The songs that have really started to define my season is getting out a little bit more feeling a little bit safer to be out in the world those two songs. I'm hearing the most and hearing the most excitement. Abou- have actually been out since october their essence by whiz kid featuring thames who is A lot of folks newt know whiz kid as sort of afropop star from nigeria. Thames is the burgeoning star from nigeria. As well other song is quicksand by marais who is from north carolina stern driving around more hearing them on the radio and seeing debates on twitter about dj's not playing essence at parties as much as they should and both of them are really capturing sort of the levity that comeback for some people you know. Yeah i saw a dj saying that in three months people were going to be saying like can you please stop playing essence. Because he's playing it so much so it's definitely it's definitely out there. I mean what is it about those those two songs for your well with essence i think it s body right like it's laid back it has afro-caribbean feel to it feels very summary intil. Quicksand is a little bit more uptempo. It's fun but it has these guitars. And the first pick of the draft is going to be the the Detroit Pistons. And you could almost guarantee they're going to take Kate Cunningham, who should be the number one pick in this draft. He should be. He is the greatest natural scorer. And I think perfectly suited for the NBA game because of his length and because of his array of moves that I think that it's obvious, Kate Cutting Ham is going to be a Detroit piston. And there's not going to be much debate over it. Although the top of the draft is very good, and this is one of the deeper drafts in recent years, Jason Tweets a D a. Would you think about that Fade for Cade? Jason. I think it worked, and I think it's going to pay dividends because Kate Cunningham's a very, very good player. In terms of winners as I had mentioned. But ultimately the Houston Rockets had a disastrous cease and they were 17 and 55. They were the worst record of the NBA. They did not end up winning the number one pick of the draft. They end up sliding to number two. But I will say I do think that the Rockets end up being winners here. Because the rockets were competitors. Competitors contenders for a long, long time, couldn't get over the hump but were contenders then took one step back this year, and it was a huge step back. And end up landing the number two pick of the draft. So if you're going to be bad, you better have something to show for it. And in this draft, which has really good players, the top of the draft being number two is a good thing is a very good position to be in. Winners as I mentioned, Orlando has two picks in the top eight. They get their number five pick their own pick and then the pick to from the Bulls from the trade deadline deal. So that's a big deal for Orlando. Two picks of the top eight In terms of losers and Toronto by the way, Big winner moving up from number seven to number four. Think in terms of losers of this lottery. To me. The biggest loser is Oklahoma City. Because the thunder had a chance to collect multiple Top five picks if the Ping Pong balls fell their way, including the Houston Ping Pong balls, and it didn't So okay. See, which is stacked all of these draft picks after trading away all of their stars flipping all of their assets looking for the next trade partner and stacking first rounder after first rounder Okay, see end up having The sixth pick overall this year. And the 16th pick overall in the camber for Al Horford deal to the Celtics. But in terms of all of the draft collateral and trying to find that next superstar Number six and 16. Alright, necessarily going to be the places that you can slam dunk. Find that So I think if there's any loser out of this, it was okay. See who could have had a huge hall last night. The Ping Pong balls didn't fall their way more as winners and losers from last night's lottery in your mind? Well, I think the Orlando Magic still have to be considered a winner. Just from the standpoint of having those kind of picks up top, Remember? Obviously, this was a team with playoff aspirations heading into this season. They end up obviously trading value check, and now they end up in a spot where what is it? They have two of the top seven picks. I believe if I read that correctly, the top eight top five and eight. Either way, I know that they aren't in the top four in that spot. But I still think coming from where they came from. For a year of playoff expectations to getting two picks in the top eight, I think is an enormous success. An enormous win for them. Obviously, I a loss if you're going to call that Probably Golden State, although they do have the two picks just the idea that as you continue, and last year, adding James Wiseman to build to not, and I know that they ended up playing that playing games. You can't necessarily assume that but even with the Minnesota selection, do not get in the you know that top two range there to find another foundation piece too quickly accelerate this thing. Behind Steph Curry and a returning Klay Thompson, I think would find themselves a bit in the loser range for me, okay? Matthew Stafford is the most intriguing guy to me because we've seen with John McBain has been able to do with quarterbacks we've seen with that offense is done with in Matlin, Florida running it in Green Bay. Kyle Shanahan's running running that same offense in San Francisco, and they're obviously running it there with the L. A Rams. I know the division is tough, but it's just it's gonna be very, very interesting to see You take the skill set of what Matthew Stafford has, and then you plug it into that system that Sean McVeigh has also, by the way, you have the number one defense in football like that's the one that I think could really just shocked people. This is my favorite sunday of the year and in part because by the time we get to the super bowl we've talked about same matchups over and over and it's usually like. How many times can we say what you guys rush brady with four. You know before and of course always been in the super bowl the last decade or so. That's a phrase. I've said a lot inventive. You say that. I was going to say you're the person i i would really make that a me. I mean it's true but it's also more fun when you get to talk about other things and this particular set of games. It's really the best possible combination of teams in my opinion. There's a reason why the lions in vegas are very close because it actually looks like a pretty well matched pair of games. I wanna start with buccaneers packers. Meena because this was not a close game when these two teams played back. If in the eyes of tampa bay be the formula for beating green bay which is if you can stop the running game and keep the packers from executing their play action passing attack which flows from that and get them into third down and get pressure on rogers and obvious passing situations. That's your best chance of beating now. All those things i just said barry. Few teams in the nfl been able to do that but tampa was able to do that the last time. "Was the third time That they played them. But this is what makes it so hard in the NFL. This is an aside to the point about Russell Wilson to play a team three times. Because eventually you they know your tendencies. You can only gain plan so much. And they it's the best team. Best game plan wins. And it felt like that was the case over the weekend as the Rams found a way even with John Walford, starting and then getting hurt. With the Stinger. It looked really bad. At first I thought it was a concussion. Then, maybe in a naked issue turned out to be a stinger. And then Jared Goff comes back in. He's over four with zero yards. You know to start and then ultimately, he stabilized. Mostly it was because of their run game. But this is why it gets really difficult to play a team three times in a season because you familiarity tends to benefit the team. That game plan's the best. Now, you would think I think we have Beatty back. You would think that a team with a Russell Wilson and quarterback would have the advantage. But that clearly wasn't the case in this wild card rematch of a divisional serious, which was an interesting one to break down. Russell Wilson didn't play well that quite frankly, Russell Wilson hasn't played very well this season despite the incredible starting September where he had 14 touchdowns in one pick hard to say that man he's got 40 touchdowns, only Carrier B T O care, its completion percentage.
