"Season that that was one hell of a play for a variety of reasons serene if you watch closely you'll see he wasn't on his back foot he wasn't on is good for he was on no fought he was in the air both feet off the ground when he threw that ball that's your strength pattern homes has so we've got to some prop bets as we get ready for the regular season will work for the pre season then the games the cow roll along the prop bets for most passing touchdowns my homes is a three to one favorite Aaron Rogers Matt Ryan and Andrew luck are at six to one who would you take out of that group I'm not betting against Patrick well homes with Tyree kill coming back if Tyree Canada been there may be but it I don't know that Patrick my homes reaches fifty again but it's really hard to bet against him with the weapons he has on that offense yeah I I agree with you especially retiree kill available me call hard man the guy that they drafted at the time we thought to replace Tyree kill for twenty nineteen maybe he's the long term replacement if they decide they don't want to pay Tyree kill the money the wants either way plenty of weapons for Patrick my homes even though defense is gonna be obsessed with stopping him they're not gonna be able to automatically do it I think the patch will homes will end up with more touchdown passes than anyone else this year let's flip it around let's go negative most interceptions thrown Ben Roethlisberger Jameis Winston Kyler Murray Philip rivers and Sam Donald each at nine to one which of those guys stands out to you can I pixel line not on the list I think he's going to lead the league I think it's gonna be lie manning and then at that point they're going to pull the plug on the line manning and you know he just doesn't have the weapons that he had with Odell Beckham gone so I'm I'm going with the light on this one and and I understand he might not play long enough because every song on interceptions Dana Jones is probably gonna be in there but I think they're gonna leave him in there long enough that he he's gonna lead the league in interceptions yeah I I don't think they're gonna leave men there long enough to have enough interception so someone else does and beat him it all comes down to when they flip the switch in in two thousand four remember they were five in for Kurt Warner was the quarterback in and out of the blue in came the lie manning what's your over under going to set up a separate prop it here what's your over under on which week they flip for me I managed to Daniel Johns the over under on that let's go week eight middle season so you're saying that in the half of the season you are manning is gonna throw enough interception to be the league leader for the full season yeah I think yeah all right out I'll say more member that were for later but the thing is things happen so fast we can write a policy that you'll never be able to because we'll forget about and we will have moved on let's move on to I know let me give you my take on this with interceptions I don't think it's going to be Donald because I think Adam gase is gonna work wonders with my don't think it's going to be Ben Roethlisberger it I could see James Winston supposedly is and make a bunch of mistakes this year but they have yeah I I don't wanna say Kahlenberg is a one column or to be good but I also think that that he's going to go through some growing pains I Hey Peyton manning set the single season rookie record for interceptions so it's good company if Colin Murray ends up throwing the most interceptions all go ahead and say calamari alright most receiving yards the Mante Adams at seven to one gentry Hopkins fifteen did to Travis Kelsey at eight to one of our efforts Amari Cooper who told me he wants two thousand yards who do you like out of this group or you can go off the board no I think it's going to be done Hopkins this year you know he's got under the radar a little bit when people start name of the top receivers in the NFL they don't always go immediately to the Andre Hawkins and I I I just think he's a great receiver who makes a ton of great catches his very consistent who's always on the field and I just think he's going to put up some great numbers this season and I miss read it's receiving touchdowns not receiving yards same answer same answer neon Hopkins is my answer yeah and I don't disagree with that because I think that Aaron Rodgers out will regard him as his number one target and we'll get the ball to him it is still good enough to make that happen most yards from scrimmage this year sick on Barclay five to one Christian McCaffrey six to one and then Todd Gurley and leaving on bell back at thirteen to two I personally think it's gonna be sick all Barkley although I could see McCaffrey given a run for his money literally yeah I wanna say Zeke but I don't even know if it's going to be there so I'm going.

"So. Yes. Mclovin. Quick argument for Vince Carter won the all-star vote four times. Same numbers Kobe right behind LeBron. He's the most popular player of those. Yeah. Definitely popular. That's something. I would be Vince. Obviously, you get the jump over Frederick vice another WBZ. Yeah. But that. Vinci's everything he was so exciting. Turkey Turkey are not exciting. There's nothing. Their classic not exciting. Yes. For about having that ring, and you're forever. Just like when you win the Heisman or you're a hall of Famer, you're always NBA champion Dirk. And that's to me. Vince, unfortunately, is the number three spot just because of the rings of cagey and by the way. I do have an answer to my question. Have we had an MVP from a losing team? I think it's happened twice. Well, now this I'm talking about okay? The players on both. These teams ended up going nine and five. So he didn't make the playoffs so players to win. Now, new one. I did not know the other one players to win the NFL MVP on teams that didn't make the playoffs old time. There's only been two. You kind of said one earlier on the show, right? You kind of hinted at it. I assumed you're did I you said our guy ran for two thousand yards. But did I. That's not the answer about. Why said Adrian Peterson OJ's two thousand yard year. They OJ I thought. I thought I threw you off with Adrian Peter which also wanted to MVP by the way, but they made the plan OJ in nineteen Seventy-three rush for two thousand yards. The other one quarterback. Team went nine and five. Great nickname. Joseph Joe flacco. Joe flacco finished in the top ten in MVP nickname is Joe. Yeah. Of course, the crazy nickname wild, Nick. How do they come up with that nickname for you Joe? Yes. Mclovin. I said Burke Jones to Todd. And he said, he didn't have a nickname. Is that true? I don't think I don't know per Jones is the answer. But that's our guests. Johnny united. She had the right team the colts. Johnny United nineteen sixty seven whole went nine and five. He won the MVP. They did not make the playoffs. So I I believe I have all of those right? Wait a minute. I think there's an e mean so United. They went eleven one in two that season. But they missed out on the type imagine going eleven in one with two ties and miss out on the postseason college football. Yeah. So they missed out on a tiebreaker with the Rams who are also eleven one and two obviously to D deep dive on that one. Let's just take a break here. Tony Boselli was there at the game last night working the sidelines for Westwood One. We'll get his thoughts on the chargers and the chiefs also more meet Friday songs coming up as well..

"All right. If we redraft the draft, mclovin. Yes. Going to redraft the draft. Okay. Is Baker Mayfield junior third. Still the number one pick by the Cleveland Browns. Is there anybody who take somebody different with the Cleveland Browns? Then Baker Mayfield. Knowing what you know now. Okay. Number two pick the giants knowing what you know now. And I'm looking at the numbers by saquon Barkley shake one Barkley is going to have a thousand yards. He has seventy four catches right now for six hundred yards. So he's going to get close to two thousand yards from scrimmage. Does anybody? Take somebody different there, by the way. Eric Dickerson at twenty two hundred yards from scrimmage in one thousand nine hundred three entering James had twenty one hundred in nineteen ninety nine both of those players were older than saquon. Barkley Dickerson was twenty three at the time edge was twenty one just to give you some perspective on the year that saquon Barkley his hip. Hip. Can you make the point that saquon Barkley? Even though he's he's the guy to get as far as running backs go. He wasn't the right pick for the giants at number two Bali. Yeah. I didn't like the pic, then I don't like it. Now, they're paying too much for the running back and they're in three years. I got to pay for him. Again. They should have traded down with the jets the jets and taking a either quarterback or the best position. Okay. But are you know, you gotta tell me who you're taking if you're the giants in the number two spot. I would've taken trading down to the jets. The jets are going to go up and get Sam darnold. So then who are you taking taking Quinton Nelson and taking the jets threat picks and that That of. would have gone with his Josh Allen scary. But the giants thought that they could win. Now, they rolled the dice on ally. And they thought if you have Odell Beckham and you had saquon Barkley you had two of the most dynamic players in football. And you were hoping that ally manning was going to be able to play. Well, but more importantly, the defense was going to live up to its billing and paycheck. If I trade down. You're still not getting a quarterback and everybody still thinks that you gotta take Sam darnold. Mclovin. I I agree with Paul. He's logic. I would probably go Sam darnold where Barclay to Philip Lindsay's. Awesome. And he was drafted. There's this thought out there. You can find them. Yeah. How many teams passed on? Lindsay wasn't even draft. He wasn't drafted right. Yeah. But it's like you look at the great running back. They all come in the third round, Alvin, Kamara okay? All those teams passed on him. No. I'm just saying like it just feels like you could wait oughta running back. But you I know, but we love to say that. But you have to find that running back. We'll continue this next down. I I was in for saquon Barkley because I understood what the giants were trying to do it didn't work out. But the consolation prize is you have a guy who's going to count for almost two thousand yards from scrimmage. That'd be third old time running that Rick Bucur had the column on Kevin Durant. He's come up. Cast one is your one stop shop for everything TV and pop culture of very candid, not even supposed to be on the record conversation.

saquon Barkley giants Barkley Dickerson jets Sam darnold Baker Mayfield Cleveland Browns Philip Lindsay Kevin Durant Rick Bucur Kamara Quinton Nelson manning Odell Beckham Bali Paul James Josh Allen football Barclay

Did Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy deserve to get fired?

"Is not to say that Mike McCarthy didn't deserve to be a head. Coach is not to say that he did a terrible job because he did it. He's proven to be a good coach. And it may very well be that he deserves to be someplace else. I'm certainly not gonna sit up here and say that Mike McCarthy doesn't deserve to be a head coach in the league as long as Jason Garrett, and Marvin Lewis is still head coaches in the league, I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna do that. Especially Marvin Lewis. These Jason gave wanna play off game is more than I can say for Marvin Lewis hasn't wanna play off game sixteen years, Mike McCarthy's a Super Bowl champion. I think that ultimately the indictment against Mike McCarthy is very very simple, ladies and gentlemen. When you are coaching. Arguably the greatest talent we have ever seen at the quarterback position in NFL history. You gotta have more than one Super Bowl championship in more than one Super Bowl appearance to show for it. You have to have that Mike because he didn't have that. You can't have Arron Rogers questioning the play calling. You can't have him chagrined over the personnel. That surrounding him ask why that's the biggest defense that I have for Mike McCarthy. He he isn't the only one that needs to needed to go. I think I don't have any problem with Mark Murphy, the presidency yo for the Green Bay Packers going. I mean, you don't wanna had Ted Thompson up in there as a GM before you put. We assign them to consultants position. Brian Khuda Kint good a cancer. We don't know what he's capable of. He clearly wants to move into different direction and have his own guy. That's fair enough. But under Mike are under under a Murphy, you had a regime that did not respect ariza's enough. Didn't show him the courtesy and respect you deserve. You got rid of the quarterbacks. Coach alexan- pelt. You didn't even consult with Andrew with Rogers. How do you have a quarterback coach and not consult with Amer Rogers before letting him go? How do you do that? How do you do that? I remember one time I was told Aaron Rodgers walked into their office. They told him to get the hell out shut up. You play. We run organization. That's how this works really, really. I want to walk around here and act like you know, what Aaron Rodgers listen. He's not having a greatest year. Yeah. Absolutely. Right. He's not in that. Absolutely. Right. Eras is not having the greatest year. Nobody's gonna make that defense. He's not gonna make that defensible himself. He ain't blind. He could see understands, but we're talking about eras who will who will saunter who will cruise into the hall of fame first ballot without question. And gentlemen, Aaron Rodgers has twenty one touchdowns and just one interception on this season. And that's a down year for him. That's how lethal he is. That's how great he is. We are talking about a man with a career ninety eight and fifty five and one record. We are talking about a man, then it's completed sixty four point eight percent of his passes. First career. We are talking about a man that has done this at the frozen tundra lamb Lambeau Field for his career, and he is still passing over forty two thousand yards. We are talking about a man that's exceeded. What some would label top-five quarterback in NFL history who's passed over seventy thousand yards and Brett farve. And nobody would tell you that bradfo was better than that Rogers. That's how great Aaron Rodgers is. That's how great Aaron Rogers has been. And so guess what? If he's not feeling a coach, if he's not happy, or whatever the case may be you better pay attention.

Well, let's go back to some college here again. Now, we know that Las Vegas. And I think most observers think that I'm Obama is the best team in the country by a wide margin. But not our FBI are football power index. Sees Clemson as a slight favorite over the tide if they played on a neutral field earlier this week. I sat down to talk about that. With me. Maria taylor. And this is where we went to retailer back with us here on this. What do you make of this this number, and it's out there all week long? Clemson FBI favored over Alabama, Alabama's the team that we're comparing to NFL teams. Now, are they not clearly the best team in college football. I think there's room for question there. And because of what we've seen from Clemson as their offense has gotten better every single week. We're talking about a true freshman quarterback in Trevor Lawrence that has taken over the reins of of this offense. And he's already thrown for over two thousand yards twenty one touchdowns on the season. And every week he gets a little bit better. But but more importantly Travis ET in the run game has been spectacular. I mean, Trevor Lawrence almost doesn't have to make plays. But I think in a head to head battle or not giving albums defense enough credit. I don't know that Clinton's run game gets off at all they play each other again and national championship game, which I would love to see by the let let's do that. Again. Let's do it as often as we can it does feel like they're on a collision course, obviously there's a couple of things that have to work themselves up between now. And then in one of them is the iron bowl. There's Auburn have a real chance to little this off. I do believe it's the toughest challenge that too and the offense will face the defensive line for Auburn is one of the best in the nation of their offensive coordinator Kevin field. It's a really good job dialing pressures, and he's going to be really aggressive and try to make too uncomfortable. But from what I've seen from two. He gets the ball out pretty fast. He gets better every week as well. He's got so many weapons on the outside that although he will find pressure, and I think the defense Auburn defense will be hype in the beginning by the time we get to the second half. I don't think this would be a game. But all the team that's beat Alabama over the course of the last twenty five days last time, I lost was three hundred and sixty days ago, and it was to an Auburn Tigers same. So they do have that we know how to beat Bama your system males on his actually beat them twice. No other current SEC head coaches ever beaten, Nick Sabin. The other thing that I suppose hangs in the balance here is to for the Heisman. How significant is this game for him in that very significant? In fact, I think it's not about whether or not Alabama wins game against Auburn because I feel like that's a given a little bit there like a twenty four point favorite as it sits right now but moving forward. Word to has to play big in this game against Auburn has to play big in the championship. Kyle Murray has been inching or kind of chipping away at his lead in the Heisman race. And Tyler Murray has game against Virginia Murray could be playing in the big twelve championship game, and he's gonna put up Godley numbers. So I think that these last two games will be big for deciding to a wins the Heisman. So there is a lot et stake in a variety of different ways as we look forward to rivalry weekend. Grab your leftovers and put on your TV because he got number nine UCF and south Florida that's at four fifteen eastern. And then the big twelve battle is huge Oklahoma West Virginia at eight eastern. The games are on ESPN. And don't forget, you can always watch both of them live on the ESPN app from wherever you may be. "two thousand yards" Discussed on You're Wrong... And Here's Why

"The guy had no receiving touchdowns in two thousand fifteen or twenty sixteen and all of a sudden he mashes his combined receptions from his first two years, which was sixty four that third year. He puts up more yards in one season through receiving the ball seven eighty eight to five fifteen and he scored six touchdowns. The guy goes for over two thousand yards for scrimmage last year in one thousand nine total touchdowns. So what I'm what I'm saying? Here is that there is no one better at the position right now. And that the NFL did not make a mistake when they named him its ofensive player of the year last season. This was a tough one Chris this tough one because you just said it Todd Gurley was the offensive player of the year last year, according to the NFL and listen Todd Gurley is an unbelievable talent. He's an excellent running back who's now gone more involved in the in the passing game. But there is a guy who is on his way potentially to being one of the best running backs in NFL history. And this is going to be a complete Homer pick to guy I loved watching in college. And that's my boy saquon Barkley, I've never been more devastated. When the giants completely ignored the fact that he li- manning is done and took saquon. I hate that. I have to not only play but root against him for two games every year. This guy's talent his speed his quickness, his agility is. Unreal. An unmatched honestly in the NFL. The moves he pulled on Thursday night against the eagles where he was hurtling guys who were literally an inch away from him diving for his legs. We're things that we really haven't seen in a very long time. If ever in the NFL, and he talked about a guy who not only you know has four hundred and thirty eight rushing yards on the year. Yes. Four touchdowns, and that's behind a very very poor offensive line. It's an offensive line that just recently cut one of their starters. It was a first round draft pick from two thousand fifteen and Eric flowers, but saquon also get involved gets involved in the passing game. He is forty receptions and just six career games. So far and three hundred seventy three yards from the line of scrimmage. He is the prototypical running back that you want in today's NFL that can catch the ball out of the backfield and has the jets to burn anyone in front of him. Look, I agree. The jets the jets the giants did an incredibly stupid thing when they took saquon over one of the quarterbacks now, and that's not a reflection of saquon. It's just a reflection of the value of running backs as opposed to the value of quarterback where you can also argue that they missed on dente word who looks to potentially becoming an elite cornerback for Cleveland and corners are more valuable than running backs. So yeah, it's thinks that he's a giant. So if I'm gonna argue that girl, he's the best. I have to argue against the other guys who were the candidates to usurp the throne in those guys coming into the season, David Johnson. We don't really have to worry about him. Too much. He's coming off a major injuries playing for terrible teams averaging three point two yards per carry. I don't know if it's physical mental. But Johnson doesn't seem like he's over the injury. Just yet, you know, going into the everybody said who's the best running back in football. Oh, that's Levy on Belle any other year. I'd say sure but Leon. Maybe the most talented running back in the league. But we all know the story. He hasn't shown up yet with supposed to be in. Pittsburgh today did not show up who knows what's going on there. I don't think we're ever going to see Leon Steelers uniform again who knows when we'll see him in any uniform, you talk about saquon and people are already saying as you just did the saquon could be the best running back in the NFL. And that sir is nuts. Barclay immensely talented with a blend of size speed and balance that's incredibly rare..

"We were talking about the greatness of Barry Sanders, and it's still one of my favorite quotes. Berry. Switzer was the head coach at Oklahoma. And he reportedly allegedly told his defense, whatever you do do not hurt Thurman Thomas Thurman Thomas was the all American running back at Oklahoma state because if you heard Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders, then comes in and Barry Switzer wanted. No part of Barry Sanders. Berry Sanders, actually underrated. He could ended up with twenty thousand yards. I I don't know if you remember his college career, but at Oklahoma state, he was I think he had five touchdowns in in a game three times in his last year. He rushed for two thousand yards. He was just he was phenomenal. And then going into the pros going to the lions didn't go to a good team suspect offense. But berry still I thought would have ended up. I think if it was important to him he would have stayed. But he was he he just fell out of love with football. And he would be the all-time leading rusher. And I think Emmitt Smith knows that. But berry berry is wired differently than almost any other athlete. I've ever been around never wanted. Attention never wanted publicity. It's weird that and I said to you because of your style the way you run you're going to get more attention, you draw more attention because of the way you run very few of ever run in will ever run. Like, Barry Sanders, but he is one of the more humble people I've ever met in my life. And I got to know him his last year at Oklahoma state. I went to his press conference when he announced he was going to go pro his car broke down while he was headed to the press conference. He shows up. He just got a flannel shirt on. He's look like he stepped right out of class or something. And when he went to Detroit, I went to do a Sunday conversation when I was at the mothership, and I go into his house. He's got a couch in a TV. He's got nothing else. He goes, what do you? What do you think of what I've done with the place? I said what did you do to the place? He said why I got a great TV and a great couch. I can his mind. What more do I need? And this will give you an idea of berries personality. And how frugal and humble he is berry goes he calls me. I'm thinking about buying a new car now, he's a millionaire. He says I'm thinking about buying a new car. I said, well, you know, what it would tell me. He goes thinking Honda Accord. Four door, and I go now I'm waiting for him. That is this the punch line. And then I said, well, and I realize he's serious. I said well you can afford it goes. Yeah. You'd think so I said, yeah. Yeah. I buy it. I buy it outright. I'm you. And he goes, you wouldn't finance and I go, no wouldn't finance it. I bide outright. It goes. All right. He was so proud of that Honda Accord. But that's just sorta summed up his personality. And even when I was there. We were his rookie year. He said, I don't put the camera on me when I'm around the other players because I'm a rookie. And I haven't done anything. He was really concerned about how he was viewed by his his teammates there. And then we did the conversation. He was a tough conversation because he he was goofy. Didn't always answer the questions. He deflected a lot. But his dad would always tell him, you know, Jim Brown. Always telling now. You know, berry said no matter what I did. My dad would say, you're know Jim Brown fascinating personality, though. But underrated underrated. Yes, mclovin. Like in a meanwhile, AOL encouraging way, I don't quite understand his dad was very direct. You know, his dad, I think was just honest with him and said, you're not Jim Brown. But I I don't know if it was to motivate him. But his dad was tough on him. But berry would say no matter what I do. My dad is going to say, I'm not Jim Brown. He's right. Completely different. All righty. Kevin millar. Nice little sleep over there. We got a place to stay. If we go to Austin. We can crash house. Yeah. I looked up big Papi's house outside of Boston. He's got room. Yeah. He's not. They're not bunking up. You made a couple of bucks. Big, bobby? I was watching. Fox's pregame coverage. Like, they they let big Papi route openly for the Red Sox, which is surprising. Because normally when you get into those roles, even though we know that he is a red sock for life. I'm surprised that they allow him to wear a red sock. Batting helmet, and he's openly rooting for the Red Sox there. But he's a popular guy. They've turned the show over to big Papi because it used to be a rod yet. Frank Thomas and Pete Rose. Now, you just bring in big Papi, and they sort of just let him go. And. It's a different approach there. Because you have somebody who is. Fawning all over the Red Sox here, not exactly giving you an honest opinion about everybody else. But he loves the Red Sox there. Got our poll question there. Curtis in Tampa joins us. Hey curtis. What do you have for me? Hey, dan. How's it going? Wonderful. I got a question for you regarding the NFL trade deadline now, we know that Dallas acquired Amari Cooper. But we didn't find out 'til later. Tim mcmanus? I believe reported at eagles have actually offered a second round pick before Dallas countered with the first round pick for him. Because it looked like he might try to pursue OB J before the trade deadline or do you see the looking for maybe some defense to try to counteract some of the problems that they're having. Well, you're not getting Odell Beckham. No. But thank you Curtis. I think everybody was looking at not everybody's I told you yesterday probably about this time. I said this is a deal that's going on the negotiations are going on right now as we speak between the Cowboys and the raiders for Amari Cooper. And I think that there are other teams that realize that in thought, hey, what's it gonna take to get Amari Cooper? Because some of these teams probably thought, you know, if we can give a second or third round pick. You know, we'd take Amari Cooper. You're also taking his. Salary. It's not that. You're just taking Amari Cooper. It's at that salary of what thirteen fourteen million dollars. Yeah. Mclovin by way. Speaking is an eagles fan. We would take Odell Beckham if the giants. She might approve that Trey. Yeah. And saquon Barkley to along. That would help while you're at it. Yes. We saw just make up the traits. We want to see just for like what would top like Odell Beckham were traded to the Cowboys for Zack Martin that solve both problems. They don't they wanna get rid of a wide receiver. They wanna move on from Odell Beckham. And you get the best maybe the best option to live within the support. I don't think you could do that trade today because they just got a wide receiver. But yeah, I think I would need a little bit more. If I were you could get a little bit more from Dallas big Jerry's going to give you more. I mean, I'm going to get a great offensive lineman. But I think I might need a little bit more. Yeah. Mclovin. Us from like ticket sales standpoint. Obviously, hey, come out and see our offensive lineman. Also, the giants are not one offensive lineman. They're five. Feels like that. Feels like that. Let me see Brian in Texas. Hi, brian. Hey, I got a guest for that. Poster. You're gonna put on the wall there. Okay. Yeah. Is it? Jim Palmer in Haines underwear. Photo shoot. It's a good guess, but the answer is no Brian. Thank you. We we have a new wall of morale with sports posters that we had under construction had to order these posters and a lot of them are from twenty thirty years ago. And so we're I found a website that had them and then we mad at him. And then we're going to put them up. We got another one we're going to put up paulie heard from Jim McMahon yesterday. Paulie, put up the Jim McMahon. Walter Payton, Miami vice poster, and I don't I don't know. If Jim McMahon follows anybody on Twitter, but he does follow. Paulie? After that. Paulie was emotional this morning. We ask him. What was more emotional hearing from Jim McMahon or the birth of your.

"I would been like Zeki Elliot's the best player on that team and he's getting ready to rush for. Seventeen hundred yards. Like that's the kind of season. I thought in talking to his dad. He's had a tremendous off season. You have to realize these kids coming out of college at first off season is ruined. I mean, they're going from place to place and the type of year that he had. We know what he went through on and off the field in near number two. So he really hasn't had a great workout regiment. We've seen that he's added some extra bought muscle like men. He is a great football player and then your number three with running backs. I think you can go through the history of this league. They Powell up some numbers in those early years. So I'm expecting a mic night, talked about it, Nick, Nick, do it out there. I think if the Cowboys are gonna make the playoffs. Zeke has two thousand yards. I don't know where else the offense gone come from. I know they're saying, oh, we're going to use them more as a receiver believe it when I see it Zeke, we know what zeke's great at. We know what he wasn't great at Ohio State. What he hasn't been great at the NFL. It's not much obviously great runner. He's a better than he gets credit for blitz pickup guys. Good blocker. One part of his game on the field that he has been average or below average catching the football. So I don't think you're all of a sudden going to change in some of that is just lack of temps. Are lack of making that a folk a priority because you haven't had to because he's been so good. Rushing, the football, I so I, I look at the Cowboys and I look at their weaponry offensively and I say, okay, where are you going to get your touchdowns where you're going to get your yards? I think it's number twenty one and I don't think two thousand yards is out of the question for him. He had sixteen hundred and thirty yards rookie year despite having a terrible week one and not playing in week, seventeen. So like he was weeks two through sixteen on nineteen hundred yard pace. But the problem is his dominance is only based upon how good and how healthy this offense of line is up front. So already we've got Zack Martin, all pro right guard that has a bum knee hyper-extended Bom. Bruce Travis Frederick now with the auto immune disease. It just had. We know he's. To be out significant time. Haven't we seen in the past like of two thousand seventeen when Tyron Smith wasn't on the field, what it meant to this offense Scher. So when you're talking about a center and an all pro and Travis Frederick, you're not going to be able to replace him with somebody off the street yesterday. Stephen Jones were in the market looking for offense Wyman. There's not a center that you're going to get out there right now. That's gonna come in and be able to do the job that he does, especially the vital importance of a center, not only making calls in protection and guiding the offense of wine. But at that position you can give up zero ground into grunt running game. If you give any penetration that ball is going to bounce back side to where the entire flow the defense is coming from and you're not gonna get anything done. So for this offense to have that success and for him to have that dominance, he'd better have that offensive line healthy things. You pointed out to me, I thought would just great observation from an office of line standpoint. Everyone's watching the waiver wire. You pointed out, hey, Chris, it's easy to pick up a guy like you. Fourth, fourth or fifth wide receiver veteran with four, five hundred catches guy..

"Those rush moves. He can be a little more efficient from start to finish. Just to combat with the blockers of trying to throw a him. So you see them lineup up in a stand up off the edge two point and put his hand on the ground. They'll move them inside on passing downs. He'll be interior bloggers with quickness. So yeah, like you said, there's plenty to like with with Louisiana tech, what they do, the players that they quit into the league, especially on defense last few years. They put them guys in the league. And yeah, you look at, you know, schedule this year, they they're at liss you. So that'll be know mid-september that'll be a big showdown. See with Ferguson can do against the tiger the offensive line. So the first guy on this list and I haven't yet seen as ethnic you running back Devon, single Terry. One of the underclassmen at the running back has gotten a lot of buzz. Tell me what what to expect. When I turn this kid on. I don't know if a player has had a more productive season and didn't get as much hype as he deserved last year. He had almost two thousand yards thirty two touchdowns and I don't think maybe only the diehard college football fans and Dr stans really know about him. They think of FAU I think they think of lane kissing not Devon single Terry who had a fantastic sophomore season. Last year, he had thirty two rushing touchdowns. That's almost ten more than second person on the list, which was we're shod penny with twenty three last year. His worst game Devon, single Terry was against Wisconsin, but he was still able to average four point, oh yards per carry. And he did find the end zone against the badgers. So was single, I think with the end up the most, it's his ability to slip tackles. He can make defenders miss terrific balance, quick feet. He can slide. We've through the through the desens- he flashes a second level burst where he can just mood or away from pursuit and as appropriate because his nickname is motor and so I can all you can. You can see it right away where he gets a from. He's not an overpowering. Runner, you know, he's, he's going to be around two hundred two hundred five pounds, but he doesn't gear down at contact. He'll lowers pad in the body's he'll finish strong. He has wide-screen vision. He can sense. The cutback lanes shows a good field for developing coils on the inside. He's only junior. He's gonna be a junior. This year doesn't eighteen. But if you put up another year, like he did last year and stays healthy. I think it's a good bet he's going to bolt to the NFL especially playing the position that he does, and I, it could be one of the first draft that his position, it's it's a weird year for running backs. This year. We don't, you know, lots of years. We've had the big name guys like Leonard four net and those that group. But this year we have some talent, but I don't think we have that no-brainer. He's going to be a first round pick. I mean, I like Damian Harris, Alabama, like brace low of the big twelve has a trio of underclassmen running backs with Justice hill, and Rodney Anderson Montgomery from Iowa State, but I don't think any. Of these guys are no-brainer. First round, pick single Terry. He's right there in that mix kind of fighting, you know, jockeying for position who could be the first among the first running backs drafted next spring. Dan, this was awesome. It always is really, really appreciate the time totally ready for the supplemental draft tomorrow. And I like getting the insight on some of the top non power, five guys. Thank you so much. Enjoyed it. These guys make sure you check him out on Twitter at day p burglar DP Brookler. If you can't tell the guy is about as close as it gets to being NFL scout out there. "A guy who has been hurt all throughout last year put seventeen touchdowns in goes almost two thousand yards rushing i mean literally the guy was twenty two twenty seven yard short of two thousand yards rushing so i mean this guy knows what he's doing he knows surprising though is elise healy at six six catches for thirty three yards so i mean if you want to get more in the nfl kind of nfl kind of selling point where you move your up the draft boards little bit there as nfl teams they love they love her into the running back love love love to running back and he did have fifteen catches in twenty fifteen eight catches and twenty sixteen so i mean he's showing ability to have good hands and be able to catch football but he's gonna build a pump that of this year maybe you'll see david job take that take that part of the offense in an increase a little bit more with the passes out of the backfield maybe give kids still a little more time but that stanford offense can be pretty interesting actually they have a lot of big packages while those ogre packages we bunch of running bunch of lyman in their give get holes for running backs but then also they run the play action though than anybody i've ever i mean some of those play these plaques and plays i mean linebackers are on the right on by behind the linemen and they're being just pushed so far up the field and the horseback can just sit right behind throw pick pick pick pick right behind not pick not interceptions and pick but just pick apart that defense a little bit by just sitting there and just boop boop boop you know we're going to go as we go here with these play action passes because we're pulling these linebackers out position which is good running back does not only so the road good running back of yeah we'd love running plays in big brenning chunky chunk yard running plays first downs everything broken tackles touchdown but they do very valuable things where they said tell them what the running game they caused linebackers two to jump with play action and then they also will start creating a byblos for those defend dilemmas where tear wears it down whereas down and every single time stanford that's that's their mo sometimes they'll those wear you down to another seemingly last year they did that couple different teams as i mean they were able to grind out some wins at cal game actually was was was a grinded out grind out victory there but they've also been able to put the stomping it on some teams where whether defense the defense i mean the team sometimes it's slob but lot thing about the ball teams you can have a good offense as you want you can have heisman trophy candidate as you have two of them three of them if you want but if you're defense can't stop anybody it's tough to win a lot of games fifty eight.

"They just they house them and they they house boat vote raced depended panted whatever your modern euphemism you like they did it each week micro ran for two thousand yards when the heisman trophy turner gill irving fryar was a rare number one overall pick as a wide receiver this team was loaded okay multiple all americans on the offensive line they just destroyed everyone they were number one coming in miami was number five nebraska it was a crazy gear because number two number number two was texas and they lost to georgia or maybe it was georgia was to lost texas but whoever was number two is in georgia texas played in the cotton bowl they were number one versus number two and they lost okay number three was auburn an auburn i mean had bo jackson that was an insanely good team they played my michigan wolverines in the sugar bowl and we're a huge favourite michigan finished second the big ten year illinois of all types and so they were huge favorite but that game was only nine to three and so often one but it was a nine two seven i think so but it was unimpressive and so they didn't gain any style points and then i don't remember who is number four but miami were they they lost their bowl game and so miami by virtue of beating nebraska in this game jump from number five to number one to win the national championship and this has one of the most famous coaching calls of all time second only to air are going for the tigers michigan state and sixty six nebraska comes back they can kick an extra point to tie the game at the end and if they get a tie they've been number one all year nobody else's has nobody else's looked great in the bowls they would have been voted number one tom osborne lex to go for the win and go for to the pass is incomplete miami wins and wins the national championship and that put miami on the map from nineteen eighty three to two thousand one so we're talking less than twenty years right eighteen years four different head coaches when national championships at miami how we're still at burger jimmy johnson dennis erikson and koker yeah he did it with the guy you're thinking about using which davis is players that was the game that kind of put miami on the map so a lot of people think this is the greatest game ever played i'm fine with it being number two okay number one the two thousand six rose bowl texas fortyone usc thirty eight greatest game i ever saw leading up to that game espn had done a a a month were of specials of whether this usc team was the greatest college football team of all time they were the defending national champs they brought every matt line at all these guys came back they had two heisman trophy winners playing together in matt liner and reggie bush had linda white who was a force of nature there something like forty pros off of that usc team and then you had vince young who of course texas was very talented but he was one man wrecking ball i've never seen a force of nature in college football like vince young never seen like with the well your phrase imagine of herschel walker or bo jackson could play quarterback would their combination of size and speed and power and that's that's what vince young was he was utterly an undeniably unstoppable it's the last game the iconic voice of the sport keith jackson ever called it's in the house of hallows at the rose bowl national championship game down to the wire it it's a movie the movie the games cinematic event and i'm fine with being number one you know what say this i'm not disagreeing i'm gonna say it still jeopardy i've never seen the game you're kidding i've never seen the game i can't remember why but i mean you've got you've got will ferrell on one sideline with snoop dogg matthew mcconaughey on the texas sideline i mean this thing had it had everything you could imagine last game of the greatest voice in the history of the sport it had everything i forgot jackson's last game it's it's it's a cinematic event is that it that is it.

"The primary career he still went to four pro bowls wanna playoff game only through for twenty two thousand yards but came to denver and put it on the broncos video game right i was like seriously they they had no they had no answer and it was like a video game that day you know what i forgot that somebody brought up the other day he played for the jets he played three games he was a starter for three games at the jets in two thousand fourteen i totally i have no recollection see if you can find the stats of that game with the falcons came to the mile high city and i mean vick went absolutely out of his mind so we continue the quarterbacks there were two quarterbacks taken in the top three choices in two thousand and two david carr was the overall first pick went to the texans he was sacked i think his rookie year seventy three times in ruined enjoy harrington was the third pick he was selected by the detroit lions i mean both of those picks i think for different reasons but both those picks would have to fall into the bus gaps olutely and think about that that's a one in a three first pick third pick that year both quarterbacks both busts all the all the work that goes into vetting these players and research number one number three both boss dave why doesn't why don't stem quarterbacks translate from college to the nfl way well i mean it's it's a well first of all it's a huge step right guys some guys don't understand that you're playing with the elite athletes in the world and the game is better and they're from a defensive standpoint they spend much more time on trying to come up with ways to stop you the speed of the game is completely different and and some guys benefit i think a lot a lot of quarterbacks benefit from the system they are in college the spread system where you know you you work half the field on some of your reeds for the very few quarterbacks that can sustain any kind of success that our half feel readers in the nfl because once the.

"There was such a heated argument about something that everybody got you know really angry about through i guess what you know the next year you know we did we put up two thousand yards rushing just is it is the way it itself that sometimes that's those things happen in miami you can work through these colorado dallas cowboys team that won its last super bowl after the 95 season in troy aikman got sideways with barry switzer in they refused to speak to each other from december fourth of that year all the way until after the super bowl that they won together because they were just better than everybody else right so you can get worked as you can be professional i don't i don't have to like you i'm here to do my job i'm not here to black you i'm here to job let me come in and do my job i've gone about my separate waiting up good cool you know what it is better we have great chemist it hop skip his harp with that position yet the quarterback in the head coach to not get along i mean they're they're they're they're other because you're going to help you know you will go in the okay would you like blah blah blah you gonna ask you know what the reason this has worked for all these many years is that tom brady basically i think runs the offense and bill is a defend right guy so it wasn't like bill was trying to impose his offense of will on the quarter but what he what what coach belichick could offer he's gonna to tell you okay now this is what i would do it you came out and this new this is what i would do and that's why a lotta great quarterback they like defence of mine peyton manning later i grown about what what would you if i did this what would you do in this down a distance this area the field is knife to know what a great mind would be what he did ryan who've as though.

"The future but qatar certainly hearing this and knowing that it's a possibility and he's talking about this even as they are preparing for a week seventeen game when so much could be on the line not play offs but still jobs and then jason garrett is being defended by his owner his boss jerry jones you've got votes your circling pretty much everywhere that a team has been a major disappointment so long with the shockers that we're talking about you get the the speculation about jobs now i don't know where you would put the expectations of the cardinals preseason kind of a mixed bag a lot of it depended on carson palmer's health which he didn't make it through the full season we know but also they lost david johnson early we were talking about david johnson as the guy that could have two thousand yards you know thousand through the air thousand the ground and he was gone super early they also had some major injuries they managed to come up with a couple of wins in which you thought okay maybe maybe they're worth paying attention to but i mean it was it was essentially a fall flat on their face kind of a season overall when you consider the big picture and even though we still have larry fitzgerald even though they've got some good young pieces and you would expect that david johnson would return the fact is they're not in the playoffs again just a couple of seasons after being in the nfc championship and member bruce arriens went through cancer treatments last offseason any any he had had been dealing with during the season and there was all this talk in this excitement about playing for him at this could be his last year then the reports came out in the last few days that he and the cardinals have agreed to mutually partway so the same story line we heard about the cincinnati bengals and marvin lewis not that long ago and now bruce arriens and the arizona cardinals have been cast in that same light and he himself is that when you talk about what happens next to goma was john daughter and we'll talk soon.

"This is where we get all of that do you realize they're right now at tokyo brown already has ninety nine receptions for 1500 a nine yards with three games to go do you realize that of the thirteen games that they have played this year he has over one hundred yards receiving in eight of them do you realize that over the last four games his numbers receiving yards one forty four 169 101 and last week to all three if he has a monster game do you a hold on do you were due to thirteen i said if you do you realize that if he has a monster game if he has a monster game this week do you realize the antonio brown could end up catching over two thousand yards in in reception yards s n v p that's envy their killer not noah tonio antonio brown has great guys i'm like we all agree look it's right tom brady antonio brown or levy on bell i'm just saying if you really talk about thought most important player to the teams off that antonio brown makes them impossible i get it's like there's nothing you can do you got it out for him and even if you do there's nothing he could do but levy on bell is in fact that the the most important player on that offense when i think about the most important players to any team on the offense side of the ball the guy who pops out to me including the quarterback arron rogers probably number one maybe levy on bill two or three or four i mean like his way way up there you can't control the clock within you keep he is a huge in the passing game you can move from all over you can split them out wide you could put him in the slot you can catch passed that of the backfield he can run patiently and explosively the guy is like a genius listen when you think about the greatest show on turf guys it's marshall faulk really that made the difference how did the patriots beat them they had to stop him it's the same thing here levy are bell is the key to this game and i believe the key to pay.
