"Best defenders ever in the NBA. He's so versatile. He's so, so smart. He's one of those guys. You see it in every sport. Guys that are ahead of the play. He is ahead of the place, never behind the play. In football, tomorrow on. He's the head of the chains. Always, he sees what's coming before it comes. He's not behind the play. He's not reactive. He's one of the best, if not the best health defender of ever seen in basketball. So he just he gets them to where they need to be. Offensively too, and sad and stuff like that, but defensively, he's like the Maestro out there. And he is, he's something special. You watch and play. He's one of those guys that you can't tell how great he is by the stats. You look at the stats, you look and go fast, whatever. 9 points, ten rebounds, 7 assists. Nah, okay. Members are okay. But you can't tell the impact that guy has on the basketball court by Scott. He's one of the few guys that you have to watch him play and you have to watch him play over and over and over again to really appreciate how great that guy is. Is it fair to say Tom tolbert that we saw kurz value when Mike Brown was filling in and the team struggled mightily against Memphis in a way that we didn't see. And it looked like the team Barkley was right and calling them out. It looked like they were playing a scrimmage. They were just doing stuff, throwing the throwing up shots out of rhythm, being out of rhythm, defensively. Is it fair to say that about that moment, Tom? Trust me, rich. I've seen him play with Steve. And they look like they're screwing around out there sometimes. I mean, I'm serious. They just sometimes they just do stuff. They're like, what are you doing? Or what was that pass? What was that? So I don't know. I mean, you know, the last time Steve was out, Mike Brown was 11 and now in the playoffs. So my Brown coach, I don't know, it's just them. I don't know what it is to be honest with you, but I would, like I said, I've seen it when Steve's there. So you'll be there coaching and they just, they just like they lose themselves somehow. It's like, what are we doing out here? What do you get? What are you guys doing? So I wouldn't blame that on coach Brown at all. I always, I'm not one that gives too much credit or too much blame to the coaches. It's a players league. And players know what to do. And players are grown-ups, and players know the right play to make, and players know how to come prepared. And a players don't come prepared and players do stupid stuff on the court and players aren't paying attention to what they should be paying attention to. Well, that's on the player to me. I mean, at this stage of your game, you don't need your coach to hold your hand for 48 minutes. You should know what the hell you're doing. You've been taught well enough. You should be able to go out there and play. And if you don't, that's on you. So I rarely give the coaches to, and like I said, spread it too much blame. Players know what the hell they're doing. Just go do it. Golden State Warriors, radio color analyst Tom tolbert here on the rich eisen show. What's Jordan Poole's future looking like do you think? Like, what is it? What does it look like with curry playing is incredibly well as he is and does and pool showing a superstar ability, I think we could say that. What do you think is future looks like right now? That's a good question, rich. I mean, he's worked so hard to get himself where he is right now. He's a legit third scoring option. And sometimes second scoring option, the way he can score. Defensively, he's got to get better. Sometimes he gets a little loose with the ball. But I think sky's the limit for this guy. I mean, I think those things are things that could be tightened up and worked on, but some of the things he has a quick explosiveness. The stroke is impressive. He just really getting out would have never guessed as a year ago. When he went down to the G league, came back up, I thought, yeah, maybe the warriors get a rotational piece out of this. He's much more than a rotational piece. I mean, he is a key cog in this team's wheel right now. So I'll credit to this guy because I'll be honest, he was kind of they kind of teetering on this guy going to be in the league or not. He could go either way. It probably stick, but what kind of rotate it will he get consistent time? And now look at him. He's in the finals and he's a big part of this team. It didn't get he didn't get there without work though. It's pretty impressive stuff. So he's got a long-term future there, do you think? I mean, I think so. I mean, I think well, they're going to have to figure some stuff out because I think Wiggins is up after next year. And I think they're really want to keep him, but then you got Jordan Paul, who's up and I think he can sign an extension this summer or wait until after the following year where he'd be as restricted free agent if I'm not mistaken, which I very well am. I don't, I don't know what they're going to do. I'll be honest, I mean, Joey, one thing about Joe lacob and Peter guber is if you can help him win and they'll pay for you. I've been there so far for the luxury tags. I mean, it's insane. And people, people were complaining this year about, hey, we got roster squad open. Maybe we should go get a center. It's like, well, what are you talking about? Like this guy, this guy will spend money. He will. I think he's like 70 million over the luxury tax or something ridiculous like that, but that's the one thing I love about him. I hate owners. I hate owners. The most sports fan. I want my owner to be a sports fan. All my owner to want to win a championship. I don't want my owner to be a penny pitcher. I don't want my owner to think, you know, I don't want to lose too much money this year. I mean, I would think if you own a team, you've already made your money elsewhere. You're going to make more money. There's no doubt about it. But it's okay to lose a little bit here and there. You're trying to win a championship. You're a fan of the team. Too many owners aren't fans of the sport, fans of the team. And they run it like a business. And it just drives me nuts. I feel like it runs a Lake of business, but first and foremost he's a fan and he wants to see this team win. And Peter guber, too. They want to see the team win. And I really appreciate that. And You know, then it was hot yesterday, so So we've got every external factor in the world of that is affecting our ability to maintain intensity and play the way we need to play in practice, right? We need to practice to improve. We got the scoreboard effects us who were playing effects us. The heat affects us, the media and what you guys write every day affects us, so you know. To me. We've got to prove that we can play and maintained intensity for 60 minutes in the game, execute, do our job play hard Finish games, finished plays. Do things that we were supposed to do it. Bread-and-butter let's say the cutoff opened raised and you ended up calling in the big blind. What does the flop look like for you. Well you're out of position against the pre flop razor so he has a stronger range and the positional advantage against you. It's going to be very hard to profit in this hand and the more non bread and butter spots that you put yourself in the harder poker is on you so from now on before you make that pre flop call from out of position realize that you're voluntarily giving your opponent bread and butter. Use this idea to help you start restricting. You're out of position

These guys weren't making it through the claim period when teams were Asking about certain player so You know. I think though adam before we took the calls we are committed to taking four tight ends. I don't think it was a situation. Where we he thought. Well they want these guys. "I'm a huge fan of processes and systems right. I mean in these podcasts. I often give you three steps. Five seven steps. These are the things you need to do blah blah blah. All the jazz right well. When it comes to going fishing on anonymous poker site sites. I have a three step process. Step one is fine. The fish step to isolate the fish. Step three exploit the fish. I'm going to dive into each of those right now. For you step one was to find the fish and for those of you might not know let me give you a definition for the word fish or for the player type fish right. This is a weak level. One player that means they mostly only think about their cards in the board. They're often recreational and they play just way too many hands. In general most of the time fish are passive. But some fish are hyper aggressive and we might call those maniacs or dunks now what are the pre flop actions that indicate a fish now. These are prevalent on anonymous sites. But they're actually across. The board tournaments sitting goes live poker anonymous sites No limit limit poker. They're everywhere right. Listen to these right here. This whole of these will indicate a fish. And if you listen to this podcast. Everything i'm about to tell you is often what i tell you not to do. Right in these various strategy podcasts. So the first one the thing that indicates a fish is any limping at all. The next one is calling to frequently. If you look at a player and you say to yourself oh this guy is always calling. Yeah he's a fish right. Maybe you see these players doing a lot of over calling. That means they call after someone else calls or over limping. Someone else limps. I in vail limp two players limp there the third lemper another pre flop action that indicates a fish is raising and then calling every three bet so basically they just can't find a fold after putting chips in the pot. Another fishy play defending the blinds with any two cards or because it suited or they just can't even fold the jack seven off suit because they put in the big blind already. They're not gonna let you take it from them. Lastly if you're on an online site and you have access to a hud v pip might be greater than twenty five percent. You'll also see a huge gap between v. pippen pfr and those maniacs. Those dunks hyper aggressive fish. They're gonna have a pfr of greater than twenty five percent. Now let me ask you a question. What are the post flop indications of a fish. I have my ideas and let me give. There's four of them for you right now. Number one is that they're calling station. They just overpay with any pair and any draw number two. They fold way too easily on the flop. Turn and that's awesome right because they're just super honest on one of those streets and because they play too many hands remember that veep pip is greater than twenty five percent and they defend away too often they defend it's on pre flop and so they they help you build a nice pot but they give up on the flop return super easily. Yeah that's a player to target one hundred percent right. You're printing money when you see flops against them.

Playing Hands Against the Fish
"So if you sit down at any table let me ask you a question real quick. Who is the most likely person that you're going to earn chips from. Yeah the weakest one at the table right. Oftentimes the fish the to the overly loose passive limpkey calling station kind of players that just cannot fold pre flop nor post flop even if their life depended on it right. They got third pair. It's a tournament. Twenty big blinds. You bet flop turn and river. They're just going to call you all the way because hey you could have east king and my pocket pair of aids are going to win here right. Those are the kinds of players that you are targeting. But here's the thing. Do you truly target them. Do you live for playing hands against the fish. I know for the longest time For the longest time. I did not do that. So here's what i want you to do. The next time you sit down at a table live or online if it's online play just one table at least for the first thirty minutes right. Now look around the table and figure out what types of players you're up against. Hopefully you've got to three or even more fish at your table and fisher. Just the weak ones. Like i said that you target for value. Maybe it's easy to get them to fold. But basically you know how to play and exploit these players very well because maybe they're not thinking maybe they only care about their cards and the board right so your goal is to first step one. Find the fish at the table and write down their names. You know bob seven to three susan. Eight nine maybe. Those are the two fish zabel. Your goal is to play in that thirty minutes of that one table or your entire session. However you want. Your goal is to play as many times against those fish as possible. And when i say play as many times against them basic i mean get to the flop against the fish. Because that's where you're exploiting is gonna come from. That's where you're going to be able to get them to fold their hands sometime. Post flop right or get the most value out of them when you hit a strong hand so write down. All the players names a piece of paper every time you see the flop remember. Your goal is to get into. Play hands. Against bob and susan right. Well every time you play against a hand a hand against bob put a tick mark next to his name. Susan put a tick mark tick mark next to her name. By the end of your session your goal is to have more tick marks against those two players than all of the other ones combined. Now you might be saying sky. There's a problem here. I can't control what hands. I'm dell or whom i opponents are going to be an absolutely. You're right about that but if you have the goal of targeting these fish you're gonna open raise with any playable hand when they are in the blinds with the goal of everybody folding. You get them heads up against you when they come in for the raise if they have a week wide range. You're going to be three betting them with the hope of everyone else folding and you get that fish heads up to yourself when they limp into the pot you get your opportunity now to make it big five. Six seven big blinds. I so raise. Hopefully everyone else folds. And then bob or susan. The fish plays a hand against you. The goal is to target these fish. Whatever hands at uc whatever players you see against. Maybe you end up seeing seven against these two players but fifteen against everyone else. Well that's just the way the cards played. Maybe the eggs. They exited the handy. You've got dealt a ton of aces. Kings queens ace king. And so you were just playing your normal game right and you try to target them. But maybe didn't have many opportunities. But i guarantee if you play this kind of session often you are gonna find that. You're targeting your fish targeting choices are going to win out and you will begin playing more hands against the fish than you do against the other players and that just helps you out. It's going to help your win rate. It's going to help your enjoyment when you're constantly playing against the fish. You know that your skills outstrip. There's and in the end or in the long run. I should say their money will eventually make it to your

Chicago Blackhawks Hire Outside Firm to Investigate Allegations
"Blackhawks have hired a former federal prosecutor to perform what they're calling an independent review of the 2010 sexual assault allegations that are the basis of a former players lawsuit against the team. CEO Danny words sent an internal memo to employees confirming the move. Former video coach Bradley Aldrich is alleged to have sexually assaulted at least two players and reports say that the top levels of the organization were made aware of the allegations but did not go to the police or act on the information. Aldrich was convicted of sexual assault, sexually assaulting a high school hockey player in 2013 in Michigan after leaving the team and was required to register as a sex Defender When the lawsuit was first filed in Cook County Circuit Court May 7th the team said the former players allegations quote lack merit. It's not your prototypical idea of a luxury pick because I feel like we often attached that label to running backs and receivers and positions that are a little bit more sexy. But I don't know. I feel like it's a luxury pick when the Bills are drafting a guy in the third round where you've got your left tackle of the future. You just signed Darryl Williams to a three year extension. Spencer Brown is probably not a guy that other you know, barring injury or something drastic happening with one of those two tackles in the next couple of years. I feel like it's a luxury pick in that kind of just drafting a guy that they didn't mean They needed a depth tackle. I just don't know they needed to do it in the third round, you know, I mean, I understand. I understand. It goes back to the conversation we had last night, Which is? I just don't know, though. What you have you You're gonna want a couple backup tackles and right now, Ryan Bates is your only true backup tackle. If you want to count Bobby hard, I mean, but We all know that people said he's really struggled the numbers. You know what all that meant? No right now. He is, though, so that's fine. And he's probably had on the depth chart of Spencer Brown at this moment, So I totally understand that. I think you know, though, that obviously this isn't just a move about You know this season? You know what I did this morning, guys. I actually went online and I researched of the 253 players drafted in last year's NFL draft. Like how many? Each one Like I looked at the list of like games played basically. Um, of the 253 players in last year's draft over 80 of them didn't even play and half their team's games. You know, I mean, like it's hard to play in the NFL. It's hard to make a roster, especially when you're Especially when you're the buffalo bills and where they are. So while I understand what you're saying, e think we just have to shift our mode, too? Let's pretend that's not even these guys don't even exist in 2021. I know it's hard to do like, what does this do for the roster going forward? And you know, Ryan Bates at the end of this year is gonna be restricted free agent I believe on. Drew knows what you know Darryl Williams contractors, But you do need that depth. There's no doubt I just find it hard. Where where you gonna find guys right now? At this point, the draft who's left on the board? That you might not. That might not be a luxury. Even if it's a place like secondary, right? There is no corner right now. None of the bills could draft That I would tell you is beating Dane Jackson out or Levi Wallace out for the starting job. All right. And so finally they can compete. They eat. I just don't know it. I just don't think that they're gonna do it right. And so, finally, I did want to ask you about Aaron Rodgers and also to Shawn Watson at this point, because I think the Texans taking Davis Mills yesterday. Many seem to believe that that is a sign that the Texans know now that they have to have a plan B or they have to start to plan for the future without to Shawn Watson, a quarterback. That was the holdup before of legal stuff started, like teams were calling Houston. It's just they weren't picking up the phone s O. Now, my wonder is sell that you've got Aaron Rodgers asking for trade. You've got an uncertain future with Shawn Watson. And I just don't know how many teams Yeah, we're running out of revelations. We're running out of destiny, but they're also such quality quarterbacks. Watson. There's another layer to it. Obviously. But they're so good that it's like, I don't know who how many teams I should feel comfortable ruling out. I don't know, man. I don't know where this is going. It's so complicated because of both him wanting to get out in the legal situation that's happening. Right. So you have two different kinds of situations, all playing out at the same time, But it all adds up to one, which is They're clearly planning for two shown Watson not to be available at least early on in the season. If not longer, And maybe long term, I think right now, you know they they're probably in the motive. He's not our quarterback anymore. For whatever reason, that is, whichever one of those things that is whether that's legal, NFL him wanting out. I don't know. And then the Aaron Rodgers thing I don't know every time every this guy it's just drama. Whatever happens with this guy everywhere is very dry The Packers I don't just don't understand how they got to this point with this guy in the organization, But you know, we'll see how it plays out. I mean, ultimately, it seems like Seems like Rogers just does a lot of saber rattling and then at the end of the day, they wind up playing, and then he does a lot more saber rattling that he plays And who knows if that's gonna happen, So, yeah, it's gonna be really interesting to see how this plays out over the next several months. I'll say this at least. We had a lot of talk about the John Watson possibly being traded for the first yume couple months of the off season. The draft is over. He's not getting traded. Now. I mean, if he does for next year, so I don't know what team is going to take him out unless they're incredibly comfortable with what's happening with the legal stuff. I think it's probably a safer bet that Shawn Watson doesn't play it all this year. And that this conversation we're having about where he plays probably happens around that made maybe discussions pick up around the trade deadline when when things may become clearer and his legal situation, but yeah, like I don't know Sail.
