Ultraflex Football
A highlight from 41: 2023 Predictions!
"Welcome to the Ultra Flex Football Podcast where we have fun with our friends while we talk about football and any anything else we wanna talk about. We're here for season two. I don't know if we're officially calling it season two but this is our second season of talking about NFL football. So, we're back. With me as always is Rob Green. What's up? And Ryan Wheeler. Howdy, howdy. Season two episode one is what it's officially gonna be titled and Tony, I told you not to talk so close to the mic, man. You like, blew out my eardrums there at the beginning but I just get excited. I know. You're so excited. You get excited so easily. We were talking about that before we like, actually started recording but anywho, uh so, we do that thing where we have an album and we split up the songs in the album and we try to get the song titles into the show as discreetly as possible. Sometimes not as discreet as we'd like to think we are but we're gonna give you our titles that way you know what to listen for. See how many you can catch. Just a little game within our show. My song titles, the album first of all is called Down to Earth by Jimmy Buffet. Rest in peace, Jimmy Buffet. It's his first album. Down to Earth. The songs that I have to get in are The Christian, LSD, The Missionary, and A Mile High in Denver. Rob, what do you got? Alright, I have the captain and the kid, Captain America, Ain't He a Genius, and Turnabout. Alright, and Sir Anthony. I've got There's Nothing Soft about Hard Times, I Can't Be Your Hero Today, and Truck Stop Salvation. So, we'll see if we can get all of those in. Uh most of the episode today is gonna be football. It's uh we we were doing some things during the off season to help pass time. Uh you know, Ultra Flex After Dark and having some fun with games and things like that but football season is here. Uh we're gonna be doing football talk here in a second where we're gonna pick our division of winners. We're gonna pick our Super Bowl, MVP, and then we're gonna pick week one games and then we'll have one game at the end. So, uh football, football, football. So, let's get it started with football talk. Just that really amps you up, doesn't it? Golly, that was good. It puts me in the football mood. It just, it feels like we're kind of, you know, whimsical, a little bit of uh goofy when we talk. So, I thought that was a good one for football, our football talk. Let's, let's start with, in my opinion, the less competitive conference which would be the NFC. Uh maybe you guys think differently. Um but let's go with NFC West. We'll skim over this if we all agree pretty quickly. Uh I'll go first. This one and then we'll just kinda alternate uh as we jump divisions but uh for me, the NFC West is the 49ers winning this division. Um I think they're the best team in the NFC. Any chance we can like we go NFC West that includes the that way for people that don't necessarily have the NFC West on the top of their head you're just gonna see that includes like the 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, uh Rams. Yeah, you just you just did it. Yeah, we can do it. Okay. Nailed it. Yeah. So, 49ers, Seahawks, uh Cardinals, Rams. For me, Cardinals, Rams are both gonna be pretty not so great. Comes out of the Seahawks and 49ers and I just think the 49ers are a better roster. Brian? Oh, it's next. Um I'm gonna go with the 49ers. I just think top to bottom, the roster is the best. Rob? Yeah, I agree but I wanna be different. So, give me the Seahawks. We hated on him last year. We picked him to be like what? One and sixteen I think cuz we thought they were terrible. Gino Smith's gonna continue his uh career turnaround, turn about. I don't know if I can use that here. And uh. And he's gonna lead them to a division title. Alright. They have the offensive weapons to do it though. They definitely have the offensive weapons. Maybe Brock Purdy isn't as good as he looked at the end of last year. We'll see. He doesn't have to be. They have Sam Darnold as the backup. I don't think that's why he doesn't have to be good but anyway. Yeah. I think he has enough weapons and Kyle Shanahan around him that will make him. Exactly it. Make him look good. Uh Ryan, I'll let you go first this time. We're talking about the NFC North. So, we got the Lions, the Packers, the Bears, and the Vikings. Who do you have winning that? The NFC North, I have the Packers taking that division. It kinda just feels like a crapshoot division honestly. I mean, I don't really feel good about my pick. I don't feel about picking any, good about picking any of those teams. So, I just want Jordan Love to be good because he's got an awesome name and quite honestly, that's that's how I came up with my answer. So, I was like, got the guy that has love in his name. I'm pretty sure from looking at this division, the odds are the closest bunch of four out of all the the division. Makes sense. So, it kind of is the most wide open division, I think. Who do you have? Yeah, who do you have picking, Rob? You know, our team last year was the Lions. So, I'm gonna I'm gonna bring that over to this year. Let's go with the Lions too. I don't even know the last time they won the division. Nineties probably. Early 90s, mid 90s. If they did then. I just don't know either. I think we'll find out pretty early AKA we're filming this on a Monday before the season starts. So, we'll find out in 3 days whether or not they'll be a pretty good team again which they have enough talent on the offense to put up points. It'll just. Yeah, what are we thinking like 60 points in that first game here with the Lions and Chiefs? It's gonna be a high score game. Probably, yeah. Yeah, no Chris Jones for the Chiefs and then the Lions don't really have much of anybody on defense. Um that means that yeah, they did what they took that linebacker. I can't think of his name right now. Um. The guy that everybody won the bills. Jack Campbell. Jack Campbell. Yeah. Yeah. Um but I agree. I have power on offense to be the best team in that division but I wouldn't would I be shocked if the Vikings or the Packers or even the Bears for that matter were to win it. Probably not. So, I'll go with the Lions. Uh the NFC East another compelling division. Got three and a half maybe. I don't know about Washington. Good teams. Um which the Cowboys, the Eagles, uh the commanders, and the Giants. Rob, who do you have winning the NFC East? Yeah, I like the Eagles. I think they're the best team in the NFC and I think they showed that last year. I think they'll do that again this year. Jalen Hurts continues his uh breakout. I won't say an MVP season but he could have another MVP caliber season like he did last year. Yeah, mine's gonna be the Eagles as well. I think their roster. While the Cowboys and Giants are gonna probably both win nine, ten games. I think the Eagles are just good enough to win eleven or twelve games and and win that division. So, Ryan, what about you? Yeah, I'm gonna be different and go uh Cowboys um not because I wanna be different but because I actually think the Cowboys are I think they have a better defense and I think their offense maybe not as good but I think they have a good offense and uh quite honestly, both these teams have pretty cake schedules. Um the Rob and I were talking about it earlier. Um sorry, we left you out of this conversation, Tony but the uh the Cowboys or I'm sorry, the the Eagles first was like seven games are the Patriots, Vikings, Buccaneers, Commanders, Rams, Jets, Dolphins, and then commanders again. It's like it's not that difficult. It could be six and one, seven and all. Yeah. And then the Cowboys was very similar. Like last year. So, it kinda feels like whoever wins this division is probably gonna win it with twelve. Twelve wins. Somewhere around there. Eleven, twelve. So, I just, I'm just gonna go Cowboys on that. That's gonna be a lot of my points in the AFC uh which we'll talk about in a second uh which is how hard all of their schedules are but uh last division um the NFC side is the NFC South. Could be the worst division in football. Uh we got the Saints, the Bucks, the Falcons, and the Panthers.

A highlight from THE HASH: Much-Hyped Shibarium Network's Turbulent Start; Tether to Stop Support for Bitcoin Layer Omni
"This is the hash podcast. Stay informed with the latest on Bitcoin, ETH, the metaverse, web3, and more. All on the hash for your ears. You're listening to the coindesk podcast network. Hey there, welcome to the hash on coindesk TV. I'm Zach Seward. That's Jen Sonase. That's Will Foxley. We get you up to speed on the crypto news every weekday. Same place, same time. You're looking at it. We're going to start with some meme coin news, and I think Jen is going to lead us off, so take it away. All right. The Shib token plunged 9 % on apparent Shibarium bridge issues, marking a turbulent launch of the Shibarium network. Blockchain data shows that transactions on the network were stalled for at least five hours. One of the Shibarium developers responded to reports of an outage in a blog post saying there is no bridge issue and that the problem occurred following a mass influx of transactions. So Shibarium, this layer two, launched yesterday. There were lots of dog balloons and pool floaties at ETH Toronto for this announcement. Dogs everywhere, and now we have the token plunging because of these apparent bridge issues. Will, tossing it off to you, or Zach, sounds like you have something to say. What do you make of this? I don't know. Are the Shib people really in it for the tech? Is this really causality? What is this? Is this real? Like the whole point of a meme coin is just trading it, you know, just trading it, just doing whatever with it. It's not about the bridging or the... I don't get it. I don't get it. I question whether or not this stuff is as causally linked as this headline would suggest, but I don't know. Will, what do you have to say? Will, I don't know what to say. Okay. I'm pretty sure this is the correct take, but I do want to leave a big asterisk there in case it's the wrong take. Think like this whole bridging thing really comes down to like multi -sigs because no one has really figured out bridges yet. Like even the most leading Ethereum teams out there working on L2s, roll -ups, so like the Optimism team all the way down to like Arbitrum, stuff like that. They haven't quite figured out a lot of these bridging things yet, and they're mostly multi -sigs, and they're mostly run by the developer teams or the core teams at these foundations. And I have no expectation that would be any different for Shiba Inu, which is a meme coin, and therefore probably not hiring the best tech help out there. Like if the best of the best L2 teams can't quite figure out how to decentralize the bridging networks, which these things essentially are, then we can't say that this is either. All right. So let's go back to a different story last year with the wormhole hack, which happened when Jump Crypto, which is running this bridge between two networks, was hacked. Why did that happen? Well, at the end of the day, it's also multi -sig. You're able to put funds on this bridge, and those funds are supposed to go to the other part of the bridge, but the gatekeepers on either side are just people with private keys holding them, bringing in transactions, releasing those transactions to the other side. It's a highly manual process. At the end of the day, like there's a lot of human error there, right? Like no one has quite figured out bridging yet. I think that's what you go with the Shiba Inu thing here, where they're trying to get these tokens over the other side, but it's not as seamless as you might expect when you're just sending like Ethereum on top of Ethereum, or sending Bitcoin on top of Bitcoin. That's really simple because it's just the network doing its thing. But when you add like this human element of like, I need to start the lights and I need to turn off the lights and get the tokens over whenever I can, that's where you get like these transaction problems with the volume, so I'm moving as fast as people expect. So I think this is just about the tech here. I don't think it has anything to do with like the network having any major issues. Just like, that's where bridging is at, but people don't think of it that way, right? People think of it as like, this should be very quick as all things are in crypto. And I think that's why you see like things react in pricing because people have expectations that network is going to function some way, but in reality, it doesn't function that way because the technology isn't there yet and people's expectations are misaligned and then the price starts collapsing. So that's what I read from this story. Jen? Why do we keep having these expectations? It feels like déjà vu. Big expectations and then a launch that maybe doesn't meet up to all of the excitement that happens during the testnet phase. I am most curious to see if this project successfully goes from just like random meme token to actual serious project where developers are building real things and users are actually doing things. Of course, they launched this like metaverse and layer two, and they said that 21 million wallets were created in the testnet phase. I'm just curious to see if they can actually get something going, maintain momentum. And then in the next bull cycle, I'm just curious to see like which layer two makes it. It feels like, you know, feels like maybe some of these layer twos that are popping up now may not be around in the long term. Zach, what do you think? I mean, they're saying all the right things, but I'm pessimistic. I think they're saying the right things like, oh, we're layer two. It's layer two season. We got layer two. We're metaverse. We got metaverse. Let's say some stuff. We're here for the long haul. There's real utility. I don't know. I've seen this. I feel like I've seen this rodeo before, and I guess I'm less willing to credulously believe. I'm jaded. I'm jaded, guys. So, you know, Shiba will do what Shiba does, and that's fine. Meme coins are fine. They don't have to have this elaborate roadmap, but I don't know, it just feels like sort of opportunistic positioning relative to the other things going on in the market. But I just don't know, Will. I don't know what to say about the Shibas.

"Yeah. Yeah, I mean, even just having freaking wool socks is much more cotton cotton cotton. Awful. Yeah. I like the wool bit. The thing about these kind of wet situations is that's like where the, you know, you can get by with in like second season, a lot of years with just like, you know, some shitty gear. But it's just like kind of what we always talk about, like just the water and cold. Just fucking brings all the errors in your gear out, everybody. Everybody in Washington and Oregon laughing at us. We got 20 four inches worth of rain snow. See, I think we're in a weird spot where we have to go from a hundred floss in the summer sometimes. At least where we live to you go up to 10,011 thousand feet. In November, and it is negative. You know what I mean? That's a huge range of temperature. So by August, you're like, oh yeah, a hundred and too bad. I like it. You know, your body's acclimated. And then it goes to 60 in town, and I'm wearing a puffy. Boom. Yeah, I look like a Texan. Especially if it's wet, man. Like when we went to Alaska, you know, it was 50 and raining the whole time. And I was like, four layers deep, had long Johns on. That's warm to them. Yeah, yeah, exactly 50s. 50 is a nice T-shirt day. Well, do you guys have any other talking points? I have one conditions. What you got? Number one, as a PSA. But when that snow is wet and heavy. Since we're on the wet and heavy snow talk, it's intense. Specifically our tents? Yes. Or any can't, really? Yeah. An inch or two of that wet, you know? Can weigh so much? Oh yeah. And

"That's one thing. I've progressively learned. I think leading up to this, I was just like, okay, I'm going to make sure I'm not freezing my ass off. Because I feel like that's how it was. That turkey hunt, I was freezing. And I was like, okay, I'm not going to let that happen again. The only thing that was freeze and was my toes. No matter what. And then like wet snow like that to maybe something that would have helped me out a little bit. It's just having The Rain jacket on over everything else. That's what I was going to touch on. I was wearing my rain jacket on top of everything because the snow was so wet and so fat and flaky. If you were just wearing a puffy or something else, it's going to start wetting you out. But there was a pretty significant breeze too. So The Rain jacket was a win on each. Which you wouldn't think in the snow have a rain jacket, but these early season snows where they can be really wet. Yeah. That is huge. I brought mine for that reason. I never wore it. But it's something that, you know, next year, or next week, if we do get some wetter snow, it's just like, yeah, that's part of the kit there, for sure. It doesn't even necessarily have to be like a weird typical gore Tex rain jacket. There's fabrics out there that are, you know, that aren't necessarily to that level that are more comfortable to wear that you can wear as a rain jacket, but it can also just be like you're kind of top layer type thing. And I think that is even better for this time of year because sometimes rain jackets like if it's like gore Tex, they can be super, I don't know, just uncomfortable to wear and like every time you pour your glasses up, it's just like, yeah, I don't know, it bugs me.

"Man, I don't know. Recently, and we've been talking about it in the office, like I just am not a big fan of backpack hunting unless it's absolutely necessary. I like it. I like it. But I have kind of a seasoned requirement for it. Usually archery first and maybe second season that hasn't been his wintry. We've had such a wintry fall. I guess I'll go in on second season. But example like third season, when I have that Cal tag and you and I went, it was negative ten in the valley as we were driving up to our spot. Super cold. Super cool. No snow on the ground. I was hunting and mountain bike shoes. Tennis shoes. But like that, that's cold. But you can still find dry wood. Generally, right? It was just not wet. So it wouldn't almost, it wouldn't be as big of a deal, but this season, second, third, truck camping. Driving up. Cabin. Wow, when is that cold? You can do it. You can always do it. You can always find the dry wood. You can dry the wood out. You get the backpack on wherever you want. But for me, when it's wet, cold. It's just like, everything's wet. I mean, it's dependent on conditions. That's baseline. Yeah, baseline. And then, I mean, I think if you were to know an area really well, and it is really what snow, if you know that there is maybe some down trees, you know, any branches or anything that's not getting hit by so much snow. Then maybe, you know, I think it's more about researching that area, being able to spend time in that area. And then you'll feel a little more comfortable backpacking in. For sure. And I guess that's just the thing just being being flexible because it sucks to be wet. It's my least favorite thing. The freaking wet boots, the wet socks. Colorado Colorado boys when it rains. I was telling Ryan this too. I was like, I don't know what hunting's like without having the stove. They're so I feel it's pretty freaking fortunate. It should be pretty poop. But I also wanted to do more backpacking and I feel like that would be more of my jam, but it's just you have to take in so many factors and it's really knowing the area that you're going into. The biggest thing this time of the year is if you're set up and it's a dry day. You set up on a Saturday, first day of the season or a Friday. It's nice and dry, but Sunday, big storm comes through. My always my biggest worry is where the trucks parked.

But then they were just in the nastiest furthest drainage away. Steepest, deepest shit. Steve is, you know, you can look at a map and have a topo and wherever the lines are closest to each other. It's probably where the Elk are. Especially like, you know, mid season and Colorado. Yeah, I guess there was about a herd of 200, but we would have had a driven quite a ways on a pretty sketchy road. And it was kind of getting marbled out to because of that wet snow is just super slick. Yeah. And fortunately, we all have a little bit of meat in our freezer, so we're just like, is it really worth it to try and go get the truck stock? It would be a different thing if we would have been camped out and there already. We would have probably tried to go, but I mean, it was a 5, 6 mile drive to do another three mile for mile hike in some pretty rough stuff. And they said it was like a herd of like 200, which I don't know, kind of have a hard time believing for second, but even at that, you know, when you're looking at that many animals with your luck of getting real close to them, to be able to get a shot is pretty large. Pretty slim, man. So we ended up heading home the area where we were hunting, there's not even a road to really get into anymore. It's just road construction. Everywhere, or it's like maybe 200 miles, but it's like a four and a half hour drive. Really? Yeah. So we kind of called it glitz. We were just like, yeah, it's just not the season for it. I do have a third tag over the counter bowl. I'm gonna try and get on this hunting day or two this weekend. Oh, nice. I didn't know that. But I have so much food. There was a lot of logging that had happened in the last year. And so he had known the area pretty well and then all that logging changed a lot of stuff. So we the area we were at to had a bunch of great El Capitan. Almost to a negative because you could look up at any hill and be like, that's a great spot, you know? That's a great spot. You can look up at the mountains, anything. You're like, this is like perfect Elk country. And as the saying goes, 90% of the Elk are in 10% of the area. So when you have all that, all that area that looks super good. And 90% of the Elk are in 10% of the area. It's kind of hard to make a choice, especially after you've scouting trip. His scouting drip didn't go well. He hunted the first week. And so we kind of hunted like mid week of second season there. But yeah, I drove from town. It was pretty long drive. 'cause traditionally, most of the animals I've ever gotten have been like. Yeah, you got a steak I'm out, you know what I mean? Because it's like so steep. You go to flip it over and it rolls if you times. That makes it so much worse. Oh yeah. One especially like if you're trying to, you know, just with how the, you know, for those people that don't know ungulates like deer Elk and antelope, they chew their coat. They always have full stomachs, it's always full of grass. So they're always like. Yeah, ballooned and like when you're trying to clean an animal, the worst thing that you can do is puncture that because it's essentially just getting shit, literal shit all over the meat. But, you know, if you're on a steep hill, a lot of the times, it's that protrusion, gravity is pulling on it one way or the other. And it can make it very difficult to get in there, especially when you're going by those rear quarters, trying to disassemble those things. But yeah, I mean, I think one thing that I always feel so and I talk about this in the video, I think there's a big difference between killing like a dough. For me, there is. Like a dough, like specifically a dough deer, dough antelope. And killing a deer or even like a cow Elk. For me, some reason for some reason. It's almost as if like

"Yeah. I did see some mug boots out there too. So a couple of guys were wearing those and I used to wear those. All the time for work and they were really comfortable, but they're also pretty heavy. I would not want to spend over two or three miles really hiking in those. Especially if you do get water in there, it's just a nightmare. Yeah. But yeah, I mean, the cold toes were definitely getting to me towards that end of the day. But it was. With the snow coming down and like you said in the video, it's just like, it's just so serene in the noise and all that. Just dampen. Yeah, it's pretty incredible. Yeah, so how is your that was the first time you've seen an animal get harvest? Do you have any feelings? 'cause you didn't grow up in the hunter. Right. Named Ryan did. And so you watch. I mean, yeah. Well, so really. Like, I'll just elaborate a little bit, leading up to this so that people kind of get the full picture.

"No, but yeah, this one definitely very beautiful. Got up. Three 30 a.m.. Got on the road around 4 a.m. on Thursday morning and we had about a two and a half hour drive to our first spot. It was snowing. It was coming down pretty good. I mean, from the start, we're getting snowed on. Pretty darn good and we got, we got up pretty high. And Ryan's truck, you know, not the greatest in snow or anything like that, but it was to say my tires are more bald than Hank Breaking Bad. Yeah, maybe you know, for next hunting season, just get ahead of that a little bit. I'm gonna get some chains. Yeah. I think so. When in doubt, throttle out. That's true. And I did. And get stuck. There's a lot of four low. There's a lot of turkey lows too slow. You need to be four high, second gear, spinning. Surprise the Lexus has gotten that much longevity for you over the past couple of years. It's a Toyota drive. You can just romp it Alexis. But yeah, so I started off Thursday morning. Kind of hiked maybe about a mile and a half into the first glassing spot. We followed some tracks. Didn't see anything. And there was a pretty big storm rolling through again. We had a little clear skies there for a little while. Made for pretty incredible spot. And then we wanted to get out of there because Ryan's truck could not be trusted. Talking about the fucking shit. Austin. We should have taken the Chevy cruise. The heavy Chevy. Yeah. You guys have no clue. No clue. But yeah, anyways, we drove back down. We probably spent two, three hours up there, first thing in the morning. Drove back down, got some hot food. And then went back to that state wildlife area, and that's kind of where we end up being for the next 24 hours, per se. So yeah, we saw a couple dough dose on private land crossing the road. And that's kind of where we were like, okay, we want to set up where they might be coming through. We saw a bunch of game tracks as well. And we also talked to a couple of guys who said they saw over maybe a hundred deer out of this field on public land. So which we found out, I don't think that that was actually on public land. I heard from Virginia, shout out to those dudes, but I think they're in that field that we ended up seeing a bunch of them. That's what I would say. Probably. I don't know. You never know. You never know. Yeah. But yeah, so we basically hung out that whole Thursday, very, very cold toes. We were wearing chacos. I was freezing. I was not wearing chacos. I had double layer socks. It was just, it was really wet snow too. So my boots aren't the greatest. I've learned that over the past year, probably so. Definitely need some investment in that realm. Boots are interesting though, because I feel like, well, a couple things. A,

"The mason minutes. With Kevin mason, the other night before dinner, my wife and I were clicking through the TV channels and I stumbled upon something I hadn't seen literally in decades. The old 1960s, 1970s TV show, Rowan and Martin's laugh in. If you were alive, you remember it for Goldie Hawn and Artie Johnson and Judy carne and Ruth buzzy, and of course Ron and Martin. And I hadn't seen it, hadn't thought about it in years. I remember being a little one, 7, 8, 9 years old back in the day. I thought it was cool. All the colors and how fast it moved. And so we sat here and watched it the other night. And I realized how much of a time capsule it really was, and just how bizarre it was. It was kind of a variety show that tried to be hip. And I realized for the times it was hip, but I just couldn't get into it the other night. No, I realized it's been 50 plus years since that show was on. I think we were watching an episode from the first or second season, 1968, and it didn't keep my interest. I realized 50 years is a long time, but when you look at 50 year old TV, you can sometimes see the reality of how long it's been.

"You're seeing stretches of you seeing stretches where teams are completely like, man, we don't know what to do anymore. And that tends to work in itself as favor when you got top tier scores like Tatum and Brown who are completely on a tear right now, specifically Tatum, you know? And they're having to pull things into having to play catch up. And that's the work in the south's favor. You know, just sort of beating up teams from the start and hoping that momentum just carries through while guys like Tatum and brown, especially Tatum in the second half just goes off at 35 plus, it seems like, you know, throughout these lead games. And Jimmy, I think you and I are still suffering from and some other people. Just kind of click on. But no, but certainly our last season in early season PTSD of like, watching this team for about a 135 games, be maddening infuriating, wavering effort, you know, no cohesion, nothing. I mean, it couldn't have been worse for this whole and again, you could excuse a lot of things last year. But after the first 45, 46 47 games this year, it was like, get these guys out of here. It was we call the Groundhog Day. We called it. It was so hard to do these shows 'cause you're like, here we go again, you know? It's a thing I talk about. You know, it's just like the same conversation from like 20 games to go last year all the way through the 47 game mark of this year. So again, the reason probably it's like hard to get all the way on board is it's, you know, we've been hurt. You've been hurt. You're stacking 25 games against a 135 games. Right. The hardest behind a rib cage for a reason, folks. Once you're hurt, it's hard to come back from that. You know, like, how many times are you going to say, I love you? And then not get it back before you're like, you know what? I'm not loving anything. I'm not loving anyone anymore. Yeah. I was talking about the several love again. Talking.

Because some of their favorite television shows have announced the final seasons are coming near. Stranger Things getting ready to release season four has announced a two part season four and then season 5 and that's it. Now when we see season 5, I don't know because we haven't even seen season four yet, but everybody's freaking out. It's going to be ending. Same thing with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon. They announced the next season or is it the third season? I don't know. I don't watch. Well, it's going away. That'll be it and of course, because it's so popular. Everybody's freaking out there. And then Donald Glover announces his TV show on FX, Atlanta will be ending with its fourth season. The one thing for these shows, while I love them, they're so sporadic. I never know when they're coming. I know I watched Stranger Things when it first came out. Misses maisel don't watch it, don't care and Atlanta, love the first season, not so much the second season and well. I'm not sure if I'm going to go back and watch again. A lot of people's TV viewing habits going to be changing all because their favorite shows are going away.

When Dr. Steven Notley Realized He Discovered Biblical Site Bethsaida
"Deal. My guess is doctor Steve notley, who has discovered biblical Beth saga. And again, we always have to frame this so people can understand how amazing this is. We did not know where one of the major cities mentioned in the New Testament in the gospels where Jesus is there all the time in Peter and Andrew it's a fishing village. We didn't know where it was. We know now where all these other places are, but only recently have we have you, sir, determined that this place, which we didn't look at until recently, this place is where it all happened. When did you know that you had it right? Second season, 2017, we excavated. We were digging down through the layers through crusader, Byzantine, and went down to the Roman layers, which was New Testament period. And we found a Roman bathhouse, which was people were shocked. But it actually fits the description. Josephus talks about Beth zeta being made into a Roman polis by Herod Phillip, who was the son of Harry the great. Who was evil? Yes. And his son, again, Philip, took this little village and transformed it and made it into a small city of bolus. And this is the first evidence of urbanization in the region, but this is after the apostles era. Yes. Probably 30 around 30, something like that. 30, 31, something along that AD. AD, sorry. Oh, so it's right at the time of sort of transitioning time that Jesus is there. Jesus they're right as that transformation is starting to take

"A couple of months time. Yeah. It's rough. But listen, the next season is kind of hanging in the balance. The east has gotten tougher. We talked about this before the season started. I said, I thought they'd be better on paper, but worse than the standings. And that's what's happened so far. And I'm not sure that any move in the rotation is going to change that to be honest. The east has just gotten that much better. The good news is there's a lot of teams that are packed in a very tight span. You know, two game winning streak two game losing streak could have dramatic ripples on the standing. So they've got a chance, but listen, I don't know if we want to go down this path, but the bigger concern for the Knicks I think has got to be Julius Randle who's not playing like an all star anymore, certainly not playing like whatever he was. Second team all NBA, he may be the first guy to go from second to ball NBA to not making the all star team the next season the way he's playing right now. It's been a tale of two seasons for the Knicks. They opened up the year looking great. They start 5 and one or something like that and I've leveled off considerably. All right, before we get to the awards, it is now scapegoat season in Los Angeles Howard and the vultures are circling around Frank Vogel, Lakers beat the pistons on Sunday. I have a feeling that may have saved rank Vogel's job in that game. That you lose to the pistons on the back end of what's been a really rough stretch for the Lakers, think they lost like 8 out of ten or some bad number that they've had with a relatively soft schedule to start the year. I think Vogel's job might have been in jeopardy. If they lost the pistons on Sunday, but it's still I think he's still skating on very thin ice in Los Angeles. I'll be not the first, but I will eagerly say it's not Frank Vogel's fault. You know, this is like blaming the captain of the Titanic because your ship sank when it hit an iceberg the size of Delaware. Like it just, it's just not something you can put on the coach. Last year, Frank Vogel had a team with an identity. This year, the year before that, when they won a championship, he had a team with an identity. That was a tough minded defensive team with the right players to make it work. This team, I don't know what they are. They are bad defensively. They are bad offensively. They don't have enough floor spacing, the Russell Westbrook trade is not worked up until this point. Westbrook has been a turnover machine, Anthony Davis can't make a shot. How are these the coach's fault? How are these things the coaches fault? What are you going to do? Replace Frank Vogel with who, David fizdale, Phil handy, I don't know..

Now let me remind you This was a few weeks back. Where the trade did go down with Russell Westbrook. And then the Lakers also acquired Carmelo Anthony LeBron James took to Twitter and you may not remember this tweet because he posted and then quickly deleted it and LeBron James said. Keep talking about my squad. Our age is the way he plays. He stays injured. We're past our time in this league, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Do me one favor, please. And I mean, please keep that same narrative energy. When it begins. That's all I ask. Thank you. I think he meant negative energy, but he he wrote narrative energy. Sometimes you use things as motivation. And you go. Yeah, that's not authentic. Like. Does anyone seriously believe that the Lakers don't have a shot to get to the NBA Finals this year? Especially with how I just laid it out. The Lakers just won a championship two years ago. Right? So now I'm going to say after one season later. Headed into them. It would be two seasons later. "Getting paid in a major way. I was not expecting Terry to get the Supermax contract extension, but he did. $97 million over the next four years for Terry Rozier with the Charlotte Hornets. Terry had a great run at Louisville still holds the record for most points, scored in a season by a sophomore and had a great run in Boston. It was fun watching him play not only get a lot of minutes for a good team that was in contention, but the Celtics that was a great run they had, and he was a big factor in that. He goes to Charlotte. I think in his first year little underwhelming, they paid him a lot of money and then kind of quietly in his second season with the Hornets this past year, I had a really good year averaged 20 points per game shot 45% from three and I think it didn't get as much attention because the rookie on his team Lamelo ball ended up winning. I was alluding to earlier. When i was like. You know the choice to make this exit. One is kind of unfortunate but it also seems like it was necessary because she is a pivotal character. Can you talk a little bit about that. Oil learned. yeah you know. They didn't really dig into the specifics of it too much but they used her as this. You know launching points on to create a universe because it's not only. Is this the first story that we've seen As far as the marvel cinematic universe chronological. Timeline is concern You know it's obviously will will learn soon that the attorneys have been around for a lot longer. But captain america is still the first injure and now captain carter is the first adventure. So there's that but apparently there will be something that will see as time goes on that makes captain more important to the kind of stories that they're telling in. What if because not only will she obviously come back in some capacity when you consider the end of this episode. And the fact that we've seen her you know in a shot with doctor strange and that shot with you know the presumed new avengers but they said that She will also be returning in future seasons of marvel's what if and they're already working on a second season in the show show she'll have a story that will continue much in the same way that captain america story continued once he was brought back from being frozen for all that time

He was misused. We know what my client does. Somebody is hungry for your services. I would absolutely opt out and I would absolutely bound. Yeah, He's just He's just six years in. He's never going to high minutes. Guy, though. I mean is that the peak was last year with the Clippers almost 28 minutes and look what he did. He wants sixth Man of the year. Yeah. I mean, he got minutes and he wanted award. I love him, but he's got to leave LA not happening. Yeah. Tune in next time for another edition of in Bounds or out of bounds with Tiki and Tierney. He might be a pretty good fit. How about Portland? Yeah, No, It's a great call man, because they know impactful big. The problem is he's not I mean, he's not that traditional big. He's only 67 or so so he's not. He's not going to be that. I think offensive juggernaut. You don't need him to play offense that they need. Yeah, out in the front quarter. Little Yeah. Yeah, well, you know what I mean. So You know, you know, it's funny, The more I think about this, there's and I don't know if they want to do business with each other same conference, But maybe maybe what the Blazers should be doing and this would also help. The map. The maverick How about opposing Ghous for McCollum swap? You get a sniper next to don Cheech interesting and you get something who I know He's better than he played this year. You've got to play him at the four. Not the five and let him just roll with Dan getting double teamed all night. Yeah, No, that's that's an interesting Situate that that could work. Money's gotta sell as long as as long as he's healthy laws yourself. I think I think, if your point, but here's the thing Portland's got to do something, they had to do something, so whether it's radical or not, And this is pretty radical, especially as you just mentioned the same conference in Division two, right? Um, you know that that would make a lot of sense. I just don't know if it will get done. I mean, I don't know if it's going to get done either. Yeah, I'm just throwing things out on the radio man. True. Here's the beauty Take. Here's the beauty of what we do. If it doesn't get done, doesn't matter. Just threw something out there. Did we say that? You know, doesn't mean it's not smart. Did we say that? Yes, we did If it works, and I think that the money while I know that that McCollum's 100 left, and Jose is making 20 something here, so the numbers are somewhat negligible. Like there's not a mess of disparity where you'd have to. Maybe add in a big.

"Like okay so the fact that you're even comparing yeah. Do you never compare lillard. No one does that with lillard. Yes no one says well. When lebron was in his eighth year he was actually. No one's comparing lillard. Lebron did in his ten season. Yeah so but luca is like well lebron. His third season their team went to the playoffs. Okay the second season they didn't luca did. Thank you for the comparison. Yeah or maybe maybe he did. I i don't remember new. I know they went five hundred or something and lebron second year but the point is the fact that you're even comparing him is showing that you do hold him at at least a higher level because no one's ever comparing i i guess so irritated with the whole lillard thing. Yeah because i just. I don't understand why he gets a free pass for not leading his. At least the finals. I mean i think that lillard should be a perimeter perennial all star. I think he's a great player especially for what he does in the playoffs. Now he hasn't had sustained success in the playoffs. I think notably was a series. You talked about against the nuggets in the warriors. But he's done some really great things. He should be an all star last year last playoff performer. But i think it's fine for luke to be voted in as a starter especially for an all star because the fans who vote so i mean it is what it is. We voted him in and then me. I didn't even vote. We'll maybe he gets a free pass because he's still young and so we let him grow a little bit and then maybe we hold him to and he won't be a starter who knows but then also i think that's a great point that we hold certain players to a higher standard because we know they can reach those expectations and when they don't we're disappointed because they know we can do it whereas with other guys. We don't hold them. Like no one's talking about. Zach levine or damian lillard or julius randle or any of these other guys about how they're disappointing casino about bradley's zeal. Yeah bradley beal with. It's funny with all those guys that they don't hold that standard. They always use the excuse of their team. Their teams just not good enough to do that with lebron not were dirt. Who killed dirk was so good that his teams will in fifty games but they weren't very good and so when they were in the playoffs. They beat because they weren't a very good team. Yeah he just happened to be really really good. They would torture them for it. Yeah i really like that theory. I think you're onto something. And i think it is subconscious. You're right about that. But i think that's exactly what happens Okay so we've covered a lot. We started with the chris. Tops trade stuff and then this the all star voting tweet us. Your thoughts on these trade rumors. Do you think they're legit. And then if you're going to trade kristaps trade him for i'm on twitter at underscore..
