"Bloomberg's Hannah George Good morning Thank you The vaccine made by China's sinovac has been found to give no shield for the omicron variant Bloomberg's young Yang tells us more Sinovac's vaccine does not provide sufficient antibodies to neutralize the amaron variant That's according to a team of researchers at the university of Hong Kong among a group of 25 people fully vaccinated with sign of wax shot none showed sufficient antibodies against a comparison among another group of 25 people fully vaccinated with Pfizer BioNTech vaccine 5 had a neutralizing ability against a new variant The findings are a blow to those who have received a sign of X shots in Hong Kong Bloomberg daybreak Europe Now in Europe Italy has tightened restrictions for travelers from other European Union countries just ahead of the Christmas travel season Even vaccinated visitors must now show proof of a negative test and the non vaccinated must self isolate for 5 days on arrival The UK meanwhile has removed all 11 countries from its red list given the high community transmission of a Macron within the country Macron is spreading across the globe at an unprecedented rate That's the warning from the World Health Organization which is also concerned the variant is being dismissed as mild WHO's chief Tedros as an on Gabriel's has criticized wealthy nations for not helping to share vaccine doses Programs will repeat the vaccine holding We saw this year and exacerbate inequity His warning comes as all adults in England can now come forward for that boost of vaccine if it has been at least three months since their second jab And the U.S. death toll from the coronavirus pandemic has now passed 800,000 That's according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University More than 200,000 of those deaths occurred after vaccines became widely available last spring the U.S. has the highest reported death toll of any country Global news 24 hours a day on air and on bimba quicktake powered by.

"Dudley knows the thing or two about the fed I'm Friday's inflation report to come That could fed fuel fed hike fears and bets with traders in a wait and see mode Still the equity market closed higher for the third straight session on Wednesday Big tech and holdings onto the holding of the gains after his sharp did a rally that's boosting sentiment in Asia with invest is also battling that the global recovery will be resilient to the new virus strain That's if you fall down on the Pfizer story versus the WHO story Let's say we're citrin falls down She is the senior macro strategist of manual life Listening to Dudley and I listened to Dudley because he's talking about faster inflation tighter policy and a more aggressive neutral rate suit Now this all would add to your underweight narrative But break it down for me Just how under priced is the short end of the curve for a faster more aggressive fed The market has moved very quickly in the last several weeks And really those comments from Dudley were striking Now it's consistent with the overnight FT poll of economists that showed the majority of respondents some 56% are expecting that the fed is likely or very likely to end its QE program by the end of March and 50% believe that first hike would occur in the second quarter I have to say that's a lot more aggressive than what we at menu life are expecting But the market has considerable momentum at the moment And it's very difficult to fight it We are however within the wake of the next step on simulating and everyone is really sitting at the edge of their seat some fed rhetoric has not really moved to walk back the market pricing And I think that's a pretty important signal in the meantime It's interesting We put a timeline together Greg and myself the producer on the show this morning it was Steven major who prigged my consciousness that don't block up drone in June transitory we scrapped a faster fed taper one month after their 9th taper So with that narrative major is worried about another hawkish surprise next week Are you do you share that concern and what could that do to markets It's absolutely where the risks are And now we have to take a step back and figure out what changed in the fed's mindset What spooked them And it's very clear that they underestimated the disruptions to global supply chains If you listen to anyone in the logistics world those supply chain disruptions are likely to last for much longer the risk is they move into 2023 That is certainly much longer than the fed is expecting longer than most of the market space case And the central banks not just around the world are very concerned Now the problem is it's a supply driven inflation It's not demand pull and that kind of cost push inflation central banks are just not in the best position to address but they have very blunt tools at their disposal And they will have to use them They want to try and re grasp the narrative and as it were show their authority or some capacity to react quickly to the inflation threat To the equity side we started the show talking about the dispersion between the top and the bottom in terms of who thinks what for the market next year 4400 is the bottom of the Bloomberg service as opposed to the FTC How could you come on Bloomberg and called the FT You've got 4400 at the bottom You've got 50 You've got 5300 on the top side But I've got Ned Davis He's going for a shallow market Look that's a very wide gap I get the sense from you you're still constructive on equities I'm looking at your position short term basis You still want to be long A moderate overweight Describe a moderate overweight to me I think that there is still a very good case to be overweight equities in an environment where the real real is still very low Now I think we need to be a little bit more nuanced when we discuss what an overweight equity position actually means which market if you're looking at the markets as they are currently There's a pretty strong case again for a U.S. outperformance versus international equities Look at the way in which governments are addressing COVID or omnicon for instance the U.S. seems less trigger happy to engage in lockdowns as opposed to say governments in Europe and other parts of the world So from that perspective COVID or subsequent variant disruptions seem less likely in the United States and that should support an outperformance by U.S. I am very concerned about however is that the definition of what it means to be fully protected from COVID or subsequent variants is actually changing Those goalposts are moving So it's no longer two jabs to be defined as fully vaccinated We are seeing the likes of CDC talking about three jabs is now the minimum requirement And from that perspective we can't look at the headline vaccination rates anymore for the two jab statistics In fact you need to remove the share of the population that received their second gem more than 6 months ago Air back those who have received boosters within 6 months and what does that get you The United States the actual fully protective share is less than half of what the official headline writers It's tracking below 30% at the moment So from that perspective it's possible that U.S. politicians are overly complacent because they're just misreading the protection of their population And I think that's why we're seeing hospitalizations rising in the United States That is a key risk to the view that the U.S. can not perform the rest of the world Let's just pivot very quickly to close off We've had some China inflation data PPI top unites CPI still roaring ahead So I looked at what actually I didn't get anything The M life blog team put it together So let's be very clear about the tribute and who put the chart together This is the credit impulse relative to GDP suit 8.8% deficit There's a policy deficit in China Of course we've got a very clear difference between COVID policy monetary policy this kind of deficit Does it leave the room for a highly accommodative PBOC next year A moderately accommodative PBOC Where do I gradient the boost from monetary policy next year in China Well the point I would make about that credit impulse is that it's really still in search of a bottom We haven't even started inflicting high yet and really that's the bare minimum for tuning much more bullish on Chinese economic growth prospects As for PBOC policy we really have to take this word And it's stresses and bends over backwards with just about every policy move that monetary policy remains prudent and neutral And that certainly the message that accompanied the recent triple-A cup So thank you very much to Jim We're going to have to leave it there time has run against it still searching for about that That's going to frighten the horses on the M live blog So thank you very much At macro strategies that a man you.

I got the job on this side. I got a stiff neck on this side. They got the job on this side. And that's life. This is five groups. After the jack interesting and so when i'm still so i tweeted out i go. Hey i got the thing on april seventeenth. My second jab. I still feel like shit. And i told him on my symptoms and immediately people call me a liar right. That's crazy you're and then people said i was eddie backs up like no. I got the backs delegate. What happened and then other people said that. I should shut up about it because it'll make other people hesitant backs and i'm like well that's not how science works you're not supposed to suppress data. That's a pretty sure. That's not how side. I've got a scientist. I'm a comedian. But i'm pretty sure that's not how science works. Suppressing data make the vaccine safer. Do you have any interest in doing that. Megan safer or anything. That's happening to people. So that's just. That was just stunning to me to see that kind of response right..

"There's kind of this platforming of the scandinavian countries that so many people on the left participate and i think there's some things that sweden and denmark get right at least up until recently sweden denmark had some of the most sane immigration policies on the planet that you must speak the language love the country. We're not going to open up our borders. Everyone that has changed recently since the syrian refugee crisis. Denmark doesn't have a minimum wage. Sweden has full school choice. Sweden also i think handled the chief virus and the chinese corona virus. Better than any other country that i can think of. Refusing the lockdown trusting their citizens to make good choices. And let's say rejecting the lockdowns in more ways than what but still. The american left wants to talk about sweden and denmark. Did you know breaking today. Sweden and denmark have halted maderna's chinese corona virus shocked or vaccine for younger people. The swedish walked watchdog sites increased risk of heart inflammation. This is from bloomberg dot com. So if the modern shot is unacceptable for people under thirty because of a heart risk in the pfizer shot should be too. They are effectively. The same product far more alike than they are different. In the primary difference is dosage and pfizer shows very significant myocarditis increase. Risk to remember. This problem was first seen in israel where pfizer was only used in israel. Now governor gavin new cellini governor gavin newsom of california's come out and he said i want the children to be vaccinated. Tragically a fifteen year old. Because of governor newsome's order has now died. This is according to the sonoma's county sheriff's office police. Encino oma county california are blaming the pfizer vaccine. This is the police that are blaming the vaccine everybody for causing the sudden death of santa rosa teenager and by the way this verified this is not conjecture not speculation. This sonoma's county sheriff's office report shows. A determination was made by a medical examiner. That the fifteen year old was found dead in his bedroom. Two days after the second jab and suffered a stress cardio myo patty and coronary artery inflammation all of this verified. So governor gavin newsom comes out and he mandates the vaccine for children in school age children. Meanwhile sweden denmark say timeout. No more vaccinating kids with madonna and now we have a fifteen year old debt in snohomish county had that's the list of thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of other adverse events that we know are pouring in and now a new california study comes out and shows that vaccinated individuals are more susceptible to the kobe variant then unvaccinated a minute. We're gonna post this on. Charlie kirk dot com. 'cause whenever i mentioned these studies we get floods of e-mails. But this is from med. Are x ivy dot org and it's very very credible website. It's not some sort of fringe blog and we want to make sure we get this up. And it says in addition the frequence in addition the increase in the frequency of more antibody resistant strains the population correlates with the increase in the frequency of the population in the vaccination in the population. And by the way just so you know. Sonoma's county has zero pediatric cova deaths. But now they have at least one vaccine related death so we are going to post this study. It's a legitimate medical journal that some sort of fringe thing that can be ignored more. Vaccinations mean that. More resistant strains emerged and natural immunity which you're not even allowed to say has been proven even my own. Admission caught on camera by james. O'keefe's project veritas to be the ideal way to protect yourself and inoculate yourself against the chinese corona virus. So james o'keefe from project veritas. Seizures does not stop. It's amazing the the operation he has there. I think james o'keefe he has stolen more hours of sleep from the ruling class than i think any other person in recent memory. James o'keefe has another story. It's the fourth of the vaccine. Let's just to kind of recap everything. James o'keefe has released the first was the. Hhs story which was a bombshell story. The shows that the doctors within our own federal government or admitting the vaccine is causing side effects. No one's actually using the vaccine adverse event reporting system database as. They say they should be. He then revealed johnson and johnson. He now has pfizer. So james o'keefe then decided to confront the pfizer scientists after the pfizer video previously that we played yesterday where the pfizer scientists said that natural immunity is far superior and that quote visor is just getting with money. I'm paraphrasing that's the essence of it wasn't it was that visors just getting covert money. I'm sick to my stomach working for this company. James o'keefe confronted the pfizer scientists. play cut. seventy.

You can start following me on Twitter, even Ticktock and then you can keep up to date with me. I'll be tweeting and posting on I G throughout the night bringing you uh well, what we find out And then, of course, tomorrow night we will be here and we'll break it all down in terms of what has or hasn't happened. All right, Let's go ahead and get right back to business. Brady, you're next. Welcome to the program. How you doing, Steve? I'm good. I'm going to be better if Larry Elder could pull this off. Good luck. Dominion was behind it. You know what's going to be an audit coming up by next week. So, um, he really will have one. But it's going to take an audit, just like it is to prove Trump right? So, basically, we've all got to head to the hills or go to red states at this point, right? I don't know until we can get a mail are not a mailing, but picture idea and a paper ballot. I don't know how this is ever going to change. Yeah, I don't think we'll ever get it. If we haven't gotten it by now, even with Republicans in power a handful of years ago, it's not going to happen. You know, it's not. But I happened to hear the morning ghouls show with Shapiro. And he had, uh, Oscar Goodman on and this narrative. Uh, he was talking on experience. He goes. Yeah. My wife. She got two jabs and She was in the hospital. She was very sick and And if it wasn't for that, he said, the doctor said to him if it wasn't for the two shots. She could have probably died from not having her condition less than because the shot to lessen the severity. And how could you ever even proved that? That's what the government tells these doctors that tell us that narrative needs to be just thrown away. That's their whole narrative. That's all other sticking with now. They don't want to listen to what's happening in Israel, which disproves that whole theory right there, that the ones who got the jab three and four are the ones that are shedding and spreading it. They cannot accept that. So what they come back with Well, it lessened. The ship comes in. You better get the jab. Yeah. You know what? Well, you know what? We're seeing that, uh across the board. I appreciate the call Brady. Yeah, there are studies out there. I mean, the CDC. If you heard the show earlier tonight, again, I appreciate the call the CDC. Even confirmed that natural immunity is much better than vaccine. So, um, yeah, Look, I can't say for sure What goes on in the minds of man. Dr or other What I can be sure of is what I see and read and know in my gut, and I think a lot of people In fact, millions of people feel just like me. No, There's no doubt though. We're living in some really scary times. Especially for the power grid. Think about that. Look, believe me. In a time of crisis, friends the value of a solar generators. Priceless. You better think about that more now than ever. My friends over at powerful living in Thompson, Illinois. They've got a great one on sale right now, And this generator is really easy to use to. It's literally point and plug and power up. All you do is you take it out Your point the panel at the sun, then you plug the solar panel into the power back up. Turn it on. That's it. It provides backup power and bad weather. It's a great tool for taking that first step towards getting off the grid. And many people are thinking about that today, more than ever. Now. It's not like gas generator so it does run silently. It doesn't emit.

"Get America's vaccinated continues across much of the nation. So far about 75% of adults have gotten a shot. It's a similar picture in the UK, where three quarters of adults are vaccinated. But deaths there are going up at London, in particular has had weak vaccination numbers. Now London officials are on a mission to get more shots to young adults. A large part of the efforts centers on the city's club scene. And Bloomberg's Leanne Garance brings us more in the special report from a club called Heaven. This is a soundtrack for Saturday night out at iconic Club Heaven, But I'm here on a rainy Sunday in heaven sounds just like this. That's because today it has turned into a pop up clinic offering doses of the Pfizer vaccine for anyone needing a first or second jab. It's midday, and only a few people was standing in the queue. I've been speaking to some youngsters who crawled out of bed and braved the rain to get a job. I had it booked by got Covid, so I don't have to cancel it. And then way so that was that you were hungry Done. And then this come up, and I'm like, Why not like I come so much anyway, I might as well come and get it done here. I guess so in brand for me when I think you do for the option. If you still want to do a normal life you need to carry on with society and how we are keeping safe to each other. If you don't want to have your vaccine, you can do your life but not socialized Heaven joins a long list of cultural spots that have turned into pop up clinics is now the first London nightclub to open as a center in the hopes of encouraging more younger people to get vaccinated uptake of the first dose among people aged under 13, England is still well below two thirds, but new figures show hesitancy among younger age groups has fallen. "Washington state offering joints for jabs for jabs to boost people participating in the vaccination programs to fight covid nineteen. How does it work. Simple to boost vaccination rates washington state is offering free marijuana joints to any adults that receive a cove nineteen vaccine on monday. Washington state liquor and cannabis board announced the promotion aptly called joints for jabs that will run until july twelfth. During the initiatives run state. Licensed dispensaries can give age appropriate customers twenty one and older a pre rolled joint when they received their first. Or second dose. That's not fair if it's a two dose deal that's too that's too shots that's two jabs. Why don't you get to. Joints suddenly becomes a sublime song. I mean i don't. I don't understand why we're still trying to incentivize with bad habits. People who are trying to get healthier and not get the corona virus. That doesn't make any sense to me. The state of washington is is essentially. Bribing rush would have had a field day with the notion of joints jabs and jabs for joints. And how do you make the decision on what you go first with joints for jabs or jabs for joints. You do the job. Then you get the joint or you get the joint because you did the job. These are the things that have to be focused group and tested with a large budget. And some kind of a mockup board. You gotta have the mockup board. You gotta have psychedelic coloring.

Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine deemed "safe and effective" by the FDA

"And johnson. It's been shown that they're vaccine is effective at preventing hospitalizations and severe effects of covid. Nineteen this from scientists at the fda we're seeing about. I think it's sixty six percent effective when it comes to moderate to severe cases of covid nineteen so matthew. Tell a little bit more about what we're hearing with. His johnson and johnson vaccine right so what happened. Is that johnson. Johnson released data about a month ago. You know press release but the process for evaluating these vaccines is that they go through the fda and the fda really unique in the world independently looks at the data and re analyzes the data that the company produces and its own report and then hold a public meeting which will be happening friday and so the documents before the public meeting came out and they had some good news both some really clear data on hospitalizations and a general sense of approval from the fda researchers. Sometimes they're not as positive so it looks like this may be another option now. The big plus is on. This is one. It's a one shot dose. So you don't have to go back for a second jab in the arm and also doesn't need to be kept frozen like the pfizer derna vaccines do so shipping and handling of all of this will be a lot easier much easier to transport and that's a big advantage. It does not look like we're gonna have a huge amount of supply the start off with so it doesn't dramatically change how fast we're going to be any shots into people's arms but for a lot of people i think in a lot of experts i talked. You think this'll be a great option. It's one and done. I think some of the numbers. I saw the might have about four. That are produced right now. Ready to send out so it gets approved. They can get those out really quick but it wouldn't be until april possibly where they can really ramp up production to start distributing that right and will also be getting over that where they're hundreds of millions of doses of the two vaccines have the madonna and fayza biontech vaccines. That are expected to arrive in the us by july. So there's gonna be a lot more vaccine available. The jj supply will ramp up and we'll be getting more of those other two vaccines that leaves. There's a vaccine coming from nova vacs. We don't really know about how much will getting the early results issued press. Release again good and we're waiting for. Us results on the astra zeneca vaccine. Now some good news. With his johnson and johnson one is its effectiveness against these variants. That we've been hearing a lot about so it fared better than expected when it comes to those. I the way to interpret. That is we'd seen some results and the new results that they showed today look a bit better than what we'd seen in terms of variants. There's still does seem to be decreased. Efficacy against the south africa variant. Three five. Which is really the one that we're all worried about but it did look better than what we've seen previously and what j. j. has said it seems like with those variants. This vaccine is still preventing severe disease and hospitalization. Which are the key things. We've always wanted from vaccine here. The idea that you'd prevent a symptomatic infection or mild cases kind of bonus compared to just making sure that people end up in the hospital hospitalizations numbers were good on that front. What did we see when it comes to side effects. I saw that there were a few unexpected side effects. Although these are very rare you know but The expecting side effects the kind of pain in the arm the headache fatigue. That's pretty much in line with the other two vaccines. We have that right now. There were some rare events that occurred more often in the vaccine in the placebo group. Keeping in mind that forty thousand people were in this trial. There were fifteen serious blood clots including some. Dvd's in that exciting compared to ten in the placebo group. That's something the fda plans to monitor there was also some rini ears in the vaccine group and not in the placebo group. So that's kind of an odd one that will wanna watch again. This is really a prelude to friday win. Some of the top experts in the world are going to gather on zoom call and go over these data that the fda assembled we'll be live blogging that stat. That's when we really find out a lot about any medical product. It's it's one of the amazing things. The fda does now an interesting thing in all of this so public health officials might have a messaging problem when it comes to pumping the johnson and johnson. One out when we're seeing guys like pfizer maderna's say that their vaccine is ninety five percent effective against corona virus. Just listening to numbers right. This says sixty six percent. So what are they going to have a challenge in getting people to want to take this one over the other or you know how how to work out. It's really important to realize that particularly between those three vaccines. The getting vaccine is much better than not getting a vaccine. The change vaccine may be on par after a second dose and that study is being done but unlike visor during the second dose is going to be months after the first and then also slows down the study. She gotta wait right for people to get their second dose. So we're not expecting those data until kinda summerish but the big thing is for a lot of people. There was also the appeal of a single dose here. And i don't think we should understate that. And the effect on severe disease is big so the problem is gonna be the in the initial rollout. You really want people to take whatever vaccine. They're giving because being vaccinated is so much better than not being vaccinated. And that is part of the path to get in the world back to normal and public health. Authorities are absolutely going to have to articulate that now again because there's not going to be that much supply of this initially. They're going to have time for a learning curve right now. the demand for vaccines clearly outstrips supply. That's why you're hearing so many stories of people desperately logging on trying to get vaccine. What scott gottlieb used to run. The fda has raised the issue of you know. We're we're going to reach a point where the people who wanna get vaccinated we'll have been vaccinated and we're still going to need to vaccinate more people and that's when convincing people who are less sure to take vaccine in to take the vaccine that's available is going to become more of an issue last question briefly pfizer moderna vaccines are based on 'em a. What kind of platform is the johnson and johnson. When using this like theatrics annika vaccine is called an ad no virus which is a kind of virus that is used to the same kind of ideas marin a the instead of traditional vaccines were you inject the protein that your immune system sees and then learn to recognize an attack. These sneak something into your body that makes a lot of proteins. You make a lot more protein and then the body recognizes that an attack it in this case they're using this virus which is kind of a cold virus to sneak some genetic material in and that makes the spike protein from the sars virus which your body then learns to recognize and thereby has antibodies that attack the virus
