plastic and you actually see this crease in the middle of the screen where the thing full doesn't bother me that much you kind of get used to it pretty quickly. Samsung claims it has done all the repairs. That will make this thing adorable. I'd I D- Having said that the first thing you see when you actually open the box and then on boxes care instruction sheet with all kinds of warnings don't put too much pressure sure on the on the screen you know you know watch out for for dust and debris and all these things so Samsung is being very cautious here here and it makes you wonder. How fragile is this thing but I'm happy to report in my several days of having one it did not break. We'll see what happens. The phone is available now. Correct yet is available now in the US it actually launched in South Korean some other places before it came out here in the US who asks but is now available in the US. You can get it at eighteen. You can get an unlocked version at best buy but again you're GONNA pay nineteen hundred eighty bucks for it. Already will good luck phone buyers. I'm Jefferson Graham. Asteroid near miss in Australia

"Saturday night right on ash wouldn't not an asteroid comet no meteor a new the size of a car came down in adelaide australia in the middle of the night. It lit up the night sky. They said it was the size of a car and hit the water going seven miles per second. Try to wrap your mind around that seven miles else per second and it's the size of a car. Thank god that didn't hit land. That would take our buildings buildings. People would have died how they measure seven even miles per second. I don't know they do it with a radar to track. What do you mean like a guy yeah they do but they are tracking the distance instance with the with video terry yet but people have worried about this stuff like you know there's a ton of on floating around we have we were doing nothing and to kind of combat this. If it were we do well you could build some sort of net. I mean they should be doing but not aware is going fowler. The track the ones that you can and then the idea is that you hit it just enough that changes course and doesn't wreck an entire city because that's what that's what would happen

DOJ tells Mueller to limit scope of testimony

"It is one of the most anticipated congressional hearings in the years Robert Muller's testimony but what can we expect one of the interesting part about if we have that right off the bat all eyes expected to be on Capitol Hill with the exception of one set of eyes president trump said on Friday that he does not plan to watch former special counsel Robert Muller testimony I for one find it hard to believe I think it's gonna wait and see if Republicans can get some questions in here in regards to the steel dossier whether they get some questions in regards to the anti trump bias in the FBI agents I think all of that is going to become a big portion of the present so rest assured I'll have the split screen only have one screen of the entirety of the Mahler questioning that's going on the mall hearings and then I'll have my my iPhone right there open up to present from Twitter just follow along with one thing there but this is most definitely going to be Democrats are hoping this is going to be must see television moment because we know only three percent of Americans have read all of the Miller report only ten percent of Americans have read some of the mall a report so you're looking at somewhere in the range of ninety seven plus percent that Republicans are hoping to hit with having a live television version of the mall a report here because we know Robert Muller said he's going to limit his talking to everything that is within the four corners of the report and that seemingly is what Democrats want they would be happy with him sitting down like was twelve the night before Christmas opening report and reading from that because they feel like that will give the public an understanding increased understanding of what's actually in the report not the interpretation from the Attorney General not the interpretation from president trump of the interpretation of the Attorney General but from all of themselves so it's going to be interesting for walks like me to kind of watch the questioning going on and how Robert Muller answers not even you know what the answer may be about how he's gonna answer will start to bring up some L. interest elements as to what's going to happen going for here specifically Democrats in August that are running for president as well as how Republicans are gonna be able to tackle some of those questions Miller says he won't necessarily talk about and I don't know that anything new is going to be revealed to you yeah yeah that's what it seems like because I mean if the Republicans can get him to talk about the steel dossier if they can get him to talk about FBI agents then maybe you've got some new information to that's not stuff that in the mall the report right now so if you get that that's fantastic and then I think the other side of that is because you're right there's not going to be a lot of new in regards to this it'll just be Democrats trying to clarify things with Robert Muller I think Republicans can kind of play back a little bit I think they can play a little soft on the questioning of Robert Muller because they've got something on their side public opinion right now public opinion is tilted against impeachment the way it currently stands so they don't necessarily have to go for school on Robert Muller Ali can just let Democrats kind of messed things up or ask confusing questions or get shot down time and time again by Robert Muller and that may be their best approach in this whole thing probably so because I know I know they're they're they're trying to pull this out they've been trying to pull this out since the president got elected and it but I'm I can't help but think that it's going to backfire if they push it too hard yeah I think that's the key and I think your democratic for both sides depending on how you ask the question specifically we're talking about Robert Miller this is not somebody who's kind of surprised to getting a subpoena incoming Robert Muller has had like sixty of these kinds of hearings in his time in office so he knows how this works he knows how to go about it he knows how to play the so this is you're not going to spring something new on it with that and I think with that both sides have to be careful as the way they come across and then at the end because the with let's face it leave you're not going to have ninety percent of America watching this and that's what Democrats are hoping to get but they are going to try to get as each second try to collect as many you know viral clips that they can spread on social media or ones that they can put into the news on some level that will last throughout this month of August when they're off on vacation and more importantly with some of the democratic candidates being able to use this talking points going forward and twenty twenty well indeed and and I know a lot of people think it is a vacation I mentioned a little bit of it is but as senator Lankford just mentioned earlier in the program he's gonna be spending time going around the state talking to people which I think most of the constituents especially the ones up for election should be doing thank you for the update to Michael Bauer on newsradio
