"Yeah it's my very point that Raytheon and Lockheed Martin and Mike Pompeo were already sanctioned by the previous law and it looks like it will continue. Now it's time for global news. All right it is 12 and a half minutes past the hour let's get to Dan Schwartzman. Dan is looking at more details emerging as here to the intentions of the Wagner Group's Yevgeny Prigozhin, was what he up to, what he was trying to do. Dan Schwartzman has more from New York. Brian keep getting that popcorn ready because every day the stories continue to take twists and turns. The latest is this, western officials are saying that Wagner mercenary group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was planning to capture Russia's military leadership during his short -lived mutiny last weekend. Sources say Prigozhin had to speed up his plans as Russia's domestic intelligence agency had of learned his plot. The oligarch had originally intended to capture defense minister Sergei Shoigu and the chief of Russia's general staff Valery Gerasimov during their scheduled visit to the southern region that borders Ukraine. That plot though was foiled as a country's Federal Security Service or FSB as they're known found out about the plan two days in advance. Western officials also say that Prigozhin had conveyed his plot to some senior military leaders including the head of aerospace forces Sergei Sirovikin. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy elections says scheduled to take place next year will only occur if martial law is lifted. State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel explains. We continue to stay in close touch with our Ukrainian partners. It's also an opportunity I'd remind you that martial law is only in place because Russia continues to wage a full -scale illegal war against Ukraine President Biden was in Chicago today unveiling his economic policies that have been now named by an announcing his three -step plan to grow the economy first making smart investments in America educating second and empowering American workers to grow the middle class and promoting to competition lower costs to help small businesses Biden in Chicago as the mayor of the city Brandon Johnson urged residents to wear masks as the air quality in the city had turned to unhealthy levels due to the wildfires in Canada other cities such as Detroit Indianapolis Cleveland Buffalo and Pittsburgh are all experiencing poor air quality while the air in the Midwest will be improving starting Thursday the mid -atlantic region is now expected to get worse in places like Washington Baltimore alerts have also been issued in New York City Long Island New Jersey as a smoke is drifting towards those areas jurors were sworn in earlier today in the London courtroom as the trial of two -time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey is set to get underway with opening statements on Friday the 63 year old is facing a dozen charges of sexually assaulting four men between 2001 to 2013 Spacey at the time was living in England and serving as the artistic director of the Old Vic theater London in the trial is expected to last somewhere around four weeks global news 24 hours a day powered by more than 2 2700 journalists and analysts in more than 120 countries. I'm Dan Schwartzman. This is Bloomberg. I'm Brian Curtis along with Rashad Salama. We are here in Hong Kong and Kim Forest is our guest founder and CEO of Bokeh Capital Partners. Simple question Kim. Can we as investors look beyond the Fed now? Well listening to your last segment I think that's a resounding yes. At least the Fed you know the central bank of the U .S. the other ones are out you know they're in a different category they're still raising but if it's one two or even like craziness three more raises that we have I can't imagine that can get it much higher you know that it's going to affect the psychology of investors. We're already in the higher interest rate environment. We have decided that we can tolerate owning stocks in this environment and more importantly we've decided we're going to buy more stocks than we did. You know we're in the mood to buy more than we did at the beginning of this year. As crazy as that sounds but it looks like the market wants to go higher each and every day I sit behind my desk. But certainly at the moment Kim mean I we are looking at interest rates which are really returning to a mean reversion if we could put it that way. Oh golly you're getting a sensitive subject for me. I think then like physical kind of models you know like you throw bowling ball out of a window and it falls at a certain rate. I'm not sure the economy works like that. I think that people adjust to whatever era they're in and make decisions accordingly and I don't necessarily believe we ever get back to that golden day of you know five percent interest rates from here on out. It's going to wait. This is a system with many moving parts and it's only gotten more complex as the world has gotten joined together through globalism. Yeah. I don't want to get too far ahead of the skis on this point that the economy and investors are you know easily ending higher interest rates. I mean we talked about the banks passing the stress test. They passed that test but they haven't passed the stock market test. The KBW Bank index is down 22 percent year to date. A lot of the gains have been kind of isolated in a smaller number of companies. That does appear to be changing now but does that continue? Can you see a broadening out so that everybody sort of reaps some of the gains? Well I think you've put your finger right on the sore spot of the US economy and that's banks. I don't know that anybody's super comfortable owning a smaller bank their because balance sheets are a little on the opaque side. If they do have commercial real estate how good is it and what is going to happen to it? That's the big question here. But I do think in other areas like industrials and even consumer discretionary, I think investors are going to get more comfortable owning those names looking at how strong the economy is and how it is not slipping into recession nor does it like look it's going to in the immediate future. All right. Well, Kim, what does this also mean for stocks at least as we now enter the window dressing period at the end of the quarter and what do you expect? How does the next quarter begin? Well, I'm pretty happy. I call this week and next week pre -announcement season because every week has to have its own name and I'm trying to be funny there, but seriously, I've been looking for pre announcements from companies and not seeing them.

"Every dog has his day and disable belongs to the huskies. Earlier on the show. ESPN college basketball analyst, Jay Phyllis. Coming up. ESPN senior NBA writer, Brian winters, two time Academy Award winner, Ben Affleck. And now it's rich eisen. Yes, indeed. Our number two of the rich eisen show as you just heard are show open here on the Roku channel in SiriusXM and Odyssey and also this rich guys in show terrestrial radio affiliate the voice that you just heard announcing who's coming up and who was on and you hear her voice every single day, Aaron Sheehan and she has been the voice of this show for every single day that we've been on the air since 2014. She's going to be joining us as a guest at the end of this hour because she, as you probably heard on the Dan Patrick show because she is the better half of seat in O'Connor. She picked UConn to beat San Diego state in her NCAA tournament. Unbelievable. This is the rich eisen show. That's her. And so you will hear the familiar voice of somebody on this program at the end of this hour, I can't believe definitely won her bracket competition. Absolutely. Susie Schuster sitting in the space for Chris brockman as he is off with family today. Good to see you soon. I'm excited to hear her voice when she's not voicing over. Okay. Does she sound like that? We will hear? Is that she does? That's even cooler. I hope so. DJ Mikey D is indeed not sitting in his spot. TJ Jefferson good to see you over there. Joining us here at the top of our number two is we're now turning the page from college to association basketball. It is time it is time for the nitty and the Gritty. The Lakers tonight are taking on the Utah Jazz. They're two games above 500. This is a team that we thought might not make the play in tournament. They might not need the play in tournament to make the playoffs. It is wild what's happening there in the Western Conference, joining us as always, our favorite from the worldwide leader in sports Brian windhorst, how are you doing, Brian? Hi, rich. I mean, when darvin ham said about a month ago, we're targeting the 6th seed. And the 6 seed with a mavericks. And everyone's thinking, well, good luck to the Lakers, making the 60. Well, they made me make the 6 seed and the Mavericks may miss it entirely. I can't believe what's happened over the last several weeks, Brian. Yeah, well, part of it is the west is just having a bit of a scrambled season. This is not the way it's been for most of the last 20 years. And so I would say, don't confuse everything being bunched up for everything being good. One of the reasons why the Lakers have this still opportunity is because the teams that have been in front of them haven't been very good. All of the western teams have some sort of weakness that could end up being fatal to them. But look, this is not the 7, 8 years ago when you had the warriors winning 73 games and the team right behind and having KD and Russell Westbrook in their primes. That's not the case. And so the Lakers have taken advantage of that. And what I'll say about the Lakers is this. If you want to look, I think there are 40 and 38. If you want to look at them as a 40 and 38 and you can and if you want to discredit their chances of doing anything, I don't mean you specifically. I understand. So my colleagues kind of get annoyed with how much we talk about the Lakers and usually I'm in that camp. But not anymore because this is not a 40 and 30 18. This is a 14 and 17. That's the team's record since they made the Westbrook trade. And you might say, well, 14 and 7, that's no great shakes, and I'd agree with you except for in the west this year. If you were 7 games over 500 for the whole season, you'd be right on the Phoenix Suns to be in fourth. And you go back and look the Lakers started this season. Two in ten, because it was embarrassing design of a team. And since that time, their ten games over 500 and again ten games over 500 in the west would have you like right there with the kings and third. So this is just a better team than their seed and their record shows. And that 14 and 7, a lot of it was without LeBron. That's right. And Anthony Davis was skipping some games in there like he skipped the game in Houston. If they lost a few weeks ago and had they won that game, for example, they would be in 5th right now. So they are just a potent team in an impotent Western Conference and I think they are worth paying attention to and the games tonight and tomorrow. The night they play the jazz in Utah. Hard game end of road trip, tough one to win, but look, they're hot. They've won 5 in a row. Tomorrow at home against the clippers, who have beaten them ten times in a row. These two games, in my opinion, are the two biggest Laker games since the bubble when they were in the finals. Certainly if you're a Lakers fan, you may disagree. You will say, well, what about the 2021 playoffs? When they played the sons and were up to one and then AD got hurt and they lost the series. I don't think they were winning that series with all due respect.

"TurboTax really is like dummy proof. They truly are put this file here. It will have this at the top. It's literally it's like clippy from Microsoft Word. It's like, and then it's like, you do this. And then you do it and they go, are you sure? And every single time I hit submit until I get an email or a letter confirming it, I am terrified. I'm going to go to jail for tax fraud. Somehow. I do it. It's so simple. I do not, my W two is very simple. And yet, I think because I just don't understand why I'm having to do all this and all of these things. It is terrifying. And it's like, I don't even have complex taxes, but yet. It still gives me anxiety. I mean, it's like everything's doing like two weeks, so you better do it. Yeah. Oh, I do have to do that. Yeah. But think about how sir that is. I have to pay a service of money to pay the government money. This is a racket. There's going to be a better way here. Do they guarantee you're not going to go to jail? They do have an audit. Coverage thing that you can create to pay for. I mean, you can be like, for only 50 more dollars, you can have an audit protection service added on to your filing, but anyway, if you get flagged that they would cover your audit for you. But anyway, they are working on. I saw a bill being introduced, have a truly free option for Americans to file their taxes. Because it's true. Right now, it's a racket. You have to pay somebody 30 to 50 bucks to just file your taxes. And it's ridiculous. So anyway, yeah, stack season kids. You got two weeks. Get on it. All right, what do you have, Emily? Yeah, so the directors of the recent movie Jesus revolution, Andrew and John Irwin have announced that the record setting hit Jesus revolution who saw that coming, by the way. Very good movie. One of the things just like I want to say this camera and we were like, where were you all these times? I went to the premiere in LA for that movie. Oh, interesting. We went to the set while they were filming that movie. So I know. Yeah, so Jesus revolution, awesome, great. Everyone's excited about it. And the directors are already looking forward to their next movie, and this time they have announced that two time Academy Award winner, Hilary Swank, will be starring in it. What? Yeah. It's the movie is called ordinary angels. It's based on a true story. And Hillary swank is set to be the lead, which is just really cute. I think it kind of shows the success of these kind of movies, like these aren't. For so long, Christian movie, just to be on no one knew who any of the actions were in any of these movies. And sorbo is a national legend. What are you talking about? They're having these huge names that want to be a part of it. And so I think it's a really exciting, I think, step to see kind of where the evolution of Christian moves are going. She's a great actress. So I think that's going to just really bring up the caliber of the movie. So I'm excited to see it. I'm interesting. And they have a good track record. It's going to be in October. So this was actually already in motion even before Jesus revolution was a hit. One of the interesting things I learned about Jesus revolution in the article, which is unique. Zooming out, what usually happens with these Christian movies is somebody raises money. They shoot this low budget Christian movie. It's not too bad. They go find a distributor. Lionsgate or Sony or somebody will get it into theaters. So lionsgate is who got Jesus revolution into theaters. What I learned in our article is that wasn't what happened with Jesus revolution. Lionsgate actually came in at the beginning and was part of the funding and everything of this. They saw the script of movie called Jesus revolution and said, we're going to make this movie. That's crazy. It's like the actual studio film Jesus revolution. It's not like a little self funded Christian low budget movie. That's different. And so that's why it's kind of remarkable. And now they immediately are now doing this Hillary swank movie. It's the same filmmakers and stuff. So this is kind of a new lane for Christian filmmakers. It's like actual studio films that are faith based movies. So that's why it's a higher caliber, it seems like anyway, very cool. All right, what do you have, Jamie? Okay, this is good news for us guys. We may be having to file taxes and all these things. According to the annual world happiness report, which coincides with the recent international day of happiness, here's the good news, guys. People are actually slightly happier than they were before the pandemic began. Does anyone feel that in your own personal life? In a way, yes, because I think the pandemic forced me to address a lot of things I was not happy with because I had all this time on my hands to really assess what was going on. Before the pandemic, I was in a very different job, city, all of that, where I am now, has changed a lot. And I would say, I'm much happier. That you're happier. Okay, well, the report suggests that one key factor is our ability to care for one another in difficult times. So according to the survey, benevolence to others has risen by around 25% since the pandemic began. That is good. We are taking care of our fellow humans, positive emotions have remained twice as prevalent as negative wines and feelings of positive social support are twice as strong as those of loneliness. So in the midst of a million studies coming out right now about mental health, the world happiness report says that actually people are a little bit happier on the other side of a global pandemic that was really, really terrible for a lot of people's lives. Now, I want to tell you this too. You guys know the happiest nation in the world. Finland might have read this. Finland. I was just guessing. Are you serious? Oh, you were just guessing no. I've seen that on a show or something. I've just heard that out. I think it's really the happiest nation for a couple years now too. I was watching Phil or something like that. And he was in Finland and mentioned it. Yeah, 6 year in a row, Finland came in, followed by Denmark and Iceland, which I would love to visit Iceland now that I know this. I definitely want to go the U.S. came in at number 15, which is one step up from the previous year. So it's some good news. There's some challenges around the world, obviously, Ukraine has seen a decline because of what's been going on in the past couple of years with them. For obvious reasons, but all in all, people are saying that people are nicer now. And it could be because of the pandemic.

"Oh, absolutely. I mean, everybody, you know, I mean, yeah, I mean, I was watching in 1923 the other night and Harrison Ford gave this model. It was just incredible. You know, and he did it in such a way, you know, that was just perfect, right? But Taylor gave him the words to do that. But it's like, who doesn't want to be a part of that? And I think also like what I was saying before, a lot of the film actors and TV guys that I've been talking to on our set that have been there for a long time. There's just a comfort in knowing that if Taylor says that it's good. And it's going to be good, right? When he says, okay, we're moving on. You're not like, oh, shit, did I get it right? Or whatever, you know, you're like, yes, perfect. Yeah, he's happy. You're happy. Yeah. Yeah, I get it. I get it. What part of Robert do you share as far as the character to you in real life? Do you share any common qualities? All right, I think we kind of look similar and that's sort of I set myself up for that one. Yeah, you guys are right. It's strange how much you guys look alike. I knew people growing up in my life that were close to me that were a lot like Robert and without the violence. The way that I see Robert is that he is sort of like a very talented person who lives in his zone of genius, you know? He's always, he lives in this place where he's able to flow with immediate action. And. So I don't know, yeah, so I started to emulate that. He doesn't make a wrong decision from this point of view. He's just like, that is what we do now. And the casting is perfect. You're a perfect in what you're doing. And the fact that Diane wiest is doing this, I mean, she's a two time academy. I knew she won one. I didn't know she won too. This is insane that all these top actors are all the way, like she won two Academy Awards. Do you know how enormous that? I mean, you know how it is, but those listening, you know? I mean, that's incredible. She's an incredible background. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's amazing, man. I mean, it's just such a, I just feel so grateful. I feel so blessed, you know, just to be, this was the ambition. You know, like always to be part of a top tier creative project like this one, you know? And when I get there from everybody who's working on it in a holistic sense, you know, in front and behind the camera and all that stuff, it's just top tier all around. And it's just an amazing thing to be a part of. And when I get to watch, when I watch the episodes, I'm like, oh my God, it just looks so fantastic, you know? Yeah. Yeah, a couple more questions, man. Thank you so much for all this time. I really appreciate it. Let me ask you this. Do you think does Robert break the law enforcement enforcing the law you think? I mean, I think that Robert, it sort of depends on what law you're talking about, you know? Yeah.

Rap's lawyers accused space of lying on the stand and lacks accountability. Space he was a two time Academy Award winner who was a major star before being dropped on his TV show House of Cards. Rap is a regular on star trek discovery, a TV show, and was on the original Broadway play rent. October 2017, Spacey came out as gay. He's been bisexual, or identifies as being a gay man. That same time rapper Q Spacey of sexually assaulting him. Now, Spacey faced charges in Massachusetts that he groped the man at a bar, but those allegations were dropped. Three months ago in London, charge of sexual assault allegations against three men on 12 from O four, the 2015, all pleaded not guilty. Now, here's one thing that kind of threw me off 'cause, you know, you talk about when these actors getting some type of trouble. So a judge, a proved and arbitrator's decision toward the creators of House of Cards. $30.9 million from spacing because he violated his contract by sexual harassing crew members. Oh. But spacia has went through an appeal. So we're going to see what's up with that. Because I'm like, Dan Spacey, you want to run it like that? Your beast, man. I'm talking about that underused super organ between your ears. It's estimated that we use only a small fraction of the true potential of our brains. And if you need more motivation, think about this, everything you see in the world around you was created in somebody's head. That means the three pounds of gray matter you now own was responsible for taking us out of the Stone Age into the age of computers and rockets. So how much heavy lifting are you doing these days? On national train your brain day get crackin. Even if it's only lifting a pencil to your favorite puzzle. On this day in 1775, the second Continental Congress formally established what would become the United States Navy. The most famous American captain from this era was John Paul Jones. In 1779, he engaged the British 44 gun Royal Navy frigate serapis, with his ship burning and sinking Jones refused to surrender, and he uttered the now famous words I have not yet begun to fight. And it turns out he was right. Three hours after making this declaration, the British ship surrendered to him and Jones took command. On our navy's birthday, we celebrate the men and women who carry on the fighting spirit of captain Jones. It takes some chutzpah, right? Yes. Thank you, John. The dalmatian dog has a long history of being known as a fire pup. This goes back to the early 1700s when fire trucks were actually horse drawn carriages. Dalmatians have a natural affinity with horses and were trained to run ahead of the rig to keep the roads cleared. Once they arrived, fire pups both calmed the horses and watched over the valuable carriage while firefighters did their job. Dalmatians were excellent companions back at the station where they bunked with the horses and earned their keep catching mice. This breed is known for their grace under pressure and one other feature that made them easy to spot. Yuck yuck yuck. Today they mostly tag along as mascots to those teaching fire safety. Today we celebrate fresh breath and a fall tradition. While chewing gum may seem like a modern invention, it's actually been around for 9000 years. The ancient Aztecs shoots something called chicle, although they had to follow certain rules of etiquette. Children and unmarried women could chew it in public, but everyone else had to chew it at home. She clay became the main ingredient in chewing gum in the mid 1800s, but it wasn't until the early 1900s that gum became popular. That's when William Wrigley junior launched an all out campaign mailing free samples of his gum to every person in the phonebook. Apparently, this move paid off big. On national chewing gum day, celebrate the freedom to chew wherever you please. Though keeping it quiet is still appreciated. Children and unmarried women could chew it in public? Don't ask. This seems kind of weird, doesn't it? Was Saul is an old Norse expression that literally means be you healthy? Was Allen was an old English drinking ritual of warming cider with spices and other ingredients to ensure a good harvest of cider apples for the following year. Now that's thinking ahead. In ancient Roman times, they mauled wine in the same way. Now that sounds like a good excuse for a drinking game. There are lots of recipes for hot mauled cider that include orange peel cinnamon nutmeg and cloves. Now that sounds like a recipe to chase away the cold. On hot mulled cider day, brew up your own favorite recipe and drink to your health. What's up? Do you think they said it that way? No. Old Norse times? Unless there was some alcohol. We're just inspired by a commercial, that's all. There you go, John, saying it, babe. I'm in a dip here. Hi, Marlo Anderson. Thanks for joining us as we celebrate every day. Called John babe.

While hot chocolate has been around in one form or another for thousands of years, it's believed that chocolate milk came from 17th century Jamaica. Sir Han Sloane and Irish botanist was given a post here to serve an English duke. While mixing with the locals, he discovered a drink made of cocoa and water that he described as nauseating. By substituting milk for the water, he created a much smoother concoction that he later brought to apothecaries in Europe, where it was used as a medicine. And while chocolate milk may not be considered a health food on national chocolate milk day, we remind you that some foods feed your body while others feed your soul. "Today. I know it's a big day. Just Weeden is 57. He's the one behind the Avengers movie agents of Shield. Creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, and also apparently huge, huge A hole. Yeah, possibly a real big creep. Mhm. He's a gal Gadot's said that he threatened her career on the set of Justice League when he came in or no. Yeah Justice League when he came into, I guess finished the film after Zack Snyder dropped out of it. And, uh, some other people have since come out and backed up. Other accounts that he's a giant a whole. Sort of abusive to actors. And thanks It's an interesting time that we live in when people are finally pushing back on those that abuse others, especially those that they're quote unquote in charge of Good to see. Yeah, that's always fun. The sad thing is, there's still plenty of instances where those types still go unchecked. Yeah, yeah, yeah, even with, uh, you know, people speaking out, sometimes it can be hard to Really, you know. Make an impact, but eventually, almost always eventually. Those things sort themselves out. They do. Also, Frances McDormand is 64. She's a two time Academy Award winner for best actress, one for Fargo and two for three billboards outside Ebbing Missouri. Randy Jackson from former American Idol judge is 65. It's still still farmer Glenn Danzig from the misfits. And, of course, Danzig. He is 66 today. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is 73. Ted Shackelford. He played Gary Ewing on the Dallas spinoff Knots landing. He is 75. That's it, and I'm sorry. When when you do something? Seemingly so obviously stupid. I really question everything about you Don't make fun of call like that. I'm talking about the governor. Oh, yeah, that too. Oh, God, God. He's not a handful of just moronic things in the past three days, so this one though, to me, takes the This one to me is one that really bothered me? Governor Abbott vetoed a bipartisan bill. Aimed at providing more protection for dogs left out sort left outdoors and from animal cruelty. Senate board Senate I swear to God I talked for living Senate Bill 4 74 or the Safe Outdoor Dogs Act would have prohibited the use of heavy chains to restrain a dog. Owners would have been punished for leaving dogs without drinkable water or adequate shelter. Some cities in Texas like Dallas and Plano, already have ordinances that prohibit tethering. However, the bill would have made the rules state wide. Abbott defended his decision, saying Texas already has enough statutes that protect dogs from animal cruelty. He said this would compel every dog owner on pain of criminal charges to monitor things like the tailoring of the dog's collar. The time the dog spends in the bed of a truck and the ratio of tethered a dog link this measure from the tip of the notes of the base of the tail. Texas is no place for this kind of micromanaging and over criminalization. Isn't that exactly what he did with the whole voting thing to? Uh huh. Micromanaging and yeah, over criminalization. The Texas Humane Legislation Network is a nonprofit that lobbies to stop animal cruelty. Their executive director said they're extremely disappointed in this decision. He says, governor hours or she says Governor, Abbott says that the current Texas statute already protects but dogs but this bill, which was carried with active support from sheriffs, Listen to this. Listen to this very carefully this bill that the governor veto Had active support from sheriff's law enforcement and animal control because it would have clarified vague language that makes the statute completely unenforceable. Well, to me. It's obvious that that Abbott and honestly a fair amount of the Legislature don't care what law enforcement has to say. Because during the, uh the permit, let's carry debate. Almost every single law enforcement agency sent somebody to Austin. Say. Hey, please, No, We don't want this. This is a bad idea. Stop believe we're cops were Second Amendment fans. You can see it. We carry it around right on our hip. Don't And yet Abbott and all the state legislatures just ignore them entirely. So this is part of what I mean by one of the dumbest things that I that I've seen Governor Abbott do because when I say this was a bipartisan bill This is one of the very few things coming through our legislature this session that was actually bipartisan that had support a vast majority of support from both the left and the right. I'm gonna give you the exact numbers. The Texas Legislature. Before it was vetoed by Abbott passed in the Senate. This bill 28 to 3. House 83 to 32. And he vetoed it because it's micromanaging and over criminalization. He's an idiot. I'm sorry. This is why I say this is stupid because someone on your staff if you work like if I'm the governor, someone on my staff needs to tell me. Hey, if you do this, this is going to be ugly. We're going to get backlash on this for reasons. A B and C and because if he did this now you have a hashtag training that, says Hashtag. Abbott hates dogs. This is why you designed the thing politically, You sign it, So you just don't look like a giant hole because now At the radical left or whatever can corner Governor Abbott into hating animals. And I'm sorry at this point. I don't have a whole lot of other evidence to the contrary. Tell me Tell me something that that proves otherwise. At this point. From what? I've no of this bill, you're pretty much okay with someone leaving their dog tethered outside in this heat with no water. As long as they see fit, which is not right. So there's so many other, uh There's so many other bills that Abbott vetoed. He vetoed a total of 20 this legislative session and I'm waiting through some of them and smooth, sound fantastic. And I guarantee this wasn't like the dog bill wasn't the only bipartisan thing that passed. Some things are just common. Effing sense alcohol to go past and we gave we gave Abbott all the kudos in the world for passion, exactly. But are signing that all the other dumb ass things that he decided against House Bill 26 67 rural broadband assistance would have provided Universal service to fund high cost rural areas. So if you're out in the sticks because dude parts of friggin Forney Can't get good quality broadband parts of Frisco. Exactly. It's ridiculous, and things like this would help alleviate that. Ah, let's see Baba Bum for schools. Oh, my God! Oh, Uh, uh. Senate Bill 36, creating a higher education task force focused on mental health services and hazing. You're saying you don't want to high schoolers to to, you know? You're saying you want a high schools to get hazed? You're saying you want them to be bullied and stuff. You don't want to deal with a bunch of crap. The attack ads right themselves. Now in some of these instances, I you know, I'm with it. If if if there's certain legislation that's redundant or just outright unnecessary, because there's already something else that addresses it. That's fine. I'm fine with that. But this is one of those laws. Where it clarifies vague language because we've heard of instances before because we've talked to cops that that have gotten calls. Saying from a neighbor. Hey, there's this dog looks malnourished. It's chained up outside. Doesn't look like as any water or anything. And the officers. Because the language in the law is vague. They can't always do something about it. Legally. If it's a hot car, they can do something. But chained up outside for a couple of days with with nary a simple water. That's a little gray and the governors like that's fine. Was it grouped into other bill? Other stuff in the hill? Nothing. It was stand alone on its own. Now, uh, There's one there's another one that has local implications to it was that the Grand Perry, chief of police went to Austin and asked for help in passing. Uh, let's see Senate Bill 11 09 requiring Texas middle and high schoolers to take lessons on resources on family violence, dating violence and child abuse. So it's anti dating violence. It's specifically designed to help Curb a easily, uh, addressable form of violence, Domestic violence. Uh, is this a school program? Yes, My guess is he probably vetoed it because he says this is something that schools shouldn't be involved in. That's my guest. Schools are already teaching sex education. It's okay to add an additional, you know. 20 minute chapter.

"The last half hour we shared our conversation with two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank. And the director of her new movie, Chicago's very own Deon Taylor. Very interesting conversation. Not only about this nor thriller that they do, but I think also very, very interesting. About theaters opening up in the future of whether or not we'll be going back to theaters. What they both had to say was, I thought very, very interesting. We'll post that up on the Web, so you could watch that later. Hillary in this movie stars with Michael Ealy. Been in a whole variety of films, comedies, dramas, just everything. I mean, this is an actor who could do a lot in this movie he plays. Sports agent goes to Vegas with four bachelor party has a one night stand, returns back to his home and wife on whom he's just cheated. And that night. There is a home invasion and the detective who was investigating the home invasion is the woman from the one night stand. And she ain't going away. She's just is not going away. It's very fatal attraction like I don't think it's quite as solid Azaz fatal attraction, but it's still a good movie. I still enjoyed it, and I certainly enjoyed their performances in this movie. And we talked with Hillary and Dion on the zoom. Likewise with Michael, he'll think I'm gonna start calling you Chameleon man because you put Michael Ealy into any kind of genre any kind of role you knock it out of the park E mean, is that your intention when you choose your roles? That might have been the highest compliment I've ever received. Ever genuinely appreciate that. Thank you. Because You know you try. That is kind of the That's the goal, right? Like, you know, you know the actors that I respect growing up and that I still respect to this day are the ones that You might not necessarily be movie stars, but are able to kind of just blend in and just do anything you know, like a Philip Seymour Hoffman or don Sheetal type of actor like those guys, I just I just love them so much. And so that chameleon comment like that is that is Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, that that Z by design. You know what? I'm gonna throw a couple of other names into that mix like a Tom Hanks. I just watched him to a western, which I never saw before a Jimmy Stewart who did comedies and dramas and everything but he CEO I'm And you are you are you are the You Know the guy here, my friend. That's appreciate that. I mean, you know You know, I'm just trying. Tomo. Obviously you want to bring your a game And then when you work with Hilary Swank, you want to try and bring your double a game. Uh, and, you know, I think she's uh, She's phenomenal. She's so intense and she's so like Dialed in that you know you You have no choice but to show up on Bring it. What does that mean to you? When you you know when you go into any movie, really, and you're acting partners in the movie If you're working against the two Time Academy Award winner does that Does that mean something different to you? I think the key is to not be intimidated by it, right. You know, I think accolades can sometimes separate us. And you know, at the end of the day if we're both on a stage and we're both on a set We birth. We both earned the right to be there, and we should act accordingly. Now, none of this was a problem with Hillary. Hillary doesn't act like she's above anything. She's very much a giving actor and very dialed in and very human and normal and it was fantastic to work with her. On Again If I'm not intimidated by you, then I know I'm in a zoo long as I'm giving the space and I could breathe and play. Then, hopefully we we jam well together, and it just becomes like like jazz and a lot of ways, And it just becomes much more fun. Much more fun than anything else..
