Myriam Gurba Reads Her Story, "Writing Ourselves Into Bed"
"I appreciate you sitting down with me today. Your episode affected me in multiple ways in ways that i've experienced trauma firsthand and also second hand through friends and family and it wasn't just the story itself that affected me when you were in the studio Before we hit record you give us a heads up that you might have some difficulty reading the story which you did beautifully. And i'm curious the way you write about. Your experiences is harrowing to read. So how do you prepare yourself to write it and do you place boundaries for yourself as far as when you deliberately choose to remember it and examine it. Maybe if you could expand a little bit on that for that is an excellent question or those are. That's an excellent set of questions. The reason that i appreciate that question. Because i've encountered during interviews. The fallen question isn't writing about abuse. Cathartic and while writing has cathartic elements. There's nothing innately cathartic about it. And when a person creates our that is rooted in a history of trauma. That person does have to revisit those moments and that person is required to remember them reimagined them and in many senses reconstruct them and i think that it is that reconstruction that can be incredibly difficult and that reconstruction cannot only awake in the prior wound but can bring a new injury
Stas Tushinskiy on Making Audio Advertising Conversational
"So how'd you evolved from what is in a sense of a one way stream You're going to go back to when you sarah huckabee set to solve The full speed of what the initial learnings. And how'd you count on for up. You have right now. Yes so we were thinking a lot how we solve the engagement challenge in the one days struck us a voices. The answer goes. That's not the way to engage with everything actually back then. We already had siri but he was. Maybe six months of before alexa happened. Alexa alexa boom in high. Remember clearly with cs. Does that thousand seventeen when everybody started talking about alexa and we were lucky with the timing because when we introduced our first pilot product. This is exactly when alex to hype stock and it helps a lot and it also helped us in on a macro level because it it it made. The voice adoptions faster and those that was the first part to realize what needs to be done but then the second was. I think it was even. It was a hot a task for us. Like how would you work wasn't obvious it back then and instill. This is the reality. Even today. we have thirty seconds at spots so all audio ads supposed to fit thirty second ad. Lots like ninety percent of them. You have fifteen as well. Majorities thirty seconds. And when he when he can speak with the consumer when he can have a dial feed it in thirty seconds because Can go in. Many directions started with a one of their more. No the way to leave me alone. I don't wanna talk to cannot be same second hand. And i think that was the biggest breakthrough that we had when we just said to ourselves. What if we had no retirement today. So why don't we forget about radio. How would be one adds to build to build like today right and it was clear. We want it to be a driven conversational interactive in funds. And it'll be short because today everybody's like multitasking. Always a hurry. And so we're like okay if that's the case why don't we make ads batter. Let's be real people at. They love brands if they hate
Chad Holloway Wins a Poker Tournament
"Top story in poker over the last week is most definitely chad. Holloway winning a poker tournament. How in the world. Chad did this happen. Break down for us. We'll tell you what it started. When i learned that you might be overtaken atop the media polka rankings. That our good friend. Tim duckworth puts together. It's just a fun little website where we keep track of poker media members who play poker. I've been on top for a while but you've been playing a bit some get out there. I better put some effort in went down to the venetian actually may day. Two of the ultimate stack. It was a six hundred dollar buying it. Had i think over six hundred runners something at ground ground my way to a thirty second place. Finish nothing too special I was happy to get that far. Honestly because one of those tournaments where i was i think it was below average literally the whole tournament i didn't late registered in just ground from there but they had a three hundred dollar monster stack. That was like four levels in and so i said let me lay reg. This thing had one hundred ninety four runners and may have been a few cocktails may have went in there with the idea of playing super aggressive and just building stack and it worked to perfection in like twelve hours later at four. In the morning we ended up working a five-way deal and i was very happy to do that. Because at the final table. I was sitting okay and chips but then lost a huge one and i looked like i was going to go out in seventh place for like fifteen hundred bucks and i was down to eighty. They're not even kidding. Eighty-five thousand after this hand and the blinds rat twenty thousand forty thousand of the forty thousand anti and it was. I think i had two hands before the blind set me. Firsthand folded secondhand. I told the guy. Look i gotta go all in no matter what like. I can't wait for the big blind. Half my chips in the big blind anne so when in guy woke up with queens i had four three and ended up. Moving riverina straight up in the very next hand wasn't the big blind but they they gave me a walk a walk to take my chips back and then from there within twenty minutes i went from eighty five thousand two over two million in lead the jury And i bust the two people in between down to five and it was at that point. It's like all right. Let's let's work a delay. 'cause it's kinda flippy i know easily it can come and go and so is able to to lock up sixty six hundred bucks or something like that so and i got the coin. The venetia coin in tournament pluto quote unquote. Victory for for the job
Jake Recaps an Unreal $40K Weekend
"Jake you had a good weekend. You finish eighth in the five hundred dollar bracelet event for almost nine k. You chopped the party to fifteen major for six point five k. And you finished second in the w three twenty one hundred k. Guaranteed whilst heads up to a ten cents and go grindr which that got so so you got. You got twenty three for that. So that's what people wanna talk about. Is that that specific tournament score both burkey matt burke who you've had on the show software why he was streaming it with you at his table from maybe fourteen down and he made the final table as well and it was one of the more wild just rides to the final table. It was pretty crazy. I mean it's funny. How things can change so quickly. Because i mean i basically the chip lead from like i think eighty cash biscuit the chip lead from when the money head down to maybe like sixteen or seventeen and then all of a sudden. We're basically like there's twelve left. Eleven that them on the bubble. And it's like there's and on my table. It's me burkey Vlad was was a turning rag Another attorney rag. And i'll emc each in then the other table go now. The goat was on the other table. Chair Whenever his name was hammy or whatever you know jamming fish that ended up winning it Who was just like a total wild card and so it was i. I was actually fortunate to be pretty card debt and not really have like any like supergirl spots we final table. I literally the first hand this final table. This this guy opens under the gun and then calls like twenty blind region with queens suited And i'm like and i had to like i wasn't even like jan j hammy called with the quincy to raise called. Maybe two hands later. I mean it was just it was just wild. It was like he basically just like would randomly go and pre flop for any amount and he would call any amount like it was actually kinda gross. Because with like five left's i think I was five or five. And i had like seventeen blinds. Ali opens the cutoff and have an incredibly easy region with sixes on the button. But i'm man like obviously this is just like a amazing spot but this guy might call with jack antonoff from big blind like he's stole the chip lead end up getting through and didn't really face any. Ah of those like crazy hands until we got ended up getting heads
Dante Nero: Making Her Feel Safe
"Subjects to everything that you do, like what you're thinking, it eludes, through your pores, do your posture, do your tone of your voice, to the cage, up your voice, your facial expression, your eyes, your gestures, it exudes. And so there's if there's a lack of confidence that is doomed in the subject whether or not you think you're hiding and it's like a poker tell. So there's always the subject. So for instance, like if you're walking with a young lady and you're on a date and all of a sudden, she's talking and a dog Our comes and you put your hand and you that little gesture. That's like my move, not that I do it cuz I'm the woman but that's my favorite move is if a car's coming and you you kind of, you know, take her by the waist and suck, gently move over to the other side of the sidewalk that's like the move right now. Let me ask you this. Why is that, like, why do you like, is it just a visceral feeling or I guess, what I'm asking is? Do you understand the subject, the subject to a woman is this guy makes me feel safe? Makes me feel taken care of. And so you get some touch in there at the same time as some emotional anchoring and boom. Now, here's what's interesting. Even more than I'm gonna go even deeper than enough to one handedly. Do it is said, is that? I'm so comfortable, that I have control over this situation that I don't even have to put two hands. I love that. The other thing is I care about To even though you're running your yapping your mouth I care about if you're okay. So I'm not going to see something happen to leave you swing. So all of these really deep subjects attracting you as a woman on a visceral level, it literally touches all these things to the point where it is almost, can't explain it. Like the articulated, it's difficult, but instant feeling of safety and attraction and sexuality. And the fact that there's a confidence when he can do it with one arm, he's not even making a big thing about it. Just just what I do. My Dodge bullets
Part 2 Being a Witness, Storytelling, Play, and Art With Ella Reilly
"Then I have another lovely example of, you know, a child very much taking what they need and knowing what they need. And, and I had this little guy in Iraq and this was ages ago, but he, you know, he had come in and was it was pretty obvious that it was kind of an insecure attachment. So a lot of distress with new people and unable to leave home side. You know, very much stuck to her. Glue, you know, wouldn't move with it were moving and so we, we did a lot of work around that move. Eventually got into sections that are owned and in one of our sessions, he walked over to to my books cuz they helped him quite load off the kitty ones. And he picked up the one. What is it called? A little babies? You come across that one. I haven't. I'm writing it down though. I will babies and I will, I hope you ma'am. Let me grab the the order so it's a really beautiful and yeah, it's called our babies and it's by Martin waddle. And it's illustrated by Patrick Ben Branson. Now it's a relatively old book. I got a second-hand version on Amazon but he picked this up off and the story is is basically about one night. These three baby owls. Wake up and Mom has gone. Okay. And they're, they're in the dark and they're they're in a forest and it's nighttime and and the three babies react very differently. But the youngest is is distraught and very worried and very much just cries out for Mom throughout the book. And and then, of course, mom eventually comes back after they try to comfort each other and, and do all sorts of things. Mom comes back. And I just love her reaction cuz she comes back. And she says, what's all the fuss? You know, she could come back and I remember, he picked up this book, and I read it to him. And he kind of looked at me, when I finished, she looked up at me and looked at the back of the little baby. And put his hand over the smallest owl and then just closed the book and put it back on the Shelf. But that will him, you know, he's, he's not baby owl, you know, as soon as this goes upstairs in high circles, the bathroom work goes to work. He's worried the whole time, you know, where's mom wears?
Online Poker vs. Live Poker: Why You Should Strike a Balance
"Ultimately for the listener having a balance of playing some online and some life is just really priceless. Because you play a lot more hands on line you learn a lot faster and you know if you're using it as a learning tool you don't even have to play like super big right like you can play smaller and still improve your fundamentals as poker player. That's a really big one. Actually and it was kind of funny for me as i ended up focusing on. Mtv ts later on during the pandemic and realizing like okay. When i'm actually doing this other grind like not only do i not have to play that big for the purposes of improvement or you know sort of dot kind of motive thinking but like at the level of volume. I was playing like i didn't eat. Ab i of an average i into like more than fifty dollars to like have really big swings in like a day or in a week and so it was. It's it's can be kinda deceptive to where like you're not playing that big but suddenly you're playing like for ward eight t simultaneously and it's like okay the like true stakes of what i'm doing right now in terms of like the volatility. If you were to compare it to like one tabling is like you know four to six times more so Yeah i think there's so much value to begin from it. And i always been somebody who bounced back and forth between online and live these like brief stints where i focus pretty much exclusively on online poker Have always been. I've always been really valuable. And i've always represented like the biggest sport in my game whereas the times live. Maybe they represented lake the largest monetary gain. But where i maybe i in stagnated hard. Didn't like leap forward ever In terms of like fundamental than theory. You know i could improve other areas for sure. Like social You know seeking out additional edges like this kind of stuff matters in life poker and it doesn't really exist that much in online but at the same time those things don't further your ability to be games long-term in the same way that having solid fundamentals does having a really good grasp of theory does mean my co-host for tactical tuesday jon has been playing online poker really for the first time in his poker career since the pandemic believe it was like he started coaching with me. An august playing hundred no limit and by january. He's playing one k no limit and like ripped off a fifty k. Win in january and he was recently vaccinated and going back to the live poker streets because that was like where he came from and like he had just started. Shot taking it like live five ten and he's like asking me questions about like you know ten twenty uncapped games and like what are the expected swings. And i'm like dude like it's not as swiggy as you think it is even like ten twenty game you know like you're going to win or lose probably three buy ins on average on a day. It's rare to like swing ten brian's in either direction like very very rare like on two hands. I can count the number of times that. I've swung ten plus by and alive booker session. So like basically you're going to get in there and you're gonna realize like even at ten twenty six had never played before is much smaller than and playing one k. l. four tables at the same time against you know effectively much better

Etsy Buys Secondhand Clothing App Depop to Tap Into Gen Z
"Fz announced this morning that it is buying the london-based fashion resale app depop. I was not familiar with depop but apparently it is very popular with gen z. And apparently it was worth one point six billion dollars to quoting the new york times the cash deal which is expected to close by the third quarter of this year underscores the growing influence of clothing resale platforms more. Shoppers are turning to the second hand market for something cheaper and potentially greener as the overproduction of clothing increasingly adds to landfills. The trend appears to have been accelerated by the pandemic as more shoppers. Look to declutter wardrobes. Earn cash by selling their old clothes or set up fashioned customization businesses from their bedrooms
Hands from $5/$10 Online 6-Max Cash
"We'll just jump right into it then a and that actually. This had got reviewed poker power on wednesday and there are a lot of Differing opinions. On what i should what people thought i should be doing So go flip it back to you and see what what you have to say. Hand starts with me opening the cutoff at five. Ted nolan that with pocket. Jacks the button only have two hands on him but appears to be fish. Flat the button and the big blinds. Who i'm guessing as a also don't have too many hands on him also calls we go to a nine four deuce two-tone flop the big blind checks off again. I pocket i check. I'm going to be checking range. Multi way Especially on a board. Like this. I think and then the fish on the button. That's forty dollars in to seventy to fifty the reagan the big blind raises to one hundred and ten dollars and i was pretty lost what to do facing the check. Raise with an repair multi. Yes so when we were looking at this hand before in the run through. I think that in game you were not clear as to whether or not the button was a fish because they do have mostly full stack. My intuition told me kinda straight away before you even described anything about the hand that the button was a fish because they had nine eighty in their stack. The blinds go through. That would be ninety nine hundred five. I got the feeling that they were fish. But then when they bet forty into seventy two on the flop. I think that kind of confirms that there a weaker player in the pool. Because i don't think that's sizing should like be thing. Whatever it is that they. I don't even know. What percentage that is that they chose to bet they're a little bit more than fifty percent so yeah like basically the button who is a fish. That's about sixty percent and the big line to looks to be a rag and intuitively. I would imagine they are oreg check raises less than three x here here than the actions back on us with our jackson. Nine four two hearts so my first inclination here is to bet three bet or not bad three bed. Check three bet. And that's for a few reasons number one. The buttons forty dollar bet because that designates them a fish. I have to imagine that the big blind wants to raise choose a larger sizing with their sets and their value. So that kind of small check raise from forty to one. Ten makes me believe that like they could be doing this fairly wide. They don't necessarily just have to have like sets or even like a street as five of heart type hands. They could be doing this with like top pair just as protection. They'd be doing this with just whatever they could check raised with like jackson diamonds. Trying to run a multi street bluff. I guess again objective diamonds. We got jack of diamonds. But you see my point right like basically some sort of back doors type type hand and the reason that i want to put more money in the pot now Kind of smallish around two thirty five ish to thirty by my go-to would be like to thirty four. But i can't tell you why secret proprietary information is to thirty four but because i think the check razor doesn't necessarily have sets here all the time like they've got an expanded wider range than that we can check raise against them just fine. I don't wanna flat because we flat that gives the button a great opportunity to call and realize equity getting just an amazing price. I think at that point if we flat. There's like three thirty in the pot. They've got the call seventy two win three thirty so they're getting like close to five to one and our hand does need some kind of
Biden Unveils Record $6 Trillion Budget for 2022
"That's how much President Biden is proposing for federal spending next year. His budget was released today and it would amount to the highest sustained level of federal spending since World War two. With investments and transportation, education and combating climate change. Let's take a closer look now with Michael Regan, he's senior editor at Bloomberg News, Mike Welcome. Oh, thanks, Peter. So of course, this is something that would need to pass Congress. It's far from becoming law. But if you view this as a vision statement from the president, what does it say about his vision? All right. You're absolutely right. It's more a wish list than the actual budget that will pass. But as far as his statement, Peter, I think the main priorities are he wants to kind of bolster the safety net for the less affluent sort of more at risk members of our society. So more education, spending, more social welfare type of spending and Programs to allow people to get the child care they need to pursue better employment. That sort of thing as well. On the other hand, is also a priority to sort of repair a lot of the infrastructure in the country. That's needed that stuff like Bridges and roads and bolstering the green energy infrastructure in the countries. Well, so kind of Ah, two handed priority from from this administration. And that's
The Bare Bones HUD for Tourneys and Anonymous Sites
"So the barebones hud has seven elements to it. I'm gonna hit them each one at a time right now but i forgot to mention this earlier before the combat if you go to the show notes page for today smart booker said dot com slash bare bones hud. You can see a youtube video. That i posted there showing exactly how to create the seven element hood for yourself already. So the first element is the note editor now. This is in poker tracker for the no editor is super important because it's necessary for color coating your opponents by player type once you make some kind of read on them also in case you want to put a player note for when you're reviewing hands later on that note editor is important and lastly within the note editor if you've never actually opened up and take a look or taken a look. There is an auto notes feature that list. The hands that your opponent has shown down and how they played them pre flop did they three bit with pocket kings did they call with pocket kings. Whatever might be now. The second element is the player name now of course this is especially useful for tournaments when players. Come and go right as you're playing. You're paying attention to the action or paying attention to another table. Maybe and you might miss that. Bob one-two-three he left the table and is replaced by susan. Seven eight nine but that hud sometimes doesn't catch up for one or two hands so it's a really good idea to see that name. Make sure they correspond when they do. You know those hud stats belong to that player and now you can make some reads based on the base on the percentages to exploit them all right. The third element is the number of hands. Of course the more hands you have on a player just the more reliable. The numbers are in general. I think that reliability kind of begins at eighteen hands. If you're playing six. Max that's three orbits or flooring to orbits right so everybody has seen every position at least twice or three times. You start to develop reads right there. I'm not saying it's one hundred percent reliable. But that's where it begins. Eighteen hands two. Or three rounds. However you can start to understand your opponent after just four hands. Truly if they're v. Pippen forehands is one hundred percent. You're likely against a lose player right likely. Not one hundred percent sure but it's pretty close loose play right. There played for hands out of the four that you've seen them and being dealt if there is zero percent in twelve hands very likely a tight player now. Let's couple this with some other stuff right. If they're veep hip in four hands is one hundred percent. And you're thinking to yourself sky. That's not good enough to know that he's a loose player. Well what if you've been paying attention and you've seen those forehands where he v pipped two times. He called a to bet the two other times he limped and called a raise. Yeah now that you couple the actual actions. They've made with that one. Hundred percent v pip. You are up against super loose and passive fish and it's only been four hands but here's one of the critical things you've got to be willing to change any early. Read that you make. Because as you play more hands their stats are gonna converge to their actual tendencies. And maybe that's around fifty sixty hands or so and anything beyond that one hundred two hundred and you get yet. You're pretty darn certain that those numbers are they're tendencies and you can really start to exploit it then all right. So those first three things were elements not statistical elements but just useful parts of the hud. These next two right here are where the stats start in. These two are the most critical stats to have v. pip and pf are now these an initial read on their player type over time. Like i said everyone's tendencies play out and the numbers converge and you can be pretty confident that that forty slash five player. Yeah super loos fish right the other eighteen slash six team player totally tied aggressive. That's probably what your stats end up in the long run and that other guy thirty three slash twenty-seven yeah super loose aggressive player. Right and that other player even the maniac fifty slash forty two you have super maniacal player now by knowing their player type and just using. Epfr to get you that you can better play the player with your list of general exploits that you know work against each player type
Grieving Your Ideal Body Weight
"Feel like so many people who identify as dieters or like the healthy friend or the one who tries is always trying to lose weight or is always trying to you know do a diet or be the fit friend or whatever it is you know regardless of what your body size is when you're going through all of that and maybe you don't even identify as that but other people have identified you as that right and we can all see this especially when we go to you know if we think of our families the people that we typically see around the holidays like oh aunt. Susan is the one that's always on a diet. You know something like that. But i went through a similar process of you know always being like the fit friend and the healthy friend and the one who was always looking at food blogs and stuff like shocker which led me to start my own food blog that was borderline disorder at the time right. But then you know when you are going to this process of. Oh my gosh. Everything that i've been doing is not actually contributing to my health. It's taking away from my happiness. And it's gotten to the point where i feel like my value that i provide in. This world is just based on my body size there. Is this grieving period of like. Oh my gosh. I've been one. I've been hurting myself this whole time. And then on the second hand it's like what do i do going forward and i feel like a lot of people especially when they go through different life. Changes like you mentioned you know moving in with your boyfriend now husband at the time kind of forces you to go through that change and it's really uncomfortable because you don't want to go out of your routine out of what feels good to you right because like habit routine were like. Oh i want to stick to that and anything outside is like no no. That's not my comfort zone and especially when it can lead to body changes or what feels like a loss of identity. It's like you said you're like grieving past self but then there's also this worry of like if this isn't me who am i. And what do i do going forward. And then the like a bigger crisis of how do i actually find happiness in a body that is not so tightly controlled by like what you said are these diets that are basically like sanctioned disordered
The History of Animal Trials
"According to author ep evans in the criminal persecution and capital punishment of animals. There were two types of animal. Trials are strengthen and their process. Their straw phin were for capital crimes. Which would warrant the death penalty. I e homicide usually committed by pigs horses and other larger domesticated animals which were presided. Over by a secular tribunal. Their processor were judicial proceedings in ecclesiastical courts against vermin like rats mice locusts and weevils the object being to spell the vermin from the orchards. Vineyards and croplands. They were eating by means of exile extra schism or excommunication in sixteen fifty. Four sentences were handed down against of locusts in a spanish obvious. Santamaria the last sentence calling for the locusts excommunication and in order for them to leave the region in the next fourteen hours bishop alonzo de madrid excommunicated another plague of locusts condemning them to confinement in a cave and a bishop in cordova excommunicated a flock of swallows that had set up shop inside their parish. These were at best here. Eric victories just to make the people feel better. While evans's book lists nearly two hundred such cases the animals in their process cases never really seemed bothered by the ruling domestic animals. Barely listen to us. What do we expect. The wild wants to do either way. It was thought to be important that the animals have day in court. Why not just exterminate the offending critters. We're pretty good at that. Since even weevils and rats were considered god's creatures the destruction they caused must also have been part of the plan so destroying them would be an act against god's will but if the animals were tried in a church court and excommunicated or otherwise condemned then it was kind of okay for example in the fourteen eighties. The cardinal bishop of autun in france ruled against some slugs that were ruining the estate grounds under his purview. Ordered that for three days announcements be made to the slugs that they were to leave the area or be cursed. They didn't leave so it was game on for the gardeners to get rid of them. On purely legal side of things were the cases against livestock typically for murder. Apparently pigs are just mad for murder at least when it comes to humans and most cases involved them eating the victim whole or in part. This was a time when both animals and children might freely roam through fields and streets and accidents did happen. Pigs may not eat everything as people think but they will taste everything and god help you. If they find out your made of meat it reminds me of a bit from zora. Neale hurston story where the family sow gets into the kitchen where toddlers zora is alone and her mother panics. Even though the sal was less interested in eating. Mrs hurston baby than the other way around evans describes one fairly typical case from thirteen. Seventy nine in which two herds of swine were feeding together. When suddenly three pigs became agitated and charged the swine. Master's son who died from his injuries. All of the pigs from both herds were tried and fort after due process of law were condemned to death on appeal. All but the three instigating piggies were later pardoned. The courts really do seem to have put effort to try animals in the same way they would humans which is less woke than it. Sounds when you remember how readily the death sentence was handed out in those days. I've never tried to hang a pig. But given their incredibly muscular necks. I imagine it doesn't go easily. Also high ranking in the crimes animals could be charged with was bestiality. Although those cases were usually known to go in the animals favor both the human and the animal might be put to death but sometimes the case could be made that the animal was not at fault as it didn't consent to participate in the act so it wasn't punished if they were convicted. The animal might actually be imprisoned with the human who got them in the mess in the first place. In those cases the owner of the animal was charged for the animals care and feeding as a sort of second hand punishment for as much as. I'd like to say that animal. Trials are brutish fossil symbolic of a decayed era gratefully forgotten and i've got stickers for anyone who can identify that movie quote without googling it cases persistently pop up even in more recent times in tennessee in nineteen sixteen. An elephant named. Mary murdered her trainer. The strangest verse of the cell block tango ever and was hanged with crane in nigeria. In two thousand nine a goat was arrested. After a mob of vigilantes told police it was a shape shifting car thief no word on how that case turned out of all the creatures critters and creepy crawlies that plagued late medieval france. None could hold a candle to the weevil ricochets artists not to be confused with the palmetto. Weevil rinca forests fabricius the largest weevil species. You might say are. Eras is the lesser of two evils. Working the first complaint against the insects was made by a group of grape growers in fifteen forty five which resulted in a proclamation for the public to atone for their sins in hopes that the weevils would leave and it worked a generation later though the weevils returned and the town was forced to take them to court lawyer. Antoine filial was appointed the weevils public defender after all. It's hard to carry cash in carapace. So they reason. The weevils wouldn't be able to pay for representation feel argued that his clients had been placed on earth by god along with the food that they needed to survive. And it wasn't the bugs fault at that food happened to belong to some local farmers. The prosecution who i will picture being played by sam waterston and his glorious eyebrows contended that animals are meant to be subordinate to man and the weevils towing the line. The villagers believed their sins. Brought the pests. Have a real future as a mall and you think abou- what malls have been about. They've been about brand name clothing and other brand name items. There used to be these things called department stores You might have to look and An online encyclopedia to know it. A department store is. I'm exaggerating but come on department. Stores are irrelevant now. So what do you do. If you're a brand name you feel like you have to go into business for yourself. And that's why there are these outlet centers on the edges of metro areas and interest areas. All over the country in so you go to these things. I'll be brand name. "Right so i'm i'm deployed so i play most of my video games in our little mwr facility you know in public right exactly so i mean like now by like recently i've been playing a boatload of fortnight phenomenal games immensely popular there's no nudity in it but you know i want to play some grant that donna wanna play some god of war i wanna play some far cry five or something and then some freaking weird sexiness comes up and of course that's right when like you know random person walks in and i'm having a press axe to thrust you know because it's like you have to do it as part of the story and i just feel awkward as crap like leland's a loser look at him playing virtual sex it's like when a new team comes up on when you're watching a movie on your ipad on an airplane you know like i have to put my ipod ipad down because i don't want someone to think i'm doing something unseemly on you know the deadline say the same thing because there's plenty of shows like i've i've got westworld on my ipad and i can't watch it on a flight or anywhere public because you feel like some sort of pervert and you don't and it's not only that like i mean i try to be cognizant of like is your child sitting behind me like you know like hey man look at that you know the dirty bearded freaking white guy watching his porno on the flight over here you know the difference between being like not a worrying about offended someone and just being respectful like that's being flight right right yeah it's being respectful yeah exactly but i just i could definitely do without reading second video games i don't need it except when you're watching chris how movie on your way to kuwait weird when i'm like implying iraq and they're playing twelve strong inflight movie like he's gonna get awkward i've done it i've watched it i'm like man i don't know if this is right or not screw it watch firefly for the fifteenth time sitting next to me and i'm like why are you rooting for the taliban those are the bad guys it'd be sorely disappointed when this movie is over spoiler alert we win look at that man's faith look how handsome it is do you think they're going to kill him off you know who that is branding cooper bro they're not killing bradley cooper off learn to cooper off man who was it happened off camera though all right man i'm chomping at the bits for these listener questions man okay all right so let's let's throw some of these out here what have we got with what do we got you got to pull it up real fast dude that you gotta prep me for second okay you can't hey there's there's this i got open up facebook i talked to like five we have in seconds maybe i'm still going on it now so west but one kicked it off because that was a manscaping okay and it wasn't questioned it actually has an exclamation point i'm super excited about saving my dick so matt you need to write us in less know what you're doing that you're so excited about now are you asking a question like how to do it or if you're doing it wrong bruises morning routine he's just like manscaping we're both record manscaping i don't know you busy i will say that manscaping is necessary it's necessary notice dude because otherwise otherwise you just get a jungle going on down there nobody likes that nobody nobody wants that someone was nobody wants it tangled up in there and lost in it so you're you're able to look past your partners lack of manscaping west that what you're saying just my own just just my own because of course if i'm gonna sleep with a dude i'm top clearly all right so we're not we're not looking to you the shave any hearts in there or designs i think you're going for a you're.

"In that game and you going to be able to see like their dicks so i just thought that was a really weird thing for them to point out about the game hey just one of those guys let you know is gonna be peanuts in this game i gotta ask though if you really think about the big picture is it ever necessary in a video game no i don't like you don't hang on i'm going to take a break i'm gonna go bang this chick like don't you go touch i know that i'm kind of in the minority at least i don't know at least one this or just in general i think that for the most part that sex nudity doesn't have that big of a place in entertainment as a whole like we've said before like i would rather have six extra minutes of story in game of thrones than the six minutes of sex and gratuitous nudity that they have every episode i don't need that like like i've just before it's very rare that it has a real purpose like game it's actually had a few times the shock value loan with like the lancasters like that kind of created part of the story is shock value but overall just general sex doesn't have anything to the show and that's three or four minutes of it you like all right i get it they're humping right and i've said a million times there's in tires genre of cinema air quotes dedicated to that if i wanna see sex like there's this thing called pornography you can watch that i don't i don't need it in my you know incredibly well written scripted show that what was it altered carbon that we all really liked i think it was great i can't wait for season two that was kind of one of my small problems with that that i thought there was some over the top gratuitous nudity that was just to me when it was happening like the second to last episode where the fight between the one chick and all her completely naked clone i mean they're they're they're not going to grow the clone with close so it can get where they go it wasn't to me it's when it's in a sexual round that really doesn't have part of the story a lot of times like all right they're going to have sex they had sex got it we don't need to tell me that i thought that looking at the choreography was amazing it was a good like i don't know five seven minute fight scene that was an amazing fight scene it took away from it for me the fact that the chick was naked 'cause i thought that was silly well to me it was another one of those shock value like the chick keeps coming out and yeah she's got nothing they'll tools nope nothing just automatically boom going right into it because of our updates that's right that was interesting like that part doesn't bother me just general but it's like you said if you got to waste like fifteen minutes out of an episode with sex when you could like had i don't know mortar story a little bit backstory in another character i'd prefer that i almost wonder if the cost cutting a cough cutting mechanism could be man time filler yeah we're over budget and we're five minutes shorts for this episode short for this episode yeah yeah let's have john bang we keep getting this fan mail from this dude chris saying there's not enough sex in scooby doo in scooby doo so i don't know how we're going to finish this 21minute episode but i'm thinking i do now yeah dramatic dramatic i was reading something sorry sorry attract mind now but at the video game thing like i said if you really think about it's like again it's sexualizing young and it's keeping them from like instead of having to go out and find a real girl to touch plays video game because then i can get laid in the virtual world because it makes things weird for us normal adults all.
