These CS:GO Coaches Just Got Banned For Cheating
"The go seen just got by gigantic cheating scandal and no I'm not talking about a bunch of nobody's getting caught hacking and the F. L. This happened at the highest level of competitive counter strike and three coaches were banned and on top of that, there's been a second investigation with up to potentially fifteen different cases of match-fixing happening at the semi pro level. It's been a rough month for couch. All right. So for a while now we've been streaming over a twitch dot TV slash the score, east sports with our talk show clouded, and if you love the stories that we cover here on donut mean well, you're GonNa love some of the conversations that we have over on twitch. We break down some of the biggest stories from East sports in streaming and we talk a little ship while we're at. So make sure you follow the channel and hit that notification button. So you know exactly when we go live and you can watch me get roasted for two hours straight the news. Of this cheating scandal broke day after esl one Cologne finished is published an investigation and they say quote we were made aware that by taking a combination of different steps of Bogin Cisco allows the coach of a team to become a spectator anywhere on the map unbeknownst to anyone else and so yeah, this coaching exploit as it's being called basically allows a coach to place themselves anywhere on the map and then swivel their camera from side to side and theoretically take any info that they gather from that and give it to their players. It's basically one giant broken cypher cam like in foward. Check this ship. Now, the bombshell at the heart of ESL's investigation is the fact that they've proved coaches from heroic MIB are and hardly talk use this exploit at multiple different ESL events leading up to esl one Cologne. Three teams competing at the highest level of counterstrike cheated in the investigation is said that the exploit violated quote section six point ten, five use of glitches and quote of esl's Rupel to be very clear is says that all of this happened prior to the start of esl one Cologne and that in fact, the exploit was actually patched out prior to the tournament started, and so these rulings are the result of a long investigation that just happened to be published at the same time that he also Cologne was finishing. The investigation also says at what tournament the coaches abused the exploit hardly coach Makino gun use the exploit at esl one road to Rio on six maps in three matches Perot's coach. One Road to Rio and then from there, they go on to say that quote dead knowingly abused the coach spectator glitch to obtain an unfair competitive advantage and ours lower bracket round three match versus triumph at summit, six online on June. Now, as you can imagine, the punishments handed down in the response online was both fast and fierce. Here's ESL's punishments. All three coaches rox hunting is banned from competing and coaching an ESL events for a year. Dead is banned for six months and hard legions. Makino gun is banned for wapping twenty four months or a full two years on top of that all three teams will retroactively be disqualified from the tournament in question while also forfeiting both their esl pro tour points and the prize money earned from those tournaments man you sell is not fucking around and. Beyond the summit band dead from the next to be Vance while also retroactively disqualifying maybe from beyond the summit six and they basically have to forfeit their prize money as well. Now, at the time of recording this, hardly June is the only team that's released a public statement on the matter and they basically said that they've dropped mechanica quote yesterday we received. It was difficult for us to believe in Alexander's guilt but we had to conduct a personal investigation of this situation based on the results of internal discussions. With me she's one of the more prolific photographers streamers that are on twitch, and she has graci-graciously offered up herself to be interviewed as well as giving me some tips and tricks on how to operate and navigate in the world of twitch. I'm excited I was nervous leading up to this interview don't before I've done literally hundreds of interviews. Over the span span of a decade or so. But this one I was nervous work because this is a new experience this is a new world. Yes. So so far we dive into the world of twitch. Tell me about Michelle who is Michelle Jihad? Or a photographer, your husband's a documentarian like what is going on down there Yes I live in. Melbourne Australia. I am a professional music photographer I've been shooting for roughly ten dis, almost ten years. I've been married for the same amount of time. So intended. To. Gorgeous dogs that my life will allies. And to be honest I think like you know when you talk about who I am like a lot of my identity is very much wrapped up in what I do. I. Really. Being amusing photographer as my life I've thrown everything into it. I absolutely love my job. It doesn't feel like work like it feels. Like I have the best job in the world and I work with amazing people and I'm constantly inspired by the people that I work with the work that I get to do. And yet I think it's you know the last couple of months of has really thrown a bit of a spattering the work for me personally because because i. feel like that because I. Identify with what I do. So intimately, it really has changed my life and had to find. A, way to I guess. Put. All of the energy that I was putting into my life and my Korea into something else because I wasn't able to shoot and I'm still not able to shoot. Sorry, that's way twitch gaming and I started streaming five months ago and it's it's honestly a incredible. So yeah. Over you've taken over with a you like I'm I'm relatively new to it. So I'm like trying to find out you know who's who and what's what and all that stuff and your name keeps coming up over and over again in when people talk about you even when you're not on the street may refer the reverence that they attach to your name is like when fans talk about beyond, say you like the beyond shame Of which like how did that happen? How did you get that status on the service I? Definitely don't save I so like that I made I. I Guess Sin Vive like I like to support other people said I pop up in other people's strains all the time. I have time to do that at the moment. So I, guess that. Lends itself to making genuine friends and making genuine connections with people. I think I. Also, I have a decent social media following on other platforms I was able to bring. Like a I guess a relatively decent amount of papal arbor with me, sir. I wasn't ever street I wasn't even doing the hard yards and streaming to one or two people which a lot of people have to stop doing that hang on two seconds. My dog was. Crying, he wanted to be let out. So. I. Always had a decent number on still building that audience every day. But yeah, I, I definitely don't want to be taking credit being like the biggest. photographer. Strain were on the platform or anything like that. This this table, the debate. People like shoes. And this is about the guys that have been here for a very, very long time and I would take to take any credit away from the people that have been here. For since two, thousand, thirteen, striving and Being, on the platform for five months. So I feel like the people that have been here for a long time really set the groundwork. For for people like us and also anyone that started in the last few months also notice it. Those guys have really welcomed us with Arben really helped just like showing the ropes. It is enduring nature of the strategy that actually makes it substantially better with that in mind here strategies to build effective daily habits. So you can start right now. Strategies for effective daily habits star smaller the best way to establish a habit is beginning with something that you can one hundred percent absolutely do every single day you might feel pointless when you're doing five push ups per day but your ability to knock it out. Keep it small in the beginning is more important to do the action than to have the action be effective during that time. Establishing an easy win right away by getting rid of just one thing and building on that success. I've been considering different ways to apply the same thinking over new subjects. If you wanted to build a habit of doing daily push ups and start off by doing as many as you can possibly do. You're going to be too sore to do them the next day. This kills the habit. Before it starts men's game slowly builds up the habit in confidence of decision-making deciding over which things to let go of over thirty days almost five hundred items disappear. Br Stars with just one item on the first day. When I'm starting to realize. Is that what you care? Much about qualitative progress than simply making sure the short-term action aligns with that end goal celebrate the consistency of good habit versus progress toward a particular goal. I E success is going to the gym regularly. As opposed to losing weight weight loss might be the actual goal but focusing on that loses touch with sustainable short-term actions. They get us there and keep us there. If you'll strange since I started lifting weights again two months ago I decided to not make any fitness goals. My biggest problem has always been getting to the gym. Once I'm there I work out hard and do what I need to do to get a good workout is the actual act of stepping away from my desk or a couch putting on my workout clothes getting in the car and walking out the door that I've struggled with in the last few months I've been going to the gym three times per week while doing cardio and lifting of only weighed myself a few times out of curiosity. I haven't changed my eating habits at all. I've decided to focus on one thing and one thing alone getting to the gym at least three times per week. Where were you when you saw the first picture of the black hole?
"Pamela, this is a conversation that is two years in the making it's been April twenty seventeen astronomers from around the world turned their radio telescopes to wards the black holes at the heart of Imedi seven. And of course, the Milky Way and took pictures of the black holes at the hearts of both of them. And today this week Tuesday was it we Wednesday Haley the tenth two days ago Wednesday. I'm so tired. We. That I picture announcement. So where were you when you saw it? I was in the attic of my house live streaming the event with our Kuzma quest community on twitch dot TV slash cosmic west X where you should all be watching and sharing streams. And so we were hanging out watching it together. And I don't know about you. But I had this moment of okay? So they they got us with them eighty seven at the beginning. And now we're going to have that Steve Jobs. We're thing. But the thing was that never ever happened. And and I don't know about you. But about fifteen minutes into the press conference. I started getting nailed with press releases coming to us from Rick Feinberg and his fabulous press service at the AA S and I'm flipping through them. And I'm like, oh, expletive. There aren't going to be other images. This is it we only get 'em eighty-seven. And I sat there is like the science matches perfectly. And I am sad. Because I wanted our milky wet. I literally of this is great. Where's where's the where say J star? Like, the like, this will be the consolation prize. The main event the first course was supposed to be the black hole heart of the milk away. And it's funny literally moments into this whole process. I started to dig and talked to all of my contacts try and figure out why. So I do know. Probably kinda why. Compare stories because I did the same thing. Great. Okay. All right. So I'd her two reasons the first one is that the that essentially the there's a lot of dust in the Milky Way, we are inside the Milky Way with the supermassive black hole, the heart of the Milky Way. And so that dust is a is a harder thing to tease out of the signal and sort of the resolving distance of the adventure is Intel scope matched up in a way that made it a tougher image together. But the second one that I love even more is that the the is essentially that because the secretary say is a smaller black hole only four point one million times the mass of the sun. It's the and matters swirling around it so fast. It's a much more dynamic environment. And so they went with eighty seven because it is six billion times. The mass of the sun. And so the matter is swirling around it at the speed of light. But it still takes days to go around as opposed to minutes to go around. And so they were able to it was everything happened more in slow motion. They could test their techniques, and then try them out on on the supermassive black hole within the Milky Way. What what did you hear? I heard that. And then I also heard one more facet to that. Which is the angular size on the sky. So the apparent size that the black holes appear because they're two different. Distances means that Sanjay start isn't really bigger, even though it's closer 'cause it's a tiny little thing. And so we don't really get added detail on the part that's Limonov luminous enough to see now, my personal hope is that because we're seeing a faster moving system, and we're seeing close. Or system where the Limonov St. of the innermost part of the accretion disk were not seeing the black hole receiving the shadow of the lack whole my hope is that because that accretion disk is so much fainter. We're gonna get to see other faint stuff around it that isn't lost to the bright stuff. So even though the black hole shadow itself will appear probably about the same number of pixels in size hoping that there's going to be other stuff in the image as well. Yeah. And and the other kind of exciting thing is that because it is changing so dynamically there could be a possibility that we might see like an animation exactly exactly see events in folding over time to actually show what's going on environment. So it sounds like I mean, these two black holes they are the biggest visually on the sky. They're both some blue to Christly small number forty micro arc seconds or so. Something like that. I I've heard them say, you know, the size of a golf ball on the moon the size of an orange on the moon, very small, but they are both roughly the same size is just that the one eighty seven is two thousand times bigger and two thousand times farther
