Drake Rents Out Dodger Stadium for a Private Dinner Date

"Was spotted on a date in an empty Dodger stadium. Very player. Oh, my gosh. Like this guy can have a chick fil a open on Sunday. Seriously, the entire stadium is closed, and he and his date are the only ones on the field Crazy in the field of Dodger Stadium in front of the Dodgers dugout him his day and one server and the date though big. This is huge news is Amar E Bay. Please. Mom, Joanna Helberg. She He is a basketball player at Sierra Canyon, where LeBron James son also plays and we saw all those games that Drake and like Michael B. Jordan, we're going to when they were hanging up. She's fine. Big like she is so beautiful curve She got, like her great curb. Always drink. No, no, I said, I said hurt. She's absolutely beautiful. And obviously when the photos first came out when Drake was at Sierra Canyon there We're sitting right next to each other, and people couldn't stop talking about how beautiful she was. But it looks like Drake shot his shot and he got the date and he shut down a whole stadium for her. Did they get the video? The pictures? Okay. So a helicopter guy Chris Christie flew over from ABC took the photo and then post it up on his Twitter and was like Just flew over Dodger Stadium cut two people having a cozy dinner and then it turned out to be Drake.

How to Find the Right Guest for Your Podcast With Neal Schaffer

"You're strategically thinking about what guests bring on for you. Where do you search for these people. Where do you find them. And how do you go about like maybe reaching out to them. Yeah you know right now In all honesty the the school of influence which is the second podcast of launched. We're really just going through people that we know And when i say people we know people personally no or we're we've heard their podcast. We've read their book We've somehow know them know about them right. Just just these natural people that are sort of leaders in the industry so if we know them directly obviously we can reach out. If we don't know them it gets a little bit tricky. And that's where you know. I think using the power of lincoln and seen who might be able to introduce you to that person is one thing there's obviously contact forms and believe it or not. You know people. They may not themselves read those inputs in the contact forms but they do have people reading. And i think dot swear it it should be compelling but here's where my sales background comes in because you're not going to convert everybody and that's fine. It's a percentage so if you're trying to get one or two people you gotta reach up to ten or twenty and that's just the nature of the game but knowing that with every one or to get going forward it gets easier and affect people reject me and i'm thinking oh i'm gonna keep you know when i asked why we're interested they'd say. Oh just the. Timing's upset okay. I'm gonna a few months or nominee contact you again right. So it's it's done. Sales salesman saleswoman sales personal mentality. That i think really helps. And it's okay to get rejected. But i believe that if you have a specific mission and you're very clear about that mission in your outreach right. In addition to the other people that you've had on to show your credibility that's going to be really really important to see if they are philosophically aligned with your mission and that mission. You're not only for the filtering of people that come on your podcast. It's also what are you gonna talk. It's also during the interview. Always thinking back of my head. That i that i wrote that mission statement for is this episode fulfilling the

Whats So Gratifying About Gossip?

"So let's talk about the upsides and downsides of gossip. I have read that. There is psychological research arguing. That gossip is really an elemental of humanity. Can you tell us about that. Strong arguments i think. Come from people who are evolutionary psychologists and the functional purpose of gossip ease. Scientists would argue. Is that. it's the communication of very important information for example. If you are gossiping about people that are at your office. You know who's really enemies with whom and what they said. That's inside information. That could be helpful. You know who to avoid you know who to ally yourself with because we are social species. Gossip is a way that we can get and give valuable information at relatively low cost. What sort of information is us. Weekly delivering to you. Because it's not information about people you know or that you'll interact with. I think this question is good in that. If i'm not getting information about anybody might direct social network. I'm getting information about you. Know bruce springsteen how's is that helpful to me. He might run into some time because he's another jersey guy lesser run into respraying stein. I don't think i will. So the question is what function could gossip have. It could be that we have this instinct gossip that is being played out in the form of reading us weekly but actually that's not good for us. It's just that we have this evolutionary conserved tennessee. You know much like craving for fat salt and sugar had its origins kind of getting us into a lot of trouble right now. So you don't have to actually have a function which is contemporary for reading. These gossip rags. But you're making an argument against your consumption of gossip. Well okay but here's an argument for it and this plausible. This was made by roy. Meister in kathleen vossen their collaborators and they argued. That gossip is a form of cultural. Learning where these anecdotes say. You read a story about jaylo. Reuniting with ben affleck. And you get this little snippet of what people are saying about it and what they've said that in this story of these two people that you will probably not meet. You are getting social rules in narrative

So i i didn't necessarily mean that the story is going to be about the community and the people are in the community. Which by the way if anybody who's listening the is fucking epic and it's just a bunch of generous amazing human beings who are hilarious and cool and from all walks of life but had that common thread it's fucking incredible so sign up The i didn't mean that it was going to be about this. People i meant they do per per se. If i meant it was going to be about how those people aired enough to enact with and give back to somebody who's effecting change in our lives which you are by sharing and put an stuff out there man. And so and i know that to be a real thing that happens and i think that's what i meant. The story is going to be not you. Nail it in poker. But you're gonna find out that like the journey happens differently. The end goal happens differently than how you expected and it was like it was watching you. People show showing up. And i was listening to talk about like early on. This person should have in this person. Whatever and like the yeah. The world needs more of that. I feel isolated and not connected to a lot of two other people who are sharing that through your podcast. I found people who also share that. And what i fucking love is that we're all different from different walks of life but had a few things in common. You know like for years. As an i think i put this in an email on those time back. They was talking about the bribes. And all of that right and like like with the used to think that my tribe was actors at lake so actors were a tribe Dead wrong about that. My tribe isn't actors tribes people like this and i'm an actor in that community. So what like. Take the digi at community without a show. I would get to star in it. Because the only actor vanessa tribes originally supposed to work right and community supposed to work because a few people specialized not not a profession. Son's yeah and so we can all these walks electric values consistent. And we've found each other through you know geography and timezones invocations in different stages of her life. And all of that. And that's just this is positive jenner's not needful thing it's give a shit and being walked over i i would. I would bet that the thing that you give yourself.

Vaccines with Heather Simpson

"Today we're talking about vaccines well. More specifically about the toll. The anti vaccine movement has taken on our public health. Let's start with some basics x one of the most successful public health interventions in human history. They've saved millions if not billions of lives. They protected generations of children in the us and around the world from deadly diseases and right now the surest path out of the covid nineteen pandemic is to vaccinate as many people in as many places as possible but that of course requires wide scale public trust and participation two things that the anti vaccine movement has been working really hard to undermine vaccine movement has been growing in darkness for decades and now they've captured the spotlight as an is fear uncertainty to so doubt and spread lies about the coupe nineteen vaccines their efforts have been amplified by public figures who used their platforms to elevate debunked conspiracy theories and all of this is made much much worse by lack of accountability from social media and technology platforms themselves. The nfl move hurting our ability to recover from this pandemic and it could affect which vaccines this generation of kids received well beyond covid nineteen. So what can we do. How do we fight. The powerful tide of disinformation that began long before this pandemic and has unfortunately gained momentum during it. How do we overcome mistrust around vaccines and help more. People get the facts that they need to make the right decisions for themselves and their families while to answer this questions. I'm talking with two people who are confronting these challenges head on later. We'll hear from my friend. Dr peter hotels vaccine researcher and advocate and co director of the center for vaccine development at texas children's hospital. But i i'm talking with heather. Simpson a mom who fell down the rabbit hole and then pulled herself back up. Heather is an activist a freelance writer and a mom to three year. Old daughter hers is a story of how effectively the anti vaccine movement entraps people and a reminder that it's possible if not always easy to change minds. I started our conversation by asking heather how she went from someone who had always gotten vaccinated then anti-tax social media influence my mom vaccinated all of ice. It wasn't until i was eighteen. I had the choice to get my meningitis shot. And i hate needles so on. That alone chose not to get it going in college which was stupid. I did get the tea dot in two thousand fifteen. I got the flu shot school. It wasn't until me and my husband really started trying to have our daughter that we were like Should we do the schedule. I mean we haven't given much thought. And a documentary series popped up on facebook as an ad and it was nine hours a just pure propaganda. It was doctor after doctor blaming everything under the sun on vaccines so by the time. You're done watching all nine hours of terror. You're not gonna wanna inject your kid. I mean i was terrified. I was thinking if we inject charlotte. She will die in her sleep that night. The strength of the fear that i had was so so strong i was ashamed a little bit a little bit embarrassed about it because my mom groups were so pro vaccine so it didn't really tell anybody but when she was about eighteen months old i decided to start talking about it casually on the internet on facebook and it just took off and i didn't realize that their birth thousands and thousands of antibodies mom's on facebook that had all found each other and that there's this huge huge growing community and they just accepted me as one of them and it just took off from there.

"I can't give you a bible verse for this. Texting wasn't a thing in the bible. But some of you. If there's an emotional conflict going on relationship the last thing you should do is send a text or an email out. Here's why because there's zero emotion on that email and text and guess what the the receiver gets to fill in the emotion themselves and your receiver. If they're especially in this place where they feel. This thing is a conflict they will fill it in something negative they will fill it in with an energy that is bad that is worse than what it really is. So those things. Those kind of conversations need to happen in person at at like worse like should be like a facetime where somebody can hear the tone of your voice and see the expressions on your face but don't text message somebody or or give them a direct message that that's a conflict. Is that make sense to you. Guys i mean. Sometimes i we come in here for great spiritual truths and sometimes we just need to look at this practically but god wants us winning in our relationships and it's time that we stopped sabotaging the very thing that god wants us to have victory. He wants you to victory and your relation just and he's giving you a spirit to live inside of you to help you. Would you stand your feet. We're going to let our words be used right now to glorify god in heaven. I do almost every day in the summer and i started today to to drive out in the forest and only be there enjoy so my neighbors a shield Is out of playing soccer football for a little while. But as soon aside i go to bed. They run up run into their home and then they jump in the in. The floor in the wars is like the devil. No exacly what What i'm doing. And then just when i go to bed a need to lay down on later when my brain is tired and just when i am going to photo sleep. They start to jump in the floor. I have had it before. I know that that the devil do this things and It's not easy to hold the pace. But i can't walk up to my neighbor. Tell them to be quite so. "Can you pay nice script or can you create them nice in a blog post or can you create we'll series of white papers coming up and we need looking for good wordsmith. That's fine. that's why you can end to yourself into it and you can say okay. Yeah that sign on my. We'll do it for you and that's okay understand. What did the work is if are often looking for someone to work closely with the sales team may be what actually have to go with them in go with the sales team and we go to conferences and things. If you're interested in that do it if you think that's not your thing. Don't yeah so we've spoken about kind of the skills that are really in demand and the transferable skills for someone listening to this maybe thinking well this just sounds a lot like pr as many people were put it go into the dark side of journalism. How would you respond. I didn't think it's pr at toll. I mean piazza. Different interactive in itself Content marketing is not. Prp izapa auto. It you you but we in my experience usually hide agency the two other people to do the payoff. I've actually had to brief pr agencies. This is a brand wants to say. This is what the brand does not want to say. Because most brands the ethical most brands have a good business people and good people behind it. And at the specific about what they want to be. Communicated what they don't want to come across as so burn briefing. Pr agencies on presley's usually. I've them and i know what the brand wants. And i said to the pr person under your thing and distributed but but be very careful that we stayed brand does not come across as that only comes across as abc. Because that's what i've been told to do. Content marketing is a much more broader than just. Pr contacting covers. Co is basically content creation using creativity to engage audiences. It's not about dopp journalism. It's not some people call. It brand journalism is a branch is basically. Oh yes positives about the ban brand can do no wrong. And that's not right in my. That's not what content marketing is. How typically does the commission come about or a piece of project before. Coordinate the market. You'd hire you just for you as you regular job you go onto or the job..

"Now what are the distinctive benefits of your products? So I think you know the one of the the co assets and the core value creation that value proposition. If you like that we that we offer our customers is released. R d o quality. So those when we were with enhanced but also now that we are with with demand that is is part of our DNA. It's it's one of the the core Technologies so long so really, you know with a premium positioning in the marketplace, you know, we do believe that we we deserve a superior audio quality boats when it comes to you know being hurt but also, you know when you want to call and and and and you listen to two other people talking to you Maybe you can make the case for your products. In other words here. We are now in a new remote environment. Maybe we're going to have a hybrid kind of environment. Why is he posts a great choice this new type of challenge. It it all it all boils down to the fact that we do have products and solutions that fits the different the different use cases. In other words. We have a very big house in in our portfolio of products. So we have products ranging from you know, wired USB headsets to wireless Solutions and also speaker phones to I used full, you know for conducting for conducting meetings. So whatever you are in the office very much tight to your desk or if you are more of a let's say a mobile worker which which travels and so on. We do have a solution that fits all of these use cases and those customs So what's extent on that? Let's take a little bit closer. Look at your products. What are the benefits of e pose as opposed to maybe some of the other available Solutions? Well, I think first of all, I think we we do stand out in some KO areas, you know, so I I touch upon the the audio quality of our products. I really think that is a that is a major differentiator from from from Evil side. We do believe that we have a leadership in in in audio quality. Another thing which is also important that the products that we did live up, you know, it's it's really targeted to be a work tool for people in an Enterprise or small and medium business and I'm still quality that you ability of our products..

"I want to help people experienced safety when they're actually truly safe right like if we're not safe. Let's let's make it faith. I you know like if you're gonna get hit by a car let's move out of the way the car i rate But but then really open this up to say so. What do i need what is going on. What is keeping me stuck. What is god saying to me. How can i receive the love that people are offering me. How can i give myself the love that i'm worthy of receiving and so all of these things happen when we're in our window of tolerance win were integrated because they're one in the same. Our window of tolerance means our brain is integrated and so you know. I think unfortunately we live in a time. Where i think culturally. There's been sort of this like you shouldn't want to be safe like. Who are you to think that you deserve safety. And i think we we get this confused with comfort and there you know. I think there's a time and a place to feel comfortable but safeties even on more foundational than comfort safety. I really believe like god desires for us to feel safe in our bodies and safe in our connections and safe with him so that we can then sort of have the freedom to use that as our like safe base so then we can go out and be courageous because we know we have a safe place to come back to you. We go do scary. Thanks if no place is safe like what kind of life is that. But if you still hate yourself or if you still think god hates you and you're still trying to punish yourself then you won't feed yourself So that's another major hurdle absolutely and that's where sometimes we really need other people with us in the process. I say like we can't give ourselves what we haven't sort of received so like because you know there's that whole added i don't there's like a whole thing around that but essentially like like let's say we grew up in a home where it was modeled to us that our needs didn't matter like it. Maybe it wasn't even like it wouldn't maybe class lee. No one would have said you experienced trauma but but what you experienced was you are not allowed to pay attention to yourself because that's selfish and that's bad the internal narrative that you're carrying is that it's selfish and bad to listen to your body to listen to your emotions to take care of yourself and so that's where it can be really helpful to get connected with like a therapist who or like a community. That feels really safe or even one or two other people that you can be they can begin to model like you're you are worthy.

"With twin don't do that. All right. So there there's that. Now, do we have time for another shore? This is advice needed and nice. Emails knows was directed to me. Directly to me. But I think I need. Everybody to weigh in on a Bill good friend of mine once told you that you gave him some really good life advice. I have no idea. What that was says. So what for what it's worth? I thought I'd ask you for the same favor. I rent a house with two other people I pay four hundred bucks a month. It's great deal for a house. Problem is my roommates are the worst. The one always asked me for rides favors never prepares for anything and is always relying on me to sort of bail him out. So I would I would think my son is living with. The other one the other roommate is always going on and on about how I make Jesus cry because of my bad choices. Specially my beer consumption. It's getting to be too much. Should I find my own place? My rent would skyrocket. And I would barely be able to afford to eat what with the cost of everything we should. I just suck it up and continue paying reasonable rent while suffering with these two boobs. Oh and says morons allowing me to live more unrestricted and buy more beer. So I mean, did you know, they were like this before you, again, doesn't matter doesn't matter there, there doesn't matter. So I guess I would only say to the sky. I would say if you if you haven't talked to them, then you just serve what you get. Now. If you sit down with each one of them individually and talk to them and say, this is what I'm perceiving. And I can't I can't do. I can't live with this. I don't like it. Can you can you help me out here and change your behavior? Yeah. You can't hope behavior onto somebody. Now, if you've done that, and they still do the same thing. I don't know what's to prevent you from. Well. I don't know who controls who controls the house. Yeah. Who's somebody ought to be in charge of being able to say? You are out. And I'm getting another room. My name's on the lease. You're out. Yeah. So that's the only other options grading up or you're out. And yeah, I don't I don't think you should leave the house. It's way too expensive to try and get out there mean unless you know, some other unless you have an option. Yeah. Well, I haven't got these other friends that I get along better. And yeah, but I no one wants that your home should be a sanctuary for you. It shouldn't be something that you're like, oh, I gotta go home. I want him enough to deal with my roommate should be a place that you dread going to you ought to be able to say, you know, the one who saying you're making the baby Jesus cry by drinking, beer and stuff. All right. I understand your feelings on this. I respect your right to not do the things. Sure. So just stop with telling me how to live stop. I like you other than that. But stop that. And then the other one the other one sounds like a mutual probably never. Yeah. All right. Oh interest. If you have an interesting Email to send us she can do that at radio from hell annex ninety six dot com..
