General McKenzie Says We Expect Attacks to Come, None Defending Ourselves

"We expect attached to continue quote unquote. I believe that was General Mackenzie. Reports to the secretary of defense. We expect attacks to continued, ladies and gentlemen. On the Kabul airport. Where men are sitting ducks. And you see the enemy does not expect Attacks to continue. They don't expect any attacks. I just want you to think about that. You don't have to have a military background. Just two brain cells to rub together. We expect the enemy to attack. We expect her to be more attacks on our men and women at that airbase. At that airport. But the enemy doesn't expect any attacks to come. Because we don't have the resources. We don't have the air power. We don't have the intelligence. Do you see what I mean? This this is insanity. This is insanity. We expect more attacks to come, quote unquote. You would think somebody who has spent his or her life in the military. How to Become a Technician

"Does he take to technician at the. Fa can you tell us what kind of training does one need. Sure so one of the awesome things i think about being a technician is our positions are so varied. There's so many different types of equipment that people can be working on so there's not an amount of training. That's really necessary to do this job. I mean it just depends on what it is. We get those military folks because they do have that training but we grab folks. it backgrounds. We have folks that are mechanical backgrounds. We have folks that are just kind of power system backgrounds that are working on h. Back and stuff like that because we need all of that to make sure that we're getting this work. Done h is particularly important because especially here in california. This equipment gets hot. It's just gonna shut down so it's a really important aspect but one of the best things about the technicians. You actually get that training once you come here so if you've already kind of worked in field that is marketable you're able to actually go train on the specific equipment and that's one of the best things about being a technician with the faa. When i came on with the agency. I went to radar concept school. I went to eleven squad. Didn't go to general radar. School actually learned the radar. On which i was going to be working. I went to two star school. I went to arts tweets. This is all just equipment and other just acronyms but everything that we work on. They send us to school specifically for that equipment and so you feel a lot more comfortable with that so really coming on. You don't need a ton of training. I mean if you have something. That's in the realm of it of of electronics systems of electrical systems h. Fac if you've got that background that'll get you in the door pretty easily and then when you get here. That's when you really get your training done and that's when you really learn exactly what you need to do.

"Just don't see the urgency and kuai Leonard to Put another team on his back because he has to. I don't think Paul George is the type of sidekick that Anthony Davis was to LeBron James or You go down through the years. I don't think he's gonna Rondo is there and he's done a ton of winning. But Just don't think there's that Second player that second star that makes the Clippers And the and the Jazz. Don't the Jazz are just Just a team with crazy depth and a lot of very, very, very good players and the best defensive player in the N B. A. And by the way, Conley hasn't played in this series yet either, so they're only going to get better. Here's Mike and Miami on CBS Sports Radio. Hi, Mike. Hey, what's up? You're one of the few people that agree with me. I think the bucks The playoffs started. I have the sun, which I'm supremely confident in coming out of the West and I have the Bucks coming out of East first couple of games wasn't looking so hot. But as you mentioned injuries, and I think the bucks are just a lot more comfortable now. When you have a chance to put a stranglehold on a team and you don't like they blew Game three. They stay actually still won that game. I think you give them new life. I think the Bucks are a better team at home, and I think Tucker being a lot more physical, Durant Kind of through a mock a little bit, even though the numbers look at he really struggled there until late in the fourth quarter. I think the role players play a lot better than Milwaukee, which is a very tough place to play because of that crowd is walking there, so I think, Well, yeah, that's something that we didn't necessarily know that we were going to have. A couple of months ago. Was how much home crowds and fans are going to be a factor in these playoffs and the Bucks are going to have that more than the Nets. Nets fans. There's not a lot of die hard real Nets fans. There's a lot of people that have jumped on the bandwagon and became net's fans five minutes ago, the second they traded for Harden. I don't think that they're going to create Buzzing, hostile place to play at all in these playoffs, Satellite Planet Madison Square Garden. The box is a different animal. And so You know, I'm banking on Milwaukee plays its best game in Game four. They're at home. They don't have. If it's a game on two on a game of 212 they lose to Brooklyn. But they've got a better team now that hardens out. And their big man, Lopez has done diddly squat since Game one. And I think that's a fluke. More than it is a trend because Don't see the Nets having the type of players to really slow him down once he Establishes himself again. So I think that I think the NBA Think the NBA wants Nets and Sixers in.

Steph and LeBron's Impressive Finals Streak Ends With Lakers Loss

"I know a lot of people have said here. We are the playoff stepped in. Get in right to play in game now. Lebrons knocked out first. time since. Twenty ten steph. Lebron will not be in the finals. nba finals. I mean think about that. So this is a changing of the guard. Something new but nobody should be surprised. I know chris was on his high horse and when they won game three dominant in control. Anthony davis had averaged thirty four points. Aaron in those two wins remember. They lost the opener and anthony. Davis had a bad game and then he played really well so chris thought that you know it was in the bag. A lot of people did started making arrangements for the lakers to make it to the finals. Yet they gotta easy path. Nobody's gonna stop them. Nobody in the west scares. You didn't care about utah. Being the number one seed. They pooh-poohed phoenix pin number. Two and boy did they. Run into a buzzsaw devon booker chris paul bounce back from an injury and look at what they were able to came into staples. You know all i heard from people were don't bet against lebron he's never been knocked out in the i. Am i right aaron. How many times did you hear that. I'm not betting against lebron. As if he always one all the time. Okay in the first round. He was fourteen to know going into this. But you gotta step back. Don't be lazy a lot of people lazy and it's just easy to pick the obvious choice. I never thought they were going to beat. The sons. never thought. They had a run in them to get to the finals. Because too many things had to go right and they're dealing with two players who have been banged up and injured two star players and then air look at the reserves and the role players and the supporting cast. This team better than a team that won the championship a year ago. Now you can't bank going anything with with that with that. Group

Louisville's Brad Cox looks to take another step toward Kentucky Derby with Mandaloun

"Brad thanks for joining us today here on race day. It happening gasping for having me on. This is the longest we've went. Went out having you on. Congratulations on the eclipse award. We haven't talked to you since then. congratulations well deserved. Thank you very very much For a guy who's has much as much success as you've had in the last four three or four years especially never ran a horse in the kentucky derby and now Not only the at the two year old champ in essential quality. We'll talk about A little later on but You have a worse in the loon who Provided all goes well tomorrow looks to be a serious serious animal on that road to louisville Amazingly just six weeks away from kentucky derby one. Forty-seven talk to us about mandolin. While you know he's he's really Taken shape we always displayed a good bit account as a two year old and now he's able to show that to starts as a two year old Ram one turn which we thought was you know. I thought he'd be a to turn horse. But you know just displayed enough speed of the morning to You know give us the confidence to run him. first couple around one turn so worked out really well and he continues to get better. Every rice thought his first round turns and the cop is a really good race. A little water on both turns. You know we added the blinkers another race. Going in for you know for a horse to finish up the way did go. On a mile and nathan february of their three zero year says a lot so You know. I'm i'm hopeful and confident. He'll move forward again tomorrow. in louisiana derby he'll need to As all these sources seemed to be you know moving in the right direction at the right time so You know you just gotta continue to that you know forward move to the kentucky derby and you know he he's one that's you know somewhat lightly raced having only run four times and You know we spaced as racist. Well tried to buy designs. And he's doing really well so hopefully the more he can You know get the job done you know. Take that next step toward the kentucky derby how big of a role that you think. The blinkers played arisen star. I think they helped him If you go back and watch this horses. I keep him he was. It was a very impressive race. He broke well then. They kind of run away from ducking and diving splitting horses. Very impressive and then if you watch galloping out i mean. He sees the gap and tries to make the gap. I mean he's not that he's tried that a lot or anything but like he does walks things he does look at things and You know. I think that kinda comes from that empire maker line You know he. He does tend to you. Know looking gawk at things tom tom. I've had writers tell me that he needs flock comeback after social. And he's blinkers. You know. And i thought we'd just continue educating along the way not really throw them on until really felt like we needed to He's able to get it done in the second star. Going seven eighths. I didn't really want to put the blinkers on him in his first start. Going around two turns I do think they may hold helping that day. Kind of putting getting wearing needed to beat a win. You know but the end goal was not to win. The lecomte you know is to educate the horse and Thought still was the right move. Not having them on. We added them. And i definitely think to get him a little sharper. You know polish off a little bit as far as being a little more focused and and You know just experience the the to turn racial hell played a big role as well so i think it was a couple of things that you know. Really set him up for a big race with the additional blinkers and second time around two turns into star

Carrie Bernans Talks Connecting with Other Actors, Confronting Stereotypes Of Black Women

"I was like eh part of every church events. You their dance department. And their easter sunday plays and stuff so i would say that was. My first start was in the church and then the second star was like in the school theater. Plays and stuff like that and then after that After high school hosted the eight in college and disembowel in college. And then i got cast in a couple of community theatre plays and musicals although i don't really saying I guess that was good enough to make you know. I think i need to use voice training so that was like my initial start and i loved theater so much. 'cause you eat the same thing and then you just get better and better and better and and it just so much fun because you're playing with people on your living in this bigger than life imaginations and just like it was is bringing things to life so that was my initial start and then i m did Single ladies on vh. one with stacey dash. Lisa ray when i was in atlanta one summer in college as well and that was my first time on like actual tv set and then it kind of grew from there. You find the on camera just clicked with you more so than theater yet. It definitely i think. I mean the either clicks with me too. 'cause i think i am. I am very loud and just like very theatrical for only slightly dramatic. I wish you pump it up a little bit. Mccurry the pop up now. Tv was also just really funny. I was just like oh. My god is so cool but tv. I had to learn how to tone it down a bit be more. Quieter more intimate. Tv wasn't adjustment. But i did find light. Tv and film was much more fun for me and it moves a lot faster to them. Theater does Which i really love in a you can do more. And you can explore more and play with more carrots As i mentioned in part one it was. Actually the ceo of we audition. Darren darn borough. Who introduced me to carry. So i wanted to take a little time out to talk to carry about how she found out about. We audition what it's meant to her and how she uses this online community to further her own craft and career. yeah discover. We had nothing when they were really just the startup where they first came out. I think dare since they started. And i don't remember where exactly i was at. Maybe i saw something ally and i was like. Oh this is cool. And i got on. I started using it. And then i think darren reached out to me and then he started putting me as like a mvp and stuff like that's all became like more engaged with it. And i love we auditioned. I think it's it's definitely helped me a lot Because i would addition a whole lot in sometimes. My friends wasn't getting the same amount additions. I was getting so. I fell back accidents. To help me with an audition. They were not addition at the moment so it was great to go to this online resource to meet other actors to get their help with an audition and they had no tied to me. I guess you could say they just wanted to practice leading or scripture acting themselves and it just has been such a brilliant platform for media's in what are the ways besides just auditioning have you been able to use it. Yeah i've met with cast directors on there. They have these coffee. Our kind of sessions where you can meet casting actors for you know five to fifteen minute conversation. I've also met a couple writers on there. I also have used. It suggests like breaking down other stuff like that. I'm writing in having actors. Read it on their mind themselves like putting my stuff on there And i've also built some incredible friendships. I went to sundance last year. And i we auditioned co-sponsor to house so it allowed us premium access to like this really nice house and then a part of the package that we paid we also provided publicist which allowed us to get some more bits that we were doing and the friendships said i made within. The house was definitely like a big win. That i've now taken in so like twenty twenty one with me and i still talk with a lot of friends.

"Just check out and find a new hobby or a new interest, like go back to sports or Don't know where you go like, If you're gonna mean Frankly, if you were a conservative, that's your point of view. You know you don't have a home in sports. You don't have a home and pop culture. I don't know where your home build ships in a bottle like I don't know what you do. Take a model trains because I if you're going To say, I don't care about the Georgia election screw the Republican Party. This is not an folks. I don't want you to misunderstand. This is me rallying you to the Republican Party or or or, you know, telling you that they're sterling. Great people and they deserve your love and support and money. It isn't that This. I really believe January. 5th is the day that If this election is lost by those two Republicans January. 5th will be the day that you and I won't have the luxury really discussing the future of the country anymore. If they lose If they both lose one of them wins, there's still a pulse. If they both lose. I Really anything we discuss here. At that point, we'll just be shaking our fist of the clouds. There won't be a point in having a discussion anymore. I mean, I guess at that point here's what we have to hope is Joe Mansion from West Virginia. The moderate Democrat, hangs on and doesn't throw in with the hard left. And if you think he can withstand that kind of pressure, talkto Arlen Specter, the late Arlen Specter's family about that. I I'm not optimistic that we would then hang the future of the country's hopes on a moderate Democrat from West Virginia to keep the country from being radically taken over at two stars to the state flag pack the court with 13 justices. Who run roughshod over the rest of the country, and God knows what legislative action they take. But you can kiss the bill of Rights. Goodbye, and I like that's a dark picture. But I don't think inaccurate. And so I mean, if you've just decided I'm so mad Donald Trump lost and ahead of stolen that I give up on politics forever Screw the Republican Party. Can't talk you out of that. You know me. I don't I don't try to talk You out of how you feel. I think it's insane if you claim to care about the country, But I can't talk you out of it, And I'm not gonna try just like I don't try to talk people in the Donald Trump. We're out of Donald Trump. It's a waste of time. I understand You're mad. Believe you, Me. I am too. I am sure this didn't E. And I hope someday we'll be able to put her hands around. Whatever the hell it was that went down here. Something went terribly, terribly wrong theft or something? I don't I don't know, because I'm not an attorney. I don't have the means to investigate it. So all I can go off of is what my gut tells me And what common sense and just sort of my 30,000 FT view analysis of this election was and My assessment is the over simplistic statement. Something really wrong occurred something that doesn't make sense occurred. That's all I know. And so you can say I'm mad that the United States Senate hasn't done enough to support Donald Trump. And I ask you Why do you think it's the United States Senate job at this point to be the ones to stand up and fight on Donald Trump's behalf? Even if your point of view is they're weak and they're spineless and Pat Toomey and others aren't doing enough. My point is, what can they possibly do? You tell me if Pat Toomey found a set And hung in there and painted his face with war paint and charged. You ripped off his shirt and said, I'm in. That's the death trip. I'm not going down without a fight and screamed his bloody head off. Do you think Pennsylvania is going for Trump? No. Why? Well, because Trump didn't win the election. So Pat Toomey doing that would not change any. Can Pat Toomey do anything to affect the outcome here? He can't He cannot know. Period. He cannot sew him s O him, making us feel better. Morally, I suppose I appreciate he needs to look like he's on our team. Okay, But what can he really do? What can in a United States senator do folks My point is? Let's go back to Doug Master Yano, who's supposed to be on the show today and canceled Dave My Grogan, who went to Harrisburg has a restaurant tour and talk to them. You know who you should be pissed at. You know who you want to train your fire on. You know where our focus on to be the people in Harrisburg folks. They're the ones that make election law. So anybody that's suggesting United States. Senators in the Republican Party need to pay, Okay? I don't disagree. I'm not thrilled with a lot of them. I've never been impressed with them generally is the body. But if you're angry at United States senators, may I respectfully suggest your anger's a little misplaced at this hour. United States. Senators did not give US mail in voting in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Republicans gave US mail in voting in Pennsylvania. So if you want to be mad at somebody and punish somebody, may I humbly suggest You spend your energy and time punishing the Republicans in Harrisburg, who gave us this hot mess? Pat Toomey didn't I mean, I'm not saying Pat Toomey is impressive warrior in a supporter of Donald Trump, But I can walk and chew gum here, and I think we have to be honest about why we're here. And we're not in this mess today because of Pat Toomey. Hey, Pat Toomey's leaving. Pat Toomey is retiring. You know, Um, we're not in this mess because of Mitch McConnell. I'm not. And I'm not here to wag Wave the GOP Eve party flag. I'm not I'm not here to talk you into loving Republicans. I'm just asking anybody who has this idea that screw the Senate. Who cares? Let the Democrats haven't It's all rigged anyway. Well, okay, then kiss the bill of rights Goodbye and kiss the future of the country. Goodbye, And there's really no discussion to be had anymore, I guess. As far as what we will do here will just start talking about recipes in the new year because there won't be any point in discussing the future of the country. You'll have some new.

"CAST episode five eighty one other kinds novais welcome to China caster weekly faxes journey through the cosmos where we help you understand not only what we know how what we know. I'm Brisbane publisher of the Universe today with me as always as Dr Pamela Gay a senior scientist for the Planetary Science, Institute and the Director of course. How you doing I'm doing well, how are you doing good the word size just comes up your senior scientists working for a scientist a tude science science science. It, it's kind of the way I live my life. It's nice to have people focused on science it is. It is and Happy, I Canadian thanksgiving. Oh. Yeah. That's this weekend. Yeah. We're. We're not that big about Thanksgiving around here in fact my. My my sister calls no thanksgiving. All, right we we keep a pretty low key. chloe's to be coming back from university for for Thanksgiving and we'll be hanging out so so. Excellent. Yeah. But but. Trying to organize like a Thanksgiving dinner is very complicated around the house so. So ten we tend to make something Super Yummy. That's all you name. Yeah exactly. But it's also you know as I mentioned year after year it's entire. It's very civilized although I think this year. Like, nobody's be traveling in the US to attend Thanksgiving's so I think you have to worry. But maybe in future years once the pandemic has wrapped up, then consider adopting Canadian thanksgiving is your date because it's just. Air travel traveling in general is a lot easier in in. October than in November. This is true and we're starting to get fall leaves. So it's more. than. The the leaser. Great. Yeah. November they're they're they've all fallen. It's gross. Yeah. All right. So don't ever accuse us of not comprehensively covering every kind of exploding star this week we gather ball the leftover ways that stars partially or fully explode don't probably enjoy. Oh Pamela. So I'm not GonNa lie I did absolutely zero preparation for this week's episode. Because I have no idea. What's In fact, we were prepping like okay. So what what's left and then you then proceeded to rattle off a whole bunch of ways it starts getting split I had no idea. Had even had names but. Why. These these are in minimal exploding right moments in our life. You gotTa Start and start gets brighter. It could be an explosion, it might not be. And and this is where we have to go back to what does the word Nova mean it it's a new star and so Nova New Star. Yeah. So anytime, a star decides, Hey, I, may not have been visibly bright before but look at me now and hops into our sky. That's a Nova. And so far we've discussed where you have a compact object White Dwarf Neutron Star, whatever that is stealing matter from a companion and periodically flares in brightness due to usually some sort of an exploded. We talked many times in the past about supernova where an entire star decides I'm GonNa could boom either my outer atmosphere or all of myself and we've behind something or nothing depending on the stars mass and whim. Yes. Put. There's other really cool stuff out there. And the other cool stuff out there. has produced some of the most beautiful didn't actually explode remnants for Hubble and other massive telescopes to point that. So let's let's run through a couple of examples I guess of of of Stars that did something interesting but not in a traditional variable star sense because we've talked to them plenty of times but like weird variable stars, Right Right. So so here we have systems like I think the most famous may be Ada Karena. exploded. Ready. Right well or not. I, mean here we have this this star that wasn't particularly noticeable Intel in the eighteen thirties. It decided to suddenly do the opposite of bagel juice and it became brighter than Rachel. Brightest, stars in the sky. It became the second brightest star in the sky for a while. Just after serious. It's had multiple episodes of getting brighter getting, Fainter. and. It's thought that this humongous Nebula that is around it this it looks like an hourglass with an exploding waistline. I don't know how five it. Yeah. So the hour glass of material around it is is thought to be material that was given off during its great eruption in the eighteen hundreds. And its subsequent. inning occurred when all of this material cooled and coalesced into dust and that dust hit the the two stars. We now know that are lurking down in the center of this system

Houston Rockets fail to stave-off elimination in loss to the Los Angeles Lakers

"So, there's a whole list of ways to For a whole host of the culprits here. Right IF PEOPLE WANNA start scapegoating or pointing fingers at the reason for the rockets. Quick Demise. This postseason I might point to James Harden just say they're fundamentally flawed because of the the style that he plays and how how hardened centric they are that I will always key on that. I but there is the Russ Hardin experiment. There's small ball itself. There's the catch all analytics failed that there's there's the camp out there who wanted to blame analytics or Darrell Blame Mike Dan Tony. It's about maybe it's about his system although I don't think they were running what Mike is usually known for. Is there one thing that stands out to you? That was that the primary culprit for why they failed this particular postseason? Well I'll answer that two ways first and foremost is that it's very hard to win an NBA championship especially coming out of the Western conference I think people forget that think how you have to beat our. You know now with Lebron James Who's arguably the best player in the League one of the best of all time he is here, Wilde Leonard whose I believe has the best. Regular season win percentage in the NBA history who may be on the verge of leading his third different team to an NBA championship is the best player he's out here and the no. Forget the team in the bay that went to the finals five years in a row they're going to be back next year and how are those are the guys you have to just to get To the NBA finals out of the West. So I think in our winner, take all society it's easy to forget that as I mentioned, I think the rockets have been arguably the second best team in the NBA over the last four five years So they are close however to answer your question more directly. The biggest concern I have like I said is on the biggest stage look. Who sometimes as an executive coach or player, and sometimes it's not that's what happened to him a few years ago in game seven when they missed twenty seven consecutive threes or whatever it was that's part of the deal that way this thing goes the way it shouldn't go. Howard. If you'RE GONNA WANNA win anything at a high level is you always have to try you always have to compete. You always have to give your best effort. Now can Houston do that? Can they answer those questions that remains to be seen and unfortunately were they new head coach coming in? I think to some extent Howard whenever next season starts it doesn't really matter what they. Do in the regular season you and I both think the Houston Rockets as you know currently constructed or very likely to be playoff team again, the western conference but the questions are going to start again when they get to the playoffs and frankly I don't think they'll be able to answer those questions until the playoffs are ending as far as did they show up and compete every night because we have two examples in the last four years where they haven't done that in the big stage and has a lot of people myself included scratching their head as far as you know why James Harden, his teammates didn't even try to rise to the occasion. Yeah it's. You lay it out correctly or I would agree with the way you laid out, which is as you start looking forward. Immediately you have to think about. All right. Well, who who are we chasing and if we assume everything stays static that Lebron Anthony Davis are still together that Paul, George is still together. The nuggets aren't going anywhere. So there's a three teams at the top. Already, the warriors could very easily and should jump back into the top four. Even Gotten to Utah or the rising mavericks or anything else yet, and at best the rockets are V before we've even gotten through this season much less the off season and getting next. Look ahead like do we know how do we? How do you forecast them's anything better than that, and that's fine. If you're young team on the rise, if you're the mavericks and you look out an next year source, maybe somewhere in the four, five, six range. That's fine. You're young team on the rise you're you're you're building as you go the rockets are you know you're built around two stars in their early thirties? And if you're if you're not going forward, then you're going backward the you're sliding and I don't know that the flexibility is there to to really rebuild around those two guys on the fly here. So I don't know whether assuming darryl still in the job because there's been doubts about that too. But whatever. Whatever the Front Office does this off-season I I do not envy especially in an Arrow or in a year with potentially a shrinking cap with the little or two zero flexibility I don't I just don't know where they go from here unless you go and start entertaining the extremes and that's trading the stars and that that might be even harder. So maybe they have no choice but to just stay on the path, try to find some bargains and hope for the best I

He came through. And what he's gone through, and he didn't even get drafted and he fought his way to get on a team. The heat believed in him. He stayed in their system and look at what he's doing now. Did you know that he went to a D three squad. I did. I did. John Beilein went golfing. We're not going to skip any games. We're not going to, you know, have to cancel games that these teams are horned in and they want to play football. And number one I know you guys were going to say this is repetitive, but number one, the NFL. Hey, they've been telling you all year long from from from from All the way to January. Talking about the draft is going to be on time we're going to do this. You've got to believe in what Roger Goodell has done and is about face on Social, Social of justice. All the things that Roger Goodell has done and he's turned, turned his head back the right way. He's favored his players. He's done things. To correct the things that he I mean, what tapped it? I mean any hay has yet to apologize, but that's coming. I'm hoping that's coming. But the NFL heading in the right direction, allowing their players to speak their mind, letting them do things that they need to do. There's still some things that got to be fixed. But the NFL is my is my number one star right now, and I like it because I can't wait till Sunday. Nice. Pix. Like, Um, thank you. I guess it's my turn. Then. Helping the Tampa Bay Lightning take a Tuo lead and the best of seven Eastern Conference finals. Siri's by scoring a goal with 7.8 seconds left to go in the third period family the game was going to overtime went back and forth. And ah, and culture was just Johnny on the spot. Take a one timer and bury in the back than that to seal A to one victory back on Wednesday, Game three tonight. Between the Lightning and the Islanders at eight o'clock, So my number three stars Nikita Kucherov. My number two star. Is going to be J. Murray Candelario and Jay Mohr had himself I would say pretty decent game. Ah, yesterday a couple of games actually yesterday, having home runs in both the front and back end of the doubleheader with the Ah With the Cardinals, although it was AH lost in the first game. Being able to get a home run the second game. That was the beginning of the comeback for the Tigers in the 63 victory in the second half eyes the first tiger to do to do that, as faras it home runs. On both sides of the doubleheader since Leona's Martine back in 2018. So Jamie Candelario, my number two star, and then my number one star. Jamie, the kind of I'm not piggybacking off of you, but I'm kind of going along the same tracks on this one. My number one stars is going to be the entire Ah Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. During right after the national anthem, having a locked arm in arm standing for unity, moment of silence doing that spoke huge volumes without even saying a thing. And to me. That was a great great thing to see. Ah, I was. Ah, I was actually in the studio when they did that. Ah, Some of those fans are a bunch of clowns, and we'll just We'll just leave it at that that some of those fans that decide to boo ya bunch of clowns, but to do that At the beginning before kick off, you know, in a in a sign of solidarity to me is ah stands up as a big s speaks volumes to me so both the Chiefs and the Texans standing for unity arm in arm before kickoff. "Unhinged our first actual movies in a movie theater movie A CZ. They're making a big point of that. Ah, lot of theaters that weren't open already are opening this weekend. And this is the first thing out of the out of the gate. And it is Russell Crowe being crazy. Yeah, he plays he plays the guy who has In the very versed in the movie killed people, eyes and hands. Kids Know How To Occupy Themselves. We Need To Let Them Do It

"One of our own NPR colleagues Mike Lean decline. was actually feeling this stress big time she's been working quarantined with her husband and her daughter Rosie. WHO has four? She is like a firecracker, right? She is strong willed. Through life with this intensity, which is fantastic, she learns really fast, and she's fearless, but you know it's like when she wants something. There is like no giving in, and it was these constant demand demands to draw neurology. Video, Mama, make a Sandwich Mama set up. My Zoom Circle Time Mama you know all those little interruptions that completely obliterate your concentration I would lock the door. I slid down the back of it and I just cried I. was like what am I going to do like I have this book deadline in July and it was just really like this is. This is not going to be good for any of us. Like things are going to deteriorate really quickly in this House Mike Lee and actually wrote about this moment in a new. York Times. OP, ed recently, and it's related to the. The book that she's working on, so it's called. Hunt gathered parent, and it's coming out in March twenty twenty one, and it's all about what American parents can learn from other cultures including traditional cultures, because the pressure to keep kids constantly entertained well. Mike, Ian says that's really specific to American parents and culture. There is huge amount of pressure like I have been fighting it and I still feel it. You know I still wake up in the morning I'm like. What are we GONNA do today. What are we going to do this morning, right? You're like per child entertainer part event planner. I mean it is like we're planners. If you think about it, right, it is late. They are little tech CEO's that have like a day planned for them, and we are there to usher them in, and not only just usher them, but make sure they enjoy it or something out of it or like. There's feedback afterwards, right? There's a cruise director like there's hustler service aspect to it. It's having a good time. Did you find your except my kids are those trolls on Yelp that always give the two stars, the One star now, not good enough, not good enough. Maybe they're trying to tell you something so in this episode of Life Kit. It's all about turning kids from customers. You have to please into good coworkers Mike. Leeann is gonNA share what she's learned from her reporting on other cultures to help our kids learn to entertain themselves. Michelina Club says that she got this idea from her reporting that she could sort of retrain her daughter. Yes, she was thinking about a scene. She had read about in an anthropology book by Jean Briggs who studied the inuit in the Arctic in the sixties, the anyway still lived in pneumatic lifestyle, and in the winter they build Igloos to stay warm, and the mother had two young children I think that the time they were about three and six. Six, so this is a part of the world. That's one of the coldest parts of the world in so there were many days where like the little girls couldn't go outside there. They had nothing to do right. There were no videos legos, no children's books and there's these scenes in the book where the children literally spend like an hour or two in the morning under a blanket playing without bothering anyone yet. That sounds like a real dream culture. I cannot wait to get to that point and so looking at these cultures to do this. You see striking similarity, and that is that they do not feel the need to constantly entertain, educate or stimulate. However, you want to think about it children. It's a very different approach to the way they treat a child's time. And I. Think because they don't demand the child's attention. You do this now now. You're doing this now. You're doing this I. Think in return. The child stops demanding the parents attention, and so that's what I really wanted to test out to walk us through. What did you do? I stopped trying to demand Rosie's attention. Right I stopped trying to say now. It's nine o'clock. You're going to watch this video or we're gonNA. Read a book right? I stopped being the event manager for her. And I started doing the things. I needed to do and expect her to come along with me. And welcomed her right so another thing that like these other cultures do that? We tend not to do is welcomed the children into our worlds right? There's a very separate world child world. And I think in order for this to work. You have to welcome them into your world, so hey, we're cooking now. Come over here and you know probably stir these eggs or now we're cleaning. Help back you. It's not forced. It's not like you have to do it, but I'm not gonNA. Draw you a Narwhal right now. I'm cleaning and they do this with all of their work. It's not just cleaning and domestic chores, but also you know their businesses. The children are there. The children are welcome into the world of and so so I started doing that, too. I said well. You know what I need to write. I need to write like four hours a day. And Yeah me. Sitting on a computer writing is not very interesting, but neither is like sewing and an Igloo and so I said okay. I'm going to write I. Need Quiet. And you are welcome to sit here with me the first time we did it, I started small like thirty minutes, and if she really was upset at the beginning, I would stop I'm not trying to like force anything and make a lot of chaos in their house. It's really the opposite like if she was really like in the beginning, if she was really escalating with you and getting really upset, you would would give her some time. Yeah like I. I would really try to ignore her. Because I was really teaching her like this is quiet time and it's not time for me to give you attention. But? But if it got really bad and then I'd be like okay. Let's go outside. Let's take a break you know. But you guys the first time I did it. She was kind of stunned. She actually said to me. I can do anything I want as like. Yeah, you can do anything you want as long as you don't damage the house. Like you know she just couldn't believe it, so started sma- and after about a week we had worked up to lake. Hour hour and a half chunks in by like two weeks. She wants to do it even she'll be like. Are you going to write a? Show. Ask Me and so you built up to it and her main thing that she does. Being is what she will sit here in color with me for an hour or so, and then she kind of runs around the house in desert. Thing she can go outside she cooks quote unquote, which means like mixing different things in the kitchen and she makes them S. There's no doubt there's a message. To be honest, she latched onto it quicker and better than I thought it was going to be I mean. It is one child in one house, but it's backed up by all these other families right that I that we've seen in these cultures

Mayfield "absolutely" will kneel during national anthem

"Ends up so the PGA tour is back the NBA we believe is heading back Major League Baseball will be shut down the players throats to get back right and then we have the NFL again having the longest runway to get this thing going but while we're waiting for training camp to start at the end of next month and waiting so for some players to sign contracts we're seeing how so many players specifically so many white players are are joining their brothers in arms in terms of their teammates and fighting for the causes that they believe in and two stars over the weekend had some very interesting responses some of their followers on Twitter both J. J. watt in Houston and Baker Mayfield in Cleveland both of them at one point said you know to a fan you know that the fans and to them that I know that Baker Mayfield will be one of those guys kneeling or J. J. watt will be kneeling during the national anthem and they both said yeah you better believe we are we're going to show support for people who understand and feel like they have been wronged in all of this and they want to bring attention to this and both J. J. watt and Baker Mayfield shut down those Twitter followers that no no no that's not what this is about and we respect what they're going to do yeah and so to be clear and all this in differentiating them Baker's basically said he's absolutely going to Neil yes JJ said you don't speak for me and if you think that kneeling is about disrespecting the flag yes you have been listening so J. J. watt didn't commit to kneeling which it is is something that could sound like a headline but still J. J. watt speaking out about this all would have been one of my more unlikely bets going into this just because J. J. watt is never been a guy that's really straight about half one way or another he's been a guy that's gone out there to play football certainly been very charitable we know others a lot of the things that have been a part of his past and some of the relief efforts he's helped with in Houston but straining out in this way and offering an opinion on this wasn't something I expected from the three time defensive player of the soul again actually what they said was for Baker Mayfield that someone you know posting about in answering a post from a fan on his Instagram about Saturday that pleaded for him not to kneel Mayfield responded pull your head out I absolutely am and in response to a person treating tweeting at JJ watt pretty sure JJ what would not be taking a knee during the national anthem J. Extreme Binaries

"Hip. How you doing? I'm doing well. It is finally spring as in. I can go play in the garden up there in Vancouver Island think Ryland. Yeah things are great. The weather is absolutely gorgeous and same thing. I have been out in the garden. The the only downside the robins get up at like four in the morning and they're you know they're breeding at this point to the Chirp Chirp Chirp and so I have one that found the the the really likes the acoustics right outside my room and so I've been getting up at four in the morning and then I have to go and get up and I have to call the window and then I try to get back to sleep and then I can't get back to sleep until you. Ivan haven't been getting a lot of sleep because robin has been singing his little heart out every morning really loud right outside my window. So hopefully he'll find a girlfriend and get lost until then yeah. It's pretty funny but spring. I mean you can't you can't go wrong. That is awesome so we're familiar with regular binary stars two stars orbiting each other simple. Of course the universe has come up with every combination of things orbiting other things and this week we look at some extreme examples are Pamela solicitous. Figure this out. What is a binary star so a binary star is a announced that that needs plural because a binary system is to? Who'S SEPARATE STARS? So a binary star is a system that exists in two stars and they can come in just about any kind of combination of regular star. Compact object Advanced Star Baby Star and they form a whole myriad of different ways. They can either a rise out of a single collapsing molecular cloud where they clapsed into their individual solar system by side-by-side or they can gravitationally get caught up together through some activity in their advanced lives. So when you're looking at a system statistically it's most common that it formed like that but they didn't have to right right and we can talk about that later on but I'm sort of imagining. That's her standard formation gigantic cloud of gas and dust that swirling around and you get like instead of all polling into the middle it pulls into two separate like what are the dynamics. Why doesn't it all just turn into one big star in the middle? Why how can you get multiple stars orbiting around each other so you actually have to fragments in the same molecular cloud? Okay gravitate pulling together and it happens to be that these fragments are close enough that the orbit one another different facts can bring them closer and closer over the years but they formed from two distinct fragments in the same like cloud and the fact that molecular clouds is fragmenting is how we end up with separate stars so the fragmentation is an unusual. These two are close enough that they got caught up in each other's gravity. And so then the vast majority of these situations you end up with some amount of stuff like a stars worth amount or mostly a red dwarfs amount of stuff but every now and then you end up with an extreme amount of stuff. These are very large blobs of gas and dust. And sometimes you just end up with two regular blobs that interact in ways. That are extreme. So we talk about extreme binary stay. We're GONNA talk about a whole lot of different combinations. So it's not just necessarily the amount of material that went into the star and the rain that it took but in fact these stars can interact with each other in really weird ways and 'cause really bizarre effects that we can see okay so so let's sort of break this down. Then when as you define extreme then we've defined binary to stars orbiting each other and start can be all kinds of things so let's define extreme. Give me sort of Sirte classifying. The kinds of extreme things that can happen so so when I'm talking extreme events I I am talking about things that radically 'cause upheaval. In the life of a star that could only happen because this is a binary system that any singular star with not undergo these kinds of well really bad millennia

FEMA chief: Medical supplies now being shipped to hospitals

"As we come on the air this morning alarming and sobering numbers from across the globe there are now more than three hundred thousand confirmed cases worldwide and more than thirteen thousand deaths from corona virus and in the US there are now over twenty six thousand cases and at least three hundred forty have died New York the city that never sleeps has gone quiet now the epicenter of this crisis with more than twelve thousand confirmed cases one of at least five states asking residents to stay at home those restrictions affecting more than twenty percent of the country's population amid growing economic uncertainty the Senate is expected to finalize a deal on economic release later today Senate and house leadership are set to meet to discuss that trillion dollar rescue bill all of this has visibly changed life in America barely any cars on those normally act Los Angeles freeways the Las Vegas Strip usually buzzing with life now desolate and in the nation's capital the cherry blossoms have bloomed a sure sign of spring but no one knows what these next months will bring over the next hour we're going to break it all down ahead of a crucial week in confronting this crisis from the emergency medical response to the economic fallout to the many ways this virus takes a toll on all of us Dr Jen Ashton will join you shortly with her take on what the latest numbers mean and how you can protect yourself but we begin this morning with FEMA director Peter Gaynor who is now in charge of the government's response effort good morning Mr gainer and I want to start right away with FEMA's mission which is to lead America to prepare for prevent respond to and recover from disasters so how did we get to this point where we have health care workers desperate for critical supplies it's a it's a great question mother and you know my role today is is about today it's about tomorrow it's about where we are in two weeks my job is to bring together a whole of government whole of nation to include our business partners to make sure that we can navigate our way out of this and that's what we're doing every day so when it comes to things like supplies a we are shipping supplies we shipped yesterday we ship today with our ship tomorrow I will try to meet every need in the nation but a word of caution the supplies that governors are looking for the same supplies that every other country in the world is looking for so this is not a global problem it's a national problem and again working hard every day here to meet those demands so we we know you're working hard the task force announced yesterday that six hundred million N. ninety five mask protect healthcare workers have now been ordered but no one on that task force of the president of the vice president now you could answer the question when will they be ready for use let me run you part of that exchange that began with her own travel what exactly can expect to receive these masks every single governor across the countries of the exact same thing so there's a balance but we're examining the entire supply chain to make sure that when we make masks start coming and they're they're they're out there now they're out there now so can you tell us this morning when those masks will be distributed and how many they have been distributed they've been distributed all over the past couple weeks the shipping today they'll ship tomorrow we find more and more mastership because we have developing great partnerships with the with the commercial sector out there through donations wrapping up production so again they have been shipping we are trying to focus those shipments on the most critical hot spots in the country places like New York City Washington state California that is our priorities but but will the healthcare systems there be overwhelmed before mass get there I know you've been shipping some mass but the six hundred million orders are very important and critical at this point will you get them in time before the health system is overwhelmed again they're they're shipping today they shipped yesterday shift tomorrow and I think what one of the things that when you say what you mean how many which masks the new mailbox I mean it is hundreds of thousands of millions of things that we're shipping off from the stockpile but I I can't give you details about what every single state what every single cities doing but what I'm telling you that we are shipping from our national stockpile which shipping from vendors a with shipping from donations if it is happening but the demand is great the the the the man from the governors is great the demand around the world is great and I I have the best experts here I have a two star general from the joint staff at logistics that that is helping me solve these problems plus many other from government we are in this a hundred percent how many masks were in the strategic stockpile you said you're shipping from the stockpile have all those masks been distributed and if not why not again that there are still a supplies in the stockpile we are shipping all those supplies to all the demands all the Assam all the governors every day we are we're prepared to go to zero in the stock fell to meet demand again this is a whole of government effort and if I get if I could just you know and this is your responsibility I know the the president Dr thought you talked about testing you know if you don't need a test if you don't have symptoms please don't get a test because the demand for PPE on unnecessary testing is is something that's working against us so all in it together all right every American has a role to play and we ask you if you need to get a test and you have symptoms go get it if you just want to test to make yourself feel better please don't do that I I just want one more time in this mask you say your shipping amount where they're needed first you've still got some in the stockpile I wonder why that stockpile hasn't been depleted have you seen the urgent pleas from health care workers what we have I I've talked to a governor's approaches mercy managers we've gotten updates to the task force I am well aware of the high demand for these items but but again so why haven't those been shipped to those urgent care facilities if you have those masks in the stockpile as you say you have and their ship why weren't they ship before which which are really goes back to my original crust questions how are we in such bad shape at this point in terms of supplies yes so again like I said in the beginning you know my focus is on today right filling all the demands that have been in the queue filling demands that we get today tomorrow and into the next month to make sure that we should find a connect the the supply with the demand and meet that need you said your agency hadn't been invited to join the White House task force until last week should FEMA's involvement have ramped up sooner and why didn't it well I you know I'm not to look back on well you know what should have been done what wasn't done and we can do that at a later time again my focus on as a leaf of coordinating of federal operations is on is on today we can look back at another date my my my eyes are focused today tomorrow the next day in order to beat this coronavirus the Russian post is reporting that the U. S. intelligence agencies were issuing ominous classified warnings beginning in January about the global danger of coronavirus all this while president trump and others were downplaying the threat the post says that according to an official Donald Trump may not have been expecting this but a lot of other people in the government were they just couldn't get him to do anything about it the system was blinking red the president says this report is inaccurate so did you know about those warnings and if not why not you know that when it comes to public health emergencies the R. HHS I has been the lead for that they can be kind of on that mission I I was not part of any of those discussions whether they're reported or for factual it is I wanna go back to your mission again is to lead American to prepare for you had no indication the worldwide threat assessment of twenty nineteen said we assess the United States in the world will remain vulnerable the next flu pandemic for large scale outbreak of a contagious disease that could lead to a massive rates of death and disability severely affect the world economy and strained international resources so is it really fair to say you had no warning about this really again you know the public health medical mission statutory lies with HHS my mission FEMA prior to this natural disasters and those catastrophic events that happen but now it's a different world now HHS and FEMA locked arm in arm plus many other agencies from around government to include a private partners and today I'm trying to focus on today and tomorrow and we want to be in a couple weeks that is my mission and and what do you think we'll see in a couple of weeks a big change what again I think every American has a role to play I think the fifteen days do what you do what

"You guys are the two stars of this thing you're the Oregon I'm not the star was his original idea I came in late to help salvage what was going to be a disaster and once I couldn't get any straight answers on man who's the stage was a stage coming from how big is it you can have national acts out there and not provide them with the minimum requirements for a live music venue so if you can't do that you can't show me who you pain you don't really have a festival you have an idea in the idea right now is what it is today from what we've seen which is a empty lots were you gonna fly them in because the drive there is not really very conducive to we're gonna helicopter on yeah well you have to do it what you have you had a helicopter pad altered we there was supposed to yeah I'd want their supposed to clear the land to provide a helicopter pad which we don't which wasn't done by the time you guys never thought you know if I asked you this many months ago. that all these people would be involved you be doing interviews not just here but TMZ national interviews would you believe that if I asked you that like a year ago absolutely not this isn't something you can predict at all if you told me that something of mine would have gone international I have my Facebook page into Czechoslovakia newspaper I would have believed you I would've said you're both. do you think that's okay do you think that down the road there is a chance that maybe you guys can do something out there or after this whole ordeal the last few weeks are you guys saying yourselves that's it there's no effing way we are ever going to even try to organize like something we don't work with these people again do you think this is an end all and all and we're being contacted by from every major night club across the United States a storm area fifty one or an alien stock promotion like if they want to continue in their city because not everybody can be here obviously authority of work but this is low yeah we want to take it we definitely want to take it on the road in and make it a a celebration you know very fit all things alien which is we think you know I'm surprised always test on it yet but scene where the originators of it we like to to take it to every city and and possibly are the United States so copyright shirts dude tell me about it tell me about IT on top of it I wanna I wanna get Connie west one of these days on the line with you guys I I need you guys to have a conversation on the air because you guys need to make good with one another life is too short I don't know exactly what transpired between you guys but we have to get that to happen life is too short I think he wanted what you guys wanted I I'm like I'm not speaking for both of you but she wanted this to be a success you guys wanted this to be a success there was obviously some major communication errors I'm not blaming anybody but I'm just saying you guys all wanted everybody to have a good time reading even your son yourself look we didn't do this for the money we're not try we we we didn't start this we want to have fun with this we wanted everyone to come out to Rachel Nevada a place were nobody wants to go I think it's fair to say and have a good time out you don't want anyone to break the law let me ask you this though if you guys did do this we gotta take a break in a minute if you guys did do this do you think that some people would have actually stormed area fifty one yeah I think it would happen I think they probably would two guys did it last week and I did a something one of the liability that you have that close to the to the vicinity of the base. jail time too by the way how much time you think you get for something like that they gave them a three year suspended sentence or something like that at the figure ten yeah since you're not gonna make it you're not gonna see anything why would you do something like that but I would imagine to be some drinking out there and some people probably would have the best judgment that probably makes a mistake I was one of the biggest problems I had when the infrastructure wasn't in place if you take all the risks that yeah we do have associate with this and if you've ever been in a fair festival yeah everything that can happen will happen if you leave that one paper Cup on the one Ice Cube that somebody's going to step on your foot they find it that's right yeah now imagine you haven't made continue sees for any of that and then all that on the left hand side and then you add alcohol no question of you just joining us got storm area fifty one craters Maddie Robertson Frank DiMaggio when we come back I want to promote the event that you got going on in Las Vegas this week I'm also take some phone calls if you have questions for these guys if you're planning on going to storm area fifty one give us.

"That is die on was going to be that out of shape he probably should not have played it was just you could see it it was readily apparent being in the stands in Vegas right like you need booked object didn't have the size same explosiveness same burst he'll get back there I'm not worried about that I think that he's been ordained is the number one overall pick now for seven months eight months or whatever I'm after the Duke season ended he probably just let it go a little bit in terms of his training everything I know about the on is that he is tireless worker and a great dude I think you'll get back in shape ultimately I do think that the injury concerns are valid this is the guy that his dealt with just these kind of little necks over the course of his career like sprained knee from the blown out shoe at two he had a foot injury in high school yes Tom injury and them solve all American games that then held out for a few weeks after that there's another one that I can't remember what my head right now but there are there's a past here there's a track record of the markets because in having troubles we're not the most of the sorry as I am willing to having these troubles with injuries and I worry that he's gonna be a guy the kind of picks them up just because the explosiveness combined with how hard he plays is something we haven't seen in the end be able or it's just very different and I worry that just training staff are gonna really know how to handle that they're the only can have a lot of really deal with with don they signed their Nelson who's the songs you know die trainer for many years in the sun had a great great track record in terms of getting guys to play longer and keeping guys healthy err Nelson as working out form I think just with violent but obviously the talent is just so ridiculous design on it you take a risk and just go for it a last one Jimmy Butler he said I'm all about winning a mob won a championship what's he doing in Miami because look make it a point to know unit hanging out of salt Peters worse ways to live yeah I think that that has a lot to do with it I'm sure that Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra and Andy Ellsberg ended up pitching him that Hey we'll bring you a second star it might not be this year because we're gonna be hard capped from having to sign in trade for you but we're gonna bring you a second star at some point you'll be competing for titles I mean more in the era of player empowerment and whether or not I believe that Jimmy Butler is going to get a second star to play in Miami whenever they don't really cap space for two years I'm pretty skeptical that and I think that ultimately if he was all about winning the easier move would have been going to a team like the clippers are listening to you know maybe the Lakers is another star to join the Anthony Davis and lebron James but you know Jimmy Butler should do what makes Jimmy Butler happy in this playing for a you know average team in Miami and getting to hang out on South Beach and you know do what Jimmy Butler does off the court then yeah I think that you know do whatever makes you happy man Hey as we let you go in your article on the bulls you said here's the thing over the last year bulls are promoted to people within the organization things seem to be running better that coincides with the night they traded Jimmy Butler John Paxson also took control of the reins again gar Forman has basically been farmed out a man you're scouting you're not deal with the media and I'm running things and it's no coincidence thanks I've got more stable I think that that's probably part of it instead of sharing it does look like tax and has taken over as you said I want to say that they promoted they're promoted someone to assistant GM why with wine and with what is his first name is Steve Weinmann I think I'm right remote it yep promoted him to assistant GM he was doing like analytics since basketball often I'm trying to think there's another another one Ryan Hagen I want to say Dr moated up like to assistant general manager levels so I think that they're just listening to more voices first and foremost a kind of a thing you hear around the league that the bulls are listening to more voices in the front office I also do think that to an extent there is a is just a top down strategy going from you know quote unquote car packs to just tax and with garb hello him as the general manager and scouting and doing everything that he's actually really good out like you look at the polls track record the bulls have one of the most successful track record based on where they pick in the NBA draft over the course of I want to say it's like the last decade or so they've actually been really really good at it so I think that you know the car is a very good eye for talent and it may be creating a more top down structure with Paxson and listening to more voice in the front office created a situation where it's fostered better decision making from the bowl so I definitely think that some of the changes in the front office structure is leads to where we are where you know they've been able to pick up three starters in the last six months for very minimal cost and they look like a team that on the upswing now Hey man I really appreciate the knowledge keep up the great work in the athletic yep anytime guys you got it there you go Sam the CD from the athletic with him and he's been very critical of the bulls over the years very very full of praise for how things have run since the night be traded Jimmy Butler away we'll take a time out is fatigue a problem for the Chicago Cubs what would go to the best video apps theme answers that next pros do it right to save five percent more on eligible S. Air Force regulations as any item progress strategy or element of information the compromise of which would result in unrecoverable failure so another words revealing the existence of a black program with undermines military value and no comment for some of these is even a breach of security in this of the statement emphasized by it could make himself back into the alternate not a word you can't just say no comment for some of these you really that would be a breach so you have to categorically deny it deny its existence gentlemen are not denying it they just right comment is very interesting yeah it is it just replying is a comment I did just and just that simple side of it well we need to take a break right here birthday guy so we'll do just that but we are talking tonight about the amazing revealing Davis Wilson leaked you of all documents are gassed Richard Dolan I'm yours to be church this is coast to coast AM we'll be right back if you don't know your numbers you don't know your business meet Evan Goldberg founder of next week I had to learn that the hard way with my first company that's why I started net sweet I needed to.

"Then they knew what it is what it was. That they were doing. So to me, this is really an indictment of the Lakers. The idea that I can look at the Nixon be like, you know, what they might have a better plan than you. Do. What's interesting in this story to me is that they had Frank head people fear rising that not only do you need kyri Irving to join. Kevin durant? Not only do you need a second star the second star that LeBron did not have an LA. It's that there is an argument or discussion at least about who's gonna sign I because that's sort of the alpha male ego thing, right? Who's going to be the first and who's going to be the follower with the bottom line? Is that Kevin Durant does need someone else because without him? I think you invite all the stuff that has seen the face of LeBron. Right. But the flipside of where Frank is talking about though is the idea that you've got a good thing in Golden State into you walk away from that good thing doesn't matter. How good that thing? Is thing does not make you happy. It does not matter. How that thing is the thing doesn't necessarily want to have to put up with you much longer. Right. Because I can't imagine. They're having a great time hanging out with Kevin Durant in the locker room that team. That's right. Right. Like this. Is one that none of us. I had real insight into we've heard that he's going to go to the Knicks. But it you wanna decipher with that guy is going to do if you want to try to figure out what's going through that guy's mind that guy's heart. Good luck. And that is going to be such a fun thing for us to dissect. If he does come to this city because we've been doing a lot of dissecting about LeBron brain, but Kevin Durant and the relationship that he and his guy rich climate may or may not have with the ownership of the Knicks with the front office of the Knicks. Jim dolan. Scott Perry's Scott Perry who drafted Kevin Durant. If you are young guys on that team. And Kevin Durant comes in and wants to make wholesale changes. I into look at Kevin Durant as both my colleague and also potentially as my employer. Yeah. But here's the thing if he wants to come in and make wholesale changes. And I'm on the Knicks one of those wholesale changes. His I ain't got to play for the Knicks. No more. I'm welcoming the new boss worst case scenario was up free. That's the worst thing that could happen here as I ain't got to play nicks. No more. One thing. I don't get nothing. We give way too much cream has anything happened with the Lakers, this ideal man, you might get traded at this guy comes in here. Everybody might get traded at any given point in time you go to wind up probably goal somewhere where you give more chances to play. If that happens that can't be the big deal here. But do even know Kevin Durant has that much of a concern with how the team is run? No. We don't because. Kevin Durant actually has not said that he wants to go to the Knicks at all. But wanna talk about? All right. Coming up next is the odor of the war. You're scared of the MBA. Hi, new brought to you by the US army. Find out go army dot com slash warriors. "I mean, that's simply to make the guy feel good. There's no one. That's untouchable. You're telling me that the Lakers would not trade. Lebron? If it brought him back say two stars. Of course, they would. I mean, there's a price for everybody. And that's I think really all Jeff was saying is that should be part of their consideration. What if they can't attract another star too to play with LeBron they can either trade him for a younger star or they can go back to a rebuilding mode. But highly accelerated because of what they could get could they trade him to Boston and get the package that they're talking about for for Anthony Davis and get Jason Tatum, and Jalen Brown and picks. Why wouldn't you consider that? If you were LA man, I think that's pretty shocking. What you're saying? Because those those players aren't good enough. Well, no, I'm not saying they should do it. My thing is though ever. Everything should be open. If you're trying to make your team better. And even though he's had one of the most remarkably slow declines, and until this year, no decline in NBA history of LeBron's not going to get better over the next three years. And so, you know, everything should be on the table. I don't think Jeff was saying that you they should trade him. It's just it should be part of their considerations. I think there's a general fatigue, and sort of ripping LeBron we can only muster so much energy because of the time with Miami. I think people sort of got tired of it. But and and I understand the qualifier of oh, he missed games. Okay. But he played so many more for the Lakers and for them to have the same record at this point this season as did last season a season in which they didn't have LeBron James. This is absolutely a stain on that record fairly fairly extenuating circumstances made an appearance because then I do think it's fairly obvious that. That injury and everything that happened during that injury made that team explode in his face like they weren't before the injury. They were not what they were after the injury. They've been like the worst team in the league since the injury. Yeah. No question. I mean, it was the injury. And it was the whole Anthony Davis thing. And then it was the other injuries. Now. I mean, you know, they've had injuries to other people. So it has been not a good second half of the season. Well, really not since Christmas for the Lakers. But, but let's make sure that we understand that on Christmas day, they blew out the warriors, and they were tied for fourth in the Western Conference. So there's definitely a case to be made that this team can win the younger players should get better. But they've got some issues there major issues in terms of chemistry and trust. And look, this isn't the typical thing it wasn't the typical thing where there. Trade. Rumors players around the league are used to that. Everybody's name comes up and the whole thing. This was an offer they offered those players. And so you're clearly not committed to those guys yet. You want them to be fully committed to you that didn't work out this year. And they got a lot of work to do if they wanna come back with those guys next year. What has to be fixed? What has to be fixed next season before Anthony Davis can actually get there? What do you imagine is going to end up happening? So that this LeBron James cannot be spending this part of his career missing the playoffs. No, not at all. Because you know again. I mean, he he's he's closer to the end of his career certainly much closer to the end of the of his career than he is to the to the beginning. And they need to get him help. Now. I mean, look their plan has always been to preserve that cap space..

You've got the two stars of the new movie. Evan Hofer and Tanner Stein that play the brother, etc. But this week I was very honored to get some time to sit down with Tim tebow one on one, and I wanted to bring you that exclusive conversation, we talk about a lot of things we covered a lot of ground in the short time that we had together, and this is pretty much how that went Tim congrats on run the race. Thank you be exciting to be in the movie business. This is happening on the weekend that you just came off of the night to shine. Yes. Gimme what was that? Like this year. My favorite night of the year. One of my favorite nights of my life. Six fifty six Nitish is around the world problems for people with special needs and crown over one hundred thousand kings, and queens. Two hundred thousand volunteers a special and why it's so special to me is because so many things get to shine all of those people with special needs kids in China. Walk down a red carpet that churches gets his shyness. They impact their communities have gone gets a shine as as we love people there. So close this heart, the New Yorker, the number of churches that they've had to date involved, and it was really cool to see. Why football story about two brothers as your first film? It really impacted me, and it wasn't necessarily to do with football just happen to be a piece of it. When we read it it was it was it was the relationship. It was the the struggle. It was the real life about this so many movies that we saw growing up and still come out today and even faith based movies. They're like, oh, you know, if everything's gonna be happily ever after it's just not true that real life. Sorry to break, a tease, you're not always gonna win. You're not always gonna come in first place. But how even in the midst of it? We can have faith open love, we can wattle way encourage weaker, walkaway inspired. We can walk away ready to take on real life. And and how there's ups and downs in real life. Just like in this movie, and how you can you can see God work throughout the highs and lows not just us but through us after throwing for three hundred yards against the Steelers. On a year where you were told that you didn't have the right kind of throwing mechanism in bouncing around. Another couple of years. I was one of those dads that really wanted to see you back in the NFL and my boys so that they can have a chance to kind of know the Tim tebow story where are you at sports wise in the Mets organization is still in play. What are your goals? What are your hopes? Well, from what they said, I'll be starting in AAA. But the goal is to get to the bigs. And but that's not just if I get there. And so when I get to live out, my dream, and and be able to pursue something. And that's on my heart. Even in the midst of a lot of criticism for it. And and I get the to do something I love and passionate about that. You've taken every opportunity win something looks like a door is closed or or what have you, and you've always been able to use the platform that God has given you to turn light inch in illustrates something else. When you were playing it Florida. Did you ever think that your life would be ending where it is kind of just very non-conventional? I know I mean, there's probably a part of me that thought, hey, you know, this is awesome. Joins your championships. I'm going to go in a few. It'd be great. And you know, all get stuff you the whole time. But you know, it doesn't work like that. But also not everybody can relate to the highest. But most people can relate to the lows and so. Has greater impact with your life. I think so in my opinion, it gives you more related ability to be able to share that you know, like most people have been told their life. You're not good enough. You can't you shouldn't you won't. And I've been told that a lot can incur them in the midst of that now doing encourage that as I feel like I'm here during courage people going through lows, not the people that think they're you know, on the top of the world. I wanna occurs. Am I go are foundations vicious statements ring faith, over loved to those and eating a brighter day and their darkest hour. That's where I have the biggest heart for last question. Congratulations on your engagement. You broke a lot of girls hearts when you let the news. We know. But your goal was to remain absent and to be honorable to Christ in your dating courtship. Why was that important to you? Well, there are so many reasons that that it's important. Demi someone that that is unique and so special and incredible. And actually, it's really cool because we met through night to shine. Her sister has special needs. And so is my favorite of the year and something she's so passionate about actually brought us together. And so he kind of laugh about her sister was the matchmaker. Yeah. That's incredible. Tim, thanks. Thank you so much. So that was the sit down that Tim was able to give me earlier this week. And with no further ado, his new film opens this coming Thursday again, we'll have the cast here next weekend. For radio Night Live but take a look at run the race produced by the Tibo brothers. Zack. Running back at Bessemer date for companies to convert you. Sports. Almost six. Tell you. I said, hey, thank you. Thank you. Somebody's dos. Big yields just a letter saying that there's interest shot. I'm going to get that scholarship. Let me get us out of here. I don't wanna end up like death guys martyred, but joining us. Appetite within.
