"The biggest factor. That stresses their defense is when they the basketball over and so if you pick out games where they've given up a ton of points or areas they struggle and i'm not saying they're a top tier defensive team but when you're talking about trying to get that bet fifteenth range that middle ground the defense it all circles back to debilitate her. The basketball were able just to to get run outs get easy. Looks and second chance points and taking care of the defence class in that has been such a heavy emphasis in my mind of when you see them able to get stops because they closed out things really well why will because they get in the half court and they have to make some timely stops. They've shown inability to do that. James harden coming. Back like i do. You can look at what you want with what you view him. As fender one he takes care of the been him having another ball handler to be able to take care of the basketball. And to they're switching defense how they have communicated and moved and how he can offend dies in the post at times He was a strong defender. Even like you look at kyrie irving so much comes down to two effort level and engagement each possession which you see more at the end of games. The activity in him gets like there's a lot of areas in. Maybe it won't pan out maybe it will but there's a lot of to me i look i think kevin durant still come back from that injury. Y- he before he got hurt was probably the best defender that they had nicholas. Claxton is finally available after unit. Coming out of health and safety protocols Didn't play the other day. I think probably ramp him up as they get towards the end of the season But steve nash called him maybe one of their best defenders. They've been missing pieces at times. That it it goes back to again if guys get healthy I think you can aspire to be that that round of middle of the pack defense that can do enough to support your offense And what they anticipate to do in terms of putting up points. But i i've said this all season To me so much of it is taken care of the basketball because there has been games that teams have had twenty extra shot fifteen extra shots however many looks and it's made a major difference at the end howard were you. Much to repair: Bidens first day on the job
"My fellow americans a moment we have all been waiting for the washington yesterday. A new chapter began as joe. Biden was sworn in as america's forty-six resident biden junior do solemnly swear that i will faithfully execute. The inauguration displayed the unique circumstances in which he enters office surrounded by twenty five thousand national guardsmen. The ceremony took place with neither crowds. Nor mr biden's predecessor. But it's still featured some familiar inaugural hallmarks celebrity solos and a stirring poem written for the occasion by twenty two year old. Amanda gorman being american is more than a pride we inherit is the past we step into and how we repair it. We've incoming administration used the moment to project an image of well to choose a word that was often repeated. Unity are miss january day. My whole soul is in this. Bringing america together. Uniting our people unite in our nation. Mr biden takes office. Not just at a moment of disunity. In american politics but also a moment of multiple crises among the population president biden laid out at least four big challenges facing the country. It cologne is economists. Washington correspondent this time of testing. The first is simply containing covid. Nineteen pandemic has been raging for almost a year. Now four hundred thousand. Americans have died in a century virus in silence. Stocks country is taken as many lives in one year as america. Lost in all of world war two efforts to control the virus to vaccinate enough people to generate herd. Immunity have not been going. Well he needs to get ahead on that immediately. The second that he brought up is the economic situation right now. There are ten million fewer americans working than were before the pandemic started. Millions of jobs have been lost. Hundreds of thousands of businesses closed. Another is the crisis of racial justice that we saw erupt over the summer. In protests against police brutality. A cry for racial justice. Some four hundred years in the making moves us the fourth thing that he has to deal with it he emphasized quite a lot is the lack of unity. The feeling of partisan rancor between republicans and democrats. He emphasized that this was a moment for national. Doing this is our historic moment of crisis in challenge. Nudity is the path forward and we must meet this moment. As the united states of america. He acknowledged that although payouts to unity might seem naive. That america still needs to try to do those things i mean. It's a long list that that he got started on almost the second he set foot in the white house yesterday. President biden went to the white house and immediately went to work on a stack of executive orders. I think some of the things are going to be doing them. And there's no time to start like two days so he signed one. That started the process for america to rejoin the paris accords which set emissions targets for countries around the world. He signal that it was the end of the trump era by cancelling funding for the border wall on mexico. That trump had famously promised. He canceled the so-called muslim travel ban for citizens of muslim-majority countries and finally while wearing a mask while sitting behind the resolute desk. Something that president trump had not done. President biden signed an executive order. Mandating the wearing of masks in areas that the federal government had authority that is intended to signal that this is a president that will take cove nineteen on much more seriously and someone who believes unlike the previous administration that it will be primarily the federal government's responsibility to coordinate policy as opposed to leaving it up to the states. Okay but that's comparatively easy stuff. We we know that orders but what about the more complicated stuff that will take congressional backing the first bill that is going to consume the biden presidency is going to be another cove relief measure. It's supposed to amount to two trillion dollars in spending. It includes money for a vaccination drive for testing contact tracing and it includes some economic relief measures. They've signaled that the second big proposal they're going to try to get through. Congress is going to be a infrastructure package based on what he has laid out during the campaign we imagined that it would be also quite big perhaps on the order of two trillion dollars and this would be not only where things like universal broadband and roads and bridges trucial infrastructure. Get their day but also would be the primary vehicle. For president biden's main climate agenda items including massive investment in clean energy research tax credits for wind solar all those sorts of things will probably come in that second bill. Well that's what he wants. But what is he likely to get he. He does have a democratic majority in the house and in the senate but it's by the slimmest of margins so there are two ways that biden can get things through congress. The first is to attract enough republican votes to defeat a filibuster which is basically of rule that allows forty members of the senate to stall any legislation in other route that he has available to. Him is a procedure known as reconciliation. That's a budgetary measure. Which is immune to filibuster and often used by presidents with slim majorities to get some of their policy priorities through. It is a tougher route to take than the normal one. There are limits on what you can do what we've seen so far is that he's not shy away from proposing some of the biggest seeming most ambitious legislation that he can and i think the strategy here is to go big and let it get whittled down as you go through the process of congressional negotiations. And there's still the matter of former president trump's impeachment trial i mean. How do you think that will affect mr biden's ability to agenda going so the main problem with impeachment is that it will take up time on the senate floor because all the senators will have to be present to hear the evidence against former president trump and to decide. Eventually that is floor time. That could be used to confirm. President biden's nominees. The be used to confirm judges that could be used to debate. Legislation the sentence on session that much. So that's the main problem and the biden administrations actually hinted at the fact that they are somewhat worried. That impeachment might take up some of their time. But there's no indication that it is going to be stalled. Seems like it's gonna start relatively soon and probably what what might happen is split sort of schedule where the impeachment trial doesn't take up all the time that the senate has available. It's an understatement. To say mr biden has quite a lot of work to get done here do you. Do you think he's up to it. Do you think he is the man for this moment. Biden comes to office with half a century of experience in washington dc. He comes to office as the oldest man at seventy eight years old to occupy the presidency. He is an elder statesman. He might not serve more than a single term. He sees his role as someone who can turn down the flames of america's partisan warfare right now and he sees himself as a bridge candidate between not only the flanks within the democratic party but some conciliatory republicans right now given the crises. The country faces given the problems of hyper partisanship and mutual antagonism and loathing. You know an attitude like that will make market shift from what we had before coming from the white house so with purpose and resolve we turn to those tasks of our time sustained by faith driven by conviction devoted to one another in the country we love with all our hearts may god bless america and you might be naive to feel optimistic after the events of the last year but i think that there is some grants optimism this
On EU's doorstep, UN raises alarm for thousands of young migrants sleeping rough
"Whatever. Two and a half thousand migrants and refugees have been forced to sleep rough in bosnia herzegovina for several weeks on the european union's doorstep despite the fact that suitable sheltered accommodation is available in an interview with you and uses daniel johnson. Peter our chief of mission in bosnia for the migration agency describes the of trying to find a quick solution to this urgent problem. You also explains why it's so important at all. Countries abide by their international commitments to helping vulnerable people in line with the global compact for safe or leeann regular migration adopted by majority of u n member states in december two thousand and eighteen years ago has been a transit country for migrants from greece trying to reach other parts of the european union. Since dan rea two thousand eighteen we've had a perennial problem of a lack of accommodation in bosnia herzegovina. Each window reface seamer thought john just but this year to challenge is actually larger because we have two thousand five hundred eight thousand five hundred refugees in bossier to gopinath sleeping in inhuman conditions. The reason for this is the ability of bosnian political system. If you want to decide where accusations should be because ironically or or cynically she won't. We actually do have sufficient spaces in two centers that we could open within twenty four hours but because a political resistance at the local level do locations. Dc's not happy so it's not a matter of the seasons. It's not a matter of money but it is a matter of political decision-making which obviously now he's ready urgent because the winter conditions are getting worse as we speak so you say that there's a problem of administrative procedure and there's also local opposition to housing the migrants. So that's a very difficult position for you to be in but as you say. The immediate problem is is really urgent. Because it's so cold and the camp that to the emergency count the leaper. Emergency tent camp burned down after being closed because it wasn't suitable for migrants didn't have electricity water. So what exactly is the un migration agency managing to do to help these people well. We're certainly pursuing a two track approach if you like the one we have increased our humanitarian assistance to people sleeping outside interest jackets winter. I sleeping bags sold packages we to get our partners. The danish refugee council and requested try to cover everyone while he's somehow reducing human suffering. Eat obesity does not provide an answer to the need for human accommodation while the other part of the work. We're trying to do trying to support the authorities at different levels to come together and to build a consensus as to where these new accusation could be. So these are the two efforts. But you're sort of stuck in as a un agency in the sense that while we have the resources it's not to or any other un agency to decide where my accusations should be that he's really up to the sovereign country in this case. Both here to go now to decide. I can just go to building erica. Dc sanal migrant accusations so. We're very much dependent on the local political process in while you can support while he can bringing ideas while driving people to get at the end of the day. You're dependent on local. Political decisions has the opposition to migration and migrants in bosnia. Been growing is it. I mean we're not talking about tens of thousands of people by any means are we know we're talking about today. In the county i would estimate about eight thousand five hundred. Marcus enrich In the country of three point five million inhabitants. That should not. I mean that he's not a a a large crisis by any stretch of the imagination There are two issues their first modern stint be located in two parts of the country canceling saudi avoid sonic canton and the frustration specifically again. He's as so being left alone in not heavy as sort of a national strategy. Few michael spreading these accusations center south across the country when it comes to the local population licenses. Debtors small minority that. He's very vocal on facebook older social media channels sometimes using a very phobic language my senses however that if you look at the majority of people they may not have wanted bosnia to become a country for transit migration but they do agree that while the migrants should be our country that they should be taken care of properly absolutely an just wondering what it is that the un migration agency needs to happen. Obviously you want to relocate migrants and for the most part they young men on the where are they from well in terms of the solution. The solution is relatively straightforward from humanitarian operational perspective. We need additional accusation in structures that are adequate ford winter. I think that's in terms of the solution where we need to go in terms of the makeup of the mike and refugee population. Here we have about eighty percents single males and twenty percent families with children and unaccompanied children usually boys between sixteen and eighteen for these families and children. We have sufficient activation so we don't have any families children or unaccompanied or separated children sleeping outside. The challenge faces itself with the single males in terms of nationalities. Biggest group Bangladesh of ghanistan north africa in iraq. He's the makeup of the population that we go have here. I'm what do they tell you. These these young men. Why have they come to europe. Well they've gone to europe of course. Individual circumstances differ but most of them have come to europe to look for a life somewhere fleeing conflict in afghanistan but many of them are looking simply to go to placing within the european union. Start working and send money back to their family. That is sort of the story. You almost universally here. And

"Second Gold. Try Ingram again. Second effort. Ingram fighting He's in touchdown. Ravens The power of Mark Ingram reports say that Mark Ingram had a good week of practice. And there is optimism right now amongst the Baltimore Ravens organization that he will be available. This, of course, is the night came Against the Patriots on NBC. So that one's going to be a call. Where? Look, if you're hoping to start Mark Ingram. Unfortunately, you're probably in a bad spot with your running backs. And so the good news. The optimism that he should play is probably enough where I would say if you have to make the decision. It seems likely that he's going to be able to go tonight. What if you're somebody who has other options, and you can wait on starting Mark Ingram. I would certainly do that He is. He's not even you know, He's not the guy he was last year where he was really the feature back along with Mark Jackson. We heard Lamar Jackson be outspoken this week about how on the rich Eisen show about how a teams are calling out some of the plays When the Ravens get to the line of scrimmage. That obviously is something I'm sure they worked on all week to rectify. Mark Ingram. He's stuck now in a trio of running backs, along with JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Both cabins and Edwards have been productive in Ingram's absence, so If I'm a Mark Ingram owner. I would definitely do my best to look for other alternatives because I think the only way you're gonna feel good about this game this week is if he's fortunate enough. To find the end zone. And you know that's really just going to be a matter of whether or not the Ravens find themselves near the goal line on his Sirius because again we've talked about this at length now this season. Greg Roman basically has a straight rotation with his running backs, and he likes to keep them all fresh show. I don't think I don't think Mark Ingram is a great start this week, but if you're desperate, he should be out on the field. Flashing takes it all the way for the touchdown. Patriots are right back in it. All right, so the Patriots on the other side of the ball against the Ravens, they have a tough matchup. Because the Ravens run defense is stout. In addition to that, the Harris I like that I just played He If you watch last week you saw on Monday night. He left the game late in the fourth quarter suffered a difficult chest injury was blown up on a play also dealing with an ankle injury as well. But there is optimism that he is going to be able to go tonight, which really just kind of makes the entire Patriots Backfield a mess. I was actually hoping that if Damian Harris took a week off, Rex Burkhead could be somebody who was interesting. But now that Harrises back, you've got the Harris Birkhead. White tram bridge. So just like the Ravens backfield a bit of a mess for fantasy. The Patriots backfield looks to be a mess again tonight with Harris probably likely to go and again against the Ravens defense that is difficult. Too difficult Proposition. Russell takes the high snap. Hands it off. Chris Carson pounces Williams Touchdown Seahawks person from five yards down. Unless you built a wall right in front of him, And even that probably wasn't going to stop him. Well, I guess we have clarity. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde have already been ruled out yet again this week. Now there is encouragement that Chris Carson Should be definitely in the mix and back for the Seahawks next week. So that's good news for Carson the owners out there, but this week he's not going to.

Protests of Indian law grow despite efforts to contain them
"Over the last month or two. We talked a lot about Indian. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's authoritarian -tarian political roots these anti Muslim laws in in rhetoric that he's been spewing In that includes you know annexing. The majority Muslim Kashmir region region it also includes a new law that would create a religious test for individuals who want to become citizens of India so this law says basically every religion but Islam would have a clear path breath to citizenship. But if you're a Muslim you will not. It comes on top of an effort for citizens in northeastern India to prove their citizenship or they get basically sent to a concentration camp or deported reported. So if you combine those two efforts right you could strip a bunch of people from Northeastern India of citizenship and provide the non Muslims away to to regain that citizenship. But you basically exiling all these Muslims would super fucked up So these laws set off a wave of protests and the government. Crackdown crackdown hard. I don't know if you've looked on twitter but there are tons of videos of protesters being beaten the reports of protesters being killed. I mean you can see police shooting. Tear your gas and Flashbang grenades into a college library And it reminded me a lot benefit footage of the students in Hong Kong. So you know. Modi's out there appealing for calm. He says this lies Isan designed to target Muslims. But let's be honest that's bullshit so again. This feels like a serious growing problem of nationalism. In India it's existed justed forever but it's clearly exacerbated by mody in this last election and now they're response is not surprisingly turning violent Especially when police police are beating people with sticks and clubs and you know worse so it just this is disconcerting. Yeah and you know he's tapping tapping into and we should underscore Modi is quite popular right. So this isn't the case of some guy using minority rule to impose US agenda you you know. I think what he's tapping into the or these kind of hindu-nationalist Sentiments in the country. Some of which have been harnessed by Modena's party of years some which have kind of been under the surface. And now this is all the forefront and I think the reason it does remind you Hong Kong or impart the tactics but also you know the sense like we talked with Hong Kong for Indian Muslims. This must feel fairly existential It must feel like The country you're living in is about to pass some point of no return where You feel like a second class citizen if that In so people despite the risks risks are protesting And and being met with this kind of force and and I think what this does show is in a lot of these societies around the world. Brexit Hong Kong India and frankly this year in our election next year people have a sense of the stakes involved And in that can lead to some serious. Tensions within

"Muller last two effort to fire Muller his attempt to fire mullet. Why he moved to fire Robert Mueller that the president sought to have mother dismissed June trying to stop robbing mother from doing his job. Stop Muller from doing his job. You mean from conducting a fake investigation for two years or rather an investigation of a fake premise. Robert Muller was chasing big foot for two years. That's what he was doing. There was no Russia collusion. President Trump was interfering with Robert Muller's Bigfoot, quest wise, big fella mind, you'll see in the next hour. I've got a special surprise for you all it's pretty funny story, actually. So you have to stay around for that. That's right. That's what we call a teaser in the business. But, you know, the robber Muller spent tens of millions of dollars looking for the Loch Ness monster. And now that he didn't find it. They want to tell us. Well, Trump tried to stop them from finding the Loch Ness monster. Guess what? There was no monster and he didn't stop him. But now they're saying that he thought about or talked about stopping that's a crime. That's a there's a solid Casey made that the president's constitutional authority allows him to fire Muller for any or no reason. John dowd. President Trump's former attorney he certainly has some thoughts on this play ten assigned to deal with Muller at no time to the president ever say, John I'm going to get rid of him. Cochran. Do it was just the opposite. His the message the president had for Bob Muller to me to carry one. You tell them I respect when he's doing number two. You're telling me, he's got my full cooperation number three. Get it done as quickly as possible number number four of whatever else you need. Yeah. Let me know. So that was always the best. And that's exactly what we did as you know, we produced everything without a documentary shirt out ally. Can you imagine it Washington something that a lie? Not only did President Trump not obstruct this investigation. The cooperation that he gave was far and above what I would have. Honestly, probably advised him to give I mean to not claim executive privilege, which would he would have been well within his rights to do. And would have probably saved a lot of the you know, sort of embarrassing behind the scenes conversations. And they're only embarrassing because the president is expressing his outrage at being set up at what was a frame job. And so he's trying to it. So I'm not even sure it is embarrassing. It's just that the media says oh well in order to try to beat the new cycle that day. He misled them on this issue or that issue. Oh, Trump's such a liar. Your Trump such a liar. The people that actually Trump such a liar. You know, they're the ones that were trying to get Hillary Clinton to be the next president United States. I haven't forgotten about that Hillary who, you know, wiped her server what with a cloth Hillary who said that she landed under sniper fire in Bosnia. Hillary who said there was nothing marked classified in her Email Hillary who said that she didn't know what the C marking meant confidential meaning for classification in her Email Hillary who claimed that she turned a thousand dollars into a hundred thousand dollars trading cattle futures by reading about it in the Wall Street Journal when the Wall Street Journal's. Pages. The time had no cattle futures coverage. There were other reasons how she made that money with connections in the state of Arkansas, but. I join you to sit here and Christopher Hitchens wrote a book if any of you are curious it's short. But man, it is good. No one left to lie to about the Clintons. The Clintons lied as much as anybody on planet earth could ever lie and not only did Bill Clinton do that for eight years including lying under oath, which he was not charged for. But then Hillary built an entire political career on lies. And they wanted her to be the president. They want to tell us how could you support Trump? He lies. Oh, yeah. Like the Clintons aren't lying all the time. Is it buck? Two wrongs. Don't make a right. Okay. I'm not saying what Trump does is. Right. When he lies. I'm just saying guy fights fire with fire. And I'd rather my side win. It's a pretty straightforward calculation for me. But they're saying, oh, he tried to fire or he doesn't try to fire Mueller. If the president were to fire more, you know, you could do call over to the department of Justice on the president United States on the leader of the free world. Hey, Muller, you fired. He didn't do that. So this is all just grasping at straws. This is this is nonsense from the lives, but libs are full of nonsense the.

"O'Hare forty one at midway forty-two along Chicago's lakefront next news update will be at eleven o'clock. I'm Andrea darlas Caesar the stories that matter on Chicago's very own seven twenty WGN. Back to the United Center. Blackhawks lose three one the Philadelphia Flyers. They remain at seventy four points said about the only saving grace out of the game tonight is that Amazon loss and even though Colorado one they're also sitting at seventy eight points. So the gap of the Blackhawks trailed that second wildcard remains four points. It just belongs to Colorado now instead of Arizona, and would you not Blackhawks with game Saturday in Denver against the Avs. And then the return date Sunday night here at the United Center against the ads as well. It just ramps up the urgency in those two particular games as there's now just nine to go while Colorado. The hawks have a game in hand on Colorado, which it says eight games remaining the door remains open, but time is running out. Let's get some post game reaction. Now. First of all, it's here from the captain Jonathan tapes. Wilson. Pretty good times. Still pretty frustrating that so the huge opportunity to a that. We fall short so stolen say we played as good on building that we have on the road. So we've got to find a better here. And we can't allow ourselves to full shorten candy points anymore. What did you see? Stop the team. Wasn't sure if it had session. Face all the time. Serious situation understand blow the whistle. But it's still there. We have another chance it's not the difference making a game. So. Goaltender guys done. There's always more. Find ways to win puck battles around the ghetto. Second efforts. Pretty finally we better in front of them. Here's his last night games. Yeah. Either way if we score not we gotta get some women's Moffitt. We're not going to find that poise and just moving the park and get an open for each other. I think we're things are going really well for us. Just four guys playing really well without the puck and being available moving too quick. Just being relaxed with it. So. I think your power it goes through ups and downs throughout the season. We've been hot at times. I think it's just a workout victim got to find ways to get back on the scoresheet made a difference for team Jonathan as you said, you gotta win these games now fortunate that you have Colorado these next two games as the team in front of you. Yeah. Can go one QA. So obviously, we want to the best occupy Sherwin control of who gives the points that these next to. Ernest losses. Boston. Just turning on this one. Facing a Gordon? Just to have about it. Greeted stocks. Cheers. Second third, and again like I said there's you can always do more try and find the second effort's going going the initial shot. We give them credit..

"By would that be a bigger difference? I think so I think that the chargers would've lost the patriots no matter where they played yesterday. And you think so I do think it helps playing at home for sure. But when I mean, what we saw I don't think Anthony Linwood coached better anywhere else. You know what? I mean. Like the game plan was terrible the patriots. They could have scored sixty points. This game was on track. At halftime be the biggest blow NFL postseason history. Of course, they stop scoring points. They started running the ball. They didn't like the chiefs game. They didn't have to keep scoring man. They what did they score at halftime wasn't like thirty five. Yeah. And they all if they would have the patriots kinda screwed up for not getting more points at the end of the half to the clock ran out on them. They could add another field goal could have been thirty eight at halftime was the over under the over under was. Fifty one points, and they almost hit it in the first half. They will the patriots single Hanley almost headed to like forty nine to fifty one somewhere in that. Yeah. It was it was an absurd game. And again, we talk about this. That's like every game. This postseason has been a out. A lot of them except for one which we'll talk about later, but like going into that Saturday after Saturday, we're like all these things were blow. It's not one of these games have been entertaining last-second second efforts to watch. But break we do need to go to a break when we get back. We'll talk about the NFC divisional round games the saints and the eagles as was the Rams and who do they play. I know this. I can't think of the name right now. He's completely boy. Rams be Dallas. Right. They showed up. No eight. No. They didn't get it. And it was we'll be right back right after this..
