"Is a little shaky. Payton pritchard is a promising young prospect by. He's definitely a few years away from being the best version of south and one of the things that frustrated me about the celtics offense this year. Is that jaylen. Brown has been basically are only consistent rim attacker from game to game and it's clearly take a huge toll on his body. So i loved the idea of the celtics. Drafting a guard Preferably somebody who can play back up to or backup one Switch around size would be great but in particular somebody who can really attack the rim and provide auctions a cut for and as somebody who can draw the defense and celtics have been really lacking that when brown is off the court this year. I have a couple of questions about some more pure playmakers. Because i agree with everything that has been said but playmaking in particular has been a really big team-ful of finishers on the celtics right now and i'm wondering a there's a couple of bags i haven't had a chance to get any in depth. Look at them but namely Josh diddy of australia He's playing for adelaide in think Sharieff cooper of auburn both really really high rate of assists in the game. I was wondering if you intel on them that we don't yeah absolutely so Guinea is a really interesting prospect. He started to really move up draft words. I would say just in the last month or two. He's really seen a pretty dramatic rise. He's six eight is only about two hundred five pounds but he has been putting on weight. So that pretentiously bodes well for the future. He's an incredible playmaker. Really great passing vision at six hundred eight can see over the defense in releasing to make some really you know really great passes He he played on the australian national team. He was the youngest to do so sense. Ben simmons and i think that will start to see as we get a little bit closer to the drafts of comparison. Ben simmons coming out. I don't think he's quite that good at passing And he's definitely not built. Quite as much as ben simmons. But i think he is definitely an interesting passer His father played in the nba..

"Same time. Avoid making customers feel fat. Shame. So they've created these pressurized pads at self-service backdrops or during full body scans. And they could tell how much a passenger ways without everybody around them seeing the weight and just like they do with facial recognition technology. These pads will confidentially send data to the airlines just for the purpose of fuel economy. Because right now, how airlines are gauging how much fuel to have. On on an airplane is by estimating each male passenger weighs about two hundred five pounds, any female passenger one hundred sixty five pounds, and what happens is they generally end up carrying more fuel than they need. And so this companies like, hey will create these pads, you way, everybody you'll know exactly how much weight is on this flight, and then you can have how much gas you need for it. And you can also distribute the passengers evenly left side right side, if you know how much everybody ways. So would you be cool? You're shaking your head. -lutely not. No, absolutely not. Because that's what they say. They say it's for fuel economy. But who knows what they're actually going to do with that information? But also like for somebody who is like, let's say, they're, you know, they're a little bit heavier than what they what they want in that category. Are they gonna go up to him and say, I'm sorry. But you're going to have to move over here to the right? Isn't that kind of discriminating and shaming it? Yeah. I mean, it would be potentially very very embarrassing for somebody except they do that. Now as far as moving people left to the right? I've been on flights where they've said on you know, what we need a few more bodies on the right side of the plane before we take off any volunteers and people raise their hands. It's not like they say you, and you and you have to move. They generally explain we need some more bodies on this side and people raise their hand. Look, I'm coming place of I don't care if you wait me. I don't care if you have to draw my blood just get me to where I need to go safely such an anxious flyer. Anyway, like, I don't care. I really do. Don't care, and I and if it's discreet, whatever, you know, nobody else around me needs to know any to drop twenty pounds. Right. Well, how do you feel about it? I mean, would you be willing to get on an airplane or have them way? You I should say before getting on an airplane. You can text us three seven three three seven text wash. Yes. I don't think there's only one way to break Jonah the heavyweight division, which has to be against DC. I did think that until I heard the steep back away. Wait a minute. "It just might be the most rewarding thing you do today. Let's move on because we have some other news. So John Jones alluded to the fact that he's in talks or somehow interested somewhere, there's a discussion of. Him and steep. What very nice of John to come out of tell everyone. I told you guys out almost two weeks ago. And I didn't even break it I stole it from Errol who told you about two and a half weeks ago. So I guess congratulations. John Jones for teasing some of your old news that everybody had. But I would like to stay on that topic. Because I liked that fight. I really do every time there's been talk or to ski I like the parody of it right up right out of the gate anytime. There was talking to Scott of John Jones going up to heavyweight it was exclusively to take on Dana Cormie, then we even heard some rumblings of rumble throwing his name into the mix. But again, it heavyweight that's probably not going to happen with rumble John's probably not going to happen, Daniel corm and maybe down the road. But I hear he's with Brocklin's all of a sudden you hear steep a he wants a refreshing name. There's a refreshing Nissen that because I hadn't thought of it. I hadn't heard it before it's wasn't considered anytime. John Jones is going to get in there. One thing that John is going to need in. It's the plight of his own success. He is so good in created such a gap from everybody to create the mystery or the illusion that tonight is perhaps the night that the torch gets past perhaps it tonight is the night that John Jones gets beat. That's tough. It just going to be tough for me. Just got to be that good. Well, steeping fills up void. And I won't go as far with you guys right now to give you a prediction to give you an Allison of that fight or breakdown or even tell you that I would be betting on steep. I won't go that far. But we also don't need to as long as we can turn on the part of our brain. That says that's a possibility as long as we can do that for a business side from an anticipation from a media from a build up from a suspense. That's all we need and steep. A most definitely satisfies that most definitely you stay bango. Wait a minute. That's a hard hitter. That moves real well on his feet that knows how to wrestle the. Doesn't just go get thrown down and held their steep. It could be a really interesting that we'd never considered. In addition. We would be along for the journey went away because that would be the foray into John j-o-h-n changing his career to the heavyweight division. I don't think any of us would be naive enough to think that Jon Jones is going to go up on a one off for a non title fight. And then jump back down to two hundred five pounds. You'll be very obvious that he comes up. He would at least have a couple of fights. He would at least go from steep a boom right into Cormet or of Cormet is to lose to Leser, perhaps there's a potential for LeicesteR fight. But either way I think we could at least conclude as reasonable fans that follow the sport that this is not going to be a one off this'll be the first step of a journey into creating a new story in John Jones and his career, and it would be it heavyweight, and it's fun. And it's compelling, and who the hell knows who's going to win it. It serves. Everything it needs to. Plus, don't forget you're saying you're talking about John Jones. Gotta get steeply that to the table, right? It's not as though steep. The most decorated heavyweight of all time is sitting over there with no fans and no interest. People wanna see St. pay. Something is not stimulating steeping. My guests from the things that I've heard him say is he's really just interested in the championship and the championship right now goes through Dana Cormie, why think that this one would change his mind. I would I would guess that. It would there is something special in something meaningful about being the guy that beat John Jones for sure. Plus if he was to be John Jones, I think that would also be quite clear that he would be promised a fun..

"So I think in many ways you should also open that category to Floyd. But an MNA it's tough Brock. Maybe may Bronco did have good partners across them of. But maybe if he didn't he could still draw Connor always did have a storyline behind him. But if he didn't it maybe could never been put in that position. So he can't fall into that category. And in many ways, I think you would have to couple Georgia and with that I think there's a few matches that were. More than aware of how the outcome was going to be enjoyed still did very well. So it's just a tough spot. It's a tough spot. So when I'm asked that question of who can come up and challenge him, I interpret that a little bit differently than everybody else. When most people are asked who can challenge of their straight talking about can anybody take that belt from John? Is there anybody that can push John? Is there anybody that could if we give him five rounds could they went around with John that is how most people would break that I hear it differently. Who can John do great business with? That's the way I hear that question. And if you want an answer to that, I really do think that I'm right that it's going to be come a point John to go find that guy and John's already some say of stuff that I find interesting. I mean, it is foreshadow and it is greatly down the road. But he's already started about Israel out of Sonya and Israel's already started talking about John as much as you guys might want to see that fight will give it a little bit of time. If is he goes and becomes a one hundred eight five pound champion. And now you're talking about a super fight, and he starts to get his brand and his name and his exposure out there. Little bit more. Give them a couple of fights. Here's a totally different landscape. The perhaps you're imagining right now. Now, let me look the other side of the coin. Let's see is. He doesn't get the strap. And then he's looking for something new to do. So he bumps up to two hundred five pounds and grabs a winner too. Yeah. I think I think you would be interested in John. I realize I'm stretching a little bit here. But I feel like the way that that division is set up. It requires some stretching it's not a real clear architect or blueprint or recipe. It requires some imagination. So I'm offering you a little bit. Now another way to go that would be easier and quicker cell would be to bump John up to heavyweight which people have been looking at doing. And would also be very exciting. Because if you got him to heavyweight against anybody, if you just got him two heavyweight, you could then start to have a very realistic conversation and expectation that you will see John versus Daniel again, which I think ultimately is the biggest fight in the sport. You could make right now, I really do. Conor could be you cannot make right now. They're on suspension. I think the biggest fight you could make right now. The you guys were Yaman stop what I'm doing order of some pizzas, I'm going to have some friends over and I'm gonna make sure I tune I really think that it's at fight..

"Max aircraft out of the skies. They are being grounded that seventy two planes in America, mostly southwestern American Airlines before the grounding globally, there were twelve hundred of these flights day involving this aircraft just to give you an idea twelve hundred flights involving the max aircraft. I spoke to a Southwest Airlines pilot this afternoon, a captain, and he told me, quote, it is a plane that is a delight to fly. It is a complicated aircraft the new model, but he says he's had no problems with it at all. And he's surprised that the planes are being grounded. That was a southwest pilot. Tell me this afternoon, basically, a delight to fly saying he's looking forward to getting more information on what exactly happened here. So what do you think if you float on the plane if you haven't flown on the plane, but you're showing up at the airport tomorrow? And this was the plane being used would you fly on it? I would I believe that the FAA when the plane was still in the air the past two days and people were freaking out had decided that the plane was safe, and it was okay and the plane flew, and there were no issues I would show up at the airport, and I would get on the airplane. I'm a lot safer getting on that airplane or any airplane in any country, actually, even a third world country than I am driving down capital drive and going through the intersection here, this has been a discussion that we've had over the last couple of days about this plane. But I think if you knew it was the plane would you still get on? Or would you try to switch airlines? I think if I didn't know I would get on. Yeah. I I wouldn't switch airline. Scheduled to fly to Phoenix, and I can fly tonight on the max or I can fly tomorrow afternoon. Lose a day. Absolutely. I wouldn't even even question. Yeah. I wouldn't even question it, Greg. You fly you flew to Phoenix. I did. And it was a nice big plane. It was comfortable. I don't know. Why just in my mind bigger is safer. And I don't I don't know why I believe that. I would never drive a smart cards on it. Got a lot of giving their probably wouldn't fit very well either. That would be another concern. How I how I v I'm six three two hundred five pounds. Like, I I like a little bit more room if possible, hey, let's go to the phone lines. You have a couple of people who have flown on the plane recently. Let's go to Paul who's on the north shore. Paul good afternoon. You're WTMJ taken the call. Yeah. Flew last Thursday coming back from from Oregon and I'm scared applied on Monday. And now, I don't know what they're gonna do it because they grounded them. So is this in and out of Milwaukee that you fly. Yeah. Okay. So the plane is a newer plane. If you fly southwest often sounds like you do could you tell the difference is in a nicer plane the interiors nicer, I, you know, I'm not a pilot out. But that'd be fed. I'm more upset that they're going to have to replace the plane something pretty route thirty four of them, and you know, just fine thirty four new claim to fill these routes. That's a very good point. Like what's going to happen to you on Monday? Exactly. And they've been sunny thing, and it's still much safer than getting in your car and driving cross country. Yes. Driving telenor? So the percentages workout much more favor flying, no matter what aircraft so Paul if so Paul knowing what we know about the airplane. If we had still been the only country not to ground the plane and were saying it was okay. But the rest of the world had would you get on that seven seven max on Monday. If that was the option. Absolutely. You can get on a regional could hit a flock of birds and come out just as easy as the maxi become down. So yeah. Hey, paul. Thank you very much for the perspective. Gyms in new Berlin. Jim you're on WTMJ flew from Sean next national here and on one of them. And it's a it's a bigger plane was more comfortable to the other seven thirty sevens. And. It was. I didn't have an issue with it. Although, you know, kinda got my attention as soon as they started talking about it. I said, oh we through on one of those. You had a good point there. You know saying? Everybody's mind. Are they close Campbell closer? That's probably it's the safety thing as far as whether I get on one. So let me ask you that same question if the United States was still flying the airplane, which they were until just a couple of hours ago while the west of the world was not would you get on that airplane? If it was the plane by what I look for the basic reason that you stated earlier yourself, you know, it's it's so much looking at it right now. But it's probably a little more than a lot of other planes are in a different situation are more dangerous. Jim thank you very much for the phone call. I I would definitely get on the airplane. I they've grounded the plane right now. And if they ten minutes from now said your flight is scheduled to be a max, we changed our mind, I would get on the airplane. It just depends on how often you fly. If you fly all the time. Maybe a more comfortable, you know, what I'm saying. Like you fly quite a bit, right? And if I fly on the airplane airplane. I would think about it. If I knew it was that airplane. I would probably ask if there was a different plane. If there wasn't well, then if I didn't want my plans to get changed. I probably would go on Greg. Would you get on the plane if that was the plane coming home to your family? Yeah. I think so I think it again just regional jets kind of freaked me out more than the mixed up. Yeah. Yeah. I kind of agree with you. It's four fifty seven on WTMJ..

"Miscalculation because I started to. Move out tour, and I wasn't that far from her. I can't remember maybe ten fifteen feet, and and she's looking at me, and she's kind of a little ice hall, and she's trying to get toward me. And in my head. I just had this sort of weird thought that I hadn't thought of before my dog is about sixty five pounds. I'm about two hundred five pounds two hundred ten at that point. What are the chip Bush? I go, right. I fell through the ice myself. And the shocking thing was I'm tasting sulfur. I'm tasting like, the sediment of the thing, and I can't stand. Mike a sports writer for the Washington Post when all this happened years ago, and he wrote a really beautiful account of what came next for the newspaper, and it's part of that he researched. And yeah, the center of the CNN canal does get much deeper than six four. Is in the water is only about five feet away from his dog. He wrote that punching into the icy water that happened the water shocked him like a dental drill hitting an exposed nerve. That's what it felt like boom it was freezing. And then and then one of the things that's very arresting about reading your account of this is just how fast things go south for you. It's it's like you're trying to pull yourself up on the ice. And then you're right within two minutes. You can't even feel your hands and your lower extremities are beginning to feel numb the dog is in even worse shape than you. Yeah. She's just looking toward me for help. But every time I I every time I try to push myself up on the ice cracks a little I can't I can't get on a solid piece. And I'm starting to get cuts on my Rhys as I'm going up on the is, and I'm probably panicking at that point a little too because I don't have much time. The these things. Happen quickly. He tried over and over to watch himself up onto the is that every time he did it would break underneath him. And he'd be back in the water. He made it to his dog Luli pause on his back daughters up. It wasn't clear. What to do? He thought about the stories. You always hear about people who die in the wilderness, hiking, or whatever I had this really selfish Fain moment where I thought. I'm not dying in the Kodiak region. I'm not dying. In the gallatin or the Madison in Montana. I'm frigging fifteen minutes from a Ralph Lauren stored guys Georgetown's down.

"Can reasonably stay out of trouble and just collect victory. Even if it's Anthony Smith or Johnny Walker, whoever it is going to completely reform his image. He will be a hero again. Two seconds after that to fourteen knock of Korean the rematch to instantly. Right. The he's the greatest multi was y'all small small-time. We want him to be that we like him and like him. But how about this cutthroat narrative out against the wall, sleep it sticks? How about this could be or should be his last two hundred five pounds. I mentioned that Anthony Smith like great story, but as you really really deserving title shot in more crowd division. No, okay. I like beating washed is I like beat up. Maybe never will be in Volkan, maybe a little bit too. Harsh the way I was raised, but he shake that there's already hater. I did say wash Goldie before they gets really mad. I bring that. Anyway back. Even have the point is look what else is there. You look at the top fifteen a lot of guys Jones be a lot of guys coming off losses. There's Dom race. And there's a Johnny Walker red who looking pretty good right now. But are they ready for a title shot waste that? Now. John just by staying busy and winning John's gonna move into that go if he's not already there if you're GSP which we stabs last week. Some people are Joe. It's going to pass that. But if he goes to heavyweight now rather than later the amount of big business matchups available every time he fights. It's going to be calf to see chemists. And the opportunities to expand historically what he's already accomplished you can speed up a lot. I think the narrative is that that he's out there to to become the go. Everybody was always like skill wise. You look at John Jones. You might just say he's the greatest his biggest enemy has been himself because in order to become the go. You got to fight in order to fight. You got to stay active instead of trouble. And he threw a bunch of circumstances. He hasn't been able to achieve that in his in this stage of his career. But I remember a time where remember he was just destroyed people you'll Machida show gun rampage was going through people, and you're like God who can stop this, man. You know, that sort of wondering feeling we kind of lost it because the whole thing was okay. When his John Jones gonna get into trouble. What's next? What's this? And I feel like this quick turnaround. The Anthony Smith about not just pursuing a super five but the deserving contender. Who, you know, whoever's up next in the line all of that just adds into like, look, I'm here. I'm an active fighter I'm going to reach that goal status. And he said he might become the go at the end of this year. So that's fun to watch. And I think that's the story on this guy. That's going to get back on the horse. And and improve everybody wrong that you know, he is the greatest you wanna have, you know, I think it's the same type of thing. Stay fighting fight different diverse types of characters. So we can see the multitude of skills that you possess, and then we can have that conversation. No matter what division. It's at takes. Rick with wanna make sure we don't forget about four Anthony Smith say four, but my God the guys got in the ton of attention. I've had both of my shows..

"But yeah, I mean, rob is what was interesting about route to that. He's been in share of wars span. It's not like he's George saint-pierre guy that just has dominated competition out wrestle guys ever taken damage. I mean, he he goes out there fan favorite because he gets slugfest. So pretty crazy. Rob is just a he's just a one of kind dude Bettendorf bulldog. A little shout out to the quad cities. And my former stopping grounds. Let's talk about the guy at the top of the car John Jones, but minus eleven dollars at the time of this taping here at the west gate, obviously his talent and skill set is really undeniable over the years, but he's had so many issues away from the octagon. He hasn't lost technically since two thousand nine and that's why he's such a big favorite. How do you handicap this fight about where it's at you know, it it's it's one of those flights where the more you study, it the more you just you can't find a way that that they gotta win. And I don't say that respect equity. I just you know, the Anthony as a former bit away, and he was he's he was fighting her eighty five pounds just a year ago. I mean, he he lost at middleweight one year ago in February of two thousand eighteen so he's he's had a meteoric rise through two hundred five division part of that is due to talented you. His -bility to finish. It's part of it. Also, just that division is pretty I mean, if you could knock out a couple of people that you could make a real real big climb the rings, which is exactly what Anthony Smith done. I mean, he's not a particularly big guy for two hundred five pounds know, particularly athletic guy. I mean, certainly when you compare John Jones, I mean, he's facing just about every disadvantage possible in this fight, technically athletically, the only vantage that he does have on John Jones is the experience, and I do think that that is worth something. I think that when you're talking about another dog of of that size. You know, Anthony Smith is just one of those this is gonna be his forty fifth professional fight. So he just comfortable everywhere. He knows what it feels like to be on. You know, he knows what it feels like ever. Does it feels like to be the daylight? If you the Dale they're against Jon Jones. He's still have a little bit of a chance because he's not gonna fold. It's not gonna be something that he'd never felt before he still going to be a little bit dangerous in there. But technically speaking, you just doesn't have a lot of ways of winning fight Meade Meet is. his light heavyweight debut in two thousand eighteen so a year ago in June against shot Evans and one that in the first round. So he's three since including that fight so two thousand eighteen when three now, but actually I should say three and one he lost the fight before that. But it is it is hard to. So this is a sport where you do see upsets. Right. That's why it's different than so many other sports like I'll never forget George saint-pierre losing to Matt Sarah now, obviously just had some personal issues that week going on. So there's some justification, but it was a similar line minus eleven dollars or so, and you can see it because there is a road to recovery from losing that these fighters sort of understand that's why they may be I don't know like open losing. But it's just not it's not like boxing Floyd Mayweather its path so to speak, but I also do not see it. Yeah..

"They are not end. Basically know how to set them up and set the blocking up and then contact balance basically that ability to take a hit and not go over if not full down if you get armed tackled in the thigh. Those are two things I've noticed basically all great running backs half, regardless of how big are whether or not they have a four five forty four six forty or a four three forty. Yep. For me are the biggies, and those are the two things that Montgomery is really good at. Yes. So he had eight thirty five point four percent broken tackle rate, which is very good at that is going to translate his overall efficiency end excess rate wasn't great. But that was also because he was running behind in offense of line that ranked ninety seventh at nine. Nine seven. That's not great. So he was running behind ideal. One of the worst offensive line's really in the country, but he was still able to break tackles at a high Brady and thirty one point nine percent. I down rate which is still pretty good, especially considering there weren't many holes being opened for him. So when you look at a running back who has to produce on his own that was that was absolutely him. You put him behind slightly better offensive line. And I can't stress enough how much authentic lines in college. And in the pros impact the running game think we saw that with saquon Barkley this year. How good Barbie was individually. It really did not matter when the offense of fine could not consistently create holes for him to get through. So the individual talent of running back only matters so much if an offensive line is not there. But if you look at someone like Montgomery who produced without that. Offensive line. That is good. He's one of these guys that also didn't have great receiving numbers this year only twenty five targets twenty two receptions, one hundred fifty seven yards. But last year he was a much bigger part of the Iowa State passing game with forty seven targets and thirty six receptions. So I'm not totally sure why that would cut almost in half. But that is a good indicator that he can be a piece of passing game going forward the NFL yet. The only thing I could think of with regards who was passing numbers is maybe just keen Butler being a monster. He just absorbed some of those passes. Yeah, we briefly touched on Butler during our wide receiver episode and his target share was thirty three point three percent. So good early a third of Iowa state's passing attempts went to Kim Butler. So that is yeah. That is part of it. Although you would like to see maybe the muck governor who was clearly. If not the the best player the second best player on that offense getting a couple more touches, but as we move on. Now, let's go to someone who who's also kind of interesting was a senior this year, and maybe could have gotten a little drafted a little higher. If he came out last year that's bibles Gaskin of Washington, yet holiest guys Gaskin might be my favorite. He probably won't be the first one off the board. But for me when he's especially as junior season more than a senior season because I think his offense of line was a little bit better his junior year, Washington's offense, I think definitely was. He is just fun to watch. I know I bring that up a lot. But it it's it's true. Like guys who are fun. He's a little bit smaller than these other guys. I've I've seen him listed either five nine sometimes five ten. Right around two hundred two hundred five pounds. But he's got that almost shady McCoy ability to just. Drop his hips and move in ways that are running back just probably shouldn't be able to do really great balance, really good vision. And just he can navigate around in through the line of scrimmage like. Few other backs up scene. Yeah. He's someone. I liked a lot after junior year, but he struggled a little bit in cedar year. And by shrug we still had one thousand two hundred sixty eight rushing yards on two hundred fifty nine attempts. But just not not as explosive. I think part of that was kind of the Washington offense wasn't overall explosive. I think if anyone sat through the Pac twelve championship game, you can see that the Washington offense just was not clicking very often this year..
